- 0:10Speaker 2: The World's a regional podcast. Welcome to Patriots Unfiltered. I
- 0:20Speaker 2: just want to check something. You didn't hear me, right, Alex,
- 0:25Speaker 2: she's here because the Celtics green teamer number one that
- 0:28Speaker 2: was some ulterior comes what it celebrated, something to do
- 0:32Speaker 2: with you know, she thinks her.
- 0:35Speaker 3: And he explains step by step why and by the
- 0:38Speaker 3: rule that is not.
- 0:39Speaker 4: A travel right because it's the points, it's a rule point.
- 0:43Speaker 3: They're not following that.
- 0:44Speaker 5: I started tearing up a little bit with the Douce stuff,
- 0:47Speaker 5: like it's.
- 0:48Speaker 2: A little moment.
- 0:50Speaker 5: And then hearing people talk about like Tommy, I don't know,
- 0:52Speaker 5: I'm emotional.
- 0:53Speaker 2: It might be that time of month, but whatever.
- 0:57Speaker 4: Eighteen different games they were over forty percent. Yeah, team here.
- 1:00Speaker 4: Do you think Mike, that's pretty good? Is that? What
- 1:03Speaker 4: about what you had a calculator? Approximately?
- 1:05Speaker 2: And I think the clear spark for the team was Pritchard.
- 1:08Speaker 3: Yeah, and the halftimes when they were already what's the
- 1:12Speaker 3: guy Pereira or whatever his name is with the.
- 1:14Speaker 2: N CA, Mike, Mike care and as you recall you
- 1:18Speaker 2: were the only live music enjoyer in the room. That's
- 1:21Speaker 2: not true. It's not the music. I don't it's the crowd, right,
- 1:26Speaker 2: It's just not I don't want to deal with humanity.
- 1:28Speaker 2: This is Patriot's Unfiltered.
- 1:30Speaker 6: Presented by Toyota's official website for deals by a Toyota
- 1:34Speaker 6: dot com.
- 1:36Speaker 2: All right, welcome the Patriots Unfiltered. It is Thursday here
- 1:40Speaker 2: at che Let's Stadium. We're still in our temporary studios
- 1:43Speaker 2: that will be in for the next few weeks until
- 1:45Speaker 2: our regular studio gets a whole new facelift. That can't
- 1:49Speaker 2: wait for that. That's gonna be really cool. But it's Evan,
- 1:52Speaker 2: it's Paul, it's myself maybe tomorrow later. I'm not sure.
- 1:57Speaker 2: Deuce is out Where is he? It's it's on the Cape,
- 2:01Speaker 2: on the Cape. You're off Cape. I'm off Cape, but
- 2:05Speaker 2: I'll be back on Cape.
- 2:06Speaker 4: Okay.
- 2:07Speaker 2: But yes, so this is truly the dog days of
- 2:11Speaker 2: the NFL. Right, yeah, this is really it.
- 2:13Speaker 4: Right, although there was, you know, nationally, I was driving
- 2:18Speaker 4: in this morning a fairly interesting thing. Evidently, NFL network
- 2:22Speaker 4: is claiming that this a movement to foot to sort
- 2:26Speaker 4: of separate salary cap space for quarterbacks.
- 2:30Speaker 2: Yes, yeah, what do you think of that?
- 2:32Speaker 3: It's interesting. I always felt like we were trending towards
- 2:36Speaker 3: something along those lines, like the NBA has max contracts,
- 2:38Speaker 3: and that's the maximum that you could possibly make. Is
- 2:41Speaker 3: a formula of the cap.
- 2:43Speaker 2: I feel like that, But it doesn't single out a position.
- 2:46Speaker 3: No, no, but it does have certain parameters to it
- 2:50Speaker 3: that we are kind of you're a superstar, and I.
- 2:54Speaker 2: Get it, you know, I mean, I just.
- 2:56Speaker 4: I'd like to see the details of it before I
- 2:59Speaker 4: say like that's stupid or that's the best thing I've
- 3:01Speaker 4: ever heard. Right, it makes some sense on paper just
- 3:04Speaker 4: sort of talking about it, But.
- 3:06Speaker 3: It also feels like a little bit of a cop
- 3:08Speaker 3: out right for those teams, Like if you're there's so
- 3:10Speaker 3: many ways to manipulate the cap that even if you
- 3:13Speaker 3: have a quarterback at fifty million dollars, you should still
- 3:15Speaker 3: be able to figure out the ways to pay the
- 3:17Speaker 3: other guys on the team.
- 3:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and I can't. That's my gut feeling right now,
- 3:22Speaker 4: is what Evan just said.
- 3:23Speaker 2: And I think for the guys who are quarterbacks, I
- 3:27Speaker 2: think it makes their job a little tougher in terms
- 3:30Speaker 2: of being a leader. You know, it's we already know
- 3:34Speaker 2: that you get paid more than me, but now there's
- 3:36Speaker 2: a special rule that you can really get paid more
- 3:38Speaker 2: than me, so you better be well a good leader
- 3:42Speaker 2: in order to get all the other players to buy.
- 3:44Speaker 4: I think it's it's different, And unless I mistook the
- 3:48Speaker 4: way you said, I think it's a double advantage for
- 3:51Speaker 4: teams with good quarterbacks.
- 3:52Speaker 2: Right, Oh, it is, yeah.
- 3:53Speaker 4: Because I don't necessarily think those quarterbacks are going to
- 3:56Speaker 4: make even more now. I think they're going to get
- 3:58Speaker 4: these forty and fifty million dollar or annual contracts. But now,
- 4:03Speaker 4: like the drawback to that was well, you know, remember
- 4:07Speaker 4: when we used to finger wag. You know, Patrick Mahomes
- 4:10Speaker 4: will never win anything because he's the highest PA. You know,
- 4:13Speaker 4: if you have your quarterback making too much money. But
- 4:16Speaker 4: now you get a double advantage, so you can get
- 4:18Speaker 4: to you have one of the best quarterbacks in football
- 4:20Speaker 4: and you're not affected with your the way that you
- 4:23Speaker 4: can situate the rest of the team.
- 4:25Speaker 2: Right. You can't use the argument supposedly they made to
- 4:28Speaker 2: Brady over the years. You know, take a little less
- 4:32Speaker 2: so we can spend it to make your surrounding.
- 4:35Speaker 4: Because a lot of people still adhere to that antiquated
- 4:38Speaker 4: philosophy that if your quarterback is making x percentage of
- 4:40Speaker 4: the cap, you can't win because it's too hard to
- 4:44Speaker 4: do the rest. Now it's saying, now that's completely eliminated
- 4:48Speaker 4: because that quarterback is separate and you can do whatever
- 4:50Speaker 4: you want with the rest. So I if they do
- 4:53Speaker 4: it like that, I need to see the details detail.
- 4:57Speaker 4: I haven't seen.
- 4:57Speaker 3: This is pretty preliminary discussions about it. But I guess
- 5:01Speaker 3: the best cop is probably in the MLS they have
- 5:03Speaker 3: the designated player for like, if you have like a
- 5:06Speaker 3: Lionel Messi comes over and plays like you know, those
- 5:09Speaker 3: guys don't count the same because then they would take
- 5:12Speaker 3: up the entire salary cap if they did. I think
- 5:15Speaker 3: it's like two guys per team or something like that.
- 5:17Speaker 2: Said a slippery slope though, because okay, today's the quarterback. Well,
- 5:22Speaker 2: if you're gonna do it with the quarterback, you know,
- 5:24Speaker 2: wide receiver. You can't have good offense without a wide receiver.
- 5:28Speaker 2: So you're allowed to have one wide receiver that's exempt,
- 5:31Speaker 2: you know, I don't know, and then well you got
- 5:34Speaker 2: it left tackle, you know, Yeah, I don't know.
- 5:36Speaker 4: I get what you're saying, and I do think that
- 5:39Speaker 4: there's an element of that. I just think that you
- 5:41Speaker 4: should if you have a cap. I think the cap
- 5:45Speaker 4: is sort of fugazy enough to get around. Now you're
- 5:50Speaker 4: looking to not only skirt the rules in terms of
- 5:53Speaker 4: you know, pro rated deals in you know, fake money
- 5:56Speaker 4: and real money and whatever. But now you're just like
- 5:59Speaker 4: blatantly saying, well, we're gonna do all those things, and
- 6:03Speaker 4: we're gonna have one guy that really doesn't count because
- 6:05Speaker 4: we're gonna have a separate quarterback cap for him.
- 6:08Speaker 2: That's how you could make it like for the rest
- 6:10Speaker 2: of the players. You could make the argument to them like, Okay,
- 6:13Speaker 2: so I'm you know, uh goodell, and I'm talking to
- 6:17Speaker 2: the NFL PA. I'm saying, listen, if you allow us
- 6:20Speaker 2: to do this, that's gonna free that's going to allow
- 6:24Speaker 2: teams to spend more in the other positions because the
- 6:27Speaker 2: quarterback won't take such a big chunk, you know, of
- 6:30Speaker 2: the cap. But it still comes down to cash money
- 6:34Speaker 2: that the owners are spending.
- 6:35Speaker 4: Yeah, the players will be okay with it as long
- 6:37Speaker 4: as the amount of dollars available to them doesn't change.
- 6:40Speaker 2: It actually would go up, wouldn't it potentially their position
- 6:44Speaker 2: because you've got the cap number and then this is
- 6:46Speaker 2: excluded from that. So now all that cap number can
- 6:49Speaker 2: be spent.
- 6:49Speaker 4: I need to see how they write how they do it.
- 6:51Speaker 4: But yeah, in theory, you would think it's not gonna
- 6:54Speaker 4: be the same cap number, only the quarterback separate.
- 6:56Speaker 2: It's right, Well, could you know at least maybe half
- 6:59Speaker 2: of it.
- 7:00Speaker 4: As long as that number doesn't change for the players,
- 7:02Speaker 4: they're going to be in favor of you.
- 7:04Speaker 3: But to Paul's point, it does feel like if you
- 7:08Speaker 3: take the quarterback out of it, then you're the Chiefs,
- 7:12Speaker 3: the Bengals, like all the Baltimore like all these teams
- 7:15Speaker 3: at MVB caliber quarterbacks. That's a huge advantage for those teams.
- 7:19Speaker 3: So I just wonder how you're you're able to do that.
- 7:22Speaker 3: And at the end of the day, all of this
- 7:24Speaker 3: is just if the owner is willing to shell out
- 7:27Speaker 3: the money, you can basically spend whatever you want to
- 7:29Speaker 3: spend because you can move it all around to make
- 7:31Speaker 3: the accounting work. Sure, So as long as the owners
- 7:34Speaker 3: are willing to spend the money, that's why teams in
- 7:36Speaker 3: real cash are one hundred million dollars over the salary
- 7:39Speaker 3: cap some years because the owner is willing to pay
- 7:42Speaker 3: for the roster because they're contending for a Super Bowl.
- 7:45Speaker 4: Yeah, and I just I feel like pick one, Okay,
- 7:48Speaker 4: you have a great quarterback, so that's obviously what you
- 7:50Speaker 4: want to be, you know. Like San Francisco they're on
- 7:55Speaker 4: the other side, like they have a guy, you know,
- 7:57Speaker 4: and the Evans and I have talked about brock perty
- 7:59Speaker 4: had not. So you have a guy who's just sort
- 8:01Speaker 4: of system, you know. So they have a hard time
- 8:07Speaker 4: winning at all because they don't have that guy. But
- 8:11Speaker 4: their advantage is they have a lot of money spread
- 8:13Speaker 4: out over the Kittles and the Trent Williams and the
- 8:15Speaker 4: Deebo Samuels and the McCaffrey's to the worlds that they
- 8:17Speaker 4: have a stacked roster. They've chosen to do it a
- 8:20Speaker 4: different way. The sweet spot, right, a rookie quarterback contract,
- 8:23Speaker 4: so you can really bulk up the roster. That's how
- 8:26Speaker 4: San Francisco does it. But now teams can do it
- 8:30Speaker 4: the way San Francisco does, even if they have the
- 8:32Speaker 4: great quarterback. So now what do you do? You know,
- 8:35Speaker 4: how do you compete with the San Francisco's and the
- 8:37Speaker 4: Buffaloes and the Baltimore the rich get rich, you know
- 8:41Speaker 4: if they can spend. You know, Cincinnati they you know,
- 8:44Speaker 4: they have no fear now of losing T Higgins, you know,
- 8:47Speaker 4: in theory, because the whole Borough extension doesn't count. That's separate.
- 8:52Speaker 4: So how do you compete with these teams? You have
- 8:54Speaker 4: to wait for these guys to all cycle out of
- 8:56Speaker 4: the league and do it again.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Go for the knees. That's how you compete. Take the head.
- 9:03Speaker 4: They don't like getting hit.
- 9:04Speaker 2: The knees.
- 9:05Speaker 4: Quarterbacks, they don't like to get hit in them.
- 9:07Speaker 2: So that's that's out there. The other thing is kind
- 9:09Speaker 2: of our topic. And we are in the dog days,
- 9:11Speaker 2: so this, you know, we can talk about anything we want.
- 9:14Speaker 2: Watching the Red Sox last night, By the way, fun team.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Listen, listen, credit where credit is due. I'm being serious.
- 9:20Speaker 4: Take the Brooms out five in a row. Yeah, well,
- 9:24Speaker 4: this isn't a good team, but the Philly and the
- 9:27Speaker 4: Yankees are both. But there were first two wins of
- 9:30Speaker 4: the season.
- 9:31Speaker 2: They're talking about umps and balls and strikes, and it
- 9:34Speaker 2: kind of ties into football because you know, challenges, and
- 9:37Speaker 2: they were saying they're talking about being able to challenge
- 9:40Speaker 2: three call strike a game. I think that's the most
- 9:45Speaker 2: ridiculous thing in the world.
- 9:46Speaker 3: They already I know they do and it works. Yeah,
- 9:50Speaker 3: I don't care.
- 9:51Speaker 2: They have the technology to go robotic, they don't need
- 9:55Speaker 2: the UMP. If you're gonna, if the final arbiter is
- 9:58Speaker 2: going to be this system, then do it for all
- 10:01Speaker 2: of them. And you don't need an UMP. You don't
- 10:04Speaker 2: need you don't need the I'm calling balls and strikes.
- 10:07Speaker 2: If you have the technology, it's it's this is ridiculous.
- 10:10Speaker 2: Then they have the other thing, Well, have them have
- 10:12Speaker 2: the you know, privy to the Pitchcolm, so they know
- 10:15Speaker 2: what pitch is coming. They can kind of be ready
- 10:17Speaker 2: for it. All this technology exists, you don't need the UMP.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Back they're calling balls and strikes instead of getting it right,
- 10:26Speaker 2: you know, three times, get it right every time.
- 10:29Speaker 3: So I'm genuinely curious. Do you feel this way about tennis?
- 10:32Speaker 2: Yes, yes, I know in the majors they have no
- 10:35Speaker 2: more alignment right lines people. Yeah, I love it. It's great,
- 10:40Speaker 2: it's great. I mean, do you realize how many times
- 10:46Speaker 2: before linesmen, I mean, before this electronic system, that there
- 10:50Speaker 2: were arguments during the game, and how many times the
- 10:53Speaker 2: player was probably right if you have the technology to
- 10:57Speaker 2: avoid that, just do it. Just do it. No one's
- 11:00Speaker 2: complaining now in tennis about no lines.
- 11:03Speaker 4: No, that's that's absolutely true. We've talked about this a
- 11:06Speaker 4: lot that the line's been guild.
- 11:08Speaker 2: Yeah, no one. I haven't heard one complaint. The complaint
- 11:13Speaker 2: I hear is why don't the lower levels and I
- 11:15Speaker 2: don't want to get into the minutia the two fifties
- 11:18Speaker 2: and all that, why don't they have it? Like the
- 11:20Speaker 2: French Open didn't have it this year, but I heard
- 11:22Speaker 2: next year they will. They're going to adopt it. I'm
- 11:24Speaker 2: sure it costs a lot more money.
- 11:26Speaker 3: To play though, right, so you can you can see
- 11:28Speaker 3: that it's.
- 11:28Speaker 2: It's a little tougher on clay because the dirt gets
- 11:30Speaker 2: all around and the chalk's everywhere. But it doesn't matter
- 11:34Speaker 2: what the line, the physical line you see it's it's
- 11:37Speaker 2: a laser. It doesn't matter what the how the line moves. Well,
- 11:41Speaker 2: so the one question doesn't matter, you know what I mean,
- 11:43Speaker 2: Like if the line gets messy, it doesn't matter.
- 11:45Speaker 4: It's still going to read lectronically.
- 11:47Speaker 3: Right, So my question with the robot umpires and so
- 11:49Speaker 3: I've seen it in the miners and it's within seconds
- 11:53Speaker 3: that they can tell you if it was a ball
- 11:54Speaker 3: or strike. So it's not like it's going to prolong
- 11:56Speaker 3: the game. No, So that's good. But with the robot,
- 11:59Speaker 3: I'm pires every batter is a different height, right, so
- 12:03Speaker 3: it's gotta be.
- 12:04Speaker 2: No before the season, Evan Lazar gets measured because you know,
- 12:09Speaker 2: squat down, so when Evan Lazar gets up, the system
- 12:13Speaker 2: knows it's him and it adjusts to your measurement.
- 12:16Speaker 3: So might have to hut like Aaron judges, you know.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Strike strike zone.
- 12:21Speaker 4: And that's my issue with the robot umpires because you know,
- 12:25Speaker 4: we've been watching games on Nessen for a long time
- 12:27Speaker 4: now with the pitch zone, as Jerry Remy used to
- 12:31Speaker 4: call it, the A Meeker, Yeah, pitch zone. I don't
- 12:36Speaker 4: think every ball that hits that that rectangle is a strike. Well,
- 12:41Speaker 4: but that's what it will be if you have robot umpires.
- 12:44Speaker 2: Well they have that, you know, you see it like
- 12:46Speaker 2: with the you said, you know the square and it
- 12:49Speaker 2: touches it. But then they have that other three D
- 12:51Speaker 2: model that you see, that's the one you go by.
- 12:53Speaker 4: But what I'm saying is in my view and this
- 12:56Speaker 4: is just me, like people absolutely you know people, you know,
- 13:01Speaker 4: smart people can disagree about the same thing. I don't
- 13:04Speaker 4: think that like a pitch that's here and a pitch
- 13:07Speaker 4: that's here to the same batter as a strike. But
- 13:11Speaker 4: the rope, like the three D thing, like, I just
- 13:14Speaker 4: know they have to. I just think that's an.
- 13:16Speaker 2: Awful lot of plate to Like they've talked about if
- 13:19Speaker 2: they do the robo, they'll have to make the strike
- 13:23Speaker 2: zone a little smaller. But I say, you have the
- 13:26Speaker 2: technology to have custom strike zones for every player before
- 13:31Speaker 2: the season. When you get your head shot, you know,
- 13:34Speaker 2: before the season media day, you also get measured for
- 13:38Speaker 2: your strike zone.
- 13:38Speaker 4: So I also think the pitchers will pitch to that,
- 13:41Speaker 4: like if you know, like I don't have to rely
- 13:43Speaker 4: on the guy giving me the corner. All I gotta
- 13:45Speaker 4: do is touch that spot. It's going to get picked.
- 13:48Speaker 4: You might have to why would you ever throw a
- 13:49Speaker 4: ball anywhere near the place?
- 13:51Speaker 2: You might have to make it the complete strike zone
- 13:53Speaker 2: a little smaller overall, because like you said, it's some.
- 13:57Speaker 4: Of it's big, like the Amika pitch zone and all. Yeah,
- 14:00Speaker 4: making a joke, it's a big strike.
- 14:01Speaker 3: Yeah, they say that, especially at the top of the
- 14:04Speaker 3: strikes out is going to be the biggest that's going
- 14:06Speaker 3: to be the one because especially nowadays, these guys that
- 14:09Speaker 3: throw ninety eight like consistently can just go out there
- 14:12Speaker 3: and throw that hard.
- 14:13Speaker 2: It's yeah, I can't touch it up.
- 14:15Speaker 4: Where do you fall on just the technology in general?
- 14:18Speaker 4: Do you want more of it or less?
- 14:19Speaker 2: I say, I say wherever it can be accurate.
- 14:24Speaker 4: Like I think in tennis, it makes all the sense
- 14:27Speaker 4: in the world for the reasons.
- 14:28Speaker 2: You just let's go back to football. They said, you know,
- 14:31Speaker 2: for spotting the ball, you know that's coming. That's one
- 14:35Speaker 2: where like I can see where I know there's a
- 14:38Speaker 2: chip in the ball, but the chip has to be
- 14:41Speaker 2: talking to something with all the humanity, how are you
- 14:45Speaker 2: going to be.
- 14:46Speaker 4: The ball isn't a laser issue. Spotting the ball is
- 14:49Speaker 4: where did the referee deem his progress stopped or his
- 14:52Speaker 4: knee down?
- 14:53Speaker 2: That's that was the ball, you know.
- 14:55Speaker 4: You know, like we'll go back to Evan because he's
- 14:57Speaker 4: the all around athletes like Jim Thorpe today whenever is
- 15:00Speaker 4: carrying the ball and he gets tackled and his knees
- 15:02Speaker 4: go down and then he falls forward like this, Well
- 15:05Speaker 4: he's way down back here. The laser's going to read
- 15:07Speaker 4: it up wherever the ball is. Yeah, so how like,
- 15:10Speaker 4: I don't think that solves the because I do think
- 15:12Speaker 4: spotting the ball in the NFL is a low key,
- 15:15Speaker 4: humongous problem. Well they do never like you watch replaces
- 15:19Speaker 4: and they can never get it.
- 15:20Speaker 2: Well, what's gonna see? There has to be something manual
- 15:23Speaker 2: because like you said, Paul, it has to be where
- 15:26Speaker 2: the progress stopped. So at the split second where progress starts,
- 15:30Speaker 2: somebody has to hit a button and wherever the ball
- 15:32Speaker 2: was at that time, that's where it gets spotted.
- 15:35Speaker 4: But who's doing that, that's the question. I don't know, right,
- 15:38Speaker 4: I would assume that's hard.
- 15:40Speaker 3: They're somehow going to tie it to the whistle of
- 15:42Speaker 3: the ref, right, like, that's I think, But.
- 15:44Speaker 2: The whistle from the ref like happens seconds afterwards, and
- 15:47Speaker 2: then the ball's moved since that time. Yeah, that's to me,
- 15:51Speaker 2: that's a tough one. Baseball is easy, Tennis is easy.
- 15:54Speaker 2: To me, the football one is a tough one.
- 15:56Speaker 4: I agree.
- 15:57Speaker 3: I think that's why we haven't had it so far. Yeah,
- 15:59Speaker 3: but that the chain gang is going away, like they
- 16:02Speaker 3: have technology that they claim now that I.
- 16:04Speaker 4: Think you can you can do away with you don't
- 16:06Speaker 4: have to have a chain. And you know, if you know.
- 16:08Speaker 2: There's a lot of seven one year old guys are
- 16:10Speaker 2: gonna be upset.
- 16:11Speaker 4: But if there's one of them that's that's kinked in
- 16:12Speaker 4: the wrong way, and all of a sudden that you
- 16:15Speaker 4: have the technology to make it exactly ten yards with
- 16:17Speaker 4: a laser, right, do it?
- 16:19Speaker 3: Yeah?
- 16:19Speaker 4: I just don't think the spotting of the ball thing
- 16:21Speaker 4: just magically goes away with technology.
- 16:24Speaker 3: I also wonder with robot umpires, they would still have
- 16:26Speaker 3: to have a game management umpire, right, like there's.
- 16:31Speaker 2: Still have something fight breaks out, you got to or.
- 16:35Speaker 3: Like you know, mound visits, like you know that they
- 16:38Speaker 3: still have to have somebody that's making sure the game
- 16:40Speaker 3: is moving.
- 16:41Speaker 4: Yeah, Like, are we gonna like just put everything over
- 16:44Speaker 4: to technology like fair or Fouel you know, safer all.
- 16:47Speaker 2: I think anything that can be done accurately, you know
- 16:52Speaker 2: ninety nine point nine percent of the time, why not?
- 16:55Speaker 2: Why not? You know, at the end of the day,
- 16:57Speaker 2: when you do a review, you're relying on the technology.
- 17:01Speaker 2: So you're saying that the technology is the final arbiter,
- 17:04Speaker 2: So then use it all the time anyway? Yeah, you know, like.
- 17:09Speaker 4: Let's just I go the other way.
- 17:11Speaker 2: But you don't want any of us just call your
- 17:13Speaker 2: own foul.
- 17:14Speaker 4: I just have seen too many examples where they, you know, quote,
- 17:18Speaker 4: just want to get it right and they don't. Yeah,
- 17:20Speaker 4: so why have it? I would rather have it not
- 17:23Speaker 4: feel like I got screwed by someone's you know, yeah,
- 17:28Speaker 4: stubbornness to overturn a call.
- 17:30Speaker 2: Yeah, I would rather.
- 17:31Speaker 4: You know, it just took place. It was on the field,
- 17:33Speaker 4: and humans are playing, humans are officiating, and but we
- 17:36Speaker 4: missed a call. What are you gonna do? I'm gonna
- 17:37Speaker 4: be mad.
- 17:38Speaker 2: But with balls and strikes, there's nothing to review. It
- 17:41Speaker 2: is what it's like in tennis. There's no human again.
- 17:44Speaker 4: Yeah, if you're operating under everything here as a strike, right,
- 17:48Speaker 4: I don't think that's not It has to.
- 17:50Speaker 2: Be customed to the player because they tell you that
- 17:53Speaker 2: the strike is used to be from the knees to
- 17:55Speaker 2: the to the chest or the armpits. Yeah, you know,
- 17:58Speaker 2: well my when I still end up, my arm pits
- 18:00Speaker 2: are a lot lower than Rarren judges. So it has
- 18:03Speaker 2: to be a custom strike zone for every player.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I don't have a problem really with
- 18:08Speaker 4: balls and strikes, but I do I do. No, No,
- 18:11Speaker 4: I'm saying that if you wanted to go to robowo
- 18:13Speaker 4: yeah yea yeah, yeah, no, I think that. I think
- 18:15Speaker 4: the un struggle although Angel Hernandez retired, so it's a
- 18:17Speaker 4: little better.
- 18:18Speaker 2: I can't.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 18:19Speaker 2: Yeah, and the timing of that was very, very curiable. Yeah,
- 18:23Speaker 2: but no, I get I get really frustrated.
- 18:25Speaker 4: Watching the game.
- 18:26Speaker 2: Ya.
- 18:26Speaker 4: No, I agree, no pitch problem just.
- 18:28Speaker 2: Ended the inning and it should be over.
- 18:30Speaker 4: And fred Uda loved watching me pitch. Yeah, but I
- 18:35Speaker 4: just care seven runs because you missed that call. Eight batters.
- 18:39Speaker 3: Sneaky fun team.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Yeah, it really is h I like again, I'll say
- 18:43Speaker 4: it again twice in twenty minutes. Yeah, fair is fair.
- 18:48Speaker 4: So you beat the Phillies and you beat the Yankees.
- 18:50Speaker 4: I said you hadn't beaten anybody of any value. Those
- 18:53Speaker 4: are two of the best teams in baseball.
- 18:55Speaker 2: So to be realistic, is it? Is it sustainable? No?
- 18:58Speaker 2: And if you get up to that line, are the
- 19:01Speaker 2: owners going to say we're good?
- 19:03Speaker 4: I think you can part. I think even if they
- 19:05Speaker 4: sustained it to the deadline, they won't spend on it.
- 19:08Speaker 2: That's the problem.
- 19:08Speaker 4: Which will the same thing will happen as has happened
- 19:11Speaker 4: the last couple of years. See, that's the thing that
- 19:13Speaker 4: people aren't really considering is they're playing like they've played
- 19:15Speaker 4: the last two years. They win three in a row,
- 19:18Speaker 4: they lose five. They you know, they they're plus or
- 19:21Speaker 4: minus five and this five hundred. Now right now they're
- 19:24Speaker 4: in a I think they've won eight out of ten
- 19:25Speaker 4: or something like that. They're in a hot streak right now.
- 19:27Speaker 4: They're playing very well. They're running all over the place.
- 19:30Speaker 4: I just don't think like David Hamilton's a good major
- 19:33Speaker 4: League baseball player. All of a sudden, he's getting three
- 19:35Speaker 4: hits and four steels every game. I don't think that's sustainable.
- 19:38Speaker 3: The pitching sustainable. The pitching staff is pretty has been
- 19:41Speaker 3: pretty good.
- 19:42Speaker 4: They've been really good. I don't think that that's sustainable either.
- 19:45Speaker 3: Well, I don't know if the whole staff is going
- 19:47Speaker 3: to throw this well.
- 19:48Speaker 4: But how Tanner I think Tanner Howk has turned to
- 19:51Speaker 4: I think Tannerhik is absolutely taken a corner.
- 19:53Speaker 3: Yeah, Tanner, Hawk and Bayo are good Kens so sure,
- 19:56Speaker 3: Bo Bayl Kenley's been really good out of the bullpen.
- 20:00Speaker 4: I worry about him though, Well, he's gonna go he's
- 20:02Speaker 4: probably he's gonna get traded in probably like three weeks.
- 20:05Speaker 3: The problem with baseball is that, and I'm making fun
- 20:08Speaker 3: of my own people, but the nerds have those projections,
- 20:13Speaker 3: that win loss projections, and the nerds are gonna be
- 20:16Speaker 3: on Paul side of things where they're gonna say it's
- 20:17Speaker 3: not sustainable because we projected at the beginning of the
- 20:19Speaker 3: season we're an eighty win baseball team. So at some
- 20:22Speaker 3: point we're gonna come back down to first and we're
- 20:24Speaker 3: gonna get back to eighty wins. So the nerds are
- 20:27Speaker 3: gonna tell that John Henry, don't buy it the deadline
- 20:31Speaker 3: because this isn't sustainable.
- 20:33Speaker 4: And that would bother me, Like I can be as
- 20:35Speaker 4: stubborn as anybody as you know, as you know, if
- 20:38Speaker 4: they play like this for another couple of weeks, I
- 20:40Speaker 4: would absolutely be looking to add to this team and say, hey,
- 20:43Speaker 4: we can get in. Right now, they're one game out,
- 20:46Speaker 4: you know, we can get into the you know, I
- 20:47Speaker 4: don't really care. I mean, I think it's embarrassing if
- 20:50Speaker 4: you don't make the playoffs in Major League Baseball at
- 20:51Speaker 4: this point. But if they're in contention and they're they're
- 20:56Speaker 4: continuing to play for like three weeks playing close to
- 21:01Speaker 4: six hundred you know, five to fifty six hundred ball.
- 21:03Speaker 4: They should be adding and that would frustrate me if
- 21:05Speaker 4: they don't. So even though I think that they will regress,
- 21:08Speaker 4: you know, it's some I think that's just been the
- 21:10Speaker 4: pattern that they've had for three years.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Agree.
- 21:12Speaker 4: You know, they're gonna win a few, They're gonna lose
- 21:14Speaker 4: a few, They're gonna win some good, you know. I
- 21:16Speaker 4: mean this is like a week and a half ago,
- 21:18Speaker 4: they split a four game series with Chicago, right, Who's
- 21:21Speaker 4: the worst team in like on paper, the worst team
- 21:24Speaker 4: in history of baseball. Yeah, so you know they turned
- 21:28Speaker 4: you know, to their credit, they sort of licked their
- 21:31Speaker 4: wounds from that, and they responded that the Phillies and
- 21:35Speaker 4: Yankee series. I'll admit flat out I didn't I didn't
- 21:38Speaker 4: see that coming.
- 21:38Speaker 3: So wild card teams have gotten hot the last couple
- 21:40Speaker 3: of years in the playoffs. Yeah, that's why I.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Said, if you get in, if you get in, you
- 21:45Speaker 4: get in. Absolutely Yeah, Diamonbacks went to the World Series
- 21:48Speaker 4: last year.
- 21:49Speaker 2: So it again, we're touching on all and I see
- 21:53Speaker 2: the emails coming in all different topics.
- 21:55Speaker 4: So this would be a good to ask me what
- 21:57Speaker 4: I really think is going to happen. I'm going to
- 21:59Speaker 4: say that, like Texas in Houston is one of those
- 22:01Speaker 4: two will get their heads out of their asses and
- 22:03Speaker 4: start playing well.
- 22:04Speaker 2: So it should be a good show with all the
- 22:05Speaker 2: various topics that are coming on. But Celtics, do you
- 22:08Speaker 2: have a problem with them going to Miami to have
- 22:10Speaker 2: a party now?
- 22:12Speaker 4: Like that?
- 22:12Speaker 2: That seemed to be a big topic, like why can't
- 22:14Speaker 2: they do it in Boston?
- 22:15Speaker 4: I need to know more information, Yeah, Like because I
- 22:17Speaker 4: know that they they probably wanted to have the parade yesterday,
- 22:22Speaker 4: but that's the Juneteenth Holiday, so I'm sure that they said.
- 22:26Speaker 3: Again one hundred degrees, we can't.
- 22:28Speaker 2: But they didn't know that at the time, right, So
- 22:30Speaker 2: but my guess is.
- 22:33Speaker 4: That's a big ask for the whole team to stay
- 22:35Speaker 4: in town for the whole week to get to Friday
- 22:37Speaker 4: to Evans Point. Because today is also ninety eight degrees,
- 22:41Speaker 4: it's supposed to be a little bit more comfortable tomorrow.
- 22:44Speaker 4: So I think they wanted to wait till Friday. And
- 22:46Speaker 4: I wonder if they said, you know, how about if
- 22:49Speaker 4: we put you on a plane to send you guys
- 22:50Speaker 4: down to South beach for a night, you know, and
- 22:53Speaker 4: you guys come back up, stay for the parade, as
- 22:55Speaker 4: opposed to you know, why don't you guys sit tight
- 22:58Speaker 4: for the whole week. I will have the parade on Friday.
- 23:01Speaker 4: I wonder if they would throwing over I.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Think, I think, like I don't know if like, if
- 23:05Speaker 2: there's a certain Celtic that has an investment in some
- 23:08Speaker 2: a club down that could be to that, maybe they
- 23:10Speaker 2: went down, you know. I also, you know, I heard
- 23:16Speaker 2: the argument where well, you can't do that in Boston
- 23:19Speaker 2: because wherever they go, they're going to be swamped. If
- 23:21Speaker 2: you go to Miami, you just another bunch of guys
- 23:23Speaker 2: in a club, you know, because everybody's down there is
- 23:26Speaker 2: a celebrity.
- 23:27Speaker 4: But yeah, I don't either because I think you go
- 23:30Speaker 4: wherever they're going to go, they're gonna go to a
- 23:31Speaker 4: private a y.
- 23:33Speaker 3: I just I well, first of all, just off the top,
- 23:36Speaker 3: they just won the city a championship. Go party wherever
- 23:38Speaker 3: the heck you want to. But second of all, you know,
- 23:41Speaker 3: there's whether we like it or not, in the NBA,
- 23:44Speaker 3: there's three or four places that the players just love going.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Oh yeah, Miami, Atlanta, Los Angeles, obviously, and anytime they
- 23:54Speaker 3: get an excuse to go to Vegas, right, like in
- 23:56Speaker 3: any of those places are just because there's.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Stuff to do. I mean, yeah, let's face it, these
- 24:01Speaker 2: guys aren't baseball players or hockey players. They walk into
- 24:05Speaker 2: a room, oh my god. You know, they get noticed,
- 24:09Speaker 2: and so it's tougher for them, you know, to blend in.
- 24:12Speaker 4: I just think it's just private, right. I think Evan's
- 24:14Speaker 4: got it. I mean, this is where they want to party. Yeah,
- 24:16Speaker 4: they're standing out in Miami to they.
- 24:19Speaker 2: Just they just but those places cater the celebrities better.
- 24:22Speaker 2: They're not to handle celebrities.
- 24:25Speaker 4: They wore they know how to handle celebrities. Oh yeah,
- 24:27Speaker 4: that's what that's what they.
- 24:31Speaker 2: Name because that's the only place to go.
- 24:33Speaker 3: Not that I stopped them, you know, yeah, no, I
- 24:36Speaker 3: I I understand why some people would be put off
- 24:40Speaker 3: by them going down to Miami, but they just want
- 24:43Speaker 3: a champions.
- 24:43Speaker 2: People like we're a little sensitive. Well, bosses are good
- 24:46Speaker 2: enough for you, I find in this department.
- 24:50Speaker 4: So I don't get I don't know. I don't know
- 24:51Speaker 4: why as a fan you'd be offended and they went
- 24:53Speaker 4: to Miami. I don't get it, you know, me I
- 24:56Speaker 4: can find fault of anything if you if you challenge
- 24:59Speaker 4: me enough.
- 25:00Speaker 2: Like if you put him on a boat and sent
- 25:01Speaker 2: them to the Caribbean, Like I don't think people would.
- 25:04Speaker 2: It's like another town in the United States. You know
- 25:07Speaker 2: one of our you know they're in the the same division.
- 25:11Speaker 2: We're going to go to their place.
- 25:13Speaker 3: Well, they Joe Missoula was in the North End last night.
- 25:16Speaker 3: I walking around the trop I was this close to
- 25:20Speaker 3: getting in my car.
- 25:21Speaker 2: We're about five minutes from the North Well those pictures,
- 25:23Speaker 2: I was looking for you in the back ronder. I
- 25:25Speaker 2: even looked in the reflection of the trophy if you
- 25:28Speaker 2: were there.
- 25:28Speaker 3: I was very close. But that that was cool. You
- 25:32Speaker 3: know those are always cool moments you.
- 25:34Speaker 4: Are going to the parades.
- 25:36Speaker 2: Definitely. Do you think that's in or out of character
- 25:37Speaker 2: for Joe Missoula to do what he did?
- 25:39Speaker 3: Out of character a little bit, yeah, But I think
- 25:42Speaker 3: he's a whole different person now. You can tell, like
- 25:44Speaker 3: he's done a bunch of podcasts since then they've listened to.
- 25:47Speaker 3: It's not with the part of my take, guys, which
- 25:48Speaker 3: he was before they won the championship too, But he's
- 25:52Speaker 3: he's a made man now. And you can you can
- 25:54Speaker 3: tell that he's that he's acting that way. But those
- 25:56Speaker 3: moments when that's so cool, like you're out to dinner
- 25:59Speaker 3: in the North Them with your family and all of
- 26:01Speaker 3: a sudden, Joe Miszula walks by with Larry O'Brien trophy,
- 26:04Speaker 3: Like that's that's that's what makes the city different, I
- 26:06Speaker 3: feel like than some of the other places.
- 26:09Speaker 2: Eight five five pass five hundred is the aceticket hotline.
- 26:11Speaker 2: Web radio at Patriots dot com is the email address.
- 26:16Speaker 2: Like I said, everything's on the table today. It's the
- 26:19Speaker 2: dog days of the NFL. All the players and coaches
- 26:23Speaker 2: are off doing their own thing, although I think rookies
- 26:26Speaker 2: are here. There's still that's what Drake May said at
- 26:29Speaker 2: the end of mini campaign. Would be here for another
- 26:31Speaker 2: couple of weeks, but you know it's it's it's a
- 26:33Speaker 2: time for everybody to re energize, you know, fill the
- 26:37Speaker 2: tank up again. So you know, during this time on
- 26:40Speaker 2: this show, we've always talked about some of the best
- 26:43Speaker 2: topics have come during.
- 26:44Speaker 4: Every time anything, anything's on the table.
- 26:46Speaker 2: So web radio at Patris dot com made five five
- 26:49Speaker 2: past a sticket hotline. Let's get right into what some
- 26:53Speaker 2: of the we got to get some food though, Paul.
- 26:55Speaker 4: Did you not order?
- 26:56Speaker 2: No?
- 26:57Speaker 4: No, did you well? I just you told me to.
- 27:01Speaker 2: I sent me or what did you get me?
- 27:04Speaker 5: Chicken fingers, honey mustard?
- 27:05Speaker 2: Great? Thank you and you're coming in loud and clear.
- 27:07Speaker 4: By the way, little some tender's I got some tenders too.
- 27:09Speaker 2: Okay, good, okod, Lindsey writes in Medium Time Listeners started
- 27:14Speaker 2: summer twenty twenty first time emailer ding Ding. Given it's
- 27:18Speaker 2: now the off season, figures time we revisit the topic
- 27:21Speaker 2: of laundry machines. Do you know what this topic is
- 27:24Speaker 2: all about? But we're gonna find out. We just bought
- 27:27Speaker 2: our first house and are looking at laundry units. As
- 27:30Speaker 2: I keep reading consumer reports and other analysis, the brand
- 27:34Speaker 2: Speed Queen comes up.
- 27:37Speaker 3: I do remember this.
- 27:39Speaker 2: It's being mentioned as an expensive but trustworthy model, not
- 27:42Speaker 2: that expensive. In my head when I read these, all
- 27:46Speaker 2: I can hear is Fred admitting they were a little
- 27:48Speaker 2: tough on the clothes, but there they last forever. And
- 27:51Speaker 2: can't help but laugh to myself. Will this use of
- 27:54Speaker 2: myself piss off the grammar? Police guy? Grammar was never
- 27:57Speaker 2: my strong suit. Hope. The email sparks a renewed laundry
- 28:00Speaker 2: machine debate this offseason. Thanks again for the great coverage.
- 28:03Speaker 2: These shows get me through my Greater Boston commutes. Fred
- 28:06Speaker 2: in the off season instead of canceling Wednesday shows, maybe
- 28:09Speaker 2: they become deucing the kids shows. Oh anyway, Yeah, Speed
- 28:15Speaker 2: Queen is uh. I got turned onto those years ago.
- 28:18Speaker 2: I went into this small appliance store in Foxburg, actually
- 28:21Speaker 2: because I was in the market for a washer and dryer,
- 28:24Speaker 2: and they had, you know, the LG and the Samsung
- 28:27Speaker 2: and I was looking at those and he's like, have
- 28:29Speaker 2: you looked at the Speed Queen And I had never
- 28:30Speaker 2: heard of it.
- 28:31Speaker 4: And I have to admit I had never heard of
- 28:34Speaker 4: Speak Queen until you said it. Now, I like the emailer.
- 28:36Speaker 4: I see it all the time.
- 28:37Speaker 2: You know. Maybe now they have more fancy models, but usually,
- 28:41Speaker 2: you know, back then it was you know, normal settings
- 28:45Speaker 2: made in USA steel drum instead of the plastic. And
- 28:49Speaker 2: he said they'll last forever. And I've been hooked ever
- 28:51Speaker 2: since Speed Queen. So when you go into the laundry match,
- 28:55Speaker 2: they use Speed Queen because that's yeah.
- 28:58Speaker 4: And that's why I don't because that's what it's made for.
- 29:00Speaker 4: It's like industrial.
- 29:02Speaker 7: Yeah, there's some crazy ones. That's because they're they're Yeah,
- 29:09Speaker 7: they have ones that are like it's one machine now,
- 29:12Speaker 7: oh yeah, you know it drains itself and it's switches
- 29:15Speaker 7: or the ones that are connected that the clothes can
- 29:17Speaker 7: just fall from the washer.
- 29:19Speaker 4: On top of the haven't seen that, yeah, yeah.
- 29:21Speaker 2: So the stack model for apartment dwellers.
- 29:23Speaker 3: Correct.
- 29:24Speaker 4: I've seen a lot of the stack models, but I
- 29:26Speaker 4: have never seen one that it actually falls out of.
- 29:28Speaker 2: That's interesting. And I've seen the one where it's one
- 29:31Speaker 2: unit it washes and dries in the same yes.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Yeah, but some of the eco ones, you know, some
- 29:36Speaker 3: of these new apartment buildings in the city have these
- 29:39Speaker 3: like eco friendly ones and they take a long time,
- 29:42Speaker 3: you know, because it's not it's not as much energy. Yeah,
- 29:47Speaker 3: so the dry clothes in one of those things can take.
- 29:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 29:53Speaker 3: I don't get it either.
- 29:54Speaker 2: Anyway, I would I would suggest if you're looking, do
- 29:58Speaker 2: look at the speed queen. The whole expensive thing is
- 30:02Speaker 2: that was kind of the argument that I bought is
- 30:04Speaker 2: it wasn't as expensive.
- 30:06Speaker 4: Yeah, but your version of not expensive and the email
- 30:09Speaker 4: or in version.
- 30:10Speaker 2: No, I'm comparing it entirely, comparing it to the LG's
- 30:13Speaker 2: and the Samsung. Now, admittedly mine doesn't have all the
- 30:17Speaker 2: bells and whistles that you would get with those, but
- 30:19Speaker 2: it's just my wife and I and when my son
- 30:22Speaker 2: comes down, he brings his laundry. But you know, so
- 30:24Speaker 2: we're not it's not a big family. And I would say,
- 30:26Speaker 2: if you have a big family and you need all
- 30:28Speaker 2: those bells and whistles, you might want to look at
- 30:30Speaker 2: not Samsung, I mean speed Queen, but now they probably
- 30:34Speaker 2: have models that have it.
- 30:36Speaker 4: What do you have in terms of, like, you know,
- 30:39Speaker 4: your yard equipment now, because I know you have that
- 30:41Speaker 4: man's down on Cape? Yeah, do you have do you
- 30:44Speaker 4: have a ride on more?
- 30:45Speaker 2: No?
- 30:45Speaker 4: So you just have you have a regular push mower
- 30:47Speaker 4: or do you get.
- 30:47Speaker 2: I have a self propelled mower, but it sucks. I
- 30:51Speaker 2: got it from Lows. Is it gas or is it okay?
- 30:54Speaker 2: So I just bought a new one this year. And
- 30:58Speaker 2: you know, I was kind of looking at some of
- 30:59Speaker 2: the the electric ones. Yeah, you know, because I don't
- 31:03Speaker 2: have a huge yard, but you know, it takes some
- 31:06Speaker 2: time or whatever. And I'm looking at and he's like,
- 31:09Speaker 2: when you cut your grass, like roughly, how long's it take?
- 31:12Speaker 4: I said, I don't know. Like forty five minutes. I
- 31:16Speaker 4: can't in good conscience sell you one of these.
- 31:18Speaker 2: Really, the battery doesn't last They.
- 31:19Speaker 4: Claim it's an hour. He goes, it's not an hour.
- 31:21Speaker 4: It won't last an hour. Wow, he goes. And I
- 31:24Speaker 4: can't in good conscience sell you.
- 31:25Speaker 2: Now.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Now I'm opening the door because you know what's going
- 31:28Speaker 4: to happen. Now we will be inundated, much like the
- 31:32Speaker 4: seventeen people that had to tell me that that wasn't
- 31:34Speaker 4: a travel the other day, right, And I warned you,
- 31:39Speaker 4: I said, if you do this, we're gonna get killed.
- 31:41Speaker 4: You And I love that.
- 31:42Speaker 2: I've watched it. It's it's a travel.
- 31:44Speaker 4: You don't care, which is I applaud. I'm just looking
- 31:47Speaker 4: at us like I knew this was going to happen.
- 31:50Speaker 4: I knew I had like eighteen people tell me why
- 31:52Speaker 4: that wasn't a travel And I go back and I
- 31:54Speaker 4: look at the rule book and I'm like, it's the
- 31:56Speaker 4: definition of a travel. It says it right there. They
- 31:59Speaker 4: have not changed It's not like the NFL where they
- 32:01Speaker 4: put out the rule book and then they the amendments
- 32:04Speaker 4: to the rules every year. They didn't. They've never changed it.
- 32:07Speaker 4: They just decided and I actually think, believe it or not,
- 32:11Speaker 4: that it was a positive step. No. Pun intended to
- 32:15Speaker 4: be a little bit more lenient with that showcase the athleticism,
- 32:18Speaker 4: what the players play.
- 32:19Speaker 2: I don't think it's a good thing, that's true.
- 32:22Speaker 4: But I don't think that it's a good thing to
- 32:25Speaker 4: let guys just run. Like I told you that, it's
- 32:29Speaker 4: the whole. Like you do one or the other. You
- 32:31Speaker 4: take two steps and come to a jump stop and
- 32:33Speaker 4: then do something. But you can't take two steps, come
- 32:36Speaker 4: to a jump stop and then step through and lay
- 32:38Speaker 4: it in and that's legal. They I've seen it nine
- 32:42Speaker 4: thousand times this year and I haven't seen it called
- 32:44Speaker 4: traveling once, So clearly Evan's right, that's the way they
- 32:46Speaker 4: call it now. But this is why I want you,
- 32:50Speaker 4: This is why I want you to do not do this,
- 32:52Speaker 4: because the green teamers will kill you.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Back to the lawnmowers, back to la. If you're looking
- 32:57Speaker 2: for a push or a self propeller push, well, Touro
- 33:01Speaker 2: is probably the best now. But if you can get
- 33:03Speaker 2: your hands in on a twenty twenty three Honda, they'll
- 33:06Speaker 2: last forever. They're good. But I think Honda is going
- 33:09Speaker 2: to stop making one moment.
- 33:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I gotta, I gotta. I have a Toro and
- 33:13Speaker 4: I've had a Honda and they're both outstanding. Yeah, what
- 33:16Speaker 4: are we gonna get my last one? Last like twelve years?
- 33:18Speaker 3: Is Tesla going to make like a fully electric one
- 33:21Speaker 3: at some point?
- 33:21Speaker 4: Like are we going to get in the oh with
- 33:23Speaker 4: having to touch it?
- 33:24Speaker 3: Yeah? Like a Prius?
- 33:26Speaker 2: You know.
- 33:26Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, they do have battery ones, you know, like
- 33:29Speaker 4: you know, just like your car, you know, you charge
- 33:31Speaker 4: the battery, but like I said, it doesn't I don't know.
- 33:33Speaker 4: I don't know that they have to.
- 33:36Speaker 2: They have the ones that you know, you set up
- 33:38Speaker 2: your zone right like a room. None of them really
- 33:40Speaker 2: get good reviews. Yeah, you know they're this spotty.
- 33:43Speaker 3: I don't think we had a room, but the dog's
- 33:46Speaker 3: afraid of it, so we don't use it. But it's
- 33:48Speaker 3: I don't know it was.
- 33:49Speaker 2: I think one of the best things a man can
- 33:51Speaker 2: do is moso. Want, you know, because I'm kind of
- 33:55Speaker 2: will First of all, it's your property, so you know,
- 34:00Speaker 2: it's your kingdom. And then when you mow the lawn,
- 34:02Speaker 2: there's that satisfaction when you're done.
- 34:04Speaker 4: You look old, you're drinking the beer and you're looking
- 34:06Speaker 4: at the lot.
- 34:06Speaker 2: Good, it looks good, and this is mine and I
- 34:10Speaker 2: just did that. I think there's a satisfaction to that.
- 34:12Speaker 3: Like putting together Ika furniture.
- 34:14Speaker 2: Well, I don't know if I'd go that, but I think,
- 34:20Speaker 2: you know, like I think, I think lawn work, yard
- 34:24Speaker 2: work is important to being man. You look, home ownership
- 34:30Speaker 2: is something we all try to be. You know, there's
- 34:32Speaker 2: a lot of people that you know, young people who
- 34:35Speaker 2: are trying to own their first home. I think that's
- 34:37Speaker 2: a big deal. And once you own that home, taking
- 34:40Speaker 2: care of it I think is part of part of manhood.
- 34:44Speaker 4: And there is a pride in making sure that everything
- 34:47Speaker 4: looks as good as it can inside and out.
- 34:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 34:50Speaker 3: I had this conversation with my parents on Father's Day.
- 34:52Speaker 3: They where, you know, home to purchase a home in
- 34:55Speaker 3: the Boston area right now for us is pretty outrageousous,
- 35:00Speaker 3: and uh, you know, my mom was like, well, it's
- 35:02Speaker 3: good for us because you know, everybody sixty plus is
- 35:05Speaker 3: selling their houses for.
- 35:07Speaker 2: You've got a huge return on investment. I guess if
- 35:09Speaker 2: you downsize, yeah.
- 35:10Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, but it's tough out there in the street.
- 35:14Speaker 2: I spent the day yesterday and a lad of reglazing windows.
- 35:18Speaker 2: So I love that. Yeah, you know, and when I'm done,
- 35:21Speaker 2: I feel like, okay, I did that, you know, sense
- 35:23Speaker 2: of accomplishment.
- 35:25Speaker 3: You know, you don't feel that way about about putting
- 35:27Speaker 3: together furniture or.
- 35:28Speaker 2: Like ikiya, yeah I've done all that, but it's not
- 35:33Speaker 2: the same as you know your property.
- 35:36Speaker 6: Yeah, you cut the grass, you crack open a bear,
- 35:38Speaker 6: you stare at how straight those lines are.
- 35:41Speaker 2: It's a great day, that's right, absolutely, Or or you know,
- 35:46Speaker 2: you know, you plant a bed of flowers and you know,
- 35:50Speaker 2: in a few months it looks great and you're like,
- 35:52Speaker 2: I did that. I did that with my hands. You know.
- 35:56Speaker 3: Do you plant like food or just not just no
- 35:58Speaker 3: that that's too much for me, just for show, just
- 36:01Speaker 3: for show, just to make your property look good. What
- 36:03Speaker 3: kind of flowers?
- 36:04Speaker 2: All kinds? Although I'm having trouble with the lavender, right,
- 36:08Speaker 2: I don't know. So it's good stuff, good stuff, So
- 36:13Speaker 2: I you know.
- 36:16Speaker 4: I'm just like I'm having trouble with the lavender.
- 36:18Speaker 2: What about dishwashers? Any any favorite whirlpool?
- 36:23Speaker 4: I don't know what kind of dishwasher. I have a
- 36:30Speaker 4: washing machine, I know that, and it's really good.
- 36:32Speaker 2: I use a bosh and I bought it because of
- 36:35Speaker 2: its quietness, and it is quiet.
- 36:37Speaker 4: You don't even know about your affinity for Chris.
- 36:41Speaker 2: Uh, but you know we can. We can talk appliances people.
- 36:44Speaker 4: Want, John Cpliances are on the table.
- 36:47Speaker 2: John writes in He says, the Jersey Mike's just opened
- 36:51Speaker 2: up in my town. Was wondering what you guys, what
- 36:54Speaker 2: are your go to subs that I can try. I'll
- 36:56Speaker 2: call in during the week and let you know how
- 36:59Speaker 2: it went. Ps. Can I still call in with the
- 37:02Speaker 2: Bay you jokes, even though Hardy will be gone.
- 37:05Speaker 4: Yes you can.
- 37:06Speaker 2: Jonathan Louisiana, I just have to say about Jersey Mike's.
- 37:10Speaker 3: I gotta put this out there because I know he's
- 37:12Speaker 3: gonna try Jersey Mikes and he's gonna call in and
- 37:14Speaker 3: tell me that I hyped it up too much. You
- 37:16Speaker 3: gotta understand what Jersey Mikes is, Okay, Jersey Mike's is
- 37:20Speaker 3: just a solid, consistent sub chain. Nobody is telling you
- 37:24Speaker 3: that it's the greatest sandwich that you ever had, So
- 37:27Speaker 3: keep that in.
- 37:28Speaker 4: Mind, not to be confused with some local place that
- 37:32Speaker 4: you've gone to, whatever. But you can go to a
- 37:36Speaker 4: Jersey Mike's anywhere around and you're gonna get a solid
- 37:40Speaker 4: sub Number thirteen would be my right.
- 37:42Speaker 2: Although the service Italian inconsistent.
- 37:45Speaker 4: That's why you gotta order on mobile app.
- 37:47Speaker 3: Yeah, I think any it was thirteen, classic Italian, classic Italian.
- 37:53Speaker 2: Yeah, number thirteen is one of my go tos. And
- 37:58Speaker 2: the steak and cheeses are good. Yeah.
- 38:00Speaker 3: The Chipotle cheese steak is the best steak and cheese one.
- 38:03Speaker 2: I think Chipotle.
- 38:04Speaker 4: Yeah, it's number forty three. Oh, a little spicy good good. Yeah,
- 38:10Speaker 4: you had bacon when you're particularly fat.
- 38:12Speaker 2: Bacon on the cheese steak.
- 38:14Speaker 3: People in Philadelphia terrific.
- 38:17Speaker 4: And the Chipotle mayo is good too, good. That's the
- 38:21Speaker 4: one I get.
- 38:21Speaker 3: That's my favorite. Usually I'm making a chicken just to
- 38:24Speaker 3: be a little healthier.
- 38:25Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't really eat chicken cheese steak.
- 38:27Speaker 4: I don't try to fool anyone.
- 38:29Speaker 3: Listen, I'm a chicken cheeseteak.
- 38:30Speaker 2: Go get something else, you know, like, if you're worried
- 38:33Speaker 2: about that, then get another steak.
- 38:35Speaker 4: Just it just makes me feel a little bit like
- 38:37Speaker 4: the guy that eats the pizza. It takes the paper
- 38:40Speaker 4: towels out. Oh yeah, guy, if you care that much,
- 38:45Speaker 4: probably not a great choice.
- 38:47Speaker 3: I'm not that bad, but little decisions, you know, like
- 38:50Speaker 3: instead of the beef, I'll get the chicken and it
- 38:52Speaker 3: tastes great. Still, Yeah, you know whatever, I don't need
- 38:57Speaker 3: to do that.
- 38:57Speaker 2: Grant Minnesota might be a dumb topic to debate, probably
- 39:00Speaker 2: not today, not today. But watching Gronk, Edelman and Welker
- 39:05Speaker 2: up there got me. I guess he meant the Hall
- 39:07Speaker 2: of Fame induction, thinking about which one of them will
- 39:10Speaker 2: get into the Patriots Hall of Fame first. If you
- 39:12Speaker 2: guys could do a somewhat in depth analysis of when
- 39:15Speaker 2: they're eligible and who they're going up against when they are,
- 39:19Speaker 2: that could be fun. Could Welker take long enough that
- 39:21Speaker 2: he has to go up against Gronk and Jewel.
- 39:23Speaker 4: I'll tell you who will be last?
- 39:24Speaker 3: Already eligible, Welker will be last.
- 39:27Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 39:28Speaker 4: I can't even get him on the finalist ballot.
- 39:29Speaker 2: I know the next ten to fifteen ish years of
- 39:32Speaker 2: Patriots Hall of Famers is going to be fun and
- 39:34Speaker 2: interesting for the fans.
- 39:36Speaker 4: Did Edelman and Gronk retire the same year? No?
- 39:39Speaker 3: I think Gronk went back for one more year in Tampa.
- 39:41Speaker 4: Right, Okay, so Edelman will get in first.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Was twenty twenty Welker's eligible.
- 39:46Speaker 4: Now, we's been eligible for the last two years.
- 39:48Speaker 2: And who's he going? Well this year, they're not going
- 39:51Speaker 2: to do it because of the Brady thing. Right next year?
- 39:53Speaker 2: Who who would he be going on?
- 39:55Speaker 4: I don't care, Like they don't want to put him
- 39:57Speaker 4: on the Makons like I keep voting him.
- 39:59Speaker 2: Oh no, But it's not the they don't want to
- 40:00Speaker 2: put him on the ballot, it's just who he's going
- 40:02Speaker 2: up against.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Yeah, and I think he vastly outperforms the guys that
- 40:06Speaker 4: are like So, I don't think he's getting it. I
- 40:09Speaker 4: don't think it's going to just be a slam dunk.
- 40:12Speaker 2: No, but I think he'll get in eventually.
- 40:14Speaker 4: I'm not so sure.
- 40:14Speaker 3: Maybe if there's a dry spell because of the current sty.
- 40:17Speaker 2: Or Randy Moss, who would you put it?
- 40:20Speaker 3: I agree, yeah, Welker should be not in.
- 40:23Speaker 4: Yeah, Moss has never even gotten really a sniff.
- 40:26Speaker 2: No, I was thinking about that, you know, the reception,
- 40:29Speaker 2: and I was going back to that seven years. So
- 40:31Speaker 2: Brady had fifty touchdown passes at that time, a new record.
- 40:35Speaker 2: Moss had twenty three of them, right, and Bronk had seventeen. Right.
- 40:40Speaker 4: Not that year?
- 40:41Speaker 2: Oh not that year. Oh okay, okay, So so Moss
- 40:47Speaker 2: had twenty three and the rest were kind of spread
- 40:48Speaker 2: out among a lot of players.
- 40:50Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, yeah, I think I think Welker had eight.
- 40:54Speaker 4: That yeah makes sense. No, but well it would be
- 40:57Speaker 4: but yeah, Gronk wasn't on.
- 40:59Speaker 3: I believe Logan make came in second to Rabel if
- 41:02Speaker 3: I remember correctly last year. So he would be technical.
- 41:07Speaker 3: You know, you would think, you would think and you know,
- 41:09Speaker 3: not to get into the whole thing. But it is
- 41:11Speaker 3: the off season they keep putting Bill Parcells on the ballot,
- 41:14Speaker 3: and it's like, can we.
- 41:16Speaker 2: Can we stop with that? I agree with that.
- 41:20Speaker 3: It's not just because whether you think he should be
- 41:22Speaker 3: in or not, he's had his chance to try to
- 41:24Speaker 3: get him in.
- 41:25Speaker 4: Yeah, so here's the problem, over and over, and this
- 41:27Speaker 4: is what's going on now. So a lot of a
- 41:31Speaker 4: lot of a lot of us, a lot of a
- 41:34Speaker 4: lot of my colleagues are very sensitive. So you get
- 41:39Speaker 4: criticized when you're part of that committee. Oh, it's embarrassing
- 41:44Speaker 4: that you won't put Bill Parcells in. And then you
- 41:47Speaker 4: counter with we've made him a finalists I believe six
- 41:51Speaker 4: times now at least five. So it's not our fault
- 41:55Speaker 4: that he's not in. They're not voting for him once
- 41:57Speaker 4: he's one of the final voting for so it's now
- 42:01Speaker 4: like a self fulfilling prophecy. Well, I'm not gonna let
- 42:05Speaker 4: Dan Shaughnessy make fun of me. I'm gonna vote Parcels
- 42:08Speaker 4: as one of my three guys, one of my three
- 42:10Speaker 4: finalists nominees right now. I'm sure a lot of people
- 42:14Speaker 4: that vote for him believe like me, believe that he
- 42:16Speaker 4: should be one of the three finalists. Now, last year
- 42:19Speaker 4: I think was Welker, Mankins and Vrabel. I didn't have
- 42:23Speaker 4: Parcels as one of my three. If I'm thinking I'm
- 42:27Speaker 4: remembering the right year. I don't think I had Parcels
- 42:29Speaker 4: last year. But that's where I think happens is these
- 42:34Speaker 4: guys see Dan Shaughnessy make fun of of you know,
- 42:38Speaker 4: the polo shirt wearing, you know the cartel which I'm
- 42:42Speaker 4: proudly a member. I'm in the cartel. I don't really
- 42:47Speaker 4: care what Dan shaughnessy. You know. I like Dan. I
- 42:49Speaker 4: think he's the best columnist by far in the city.
- 42:52Speaker 4: He's had a wonderful career, But I don't really care
- 42:55Speaker 4: that he makes fun of me like it doesn't bother me,
- 42:57Speaker 4: you know, And I make fun myself to him. I
- 43:01Speaker 4: actually joke with him when I see him all the time.
- 43:03Speaker 4: I go, don't have the polo on today, Dan, and
- 43:06Speaker 4: he laughs like it's just a good fun. But I
- 43:08Speaker 4: think some of the guys take offense to that, and
- 43:11Speaker 4: they go in there and they bend over back, which
- 43:13Speaker 4: to make sure that no one's gonna tell me I'm
- 43:15Speaker 4: not being fair to you Carcels, like you said.
- 43:17Speaker 3: He had he said five or six chances.
- 43:19Speaker 2: They must hate me.
- 43:20Speaker 4: The fans are never gonna vote.
- 43:21Speaker 2: They must hate me because I'm the I'm the head
- 43:24Speaker 2: of the Parcels. Can't be in the team hall of Fame.
- 43:27Speaker 2: I've made the case against him.
- 43:29Speaker 3: I respect that.
- 43:30Speaker 2: In the room in front of people.
- 43:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean, you're right, but you're really.
- 43:33Speaker 4: Informed, But what are you gonna do?
- 43:35Speaker 2: That's fine, but that's my opinion. I think he's the
- 43:38Speaker 2: second best coach this team has ever had. I agree
- 43:41Speaker 2: with the drafting. He did great things, but he also
- 43:44Speaker 2: did bad things to the team, and when that happens,
- 43:47Speaker 2: you can't put him in a team Hall of Fame.
- 43:48Speaker 3: I just don't really feel like he had the longevity either,
- 43:51Speaker 3: Like he was only the coach here for four years. Yeah,
- 43:53Speaker 3: so like if he was here for ten and it
- 43:56Speaker 3: was mostly.
- 43:57Speaker 2: Good, then it would be different.
- 43:58Speaker 3: I'd feel differently. But it wasn't even that long. And
- 44:03Speaker 3: I also just feel in general, outside of the Bill
- 44:06Speaker 3: Belichicks of the world, it's it should be mostly for
- 44:10Speaker 3: the players right now.
- 44:12Speaker 4: I think there should be a whole separate thing. We
- 44:14Speaker 4: shouldn't vote on coaches and contributors at all. Right, well,
- 44:17Speaker 4: we don't vote on contribute that should be that should
- 44:19Speaker 4: be all separate, right, But like Bill will go.
- 44:20Speaker 3: Like I'm assuming mister Craft's gonna just put Bill in
- 44:23Speaker 3: like he did with Tom when that time.
- 44:24Speaker 4: Comes, probably Bill Belichick you yeah, yeah.
- 44:27Speaker 3: So that will be that'll you know, that'll take care
- 44:30Speaker 3: of itself. But you know, he just put Dante surprised.
- 44:34Speaker 2: I wouldn't be surprised if one of Roberts, you know,
- 44:38Speaker 2: last Wishes is also putting parcels in.
- 44:41Speaker 4: Oh, I wouldn't be surprised if he if he if
- 44:42Speaker 4: he does that, right.
- 44:43Speaker 2: It's a lot of That's the other thing in that room.
- 44:46Speaker 2: Everyone thinks that he's not in because Craft doesn't want
- 44:49Speaker 2: him in. Parcels.
- 44:50Speaker 4: But that's what I'm talking about with Dan, and Dan
- 44:53Speaker 4: writes it all the time.
- 44:54Speaker 2: But I know, but it's not true.
- 44:56Speaker 4: It's not true because Dan takes it the next step.
- 45:00Speaker 4: He thinks, yeah, yeah, they put it out there, and
- 45:02Speaker 4: then they doctor the vote.
- 45:05Speaker 2: It's not Believe me.
- 45:06Speaker 4: If we if we got one hundred people voting right now,
- 45:11Speaker 4: I would say eighty of a minimum would say he
- 45:13Speaker 4: shouldn't be in it because they're right. And I honestly,
- 45:17Speaker 4: I'm not petty like you. Why am I petty because
- 45:20Speaker 4: you're not recognizing what he did. I just said I recognized,
- 45:23Speaker 4: but I also saved them. But I also if he
- 45:27Speaker 4: was the coach and Craft hadn't brought the team, he'd
- 45:30Speaker 4: be coaching in Saint Louis.
- 45:33Speaker 2: He didn't save them.
- 45:35Speaker 4: That's a fact I'm talking about where they were. I
- 45:37Speaker 4: know he gave them.
- 45:39Speaker 2: Credibility, and to him, I just said, I give him
- 45:43Speaker 2: credit for all the good things he did and the
- 45:46Speaker 2: good coach that he is, but I also acknowledged the
- 45:49Speaker 2: things he did to hurt the organization, and I think
- 45:52Speaker 2: when you do that, you don't deserve to be in
- 45:53Speaker 2: the team's Hall of fame. What put him in Canton.
- 45:57Speaker 2: Every from from the day the Craft bought that team,
- 46:01Speaker 2: Parcels gave him a hard time, saying that ninety four season,
- 46:05Speaker 2: I don't know if I want to coach anymore. I don't,
- 46:08Speaker 2: you know, Like Craft had to basically say, you beg
- 46:12Speaker 2: him to come back, and every year, I don't know
- 46:14Speaker 2: if I want to be back. It just it was
- 46:17Speaker 2: a hard guy to deal with.
- 46:18Speaker 4: And then what he did, I would agree with that.
- 46:20Speaker 4: He's a hard guy to deal And then he did
- 46:21Speaker 4: at the end damaging.
- 46:23Speaker 2: You know, with the Jets and everything, Like he went
- 46:25Speaker 2: to our bitter rival and was dealing with them during
- 46:28Speaker 2: the Super Bowl. Oh because he could, because because one time,
- 46:32Speaker 2: because one time Craft sided with his personnel department.
- 46:36Speaker 4: But I mean, don't make it out to be that
- 46:37Speaker 4: it just came out of nowhere. He just decided to jet.
- 46:40Speaker 2: But but he's such a you call me a baby,
- 46:43Speaker 2: He's a baby.
- 46:44Speaker 4: Is absolutely we wanted a guy to deal with.
- 46:47Speaker 2: We want to give him credit for all these great
- 46:49Speaker 2: draft picks, which we should, and then the one draft
- 46:51Speaker 2: pick that he couldn't, you know, like I don't have to.
- 46:55Speaker 4: Go back and look what he wanted to do, and
- 46:56Speaker 4: look what they did.
- 46:57Speaker 2: If you tell me what was if you want to,
- 46:58Speaker 2: you know, have cooked the dinner, let me buy the groceries. Okay, well,
- 47:02Speaker 2: we're giving you credit for all these groceries. You well,
- 47:04Speaker 2: one time, you know you weren't able to do it.
- 47:07Speaker 2: Now I'm leaving.
- 47:09Speaker 4: Yeah, come on, come on, we don't need to reliligate this.
- 47:13Speaker 4: Well now, but we know how you feel. Everybody knows
- 47:16Speaker 4: how I feel. Yeah, you're you're guy, and I would
- 47:19Speaker 4: say eighty plus percent would agree with you.
- 47:21Speaker 3: In Evan, your guy deserves more credit like therew' is
- 47:24Speaker 3: the reason why the team became.
- 47:26Speaker 4: Well, I'll tell you one thing that I take a
- 47:28Speaker 4: lot of offense to that this is the house that
- 47:30Speaker 4: Brady built. This is the house that Drew built. No,
- 47:34Speaker 4: he just never got to performance. This is the how
- 47:37Speaker 4: that craft and you don't do it if you didn't
- 47:39Speaker 4: have that draft pick, because if you just continued to
- 47:42Speaker 4: go three and thirteen every year, they wouldn't have built
- 47:44Speaker 4: this place. Yeah, and he's the one that lent the
- 47:47Speaker 4: franchise on field legitimately, so I.
- 47:49Speaker 2: Think eventually he would have built a new stadium. You
- 47:52Speaker 2: had to that that thing was dumb. It was more
- 47:55Speaker 2: than a dump. I mean literally, there were high school
- 47:57Speaker 2: fields in Texas better than Foxboro Station High.
- 48:00Speaker 4: School seems probably in Massachusetts.
- 48:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it was awful. It was awful.
- 48:04Speaker 4: It was a bad place.
- 48:05Speaker 2: You had to build a new stadium.
- 48:08Speaker 3: But at this point, can we just retire him on
- 48:12Speaker 3: the ballot? Like Bill Parcells is not getting voted by
- 48:14Speaker 3: the fans into the Hall of Fame. And what it
- 48:17Speaker 3: does is it prevents Wes Welker from being on the
- 48:20Speaker 3: ballot or guys that are actually you know, let's put
- 48:23Speaker 3: some new names out there of guys that that could.
- 48:26Speaker 4: I thought I was being pumped last year when they
- 48:28Speaker 4: told me that Welker wasn't one of the finalists. Yeah,
- 48:31Speaker 4: that's how sure I was.
- 48:33Speaker 3: I mean, he's has still a single season receiving yards record,
- 48:37Speaker 3: I believe in second all time in career receiving yards.
- 48:41Speaker 2: I mean, I remember when we played that Super Bowl
- 48:44Speaker 2: in Atlanta, and we had that big room that we
- 48:47Speaker 2: were all in, and we started talking about the Edelman
- 48:50Speaker 2: Vsus Welker comparison, and you know, certain people were Edlman's better,
- 48:54Speaker 2: look at what he did in the playoffs, and then
- 48:56Speaker 2: we brought out the numbers.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Andy and these people.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Wow, they they didn't realize the numbers that Welker had.
- 49:05Speaker 2: I mean it was phenomenal.
- 49:07Speaker 4: And like for some re you know, not for some reason.
- 49:09Speaker 4: We all know the other reason. But like super Bowl
- 49:12Speaker 4: that they lost, you know, the perfect season. You know
- 49:15Speaker 4: what Welker had in that Super Bowl. He's the best
- 49:16Speaker 4: player ten for buck twenty or something like that. Like
- 49:20Speaker 4: this whole notion that he's a choker because he didn't
- 49:23Speaker 4: didn't catch one pass right, like.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Would have been a pretty great catch.
- 49:27Speaker 2: And what you know Dante talks about every quarterback needs
- 49:30Speaker 2: his binky. Yeah, he was the binkie for Brady. I mean,
- 49:34Speaker 2: you know, Moss was great and all that stuff, but
- 49:36Speaker 2: when it came to like third down, you needed five yards,
- 49:39Speaker 2: you need it was it was wels Welker time and
- 49:43Speaker 2: time again. It's not just the total numbers, it's the
- 49:46Speaker 2: it's the catches for first downs, you know, the third
- 49:49Speaker 2: down catches, Like he was so consistent and.
- 49:53Speaker 4: This is not like every time you make a comparison
- 49:55Speaker 4: and automatically deteriorates, right, every bit is just deserving of
- 50:00Speaker 4: the spot that he has in Patriots.
- 50:02Speaker 2: They both should be in the Pro Patriots.
- 50:05Speaker 4: He had a great career for the Patriots, great postseason career.
- 50:08Speaker 4: The numbers speak for themselves. This is not to denigrate
- 50:12Speaker 4: at all.
- 50:13Speaker 3: So Edelman's can be eligible right next next year twenty
- 50:17Speaker 3: He retired in twenty twenty.
- 50:18Speaker 2: Is that right here?
- 50:19Speaker 4: Two three, twenty four, He'll be eligible in twenty five, right.
- 50:23Speaker 2: The next time we do this.
- 50:24Speaker 3: So that's not my as well, not put anybody else
- 50:26Speaker 3: on the bout math. Yeah, I mean he's gonna he's
- 50:29Speaker 3: going to get ninety nine point nine percent of the vote.
- 50:31Speaker 2: Top Yeah. Certainly when it comes to the fans, he
- 50:34Speaker 2: will oh yeah, yeah yeah. But the room is different
- 50:37Speaker 2: because and I'm talking about the Patriots Hall of Fame
- 50:41Speaker 2: nomination committee. It's it's a it's a group of you know,
- 50:44Speaker 2: there's like really old guys that have been here since
- 50:47Speaker 2: you know, the early seventies. Used to be some from
- 50:50Speaker 2: the sixties and just kind of old guys in and
- 50:52Speaker 2: then there's some now you know, they're trying to infuse
- 50:55Speaker 2: some younger you know, uh uh Perry from.
- 50:58Speaker 4: Andor came on fil has been coming in a.
- 51:00Speaker 2: Couple of years ago. So you know, some of the
- 51:02Speaker 2: younger guys starting to get still don't get but it's
- 51:05Speaker 2: good to have the older representation.
- 51:07Speaker 4: You might get it because I have a feeling that
- 51:09Speaker 4: when Edelman is the slam dunk at the nomination committee
- 51:13Speaker 4: and I get pissed about that, I might just have
- 51:15Speaker 4: to stand up and resign.
- 51:17Speaker 3: So be ready up in the bullpen deuces, first in line.
- 51:21Speaker 2: But when somebody stands up in the room and nominates
- 51:25Speaker 2: a certain kicker from the seventies and eighties, I draw like,
- 51:28Speaker 2: it's like, what are we doing? Yeah, what are we doing? Like, Yeah,
- 51:31Speaker 2: I'm all for nostalgia, but let's take this seriously.
- 51:35Speaker 3: You know, that's any Hall of Fame kicker. You know,
- 51:40Speaker 3: it's any Hall of Fame, any Every hall of Fame
- 51:42Speaker 3: has that guy that's seventy five years old that's still
- 51:45Speaker 3: saying that the guy in nineteen fifty is the one
- 51:48Speaker 3: that should be in there.
- 51:48Speaker 4: I have no doubt there are players from you know,
- 51:51Speaker 4: the seventies and eighties that were worthy of Hall of
- 51:54Speaker 4: Fame considerations.
- 51:55Speaker 2: That dynasty.
- 51:56Speaker 4: They're not going to get in. We know why. But
- 52:00Speaker 4: to Fred's point, there's a couple that get nominated that
- 52:02Speaker 4: don't even really they weren't even really good in their era. Yeah,
- 52:07Speaker 4: like they were just like on the team and you
- 52:09Speaker 4: remember their name. Yeah.
- 52:10Speaker 3: I just feel like, not that I feel like it
- 52:12Speaker 3: should be me or anything, but because a lot of
- 52:16Speaker 3: Patriots fans are like my age and younger because of
- 52:18Speaker 3: how successful they were at the dynasty years, it'd be
- 52:21Speaker 3: cool to have like some younger blood in that room
- 52:24Speaker 3: that can speak for the people that like me that
- 52:27Speaker 3: grew up in the dynasty, like we did not grow
- 52:29Speaker 3: up with the seventies and eighties Patriots.
- 52:31Speaker 2: The thing I fear about that is you don't know
- 52:34Speaker 2: about the guys.
- 52:35Speaker 3: Before, right, which is why it's good balance though. Yeah,
- 52:37Speaker 3: that's all.
- 52:38Speaker 4: So I think there's too many people in that room.
- 52:41Speaker 2: Too many. Yeah, could period. So there's what like thirty
- 52:44Speaker 2: people now, I think or something like that.
- 52:45Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean usually usually get like somewhere between twenty
- 52:48Speaker 4: and thirty every year. Yeah, like to sort of pair
- 52:52Speaker 4: that down a little bit.
- 52:54Speaker 3: Paul just wants to vote himself, that's okay.
- 52:58Speaker 2: Well, if it was up to me, they'd be like
- 53:00Speaker 2: four people in the Pagos, all of Freddy.
- 53:02Speaker 3: Yeah, tough, tough crowd.
- 53:05Speaker 2: Eric from Amherstberg about electric mowers, I knew it. The
- 53:10Speaker 2: equipment does last forty five to fifty minutes they advertise,
- 53:14Speaker 2: he says an hour, which is true when you're running
- 53:16Speaker 2: full tilt.
- 53:17Speaker 4: Correct, That's exactly what the guy said to me.
- 53:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I have two batteries for each because you can
- 53:23Speaker 2: get it. I'm going all electric way better even with
- 53:26Speaker 2: batteries being a little pricey right now. It makes cutting
- 53:28Speaker 2: the grass way more enjoyable with how smooth and quiet
- 53:32Speaker 2: they are. Yeah, I mean when you're buying these longmoarders,
- 53:37Speaker 2: you got to look at the ccs. You know, you've
- 53:40Speaker 2: got to have power, especially if, like you know, it's
- 53:43Speaker 2: growing fast and you only get to mow every ten
- 53:46Speaker 2: days and it gets a little thick. You don't want
- 53:48Speaker 2: the blaze to slow down. You know, you gotta have
- 53:51Speaker 2: a lot of power. Spend the extra money for the
- 53:54Speaker 2: extra power.
- 53:55Speaker 4: So Fred you have like a bag you know? Yeah,
- 53:59Speaker 4: Now do you just let the mulch go?
- 54:01Speaker 2: Sometimes it depends how I feel, But I don't mow
- 54:03Speaker 2: the lawn myself all the time. I have a lot
- 54:05Speaker 2: of you have people that do have people and plus no,
- 54:09Speaker 2: but my backyard is like straight down. It's it's a
- 54:12Speaker 2: tough mo Yeah.
- 54:13Speaker 4: I have not seen your your your current house, but
- 54:17Speaker 4: my current property. So I did, like the first couple
- 54:19Speaker 4: of mos of the season, I bagged it and it it.
- 54:25Speaker 4: I didn't even mean that one. Usually I do those
- 54:27Speaker 4: on purpose. And I had to like empty the bag
- 54:32Speaker 4: like three times, and I was.
- 54:33Speaker 2: Like, it's a pan of Well that's the other thing,
- 54:36Speaker 2: you know, Like you read different things. They say early
- 54:38Speaker 2: in the season you should bag it, but then as
- 54:41Speaker 2: you go along it's good to not bag it. Mulch it,
- 54:44Speaker 2: you know, let It's what I've heard. But then in
- 54:47Speaker 2: the fall say, oh, you got to de thatch and
- 54:49Speaker 2: air rate it because all that stuff, you know, keeps
- 54:52Speaker 2: the air from going on. So which is it? You know?
- 54:55Speaker 4: Well, when I get the you know, I do have
- 54:57Speaker 4: people that do the landscaping, yeah, you know, so they
- 55:00Speaker 4: replaced the mulch beds, give me a nice fresh edge
- 55:02Speaker 4: and all that stuff. So when that first happens, I
- 55:05Speaker 4: don't want to just let it fly. I want to
- 55:08Speaker 4: bag the clippings because I don't want them to get
- 55:10Speaker 4: in the mulch. Right go up to the edge and
- 55:12Speaker 4: I get really maniacal. I have this little rake, I
- 55:15Speaker 4: come on those shore. I want to get it all out.
- 55:17Speaker 4: Now it's like clumps everywhere well, you.
- 55:19Speaker 3: Can't have the club, you know with the dog. The
- 55:21Speaker 3: dog is going to eat all the grass if I
- 55:23Speaker 3: did it that way.
- 55:25Speaker 2: Or something for the bunnies in the backynd Paul's foods here,
- 55:28Speaker 2: So we've got to take a break.
- 55:29Speaker 4: We'll read them back.

- 56:47Speaker 6: What's up, everybody, Mattie Here, let's listen to a little
- 56:49Speaker 6: bit of Bill Belichick's speech at Tom Brady's Hall of
- 56:52Speaker 6: Fame induction ceremony.
- 56:57Speaker 9: Thanks, thanks so much.
- 56:58Speaker 10: That's a warm, warm welcome. I can't tell you how
- 57:02Speaker 10: much it means to me to come back here and
- 57:06Speaker 10: see the patriar, great patriot fans.
- 57:08Speaker 4: Thank you. M So.
- 57:24Speaker 9: It was Uh.
- 57:25Speaker 10: I'll tell you it's this is hard because, for you know,
- 57:29Speaker 10: a couple of hours, everybody, and rightfully so, everybody has
- 57:34Speaker 10: said so many things about Tom, great things about him,
- 57:38Speaker 10: and it's just kind of being redundant to go on
- 57:41Speaker 10: and on about all the greatness that he's brought to
- 57:45Speaker 10: all of us, you know, all of us fans and coaches,
- 57:49Speaker 10: everybody who's been involved with them. So I'll try to
- 57:53Speaker 10: just you know, shout a couple of personal, uh stories
- 57:57Speaker 10: and around remarks here. But first of all, I would
- 58:01Speaker 10: say it was a tremendous honor and privilege for me
- 58:04Speaker 10: to you know, draft Tom and to coach him for
- 58:08Speaker 10: twenty years.
- 58:09Speaker 9: And it's.
- 58:16Speaker 10: You know, as as we've heard from so many of
- 58:18Speaker 10: his teammates, his pursuit of excellence, his work ethic, the drive,
- 58:25Speaker 10: the competitiveness, the unselfishness.
- 58:28Speaker 9: The like everything he brought to the team.
- 58:31Speaker 10: It was it was really an honor for me to
- 58:34Speaker 10: be involved with that and to be able to work
- 58:38Speaker 10: with him every day and and learn from it. So
- 58:43Speaker 10: I know that, you know, we can talk about, you know,
- 58:46Speaker 10: a lot of his great plays and honestly be up
- 58:48Speaker 10: here all night. I mean this thing, would you know,
- 58:50Speaker 10: we could go until the middle of the next week,
- 58:52Speaker 10: but you know, just a handful of things and the
- 58:54Speaker 10: guys that just were up there.
- 58:57Speaker 9: Uh.
- 58:57Speaker 10: You know that the eighty two yard touchdown to Troy
- 59:00Speaker 10: Brown in two thousand and three to beat Miami in overtime, right,
- 59:05Speaker 10: I mean the fifty nine yard touchdown in the snow
- 59:12Speaker 10: to Dion Branch down the sideline in.
- 59:14Speaker 9: Chicago, right here on this field.
- 59:21Speaker 10: Five touchdown passes in the second quarter against Tennessee, three
- 59:30Speaker 10: to Randy one on a flea flicker, and two to
- 59:33Speaker 10: West in one quarter the scene passed to Rob in
- 59:43Speaker 10: Super Bowl fifty three to set up the winning touchdown.
- 59:50Speaker 9: And we can go on, we can go on and on.
- 59:55Speaker 10: But you know, a couple of the plays that I
- 59:57Speaker 10: think about that I remember where Tom would is like
- 1:00:00Speaker 10: the most excited after the play would be the scramble
- 1:00:07Speaker 10: in Chicago against Erlacker for the first down. The scramble
- 1:00:14Speaker 10: for the touchdown in a snowball against the Raiders, where honest,
- 1:00:25Speaker 10: the guy when he spiked the ball as afraid he
- 1:00:27Speaker 10: was in a separated shoulder.
- 1:00:32Speaker 9: But I think they was a little surprised at some
- 1:00:36Speaker 9: of those plays.
- 1:00:36Speaker 10: But there were those are awesome plays, and you know,
- 1:00:39Speaker 10: to watch Tom run and and you know, pick up
- 1:00:42Speaker 10: those key first downs and touchdowns and all that, like,
- 1:00:44Speaker 10: I mean, he loved that, he really did.
- 1:00:47Speaker 9: He loved that.
- 1:00:49Speaker 10: But you know, we talk about, you know, we talk
- 1:00:51Speaker 10: about all Tom's great plays and go on and on
- 1:00:53Speaker 10: and on.
- 1:00:54Speaker 9: But you know, let me I'll just say this.
- 1:00:57Speaker 10: The thing about Tom that I think is so impressive,
- 1:01:02Speaker 10: so unbelievably impressive. And what he did for us, for
- 1:01:07Speaker 10: you know, twenty years, nineteen years that he played for US,
- 1:01:10Speaker 10: is he avoided bad plays.
- 1:01:13Speaker 9: He avoided bad plays. And we have a saying.
- 1:01:17Speaker 10: You have a couple of sayings here that you know
- 1:01:20Speaker 10: I've used with the teams. You know, you can't win
- 1:01:22Speaker 10: until you keep from losing, or more games in the
- 1:01:25Speaker 10: NFL are lost than are one. If you just don't
- 1:01:28Speaker 10: go out there and screw it up, you've got a
- 1:01:30Speaker 10: pretty good chance, you know, to win.
- 1:01:33Speaker 9: And with Tom, through his.
- 1:01:37Speaker 10: Decision making preparation, the numbers are just you know, historical
- 1:01:45Speaker 10: in terms of fewest turnovers, fewest negative runs, fewest offensive penalties.
- 1:01:54Speaker 10: And so when you eliminate you know, all those plays
- 1:02:00Speaker 10: and you can stay out a long yardage and you
- 1:02:03Speaker 10: can you know, you can keep the ball going forward
- 1:02:05Speaker 10: and you can keep managing situations. And then that makes
- 1:02:10Speaker 10: you know Tom's excellence on third down and in the
- 1:02:12Speaker 10: red area and long sustained drives because there were so
- 1:02:16Speaker 10: very few bad plays, way way less than less than
- 1:02:19Speaker 10: any other team in the league by by far. And
- 1:02:22Speaker 10: of all the things that Tom does well, I think
- 1:02:25Speaker 10: the ones that are the thing that's underappreciated, not by
- 1:02:30Speaker 10: the coaching staff, and it's certainly not by me, but
- 1:02:32Speaker 10: you know, sometimes people just don't give them enough credit
- 1:02:35Speaker 10: for how very few bad plays he had a quarterback
- 1:02:40Speaker 10: as a team and you know, yeah, hell yeah, I
- 1:02:44Speaker 10: mean absolutely, And you know, for the quarterback who handles
- 1:02:57Speaker 10: the ball literally on every single play. I mean other
- 1:03:01Speaker 10: than a direct snap to Kevin Falk or you know,
- 1:03:05Speaker 10: James White, but he literally handles the ball on every play.
- 1:03:09Speaker 9: So every play goes through went through Tom.
- 1:03:12Speaker 10: And there were just so few bad runs, sacks, penalties,
- 1:03:18Speaker 10: turnovers that the team was never really put in very.
- 1:03:23Speaker 9: Many bad positions.
- 1:03:24Speaker 10: And I think that's one of the all Tom's great qualities.
- 1:03:29Speaker 10: That's one of the greatest is he always protected the team,
- 1:03:32Speaker 10: did the best thing for the team, and kept the
- 1:03:34Speaker 10: team out of bad situations. And that really helps everybody else. Now,
- 1:03:50Speaker 10: the one bad decision that Tom did make that I
- 1:03:57Speaker 10: personally saw was not on the football field, but was
- 1:04:02Speaker 10: on the golf course. And Bill Peraki, the CEO at
- 1:04:10Speaker 10: Pebble Beach and invited invited me to play in the
- 1:04:13Speaker 10: Pebble Beach Pro Am and so I played with Tom.
- 1:04:17Speaker 10: So we're going to force them together. And we're on
- 1:04:20Speaker 10: the sixth hole, and the sixth hole is a long
- 1:04:22Speaker 10: par five down a hill, up the hill, the Pacific
- 1:04:26Speaker 10: oceans on the rights, big cliff, and so you know,
- 1:04:30Speaker 10: it's a typical pebble beach day, overcast, cloudy, light, rain,
- 1:04:35Speaker 10: miss you know, not typical. And Tom, now again the
- 1:04:42Speaker 10: pro am. Keep in mind, you have a pro. So
- 1:04:45Speaker 10: when you hit a bad shot, and I hit a
- 1:04:46Speaker 10: lot of them, you just picked the ball up and
- 1:04:49Speaker 10: played a pros ball. That's what you got a pro for.
- 1:04:51Speaker 10: So you don't worry about double bogies. You don't worry
- 1:04:53Speaker 10: about triple bogies. I don't worry about lost balls. It's the
- 1:04:56Speaker 10: pro's job. Make a part. So Tom, his is, here's
- 1:05:00Speaker 10: the second shot, and the ball's going over to the right,
- 1:05:03Speaker 10: over to the cliff, which goes into the Atlantic Goat
- 1:05:06Speaker 10: or into the Pacific Ocean, and the ball rolls out
- 1:05:08Speaker 10: of sight and so like, well, you know, it looks
- 1:05:11Speaker 10: like this one rolled into the ocean. And as we
- 1:05:13Speaker 10: walk up there, you don't see the ball. And we
- 1:05:17Speaker 10: get to the edge and look over the cliff and
- 1:05:20Speaker 10: there's the ball on a ledge over the cliff and
- 1:05:24Speaker 10: the cliff now is like two hundred and fifty feet
- 1:05:26Speaker 10: down to the Pacific Ocean rocks and the waves are
- 1:05:29Speaker 10: smashing on the rocks.
- 1:05:32Speaker 9: And I look at Tom and I look.
- 1:05:35Speaker 10: At the ocean, and I'm thinking about our starting quarterback,
- 1:05:39Speaker 10: and I'm thinking about our season. And Tom's got that
- 1:05:44Speaker 10: that determined, focused, laser focused Tom Brady.
- 1:05:49Speaker 9: Look, we all know what that is.
- 1:05:52Speaker 10: And he takes the club and walks down onto this ledge.
- 1:05:58Speaker 10: He's got one foot on the side, one foot on
- 1:06:00Speaker 10: the grass. It's two hundred and fifty feet down to
- 1:06:02Speaker 10: the rocks, and pitches it up onto the fairway and
- 1:06:07Speaker 10: I can see my you know, I can see our
- 1:06:10Speaker 10: whole season, you know, just in my eyes there at
- 1:06:13Speaker 10: that moment. And then he needs the caddy to help
- 1:06:16Speaker 10: him launch back up onto the fairway. I mean he's
- 1:06:20Speaker 10: like down there like three or four feet and I'm like, Tom,
- 1:06:25Speaker 10: did you think about maybe just like taking an unplayable
- 1:06:28Speaker 10: eye on that one? And you know, but he Tom's
- 1:06:32Speaker 10: makes made very few bad decisions, you know, on off
- 1:06:36Speaker 10: the field. I mean he was a model for consistency,
- 1:06:40Speaker 10: for dependability and for always you know, doing the right
- 1:06:44Speaker 10: thing and was such a great example you know, for
- 1:06:47Speaker 10: all of us.
- 1:06:48Speaker 11: So when someone accidentally threw away the school play costumes,
- 1:06:52Speaker 11: oh no, replacements were shipped with FedEx and with picture
- 1:06:56Speaker 11: proof of delivery. Everyone could focus on the perfect opening
- 1:06:59Speaker 11: night X where now means next for residential delivery.
- 1:07:03Speaker 4: Only and now great moments in.
- 1:07:09Speaker 2: History.
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: I'd rather be Damien Harris than Jake Bailey.
- 1:07:13Speaker 2: Damien Harrison barely dressed for games.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: I'd rather be hating. He's a player, he's a football.
- 1:07:18Speaker 2: Player, but he doesn't play.
- 1:07:21Speaker 4: I don't care. I'm not a punter. I'm not the
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: you know, everybody ring. But he asked me which one
- 1:07:29Speaker 4: i'd rather be. I would take you if I had,
- 1:07:31Speaker 4: you know, to choose between what I'm doing now with
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: you morons, I'd be the punter, to choose between being
- 1:07:40Speaker 4: a real player and in a specialist.
- 1:07:42Speaker 2: Plus, being the running back for even just ten plays
- 1:07:44Speaker 2: hurts a lot more.
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: Oh yeah, what do you? What do you want? What
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: do you?
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: No?
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: Sacrifice? No pain? Yeah, you're just playing.
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: Paul's Rockney over here with the sacrifice.
- 1:08:00Speaker 4: That's another great moment.
- 1:08:04Speaker 2: All right, summer's here, and it sure is. We're in
- 1:08:07Speaker 2: the heat Dome here in New England. It means it's
- 1:08:10Speaker 2: time to turn off that alarm and sleep in. Thanks
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: to that part I don't agree with. Thanks to Bob's
- 1:08:15Speaker 2: Discount Furniture, save big by bundling Bob's Bobbo Pedic mattresses
- 1:08:19Speaker 2: with your choice of fantastic adjustable bases full of fun
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: features like charging ports, underbed lighting, and Bluetooth speakers. So
- 1:08:27Speaker 2: stop in and sleep better with Bob's Discount Furniture, the
- 1:08:30Speaker 2: official furniture store of the New England Patriots. Any of
- 1:08:35Speaker 2: you have adjustable beds that you know that go up?
- 1:08:38Speaker 3: Now, we have a power reclining sofa though.
- 1:08:40Speaker 2: Yeah, so I got one of the adjustable beds from
- 1:08:43Speaker 2: Jordan's I shouldn't say that, but another another company in
- 1:08:48Speaker 2: another company, and it's got it's got the under bed lighting.
- 1:08:51Speaker 2: I haven't used it once. Like, so you wake up
- 1:08:54Speaker 2: in the middle of night to do your business, right,
- 1:08:57Speaker 2: I'm not going to like find the remote to turn
- 1:08:59Speaker 2: on the light. I know the way to the bathroom,
- 1:09:01Speaker 2: you know.
- 1:09:02Speaker 3: So, But like if when we're on the road and
- 1:09:05Speaker 3: you're in a hotel and they have a little lights.
- 1:09:07Speaker 2: Well they have those lights that come on themselves. It's
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: it's motion sensor at the hotel some hotels towards friends.
- 1:09:15Speaker 3: We said when we stayed at the Ritz in Denver.
- 1:09:17Speaker 2: Maybe that was a little tired, that Ritz because.
- 1:09:20Speaker 3: It wasn't as the one that the one in Dallas.
- 1:09:24Speaker 3: That hotel I think was the nicest one.
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: Oh, that was a resort. That place was that was
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: a whole thing. Yeah, yeah, that wasn't just a hotel
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: Arizona esque.
- 1:09:32Speaker 3: That place. The one in Dallas was really really nice.
- 1:09:35Speaker 2: Yeah. Yeah, So you're looking forward to getting back on
- 1:09:38Speaker 2: the road.
- 1:09:41Speaker 3: Is my fiance listening to this.
- 1:09:44Speaker 2: Part of your job?
- 1:09:45Speaker 3: Yes, yes, you know what. I I love it. I do.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: I do love it because, first of all, just on
- 1:09:52Speaker 3: the work point of view, there's you can't cover a
- 1:09:55Speaker 3: game when you're not there, Like it's not the same
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: right to try to cover a from home if you
- 1:10:00Speaker 3: have my responsibilities, Like if you're doing what Paul is doing,
- 1:10:03Speaker 3: it's it's different when you're on the radio, but it.
- 1:10:06Speaker 2: Shot a little bit rock.
- 1:10:08Speaker 4: What are you going to do?
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: No, when you're doing a radio show, and it's yeah,
- 1:10:12Speaker 3: but like I you know, when you're writing a story
- 1:10:14Speaker 3: about the game, you got to be there. Yeah, you
- 1:10:16Speaker 3: got to be there.
- 1:10:17Speaker 2: Even what I do like I've done it both ways,
- 1:10:20Speaker 2: Like during COVID, I couldn't go to every game, and
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: it's not the same. You don't hear and see all
- 1:10:25Speaker 2: the things at home that you do. With the stadium,
- 1:10:27Speaker 2: you can only see what they're showing you.
- 1:10:29Speaker 4: But I get that a level a little bit above most.
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: Yeah, so I found being there really helps me talking
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: to the fans. So that's it.
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean I liked I looked forward to the
- 1:10:43Speaker 4: road trips all the time. Freddie and I would go
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: out every Saturday night. It was a thing. I liked it.
- 1:10:49Speaker 4: I mean, I was done with it.
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: I don't like the travel part, but once you're there,
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: it's fine.
- 1:10:53Speaker 4: Oh it's always fun when you're there. But you know,
- 1:10:56Speaker 4: when you're writing at you know, three am, and you
- 1:10:59Speaker 4: know you never had to deal with the editing stuff
- 1:11:01Speaker 4: that was that was the real yea.
- 1:11:02Speaker 2: So we hassle everything just back in the paper day.
- 1:11:05Speaker 2: It's not too long ago. We didn't start stop until
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: twenty twenty. But everything would be in and then you'd
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: have to wait for the layout to come back and
- 1:11:15Speaker 2: then you'd have to proofread everything. Yeah, so you're done
- 1:11:17Speaker 2: with your work, but now you have to proofread.
- 1:11:18Speaker 4: It, and I don't know if you know, but like
- 1:11:20Speaker 4: there's a pretty good chance there's going to be typos
- 1:11:22Speaker 4: when you're like on a bus or on a plane.
- 1:11:24Speaker 4: Oh I you know, so, like the editing process was extensive, so.
- 1:11:29Speaker 2: We hired a proofreader and he was terrible.
- 1:11:31Speaker 4: Oh god, oh yeah, that one guy.
- 1:11:33Speaker 3: Yeah, usually on the on the when you're on the road,
- 1:11:36Speaker 3: you know, we go right to the locker room and
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: then we go right to the bus. So I'm typing
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: on on the bus and I usually hit published or
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: tell Christopher to hit published, as the plane is like
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: tilting up off the runway.
- 1:11:48Speaker 4: So you get a chance to like travel back home
- 1:11:51Speaker 4: knowing you're done.
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: It's great.
- 1:11:53Speaker 2: Yes, we never never had that that We had another
- 1:11:56Speaker 2: you do now we had an eight hour day after
- 1:11:58Speaker 2: the game.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: There's like a legitimate feeling of like just for I
- 1:12:04Speaker 3: guess pressure off relief.
- 1:12:06Speaker 4: Because you always want you know what am I going
- 1:12:08Speaker 4: to write?
- 1:12:08Speaker 2: Write about?
- 1:12:09Speaker 4: What's my angle? Do I have enough support for that angle?
- 1:12:13Speaker 4: And do I have the numbers? Am I gonna have
- 1:12:15Speaker 4: to look through the book? And you know that's trying
- 1:12:17Speaker 4: to make my point.
- 1:12:18Speaker 3: Once you hit published, yeah, you're you're flying on on cloud.
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: And then you know what, you know, what's what time
- 1:12:25Speaker 2: it is? After that, it's bud Light time because it's
- 1:12:27Speaker 2: easy to drink. It's easy to enjoy bud Light, the
- 1:12:29Speaker 2: official beer sponsor of the New England Patriots. But not
- 1:12:32Speaker 2: on the plane. We're not allowed to drink.
- 1:12:33Speaker 4: I was going to say, no one's allowed in the NFL.
- 1:12:36Speaker 2: That's right, Robert writes in uh, he says, thank you
- 1:12:41Speaker 2: Paul for saying it out loud. Let's is not the
- 1:12:44Speaker 2: house that Brady built. The plans were already well underway
- 1:12:47Speaker 2: before Brady was ever drafted. All glory, laud and honor
- 1:12:50Speaker 2: to the goat. But when I heard this phrase during
- 1:12:53Speaker 2: the Hall of Fame ceremony, it rubbed me the wrong way.
- 1:12:56Speaker 2: And Fred one hundred percent agree with you. Purcels does
- 1:12:58Speaker 2: not belong in the Patriot.
- 1:13:00Speaker 4: The this Yeah, the stadium was actually being built right
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: before Tom Ever started.
- 1:13:08Speaker 2: Remember we did the construction. Your book cover would remember
- 1:13:11Speaker 2: Ledsoe and all those guys.
- 1:13:13Speaker 3: That's a legendary picture.
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: Yeah it's a bad picture.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: I love that picture. But we used we used to.
- 1:13:18Speaker 4: Have a lot of fun with those. Fred would would
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: set those up and you know, when we did. You know,
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: when Brady did it with his offensive lineman, he was
- 1:13:25Speaker 4: like the president.
- 1:13:25Speaker 2: And that was a great Have it on my wall.
- 1:13:27Speaker 4: That was a great cover.
- 1:13:28Speaker 2: Too good cover. Ryan from Salem, Oregon rights in three things.
- 1:13:34Speaker 2: He says, One, if Scar was inducted to the Hall
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: of Fame without a fan vote, why don't they do
- 1:13:40Speaker 2: the same for Parcels? He more than deserves to be
- 1:13:43Speaker 2: in the Hall of Fame.
- 1:13:44Speaker 4: Well, they could, it's the cold that could happen.
- 1:13:46Speaker 2: And by the way, we didn't put Scar in Robert Craft.
- 1:13:50Speaker 4: They just put him in. Why don't they just yeah.
- 1:13:52Speaker 2: Contributed, So we couldn't just say, oh, just put Parcels in.
- 1:13:55Speaker 2: Craft would have to say that because he's considered a
- 1:13:59Speaker 2: contribut But right now, by the rules, head coaches and
- 1:14:03Speaker 2: players are considered the same. And like you said, Paul,
- 1:14:06Speaker 2: you'd like to separate that out.
- 1:14:08Speaker 4: I would, yeah, and I think Evan agrees, yeah.
- 1:14:11Speaker 2: Yeah, so yeah, and the Pro Football Hall of Fame
- 1:14:14Speaker 2: coaches obviously are included, and now owners are included, which
- 1:14:20Speaker 2: I don't.
- 1:14:20Speaker 4: Like that, but it's there. Aren't there separate committees that
- 1:14:23Speaker 4: vote on stuff.
- 1:14:24Speaker 2: Are they? But they still go into the same hall.
- 1:14:26Speaker 2: Of Fame.
- 1:14:26Speaker 4: They're in their class.
- 1:14:27Speaker 3: Yeah, but I think there's like a contributor character.
- 1:14:31Speaker 2: Yeah, but one doesn't so I get what you're saying.
- 1:14:33Speaker 2: One doesn't take away from the other. So like here,
- 1:14:36Speaker 2: if you put a head coach and it's going to
- 1:14:37Speaker 2: take the spot of a player.
- 1:14:38Speaker 4: And I'm not, you know, completely well versed on the
- 1:14:43Speaker 4: Hall of you know, the Pro Football Hall of Fame,
- 1:14:44Speaker 4: But I think it's that group of writers, you know
- 1:14:47Speaker 4: that the Peter Kings and you know, and how important
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: are they and they vote and they vote on the
- 1:14:53Speaker 4: actual class of players. I don't think they vote on contributing.
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: That's different.
- 1:14:57Speaker 4: I think that's a whole difference.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: Peter King retired, right, he didn't retire from that.
- 1:15:01Speaker 2: Oh so no, that's my question.
- 1:15:03Speaker 4: Does that means I think Ronnie Borges is still on
- 1:15:06Speaker 4: it and he is he retired? Yeah? Well who was
- 1:15:08Speaker 4: he written for?
- 1:15:09Speaker 2: Well, that doesn't mean he's retired.
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: I think he's retired. Okay.
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: He pitches a lot, yeah, Patriots pop.
- 1:15:15Speaker 4: Well, he runs. I haven't seen much of it from
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: the lately. He and Rick Goslin, who I think is
- 1:15:21Speaker 4: also a member of the committee. Longtime NFL scar from
- 1:15:26Speaker 4: the Dallas Morning News or the Dallas area. They had
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: that talk of fame. I think they called it. I
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: don't know if they still do anything. I used to
- 1:15:34Speaker 4: get a lot of stuff from them. I don't haven't
- 1:15:36Speaker 4: seen it. Maybe they're not doing it anymore.
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: It's boring. How good was Mike Webster?
- 1:15:40Speaker 4: Now there's you know the show, those two, It is
- 1:15:43Speaker 4: the show. You're absolutely right. Those two guys I would
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: put in the category of they they take their their
- 1:15:51Speaker 4: job seriously and they do the research. I kid, and
- 1:15:54Speaker 4: I think Peter King takes it very seriously. I just
- 1:15:57Speaker 4: I think you need to make decisions. Yeah, you know.
- 1:16:00Speaker 4: I don't think that it's good to like split votes. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:16:05Speaker 4: you know, and he does that a lot.
- 1:16:07Speaker 2: Yeh yeah. Number two from Brian, Number forty three at
- 1:16:12Speaker 2: Jersey Mike's is the go to what's a forty three?
- 1:16:14Speaker 4: I think that's the Chipotle chief State, Okay, is it not?
- 1:16:17Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 1:16:18Speaker 2: I have to look that up, look at the app hope.
- 1:16:21Speaker 2: And finally, do you see the defense being more aggressive
- 1:16:24Speaker 2: under Mao than Belichick? More attacking at the line of
- 1:16:27Speaker 2: scrimmage rather than two gapping. Uh?
- 1:16:33Speaker 3: Probably not as much as some people would want. I
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: think that they're going to try to keep the bones
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: pretty similar, but they've always fluctuated in year to year
- 1:16:43Speaker 3: of you. Some years they were Cover zero and they
- 1:16:47Speaker 3: were coming at you, and in other years they were
- 1:16:49Speaker 3: ben don't break. So it was really just about the
- 1:16:51Speaker 3: personnel and how they've felt like it was the best
- 1:16:53Speaker 3: way to utilize the personnel. I mean, twenty nineteen, they
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: couldn't have been more aggressive, and the Boogeyman defence was
- 1:17:01Speaker 3: led the league, and Cover zero led the league in
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: Blitzer right like they were up there and everything. Then
- 1:17:05Speaker 3: you go back to the Patricia years and it was
- 1:17:08Speaker 3: get into the red zone and then you you know,
- 1:17:10Speaker 3: keep them out of the end zone type of thing.
- 1:17:12Speaker 3: So I think it will probably be still pretty situational,
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: you know, game plan oriented.
- 1:17:17Speaker 4: Yeah, the forty three is the Chappoli state.
- 1:17:20Speaker 2: Oh there you go.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: It's fantastic.
- 1:17:21Speaker 2: Wow, good sandwich, Kevin and Dublin as as soon to
- 1:17:25Speaker 2: be homeowner. Congratulations Kevin. I'll soon be buying a television,
- 1:17:29Speaker 2: and I'm on the fence about the size of the
- 1:17:31Speaker 2: television versus the room. I know I shouldn't be getting
- 1:17:34Speaker 2: anything too big, but I'm afraid I can't help myself.
- 1:17:37Speaker 2: What are your guys' thoughts on the TV side versus
- 1:17:39Speaker 2: the room size? Does it matter? I think it does.
- 1:17:42Speaker 2: I think if you're like really close to a sixty
- 1:17:44Speaker 2: five inch TV, you're kind of killing. It's not good
- 1:17:48Speaker 2: for you. Probably what are you in.
- 1:17:51Speaker 4: Nineteen sixty eight? Don't sit so close to the TV.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: I really cancer.
- 1:17:56Speaker 4: But I would say it would probably be hard to
- 1:17:59Speaker 4: like see the breath of the breath of the screen
- 1:18:02Speaker 4: if you're up close. But I'm going to defer to
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: I assume you have thoughts on this technology, right, I.
- 1:18:08Speaker 3: Mean personally, I feel like you don't need anything bigger
- 1:18:11Speaker 3: than the seventy inch TV.
- 1:18:13Speaker 2: That's a pretty big TV. If you if you're no
- 1:18:15Speaker 2: bigger than the seventy that's a huge TV.
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: That was that was very friend cursed.
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: If you're if you're going above seventy, then you're just
- 1:18:21Speaker 3: you're just you're doing it.
- 1:18:22Speaker 6: The correct answer is fifty five to sixty inches, that's
- 1:18:25Speaker 6: all you need.
- 1:18:25Speaker 4: But what about the size of the room. See that's
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: where I was at.
- 1:18:28Speaker 2: Is there a race? Yeah, there's something online where you
- 1:18:31Speaker 2: can say TV to room ratio. I'm sure the right size.
- 1:18:35Speaker 3: I think we have like a sixty or sixty five
- 1:18:38Speaker 3: in that range. Yeah, and we're not We're in an apartment,
- 1:18:41Speaker 3: so we're not far away. But it's it's a it's
- 1:18:44Speaker 3: a nice size.
- 1:18:44Speaker 2: I have a you know, it's not a big room.
- 1:18:47Speaker 2: I call it the selarium because there's like French doors.
- 1:18:51Speaker 2: But there was like there's like a little built in
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: book bookshelf. So I took all the shelves out and
- 1:18:57Speaker 2: a fifty five inch fit perfectly into it.
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: You got rid of all those books and replaced it
- 1:19:03Speaker 4: with the TV.
- 1:19:04Speaker 2: I mean, you know, my guy Fred, that's the books
- 1:19:07Speaker 2: are underneath. But no, but it was just it was
- 1:19:10Speaker 2: just like made for a fifty five inch TV, and
- 1:19:13Speaker 2: to me, that's plenty big. Yeah.
- 1:19:16Speaker 4: I have downstairs. I have a small split split level downstairs.
- 1:19:21Speaker 4: I think I have a sixty five. So the room
- 1:19:23Speaker 4: is decent size, so you can it's perfect in depth.
- 1:19:27Speaker 4: And I don't watch that TV. We used to watch
- 1:19:30Speaker 4: TV down there all the time, and since we redid
- 1:19:33Speaker 4: the upstairs part, I almost never watched down there. That
- 1:19:35Speaker 4: TV is so much better than any other TV in
- 1:19:38Speaker 4: the house, and I feel like I've wasted it. Yeah,
- 1:19:40Speaker 4: because for like the last five years. I haven't really.
- 1:19:43Speaker 2: Well, the TVs now are amazing. Like remember, you know
- 1:19:46Speaker 2: you can get a big screen, but when you got close
- 1:19:48Speaker 2: to it, it would be distorted.
- 1:19:49Speaker 4: Now, yeah, they don't do that.
- 1:19:50Speaker 2: You go close and it's just as crisp as if
- 1:19:53Speaker 2: you're further away.
- 1:19:53Speaker 6: Here's what the Google machine says. The distance between the
- 1:19:56Speaker 6: TV and the viewer should be at least one point
- 1:19:59Speaker 6: five times the diagonal screen size of the TV. For example,
- 1:20:03Speaker 6: if you have a fifty five inch TV, the minimum
- 1:20:05Speaker 6: viewing distance should be eighty two inches minimum minimum six
- 1:20:10Speaker 6: point eight feet.
- 1:20:11Speaker 2: So extrapolate that with the size of your room.
- 1:20:14Speaker 3: I figured there was a formula out there.
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: I did not know it, So so say seven feet.
- 1:20:21Speaker 4: It doesn't seem like that far.
- 1:20:23Speaker 2: Yeah, well no, but if you have a bigger room,
- 1:20:25Speaker 2: you're going to be further than seven feet, So then
- 1:20:27Speaker 2: TV grows, you know, relatively.
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: I'm trying to think like the size of my room. Now,
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: am I doing it wrong?
- 1:20:38Speaker 2: Jack and and Abba. Although I am a scientist and
- 1:20:41Speaker 2: believer firmly in the validity and benefits of science, I
- 1:20:45Speaker 2: oppose the use of robot umpires and baseball. Part of
- 1:20:48Speaker 2: the romance of baseball is the human element of umpires,
- 1:20:51Speaker 2: who have variable strike zones to which both batters and
- 1:20:54Speaker 2: pictures must adjust, and who are humanly fallible so that
- 1:20:58Speaker 2: occasionally they make an ink correct call on an extremely
- 1:21:01Speaker 2: close play. What is remarkable is that, out of the
- 1:21:04Speaker 2: thousands and thousands of calls made each baseball season, the
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: yumps make the correct call nine to nine percent of
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: the time. Finally, to whom will an enraged manager argue
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: when he dislikes a call made by a robot? Arguments
- 1:21:17Speaker 2: between managers and umpires are a classic part of baseball.
- 1:21:20Speaker 2: Don't ruin baseball by using robot umpires?
- 1:21:23Speaker 3: Well, maybe you'll argue with the robot.
- 1:21:26Speaker 2: I think I don't fall for that argument. I mean,
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: he just said that there's going to be a call
- 1:21:31Speaker 2: in a crucial time that they get it wrong. Why
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: do we want to put up with that?
- 1:21:36Speaker 4: I think it's arguab and it's sort of like, how
- 1:21:40Speaker 4: do you respond to that? Is also a part of them.
- 1:21:42Speaker 2: But I think, like you know, out calls, you still
- 1:21:45Speaker 2: need the umps out there for those. But I'm just
- 1:21:47Speaker 2: talking balls and strikes.
- 1:21:49Speaker 4: Yeah, I agree, So why why are you not taking
- 1:21:51Speaker 4: it to the next Like I that's what I would do, yeah,
- 1:21:54Speaker 4: but why are you not taking it the next step?
- 1:21:56Speaker 4: Why don't you just have every every play at every basis.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: Just well, now you have to have like chips and
- 1:22:01Speaker 2: players uniformed like I don't know how you clean that.
- 1:22:05Speaker 4: Well.
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: They have replay and that's fine.
- 1:22:07Speaker 4: I know, but you can only use it a couple
- 1:22:09Speaker 4: of times. Just make a recall. I mean, after all,
- 1:22:12Speaker 4: the goal is to get it right, which.
- 1:22:14Speaker 2: I can't stand that you don't want to get it
- 1:22:16Speaker 2: right because they don't get it right?
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: Is my point. Let me ask you something. Do you
- 1:22:21Speaker 4: think do you think the guy for the Eagles he
- 1:22:23Speaker 4: won't remember you will. Do you think the guy and
- 1:22:26Speaker 4: the Eagles? Do you think that was a touchdown? Okay,
- 1:22:29Speaker 4: I do? Did they get it right? He would say no.
- 1:22:32Speaker 4: I would say yes, so they haven't solved we just
- 1:22:35Speaker 4: want to get it right problem.
- 1:22:36Speaker 3: It doesn't surprise me at all, and I get that.
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: But you know what point, let's reverse. Let's say that
- 1:22:42Speaker 4: you think it was a catch and I think it wasn't.
- 1:22:45Speaker 4: They haven't solved the problem. They haven't solved that problem,
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: but it was one person's opinion. That's why I changed.
- 1:22:50Speaker 2: Because there is still subjectivity in some of those replays.
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: But with balls and strikes, there doesn't need to be
- 1:22:55Speaker 2: any subjectivity. It's either it's a ball or a strike.
- 1:23:00Speaker 2: That's it, and you're gonna have three reviews per game.
- 1:23:03Speaker 4: I think there is.
- 1:23:04Speaker 2: Well again, if there's a final arbiter and it's and
- 1:23:08Speaker 2: it's automated, then just use it all the time.
- 1:23:10Speaker 4: See, I think that your tennis argument is black and white.
- 1:23:15Speaker 4: It's either on the line or it's either in or out.
- 1:23:18Speaker 4: I don't think that balls and strikes are that.
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: No it is. It's either the strike zone or it's out.
- 1:23:23Speaker 4: But I don't think that you could do that for
- 1:23:25Speaker 4: for like inside and outside the plate, like it's either
- 1:23:28Speaker 4: on or off the plate. That I can say. But
- 1:23:30Speaker 4: I don't think the height is. I don't think that
- 1:23:33Speaker 4: it is. If I don't think that's a finite seat,
- 1:23:35Speaker 4: Like this is a strike, no it is, this is
- 1:23:37Speaker 4: a ball. I don't think it's like that.
- 1:23:39Speaker 2: In base it can be because it's what I'm saying,
- 1:23:41Speaker 2: you customized to the person when you come in there.
- 1:23:45Speaker 2: The the whatever it is that you know determines the
- 1:23:49Speaker 2: strike zone is the changes depending on whether it's Paul
- 1:23:53Speaker 2: or Evan up and that's it. It's either in or
- 1:23:56Speaker 2: out weeper. It's either in or out.
- 1:23:58Speaker 3: The sweeper, which is watch the outside of the time.
- 1:24:01Speaker 3: I'm fine, call it whatever you want to. But a
- 1:24:04Speaker 3: sweeper back in my day was called a slurf. Well,
- 1:24:07Speaker 3: and now we call it a sweeper.
- 1:24:08Speaker 2: Well, back back in my day, it's either it's either
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: sinker or a curveball. That's it.
- 1:24:12Speaker 3: Well, we called it a slurf.
- 1:24:15Speaker 2: Now it's a sweeper, whatever, slider, slider, And it all
- 1:24:20Speaker 2: comes down to arming and every time somebody throws a
- 1:24:23Speaker 2: break slot armslought sweeper.
- 1:24:26Speaker 3: Sweeper kind of looked like a curveball to me.
- 1:24:29Speaker 2: I don't know. Ethan from Vermont in the spirit of
- 1:24:32Speaker 2: Jaws being released forty nine years ago today forty nine
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: years ago to what do they get next?
- 1:24:39Speaker 4: That's why Deuce is off.
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: So it's six five is the fiftieth anniversary of Jaws. Okay,
- 1:24:47Speaker 2: so what are you going to what are you gonna
- 1:24:48Speaker 2: do for that? You're gonna come in with it.
- 1:24:51Speaker 4: I'm going to assume I'm going to be in the
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: new studio when we're doing the show.
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: I know, but like, are you going to celebrate it
- 1:24:56Speaker 2: at all? Well?
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: Yeah, if du gets something going. I would I would
- 1:25:01Speaker 4: support it.
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: What are the new movies that you're excited with thee
- 1:25:04Speaker 2: to see? For me, I'm excited about Deadpool three. I
- 1:25:08Speaker 2: know the Marvel movies aren't everyone's favorite, but maybe Matt
- 1:25:11Speaker 2: will share my excitement.
- 1:25:13Speaker 6: I do, But get the title right. It's Deadpool and Wolverine,
- 1:25:15Speaker 6: not Deadpool three.
- 1:25:16Speaker 2: Come on, that's true.
- 1:25:17Speaker 10: It is.
- 1:25:17Speaker 4: Yeah, you guys, I mean, you guys are all fans
- 1:25:20Speaker 4: of those movies. Sure, I'm the only.
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: One that's the Deadpool movies are not Marvel. I'm getting
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: a little tired of I haven't done this whole multiverse
- 1:25:29Speaker 2: and all that. It's like there's no guardrails, there's no rules.
- 1:25:31Speaker 3: I haven't seen anything since.
- 1:25:33Speaker 2: So you're not to worry about anybody dying because with
- 1:25:35Speaker 2: the multiverse, it can come back.
- 1:25:37Speaker 3: Yeah. I don't know.
- 1:25:37Speaker 2: I'm not a fan. You know, the multiverse takes away
- 1:25:41Speaker 2: the rules. You have to have rules.
- 1:25:42Speaker 5: Chris Evans is coming back.
- 1:25:43Speaker 4: I would love to make fun of my comment, but
- 1:25:45Speaker 4: I can.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: Vampires are powerful, but if you get the steak in
- 1:25:47Speaker 2: the heart, they die. So there's rules, you know.
- 1:25:50Speaker 3: I grew engagement.
- 1:25:52Speaker 4: Yeah, we go in and we operate under a certain
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: premise that this is silly. Yeah, and now you just
- 1:25:58Speaker 4: take it to the theater of the absurd, like there
- 1:26:00Speaker 4: are no rules, right, Like I kind of agree with
- 1:26:02Speaker 4: you on that.
- 1:26:03Speaker 3: I also just I know you just might be unpopular.
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: But all the Star Wars stuff, it's.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: Okay, Yeah, it's I mean a lot of people are
- 1:26:13Speaker 2: criticizing Acolyte. I've seen the first two episodes. I thought
- 1:26:16Speaker 2: it was okay.
- 1:26:17Speaker 3: It's just it was okay. It's just hard to keep
- 1:26:19Speaker 3: up with all of it.
- 1:26:20Speaker 4: There's just too many questions for you. Yeah, are there
- 1:26:23Speaker 4: any any of the movies which I don't know, is
- 1:26:26Speaker 4: there's six of them? Nine? Any of the knowin that
- 1:26:31Speaker 4: you didn't like that you like flat out thought were bad.
- 1:26:34Speaker 2: Well, there were parts of some that I thought were bad.
- 1:26:36Speaker 4: Matt Morrell, if you can hear me.
- 1:26:37Speaker 6: I actually agree with Fred, Like the casino scene in
- 1:26:40Speaker 6: the Last Jedi just didn't need to exist.
- 1:26:42Speaker 2: Yeah, Like what was that all about?
- 1:26:43Speaker 4: But neither one of you will go so far as
- 1:26:45Speaker 4: to say The Force Awakens was terrible. I just threw
- 1:26:51Speaker 4: that one out there because I knew that the Last.
- 1:26:54Speaker 6: The Last Jedi is what everybody is the Last.
- 1:26:56Speaker 3: Jedi is the last one, right, Matt?
- 1:26:58Speaker 2: That one?
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: Yeah, that one was trash.
- 1:27:01Speaker 2: I actually enjoyed the least crash according to and I'm
- 1:27:05Speaker 2: look forward to the podcast with Matt and Evan on
- 1:27:07Speaker 2: that one.
- 1:27:07Speaker 3: I'm like, as big of a star Wars nerd as everybody,
- 1:27:10Speaker 3: but trust me, but I like that. I just felt like,
- 1:27:12Speaker 3: was it was not a good movie.
- 1:27:15Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:27:15Speaker 3: I sitting there in the theater and then like Palpatine
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: comes back and like, I'm like, what is going on? Yeah,
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: like this is just crazy. But Force Awakens was objectively.
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: It's sort of like he gets it, like a disappointed
- 1:27:28Speaker 4: look on his face. It's hard to be so hard
- 1:27:31Speaker 4: to defend that one.
- 1:27:32Speaker 6: Yeah, the Acolyte retconned all the the new movies anyway,
- 1:27:36Speaker 6: so we're good.
- 1:27:36Speaker 2: Okay, what does he What does that mean? I don't know.
- 1:27:39Speaker 6: They basically erased the history of what it meant with
- 1:27:41Speaker 6: Palpatine and Anakin. How so, lesbian space, which is are
- 1:27:46Speaker 6: using the Force to make babies?
- 1:27:47Speaker 2: Now, lets me in space, which is are using the
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: Force to make babies?
- 1:27:51Speaker 3: This is what I'm talking about. It's just too much,
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: like I just I just want to watch the original
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: three and I'm just gonna keep watching those for the
- 1:27:59Speaker 3: rest of.
- 1:27:59Speaker 5: The Watch three Friend Watch episode three.
- 1:28:01Speaker 2: Oh I haven't seen three Okay, all right, okay, I
- 1:28:05Speaker 2: mean we're all in trouble. Sure we can do that.
- 1:28:07Speaker 4: Then on the message boards, you know, yeah lesbian.
- 1:28:10Speaker 3: Well, you know, it's funny because when I was a kid,
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: when Phantom Menace came out, that was my first Star
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: Wars movie that came out when I was alive, and
- 1:28:18Speaker 3: everybody trashed it, trashed it. Now, yeah, it's like hell,
- 1:28:23Speaker 3: it's like, oh no, Phantom Menace was amazing, Like this
- 1:28:26Speaker 3: is you know, all of a sudden, Is that amazing?
- 1:28:28Speaker 2: It was good. It wasn't great. Yeah, it was good.
- 1:28:32Speaker 4: I didn't see any of those.
- 1:28:33Speaker 3: The dialogue stinks in all all of them, but especially
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: that one. But the last you know hour or so,
- 1:28:40Speaker 3: like the Darth Maul duel and the whole battle at
- 1:28:43Speaker 3: the end of Phantom Menace is the.
- 1:28:45Speaker 4: One that he made the intern stand in line await
- 1:28:47Speaker 4: for tickets.
- 1:28:47Speaker 2: No, but that is the one where I was a
- 1:28:49Speaker 2: hero in the movie theater, And I'll tell you how
- 1:28:52Speaker 2: I went. I went on like the Jedi. I don't
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: know if it was opening day or the first week
- 1:28:57Speaker 2: was out went to a matinee. You know what's sonny out.
- 1:29:01Speaker 2: We're in the theater and we're watching the movie and
- 1:29:04Speaker 2: this asshole and I'll say it, you know, besides that,
- 1:29:08Speaker 2: besides that, not only am I going to take a
- 1:29:10Speaker 2: call during the movie, I'm going to go to the
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: back edge the door and prop it open and hang
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: out by the door with the light coming in. So
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: like a minute goes by, he's still there, fine, and
- 1:29:22Speaker 2: everyone's I get up and I go down there and
- 1:29:26Speaker 2: I said, you're either in or out, and he didn't
- 1:29:29Speaker 2: know what to say, and I shut the door and
- 1:29:31Speaker 2: locked him out, and everybody applauded. I was I was
- 1:29:34Speaker 2: a hero for that movie.
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: And then no one could figure out, you know, how
- 1:29:38Speaker 4: to pick up the plot.
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: But it had to be done this this guy, well, like,
- 1:29:43Speaker 2: what kind of idiot does that?
- 1:29:44Speaker 4: That's that's over the top.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: Like if you have to go out to the lobby,
- 1:29:47Speaker 2: that's over the you don't go and prop the door
- 1:29:50Speaker 2: open with the light coming in.
- 1:29:51Speaker 3: And I'm to understand that at that point just answered
- 1:29:53Speaker 3: the call in the theater without propping the door open.
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: So which of the star Wars was the one that
- 1:29:58Speaker 4: because before I was working for you. So, which was
- 1:30:01Speaker 4: the one that you made the interurn go wait in
- 1:30:02Speaker 4: line for you guys?
- 1:30:04Speaker 2: I don't know, so no, so let's let's put a
- 1:30:08Speaker 2: time on him. We were in Walpole, so it was
- 1:30:11Speaker 2: before must no, no, no, we were at the fect Yeah,
- 1:30:15Speaker 2: we were at the horse track. Yeah, so that was
- 1:30:18Speaker 2: This was a story I heard when I started, like,
- 1:30:20Speaker 2: you know, that was nineteen ninety nine.
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: Okay, Well, which one was that?
- 1:30:24Speaker 2: Oh? That was Phantom Okay, so then I was a
- 1:30:26Speaker 2: hero and another one.
- 1:30:28Speaker 6: The Clone Wars came out in Attack of the Clones
- 1:30:30Speaker 6: I'm sorry, came out in twenty twenty two two.
- 1:30:34Speaker 2: All right, my years?
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: Yeah, no, all right, good stuff. Everybody thinks it's amazing now,
- 1:30:40Speaker 3: I don't know. When I was a kid, everybody trashed it.
- 1:30:42Speaker 2: The Phantom Menace. Yeah, I think they liked the guy
- 1:30:45Speaker 2: with the red face and the dual Yeah, the dual
- 1:30:49Speaker 2: lightsaf He was fantastic, good character. But he dies, he doesn't,
- 1:30:54Speaker 2: Oh he doesn't.
- 1:30:55Speaker 3: He comes back.
- 1:30:55Speaker 2: He comes back.
- 1:30:56Speaker 5: He's got spider legs.
- 1:30:57Speaker 4: Now you upset about that?
- 1:30:59Speaker 2: Is he he's in the Acolyte Well no, he comes
- 1:31:02Speaker 2: back in uh solo.
- 1:31:05Speaker 3: Originally I believe.
- 1:31:07Speaker 5: And he's also in the Clone Wars the show.
- 1:31:10Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, the Clone Wars. I'm not into the animation ones.
- 1:31:13Speaker 3: So he got you know, the movie Solo that was
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: just so he comes. At the end of that they
- 1:31:20Speaker 3: reveal that Darth Maul somehow Jedi Mind tricked his way
- 1:31:24Speaker 3: back to life.
- 1:31:24Speaker 2: Oh okay, I miss that. Anthony writes in the Welker
- 1:31:29Speaker 2: disrespect is so infurior infuriating to me, and I fear
- 1:31:33Speaker 2: he will never get into the Hall. The drop he
- 1:31:36Speaker 2: has any quotes will forever overshadow what was in an
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: almost unmatched career as a Patriot receiver. In the mind
- 1:31:42Speaker 2: of too many idiots, Edelman was great and should be
- 1:31:45Speaker 2: in the Patriots Hall, and Welker was even better. Do
- 1:31:47Speaker 2: you think they will wait to put parcels in posthumously, well,
- 1:31:52Speaker 2: posthumously posthumously.
- 1:31:54Speaker 4: I don't know about the last part, but I think
- 1:31:57Speaker 4: he's right. I think Edelman will get in. And if Edelman,
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: you know, Edlmind's going to be up, He's going in.
- 1:32:03Speaker 2: Oh yeah, yeah, right away.
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: And I do. I have some concerns, and it's this
- 1:32:09Speaker 4: isn't you know. I usually am critical of the fans
- 1:32:11Speaker 4: on these things because I think they sort of get
- 1:32:14Speaker 4: a little bit like they take it personal that he
- 1:32:19Speaker 4: didn't catch that pass against the Giants. But this has
- 1:32:22Speaker 4: nothing to do with the fans, right, nothing, Right. He
- 1:32:25Speaker 4: can't even get on the ballot, can't. I can't get
- 1:32:27Speaker 4: him on the ballot. Ye, Stacy. James called me after
- 1:32:30Speaker 4: the meeting too, the first time, to thank me for
- 1:32:35Speaker 4: doing it and to apologize that no one, no one
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: shared my view. He came in forth both times.
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: Wow. Max writes in from Santa Barbara. I really enjoy
- 1:32:46Speaker 2: when Fred and Paul poke at each other.
- 1:32:47Speaker 4: So do I.
- 1:32:48Speaker 2: I'm with Fred on parcels he was busy negotiating with
- 1:32:51Speaker 2: the Jets instead of getting the team ready for the
- 1:32:53Speaker 2: Super Bowl. I'm with Paul that Gillette is the house
- 1:32:56Speaker 2: Drew built, but Brady furnished it. Great show is as
- 1:33:01Speaker 2: John Lennon once said, shine on, Yeah, that's true.
- 1:33:05Speaker 4: He did buy the furniture rock solid email.
- 1:33:07Speaker 3: Yeah he did the deck bops Yeah not the other place.
- 1:33:11Speaker 4: Well another store, Paul, Uh.
- 1:33:15Speaker 2: This is Adam from Louisiana. The guy was right. I
- 1:33:17Speaker 2: got the Toro Electric push mower and I always have
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: a small patch left in my backyard. I have a
- 1:33:23Speaker 2: one third acre lot. They claimed it can cut a
- 1:33:25Speaker 2: half acre on one charge. The biggest factor I find
- 1:33:28Speaker 2: is how tall the grass is. In South Louisiana, we
- 1:33:31Speaker 2: get a lot of rain and the grass grows like crazy,
- 1:33:34Speaker 2: so it's almost twice weekly we have to cut it.
- 1:33:36Speaker 2: The Milwaukee Electric has good reviews. I'm tempted to buy it.
- 1:33:40Speaker 4: So when you you know, just I'm curious on your
- 1:33:43Speaker 4: your your methods, your technique. Yeah, are you a go
- 1:33:49Speaker 4: down a strip, back bound the same strip and then
- 1:33:51Speaker 4: go the next one? Or do you go down and
- 1:33:54Speaker 4: then come back? Well, no, he has the stiff.
- 1:33:58Speaker 2: So the sniff I do is I do the boundaries,
- 1:34:01Speaker 2: so I have a turn radius no matter where I am,
- 1:34:04Speaker 2: and then I go up and back up and back up.
- 1:34:06Speaker 4: But do you like repeat the same like so swath
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: and then come back the same swath and then go
- 1:34:12Speaker 4: oh no, so you go up and then back?
- 1:34:14Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, I mean you're doubling your time if you
- 1:34:17Speaker 2: repeat what you do.
- 1:34:18Speaker 3: Around the perimeter and then.
- 1:34:20Speaker 2: But better cut.
- 1:34:22Speaker 4: My next door neighbor makes fun of me all the time.
- 1:34:25Speaker 4: You do it, double the work?
- 1:34:26Speaker 2: I go, Well, what I do? What I do is
- 1:34:30Speaker 2: I look at my look at what I do. Though
- 1:34:33Speaker 2: on alternate days, if I go one way, I'll go there.
- 1:34:37Speaker 4: Do that all the time. That's just for my own enjoyment.
- 1:34:40Speaker 4: Now I'm like Joe Mooney.
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: So one time, one time I this is not in
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: my current place, but the house before. I said, you
- 1:34:47Speaker 2: know what, I'm going to do circular. So I went
- 1:34:49Speaker 2: around and I kept and at the end of the
- 1:34:52Speaker 2: mowing the lawn, my neck hurt because I was looking.
- 1:34:55Speaker 4: That's the frontest thing ever I was looking.
- 1:34:58Speaker 2: I was looking, you know, right the whole and my
- 1:35:00Speaker 2: neck hurt from doing circular.
- 1:35:02Speaker 3: Well, that's the way you described it first, is how
- 1:35:05Speaker 3: they do Zamboni's do the ice. Yeah, I'm very fascinated
- 1:35:09Speaker 3: by Zamboni.
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: Yeah, I used to be. Not anymore. Now it's like,
- 1:35:12Speaker 2: get them out of there. It takes too long.
- 1:35:15Speaker 4: I mean, it's like they're not even doing it.
- 1:35:16Speaker 2: Is it time to upgrade that technology? By the way,
- 1:35:19Speaker 2: how do you do that? I don't know, but they
- 1:35:21Speaker 2: it seems like they've been using the same device for
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: that forever. Yeah, you know, like, is there a faster
- 1:35:27Speaker 2: way and a more efficient way to.
- 1:35:28Speaker 4: They put two out of the time.
- 1:35:32Speaker 3: At the garden.
- 1:35:33Speaker 6: There should probably be some device that comes from the
- 1:35:35Speaker 6: ceiling one straight across the ice. It just goes from
- 1:35:37Speaker 6: one end to the other right like a.
- 1:35:39Speaker 5: That could be the new invention.
- 1:35:40Speaker 2: Something like that. Yeah. I don't go to a lot
- 1:35:43Speaker 2: of Bruins games, but I went to one last year
- 1:35:46Speaker 2: and I didn't realize how like show Offye those ice
- 1:35:51Speaker 2: people are ye that take care of the ice. They're
- 1:35:54Speaker 2: all around and you know, doing their toe drag stops
- 1:35:57Speaker 2: and everything like that.
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: One guy that comes flying out out going backwards, what
- 1:36:01Speaker 4: would be.
- 1:36:02Speaker 3: Like that is? Oh yeah, if is on there, he'd
- 1:36:05Speaker 3: be doing.
- 1:36:06Speaker 2: But they all love to that's their time to shine.
- 1:36:08Speaker 2: They go out there and they show off their skating.
- 1:36:11Speaker 2: I think hard. Yeah, absolutely, I find it very But
- 1:36:17Speaker 2: you don't see that on TV.
- 1:36:18Speaker 4: Know you gotta be that.
- 1:36:20Speaker 2: What's that?
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: Find it very soothing to watch the Zamboni intermission?
- 1:36:24Speaker 2: Strange what do they call that? Strangely satisfying?
- 1:36:27Speaker 4: Things like that? What's the as? Yeah? Mr?
- 1:36:32Speaker 2: The sound, Mr.
- 1:36:34Speaker 4: You got it. It's one of those like I mean,
- 1:36:36Speaker 4: I know it's not sound just kind of puts you
- 1:36:38Speaker 4: in a place.
- 1:36:39Speaker 3: It is fascinating the difference between going to a Bruins
- 1:36:43Speaker 3: game and going to a Celtics game could not be
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: more different.
- 1:36:48Speaker 2: So let me ask you a question. Yeah, we all agree.
- 1:36:50Speaker 2: I guess I think that lawnmower moment your lawn is
- 1:36:55Speaker 2: is pleasing. There's a certain satisfaction of doing open Why
- 1:37:01Speaker 2: don't Why don't men feel the same way about vacuuming.
- 1:37:05Speaker 4: I don't hate vacuuming, but I don't do it like
- 1:37:09Speaker 4: I do mowing.
- 1:37:10Speaker 2: A long Yeah. Maybe because you don't see it as much.
- 1:37:13Speaker 2: You don't get to the results as much.
- 1:37:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but you don't pop open a beer and show
- 1:37:18Speaker 4: it off.
- 1:37:19Speaker 2: But the way I look at it is like I
- 1:37:22Speaker 2: don't mind vacuuming, although I don't do it as much
- 1:37:25Speaker 2: as I should, But like there, to me, it's like
- 1:37:28Speaker 2: kind of the same satisfaction, Like all this stuff is
- 1:37:31Speaker 2: gone now I got rid of it, And taking the
- 1:37:33Speaker 2: garbage out is another thing. I'm I'm removing my house
- 1:37:37Speaker 2: of all this stuff and somebody is gonna take it away,
- 1:37:40Speaker 2: and I like it. I like the thought of that.
- 1:37:42Speaker 4: Yeah, it is just frightening how similar we can be
- 1:37:46Speaker 4: on random things. It's not so much like getting rid
- 1:37:48Speaker 4: of it, like taking it out, but like, especially if
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: I had a particularly you know, heavy trash. Yeah, yeah,
- 1:37:55Speaker 4: you know, if we had a party or something. I
- 1:37:57Speaker 4: love watching when they come. Yeah, and then they take
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: it and I'm like, yeah, right, they took that back.
- 1:38:05Speaker 4: You know, they can't the fact that I get two
- 1:38:07Speaker 4: hands to get out there. They took because sometimes it's gone.
- 1:38:10Speaker 4: You never know like this, there's restrictions depending on where
- 1:38:13Speaker 4: you are, and like in my in my city, they
- 1:38:15Speaker 4: recently changed companies, and every once in a while they
- 1:38:19Speaker 4: won't take something right. So when I know I have
- 1:38:22Speaker 4: like a bunch of crap to get rid of, yea,
- 1:38:24Speaker 4: it is so satisfying to.
- 1:38:26Speaker 2: Actually it's good.
- 1:38:27Speaker 4: I'll turn the corner when I get home from work
- 1:38:28Speaker 4: that day and there's nothing there, and I'm like, oh,
- 1:38:32Speaker 4: that's awesome.
- 1:38:32Speaker 2: When I first moved into the house, like for a while,
- 1:38:36Speaker 2: like the first few weeks, I had a lot of
- 1:38:38Speaker 2: like empty cardboard boxes that were thrown out, and like
- 1:38:41Speaker 2: I was like that every time, Oh they took it.
- 1:38:43Speaker 2: Thank good. One day I get the call from the
- 1:38:45Speaker 2: gut Hey, uh, you know, you're putting out a lot
- 1:38:48Speaker 2: of extra stuff, and like I had to explain that
- 1:38:51Speaker 2: that'll stop eventually.
- 1:38:53Speaker 4: When I'm when I'm done, right, George, trying to get
- 1:38:57Speaker 4: rid of paint lately.
- 1:38:58Speaker 2: Ooh, that's a tough one. Oil the water base. What
- 1:39:01Speaker 2: do you think is easier to get rid of? Well,
- 1:39:04Speaker 2: I would think water based, that's not it isn't why.
- 1:39:06Speaker 4: I don't know. They had a specific day in early
- 1:39:10Speaker 4: June and they it was for oil based paints only,
- 1:39:12Speaker 4: And I'm like, who has oil based paints? Now?
- 1:39:14Speaker 2: Right?
- 1:39:15Speaker 4: You know?
- 1:39:16Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:39:16Speaker 3: Exactly?
- 1:39:17Speaker 4: So, Yeah, I had a lot of old paint from
- 1:39:20Speaker 4: when we first moved in and painted the whole house,
- 1:39:23Speaker 4: and you know, finally, which is because of that, we
- 1:39:26Speaker 4: were like, let's figure out what's good what's not good.
- 1:39:29Speaker 4: I had probably fifteen to twenty different gallons plus two
- 1:39:34Speaker 4: five gallon buckets. Yeah, so I had it all in
- 1:39:37Speaker 4: the garage. It was already to go when that's when
- 1:39:38Speaker 4: we realized it was oil based paints only.
- 1:39:40Speaker 2: Yea.
- 1:39:41Speaker 4: So now I'm like, well I've come too far. I'm
- 1:39:43Speaker 4: getting rid of this so slowly, but surely you know,
- 1:39:46Speaker 4: a couple of gallons.
- 1:39:47Speaker 2: And that's how you do it. That's how you do it.
- 1:39:49Speaker 4: And I mean what you do is I have one
- 1:39:51Speaker 4: five gallon drum left. Everything else is this is what
- 1:39:53Speaker 4: you do if you if you if you're in the
- 1:39:55Speaker 4: same ms. This is when if you're in the same
- 1:39:59Speaker 4: dilemma that part you have a whole bunch of gallons
- 1:40:01Speaker 4: of paint.
- 1:40:01Speaker 2: You need to get rid of it. So you have
- 1:40:03Speaker 2: to be patient. You're not going to do it all
- 1:40:05Speaker 2: at once. But you go to the hardware store and
- 1:40:07Speaker 2: you buy those construction size garbage bags, the big ones,
- 1:40:12Speaker 2: and then two gallons a.
- 1:40:14Speaker 4: Week contractor you put them at home deep you.
- 1:40:17Speaker 2: Put those, you put all your other garbage in there.
- 1:40:19Speaker 2: But you're mixing two gallons at a time, and over
- 1:40:22Speaker 2: time you'll get rid of everything.
- 1:40:24Speaker 4: So you know, if you really want to do it
- 1:40:26Speaker 4: the right way what they tell you to do, because usually,
- 1:40:29Speaker 4: you know, the gallon of paint doesn't have a ton
- 1:40:31Speaker 4: of paint in it. Yeah, maybe it's half or whatever.
- 1:40:34Speaker 4: You put some like kitty litter in it, and it
- 1:40:36Speaker 4: dries it and you can either dispose that and then
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: it's an empty can, right or you know, it sort
- 1:40:45Speaker 4: of dries it up and there's no like, I don't know,
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: environmental threat, I guess because I think that's like the paint.
- 1:40:51Speaker 4: They don't want it all over the place. But I didn't.
- 1:40:54Speaker 4: I didn't really bother do it find a pond and
- 1:40:56Speaker 4: throw it in. I have like I got we did
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: the whole upstairs with the with the same color when
- 1:41:01Speaker 4: we first moved in. So I had a five gallon
- 1:41:03Speaker 4: drum and then a five gallon drum of primer. And
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: the primer is like two thirds full. So it's really heavy.
- 1:41:12Speaker 4: I can't I'm never going to be able to throw
- 1:41:14Speaker 4: that away. Yeah, it's just too heavy. So I don't
- 1:41:16Speaker 4: know what to do with that.
- 1:41:18Speaker 2: I have a contractor bag. It's a big bag. They
- 1:41:20Speaker 2: expect it to be heavy.
- 1:41:21Speaker 4: It's it's too heavy. I'm just telling you it's too heavy.
- 1:41:25Speaker 3: Okay, this is fascinating stuff.
- 1:41:27Speaker 2: All right. I did.
- 1:41:28Speaker 4: I did take a trip near near where I live
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: and I found a dumpster like I was searching for
- 1:41:34Speaker 4: I was searching for dumpsters and I'm looking. I'm like,
- 1:41:37Speaker 4: that's definitely a camera at that one. And I found
- 1:41:41Speaker 4: one that I was pretty you know, knock on wood,
- 1:41:43Speaker 4: I haven't heard anything yet. And it was a contractor bag.
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: It wasn't like I just dumped like paint into that.
- 1:41:49Speaker 4: It was tied up in a contractor bag. I had
- 1:41:51Speaker 4: like four or five.
- 1:41:52Speaker 2: What if you dress up like a homeless person and
- 1:41:56Speaker 2: do it, then leave you alone.
- 1:41:58Speaker 4: It's brilliant. Yeah, it's brilliant.
- 1:42:00Speaker 3: And your in high school. You had to get rid
- 1:42:01Speaker 3: of the booze and go around.
- 1:42:04Speaker 2: You know.
- 1:42:04Speaker 4: That's how I got caught with my party, right, you
- 1:42:06Speaker 4: got you three bags? I had three bags empties on
- 1:42:10Speaker 4: the side of my house. My father comes home, It's like,
- 1:42:13Speaker 4: what's this? He thought he thought rich had a party,
- 1:42:16Speaker 4: and my mother goes, what makes you think it's rich?
- 1:42:19Speaker 4: He's twenty one, he can do whatever.
- 1:42:21Speaker 10: Right.
- 1:42:22Speaker 2: Jordan and Hawaii. I feel like we're in a pretty
- 1:42:25Speaker 2: good off season time now that between camps. So I
- 1:42:29Speaker 2: wanted to revisit Evan's view on Pam from the office.
- 1:42:32Speaker 3: This is really the most popular hot contribution.
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: Yeah, it's to the show right here.
- 1:42:37Speaker 2: And see what everyone else thinks. Personally, I think that
- 1:42:40Speaker 2: Pam is one of the best characters in the show.
- 1:42:43Speaker 2: She follows her heart. She's friendly and a good friend
- 1:42:46Speaker 2: to everyone, including Michael and Dwight. And when it comes
- 1:42:49Speaker 2: to her taking time for herself and following her art dreams,
- 1:42:52Speaker 2: I commend her for that. Now, let's hear this hot take, Evan.
- 1:42:57Speaker 3: I've already said my piece on Pam. I personally think
- 1:43:01Speaker 3: it starts off on a bad foot with her when
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: she emotionally cheats on Roy. And you can think what
- 1:43:07Speaker 3: you want about Roy, but cheating is cheating in my book.
- 1:43:10Speaker 3: Whether he was a good guy or a bad guys,
- 1:43:12Speaker 3: still not good.
- 1:43:14Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: Last time we watched the episode though, where Jim buys
- 1:43:17Speaker 3: his parents' house for them and she like. Her reaction
- 1:43:20Speaker 3: at first is like you think that she hates it,
- 1:43:23Speaker 3: and then like she loves it at the end. It's
- 1:43:25Speaker 3: a wholesome moment. So I'll give her. She's got her moments.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: She got her moments.
- 1:43:30Speaker 2: Let's see Elle writes in Bill, Parcells is a lot
- 1:43:33Speaker 2: like Randy Moss. To me, did awesome things while he
- 1:43:36Speaker 2: was here, but it was short and he made his
- 1:43:38Speaker 2: way out of town. I don't think either should be in,
- 1:43:41Speaker 2: but I think if Parcells goes in, then mass should
- 1:43:43Speaker 2: be a shoeing.
- 1:43:44Speaker 4: I think that's a good argument, that's fair, even though
- 1:43:47Speaker 4: it's against me. I think that's a good argument, like
- 1:43:49Speaker 4: not long enough.
- 1:43:51Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, let's see Bill and Vista California. To correct
- 1:43:57Speaker 2: Matt and Evan the retcon with palp teen. Actually what
- 1:44:01Speaker 2: is what does red Coon mean?
- 1:44:02Speaker 6: It just means they're rewriting the storyline, like the Cannon.
- 1:44:07Speaker 3: Okay, the red Con the original like the source material.
- 1:44:11Speaker 2: What is it? What? But what does red Coon stand for? Like?
- 1:44:13Speaker 2: What is it short for?
- 1:44:15Speaker 5: That's a good question. Let me google it.
- 1:44:17Speaker 4: Okay, getund that. We don't know what mean? Okay, Uh, no,
- 1:44:21Speaker 4: what it means? I just don't know what it stands
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: to work in the business world.
- 1:44:24Speaker 2: The red Coon with it reconstruction, I don't know anyway.
- 1:44:27Speaker 5: The red Con retroactive continuity.
- 1:44:30Speaker 2: Retroactive continuity. Okay, so that makes sense. Yeah, uh with
- 1:44:35Speaker 2: the red Coon with Palpatine actually took place already in
- 1:44:38Speaker 2: the canon Darth Vader comics. It had already established that
- 1:44:41Speaker 2: Palpatine had used the Force to create Anakin. People are
- 1:44:45Speaker 2: just upset about about it. Just to be upset about it.
- 1:44:50Speaker 6: Now, we knew that they used the Force to make Anakin,
- 1:44:52Speaker 6: but they led you to believe that the Emperor was
- 1:44:55Speaker 6: the only one that was able to do that, that
- 1:44:56Speaker 6: he was the only one strong enough with the Force
- 1:44:58Speaker 6: to be able to pregnate Shmi with the Anakin. Now
- 1:45:03Speaker 6: they got these witches under a full moon, Shanning and
- 1:45:05Speaker 6: they could just impregnate everybody there. They they wreckconed what
- 1:45:09Speaker 6: made Anakin special.
- 1:45:12Speaker 3: So, so Anakin is like the baby Jesus.
- 1:45:16Speaker 5: He was supposed to be the baby Jesus.
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: Basically, yes, he.
- 1:45:19Speaker 2: Was.
- 1:45:20Speaker 3: Shmi did not have a significant other and it kind
- 1:45:24Speaker 3: just appeared in her belly. Okay, And based off of
- 1:45:27Speaker 3: the comics that based off the cannon is that the
- 1:45:31Speaker 3: Emperor with the Force was able to.
- 1:45:34Speaker 6: Put I mean, that's all revealed in Rise of Skywalker
- 1:45:36Speaker 6: in the last movie.
- 1:45:37Speaker 3: Was able to impregnate it. Yeah, but I that's I
- 1:45:42Speaker 3: also have like a I'm sorry, like to the email
- 1:45:44Speaker 3: right now. I'm gonna be kind of mean. I have
- 1:45:46Speaker 3: a problem with the people are like, well the comics.
- 1:45:50Speaker 3: Guess what us haven't read the comics. Okay, we all
- 1:45:54Speaker 3: watched the movies because they're awesome, but like we're all
- 1:45:57Speaker 3: not going back to the source material. It's like the
- 1:45:59Speaker 3: same the Game of Thrones. People that are like, well,
- 1:46:01Speaker 3: in the books, It's like, I don't care, really.
- 1:46:04Speaker 4: The book in the movie completely aligned, right and anything. Yeah,
- 1:46:10Speaker 4: I mean a lot of they're based on or whatever.
- 1:46:12Speaker 4: There's always differences, right, Yes, isn't that why so many
- 1:46:14Speaker 4: people say the book was better.
- 1:46:16Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:46:16Speaker 4: To Evan's point, I think the people that generally say
- 1:46:19Speaker 4: that are intellectuals. No, you don't true, because you don't people.
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: You know, I don't lower myself to watch a movie.
- 1:46:25Speaker 2: That's not true. That's not true.
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: I do a lot of people. I think that a
- 1:46:28Speaker 4: lot of times.
- 1:46:29Speaker 2: You are.
- 1:46:30Speaker 4: You are an avid reader. So I would trust your
- 1:46:33Speaker 4: opinion because I know that you're actually reading a lot
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: of these books, and I know you watch a lot
- 1:46:37Speaker 4: of the movies.
- 1:46:38Speaker 2: Right.
- 1:46:38Speaker 3: Game of Thrones, I feel like is a little different
- 1:46:40Speaker 3: because that's like that's a we're talking about.
- 1:46:42Speaker 4: Comics and books. Yeah, right, not the same thing.
- 1:46:46Speaker 5: Donald Sutherland just passed away.
- 1:46:48Speaker 4: Oh we're in a little bit of a run.
- 1:46:50Speaker 2: Yeah. They say it comes in threes. So Willie May's
- 1:46:54Speaker 2: We didn't talk about Willie Mays, by the way, say
- 1:46:56Speaker 2: hey kid, that's ninety three years old. Yeah.
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: Run.
- 1:47:01Speaker 2: When I used to collect baseball cards, and I know
- 1:47:04Speaker 2: everyone's rookie card is tough, but just a normal run,
- 1:47:08Speaker 2: it was tough to get a Willie Mays card.
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: Willie Mays was not in the cards when I was
- 1:47:14Speaker 4: no collect the sixties.
- 1:47:16Speaker 2: You know, when I was a kid, little older than yeah.
- 1:47:20Speaker 4: A little bit. You know, even when he became sixty eight,
- 1:47:23Speaker 4: I wasn't collected.
- 1:47:24Speaker 2: Even when he became a met I couldn't get my
- 1:47:26Speaker 2: hands on a Willie Mays card.
- 1:47:29Speaker 3: What do you think about people that think Willie Mays
- 1:47:31Speaker 3: is the best baseball player?
- 1:47:32Speaker 2: I think it's a valid argument. Yeah, you look at
- 1:47:34Speaker 2: I think you can look at the all the things
- 1:47:36Speaker 2: he did, you know, like they there was a stat
- 1:47:39Speaker 2: recently like he's the only player with three hundred plus
- 1:47:41Speaker 2: one runs, three thousand hits, three hundred stolen base like
- 1:47:45Speaker 2: all these numbers where no one else has all those things.
- 1:47:48Speaker 3: That he played the fifties, right, like fifties, sixties.
- 1:47:51Speaker 2: Well they started in the forties.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: Yeah, so at least he was in the he was
- 1:47:55Speaker 3: past the dead ball, yeah, like fifty one. Obviously black
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: players are allowed to play, but.
- 1:48:00Speaker 2: You know he was in the Negro League in the forties.
- 1:48:02Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, well I was talking major Yeah, but that's
- 1:48:05Speaker 3: a big problem with like no not you know, Ty Cobb, here's.
- 1:48:10Speaker 2: A different time. That's why that's why I still think
- 1:48:12Speaker 2: Babe Ruth is the best because he was hitting the
- 1:48:14Speaker 2: dead ball, you know, sixty homes in the league, that's true.
- 1:48:19Speaker 2: That's true. Yeah, all right, Jeffrey and Canada. I'm glad
- 1:48:24Speaker 2: for you the Celtics won, but please, can we focus
- 1:48:27Speaker 2: on soap washing machines and bad movie sequels. That's what
- 1:48:31Speaker 2: we're doing. We're doing everything.
- 1:48:32Speaker 4: Absolutely, We're here for you.
- 1:48:33Speaker 2: I love the sport of basketball, especially live, but the
- 1:48:36Speaker 2: NBA is a total bore on TV. You watch the
- 1:48:39Speaker 2: first five minutes, in the last five minutes, everything in
- 1:48:41Speaker 2: between is a waste of time. What makes the other
- 1:48:44Speaker 2: sports so much better is the fact anything can happen
- 1:48:46Speaker 2: at a moment's notice. In basketball, the same things just
- 1:48:51Speaker 2: keep happening over and over sports postseason in order of
- 1:48:55Speaker 2: best viewing in his in his opinion, NFL won NHL. Yeah,
- 1:49:00Speaker 2: I should put that in International Soccer three, Major League
- 1:49:03Speaker 2: Baseball four, International Soccer, NBA five, and then sent from
- 1:49:08Speaker 2: my iPhone A six.
- 1:49:10Speaker 4: Okay, yeah, I mean I would actually go NHL one.
- 1:49:15Speaker 4: And I was surprised, being a guy from Canada, that
- 1:49:17Speaker 4: he didn't pick that one.
- 1:49:18Speaker 3: I watched the end of the Oilers Florida game the
- 1:49:21Speaker 3: other night, Game five.
- 1:49:21Speaker 4: You see the play? I mean, I know, I hate,
- 1:49:24Speaker 4: but did you see that play?
- 1:49:25Speaker 2: Yeah?
- 1:49:25Speaker 3: It was a bad call.
- 1:49:26Speaker 4: No, no, no, I'm talking about him saving the goal and.
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, I thought you were talking about Oh that
- 1:49:32Speaker 3: was the thing I was going to say earlier when
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: we were talking about the Sults going down to Miami.
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: That doesn't bother me at all. But apparently Jason Tatum
- 1:49:40Speaker 3: and uh Kochu they went to high school together, I guess,
- 1:49:45Speaker 3: and they were like. Jason Tatum gave him a shout
- 1:49:48Speaker 3: out on Twitter before Game five being like, do what
- 1:49:53Speaker 3: I did you know, finish it off tonight or something
- 1:49:55Speaker 3: that bothered? It didn't bother me, but I know it
- 1:49:57Speaker 3: bothered a lot.
- 1:49:58Speaker 2: Did you see it?
- 1:49:59Speaker 4: You w at the game? I don't know if you
- 1:50:01Speaker 4: went to They had a picture of the two of
- 1:50:03Speaker 4: them on the school bus. Yeah, that was making the Yeah,
- 1:50:06Speaker 4: they showed it in one of the games.
- 1:50:08Speaker 3: I can understand if you're a Bruins fan, I that.
- 1:50:10Speaker 4: I don't like. I don't like kid Shuk. Yeah, I
- 1:50:12Speaker 4: didn't really like his father.
- 1:50:13Speaker 2: To Mike from Arlington now living in New Jersey, gentlemen,
- 1:50:17Speaker 2: please do not do those somewhat illegal in non environmental
- 1:50:21Speaker 2: friendly statements that you've been making, even if they're in
- 1:50:24Speaker 2: jest the correct way is all in jest. The correct
- 1:50:27Speaker 2: way is to go to home depot and by late
- 1:50:29Speaker 2: text paint hardener, mix it into the can. You only
- 1:50:33Speaker 2: need one three dollars hardener package per gallon. Then throw
- 1:50:37Speaker 2: the entire gallon away when the paint has hardened. Okay,
- 1:50:40Speaker 2: how is that any different than throwing it when it's wet.
- 1:50:42Speaker 4: Especially the paint that I'm throwing away isn't wet. It's
- 1:50:47Speaker 4: like twenty five years old.
- 1:50:49Speaker 2: I mean, I don't know.
- 1:50:51Speaker 3: Okay, I don't need to deal with paint.
- 1:50:53Speaker 4: But he's right, that's what you that's what you're supposed
- 1:50:56Speaker 4: that's what you're supposed to do.
- 1:50:57Speaker 5: I got the neighbor that burns everything, stick everything.
- 1:51:01Speaker 4: Now that's now that that's bad. Yeah, that's even even
- 1:51:04Speaker 4: I would say.
- 1:51:04Speaker 2: But I don't, Matt that that must be an awful smell.
- 1:51:09Speaker 6: Is horrible when he does it.
- 1:51:12Speaker 4: It's always the guy that burns the leaves too, and
- 1:51:14Speaker 4: it's up. I don't mind leave, but it ends up
- 1:51:16Speaker 4: with like a blaze.
- 1:51:17Speaker 5: Ashes are coming into my yard.
- 1:51:18Speaker 2: Though when he's doing well, you're not supposed to burn leaves.
- 1:51:20Speaker 2: You can burn brush and stuff, but not leaves, you know,
- 1:51:23Speaker 2: but people burn I burn everything. I got a guy
- 1:51:27Speaker 2: across the street. He's got he's got his main driving paved,
- 1:51:32Speaker 2: but then he's got this back road which is all dirt,
- 1:51:36Speaker 2: and he could He keeps putting down wood ships, and
- 1:51:38Speaker 2: every time it rains, the wood ships just drain right
- 1:51:40Speaker 2: out into the street. He doesn't get it. It's like,
- 1:51:42Speaker 2: it's not gonna work. How many times are you gonna
- 1:51:45Speaker 2: do this? He keeps doing it, and it keeps just
- 1:51:49Speaker 2: running right out. It's just keep it dirt or painting
- 1:51:53Speaker 2: something sounds like but like first time, first time you
- 1:51:58Speaker 2: look at it, Oh, that didn't work, and you don't
- 1:52:00Speaker 2: do it again. He keeps doing it.
- 1:52:07Speaker 4: Let's see it don't ever change?
- 1:52:08Speaker 2: Ready, Dan in Virginia In Michigan, I wanted to respond
- 1:52:12Speaker 2: to Fred's comment about men not taking satisfaction in vacuuming.
- 1:52:16Speaker 2: One time, after vacuuming, I realized I could really tell
- 1:52:19Speaker 2: the difference between before vacuuming and after. I also realized
- 1:52:24Speaker 2: that on some level I appreciated that. Right after that,
- 1:52:27Speaker 2: I realized that I had indeed reached the lame boring
- 1:52:30Speaker 2: part of adulthood. Have you all had a similar moment?
- 1:52:33Speaker 2: And so what was that moment?
- 1:52:35Speaker 3: Too many of the because I you know, you're over thirty.
- 1:52:39Speaker 3: It's downhill from here.
- 1:52:41Speaker 2: By the way. The whole vacuum, that's a discussion, like
- 1:52:44Speaker 2: what type of vacuum you should get.
- 1:52:45Speaker 3: That's really true, because we got one of those like
- 1:52:48Speaker 3: stick ones and it's not good. Crap, it's crap.
- 1:52:51Speaker 2: It's all about power.
- 1:52:52Speaker 3: It really is not good.
- 1:52:55Speaker 2: Mealy. He always that's not off. I need that it's
- 1:53:01Speaker 2: German made. And if you know vacuuming, you know, Mealy,
- 1:53:06Speaker 2: and there we are, uh also what I but I
- 1:53:12Speaker 2: agree with Danily.
- 1:53:12Speaker 4: You get to that point when when I was a kid,
- 1:53:14Speaker 4: that was one of the things I had to do
- 1:53:15Speaker 4: all the time. I always had to cut the grass,
- 1:53:17Speaker 4: cut the grass and cut the hedges. And I told
- 1:53:19Speaker 4: I've told this story a million times on air. I
- 1:53:21Speaker 4: hated it so much. My brother told me, just do
- 1:53:24Speaker 4: a terrible job and dad will stop asking you to
- 1:53:26Speaker 4: do it. So I did, like I cut the hedges
- 1:53:29Speaker 4: like really crooked on purpose and comes home from works.
- 1:53:35Speaker 4: Thanks for getting that done today. That's one last thing
- 1:53:37Speaker 4: I had to do. You did a great job.
- 1:53:39Speaker 2: Ah.
- 1:53:39Speaker 4: I went in my brother's laughing. My brother tried the
- 1:53:43Speaker 4: same thing and my father did the same thing, and
- 1:53:45Speaker 4: he knew that was going to happen. He set me
- 1:53:47Speaker 4: up and I hated it. I hated doing it every time.
- 1:53:51Speaker 2: You don't like the hedges.
- 1:53:52Speaker 4: The hedges were hard, you know the hard part about
- 1:53:55Speaker 4: the hedges level, But that that's not hard. Oh, the
- 1:53:58Speaker 4: cleanup is hard. Like you just cut the grass, You're done, right,
- 1:54:02Speaker 4: you know the hedges they're there. Then you got to
- 1:54:04Speaker 4: pick them up and then they poked through the bag. Oh,
- 1:54:07Speaker 4: it's the whole thing. Well just burn them, right, uh.
- 1:54:10Speaker 2: Evan. Yes, it's not that the Phantom Menace was bad
- 1:54:13Speaker 2: and it's now good. It's that since the Phantom Menace
- 1:54:16Speaker 2: we have been subjected to the third trilogy, and the
- 1:54:19Speaker 2: Phantom Menace looks so much better in comparison. Yes, Paul,
- 1:54:22Speaker 2: I'm one of those people who will say that the
- 1:54:24Speaker 2: last trilogy was a series of epic failures and errors
- 1:54:27Speaker 2: in concept, story, characterization, and dialogue.
- 1:54:31Speaker 3: I don't disagree with with that. Last Force Awakens was great,
- 1:54:34Speaker 3: but it was nostalgic. It was basically just the very
- 1:54:38Speaker 3: first Star original Star Wars told again in a different way.
- 1:54:41Speaker 3: The second and third one out of the new ones
- 1:54:43Speaker 3: were We're tough.
- 1:54:45Speaker 4: No apologies needed for me. I haven't seen any of.
- 1:54:47Speaker 6: The The truth is, people like Deuce hated the prequel trilogy,
- 1:54:51Speaker 6: but Evan and I were young when it came out,
- 1:54:52Speaker 6: so we grew up enjoying this. That's why we're loud
- 1:54:55Speaker 6: and proud now about them. That's why everybody likes it.
- 1:54:57Speaker 4: People grew up because you you're a trend center.
- 1:54:59Speaker 2: You got it.
- 1:54:59Speaker 4: Good job.
- 1:55:00Speaker 3: I watched Phantom Menace met. I had it on VHS,
- 1:55:04Speaker 3: and I watched it probably a hundred times, like you know,
- 1:55:08Speaker 3: growing up, and I thought it was awesome.
- 1:55:11Speaker 2: I remember when I first saw it, I'm like, okay,
- 1:55:14Speaker 2: this this one's a little different in the they're getting
- 1:55:16Speaker 2: into more of the politics. Yeah, it was a little
- 1:55:19Speaker 2: bit like at a higher level, like you know, where
- 1:55:23Speaker 2: some kids might be bored a little bit at some
- 1:55:25Speaker 2: parts of it.
- 1:55:25Speaker 3: I wasn't bored because the battle scenes, yeah, they were good.
- 1:55:29Speaker 3: You know, you have the pod racing scene, you have
- 1:55:32Speaker 3: the scene when they're in the little submarine thing and
- 1:55:33Speaker 3: they're going through and they have the whole thing on
- 1:55:36Speaker 3: the boo with the whole battle. It's it's all just fantastic.
- 1:55:39Speaker 3: But Matt's right now, we're the ones that are the Fanta.
- 1:55:42Speaker 2: Menace, the one would jarge our Binks. Yes, yeah, see
- 1:55:44Speaker 2: that was a fail. Well so yeah, a lot of
- 1:55:45Speaker 2: people hate it was a terrible character.
- 1:55:48Speaker 4: That was a fail.
- 1:55:48Speaker 2: It's fine.
- 1:55:49Speaker 5: He made me laugh.
- 1:55:50Speaker 2: Yeah, let's see Andrew in Louisiana or La. I'm sorry.
- 1:55:56Speaker 2: The reason why the Celtics went to Miami is because
- 1:55:59Speaker 2: they wanted to show Jimmy Butler and bam Adebayo what
- 1:56:02Speaker 2: Alario Ban Bryant Trophy looks like. And also we all
- 1:56:06Speaker 2: knew there was going to be a heat wave in
- 1:56:08Speaker 2: Boston and no one wants to party in a hundred degrees.
- 1:56:11Speaker 2: You don't think it's one hundred degrees in Miami.
- 1:56:13Speaker 3: It's a different hundred, different hundred.
- 1:56:15Speaker 2: It's more humors.
- 1:56:16Speaker 3: Speaking of bam out of Bio though they got my
- 1:56:19Speaker 3: eye on him.
- 1:56:20Speaker 4: Oh do you in a good way now? A little? Uh?
- 1:56:23Speaker 3: Well, so, you know, Brad Stevens, you know they're going
- 1:56:27Speaker 3: to Jason Tatum and Drew Holliday and probably Derek White too,
- 1:56:31Speaker 3: gonna go play for Team USA in the Olympics. Usually
- 1:56:33Speaker 3: they said them with hey, maybe go go bring this
- 1:56:37Speaker 3: guy back, go recruit this guy is.
- 1:56:39Speaker 2: He up, he's up.
- 1:56:41Speaker 3: I don't know about his contract situation, but that thing
- 1:56:43Speaker 3: in Miami's falling apart.
- 1:56:45Speaker 4: Yeah, they're about at the end of the road.
- 1:56:47Speaker 2: Yeah, one more email, then we're gonna call it a show.
- 1:56:51Speaker 2: This is Thomas and San Diego, San Diego. I plan
- 1:56:55Speaker 2: on attending my first Patriots game this year. We'll be
- 1:56:57Speaker 2: staying in Boston. Could you guys please please give me
- 1:57:00Speaker 2: your restaurant recommendation for the best lobster roles in the area. Oh,
