Transcript
- 0:09Speaker 1: Inside the Birds is back.
- 0:14Speaker 2: What's going on?
- 0:15Speaker 1: It is Jeff Mosher, Adam Kaplan. We are in the
- 0:18Speaker 1: middle of the week. We got the Eagles coming up
- 0:21Speaker 1: on a first preseason game against the Baltimore Ravens.
- 0:24Speaker 3: But there's some news.
- 0:25Speaker 1: Coming out of training camp, and Adam, you and I
- 0:27Speaker 1: want to hit on some really pressing subjects coming out
- 0:31Speaker 1: of Vic's press conference and of course what's going on
- 0:34Speaker 1: at OTAs before we really get into the preseason game
- 0:37Speaker 1: later this week. The first bit of news, and it's
- 0:40Speaker 1: not new news, but it's to me something that puts
- 0:43Speaker 1: it more into perspective, and that's really about Jonathan Grenard.
- 0:48Speaker 3: You know, he started camp on PUP.
- 0:50Speaker 1: I know you and Andrew discussed it in the belief
- 0:52Speaker 1: he'd be out two to four weeks because of the
- 0:54Speaker 1: peck strain that he had from weightlifting. Right, well, we're
- 0:58Speaker 1: already two weeks saying a little bit more about next
- 1:01Speaker 1: week will be week three, and Vic Fangio said, this
- 1:04Speaker 1: guy is weeks at least away from being able to
- 1:08Speaker 1: come back, and Vic basically put the gabage on and
- 1:11Speaker 1: even coming back before camp. So Adam, that would mean
- 1:14Speaker 1: that the season would start with Grenard having absolutely no practice,
- 1:18Speaker 1: no camp, and he's already coming off last year's shoulder injury.
- 1:23Speaker 1: So I think it's a it's a it's an unfortunate
- 1:27Speaker 1: thing for him. For the Eagles, he was the biggest
- 1:28Speaker 1: offseason edition, But really it kind of puts into question
- 1:32Speaker 1: what their edge rotation, A, what they're gonna do from
- 1:35Speaker 1: a fifty three man standpoint at that position and be
- 1:38Speaker 1: what it's gonna look like at for the first few
- 1:40Speaker 1: weeks of the year.
- 1:41Speaker 4: All Right, Grenard is coming back from major shoulder surgery.
- 1:44Speaker 4: Let's call it like it is. Okay, Then he strained
- 1:46Speaker 4: his spectru muscle working out and we don't know if
- 1:49Speaker 4: to say if it's the same side as he had
- 1:50Speaker 4: the surgery.
- 1:51Speaker 3: That concerns me.
- 1:53Speaker 4: And I was talking to a former NFL general manager
- 1:54Speaker 4: at Ravens practice on Tuesday, UH, and he's like, we
- 1:59Speaker 4: were just talking about coming back from soldier shoulder, triceps,
- 2:04Speaker 4: all sorts of of injuries with your upper body. He goes,
- 2:08Speaker 4: you can't really left, you can't on that side. You
- 2:11Speaker 4: just can't do it whatever, whatever it's been impacted, And
- 2:15Speaker 4: the worst would be if he had the shoulder, let's sakes,
- 2:18Speaker 4: his left shoulder surgery and the right pack.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Think about how the hell.
- 2:21Speaker 4: Is he gonna left?
- 2:22Speaker 3: Right?
- 2:22Speaker 4: So, so the question is whether not whether he'll be
- 2:25Speaker 4: ready week one. How he said it perfectly said it.
- 2:28Speaker 4: He was pretty clear he's gonna be ready for week one.
- 2:29Speaker 4: But as you said, it didn't mean it doesn't mean
- 2:31Speaker 4: he's going to practice leading up well during the he
- 2:34Speaker 4: he won't be able to play week unless at least
- 2:35Speaker 4: get some practice time in a week one he has to.
- 2:38Speaker 4: But think about it, he'll have not practiced since last season. Yeah,
- 2:46Speaker 4: that's that's like, that's not good.
- 2:48Speaker 1: No, that is significant. But I mean again, this was
- 2:51Speaker 1: this was the key off season edition. You traded a
- 2:54Speaker 1: couple of third round picks for him. He was your
- 2:56Speaker 1: replacement for Jalen Phillips. And when you don't have him,
- 2:59Speaker 1: or if you don't have one, you're back to that. Yes,
- 3:02Speaker 1: Jelex Hun's had a good camp, Right, you're back to
- 3:04Speaker 1: that rotation of Hunt and Nolan Smith who's been inconsistent.
- 3:08Speaker 1: And now you're you're looking at Arnold Van Ketty slash
- 3:12Speaker 1: a j and Panessa. If he makes it so, it
- 3:14Speaker 1: makes you wonder does Vic come out of that three
- 3:17Speaker 1: edge shall.
- 3:18Speaker 3: And say I gotta play more guys. He should.
- 3:21Speaker 4: He should be, particularly in the hot weather as we're
- 3:23Speaker 4: going to get early in the season, generally in the
- 3:26Speaker 4: low to mid eighties is And obviously they played Washington
- 3:29Speaker 4: Week one, so it's an East coast game. We know
- 3:32Speaker 4: how it is in September until we get to late
- 3:33Speaker 4: September and then it gets really beautiful. But we should
- 3:36Speaker 4: mention during for their transactions. The one that I found
- 3:40Speaker 4: interesting is they brought an old face back. I don't
- 3:42Speaker 4: know how many times Shawn Jackson has been here, but
- 3:45Speaker 4: he's back. He's back, and he's an edge rusher, that's
- 3:47Speaker 4: what he is. He's not a linebacker. He's an edge rusher,
- 3:50Speaker 4: that's right. So that would speak to it that they
- 3:54Speaker 4: could use another body for a preseason right, you know,
- 3:57Speaker 4: because typically they don't play the starters. We'll talk more
- 4:00Speaker 4: about that for Friday show, about what the plan looks
- 4:02Speaker 4: like or what we're hearing or so forth. But I
- 4:05Speaker 4: do want to talk about and we'll get back to
- 4:07Speaker 4: the second. The de Kwon right transaction caught me by
- 4:12Speaker 4: major surprise, and that major it caught me by surprise.
- 4:14Speaker 4: I did not see that, as I told you, when
- 4:16Speaker 4: it happened the fact that he didn't even get a
- 4:19Speaker 4: chance to be in the preseason game tells you how
- 4:21Speaker 4: far he was away. Not only would he not be
- 4:22Speaker 4: ready this season, they think he could help him, He
- 4:25Speaker 4: wasn't even think about it.
- 4:26Speaker 2: He could be he could have been claimed off waivers.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Right, Like that's that's that's that's concerning to me, Like, wow,
- 4:33Speaker 4: what happened to him? Because it's funny, we never actually
- 4:36Speaker 4: we went up never talking about it because he didn't
- 4:38Speaker 4: seem like he's make any plays and he apparently wasn't.
- 4:41Speaker 1: And he immediately gets claimed off waivers by the Browns.
- 4:43Speaker 1: So I mean, you know, other teams had him on
- 4:45Speaker 1: the radar. And what's fascinating to me, and we'll get
- 4:48Speaker 1: into this a little bit later in the show. Also
- 4:50Speaker 1: is that the tight end picture is sort of like
- 4:53Speaker 1: screwy for the Eagles right now as they look for
- 4:57Speaker 1: the right combination of guys to be able to be
- 5:00Speaker 1: on the fifty three man that can either catch block
- 5:03Speaker 1: both maybe contribute on special teams. So you would have
- 5:07Speaker 1: thought that they would have taken it down to the wire.
- 5:09Speaker 1: I don't know, maybe there's something behind the scenes that
- 5:11Speaker 1: we haven't heard or found out yet. But I thought
- 5:14Speaker 1: that was a really strange early goodbye for a guy
- 5:17Speaker 1: who we said could be I remember saying, this guy,
- 5:20Speaker 1: I could see him being like the darling of training
- 5:22Speaker 1: camp because it's explosive. You can make a bunch of
- 5:25Speaker 1: catches and things like that, and he's not even gonna
- 5:27Speaker 1: get that opportunity.
- 5:29Speaker 4: You know what's crazy about him being claimed is that
- 5:32Speaker 4: they have Harold Fannon, who was great as a rookie
- 5:34Speaker 4: tears of pass catching right. They have former Eagle Jack
- 5:38Speaker 4: stall Okay who who's a y ten end and line blocker.
- 5:42Speaker 4: They drafted two tight ends, albeit late third day picks.
- 5:45Speaker 4: They had they Blake white Hart, who's been on the
- 5:49Speaker 4: roster on off the roster about three years. But they
- 5:53Speaker 4: want to developmental tight end. It's not like they have
- 5:55Speaker 4: no well they could get they could guess that right.
- 5:58Speaker 4: Obviously didn't do well because the Equals cut him this early.
- 6:02Speaker 4: But that's it's just I cannot believe, like you wouldn't
- 6:05Speaker 4: like you wouldn't least let him practice, like go to
- 6:07Speaker 4: the it get into the a preseason game on Saturday.
- 6:11Speaker 4: And by the way, Jaden Roberts, one of the three
- 6:14Speaker 4: players they cut on Monday got claimed. The undirected free
- 6:17Speaker 4: agent guard got claimed by the Falcons.
- 6:19Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, you know what it reminds me of a
- 6:21Speaker 1: little bit, just in like, you know, the anticipation and
- 6:25Speaker 1: for not to even make it this far. Is the
- 6:27Speaker 1: Carson strong ordeal from a couple of years ago, the
- 6:30Speaker 1: Nevada quarterback who obviously had a lot of knee issues
- 6:33Speaker 1: and everything like that, but he had a strong arm
- 6:35Speaker 1: and everybody thought of him as a quarterback and he
- 6:37Speaker 1: didn't even make it out of what like OTA's I
- 6:40Speaker 1: think even he had.
- 6:42Speaker 4: He had existing injury problems which were concerned by the way.
- 6:45Speaker 4: Another fun fact, there were only two players claimed on
- 6:49Speaker 4: on Tuesday. They were both ex egals crazy Lajah Mitchell.
- 6:56Speaker 4: It's just you feel for him. It's I haven't seen
- 6:59Speaker 4: any like he got put on IR on Monday. Yep,
- 7:02Speaker 4: I don't know if I've seen luckily, and he passed
- 7:03Speaker 4: through waivers on claims she went he he actually he
- 7:07Speaker 4: he went on IR.
- 7:09Speaker 2: So I'm not saying anything like this before.
- 7:11Speaker 4: This is insane that the type of injuries and it's
- 7:14Speaker 4: a shame for him.
- 7:15Speaker 2: But just to move on here, yeah, that one, but
- 7:18Speaker 2: now they're back.
- 7:19Speaker 4: They only have Eagles only have seven tight ends left
- 7:21Speaker 4: in the roster, which is I know, part of what
- 7:22Speaker 4: we're gonna talk about today.
- 7:23Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 7:24Speaker 1: Yeah, Also on the injury from coming out of VIC
- 7:27Speaker 1: and the defensive injuries. You know, Jonathan Jones has been
- 7:31Speaker 1: out of practice a little bit here now, and we
- 7:33Speaker 1: thought this was we knew.
- 7:35Speaker 3: We said this was a.
- 7:36Speaker 1: Very important camp for the Eagles in terms of backup
- 7:40Speaker 1: corner positions because it's been perilous for them. They've been
- 7:44Speaker 1: fortunate to not have injuries in the last few years.
- 7:48Speaker 1: But here you have a case where Jonathan Jones is
- 7:50Speaker 1: a veteran. You got to see what he's got left
- 7:52Speaker 1: now he's out of practice for a little bit. Trey
- 7:55Speaker 1: Castro Fields is a name that all of a sudden
- 7:58Speaker 1: got bumped up the chart. Mac McWilliams. Vick actually mentioned
- 8:01Speaker 1: mac McWilliams really maturing.
- 8:03Speaker 3: I think one of them.
- 8:05Speaker 1: I think Castor Fields was doing well and then he
- 8:07Speaker 1: also had to leave practice early. So it's kind of
- 8:11Speaker 1: a weird situation for backup corner right now, Adam, because
- 8:14Speaker 1: this was supposed to be a real fact finding summer
- 8:17Speaker 1: about Jonathan Jones.
- 8:19Speaker 4: It was he's their third corner he is. He is
- 8:21Speaker 4: not even he hasn't been challenged, so he's got a
- 8:23Speaker 4: shoulder entry. By the way, it sounds like he's gonna
- 8:26Speaker 4: he's gonna be out a bit. Doesn't mean he won't
- 8:28Speaker 4: be ready week one, but he's.
- 8:29Speaker 2: Not playing this week for sure. Yeah, So yeah, that's
- 8:31Speaker 2: not good.
- 8:32Speaker 4: Like he's a thirty three year old corner which he
- 8:34Speaker 4: turns in September. That means your thirty three in NFL years.
- 8:36Speaker 4: That's the way that the clubs look at it. That's
- 8:39Speaker 4: a problem. That's a problem with Jaicoinn Bennett number twenty
- 8:41Speaker 4: three boy talk about a preseason game really needing.
- 8:46Speaker 2: To help him.
- 8:47Speaker 4: He has not got Mac mcwiams is ahead of him.
- 8:49Speaker 4: That's what Vick is really saying. M Hm, that's not
- 8:52Speaker 4: good man, That that's a that's a problem. So that
- 8:54Speaker 4: that's a concern of mine, that that they just don't
- 8:57Speaker 4: have the quality of depth right now at corner like
- 8:59Speaker 4: this is this is one of our trip this is
- 9:01Speaker 4: one of our training camp questions. Body of death the corner,
- 9:04Speaker 4: and it's clearly not good enough, particularly with Jones getting hurt.
- 9:07Speaker 1: Yeah, and if you listen to Vic who is the
- 9:10Speaker 1: most honest of all of the people who have.
- 9:13Speaker 3: A microphone in front of them.
- 9:15Speaker 1: He was asked the boat about Castro Fields and about
- 9:18Speaker 1: McWilliams clearly had more praise for the maturation and what
- 9:22Speaker 1: he about for mac McWilliams.
- 9:24Speaker 3: He's liked what he has seen.
- 9:25Speaker 1: I mean he he even said, I'd like to tell
- 9:27Speaker 1: you what I've been telling him, but it's not clean
- 9:29Speaker 1: for you know, I can't see that. It's one of
- 9:31Speaker 1: the camera, which is you know, his way of saying, yeah,
- 9:35Speaker 1: I like what he what he's been doing. I mean
- 9:36Speaker 1: he gave Fields the coach speak praise. He's done a
- 9:41Speaker 1: good job. He's been here a while, he's competing, He's
- 9:43Speaker 1: picked it up. Fields has really good size. I mean,
- 9:46Speaker 1: he's got He's played in the NFL before. I think
- 9:48Speaker 1: he's played twelve games. He's with the command I know
- 9:51Speaker 1: he's he was with the forty nine ers when he
- 9:53Speaker 1: came to the Eagles, right because they love X forty
- 9:56Speaker 1: nine ers.
- 9:56Speaker 3: We talk about that all time.
- 9:57Speaker 1: But I believe he played his games with the Manders
- 10:00Speaker 1: and the Panthers.
- 10:01Speaker 3: If I'm not mistaken, I know's yeah.
- 10:02Speaker 2: He's yeah. The Eagles were his fourth team.
- 10:05Speaker 4: Been on IR a lot he's twenty seven years old,
- 10:08Speaker 4: six round and twenty two get another former forty nine
- 10:11Speaker 4: er draft pick.
- 10:13Speaker 2: Yeah, he but he's got good size.
- 10:15Speaker 4: I mean, he's he's there.
- 10:17Speaker 2: I don't want to call it dire straits, but they
- 10:19Speaker 2: just don't know.
- 10:22Speaker 4: They don't know who they If they keep a fifth quarter,
- 10:23Speaker 4: they have no idea who it is, and they don't
- 10:24Speaker 4: know who the fourth corner is. So they've they've got
- 10:27Speaker 4: they've got a fact fighting mission through these three training
- 10:29Speaker 4: these three three preseason games.
- 10:32Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean, I think it's safe to say mac
- 10:34Speaker 1: McWilliams and castrow Fields are going to get a whole
- 10:36Speaker 1: lot of reps against the Ravens. And it'll be you know,
- 10:40Speaker 1: the Ravens, and I know you've been at Baltimore's camp.
- 10:42Speaker 1: They've got some receivers who are looking pretty good there.
- 10:44Speaker 1: So it'll be a good opportunity to get these corners
- 10:47Speaker 1: and tested against some guys who've been playing some pretty
- 10:50Speaker 1: good ball.
- 10:51Speaker 4: Yeah, we'll talk about that Friday morning for a Friday
- 10:53Speaker 4: morning show which will preview the game. But the guy, unfortunately,
- 10:57Speaker 4: Jacobe Lang, got all the play on Tuesday's practice.
- 11:01Speaker 2: When Nate Wiggins got hurt.
- 11:02Speaker 4: They got they went up for a ball, deep deep
- 11:05Speaker 4: ball in the left corner of the end zone and
- 11:08Speaker 4: they got tangled up and Nate Wiggins it didn't look
- 11:11Speaker 4: good and it just didn't look good. But Choby, Jacoby Lane,
- 11:15Speaker 4: apparently it's been other than other than the Flowers, the
- 11:19Speaker 4: most impressive receiver training camp.
- 11:21Speaker 3: Uh yeah.
- 11:22Speaker 1: Every at the end of every day, I try to
- 11:24Speaker 1: go through each team's like beat reporter and I have
- 11:26Speaker 1: a list on Twitter, oka and it was starting to
- 11:30Speaker 1: get to a point where I was thinking Jacoby Lane
- 11:32Speaker 1: was like the Hank Basket of the of the because
- 11:35Speaker 1: it seems like every day he's making unbelievable catches.
- 11:39Speaker 3: So, uh yeah, and we'll see.
- 11:42Speaker 1: So yeah, he has a big deal, right, And he's
- 11:45Speaker 1: not fastest guy in the world, but he's's a contested
- 11:47Speaker 1: catch merchant.
- 11:48Speaker 4: So he's let's put it this way, he runs better
- 11:51Speaker 4: than you probably think. He's not explosive, but he's not
- 11:54Speaker 4: slow and he's not stiff. But getting back to uh,
- 11:59Speaker 4: this situation with the Eagles that this preseason game. Man,
- 12:03Speaker 4: I haven't looked forward to a preseason game, but I
- 12:04Speaker 4: don't know how many years are actually looking forward to it,
- 12:06Speaker 4: to be.
- 12:07Speaker 3: Honest, with you.
- 12:07Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, no, it should be interesting, all right. So
- 12:11Speaker 1: the tight end situation.
- 12:12Speaker 2: All right, let's get back there.
- 12:14Speaker 1: This is a little bit of like projection projection because
- 12:16Speaker 1: we're just looking forward. There's still plenty of camp time
- 12:19Speaker 1: and time for things to settle it out. But we
- 12:22Speaker 1: know this, We know that Dallas Goddard and Eli Stowers
- 12:25Speaker 1: are taking up two spots on the fifty three. And
- 12:28Speaker 1: we also I feel very safe and I'm sure you
- 12:30Speaker 1: do too in saying this. Right now, Eli Stowers, he's
- 12:35Speaker 1: struggling with the physicality of the game.
- 12:37Speaker 3: He's still new to the position.
- 12:38Speaker 1: He's not ready to play in the NFL right now,
- 12:41Speaker 1: and I don't think three more weeks of camp is
- 12:44Speaker 1: gonna make him all of a sudden stamp his fingers
- 12:46Speaker 1: and he's gonna be out there ready to contribute. We
- 12:48Speaker 1: already said in the offseason he's not going to be
- 12:50Speaker 1: a contributor week one. Don't look for this guy to
- 12:52Speaker 1: be like one of your rookie of the year. He's
- 12:55Speaker 1: already behind the eight ball, and now it's even more so.
- 12:57Speaker 3: He's struggling.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So you've got to keep those two eyes. You know,
- 13:01Speaker 1: the Eagles want to go. They may have carry four quarterbacks.
- 13:03Speaker 1: They may carry a ten or eleven offensive linemen. They're
- 13:06Speaker 1: gonna have to carry a lot of tackles and ends
- 13:09Speaker 1: on defense, edges on defense.
- 13:11Speaker 3: So you want to go light at tight end.
- 13:14Speaker 1: But you've got two locks and one of them is
- 13:17Speaker 1: not even gonna be able to I don't even think
- 13:19Speaker 1: elist hours could be active for a week one or
- 13:22Speaker 1: week two. I mean, we've got he's got to like
- 13:24Speaker 1: have a major turn of the page to even be that.
- 13:28Speaker 4: So because it's hard to put it, it's hard to
- 13:30Speaker 4: put him on the field because he just can't block.
- 13:32Speaker 1: Yet, right, and he's not a special teamer, Yeah, a
- 13:35Speaker 1: bon a five one.
- 13:37Speaker 3: So what do you do? You're the Eagles.
- 13:40Speaker 1: You want you're trying to incorporate an offense where you're
- 13:42Speaker 1: gonna play a lot of twelve personnel and you're looking
- 13:45Speaker 1: for good combination of pass catchers blockers, because when you
- 13:49Speaker 1: put Grant Calcaterra on the field, you lose a lot
- 13:52Speaker 1: in blocking. If you put yeah, you lose a lot
- 13:54Speaker 1: of blocking. You put Johnnymunt on the field, you almost
- 13:57Speaker 1: lose anything in pass catch and he can catch once
- 14:00Speaker 1: a while, but you're so.
- 14:02Speaker 3: You're in a bind.
- 14:03Speaker 1: If you're sean man and you're looking for the right combination,
- 14:05Speaker 1: knowing that your GM, your head coach, when they put
- 14:08Speaker 1: this roster together, they're not keeping five tight ends on
- 14:10Speaker 1: the fifty three.
- 14:13Speaker 4: Yeah, four is the most you would keep. And we
- 14:15Speaker 4: know that god Ar's on it. Stours is an absolute
- 14:17Speaker 4: lot because he's a second round pick. Now, as we've
- 14:21Speaker 4: come to learn, cam Lats has an impressive camp. Now,
- 14:26Speaker 4: Andrew and I were talking about this off the air.
- 14:28Speaker 4: There's is their scenario where a Lotsu wins the wide
- 14:32Speaker 4: job over Johnny Munt. There absolutely is. Month's not making
- 14:36Speaker 4: a lot of money. He's also a guy that's vested.
- 14:39Speaker 4: You could work it out with the agent and say, hey, listen,
- 14:41Speaker 4: we we think Johnny deserves.
- 14:44Speaker 2: To be here, but we're we're in a roster crunch.
- 14:48Speaker 4: We ready owe him seven to fifty one point five million.
- 14:54Speaker 2: How about we want him here.
- 14:56Speaker 4: He's got three elevations, well we'll use one or two,
- 14:59Speaker 4: or he might save one, but we want him here
- 15:01Speaker 4: this fall. Would you be agreeing to it? Whereas with
- 15:04Speaker 4: Latsu you can do that. He's he's not vested the
- 15:06Speaker 4: subject to waivers if you cut him and you don't
- 15:09Speaker 4: like they did a good job here of scouting a
- 15:11Speaker 4: lot to like. The guy's a player. There's no question
- 15:12Speaker 4: the guy's a player. Last your staff did not use
- 15:15Speaker 4: him the correct way. We outline it by tape. Wasn't opinion,
- 15:18Speaker 4: as Greg says, it's it's it's based on tape. This
- 15:20Speaker 4: is what it looks like. Doesn't look right. But he's
- 15:23Speaker 4: had a really good camp. So we'll see what happens
- 15:26Speaker 4: in the preseason games. Obviously that's going to tell us more.
- 15:29Speaker 4: But I know where you're going here. So you've got
- 15:31Speaker 4: Calcataro doesn't block very well. Lat Two blocks well, and
- 15:33Speaker 4: he's he's a better athlete than Month. He's much younger, obviously,
- 15:37Speaker 4: right A. J. Jenkins Okay, not good enough, Stone smart,
- 15:40Speaker 4: not a blocker. There's your seven mm hmm. You can't
- 15:44Speaker 4: keep more than four, preferably you only keep three. And
- 15:47Speaker 4: you've got the ability to have money on the practice squad.
- 15:49Speaker 4: If he agrees to it with Goddard, Stours and Latto
- 15:52Speaker 4: as your as your three on the on the fifty three,
- 15:54Speaker 4: that makes way more sense than some of these other
- 15:57Speaker 4: Calcutaro to me.
- 15:58Speaker 1: Well, I would just say this though, I would just
- 16:00Speaker 1: say this because I've thought about that.
- 16:02Speaker 3: That mad to me made the most sense.
- 16:03Speaker 1: But if you're playing a game Week one and Dallas
- 16:06Speaker 1: Goddard's limping off the field, you don't have a pass
- 16:09Speaker 1: catching tight end. I mean LAT two is not a
- 16:12Speaker 1: true pass catcher.
- 16:13Speaker 4: Like, oh, well, if you have stours and active is
- 16:15Speaker 4: what you're.
- 16:15Speaker 3: Saying, yeah, correct, which is I am assuming what you
- 16:17Speaker 3: would have?
- 16:18Speaker 1: Yeah, So it almost makes me wonder if you know
- 16:21Speaker 1: how we always say like the initial fifty three is
- 16:24Speaker 1: not the same as the Week one fifty three, and
- 16:27Speaker 1: it doesn't. See, you may have to keep cal Katerra
- 16:30Speaker 1: on the fifty three until things develop, and then he
- 16:35Speaker 1: may not make it through the season because you have
- 16:37Speaker 1: to make moves to.
- 16:37Speaker 3: Reshape tight end.
- 16:38Speaker 1: But you need a guy who can catch passes at
- 16:40Speaker 1: that position pretty reliably, especially if you're gonna play a
- 16:43Speaker 1: lot a twelve personnel.
- 16:44Speaker 4: Well guess what, well again, you said week one, you
- 16:48Speaker 4: could also do the roster shuffle with Calkutra as well.
- 16:52Speaker 2: You can do both of them. You don't need to.
- 16:55Speaker 4: You don't need to keep both on the fifty three.
- 16:57Speaker 4: Just Calcatara. Yeah, he's a really good athlete, but at
- 17:00Speaker 4: the point of a tech, he gets blown off the football.
- 17:02Speaker 4: Of course you show this often on inside the tape.
- 17:06Speaker 4: It's like, I don't get it. And he too, is
- 17:09Speaker 4: not making a lot of money. The guarantee on his
- 17:10Speaker 4: contracts less than a million. See, the Eagles have so
- 17:14Speaker 4: much flexibility this year because if you go through I
- 17:17Speaker 4: just started to put together in my initial fifty three,
- 17:20Speaker 4: I'm pretty I'm pretty in tune with There are six
- 17:24Speaker 4: to eight spots open, usually only like three or four.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Sometimes two.
- 17:29Speaker 4: It's because it's not that the bottom of the roster's
- 17:31Speaker 4: not good enough. It's that there's some intriguing players but
- 17:35Speaker 4: they haven't quite made it yet. And these guard spots,
- 17:38Speaker 4: which we'll talk about down the line here, there are
- 17:41Speaker 4: so many interior offensive line jobs.
- 17:42Speaker 2: They don't know.
- 17:43Speaker 4: They're like, they know that Drew Kendl's on the roster,
- 17:45Speaker 4: he's the top back up interior lineman. That's all they
- 17:48Speaker 4: know that. That's all they know. They know Fred Johnson's
- 17:50Speaker 4: a backup left tackle. Okay Bell for now is a
- 17:54Speaker 4: backup right tucking. That's all they know about the offensive line.
- 17:56Speaker 4: You can't just keep eight.
- 17:58Speaker 1: If I could create sh app card to best represent
- 18:01Speaker 1: my family, it would be a cup of coffee, but
- 18:04Speaker 1: not in a mug. It would be in one of
- 18:06Speaker 1: those styrofoam to go cups, because basically that is our family,
- 18:10Speaker 1: always hitting those coffee places with the styrofoam cups. You
- 18:14Speaker 1: know them very well and nothing makes my kids happier
- 18:17Speaker 1: than hitting.
- 18:18Speaker 3: Up those places early and often.

- 22:08Speaker 4: But you gotta keep ten.
- 22:12Speaker 1: By the way, and we'll talk about this more down
- 22:14Speaker 1: the road. But because Bell has been practicing at second
- 22:16Speaker 1: team left tackle, I wonder if they're going to try
- 22:18Speaker 1: to play him there a little bit left in the
- 22:20Speaker 1: preseason games, just to see how he comes along, because
- 22:23Speaker 1: he's been doing that for the last few practice ever
- 22:25Speaker 1: since Lane Johnson came back.
- 22:27Speaker 2: They moved him. Yes, yes, yes, they did move him there.
- 22:32Speaker 1: I mean you and I both know we've been told
- 22:33Speaker 1: by a lot of can't move like a left tackle,
- 22:37Speaker 1: but they're trying.
- 22:39Speaker 4: Well, what's interesting, Bell line up exclusively be at right
- 22:42Speaker 4: tackle on OTAs until two days ago, only at right
- 22:45Speaker 4: tackle training. Can then Lane comes back? Okay, you want
- 22:48Speaker 4: to cross training, you want to see what it looks like.
- 22:50Speaker 4: He's he's just not a left tackle, not right now,
- 22:53Speaker 4: He's not agreed.
- 22:54Speaker 1: That's why I'll be interesting if they throw him out
- 22:55Speaker 1: there in a preseason game to see if he can
- 22:58Speaker 1: handle it or not.
- 22:58Speaker 3: It'll it'll be our first well.
- 23:00Speaker 4: But see on your point, remember they know Fred could
- 23:03Speaker 4: play right tackle because he filled him for Lane last year,
- 23:06Speaker 4: did a yeoman's job.
- 23:07Speaker 2: He did fine, he's a backup tackle.
- 23:09Speaker 4: Okay, it wasn't great, but he he did. Okay, But
- 23:12Speaker 4: what they don't know is if my Lota got hurt?
- 23:18Speaker 2: Are they Fred's not a great athlete, neither's Belle.
- 23:22Speaker 4: Maybe you just want to see if Belle see where
- 23:25Speaker 4: he's at, just to just take a look. You never
- 23:27Speaker 4: know until you try it. And unfortunately Cam Williams is
- 23:31Speaker 4: it's he's so far behind who he started right tackle
- 23:35Speaker 4: for Lane in week seventeen because the game didn't mean anything. Sure,
- 23:38Speaker 4: we eighteen whatever the hell was?
- 23:39Speaker 2: Yeah? We eighteen game seventeen.
- 23:41Speaker 1: I mean, shoot, if I'm the Eagles, i am getting
- 23:44Speaker 1: for if Fred Johnson please what you probably I'll get
- 23:46Speaker 1: him out early. I'll then I'll get Belle in a
- 23:48Speaker 1: right tackle, and then I'll get that kid who's impressing
- 23:50Speaker 1: everybody in at left tackle and see.
- 23:53Speaker 2: Yeah a Djuku, yeah, john O Duku.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Yeah, he's been a nice surprise.
- 23:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 23:58Speaker 3: I accidentally I was talking to this kid.
- 24:00Speaker 1: I was talking about this kid did the checko at
- 24:02Speaker 1: training camp the other day, and I pronounced his name wrong,
- 24:05Speaker 1: and he said, and the check was looking at me
- 24:07Speaker 1: like a Jomo?
- 24:08Speaker 3: What are you talking?
- 24:08Speaker 2: I'm like, no, no, you call Joma.
- 24:10Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 24:11Speaker 3: I must have said some combination of a Quoru and
- 24:13Speaker 3: a Joe. Oh no, remember who the edge that they
- 24:15Speaker 3: had last year?
- 24:17Speaker 2: Omo Concro.
- 24:18Speaker 1: Yeah, yeah, I combined Oconcro and uh and and uh
- 24:22Speaker 1: Jomo together to get this guy, and I completely butchered it.
- 24:26Speaker 1: But anyway, so yeah, so, but the point is tight
- 24:29Speaker 1: ends the conundrum right now, and the more I think
- 24:32Speaker 1: about I've also thought, does this help Johnny Wilson, who
- 24:36Speaker 1: can be your third receiver eleven personnel on the inside,
- 24:40Speaker 1: but kind of give you that blocking presence that a
- 24:43Speaker 1: tight end could give you to not have make the
- 24:45Speaker 1: team because he can do.
- 24:46Speaker 3: A little bit of both. It's all well, stuff they
- 24:48Speaker 3: have to figure out.
- 24:49Speaker 4: Yeah, plus a goal line. You could have a man
- 24:51Speaker 4: play action. Let him roll right, Let Jalen roll right,
- 24:53Speaker 4: wrote to Wilson in the corner. Because he's sixty six. Yeah,
- 24:56Speaker 4: there are things he can do and he's recovered nicely
- 24:59Speaker 4: from his major leg injury knee injury.
- 25:01Speaker 3: M hm.
- 25:02Speaker 2: So yeah, they they've got a lot of it's they've
- 25:05Speaker 2: got some tough decisions.
- 25:06Speaker 4: I mean, logic, Morris played himself into a serious consideration.
- 25:10Speaker 4: But problems special teams. You got the Hollywood Brown five
- 25:15Speaker 4: million guarantee. He hasn't made a lot of plays, but
- 25:17Speaker 4: we're gonna learn more in preseason. You know, he's gonna
- 25:19Speaker 4: get much more of a chance. Uh So, yeah, they're
- 25:23Speaker 4: there are a j Panesso who's had a good camp.
- 25:25Speaker 4: He's opened eyes our guy Chance Campbell. So there's a
- 25:31Speaker 4: lot to be decided. And and and finally, Maximus Pulley
- 25:35Speaker 4: is another guy. We'll talk more about Friday. Yeah, So yeah,
- 25:39Speaker 4: it's it's interesting, no doubt.
- 25:40Speaker 1: The other the other dB UH is playing all right
- 25:43Speaker 1: too chicken. Now they're all you know, all these guys
- 25:46Speaker 1: are doing this against third versus third, So it's not
- 25:48Speaker 1: that big of a deal. But like you say, there's
- 25:50Speaker 1: an open path away and guys are guys look pretty decent,
- 25:53Speaker 1: so it should be interesting. I just thought that the
- 25:56Speaker 1: corner that the situation with Grenard is a little bit
- 25:59Speaker 1: of a red flag at the moment, especially if we
- 26:01Speaker 1: find out that the peck strain is the same area
- 26:04Speaker 1: as the shoulder, because that's that could be connected. I mean, honestly,
- 26:08Speaker 1: I know I'm not saying the injury was connected, but
- 26:10Speaker 1: I'm saying, is you call up a shoulder injury, then
- 26:12Speaker 1: you're doing something else weightlifting, you're putting strained and you
- 26:15Speaker 1: strain the pack. It reminds me of how the triceps
- 26:18Speaker 1: for for Nolan Smith he had remember he had a
- 26:21Speaker 1: shoulder injury injury, then he had a triceps there, and
- 26:24Speaker 1: then he had another issue with his shoulder and triceps
- 26:27Speaker 1: last last year.
- 26:28Speaker 3: So you know that's a position.
- 26:30Speaker 4: It's not good and he's not it's also been through
- 26:33Speaker 4: a lot of lower body injuries.
- 26:36Speaker 2: It's not good. It's just not good.
- 26:38Speaker 4: And they're lucky that they've got pretty good quality depth there.
- 26:42Speaker 3: Yep, it's just.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Now we'll see.
- 26:45Speaker 4: We don't know about Gnard earlier early on the season,
- 26:47Speaker 4: what it's going to look like with him, how many
- 26:50Speaker 4: snaps he can handle, We don't know. Condition he's in right,
- 26:53Speaker 4: just in terms of game conditioning, physical condition, Who the
- 26:56Speaker 4: hell knows. Yeah, and then you know, Epinessa's been a
- 26:59Speaker 4: good stay man. He's another back end of the roster guys.
- 27:02Speaker 4: The guy's got plenty of starting experience.
- 27:05Speaker 2: He's a power end.
- 27:05Speaker 4: That's his that's a coaching term. He's really a run defender,
- 27:11Speaker 4: but who's gotten better as a pass rusher. So it's
- 27:14Speaker 4: gonna be fascinating to see what happens in this game.
- 27:16Speaker 4: As I said this, this could be kind of a
- 27:18Speaker 4: fun game.
- 27:18Speaker 2: On Saturday evening in Baltimore.
- 27:21Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 27:22Speaker 1: Hey, I wanted to ask you because Vick's mentioned that
- 27:24Speaker 1: a couple of people have when you've watched practice, do
- 27:27Speaker 1: you think you've noticed a faster looking or a slimmer
- 27:30Speaker 1: looking Jalen Hurts more explosive Jalen Hurts, and.
- 27:33Speaker 2: He did say he's moving better. Yeah, I don't. I didn't.
- 27:36Speaker 2: I didn't notice. Yeah, I wasn't looking at that.
- 27:38Speaker 1: Yeah, it's hard because he's always been a pretty good runner.
- 27:40Speaker 1: I did notice the practice I went through, which was
- 27:42Speaker 1: two hours he did. He did run quite a bit,
- 27:45Speaker 1: and you know, you can't The thing is you can't
- 27:47Speaker 1: tell is that the defense is not allowed to hit him,
- 27:49Speaker 1: so that they just let up. You know, he went
- 27:52Speaker 1: to the sideline once to get a first down. Nolan
- 27:54Speaker 1: Smith was sort of edging him, but no one kind
- 27:56Speaker 1: of didn't look like he was going at him because
- 27:58Speaker 1: why would you, He's the quarterback and hit him. So
- 28:01Speaker 1: but interestingly, they did run a low red zone play
- 28:05Speaker 1: and this goes to show that like they're not lying
- 28:07Speaker 1: when they say they're going to keep some things from
- 28:09Speaker 1: the old offense in. But they ran a low red
- 28:11Speaker 1: zone play where they spread the receivers out against Nicol
- 28:15Speaker 1: They found man they took. They motioned Barkley out of
- 28:18Speaker 1: the backfield into a slot and that made the linebacker
- 28:21Speaker 1: go with Barkley, so only one linebacker on the field.
- 28:24Speaker 1: We've seen this a million times. Usually that's a quarterback.
- 28:27Speaker 1: Draw from a spread formation right, and it was and
- 28:29Speaker 1: Hertz kept it and of course all they had to
- 28:31Speaker 1: do was have the lineman kick out and block the
- 28:34Speaker 1: linebacker and he scored and I thought, wow, that was
- 28:37Speaker 1: there was that play. I'm like, he sure got in
- 28:40Speaker 1: there pretty quickly. So I thought that was kind of
- 28:42Speaker 1: interesting in terms of just him looking pretty fast, pretty
- 28:47Speaker 1: splot spry, explosive getting that run game going again, Yep.
- 28:52Speaker 2: Real quick. I would say Jay look heavier.
- 28:56Speaker 4: In fact, I remember we were watching tape with Greg
- 28:58Speaker 4: and he did look a little bit heavier running.
- 29:00Speaker 2: He just didn't look as explosive.
- 29:02Speaker 3: I thought he looked reluctant. Even last year.
- 29:05Speaker 1: He was not running at times where I thought he
- 29:07Speaker 1: would ordinarily run. So I don't know what his mind
- 29:11Speaker 1: was or what was going on, but he But I
- 29:13Speaker 1: know if you're thinking about it though, if you're reluctant,
- 29:17Speaker 1: it might make you look yeah yeah, yeah.
- 29:20Speaker 4: No, he looks fine. He looks fine for the timing
- 29:22Speaker 4: things coming, it's coming. It's you know, it's better by
- 29:25Speaker 4: the day. It's still major work in progress for him.
- 29:28Speaker 4: I mean, it's funny. I was at the Giants practice
- 29:30Speaker 4: on Monday and then you see it with Jackson Dart.
- 29:34Speaker 3: M h.
- 29:34Speaker 4: He's just he's a playmaker. He's an explosive runner. He
- 29:38Speaker 4: throws off schedule a lot, he bails when he shouldn't bail.
- 29:42Speaker 4: But he's God makes plays that you can make, like
- 29:45Speaker 4: you go wow, and then the next play throws across
- 29:47Speaker 4: his body gets deflected, should have been picked off.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Like there you go, that's Jackson Dart right there.
- 29:51Speaker 1: You see all of it, you know, Yeah, so Jackson
- 29:55Speaker 1: and no nutshell, no, no doubt.
- 29:56Speaker 2: Man. By the way, they moved to West Coast. They
- 29:58Speaker 2: moved to West Coast with Matt Naggie.
- 30:00Speaker 1: That's what they're right, right, although they don't they have
- 30:02Speaker 1: Greg Roman there, which.
- 30:03Speaker 4: Is like, you know he's there because they're gonna have
- 30:05Speaker 4: a fullback and he's They're going to corporate power run
- 30:09Speaker 4: that's what Greg Roman is. So they're gonna mix Naggi's
- 30:12Speaker 4: spread West Coast with Roman. No, the Romans a senior
- 30:16Speaker 4: offensive system. But he's gonna have a lot of say
- 30:17Speaker 4: because Patrick Riccard is there.
- 30:21Speaker 3: Yeah, full back.
- 30:22Speaker 2: And how by the way, how crazy is it the
- 30:24Speaker 2: Ravens don't have a fullback.
- 30:26Speaker 3: I know that is really nuts.
- 30:28Speaker 1: I mean it's like decades of having a fullback there, right,
- 30:30Speaker 1: wasn't Yuschak there before he went to San Francisco?
- 30:33Speaker 3: Was he? Yeah? Correct? Yeah, yeah, yeah yeah crazy.
- 30:36Speaker 1: So so I don't forgive me if I get a
- 30:39Speaker 1: little bit like trembly. But when you tell when I
- 30:41Speaker 1: hear like the Matt Nagy eleven personnel spread, but then
- 30:45Speaker 1: the Greg Roman and John Harbaugh twelve personnel tight, I
- 30:49Speaker 1: think that.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 30:50Speaker 1: It makes me think of Doug's last year Cooks and
- 30:52Speaker 1: the Eagles, where he's got Rich Skangarello in one ear
- 30:55Speaker 1: and Marty morning Wagon the other ear.
- 30:57Speaker 4: Right, But here's the thing, Doug is kind of elbowed
- 31:02Speaker 4: and not its too higher. Yeah, someone from the West
- 31:05Speaker 4: coast tree, it's someone to be innovative, and yeah, I know,
- 31:08Speaker 4: I don't he didn't appreciate it, you know, he'd kind
- 31:11Speaker 4: of bristled and and and and some talk about that
- 31:14Speaker 4: they had to do this and that and the other.
- 31:15Speaker 4: But getting back to this as we finish, uh, getting
- 31:18Speaker 4: back to the Eagles, there's situation is interesting because there
- 31:22Speaker 4: there are a lot of interesting developmental offensive linemen.
- 31:24Speaker 2: We talked about that for a number of years.
- 31:26Speaker 4: Where are these guys, well, Jake Majors, Drew Kendall, Willie Lampkin,
- 31:30Speaker 4: who's coming on Finally it's taken enough time, but he's
- 31:32Speaker 4: coming on.
- 31:33Speaker 2: H Ojuku. Who's a guy they got from the Titans.
- 31:36Speaker 4: There was a street free agent who was who was
- 31:38Speaker 4: a sign It's an undrafted free agent.
- 31:40Speaker 2: But it's at the combine. But unfortunately Miles hintons he's
- 31:45Speaker 2: he needs a miracle to make it. Hollin Pearce is
- 31:48Speaker 2: another guy needs you know, he needs to practice squad
- 31:51Speaker 2: of seasoning or I mean the only way you can
- 31:53Speaker 2: make is if he had a great preseason, but he
- 31:55Speaker 2: could be better on the practice wing. Cam Williams, you know,
- 31:57Speaker 2: Cam Williams is on the outside.
- 31:58Speaker 4: Look at him right now. He's got he's got a
- 32:00Speaker 4: really pick it up to have a chance. But the
- 32:02Speaker 4: cool thing is with Majors Bell, Kendall, Lampkin, they finally
- 32:07Speaker 4: have developmental offensive line.
- 32:09Speaker 3: Finally.
- 32:10Speaker 1: Yeah, man, it's very pot The Eagles might be responsible
- 32:13Speaker 1: for like a pack of brontosauruses being available after cutdown.
- 32:16Speaker 1: Dam I mean, when you got guys like Holland Pierce
- 32:18Speaker 1: and Cameron Williams and who's.
- 32:20Speaker 3: The other guy? Even hitting hints not a small guy.
- 32:23Speaker 3: I mean these guys. These guys are all like six'
- 32:25Speaker 3: five and.
- 32:25Speaker 1: Over they're all three.
- 32:26Speaker 3: Twenty you, know they're big dudes man.
- 32:30Speaker 1: Here especially remember we said if you Put Holland pierce
- 32:34Speaker 1: next to who wasn't Like Makai beck.
- 32:36Speaker 2: And herself Or Bell Bell, Yeah MARK. L.
- 32:39Speaker 1: Bell, Yeah it's like they take up an entire city.
- 32:41Speaker 2: BLOCK i Wonder.
- 32:43Speaker 4: I'd have to look at the cobine numbers to see
- 32:45Speaker 4: who's bigger and.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Longer but.
- 32:49Speaker 4: It's kind of cool Because jeff AND i are into
- 32:52Speaker 4: kind of how things should put, together AND i think
- 32:54Speaker 4: it's really cool that they finally have guys, that you know,
- 32:59Speaker 4: what because last year they didn't have those, guys and
- 33:02Speaker 4: it hurt them With jurgons And dickerson's, injuries it really
- 33:04Speaker 4: hurt them for. Sure now they have them And Drew
- 33:06Speaker 4: kennell with the added weight game that doesn't guarantee you,
- 33:09Speaker 4: anything but it can. Hurt and his technique is, better he's,
- 33:13Speaker 4: stronger he looks. Better he's been crosstrated center and. Guards
- 33:17Speaker 4: so they got something going on. Here but to finish that,
- 33:20Speaker 4: off we're gonna learn a lot About Chris cooper because,
- 33:24Speaker 4: okay we're seeing. Progress but this isn't. Games this is
- 33:27Speaker 4: in the regular, season so you still don't know. Yet
- 33:30Speaker 4: but at least we're starting to see some.

- 34:35Speaker 1: snap penalties throughout. CAMP i had a couple more this,
- 34:38Speaker 1: Week so that's that's something in the preseason games they're
- 34:40Speaker 1: really gonna have to work.
- 34:41Speaker 3: On and that's gonna that's gonna come directly back on.
- 34:44Speaker 1: Him he's got to make sure not only is the
- 34:46Speaker 1: talent development, there but the, discipline the, assignment sound nature
- 34:50Speaker 1: of playing that position has to be there as, well.
- 34:52Speaker 4: And getting the plays in on. Time so, far you'd be,
- 34:58Speaker 4: going all, right he's gonna say better a, lot AND
- 35:03Speaker 4: i just BECAUSE i knew that has been, better.
- 35:06Speaker 2: BUT i couldn't tell you, yeah. EXACTLY i have a.
- 35:08Speaker 2: Stopwatch they, know coaches, know BUT i.
- 35:10Speaker 4: Don't you, know we couldn't tell exactly what the number,
- 35:12Speaker 4: is how much faster it.
- 35:13Speaker 2: Is but that's a big.
- 35:14Speaker 4: Deal, well there are still a lot of, questions but
- 35:18Speaker 4: We're as we did Our monday show for those of
- 35:20Speaker 4: you missed, it we answered a lot of questions that
- 35:21Speaker 4: we had pre pre, camp and we've got about seventy
- 35:25Speaker 4: five percent of an. Answer we still need, more which
- 35:27Speaker 4: of course you're you're only were.
- 35:29Speaker 2: You, know we're.
- 35:30Speaker 4: Not we even hit the first preseason, game but figures
- 35:33Speaker 4: starting round into shape a little. Bit we're starting to
- 35:35Speaker 4: learn a lot About, okay this, battle but still a
- 35:37Speaker 4: lot of battles are wide. Open Although Michael carter's Pushing
- 35:41Speaker 4: apps finally like, that now we finally have some. TRACKS
- 35:43Speaker 4: i Know andrew. DID i Had carter beating him. OUT
- 35:46Speaker 4: i felt like a chump the first. WEEK i was, like,
- 35:48Speaker 4: wow IT'S i don't know what fixed fascination is with,
- 35:51Speaker 4: ass but this is this is not this has taking
- 35:53Speaker 4: way too. Slow carter's better than. This, yeah now we're
- 35:55Speaker 4: starting to feel, it and this is why you play
- 35:58Speaker 4: those preseason. GAMES i here's the question for do you
- 36:00Speaker 4: think do you Think apps will play in the preseason
- 36:02Speaker 4: because he's technically a starter right.
- 36:03Speaker 2: NOW i don't.
- 36:04Speaker 3: KNOW i don't have answer a great.
- 36:05Speaker 1: QUESTION i, mean he doesn't have to because they already
- 36:09Speaker 1: they know what they've got IN, EPs so he doesn't have.
- 36:12Speaker 1: To it's one of those things that we've seen this
- 36:15Speaker 1: before where guy doesn't play in the preseason and the
- 36:17Speaker 1: public starts to think that that means he's a, lock
- 36:19Speaker 1: and then you, realize, no that that doesn't mean he's a.
- 36:21Speaker 1: LOT i, remember Remember Devin, Uh Devin, white the linebacker
- 36:24Speaker 1: when he didn't play that. Preseason, uh he didn't play
- 36:27Speaker 1: at all the. Preseason eybody, thought, oh he's definitely on,
- 36:29Speaker 1: team and he made, it but he really wasn't gonna
- 36:31Speaker 1: be factoring into the.
- 36:32Speaker 3: Plans SO i don't.
- 36:34Speaker 1: KNOW i don't think they'll need to play, him but
- 36:36Speaker 1: maybe they will because they don't have that many bodies
- 36:39Speaker 1: of the, position so he may have to play a quarter.
- 36:42Speaker 2: Yep so all, right good.
- 36:43Speaker 1: Stuff on the next, pod we will not only Preview
- 36:47Speaker 1: Eagles ravens and talk about what we're looking forward, seeing
- 36:49Speaker 1: but we're gonna get more of your observations from being
- 36:52Speaker 1: down In ravens, camp which is a real.
- 36:54Speaker 4: BONUS id like to do The, giants but it's so
- 36:57Speaker 4: god both camps back to back harball not At ravens.
- 37:00Speaker 2: Camp Jesse, mincher the young Jesse.
- 37:02Speaker 4: Minter uh huhse Dad rick was On Chip kelly's uh
- 37:06Speaker 4: staff here In, philly. Yep and then to go To
- 37:10Speaker 4: giants camp to see.
- 37:11Speaker 2: Hardball it's so.
- 37:12Speaker 4: Weird, yeah it's like it kind of sunk in because
- 37:17Speaker 4: he had a super long. Practice of, course he runs
- 37:19Speaker 4: along as practice in THE nfl mentor's like.
- 37:22Speaker 2: One the reporter, said oh he's.
- 37:24Speaker 4: Quick He, no he, doesn't and he has him earlier
- 37:27Speaker 4: in the day because he doesn't want his guys to
- 37:28Speaker 4: get burned.
- 37:29Speaker 2: Out marble has it right in the middle of a
- 37:31Speaker 2: one to.
