- 0:55Speaker 2: coming to the house today, boy?
- 0:57Speaker 3: Coming to the house?
- 0:58Speaker 2: They're coming to the house. One of our lovely sponsors.
- 1:02Speaker 2: Let's see if you can guess which one.
- 1:03Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:04Speaker 3: Let's see.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Is it Brandon Barton in the game? Hey, look at you.
- 1:08Speaker 2: Brandon Barton and team come out to the space. Going
- 1:12Speaker 2: to get some new add-ons to the home, to the house,
- 1:15Speaker 2: to the homestead there. Brandon Barton's coming out himself.
- 1:18Speaker 3: Roman Shades?
- 1:19Speaker 2: Yes. Incredible service that they offer. I mean, because Brandon,
- 1:23Speaker 2: he's there. He's boots on the ground. He is seeing
- 1:26Speaker 2: your project at your home, at your business. And we
- 1:28Speaker 2: say it all the time. It's inside, it's outside, it's outside,
- 1:30Speaker 2: it's inside. And sometimes, for us, it's been a little
- 1:33Speaker 2: bit of both with our motorized screen that we have
- 1:35Speaker 2: on our patio. But they've done it for one of
- 1:38Speaker 2: our kitchen windows. Now we've got kind of some unique
- 1:41Speaker 2: windows that the sun just blaring in a little bit
- 1:45Speaker 2: too much. Oh, yeah. Right? Tall windows, little skinny windows.
- 1:48Speaker 2: You can't just go by those.
- 1:50Speaker 3: The sun doesn't care either. Right?
- 1:51Speaker 2: It does not. It has bad intentions.
- 1:53Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 1:54Speaker 2: But now we're going to cover up those bad intentions
- 1:55Speaker 2: thanks to K to Z. K to Z Blinds. KTOZBlinds.com.
- 1:59Speaker 3: You know what they say. When in Rome, do as
- 2:03Speaker 3: the Romans do. Get the shades that they used to use.
- 2:08Speaker 2: I'll allow it. Because it's so dumb.
- 2:11Speaker 4: Is it?
- 2:13Speaker 3: Think about it.
- 2:14Speaker 2: All right. So we mentioned it when we were talking
- 2:16Speaker 2: a little bit earlier. Early risers for the Tigers and
- 2:20Speaker 2: the Saints. But before we start getting into the Saints
- 2:24Speaker 2: and the Steelers, Mickey Loomis did have a quote after
- 2:28Speaker 2: Gail Benson called everybody out last week. And look, you
- 2:31Speaker 2: call everybody out and you go and you have a
- 2:33Speaker 2: winning performance. And Mickey Loomis said, I understand where she's
- 2:37Speaker 2: coming from. And I think every once in a while,
- 2:40Speaker 2: we all need to be a little uncomfortable.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Hell yeah. Okay.
- 2:47Speaker 2: You do need to be uncomfortable. Now, is it, was
- 2:50Speaker 2: it true? Uncomfort? Are you like, okay, all right.
- 2:55Speaker 4: I was going to say, when has Mickey Loomis ever
- 2:57Speaker 4: been uncomfortable?
- 2:59Speaker 2: It's been a while.
- 3:00Speaker 4: Like, when has she ever put her foot on his neck?
- 3:03Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 3:04Speaker 3: Did she text him beforehand? She's like, I'm about to
- 3:06Speaker 3: say these things. I'm not talking about you, Mickey.
- 3:08Speaker 2: I'm talking about you, Mickey.
- 3:09Speaker 3: So don't worry.
- 3:09Speaker 5: It would have been great if he came out and
- 3:11Speaker 5: been like, I agree. If I was Kellen Moore, I'd
- 3:13Speaker 5: be nervous. I would have respected the hell out of that.
- 3:21Speaker 3: I'm sure they're listening over there across the pond. How
- 3:25Speaker 3: do you think Paris is right now?
- 3:27Speaker 2: I mean, we know they're listening. Their running backs coach
- 3:29Speaker 2: literally told us at the senior bowl he's a P1.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Yeah, it's true. And Mickey said it, too.
- 3:36Speaker 2: Yeah, Mickey said it.
- 3:36Speaker 5: I know the back of that guy's neck like nobody else.
- 3:39Speaker 3: Yeah, he was not very camera savvy.
- 3:41Speaker 2: No. Well, I mean.
- 3:43Speaker 4: It's radio, to be fair.
- 3:44Speaker 2: It's radio, to be fair to him, yeah.
- 3:45Speaker 3: It's true. Yeah, he was camera savvy. At that place.
- 3:48Speaker 2: Hey, we say it every time we talk about it.
- 3:50Speaker 2: Do I? Radio one, video two.
- 3:53Speaker 4: It's true. What?
- 3:55Speaker 3: We say that?
- 3:56Speaker 2: We used to, like when we first started the studio.
- 3:58Speaker 3: Video two?
- 3:59Speaker 2: When we first started the studio and we weren't as
- 4:02Speaker 2: big like YouTube and stuff. We were on Cox Sports
- 4:05Speaker 2: TV back then. You know, Gordy and Matt used to
- 4:08Speaker 2: always say radio one, video two.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:12Speaker 2: No, Cox Sports is rip.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Rip, rip.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Rip.
- 4:17Speaker 2: You guys love watching the replays on Sunday mornings. Anyways,
- 4:21Speaker 2: back to the Saints. Mickey Loomis. So he did acknowledge
- 4:24Speaker 2: the comments from the owner. And regardless of who really
- 4:27Speaker 2: felt pressure or who didn't feel pressure, they got to win.
- 4:32Speaker 2: So maybe it worked somewhat. Maybe. I don't know. I
- 4:36Speaker 2: know Matt's not very impressed with the way that they won.
- 4:38Speaker 2: I know they still suck starting games. I know their
- 4:41Speaker 2: first 15 needs to be balled up, thrown in the trash,
- 4:44Speaker 2: or you need to uno-card it and flip it and
- 4:46Speaker 2: reverse it. and do it in reverse order, maybe that
- 4:48Speaker 2: will work for you. It's not working currently, one through 15.
- 4:51Speaker 2: Maybe you go 15 to one. I don't know. But
- 4:54Speaker 2: they did win a game, and they have a chance
- 4:58Speaker 2: to get back into the South race, but it's going
- 5:00Speaker 2: to be an uphill battle. Pittsburgh does not feel like
- 5:04Speaker 2: a great matchup for the New Orleans Saints right now.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Yeah. I would say that because the Steelers, they lack in.
- 5:11Speaker 2: Steelers can run the football.
- 5:13Speaker 3: They can run the football.
- 5:13Speaker 2: You can't stop the run.
- 5:14Speaker 3: They lack in, like, you know, complete all 53 guys
- 5:18Speaker 3: on the roster being really, really good. They don't have, like,
- 5:21Speaker 3: the personnel that other teams do, but they have been
- 5:25Speaker 3: forged in fire. It seems like for the last two
- 5:28Speaker 3: years that it seems like every game comes down to
- 5:31Speaker 3: the wire. And what is one thing that the Saints
- 5:33Speaker 3: have proven? Like, they can't start. They can't finish. They
- 5:38Speaker 3: had a good second and third quarter. I think Gale
- 5:40Speaker 3: might have called Jameis Winston and asked him to do
- 5:43Speaker 3: a favor for him. Cause he played that bad. It
- 5:45Speaker 3: looked like he was, you know, trying to let the
- 5:48Speaker 3: saints win. So I do think it's a bad matchup.
- 5:51Speaker 3: Does that mean they can't win? Hell no. The Cardinals
- 5:54Speaker 3: beat the Rams.
- 5:55Speaker 2: Like anything can happen, obviously.
- 5:59Speaker 3: And I don't know, like we've heard the Gail's said
- 6:02Speaker 3: the things that she needed to say. And it wasn't
- 6:05Speaker 3: a press conference. She said it to a club, right?
- 6:07Speaker 3: Got out.
- 6:08Speaker 2: Now they've had to.
- 6:09Speaker 3: Answer these questions for two weeks about it.
- 6:11Speaker 4: Yep.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Like it has, it's a clearly a dish like in
- 6:13Speaker 3: a distraction. Now, how much motivational, like how much motivation
- 6:19Speaker 3: did it put on the staff? You would think a lot.
- 6:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 6:23Speaker 3: Everybody always needs to be a little bit uncomfortable in
- 6:26Speaker 3: their job for sure. Competition. Like that's what coaches preach
- 6:30Speaker 3: competition all the time. Why does competition bring the best
- 6:33Speaker 3: out of people? Because there's a chance you're going to
- 6:36Speaker 3: get fired. If you're not the best, the job's not yours.
- 6:41Speaker 3: And in the NFL competition is the best because you
- 6:44Speaker 3: play like you're going.
- 6:45Speaker 2: To get fired.
- 6:46Speaker 3: That is why competition brings the best out. That is
- 6:50Speaker 3: the only reason competition brings the best out. So if
- 6:53Speaker 3: you threaten the people that have always felt like they
- 6:56Speaker 3: couldn't be fired.
- 6:57Speaker 2: Maybe it makes them do their job better.
- 6:59Speaker 3: I don't know, but coaches do it to players every
- 7:04Speaker 3: single day. Do this or you get fired. The person
- 7:07Speaker 3: that runs the coaches is, person that runs the front
- 7:09Speaker 3: office every boss out there needs to hold your employees
- 7:15Speaker 3: to a high standard if you don't do this we
- 7:18Speaker 3: will replace you yeah and it shouldn't there should be
- 7:21Speaker 3: nobody except the person that writes the checks outside of
- 7:25Speaker 3: the person that writes the checks and signs their name
- 7:28Speaker 3: on the checks nobody should be immune to that.
- 7:33Speaker 2: Not one person It's such a unique situation. No other
- 7:48Speaker 2: front office is as protected as the Saints. But it's
- 7:52Speaker 2: not even remotely close, though. Like, when you start thinking
- 7:55Speaker 2: about some of the, like, guys that have been in
- 7:57Speaker 2: the front office for a long time and decades, it's
- 8:00Speaker 2: because they got, like, you know, multiple skins on the
- 8:02Speaker 2: wall and they built up some equity. Now, this front
- 8:05Speaker 2: office led them to a Super Bowl almost 20 years
- 8:08Speaker 2: ago now.
- 8:08Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
- 8:09Speaker 2: And nobody ever thought the Saints would do something like that,
- 8:12Speaker 2: and they've had good seasons. I don't want to sit
- 8:13Speaker 2: here and act like they haven't, but I know for me,
- 8:18Speaker 2: and I know for you as well because I was
- 8:20Speaker 2: around you, competition and being uncomfortable brings out the best
- 8:26Speaker 2: in a lot of players, coaches, and front office members
- 8:29Speaker 2: because you never feel like you've done enough. And so
- 8:33Speaker 2: when you never feel like you've done enough, what do
- 8:35Speaker 2: you do? You work.
- 8:38Speaker 3: You grind.
- 8:39Speaker 2: And you find a way and you try to put
- 8:40Speaker 2: yourself in a better position than others around you. Not
- 8:44Speaker 2: saying like in the same building, but I'm saying like
- 8:46Speaker 2: I'm going to be compared to other fullbacks. You're going
- 8:49Speaker 2: to be compared to other quarterbacks around the league. And
- 8:51Speaker 2: you try to put yourself in a better light. And
- 8:54Speaker 2: you never felt like, man, I can mail it in
- 8:56Speaker 2: this week. I never felt like that in my career,
- 8:59Speaker 2: in college, in high school, in the pros.
- 9:01Speaker 3: Nobody should.
- 9:02Speaker 2: And so like when you get to a position like that,
- 9:04Speaker 2: a lot of that's human nature. Like the things that
- 9:08Speaker 2: you allow to creep in. And they've creeped in. And
- 9:12Speaker 2: they've stayed.
- 9:13Speaker 3: Right?
- 9:14Speaker 2: Jake, he's the. They're squatters right now.
- 9:16Speaker 3: He's the fourth. Fourth longest tenured general manager in NFL history.
- 9:22Speaker 3: And two of those four are owners. Jerry Jones and
- 9:25Speaker 3: Al Davis. They made themselves a GM. So, of course,
- 9:29Speaker 3: they're not going anywhere. So, it's what the Saints have
- 9:32Speaker 3: done is not a normal thing. The person that's been
- 9:40Speaker 3: a GM the longest who was a non-owner is Mike
- 9:42Speaker 3: Brown from the Bengals. 1991 to present. That's not a
- 9:46Speaker 3: normal thing. Mickey, you've spent since what? 2000?
- 9:49Speaker 1: 2001?
- 9:49Speaker 3: Is that right? Yeah. So it's not a normal thing,
- 9:56Speaker 3: what's going on. So obviously there's a security there. And
- 10:02Speaker 3: I think it's great what Gale did. I know it's
- 10:04Speaker 3: been a couple weeks, so this is kind of like
- 10:06Speaker 3: old news. Yeah, but just seeing him kind of respond
- 10:08Speaker 3: to it. You have to make people uncomfortable with their job. Right.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Just like you said, whether you're trying to or not,
- 10:14Speaker 3: if you feel like you're untouchable, whether you're trying to
- 10:19Speaker 3: or not, Things happen in the subconscious. Things happen that
- 10:24Speaker 3: you stop paying as much attention. You stop trying to
- 10:28Speaker 3: work a little bit harder because you're fearful that you're
- 10:30Speaker 3: going to lose your job. Things happen. It's human nature.
- 10:35Speaker 3: You don't know that they're happening sometimes, but they do.
- 10:38Speaker 3: Kind of like preparing for a directional school U. We
- 10:41Speaker 3: talk about that. You try to. You go through the motions.
- 10:44Speaker 3: You do all the same things, but there's something that
- 10:47Speaker 3: isn't the same as a big game.
- 10:49Speaker 2: And in your mind, to your point, you think, I'm
- 10:52Speaker 2: doing everything I would if I was playing Florida or
- 10:56Speaker 2: Auburn or Alabama. It's like, no, you're not. But if
- 10:59Speaker 2: somebody was threatening to take food off your table, you'd
- 11:01Speaker 2: probably be doing a little bit more.
- 11:02Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 11:03Speaker 2: And the last couple of draft classes, they're hard to defend.
- 11:10Speaker 2: They're really hard to defend.
- 11:12Speaker 4: If they were playing, you could because they, like Jordan Tyson,
- 11:15Speaker 4: we have no idea what he looks like. In the NFL.
- 11:18Speaker 2: And you're going to be judged off drafting a guy
- 11:20Speaker 2: who had an injury history. Yeah. And that was the
- 11:22Speaker 2: big negative checkmark. Yeah.
- 11:24Speaker 4: And Kelvin Banks, like he's, I don't know when they draft.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Was he first round?
- 11:29Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 11:31Speaker 4: So like he's good, but he's not playing.
- 11:36Speaker 5: And also though, going back to not addressing corner.
- 11:39Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 11:39Speaker 5: Free agency or the draft, not addressing corner. You knew
- 11:42Speaker 5: you were shorthanded in that position. You didn't do it.
- 11:46Speaker 2: And also you gave money to a guard and a
- 11:49Speaker 2: running back to be better in the running game.
- 11:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 11:52Speaker 2: And the running back's out, and the running game has
- 11:54Speaker 2: been 28th, I think, in the National Football League.
- 11:58Speaker 3: And then I go back to the draft thing. It's
- 12:01Speaker 3: like you're going to be judged on how good the
- 12:05Speaker 3: players are playing that were right around that pick.
- 12:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 12:08Speaker 3: Sonny Stiles, balling.
- 12:09Speaker 2: Yep.
- 12:10Speaker 3: Montsour Delane, balling. There's guys that you.
- 12:13Speaker 4: Could have had that.
- 12:15Speaker 3: Are absolutely– Fall in.
- 12:17Speaker 2: Yeah, that's true.
- 12:19Speaker 3: So you're going to be judged. Your guy ran a
- 12:21Speaker 3: couple of slant routes in training camp. They're good slant routes.
- 12:26Speaker 3: But then his hamstring pulled off the bone or whatever.
- 12:28Speaker 2: Yeah. Could this team use Caleb Downs right now?
- 12:31Speaker 3: My God. I was watching Sonny play the other day.
- 12:34Speaker 2: Yeah. That was the guy I fell for in the draft.
- 12:39Speaker 3: There's multiple guys that aren't in the sexy positions that
- 12:42Speaker 3: would be immediate impacts. Now, How many more wins did
- 12:45Speaker 3: the Saints have? I don't know. But it makes the
- 12:49Speaker 3: whole season feel a little bit different, I think. But, like,
- 12:53Speaker 3: right or wrong, Jordan Tyson, great play. He just hadn't produced.
- 12:56Speaker 3: You have to be judged by the people that were
- 12:59Speaker 3: taken around him that you potentially could have had.
- 13:01Speaker 2: After you drafted Chris Alave at 11, the next five
- 13:05Speaker 2: picks after that in the first round, Trevor Penning at 19,
- 13:07Speaker 2: Brzee at 29, Huaga at 14. then Banks at nine,
- 13:14Speaker 2: and then Tyson at eight.
- 13:15Speaker 4: She thought Fuaga was going to be a great piece, too.
- 13:18Speaker 5: He's gotten worse every year.
- 13:19Speaker 2: Yeah, he's down great. Every year.
- 13:21Speaker 5: He was actually the best as your rookie left tackle.
- 13:24Speaker 5: Since you moved him over to right, which you thought
- 13:26Speaker 5: was his natural spot, like, it hasn't been great.
- 13:29Speaker 3: Finding bad first-rounders is tough.
- 13:31Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what I was literally just about to say. Like,
- 13:34Speaker 4: you get a good draft position pretty much every season,
- 13:38Speaker 4: and you mess it up this bad every time. 2021
- 13:41Speaker 4: Peyton Turner. Who, I'm pretty sure they just, no, I'm
- 13:45Speaker 4: thinking Trey Palmer.
- 13:46Speaker 2: Never mind.
- 13:47Speaker 3: I'm just going to say it.
- 13:48Speaker 4: Cesar Ruiz.
- 13:49Speaker 2: Well, I mean, Peyton Turner's like on a practice squad somewhere.
- 13:51Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 13:51Speaker 5: Marcus Davenport before that. You traded up. You traded aspects
- 13:55Speaker 5: to go up and get him.
- 13:56Speaker 4: Wait, I want to know what you want in this.
- 13:57Speaker 3: If I was a GM the last eight years, I
- 14:01Speaker 3: would have been fired. I would have been fired a
- 14:05Speaker 3: while ago. You don't like Jeff? That was me. If
- 14:08Speaker 3: Matt Flynn was the GM for the Saints.
- 14:10Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, Ryan Ramchick was great, but that was short-lived.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Yeah, that draft did a lot of heavy lifting. It
- 14:18Speaker 2: built up a lot of equity. That was a really,
- 14:20Speaker 2: really good draft. But, again, in the NFL, the not
- 14:26Speaker 2: for long doesn't stand for just playing careers. It stands
- 14:29Speaker 2: for equity built up. Think about players. You can have
- 14:33Speaker 2: an MVP-type season, and then if you're eight games into
- 14:35Speaker 2: the next season and you're bad, they're looking for somebody else.
- 14:39Speaker 3: Yeah, but, okay, so it built up equity. One good
- 14:42Speaker 3: draft class builds up equity, but you're already in a deficit.
- 14:45Speaker 2: I know. I'm with you.
- 14:46Speaker 5: Well, they're not there anymore. None of those guys are
- 14:48Speaker 5: there anymore.
- 14:49Speaker 4: Yeah. Marshawn Lattimore, not there.
- 14:54Speaker 3: Yeah, the more we dive, like, get deeper in this conversation,
- 14:56Speaker 3: the more I feel like we're all taking crazy pills.
- 14:59Speaker 4: No, they are.
- 15:00Speaker 2: Like, I don't know.
- 15:05Speaker 3: And it has nothing to do with the person, like.
- 15:07Speaker 3: Just look at it like blank.
- 15:09Speaker 4: X's and O's. Don't even think about it as Mickey Loomis.
- 15:13Speaker 4: I mean, you could even look at the Colts right now.
- 15:16Speaker 4: Like Carly Irsay just fired their general manager. She was like,
- 15:22Speaker 4: get it together or bye. And then she actually did it.
- 15:26Speaker 2: He was there for 10 years.
- 15:28Speaker 4: So look at it as don't think Mickey Loomis, don't
- 15:30Speaker 4: think Gail Benson. If this general manager is doing this
- 15:34Speaker 4: awful for this long, why is he still there?
- 15:41Speaker 3: There's one clear negative thing every single year, and it's first-rounders.
- 15:47Speaker 3: You don't have the depth there. You don't have the
- 15:49Speaker 3: depth there, your salary cap. The issues that are year in,
- 15:53Speaker 3: year out haven't necessarily been the players. They're just in
- 15:58Speaker 3: a bad position. We're rebuilding to this.
- 16:01Speaker 2: How long?
- 16:02Speaker 4: So long.
- 16:03Speaker 2: How long?
- 16:03Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 16:06Speaker 2: And again, it's a great point that you made about
- 16:08Speaker 2: the guys surrounding the picks that you make and what
- 16:11Speaker 2: they're doing. The guys right before the pick that you
- 16:14Speaker 2: made and what they're doing. The guys after, like a
- 16:16Speaker 2: Caleb Downs and some other players that we can certainly
- 16:19Speaker 2: point out. And where you're deficient, like a Blake Miller
- 16:23Speaker 2: for the Lions right now. That's playing awesome right tackle.
- 16:26Speaker 2: So you weren't going to take one because that's all you've.
- 16:30Speaker 5: I mean, Jake, you were talking about Caleb Downs. Five
- 16:33Speaker 5: picks after you drafted a third-string tight end in the
- 16:36Speaker 5: third round.
- 16:37Speaker 3: A.J.
- 16:38Speaker 4: Halsey.
- 16:39Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:42Speaker 5: Daylon Everett from Georgia. He hadn't been great, but he
- 16:44Speaker 5: was later in that third round.
- 16:45Speaker 2: He was available.
- 16:46Speaker 5: You needed DB help, and you didn't address that either.
- 16:51Speaker 2: And it stinks, like, because we know a lot of
- 16:52Speaker 2: these people personally, right?
- 16:53Speaker 3: Yeah. It's like, but you got to take the picture
- 16:57Speaker 3: of the person. You got to take the name off
- 16:58Speaker 3: and just look at it, like, job that's being done
- 17:01Speaker 3: the positions that are being filled by who and just
- 17:04Speaker 3: make it a blank name and it's just like at
- 17:06Speaker 3: some point you just got to be you got to
- 17:10Speaker 3: be realistic you got to use common sense.
- 17:12Speaker 2: Well when you're running a organization i don't ever think
- 17:14Speaker 2: in the nfl you can be sensitive if you are
- 17:16Speaker 2: i just don't think it lasts very long for you
- 17:18Speaker 2: because you're right like there's people involved that we do
- 17:21Speaker 2: have great relationships with but also we were graded every
- 17:24Speaker 2: single day as players It's true. I have a great
- 17:27Speaker 2: relationship with North Turner. You have a great relationship with
- 17:29Speaker 2: Mike McCarthy and all the coaches that you play for.
- 17:32Speaker 1: Right. Yeah.
- 17:32Speaker 2: I mean, you would say so for the most part,
- 17:34Speaker 2: you could text them right now. You'd have a great conversation. Well,
- 17:36Speaker 2: North cut me one time.
- 17:38Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:38Speaker 2: I guess like you got cut by somebody.
- 17:40Speaker 3: Mickey did decide not to sign me. So it's true.
- 17:43Speaker 2: So, you know what I'm saying? So like, that's just
- 17:47Speaker 2: the way, that's the nature of the league more than any,
- 17:50Speaker 2: like it is so competitive and there's, there's so few
- 17:52Speaker 2: jobs and you're, you know, the, the, The second most
- 17:57Speaker 2: popular sport in our country is what? College football. Every
- 18:00Speaker 2: one of those players that's playing college football in the
- 18:02Speaker 2: second most popular sport is trying to play in the NFL.
- 18:05Speaker 2: So that's what it is. That's by nature. So you
- 18:09Speaker 2: have to. You have to talk about the success, and
- 18:12Speaker 2: you have to talk about the failures. There's teams out
- 18:15Speaker 2: there that draft. For a long time, it was the Eagles.
- 18:20Speaker 2: The Eagles drafted really, really well. I think the Lions
- 18:23Speaker 2: draft really, really well. Like, we're talking about that. But
- 18:26Speaker 2: if they have two bad seasons, guess what we're talking about? Man,
- 18:29Speaker 2: they can't draft. They suck at drafting. Because that's just
- 18:32Speaker 2: the way it is. And so, like, when you have
- 18:34Speaker 2: what we just talked about, and you have the history
- 18:38Speaker 2: of first-round picks since Chris Alabe. And I do think
- 18:41Speaker 2: Banks is a good player. I think he's a good player.
- 18:42Speaker 3: He is.
- 18:42Speaker 4: He's just not playing.
- 18:44Speaker 2: It's tough. And you've got to be graded off that.
- 18:46Speaker 2: And it's hard.
- 18:47Speaker 3: But people can do it. I mean, someone brings up
- 18:48Speaker 3: a good point in the chat. How many teams can
- 18:50Speaker 3: consistently draft well? No, because a lot of it's a
- 18:52Speaker 3: guessing game. You're guessing how they're going to. But there's
- 18:57Speaker 3: also not a lot that. Again, Mickey's the second longest tenured.
- 19:02Speaker 3: I think the Chiefs draft really well. I think the
- 19:05Speaker 3: Eagles draft really well. Seahawks, my guy Snyder.
- 19:08Speaker 2: The Seahawks draft really well.
- 19:10Speaker 4: But guess what?
- 19:11Speaker 2: You don't. I mean, we could go down a list.
- 19:12Speaker 4: You consistently don't draft well, but. Some people, they'll hit
- 19:17Speaker 4: every once in a while. You have not hit since.
- 19:20Speaker 4: And I feel like it took Chris Olave a little
- 19:22Speaker 4: bit to have this much return that he has right now.
- 19:26Speaker 2: It's a hit.
- 19:26Speaker 4: I'm saying it is, but I'm.
- 19:28Speaker 2: Saying like I.
- 19:30Speaker 3: We could hit at a better rate, at a higher clip.
- 19:33Speaker 4: I mean, have you seen my fantasy football?
- 19:36Speaker 3: We could hit. We would have hit at a higher clip.
- 19:38Speaker 3: For sure.
- 19:39Speaker 5: Look at the draft class you just pointed out. Brian Ramchick.
- 19:43Speaker 5: Marshall and Lattimore, like think about how long ago that was.
- 19:46Speaker 5: You're still pointing to that one because that's the outlier
- 19:48Speaker 5: in terms of success.
- 19:50Speaker 4: Yeah that was what like i was trying to say
- 19:51Speaker 4: is that there's people that hit every once in a
- 19:54Speaker 4: while mickey has like consistently not hit and at some
- 19:59Speaker 4: point whenever you're that consistent with it your seat starts
- 20:02Speaker 4: to get hot for other organizations.
- 20:05Speaker 5: I mean you just went into the colds.
- 20:07Speaker 4: Yeah I mean, Joe Shane's seat should be, I guess
- 20:12Speaker 4: Jackson Dart kind of cooled.
- 20:13Speaker 2: It down a little bit.
- 20:15Speaker 5: Well, the Colts, I mean, they were pissed because Chris
- 20:18Speaker 5: Ballard hitched his wagon to Anthony Richardson too hard. That
- 20:22Speaker 5: was one of his guys, and that didn't work out.
- 20:25Speaker 5: Tried to bring in Daniel Jones, salvage things. That didn't
- 20:27Speaker 5: work out, and they cut ties.
- 20:28Speaker 4: It did until it didn't.
- 20:29Speaker 2: Did you just bring up Jack's son?
- 20:32Speaker 4: I did. Jack's son.
- 20:34Speaker 5: Who's Jack?
- 20:36Speaker 3: Obviously his dad.
- 20:38Speaker 2: That's three. Inside the chat, are you sure the Lions
- 20:40Speaker 2: draft well? Their last five first-round picks, Jameer Gibbs, Jack Campbell,
- 20:45Speaker 2: two all pros, Terry and Arnold, but really good on
- 20:48Speaker 2: the field. It was off the field.
- 20:50Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 20:50Speaker 2: Ty Lake-Williams, who is a starter in the middle of
- 20:52Speaker 2: the defense, and then Blake Miller, who's playing at an
- 20:55Speaker 2: incredibly high level. So, yeah, they draft pretty well. Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 21:00Speaker 5: Look at what they did when they traded Matthew Stafford.
- 21:02Speaker 5: The return on those picks, the guys they grabbed.
- 21:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 2: Amon Ross, St.
- 21:06Speaker 1: Brown.
- 21:06Speaker 2: We didn't even, like, Aiden Hutchinson.
- 21:08Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 21:09Speaker 5: They drafted really well.
- 21:10Speaker 2: All right. We have gone really long there on the
- 21:14Speaker 2: Saints and where they're currently at right now. We'll take
- 21:17Speaker 2: a break. More OTB when we come back here live
- 21:20Speaker 2: from the Raising Cane Studio. Off the bench. Or go
- 21:23Speaker 2: to FABT.com. FABT.com. First American Bank and Trust been in

- 21:29Speaker 2: here in South Louisiana, and they've been serving you. This
- 21:33Speaker 2: is your bank. You are a name. You are a face.
- 21:36Speaker 2: You are a relationship with FABT, not just another account number.
- 21:40Speaker 2: So bank with someone that's here in the local community.
- 21:43Speaker 2: Decisions are made right here in the local community. Go

- 21:48Speaker 3: Hold up, hold up. Did you say 1910? I did.
- 21:51Speaker 3: Before World War I? Before the... You didn't know that, actually.
- 21:55Speaker 3: You had to think about it. First American Banking Trust, FABT.com.
- 22:00Speaker 3: For a long time is what the point is. They've
- 22:02Speaker 3: been here in Louisiana working with Louisiana families, working with
- 22:05Speaker 3: Louisiana businesses to get you, of course, the bank accounts,
- 22:09Speaker 3: the credit cards, but also the loans. Like if you
- 22:11Speaker 3: have a loan need, maybe you're growing your family, you
- 22:14Speaker 3: need a bigger house, and you're looking for a mortgage.
- 22:16Speaker 3: Maybe you started a local business. You need a little runway.
- 22:19Speaker 2: Well, go to them.
- 22:19Speaker 3: Local people making local decisions. Right over there. First American
- 22:22Speaker 3: Banking Trust, FABT.com.
- 22:29Speaker 6: Welcome back to Off the Bench. Wednesday's show is brought
- 22:34Speaker 6: to you by Poncho.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Back to life.
- 22:38Speaker 5: Back, back to life.
- 22:39Speaker 2: Hands up.
- 22:49Speaker 4: All right, welcome back in.
- 22:51Speaker 6: OTB here live from the Razor Cane studio. Where Poncho?
- 22:57Speaker 4: Shout out to Poncho. Every day, all day.
- 23:18Speaker 3: All day.
- 23:19Speaker 2: All right. We've been worried about LSU basketball having enough.
- 23:23Speaker 4: I wasn't worried about it.
- 23:24Speaker 3: I've been on the edge of my seat.
- 23:24Speaker 4: I always knew it was going to happen.
- 23:25Speaker 3: Just kidding.
- 23:26Speaker 2: Okay, we've been questioning if LSU basketball is going to have,
- 23:30Speaker 2: you know, a full team, a full squad, and, you know,
- 23:33Speaker 2: a little risky. But, well, you know what? Our guy
- 23:36Speaker 2: Will Wade said, I got you. Said, trust me.
- 23:40Speaker 3: Never doubt.
- 23:41Speaker 2: Because, Tay-Tay, give us the list. of players that are
- 23:46Speaker 2: going to be playing for your LSU fighters.
- 23:48Speaker 5: Yeah, whoever runs their roster on the website, his fingers
- 23:51Speaker 5: are going to be busy today. They got four guys
- 23:53Speaker 5: eligible yesterday. Saliu Niang was the big one. Donovan Dent
- 24:00Speaker 5: is officially, officially eligible. We kind of knew that because
- 24:03Speaker 5: he actually played, yeah, I mean, he played in the
- 24:05Speaker 5: in the exhibition against McNeese, our guy to why sky
- 24:08Speaker 5: sky Clark, he's going to be out there as well.
- 24:10Speaker 5: And Bryce dessert, all four of them were ruled eligible
- 24:14Speaker 5: as of yesterday evening. Now doesn't look like you're going
- 24:18Speaker 5: to have RJ Lewis. However, that was always going to
- 24:20Speaker 5: be a long shot anyways, but you do have all
- 24:23Speaker 5: of these guys. I remember like Niang was drafted by
- 24:26Speaker 5: the calves back in 2025 in the second round, never
- 24:28Speaker 5: played though. He, he played overseas and an Italian league
- 24:32Speaker 5: actually last year played 38 games in the Euro league. So,
- 24:35Speaker 5: He is eligible, again, along with Dent, Sky Clark, Bryce Dessert.
- 24:40Speaker 4: So, finally, these guys could play less than 39 minutes
- 24:45Speaker 4: on the court. That's what they were doing.
- 24:49Speaker 5: You got two guys that are fouling out.
- 24:50Speaker 4: One of their last two exhibitions, though.
- 24:51Speaker 2: Yeah, he did. No way. No doubt.
- 24:54Speaker 4: I was at the McNeese one.
- 24:57Speaker 2: And, I.
- 24:59Speaker 1: Mean, it.
- 25:01Speaker 4: Doesn't feel great when you're, like, in a toss-up with McNeese.
- 25:06Speaker 4: during an exhibition game, but I will say that like
- 25:09Speaker 4: we had six players at six or seven players at
- 25:12Speaker 4: the time that were actually able to be out on
- 25:15Speaker 4: the court. The seventh one was a roost check at
- 25:18Speaker 4: the very last minute. And this is going to sound
- 25:23Speaker 4: like I'm kind of like trying to pump sunshine or whatever,
- 25:26Speaker 4: but I will say that the one thing that I
- 25:28Speaker 4: was impressed by is it was obviously a gritty performance
- 25:31Speaker 4: because they had to play the whole entire time.
- 25:35Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 25:35Speaker 4: So I do think that they were giving a lot
- 25:38Speaker 4: of really good effort. I wasn't at the last one,
- 25:40Speaker 4: but the McNeese one, I'll say that part of it.
- 25:44Speaker 4: I don't know what the other guys look like, but
- 25:45Speaker 4: I will say that there was a lot of good
- 25:47Speaker 4: effort out on that court. I think Donovan Dent is
- 25:52Speaker 4: going to be one of your most important pieces.
- 25:56Speaker 5: Yeah, him in the backcourt's awesome. They struggled in free
- 25:59Speaker 5: throws in the second half. Well, and part of that
- 26:02Speaker 5: goes back to her, right? Like what she was saying, fatigue, fatigue.
- 26:05Speaker 5: Like if you make those free throws, that game is
- 26:08Speaker 5: not as close as it looks.
- 26:09Speaker 4: That's true. We missed a lot of free throws that,
- 26:12Speaker 4: that exhibition game.
- 26:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah. I'm looking forward to it. I mean, you won
- 26:18Speaker 2: both those games. We love, we'll wait here. We just do.
- 26:21Speaker 2: If you don't go fly kite, just the way it
- 26:23Speaker 2: is around here. He took a chance and, For the
- 26:27Speaker 2: most part, the chance paid off outside of one guy,
- 26:30Speaker 2: and you're right. That was a long shot, and that
- 26:32Speaker 2: was the one that was probably the most egregious. And
- 26:34Speaker 2: so you get a full roster here, a roster that's
- 26:37Speaker 2: ready to compete, and I'm excited to go back into
- 26:40Speaker 2: the PMAC. I have not been in the PMAC for
- 26:42Speaker 2: a men's game in a very, very long time because, well,
- 26:45Speaker 2: it wasn't worth the price of admission. No. This was not. Look,
- 26:49Speaker 2: my children love going to the basketball games, but we
- 26:51Speaker 2: were only going to go watch Coach Mulkey's team. Now
- 26:53Speaker 2: we'll watch Coach Mulkey and Coach Wade's team. And I'm
- 26:56Speaker 2: excited to get back into the PMAC and go check
- 26:59Speaker 2: out those games and have some juice and have a
- 27:01Speaker 2: coach that has, you know, the fire and the passion
- 27:04Speaker 2: for his team that Will Wade does. And look, there's
- 27:06Speaker 2: nothing against Coach McMahon. He was always great to us.
- 27:08Speaker 3: Great guy.
- 27:09Speaker 2: It's a completely different style of coaching. Yeah. And I
- 27:11Speaker 2: am here for what we're going to see inside the
- 27:14Speaker 2: PMAC coming up for basketball season.
- 27:15Speaker 5: Have we checked on Greg Sankey? I imagine the Neang
- 27:18Speaker 5: News really sent him over the edge yesterday.
- 27:20Speaker 2: No, because he's probably like, watch this penalty I get
- 27:23Speaker 2: called in the Auburn game.
- 27:24Speaker 4: I was so excited to see Will Wade coaching an
- 27:28Speaker 4: LSU basketball team again. Like it really was such a
- 27:31Speaker 4: good feeling to be watching that whenever I was at
- 27:34Speaker 4: the McNeese game. And Mo Diabate, he's not like, I
- 27:40Speaker 4: think he's going to end up being another really important
- 27:42Speaker 4: piece on your team as well. Like Mo Diabate and
- 27:44Speaker 4: Dent were the two that really stood out to me.
- 27:47Speaker 5: Well, Mo, that was like the first piece that Wade
- 27:49Speaker 5: Wing got. Like, he's a guy that has not only
- 27:52Speaker 5: Division I experience, experience in this conference. Like, yeah, he's
- 27:55Speaker 5: a huge piece.
- 27:59Speaker 4: Matt, thoughts?
- 28:00Speaker 2: Oh, yeah, for sure.
- 28:01Speaker 3: I love it. I'm crushing it. We're going to, you know,
- 28:04Speaker 3: lead the league in three-pointers.
- 28:06Speaker 5: In three-pointers?
- 28:07Speaker 1: Oh, okay. Okay.
- 28:07Speaker 4: All right, all right.
- 28:11Speaker 5: Excited about 2Y Sky?
- 28:13Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, definitely.
- 28:14Speaker 2: Yep.
- 28:14Speaker 3: What does that mean?
- 28:16Speaker 5: Scott Clark with two Ys.
- 28:17Speaker 3: That's right. You have said that before. Do people call
- 28:21Speaker 3: him that for real?
- 28:22Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 28:22Speaker 3: I like it.
- 28:23Speaker 2: I like it, too. I like it, too. Pretty good.
- 28:25Speaker 3: I can get behind that.
- 28:30Speaker 1: Yep.
- 28:32Speaker 2: Your next exhibition game is going to be against Florida State.
- 28:35Speaker 2: You know you're going to have to lock in, right?
- 28:37Speaker 2: Because this isn't the old LSU team that's just going
- 28:40Speaker 2: to lose every game.
- 28:41Speaker 4: This is going to be a good team.
- 28:42Speaker 2: You did good during baseball. Actually, I don't know.
- 28:44Speaker 5: You did good during baseball.
- 28:46Speaker 3: Crush baseball.
- 28:47Speaker 2: So you've got an exhibition on the road in Tallahassee
- 28:50Speaker 2: against Florida State coming up on Saturday. And then things
- 28:53Speaker 2: get started on Tuesday, November the 3rd. You've got LSU
- 28:57Speaker 2: New Orleans coming inside the PMAC. You've got Texas Southern.
- 29:00Speaker 2: You've got Louisiana Tech. And then you'll have your first
- 29:03Speaker 2: big test of the year. You are going across the country, Spokane, Washington,
- 29:08Speaker 2: to take on Gonzaga on Saturday, November the 14th. All right,
- 29:12Speaker 2: we will take a break. More OTB when we come
- 29:14Speaker 2: back here live from the Raising Gains studio.
- 29:17Speaker 5: Off the bench.
- 29:19Speaker 2: Oh, my gosh.
- 29:25Speaker 3: Baby, let me.
- 29:26Speaker 2: I did it again, so I'm going to let go.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Oh, my. Baby, let me love you down.
- 29:34Speaker 6: There's so many ways.
- 29:38Speaker 1: To love you. Baby.
- 29:30Speaker 4: Welcome back to Off the Bench.
- 29:37Speaker 6: Wednesday's show is brought to you by Poncho.
- 29:49Speaker 4: I'm so in love.
- 29:51Speaker 3: I found you finally.
- 29:53Speaker 2: .
- 29:58Speaker 3: .
- 30:00Speaker 2: Welcome back in, OTB.
- 30:05Speaker 3: I was disrespectful to that song.
- 30:07Speaker 4: You know who does things the right way? Dabo Sweeney.
- 30:10Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:10Speaker 4: He does things the right way.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Yeah, Matt. What are y'all talking about?
- 30:16Speaker 3: What you on?
- 30:16Speaker 2: Dabo Sweeney. Aw, shucks. We ain't going to do transfer.
- 30:20Speaker 4: Kevin Moore does things the right way.
- 30:23Speaker 2: We're going to do it through high school.
- 30:24Speaker 5: Did he ever land that 10-star? Remember the 10-star guy?
- 30:28Speaker 4: Wait, the bedazzled football?
- 30:29Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 30:30Speaker 5: You're a 10-star in my book.
- 30:32Speaker 2: Because I forgot your name.
- 30:33Speaker 4: You know he forgot his name.
- 30:35Speaker 5: Totally forgot dude's name. Seems like they had a good relationship.
- 30:39Speaker 3: 10 out of 10? 10 out of 10.
- 30:45Speaker 5: He said, what are you, four-star, five-star? Don't even matter.
- 30:47Speaker 5: You're ten-star in my book. I was like, hell yeah.
- 30:51Speaker 5: Where do I sign?
- 30:52Speaker 2: It's good coin fun. Yes.
- 30:59Speaker 5: For entertainment purposes, I like that.
- 31:01Speaker 3: His knees are still making it, too.
- 31:04Speaker 4: I cannot believe that.
- 31:05Speaker 3: Honestly, I can't believe it.
- 31:06Speaker 5: Is he still running down the hill?
- 31:10Speaker 4: Is he still running down the hill?
- 31:11Speaker 3: Every game?
- 31:14Speaker 5: He's been there a long time and not.
- 31:16Speaker 4: One slip of the fall. Okay, let me see this.
- 31:18Speaker 2: At what point do we start respecting his athletic ability?
- 31:21Speaker 5: I mean, I think he got to.
- 31:21Speaker 4: I kind of respect it right now, but like.
- 31:23Speaker 3: You have to. Like, I don't look at Dabo and say, yeah, bud,
- 31:30Speaker 3: you're super athletic.
- 31:32Speaker 2: He did play football at Alabama.
- 31:36Speaker 5: Receiving.
- 31:36Speaker 3: Couldn't tell by looking at him. But when you couple
- 31:41Speaker 3: that with the fact that he sprints down a hill.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Every single day for over a decade.
- 31:48Speaker 2: You can't argue that.
- 31:50Speaker 4: Look, I respect Dabo. His time has passed, though. Maybe.
- 31:54Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 31:54Speaker 4: They're four and two-fourth in the ACC right now. I mean,
- 31:57Speaker 4: the ACC is not a great conference.
- 31:58Speaker 2: You might as well be 15th in another real conference.
- 32:02Speaker 2: At least they're in a conference.
- 32:07Speaker 1: Fair.
- 32:09Speaker 2: Why do you hate UConn?
- 32:13Speaker 3: They're cowards. Fair?
- 32:21Speaker 2: Yeah. Sure.
- 32:22Speaker 3: If Notre Dame's.
- 32:23Speaker 2: I mean, maybe they probably tried to get in one there.
- 32:25Speaker 2: Now we're good. Now we're good.
- 32:29Speaker 3: UConn actually tried.
- 32:29Speaker 2: Nah, bro. Actually, we're going to sit this one out.
- 32:33Speaker 2: You should as well, UConn. Although they were actually pretty
- 32:37Speaker 2: good last year.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Anyways. I'm going to make a commitment to you all.
- 32:43Speaker 3: I made a commitment to y'all last year. I made
- 32:46Speaker 3: a baseball commitment to y'all.
- 32:49Speaker 2: Oh. You going to make a basketball one to us?
- 32:52Speaker 3: I was about to, and I hesitated.
- 32:55Speaker 4: Then don't half-step into it.
- 32:57Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 32:58Speaker 4: I don't want to hear it then.
- 32:59Speaker 2: I don't want your toe in the sand. I want
- 33:01Speaker 2: your foot in the sand, bud. Okay.
- 33:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't commit to that now.
- 33:04Speaker 1: Okay.
- 33:05Speaker 5: Well, man, that was anticlimactic, huh?
- 33:07Speaker 2: Announcement.
- 33:08Speaker 5: So I was going to, and then I was going
- 33:09Speaker 5: to do it. Guys, big announcement.
- 33:11Speaker 2: So when we have Coach Wade on. Because he used
- 33:14Speaker 2: to come on OTV every single week. And this is
- 33:17Speaker 2: the show that has on Kim Mulkey every week and
- 33:20Speaker 2: Jay Johnson every week. We have Jay Clark on. We
- 33:23Speaker 2: have Coach Torino on. We're the coach's show. Everybody but
- 33:27Speaker 2: the football coach. Matt's just going to sit here.
- 33:30Speaker 4: We're not important enough for Lane Kiffin.
- 33:32Speaker 2: Well, he doesn't do any weekly interviews, I guess.
- 33:36Speaker 4: Just his show. That's it. He doesn't even do the
- 33:39Speaker 4: full thing. But I actually like it.
- 33:41Speaker 2: Come on, bud.
- 33:42Speaker 5: Come on, Lane.
- 33:44Speaker 2: Of the coaches that I've met and hung out with
- 33:47Speaker 2: a little bit over there, I'd like to get my
- 33:50Speaker 2: guy Kevin Smith in here.
- 33:52Speaker 4: Okay.
- 33:53Speaker 5: His son's playing well, too.
- 33:55Speaker 2: Yeah. We always talk about all of us were the
- 33:59Speaker 2: same draft class and got a chance to know him
- 34:02Speaker 2: a little bit. He would be our style of OTB here.
- 34:06Speaker 4: Come on, Kevin.
- 34:07Speaker 3: Come on. Again.
- 34:08Speaker 2: Come on, big coach. That's right.
- 34:13Speaker 3: No, if Will's coming on the show, I'll dive in.
- 34:15Speaker 3: I'll make that commitment. I'll go ahead and do it.
- 34:17Speaker 2: Yeah, I'm actually... I'm going to dive in.
- 34:18Speaker 5: I'm not that a little clawed before the interview. Can't
- 34:20Speaker 5: help you, Matt.
- 34:21Speaker 3: Bingo.
- 34:22Speaker 2: Coach Mulkey will probably be next week, by the way.
- 34:25Speaker 2: Probably start that back.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Up next week. Yeah. Love that. I'm already sweating.
- 34:31Speaker 2: Just don't call... I don't really know what you're asking.
- 34:33Speaker 2: If there's a Richard on the team, just don't call
- 34:35Speaker 2: it Richard. Now, Matt, you're from Texas. That was... God,
- 34:41Speaker 2: that was one of my favorite moments ever.
- 34:43Speaker 4: I agree with Alvo. Should have a weekly cookie segment.
- 34:46Speaker 2: He's in school.
- 34:48Speaker 3: Yeah. He is a child.
- 34:50Speaker 2: He is in school.
- 34:51Speaker 3: He is a child. Yeah. Not an adult.
- 34:57Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 34:57Speaker 2: He goes to the lab school.
- 35:00Speaker 3: Were we in Mobile when I mispronounced? I said Richard.
- 35:05Speaker 2: No, I don't know.
- 35:06Speaker 4: I actually feel like we were.
- 35:08Speaker 2: The best part was she's kind of like, hey, now
- 35:10Speaker 2: I know you're from Texas. Hold up now. I'm so
- 35:15Speaker 2: nervous right now. Why'd you throw that on me today?
- 35:21Speaker 4: I don't really get what you're asking, but I'll try
- 35:23Speaker 4: to answer.
- 35:24Speaker 2: I wasn't here for that one. I don't know where
- 35:27Speaker 2: I was.
- 35:27Speaker 3: That was a good question.
- 35:28Speaker 2: But I was not here for that one.
- 35:30Speaker 4: If you articulated it well... It would have been a
- 35:34Speaker 4: good question. There's just a lot of buildup to it.
- 35:38Speaker 4: Like if you would have just straight up been like,
- 35:40Speaker 4: is there any supervision on social media?
- 35:42Speaker 5: Cause she answered it correctly.
- 35:46Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 35:48Speaker 4: That was a great week. Paul Tuxey was born that week.
- 35:52Speaker 3: That was a good week.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Freckle inspector.
- 35:55Speaker 3: Oh yeah.
- 35:56Speaker 5: That was Olympic week.
- 35:56Speaker 2: Hell yeah.
- 35:58Speaker 5: Jake, you missed the Olympic week, bud.
- 36:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I know.
- 36:01Speaker 5: Four years from now, mark your calendar down. You gotta
- 36:03Speaker 5: be here.
- 36:04Speaker 3: Hats to be here.
- 36:05Speaker 2: All right.
- 36:07Speaker 3: Penis injections.
- 36:08Speaker 2: That's right.
- 36:09Speaker 4: That's what happened.
- 36:11Speaker 5: On the ski jump.
- 36:12Speaker 3: That was the week you decided to leave. Penis injection scandal. Yeah.
- 36:17Speaker 2: What was that? Was that National Championship?
- 36:19Speaker 4: No.
- 36:20Speaker 3: Super Bowl.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Super Bowl?
- 36:22Speaker 5: Yeah, because it was the Winter Olympics, so it would
- 36:25Speaker 5: have been February.
- 36:26Speaker 4: It was Groundhog Day. Yeah, so Super Bowl.
- 36:30Speaker 5: Okay.
- 36:30Speaker 4: Groundhogs. Yeah.
- 36:33Speaker 2: I don't know if that adds up in time frame,
- 36:35Speaker 2: but it seems like it. Are you going to bail
- 36:37Speaker 2: on the Super Bowl again?
- 36:38Speaker 3: What Super Bowl?
- 36:39Speaker 2: This year. Weren't we supposed to go in L.A.? No,
- 36:42Speaker 2: I'm not going there. Are you going to be by yourself?
- 36:44Speaker 4: No, they couldn't go because of your schedule.
- 36:46Speaker 3: It was West Coast.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Oh, because it would be too early. Yeah.
- 36:48Speaker 3: Yeah, it was a West Coast thing.
- 36:51Speaker 2: And we were going to do it for a long time,
- 36:52Speaker 2: and then they didn't want to switch Hanny's show with
- 36:56Speaker 2: our hunt show.
- 36:57Speaker 3: It was too much.
- 36:58Speaker 4: It was like a scheduling conflict.
- 36:59Speaker 2: So you're not going again. So just to let you know,
- 37:00Speaker 2: you'll be by yourself for a week again.
- 37:02Speaker 3: We're going to run national. All right. You're leaving a
- 37:05Speaker 3: bunch when the playoffs start, aren't you? NFL playoffs.
- 37:11Speaker 2: I will be here way more.
- 37:11Speaker 3: I think that's what you said.
- 37:12Speaker 2: I will be here way more now than I was
- 37:15Speaker 2: then because I was going to every round of the
- 37:17Speaker 2: playoffs for college, then the national championship.
- 37:20Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 37:20Speaker 4: Then NFL.
- 37:21Speaker 5: Then you did Army, Navy, right?
- 37:22Speaker 2: Yeah. All that rolled in. Like, December to March, not here.
- 37:26Speaker 2: But new schedule, I do go to one round of
- 37:30Speaker 2: the playoffs, championship, We don't know AFC or NFC. During
- 37:35Speaker 2: the Senior Bowl, we'll do that. But we'll be together
- 37:38Speaker 2: for that.
- 37:38Speaker 3: We're going to go to the Senior Bowl?
- 37:40Speaker 4: Are we doing the Senior Bowl?
- 37:41Speaker 3: Yeah, I assume.
- 37:42Speaker 2: We've done it every year for like last six.
- 37:44Speaker 3: All right.
- 37:45Speaker 2: Let's do it. No, I do have to go to
- 37:46Speaker 2: the Super Bowl. I do have to do that. So,
- 37:50Speaker 2: that one's up to you, nerd. God, I'm so nervous
- 37:53Speaker 2: right now. Yeah, I can tell.
- 37:56Speaker 3: Don't worry.
- 37:57Speaker 4: I wonder if that girl's going to be there again.
- 37:58Speaker 2: I'm checking the roster. She's got to make a living.
- 38:03Speaker 3: The model.
- 38:04Speaker 2: Yeah, up in the top. All right. Anyways, we'll take
- 38:07Speaker 2: a break. Borrowed TV. When we come back, we'll ask
- 38:10Speaker 2: the bench. Go ahead and get those questions inside the chat.

- 39:47Speaker 2: to let it go now.
- 39:56Speaker 6: All right, welcome back here.
- 40:08Speaker 3: Alchemist closing out the show. Before we get to this
- 40:10Speaker 3: last segment, we want to tell you about our friends
- 40:12Speaker 3: over at Catalyst. When you think about Louisiana, you think
- 40:14Speaker 3: about energy, and one company helping shape the future is Catalyst.
- 40:18Speaker 3: but it's about more than just exporting energy. With Catalyst,
- 40:22Speaker 3: it's about creating local jobs, supporting local businesses, strengthening communities,
- 40:25Speaker 3: and reinforcing Louisiana's position as one of the world's leading
- 40:29Speaker 3: energy hubs. Through its natural gas production and the Commonwealth
- 40:32Speaker 3: LNG project, Catalyst is helping build an integrated energy platform
- 40:36Speaker 3: that connects domestic resources with the growing global demand. As
- 40:39Speaker 3: construction continues on Louisiana's Gulf Coast, Catalyst is proud to
- 40:42Speaker 3: invest in American energy, American workers, and a stronger economic future.
- 40:47Speaker 3: Catalyst connecting Louisiana energy to the world. We got good
- 40:57Speaker 3: energy today.
- 40:58Speaker 2: It's R & B Wednesday, bruh. Of course we do.
- 41:01Speaker 4: That's two days in a row.
- 41:03Speaker 3: Catalyst might be fueling us.
- 41:11Speaker 4: It's the way I feel.
- 41:12Speaker 2: I know I made a mistake and I was too late.
- 41:15Speaker 2: But she ain't coming back.
- 41:16Speaker 5: What am I going to do?
- 41:20Speaker 2: That has been choked on that last one.
- 41:24Speaker 5: Guys, if you do it as much as me, it's
- 41:25Speaker 5: bound to happen.
- 41:28Speaker 2: How long is 51 days?
- 41:32Speaker 4: Huh?
- 41:34Speaker 2: Usher. 61 hours.
- 41:35Speaker 1: 61 days.
- 41:35Speaker 4: If I had to guess.
- 41:42Speaker 5: Matt, you're doing the hard math over there. It's 50
- 41:44Speaker 5: plus 11 would be 60.
- 41:45Speaker 3: 50 plus 11?
- 41:45Speaker 2: Hashtag ask the bench. Did y'all open the card? Yes,
- 41:50Speaker 2: he's going to do whatever he wants. Did y'all open
- 41:51Speaker 2: the card yesterday? We did. It was a base card,
- 41:54Speaker 2: which is basically worth nothing inside of it.
- 41:57Speaker 4: Video is on.
- 41:58Speaker 2: Video is on. He ripped it.
- 42:02Speaker 3: He ripped it. It was a $ 350 card. He tore up.
- 42:05Speaker 3: I wouldn't have ever done it. I would have just
- 42:06Speaker 3: kept it.
- 42:07Speaker 2: Then Matt laughed at me. He called me an idiot.
- 42:08Speaker 2: Then he put a gif of him laughing at my pain.
- 42:12Speaker 2: On the video we posted. It's true.
- 42:15Speaker 3: It's true. I did. I can laugh because I've gotten
- 42:20Speaker 3: lots of bad beats in the card game.
- 42:21Speaker 2: It's okay. Want to compare? Yeah. I promise I have
- 42:25Speaker 2: you beat.
- 42:26Speaker 3: I don't think so.
- 42:29Speaker 2: Hashtag ask the bench. Revelry said.
- 42:33Speaker 4: Wait, didn't you sell a Bryce Young card that you
- 42:35Speaker 4: thought you didn't sell?
- 42:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:37Speaker 2: Well, yeah.
- 42:37Speaker 3: I would say it's still okay. I still made a
- 42:40Speaker 3: profit on it.
- 42:42Speaker 4: Now Jake, on the other hand.
- 42:43Speaker 2: I guess the old student paper said that we're all disappointed, depressed,
- 42:53Speaker 2: and impatient over year one of Coach Kiffin. Is that true?
- 42:57Speaker 4: I am. Why don't we have a natty yet?
- 42:58Speaker 3: No, we haven't won a national championship yet?
- 43:00Speaker 5: That's ridiculous.
- 43:01Speaker 2: Calling games has been much more fun this year.
- 43:04Speaker 5: I would have thought week six we'd at least had
- 43:06Speaker 5: some sort of trophy.
- 43:07Speaker 4: I mean, even losing is better.
- 43:09Speaker 2: I mean, you know, having a good offense for an
- 43:12Speaker 2: offensive player, so much easier to call a game. Then, oh,
- 43:16Speaker 2: there goes another inside zone for one yard. You got
- 43:20Speaker 2: a top-rated offense. You got a top-rated defense.
- 43:24Speaker 3: You just lost two games on the road in a
- 43:26Speaker 3: tough environment by less than a combined of nine points.
- 43:30Speaker 4: With a chunk of starters out.
- 43:32Speaker 3: With a lot of starters out. So, no, it is
- 43:34Speaker 3: not disappointing at all. Yeah, we're all going to be
- 43:36Speaker 3: disappointed if you end up not making the playoffs. But, look,
- 43:38Speaker 3: it's– Year one, it's been a lot more exciting.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Hashtag ask the bench. Have you heard the phrase no button?
- 43:47Speaker 2: I was at Disney this weekend and was walking to
- 43:50Speaker 2: fill the available space in line, and a woman started
- 43:53Speaker 2: yelling that at me for cutting in line.
- 43:55Speaker 5: You're filling the available space. You're not cutting in line,
- 43:57Speaker 5: so you can go pounce in.
- 43:59Speaker 4: You should have told her, get out my butt.
- 44:00Speaker 3: Get out my butt.
- 44:01Speaker 2: You don't have to have buttons with ponchos. They got
- 44:03Speaker 2: pearl snaps. Hey, now.
- 44:05Speaker 3: See what I did?
- 44:06Speaker 2: Well done, sir.
- 44:07Speaker 5: That would have been a great comeback.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Mm-hmm. Pearl snaps, lady. Ask the bitch, did you prefer
- 44:14Speaker 2: early or late games as a player?
- 44:16Speaker 3: Late.
- 44:17Speaker 2: Late in college, early in the NFL.
- 44:19Speaker 3: Late always. Always late. Wait, so let's go back to
- 44:26Speaker 3: the button story.
- 44:27Speaker 2: Okay. So did we confirm you did cut in line?
- 44:31Speaker 5: He said he was removing the fill in the gap.
- 44:33Speaker 4: Yeah, but it feels like he added that to, like,
- 44:35Speaker 4: I think he was cutting in line.
- 44:37Speaker 2: Yeah, you cut. You cut. Don't cut.
- 44:38Speaker 4: I was just trying to fill the space.
- 44:40Speaker 2: No, you weren't. I say something if somebody cuts.
- 44:43Speaker 4: Oh, me too.
- 44:43Speaker 2: Loudly. You say no button? Oh, I'll be like, hey,
- 44:45Speaker 2: that's not how this works. See, there's a line and
- 44:47Speaker 2: you're in the back of it. Katie looks at me like,
- 44:49Speaker 2: you can't help yourself. No button.
- 44:51Speaker 4: No button.
- 44:52Speaker 2: No button. What does that even mean? Hashtag ask the bench.
- 44:55Speaker 2: Is the top off the Bronco? No, but it needs
- 44:59Speaker 2: to be today. Very easy. I can just pop two
- 45:01Speaker 2: buttons is all. So I think I'm going to do
- 45:03Speaker 2: that on the way home. Hell of an idea.
- 45:05Speaker 3: This is great weather. I got some friends that.
- 45:07Speaker 2: That was a bitter yes.
- 45:09Speaker 3: I got some friends that call this.
- 45:10Speaker 4: I just wanted that Bronco so bad.
- 45:11Speaker 3: They call this weather porn right here. I don't know why,
- 45:14Speaker 3: but I just heard it a couple years ago, and it's...
- 45:17Speaker 3: Is that Mr.
- 45:17Speaker 2: Coach Jesse?
- 45:18Speaker 3: It does sound like something Mr.
- 45:20Speaker 2: Coach Jesse would say.
- 45:21Speaker 3: Yeah, boy, there's weather porn out here.
- 45:23Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 45:23Speaker 5: Or Stallone weather.
- 45:24Speaker 3: Either one.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Okay, I see what you did there. That's a deep
- 45:27Speaker 2: cut OTB right there.
- 45:28Speaker 3: It was from yesterday.
- 45:30Speaker 2: It was a deep cut, though. Hell yeah. We love you.
- 45:32Speaker 2: We thank you. Go USA.
- 45:35Speaker 4: Off the bench.
- 45:37Speaker 2: Speaking of Broncos that I can take the old top off,
- 45:40Speaker 2: you can get one too at Bayou Automotive. BayouAutomotive.com for Chrysler, Dodge, Jeep,
- 45:45Speaker 2: and Ram. They got a little bit of everything down
