- 0:02Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
- 0:06rooted in Scripture and relevant for today, April 5th.
- 0:11Faith that changes everything. There are moments in life when
- 0:15everything feels heavy at once. Fear, confusion, stress,
- 0:19temptation, disappointment, and spiritual exhaustion can pile up
- 0:23until your heart feels crowded and restless.
- 0:26In those moments, it can seem like peace is very far away.
- 0:30Proverbs chapter 13 verses 21 to 22 reminds us that disaster
- 0:35pursues sinners, but the righteous are rewarded with
- 0:38good. Then in Mark chapter 5 verse 9,
- 0:42Jesus speaks to a man whose life had been overwhelmed by
- 0:44darkness, and the man replies, My name is Legion, for we are
- 0:49many. That story is intense because it
- 0:52shows a life that looked completely out of control, but
- 0:56it also shows the absolute authority of Jesus.
- 0:59What no one else could fix, Jesus confronted.
- 1:02What no one else could come, Jesus, brought into order.
- 1:06The man who had been bound, isolated, and tormented was
- 1:09restored by the presence and power of Christ.
- 1:12Maybe your life does not look like that on the outside, but
- 1:15internally it can still feel chaotic.
- 1:18Maybe your mind is crowded. Maybe your emotions feel all
- 1:21over the place. Maybe you are carrying hidden
- 1:24battles that no one sees. And maybe you wonder whether
- 1:27change is really possible. Mark chapter 5 reminds us that
- 1:32Jesus is not intimidated by the places in us that feel most
- 1:35broken. At the same time, Proverbs
- 1:38reminds us that our choices matter.
- 1:40Sin is not harmless. It opens doors to pain.
- 1:44But righteousness, by God's grace, leads toward life.
- 1:48So this is not only a message about Jesus rescuing us from
- 1:51chaos, it is also a call to stop making peace with the things
- 1:55that keep feeding the chaos. Jesus does not just manage your
- 1:59mess, He transforms it. He brings peace where there was
- 2:03torment, clarity where there was confusion, and dignity where
- 2:06there was shame. Whatever feels too big for you
- 2:09is not too big for him. Let's pray.
- 2:12Heavenly Father, thank You that nothing in my life is beyond
- 2:16your power. When my mind feels crowded and
- 2:18my heart feels overwhelmed, help me turn to You.
- 2:21Instead of giving in to fear, break every chain that keeps me
- 2:25bound and teach me to walk in the freedom you give.
- 2:28Help me choose what is right and trust that You can bring peace
- 2:31into every place of chaos. In Jesus name, Amen.
- 2:41What if you could rise up and declare with full spiritual
- 2:43authority, I shall not die, but live?

- 3:39Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
- 3:42Bible reading plan. Proverbs Chapter 13, Verses 21
- 3:47to 23 World English Bible Misfortune pursues sinners, but
- 3:52prosperity rewards the righteous.
- 3:55A good man leaves an inheritance to his children's children, but
- 3:58the wealth of the Sinner is stored for the righteous.
- 4:02An abundance of food is in poor people's fields, but injustice
- 4:05sweeps it away. Mark Chapter 5 World English
- 4:09Bible They came to the other side of the sea, into the
- 4:12country of the Gadarenes. When he had come out of the
- 4:15boat, immediately a man with an unclean spirit met him out of
- 4:19the tombs. He lived in the tombs.
- 4:22Nobody could bind him anymore, not even with chains, because he
- 4:26had been often bound with fetters and chains, and the
- 4:29chains have been torn apart by him and the fetters broken in
- 4:32pieces. Nobody had the strength to tame
- 4:35him. Always night and day in the
- 4:37tombs and in the mountains. He was crying out and cutting
- 4:40himself with stones. When he saw Jesus from afar.
- 4:44He ran and bowed down to him and crying out with a loud voice he
- 4:48said, what have I to do with you?
- 4:50Jesus, you son of the Most High God, I adore you by God, don't
- 4:54torment me. For he said to him, Come out of
- 4:57the man, you unclean spirit. He asked him, what is your name?
- 5:01He said to him, My name is legion, for we are many.
- 5:05He begged him much that he would not send them away out of the
- 5:08country. Now on the mountainside there
- 5:11was a great herd of pigs feeding.
- 5:13All the demons begged him, saying, Send us into the pigs,
- 5:16that we may enter into them at once.
- 5:19Jesus gave them permission. The unclean spirits came out and
- 5:23entered into the pigs. The herd of about 2000 rushed
- 5:27down the steep bank into the sea, and they were drowned in
- 5:29the sea. Those who fed the pigs fled and
- 5:33told it in the city and in the country.
- 5:35The people came to see what it was that it happened.
- 5:39They came to Jesus and saw Him who had been possessed by demons
- 5:42sitting clothed and in his right mind, even him who had the
- 5:46Legion, and they were afraid. Those who saw it declared to
- 5:50them what happened to him who was possessed by demons and
- 5:53about the pigs. They began to beg him to depart
- 5:56from their region. As he was entering into the
- 5:59boat, He who had been possessed by demons begged him that he
- 6:03might be with him. He didn't allow him, but said to
- 6:06him, Go to your house, to your friends, and tell them what
- 6:09great things the Lord has done for you, and how he had mercy on
- 6:12you. He went his way and began to
- 6:15proclaim into capitalists how Jesus had done great things for
- 6:18him, and everyone marveled. When Jesus had crossed back over
- 6:23in the boat to the other side, a great multitude was gathered to
- 6:26him, and he was by the sea. Behold, one of the rulers of the
- 6:31synagogue, Jairus by name, came, and seeing him, he fell at his
- 6:35feet and begged him much, saying, My little daughter is at
- 6:38the point of death, please come and lay your hands on her, that
- 6:42she may be made healthy and live.
- 6:45He went with him, and a great multitude followed him, and they
- 6:48pressed upon him on all sides. A certain woman who had a
- 6:52discharge of blood for 12 years and had suffered many things by
- 6:55many physicians, and it spent all that she had and was no
- 6:59better, but rather grew worse. Having heard the things
- 7:03concerning Jesus, came up behind him in the crowd and touched his
- 7:06clothes. For she said, If I just touch
- 7:10his clothes, I will be made well.
- 7:12Immediately the flow of her blood was dried up, and she felt
- 7:15in her body that she was healed of her affliction.
- 7:18Immediately Jesus, perceiving in himself that the power had gone
- 7:21out from him, turned around in the crowd and asked Who touched
- 7:25my clothes? His disciples said to him, You
- 7:29see the multitude pressing against you, and you say, Who
- 7:32touched me? He looked around to see her who
- 7:34had done this thing. But the woman, fearing and
- 7:37trembling, knowing what had been done to her, came and fell down
- 7:41before him and told him all the truth.
- 7:43He said to her daughter, Your faith has made you well.
- 7:47Go in peace and be cured of your disease.
- 7:49While he was still speaking, people came from the synagogue
- 7:52ruler's house saying, Your daughter is dead, why bother the
- 7:56teacher anymore? But Jesus, when he heard the
- 7:59message spoken, immediately said to the ruler of the synagogue,
- 8:03don't be afraid, only believe. He allowed no one to follow him
- 8:08except Peter, James and John, the brother of James.
- 8:12He came to the synagogue ruler's house, and he saw an uproar,
- 8:15weeping and great wailing. When he had entered in, he said
- 8:18to them, Why do you make an uproar and weep?
- 8:21The child is not dead, but is asleep.
- 8:24They ridiculed him, but he, having put them all out, took
- 8:28the father of the child, her mother, and those who were with
- 8:31him, and went in where the child was lying.
- 8:34Taking the child by the hand, he said to her, Telleth Acumi,
- 8:38which means being interpreted, Girl, I tell you, get up
- 8:41immediately. The girl rose up and walked, for
- 8:43she was 12 years old. They were amazed with great
- 8:47amazement. He strictly ordered them that no
- 8:50one should know this and commanded that something should
- 8:53be given to her to eat. Thanks for joining us on Bible
