- 3:08happens in the Islamic year, in the Islamic calendars during
- 3:11these days, these weeks, a lot Shahramaban, the funnest time,
- 3:15the most beautiful time. We hear so much in of course in
- 3:19the in the sermon of Salaam Hamad Salallahu Salem in the
- 3:25last Friday of Shaban, he says this is the banquet of Allah.
- 3:28Allah. Allah is inviting us to his
- 3:31banquet. And what better time to prepare,
- 3:34you know, than these days now in the last few days before Shaban
- 3:37is here to prepare ourselves for this banquet.
- 3:41Get ready to meet our host, you know, be prepared for all the
- 3:45blessings, the bounties of, of, of the banquet itself.
- 3:48And, you know, this is a beautiful time of year saying,
- 3:50I'm so excited to see what we've got coming up in the coming,
- 3:53coming weeks, All for the viewers to see what's coming up.
- 3:55We've been working hard to plan Shaharamavan this year and I'm
- 3:59really excited for you guys to see what happens.
- 4:01We have, we have, and I know we're going to be working soon
- 4:03or something very exclusive. So after Mahreb and that
- 4:07requires some support and we'll get into that in a little while.
- 4:10But as we say in every episode, subscribe to the podcast.
- 4:14Subscribe. Subscribe.
- 4:14All of us on all our audio platforms being Spotify, Apple
- 4:17podcast and please leave us a review.
- 4:20Please leave us the five star rating.
- 4:22Inshallah this helps the episode or the episodes rather reach
- 4:27bigger and better audiences, Muslim audiences all around the
- 4:30world. But what I do want to mention is
- 4:32that we need support, we need financial support.
- 4:35With Ramadan coming, how can people partner with the
- 4:37aftermath of team? Aftermathof.com/donate brother,
- 4:41sisters, please, We need your support now more than ever.
- 4:44To be really honest, this is a time of year, I'll be real, OK?
- 4:48We are in the business of Shia media in a, in a, in a scene in
- 4:52the 2025 scene where there's not really much high quality English
- 4:56Shia content. Yes.
- 4:57And Hamdallah, we have the weekly conversations here, but
- 5:00we want to also do more productions.
- 5:01We've spoken to you guys about the Sisters podcast, which we're
- 5:04working on bringing back Jamaa Nice or similar style show later
- 5:09this year, inshallah. But also being able to invest
- 5:11money into the quality of production, being able to get
- 5:14more hosts and also being able to invest more into what we do
- 5:18behind the scenes in terms of like outer and exclusive
- 5:21productions that are are not on the Thursday podcast that you
- 5:24see. So look, ultimately, if you can
- 5:26support us, anything you could do can help £10 a month, $10 a
- 5:30month. It it may not sound like a lot,
- 5:33it may even sound like a lot, but I can guarantee you that
- 5:35that money goes back directly into what you see here and also
- 5:39what you don't see, the cameras, the equipment, the the lights,
- 5:41the heating, all of the things which happen in this room.
- 5:44So yeah, it would mean a lot. Ahmed, I really love the tree
- 5:47behind you. Yeah, bang.
- 5:48If you're on YouTube, rewind 5 seconds and and you'll see bang
- 5:53presented out of nowhere thin air.
- 5:55Thank you to whoever put the tree there.
- 5:57Not. Just the tree, the the TV we see
- 5:59the. TV yes.
- 6:01Can you guys see it? You can see it.
- 6:02This is a beautiful vintage TV, matches the matches the
- 6:06animation and the intro. So listen, Sid, I want to talk.
- 6:09Well, actually you brought up the topic of today's
- 6:13conversation, but I know you wanted to talk about Toba and
- 6:17the repentance and forgiveness. I think in these days prior to
- 6:21Shahramaban, we narrowed it down to this topic, I believe because
- 6:26there's a host of emotions people are feeling right now.
- 6:30Some people are ready, some people are not.
- 6:31Some people know they're not ready.
- 6:34Some people know if they haven't completed their fasts from last
- 6:38year. Some people know if they've not
- 6:40even completed their Salah from the previous day, but they're
- 6:43entering the month, they may feel unready.
- 6:46Some others may feel prepared, spiritually prepared, you know,
- 6:49physically prepared as well. But why are we talking about
- 6:52Tolba today of all things prior to Shahramovar?
- 6:55I think because repentance Ahmed something that we can all relate
- 7:00to, I think it's I think TOBA is something we've all tried to
- 7:06understand, implement in our lives.
- 7:11See forgiveness from our last partner with Tahala.
- 7:13But when it comes to the month of Ramadan being Ramadan being
- 7:17this blessed Shah of Ramadan Shah Rahman right, the the month
- 7:20of mercy the the gates and the doors of Allah Subhanawatah are
- 7:24open no matter what stage you find yourself and they're open.
- 7:27Our last man was Allah will welcome you and embrace you.
- 7:30You walk towards him and you'll say come next to me.
- 7:34This is the God we have and I don't think people appreciate
- 7:38how merciful Allah is being the month of Ramadan.
- 7:43This is where we express gratitude.
- 7:48Thankfulness not for the little things, not for the big things,
- 7:54but all that I am that God has protected us from.
- 7:56You know, we say Allah Sattar al Ayub, you know, our flaws, He
- 7:59hides them from other people, our sins, He hides them from
- 8:02other people. But I think it's the time where
- 8:05now we acknowledge that, thank him for that and seek repentance
- 8:10because many times, Ahmed, maybe I I fall trapped to this as
- 8:13well. Sometimes we forget we have
- 8:16this. You mentioned it a few times,
- 8:17right, Where you find yourself in the state of ruffler.
- 8:21It's like you're walking, but you're asleep.
- 8:23Yeah, yeah, yeah. Spiritually, you're not awake.
- 8:26You know God is there. You know, this is Haram.
- 8:28You know, this is Hala. This is lawful, this unlawful.
- 8:31God tells you stay far away from this.
- 8:33God tells you come walk towards this.
- 8:35And. But we, we forget this Hasab and
- 8:39Kitab and I think this is the month where we say, you know
- 8:41what, we want to change our lives.
- 8:43We want to change our spiritual lifestyle and we want to have
- 8:46spiritual growth. And for that to start with the
- 8:49blessings, blessings of Allah. I think it starts with
- 8:51repentance because it's like Salah, you know, when you just
- 8:56pray and pray and pray, but you don't know what you're saying.
- 8:59There's, I don't, there is of course, Salah is watching by the
- 9:01end of the day, but is there really any benefit from us, from
- 9:04the Salah we're doing similar to our sins and repentance.
- 9:07We're just going to walk, commit sins and say stuff for Allah,
- 9:10stuff Allah, stuff for Allah, but not really knowing what
- 9:12repentance is, how to approach TOBA correctly.
- 9:15I think we're missing out and being in Ramadan, I think that's
- 9:17where we begin. Good time.
- 9:18It's a good time to start. 100% you know the whole thing is is a
- 9:22last panel to Allah has made this month for our hearts to
- 9:25soften right and for the hardened hearts to be able to
- 9:28connect with its Lord, yes, creator, yes, you know when we
- 9:32say yeah, I'm Kalibal Kalub, we're talking about the the one
- 9:35who is the owner of our hearts. The Kalubala.
- 9:38Aladdin and this is something that is so important.
- 9:42OK, now think about this. For as long as we have a soul in
- 9:45our body, you know, we have our you know what in the in the holy
- 9:48God and Allah talks all the time about the sudur, what lies
- 9:52within the chests of people. And specifically speaking, we
- 9:57will always have two forces at play.
- 10:00OK, within our Nas we have nasal Amara or we have nasal mokma in
- 10:05and of course in the middle you have Nasala wama.
- 10:08And these forces are always battling like a game, unless
- 10:11it's not Quran as well. He says that what is life?
- 10:14What is hayat except a game? These two forces are always
- 10:17competing for one another, and the hardening of the hearts is
- 10:21one of the things which causes that grafla, that hideousness,
- 10:25and in such a way where the hardening of the hearts, the
- 10:27hard hearts are the hearts which become disobedient of the last
- 10:31panel to Isla. Think of it logically speaking,
- 10:33OK, let's say you've done a sin again and again and again and
- 10:38again and again. You become desensitized to it.
- 10:42Yes, right. So when they say like it's I
- 10:44hear in lectures, the first step is to recognize what you're
- 10:48doing is bad to feel bad for it. Bro, you cannot force someone to
- 10:51feel bad for something they've done for 10/20/30 years.
- 10:55And you know, because it's normal, it's normal.
- 10:57It's it's day-to-day for them. You know, I listen to music on
- 10:59the way to work, for example. Or for example, I look at a girl
- 11:02when I see her walking on the street, do I feel guilt if I'm
- 11:05someone who's done that for decades in my life?
- 11:07I'm not saying me. I'm saying someone who may have
- 11:09done this right. So recognizing it is important.
- 11:14But ultimately one of the beautiful things about the
- 11:18softening of the hearts. And I want to talk about this
- 11:20over the next few minutes inshallah, as in we'll, we'll
- 11:22have a conversation about it. One of the ways in which we can
- 11:25soften our hearts is through Istakfar.
- 11:27Allah has made that as a mode for us to soften our hearts.
- 11:30In the Holy Quran, Allah talks about it on, on several
- 11:34occasions. OK, one, one example that this
- 11:36is sort of an arm chapter 6 verse #43 Allah talks about the
- 11:41chastisement of people who have been punished.
- 11:44OK, He talks specifically about those who he has punished.
- 11:47And Allah says, and I'm paraphrasing, he says, I took
- 11:51them right to the point where I knew they could have repented.
- 11:55I took them there. All they had to do was ask for
- 11:58forgiveness and I would have saved them.
- 12:00He says in this verse, why did they not humble themselves when
- 12:03we made them suffer? Instead their hearts were
- 12:06hardened and Shaitaan made their misdeeds appealing to them.
- 12:10Allah talks about insura bakala, Allah talks about banal sahil
- 12:13and He talks about how their hearts are harder than rock.
- 12:17And he says that even rocks break and water can come out of
- 12:21it and even rocks can fall down in awe of Allah.
- 12:26And I think one of the key things is going into this month,
- 12:29you know, like doing research on this podcast before we actually
- 12:32recorded this, I realized that my goal for this month has to
- 12:36be, has to be to soften my heart towards Allah Spontala.
- 12:40Purely, truly, completely, holistically, wholeheartedly
- 12:44soften myself towards Allah Spontala.
- 12:46Only then will I be able to make meaningful, impactful long term
- 12:51change. May Allah protect your heart.
- 12:53Habibi and bless you. Yeah, guilty.
- 12:56I. Keep it pumping and the love of
- 12:57Allah Habibi. No, you speak facts, man.
- 13:01And and if I think that's definitely something a goal that
- 13:05I can implement. I just I didn't think of from
- 13:07that way in terms of softening the heart.
- 13:09And I think that's very important when it comes to like
- 13:10forgiveness and repentance and so.
- 13:12Bro sorry to interrupt but if you think about it in Islam
- 13:16everything comes down to the heart.
- 13:17Everything you know what you do if you're good bad, if you're
- 13:20merciful, if you're unjust, if you're if you're harsher with
- 13:22people, you're lenient. Everything comes down to the
- 13:24heart and if your heart is soft everything is great.
- 13:28All our the way out which talk about the heart.
- 13:30So many of them link back to estafa.
- 13:32Toba talk about if you want to soften your heart, you do estafa
- 13:35if you want to to if you hold a grudge if you hold a grudge
- 13:39against someone, it's like holding charcoal and throwing it
- 13:42at someone. What's the thing with holding
- 13:43charcoal bro? Before you can throw it your
- 13:45hands get burnt Holding a grudge with someone is as damaging to
- 13:49yourself as it is to anyone else, and alas sees that within
- 13:52you. He sees that think about anyone
- 13:56anyone. I thought of someone earlier
- 13:58today when when I thought about this, someone who I had a grudge
- 14:03against, someone who I was annoyed about, You know, when I,
- 14:06when his name crosses my mind, I roll my eyes.
- 14:09No. And I, you know, what's the
- 14:13point? You know, why hold a grudge?
- 14:15Ultimately, what's that going to do?
- 14:16This hardens the hawk. There's no point.
- 14:18You're right. I need, you know, holding
- 14:21grudges, I I think becomes an obstacle for your heart to open
- 14:25and for you to even seek repentance from Allah.
- 14:27I need you know, in our previous episode, we were speaking about
- 14:31Mustafa and he was mentioning, you know, we we expect our last
- 14:34panel to figure us for the millions of sins we do through
- 14:38our lifetime. But we can't forgive the
- 14:41servants of Allah, you know. So if we remove our grudges, we
- 14:45open our heart and we seek inshallah, sincere, sincere,
- 14:49sincere towe because people can say towe, but do they mean it?
- 14:55Do they mean it? Do people understand what
- 14:57there's a stuff for Allah or people to be like means, you
- 14:59know, speaking about you mentioned some narrations and
- 15:03you know, Subhan Allah, the other day I was listening to a
- 15:06lecture. This was by say Mustafa Tasmini
- 15:08actually, and in the lecture he mentioned something about
- 15:12Astafar. Imam Ali was walking one day and
- 15:19he came across a man who just committed the sin and said the
- 15:23Safar Allah. I went on straight after that
- 15:27Astafar to go and commit another sin and say Safar Allah.
- 15:32The Imam went to him. He approached him.
- 15:35He said to him, may your mother lose you.
- 15:39Do you know the weights of what a stuff for Allah means?
- 15:43And he went on and on to say, I mean, Islam is not a game.
- 15:47It's the far is not a game. You can't expect a lot to fully
- 15:50forgive you if you're just going to say with no meaning.
- 15:57I said at the beginning, we can be praying for 50 years.
- 16:01We don't even know what Samuel Allah, Heman Hamid that means
- 16:05how we want our praise to be accepted.
- 16:07And look with with this the far there are steps to it.
- 16:13There are approaches 1 needs to take.
- 16:16I know Islamically there are I think 4 criterias 1 needs to
- 16:21meet. And I know Imam Ali Al Hissanami
- 16:22even mentions in Nejil Belaga that in fact you recommend 66
- 16:27ways of having. Not.
- 16:31Just etiquettes. I think it's called Toba
- 16:34Nasohaya. Like the most sincere of TOBA.
- 16:37If you really want our last part of it to add 100% to forgive
- 16:40you, you have to do these 6 steps.
- 16:43One of them, you know, starts with the tongue.
- 16:45One of them starts with the I'll get them out in a few in a few
- 16:48minutes. I'll bring it on my phone
- 16:49because I think it's relevant to mention and very important a
- 16:51Shia that we listen to what our Imam says when it comes to TOBA
- 16:55and how we seek repentance from God.
- 16:57But it it, it's all about, I think, acknowledging that what
- 17:02we did was wrong. Many of us make sins left, right
- 17:06and centre. It's like a swimming corporal,
- 17:08like our sins. Imagine it's like a filled up
- 17:11Wembley Stadium filled up with fans.
- 17:13But those fans are what? Are.
- 17:15Are are bad deeds, right? And to us, this is normal.
- 17:18We see it as fans and we celebrate it.
- 17:19Ah, they're cheering for me. Broken Badger.
- 17:21They're like, and we acknowledge that what we did was Haram, was
- 17:25wrong. And the worst thing about sins
- 17:27is when it comes to toba, if we want a loss of panel wattala to
- 17:33figure us, if we want a loss of panel wattala to wipe us a clean
- 17:38slate, as the saying goes, if we have wronged someone, there's no
- 17:45forgiveness. Yeah, if we have taken someone's
- 17:48rights, there's no forgiveness. And by the way, people's rights,
- 17:51it can be for example, property, land, cheating someone
- 17:58financially at work. Like even as far as Salah bro, I
- 18:02read like from from, from Imam Ali, Ali Salaam.
- 18:04Even as far as Salah, bro, if you if you don't have the
- 18:07intention to make up your Qatar Salah, how do you want God to
- 18:10forgive you? Because part of the what's that
- 18:17word I would say, like mandatory requirements for Allah's final
- 18:23Mata Ana to forgive you is that you do the basics for him, which
- 18:26are the wodger, but the Salah, the Saab.
- 18:29If all of these are not happening, there's no guarantee
- 18:33God will fully forgive you. But the other thing is God knows
- 18:36that you can send and go back. You can make us the far and go
- 18:40back. People lapse.
- 18:42People are quite human at the end of the day.
- 18:44We're not flawless. We're not so mean.
- 18:46We're not infallible. We're bound to sin.
- 18:48Shaitaan can confuse us, play with our mind, change our
- 18:51hearts. But it's down to us, Ahmed.
- 18:53At the end of the day, we can make that decision and
- 18:57acknowledge God exists. God says stay far away from
- 19:00this. Don't chase it.
- 19:01Don't go after it. Don't let it deceive you.
- 19:04Don't let this dunya deceive you.
- 19:05Shaitaans whispers deceive you because one was not worth it.
- 19:08You know why it's not worth it, Ahmed?
- 19:10We're now what? Approaching the month of
- 19:12Ramadan? Yeah, well, approaching the
- 19:15blessed month of Ramadan, how many people do you know?
- 19:18Do I know? And people watching and
- 19:20listening that were hair loss Ramadan and I'm not here for
- 19:24this month. It's too late.
- 19:29You know, people they delayed over, they say I'll grow old,
- 19:32I'll change. Be it hijab, be it Salah, be it
- 19:37I don't know fornication. I don't know what people do
- 19:40nowadays, like since it becomes so normal.
- 19:42These things, we'll hardly mention them.
- 19:44Back in the day when I was no these things.
- 19:46Bro, when you delay your October, there's no guarantee
- 19:48you're living tomorrow. Well, there's no guarantee we're
- 19:50here tomorrow. Me and you, Ahmed, we can, God
- 19:52forbid, die on the way home in a car accident.
- 19:54Who knows, right? Imam Ali says what to us.
- 19:57People are asleep and when they die, they are awake.
- 20:01Don't lose the opportunity. What?
- 20:03Laugh. Don't lose the opportunity.
- 20:05Make that's over today. Make that's over today.
- 20:08Me and you, Ahmed. We need to make sincere Talbar.
- 20:12Yeah, I fully agree, bro. Bro, you sound like a good 30
- 20:16points. So I think there's a lot of
- 20:18points. You mentioned one thing you
- 20:20mentioned about lip service of Talbar and you mentioned the
- 20:23story of the Middlemont Manin. There's a hadith of Allah
- 20:27Salaam, Salaam Allah, where he says the same thing.
- 20:31He says seeking forgiveness with your lips but not within your
- 20:34heart. You have surely fooled yourself,
- 20:37your mum says Saddam. So I think that's just to double
- 20:41up on it like it's pointless or we.
- 20:44Think we can fool a lot? Of course, the things and we do
- 20:47think that let's be real, I think the majority of people,
- 20:50you know, it's very easy lay a little Qatar, you do your armal,
- 20:55you do your stuff, far stuff. All of these things become lip
- 21:00service. You know, I think it's it's
- 21:02better in some ways to think about a sin, acknowledge it.
- 21:05Look, look, I'm going to be real, OK?
- 21:09Sinning, sinning itself is completely normal.
- 21:13Sinning is inevitable, everyone. Will sin.
- 21:20Sinning is inevitable. Yeah, of course everyone's going
- 21:23to sin, OK? Don't beat yourself up if you've
- 21:28sinned. You can't.
- 21:32Don't, don't sit on the frame mat and think Allah's not going
- 21:35to, you know, respect me or how am I going to face Allah?
- 21:39How am I going to look at Allah's panel to Allah in the
- 21:42Holy Quran? But at the same time, you have
- 21:47to strike a balance, right? So you have to acknowledge the
- 21:50gravity of what you're doing and recognize that the sin is
- 21:55forbidden for a certain reason. If I listen to music, as I
- 22:00mentioned earlier on the way home from work or school, I need
- 22:05to understand that this is anti Tahrir.
- 22:09That is morally and socially and mentally compromising me.
- 22:15And because of that, I'm going against Allah's will.
- 22:19Ultimately, we cannot make any definitive changes in ourselves
- 22:24during Shahramulan if we don't recognize what we're doing and
- 22:28why it's going on. Why is it Haram?
- 22:31If you know the root of a sin is Haram, then you'll understand
- 22:35it's wrong. When you understand it's wrong,
- 22:37then you have guilt. When you have guilt, you
- 22:39approach Allah. Then Allah sees you approaching
- 22:42him with humility, sincerity. It's common sense.
- 22:45Allah knows what's in your heart.
- 22:47Allah sees that this is someone who's recognized what he's done
- 22:50is wrong. He's not doing a stock far from
- 22:53for for himself out of guilt because you know, he's been told
- 22:58by his teachers at the mosque or he's been told by his parents,
- 23:01This is why GP you have to do this.
- 23:03Or he's not doing it because he's fearing Hellfire or he's
- 23:05not doing it because he's got hopes of, of the transactional
- 23:09reward I will give him. No, rather Allah realises that
- 23:12within your heart is humility. You've approached Allah, you say
- 23:15I recognise what I've done is Haram.
- 23:18I recognise what I have done has gone against your command.
- 23:22A lot about okata. Allah is, is approachable like
- 23:25that. Allah is, is.
- 23:26So you know, Hamad raha mean, you know what I mean?
- 23:30And and if if we can't approach a lie in such a way where we are
- 23:34humble in that form, then you know when else we're going to
- 23:37do. If there's a time, we mentioned
- 23:38earlier that this blessed month is the banquet of a last month
- 23:41to Allah in a banquet. What do you do?
- 23:43Think about iffire invitations. Yeah.
- 23:45You make the best of the yeah, having guests, right?
- 23:49If you're having if you're having guests, yeah, you prepare
- 23:51your, your, your, your home is beautiful.
- 23:54You want people to come into your environment.
- 23:57You want them to feel welcomed as a host.
- 23:59You want them to send them away with as much as possible.
- 24:02You want them to come in, feel fulfilled, feel happy, feel like
- 24:06they're getting blessings and leave and send them away with
- 24:09more. You know, as a guest, you come.
- 24:11You want to look your best. You want to smile.
- 24:13You want to thank your host for hosting you.
- 24:15You know, you want to engage and interact with people around you,
- 24:17befriend and socialize people you know around you, and
- 24:21ultimately you want it to be an environment full of love and
- 24:26blessing That is Shahadah Mulvan.
- 24:28It is how far, how often? Every year we get five nights
- 24:32into it. I always say this to my family,
- 24:34as well as five nights into Shahadah Mulvan.
- 24:36We think, wow, days are long, fast, so hard.
- 24:40I'm slowly getting into it. Day 10 and one third already.
- 24:45Wow, the month is going fast. Before you know it comes 19th to
- 24:4923rd. You're doing your shahada
- 24:52nights, you're doing your nights.
- 24:54By the 23rd night, you're on the 24th day.
- 24:57Where's the month gone? Where's the month gone?
- 25:01You've got five days left and you're filled with remorse.
- 25:03What have I done this month? Why haven't I recited more
- 25:06Quran? Why haven't I done more at Amal?
- 25:08Why have I not picked up the Quran, looked at one verse and
- 25:12deeply reflected it? There's so many.
- 25:14You know, I'm just, if I, if you don't mind, I'm going to talk a
- 25:17bit about the Quran for a minute because I think this is a must.
- 25:19Yeah, 100%. Allah says in the Quran time and
- 25:23time and time and time again that the Swahili mentions that
- 25:28if I'm not mistaken, that this Quran is Shafa and Noor and
- 25:35hedaya for the minion. And Allah mentions that the ones
- 25:39who are lost are the oppressors with the Quran.
- 25:43Now this is a strange concept. This will be confusing for.
- 25:47Some this is this is strange, right?
- 25:49Ajeeb, How can the Quran for some people be Hedaya and Noor
- 25:53and Shafa? And for some people the Quran is
- 25:56harmful to them. OK, it's because our hearts are
- 26:02like containers. OK?
- 26:05The Quran is the content. You what you put in a container
- 26:09doesn't change the the the faculties of the content.
- 26:13The container will affect it. Let me give you an example.
- 26:16Rainwater is pure OK. If you take a bucket outside,
- 26:22but the bucket is rusted, the water becomes contaminated.
- 26:27A septic rusted container will contaminate purified rainwater.
- 26:33That does not mean the rain water in its core is impure, but
- 26:36it's been made impure. If you take a rose, you put it
- 26:39in that water, it will ruin the Rose is not impure.
- 26:43But if you take the same rose and you spray it with, you know,
- 26:46flower food or whatever, you know, pure, proper water, spring
- 26:50water, then that rose will have a sweet fragrance. the Rose
- 26:54itself changes based on the environment you're putting it
- 27:00in, right? The water which is falling
- 27:03changes based on the environment you're putting in the container.
- 27:06In the same way Allah gives us the Holy Quran.
- 27:09We can corrupt ourselves with the Quran.
- 27:12If we don't know how to use it, we don't know how to read it.
- 27:14We use it for our own manipulation and our own benefit
- 27:17or that we can use it for that hedaya, for that shafa.
- 27:20You know, Allah gives us this book for healing in this month.
- 27:24Healing, healing, healing. Every one of us has religious
- 27:28trauma, psychological, childhood trauma to some degrees.
- 27:32Spiritual trauma is rampant in today's day and age.
- 27:35Everyone has trauma, traumatized by religion in some way or the
- 27:38other. Use the Quran, go back to the
- 27:40word of Allah, look at it deeply and think how is Allah
- 27:44communicating with me directly? You know us, Allah is in.
- 27:48This month will get us close to God.
- 27:49But if we want communication from Allah, we get that from
- 27:52the. Right, and it all goes back to
- 27:53God. 100. Percent all roads lead to Allah
- 27:59and you're right, you know this Quran and coming back to God and
- 28:02opening up to God and look, God tells us in the Quran, Allah
- 28:05with thicker a lot of unknown a loop a loop.
- 28:07You know for sure. Yeah, he is certainly certainly
- 28:12your hearts will feel content at ease with what that Allah.
- 28:17The thing is with we're not used to the vicar and it's a huge
- 28:21problem and even if we do the car, sometimes we don't know
- 28:24what we're doing the car for. Well, let me ask you, what is
- 28:26the car in your? Dhikr is remembering God in
- 28:30every moment of your life, like in every stage, whether it's
- 28:32saying al hamdulillah, whether saying Subhan Allah when you see
- 28:36something amazing, beautiful. Is that godly?
- 28:41I know you're. Thinking God created this, Allah
- 28:45Azojel, He created this. So what I'm saying is this
- 28:48culture of dhikr is just. No, some people look.
- 28:53Some 100 times. Then why 100 times?
- 28:55And ZA 100. Times sure sometimes you'll find
- 28:57people that hold the test beer and they're swinging it around
- 29:03every 5 seconds they'll say a lot like what's going on like I
- 29:09really don't they're very cultural.
- 29:10Or are you just going for the vibes Yeah like it's
- 29:13aesthetically you look Muslim. Yeah it's a look at the end of
- 29:15the day, there's no real vicar. I'm not saying there's no vicar
- 29:19been going on there, but is it the vicar that God wants from
- 29:23you? I don't know.
- 29:25I'm I'm not here to judge Allah the best of judges right, but
- 29:28they care on the tongue constantly They care on the
- 29:32heart constantly. The problem is we forget God.
- 29:35Imam Ali. What made him Imam Ali?
- 29:37What made the Ali Ali honestly off He saw God before during and
- 29:41after everything. Yeah and he didn't go to sin.
- 29:44He didn't even want to sin. Why?
- 29:45Because God was revolving around him.
- 29:47Muhammad, people pull him as four anyway.
- 29:50That's a different discussion, but in reality one in reality.
- 29:53In reality, what made Ali, Ali was this.
- 29:55He had God with him. He was God centric, no?
- 29:58One loves Ali like Allah, Muhammad.
- 30:01You know what I'm saying? And no one loves Allah like Ali
- 30:03and Muhammad. I mean, because of that we know
- 30:06that if you want to emulate the the the vicar of Allah, sponsor
- 30:10Allah in the perfect way. You look at the Ali bait I.
- 30:12Understand, I said, no, you're very right.
- 30:13And you know, just speaking about looking at the aliabates,
- 30:16that was there's a narration, a man comes to imam and Baker
- 30:20alayhi Salaam, and he tells them, you know what, Imam, why
- 30:25are you doing this thafar? Like I've never seen you do
- 30:27wrong. Like I've never seen you do
- 30:29Haram. And he was like my grandfather
- 30:32Rasoolallah sallallahu alaihi wasallam also done the thafar.
- 30:36In fact, he done this thafar with every meeting he had with
- 30:39people. He done this thafar.
- 30:41Every time he'd wake up, he'd do a thafar before he'd go to
- 30:44sleep. Thafar was constant.
- 30:46Why? Because there is reward for it.
- 30:49Yeah, I mean, I I don't I don't remember the exact tafsir of
- 30:54that narration, but from what I recall was like a believer true
- 30:58movement has to live between the fair of Allah and hope in his
- 31:04Rahman his mercy. Like, even if you're not doing
- 31:07wrong, you can't be arrogant and say I'm going gender that just
- 31:11that thought that I'm the best of the best doesn't guarantee
- 31:15you generally. Just because you haven't been
- 31:17sinning doesn't mean you're going to enter God's paradise.
- 31:20That, you know, Shaytan was arrogant.
- 31:22Yeah. Like there's certain things we
- 31:24may be too comfortable with. And bro, not just that, also to
- 31:27think about the fact that we may have been in.
- 31:29Sorry to interrupt you. No, no, no.
- 31:31Like we are raised in such an environment.
- 31:33Yeah. But we think, oh, it's OK, and
- 31:36I'll do so much good. And the last week I've been
- 31:39mosque 8 times, I've been former jalis.
- 31:41I've met 400 Muslims today. How many times have I said
- 31:44Salaam alaikum today? How many times I said I pray,
- 31:48pray someone's parent. Do you know what I'm saying?
- 31:49We have this thing because we're culturally Islamic.
- 31:52Sometimes we think it cancels out or for example, we overlook.
- 31:56That's not a griber. I'm not a griber.
- 31:58For example. I don't see so far.
- 32:00Now. I was thinking about this today.
- 32:01Yeah. I was like, toba is everything
- 32:04bro. Like this situations let me
- 32:07challenge people at home. OK, Think of a time, think of an
- 32:11environment in your life where you don't have to you've never
- 32:14had to do told but about or you think doesn't work.
- 32:17So for me, I I tried this on myself.
- 32:18Yeah. Is there a time or like an
- 32:21environment or circumstance in my life where I think I've done
- 32:25nothing wrong? Right.
- 32:26So for example, I'm with a certain person or I'm in a
- 32:28certain place. So let me give you an example.
- 32:31Yeah, I thought, yeah. With my son, my daughter.
- 32:33I love them. And then I thought about Nah,
- 32:36there's been times I've been harsh on my kids, right?
- 32:40Then I thought, no. And beta Salah, my mosque in
- 32:43the, you know, in this Salah area, my mosque.
- 32:46I don't know, bro. There's been times I've sat in
- 32:49that place and I've not said Salaam to the guy next to me and
- 32:52I know him, for example, you know, there's times and there's
- 32:55places where I'm challenging myself, thinking I think my
- 32:59mind, I'm arrogant. I'm like I know I've done
- 33:02nothing wrong. I have a fair on law.
- 33:05Yeah, I've done a law. This is the thing.
- 33:07No, no, wait. Right.
- 33:08You think about it, right? Even you're seeing idly you're
- 33:10doing nothing. Yeah, you're on the tube to work
- 33:13or you're on the train or whatever it is doing nothing.
- 33:17Think about if you've done anything wrong in that situation
- 33:19in that place or if not, thank a lot and then pray that you never
- 33:23do something fall into sin. And if you there are times where
- 33:26you're bored, you're doing nothing.
- 33:27How many times we driving or or we're we're waiting, you know,
- 33:31we're we're in the dentist and we're waiting for our name to
- 33:33get called. Doing nothing.
- 33:35Think in your mind, think about what have I done today?
- 33:37Like you mentioned that Mahasuba, you do that self
- 33:39accountability. Yeah, yeah, yeah, very
- 33:40important. That's you know that self
- 33:42accountability is, is is well it to us, to our faith, to our to
- 33:49every Muslim life, to every human that takes our last part
- 33:52of it. Allah as is Lord and we say we
- 33:54are the slaves of Allah Nashallah, we are genuinely
- 33:56truly about the last. We aim for this right self
- 34:00accountability, especially for our Shia.
- 34:03We look up to the headed baits, we hold on to them, we never let
- 34:07go of them and we will die loving them and learning from
- 34:11them and taking life lessons of them.
- 34:13Right. What does Imam Al Khadam say?
- 34:17He says the one who doesn't have self accountability is not from
- 34:21us. What does it tell you bro?
- 34:25Say that. Again.
- 34:28The one who doesn't have self accountability is not from us.
- 34:32What does it mean you are not from us?
- 34:42We go to bed, Do you forget all the sins we've done on the day?
- 34:46It's not worth it. That's making me laugh.
- 34:48I'm not the way, Drake. I came from the heart, man.
- 34:58But in reality, like, I'm being real.
- 35:01Like if we don't have Mahasaba, we'd rather be accountable to
- 35:06ourselves than in this life. Then wait for the day we will
- 35:09truly be. Held.
- 35:10I agree. I agree.
- 35:12The Quran verse says well performing homeless alone, you
- 35:14know, stop them I bet stop I'm. Not doing anything.
- 35:22I'm just waiting for you to finish your point.
- 35:24I'm not doing anything bro I'm watching.
- 35:26Listen, listen, the Quran says stop.
- 35:32What's wrong with that? It's not from us.
- 35:42Stop them. Come on, bro.
- 35:45Sorry. Sorry.
- 35:45Stop a lot. Sorry, it's a small room so it
- 35:47gets loud, I know, but what I'm trying to say is let me have a
- 35:52sip and I'll get to you. Shopla.
- 35:55I wish. I hope you're not keeping this
- 35:57in. Let's not waste this month, OK?
- 36:02Let's think about ways in which we can be lenient on ourselves
- 36:06as well as the people around us. So look at yourself and think
- 36:09about what changes you can make to yourself.
- 36:13Be lenient to the point where you know it's OK if you have
- 36:18sinned up until now and in Shaharam Milan, you want to make
- 36:20that change. Make the change and pray to our
- 36:23last partner, to Allah, that you have the solidity within you to
- 36:28keep that momentum. Don't guilt yourself.
- 36:31Look at people around you and think, are there ways in which I
- 36:33can help them? That may be through forgiveness
- 36:36of them for their flaws, for their sins, times where they've
- 36:39hurt you, times where they've neglected you.
- 36:42Don't be harsh on them. And then I guarantee forget me,
- 36:46forget me the Quran and the hadith of the Yahoo beta name of
- 36:49Salaam guarantee that when you turn to Allah, spoiler to Allah
- 36:52in such a state where you have understood Allah Rahman and
- 36:55yourself, the rahma that you give to people around you, Allah
- 36:59look at you with forgiveness and he'll give you that forgiveness
- 37:05and shot Allah. And then look at the Barakat of
- 37:08Toba in itself is is plentiful. We have a little way out from
- 37:11Salah Islam, where he says that doing TOBA increases your
- 37:15sustenance, increases your wealth.
- 37:17Of course there's real Wyatt about.
- 37:20Amiramatmani says that the best of things a man can do is TOBA.
- 37:22You know, there's so many row Wyatt about TOBA in itself, but
- 37:28yeah man, let's do it. No, you're speaking.
- 37:30Sorry. And there's something I think we
- 37:33should all be reflecting on. And reflection is key,
- 37:38especially Ramadan, especially as Muslims, especially as those
- 37:41who love Rasul Allah, the best creation to walk on this earth,
- 37:44Rasul Allah Muhammad, al Allah, Muhammad, he says.
- 37:51What an hour of reflection. An hour of worship is better.
- 37:56Than 70 years, an hour of reflection.
- 37:59Reflection. What did I say?
- 38:01An hour of reflection is better than 70 years of worship.
- 38:03No, no, no. An hour of reflection is equal
- 38:06to 70 years of everybody, 70 years of worship.
- 38:10And what I'm trying to say to you is use the hour of
- 38:14reflection, if not every day, every week, not every week,
- 38:19every month, at least once a year, But at least now with
- 38:22Ramadan approaching, the message Shah of Ramadan reflects on how
- 38:27to change your life to prepare yourself for the Archer.
- 38:32I said early on, bro, we will die not knowing when.
- 38:36Some people are lucky, they would know when they die, be it
- 38:40some illness, be it they know they're closer to death.
- 38:43But the majority of the people, they die without knowing when,
- 38:45bro. And that regret don't, don't,
- 38:49don't, don't reach that stage. You know, even Rasul Allahallah
- 38:53Alayhi Alayhi wasalam says even if you were to repent, do toba
- 38:58to Allah an hour before your death, Allah will accept it.
- 39:04Yeah, I mean, because people may think, for example, you know
- 39:06what? I've sinned my entire life.
- 39:09I've harmed people my entire life.
- 39:11I've done Haram left right and center my entire life.
- 39:14Never too late. Since they're beloved until
- 39:16maybe they're 80 years old, how much times do we find people old
- 39:19age? Yeah, come back to Allah.
- 39:21It's never too late. It's never too.
- 39:23Late we mentioned earlier that story in the Quran where Allah
- 39:25says that there are the communities of people who Allah
- 39:28was ready to punish, the communities of people that Allah
- 39:32wanted to punish in in masses. And he said that had they just
- 39:38sort of forgiveness even at the last moment, I would have
- 39:42forgiven them. And this is Allah.
- 39:45Allah tells us that the Quran is a book of stories and learning,
- 39:49reflection and and understanding.
- 39:51Take that information in and that may sound generic and
- 39:57ambiguous and quite obscure. An unknown group of people in an
- 40:01unknown place and time were given a warning and they didn't
- 40:04take the warning, so Allah punished them.
- 40:06No, no, think about the the bigger message.
- 40:08The principal Allah gave them, you're saying, ample
- 40:12opportunities. Ample opportunities.
- 40:14He gave them the Tofiq to have the opportunity to repent, and
- 40:17they chose not to because they delayed repentance.
- 40:20Yeah. How many of us delayed
- 40:21repentance every day? Every.
- 40:24Day, that's the thing, yeah. Like there, there comes a point
- 40:27where you're when you're where you become so naive that you
- 40:32don't even feel it within you the desire to repent.
- 40:36That's dangerous. While you, while you still have
- 40:38a desire to repent, while you still think, yeah, you know
- 40:41what? I need to stop doing this.
- 40:43You know what I need? I need to end that sin or I need
- 40:45to start doing this properly while you still have that in
- 40:48you. Thank Allah because that is a
- 40:50good thing. It's acknowledgement that you
- 40:53need to improve when you get to that pitiful lowly state where
- 40:57you think, no, I don't care. I don't need to change.
- 41:01And I promise you, we are all, all of us.
- 41:04At least I speak for myself. But I know that there are many
- 41:06of us knowingly or unknowingly are doing something wrong or
- 41:11haven't started doing something right, and that we are all going
- 41:15deeper and deeper. Find that now.
- 41:16Find out what that thing is that's stopping you from turning
- 41:20back to Allah, whether it's something you're doing or
- 41:22something you're not doing, and deal with it now.
- 41:25You know you cannot turn to Allah if you don't know what's
- 41:29within your heart, within your nerves.
- 41:31Once you know what's within your nerves, turning to Allah will be
- 41:34easy. It'll become, it'll become
- 41:36frequent, easy, comfortable, approachable.
- 41:39The conversation with Allahs months Allah will be something
- 41:41beloved to you you. You won't be able to go without
- 41:45communication with Allah for a day.
- 41:47Toba won't even become a conscious thought of yours.
- 41:50You won't need to to think about what's the right way to do toba.
- 41:54How do I seek, forget. No, it will become part and
- 41:57parcel of your nature. It will become manifested in
- 42:00every fibre, every every cell in your body will be directed as a
- 42:06qibla, as a compass towards Allah.
- 42:09That you will subconsciously in every breath, every waking
- 42:14moment of your life, you'll be looking at how can I please
- 42:17Allah? How can I get closer to him that
- 42:20that small edge, that centimetre or that minute extra of Ebada
- 42:27and and and turning towards Allah will be Rahama and will be
- 42:31a salvation for us on a day where we need it most.
- 42:34And that day is coming soon, whether we know it well, whether
- 42:36we like it or not. Sense No, you're absolutely
- 42:39right. And I think just to add to your
- 42:41point here is that when it comes to delaying tobler, yeah,
- 42:46sometimes it's not because we're enjoying the sin, it's because
- 42:49we may have despair in God's rahma.
- 42:53And how much science do we find people that say, you know, I've
- 42:56seen so much, there is no way God's going to forgive me.
- 43:00You know, I've, I've done so much Haram, so much wrong.
- 43:04I've oppressed people, I've stolen from people, I've cheated
- 43:07people, I've wronged people. And they say there's no way
- 43:11God's going to forgive me. And you know, just to have that
- 43:13thought is a sin in itself. Ma'am Sajad says that you know
- 43:16the story, right? No, the killer of one of one of
- 43:19those in in the army of Omar Mazad and Kabbalah years after
- 43:23the battle comes to Ma'am Sajad by the Kaaba.
- 43:26He's crying. He's this, he's that.
- 43:28He's like, I was one of those. Who participated?
- 43:31Participated because but I know you won't forgive me, but I
- 43:34killed the grandson of us, Allah.
- 43:36I know I'm doomed for this Hellfire.
- 43:39And mum Sajjad says to him, he goes you, Allah will, you'll get
- 43:43the necessary punishment for what you did.
- 43:45But the the the thing which Allah will not forgive you about
- 43:48is thinking that he cannot forgive you for anything else.
- 43:50This is a Mama Sajad saying that about his father.
- 43:52This is the Rahm Allah. Honestly.
- 43:56God says I will forgive everything, everything, Ahmed,
- 43:59except for shirk, like that's the only thing there's no
- 44:03forgiveness for. But every other sin you can
- 44:05imagine you have done or think about doing, God will wipe that
- 44:11clean slate. And he tells, you know, he says
- 44:13it's very beautiful. He tells Rasool Allah, you know,
- 44:18tell the people, tell the community, tell the Muslims.
- 44:21Well, yeah, by the Ladinas, Rafa Allah and Fasukum not taken out
- 44:24to more Ahmed Allah, don't have despair in God's mercy.
- 44:28Tell my servants, don't have despair in my mercy.
- 44:32My door is open. It's always open.
- 44:35And we forget this. God's door's always open.
- 44:37We're the ones using the fire exit, right?
- 44:40Like where we're the ones shutting that door or not even
- 44:42taking the initiative or the intention of opening the door
- 44:45open to enter God's mercy. And you go send you come to me.
- 44:48I'll sort you out. Yeah, and also The thing is, a
- 44:52lot of people don't turn to Allah because they feel that
- 44:55what they're doing is more enjoyable for them than the last
- 44:57mercy and. People reach that stage.
- 44:59Of course, of course of think about gambling.
- 45:02The hype, the adrenaline, the the, the height of joy you reach
- 45:07when you put your money. You put £20 into a pot betting
- 45:10on football matches and you come out and you win 200 lbs.
- 45:13Wow, think about, imagine this. Yeah, buying a new pair of
- 45:17trainers. We think, wow, I know my
- 45:20football, I've made money. A height, a height that you
- 45:24reach which you, you can't be matched in your thoughts.
- 45:28You think, wow, what can be better than this?
- 45:31You know, for those who have smoked weed or for those who
- 45:34have done drugs or for those who get drunk, they may think that
- 45:37I'm enjoying myself, I'm in company.
- 45:39Or they may think, what will people think of me if I don't
- 45:41partake in this? For people who engage with the
- 45:43opposite gender, whatever you're doing and, and any, you know,
- 45:46sense of it, whether you're at home in, in the privacy of your
- 45:49house or whether you're meeting, you know, the opposite agenda
- 45:51frequently on a physical basis, that that pleasure that you
- 45:55think you're feeling, think about how you feel afterwards.
- 45:58Do you know what's? Scary.
- 45:59Go on. You know, you mentioned all of
- 46:00these things. Yeah.
- 46:02Many of them are major sins. OK, imagine dying in that state.
- 46:07Imagine dying while you're on the table.
- 46:10What? For example, alcohol is being
- 46:12served. Or you're in a state of Geneva.
- 46:14Or for example, you're in a state of, of wearing something
- 46:19which is, is bought from stolen money or money which is Haram,
- 46:23or you've eaten food which is Haram or whatever it is that
- 46:25there's so many ways in which we can indulge in pleasures which
- 46:29we think are pleasures or actually are, you know,
- 46:31deviance. And lead to our downfall in the
- 46:34next life. Yeah.
- 46:35The problem is we're not thinking of Akhara.
- 46:37We're not thinking. Of the next 100%, I fully agree.
- 46:39And I think we need to make that into a habit that, for example,
- 46:43you know, how we say the krilla, the krilla, the krilla is a
- 46:45habit. Once you make a habit and
- 46:47knowing the liquor that you're uttering, but also knowing that
- 46:51the next life is the permanent one.
- 46:53This is here because the only guarantee in this life is not
- 46:56comfort. The only guarantee in this life
- 46:58is not, you know, eating the best of foods or drinking the
- 47:01best of drinks or going to the best of holidays and swimming in
- 47:05the, I don't know, white sand beaches.
- 47:08And no, no, no, no. The only guarantee is death.
- 47:11Ahmed Sadigny the only guarantee is that Kulu nefsundai cartoon
- 47:17mote God promises bro, he's telling you every soul and last
- 47:21final without says every soul will taste death.
- 47:23And we've had many conversations about this on the aftermath of
- 47:27podcast, and I think people should check them out because I
- 47:30think it's a reality check. Shout out to Saint Ali.
- 47:33Dunya is temporary and even we have the nice convo with, say,
- 47:36Abdullah Nabi regarding death. What a guy.
- 47:40Amazing guy. Subscribe to After Walking.
- 47:43Up and I said in the beginning of the conversation that I'm
- 47:45going to bring up the the six points of Amir Al Mukmanin and I
- 47:49brought them up so let me mention them.
- 47:51Imam Ali Ali Salaam, he says repentance is made-up of six
- 47:56elements, remorse of the hearts, seeking forgiveness with the
- 48:02tongue, making amends with limbs, firm intention not to
- 48:07return to the sin, fasting the body and performing acts of
- 48:13obedience. Wow, so I would have thought it
- 48:16ended at #4 where you make an intention not to return, but
- 48:19then the fasting of the body is the purification of the physical
- 48:23element. And then what was the last one
- 48:25you said? Acts of obedience and
- 48:26performing. Acts of obedience.
- 48:27It's a Panama. So you you make a knee, you then
- 48:31do physical purification and spiritual purification.
- 48:34So Panama, I never thought of that.
- 48:36Johnny, it's beautiful. The keys to paradise are are
- 48:40available. Yeah, this is from Nashville.
- 48:42This is found in Najibullah by the peak of Eloquence himself.
- 48:49And there's one thing I want to also mention, and I think it's
- 48:52the last point from me, is that sometimes we find ourselves, for
- 48:56example, speaking about sins and everything.
- 48:58We find ourselves where we say, for example, a loss of hana
- 49:03wata, Allah has not given me success, A loss of Hana wata,
- 49:08Allah has not given me a path of Tofiq.
- 49:10There's no, we don't find the barrack or the blessings of
- 49:13Allah in our life. And many times it links back to
- 49:17our sins, Ahmed, our sins once we understand we're sinning and
- 49:23we do this that far God can open you so much doors you can't
- 49:27imagine. We read and do our command.
- 49:30Allah Mahfredekul addendum add Neptune, Allah Mahfrede and
- 49:35nobility. You know, we pray to Allah every
- 49:39day. Sometimes I know people.
- 49:40So you know, Ali, I've been praying hard.
- 49:43I pray for this. I pray for that, but it's not
- 49:45coming my way. It's not coming to my favor.
- 49:47Last final to Allah is not answering my heart yards is not
- 49:52granting me my wishes and a love is linked to that sense.
- 49:56And I think if we understand that sometimes our sins like if
- 50:00you reflect on the alchemy, we're sending a lost man out to
- 50:03Allah to forgive us those sins that prevent my dua from
- 50:07reaching you. That means it's not God's mom
- 50:12Wolfbeck. It's all down to us, down to
- 50:15you, to ourselves. Does that make sense?
- 50:18Yeah, 100%. It reminds me of that container
- 50:20thing. Basically, you know, you know,
- 50:23people say why is Allah's mercy not reaching me, bro?
- 50:26It's not Allah's mercy. Mercy is not dependent on
- 50:30Allah's mercy is not different for this guy and that guy.
- 50:33Allah's mercy is is is independent of of Himself.
- 50:38I don't impress. My my my.
- 50:40Subject bro. Like Allah's mercy does not
- 50:42differ from person A to B OK, he may shower different styles type
- 50:48formats of mercy on different people, but why?
- 50:55Did you say a lot? I think you said a lot.
- 50:58May shower in different styles. You're supposed to say may
- 51:02shower you. No, I was about to say, Allah
- 51:06may shout different types of mercy on people, no?
- 51:08It came out differently. Oh, really?
- 51:11Like, OK, let me rephrase that. Allah may shout people with
- 51:14different types of mercy, OK, but the mercy Allah gives is
- 51:17Allah's mercy, OK? It's perfect in every sense of
- 51:20itself. So but of course it's, it's the
- 51:23way in which it's received that, you know, it could we can judge
- 51:26it off. You know, I said like the I
- 51:29can't remember. What was the point you mentioned
- 51:31about the container thing that reminded me of the container
- 51:34thing? We're talking about, for
- 51:35example. It's down to us.
- 51:37Yeah, yeah. Yeah, we're doing things that
- 51:38are causing a barrier, yes, or a veil between US and Allah.
- 51:41And things which we think are causing a barrier maybe in
- 51:44itself a rahma from Allah. Do you know what I mean?
- 51:46People who think, oh, you know, like for example, the swamavan,
- 51:51I haven't had time to spend to reflect.
- 51:53I've wanted to be alone. I'm stuck with my family.
- 51:56And my parents are telling me, go here, go there.
- 51:58For example, bro, that's rahma you're spending with your
- 52:01family. Think of that as a mercy from
- 52:02Allah. So what you need at this time of
- 52:03place, people are thinking I'm injured, this Lomovan, You know,
- 52:07there are ladies for example who think I can't fast this Lomovan.
- 52:10Mothers who are breastfeeding, ladies who are pregnant, There
- 52:13may be conditions where ladies are not in the position to fast.
- 52:16They may think this is a bird. I wanted to fast, I wanted to
- 52:19partake. You know, ladies, I know this is
- 52:21kind of getting into a bit and it's not really our topic.
- 52:23Ladies, when they reach a certain age, fasting becomes
- 52:27dangerous for them like or even men.
- 52:29But when you become to an age of seniority, an elderly age, it
- 52:32becomes difficult to fast. My grandmother, for example,
- 52:35male protector, she's, she's at an elderly age.
- 52:38She says to me every year she says to me, Ahmed, I wish I
- 52:41could fast more. I try and push myself.
- 52:44This I say to a baby, why do you stress think of this as Allah's
- 52:47mercy. In my opinion, Allah is giving
- 52:49you more strength in the day. So you could do more by that in
- 52:52different ways, right. Like you fasted however many
- 52:54years, 80 years of your life, for example, now you can't fast
- 52:5730 days in a row or however many you know, do your best and this
- 53:01is what she says do your best leave to God the rest So so hey,
- 53:04so this is what she tells me and and you know, I think that's a
- 53:07beautiful reminder for us all. Do your best this month.
- 53:09Leave to a lot of the rest. This is it has to be our motto
- 53:13and that the level of best. I think the points all you've
- 53:16mentioned are amazing, but I think ultimately what you're
- 53:19telling people do is just try your best, try your best.
- 53:22You you can't fall on your face in in front of alas Pantala when
- 53:27you're trying, you know, minimal effort is recognised by Allah,
- 53:31the bare minimum. He will recognise that you put
- 53:33in some effort any effort. Read the Qurans, even if you set
- 53:37a timer on your iPhone 5 minutes a day.
- 53:39Read the Quran, you know, pray before you eat, for example.
- 53:43These are things you may have seen I've put out on the
- 53:44aftermarket channel, but these are small things, implementable
- 53:48things that we can do. Drink Shahramadhan, small
- 53:51implementable things. Make sure you pray your Fajr
- 53:55every night on the dot, for example.
- 53:57I know most of us do that during Shahramadhan.
- 54:00Some people for example, they'll eat at midnight, they'll say I'm
- 54:03tired, I'm going to go to sleep, I'm not waking up for.
- 54:05So hoard going to sleep all night for example.
- 54:08Think about things which you can do to improve start doing salata
- 54:12lail before fudge of we have this habit of like yeah, and we
- 54:18have this habit of stuffing ourselves and the last 20
- 54:20minutes before salata fudge of Yeah last minute fag, last
- 54:25minute cigarette cup of water. Do you know what I mean?
- 54:28People are doing everything they can honestly, bro, anything they
- 54:32can hydration, tobacco, nicotine, all of that cram it in
- 54:35before the fast starts, am I right?
- 54:37Yeah. Think about think about how you
- 54:39can do it by the for Salat al Fajr, that's the best time in
- 54:42the night. So Wyatt says again and again
- 54:44and again and again that that that few those few minutes
- 54:48before Salat al Fajr are the most blessed times of the day.
- 54:53So I think there's there's look, there's a lot you can do lot we
- 54:56can all do find something, take it, enjoy it, subscribe and just
- 55:02try your best our. Sense and just like you said,
- 55:05make sure you pray fajr on time. Make sure you pray Maghrib but
- 55:09not after Maghrib. But who's going to pray?
- 55:12You have to pray after maghrib in it.
- 55:14No, bro. By a minute, maybe by a minute,
- 55:16yeah. Boys have to pray after market.
- 55:17You can't pray before marketing. But trying to bring the brand in
- 55:19somehow, yeah. The game bro.
- 55:21How was your Afghan Chinese? I love it.
- 55:24I think I've. I've got.
- 55:25No, I've finished it. Yeah, I love that.
- 55:26I'm not even going to lie. Guys, you can see on the table,
- 55:31we have a concentrate there. Looks like pomegranate juice,
- 55:35but I promise you it's not It's needs a bite.
- 55:39It's basically no, no, please, bro, I want to talk about I want
- 55:41to talk about the concentrate. It's it's basically it's a cold
- 55:46liquid that you put hot tea in hot water, hot hot milk in.
- 55:49Sorry, hot, hot milk lasts you up to a month.
- 55:53Amazing stuff and another exciting announcement and
- 55:56inshallah you guys will see next week during our first episode in
- 56:02the holy month. We have an absolutely amazing
- 56:06partner for Shahramadhan, a partner who we have wanted to
- 56:11work for specifically at Hamdallah.
- 56:13We've, we've had the opportunity to work with different
- 56:15organisations this month, but we selected to work with this
- 56:19organization, which we'll talk about next week for the reason
- 56:22that we think that this is an organization which brings a lot
- 56:26of benefit to the community during Shahramadhan and even
- 56:29outside, of course, around the world and different times of the
- 56:32year. So keep an eye out on our
- 56:35Instagram page. We're going to be talking about
- 56:38this organization we're going to be working with.

- 56:43to be supporting some of their campaigns and all we ask for you
- 56:46to do is to support the campaigns as well.

- 56:59colour of your eyes. I love you.

- 57:10I do love it, Mama. If you love ABBA Abdullah, not
- 57:12just I love you, Allah loves you sounds.
- 57:15Mashallah you have a talent Habibi.
