Riley County mourns the passing of legendary coach Harold Oliver, age 66, who died at home on July 18th after a 37-year coaching career—32 of them leading the Lady Falcons to 3 state titles, 18 league championships, and 14 sub-state crowns. A standout athlete himself, Oliver won a state basketball title in high school and played college football before retiring in 2021. Just months before his death, he was honored with induction into the Kansas Basketball Coaches Association Hall of Fame. He is survived by his wife Shawna and two daughters.
