- 0:10[SPEAKER_00]: I'm Jordan Aluga.
- 0:11[SPEAKER_00]: Thanks so much for being here.
- 0:12[SPEAKER_00]: Thursday, December 4th.
- 0:15[SPEAKER_00]: Getting ready for Jack Wars at Colts.
- 0:17[SPEAKER_00]: We've got our preview for this football game right now.
- 0:20[SPEAKER_00]: They're certainly...
- 0:21[SPEAKER_00]: Some storylines yet to be determined on how they're going to impact this game.
- 0:26[SPEAKER_00]: We're going to talk about all that good stuff and and dive pretty deep into this one.
- 0:30[SPEAKER_00]: So really appreciate y'all being here.
- 0:32[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 0:34[SPEAKER_00]: It's all jacks all the time.
- 0:37[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know how you're feeling about this game in the comment section below.
- 0:40[SPEAKER_00]: If you want to support the channel further, check out jingjag.com.
- 0:43[SPEAKER_00]: Pick up some new Duval gear, help support the channel.
- 0:46[SPEAKER_00]: Look good while doing it.
- 0:47[SPEAKER_00]: So the jack wars.
- 0:50[SPEAKER_00]: Colts, eight and four, tied for the division lead right now.
- 0:54[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguar is holding the tiebreaker due to wins or winning percentage against common opponents, but the tiebreaker will go to the team who wins this game, at least for the time being, obviously this is the first of two games between these two divisional opponents, massive implications for both teams.
- 1:13[SPEAKER_00]: Whoever wins this game will have a one game lead in the division with only four games
- 1:20[SPEAKER_00]: the tiebreaker at least until the next time the two teams play, which will be the second to last week of the season.
- 1:27[SPEAKER_00]: The Colts, they do have a much tougher road ahead following this game than the Jag Wars do.
- 1:33[SPEAKER_00]: Again, first of two meetings, but the Colts, they also play Seattle.
- 1:38[SPEAKER_00]: Next week in Seattle, they host the 49ers, they host the Jag Wars and finish the season
- 1:51[SPEAKER_00]: On the Jaguar side, a win would all but guarantee them 11 wins on the season.
- 1:57[SPEAKER_00]: If they get to nine wins following week 14, they still have games against, obviously, the Colts, as we mentioned, but they still have games against the Jets and Titans.
- 2:09[SPEAKER_00]: Both of those games are in Jacksonville, very winnable.
- 2:12[SPEAKER_00]: So 11 wins would be staring them in the face as long as they don't have an epic collapse, right?
- 2:17[SPEAKER_00]: look, season won't be decided on Sunday, not by any means.
- 2:22[SPEAKER_00]: But once again, this is a massively important game for both teams.
- 2:26[SPEAKER_00]: Perhaps slightly more important for the cold to have a tougher road ahead.
- 2:30[SPEAKER_00]: But don't tell the Jaguars that they want this one, just as bad as the cults.
- 2:35[SPEAKER_00]: The Jacksonville Jaguars have not lost to the cults.
- 2:41[SPEAKER_00]: In Jacksonville, in over a decade,
- 2:45[SPEAKER_00]: Duval County has been a house of horrors for the cults, losing every year in Duval since 2014.
- 2:53[SPEAKER_00]: But the cults, they're still favored by one and a half points in this one.
- 2:57[SPEAKER_00]: That is a bit odd considering they've lost three of their last four games while the Jag Awards have won three in a row and four of five overall.
- 3:07[SPEAKER_00]: Two of their last three wins have been in blowout fashion.
- 3:12[SPEAKER_00]: I think looking at this game, we've talked about it a little bit already, but we have to talk about these injuries.
- 3:20[SPEAKER_00]: And now that the Jaguars in the Coles are both practiced on Wednesday, there is a little bit more clarity moving forward, but injury reports will be critical to watch over the next couple of days.
- 3:31[SPEAKER_00]: For the Colts, no soft scarred mirror with a calf strain.
- 3:34[SPEAKER_00]: That's not like officially official that he won't play, but he's considered weak to weak.
- 3:38[SPEAKER_00]: It would be shocking if he suited up and I think pretty much impossible at this point.
- 3:43[SPEAKER_00]: No to four is buckner with a neck injury.
- 3:46[SPEAKER_00]: He's still on IR for at least one more week.
- 3:49[SPEAKER_00]: So, your two best defensive players for the Colts not playing in this game.
- 3:53[SPEAKER_00]: Daniel Jones starting quarterback will play with a fractured fibula.
- 4:02[SPEAKER_00]: And then you also have Colts Receiver Josh Downs who excellent route runner, excellent football player.
- 4:08[SPEAKER_00]: He did not participate in practice on Wednesday with injuries to his hip and his knee.
- 4:14[SPEAKER_00]: Rotational defensive linemen, Taikwong, Lewis didn't practice Wednesday for the Colts with an ankle injury, nickel corner, Kenny Moore, one of the best nickels in the game.
- 4:23[SPEAKER_00]: He didn't practice with an ankle injury slash illness.
- 4:27[SPEAKER_00]: So those are big injuries to monitor.
- 4:32[SPEAKER_00]: But the two biggest, the forest bugger and saws gardener, there's nothing to monitor on that one.
- 4:39[SPEAKER_00]: They're not going to play in this game.
- 4:41[SPEAKER_00]: On the Jaguar side, we'll stick with the players who didn't practice because it is an incredibly long injury report.
- 4:48[SPEAKER_00]: Full injury reports are available on the Jaguar social channels specifically Twitter for sure.
- 4:52[SPEAKER_00]: So you can check that out if you want to see the full thing.
- 4:55[SPEAKER_00]: But Walker little, dealing with a concussion, did not practice.
- 5:00[SPEAKER_00]: his replacement would likely be Cole Van Lannon, who has performed admirably at four different spots on the offensive line, coming in and playing for a variety of players who have been injured at different spots, left tackle, right tackle, left guard, right guard.
- 5:16[SPEAKER_00]: Trave on Walker.
- 5:18[SPEAKER_00]: This is a huge one.
- 5:19[SPEAKER_00]: Did not participate with a knee injury.
- 5:21[SPEAKER_00]: He hasn't practiced for a couple of weeks and seems feels unlikely to go, right?
- 5:25[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, I don't know how you spend it any other way at this point.
- 5:29[SPEAKER_00]: Sure, he could get the practice field today.
- 5:32[SPEAKER_00]: and potentially play, but it doesn't feel good there.
- 5:36[SPEAKER_00]: More playing time for Danny Striggow, who has played well, and several others, who would get more playing time if there's no Tribal Walker, but I do think Danny Striggow would be the main replacement there.
- 5:47[SPEAKER_00]: He doesn't provide the same level of athleticism, physical dominance, but he plays his butt off and he does make plays.
- 5:58[SPEAKER_00]: More playing time for him, not necessarily a bad thing, obviously you won't drive on walk out there.
- 6:03[SPEAKER_00]: Parker Washington could not go with a hip injury.
- 6:06[SPEAKER_00]: That knocked him out of the game last week against the Titans.
- 6:09[SPEAKER_00]: So if there's no Parker Washington possibly more de-hommie Brown who was a healthy scratch last week, Tim Patrick, Austin Tramwell, who the Jaguar is waived but then added back to the practice squad they can elevate him if they feel they need to, I would guess that they will.
- 6:24[SPEAKER_00]: could also just see a lot more multiple tight insets.
- 6:28[SPEAKER_00]: You have a hundred long available.
- 6:30[SPEAKER_00]: You have Quentin Morris, Johnny Month, and of course, Britain Strange.
- 6:35[SPEAKER_00]: So maybe you live in a world where you get in a lot more.
- 6:39[SPEAKER_00]: You know, kind of jumbo offensive sets for the Jaguars.
- 6:43[SPEAKER_00]: And then Andrew Winger, also couldn't practice with a concussion, Eric Murray looks like he could be, you know, possibly returning this week.
- 6:51[SPEAKER_00]: The Jaguars opened up his 21 day practice when window last week.
- 6:55[SPEAKER_00]: and he's been practicing in the limited fashion.
- 6:58[SPEAKER_00]: The two guys that they definitely have available, Antonio Johnson and Rayon Lane have both performed well.
- 7:04[SPEAKER_00]: Antonio Johnson's basically been a starter for a lot of this year to injury, and he's done a good job, hasn't been perfect every single game, but overall has been a positive impact for the Jack Wars and Rayon Lane.
- 7:15[SPEAKER_00]: The rookie has also been a positive impact for the Jack Wars, not only on special teams, but also on the defensive side of the ball when he's gotten his
- 7:25[SPEAKER_00]: looking at, you know, kind of where the strengths and weaknesses lie with these teams, the cults, they are really good at running the ball, Jonathan Taylor, obviously.
- 7:36[SPEAKER_00]: They're also really good at stopping the run.
- 7:39[SPEAKER_00]: So are the jacks, so they're little bit mirrors of each other in a way, obviously it's not the same level of talent on both sides and both facets of that game, but both teams are good at running the ball, both teams are good at stopping the run.
- 7:55[SPEAKER_00]: That feels really important for a game in which rain is expected most of the day.
- 8:01[SPEAKER_00]: You never know in Florida, you never know with with weather, right?
- 8:06[SPEAKER_00]: I could be telling you tonight it's going to rain all night and you don't see a drop.
- 8:10[SPEAKER_00]: So things can change quickly, but rain is expected all weekend.
- 8:15[SPEAKER_00]: So.
- 8:17[SPEAKER_00]: oftentimes in a weather impacted game you try to stick to the ground game both teams are really good at stopping the run both teams are good at running the ball so the team that does a better job in the trenches I mean that very well could be the deciding factor in this football game obviously a lot of other things will impact the game as well Daniel Jones hasn't been as impressive lately
- 8:39[SPEAKER_00]: he'll be more of a pocket passer in this one with that leg injury he just can't really get out on the run he can't move the same way doesn't have the same twitch explosiveness and speed so more of a pocket passer Daniel Jones this week i think that bodes well for the jag wars as compared to having a fully healthy Daniel Jones there's no question really
- 8:58[SPEAKER_00]: in my mind about that.
- 9:00[SPEAKER_00]: But for the cults, like I mentioned, it's kind of all about Jonathan Taylor, perhaps the best running back in football, certainly statistically he is this year.
- 9:09[SPEAKER_00]: If the Jaguars can slow him down, I know it's low hanging fruit, but they'll likely win.
- 9:15[SPEAKER_00]: If not, good luck.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: Really.
- 9:18[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, it kind of has come down to that in a lot of games for the cults this year.
- 9:23[SPEAKER_00]: If opponents can really slow down Jonathan Taylor for a lot of the game and not have
- 9:29[SPEAKER_00]: 80, 70, 80, 90 yard run, and also not allow him to pick up five, six, seven yards every time they win.
- 9:41[SPEAKER_00]: If not, they look so.
- 9:44[SPEAKER_00]: That's really the biggest match up there.
- 9:46[SPEAKER_00]: But it's not like there aren't other areas of the team that can step up for the Colton Beach.
- 9:52[SPEAKER_00]: You know, the receivers, even if Josh Downs can't play, are talented, Tyler Warren.
- 9:57[SPEAKER_00]: And elite, young, receiving tight end.
- 10:00[SPEAKER_00]: I mean, he can do a lot more than just catch the ball, but crazy hands, crazy physical athleticism at his size.
- 10:09[SPEAKER_00]: He's a problem.
- 10:10[SPEAKER_00]: And the Jack Wars, we all know.
- 10:11[SPEAKER_00]: They struggle with Titans.
- 10:12[SPEAKER_00]: Michael Pittman, he's had some big games against the Jack Wars.
- 10:15[SPEAKER_00]: He's still out there.
- 10:16[SPEAKER_00]: Alec Pierce.
- 10:18[SPEAKER_00]: as complimentary skill sets with both of those guys.
- 10:20[SPEAKER_00]: He can kind of win down the field for you.
- 10:23[SPEAKER_00]: So even though they got rid of Mitchell, who wasn't doing much, but now kind of has shown up for the jets, even if Josh Downs can't play, they still have receivers that can threaten you.
- 10:32[SPEAKER_00]: And Daniel Jones has been accurate with the football this year to pretty much all levels of the field.
- 10:37[SPEAKER_00]: For the Jag wars, if they can't run the ball effectively, which we have seen them win games and win games convincingly, even in games where they haven't been able to run the ball all that well.
- 10:47[SPEAKER_00]: But they're going to try to run if they can't throwing it to Jacobi Myers and Britain strange has been about as fruitful as you could possibly hope for.
- 11:00[SPEAKER_00]: It's been more impressive than I would have even expected by a long shot.
- 11:04[SPEAKER_00]: Those two receivers, when targeted by Trevor Loans have caught 85% of their targets, that is an astounding number.
- 11:13[SPEAKER_00]: Truly.
- 11:14[SPEAKER_00]: Trevor Lawrence, speaking of, he's playing a lot better football since the buy, and the Jaguar's team as a whole is playing better football since the buy, as I mentioned, they've won four or five, they've been good against the run, they've been getting pressure on the quarterback, they've been better in coverage, they've been throwing the football better.
- 11:31[SPEAKER_00]: There's a lot going right for the Jaguars right now, but this cult's defense, even without Defore's Buckner and Sauce Gardner, it's a different beast than what Trevor Lawrence is used to, playing the cults.
- 11:44[SPEAKER_00]: Out with Gus Bradley, who ran one of the most vanilla basic defenses in football, and with Lou Ann Arumo, who is a tricky study, he will try to force mistakes by being unpredictable with his play calling.
- 11:55[SPEAKER_00]: and providing different coverage looks.
- 11:57[SPEAKER_00]: So Trevor Lawrence, at the line of scrimmage, pre-snap and post-snap is gonna have to be on it to avoid having game-changing turnovers against the cults.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: There's no question about that.
- 12:09[SPEAKER_00]: Luana Rumo is such a good game-plan defense of coordinator.
- 12:14[SPEAKER_00]: As Jaguar's head coach, Liam Cohen pointed out earlier this week.
- 12:18[SPEAKER_00]: This game, it's a tough one to predict, you know, on the one hand, the Jaguars, they've beaten the cults
- 12:25[SPEAKER_00]: for over a decade straight.
- 12:28[SPEAKER_00]: They are the much hotter team at the moment as well.
- 12:31[SPEAKER_00]: On the other hand, the Colts have multiple superpowers on offense, Jonathan Taylor, Tyler Warren, a tricky defense, and their backs are firmly against the wall in this game.
- 12:45[SPEAKER_00]: They are in much more of a must win, get yourself, build some confidence.
- 12:57[SPEAKER_00]: 9 out of 10 NFL Network analysts went with the Jaguars, and their predictions this week, while ESPN is split on the matchup.
- 13:06[SPEAKER_00]: Again, the Colts are favored by one and a half.
- 13:09[SPEAKER_00]: We'd love to know what your confidence level is going into this one.
- 13:12[SPEAKER_00]: Let me know in the comment section below.
- 13:14[SPEAKER_00]: We will have a lot more coverage of this football game getting you ready for Sunday at the bank, one PM, Jaguars wearing their prowlers, maybe that's their superpower.
- 13:26[SPEAKER_00]: Really appreciate y'all being here.
- 13:27[SPEAKER_00]: If you enjoy the content, please like and subscribe.
- 13:30[SPEAKER_00]: Y'all have a good one.
