- 0:00Speaker 1: A letter written almost two thousand years ago, contains the
- 0:04Speaker 1: map to understanding God's plan and reaching the most precious
- 0:08Speaker 1: treasure we can receive, eternal life to day. This letter
- 0:13Speaker 1: is the Book of Romans, and it contains this map,
- 0:16Speaker 1: a sequence of key verses that Christians have called the
- 0:20Speaker 1: Roman Road. It's called that because each verse is a
- 0:23Speaker 1: marker on the map that leads you step by step
- 0:27Speaker 1: to the treasure salvation. The first point on the map
- 0:32Speaker 1: is where we all begin, all have sinned. Many believed
- 0:36Speaker 1: Paul wrote this letter, which we now know as the
- 0:38Speaker 1: Book of Romans in the Bible, while he was a
- 0:41Speaker 1: prisoner in Rome, but that is not true. He wrote
- 0:44Speaker 1: it during his third missionary journey in Greece. Paul had
- 0:47Speaker 1: been a pharisee, a persecutor of Christians, until one day
- 0:51Speaker 1: Christ appeared to him in a blinding light on the
- 0:55Speaker 1: road to Damascus, and everything changed. From that moment on,
- 0:59Speaker 1: he began one of the most powerful ministries in Christian history.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Paul devoted the rest of his life to one single purpose,
- 1:07Speaker 1: proclaiming that Jesus was the Messiah, the Son of God.
- 1:11Speaker 1: The persecutor became a preacher, and the man who once
- 1:14Speaker 1: destroyed churches began to establish them. He traveled farther than
- 1:19Speaker 1: any other apostle. He journeyed through Asia Minor, Greece, Syria, Macedonia, Italy,
- 1:24Speaker 1: stoned in Listra, beaten in Philippi, chained in Jerusalem. Yet
- 1:29Speaker 1: he never quit, and God kept him safe. He preached
- 1:33Speaker 1: to Jews and Gentiles alike. He spoke in synagogues, market places, prisons, ships,
- 1:39Speaker 1: humble homes, and imperial palaces, until one day news reached
- 1:44Speaker 1: him of what was happening in Rome. At that time,
- 1:47Speaker 1: Rome was a cauldron of tensions. On one side, Jewish
- 1:51Speaker 1: followers of Christ were returning after years of exile, still
- 1:55Speaker 1: keeping the Law of Moses. On the other side were
- 1:58Speaker 1: the Gentiles Romans, who had believed in Christ but had
- 2:01Speaker 1: never practiced Jewish customs. Two communities at odds, suspicious of
- 2:05Speaker 1: each other, wondering who truly had the right to be
- 2:08Speaker 1: called the people of God. Into the midst of this conflict,
- 2:12Speaker 1: Paul wrote this letter to the Romans to unite the
- 2:15Speaker 1: church in Rome, to explain that all are members of
- 2:18Speaker 1: the same family in Christ, not by works of the law,
- 2:22Speaker 1: but by faith. And Paul begins by establishing that all
- 2:25Speaker 1: of us, without exception, share the same starting point on
- 2:29Speaker 1: the road to salvation sin. The map opens with this verdict,
- 2:34Speaker 1: for all have sinned and fall short of the glory
- 2:37Speaker 1: of God. With these words, Paul makes it unmistakably clear.
- 2:41Speaker 1: No pedigree earns you favor, and no human effort can
- 2:45Speaker 1: scrub away the stain of sin, Jew or gentile, free
- 2:49Speaker 1: or slave, kings or beggars. Every one of us is
- 2:52Speaker 1: marked by the same shadow of that first sin. From
- 2:55Speaker 1: the moment Adam reached for the forbidden fruit to Cain,
- 2:58Speaker 1: raising his hand against brother, humanity has been stained by
- 3:02Speaker 1: the same inheritance. Adam's legacy reached us all. We were
- 3:06Speaker 1: born in defeat before we ever drew our first breath.
- 3:10Speaker 1: Paul reminds us that we are all heirs of the
- 3:13Speaker 1: same original sin. This is the stark truth about our
- 3:17Speaker 1: starting point. No one can rise above another because we
- 3:21Speaker 1: all share the same condemnation. The Roman road begins here
- 3:25Speaker 1: with a devastating truth. No matter who you are or
- 3:29Speaker 1: what you've done, your starting point is sin. This is
- 3:32Speaker 1: where the path begins for all humanity, and the second
- 3:36Speaker 1: step leads us to the consequences. The wages of sin
- 3:40Speaker 1: is death. The second point on the map is the
- 3:44Speaker 1: inevitable consequence of original sin, death. We will all die.
- 3:49Speaker 1: After declaring that we have all sinned, Paul reminds us
- 3:53Speaker 1: that before the fall of Adam and Eve, death did
- 3:56Speaker 1: not exist. Death was not part of God's original design.
- 4:01Speaker 1: In Eden. Before the fall, life flowed without corruption. God
- 4:05Speaker 1: warned Adam not to eat from the tree of the
- 4:07Speaker 1: knowledge of good and evil. On the day you eat
- 4:10Speaker 1: of it, you will surely die. And God's warning came
- 4:13Speaker 1: true when Adam and Eve disobeyed. They didn't drop dead
- 4:17Speaker 1: in that moment, but something far worse happened. They were
- 4:21Speaker 1: torn from perfect fellowship with their creator. From that moment on,
- 4:26Speaker 1: the body began to age, to wear down, until it
- 4:29Speaker 1: was finally consumed by the earth. By the sweat of
- 4:32Speaker 1: your face. You will eat bread until you return to
- 4:35Speaker 1: the ground, for from it you were taken. For you
- 4:38Speaker 1: are dust, and to dust you will return. Death is
- 4:42Speaker 1: the inevitable fate. We all share the fruit of the
- 4:45Speaker 1: first sin, and ever since humanity has borne this sentence.
- 4:50Speaker 1: The apostle Paul explains it this way. Therefore, just as
- 4:54Speaker 1: sin entered the world through one man, and death through sin,
- 4:58Speaker 1: so death spread to all people because all sinned, Adam's
- 5:03Speaker 1: legacy reached us all. This is the common fate of
- 5:06Speaker 1: fallen humanity, to live under the shadow of death. Every ache,
- 5:11Speaker 1: every tear, every death, everything is a consequence of that
- 5:15Speaker 1: first sin. That's why it's so hard for us to
- 5:18Speaker 1: accept the death of a loved one. We were not
- 5:21Speaker 1: made to die, and every loss reminds us of that rupture,
- 5:25Speaker 1: that emptiness only God can fill. This is the starting
- 5:29Speaker 1: point for all humanity. We have all sinned, and we
- 5:32Speaker 1: all face death. But God made us a promise at
- 5:36Speaker 1: the very moment of the fall amid Adam and Eve's
- 5:39Speaker 1: tears and the serpent's pride. God promised us a redeemer,
- 5:43Speaker 1: someone who would crush the serpent's head and bring life
- 5:47Speaker 1: where there is death. And that promise came true in Jesus.
- 5:50Speaker 1: Jesus Christ was born to conquer death and open the
- 5:54Speaker 1: way to salvation for us, and with that he gave
- 5:58Speaker 1: humanity the next mark on the map to eternal life.
- 6:03Speaker 1: God's gift is eternal life. God did not abandon us.
- 6:08Speaker 1: Instead of letting sin condemn us forever, he crafted a
- 6:12Speaker 1: perfect plan to restore our relationship with Him From the
- 6:15Speaker 1: beginning the Bible makes it clear that sin separated us
- 6:19Speaker 1: from God and left us spiritually dead, unable to save ourselves.
- 6:24Speaker 1: So God stepped in and gave us the greatest gift,
- 6:27Speaker 1: the incarnation. The incarnation is the supreme act of God's
- 6:32Speaker 1: love toward humanity. There was nothing we as humans could
- 6:35Speaker 1: do to mend our broken relationship with the Creator until
- 6:40Speaker 1: Jesus was born. Jesus came precisely because we could not
- 6:44Speaker 1: save ourselves. Scripture is very clear and specific. Jesus was
- 6:49Speaker 1: born of a virgin. This is a foundational truth for
- 6:52Speaker 1: understanding his mission. In Jesus, there was no sin, neither
- 6:57Speaker 1: in his conception nor in his life. This detais tale
- 7:00Speaker 1: is the bedrock of the plan of salvation. Had Jesus
- 7:03Speaker 1: been born like any other human being, marked by the
- 7:06Speaker 1: inheritance of sin, he could never have fulfilled the purpose
- 7:10Speaker 1: of reconciling us to God. Jesus was God in the flesh,
- 7:14Speaker 1: perfect and without blemish. His virgin birth ensured he did
- 7:18Speaker 1: not inherit the sin that affects all humanity. God chose
- 7:22Speaker 1: to take on human form in the person of Jesus Christ.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But let's be clear, he didn't become the son of
- 7:29Speaker 1: God he already was. He didn't become God, he already
- 7:34Speaker 1: was God. He has always been God. And He came
- 7:37Speaker 1: into the world for a specific purpose, to make it
- 7:40Speaker 1: possible for all of us to become children of God.
- 7:43Speaker 1: That baby in the manger was God in human flesh.
- 7:47Speaker 1: The Creator chose to step into our frailty, share our humanity,
- 7:52Speaker 1: and walk among us. He took on our human nature
- 7:55Speaker 1: to be born as a baby, grow into a man,
- 7:58Speaker 1: live without sin, and die on the cross. On the Cross,
- 8:01Speaker 1: Jesus removed the barrier of sin, opening the way for
- 8:05Speaker 1: us to return to the Father. On the cross, Jesus
- 8:08Speaker 1: bore the sin of all humanity. That's what we call
- 8:11Speaker 1: a substitutionary death. Jesus took our place, the place we
- 8:16Speaker 1: deserved because of our sin. He suffered what should have
- 8:19Speaker 1: been our sentence, and in that act he atoned for
- 8:23Speaker 1: all our guilt. He paid the full price. He left
- 8:27Speaker 1: nothing unpaid. This means the price for all our sins, past, present,
- 8:32Speaker 1: and future was paid in full. On the cross, Jesus
- 8:36Speaker 1: took the place of the whole world and carried the
- 8:38Speaker 1: sins of all humanity. His death was substitutionary a perfect
- 8:43Speaker 1: and complete atonement. Paul says it with staggering clarity. But
- 8:47Speaker 1: God shows his love for us in that while we
- 8:50Speaker 1: were still sinners, Christ died for us. This is the
- 8:54Speaker 1: mystery of the Cross, the divine exchange. Christ, the only
- 8:58Speaker 1: spotless one, was treated as if he had committed every
- 9:01Speaker 1: sin in history, and we, though guilty, are treated as
- 9:06Speaker 1: if we had lived Christ's perfect life. God's gift is
- 9:09Speaker 1: Jesus Christ himself, his incarnation, his sinless life, his substitutionary sacrifice,
- 9:16Speaker 1: and his glorious resurrection. Every stage of jesus life had
- 9:20Speaker 1: a single purpose to remove the barrier of sin and
- 9:23Speaker 1: open the way to our salvation. Thus, the Son of
- 9:26Speaker 1: the Promise was the hope of all humanity, and his
- 9:29Speaker 1: birth marked the beginning of the fulfillment of the greatest
- 9:32Speaker 1: promise ever made, the arrival of the way to salvation.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Paul explains it like this, God shows his love for
- 9:40Speaker 1: us in that while we were still sinners, Christ died
- 9:43Speaker 1: for us. For if while we were enemies, we were
- 9:47Speaker 1: reconciled to God by the death of his son, how
- 9:50Speaker 1: much more now that we are reconciled, shall we be
- 9:53Speaker 1: saved by his life? So the question is how do
- 9:56Speaker 1: we receive the salvation Jesus brought us many things. It
- 10:00Speaker 1: depends on how you've lived your life or what sins
- 10:03Speaker 1: you've committed. But that's not true. We've seen that we're
- 10:06Speaker 1: all sinners. And Paul puts it plainly, for by grace
- 10:10Speaker 1: you are saved through faith, and this is not from yourselves.
- 10:14Speaker 1: It is the gift of God, not by works, so
- 10:17Speaker 1: that no one can boast. No matter how much good
- 10:20Speaker 1: we do or how many sacrifices we make, no deed
- 10:23Speaker 1: has the power to reconcile us to God. Every human
- 10:27Speaker 1: being is separated from God by sin, and no human
- 10:31Speaker 1: effort can close that gap. The only door to eternal
- 10:34Speaker 1: life is Jesus. He said it himself, I am the door.
- 10:38Speaker 1: Whoever enters through me will be saved. And so Jesus
- 10:42Speaker 1: gave all of us the path to salvation and pointed
- 10:45Speaker 1: out the final marker on the map to eternal life.
- 10:49Speaker 1: If you confess with your mouth Jesus is Lord, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead,
- 10:55Speaker 1: you will be saved. The map ends with a personal decision.
- 10:59Speaker 1: Paul gives two requirements for entering eternal life. The first
- 11:03Speaker 1: is that we must confess Jesus's lord. But someone might ask, so,
- 11:08Speaker 1: do I just have to believe in Jesus Christ to
- 11:11Speaker 1: be saved. The answer is yes, but we need to
- 11:14Speaker 1: understand what that really means. Believing isn't just intellectual assent
- 11:19Speaker 1: to jesus existence. It's embracing as truth that he is
- 11:22Speaker 1: the son of God, born of a virgin, sent by
- 11:25Speaker 1: the Father to pay the sin debt of all humanity.
- 11:29Speaker 1: Paul urges us to publicly declare that Jesus is King
- 11:33Speaker 1: and to believe in our hearts that God raised him
- 11:35Speaker 1: from the dead. It's acknowledging that his death wasn't symbolic,
- 11:39Speaker 1: but the full and final payment for all our sins, past, present,
- 11:44Speaker 1: and future. But believing in Jesus also means confessing our sins,
- 11:49Speaker 1: turning from them, and surrendering our lives to him completely.
- 11:54Speaker 1: It's not just words or passing emotions. It's an act
- 11:57Speaker 1: of faith that radically transforms are standing before God. In
- 12:02Speaker 1: that moment when we confess, believe, and surrender, we become
- 12:06Speaker 1: children of God. Paul explains it this way, For you
- 12:10Speaker 1: did not receive the spirit of slavery to fall back
- 12:13Speaker 1: into fear but you receive the spirit of adoption by
- 12:17Speaker 1: whom we cry Abba Father. This is the miracle of salvation,
- 12:23Speaker 1: going from being separated from God, from being spiritual enemies,
- 12:27Speaker 1: to being adopted into his family as his very own children.
- 12:31Speaker 1: When we become children of God, we receive something priceless,
- 12:35Speaker 1: a direct relationship with our creator. We are no longer strangers,
- 12:39Speaker 1: but members of his family, and with that comes the
- 12:42Speaker 1: confidence to draw near to Him at any moment, knowing
- 12:46Speaker 1: we are loved unconditionally. This is the destination of the journey,
- 12:51Speaker 1: the choice to move from condemned sinners to adopted sons
- 12:54Speaker 1: and daughters, from death to life. It is the treasure,
- 12:58Speaker 1: the end of the road that Jesus himself described the
- 13:01Speaker 1: Kingdom of Heaven is like a treasure. So runs the
- 13:05Speaker 1: Roman road mapped out by the apostle Paul in the
- 13:08Speaker 1: Book of Romans, a path simple yet profound. It begins
- 13:13Speaker 1: with the uncomfortable truth that we have all sinned and
- 13:16Speaker 1: that the inevitable consequence is death. That has been humanity's
- 13:21Speaker 1: reality since Adam sin entered the world, and with it
- 13:25Speaker 1: the condemnation that reaches us all. But the map doesn't
- 13:29Speaker 1: end in the dark, for where everything seemed lost, God
- 13:33Speaker 1: offers an undeserved gift eternal life in Christ. Jesus, the
- 13:37Speaker 1: final marker on the map, invites us to take a
- 13:40Speaker 1: personal step to confess with our mouth and believe in
- 13:44Speaker 1: our heart that Jesus is Lord, and so lay hold
- 13:47Speaker 1: of the treasure of eternal life in the Kingdom of God.
- 13:51Speaker 1: After he finished this letter the apostle, Paul sent it
- 13:54Speaker 1: to Rome, hoping it would heal divisions, and it did. Foreigners.
- 13:59Speaker 1: The outcome USTs, those who had never felt fully part
- 14:02Speaker 1: of the faith of Israel now found their eyes filled
- 14:05Speaker 1: with hope. For the first time. They were hearing that
- 14:08Speaker 1: salvation was for them too. But Paul also meant to
- 14:11Speaker 1: prepare the way. At that time, Rome was the center
- 14:15Speaker 1: of the world, and Paul dreamed of traveling there and
- 14:18Speaker 1: from that city, gaining support to carry Christ's message to
- 14:23Speaker 1: places where no one had heard of Jesus. Some time later,
- 14:26Speaker 1: Paul finally arrived in Rome, but as a prisoner and
- 14:30Speaker 1: from a cell, he kept doing what he had always done,
- 14:33Speaker 1: proclaimed the gospel. For two years under house arrest. He
- 14:37Speaker 1: welcomed everyone who came to him, Jews, gentiles, soldiers, scribes.
- 14:42Speaker 1: He never missed a chance to preach the gospel. But
- 14:44Speaker 1: after the fire that ravaged Rome, when Nero blamed the
- 14:48Speaker 1: Christians for the city's destruction, he moved to silence their leaders.
- 14:53Speaker 1: First Peter was crucified. Then it was Paul's turn. Because
- 14:58Speaker 1: he was a Roman citizen, he could not not be crucified,
- 15:01Speaker 1: so he was sentenced to death by beheading. They led
- 15:03Speaker 1: him out of the city along the Ostian Way to
- 15:06Speaker 1: a secluded place where the condemned were executed, far from
- 15:09Speaker 1: the crowd. Paul did not run. He knew his hour
- 15:13Speaker 1: had come. From a damp cell, he wrote his final letter,
- 15:17Speaker 1: which said, I have fought the good fight, I have
- 15:19Speaker 1: finished the race, I have kept the faith, and now
- 15:23Speaker 1: there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness.
- 15:26Speaker 1: Yet Paul was not afraid, for he had absolute faith
- 15:29Speaker 1: in God's plan. With that complete confidence, he faced his
- 15:33Speaker 1: fate with a smile. Paul bowed his neck, the sword fell,
- 15:38Speaker 1: and his spirit soared to heaven. We see this surrender
- 15:42Speaker 1: in the lives of those who placed their lives in
- 15:45Speaker 1: the Lord's hands. That is why the disciples of Jesus
- 15:48Speaker 1: could smile with peace as they were led to die
- 15:52Speaker 1: before the lions, and why they could sing praises to
- 15:55Speaker 1: God in prison. They had learned the secret. When you
- 15:59Speaker 1: are lying your will with Gods, the troubles of this
- 16:02Speaker 1: world can no longer destroy you. Paul was not one
- 16:06Speaker 1: of the Twelve Disciples, yet he became a pillar of Christianity.
- 16:10Speaker 1: To day, his epistles still guide God's people, and his
- 16:13Speaker 1: witness still cries out an eternal truth. It is no
- 16:17Speaker 1: longer I who live, but Christ lives in me. But
- 16:21Speaker 1: his mission isn't over. Though Christ died for all, many
- 16:25Speaker 1: have rejected him, and countless others have never even heard
- 16:28Speaker 1: the name of Jesus. Christ died for the whole world,
- 16:31Speaker 1: and the whole world can be saved, but only if
- 16:34Speaker 1: they come to know the truth. Even to day, millions
- 16:37Speaker 1: still don't know who Jesus is. Our calling as believers
- 16:41Speaker 1: is clear, carry the Gospel to the whole world. We
- 16:45Speaker 1: must speak, preach, proclaim, sing, and publish the gospel, making
- 16:49Speaker 1: sure the truth of Christ reaches every corner of the earth.
- 16:52Speaker 1: This is our responsibility as believers. Take the Gospel everywhere.
- 16:58Speaker 1: Jesus died for the entire world, and his sacrifice is
- 17:01Speaker 1: sufficient to save everyone. But if people don't hear, how
- 17:05Speaker 1: can they believe? We must preach, teach, proclaim, write, and
- 17:10Speaker 1: sing the message of salvation, ensuring it reaches the ends
- 17:14Speaker 1: of the earth. To help this message reach more people
- 17:17Speaker 1: who don't know Jesus or don't understand the way of
- 17:20Speaker 1: salvation he has given us. It would mean a lot
- 17:24Speaker 1: if you'd leave a like or a comment on this video,
- 17:27Speaker 1: because this is the most powerful life changing message there is.
- 17:32Speaker 1: It's the greatest love story ever told. God came into
- 17:36Speaker 1: this world to restore our relationship with Him, to wipe
- 17:39Speaker 1: away our sins, and to rescue us from eternal condemnation.
- 17:44Speaker 1: If you have one message to share, make it this.
- 17:47Speaker 1: There are many religions, but none can save, and no work, sacrifice,
- 17:52Speaker 1: or belief can open the door to heaven except Jesus Christ.
- 17:56Speaker 1: Remember he said it plainly. I am the Way, the Truth,
- 18:01Speaker 1: and the Life. No one comes to the Father except
- 18:04Speaker 1: through Me. There is no ambiguity in his words. Jesus
- 18:08Speaker 1: is the only way to God, the only means of reconciliation,
- 18:12Speaker 1: and the only savior. Without Jesus, there is no forgiveness
- 18:16Speaker 1: of sins, no hope, no eternity with God. But when
- 18:20Speaker 1: Christ enters a person's life, everything changes. He brings peace
- 18:25Speaker 1: in the midst of the storm, joy in the midst
- 18:28Speaker 1: of sorrow, and confidence in the midst of uncertainty. For
- 18:32Speaker 1: Jesus is not only the door to heaven, he is
- 18:35Speaker 1: also the example of how we should live. His life
- 18:38Speaker 1: was a constant testimony of love, sacrifice, and obedience. His
- 18:43Speaker 1: example teaches us that true strength is not found in
- 18:46Speaker 1: earthly power, but in humility and in wholehearted surrender to
- 18:50Speaker 1: the will of God. Jesus lived a life perfectly aligned
- 18:54Speaker 1: with the divine purpose, facing rejection, suffering, and ultimately the cross,
- 19:00Speaker 1: never once turning aside from the path the Father had
- 19:03Speaker 1: set before him. He showed us that true greatness is
- 19:06Speaker 1: found in serving others, loving even our enemies. Forgiving seventy
- 19:11Speaker 1: times seven, Jesus showed that obeying God doesn't mean the
- 19:15Speaker 1: absence of hardship. It means the assurance that we're never
- 19:18Speaker 1: alone in it. To love as Jesus loved is the
- 19:21Speaker 1: highest and most demanding calling we could receive. He didn't
- 19:26Speaker 1: just teach us to love those who love us. He
- 19:28Speaker 1: taught us to bless those who curse us and to
- 19:31Speaker 1: pray for those who persecute us. Jesus not only opens
- 19:34Speaker 1: the way to heaven, he invites us to walk with
- 19:37Speaker 1: him here and now, following in his steps. He calls
- 19:41Speaker 1: us to an active faith, a life transformed by his
- 19:44Speaker 1: love and his example. He teaches that success isn't measured
- 19:48Speaker 1: by material achievements, but by our willingness to live for others,
- 19:53Speaker 1: reflecting God's character in everything we do, and that is
- 19:56Speaker 1: our true hope. In him, No matter how dark the moment,
- 20:00Speaker 1: how fierce the storm, or how heavy the pain, in
- 20:03Speaker 1: Jesus we find a solid foundation. His life assures us
- 20:07Speaker 1: that obedience to God, though difficult, always leads to victory
- 20:11Speaker 1: because his purpose is eternal and his love unshakable. With
- 20:15Speaker 1: Jesus as our example and savior, we are never alone
- 20:19Speaker 1: and there is always a way forward. Leave a comment
- 20:22Speaker 1: thanking God for his greatest gift, eternal life with him,
- 20:27Speaker 1: and don't keep this message to yourself. Tell your family
- 20:30Speaker 1: and loved ones about the incredible gift God offers to us.
- 20:33Speaker 1: All Share this video, help others discover the Book of Romans.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Be a light, be a witness to the miracle we celebrate. Amen,
