  governor of Minnesota. He's been in office since 2019

  and just finished serving as Kamala Harris's running mate in

  the 2024 election. Before that, he was AUS

  Congressman for Minnesota's First district from 2007 to

  2019. A high school teacher, football

  coach, and a 24 year veteran of the Army National Guard.

  He retired as a Command Sergeant Major.

  He's a pretty standard Midwestern Democrat, big on

  rural issues, teachers unions, and progressive policies.

  Once he got to the governor's office, free school meals,

  strong abortion rights protections, paid family leave,

  legal weed, etcetera. People either see him as an

  affable folksy dad type or criticize him for flipping more

  progressive after he left his moderate Congressional District.

  Plus there's ongoing heat about some biographical exaggerations,

  like how he described his military rank and a couple

  comments about carrying weapons in war when he never deployed to

  a combat zone. What specific fraud angles in

  Shall we start with Feeding Our Future, the biggest pandemic

  relief scam in U.S. history? Nearly $800 million funnelled

  through community groups, lunches that never happened,

  kids who never existed, and Waltz's administration signed

  off on the oversight. Critics say he rushed the

  program, ignored red flags. Supporters say he's as shocked

  as anyone. Where do you lot want to steer

  Talk about all the frauds, all the scams, all the nonsense this

  man has ever done. I've I've listened to him for

  years and I just get garbage. And every time I look at him I

  looked the other way while millions vanished, to the way he

  handled the George Floyd riots, he signed off on billions in

  relief. Yet somehow Minneapolis is still

  a crater. Funny thing is, he'll stand

  there with that earnest teacher voice talking about equity and

  kids having enough to eat while audits show ghost schools and

  fake invoices. Makes you wonder what else he's

  smiled through. It sounds pretty rough.

  since we last chatted. 2025 has been brutal for Waltz on this

  front. Feeding our future was just the

  from the Somali community. But now feds say it's exploded

  into industrial scale fraud across at least 14 state

  kids who don't exist, housing stabilisation, cash that just

  vanished, adult day care scams, you name it.

  Waltz keeps saying no evidence for the biggest figures and that

  week, and House Republicans launched a full investigation

  into why his administration allegedly ignored whistleblowers

  Trump's all over it, calling Minnesota a fraud hub and

  revoking TPS for Somalis. Waltz finally created a new

  director of program integrity job like 10 days ago and paused

  some licensing, but critics are screaming it's way too late.

  Even the New York Times ran a monster piece basically saying

  the state got played because nobody wanted to ask hard

  questions. It's the kind of scandal that

  could tank his shot at a third term next year.

  in Kenya, the works. Over 80 people charged, mostly

  Somali American defendants. Dozens already convicted or

  pleading guilty. Then it's spider webbed out.

  Feds followed the money and found the same networks hitting

  Medicaid programs like a buffet, autism therapy, the EIDBI

  program, ghost clinics, paying parents kickbacks to get their

  kids nibbled, autistic, then billing Medicaid 6 figures per

  kid for therapy that never happened.

  One guy just plead guilty last week for millions.

  Prosecutors say some defendants were literally recruiting kids

  in parking lots. Housing stabilisation services

  launched during COVID to keep people from becoming homeless

  exploded to hundreds of millions a year.

  Providers rented cheap apartments, claimed they were

  delivering round the clock support, then pocketed the cash.

  Five more charged just last Thursday.

  Feds raided a bunch more this month.

  Addiction treatment centres, adult day cares in home supports

  14 different programs total now under the microscope.

  Assistant US Attorney Joe Thompson went on record saying

  the fraud is industrial scale and could top 9 billion when

  it's all counted half the 18 billion Minnesota paid out since

  2018. Waltz calls that number

  sensationalized and says real losses are in the 10s of

  1,000,000, but even he admitted back in July it could hit a

  billion. House Republicans opened a full

  investigation, demanding every e-mail Waltz's team ever got

  about red flags. Whistleblowers say the state

  ignored warnings for years because they didn't want to look

  Trump's hammering it daily already revoked TPS for Somalis

  And the craziest part? Some of the same people indicted

  photos of her and Waltz smiling and posing at community events

  Somali dude, illegal immigrant, prior fraud convictions.

  Right wing sites are plastering those pics everywhere saying

  There's a bunch of Somali guys in Minnesota getting rounded up

  right now for everything from fraud to DV to DUI, but no

  single wife beater stands out as the ringleader.

  between Waltz and Omar here is they both heavily courted the

  Somali community for votes, championed the programs that got

  Education waved through hundreds of new nonprofit providers

  during COVID with the explicit policy of get the money out the

  door fast, we'll audit later. They even sued a tiny nonprofit,

  Feeding Our Future when it tried to do basic fraud checks because

  it was slowing distribution. 2 whistleblowers inside DHS and

  the state auditor's office started screaming in 2021 that

  the same handful of Somali linked groups were claiming to

  feed thousands of kids at sites that were literally abandoned

  buildings or parking lots. The state's response?

  They froze the whistleblower non profit, not the scammers,

  the state while out on bail. So yeah, it's not oops we missed

  bragging about nation leading generosity while the vault was

  The House Oversight probe is demanding every e-mail and text

  from Waltz's inner circle now, and the US Attorney in Minnesota
