- 2:01Will you well, good evening and thank you for joining me for another episode
- 2:43of Let's Talk About It on tonight. We're actually want to travel to the
- 2:49great state of Texas. I don't know if it's that great, but that's
- 2:53where we're born today to talk to the Derek who's currently incarcerated in Texas over
- 3:05sentenced. So let's before I bring him in, I would just like to
- 3:12make do a couple of housekeeping. When I speak to men or women,
- 3:23I'm using my voice and I'm giving them a platform to get their cases out
- 3:29there, so everyone can know it's not a black thing, is not a
- 3:34white thing, it's not a brown thing. Because we know that all ethnic
- 3:39groups have someone that is currently wrongfully convicted, are over sentenced in prison.
- 3:47But we have to face the facts. The majority of over sentenced and wrongfully
- 3:53convicted are the men of color, are African Americans and men. Satistics shows
- 4:02it, so it's not a race thing. I do talk to other ethnic
- 4:12groups when they allowed me to talk to to speak to them, but mainly
- 4:17I've been talking to the men from men African American men. So right now,
- 4:30offense to Brian and La Derek, he's going to introduce hisself and we're
- 4:33want to talk. Welcome to Derek. Uhhait directed the Kendrick h Kendrick.
- 4:46I'm so sorry. I do I do apologize, go ahead, uh uh
- 4:57And the George thing uh in my life it's important. But the thing,
- 5:04you know, Foka point it, I just don't want to sound in much
- 5:08detail upon my heat. I really don't want to share the ingested that in
- 5:12general America. You know, you said it's not a racist thing, but
- 5:16also you know America is built on a racial barriers. But we have to
- 5:21look at that. You know that everybody is equal, you know, parts
- 5:26white, black, brown as you know, without agency. You know what
- 5:29I'm saying, So you know exactly and that's what you know, we get
- 5:35a lot of people saying that, you know, it's a race thing that
- 5:44you know, we always bring up. It's mainly black men. That's what
- 5:50the sin. The statistics is showing that the black men and women are the
- 5:57ones that are wrong. We condicted and and over sentence. You know,
- 6:06it's not us saying it. All you have to do is do your research,
- 6:12google it. The Innocent Project is putting it out there, so you
- 6:17know, let's not make this about a race thing. We know, we
- 6:21understand that there's a lot of race people from other ethnic groups that are currently
- 6:28in the same situation. So okay, the Kendrick I got it right.
- 6:36Let's go ahead, let's go ahead and talk. Well, like you said,
- 6:43you know, uh, depends on everybody in general America and justice apart
- 6:47America. Things. It's been a property. You know. You have all
- 6:50these people that you just see the organizations and people try to make, you
- 6:57know, things that aren't making to try to come back. The interest is
- 7:00going around the system, and it's so bad that you've got the president like
- 7:04Trump, you know what I'm saying. He was, uh, get accounts,
- 7:09you know what I'm saying. But now it happened to the bluing.
- 7:14You know, the people up there had money, the people that you know,
- 7:17the class and the law plays. You know, we had work.
- 7:20Now we happen to them if they now be exposed. So if you're exposed
- 7:26it now on that on that level, then you have him coming and say
- 7:30he said, oh, well judge from this and beIN with this atroxicuity,
- 7:32you know what I'm saying. So with their said that it's just that was
- 7:36done. Now he's exposed. Let me know that the things are going on
- 7:41right now, that's going on in America, So now the time, you
- 7:44know what I'm saying. So nothing that I want get red become a problems,
- 7:49you know what I'm saying. But like I said, a lot of
- 7:51things too. When the President speak on reform, homs and judgment America,
- 7:57I mean they forget that mistake they let up in here at the same town
- 8:01of little situations, got got a triggered down the ladder. So anything America
- 8:07across intended president for resormes like that they played for a federal So really the
- 8:13fact with the federal involutions, and I think it is men and women on
- 8:20the state level we need we need that. What we need somebody at the
- 8:22back of it here, you know what I'm saying. And when you come
- 8:26to these issues, and it was called over standings, and we need the
- 8:30other standards. And you're a free example. And I'm not gonna, like
- 8:35I said, we're not gonna prosta right and the thing. But if if
- 8:37people look Coup, it was a guy that Heathen kelps that he down there
- 8:41and in Texas and before where there can't count are you and he was part
- 8:46of a flooring family where he had where he was trying to drinking and driving
- 8:52you know, uh, you know, feeling what you want to do because
- 8:54this camera had money. So we end up there like some people, you
- 8:56know, like several others where it standing end up paying out from people that
- 9:01live and people that die, you know, they you know, it was
- 9:05pushed untape, end up getting put based, you know what I'm saying.
- 9:07Where with that it was the daughter of a GM do for this company where
- 9:15she wrote a book, you know what I'm saying. She was she was
- 9:18making to think that if you had money, you know right and wrong.
- 9:24H So in my mind, I'm like, okay, well, well what
- 9:26if you want you don't know everything? You know, you know, so
- 9:31what if we don't know the difference works wrong. But at the same time
- 9:35and then at the same time, she had presented it's stun sing that her
- 9:41foot in testimony and an expert testimon for a couple of windows that like the
- 9:46direct the testimony to come through that were acting in fight. Okay, now
- 9:52let's go on the flip side, because these times people are coming out of
- 9:54over that time too much. But if you go on the side where my
- 9:58case, uh uh I was I was appointed a psychiatrist, you know,
- 10:03and interview reached and he did the sweet ye road saying practice and now several
- 10:09more tests and yeah, you might be halfing the hos his orders, you
- 10:15know, and out saying that up on the top, which would killed and
- 10:18negate the fact that intentionally non and doing anything you know to insicate that fact.
- 10:24Okay, Well if they allowed his testimony, in course he showed them
- 10:28that it wasn't here to say why they didn't allow his testimony that they tried
- 10:33to say, well, I'll be blacked out. I didn't have any testimony
- 10:37to give anybody to give that body. So there by the black lot that
- 10:43told so he wasn't gonna get up on staying tell him what I could tell
- 10:48them saying out the case in general. He's just gonna give them the just
- 10:54the things that were going on of his evaluation, and that the Jersey desire
- 10:58whether you know, did I that out or suffer from this disorder? Well,
- 11:01because you know what black man just becase generally they you know, have
- 11:07and what is put on back then when I was locked up, you know,
- 11:09I was locked up in nineteen so this was a big issues that you
- 11:13know about that. So you know so that you know just one thing I'm
- 11:18saying, I'm saying, but you know, so you know, do they
- 11:24allow do they allow the men that are the Did they ask you did you
- 11:35want to take a stand in your in your defense? Or how how did
- 11:41that times? The time here said that once you don't say you're gonna need
- 11:48yourself, you know, thinks gonna gona life. And the man you just
- 11:54sing, I'm doing a chance you staying. I have learned in fiunt of
- 12:00that grew and developed of an understanding of life. I could get up to
- 12:05understand being and picking my pict foot. I was told not to just like
- 12:11a fact. Uh, let'sten, let's just say this. The dytment I
- 12:15had had a meaning to the dyking you know. Yeah, I asked my
- 12:18mother. I said, uh, it's just gonna help you hurt. He
- 12:20said, hey, man, it's still lift me. I go read him
- 12:24when I'm in the indicting. So when he did that kind of lead on
- 12:28from years. As I come down in prison, I had the judgement and
- 12:31kind of pop my foot and say, you know what, man, you
- 12:33gonna sit right boy in my side trying to figure out what's do. So
- 12:37what I had to deal was, I said, I'm learning and stuff to
- 12:41what I found out that what they got many they got minute or pick them
- 12:46k Well there's too many. Think that's something serious, you know what I'm
- 12:48saying. So you know he would object to that. That tip would been
- 12:54throwed out in general. But the Dank years, I had two in dykings
- 12:56at first for you know. So they come back then endiculously and they find
- 13:03that rap indict take the captain murder to Canter murder to the character point and
- 13:13uh character five a man of life. So they was gonna use that in
- 13:18course to you know, take the so you you know, you're you're not
- 13:26the only one that I heard that from. You know that they do offer
- 13:33them the to get up to testify on their behalf, you know, to
- 13:39to speak on their behalf. But then they the their defense attorney would tell
- 13:48them, well, no, maybe just sit this out then we go auhead
- 13:54with the jury. Then go with you know, let the jury decide.
- 13:58Just you know, cut your part out. I have talked in my cup
- 14:01in my husband case, you know, he didn't testify on his behalf because
- 14:05that's what the that's what he was advised against not to get you know,
- 14:11just let the jury. Let it play out with the jury. And another
- 14:16person I heard that from, so you know, to me, it's just
- 14:20it's like they pick and choose to To me, this is my opinion that
- 14:28they pick and choose who are they know who to tell them to sit back
- 14:35now, don't get up on the stand because they need that, they need
- 14:39that conviction. And then they see that you guys don't have a jury of
- 14:46your peers. I also talk to men, especially African American men, they
- 14:52do not have a jury of their peers. What about your jury? How
- 15:00was your jury? Well, when we had pictures, you know, uh,
- 15:05a lot of a lot of these people that were going that as I
- 15:09can remember that a lot of them was like, hey man, I can't
- 15:13judge anybody. I can't do this. And uh then was the one that
- 15:18they wanted, you know, and they asked question like what somebody didn't family
- 15:22remember it's to be like okay, and then paint the picture made them,
- 15:28you know, the top of their heads, so they white, you know
- 15:33what I'm saying. And I only had one black and my children, so
- 15:37I mean that way you know, but a lot of people have to understand.
- 15:43We don't comput the times in the in the world, you know,
- 15:46in America, and we have something how oldrust hand attorney out here about you
- 15:56have so much next for attorney because I said, I have enough statement apartment
- 16:00of turn, and I told his own record where they have for me for
- 16:04that hour to the points of that attornment. Well, I was dyking and
- 16:08I didn't stood a ton of messages. I had no turn, you know
- 16:15anything about the dyke I was sitting. I was left for the inside the
- 16:18town where there was snow and turning. And then I reconducted on the bi
- 16:22paragraphic count that I said, and I still had no turn. And it
- 16:26shows what we have a doctor sheet. It shows that everything that should caught
- 16:30on my doctor seat, it does not showed some originally, it just showed
- 16:33the recognie and it shows that my attainment was point like three or four days
- 16:37later, you know. So when I tell you to scratch your pactice came
- 16:42it comes to the part where and the day went fifect council on itself,
- 16:48and that didn't come to interest in this. He was ht frown with my
- 16:52trial atturn it's my director building and he was my So let's do the math.
- 17:00I don't act to the conflicting. So somebody's grabbed somebody the fact that
- 17:03because keep sure not gonna I have and I have a bunch of stuff,
- 17:07but I just I don't have time to bring everything. Because that's right,
- 17:11keep in mind the thounning. But I mean, we got to look at
- 17:15it like that. He is not gonna time ineffect the system capital that's just
- 17:22like telling tell the judge that I was wrong, but they you know,
- 17:26they're gonna be playing. Man. It's not you know, saying enough.
- 17:30You know you're not enough, you know. So I mean that's moved working
- 17:34against it. And if uh, it's just the system broke, you know.
- 17:37So, I mean it could consist of the deep people that have,
- 17:42you know, the hearts of minds that really want to help people, you
- 17:45know what I'm saying, And it's really a crimbles out there, you know.
- 17:49So I learned I don't over time, but you gotta get a staying
- 17:52over here. Some people change, you know, right, you guys,
- 17:56you gotta look at it that right, And then the laws also change changed
- 18:03too, and some of the laws is not being are not retroactive for the
- 18:10ones that already been sentenced are convicted of certain sudden crimes, which I don't
- 18:18think is fair. I believe that if you're gonna do rewrite legislators, laws
- 18:27and stuff, that it should go for everyone should be included everyone. It
- 18:34should be for everyone, not just certain people. Right. I have a
- 18:41question, uh for you, was your lawyer a former d a private lawyer
- 18:48or associated with the judge campaign fund? I'm pretty sure it's uh your they
- 19:00want to turning to get take office stuff. I mean, most people,
- 19:04if they pay great amounts I'm sign them, they're more inclined to you know,
- 19:11to represent them. But then when they have to do stuff off the
- 19:14books or the state, you know, and get playing us of the mount.
- 19:18I mean that through the maths main gone. He ain't gonna put too
- 19:22much effort. And like I said, uh, come, come flavor to
- 19:26each other. You got to you know, it's it's it's just a system
- 19:32where it's just about if if just high falls. You know what I'm saying,
- 19:36because you was left the same. Like in my case, I got
- 19:40his life. And of course there was two people that was an engine never
- 19:44shot, but no one that, you know. And I'm looking at cases
- 19:47where these days on the news we got the yester they carried around them automatic
- 19:52white folks and stuff like that, and they just flyed out out there.
- 19:56Man, they just slap on the wrists. I haven't seen what to do
- 20:00to do down inside of school. How it shot people, you know,
- 20:03and that now that people that you've got ten years so patient, you know,
- 20:11but they got they sentenced you, uh, they sentenced you to life.
- 20:18Right, That's why that's already when I said my finds disproportion because thinking
- 20:22of the right for people when you say up the legislature, according to my
- 20:26charge of statue and atone and in the senition we top later on, I
- 20:32can expired. But according to the legislator of how my statue was reading murderers.
- 20:40So how how how did that add up to be then mass ten compared
- 20:45to atendant or or h group of uh you know the sayings that nat of
- 20:52keeping doing mad things, of killing people, you know by now that stuff
- 20:57that you know, I'm saying, what what different? So the indictiveness of
- 21:03the propecution, right, So I mean, it's it's it's it's it's to
- 21:08explore, you know, right, you help the state get his conviction.
- 21:18You got a question his association, Well, I have a question for you.
- 21:22Can you repeat the question for me? So with that, do he
- 21:29feel that his attorney helped to state secure his conviction? They stop on his
- 21:33association with the just donation campaign, with the Just the Attorney's campaign. Do
- 21:38he feel that he was sold out by his attorney? Did you hear that
- 21:45I just heard by the campaign? Quite? If you do you okay,
- 21:56I'm gonna just paraphrase. Do you feel that you were sold out by your
- 22:00by your lawyer? Yes? Man, I'm told you because it's it's like
- 22:06I said, with this nown on my case to sever and several like it
- 22:10shows you what you should have objected, you know and see me and just
- 22:15like the type and uh maybe have a dyke you should have been there,
- 22:18you know and web prostitutors prosecutors deal would perfect you. When you will charge
- 22:25the statue, you have to have everything that completely okay in my case,
- 22:32to to even have a capital burger, even have something to have the top
- 22:36of the term onuse. It's just the term capital. You know. You
- 22:40gotta have a thing be one and that's a burger. You know something they
- 22:44have Chace wa say hey, say hey, you mean you gotta come up
- 22:48so cobar gotta so do you got to have a crew of more people even
- 22:52get your burger or it's in criminal transaction. Okay, well they got part
- 22:59which is to say a passion where this uh more than one person doing the
- 23:03same thing transaction they you know, and you have uh uh uh person uh
- 23:12the same ob in case what such he even said, he was like it
- 23:18was it was five people that will shot or die. They used the same
- 23:21body to put these people that live to make attempt of capital murder. So
- 23:26people saying anything there you can't use that same body. But at the same
- 23:32time, if that was actually me in his charge and that was not actually
- 23:34means allow you to adjective for the sense of this right here, okay,
- 23:40in the same sense it case you produced the same to bodies that didn't die
- 23:42in charge of a timp the cantil murder to that users that dead body just
- 23:47do what I'm saying. But he's people in the dead body to get the
- 23:49tempted to the murder to their shoulders like that. But they ain't got there.
- 23:56You can't say there's no such thing attempted cantil murder, you know,
- 23:57and he play but he used that. They used the chimp said you want
- 24:03him, So of course said hey man, let's say so there's nowhere in
- 24:08our in our sisters. He said, we cannot in attempt to any day.
- 24:12So that's how they got he was in the right Christian. He allowed
- 24:18him. He didn't have to get him. You know what I'm saying.
- 24:22So they him, would you be here? Vast quote? And I'm saying,
- 24:32can we have another question? Go ahead? Oh? So did his
- 24:40lawyer not raise a bathroom versus Kentucky here and in the capital case where here
- 24:45it is he's allowed this guy to be convicted by a jury with one from
- 24:48African American on it. Why did his lawyer raise the Batsom versus in Kentucky
- 24:52plane to show that the disc attorney's offer and his lawyer was then by us
- 24:56in rational by allowing him to be executed. It a jury not a good
- 25:02period one African American, not a jury a part section of the community.
- 25:07So why his lawyer didn't follow a face of PERSENTACTI? And why come he
- 25:11didn't object to that? Well that, I mean, I heard everything you
- 25:17said that goes back there. When when I said, that's that straight sure,
- 25:22you know what I'm saying, it was all a blood you didn't understanding,
- 25:26like he's no power interfect his cause. So he was set up where
- 25:32I, except for another lawyer was appointed for my family had the means to
- 25:36get another lawyer. And he gets then he would be he can do his
- 25:41tack if he get in there after rictinell feel in my PDR term. So
- 25:48all of all and then what they what they typed up y'all don't know.
- 25:52We know, we're not language of the road. We don't know anything.
- 25:56So we come down here and get lost in the shift. And once we
- 25:59figured out how, it's too late, and then we got itself to hoops
- 26:03and whose justice and trying to fire the keys that's in the Aery books,
- 26:07you know what I'm saying, to try to find a fret keyhole open the
- 26:10door. You know, they put a lot of pressure on us, ask
- 26:15me and and women in the justicistans to be to do adopted it in guy's
- 26:19for years, should agree on and we're supposed to know every little piece of
- 26:25loss and he you know, he a caliber instead of that they supposed to
- 26:30you don't want to repea so of course I feel that that wom so and
- 26:37challenging your conviction. And challenging your conviction, why come you never raise an
- 26:42effective asistance of counsel a prosecuted and conduct abuse of the expression of the child
- 26:48courts? Because in your county, y'all have the manual where African Americans are
- 26:52not allowed to sit on jurys of the African American So you should have raised
- 26:56that as a conflict of penterest. Are you familiar with Dallas being the number
- 27:00one town in the state of Texas and African American jury's are not allowed to
- 27:04sit on the jury? All familiar? And I did my little one sets
- 27:11back in two thousand and seven, and I was still linking to the laws
- 27:14and heal back then, I feel any and the things I fired, I
- 27:18fired twenty something things, man, And the more I learned the loss I
- 27:22look back on what I filed and I seen you that, Hey, man,
- 27:23I'm doing the right track, but I had the wrong word. Do
- 27:26you understand what I'm saying? Not? There's no things I honestly go out
- 27:30of school with you know what I'm saying. So I had my sight at
- 27:36the TG costs right now in tess can b and I have everything I need
- 27:38to see, but I don't have the right representation. Was CROs name did
- 27:44you did with prose? You know? Because I put a lot of things
- 27:47in court and I have a lot to court, right, they still have
- 27:49to be back home, you know. So I'm trying to figure why because
- 27:56they know that they have a point, right and you know what you're You're
- 28:02not the only one that I'm hearing this room again. I talked to the
- 28:07men in Denver, and the same thing that's going on in Texas is going
- 28:14on in Denver. You know, they've been over sentence, they've been sacked
- 28:18America, they've been stacked with you with with enhancements and crimes that like mister
- 28:29Kemp in his case, he's serving one hundred and I believe one hundred and
- 28:34ninety some years, but he got he's eligible for parole in his case.
- 28:41Come to find out, one more in depths. In his case he was
- 28:47actually was supposed to serve only six years and he's been being incarcerated over twenty
- 28:53some years. Okay, well you know and talk like that, so you
- 29:03know, but it was doing I appreciate the opportunity to tell and I look
- 29:07forward to Yes, you will. You would definitely be back with me on
- 29:15the third Monday of this month so we can finish this conversation. You know,
- 29:22I thank you for allowing me to talk to you and you come on
- 29:26my platform and letting me be a voice on your behalf. I really appreciate
- 29:34you. And we're gonna we're gonna keep swinging. We're gonna keep swinging and
- 29:41eventually it's gonna connect. It is I want to connect. Thank you,
- 29:48pleasure, Thank god you are We just heard from the Kendrick and I.
- 29:56It's my is my co host and Yill still there? Yes, Sam,
- 30:06how are you? How are you? I'm doing great. You don't get
- 30:12you didn't give my text message? Did you get a text message from me?
- 30:22Hello? I got one. Uh. They sending them. They sending
- 30:30them slow. And when I get on my open and read them, I
- 30:33just seen one pop up. Okay, man, it's a pretty good text
- 30:40message from here. Okay, go ahead, okay, yes, ma'am,
- 30:52Yes, ma'am man, it's a pretty good text message for me and the
- 30:53first lady congratulating you and thanking you on what you're doing your journey man.
- 30:57Okay, thank you, thank you so much. I really appreciate you on
- 31:06the first lady. I really appreciate you on the first lady, I really
- 31:12do. And I thank you guys well. I really enjoyed our conversation on
- 31:22this evening with King. Yes. Yes, and just to hear that this
- 31:32is happening all over all over over centiousness, something that you know they should
- 31:38be doing, like two or three years on. They actually add more enhancements.
- 31:45They saying they can testify on their behalf, then they advise against it,
- 31:52then they don't have a jury of their peers. And then they come
- 31:56with laws showing a state that this, hey, this is with the law
- 32:00state, and they still get denied in the court because they pro say so,
- 32:07you tell me, when a family pay for resent representation on their behalf,
- 32:16they're gonna go to the courts with the same law that they have written
- 32:23to the courts pro sae. And nine times out of ten, by them
- 32:29paying at least twenty thousand dollars, they gonna get set free. It's all
- 32:38about a money thing. Once again, I cannot push this enough. We
- 32:49are in voting season. This is election season. Get to know your state
- 32:58representative and where they staying with these laws. Get to know these senators.
- 33:06Just don't go up to that pole and put anybody in there, because look,
- 33:12look what's happening. Now, look what's happening. We have to be
- 33:19a voice for our grandchildren and our great grandchildren's, the ones that's coming be
- 33:25coming after us. We have to be their voicething. Go ahead, first,
- 33:36lady, you hear me? Can I say so? I want to
- 33:39say something, because yes I can. It's not that yet. It's not
- 33:45that people are going up and just voting any kind of way is that they're
- 33:52not voting at all. Because when you can have counting that are turning out
- 33:58single digits, single digit means that under ten people are showing up to vote.
- 34:07And that is sad, and that is happening all over the United States.
- 34:10Why because of how they how they how they how they section off these
- 34:17districts. They section off these districts, and then these people sit in they
- 34:22divoting you. You you got all these projects in one's own one district,
- 34:29full of projects full of people that they know ain't for the vote. So
- 34:31then of course you may have nine elderly people in that area, and they
- 34:37may go for the pole. They have people that work the poles, that
- 34:40sit in these poles and say they're showing up. They can count on on
- 34:46on on one hand, how many people of of of our race show up.
- 34:54Patrice right here, she worked at the polling place in South Carolina,
- 35:00in Charleston, South Carolina, and she say they are not voting period.
- 35:07She say the precincts. I work in an eight hours state. Only forty
- 35:14two people came in and voted. And that's what's happenings happening all over the
- 35:20It's it's it's we we We heard this in Texas, the very state that
- 35:25we're talking about now. We heard nine people in a in a county that
- 35:31has hundreds of thousands of people. How how is these people not turning out
- 35:37the vote? I don't understand. How have we because you know to where
- 35:45we I believe that I heard it before that they believe that they votes don't
- 35:52count. That's that's how the reason why I think they're not turning How can
- 36:00we get that complacent? When we voted, when we showed up to the
- 36:05polls, when we voted, we saw action. But of course if you
- 36:09sit and you do nothing. How can you expect for something to happen when
- 36:14nothing is when you're doing nothing. You can't expect something to happen when you're
- 36:19doing absolutely nothing. And then you can't keep doing the same thing and then
- 36:23feel like it's gonna be the same thing. So this is Patrisa said.
- 36:30And the five or ten were black African Americans and only one younger than me.
- 36:37She said, all seats are up for grabs, Like that's crazy,
- 36:43Like these people don't even vote. Yeah, okay, it has been announced.
- 36:52We're five to one on African American when criminal justice system, probation and
- 36:55paroles. Okay, here we have about a good fifteen twenty percent of African
- 37:01Americans sitting in the Texas capitals. Okay, as state representatives and Texas senators.
- 37:07Okay. Every year for the past two decades, we have witnessed that
- 37:13Texas is not passing any laws to help trider to reform the Texas criminal justice
- 37:17system. Our system is out of control. Why because they refuse fast laws
- 37:23that would help juveniles get past these rife, capital rife sentences to be able
- 37:28to get these sentences reformed to where they would they would make sense. Now
- 37:32the average juvenile is getting a forty year sentence where they have to do twenty
- 37:37years flat, time flat. When they used to be that if you get
- 37:40twenty years, you do two years in eighteen days. So our system and
- 37:45our state representatives are actually making the system worser than it is even after American
- 37:51state repids, making them system even more worse than it is than when we
- 37:55have people voting. So if we're voting for these people going in, they're
- 37:59doing the same thing, allowing these people to kick the avend road two years
- 38:04after two years after two years. So people are getting tired of voting for
- 38:07these people. You know what I'm saying, Knowing that people are allowing our
- 38:09system to stay broken. Looking out the roll boards system, look at TDC,
- 38:15what's the criminal justice system? Judges paying lawyers by signing them all these
- 38:19energy defense cases to represent African Americans, assistant das represent the African American and
- 38:24allowing that man to go to an all white jury trial. This is the
- 38:29tech. They call it, the judge donation campaign, the DA favoritism,
- 38:32the court point of attorney double billing, the grand jury racketeering, the racial
- 38:37jurymans conduct the evidence Diition's candle. All these operations is what got our system
- 38:43at massive crosspiration and especially African Americans. So people can vote, but the
- 38:49people that will be voting in other people, we need to vote out now.
- 38:52So that's where I'm at, because they just announced on TV that we
- 38:55fired a one on Africans Americans being in corporate in TDC Man. So it's
- 39:00the people that we need to vote out. And that's why I say they
- 39:07need to get to know. Let you know the representative who's represented. That's
- 39:14why you gotta be involved in your community. You gotta know what's going on.
- 39:17You got to turn out to these meetings. You got to go to
- 39:21your city council meeting. You gotta find out. Because see, let me
- 39:23tell you something. There's a guy and he's been on the show a couple
- 39:27of times, and y'all can go back and here y'all go back and hear
- 39:30him Troy read out of North Carolina, Elizabeth City, North Carolina area.
- 39:36They these people got tired, they got tired of what was going on in
- 39:39their city and they said enough was enough. They voted they mayor out.
- 39:44They got the new police of chief, everybody that they said needed to be
- 39:49out of there. They got them out of there, They got their whole
- 39:52city turned around, and these people got up off their butt and they said
- 39:55enough was enough. And that's what it's gonna take. People got to say
- 40:00enough is enough and it's time for change. Okay, these seats are open,
- 40:04then what's stopping people from going and getting in these seats? Qualified people?
- 40:08We won't, we won't step up and do something because what we are
- 40:13afraid. We got afraid of failing. No more. And I'm saying it
- 40:16because people need to get it in they head. You can be successful if
- 40:21you want it. If you want it, you got to be able to
- 40:24see it. You got to see it. Anything that you're believing and won't
- 40:29right now, you gotta be able to see that. You got to visualize
- 40:32it so it can come. But we won't do it. We won't do
- 40:37it. We don't want to. We don't we don't want to to take
- 40:42a chance and go out here and and and and better ourselves. Now,
- 40:45we got to think about the betterment of this whole country. This this this
- 40:52whole system. It's broke and it has to be fit. It's not just
- 40:55Texas, it's not just Colorado. Because you think about Alabama, you think
- 41:00about Mississippi, you think about a lot of these places. But then you
- 41:06just focused on who is affected. We know who is affected. And we
- 41:09ain't even got to say it's a racial thing, but we know. And
- 41:14and everybody that follows this and see this, they got to see it too.
- 41:19We're not blind. We see what's going on, been seeing what's going
- 41:22on. But now that we see what's going on, and and and and
- 41:27we have identified these things, then why ain't these people being held accountable?
- 41:32That's That's that's what I'm talking about. We don't we don't put name to
- 41:36all these different corruptions. He he just went Cornell just went through a whole
- 41:39list of corruption in the state of Texas. If they can be identified,
- 41:44then why can't these people be prosecuted? Why? Because we can uphold Trump.
- 41:49We can uphold this man that has been convicted of thirty four feelings.
- 41:53We can uphold this. We can we can allow him to walk in the
- 41:58biggest office. People rounding around and murder beach with all these flags on the
- 42:01back of their trucks and on the back of their cars with Trump on it,
- 42:06and make America great again. That's what you're doing around him. Because
- 42:10these people believe in that frog, They believe in that that man. What
- 42:16set that man apart from all of these people that are wrongfully and overly incarcerated?
- 42:23Why these people got to be given lifesas when this man should be thirty
- 42:29four famonies, he should be locked up in the and on a doubt going
- 42:39debate, debaate, and and and and man, this is the sick world
- 42:45that we living in. This is the city sick world that we're living in.
- 42:50Because these are the people. These are the people that are around us.
- 42:54And then you got you got people that look just like us. You
- 42:58have you you like people that look just like us that support this man too.
- 43:04Okay, okay, yes, ma'am. Well let me have to listen
- 43:07the other guys Joses to go. So thank y'all, and I appreciate y'all
