- 0:00Speaker 1: Yeah, that uh, Chuck Norris was chasing the Tyrannosaurus Rex.
- 0:05Speaker 2: The rex was not chasing the jeep. Murray, Murray, you there.
- 0:09Speaker 2: You love sandwiches. Huh, Let's go to uh eighty.
- 0:13Speaker 3: It was bo.
- 0:16Speaker 1: Wow that Prime Time. Maybe I had a crush on
- 0:18Speaker 1: Betty Rubbell. I honestly, until after the segment ended and
- 0:22Speaker 1: we went to a commercial break, had no idea that
- 0:24Speaker 1: Jonathan Coachman was black.
- 0:25Speaker 2: He caught them the game last night, although they won
- 0:28Speaker 2: the game.
- 0:29Speaker 4: You're listening to to Godsend Company.
- 0:31Speaker 1: The Great ad Nan Burke is joining us right now.
- 0:34Speaker 1: Him and his flapping headsets.
- 0:36Speaker 2: It makes me have.
- 0:38Speaker 1: Every single time that right ear is just flapping. Get
- 0:41Speaker 1: a new pair of headsets. What's the matter with you?
- 0:44Speaker 4: No pathetics? Do So I got these headphones sent to
- 0:46Speaker 4: me from the folks that I heard because they did
- 0:48Speaker 4: the NHL and scripted podcast for Con Demerse. And so
- 0:51Speaker 4: my son always steals my headphones because he likes the headphones,
- 0:54Speaker 4: and then I think conveniently stole them and then put
- 0:57Speaker 4: them I don't know, in one of the beds, and
- 0:59Speaker 4: I think my wife's slept on it. So now it's
- 1:00Speaker 4: got this flapping headphone thing, and you're right. I looked
- 1:02Speaker 4: it up, like how much it cost for a new pair?
- 1:04Speaker 4: One hundred bucks? But stubborn me, I'm like, well, no,
- 1:06Speaker 4: this was given to me by iHeart. Unless I hurt
- 1:08Speaker 4: sends me a new pair. Why would they send me
- 1:10Speaker 4: a new pair? This is a user air of their problem.
- 1:12Speaker 4: I'm not gonna spend the hundred bucks. I look at
- 1:13Speaker 4: an idiot with a flapping headphone for a lesson learned.
- 1:17Speaker 4: This is why not to hide the headphones for my son.
- 1:20Speaker 4: I should just give him the headphones and go buy
- 1:22Speaker 4: my own pair. Bike.
- 1:22Speaker 5: No, I want to proof him the lesson.
- 1:24Speaker 4: Dad less an idiot because you took my headphones and
- 1:26Speaker 4: somebody slept on it. This is where we're at.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Yes, so you're not going to get a new set
- 1:30Speaker 1: because you're expecting iHeart to replace the ones that they
- 1:32Speaker 1: sent you that you damaged.
- 1:34Speaker 4: Right, Yes, I'm hoping to see what's going on and
- 1:36Speaker 4: go and see the Show'm like, ah, they're just damaged.
- 1:37Speaker 4: I'll go to see a new pair and I'm hoping
- 1:39Speaker 4: they'll ask how it got damaged.
- 1:41Speaker 6: If they do, you're expecting your kid to learn the
- 1:45Speaker 6: lesson because you look like an idiot, right, all right,
- 1:48Speaker 6: I'm just trying to follow your logic here.
- 1:50Speaker 4: If I get a new pair, then's to go.
- 1:52Speaker 7: Great.
- 1:52Speaker 4: Then I give him this old pair. Mikey thinks it's
- 1:53Speaker 4: a win. Great, I got headphones and I want all. No,
- 1:55Speaker 4: Dad's gonna look stupid. You want headphones, Go get a job,
- 1:58Speaker 4: get your own pair. Everyone's stupp here.
- 2:01Speaker 1: And then we haven't spoken to you since game four.
- 2:04Speaker 1: Speaking of lessons that you teach your kids, Taylor, I
- 2:07Speaker 1: don't know if you noticed this, but Ariel Hawani, who
- 2:10Speaker 1: was on with us, taught his kid a very valuable
- 2:12Speaker 1: lesson about don't worry about your next day's school exam.
- 2:16Speaker 1: You stay up and you watch the end of the
- 2:17Speaker 1: next game because you never know how it's going to end,
- 2:19Speaker 1: and it might be a game you end up talking
- 2:21Speaker 1: about for the remainder of your life. And his kids
- 2:23Speaker 1: stayed up really late to watch that game. And I'm
- 2:26Speaker 1: not sure how we did on the test. I'm waiting
- 2:28Speaker 1: for Harriel to respond to me, but I think he
- 2:30Speaker 1: didn't do as well as he normally would have. Buddy
- 2:32Speaker 1: did stay up and watch one of the greatest games
- 2:35Speaker 1: at NBA history, and we haven't spoken to you since
- 2:38Speaker 1: that game happened, just take us through the roller coaster
- 2:41Speaker 1: of emotions.
- 2:42Speaker 2: I don't care if you're a Nick fan or not.
- 2:45Speaker 1: Anyone watching that game had to be saying to themselves,
- 2:48Speaker 1: oh my god, this is one of the greatest NBA
- 2:50Speaker 1: games comebacks I've ever seen.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Unbelievable stude and this is the thing. Living here in
- 2:54Speaker 4: North Jersey, just want to experience some of the Knicks magic.
- 2:56Speaker 4: The great Scott Rogowski dear.
- 2:58Speaker 5: Friend, of course, my colleague from our time on Zone.
- 3:00Speaker 4: We had a change up show. Of course, everyone knows
- 3:02Speaker 4: him HQ Trivia. He does his show in LA. Now
- 3:04Speaker 4: Savvy's his new app. I encourage people to check it out.
- 3:07Speaker 4: He said, I'm gonna be back in New York. I
- 3:08Speaker 4: sayry your choice. Tuesday, do you want to go see
- 3:10Speaker 4: a movie at the Trebeca Film Festival Or Wednesday, let's
- 3:12Speaker 4: go watch the next game somewhere and observe the debauchery,
- 3:15Speaker 4: he said on pro debauchery, he said, great. So Taylor
- 3:18Speaker 4: happened to text me right around as I was getting
- 3:20Speaker 4: into the city. Causecat goes, where do you want to
- 3:22Speaker 4: meet up? He goes, Maybe go Upper west Side? At
- 3:24Speaker 4: Upper west Side he was in Brooklyn, so he goes, well,
- 3:26Speaker 4: Brooklyn Upper West, I'll be easier. So I took the
- 3:29Speaker 4: Upper west Side exit off the nine A Hudson, and
- 3:31Speaker 4: I'm driving. I don't see anything going on. I don't
- 3:33Speaker 4: see any like I see a couple Knicks fans wandering.
- 3:35Speaker 4: But I said, this is a fairly sedate area. The
- 3:37Speaker 4: Beacon Theater. I love the the fiftieth anniversary taxa over there,
- 3:40Speaker 4: I said. I text me, I'm driving down Broadway. I'm
- 3:42Speaker 4: headed towards Midtown and that'll be that. So I get
- 3:45Speaker 4: theater district, I see Carnegie Diner. It's like fiftieth and
- 3:48Speaker 4: eighth whatever. Taylor text me, He goes, I just saw
- 3:50Speaker 4: your boy Ben Lyons at a Midtown restaurant. I said,
- 3:53Speaker 4: this is gonna be great. I'm not gonna tell Taylor,
- 3:55Speaker 4: but I might migrate down. I'll text Ben and then
- 3:58Speaker 4: it'll all converge together. But regardless, it was indep Ben
- 4:02Speaker 4: because Ben had faced him the other day wearing is
- 4:04Speaker 4: Samuel Dallen Bear Jersey. Taylor steam, I go, yeah, that
- 4:07Speaker 4: is absolutely Ben. He actually my verification of this just
- 4:10Speaker 4: days ago. He's a Samuel Dillenbar Jersey. And he should
- 4:13Speaker 4: have his buddy wearing Eddie Curry jersey, which we'll get
- 4:15Speaker 4: to in a second. Anyways, Ragowski meets me rags so
- 4:19Speaker 4: right out of the gate. So far as to it's
- 4:20Speaker 4: a little Tuesday like the Carnegie Diner. I walk in
- 4:23Speaker 4: restaurant like you got the thanks came on. Yep, five Knicks TVs.
- 4:26Speaker 4: But it's not packed. It's overwhelming. So the good news
- 4:28Speaker 4: that I can actually sit a set in the Coke zero,
- 4:31Speaker 4: so you know, dinner of Champions. No audio of the
- 4:34Speaker 4: game like that the real turn off. I gotta want
- 4:36Speaker 4: to hear ed Sheern music when I'm trying to listen
- 4:38Speaker 4: to Mike Breen. So Eggs gets there and he goes,
- 4:42Speaker 4: let's just have dinner and and of course the game
- 4:44Speaker 4: is in atrocity, so we spend more time ketchup than
- 4:46Speaker 4: actually watching the game. I said, the hacke and let's
- 4:49Speaker 4: just go near the garden. I just want to again
- 4:50Speaker 4: experience what this is like. Living in this area is yeah,
- 4:53Speaker 4: for sure. So we walked in. You can get to
- 4:54Speaker 4: thirty six and after that's barricaded, but once you get closer,
- 4:57Speaker 4: and he had the best line because it's like being
- 4:59Speaker 4: a war, it's like Bourbon Street. I said, there's just
- 5:01Speaker 4: just crowds everywhere. And the weed was unbelievable, And again,
- 5:06Speaker 4: do you want to smoke? You don't want to suppos
- 5:08Speaker 4: to find it's not my jam. But I was high
- 5:10Speaker 4: as a kite just from the second is i'mnipresent if
- 5:14Speaker 4: somebody said to me, how has life changed in the
- 5:16Speaker 4: last ten years? But that's the number one thing. Now
- 5:18Speaker 4: in the next you're playing, it's just enveloped in a haze, yes, haze,
- 5:22Speaker 4: so to speak. And then the other obvious notation is
- 5:25Speaker 4: just how many cops are there. I'm like, just just
- 5:27Speaker 4: an incredible like if you just made a joke, like
- 5:29Speaker 4: just pretend to punch a cop, you're getting taste right,
- 5:32Speaker 4: absolutely getting murdered by all these people. So it was
- 5:34Speaker 4: just and you're kind of trying to watch the game
- 5:36Speaker 4: outside the bar. Here's the stupidest thing I've seen. So
- 5:39Speaker 4: most people are kind of doing word of it. We're
- 5:40Speaker 4: stopping at the bar. You watch nixt are down by
- 5:43Speaker 4: eighteen points, okay, whatever, keep walking one place, I don't
- 5:45Speaker 4: know why. It was completely vacant, and there's six cops there,
- 5:49Speaker 4: and Scott and I stopped to watch the good guys
- 5:50Speaker 4: are gonna keep moving. Wait, so we have we can
- 5:52Speaker 4: be in one area of New York City and taking
- 5:55Speaker 4: up the entire strement this year, you have to keep
- 5:56Speaker 4: on moving. It was ridiculous. But the funniest thing I
- 5:58Speaker 4: saw was this about fifteen cops in front of a
- 6:01Speaker 4: barricade and a guy's incensed.
- 6:04Speaker 5: He's trying to get through them because he goes, I
- 6:06Speaker 5: gotta get the train I got.
- 6:07Speaker 4: You gotta hit me through here. And the CoP's going, sir,
- 6:09Speaker 4: you have to walk down three blocks and take a loft.
- 6:12Speaker 4: He go, no, I gotta get through the train. I go.
- 6:13Speaker 4: This guy's about to get taste. He's gonna get his
- 6:15Speaker 4: ASKI We're gonna watch him as kicking right now. Eventually
- 6:18Speaker 4: the cop calms him down and the cop looks at me.
- 6:20Speaker 4: It's just like, people, what are you gonna do?
- 6:23Speaker 2: He goes.
- 6:23Speaker 4: He goes, I'm a born and bred in New Yorker
- 6:25Speaker 4: and he goes, these people are more runs. They don't
- 6:27Speaker 4: know how to handle it. They don't have to handle success.
- 6:29Speaker 4: I said, well, I'll see what it goes. It's ninety
- 6:31Speaker 4: to seventy five. Rag says, I got five percent on
- 6:33Speaker 4: my phone. I gotta hop in the train and get
- 6:35Speaker 4: to Brooklyn. I go, no problem, thank God for John Chick,
- 6:38Speaker 4: a dear friend of mine. Is I'm walking back to
- 6:39Speaker 4: my car, I said, well, I go. It was a
- 6:40Speaker 4: bit of an anticlimax, a lot of weed, smoke, a
- 6:42Speaker 4: lot of cops. I saw a bunch of drunken Knicks
- 6:44Speaker 4: fans Tailor's out with Ben Lines still all good, and
- 6:46Speaker 4: he goes, uh, Knicks down by nine? Why he goes, Yeah,
- 6:49Speaker 4: it's close game night? Really okay? So I hop in
- 6:52Speaker 4: the Celtic Pub, which is at forty ninth to daighth
- 6:54Speaker 4: right in like the Broadway area district, and know where
- 6:57Speaker 4: they're charging cover to walk at this one. I'll play
- 6:58Speaker 4: the cover.
- 6:59Speaker 2: I don't care.
- 6:59Speaker 4: But he not go ahead, And so I watched the
- 7:02Speaker 4: last two minutes Nick's down four with a bunch of
- 7:04Speaker 4: strangers and it was unbelievable, Like I was so grateful
- 7:10Speaker 4: I didn't miss it, with a bunch of strangers high fiving,
- 7:13Speaker 4: loosing their minds. Go Nicks go. I got to see
- 7:15Speaker 4: it all and then you relive it afterwards, especially Larry
- 7:18Speaker 4: David's reaction to Joshart missing, which was classic but long
- 7:21Speaker 4: story shorts suit. You're right, you don't have a dog
- 7:23Speaker 4: in the race to experience the exultation and the exhilaration,
- 7:26Speaker 4: and it was incredible to see.
- 7:27Speaker 2: I still can't process at all the same.
- 7:30Speaker 7: And then the police barricades after the game were crazy
- 7:33Speaker 7: because I had the New Jersey Transit app on my
- 7:36Speaker 7: phone and I have a ticket and I'm walking towards
- 7:38Speaker 7: Penn Station. I'm like, hey, I have a ticket, Like
- 7:40Speaker 7: can I get through? And the guy's like, no, you can't.
- 7:43Speaker 7: I'm like, so, but I have my train is in there.
- 7:47Speaker 7: He goes, You're not getting on that train. Find it,
- 7:50Speaker 7: find a different way to get home. And I go, wait,
- 7:52Speaker 7: do you mean I can't get in the station or
- 7:55Speaker 7: I have to find a different station to get to
- 7:56Speaker 7: He goes, I don't know what to tell you. You're
- 7:58Speaker 7: not getting on that train. And I go, okay, what's
- 8:02Speaker 7: this power trip? I walked four blocks down, found a
- 8:04Speaker 7: different entrance, got in a lot of confusing signs when
- 8:07Speaker 7: you walk into Penn station two if you enter the
- 8:10Speaker 7: wrong door, because I'm in there and I'm like Long
- 8:12Speaker 7: Island Railroad and I'm like, where's the New Jersey Transit signs?
- 8:15Speaker 7: I'm so far away from the New Jersey Transit that
- 8:17Speaker 7: they're not even showing signs. I just kept walking and
- 8:19Speaker 7: walking for twenty minutes.
- 8:20Speaker 4: It took me.
- 8:20Speaker 7: It took me forty minutes to find the train.
- 8:22Speaker 2: Man.
- 8:22Speaker 1: What a special place we've arrived at where you can
- 8:25Speaker 1: you can't say anything to the cops.
- 8:27Speaker 2: You can blow as much weed smoke in their face
- 8:28Speaker 2: as you want it. I won't say it.
- 8:30Speaker 4: Thing there great points to be A high is a kite,
- 8:34Speaker 4: no problem at all, But you can't speak back to
- 8:36Speaker 4: a cop. And Taylor's right, it's not the issue of
- 8:38Speaker 4: the station being closed. It's fine, I get it. Barricades,
- 8:40Speaker 4: et cetera.
- 8:40Speaker 5: People are unruly and most these morons.
- 8:42Speaker 4: Are just looking at creative fight. They couldn't care less.
- 8:44Speaker 4: But the knicks Blake Taylor said, just be clear about it,
- 8:46Speaker 4: like is the station closed or is this exit closed?
- 8:49Speaker 4: It's like, buddy, you're not getting home tonight.
- 8:51Speaker 2: I'm like, they take so much pride and nothing with you.
- 8:59Speaker 4: The thing, I'm not anti cops, I'm just telling you
- 9:01Speaker 4: they're bullies. Okay, a high school. The bullies, those are
- 9:04Speaker 4: the ones that are cut. They're like telling you what
- 9:05Speaker 4: to do authoritarians. There's no easy answers here. I'm like, okay, fine,
- 9:09Speaker 4: whatever it takes. But I listened to pod you guys
- 9:12Speaker 4: said yesterday, I loved the talk radio points. I kept
- 9:14Speaker 4: saying the same thing. If I was doing a show,
- 9:16Speaker 4: that's all we would be doing today is hey did
- 9:18Speaker 4: the next winner? Did the Spurs lose? That is radio
- 9:21Speaker 4: one on one. I could see Louise Cornetta right now,
- 9:23Speaker 4: ESPN Radio going, man, pick a side. Very early on
- 9:26Speaker 4: I said something like I could see both sides, because
- 9:28Speaker 4: no and talk radio you must pick a side. You
- 9:30Speaker 4: cannot see the other side. I go, all right, no
- 9:32Speaker 4: matter what, it's one or the other. So you can't
- 9:34Speaker 4: say I see both sides. It's no one hundred percent
- 9:36Speaker 4: affirmative action. The Spurs lost that game, no doubt about it.
- 9:39Speaker 4: Darren Fox, absolute choke up. I watched it again, like
- 9:42Speaker 4: you guys, up to one in the morning. The fact
- 9:44Speaker 4: I listened to Sam Mitchell and NBA radio on the
- 9:47Speaker 4: way home.
- 9:47Speaker 2: Yeah, so funny.
- 9:48Speaker 4: The thirty minut run of a Jersey. It's just inviscerating
- 9:51Speaker 4: here in Fox, but more portly's crushing the assistant coaches
- 9:54Speaker 4: classic head coach because Sam Mitchell was a head coach.
- 9:57Speaker 4: He's crushing the assistant coach and saying, no, they should
- 9:59Speaker 4: have been to control the game. Fox should have known
- 10:01Speaker 4: to dribble the ball a little bit more before he
- 10:03Speaker 4: got fouled. And of course why are you, I mean,
- 10:05Speaker 4: it's still hysterical to me. I got again the shatt
- 10:07Speaker 4: in front of this, Why are you double teaming brunts?
- 10:09Speaker 4: And from thirty feet away when the defensive player there,
- 10:12Speaker 4: wenbin Yama's got it covered like, no, I got this
- 10:14Speaker 4: just in case you need help, No, I got this.
- 10:16Speaker 4: And then Anto becomes flying through. I mean, assistant coaches
- 10:19Speaker 4: taking the blame. I don't know how the Spurs win
- 10:21Speaker 4: Game five, unbelievable.
- 10:23Speaker 7: And then my favorite part about that is the Spurs
- 10:25Speaker 7: fans saying that Ogn Andobi fouled Baron Fox and should
- 10:29Speaker 7: have been two free throws, where if Garon Fox just
- 10:32Speaker 7: held the ball, he would have got two free throws.
- 10:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that's what I mean, just bone had to play.
- 10:36Speaker 2: And again this was assistant coaches though, I mean, yes, yeah, SAMs.
- 10:39Speaker 4: Ob blainely assistant coaches, and Paron Fox's contract kicks it
- 10:42Speaker 4: next year like the first of the Megadia four years
- 10:44Speaker 4: I'm like, every Spurs fan is gonna be just despising
- 10:47Speaker 4: that contract. But I will say this, and again, I
- 10:49Speaker 4: was pro next per New York crowd, but it was
- 10:51Speaker 4: highly amusing to me how many people late second quartersea
- 10:54Speaker 4: that's it, the series is over. Yes, he won the
- 10:57Speaker 4: first two. They're gonna gag at home. They can't take
- 11:00Speaker 4: the pressure. Every celebrity staring at them. Seinfeld's there, what's
- 11:03Speaker 4: the deal with Daron Fox? They can't handle the pressure.
- 11:06Speaker 4: They're gonna lose four straight. This is it. And in
- 11:08Speaker 4: the spin of one hour, it then became Nixon five,
- 11:11Speaker 4: like Knicks're gonna nick they stink fifty three years. This
- 11:16Speaker 4: team blows. They're gonna burn this city down. These guys
- 11:19Speaker 4: are chokers to their back, unbeatable, never in doubt, and
- 11:22Speaker 4: probably the craziest dot I heard the last few seasons.
- 11:25Speaker 4: When a team is down by twenty or more, the
- 11:27Speaker 4: Knicks are five and three. Every other team in the
- 11:29Speaker 4: NBA four and seventy one.
- 11:31Speaker 2: Amazing. Yeah, they've got them right where they want you now. Nine,
- 11:36Speaker 2: we got this.
- 11:37Speaker 5: Every Knicks man believed in them. Bullshit.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Nobody thought they're gonna come back and pull it off,
- 11:41Speaker 4: even brunch.
- 11:41Speaker 2: I love this candor.
- 11:42Speaker 5: They asked me, when you're down twenty one, you think
- 11:44Speaker 5: you come back?
- 11:44Speaker 4: He's say, I mean not.
- 11:46Speaker 5: Really like no, I got we're just gay. You gotta
- 11:48Speaker 5: give up.
- 11:49Speaker 4: But do you think I'm gonna come? Of course I
- 11:50Speaker 4: didn't think that. What are you insane? You just hang
- 11:52Speaker 4: around the Spurs stink. They choked thirty points in the
- 11:55Speaker 4: second half and it was awful.
- 11:57Speaker 1: How much did you pay to get into the Celtic
- 11:59Speaker 1: bar to watch those final two minutes?
- 12:01Speaker 4: No, no money, normally thars twenty way. He just kind
- 12:04Speaker 4: of waved a few people in and I'll go. I
- 12:06Speaker 4: looked at my wallet. This is a little embarrassing. I
- 12:08Speaker 4: had one hundred dollars bill you would have given it,
- 12:11Speaker 4: and I had seven dollars, and I gave the seven
- 12:13Speaker 4: dollars of courd you did. You're waiting for iHeart to
- 12:16Speaker 4: send you new headphones I gave. I gave the got
- 12:20Speaker 4: the door seven bucks. Thanksually letting me go because it
- 12:23Speaker 4: deductive reasoning for the whole game is twenty bucks.
- 12:25Speaker 5: I was there for four minutes. Seven bucks is still
- 12:27Speaker 5: a win for him.
- 12:28Speaker 8: I think it sounds like you can afford the headphones.
- 12:31Speaker 8: Now you got that hundred extra hundred.
- 12:35Speaker 2: The pub D mission, I can go buy the headphones.
- 12:38Speaker 7: And then I was between two questions yesterday for the
- 12:41Speaker 7: Think about It Thursday. I ultimately went with who would
- 12:45Speaker 7: the statue of a liberty be rooting for?
- 12:47Speaker 5: Uh?
- 12:48Speaker 7: France with Victor Wembin Yama or New York because she's
- 12:53Speaker 7: she's lived in New York.
- 12:54Speaker 4: The other question I was between was if we were
- 12:57Speaker 4: jumping quickly there, I can't is even good point? How
- 13:00Speaker 4: was there two statue liberties like that seems a lot
- 13:02Speaker 4: of work? How could they just do one the donate
- 13:04Speaker 4: the other. I thought that that's the question. He's be answered,
- 13:06Speaker 4: now go ahead, Yes, my.
- 13:08Speaker 2: Other question asking us that was the problem.
- 13:10Speaker 4: He asked me if he needs the sculptor, Like Stu said,
- 13:12Speaker 4: he's asking you guys, bus here we are all over
- 13:15Speaker 4: the statue liberty research. Come on, what are we doing here?
- 13:18Speaker 7: The other question that I was deciding that I could
- 13:21Speaker 7: ask you now, if we were starting the Comeback Hall
- 13:23Speaker 7: of Fame and only one game could get in per class,
- 13:27Speaker 7: who would get in first? The twenty eight and three
- 13:30Speaker 7: Patriots comeback against the Falcons or the Knicks twenty nine
- 13:33Speaker 7: point comeback in the NBA Finals.
- 13:36Speaker 4: Also, I loved yesterday's table for one og or brunts
- 13:39Speaker 4: and OG gets it because right agree that Yeah, God,
- 13:43Speaker 4: that Falcons gag was unbelievable.
- 13:45Speaker 1: But I mean the Falcons gag was was for the
- 13:49Speaker 1: actual Super Bowl? Yeah, hus right, that's that's one game enough.
- 13:53Speaker 1: Like I want to go Nicks because they're right in
- 13:54Speaker 1: the moment it was so special. But the Spurs could
- 13:57Speaker 1: come back. They're not going to be they could come back.
- 13:59Speaker 1: Where is that the literally the championship?
- 14:02Speaker 4: I think he's ending worse than twenty eight three, Tim,
- 14:04Speaker 4: I think your Yankees three on the Red Sox. Mean,
- 14:06Speaker 4: that's awful, pretty painful, horrific against the team you to
- 14:08Speaker 4: own for years. But twenty eight three I think will
- 14:11Speaker 4: ever top the Falcons embarrassment of losing that game.
- 14:13Speaker 5: It's almost as bad as the egg being thrown at Wemby.
- 14:15Speaker 2: What in arm on that guy?
- 14:16Speaker 4: I mean, truly, the egg on the face Wemby's getting
- 14:18Speaker 4: tauted everywhere. Awful.
- 14:20Speaker 8: To answer that question, twenty eight three is its own thing.
- 14:23Speaker 8: If I say twenty eight three, you know what I'm
- 14:25Speaker 8: talking about. Yes, I have to say, you remember that
- 14:28Speaker 8: Nick's comeback against the Spurs, like there's no score, there's
- 14:31Speaker 8: no there's no anything that gets.
- 14:33Speaker 1: The comeback now, My yeah, I do. I think it's
- 14:35Speaker 1: called the comeback now.
- 14:36Speaker 2: I did like the Og tippin. Yeah, the Og tipping. Yes.
- 14:40Speaker 4: I love Dizzey's point, because from now on, hand of
- 14:42Speaker 4: God will not just be Maradonna. It will also be
- 14:45Speaker 4: referred to Og and Andobi. Yes, rather than eighty six
- 14:48Speaker 4: World Cup. It'll think of Og flying through with one
- 14:50Speaker 4: point two left.
- 14:51Speaker 1: Speaking of Og Taylor, who was out into the wee hours,
- 14:55Speaker 1: you know after game four, he's he's all about content
- 14:59Speaker 1: that day.
- 14:59Speaker 4: You know that the song it's great. I did hear that?
- 15:02Speaker 2: Yeah, okay, well we're gonna I was gonna play it
- 15:03Speaker 2: for you right now, the Og song the day.
- 15:08Speaker 1: It puts me in a good mood. I just want
- 15:10Speaker 1: to sing the chorus together. Let's play it one more time.
- 15:12Speaker 9: Here Crumpson gets it fires up at three. Shut no, God,
- 15:17Speaker 9: the tip it's gone. It's gone. It's gone. With one
- 15:21Speaker 9: point to the lady. Let's take the lead. Oh g
- 15:25Speaker 9: movie brunts and missed. Oh no, we're in trouble.
- 15:30Speaker 3: Someone get or rebound please, he's there there for the tippin'
- 15:36Speaker 3: o g and in the final moments he somehow saves
- 15:44Speaker 3: the day. At MSG, he's there for the tipping'.
- 15:50Speaker 4: O g O g oh g o g o g.
- 16:00Speaker 2: He's there for the.
- 16:02Speaker 4: Tippin' o gee.
- 16:07Speaker 2: He was wide open for three before he was there
- 16:11Speaker 2: for the tip in.
- 16:12Speaker 4: I mean, Kailer's just I mean, list it's two in
- 16:15Speaker 4: the morning, He's already watched the game. He's rewatching. That's
- 16:19Speaker 4: the thought that comes from the Beatles, and let it be.
- 16:21Speaker 4: I just love the fact that your heart is in
- 16:23Speaker 4: the right place, yes, but also content. Let's just make
- 16:25Speaker 4: sure still gets taken care of that. That is good.
- 16:27Speaker 1: Producing We'll get to the Stanley Cup here in a second,
- 16:30Speaker 1: and Roger Federer is returning.
- 16:31Speaker 2: I can't believe. Listen, the guys are in my head here.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Normally I would lead, I would stay there for fifteen
- 16:36Speaker 1: to twenty minutes with you and then move on to
- 16:37Speaker 1: the NBA Finals.
- 16:39Speaker 2: But they have told me, hey, get straight to the Knicks.
- 16:42Speaker 4: Before you go to tennis.
- 16:43Speaker 1: For that did because that's what we do every single time.
- 16:46Speaker 1: It's so funny the coverage of the game. We narrow
- 16:48Speaker 1: it down to the Aaron Fox. We narrow it down
- 16:50Speaker 1: to these micro little things. The assistant coaches, it's their fault.
- 16:53Speaker 1: Yet no one talks about the Wemby miss free throws
- 16:56Speaker 1: down the stretch of that game. No one talks about
- 16:58Speaker 1: Karl Anthony Towns getting a hand on that inbounds pass
- 17:01Speaker 1: because it was the perfect inbounds play and it would
- 17:03Speaker 1: have ended the Knicks right then and there. That series
- 17:06Speaker 1: would have been too too headed back to San Antonio
- 17:08Speaker 1: if Towns doesn't make that play. We find a guy, an,
- 17:11Speaker 1: this is what we do. Pick a side, We find
- 17:13Speaker 1: a guy and we blame him because we're lazy.
- 17:16Speaker 2: That's really what the Aaron Fox, how dare we take
- 17:19Speaker 2: that shot right?
- 17:20Speaker 4: That is when it comes in And you're right, you
- 17:21Speaker 4: guys are the only ones to swear I mentioned the
- 17:23Speaker 4: cat inbounds pass. I don't even think about that. That's
- 17:25Speaker 4: a great point. That's gonna hand on that thing. Yes, believable.
- 17:29Speaker 4: Stefan Castle is like a dunk champion kidding mem like that.
- 17:31Speaker 4: That's absolutely gonna be a bad skin. Yes, and what
- 17:33Speaker 4: has been a wildly unpredictable series. I don't know what
- 17:36Speaker 4: to predict next.
- 17:37Speaker 5: Like the common thought is the Spurs are done right,
- 17:39Speaker 5: They're cooked. They can't do it again. But I'm like,
- 17:41Speaker 5: if they win game five, all.
- 17:43Speaker 4: The pressure shifts back to New Yorse. Hey, don't all
- 17:46Speaker 4: this at home? All these celebrities are watching, Yes, Dave,
- 17:49Speaker 4: it's back Taylor Swift the next gear, Like, oh, I
- 17:51Speaker 4: couldn't even imagine how petrified Nick's hans would be about
- 17:54Speaker 4: potentially losing a game six and then forcing a game seven.
- 17:58Speaker 1: I was telling the guys, I have friends who were saying, Hey,
- 18:00Speaker 1: I want to get this done at the Mecca at
- 18:01Speaker 1: Madison Square Garden.
- 18:02Speaker 2: I'm like, I just want to get it done. I've
- 18:04Speaker 2: been waiting for it my entire life. Why do people
- 18:06Speaker 2: care about that stuff? You know, I look to win
- 18:09Speaker 2: it at home?
- 18:09Speaker 4: Who gives a shit? Like could you imagine, like, just
- 18:11Speaker 4: imagine Mike from the Model the mixer up of the
- 18:14Speaker 4: Spurs late in the fourth in Game five, guys, guys,
- 18:17Speaker 4: let him get this one.
- 18:18Speaker 2: Went it at home. Let's wrap it up there. We
- 18:21Speaker 2: were down twenty nine points. Side been said, he can
- 18:25Speaker 2: get me tickets. They're better in San Antonio's building than
- 18:28Speaker 2: the Mecca.
- 18:29Speaker 4: I love the fact that Stu was offended by the
- 18:31Speaker 4: fact that Kirk Kurbstreet and his dog were all out in.
- 18:33Speaker 4: I don't get it. That was a great bit. I mean,
- 18:35Speaker 4: I can't believe I do. I did a double tick
- 18:38Speaker 4: when I saw Herbstreet. I go no, I know for
- 18:40Speaker 4: sure Herstreet is not a Knicks guy.
- 18:41Speaker 5: It's a huge Cincinnati Reds fan.
- 18:43Speaker 4: Yes, I'm Ohio State. I've never heard him once mentioned
- 18:46Speaker 4: the next so that never people were killing Teller Shift.
- 18:48Speaker 4: Think we listen, Taylor Swift said, anominally a New York
- 18:50Speaker 4: Craft as soon she's a next fan at some hard Curbstreet.
- 18:53Speaker 1: Being there was just outrageous, right, And she was there
- 18:55Speaker 1: with with Stevie Nicks.
- 18:56Speaker 2: So she was a guest of Stevie Nicks.
- 18:58Speaker 4: I think she wasn't there with Stevie Nicks.
- 19:00Speaker 7: Her shirt said Stevie New York Knicks.
- 19:03Speaker 1: Okay, is that what it was? She wasn't there with
- 19:04Speaker 1: Stevie Nicks. I fell for it again. Stevie Nicks still alive?
- 19:09Speaker 4: Yes, det her alive.
- 19:11Speaker 7: That's our next game here, So Stu, everybody in Taylor
- 19:15Speaker 7: Swift's crew had shirts that had somebody with the name
- 19:18Speaker 7: Nick or Knicks, and then they spelt it as Knicks.
- 19:22Speaker 7: But so you mentioned everybody piling on the Aaron Fox
- 19:26Speaker 7: today or this week. It is poetic for Mike Brown,
- 19:30Speaker 7: who was fired from the Kings. He got fired the
- 19:33Speaker 7: day after he called the Aaron Fox out for making
- 19:35Speaker 7: a terrible play. If Mike Brown wins wins a title
- 19:39Speaker 7: because of Daron Fox making a terrible play, not a poetic.
- 19:42Speaker 2: It's a full circle moment.
- 19:44Speaker 4: Yeah, I hadn't thought about that. I gotta say the
- 19:45Speaker 4: amount of heat that James Dolan took for firing TIBs,
- 19:48Speaker 4: especially when the Knicks were down two to one against
- 19:50Speaker 4: the Hawks, A man of people saying, you know what,
- 19:52Speaker 4: Tips is a better coach. I think Mike Brown's in
- 19:55Speaker 4: over skis the team wasn't as good this year, and
- 19:57Speaker 4: then since they didn't lose a game for forty six days,
- 20:00Speaker 4: like the Mike Brown Redemption Tour has been unbelievable.
- 20:02Speaker 5: Like Mike Brown's got the best at a cat.
- 20:05Speaker 4: He knows when to push the buttons, Like when Landry
- 20:06Speaker 4: Shamon's good, No, Landry Shammon's cook, that's it, You're done.
- 20:09Speaker 4: Alvarado playing ten minutes of the fourth quarter and out
- 20:12Speaker 4: scoring every Spur like that is unbelievable to me, Like
- 20:16Speaker 4: having the pulse of your team. So, Mike Brown, whether
- 20:18Speaker 4: it's Darn Fox or host Evarado, masterful coaching, it's been great.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Were you hugging strangers at the Celtic.
- 20:24Speaker 4: Bar, Well, that's an excellent other points. So a couple
- 20:27Speaker 4: of guys are high five, and I'm okay with that.
- 20:28Speaker 4: But one woman who said way too much, way too inebriated,
- 20:32Speaker 4: kind of did this like.
- 20:32Speaker 5: Awkward grab it squeezed with me. I'm like, like, if
- 20:35Speaker 5: you were attractive and.
- 20:35Speaker 4: Younger, I would have, but I said, it's just kind
- 20:37Speaker 4: of scaring me. So it made me think about your
- 20:39Speaker 4: put happen to you with that that awkward wave and
- 20:42Speaker 4: that young girl and the chastising you. That's just bad forum.
- 20:46Speaker 4: I mean, I would have goneup to Rafts and listen,
- 20:47Speaker 4: don't you think I hate myself enough as it is.
- 20:49Speaker 4: I've just been polite. You don't even mock me to
- 20:51Speaker 4: think that it's some twenty five year old rocket is
- 20:54Speaker 4: saying hi to me. So yeah, I'm okay with the
- 20:56Speaker 4: high five. Well, when they start hugging and stuffing a
- 20:57Speaker 4: little bit too close, a little bit too close a
- 20:59Speaker 4: random high good, But after that, the etiquette gonna be
- 21:02Speaker 4: careful as you get older.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Have you had a moment like that where you're like, hey,
- 21:05Speaker 1: I still got it. You're thinking for a second, hey
- 21:07Speaker 1: I still got it.
- 21:08Speaker 4: I mean, I mean it happens on a weekly basis,
- 21:12Speaker 4: Like I'm back, I no. I always tell people, I said,
- 21:14Speaker 4: you know, when I'm looking at the world, I don't
- 21:16Speaker 4: see myself, so I feel good about myself. Then I
- 21:18Speaker 4: see myself, I go, oh, I still look that like
- 21:20Speaker 4: I thought it was good better I thought.
- 21:22Speaker 5: I thought I have more hair if I've lost are smaller.
- 21:25Speaker 4: So that's the problem. When you see people, you see
- 21:27Speaker 4: attractive woman, you go yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, oh that's
- 21:30Speaker 4: what I look like. Like, No, she's not seeing what
- 21:32Speaker 4: you're seeing.
- 21:33Speaker 2: Yes, she's not seeing twenty year old you. Only you are.
- 21:38Speaker 1: And then you get to the mirror and I hate
- 21:40Speaker 1: those things and it reminds you, oh my god, I'm disgusting.
- 21:43Speaker 4: Why the help you look at me?
- 21:44Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 21:45Speaker 4: But the best ones you had the heater though, the
- 21:46Speaker 4: heater going and the wave that was my favorite part
- 21:49Speaker 4: of it. I wish the dart was in and you
- 21:51Speaker 4: just did the way well.
- 21:55Speaker 1: I've had so many moments since then where I'm just
- 21:58Speaker 1: sitting around and no one's around, and it's me and
- 22:00Speaker 1: my thoughts, and I'm thinking to myself, what was I thinking?
- 22:03Speaker 2: Why did I think she was attracted to me?
- 22:06Speaker 5: Like, seriously, you're not alone in that.
- 22:09Speaker 4: My buddy Climberg, who I played tennis with, I played
- 22:11Speaker 4: tenn Climberg's lost thirty five pounds, but he showed up
- 22:14Speaker 4: his stick of what has happened to you?
- 22:16Speaker 5: I remember something about six weeks ago and he's lost twenty.
- 22:18Speaker 4: So I said, I think you've lost fifteen pounds in
- 22:20Speaker 4: six weeks. Clearly there's some glp ones or whatever. I'm
- 22:23Speaker 4: not judging. I'm just saying you look a lot different.
- 22:24Speaker 4: He goes, oh, dude, listen, it's been a great weight loss.
- 22:26Speaker 4: And thrilled about he goes, here's the crazy thing. He goes,
- 22:28Speaker 4: now he can go to work in New York City,
- 22:30Speaker 4: like I'm not seeing women are checking me out, but like,
- 22:32Speaker 4: I'll get a smile now, And I said, yeah, that's
- 22:34Speaker 4: a big deal. Like you're fifty three years solos and
- 22:36Speaker 4: a woman smiles at me because before oh the recoiling
- 22:38Speaker 4: and horror, how dare you look at me? He goes,
- 22:40Speaker 4: to be clear, I'm not saying they're checking me out.
- 22:43Speaker 4: I'm just saying they're being polite.
- 22:45Speaker 2: All right, he's more pleasant to look at. Yes, that's it.
- 22:49Speaker 4: They're not expecting anything, not hitting anybody. But when you're grotesque,
- 22:53Speaker 4: everyone knows it.
- 22:54Speaker 2: It was.
- 22:55Speaker 4: People are loving Climberg. It's a good life, it really is.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Stugott's here.
- 23:00Speaker 1: The biggest stage in world soccer is here, and every

- 24:21Speaker 1: Meanwhile, maybe the greatest Stanley Cup we've ever seen is
- 24:24Speaker 1: happening and Vegas and McDonough, who I texted, said, I'm
- 24:29Speaker 1: calling classic game after classic game. This is absolutely incredible. Carolina,
- 24:34Speaker 1: what a series? What a Stanley Cup final? And Carolina,
- 24:38Speaker 1: who I said was gonna win it from the start,
- 24:41Speaker 1: it appears like they're gonna get it done here against Vegas.
- 24:43Speaker 1: And I can't believe that we've arrived at a place
- 24:46Speaker 1: where Torts is just two games away from winning the
- 24:49Speaker 1: Stanley Cup, but we're still here at it.
- 24:51Speaker 2: You think this is over right, it's a wrap. I
- 24:53Speaker 2: don't think.
- 24:53Speaker 1: I don't think Vegas is gonna come back. I think
- 24:55Speaker 1: the Stanley Cup has been great, but I think it's
- 24:57Speaker 1: over in six. I think Vegas went on one of
- 24:58Speaker 1: those magical runs and it ends. It ends tonight.
- 25:02Speaker 4: I think you're right, star our Regent. I called Vegas
- 25:03Speaker 4: and seven, but I cannot see them winning back to
- 25:05Speaker 4: back games, especially watching just the thorough domination with it
- 25:08Speaker 4: Carolina played. Probably speaking McDonough, I also texted him this morning.
- 25:12Speaker 4: He had the best line of the night. There was
- 25:13Speaker 4: a full screen a graphic in which they talked about
- 25:16Speaker 4: players scoring goals in certain situations, and McDonough's line was,
- 25:19Speaker 4: and Ray remembers Cyclone Taylor from their head to head
- 25:22Speaker 4: battles in nineteen eighteen. Great line. And then Sean texts
- 25:25Speaker 4: me back to this. He goes, it's the joke that
- 25:27Speaker 4: never gets funny. What a series, And I said, no,
- 25:29Speaker 4: I trust me those kind of jokes. I'm appreciating. McDonough
- 25:31Speaker 4: is so good, and he's been so great for so long,
- 25:34Speaker 4: and he's just enhancing the level of this hockey. The
- 25:37Speaker 4: fact that Tortorella, I'm glad you mentioned because Torts Island
- 25:39Speaker 4: afforts Carter Hart has set record. This is an in
- 25:41Speaker 4: ignominious mark. He's allowed four goals in every game of
- 25:45Speaker 4: the series. That's never happened before. A goalie in hockey
- 25:48Speaker 4: history at least four goals of the first five games
- 25:50Speaker 4: in Stanley, CA file. So I think it's a fair
- 25:52Speaker 4: question that somebody asked her afterwards, Hey, what about Aiden
- 25:56Speaker 4: Hill potentially starting?
- 25:58Speaker 5: And Torterill responded, that's the stupides quet i've ever heard.
- 26:00Speaker 4: Next question. Like one thing about Towrts is he gets
- 26:02Speaker 4: a little sarcastic. It gets a little angry when the
- 26:05Speaker 4: thing goes way. But he didn't give them more Baltimore material.
- 26:07Speaker 4: He guaranteed victory because we'll way back. Heer in game seven,
- 26:11Speaker 4: I'm leaving my stuff at the hotel. So here's the
- 26:13Speaker 4: better question Herlina wins game six in Vegas.
- 26:17Speaker 5: What happens is Turnerell's stuff.
- 26:20Speaker 4: He pull the holiday in and go, hey, can you
- 26:22Speaker 4: send me my suits, my socks? Does he leave it there?
- 26:26Speaker 4: If he leaves it there, does somebody take pride in
- 26:27Speaker 4: the fact, Hey, here's John Dorrell's suits. I'm gonna burn them,
- 26:30Speaker 4: or I'm gonna make fun of them. I'm gonna sell
- 26:32Speaker 4: them to somebody, auction them off. Here's the suit this
- 26:34Speaker 4: guy thought they're gonna beat the hurricane. Screw him. Tortrella
- 26:37Speaker 4: leaving his stuff at the hotel. I love it. It's
- 26:40Speaker 4: a brilliant master stroke. I hope it doesn't work out
- 26:43Speaker 4: from though, I want to know what happens in the clothes.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Oh same.
- 26:46Speaker 1: It's like it's like Spoe telling his team in the
- 26:49Speaker 1: playing game, Hey, pat for a week because we're not
- 26:51Speaker 1: coming home.
- 26:51Speaker 2: We're gonna win this game and.
- 26:52Speaker 1: Then we're going out for Round one of the NBA playoffs.
- 26:57Speaker 1: But I'm guessing you in a similar situation, old alligator
- 27:00Speaker 1: arms over there, you're calling the hotel and demanding they
- 27:03Speaker 1: send your stuff back, right, CHESSI Pap one time told
- 27:08Speaker 1: me he forgot one of his AirPods and he said,
- 27:11Speaker 1: I'm so cheap.
- 27:11Speaker 4: I called the hotel and I said, I'll pivot or
- 27:13Speaker 4: takes you get this mail back the other AirPod. And
- 27:15Speaker 4: I said, Jess, you've got two. You see what's gonna
- 27:18Speaker 4: be the the guy with as I currently have one headphone,
- 27:20Speaker 4: good one headphone? Awride, just be that guy walks from
- 27:22Speaker 4: the one headphone, Jess, he goes, no, dude, Jeep, I said,
- 27:25Speaker 4: you guys site back the other AirPod. Maybe it's just
- 27:29Speaker 4: an air pod thing. Melanie Newman, who's one of our
- 27:31Speaker 4: great hosts MLB Network. She works for the Orioles.
- 27:33Speaker 5: She forgot one of her AirPods and she said to.
- 27:35Speaker 4: Me, I need a huge favor. Can you go get
- 27:36Speaker 4: my AirPod? And it was like one in the morning.
- 27:38Speaker 4: I'm like, looking into the desk, I'm like, okay, finish,
- 27:40Speaker 4: because do you mind shipping it to me? And I'm like,
- 27:42Speaker 4: why am I paying the postage on this? It's your AirPod?
- 27:44Speaker 4: Like I had to go to the post office pay
- 27:46Speaker 4: twelve bucks. I'm like, you should be paying me ven
- 27:47Speaker 4: only twenty bucks. Yes, I got a tip out of this,
- 27:50Speaker 4: but you're right. If I was in that situation, I said,
- 27:52Speaker 4: he got this in it back to me, and you
- 27:54Speaker 4: cover the charges. I said, your hotel, Hey, it was
- 27:56Speaker 4: an accident. I left my stuff there. You please cover
- 27:58Speaker 4: the charges. Send me stuff much.
- 28:00Speaker 2: I was doing a thing. I mean, man in Vegas.
- 28:04Speaker 7: I'm just imagining like an Armani suit from Torts on
- 28:08Speaker 7: the next series of the next season of Pawn Stars.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Right, I would think if I'm working at that hotel,
- 28:14Speaker 4: I'm not even contacting mister Torrella. If calls, just deny
- 28:18Speaker 4: the call, just whatever it takes. And I'm taking that
- 28:20Speaker 4: stuff and I'm axing it off like that. I think
- 28:22Speaker 4: that would be a great suitent item for a Hurricanes fan.
- 28:24Speaker 4: This is the suit John Turrella is going to wear
- 28:27Speaker 4: if they've been a Game seven.
- 28:32Speaker 7: How would people be talking about this series if it
- 28:35Speaker 7: was like Original six teams like Blackhawks, Rangers, right.
- 28:39Speaker 4: A big part of it because, honestly, Taylor, the numbers
- 28:41Speaker 4: have been great. I guess saw the Rains the other day.
- 28:43Speaker 4: It's a huge boon for ABC. Every night you're watching ABC,
- 28:46Speaker 4: either you're watching the Knicks and Spurs the NBA Finals,
- 28:48Speaker 4: or you're watching the Stanley Cup Finals. So it's nice
- 28:50Speaker 4: that mcdonoughn say, make sure you catch the next Morrow night,
- 28:52Speaker 4: and or Mike Breen cats that vice Versta like when
- 28:54Speaker 4: one network dominates. This goes back the days me and
- 28:56Speaker 4: Stewart membered it was three networks and one network had everything,
- 28:59Speaker 4: so you just want everything you know consecutively. There's been good,
- 29:02Speaker 4: but Original six is a big part of it.
- 29:04Speaker 2: Taylor.
- 29:04Speaker 4: I sat down to watch Game four and I started
- 29:06Speaker 4: laughing myself that the cool oft open p K. Supman
- 29:09Speaker 4: was in a roller coaster and the camera was a
- 29:11Speaker 4: fixed him, and the joke was the series has been
- 29:12Speaker 4: such a roller coaster. But then the next words where
- 29:14Speaker 4: Steve Leavey is saying Las Vegas the home of hockey,
- 29:17Speaker 4: and I go, oh, this really doesn't feel the same.
- 29:19Speaker 4: If you know it's the Boston Bruins against the Avalanche,
- 29:22Speaker 4: I'm like, yeah, like, you know, you get one newer
- 29:24Speaker 4: team in the ABS, but an original six team in
- 29:26Speaker 4: the Bruins or the Red Wings or the you know,
- 29:28Speaker 4: Flyers came in the second round of expansion, but one
- 29:30Speaker 4: of those classic teams, the Rangers, et cetera.
- 29:32Speaker 5: It isn't quite the same when it's Vegas.
- 29:34Speaker 4: In Carolina, the hockey is great, but those are not
- 29:36Speaker 4: hockey hotbeds. The only good news is this adds further
- 29:38Speaker 4: fuel to stegotts, alienating all Canadians. Yes to say hockey
- 29:43Speaker 4: has gone from sunrise to Rollywood.
- 29:49Speaker 2: Really poor Canada.
- 29:52Speaker 4: I gotta say, by the props your dad, that was
- 29:53Speaker 4: a great story you told about the Islanders tickets. You
- 29:55Speaker 4: were on aage enough Tanelli and eistrom my officely, I
- 29:58Speaker 4: mean that Islanders run, the fact you got yes and
- 30:01Speaker 4: your taxic healthy outside. Just let me know when the
- 30:03Speaker 4: game's over. It'll be great.
- 30:05Speaker 1: Yes, I mean, listen for the regular season. He could
- 30:08Speaker 1: have me sit, you know, in between him and my brother.
- 30:10Speaker 1: I could sit on his lap. I was young enough then.
- 30:13Speaker 1: But then when he came down to the big game
- 30:14Speaker 1: he did say, hey, I'll be in the parking lot
- 30:16Speaker 1: you too. He didn't want to choose between children, unlike
- 30:18Speaker 1: Ariel Hawani, who absolutely chose one of his children over
- 30:22Speaker 1: the other.
- 30:23Speaker 2: Is a terrible job.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Ariel definitely did not get three tickets. It's one one
- 30:26Speaker 4: ticket to the guard. Two three is very difficult. I
- 30:29Speaker 4: know this as I have asked you for tickets. Aaron
- 30:31Speaker 4: Boone asked for Yankees tickets. Did rather you ask for
- 30:33Speaker 4: two or for four? If you ask me? That's annoying
- 30:35Speaker 4: to them?
- 30:36Speaker 5: So there, Yes, there's no way Ariel got three if
- 30:38Speaker 5: he's read odd.
- 30:38Speaker 2: Numbers are tough right when you're making it ask.
- 30:42Speaker 4: And that' said I'll figure out the third myself.
- 30:44Speaker 1: Yes, what an amazing place we've arrived at, though, when
- 30:46Speaker 1: four goal four goal leads in hockey are and safe
- 30:49Speaker 1: and twenty nine point leads of the NBA are and safe,
- 30:53Speaker 1: we have been blessed to see these two series side
- 30:55Speaker 1: by side.
- 30:55Speaker 2: You're right about that, a then, and you're right to
- 30:57Speaker 2: go back.
- 30:57Speaker 5: To the point for Ariel's kid, like, forget about the exam.
- 31:00Speaker 4: Who cares.
- 31:00Speaker 5: No one will remember he didn't not exam years from now,
- 31:02Speaker 5: but they'll.
- 31:02Speaker 4: Remember where you were. That's right back for a twenty
- 31:04Speaker 4: nine point games. So you're right if ending it has
- 31:06Speaker 4: been a lesson to not give up on the team,
- 31:08Speaker 4: knock give up on the game, because I got burned
- 31:10Speaker 4: that four nothing game, long deal with the kids. Saturday
- 31:12Speaker 4: ten twenty. I went to bed, I woke up. I
- 31:14Speaker 4: was a mouth a gape. I was like, what they
- 31:17Speaker 4: came back? And now I was glad. To be honest,
- 31:19Speaker 4: I went to bed because double overtime would have been
- 31:21Speaker 4: up till one in the morning, and I'm like, I
- 31:22Speaker 4: don't have any money riding the game. What are we
- 31:24Speaker 4: doing here?
- 31:24Speaker 5: But still, if you have a dog in the right
- 31:26Speaker 5: stay until the end.
- 31:27Speaker 4: Twenty nine point game, four goal lead, nothing is safe
- 31:30Speaker 4: in today's sports climate.
- 31:32Speaker 2: Yep, Mike, Yeah, you heard the news about Roger Federer.
- 31:34Speaker 2: Did you hear the Oh?
- 31:36Speaker 8: I mean I didn't get my email blast from ad Nan?
- 31:40Speaker 2: What happened?
- 31:42Speaker 4: He's we have to lose stool.
- 31:45Speaker 1: Well, listen, he made an announcement I'll let add take
- 31:47Speaker 1: it from here. He made an announcement. I know it
- 31:49Speaker 1: moved ad Nan. He was very emotional about it. He
- 31:52Speaker 1: is playing in an exhibition match coming up here, and
- 31:54Speaker 1: I know Ad and all the members of hashtag Team
- 31:57Speaker 1: Fed will be out there in all their GLORI emotional,
- 32:01Speaker 1: wearing his clothing, cheering him on, crying, laughing, drinking, just
- 32:06Speaker 1: having the time of their lives. Go ahead, and that
- 32:08Speaker 1: damn what happened with Roger.
- 32:09Speaker 5: I mean, when this tweet came, Roger Federal returns to
- 32:11Speaker 5: the US Open.
- 32:12Speaker 4: The five time consecutive champion, will play a doubles exhibition
- 32:15Speaker 4: match with Andy Roddick, John macro and Andre Agassy.
- 32:19Speaker 2: Wow.
- 32:19Speaker 4: I mean, I'm wedding myself. I start checking the ticket
- 32:24Speaker 4: prices and to be way up in the heavens again,
- 32:27Speaker 4: Nick's Nosebley type tickets. It's like one hundred bucks, Like
- 32:30Speaker 4: this is a steal. So I text my one tennis buddy,
- 32:32Speaker 4: gus Bro, you're so far away, you got to get
- 32:34Speaker 4: down there closer. So I say, okay, the good better
- 32:37Speaker 4: seats five hundred bucks, six hundred bucks. I said, okay,
- 32:39Speaker 4: it's no Money's no object when it comes to federal
- 32:42Speaker 4: check myself.
- 32:42Speaker 5: I go, it's a doubles exhibition match.
- 32:45Speaker 4: You're really gonna spend eight hundred dollars just to get
- 32:48Speaker 4: a real good close at Roger's ass, like, just to
- 32:50Speaker 4: see Agacy and Ronick and Macarl'm like, listen, if it's
- 32:55Speaker 4: for all the marbles, it's competitive, it's Roger taking on Novak.
- 32:59Speaker 4: I'll play it thousand bucks. But these guys are limp
- 33:01Speaker 4: dicking their way through an exhibition match. What really is
- 33:04Speaker 4: the price? So I thought better of it. I texted
- 33:06Speaker 4: my agent, who is still trying to help me out
- 33:08Speaker 4: get tickets to the Hall of Fame match. Roger's playing
- 33:11Speaker 4: in Newport, Rhode Island that weekend. Anything you can do,
- 33:14Speaker 4: I said, can you just get me face value of
- 33:15Speaker 4: good tickets? I'll pay. I just don't want to pay
- 33:19Speaker 4: seeing him out on the secondary market for what is it?
- 33:21Speaker 4: Glory for an exhibition match, because I'll get back here.
- 33:23Speaker 4: So the question of the floor is how much do
- 33:25Speaker 4: you pay? It's your favorite tennis player, you love the guy,
- 33:27Speaker 4: but it's a doubles exhibition match. How long is this
- 33:29Speaker 4: thing going? Forty minutes?
- 33:31Speaker 2: Yeah? Maybe if that I love that.
- 33:32Speaker 1: There's spare no expenses for Federer, but for my headphones
- 33:36Speaker 1: and for my kid, yeah, we'll spare.
- 33:38Speaker 4: And the Celtic Bar, we'll spare some expense.
- 33:41Speaker 8: Or my co worker who lost in iro pod. You
- 33:43Speaker 8: want to be venmode for that.
- 33:45Speaker 4: You won't pay the twenty bucks to get in, even.
- 33:47Speaker 8: Though that's the cover charge. You won't pay for new headphones.
- 33:50Speaker 8: But Roger Federer a view of his ass eight hundred Sure.
- 33:54Speaker 2: Yeah, I think I've.
- 33:55Speaker 4: Got a pretty clear cut actually, but when you guys
- 33:56Speaker 4: laid out that way, sometimes you think maybe no, perfect.
- 33:59Speaker 4: That's bang on Federer. Above all things in life, prioritize
- 34:05Speaker 4: it's gonna be happen.
- 34:05Speaker 2: Think about it.
- 34:06Speaker 4: I'm gonna be following Roger there at the US Open,
- 34:08Speaker 4: and then that weekend Newport, Rhode Island he's playing a
- 34:10Speaker 4: grass court exhibition match and then actually being inducted into
- 34:13Speaker 4: the Hall of Fame. If I sim out an angle
- 34:15Speaker 4: ten seconds with Roger, you guys will never hear the
- 34:17Speaker 4: end of it.
- 34:19Speaker 2: It's like Ernie Johnson's picture with Taylor Swift.
- 34:25Speaker 4: Harry Good comp Ernie and Taylor being fed together.
- 34:27Speaker 1: I can't wait if you could spend the day with
- 34:29Speaker 1: Federer or Swift who would you choose? It'd be Roger, right,
- 34:32Speaker 1: of course, Roger, this is even a question, Taylor Swift,
- 34:34Speaker 1: I'm bored after about five minutes. Is there anyone else
- 34:37Speaker 1: I could present to you where you would choose the
- 34:39Speaker 1: other person and not Roger Federer?
- 34:41Speaker 4: I mean Paccino, right, Scorsese, Tanier, But even then, like
- 34:46Speaker 4: Danira is a quiet guy, he's not that much to say.
- 34:48Speaker 4: Al's eighty three, right, Martie? That would get along. Well,
- 34:50Speaker 4: we're talking movies, are having a blast. But Roger like,
- 34:53Speaker 4: because at some point I'm going to see to Roger,
- 34:56Speaker 4: do you want to hit it around a little bit?
- 34:57Speaker 4: And he's not gonna say no. He's not going to
- 35:00Speaker 4: shoot a movie with me. It's not gonna be a
- 35:02Speaker 4: scene partner. Bob's not gonna go let's to a song
- 35:04Speaker 4: and dance with Taylor. But if I said to Roger,
- 35:07Speaker 4: do you want to hit it around? He's like, sure,
- 35:10Speaker 4: I would get to play. I've never seen him so excited,
- 35:14Speaker 4: He's giddy. I guess I imagined it. I lost the
- 35:19Speaker 4: power of speech. I holy shit, this could happen.
- 35:21Speaker 2: That's an amazing power he has over you.
- 35:24Speaker 1: Really, So you asked the question how much would we
- 35:29Speaker 1: pay or how much would you pay? We wouldn't pay anything.
- 35:32Speaker 1: I don't think any of the three of us would
- 35:33Speaker 1: pay a single second. I'm busy that day, but Mike
- 35:37Speaker 1: can't be trying to get out of it. I tell yay, hey,
- 35:40Speaker 1: thirty bucks for a ticket. Do you want to come
- 35:42Speaker 1: watch tennis with me? You're saying absolutely not.
- 35:44Speaker 4: I'm busy that day. I'm more ath the commute?
- 35:47Speaker 7: Am I getting the thirty dollars?
- 35:49Speaker 4: Taylor? I text you twenty bucks. I have an extra ticket.
- 35:52Speaker 4: Any interest in joining me? You're paying people your money
- 35:58Speaker 4: and you Rodnic John McEnroe, Andre Agassi doubles match the bucks.
- 36:04Speaker 4: I'll come join you. He does not have a loyal
- 36:10Speaker 4: er fan you and Brandt. I'm stag team fed Andrew Brandt.
- 36:16Speaker 4: I mean, that's what happened being brand there together.
- 36:20Speaker 2: I got at this point he should let you introduce
- 36:22Speaker 2: him into the Hall of Fame.
- 36:23Speaker 1: For crying out loud, Yes you should. Oh my god,
- 36:27Speaker 1: you're agent on it. I would get this done quicker
- 36:29Speaker 1: than your agent.
- 36:30Speaker 2: What is going on with him?
- 36:31Speaker 5: That's a good point.
- 36:32Speaker 4: Actual you would already have this done and wrapped up.
- 36:34Speaker 4: I've made some calls you're in. What do I need
- 36:36Speaker 4: to do? Just behave yourself.
- 36:37Speaker 2: You're in.
- 36:38Speaker 4: We'll make this happen. And by the way, I'm going
- 36:40Speaker 4: with the agent. If not, though, our backup planet is
- 36:42Speaker 4: Marty Fish. If need be, I'm calling Marty Fish at
- 36:44Speaker 4: Marty anything you can do here? Ten seconds with Federer.
- 36:47Speaker 4: That'll be the name of the episode when I come
- 36:49Speaker 4: back on the show. You guys, just ten seconds with Federer. Yes,
- 36:52Speaker 4: Laurie described second eight, was this second?
- 36:55Speaker 2: Five?
- 36:55Speaker 4: Was this second three? He shook my hand six when
- 36:59Speaker 4: I stared lovingly into his eyes.
- 37:01Speaker 1: It would take him thirty minutes and describe his ten
- 37:03Speaker 1: seconds with Federer.
- 37:06Speaker 6: Take him thirty minutes to describe the smell.
- 37:13Speaker 2: He already knows the smell.
- 37:15Speaker 1: I already know, Colon. Let's be honest here, come on,
- 37:17Speaker 1: So all right, then get out What is this? What
- 37:21Speaker 1: are the dates on this? Because me and Taylor are
- 37:23Speaker 1: going to see Marty Fish in a couple of weeks
- 37:24Speaker 1: out in the Lake Tahoe.
- 37:25Speaker 4: So I want us to work it for you absolutely,
- 37:27Speaker 4: if you can just kind of get in his head
- 37:29Speaker 4: a little bit, you know, just just just throw it
- 37:30Speaker 4: out there. It is going to be August twenty fifth,
- 37:33Speaker 4: he's at the US Open, and then August twenty eighth
- 37:36Speaker 4: he's playing a grass court exhibition match in Newport. Twenty
- 37:39Speaker 4: ninth is Hall of Fame induction. So final week of August.
- 37:41Speaker 4: Just mentioned Marty, you know, is a big fan andthing
- 37:44Speaker 4: you could do, he'd really appreciate it.
- 37:46Speaker 2: All right, when we have Marty on, we'll bring you
- 37:48Speaker 2: on and we'll we'll cement the deal. Okay, we will
- 37:51Speaker 2: get it down front.
- 37:52Speaker 4: This is a great one too. My asient and Marty
- 37:55Speaker 4: Fish colluding together. This is gonna be great. Yes, we'll
- 37:57Speaker 4: tell Marty.
- 37:58Speaker 1: We'll act like we're interested in talking to more Marty,
- 38:00Speaker 1: but we're not, and we'll spring add it. I love Marty,
- 38:02Speaker 1: he's a friend of mine. I love him dearly. And
- 38:04Speaker 1: he owns that tournament, he's the mayor of that tournament.
- 38:07Speaker 1: But I am only bringing him on for the purposes
- 38:09Speaker 1: of getting you seconds with Roger Federer. That is it,
- 38:13Speaker 1: and he'll get it done for you. He's the nicest
- 38:15Speaker 1: man in the world, you know that, Martyn. Marty is
- 38:17Speaker 1: a phenomenal guy. I mean, he's from Minnesota, Minnesota nice.
- 38:19Speaker 1: You know, he's a phenomenal guy. I used to fill
- 38:21Speaker 1: in the.
- 38:21Speaker 4: Radio messaged me about the twins, the Vikings, the Timberwolveses
- 38:24Speaker 4: and all that stuff. I actually no, I'm sort of
- 38:27Speaker 4: get really excited now. Before it just felt like a
- 38:28Speaker 4: pipe tream. Now that Marty's involved, Yeah, it actually happened.
- 38:32Speaker 4: This is great reality.
- 38:33Speaker 1: I'm gonna get him involved. We're gonna get this done
- 38:35Speaker 1: for you. Ten seconds with ten seconds with Fedder. Negotiate
- 38:39Speaker 1: a minute when he's on with you. Okay, say Marty,
- 38:41Speaker 1: give me a minute.
- 38:42Speaker 4: The best pearl will be Like, Marty'll go listen. I
- 38:44Speaker 4: got to the ten seconds. Like I talked to Federist people.
- 38:46Speaker 4: They know you're gonna be there standing the line at
- 38:48Speaker 4: the spot and then like a like a greedy little kid,
- 38:51Speaker 4: like a fat get on this, Marty. I won't be
- 38:52Speaker 4: able to let go the ten seconds. I'm not leaving.
- 38:58Speaker 4: I'm not like this.
- 39:00Speaker 2: You're gonna burn down the friendship between Morty Fish and
- 39:04Speaker 2: Roger Federer.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Doct just one more request, Roger, just one more question.
- 39:12Speaker 2: God, I hope this happens all right, buddy, enjoy your weekend.
- 39:16Speaker 2: We appreciate it. That's the guy. I think it was
- 39:19Speaker 2: feder He couldn't get out of his own car to
- 39:21Speaker 2: play Federer at the US opened.
- 39:23Speaker 4: I believe were in motion.
- 39:25Speaker 2: Love you guys,
