- 0:00Speaker 1: Okay, right, just because I mean that's our focus here anyways.
- 0:03Speaker 1: But you look at your top twenty five right now,
- 0:05Speaker 1: and it's just a smattering of where guys came from.
- 0:08Speaker 1: But you you got Georgie, got Kirby right obviously the
- 0:11Speaker 1: elite DC to start with. But you got Shane Beemer,
- 0:15Speaker 1: special teams coordinator. He was never a play calledge or
- 0:18Speaker 1: he wasn't late. Pete Golding, now, Pete is, I would
- 0:22Speaker 1: put him right on the border of elite. Okay, elite, Yeah,
- 0:26Speaker 1: he he is. I don't have his grade right in
- 0:27Speaker 1: front of me, but he's done it at two places, okay,
- 0:30Speaker 1: and he's done it really, really well, so so he's
- 0:33Speaker 1: borderline there. I would say Pete Golding and Mike elcho
- 0:36Speaker 1: as DC's very very similar, got it, Brentville, that's a.
- 0:39Speaker 2: Good you kind of profile that that's a good comp
- 0:44Speaker 2: for fort.
- 0:48Speaker 1: Pete hasn't coach the head you know, hasn't been a
- 0:49Speaker 1: head coach yet for regular season, right, so we don't
- 0:51Speaker 1: have those comparables. But as a d C, both of
- 0:54Speaker 1: them were excellent over their careers of multiple places. You know,
- 0:58Speaker 1: we would well as a as a head coach, we
- 1:01Speaker 1: would both take a Mike Elko or a Pete Golding
- 1:03Speaker 1: as our DC anywhere, sure, right, you know Venables super
- 1:09Speaker 1: elite DC wo wow, right, hypel elite OC, Sarkesian elite OC,
- 1:16Speaker 1: you know. And but then some of the newer guys he's.
- 1:20Speaker 2: Not elite on either side. But he has done a
- 1:22Speaker 2: magnificent job at Troy and Tulane exactly right.
- 1:26Speaker 1: And then but you look at your newer hires. Gaulish
- 1:30Speaker 1: yet hasn't been elead at anything. No, two bad years
- 1:32Speaker 1: as a play caller and one good one last year. Right,
- 1:36Speaker 1: you know, Silverfield hasn't been elite at anything.
- 1:41Speaker 2: By the way, our listener silverfielders.
- 1:43Speaker 1: At Arkukansas now and I and I don't think where
- 1:48Speaker 1: where did drink? Wasn't an an elite play caller to start?
- 1:52Speaker 1: He had a great runner out of state. So you know,
- 1:55Speaker 1: these guys come from all sorts of walks of life,
- 1:59Speaker 1: and they're there's no pattern or necessarily rhyme or reason.
- 2:04Speaker 2: You just never know.
- 2:05Speaker 1: It's just sometimes you just get like you're said day right,
- 2:08Speaker 1: And that's one of the beauties of college football, though,
- 2:11Speaker 1: is the unknown, the hope that your guy is the
- 2:14Speaker 1: guy this year, and then he's not, and we start over,
- 2:18Speaker 1: and then we hope your guy is the guy next year.
- 2:20Speaker 2: It's kind of like NFL and quarterbacks. You have to
- 2:23Speaker 2: constantly if you don't get the head coach position right
- 2:25Speaker 2: in college football or the quarterback position in NFL, it's
- 2:29Speaker 2: a non starter.
- 2:30Speaker 1: It's over. It's over, right.
- 2:32Speaker 2: Yeah, So look at the Cleveland Browns the last twenty
- 2:35Speaker 2: five years. Yeah, Holy Mary ol zep
