- 0:05SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the Myth of Education Podcast,
- 0:08SPEAKER_01: where we expose corruption,
- 0:10SPEAKER_01: advocate for student safety,
- 0:12SPEAKER_01: and defend parental rights.
- 0:13SPEAKER_01: Everything in this podcast episode is alleged.
- 0:17SPEAKER_01: All rights are reserved.
- 0:19SPEAKER_01: Dan, kick us off.
- 0:21SPEAKER_00: All right.
- 0:22Well,
- 0:22you know,
- 0:23the big story in the news,
- 0:25certainly for Arizona and really nationwide,
- 0:28is the
- 0:29SPEAKER_00: child sex scandal going on in the Peoria Unified School District.
- 0:34SPEAKER_00: And that's not my home district.
- 0:36SPEAKER_00: It's probably not yours.
- 0:39SPEAKER_00: Maybe you're not even in Arizona,
- 0:41SPEAKER_00: but we're here with Tiffany Benson,
- 0:43SPEAKER_00: who is right there in the backyard of Peoria Unified School District.
- 0:47SPEAKER_00: This is a major scandal because it involves our kids.
- 0:51And more than that,
- 0:52it's a child sex exploitation scandal,
- 0:55a cover up,
- 0:57a political coup
- 0:59even involving,
- 1:00I mean,
- 1:00it's a political circus that involves conservatives.
- 1:04We all are familiar with political circuses involving a
- 1:07partisan debate and a
- 1:10SPEAKER_00: partisan battle,
- 1:11SPEAKER_00: but this involves what we conservatives consider the good guys.
- 1:16SPEAKER_00: And so it's a mess.
- 1:17SPEAKER_00: It involves betrayal.
- 1:19SPEAKER_00: It's even got a TikTok star.
- 1:22SPEAKER_00: So it's got all the recipes for something that
- 1:26people would be interested in,
- 1:27makes it complicated,
- 1:29interesting,
- 1:30and kind of tragic,
- 1:32really.
- 1:33Tiffany,
- 1:34can you kind of tell us,
- 1:35introduce us to Peoria as a town and as a school district?
- 1:41SPEAKER_01: So I'm gonna be a little bit technical.
- 1:43SPEAKER_01: It's actually a city.
- 1:45SPEAKER_01: is huge.
- 1:46SPEAKER_01: There's about 31 to 33,000, depending on which resource you consult.
- 1:54SPEAKER_01: They like to brag about how big they are.
- 1:56SPEAKER_01: So about 31 to 33,000 students.
- 1:57SPEAKER_01: It is
- 2:00We are largely conservative in the community,
- 2:04but we have a leftist board.
- 2:07And we're going to use the word conservative a lot on this
- 2:10podcast because we're
- 2:12SPEAKER_01: going to emphasize values over party.
- 2:14SPEAKER_01: More on that later.
- 2:16SPEAKER_01: So yes,
- 2:17we thought that we had a conservative majority on our school
- 2:22board here in Peoria,
- 2:23SPEAKER_01: Arizona,
- 2:24but one of the persons that we voted for kind of turned out to
- 2:28be a little bit of a
- 2:29SPEAKER_01: slob.
- 2:30We got to pick up the pieces and keep parents encouraged and
- 2:34engaged because those
- 2:37SPEAKER_01: of us who are actually fighting to protect children in our community,
- 2:43SPEAKER_01: we're not necessarily the ones holding power,
- 2:46SPEAKER_01: but the power we do have is in our voice.
- 2:49And so I am very thankful that a lot of the parents and
- 2:53community members in Peoria are active
- 2:55we went a little we went a little dormant after the elections
- 2:59in 2024 because again
- 3:01we thought we left the district in good hands but after the
- 3:04shenanigans that we
- 3:05have seen everybody's kind of back out there's a little bit of
- 3:09some scuffles going
- 3:10on but I consider it all to be you know in the name of
- 3:15protecting and guarding
- 3:16children they are a gift and a reward from the Lord as my
- 3:20scripture says and so
- 3:22SPEAKER_01: every parent needs to be
- 3:24alert to what's happening in Peoria USD because this is it's a
- 3:28flashpoint but I
- 3:30have to tell you but so was Virginia back in 2020 Loudoun
- 3:35County that was a
- 3:36flashpoint California so many things have happened Redlands
- 3:41California that
- 3:42district has paid out multiple millions of dollars to victims
- 3:46of sex crimes and so
- 3:48SPEAKER_01: I've been following these things for about 3-4 years those who know me
- 3:53They know I've been following this for a while and
- 3:55unfortunately it's just I don't
- 3:58SPEAKER_01: see any end in sight.
- 3:59SPEAKER_01: Parents have to take control of education.
- 4:01SPEAKER_00: Yeah, you're an expert in this field.
- 4:02SPEAKER_00: I mean,
- 4:03you were doing a school board watch list where you're watching
- 4:06districts across the
- 4:07SPEAKER_00: country.
- 4:08SPEAKER_00: I know, I think that's how I met you.
- 4:10SPEAKER_00: We were doing things in Southern Arizona and you had your eye on that.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You knew what was going on and you were our advocate, came alongside.
- 4:17SPEAKER_00: So it's,
- 4:18SPEAKER_00: I'm sure,
- 4:19a little bit near and dear to your heart when you see something
- 4:21like this happen
- 4:22SPEAKER_00: right there in Peoria.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: You mentioned that you thought you had a conservative board.
- 4:27SPEAKER_00: Can you tell us kind of real briefly
- 4:30SPEAKER_00: how the election went and what you expected.
- 4:35SPEAKER_01: So in 2024, right, we had three seats.
- 4:39SPEAKER_01: So every other cycle, it's two seats and then it's three seats.
- 4:43SPEAKER_01: So in 2024, we had three seats that were available.
- 4:47SPEAKER_01: We decided to, we tried to get two people elected.
- 4:53The reason why we ended up with a slate is because we had some
- 4:56shenanigans with LD27.
- 4:59and they basically just put a liberal who was registered with
- 5:03an R on the golden
- 5:04ticket and so that's how we ended up with Becky Proudfit on our
- 5:10board and the
- 5:11SPEAKER_01: parents
- 5:13Just to clarify,
- 5:14in Arizona and a lot of other places,
- 5:16school boards are nonpartisan.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: So that adds a little wrinkle,
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: right,
- 5:20SPEAKER_00: where they're not going to have an R or a D or an I next to their name.
- 5:24SPEAKER_00: It's a conservative in name, right, or in reputation.
- 5:31SPEAKER_01: And then the parents, they pulled through
- 5:35SPEAKER_01: with a grassroots campaign called Vote the Jays.
- 5:39And that was how we ended up with Jeff Tobey and Janelle Bowles
- 5:43on our board.
- 5:44So I think that LD27 was trying to convince everybody that
- 5:48Proud Fit was a conservative.
- 5:50SPEAKER_01: We all knew that she wasn't.
- 5:51SPEAKER_01: Actually,
- 5:51I was one of the last people because I basically told everybody
- 5:55to give her a
- 5:56SPEAKER_01: chance until we saw how she voted.
- 5:57SPEAKER_01: But all the parents, nobody liked her to begin with.
- 6:00SPEAKER_01: And then Toby recently just voted with the two leftists,
- 6:05SPEAKER_01: so that would be Proudfit and Melissa Ewing,
- 6:07SPEAKER_01: to basically unseat Heather Rooks from the presidency on our board.
- 6:12SPEAKER_01: My expectation in terms of how the election went two years ago,
- 6:17SPEAKER_01: I knew that Toby was beta,
- 6:20SPEAKER_01: like I could see it,
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: how he acquiesced at the LD meetings,
- 6:24because there's a lot of people that are under the impression
- 6:27that they hold more
- 6:27SPEAKER_01: power than what they actually do.
- 6:30SPEAKER_01: But when you're running for office,
- 6:32I think you're willing to smile in anyone's face to get where
- 6:36you need to be As an
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: activist,
- 6:39SPEAKER_01: as an advocate,
- 6:40I only have to be loyal to the truth So that's probably why
- 6:43I'll never run for
- 6:44SPEAKER_01: office here But the outcome of elections,
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: obviously,
- 6:47SPEAKER_01: is that they have consequences And so this is where we are now
- 6:53Well you know you laid it out really well you only know what
- 6:57you know at the time
- 6:59and the limited information you have you don't know the real
- 7:02character of a person
- 7:04you don't know even their political ideology until they're
- 7:07tested and what
- 7:11What more of a terrible time to be tested is when the safety of
- 7:16kids and their
- 7:19SPEAKER_00: sexual sanctity is in jeopardy in a case like this in Peoria.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: So we have two teachers who are now accused of exploiting one
- 7:31SPEAKER_00: football player at Centennial High School.
- 7:34SPEAKER_00: But there are probably more.
- 7:36SPEAKER_00: There's speculation that there's more kids involved.
- 7:39At least a lot of the kids and even staff may have even known
- 7:43about this months in advance.
- 7:45SPEAKER_00: And then it appears that there was at least a failure in reporting,
- 7:53which is a class six felony when it involves sexual
- 7:57exploitation of a child.
- 8:00but how would you describe how this might have been bundled or
- 8:04messed up or
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: mismanaged and how could have the optics been better?
- 8:12SPEAKER_01: Well,
- 8:13SPEAKER_01: first of all,
- 8:13the police report shows that there are more survivors of even
- 8:20the two alleged
- 8:22SPEAKER_01: predators because if a child sees pornography
- 8:28SPEAKER_01: If it's shared,
- 8:29we don't even know how far certain images and videos and stuff
- 8:32were shared of two
- 8:34SPEAKER_01: grown women being nasty with kids and then
- 8:38I mean as far as the optics go here's what I need everybody to
- 8:42understand right
- 8:43they think on the right that we're upset because Rooks was sat
- 8:47down and the
- 8:49reasoning behind why Toby stabbed her in the back is due to
- 8:52them people on the left
- 8:54saying that she had these political ambitions because she's
- 8:56running for office and
- 8:57all that even if that's true which I'm not here to judge her
- 9:01motives it is what it
- 9:02SPEAKER_01: is all school board members pretty much unless you just stay
- 9:07SPEAKER_01: that humble, I'm just here to fight for the kids type person.
- 9:11SPEAKER_01: If you get a little fire in your belly and your backbone gets up a little
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: straighter,
- 9:15SPEAKER_01: you are going to aspire for higher office.
- 9:18SPEAKER_01: And then other people do it for selfish reasons.
- 9:20SPEAKER_01: But what I need people to understand is that whatever her motives were,
- 9:24she was doing the right thing and asking for additional
- 9:29investigations internally
- 9:31SPEAKER_01: because it came about that
- 9:33the HR department did not do their job that the Centennial High
- 9:37School principal
- 9:38probably didn't do his job I say probably he didn't and what we
- 9:42need people to
- 9:43understand is that this is about protecting kids and if you
- 9:47don't want your
- 9:48district to look like you're covering up sexual abuse probably
- 9:52what you wouldn't
- 9:52want to do is publicly sit down the person that's fighting for
- 9:56the transparency and
- 9:58then you've got all the parents online now saying that you're
- 10:01part of a cover-up
- 10:01SPEAKER_01: you probably wouldn't want to put
- 10:04in place as your interim superintendent the HR director who
- 10:09oversaw the lack of
- 10:10internal investigations so as far as optics go I think because
- 10:15Peoria is so big
- 10:17they feel like they're going to outlive whatever scandal has
- 10:21been created which
- 10:22SPEAKER_01: will probably be true which is why it's on parents to take control
- 10:26It's the end of a school year by the time this episode airs
- 10:29will be into the month of June.
- 10:31Parents got a few months to figure it out before the next
- 10:35school year starts.
- 10:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah,
- 10:36things I've learned being an active parent and anybody out
- 10:39there who's been to a
- 10:40school board meeting to vent the truth to the board or petition
- 10:46the board for some
- 10:47action no matter how many parents are behind you will learn how
- 10:51powerful school
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: boards are.
- 10:53SPEAKER_00: I always say pound for pound,
- 10:55they're the most powerful government body in the United States
- 10:59because they can
- 11:00SPEAKER_00: just steamroll over parents,
- 11:02SPEAKER_00: steamroll over teachers,
- 11:04they as long as they look good or are perceived to be look good
- 11:10enough to get voted
- 11:11back in and realizing that nobody looks at the bottom of the
- 11:15ticket you know we are
- 11:17the people watching this are but a lot of people don't care
- 11:20about school boards so
- 11:21they know that they can do whatever they want and the only way
- 11:24to get out is to if
- 11:26we don't vote them out is to be impeached and I don't think
- 11:28that's ever happened in
- 11:29SPEAKER_00: Arizona not that I've heard of so and it would have to be really bad yeah
- 11:35To be fair,
- 11:37Peoria is one of those districts where you see the battle of
- 11:40darkness and light.
- 11:42SPEAKER_01: It's not completely just overrun with insanity like Scottsdale.
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: or Tucson Unified is not completely overrun with the demonic.
- 11:54So because you have somebody like a Heather Rooks or a Janelle
- 11:57Bowles or some up
- 11:59SPEAKER_01: and comers who would align with them coming onto the board,
- 12:02you can actually see that light battling the darkness that is
- 12:06coming from leftists,
- 12:08like our current board president and clerk and the third person
- 12:12that they vote
- 12:12SPEAKER_01: with.
- 12:13And I don't want parents to be discouraged in terms of things
- 12:16being lost.
- 12:18SPEAKER_01: It's a battle.
- 12:19SPEAKER_01: And if you read the Bible,
- 12:20SPEAKER_01: you know that from the beginning to the end,
- 12:23SPEAKER_01: there is a battle of evil versus good.
- 12:27SPEAKER_01: Good according to God's standards, not ours, obviously.
- 12:30And when it comes to children and their innocence,
- 12:33we should be willing to fight to the death.
- 12:36SPEAKER_00: Doesn't matter.
- 12:37SPEAKER_01: The death of your career, parents, if you need to
- 12:41SPEAKER_01: Do something to take control of the situation, whatever.
- 12:45SPEAKER_01: Your kids are worth more than your home or your business.
- 12:47SPEAKER_01: I think that's easier said than done.
- 12:49SPEAKER_01: But we have a situation where there's an epidemic.
- 12:53SPEAKER_01: This is not just one incident here and there.
- 12:56This is a disease in the United States public school system
- 13:01that adults are preying
- 13:03on children and none of our major law enforcement offices are
- 13:08consistently tracking
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: this,
- 13:10SPEAKER_01: studying this,
- 13:12SPEAKER_01: reporting on it,
- 13:13SPEAKER_01: prosecuting it.
- 13:14It has to be something big like Peoria Unified before the
- 13:18adults will even care or
- 13:20SPEAKER_01: believe the children.
- 13:21SPEAKER_01: It's disgusting.
- 13:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah,
- 13:23we get reports from academic studies that say up to almost 12%
- 13:28of kids say at some
- 13:29point in their K-12 experience that they've been on the
- 13:32receiving end of sexual
- 13:34SPEAKER_00: misconduct by an adult at school.
- 13:37SPEAKER_00: And then you go even less than that that have reported cases.
- 13:41And then you go even less than that that have reported cases to
- 13:45law enforcement by
- 13:46SPEAKER_00: staff when they're required by law to do that.
- 13:50And one of the things going back to the God issue is that we
- 13:55have a God who gives
- 13:57SPEAKER_00: us a perfect playbook on how human sexuality should work.
- 14:03SPEAKER_00: And what have we done?
- 14:04We've just thrown that out and laid down as the only rule,
- 14:09the rule of consent for these kids.
- 14:11SPEAKER_00: And we may have talked about this on a prior podcast.
- 14:14but when you do that what if a kid wants to be with a teacher
- 14:18in a sexual way
- 14:20that's consent I think that's why in Peoria we have a problem
- 14:25with the charges not
- 14:26yet being assessed is because by the time it all hit the
- 14:29headlines this kid was
- 14:32discernibly I think above the age of 16 and is now 18 and I was
- 14:38told has left the
- 14:39SPEAKER_01: state and graduated from somewhere else I can't confirm that
- 14:43SPEAKER_01: So everything is alleged, but yeah, that's where we are.
- 14:46SPEAKER_01: And I wanted to point out really quick before you continued on,
- 14:50SPEAKER_01: that 12%,
- 14:52SPEAKER_01: I don't know if that statistic is from the Office of Civil Rights,
- 14:57SPEAKER_01: the OCR,
- 14:58SPEAKER_01: because I know that they are connected to Title IX.
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: But the thing is,
- 15:02SPEAKER_01: to me,
- 15:03I always interpret that 12% to be the percentage of students
- 15:08that are believed
- 15:10the percentage of situations that are investigated and or there
- 15:14were policies that
- 15:16SPEAKER_01: were put in place as a result of an incident so 12% is very very low
- 15:23SPEAKER_00: Yeah, that's underreporting.
- 15:24SPEAKER_00: No question.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: And what kid would want to tell an adult this?
- 15:28I mean,
- 15:28you would have to have a driving motivation,
- 15:29I think is what you're saying.
- 15:30SPEAKER_00: You'd have to be drawing this out of the kids somehow.
- 15:33Well,
- 15:34at the Peoria board meeting,
- 15:36I want to say it was a couple of weeks ago.
- 15:39We can probably just put it in the show notes which board
- 15:41meeting it was because I
- 15:42SPEAKER_01: can't remember the date.
- 15:43But there was a student that came and spoke in favor of keeping
- 15:47rooks in power and
- 15:48SPEAKER_01: as the president and saying, we want this exposed.
- 15:51SPEAKER_01: We want adults to believe us.
- 15:53SPEAKER_01: We have to be able to, you know, talk about this.
- 15:57SPEAKER_01: But of course,
- 15:58SPEAKER_01: all of the students were just steamrolled by sitting her down and saying,
- 16:02SPEAKER_01: so we're not going to talk about this.
- 16:04SPEAKER_01: And then we have that raggedy superintendent, Dr. Summers.
- 16:07SPEAKER_01: Thank goodness he's leaving.
- 16:08SPEAKER_01: This was his MO.
- 16:10SPEAKER_01: I just wanted to throw that out there.
- 16:11SPEAKER_01: I don't know if anybody saw my op-ed in AZ Free News, but
- 16:15When he came from Lewis Palmer School District in Colorado
- 16:19there were sex scandals
- 16:20going on there and he was the superintendent at the time when
- 16:24the student was
- 16:25SPEAKER_01: actually allegedly sexually assaulting and harassing students Dr.
- 16:30Summers was in a position to put a stock to it and rather than
- 16:34that happening the
- 16:36SPEAKER_01: kid was allowed to graduate early
- 16:38and there was just there was a cover up and so now at the end
- 16:41of his career because
- 16:43SPEAKER_01: by the time this airs he's back in Colorado in another school district he
- 16:47successfully did a staged you know helped stage a coup on our
- 16:52school board and you
- 16:53know put people in control who are not going to investigate
- 16:56corruption and help
- 16:57SPEAKER_01: children
- 16:58SPEAKER_00: Yeah,
- 16:58we're going to put in the show notes the article that Tiffany
- 17:01just referred to from
- 17:02the AZ Free News op-ed that she submitted because nobody's
- 17:06really talking about the
- 17:07background of the superintendent that was there at the center
- 17:10of the scandal just
- 17:11so happened to go look for another job as soon as the police
- 17:14brought their report
- 17:15SPEAKER_00: to the district.
- 17:17SPEAKER_00: And, you know, I would tell you, Tiffany,
- 17:20SPEAKER_00: Some of the facts still need to be confirmed in this whole mess.
- 17:23SPEAKER_00: But if you were to try to cover up a child sex scandal,
- 17:29Peoria Unified School District is doing the exact thing you do
- 17:34to cover it up and
- 17:35SPEAKER_00: to cover your butt and keep everybody
- 17:38SPEAKER_00: in their jobs.
- 17:40SPEAKER_00: Do you know who's been fired other than the two teachers,
- 17:44SPEAKER_00: one of which I think resigned,
- 17:45SPEAKER_00: the other one was fired.
- 17:46One still has her certificate still with the Board of Education
- 17:50months and months later.
- 17:51SPEAKER_00: But other than these two people,
- 17:53who in administration was immediately fired as a result of this
- 17:57so that the
- 17:57SPEAKER_00: district can save face and move on?
- 17:59SPEAKER_00: Who was disrupted as a result of all of this?
- 18:02The interim superintendent named Ryan Leducer is the only
- 18:06person who has been
- 18:07punished that I can discern from in this whole situation
- 18:11because he he left
- 18:13SPEAKER_01: whatever job he left came to Peoria Unified and was learning from Dr.
- 18:18SPEAKER_01: learning the ropes from Dr.
- 18:19Summers hopefully not learning anything character wise from him
- 18:22but was going to
- 18:23SPEAKER_01: pick up where he left off and as of
- 18:29Friday May 22nd when we're recording this he has been replaced
- 18:33by the what's her
- 18:36what's her name it's a personnel manager I think or director of
- 18:40personnel yeah
- 18:41she's the director of HR visitainer is the last visitainer what
- 18:45the heck kind of
- 18:45last I don't know what that is but anyway so yeah he is the
- 18:48only person that I can
- 18:50discern administratively that has been punished when it comes
- 18:53to the Centennial
- 18:54SPEAKER_01: High School principal Scott Holibaugh
- 18:57SPEAKER_01: To my knowledge,
- 18:58SPEAKER_01: and someone can correct us if we're wrong here,
- 19:00SPEAKER_01: but to my knowledge,
- 19:02SPEAKER_01: that fool is still walking the halls.
- 19:04SPEAKER_01: Unfortunately,
- 19:05teachers and students still have to look at him in the middle
- 19:08of the police
- 19:09investigations that are still going on in the middle of the
- 19:11Maricopa County
- 19:12SPEAKER_01: Attorney's Office still investigating the situation.
- 19:15And I wanted to point out when the sex scandal broke out a
- 19:18couple of years ago
- 19:19SPEAKER_01: surrounding that psycho,
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Mr.
- 19:21SPEAKER_01: Orange,
- 19:22SPEAKER_01: basically the Peoria High School principal
- 19:27She was actually placed on administrative leave even though she
- 19:30did follow mandated
- 19:31reporting and she was eventually whisked away to some other
- 19:35position in the
- 19:36district and I know that there's probably some division on
- 19:39whether or not she
- 19:40should have kept her job or moved to a different place but the
- 19:44comparison by which
- 19:46she was treated versus Halabaugh is night and day and you know
- 19:50on the right we
- 19:51don't usually scream too loud about sexism but I just I just
- 19:54feel like I I
- 19:56SPEAKER_01: that he's getting to stay where he's at because he's a man.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: Interesting.
- 19:59SPEAKER_01: I can't think of...
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: I don't know any other reason.
- 20:02SPEAKER_00: Are you talking about the 2019 scandal at Sun Valley Elementary School?
- 20:06SPEAKER_01: No.
- 20:07SPEAKER_01: This was in 2024.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: Mr. Orange.
- 20:09SPEAKER_01: His name is Patrick Batillo.
- 20:11SPEAKER_00: Huh.
- 20:12SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: And he was recently charged.
- 20:15SPEAKER_01: with child sex crimes.
- 20:17SPEAKER_01: And in that situation,
- 20:18there was a mandated reporter named Holly Holgate who actually
- 20:22tipped him off when
- 20:23SPEAKER_01: the cops came to make an arrest.
- 20:25SPEAKER_01: When I recently tried to research her,
- 20:28I could not find any court documents showing that she had been
- 20:30charged with
- 20:31SPEAKER_01: anything.
- 20:32So this is the reason why mandated reporting,
- 20:35which is the law,
- 20:36is important.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: There's no reason why, even in good faith,
- 20:41you shouldn't be reporting something our goal right and this
- 20:44should not be a
- 20:45partisan thing our goal should be to protect children there
- 20:50really shouldn't be any
- 20:52issue it's not that complicated right right so as a result of
- 20:56that did the district
- 20:58say hey there was a big failure here and here's how we're going
- 21:01to fix it how did
- 21:02SPEAKER_00: that go
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: No.
- 21:06The excuses of why Heather was unseated is because they felt
- 21:11that her asking the
- 21:14Maricopa County attorney for an investigation specifically into
- 21:17mandated reporting
- 21:19was going to disrupt an investigation that was going on with
- 21:22the police department
- 21:23and with the two predators because those two had the most
- 21:26egregious crimes that the
- 21:28SPEAKER_01: cops would focus on that.
- 21:30SPEAKER_01: So what it would take is somebody with a keen eye to
- 21:33SPEAKER_01: like Janelle and Heather have to say,
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: hey,
- 21:35SPEAKER_01: there were additional laws broken that we wanna go ahead and look into.
- 21:40And the county attorney said that they gave the green light and
- 21:43said it was fine.
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: But I think from the school district's perspective,
- 21:47they just want to be able to hush everything up and move on and
- 21:50give out their
- 21:51trophies and say look we're the 85th largest school district in
- 21:57the state and we're
- 21:58so great even though our state is a complete big fat F when it
- 22:03comes to education
- 22:04they want to be able to parade their little A school ratings
- 22:08and the kids that are
- 22:09actually doing a remarkable job they're using that I think as a
- 22:13narrative scapegoat
- 22:15SPEAKER_01: on the ground level
- 22:16So they did nothing after this yet to make any acknowledgement
- 22:21of a failure or
- 22:22SPEAKER_00: certainly since they're not admitting any sort of failure,
- 22:25SPEAKER_00: no corrections.
- 22:26And then in the case about Mr.
- 22:28Orange,
- 22:29who you described as Mr.
- 22:30Orange,
- 22:30did they do it then?
- 22:32SPEAKER_00: Did they say he was goofed up?
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:33SPEAKER_00: And then he got fired though.
- 22:35SPEAKER_00: Okay.
- 22:36SPEAKER_00: Well,
- 22:36the only reason I think he got fired is because of the
- 22:39conservatives that were on
- 22:40SPEAKER_01: the board at the time,
- 22:41SPEAKER_01: which was Becky Hill and Heather Rooks.
- 22:44They and all of the parents and us grassroots folks made so
- 22:47much noise that there
- 22:49was no way that he was just going to quietly resign and be able
- 22:54to go teach
- 22:54SPEAKER_01: somewhere else whenever he got out of prison.
- 22:56SPEAKER_00: Well,
- 22:56here's the common thread to wrap this part of the conversation
- 22:59up is that in 2019,
- 23:00there was another incident that I referred to earlier at Sun
- 23:03Valley Elementary.
- 23:05SPEAKER_00: where Ricky Ordway,
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: who's in prison now in Kingman where he should be,
- 23:08was molesting young girls between 9 and 11 years old in front
- 23:13of the class for a
- 23:14SPEAKER_00: year.
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: And then he was removed in May after school was done.
- 23:19SPEAKER_00: And the parents sued and they wanted $25 million.
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: And the district,
- 23:25SPEAKER_00: in the midst of all this latest scandal on April 23rd,
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: they agreed to a settlement.
- 23:31SPEAKER_00: Nobody was,
- 23:32when everybody's got their eyes off the ball looking at this
- 23:35current thing with
- 23:36SPEAKER_00: Heather Rooks getting unseated and this big scandal,
- 23:40SPEAKER_00: they settle this other scandal.
- 23:41And the parents in the complaint said the culture was ripe for
- 23:45this kind of abuse
- 23:47SPEAKER_00: and the school's doing nothing.
- 23:49SPEAKER_00: Now that they settled,
- 23:50all of the evidence is going to be sealed forever and the
- 23:52school will never have to
- 23:53SPEAKER_00: admit failure.
- 23:54So they're never going to admit and look for any sort of
- 23:57correction either.
- 23:58SPEAKER_00: So that's three different scandals.
- 24:01Three different times they've had a chance to be able to make
- 24:03an improvement.
- 24:04So I want you to tell me why the GOP and the Republicans and
- 24:09the conservatives,
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: just so you can see my air quotes,
- 24:13SPEAKER_00: conservatives,
- 24:15are causing such a problem for themselves and what you
- 24:20personally experienced the
- 24:21SPEAKER_00: other day.
- 24:21Because I guess the teachers union president for the area was
- 24:27welcomed with open
- 24:27SPEAKER_00: arms in the Republican Party.
- 24:30SPEAKER_00: district meeting.
- 24:32But when you came as a conservative,
- 24:35proven by the shirt you're wearing now,
- 24:37right?
- 24:38SPEAKER_00: In the life I live.
- 24:40SPEAKER_00: You're wearing that there, right?
- 24:42SPEAKER_00: How'd it go?
- 24:44So somebody coached the Peoria Education Association president
- 24:50to register
- 24:51SPEAKER_01: Republican before that meeting because I'm willing to bet
- 24:55the few pennies that I have that she ain't been no Republican
- 24:58for a long time but
- 25:00at the end of the day neither has Becky Proudfit whose guest we
- 25:03believe she is I
- 25:05don't have the paperwork on that right now but when Proudfit
- 25:10was doing her little
- 25:11speech at the LD28 meeting she invited everybody in the guest
- 25:15section to become a
- 25:17SPEAKER_01: PC in LD28 and to join the social media pages myself
- 25:23SPEAKER_01: and I think this probably broke a few people's hearts.
- 25:26SPEAKER_01: I lost followers.
- 25:27SPEAKER_01: I even had a person who barely knows me.
- 25:29She just straight up blocked me after it came out that I am
- 25:33actually registered with no party.
- 25:36So it doesn't matter how MAGA I am,
- 25:38how conservative,
- 25:39how Christian,
- 25:39which is the real deal.
- 25:41SPEAKER_01: I'm a little too Christian.
- 25:43SPEAKER_01: I'm further right than the majority of the Republican Party.
- 25:47SPEAKER_01: And so, yes, I was escorted out.
- 25:50SPEAKER_01: There is this secretary chick
- 25:53SPEAKER_01: who came over and there was a police officer behind her.
- 25:56SPEAKER_01: It was not a security guard.
- 25:57SPEAKER_01: This was an on-duty police officer who came up with her.
- 26:01Mind you,
- 26:01one of the leftists was escorted out by her friend,
- 26:04but I don't know.
- 26:05SPEAKER_00: They needed guns for you.
- 26:07SPEAKER_01: They needed guns for me.
- 26:09SPEAKER_01: And I said in my substack,
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: I said,
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 26:12SPEAKER_01: if I was a leftist,
- 26:14SPEAKER_01: this is the part where I would cry racist and start a GoFundMe.
- 26:18SPEAKER_01: because I know that they were all leftists in there anyway.
- 26:20SPEAKER_01: So yes, came over and was like, hey, we need to have a talk outside.
- 26:25SPEAKER_01: And so these females are trying to explain to me why they put me out.
- 26:30SPEAKER_01: And I said, you don't need to explain.
- 26:31SPEAKER_01: I already know what's going on here.
- 26:33SPEAKER_01: I was part of the nuisance of how some photos were
- 26:41shall I say posted all over social media yeah I'm going to snap
- 26:44a picture because
- 26:45you got all these liberals and leftists and democrats just
- 26:48sitting in the LD28
- 26:49meeting and they are welcome with open arms I was there
- 26:52specifically to watch the
- 26:54vote for support for that retarded letter that LD28 put out in
- 27:00support of Prophet
- 27:02and Toby voting Heather out of office that's how I'm going to
- 27:04describe it and
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: people can read that for themselves but essentially
- 27:09SPEAKER_01: This is supposed to be nonpartisan on the school boards.
- 27:13So that's why I was there waiting until the end of the meeting
- 27:16just to see what
- 27:17SPEAKER_01: further they were going to say because our LDs,
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: I think,
- 27:20SPEAKER_01: should not be this involved.
- 27:21You can't be so hypocritical as to always be calling Democrats
- 27:25crazy when you're a
- 27:27SPEAKER_01: right-wing nutjob yourself.
- 27:29SPEAKER_01: And if you want politics out of the schools,
- 27:31SPEAKER_01: I'm going to keep saying this,
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: then lead by example.
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Obviously, it's not possible because we
- 27:37are so politically entrenched and we can't just,
- 27:41you know,
- 27:41be about values and protecting kids.
- 27:43SPEAKER_01: It is very political,
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: but I just think that it's also hypocritical that,
- 27:47SPEAKER_01: yeah,
- 27:48based on a registration that the union leader is now welcomed
- 27:55to become a PC and
- 27:56SPEAKER_01: participate in LD28,
- 27:57but myself as a conservative registered no party who has
- 28:01historically been
- 28:02SPEAKER_01: Republican when I was doing PC work,
- 28:04SPEAKER_01: you know,
- 28:05SPEAKER_01: I'm not welcome.
- 28:07SPEAKER_01: I'm okay with that.
- 28:07SPEAKER_00: I'm good.
- 28:10SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 28:10And those of us godly conservatives that put God first before
- 28:13conservative,
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: we have a standard to appeal to,
- 28:17SPEAKER_00: and we're always going to be driven in our moral values by that.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: It's really unfortunate that the GOP and the Republicans,
- 28:24SPEAKER_00: who we typically align the most with,
- 28:27SPEAKER_00: are so unreliable,
- 28:28SPEAKER_00: especially in the West Valley and Peoria there in the Phoenix area.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: where you just can't count on them.
- 28:33You can't count on them during the election and then you can't
- 28:35count on them when
- 28:36SPEAKER_00: they're tested,
- 28:37SPEAKER_00: truly tested.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: And then they stab you in the back because they send a letter.
- 28:40The letter you're referring to is a letter in support of the
- 28:43coup that they did at
- 28:44the Peoria Unified School District to get rid of the one person
- 28:47who is asking for
- 28:48SPEAKER_00: an independent investigation.
- 28:49SPEAKER_00: Well, Tiffany, it's crazy.
- 28:52SPEAKER_00: It's always crazy.
- 28:53SPEAKER_00: We always have crazy things to talk about.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: And let's just pray that things can

- 29:26SPEAKER_01: Your Child Reports
- 29:28SPEAKER_01: Something funny about a teacher,
- 29:30SPEAKER_01: whether they're showing too much attention to certain students,
- 29:32SPEAKER_01: if there's back rubbing and touching and excessive compliments and gifts,
- 29:36SPEAKER_01: don't blow that stuff off.
- 29:38SPEAKER_01: Don't blow it off because by the time a kid says something to you,
- 29:41SPEAKER_01: that took a lot of bravery,
- 29:42SPEAKER_01: a lot of guts,
- 29:43a lot of back and forth in their mind of whether or not you're
- 29:46going to believe
- 29:47SPEAKER_01: them or you're going to get mad at them or whatever.
- 29:49SPEAKER_01: So when kids speak up, take them seriously and investigate everything.
