- 0:50Speaker 3: The wolf pack is over. Apparently I'm going to be
- 0:53Speaker 3: the passenger princess today. Go ahead.
- 0:55Speaker 5: I'm a little dizzy actually from headbanging right there.
- 0:59Speaker 3: You got it.
- 1:01Speaker 5: Welcome back in, Yeah, yesterday, welcome back into you.
- 1:07Speaker 3: We'll say that. Okay, that's fair to go by. Nice pivot.
- 1:10Speaker 3: Nice well, I mean we can't get there yet. I
- 1:12Speaker 3: mean you're trying to get this thing started. We got
- 1:15Speaker 3: to see how everybody's doing, Sue Flynn, KT all here.
- 1:20Speaker 3: The gang is back together. I'm going to be here
- 1:22Speaker 3: the whole show today, Flynn. Well done. I listened to
- 1:26Speaker 3: a little bit in the car as much as my
- 1:28Speaker 3: radio signal could handle yesterday on the way down to.
- 1:32Speaker 6: Meturie well done got about Donaldsonville before when uh Donalsonville.
- 1:39Speaker 3: I got to the outlet, mall get the Donaldsonville and
- 1:44Speaker 3: for some reason the HD radio like you, it would
- 1:47Speaker 3: get there, but then.
- 1:48Speaker 7: Like nine eight point one, HD two gets you pretty
- 1:51Speaker 7: far down, but it doesn't go to like the HD.
- 1:54Speaker 7: It doesn't go staticy it just cuts off.
- 1:57Speaker 3: Some reason it was off, but I appreciate y'all holding
- 2:00Speaker 3: down the fort. I was at Saints camp yesterday and
- 2:03Speaker 3: we'll get plenty of training camp thoughts. LSU started as well.
- 2:08Speaker 3: I had a chance to catch up with Kellen Moore,
- 2:10Speaker 3: so we'll play that interview in our number three A
- 2:13Speaker 3: lot to get to Bobby Carpenter, the general Big ten.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Bob's going to join us. JD Piquel is going to
- 2:19Speaker 3: join us because like it is talking season, it's all
- 2:23Speaker 3: about yesterday, you know, it kind of ended, and so
- 2:25Speaker 3: everybody's kind of giving their predictions on who's going to
- 2:28Speaker 3: do what, and JD picked lshusing National Championship, So excited
- 2:32Speaker 3: to catch up with him.
- 2:34Speaker 7: Does he have being the like LSU ties LSU background,
- 2:37Speaker 7: because I feel like every video CFM for.
- 2:42Speaker 3: S Meyer. Yeah, So JD played football at Cornell and Baylor.
- 2:46Speaker 5: Smart guy.
- 2:47Speaker 7: Yeah, you know, smart people really believe in the nuts
- 2:51Speaker 7: bus they do.
- 2:52Speaker 3: They do. So we've got sound from Brian Kelly trying
- 2:56Speaker 3: to get some of this Spencer Rattler sound that I
- 2:58Speaker 3: also caught up with him. It was wild, Like I've
- 3:02Speaker 3: done training camp tours before and I think maybe one
- 3:05Speaker 3: other time I'm trying to think maybe it was like
- 3:10Speaker 3: I don't know, Titans or somebody, they had two quarterbacks
- 3:14Speaker 3: and I did it with Bruce Murray and Bruce had
- 3:16Speaker 3: been in the game a long time NFL radio since
- 3:18Speaker 3: like six and I was like, if you ever had
- 3:22Speaker 3: three quarterbacks, come and sit down with you, because like
- 3:25Speaker 3: you don't know who the guy's going to be. He's like,
- 3:27Speaker 3: I'm never He's like I had I had two. Maybe
- 3:29Speaker 3: one other time. He's like, I never had three. So,
- 3:33Speaker 3: like the dynamic of that alone was pretty pretty different
- 3:36Speaker 3: in the fact that like we had Spencer came and
- 3:38Speaker 3: sat down, Jake came and sat down, and Tyler Shutt
- 3:40Speaker 3: came and sat down. It's like, interesting, we don't really
- 3:44Speaker 3: have an idea of which one of you is going
- 3:46Speaker 3: to be the guy.
- 3:46Speaker 7: Yeah, I'm trying to think of when there would have
- 3:50Speaker 7: been another competition with three guys. I mean we had
- 3:54Speaker 7: it in Seattle in twenty twelve with Russell Wilson, Tabars Jackson,
- 3:59Speaker 7: and myself.
- 4:00Speaker 3: There was it was actually got one reps.
- 4:03Speaker 7: Yeah, so we would split off days like it was
- 4:06Speaker 7: that's what they're doing. It was I was I was
- 4:08Speaker 7: the ran with the ones one day, Tavarus was the next,
- 4:10Speaker 7: and Russell was the next, and.
- 4:12Speaker 3: It just like rotated like that for a little while
- 4:15Speaker 3: until it was two.
- 4:17Speaker 7: Yeah, and then it was never not to until that
- 4:20Speaker 7: season started, right, But yeah, that was three and that
- 4:25Speaker 7: was pretty wild, uh, because it's the NFL. Like usually
- 4:29Speaker 7: there's an incumbent, there's a free agent, or there's a
- 4:35Speaker 7: young draft pick. Well, in that situation in Seattle, there
- 4:38Speaker 7: was all three, right, so, but there was nobody established,
- 4:43Speaker 7: so that that's pretty wild. But then the Saints is
- 4:46Speaker 7: so different because there's I mean, it's all just young guys.
- 4:51Speaker 7: So it's just I've I'm trying to think of any
- 4:54Speaker 7: other situation. I'm sure Cleveland's had it right now.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I guess, yeah, maybe they got four. I guess they do.
- 5:04Speaker 7: I guess if you went to Cleveland you would you'd
- 5:07Speaker 7: have four quarterbacks come and sit down to the table.
- 5:09Speaker 3: Yeah, probably so. But Cleveland doesn't count because they have
- 5:13Speaker 3: like a famous jersey on how many quarterbacks they've had
- 5:15Speaker 3: since they came back as a franchise last twenty five years.
- 5:19Speaker 5: And like, surprisingly enough, my name's not on there.
- 5:23Speaker 3: That's very true.
- 5:25Speaker 5: You would have thought I'd be the prime candidates at
- 5:27Speaker 5: least got one start.
- 5:28Speaker 3: Of it, got at least once start in Cleveland.
- 5:30Speaker 5: Maybe disappointing career.
- 5:32Speaker 8: Then even crazier, Ryan Fitzpatrick ain't on it.
- 5:36Speaker 3: Are you serious?
- 5:37Speaker 9: Ryan Fitzpatrick's not on there. Never played for the Browns.
- 5:39Speaker 5: He's played for like twenty though, right, not the Browns.
- 5:44Speaker 7: I never played for the Browns and every other team.
- 5:47Speaker 7: And then another one, who's my draft class? Josh Johnson's
- 5:49Speaker 7: played for a lot of.
- 5:50Speaker 3: He's still playing. Yeah, I know who did Commanders? Is
- 5:54Speaker 3: Josh with the Commanders right now? Josh Johnson University of
- 5:58Speaker 3: San Diego when Harball was the coach there is literally
- 6:02Speaker 3: like still playing Commanders. Yes, okay, I mean he's played
- 6:06Speaker 3: for everybody, including the San Diego Fleet. I don't even
- 6:10Speaker 3: remember what league they played in, but he played for
- 6:12Speaker 3: I think yeah it was Yeah, he's one.
- 6:14Speaker 5: N was it?
- 6:16Speaker 3: Who is the San Diego players at UFL? It might
- 6:18Speaker 3: have been like the AAFL. What was that league? The
- 6:21Speaker 3: Alliance of American Football.
- 6:24Speaker 8: Yeah, and then well then he also played when it
- 6:26Speaker 8: was just the XFL.
- 6:28Speaker 9: I think it was like the LA team. All right,
- 6:30Speaker 9: l a wild couch or something.
- 6:31Speaker 3: Look keep doing, you keep finding away.
- 6:35Speaker 7: So Fitzpatrick said he started for nine different teams, which
- 6:43Speaker 7: is a absolutely. I mean, being on nine teams would
- 6:47Speaker 7: be a lot of teams. Yeah, but are starting at
- 6:52Speaker 7: the quarterback position for nine different teams? Well done, fits magic,
- 6:56Speaker 7: Well done. I'm gonna see Josh. So Josh Johnson was
- 6:59Speaker 7: our Like. I remember seeing him at the combine and
- 7:04Speaker 7: some scout had come up to me from I think
- 7:06Speaker 7: the Bears or something, and they were talking and like
- 7:09Speaker 7: I'm sitting there trying to like look good and impressed scouts.
- 7:12Speaker 7: All this scout could talk about was Josh Johns And
- 7:15Speaker 7: I was like, yeah, dude, cool, it's great draft him, Like,
- 7:20Speaker 7: don't talk to me about it, don't ask me how
- 7:21Speaker 7: good he is. But then he threw at the combine
- 7:24Speaker 7: and he did not throw very good at the combine.
- 7:26Speaker 3: I was like, that's the guy the scout was talking about, like,
- 7:29Speaker 3: there's no way he's raw at that time. For sure,
- 7:31Speaker 3: it was super well.
- 7:32Speaker 7: But he had something like thirty something touchdowns and one
- 7:34Speaker 7: interception or something like that his his senior year.
- 7:37Speaker 5: So and then he ran a four to four or
- 7:39Speaker 5: something at the combine.
- 7:41Speaker 3: Was his college teammate Eric?
- 7:44Speaker 5: Which one?
- 7:45Speaker 3: Eric? Yeah? Which one? Well, there's a which one went
- 7:51Speaker 3: to San Diego.
- 7:53Speaker 5: Well, I mean, like, it's a good point. I should
- 7:57Speaker 5: have done that.
- 7:57Speaker 3: It's on me how they did yesterday? Goo, Landry you
- 8:01Speaker 3: said Flynn crushed it. I know our listeners, I mean
- 8:05Speaker 3: social media loved it. I mean I saw Matt talking
- 8:07Speaker 3: about the Tripod over and over again to the Tripod guy.
- 8:11Speaker 3: A guy can't go down to Saints camp and get
- 8:14Speaker 3: a kill interview. Wow, dude, yeah, guy gets kick that
- 8:20Speaker 3: the wolf back when he does that.
- 8:21Speaker 10: Yeah, I think maybe you were holding him back.
- 8:23Speaker 3: It feels like it. No, he did great, feels like it.
- 8:26Speaker 8: Yeah, how are I mean we helped him out.
- 8:31Speaker 3: I was like, whoa, look, he's going to do it all.
- 8:34Speaker 2: Lie.
- 8:35Speaker 10: I'm not gonna lie. I was worried about the libraries.
- 8:38Speaker 5: I was like, maybe.
- 8:40Speaker 10: Fifteen seconds, like he does the I think the longest
- 8:43Speaker 10: he's done a library it is twenty seconds. So I
- 8:46Speaker 10: was like, how is he going to.
- 8:47Speaker 4: Do a minute?
- 8:47Speaker 10: I was genuinely that was the thing that I was like,
- 8:50Speaker 10: how is he going to do this a minute? He
- 8:53Speaker 10: did it okay, and I'm so proud.
- 8:55Speaker 3: Even told you. He's like, look if I go fifty
- 8:57Speaker 3: seconds and we got ten left, and I stopped talking
- 9:00Speaker 3: like there was a lot of prep.
- 9:01Speaker 9: I said, look, you have mostly a minute most of them.
- 9:04Speaker 3: I'm going to try to get a minute.
- 9:07Speaker 7: But if I black out and there's fifteen seconds left,
- 9:10Speaker 7: you got to cut this thing.
- 9:11Speaker 4: Yeah, that's fine.
- 9:11Speaker 7: And I was going to start playing med music like
- 9:15Speaker 7: I think her finger was probably like over the cut,
- 9:17Speaker 7: but like she was ready.
- 9:19Speaker 3: But yeah, I know.
- 9:20Speaker 10: He didn't even bringing us in and out of the breaks.
- 9:23Speaker 10: He was teasing segments like he was like, I got
- 9:27Speaker 10: a little trivia question for y'all, next segment coming up
- 9:30Speaker 10: on Off the Bitch.
- 9:31Speaker 3: I do appreciate those. I do appreciate that you had
- 9:35Speaker 3: the same clock management I half worse.
- 9:37Speaker 5: I think we had. I think we had twelve second segment.
- 9:41Speaker 8: Good lord, yeah, because we were talking D line, Yeah,
- 9:44Speaker 8: and he's going on and on about Kyle Williams, and
- 9:46Speaker 8: he goes, when we come back, we're talking more LSUT football.
- 9:49Speaker 8: We went to break. I was like, no, we're not
- 9:52Speaker 8: segment coming on.
- 9:52Speaker 10: We came back and he's like, I don't think Eminem
- 9:55Speaker 10: counts as ah.
- 9:56Speaker 3: I actually I did. I heard that part of it. Yeah,
- 10:00Speaker 3: I wanted. I was like, he absolutely counts, he counts.
- 10:04Speaker 5: But the song, but the song was released under slim Shady.
- 10:07Speaker 9: Was an album.
- 10:09Speaker 3: I think maybe name. He's always been eminent with that,
- 10:12Speaker 3: Like his name is Marshall Mathers. He goes by Eminem. Yeah,
- 10:15Speaker 3: one name.
- 10:16Speaker 5: I think he has famous songs. Says I'm slim Shady.
- 10:19Speaker 3: Yeah, it's like you're dragon sometimes, Jake.
- 10:23Speaker 9: We found out Steve related to this.
- 10:26Speaker 5: I heard that.
- 10:27Speaker 3: I did hear that.
- 10:28Speaker 5: It's a big deal.
- 10:29Speaker 3: We broke before I lost, y'all. Armenian, Yeah, okay.
- 10:33Speaker 7: Yeah, a lot of people question it. They don't know
- 10:36Speaker 7: for sure, but we dispelled all rumors. It's one hundred
- 10:40Speaker 7: percent fact.
- 10:41Speaker 8: The more than three hours of board from each other
- 10:43Speaker 8: and sarkas seven siblings.
- 10:45Speaker 9: Telling me they're not related.
- 10:46Speaker 5: They're related.
- 10:48Speaker 10: I think I looked it up and they weren't though, no, No,
- 10:54Speaker 10: they're related.
- 10:56Speaker 9: I think Scott actually to multiple sources.
- 10:59Speaker 7: But when we came back to break that time, I
- 11:02Speaker 7: was like, I don't know if slim, I don't know
- 11:03Speaker 7: if he counts because of some shitty then wonder it
- 11:05Speaker 7: starts counting down to.
- 11:09Speaker 5: The second.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Hey, Scott says FB one can take a vacation before
- 11:13Speaker 3: college football stars. I think that's true.
- 11:15Speaker 10: Now that is true.
- 11:16Speaker 3: I got sixteen days. Let's this, y'all got it?
- 11:21Speaker 5: No, we just we caught lighting in a bottle one time?
- 11:24Speaker 3: All right, what's.
- 11:27Speaker 10: You're a one hit wonder.
- 11:31Speaker 3: You're Theers? You might get that reference.
- 11:33Speaker 9: Yeah, something's got to give.
- 11:35Speaker 3: No, No, you're in the right track. You're thinking you
- 11:38Speaker 3: got mail. No nos, one hit I know.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 11:42Speaker 9: I'm sorry, No, yeah, no, are you sure?
- 11:45Speaker 3: I'm positive it was the Wonders. They caught him because
- 11:50Speaker 3: they in that thing you do. That thing you do
- 11:55Speaker 3: is the name of the movie. Yeah. The trifile came
- 11:59Speaker 3: together and got there.
- 12:02Speaker 5: Because I was like, no, it's.
- 12:04Speaker 10: Something's got to give us a great.
- 12:07Speaker 3: You said something about you've got mal great movie. All right,
- 12:11Speaker 3: so when we come back, we'll get it started. I
- 12:13Speaker 3: was at Saint training camp, and it was so cold
- 12:16Speaker 3: out there. Let me tell you, it was so cold,
- 12:20Speaker 3: not hot at all. But there's some good things, there's
- 12:24Speaker 3: some questionable things, and there's some things that are yet
- 12:28Speaker 3: to be decided. That's exactly what it was yesterday at
- 12:32Speaker 3: Saints training camp. We'll break it down when we come
- 12:35Speaker 3: back here on OTV.
- 12:37Speaker 9: Off the bench, go to get Gordon dot com.
- 12:46Speaker 3: And you go to the website where Gordon mccurn and
- 12:48Speaker 3: injury attorneys. You can see what they can do for

- 12:57Speaker 3: on the homepage. So a live agent is going to
- 12:59Speaker 3: pull up and ask you, you know, kind of some
- 13:01Speaker 3: questions that you might have and they're going to be
- 13:03Speaker 3: able to point you in the right direction, get you
- 13:06Speaker 3: in contact with the right person to be able to

- 13:57Speaker 4: Class from players to legends.
- 14:06Speaker 1: Hester and Flynn breakdown L s U Football like only
- 14:09Speaker 1: champions can.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Baby, Baby, I know, maybe I love, but you don't.
- 14:38Speaker 3: Jimmy come in coming back with Keith Sweat. Probably might
- 14:46Speaker 3: come back with now no no No. Today's R and
- 14:49Speaker 3: B Thursday, Bud, this is a laundry my dad. It
- 14:55Speaker 3: was like, I know, y'all do.
- 14:56Speaker 10: R and B Thursday sent me nine songs which I
- 14:59Speaker 10: love today. So this is the Roger Villa Reale playlist.
- 15:04Speaker 3: Let's go. You know this one right, yeah? Okay. I
- 15:09Speaker 3: used to hear this one on one of two seven.
- 15:11Speaker 3: The Blaze blade you love to give others? Is the
- 15:16Speaker 3: Blaze still a radius?
- 15:17Speaker 5: I don't know, I don't know.
- 15:19Speaker 3: This was definitely the Big Dog Islo Texas. I don't remember.
- 15:26Speaker 10: It was like ninety three point three, maybe like Kiss
- 15:28Speaker 10: FM or something that we had.
- 15:30Speaker 9: We had a kiss FIM here for a little while.
- 15:32Speaker 9: I don't remember which station it was.
- 15:34Speaker 3: I don't know. This is a good one, though, Taylor.
- 15:39Speaker 7: When we shout out other radio stations, it's old radio
- 15:42Speaker 7: stations from other cities.
- 15:43Speaker 3: Yeah, that nobody really knows or remember. It's just fun
- 15:46Speaker 3: and the names like not even the same anymore. I
- 15:49Speaker 3: think the big dogs like K ninety four five now,
- 15:52Speaker 3: I don't know why they went away from the big
- 15:54Speaker 3: dog a dog.
- 15:56Speaker 5: When the blaze started, it was like it was kind
- 15:59Speaker 5: of like a I don't know what the right way.
- 16:01Speaker 3: It's not sketchy. It was like a mom Polly.
- 16:04Speaker 7: They got some airwaves and they had like nine songs
- 16:08Speaker 7: on repeat, and it just played nine songs on repeat
- 16:10Speaker 7: for a while, and then people were listening to it.
- 16:12Speaker 7: So you got a little bit more money, got some
- 16:13Speaker 7: sponsorship dollars, and I think he moved to twelve, okay,
- 16:17Speaker 7: then fifteen then became a real radio station.
- 16:19Speaker 3: Yeah yeah, microphones and everything all right. So I was
- 16:24Speaker 3: out at Saints Camp yesterday and some initial thoughts the
- 16:30Speaker 3: thirty second ranking when it comes to the roster, that
- 16:33Speaker 3: was kind of like on my mind, and so I'm like,
- 16:35Speaker 3: all right, I want to see, like, am I going
- 16:37Speaker 3: to be how amazing them on? It?
- 16:39Speaker 10: Be?
- 16:40Speaker 3: So? And the thing I kept coming back to is
- 16:44Speaker 3: when they roll the first twenty two out there, it's
- 16:48Speaker 3: definitely not thirty second like they got some Jimmy's and
- 16:52Speaker 3: Joe's in that first twenty two like they really do
- 16:55Speaker 3: at the offensive line now moving pinning to guard looks impressive.
- 17:00Speaker 3: You had the first receiver group out there. They they
- 17:04Speaker 3: continue to make plays like a lave. Spencer Ratler hit
- 17:08Speaker 3: him on a deep go for like a sixty yard touchdown.
- 17:12Speaker 3: They come back Rashichi he runs a deep out throat
- 17:15Speaker 3: right in there, toe taps on the sideline. Rashichi caught
- 17:19Speaker 3: a corner route toe tap, took a hit, held onto
- 17:22Speaker 3: the football and Brandon Cooks made him play. You see it,
- 17:25Speaker 3: ak made seven or like the fact that he is
- 17:28Speaker 3: as smooth and as fresh as he looks at thirty
- 17:32Speaker 3: years old at running back is incredible. And I know
- 17:35Speaker 3: like he's done a nice job of taking care of
- 17:36Speaker 3: his body. He's had some situations where he's had like
- 17:39Speaker 3: he's the thunder and lightning kind of situations with Ingram
- 17:42Speaker 3: and others, but he doesn't look like a thirty year
- 17:45Speaker 3: old running back. He got so smooth. He's very smooth,
- 17:47Speaker 3: and so like all of that is great, even on
- 17:51Speaker 3: the defensive side, like the first eleven out there, like
- 17:54Speaker 3: Brian Berze was very active, Cam was very active. It's like, okay,
- 18:01Speaker 3: I can see this team being Okay, the South's not great,
- 18:05Speaker 3: they can be competitive. Where I get worried is when
- 18:10Speaker 3: they blow the whistle and here comes another unit. And
- 18:15Speaker 3: probably more on the defense as a whole, but certainly
- 18:20Speaker 3: like this skill position, and really more the receivers, because
- 18:25Speaker 3: actually the Saints running back room, like they kept rolling
- 18:28Speaker 3: guys in there, and guys kept making plays, Like I
- 18:31Speaker 3: was watching one on one pass protection and Ak had
- 18:36Speaker 3: a great rep. Cam Akers had a great rep. Clyde
- 18:41Speaker 3: stoned the rookie linebacker from Oklahoma Statesman. Like they all
- 18:46Speaker 3: looked great in pass protection and one on one routes
- 18:48Speaker 3: on backers. Running backs kept winning over and over again.
- 18:51Speaker 3: So like that's okay, you're so thin at receiver though,
- 18:56Speaker 3: and again you got chrys Olave with concussion history. You've
- 19:00Speaker 3: got Rashichi Hi that's had you know, some hamstrings and
- 19:04Speaker 3: different things going in his career. Brandon Cooks has missed
- 19:07Speaker 3: time certainly in his career. So it's going to be
- 19:11Speaker 3: one of those deals where and it hasn't happened in
- 19:14Speaker 3: a long time. But if they stay healthy, all right, Well.
- 19:18Speaker 5: The fact of the matter is they're not going to
- 19:20Speaker 5: stay healthy. I know, I mean nobody.
- 19:21Speaker 3: It's a problem.
- 19:22Speaker 7: No, there's not one position group in the NFL that's
- 19:25Speaker 7: going to stay completely healthy for seventeen games. You're going
- 19:29Speaker 7: to have to rely on somebody. You just hope that
- 19:33Speaker 7: there's not multiple people at the same time, and especially
- 19:38Speaker 7: for multiple weeks. Like you can patch weeks together with
- 19:41Speaker 7: different game plans, with utilizing tight ends, maybe you utilize
- 19:45Speaker 7: running backs a little bit more.
- 19:46Speaker 5: You can patchwork.
- 19:48Speaker 7: And that is the job of an offensive coordinator and
- 19:53Speaker 7: a defensive coordinator in the NFL, and you see it
- 19:55Speaker 7: all the time. That's what kind of separates a lot
- 19:57Speaker 7: of times these playoff bubble teams from making it to
- 20:03Speaker 7: the playoffs and not. It's like which coaches got more
- 20:06Speaker 7: out of.
- 20:06Speaker 3: Their roster, yeah, but and also which ones do get
- 20:10Speaker 3: lucky to stay as healthy as you possibly can too.
- 20:12Speaker 5: If you get lucky to say this play to win
- 20:14Speaker 5: a Usually the top teams.
- 20:16Speaker 3: To win a championship, like you like, even the best
- 20:18Speaker 3: teams have to have that injury luck for sure.
- 20:21Speaker 7: And and those are the top teams that have both
- 20:24Speaker 7: the coaching, the luck and everything. I'm talking about teams
- 20:27Speaker 7: that deal with injuries but still find their way to
- 20:29Speaker 7: scrap into the playoffs right to find find that temp.
- 20:33Speaker 3: And the roster was set up to do so as well. Yeah,
- 20:35Speaker 3: you drafted, well, you got some young guys waiting in
- 20:38Speaker 3: the wings. You maybe signed like a free agent tight
- 20:40Speaker 3: end that was under the radar that can come in
- 20:42Speaker 3: for six games and give you some starter. I just
- 20:45Speaker 3: don't have that.
- 20:45Speaker 7: You just can't have what happened last year when you
- 20:48Speaker 7: have four receivers out, you have a lineman, now, you
- 20:50Speaker 7: have running backs out.
- 20:52Speaker 5: But I also question.
- 20:55Speaker 7: Last year, what was inspiring enough about the team to
- 20:59Speaker 7: fight to get back on the field. Yeah, I know
- 21:03Speaker 7: there's some things you can't come back from, of course,
- 21:06Speaker 7: but like if you're a vet, a little nicked up,
- 21:09Speaker 7: you're week fifteen, You're week fifteen. Everybody's out, and nobody's
- 21:12Speaker 7: like we just which I'm not built that way, but no, no,
- 21:17Speaker 7: but go out. There's business decisions made. Yeah, on every
- 21:20Speaker 7: single team, every single week.
- 21:23Speaker 3: I get it.
- 21:25Speaker 5: But yeah, I mean you say that that the starting
- 21:29Speaker 5: twenty two.
- 21:30Speaker 7: Is gonna be competitive. They're gonna be competitive, Yeah for sure. Yeah,
- 21:33Speaker 7: and they should. And you said the offense, the offensive
- 21:35Speaker 7: line better look good. Yeah got four, Yeah they better
- 21:40Speaker 7: look good.
- 21:41Speaker 3: Yeah. No, it's very fair. And but Penning's a guard,
- 21:44Speaker 3: he's not a tackle. He can't play in space, he
- 21:47Speaker 3: can't live in space. In fact, his demeanor doesn't scream
- 21:50Speaker 3: tackle like he doesn't ever need to be on an island.
- 21:53Speaker 3: He's too aggressive, you know what I mean. Like he
- 21:55Speaker 3: tries to attack too much at tackle, he tries to
- 21:58Speaker 3: jump a pass, move too and then you get into trouble.
- 22:01Speaker 3: Then he ducks his head. Then the guy gets past tackle.
- 22:04Speaker 7: Is tackles a counter punch position. Yeah, it's a patient position.
- 22:08Speaker 7: You let the guy move, you react to it, and
- 22:11Speaker 7: you just you take what he does and you use
- 22:13Speaker 7: it against him. It's it's the ultimate, Like, uh, use
- 22:16Speaker 7: their momentum completely against them, wash them out of the play,
- 22:19Speaker 7: or anchor them, like if they try to they try
- 22:22Speaker 7: to bull rush you, anchor them, they try to they
- 22:24Speaker 7: try to swim you inside, you wash them inside. They
- 22:26Speaker 7: try to swim you outside. You push them out. You
- 22:28Speaker 7: push them as deep as you can behind the quarterback.
- 22:32Speaker 7: So it's tackles the counter guard and center. It's a
- 22:35Speaker 7: first strike. It's like cover k It's exactly.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Yeah, now, it's what it is. And you can be
- 22:39Speaker 3: aggressive and you have protection on both sides. So that's
- 22:44Speaker 3: why you can be more aggressive. You're never on that
- 22:46Speaker 3: island truly by yourself, like very rarely will you have
- 22:50Speaker 3: much space. And so those are the things that I
- 22:53Speaker 3: think you know are going to improve the offensive line.
- 22:55Speaker 3: But again, they like they gotta stay healthy. The depth
- 22:58Speaker 3: on the team, like some of these some of the
- 23:00Speaker 3: backups to just not experience, or they're guys that were
- 23:03Speaker 3: drafted high other places that they're seeing if they can
- 23:05Speaker 3: get the most out of them. And it's just that
- 23:07Speaker 3: there's nothing in there, like the fumes are almost gone,
- 23:10Speaker 3: and so that's going to be important for them. And
- 23:13Speaker 3: like Flynn said, and we all kind of know, like
- 23:15Speaker 3: it's almost impossible to stay healthy in an NFL season
- 23:18Speaker 3: for your team, but for the Saints to have any
- 23:22Speaker 3: life to do what you know we want them to do,
- 23:24Speaker 3: which is just make some noise in the South. They
- 23:27Speaker 3: have to stay as healthy as any team I think
- 23:30Speaker 3: in the NFL. And yesterday and I mentioned, like, you know,
- 23:33Speaker 3: they were kind of rotating a little bit because I
- 23:35Speaker 3: talked about Spencer rally like he had a great got
- 23:38Speaker 3: the ball, had some pressure off the edge, stepped up,
- 23:40Speaker 3: stepped out, hit a lobve on a sixty yard in
- 23:43Speaker 3: stride pass and so like. He definitely had some good moments.
- 23:46Speaker 3: But yesterday was Jake Hayner's day to be the starting court.
- 23:50Speaker 7: Before we get to the quarterbacks, I did want to
- 23:52Speaker 7: ask about from the receiver standpoint, h Rashidzhahid, how did
- 23:57Speaker 7: he look as as a route runner, pure route runner?
- 24:02Speaker 7: So I know he's got the over the top speed,
- 24:04Speaker 7: he's got that home run ability. I saw some clips
- 24:07Speaker 7: yesterday where there's an incomplete Spencer threw one down the
- 24:11Speaker 7: sideline on like it was either a fade or a
- 24:13Speaker 7: go route. It was kind of like an intermediate intermediate
- 24:17Speaker 7: go route, and it was incomplete because he had done
- 24:22Speaker 7: a no. I'll tell you it was a slugg o.
- 24:23Speaker 7: So was a slam go and he did a really
- 24:26Speaker 7: poor job of se No, he sold the slant. Okay
- 24:30Speaker 7: kool Aid made actually a really good play on it.
- 24:32Speaker 7: Like I was pretty impressed, A right watch out cool
- 24:35Speaker 7: But like what rashid what he could have done. He
- 24:38Speaker 7: should have closed the distance between them so he could
- 24:41Speaker 7: stack him on top right like once he and he didn't.
- 24:43Speaker 5: He kept the distance between him.
- 24:45Speaker 7: And kul A like people think when you run a
- 24:47Speaker 7: go route or a lot of times running routes, like
- 24:48Speaker 7: you want to separate yourself, not necessarily when you catch
- 24:52Speaker 7: a when you catch a dB in transition, you actually
- 24:55Speaker 7: want to get closer to him so you can drive
- 24:57Speaker 7: him inside and then step like you can you create
- 24:59Speaker 7: a opportunity for the ball.
- 25:00Speaker 3: I know what you're talking about now.
- 25:02Speaker 7: Yeah, and he batted it down and I thought that
- 25:04Speaker 7: was a bad That was a really good coaching probably
- 25:06Speaker 7: wrapped for Shaheed to learn from that one.
- 25:10Speaker 3: And you could tell that they're actually coaching him up
- 25:11Speaker 3: on that because I did see. I saw a really
- 25:14Speaker 3: good deep out where because he is so fast, if
- 25:18Speaker 3: he's pressing it vertical, you're scared to death.
- 25:20Speaker 6: Is the one where shucked to it? No, I think
- 25:22Speaker 6: Spencer shuck through the out route and it wasn't very
- 25:25Speaker 6: good thrown.
- 25:25Speaker 3: Okay, No, so this wasn't that spencer throw this one
- 25:28Speaker 3: because it was right on the sideline. It was a
- 25:30Speaker 3: toe tap, but he did a really nice job. I forget.
- 25:33Speaker 3: I think it was I think it was Taylor that
- 25:36Speaker 3: he was working against, and he pressed him. I mean
- 25:38Speaker 3: it looked like he was about to run a go
- 25:40Speaker 3: and then he put his foot in the ground and
- 25:41Speaker 3: went just right to the sideline. He didn't drift, you know,
- 25:45Speaker 3: he stayed on that plane, caught it. And that's what
- 25:48Speaker 3: you could when you have true game changing track speed,
- 25:52Speaker 3: Like those are the type of routes you have to
- 25:54Speaker 3: be able to run for it to matter.
- 25:55Speaker 7: Yeah, that's the big Like one of the my key
- 25:58Speaker 7: things for the off Fence is, of course the ability
- 26:02Speaker 7: to get Shaheed involved.
- 26:04Speaker 3: Because of his deep threat.
- 26:06Speaker 7: But if he can improve and become a really good
- 26:09Speaker 7: route runner, that's a dangerous man. Yeah, And so like
- 26:13Speaker 7: I'm as ugly as watching him run around at number
- 26:16Speaker 7: twenty two.
- 26:17Speaker 6: Like if you can run around twenty two a receiver, okay,
- 26:20Speaker 6: fair enough. So no, I'm not hating on twenty two
- 26:24Speaker 6: twenty two free Sweeten. I completely forgot that his jersey
- 26:27Speaker 6: number was twenty two, and I was watching the clips.
- 26:29Speaker 6: I was like who's this running back?
- 26:30Speaker 3: Yeah, he wore eighty something went he first got there,
- 26:32Speaker 3: but he wore twenty two in college and he switched back.
- 26:34Speaker 5: But kind of I didn't even know the receivers could
- 26:37Speaker 5: wear it.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Well now, like it basically doesn't matter really in the NFL. Yeah,
- 26:41Speaker 3: you can wear one through forty nine and eighty three,
- 26:45Speaker 3: eighty nine a receiver.
- 26:48Speaker 5: Just the receiver position, no any position. A quarterback wore forty.
- 26:52Speaker 3: I mean, if you want to now, yeah, that's disgusting. Gross. No,
- 26:56Speaker 3: they got to go back to the old rolls. I
- 27:00Speaker 3: do want to get your thoughts real quick. Let's just
- 27:02Speaker 3: go ahead and do it. Yeah, whatever, yes, because I
- 27:06Speaker 3: don't want to, like I do want to get to
- 27:07Speaker 3: some LSU next. So Jake Caner was a starter yesterday. Now,
- 27:13Speaker 3: if it's a true three man competition, that's fine. I'm
- 27:16Speaker 3: good with that. Jake had some nice throws yesterday. Cool.
- 27:21Speaker 3: They so they leave Wednesday to go to the West Coast.
- 27:26Speaker 3: They got to go from three to two, and I
- 27:28Speaker 3: think I think that's why you saw Jake get the
- 27:30Speaker 3: one reps yesterday because almost like a final verdict, like,
- 27:34Speaker 3: all right, are you going to be in this competition?
- 27:36Speaker 3: Before we pack up and go finish training camp on
- 27:38Speaker 3: the West coast, or is it going to be two
- 27:40Speaker 3: when we get there, because you don't have a lot
- 27:43Speaker 3: of time and you know this, like you don't have
- 27:45Speaker 3: a lot of time. And if you're at three quarterbacks
- 27:47Speaker 3: and they're each getting rep still, we're what almost ten
- 27:49Speaker 3: days in a training camp. I don't want to say
- 27:51Speaker 3: it was a wasted day because if they believe Jake's
- 27:54Speaker 3: in the competition, cool, If he's not, it was a
- 27:57Speaker 3: wasted day, like they have to at some point, whoever
- 28:00Speaker 3: it is, I'm not even calling for. It's got to
- 28:02Speaker 3: go from three to two and then ten days from there,
- 28:05Speaker 3: you got to go from two to one, like at
- 28:06Speaker 3: least like from a non quarterback. I'm in the huddle
- 28:09Speaker 3: with you, like, and it will happen organically. The team's
- 28:12Speaker 3: going to tell you before the coach tells you who
- 28:14Speaker 3: the starter is. But if I got three different voices,
- 28:18Speaker 3: and I was talking with with Kahmara about this, like
- 28:20Speaker 3: to the side yesterday because like he's he's the most
- 28:24Speaker 3: veteran guy on that offense, and he's like, yeah, I mean,
- 28:26Speaker 3: you know, I don't I don't try to do too much.
- 28:28Speaker 3: But I'm in if I'm in the huddle, Like, I know,
- 28:29Speaker 3: all three of those guys are different. I know they
- 28:31Speaker 3: got different cadences. I know that they call protections maybe
- 28:34Speaker 3: a little bit different, like with the way that they
- 28:36Speaker 3: say it out there. He's like, Tyler's a rookie, He's
- 28:38Speaker 3: gonna probably lean on me, uh you know for a
- 28:40Speaker 3: free release flat a little bit more so, like even
- 28:43Speaker 3: the veteran players, like it is an adjustment. Yes, what practice?
- 28:48Speaker 4: Was that?
- 28:49Speaker 3: What number practice? I think you're getting a I mean
- 28:52Speaker 3: was it three? No? No, no way more than that?
- 28:55Speaker 3: Is that the first time that he has been second second?
- 28:59Speaker 7: He QB one all right, So I mean you could
- 29:02Speaker 7: have that means they're going one two three one two
- 29:05Speaker 7: three yep. So like that is telling you exactly he
- 29:09Speaker 7: is absolutely in the competition. Yeah, Kelamore is telling you
- 29:12Speaker 7: it's a legit and it's not just lip service, because
- 29:16Speaker 7: if it wasn't, it would be an absolute waste of
- 29:18Speaker 7: a day, an absolute waste of two quarterbacks precious reps.
- 29:23Speaker 5: And let me tell you, each rep that you get
- 29:25Speaker 5: with ones is precious.
- 29:27Speaker 7: Like there is no teacher like getting in there in
- 29:31Speaker 7: the fire of a training camp practice and running it.
- 29:36Speaker 3: Not only just like you kind of you kind of
- 29:38Speaker 3: alluded to it.
- 29:39Speaker 7: They're not only for the quarterback himself, but for the
- 29:42Speaker 7: other like people like ak learning, cadence, learning their tendencies
- 29:48Speaker 7: what they do. So they are telling you with their
- 29:51Speaker 7: reps that it is a legit because if it wasn't,
- 29:55Speaker 7: a new head coach trying to pick a quarterback, a
- 29:58Speaker 7: young quarterback is not going to waste rep on somebody
- 30:00Speaker 7: that does not have a legit opportunity to be your
- 30:05Speaker 7: day one starters. It's just I mean that if it is,
- 30:10Speaker 7: it's stupidity. And I'm saying if it's if it's not
- 30:13Speaker 7: a legit, then it's just stupidity of a wasting two days.
- 30:16Speaker 3: With the ones. Yeah, and like real quick, what we're
- 30:18Speaker 3: talking about here every quarterback and you're like, what do
- 30:20Speaker 3: I mean it's the same protection is like it's supposed
- 30:22Speaker 3: to be the same cadence, Like I get all that,
- 30:24Speaker 3: but it is going to be different, Like everybody's going
- 30:26Speaker 3: to say different things.
- 30:27Speaker 7: And it's well and in training camp is one on once,
- 30:29Speaker 7: it's one versus once, so like you're going you want
- 30:32Speaker 7: to go against the best people that that's why you
- 30:35Speaker 7: that's how you get better fast is going against the best.
- 30:37Speaker 3: Yeah, and now, though this might not be the situation
- 30:39Speaker 3: because you've got all young quarterbacks, but like sometimes, like
- 30:43Speaker 3: when I was in San Diego, if they were bringing
- 30:45Speaker 3: you know, four off my side, like Phil will be like, hey,
- 30:47Speaker 3: I need you to pick that up, like I need
- 30:48Speaker 3: you to I need you to try to take two
- 30:50Speaker 3: if you can't, or like something, give me like an
- 30:51Speaker 3: extra like before you snapped, like, hey, give me an
- 30:53Speaker 3: extra second, which meant like, try to get big and
- 30:56Speaker 3: try to see if you can take two because he's
- 30:58Speaker 3: gonna throw hot. But he will like, hey, give me
- 30:59Speaker 3: a little extra time.
- 31:00Speaker 5: Here.
- 31:01Speaker 3: There'd be sometimes, and when I was in Denver, that
- 31:04Speaker 3: they'd be bringing four off my side and Peyton mcg
- 31:06Speaker 3: he'd say, you know, hey, Waco, Waco, Waco, free, free, free,
- 31:11Speaker 3: I have past protection responsibilities. But the quarterback will be
- 31:14Speaker 3: telling me, hey, if one comes, I want you to
- 31:16Speaker 3: run an angle. If two come, I want you to
- 31:17Speaker 3: run a flat like he would kind of change it
- 31:20Speaker 3: on the go because and so everybody handles it. Everybody
- 31:23Speaker 3: says something a little bit different, and I can't tell
- 31:25Speaker 3: any times I come back to the sideline if you're
- 31:26Speaker 3: catching a passing Denver and run back, So what are
- 31:28Speaker 3: you doing? I was like, Payton goes, okay, yeah, got it.
- 31:30Speaker 3: I got it. Say less because like everybody's going to
- 31:33Speaker 3: treat that a little bit different. Like so quarterbacks have
- 31:36Speaker 3: a little bit of freedom in the NFL to do
- 31:37Speaker 3: things like that. And like when I was listening to
- 31:39Speaker 3: Jay can or yesterday, like cerebral, like he was probably
- 31:43Speaker 3: the most of the group, honestly, like it just as
- 31:46Speaker 3: far as like how his mind worked, how he talked
- 31:48Speaker 3: about protections, how he talked about blitz is how he
- 31:50Speaker 3: talked about getting the running back, like in the right spot,
- 31:53Speaker 3: you gotta have something over the other guy that's keeping
- 31:56Speaker 3: them in the conversation, some of the things that he saw,
- 31:59Speaker 3: like he was talking fast about it, like he was understanding.
- 32:03Speaker 3: He knew kind of what they wanted to get done.
- 32:05Speaker 3: And so that's why, like everybody's going to be different
- 32:09Speaker 3: back there, even if it's the same offense, it's supposed
- 32:11Speaker 3: to be the same process, like human nature takes over.
- 32:14Speaker 3: And like if I was back there with you, you
- 32:16Speaker 3: would handle that. Like we always talk about the Auburn game,
- 32:19Speaker 3: how you kind of you moved me and sean into
- 32:21Speaker 3: a position that wasn't in a playbook to pick up
- 32:23Speaker 3: a blitz because you knew that we had to do
- 32:25Speaker 3: that to pick up the blitz. Like a young quarterback
- 32:29Speaker 3: like Apparrelel was in there no offense to him. He
- 32:31Speaker 3: would not have done that right, and so like, yes,
- 32:34Speaker 3: it's the same system, it's the same protection, but you're
- 32:37Speaker 3: going to have things play out differently, And that's why
- 32:39Speaker 3: it's important to know who your guy is and not
- 32:42Speaker 3: have three voices deep in a training camp.
- 32:45Speaker 7: You know, I hate like dual quarterback systems. I'm gonna
- 32:48Speaker 7: get too fired up if we keep talking about this, all.
- 32:52Speaker 3: Right, we'll be back talking LSU training camp right here
- 32:55Speaker 3: on OTV off the bench. We are so fired out
- 33:01Speaker 3: to be with the Russell Pool Company. Go to their

- 35:37Speaker 3: So LSU, as you well know, opened up camp yesterday
- 35:41Speaker 3: and the first day of training camp is never going
- 35:45Speaker 3: to be anything that you're going to get too up
- 35:47Speaker 3: too down about. I think everybody just gets really excited
- 35:51Speaker 3: the fact that everybody is back. But I will say
- 35:54Speaker 3: that for LSU, one of the more intriguing things was
- 35:58Speaker 3: going to be for me, what does it look like
- 36:01Speaker 3: left to right on the offensive line, because we don't
- 36:05Speaker 3: really know, like we don't have an idea and it's
- 36:07Speaker 3: not because you don't have candidates to do so. I
- 36:10Speaker 3: think you have some legit ones. You have seven eight
- 36:13Speaker 3: candidates that could be starters on the offensive line. But
- 36:16Speaker 3: you know what is right now the coaches between no
- 36:23Speaker 3: matter we're talking Brian Kelly, Joe Sloan, Brad Davis, Like,
- 36:26Speaker 3: what are the coach's mindsets right now and who they
- 36:28Speaker 3: think if they had a game today, who the starters
- 36:31Speaker 3: would be and from left to right and when Adams, Chester, Moore,
- 36:35Speaker 3: Thompson and Davis. That's Look, that's a group that we
- 36:42Speaker 3: weren't quite sure like being started multiple games last year.
- 36:47Speaker 3: He came in when there was an injury. Everybody thought, well, okay,
- 36:51Speaker 3: well surely he started last year. He's back again, like
- 36:53Speaker 3: he's gonna roll out there with the first team, but
- 36:56Speaker 3: does not play out that way. He actually goes with
- 36:58Speaker 3: the second team. Tyte, I know you're locked into this,
- 37:00Speaker 3: so I'll throw it to you first. Any surprise that
- 37:03Speaker 3: Paul Mubinga was not out there with the first team,
- 37:05Speaker 3: that it was Adams, Chester, Moore, Thompson, and Davis, No,
- 37:08Speaker 3: because that's kind of.
- 37:09Speaker 8: What everybody said it was going to be here in
- 37:11Speaker 8: the spring, Like if you remember, Chester still ran with
- 37:13Speaker 8: the ones at center it's spring, and like one of
- 37:16Speaker 8: the first things Kelly said at its press conference basically
- 37:19Speaker 8: laid out the Braila Moore is your starting center.
- 37:21Speaker 9: Yeah, because he said, hey, we have more at center.
- 37:23Speaker 8: Chester and Mebinga are still battling for that starting spot,
- 37:27Speaker 8: and then Echoles and Thompson are battling for that second
- 37:30Speaker 8: spot at the other guard position.
- 37:33Speaker 9: Not a surprise to me.
- 37:34Speaker 8: It kind of seemed like because like how DJ Chester
- 37:36Speaker 8: was a really good locker last year. I just didn't
- 37:39Speaker 8: think he was a very good center last year.
- 37:42Speaker 3: Like pre snap penalties, right the snap infraction?
- 37:45Speaker 9: How many of those did you have?
- 37:46Speaker 3: But eight? Yeah?
- 37:48Speaker 9: And then after the snap he was good. No, I
- 37:50Speaker 9: don't think that.
- 37:51Speaker 3: Every time he did one, I'd be on the broadcast
- 37:54Speaker 3: trying to keep my cool breaking pencils. Just break pencils
- 37:58Speaker 3: under the desk pencils, uh, each game seventeen.
- 38:03Speaker 10: Like a standard number nine pencil or is it just
- 38:06Speaker 10: like a mechanical kind of number number two?
- 38:10Speaker 2: Number two?
- 38:11Speaker 3: I don't know where nine came from.
- 38:14Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I hate to like steer this convo
- 38:19Speaker 7: away from the topic, but when was there ever a
- 38:23Speaker 7: different number pencil.
- 38:25Speaker 3: There's number one pencil there, number one? Your point, I
- 38:28Speaker 3: think I think it's a thicker pencil if I'm not mistaken.
- 38:31Speaker 5: But why But is the lead different?
- 38:33Speaker 7: Because when you have to fill out scan troll like,
- 38:35Speaker 7: I know, the size might be different when you had
- 38:37Speaker 7: to fill out scantron's back in the day.
- 38:39Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, I just figure like the lead was different.
- 38:43Speaker 10: We didn't do a mechanical pencil because it couldn't read it.
- 38:46Speaker 8: They always said that, and maybe that's why my grades
- 38:49Speaker 8: weren't where they should have been. I always used the
- 38:51Speaker 8: mechanical pencil and the scantrons.
- 38:53Speaker 5: It worked like like, looking back on it, why would
- 38:56Speaker 5: the chemical makeup of the it wasn't lead, I guess
- 38:59Speaker 5: graphi or whatever it was.
- 39:00Speaker 7: Why would that be any different? Why would the scantron
- 39:03Speaker 7: have an issue with a number three pencil? But is
- 39:06Speaker 7: there a number three pencil?
- 39:07Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 39:09Speaker 9: But to your point, Jake, no, I don't think it
- 39:11Speaker 9: was surprising.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Trede as Green got to start at tight end. And
- 39:16Speaker 3: again this is all thanks to our guy Hunt Palmer
- 39:18Speaker 3: Louisiansports dot Neat. Check out those daily practice reports running
- 39:23Speaker 3: back Cayden Durham. Of course, ness Meyer at quarterback, and
- 39:26Speaker 3: so second team offense. The receivers, Barrion Brown, Kyle Parker.
- 39:30Speaker 3: You had Destin Hill, Bower Sharp the tight end there.
- 39:33Speaker 3: Caleb Jackson was the running back with that group, and
- 39:35Speaker 3: Michael Van Buren was the quarterback. So no real surprises there.
- 39:39Speaker 3: I know Nick Anderson, Hunt points out, wasn't in that group.
- 39:43Speaker 3: He was at practice with a sleeve on his leg,
- 39:45Speaker 3: participated in individual drills one old ones and look full speed.
- 39:51Speaker 3: He said. But I guess they're easing him back. In
- 39:53Speaker 3: Oklahoma last year that was you know, Nick missed time
- 39:56Speaker 3: because of injury as well.
- 39:57Speaker 9: Well, not only that.
- 39:58Speaker 8: Kelly actually updated this said that the reason he was
- 40:01Speaker 8: out Anderson has to do a certain amount of technically
- 40:05Speaker 8: walk throughs. You got a concussion in that car wreck
- 40:07Speaker 8: that he was in about a month ago, so they're
- 40:10Speaker 8: working back. Kelly said, he should be good to go
- 40:12Speaker 8: like next week.
- 40:13Speaker 3: Yeah, don't get in a car wreck and try to
- 40:15Speaker 3: play against Arkansas on the road a couple of days later.
- 40:18Speaker 3: It's not great. You don't really remember how the game went.
- 40:21Speaker 3: That's why did you have a little brain bruise.
- 40:23Speaker 6: Yeah, it's a different time, different times at different times,
- 40:26Speaker 6: protocols turns out if your if your head knocks the
- 40:29Speaker 6: windshield out, you probably you probably should do it.
- 40:33Speaker 3: Nick's doing and what meatheads do? True?
- 40:37Speaker 10: You do?
- 40:38Speaker 7: You like kind of like a varsity blues like now
- 40:41Speaker 7: you got to ask him true false? Like oh Otherboudy,
- 40:43Speaker 7: he's holding up some fingers true or false?
- 40:45Speaker 3: True? Right, smelling salts, Oh yeah, yeah for sure, Uh there, yeah,
- 40:52Speaker 3: you'll be fine. On the defense. At defensive end, it
- 40:54Speaker 3: was Jack Peiemurn, Gabe Relaford at defensive tackle, my bro
- 40:58Speaker 3: and Dominic McKinley linebacker, and Wes Weeks star position, Harld Perkins,
- 41:03Speaker 3: which we've talked a lot about. You had Delane and
- 41:05Speaker 3: Stamps at corner. You had Cooley and Gilbert at safety. Now,
- 41:09Speaker 3: as we know, there's a lot of guys on that defense,
- 41:11Speaker 3: Like Devon Keys is going to have a role on
- 41:13Speaker 3: that defense. I fully expect him in West Weeks to
- 41:16Speaker 3: have a full rotation the defensive line. You know how
- 41:20Speaker 3: that goes to also be rotating corner. You had Woodland
- 41:23Speaker 3: and Pickett as your second team at corners, Tebiano and
- 41:27Speaker 3: Halsee where your second team safety's there. Safety is going
- 41:30Speaker 3: to be a position we continue to look at throughout
- 41:32Speaker 3: training camp. Linebacker. I think you got a really good group. Star.
- 41:37Speaker 3: You had Singleton there backing up Harold Perkins, which the
- 41:40Speaker 3: star position in Blake's defense is, you know, it's it's
- 41:43Speaker 3: more of linebacker than it is dB. So Harold Perkins
- 41:48Speaker 3: being out there, good to see him back out. Vine
- 41:51Speaker 3: Keys can also play star. I never really.
- 41:54Speaker 7: I never played a team where we called anybody a star,
- 41:58Speaker 7: so I don't even really know what the star does.
- 42:01Speaker 3: Think. I think Nicol Sam. I think Nicol Sam more
- 42:04Speaker 3: than Nickel. Nickel Sam like a true you know, like
- 42:07Speaker 3: the twiner linebacker you played against.
- 42:10Speaker 5: You know in the NFL that wasn't that many.
- 42:14Speaker 3: You didn't play against a bunch of those guys Like
- 42:16Speaker 3: I feel like the Chiefs.
- 42:16Speaker 5: There's nobody else good.
- 42:17Speaker 3: I like that. I feel like the Chiefs when we
- 42:19Speaker 3: played like they always had.
- 42:20Speaker 7: The twiners were the guys that could play like Sam
- 42:24Speaker 7: or defensive end that was those were the twiners, like
- 42:26Speaker 7: the Clay Matthews type that would have his hand in
- 42:28Speaker 7: the dirt, but.
- 42:29Speaker 3: Then he would also roam around.
- 42:32Speaker 7: See, it wouldn't anybody that was like good enough linebacker
- 42:35Speaker 7: to stick his nose in there and stop a run
- 42:36Speaker 7: and then also defend a pass.
- 42:38Speaker 3: Those oy, we have a ton of those. I feel
- 42:40Speaker 3: like the Raiders and the Chiefs. I'm trying to think
- 42:42Speaker 3: of the Bronco like the Broncos kind of used like
- 42:44Speaker 3: later in his career. That's kind of how they use
- 42:46Speaker 3: Brian Dawkins whenever we play against them, or we just never.
- 42:49Speaker 5: I've never used the term star I hear. I hear
- 42:51Speaker 5: people talk about it all the time.
- 42:52Speaker 3: Yeah, there's not stars in Green Bay, Wisconsin. And on
- 42:54Speaker 3: that note, we'll take a break more O TV when
- 42:56Speaker 3: we come back one O four five ESPN. Ben Rouge

- 44:15Speaker 1: Rouge's go to for all things Louisiana sports.
- 44:18Speaker 3: Come on, yes, all right, hold on, I mean, your
- 44:38Speaker 3: pop's got got some great taste here.
- 44:40Speaker 6: I mean this is like my play let's listening to
- 44:42Speaker 6: all this sexy music for he has three kids, so.
- 44:48Speaker 3: I just think he's got good taste in music.
- 44:50Speaker 5: One, I mean underdiably sexy music.
- 44:53Speaker 10: Though well, like he's fifty three, so like old, No, No,
- 45:00Speaker 10: I'll do that.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I'll do that. Don't be like you're not that far
- 45:04Speaker 3: away from my note.
- 45:05Speaker 4: That's I want to try to say.
- 45:07Speaker 3: I know, trying to say, like, wait, wait, hold, how
- 45:10Speaker 3: old are you? Twenty seven twenty seven?
- 45:13Speaker 10: Well, I liked that you thought I was twenty four
- 45:15Speaker 10: twenty seven.
- 45:16Speaker 3: You said you'd fifty three. Yeah, so I'm the same
- 45:19Speaker 3: age away from both the years.
- 45:22Speaker 7: You are.
- 45:23Speaker 5: So I got some some pencil answers for us. Oh,
- 45:27Speaker 5: the number two.
- 45:28Speaker 7: The number denotes the hardness level of the graphite of
- 45:32Speaker 7: the lead, and the brightness the darkness level. So number
- 45:35Speaker 7: one a little bit softer, is darker, Number two like
- 45:38Speaker 7: a medium softness, all right, And three four is a harder,
- 45:43Speaker 7: and it gets harder as you get higher, and so
- 45:44Speaker 7: it means that's a lighter lead color.
- 45:47Speaker 3: So denotes the hardness I only ever seen number two.
- 45:50Speaker 3: Now you know the rest of the story, Bobby Carter
- 45:52Speaker 3: kick off a number two off the bench, all right,
- 45:57Speaker 3: go to katy z blinds dot com. Kay t o

- 46:13Speaker 3: but they measured, got it ordered, they knew it color.
- 46:16Speaker 3: We needed to match our cabinets. I mean Brandon came
- 46:18Speaker 3: in with the book turned right to the page. Boom.
- 46:20Speaker 3: It was their custom and just I mean no time
