- 0:00There is so much uncertainty in the air, especially as we are on the horizon
- 0:04for AI. We don't know what's going to happen. We don't know how we're going
- 0:08to step into this golden age that people talk about. And then some people says
- 0:12everybody's going to lose their job.
- 0:15The ultra wealthy are just going to get more wealthy. Businesses are going to
- 0:19thrive. Or if you're in the know, you're the one that's going to benefit from
- 0:23all of it. Or are you going to be left out? It's like there's so much uncertainty right now.
- 0:28If you're stepping into the workforce or you're stepping into college,
- 0:32you don't know what to do with your life,
- 0:34we're going to dive into this because I'm going to raise some questions and,
- 0:39my point of view regarding where we should go with this because this seems to
- 0:43be like what nobody's talking about,
- 0:46because you're either for capitalism, you're for the free market,
- 0:49you're for innovation, businesses run with it, or you're for communism, you're for socialism.
- 0:56And it's like almost these two extremes like you have to pick one or the other.
- 1:03I think we can maybe pick whatever's going to lead us into this next stage because
- 1:07ai seems like it's going to take over it's going to be like what every every
- 1:11like it's going to change everything it already is changing everything,
- 1:16but i want to dive into this ai is supposed to be create this golden age people
- 1:19are saying that everyone's going to get richer like i said and then some people
- 1:22says only some Some people are going to get richer or like the AI is just going
- 1:26to take over and leave people in the dust.
- 1:28Elon Musk, he talks about abundance and universal basic income or high income.
- 1:34Who actually owns AI? Who actually is going to own it?
- 1:39Or is it only going to be this very select few that these elect people or think
- 1:45of themselves as elect? They're the ones pulling the strings,
- 1:48controlling everything. Everything's just concentrated to them.
- 1:51Why just regular people just get left in the dust?
- 1:54That's the main question that nobody's asking. Also, is AI going to replace mental labor?
- 2:00Robotics replacing physical labor? Companies need fewer employees?
- 2:05Productivity explodes?
- 2:07I just think of it as there's no way to know what's exactly going to happen.
- 2:12I just see lately there's these communist people that are taking over New York
- 2:16and over different parts of our government.
- 2:19And I see it as I'm kind of a little bit happy. I wish it wasn't the Mom Donnie
- 2:26effect, like the Muslim side and bringing that in, because that could be kind
- 2:30of dangerous for our Christian nation and Christian values.
- 2:34But if we don't have any guardrails, structures put in place.
- 2:39Say we do that AI does explode and it just creates this massive wealth.
- 2:44Elon Musk talks about that. Everybody's going to get wealthy.
- 2:47Well, how is it actually going to filter down and go to the regular people,
- 2:52just to the regular Americans? I know this could apply universal to the world,
- 2:56but I mean, I'm pretty much focused on America right now.
- 2:59I think that's if we can like take care of the rest of the world,
- 3:03I mean, that would be the next step.
- 3:05But just in general, like how is everybody going to benefit and get wealthy
- 3:10from the explosion of AI?
- 3:13How is that actually going to happen? It's all pie in the sky.
- 3:15That's what it seems like to me with what Elon Musk talks about,
- 3:18because if it was just him, if it was him and he was the one that decided,
- 3:22I would actually kind of trust that Elon Musk,
- 3:24would make it for regular people to get wealthy, to have money,
- 3:28to have it actually come to us.
- 3:30But as we've seen throughout history...
- 3:33What happens normally is we always hear stories about like the cars that can
- 3:38just run off water or, you know, or Nikola Tesla, he was able to make it create
- 3:43energy, but then somehow like things get.
- 3:46We always hear those stories about like energy just comes in.
- 3:50It's just free, but then people shut it down. They don't allow it to actually,
- 3:55come to the regular masses of people because they want to be able to monetize
- 3:59it and they want to be able to control it.
- 4:01And if they can't make money off it, they don't want it just to be free for everyone.
- 4:05So I understand the capitalism side of it, that we need that for innovation
- 4:11and for incentive and for people to continue to grow and create things to make it better.
- 4:17And if you just give everybody everything, then nobody has incentive.
- 4:21But going into this, with the AI, it changes everything.
- 4:25It absolutely changes everything because if we don't take this idea of how are
- 4:31we going to distribute these things, these ideas, are these wealth.
- 4:37People having money, people having their own ability to buy things.
- 4:42If AI is going to wipe out people's jobs eventually, which we all hear about,
- 4:48and the ultra-rich are just going to get richer, how are regular people going
- 4:53to experience this wealth?
- 4:55It doesn't seem like we're thinking this through. That's how I see it.
- 4:59So I keep coming back to ownership concentrates and the winners keep winning,
- 5:03but then regular people are going to be left in the dust.
- 5:07The ai scales unlike anything before one company could replace thousands and
- 5:12wealth doesn't naturally spread,
- 5:14it follows ownership so who actually owns the ai does sam altman own the ai
- 5:21does elon musk i mean elon musk he legitimately that's his his thing he created
- 5:25grok he owns that you know that's his business,
- 5:29but then how is like how is it actually going to how uh.
- 5:33If you don't put anything in place for the government to somehow distribute
- 5:38the wealth that it generates, how is it actually going to happen?
- 5:41It just seems like just talking about it. Oh, everybody's going to have so much
- 5:45more. We're going into this abundance.
- 5:47Everybody's going to have everything they need and more. That just seems like not reality.
- 5:51If we really step back and think about it, because we're always on these two extremes.
- 5:55Everything's going to be just nuclear holocaust and everybody,
- 5:57the AI is going to just destroy us or everybody's going to lose their jobs and
- 6:01it's going to be terrible.
- 6:03Or it's going to be just super hyper abundance and everybody's going to have more than they need.
- 6:08You know, you're just going to be able to, what do you actually want to do?
- 6:11You don't need a job anymore. You're just going to have it rolling into you.
- 6:15I would prefer the latter, that everybody just has more than they need and we
- 6:20can just do what we actually want.
- 6:21We can just create things we're not just held to. Oh, I need to earn.
- 6:25I need to make money. Otherwise, I can't pay my bills, you know,
- 6:28and just this stress level.
- 6:30Like ai could relieve a lot of these things and but it does seem like the pie
- 6:35in the sky sky it would never actually happen that it gets funneled down to
- 6:39everybody regular people,
- 6:41because in this fallen world in this messed up world it does seem like it always
- 6:46will concentrate on the people who have the means and the abilities to control
- 6:50the powers to pull the levers.
- 6:53Elon musk he has more money than he could ever dream of and he does seem like
- 6:57a guy that he wants to spread the wealth He,
- 7:01at least rhetorically, he talks about it.
- 7:05He has that mindset. I would almost trust that he would want to share it because
- 7:09he understands money doesn't buy happiness.
- 7:12Money is not everything. It's like, it's just fuel. It's just building his business.
- 7:17And he would actually share the wealth if he could. But it's like,
- 7:19but you think people say, oh, well, we just need to take from him. We need to take from him.
- 7:25But then it's just going to go to a government that doesn't do crap with it
- 7:27and just messes it up and just blows it all.
- 7:30Doesn't know how to use it efficiently. Just blows it up and foreign wars or
- 7:35just somehow just gives it to random people or to the elites at the top.
- 7:39And it never actually gets to regular people.
- 7:41Your lives, our lives never get actually better.
- 7:45We always talk about affordable income. It's just like people making things,
- 7:49but all we do see is just things getting higher in price and the things that
- 7:53you want, it's just harder and it's farther out to actually have, to be able to attain it.
- 7:59So how do we realistically get from here to there? So my struggle is I don't want communism.
- 8:05I, and I've always been a person that I like capitalism. I like free market.
- 8:09I look at my socks and I think, well, somebody can make a better pair of socks
- 8:13and there's incentive who's going to make the best pair of socks to,
- 8:16put it on anything you could say the better computer the better tv better car anything like that
- 8:20there's got to be that incentive that struggle that competition so i get that
- 8:24so if everybody's handed everything it does remove that incentive you do become
- 8:28like communist china where you just rip off the united states and do it your
- 8:32own thing you just take it you steal and but
- 8:35but there is some some type of social net,
- 8:38that they have over there so there's elements that i don't i don't want to set
- 8:41it up necessarily as capitalism versus communism i think it needs to be something
- 8:45a little bit down the middle between those roads.
- 8:49And i'm gonna i'm just gonna say brandonism i'm just gonna call it brandonism
- 8:52just to put a label on it because this is my this is what i'm thinking we need
- 8:56to pull the ideas the thoughts from capitalism and the thoughts from.
- 9:01Communism just i mean i throw out those labels but this those ideas those distribution of wealth,
- 9:07Because if we just get, if we, if we're all just the free market,
- 9:11we're not, if we're all just the, whoever has the capital, you know,
- 9:15that, that competition, you know, it just, it will just leave people high and
- 9:18dry. They, they will not be able to get into it.
- 9:21It'll just be just talking points that it actually, people will not actually
- 9:25be able to benefit from AI.
- 9:29These will just be just things that, oh, it was just in theory,
- 9:33people could hypothetically could start, it could get some money from it.
- 9:37They could get some type of high income, but it is not actually going to take
- 9:41place. It's not going to filter down to regular people.
- 9:45The ultra wealthy are going to get more wealthy and it's going to become more
- 9:49and more slim, more concentrated.
- 9:50We got one guy on earth that he could lose a trillion dollars and still be the
- 9:54richest person in the world. And that's right now.
- 9:57That's right now. Think about it. I mean, going to AI that we get even further
- 10:02along this, like it's going to become narrower and narrower.
- 10:07And the people that are the billionaires, they're going to just go off,
- 10:10you know, like fly, you know, like a rocket ship.
- 10:13And the people that are at the bottom are just going to be cogs or they're not
- 10:18going to be able to do anything. They're just going to have nothing.
- 10:20And it's like, that's where we need that, like that, the government to step in to do something.
- 10:26Because I wouldn't normally to say like of this distribution of wealth and spreading
- 10:30it like this, but it's like, as we step into AI, it kind of makes sense.
- 10:33Like we need something there that can pull both sides, the free market,
- 10:38keep that innovation incentive that we're,
- 10:41that competition, but that, but we also have the overall umbrella and foundation
- 10:47that it's going to be equally distributed.
- 10:50It's going to be spread to everyone.
- 10:53And that people will be able to do what they want. They will be able to create.
- 10:57They will have that freedom to create, not just to be a hamster on a wheel trying
- 11:02to run and churn out some type of money or churn out something that they can survive.
- 11:08Because it is just a pie in the sky. I see it so clearly.
- 11:12It's not actually, Elon Musk can talk all day long that we're gonna have universal
- 11:17basic income and everybody's gonna be wealthy. It's gonna be so abundant more
- 11:22than ever before but that's actually not going to happen.
- 11:25That will not happen because we see over and over that people come up with things
- 11:29and then it just gets squelched.
- 11:31And like they create something that like, it's going to be, I don't know the
- 11:35car, the car that runs on water. You know, you're always hear those stories or things like that.
- 11:40But then these billionaires or these rich people that are pulling the strings
- 11:44at the top, they're not going to allow it. They're not going to,
- 11:46because when you get to the top, it's not about having wealth because they got
- 11:50the wealth. They got all that. They just want more than you.
- 11:53And they don't want you to be a part of their game this this is clearly what
- 11:58it is and i think everybody down deep down feels like this they understand that
- 12:02there there's some there are people at the top that they have these,
- 12:05they can silence you they can and they can take all your,
- 12:10opportunities they can give you the opportunities but they're the ones they're
- 12:14the ones pulling the strings and controlling all this so how does the wealth
- 12:17actually reach ordinary people.
- 12:21So we need these things. So I don't want communism. I don't want government
- 12:24controlling innovation.
- 12:27I believe competition creates progress. But how does this wealth actually reach the ordinary people?
- 12:33So we need incentives. Without incentives, less innovation, less entrepreneurship,
- 12:38less risk-taking, less competition.
- 12:40Too much redistribution can kill the engine that creates.
- 12:45So we need that. We still need that capitalism aspect, that free market.
- 12:49Let it fly. you know that's what america has right we got the freedom of speech
- 12:53and we got the freedom to create and go out there and just make it happen like
- 12:58if you're at the bottom rung of society you can become a billionaire in your
- 13:02lifetime it's like you can,
- 13:04go from you know the the the lowest of society to the highest you know just
- 13:09materially or whatever you know,
- 13:11but without distribution wealth keeps concentrating it's going to get more slimmer
- 13:16and slimmer to the select few they were ahead of the game.
- 13:19You know, that's this tidal wave that's coming that everybody's going to just be swept under.
- 13:24The people that are on top, they're ready to game the system.
- 13:28They know what's coming.
- 13:29They're going to be able to thrive in it. But I'm just talking about the regular
- 13:32people. It's not going to funnel down to everybody.
- 13:35Unless you are in that very small niche of society, you're not going to benefit
- 13:39from this. It will not happen at all.
- 13:41We can talk about that everybody's going to have everything they need.
- 13:44But unless we do something where we pull from both sides, like the free market,
- 13:48as well as the social distribution.
- 13:50Like, but I just see it like the Democrat side, what they're doing.
- 13:55If they, if it feels like they're like, they just want to steal,
- 13:59they want to take from the rich. I'm not, I'm not talking about that.
- 14:02I'm not just saying just take from people that have and just give it to people
- 14:05that don't, but set up things in place that everything gets equally distributed.
- 14:10Because we can do this with AI on the horizon, AI just coming on the scene that
- 14:15it's going to take over. if we don't have these mechanisms in place,
- 14:19it's only going to concentrate to the select few, the super rich.
- 14:23So maybe both ideas existing, free market, competition, entrepreneurship,
- 14:27innovation, and then add some mechanisms. So AI prosperity reaches everyone,
- 14:33not equal outcomes, but broad participation. So everybody's a part of this game.
- 14:37Everybody's involved. As Americans, we link arms. We are together. We are a communal state.
- 14:44We work together. We take out the stress, the anxiety of just people.
- 14:48I need to survive with a job and then it just becomes your own by the corporation or whatever.
- 14:53And you're controlled by the corporation who's running and pulling the strings.
- 14:57But regular people are given the leg up. Everybody is equally given, you know, mass wealth.
- 15:04Because if we don't put things in place, it's not going to filter down.
- 15:07It's not going to spread to everyone.
- 15:09So then we, just like in history, we've seen these types of things.
- 15:13We've seen the industrial revolution.
- 15:15This is going to be the industrial revolution on steroids, bigger than steroids,
- 15:20with the AI, what's happening, electricity, internet, smartphones,
- 15:23everything changes over time.
- 15:25And this is going to be bigger than all those things combined.
- 15:30If we don't put things in place, stopgaps, a whole system in place. And it's not just talk.
- 15:37I don't know what, I'm just going to, the government, I'm just going to close
- 15:39my eyes and see what happens.
- 15:41If you really take a step back and think about it, we can see what's going to happen.
- 15:47It's either going to go concentrated to the super wealthy and they're going
- 15:50to get richer and richer and richer. And the people down below are going to like have nothing.
- 15:55And then there's going to be rising up and then people are going to be pissed
- 15:58off and, and fighting back. And then, you know, and then the ultra wealthy are
- 16:02just going to have to use their drones or robots and just control the people.
- 16:06But it's like, if we don't get ahead of that, that nuclear Holocaust Armageddon
- 16:11type of style thing in civil war, we don't get in place of that and think, think about how could we,
- 16:18harness this so that it equally gets spread to all Americans,
- 16:23to that all Americans can thrive together and we're not at each other's necks.
- 16:28We are happy that somebody else is getting all that they want and they can focus
- 16:33on what they're good at and great at and go more towards that.
- 16:37So the infinite energy idea, so we've seen this throughout history,
- 16:42that free energy, Nikola Tesla, water-powered engines, like we talked about,
- 16:45the cars, automobiles, that we hear about those things and then it happens and then that person dies.
- 16:52They go to a dinner and they get killed, you know, or we don't hear about them
- 16:55ever again. You know, they come up with this amazing innovation and it's going
- 16:59to give free energy to everyone, but then it actually never comes to fruition,
- 17:04never actually happens.
- 17:06So the the point is people monetize scarcity ai could eventually create abundance,
- 17:12and would our current incentives allow abundance to spread no they would not
- 17:17they would not they would not at whatsoever allow like the way that we have
- 17:20things set up it would it's not going to spread to everyone and i i just,
- 17:26i feel like i'm the only one saying this that nobody's actually thinking outside
- 17:30the box this is we can talk about even the smartest guy like eric weinstein or any Anybody that are,
- 17:36you know, Sam Altman, Elon Musk, these guys that are talking about the AI explosion
- 17:40that's going to happen, this massive tidal wave, it's going to sweep over everybody.
- 17:45We don't know what's, it's going to be either completely terrible or awesome.
- 17:49We're going into a golden age.
- 17:51But if you actually can read the writing on the wall.
- 17:55If we want to make it so that it becomes a golden age, we need to put things
- 17:59in place, a system that it's going to pull from the social distribution of wealth,
- 18:04of spreading these things, actually put them in place, that it actually happens.
- 18:08It flows to everybody equally or however you want to say it.
- 18:13But if we don't actually put these things in place and pull from both sides,
- 18:16we're going to be left in the dust. The people that's going to be concentrated
- 18:19and go to the super wealthy and the normies, The regular folks out there are
- 18:24just going to be, they're going to be screwed over big time.
- 18:28So the biggest thing, who owns AI?
- 18:30We need it. Like, should it, should AI ownership be decentralized?
- 18:35Should citizens receive AI dividends?
- 18:37Should we all as American citizens own AI?
- 18:41Like pull all these AI engines that are out there that are being created, chat gpt grok all of them,
- 18:49that are american and and put them together or however you want you want to
- 18:53keep them separate but the ai american citizens own them that we own them whatever
- 18:59they generate we own them,
- 19:01that's what that's what it has to be without it so that like otherwise the regular
- 19:07people out there the regular normal citizens are going to be screwed and left
- 19:11in the dust there it's there.
- 19:13You'd have to be closing your eyes to not see that that will happen.
- 19:17So I know we always hear about the UBI, universal basic income.
- 19:21Could that actually happen?
- 19:23I don't think it would ever happen. I don't think that people are just going
- 19:25to vote on that. And if it is, it's just going to give them a little puh,
- 19:29you know, a little puh. Just give them a little something.
- 19:31And then I do like the, you know, the optimism that Elon Musk has to give them a high income.
- 19:38But I'm talking about if we wanted that golden age, we need to have like the
- 19:41government to pull like i'm just a voice but i feel like i'm the only ones that's even,
- 19:47at least vocalizing this saying this this isn't communism this isn't capitalism
- 19:52this is a new way of thought it's pulling from both communism is a terrible
- 19:57word i don't like it it's not ever going to work in a fallen world
- 20:01because it's just it's just it could not work it can't work,
- 20:05and socialism that just tries to redistribute everything try to pull a steal
- 20:09from people to give to others that doesn't work either.
- 20:12But if the government puts things in place that we are all on the same level
- 20:16playing field, we harness AI and we, and we take that wealth and it does equally
- 20:21get distributed to everybody.
- 20:22Everybody owns AI. American citizens own AI.
- 20:26These corporations that are controlled by whoever, even just their board of
- 20:30directors or whatever, or just this, the CEO,
- 20:33it's not going to, they should not be the ones that just like benefited from
- 20:37this system that we have, America has created, and then they just get crazy
- 20:41rich and they're just sitting on their throne while we peasants at the bottom
- 20:45are just trying to eat, trying to get crumbs.
- 20:47That's what will happen. I think everybody understands that and sees that that will happen.
- 20:53So this isn't capitalism versus socialism. The real question is how do we preserve
- 20:58the incentives that created AI while.
- 21:03America, if we get this further along to the world, humanity,
- 21:08but America, American citizens, instead of only to the people who own it,
- 21:13I would say that American citizens, American citizens,
- 21:18true-blooded, full-blooded American citizens, we should own AI.
- 21:22Whatever it benefits, whatever it creates, and it's like whatever's being pumped
- 21:26into it, these people that are giving all this money to it and putting all that in there.
- 21:31They're expecting a return on their investment and they're going to get a return
- 21:36on their investment, you know, big time, but they're benefited on the American
- 21:40system that we have in place.
- 21:42The wealthier are getting wealthier and they're going to get crazy,
- 21:45more like astronomically wealthier.
- 21:48And the people at the bottom, even just the normal, regular middle income or
- 21:54whatever, the wages or whatever, just, I just want to wipe out this wagey mentality,
- 22:00and just these corporations just owning people.
- 22:03If we really do want to harness AI, we need to get ahead of it and set up these
- 22:06structures that it does equally distribute to American citizens.
- 22:10American citizens have ownership in AI. It has to happen.
- 22:15So it's pulling from both sides the best of both, the best of the free market,
- 22:19the best of what you want, the bad word, the terrible word of communism,
- 22:22social, whatever you want to say of that.
- 22:24But just that I don't like that word, but just that equal distribution that
- 22:28American citizens should have more than enough.
- 22:31We shouldn't be just paying and just being screwed over. And I think that's
- 22:36what will happen if we don't get ahead of this.
- 22:38So I'm just saying this is Brandonism. This is my thought.
- 22:43And I think this is the only way that it is actually going to be beneficial
- 22:46and good for regular American citizens and even the wealthy.
- 22:49Everybody's going to get super wealthy. But I'm saying instead of just that
- 22:52select few that everybody gets crazy wealthy if you're American citizens. Right.
- 22:57That's where I would go with that. So that's my biggest thing.
- 23:01Let me know what you think about all that because I think this is the best way to go, Ward.
- 23:08It's instead of just being ideological that the free market,
- 23:12you know, that's it, that's it. Or, you know, capitalism, because those are
- 23:15what I would tend towards.
- 23:16But with AI, I think we have to pull in something of the equal distribution,
- 23:22the social distribution of wealth, of spreading that. We have to put something in place.
- 23:27All right, but we'll leave it at that. Drop a comment. Let me know what you
- 23:30think. And I'll see you on the next one. Have a good day.
