  hardly saw anything other than four hours after the event it

  dawned on me we did see something Traitors theme.

  Yeah. I mean, I, I, I, I mean, I'm

  just going to dab myself in. I've never seen traitors, so I

  would not have. I didn't cotton on to the that

  that was the theme. So it didn't matter to me, no.

  Idea what it is, I just went for the wrestling.

  happened on show #2 shall we? So we started out with our

  opening match being one of two matches on show 2 where we knew

  one of the participants, we just didn't know who the other was

  going to be. So we started with Jensen Vesper

  taking on a mystery opponent. Yes.

  And that mystery opponent was CJ Calhoun.

  CJ Calhoun Yes. So I.

  Kept saying Callahan, I apologise.

  I mean it's close give or take a few extra letters.

  It's what auto correct would have said if it was put on a
• 4:56
  phone. And what was this, his debut

  then Future. Chuck Oh shoot or future shot

  yes, yes, I don't know what it is.

  I've got the these headphones on and that all of a sudden I want

  to sound posh. I don't, I don't know is.

  So I'll run through the little kind of notes I have, then I

  will throw it out to the masses. And by masses I mean Miles and
• 5:36
  Nicky. So we started off with Vesper
• 5:42
  overpowered, overpowered by Calhoun.
• 5:46
  Vesper relies solely on speed as that he's going to be his best
• 5:52
  friend in this match. He works on the leg of his
• 5:56
  opponent, taking him out on the outside.

  We then get a taker AJ spot with Vespa standing on the ring apron
• 6:09
  and Calhoun slowly just stands right behind him without him
• 6:15
  even knowing. Vespa continues to work on the
• 6:20
  left leg of his opponent, taunting the crowd with his now
• 6:25
  infamous 5678 when the refs counting up to 5.
• 6:33
  Calhoun then comes back with elbow smashes in the corner.
• 6:39
  A really nice counter by Vespa sees him reversing a power bomb
• 6:44
  on himself into a falling reverse DDT.
• 6:50
  CJ then hits a spinning slam to put him back in control of the
• 6:56
  contest, however, as he looks to build on momentum, his leg gives
• 7:03
  out on him during a run into the corner.
• 7:07
  He then hits a running cannonball soon after, followed
• 7:12
  by a drop kick from the outside, which was quite impressive.
• 7:16
  Has to be said. Vespa then reverses A powerbomb
• 7:21
  into a ankle lock submission hole.
• 7:25
  However, Vesper was not to be the victor on this particular
• 7:31
  evening as a sit down powerbomb from CJ Calhoun gives him a
• 7:38
  debut win on opening night in future shock for himself.
• 7:46
  Who would like to come in on this?

  Actually, not me. So Miles, you can come in on the

  next match. I didn't know how we're doing

  it. I didn't know we were taking it

  in terms of we're all just going to like mush in and converse.

  enjoyed it. I I quite like Vespa.

  I have to say that he did give me a little bit of shit on

  Instagram. That's Vespa.

  I said what my standout matches were and it didn't include his,

  which I appreciated. It cracked me up.

  I I like him. I think he's got really great
• 8:43
  chemistry with the crowd. I like the back and forth that
• 8:47
  he gives throughout. Ishi Towserie running away like
• 8:51
  he was terrified of of, of CJ. I liked the kind of taken us
• 8:59
  that we had going on with CJ, but I'm not sure if it was the
• 9:06
  match. This is the thing, I don't
• 9:08
  really know if I'm still very new to future shocks.

  I'm still learning who everyone is and everything.

  I'm not sure if it's the one that I would have necessarily
• 9:16
  like started with, but I really enjoyed it.

  I thought it was a strong debut for CJ and again, I just loved
• 9:26
  the energy from Vespa. Or or Jason Scooter, as many
• 9:31
  people like to call him, but he doesn't.

  Oh, there's there's. A.

  So this is where we come to Peter's helping outlaw on
• 9:45
  certain people. So last year we had a slight
• 9:53
  delay because there was a problem with the whoops while
• 9:57
  the headset falls off. There was a problem with the
• 10:00
  ring. So they had to kill a bit of
• 10:03
  time and they sent out Jake and they always said it.
• 10:08
  They sent out Jensen Vespa. And I've said this before and
• 10:15
  I'll I'll say it again. Up until that point for Vespa,
• 10:19
  he was someone that would kind of be on a show but didn't kind
• 10:28
  of resonate or didn't have the fans fully invested in him.
• 10:35
  I think it would be fair because he was brand new and you're
• 10:38
  still kind of trying to decide about people.
• 10:43
  So for about 10 minutes or so, you've got the future Shock
• 10:49
  staff put in the ring together, checking to make sure that the
• 10:52
  woods all lined up and it's all safe for the wrestlers.

  Vespa Days does should say one of the best promo jobs I I have
• 11:07
  seen anywhere where he basically kind of tried to cut the the
• 11:11
  crowd down just the normal kind of like heel stuff, but someone
• 11:18
  shouted Jason scooter because you have Vespa, which is a bike.
• 11:27
  Oh. Yeah.
• 11:29
  And you have a Vespa. So Vespa being a Scooter, and
• 11:34
  they just altered his name a tiny bit, called him Jason
• 11:37
  Scooter. Everyone chanted Jason Scooter
• 11:41
  to him. He lost his mind for a good
• 11:45
  couple minutes, ranting and raving, saying no, I'm Jensen
• 11:49
  Vesper. I'm Jensen Vesper.
• 11:52
  And from that point onwards, people would kind of chant.

  They still do now, Jason Scooter at him.

  And I think at that point, that's what really kind of
• 12:06
  helped and clicked with him and the fans.

  And ever since then, the crowd have massively been on his back
• 12:17
  in a good way as as as you should do.

  So if you ever hear chants of Jason Scooter, that's why they
• 12:28
  do it because of Fair enough, fair enough.

  No, I I enjoyed the, I enjoyed that much.

  The only reason why I say I wouldn't have necessarily put

  with that to start the show off is just with it being like a
• 12:39
  debut, like kind of it's kind of always risky business, isn't it

  going to debut first. So that's that's why I said that
• 12:47
  I should really have elaborated. So there it is.

  I will say what we did touch on in show 1, where a lot of this

  show in card, if truth be told, was hurt a bit because there

  were a lot of well, I'll say a lot.

  There was a few changes to the actual match card for both
• 13:15
  shows. So you'd have one match we'll
• 13:19
  come to in a minute where I think Eva, it was a double book.

  So we brought someone else in to replace.

  And I think on the first show it was a case of we just had to

  fill time and bring in anyone they could that wasn't wrestling

  onto the show to kind of add it out.

  And in fairness, on that particular occasion, it it came

  up Mill House on that occasion. So Speaking of debuts, because

  this definitely had a a few of them.

  We had A tag team match with the Horde, that being Haley, Cooling
• 14:13
  and Serafin taking on Naje, and a mystery opponent or a mystery
• 14:21
  tag team partner, shall we say. And 'cause Miles didn't want to
• 14:27
  do the first one, I will let you go first on this Miles.

  Right, so I'm trying to remember what happened.

  I'm trying to actually remember what happened.

  So I think Naji, Naji comes out and cuts a promo after the
• 14:43
  Horde. Like call him out I think.

  I think Gorgon calls Naji out because he's got Cooling and
• 14:53
  Seraphim for A tag team match. Naji's on the ring and then he

  announces his tag team partner as John, not the John who we
• 15:04
  fought because we thought it was going to be Big John Rehab.

  To be fair, yeah, you said yeah. To be fair, the video I have is

  of you shouting down my ear near even though you were like a seat
• 15:19
  away from me just going it's John, it's Big John.

  And then when it wasn't, it was, it was quite funny, but there

  was a lot of people I feel did not know who it was.

  I forgot who it was until I seen the the Toronto.

  I was like oh shit it's just John.

  I was like the guy has disappeared for like 2 years So
• 15:44
  what happened to him? So more law for people.

  So we had a scramble match last year which I believe did take

  place at the MMU in Manchester. Oh is the last?

  Was it the last saloon scramble match?

  Yes, it was supposed to be. It was supposed to have John in

  it, but the didn't. And then days after the event,
• 16:16
  they posted a video of John walking into the MMU while they
• 16:20
  were taking the boards and kind of moving the ring from the MMU
• 16:27
  and says, right, I'm here for the match.

  And they've said you're too late, it's already happened.

  And then we haven't seen anything from him since that
• 16:39
  moment. Yeah, it's been about two years.

  I don't even know, it's been 2 years.

  About a year and a half. That's the last thing the team
• 16:50
  on his social media about a year and a half ago.

  It's it's been a while. Plus the fact he threw me at
• 16:58
  first because the last time we saw him he had a beard and long

  hair. He looked like Jesus last time.

  Yes, and on this occasion he doesn't.

  Rocking the skinny jeans skinny Jean shorts it.

  It was almost a bit like, it was almost like Orange Cassidy in a

  sense. Yeah, it felt that way.

  Yeah, it was like it was like quite a subdued character that

  because I haven't got any. I've seen that thing that you

  were talking about. I saw it on social media, Pete,

  but I didn't have any reference for John.

  So with the kind of white kind of background and the just the

  John in text and then like just the not really a sound like

  music, just like a sound effect. Yeah, it was very Orange

  Cassidy, and I quite like that to.

  Be fair, I didn't really think about the Orange Cassidy part

  till I think probably last last weekend.

  Oh really? I got it immediately, No.

  I to be to be fair, I was busy last weekend.

  That's probably why I remember. But yeah, the the limited notes

  I have on this because much like the TNT show, I do not write a

  lot of notes when it's literally the day before recording because

  I'm an idiot. So we had Naj, as you say,

  announced his tag team partner, and the crowd immediately got
• 18:43
  right behind John. Yeah, yeah.

  Which locked in straight away. Yeah, I think people took a like
• 18:53
  a minute or so to understand who it was, and then it clicked for
• 18:57
  a couple and then I think it slowly found its way around the
• 19:01
  room. Obviously nature is in a fuse
• 19:07
  with Gorgon, but Gorgon does not want to face nature, and so the
• 19:14
  next best thing we can do is face the horde.
• 19:18
  So we have this kind of impromptu tag match.

  John for his, because this is really his first match.
• 19:30
  This is his debut as far as I can remember.
• 19:35
  I don't think he's wrestled anywhere else for Future Shot.

  I think he's done like a couple shows but nothing like I think
• 19:44
  some might have been in like third match maybe.

  Unless it's because there's been a couple of shows I've missed
• 19:51
  where he may have appeared so. But as far as now, this is the
• 19:55
  debut stand to be corrected, drawing asterisks under that.

  But his offence was really interesting.

  As she said, it looked like he it wasn't his first match, but
• 20:17
  he started off slow. And then he seemed to kind of
• 20:22
  work his way more into it, whether that's kind of just
• 20:29
  being like a rocket or that's how, again, it's almost like the
• 20:33
  Orange Cassidy thing. Or yeah, I was going to say it
• 20:36
  feels quite like, like the Orange Cassidy kind of you build
• 20:40
  it up, your energy up kind of thing, save your energy and
• 20:43
  build it up. That's how I was reading it
• 20:45
  anyway. That's how he read to me,
• 20:47
  anyway. Yeah.

  Yeah, because he didn't really do a whole lot.

  And then all of a sudden it was just like, oh, I'll pull this

  move from nowhere and then I'll do this move from nowhere.

  And then obviously you Naji is the the main one of the two.

  So when he comes in, he kind of takes over for his team,

  dominates the opposition. Cooling and Seraphin have tagged

  a couple of times. We've said before that cooling
• 21:20
  does look more impressive every time we see him in the ring,
• 21:24
  Miles and I think we're beginning to see seem fully,
• 21:30
  kind of. I think he's got his feet under
• 21:32
  the table now. Yeah.

  And he's looked better, better every time we see him.

  One of my standout future shop performers, honestly.

  Such a really, really talented young wrestler.

  I'm seeing a little bit of more of Seraphim now.

  I didn't really understand his character at first, but I like
• 21:53
  the way Seraphim wrestles. It's so I'm trying to think of
• 21:58
  the term but words are really failing me today.

  Quite unorthodox are obscure is quite different to what you
• 22:12
  expect from a wrestler. You don't really see a talent
• 22:16
  looking like Seraphim. He's got a very, very distinct
• 22:19
  look. Yeah.

  Yeah, I think he fits really nicely with the Horde as well,
• 22:24
  and I think him and Cooling complement each other really
• 22:28
  well and I like them as a team. Yeah, so.

  Go on. Oh no, I was just say this was

  on my list of the standout matches for the show.

  I thought it was bloody fantastic.

  So in the end, unfortunately, we saw Naj and Gorgon clashing.

  They kind of just fight off into the background, leaving John on

  his own to fend off against Cooling and Seraphin finishes

  with, well I can read my notes, Cooling hitting a reverse

  falling DDT as the Horde pick up their first tag team win since
• 23:22
  November time. It's been that long since
• 23:25
  they've won. A match as A tag team.

  However, it's the first time that Cooling and Seraphin have
• 23:35
  won A tag team together as the Horde last win came up in
• 23:41
  November, I believe at Attitude error 2.0 when they beat
• 23:50
  Gymnasio Alpha in a mask versus mask contest at the Fairfield
• 23:57
  Social Club. And for those of you thinking

  Jim Natio Alpha, who were they got to ruin the illusion, but it
• 24:09
  was Troy Ryan Steven Cross in masks.

  Yeah, I've. No.

  Idea what was about what was a fun show?

  So that was match #2. Match #3 Was Bentley up against
• 24:29
  another debuting opponent in future Shock Wrestling and that
• 24:36
  was Aaron Shaw. Not a whole lot I can fully
• 24:44
  remember about this match. Remember quite a bit of it, to
• 24:48
  be fair, I'll. Let you go then, Miles.

  I remember parts, but not a whole lot.

  Bentley come come to the match is a fan favourite.

  Everybody loves Bentley in future shock and then he this
• 25:04
  unknown guy comes out very cocky, very brush young guy with
• 25:13
  a sort of MMA vibe, kickboxing vibe that he put into the match
• 25:18
  against Bentley. A lot of kicks, a lot of
• 25:21
  strikes. I wouldn't not like Ridgeway
• 25:24
  strikes it very, very like Conor McGregor style.

  More MMA. Yeah, more MMA.

  Not wrestling strikes, more kind of like mixed martial art ones.

  Yeah, more MMA. Yeah, strikes.

  I'll, I'll say this for it. It was a it was a decent match.

  For it was. There was nothing Vatican say

  about it. The Bentley made show up really
• 25:57
  good Shaw himself when when you have the crowd having a go at

  you and making kind of like the old.

  Who are your chance? Yeah, he was bouncing off that.

  Yeah, he I'll say this for a lot of new people that have come to
• 26:13
  future shop, it's easy for when fans are giving you kind of like
• 26:21
  Chip or whatever to kind of lose a bit of heart or lose your sort
• 26:29
  of like your mental like framing whatever you're thinking and get
• 26:35
  put off by that. But everyone that's come in and
• 26:38
  has had like kind of like things chucked at it in all in kind of
• 26:45
  a good wrestling sense. Sometimes you'll get kids throw
• 26:48
  like little things at you. They've all coped massively well
• 26:53
  and they've all fed off it, which I think shows you how well
• 26:58
  they are coached at Future Shock.

  And yeah, I imagine if they've been told if this ever happens,
• 27:05
  this is what you do. Every single one has done superb
• 27:11
  when things like that happen. So fair, fair play to them all.

  I'm just trying to think more on them because I remember most of
• 27:23
  it seems to be out on the out. A lot of it was.

  Drinking. I promise I haven't been
• 27:33
  drinking, it's just up to back. I remember it being quite
• 27:36
  energetic, I remember it being quite explosive from kind of the
• 27:41
  get go. I was like, do these two already
• 27:42
  have prior beef? Like that's how it felt.

  Obviously you've got a debuting guy who's got something to prove
• 27:50
  and then you've got Bentley who's clearly a fan favourite
• 27:54
  and so this young lad came out and went balls to the wall.

  I mean I couldn't unfortunately I started to overheat during the
• 28:02
  match because the venue started to get hot because the crowd are
• 28:04
  really into the show clearly because it started to get hot in
• 28:07
  there. So I had to go outside during
• 28:10
  that match, which I was gutted far because they were still on
• 28:14
  the outside of the ring and they were just throwing everything
• 28:16
  each other. And at one point was it he threw
• 28:23
  Bentley into like against the, you know, the post and went for
• 28:27
  the whole kind of like punch punching the the post.
• 28:30
  They were ducking. And I've only seen Bentley
• 28:34
  Salford and so I haven't actually really seen a lot of
• 28:38
  him. So that for me was quite a new
• 28:42
  aggression. I've not seen from him yet
• 28:44
  because I've only seen him literally like 3-4 times.
• 28:47
  But I liked that. I liked that Bentley that I saw.

  And then the what was the lad's name again?

  Sorry, I'm terrible with names. Aaron Shaw.

  Aaron Shaw. Yeah, he he was great.

  I liked the energy. I liked his look.

  He he immediately you knew where where you stood with him.

  I kind of thought I got what his character was about.

  And yeah, it felt like he had something to prove.

  Like I say, I don't know how it ended.

  I wasn't there. I'm assuming Bentley won, but I

  think that that that was a strong debut for him And, and I

  would like to see more of that if possible, because that
• 29:25
  immediate just kind of locking and getting stuck in and just
• 29:30
  going straight to the outside of the ring and everything.

  Just don't really see many debuts go that hot straight
• 29:36
  away. So I thought that was brilliant.

  Because it did play into the whole Bentley being the
• 29:43
  vigilante, protecting everyone, Aaron Shaw coming out almost
• 29:48
  like this swaggering, kind of cocky, so and so, as you said.

  So it did very well play into the whole good guy versus bad
• 30:01
  guy kind of thing. Bentley won with the running
• 30:07
  knee to the head. I felt that was a bit of a
• 30:14
  underwhelming finish personally, because I've seen Bentley win
• 30:20
  with other moves. But again, nothing against the
• 30:25
  match. The match, so more than
• 30:27
  serviceable, did its job and it was really entertaining, which
• 30:33
  is ideally what you want. Match #4 Originally scheduled to
• 30:43
  be Lily Winter versus Saxa. Saxa I believe was.
• 30:50
  Ron, Garda Kong versus dynamite was before, yeah, yeah.

  OK, not not on my running order it's not, but hey ho.

  So we will go with the the other two.

  Kong and Dynamite Lee are two of the strongest men.

  In future Shock you look at Kong and he is a monster, absolute
• 31:26
  beast of a man. Absolute border.

  Yeah, you look at Dynamite Lee and you kind of look at him and
• 31:36
  think if the wind blew, it might blow him over, what he would do
• 31:40
  if you put him next to Kong. But Lee is without doubt one of
• 31:46
  the strongest, if not the strongest member of the Future
• 31:51
  Shop team because we've we've seen him literally deadlift like
• 31:59
  bright, strong Solomon. And you just think, how can he
• 32:05
  lift? How can he lift these kind of
• 32:07
  like monsters when you look at him.
• 32:11
  But it's it's that whole thing of never judge a book by its
• 32:17
