Transcript
- 0:00Speaker 1: Now, on 710WOR, Mark Simone. Much more Mark. Thank you,
- 0:07Speaker 1: Shadow Stevens. Welcome to hour number three of the latest
- 0:11Speaker 1: breaking news this morning. Trump has been very nice to
- 0:16Speaker 1: Putin the last week or two, even flattering him at times,
- 0:19Speaker 1: causing some flack for himself by being nice to Putin.
- 0:23Speaker 1: But it's paying off. A couple of things have happened.
- 0:27Speaker 1: Russia has released an American they've been holding for four years,
- 0:30Speaker 1: an American teacher. They took hostage. So Putin, Trump asked
- 0:37Speaker 1: for that teacher to be released. That prisoner asked for
- 0:40Speaker 1: him back. Putin released him this morning with no conditions.
- 0:44Speaker 1: It was not a swap or an exchange. He just
- 0:46Speaker 1: did it for us, released the teacher. And then the
- 0:48Speaker 1: other big breakthrough, Putin has agreed to trilateral talks. It'll
- 0:54Speaker 1: be the U.S., Ukraine talks. Russia, Putin has agreed to
- 0:59Speaker 1: sit down for trilateral talks. Now, this is a big breakthrough.
- 1:04Speaker 1: Of course, when you have negotiations with Putin, no matter
- 1:07Speaker 1: what he agrees to, it never happens. But it's the
- 1:11Speaker 1: thought that counts. He's going to have trilateral talks. So
- 1:14Speaker 1: there's been a bit of a breakthrough. We'll see what happens.
- 1:18Speaker 1: Mayor Bloomberg, Michael Bloomberg, has announced he's given $ 80 million
- 1:24Speaker 1: to Democrats. He loves the Democrats. He's a Democrat, lifelong Democrat,
- 1:30Speaker 1: except for that period where he pretended he was a
- 1:32Speaker 1: Republican to get elected mayor, but he's been a Democrat
- 1:35Speaker 1: all his life. So he's donating $ 80 million just in
- 1:39Speaker 1: the last two weeks. This is the final two weeks.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It's only 13 days until the election, so there's going
- 1:44Speaker 1: to be a massive push. It's going to get very intense,
- 1:50Speaker 1: the next week especially, and it's going to go crazy.
- 1:53Speaker 1: So Bloomberg is pumping $ 80 million dollars into the race.
- 1:58Speaker 1: I mean, after all, the Democrats were so nice to him.
- 2:01Speaker 1: Remember when he tried to run and they humiliated him
- 2:04Speaker 1: out of the race? Of course, he was a stuttering
- 2:07Speaker 1: idiot in the debates. His debate, I watch it about
- 2:12Speaker 1: once a week. Go on YouTube, type Michael Bloomberg, Elizabeth Warren.
- 2:17Speaker 1: Watch Elizabeth Warren tear him apart on the debate stage
- 2:21Speaker 1: and watch Bloomberg become a ridiculously embarrassing, stuttering idiot, a
- 2:25Speaker 1: real Chef of the future, a hominy, hominy, hominy, hominy.
- 2:29Speaker 1: He didn't know what to say. Like a bad fighter
- 2:32Speaker 1: who couldn't even get his hands up. The anti-Semitism continuing
- 2:37Speaker 1: all over the place. So some anti-Semite, anti-Israel vandals destroying
- 2:44Speaker 1: the subway entrance, you know, the machines. When you go
- 2:47Speaker 1: on the subway, it used to be a MetroCard. Remember those?
- 2:52Speaker 1: A MetroCard. Remember, a MetroCard. It seems so antique. But,
- 2:57Speaker 1: you know, you hold your phone up to the little
- 2:58Speaker 1: Omni screen reader. Well, these anti-Israel vandals have been going
- 3:05Speaker 1: into the subway. They've captured it on video. You can
- 3:08Speaker 1: see them. They come in with a big drill and
- 3:10Speaker 1: they drill right through the glass and right through the
- 3:12Speaker 1: screen and destroy the Omni reader. Why? Because the company
- 3:19Speaker 1: that makes the readers is an Israeli company, I guess.
- 3:24Speaker 1: They cost about $ 3, 000 each, so they destroyed all of
- 3:29Speaker 1: them in one subway station. That's about $ 18, 000 in damages.
- 3:32Speaker 1: They did leave two leaflets behind. One said live free,
- 3:38Speaker 1: ride free, F the NYPD. The other was anti-Semitic, anti-Israel.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Every time you tap, you're sending money to a war profiteer.
- 3:49Speaker 1: Stop the genocide, free Palestine. These guys were all covered
- 3:53Speaker 1: up and masked. So I don't know if they'll be
- 3:55Speaker 1: able to find them. But they did destroy a lot
- 3:59Speaker 1: of the Omni machine readers. But they'll be on the
- 4:02Speaker 1: lookout for these guys now, trying to stop them. Hey,
- 4:06Speaker 1: The View, Joy Behar. You know, she's older than you
- 4:12Speaker 1: might have realized. She's 84, Joy Behar. And there's a
- 4:17Speaker 1: lot of people that are 84 and running around and
- 4:19Speaker 1: doing a great job. But she's become quite frail at 84.
- 4:25Speaker 1: And she's taken a couple of bad falls backstage, even
- 4:29Speaker 1: on the set once. I think dislocated her shoulder. I mean,
- 4:33Speaker 1: she's taken some really bad falls, serious injuries. She's 84,
- 4:37Speaker 1: and apparently backstage, behind the scenes, people have to lead
- 4:42Speaker 1: her around and hold her, otherwise she'll fall. So apparently,
- 4:48Speaker 1: according to this report, the VIEW executives are urging her
- 4:52Speaker 1: to retire right away. before something really bad happens, serious injury.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Behind the scenes, they say, it's become a dangerous situation.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Nobody wants to be responsible if something bad happens. She
- 5:06Speaker 1: needs the staff to guide her around backstage. She was
- 5:12Speaker 1: off the show for a while earlier this month, claiming
- 5:15Speaker 1: she would be, actually, she's been off since October 1st,
- 5:17Speaker 1: claiming she would be returning soon, but that hasn't happened.
- 5:21Speaker 1: But they're very alarmed about this, urging her now, not
- 5:25Speaker 1: to come back, urging her to retire. You know who
- 5:29Speaker 1: is coming back? Roseanne Barr. Of course, the show Roseanne
- 5:33Speaker 1: back in the 80s, that was the most important show, sitcom.
- 5:39Speaker 1: It was huge. That show was so big, so powerful,
- 5:44Speaker 1: top-rated show, ran for many years. Now, remember, a few
- 5:48Speaker 1: years ago, she brought it back. ABC brought it back.
- 5:51Speaker 1: And she's a Trump supporter. She's a conservative. So she
- 5:55Speaker 1: wanted to make that a part of the character, that
- 5:58Speaker 1: she was a Trump supporter. So they brought the show back.
- 6:01Speaker 1: It did very well in the ratings, but everybody went
- 6:04Speaker 1: crazy on a Trump supporter on ABC. Network TV doesn't
- 6:07Speaker 1: want any Trump support on there. So apparently there was
- 6:11Speaker 1: a tweet they didn't like. I forget what the tweet was.
- 6:13Speaker 1: They said it was racist, but they were looking for
- 6:15Speaker 1: an excuse to cancel her, and they canceled her right away. Well,
- 6:19Speaker 1: she's coming back now with a whole new show. independently
- 6:24Speaker 1: produced she's gotten either she's financing it she probably made
- 6:28Speaker 1: a billion dollars on Roseanne so she may be financing
- 6:31Speaker 1: it or yeah it says self-financed so it's a sitcom
- 6:37Speaker 1: called Meemaw a modern day fable she plays a it's
- 6:45Speaker 1: basically like a trailer park family in Texas Hill country
- 6:48Speaker 1: she plays the matriarch who's very patriotic it's a mixed
- 6:51Speaker 1: race family Adrie DiMatteo plays her daughter. Remember her? She
- 6:56Speaker 1: was on The Sopranos. On The Sopranos, she was Adrienne,
- 7:01Speaker 1: married to Christopher. People loved her in that show, so
- 7:05Speaker 1: she'll be the daughter. Omar Gooding plays her son-in-law. There's
- 7:10Speaker 1: a granddaughter. Randy Quaid plays the local sheriff. So it
- 7:13Speaker 1: could be a great show. Hollywood Reporter took a sneak
- 7:16Speaker 1: peek of it. They said it's closer in tone to
- 7:21Speaker 1: the trailer park comedy, My Name is Earl, then Roseanne.
- 7:26Speaker 1: But she's financed this thing. They've done a pilot or
- 7:29Speaker 1: a couple of shows. And she's looking for an outlet.
- 7:32Speaker 1: If a network wants it, of course, the networks are
- 7:34Speaker 1: all left-wing Trump haters. They're not going to run it.
- 7:37Speaker 1: But a streaming service, they might want it. They might
- 7:41Speaker 1: want it. So keep an eye on this Roseanne new sitcom.
- 7:44Speaker 1: That may be happening soon. If you're in Nashville, remember
- 7:48Speaker 1: you used to go to Nashville. It was all You know,
- 7:51Speaker 1: it was country. It was the Grand Ole Opry. It
- 7:53Speaker 1: was Johnny Cash. It was, you know, country play, ribs,
- 7:58Speaker 1: all that stuff. Well, if you go down there now,
- 8:02Speaker 1: people are a little shocked. There's Lamborghinis all over the place.
- 8:05Speaker 1: There's $ 30, $ 40 million mansions. You know, they got rid
- 8:09Speaker 1: of the tax. Tennessee became a great state. Nashville became
- 8:12Speaker 1: the hottest, most booming city in America. A lot of
- 8:15Speaker 1: wealthy people. A lot of northerners moved down there. It's
- 8:19Speaker 1: becoming quite the glitzy, ritzy place. Even a lot of
- 8:23Speaker 1: top restaurants. Anthony Scotto, who used to be running Fresco,
- 8:27Speaker 1: the great restaurant here in New York. He moved down there.
- 8:30Speaker 1: He opened an Italian restaurant. And then another one. I
- 8:33Speaker 1: think he's got a third one coming. Hot shot New
- 8:35Speaker 1: York restaurant guy down there. There's more and more of
- 8:38Speaker 1: that happening. And as I say, Lamborghinis all over the place.
- 8:41Speaker 1: It's not the same old Nashville. You know, there's good
- 8:46Speaker 1: and there's bad to it. It's like Miami Beach. Isn't
- 8:49Speaker 1: the old, uh, uh, Jackie Gleason, Larry King, Miami beach
- 8:53Speaker 1: with the houseboat. It's like a million skyscrapers. It's gridlock.
- 8:58Speaker 1: It's traffic. It's, uh, uh, hookers everywhere. It's a nightclubs.
- 9:04Speaker 1: It's a million New York restaurant. It's not what it
- 9:06Speaker 1: used to be. Things change when you, that's the problem
- 9:09Speaker 1: with getting rid of all the taxes and making it
- 9:11Speaker 1: a easy place to move to. Everybody moves there. So, um,
- 9:16Speaker 1: In France, they got curfews now in Paris and Lyon.
- 9:20Speaker 1: They're worried about this weekend where it could start up again. Apparently,
- 9:24Speaker 1: a massive security operation being planned by Macron for when
- 9:30Speaker 1: the rioting comes back this weekend. Lay's potato chips. Now,
- 9:36Speaker 1: you should not be eating potato chips, by the way.
- 9:39Speaker 1: There's all kinds of new studies out. You know what
- 9:40Speaker 1: the healthiest thing you need is? Nuts. I mean, for
- 9:43Speaker 1: a snack. Pistachio nuts.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Almonds.
- 9:47Speaker 1: Walnuts, forget potato chips, not healthy. Too many chemicals, but
- 9:53Speaker 1: you read all the latest studies. Nuts are so healthy
- 9:56Speaker 1: for you in like 27 major categories, but Lay's, announces
- 10:02Speaker 1: new flavors to hit the shelves this month and next month.
- 10:08Speaker 1: They're actually made in Texas. I'm choking up here. I
- 10:11Speaker 1: don't know if I like any of these. The new
- 10:13Speaker 1: Lay's potato chips coming out now. Cheddar scalloped style potatoes.
- 10:21Speaker 1: That doesn't sound great. Roasted holiday turkey flavored chips. Sounds ridiculous.
- 10:29Speaker 1: Lays maple bacon chips. Sounds awful. Sorry. Choking up here. Now,
- 10:41Speaker 1: to wash it all down, Pepsi is announcing the big
- 10:45Speaker 1: new Pepsi. It's vanilla and cream soda. Okay, that doesn't
- 10:49Speaker 1: sound bad. Vanilla cream Pepsi. It doesn't sound great, but
- 10:54Speaker 1: it doesn't sound that bad. Now, in December, Lay's is
- 10:57Speaker 1: announcing chocolatey potato chips. Okay, this sounds okay. The wavy
- 11:02Speaker 1: milk chocolate potato chip. The wavy Dubai-style dark chocolate covered chip.
- 11:10Speaker 1: All right, it sounds okay. But it sounds like these
- 11:15Speaker 1: are going to be, they're going to watch. The price
- 11:17Speaker 1: is going to go way up. This is an excuse
- 11:18Speaker 1: to sell you very expensive potato chips. Now, Halloween is coming.
- 11:24Speaker 1: But some towns, especially out in the suburbs, many towns
- 11:30Speaker 1: and localities want to have curfews, strict curfews, because they're
- 11:35Speaker 1: worried about trouble on Halloween, I guess. They want, now
- 11:39Speaker 1: this is a little too early, a 7 p.m. curfew.
- 11:43Speaker 1: Long Branch, New Jersey has passed this. Warwick, New York,
- 11:46Speaker 1: other towns. 7 p.m. curfew. That is not enough time.
- 11:51Speaker 1: I mean, you want your kids to have dinner. I
- 11:53Speaker 1: guess you could eat early, 5 o'clock, go trick-or-treating. But
- 11:56Speaker 1: that's like only an hour or two. Not enough trick-or-treating.
- 11:59Speaker 1: I mean, this is a time to really cash in.
- 12:02Speaker 1: Free candy everywhere. All right, here's another one. They call
- 12:05Speaker 1: this guy the godfather of AI.
- 12:07Speaker 2: Uh....
- 12:11Speaker 1: They call everybody the godfather of AI. This guy's Professor
- 12:15Speaker 1: Geoffrey Hinton. When you hear the word professor, run. If
- 12:19Speaker 1: you hear the word professor, usually don't take anything they
- 12:22Speaker 1: say seriously. He's a British-Canadian computer scientist who worked on
- 12:27Speaker 1: the neutral networks that paved the way for AI. It's
- 12:31Speaker 1: also the story from The Telegraph, which is the sleaziest
- 12:36Speaker 1: British paper. I wouldn't trust them at all. But the
- 12:39Speaker 1: godfather of AI claims humans had better be nice to
- 12:44Speaker 1: the bots or face extinction. The tech has apparently developed
- 12:49Speaker 1: signs of consciousness. Now, remember, this stuff has always gone on.
- 12:54Speaker 1: As we keep pointing out, they did this with electricity.
- 12:57Speaker 1: When electricity was invented, they thought it was going to
- 13:00Speaker 1: be evil and wipe us all out. And that's what
- 13:03Speaker 1: caused the book Frankenstein to be written.
- 13:05Speaker 2: So....
- 13:07Speaker 1: Take it with a big, big grain of salt. I
- 13:09Speaker 1: don't know. Hey, speaking of Ukraine, some numbers coming out.
- 13:14Speaker 1: You know, President Trump dramatically reduced our support, financial support
- 13:19Speaker 1: of Ukraine. And it turns out since Trump took office,
- 13:23Speaker 1: we've only given 540 million.
- 13:24Speaker 2: 540 million.
- 13:24Speaker 1: Compare that to Biden, who gave them 130 billion. $ 130 billion.
- 13:36Speaker 1: What did we get for it? Nothing. In fact, since
- 13:38Speaker 1: Trump cut all the money down dramatically by like 99%,
- 13:46Speaker 1: Ukraine has been doing better. Maybe that's what pushed them
- 13:49Speaker 1: to develop all their own drones and their own missiles
- 13:51Speaker 1: and their own weapons. Since we cut their money, they've
- 13:54Speaker 1: made incredible progress. So maybe we should cut it some more. Hey,
- 13:58Speaker 1: we'll take some calls next. 800-321-0710 is the number. Give
- 14:04Speaker 1: me a call, especially if you're a new caller. We
- 14:05Speaker 1: love to hear from new callers.
- 14:07Speaker 2: 800-321-0710.
- 14:07Speaker 1: Now, 9 till noon weekdays. Mark Simone. More Mark. On 710WOR. Well,
- 14:10Speaker 1: let's take some calls. 800-321-0710 is the number. Let's go
- 14:14Speaker 1: to Kathy in North Carolina. Kathy, how are you doing?
- 14:32Speaker 3: Hey, beautiful day here in sunny North Carolina.
- 14:37Speaker 1: Hey, sunny here, too.
- 14:38Speaker 3: I know. I'm headed home this weekend. I'm really kind of.
- 14:42Speaker 1: Where's that?
- 14:44Speaker 3: To Stanford.
- 14:45Speaker 1: Oh, Stanford, Connecticut.
- 14:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 14:48Speaker 3: You know, you love Stanford.
- 14:49Speaker 1: I love Stanford. Great place. You got the great restaurant prime.
- 14:53Speaker 1: You got all sorts of stuff there. You got to
- 14:55Speaker 1: pop up bagels coming there. You got a Frank Pepe there.
- 14:58Speaker 1: You got all you need.
- 14:58Speaker 3: It's changed quite. It's like they're building like crazy. But
- 15:02Speaker 3: earlier I heard you mention Omar asking for money, Ilyan Omar.
- 15:08Speaker 3: And so I'm I know I'm your favorite Democrat. So
- 15:11Speaker 3: I want to tell you that I got an email
- 15:14Speaker 3: from her the day after they, quote, raided her house.
- 15:18Speaker 2: And it was.
- 15:19Speaker 3: Unbelievable. It said Trump has weaponized the DOJ and the
- 15:24Speaker 3: DHS against his opponents. And now the fascism has come
- 15:28Speaker 3: to my literal front door. And so if I weren't
- 15:32Speaker 3: laughing enough, I would scroll down and it was like,
- 15:35Speaker 3: I will not give up. I will not be silenced.
- 15:37Speaker 3: Can you donate money to me?
- 15:40Speaker 1: But listen, if you heard, that's what you're going to say.
- 15:42Speaker 1: That's the perfect life. First of all, the investigation into Omar.
- 15:46Speaker 1: Started by Joe Biden. It started under him. That's right.
- 15:49Speaker 3: And at least she didn't use the word, you know,
- 15:52Speaker 3: like warfare or whatever.
- 15:55Speaker 1: Lawfare, yeah.
- 15:56Speaker 3: I mean, the pot is calling the kettle black there. Yeah, well,
- 15:59Speaker 3: all right.
- 16:00Speaker 1: But, you know, that's the perfect lie for her. That's
- 16:02Speaker 1: the best spin. That's the best thing to say.
- 16:04Speaker 3: She's not running for.
- 16:07Speaker 4: Anything, right?
- 16:08Speaker 1: Running for her life. Running from the law right now.
- 16:11Speaker 3: No, but she's not doing re-election, right? So why does
- 16:15Speaker 3: she need money?
- 16:16Speaker 1: Uh, at least you're going to have massive legal bills.
- 16:18Speaker 1: She's going to need money for a legal defense.
- 16:21Speaker 3: Well, I am more than thrilled that she got, I'm
- 16:24Speaker 3: sorry it took so long because I don't know what
- 16:27Speaker 3: took so long, but I'm anxious to hear it. But
- 16:30Speaker 3: also you read a thing about the Dubai, uh, or
- 16:33Speaker 3: the potato chips.
- 16:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:34Speaker 3: What's the deal? What is the deal with the Dubai
- 16:37Speaker 3: mentioned for, for food?
- 16:38Speaker 1: Well, okay. This is the big, a hot thing for
- 16:40Speaker 1: about a year and a half. Actually, he lays a
- 16:42Speaker 1: little late to it in Dubai. They came up with
- 16:44Speaker 1: the great, um, It's chocolate and it's a pistachio cream
- 16:49Speaker 1: and a certain kind of filling. It's actually very delicious.
- 16:52Speaker 1: It's Dubai chocolate bars. And everybody in the U.S. But
- 16:56Speaker 1: it's dark chocolate. It's dark chocolate, a pistachio cream. It's
- 17:00Speaker 1: actually delicious. Dubai chocolate bars. You can find them all
- 17:03Speaker 1: over the place. And then Every restaurant started making Dubai
- 17:06Speaker 1: chocolate desserts.
- 17:07Speaker 3: Well, I'm a little slow to the game there, so
- 17:09Speaker 3: thank you for clearing that up.
- 17:10Speaker 1: Well, you're in North Carolina.
- 17:12Speaker 3: You know, I mean, you're a little out of town.
- 17:15Speaker 3: You have a good day. All right.
- 17:17Speaker 1: Thanks for calling. Let's go to James in Utah. James,
- 17:21Speaker 1: how are you doing? Hey, Mark.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Thanks so much. I just had a quick question. Do
- 17:27Speaker 4: you know whether Trump has ever thought about trying to
- 17:31Speaker 4: make an appeal to, like, A gay community? He's done
- 17:33Speaker 4: so much for the gay community, and he never really
- 17:36Speaker 4: seems to make an outreach. I didn't know whether that
- 17:37Speaker 4: was a plan you've ever heard of.
- 17:40Speaker 1: Well, there's not much. You can't really do anything. I mean,
- 17:42Speaker 1: he's been very pro-gay. He was an early proponent of
- 17:45Speaker 1: gay marriage. He's attended a lot of gay weddings before
- 17:48Speaker 1: he got into politics. He's as pro-gay as anybody. But
- 17:51Speaker 1: there's nothing you can do because they'll just attack you.
- 17:53Speaker 1: The media will attack you. You know, they continue to
- 17:57Speaker 1: describe him as a racist, even though nobody has been
- 17:59Speaker 1: less racist. You know, before he went into politics, Trump
- 18:02Speaker 1: was getting awards from Jesse Jackson for the best minority
- 18:06Speaker 1: hiring practices. But it doesn't matter. No matter what he does, outreach, whatever,
- 18:11Speaker 1: they'll keep attacking him. The fake narrative will keep going.
- 18:14Speaker 1: But good question, James. Thanks for calling. Let's go to
- 18:18Speaker 1: Wendy in Long Island. Wendy, how are you doing?
- 18:21Speaker 2: Hey, Mark.
- 18:22Speaker 5: I'm doing great.
- 18:23Speaker 1: Well, that's good.
- 18:23Speaker 5: Thanks for taking my call. So, listen, I beg to
- 18:27Speaker 5: differ about... Potato chips, they're actually a health food. They're
- 18:32Speaker 5: not junk food. Stop that.
- 18:34Speaker 1: Stop that.
- 18:35Speaker 5: Stop that. Yes, it's potatoes, oil, and salt. And you
- 18:39Speaker 5: don't have any problem with salt if you have low
- 18:41Speaker 5: blood pressure.
- 18:42Speaker 1: All right. I want you to get a pack of
- 18:43Speaker 1: potato chips in the supermarket, and I want you to
- 18:45Speaker 1: look at the ingredients. It does not say potatoes and
- 18:49Speaker 1: salt and oil. That's not what it says. It has
- 18:52Speaker 1: 47 chemicals and 28 ingredients you never heard of in there.
- 18:56Speaker 5: Okay. I'll mail you a package of Lay's.
- 18:59Speaker 1: I don't mean to pick on Lay's, but if you
- 19:02Speaker 1: go look at the label, there's all kinds of ingredients,
- 19:05Speaker 1: you know, like sorbitol, albatol, bisitol, chemical type thing. When
- 19:11Speaker 1: you see the ingredients have ingredients, you know you're not
- 19:14Speaker 1: eating the healthiest food.
- 19:16Speaker 5: Okay. And then I just wanted to make a quick
- 19:18Speaker 5: comment on the Turkish pistachio nuts. I've been eating them
- 19:21Speaker 5: for years and years and years, and they're really much
- 19:23Speaker 5: better than the California ones. They have a light seasoning
- 19:26Speaker 5: and a different taste. And then all of a sudden,
- 19:28Speaker 5: when this Dubai chocolate came out, the price of the
- 19:31Speaker 5: pistachio nuts jumped twice the amount that they were. So
- 19:34Speaker 5: they were about $ 9 a pound. Now they're over $ 20
- 19:37Speaker 5: a pound. I don't really care for the Dubai chocolate,
- 19:40Speaker 5: and I certainly don't want pistachio cream in my dark chocolate.
- 19:43Speaker 1: You don't have to have it. It's just a big
- 19:45Speaker 1: thing in Dubai. There's a lot of big Dubai things
- 19:47Speaker 1: they love that everybody else would hate that look pretty
- 19:50Speaker 1: stupid but hey where are you.
- 19:51Speaker 5: In long island um so we live out here in comac.
- 19:55Speaker 1: Comac is very nice very nice in comac it is.
- 19:58Speaker 5: All right it is very nice all.
- 20:01Speaker 1: Right thanks for calling let's go to uh let's see
- 20:04Speaker 1: let's go to oswald in bayside oswald how you doing.
- 20:10Speaker 3: Good, Mark.
- 20:11Speaker 1: I love your show.
- 20:12Speaker 3: I think you're the best, and I hope Bruce Blake
- 20:14Speaker 3: makes wings, man.
- 20:15Speaker 1: Yeah, well, he turned things around in New York. So
- 20:19Speaker 1: you're actually close to Nassau County. Not quite there. It's
- 20:21Speaker 1: right across the water from you. Yeah, it's very beautiful here.
- 20:26Speaker 1: Bayside is very nice. I like it. You've got beautiful
- 20:28Speaker 1: stuff there. The Bayview Terrace, you've got all that. You've
- 20:31Speaker 1: got Ben's Deli. You've got everything in Bayside.
- 20:35Speaker 5: Thank you for taking my call, Mark.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Have a beautiful day.
- 20:38Speaker 1: All right. Thanks for calling. Let's go to Aaron in Indianapolis. Aaron,
- 20:43Speaker 1: how you doing?
- 20:45Speaker 2: Good morning, Mark.
- 20:46Speaker 3: And hey, congratulations on your new year.
- 20:49Speaker 1: What new year?
- 20:51Speaker 6: I'm sorry, your new hour.
- 20:53Speaker 1: Oh, please stop. I make the show a year every day.
- 20:55Speaker 1: It'll be a nonstop one-year show.
- 20:59Speaker 6: I want to talk about the weaponization of the Justice
- 21:02Speaker 6: Department under Trump.
- 21:03Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:05Speaker 6: Because that is to make up for the weaponization of
- 21:08Speaker 6: the Justice Department under Biden and Barack Hussein Ayatollah Obama.
- 21:12Speaker 1: Well, the difference is, if you look at the charges
- 21:15Speaker 1: the Trump administration is bringing, they all seem to be
- 21:17Speaker 1: quite legitimate. If you look at the lawfare against Trump,
- 21:20Speaker 1: the charges are absolutely ridiculous and immediately tossed out by
- 21:24Speaker 1: any legitimate appeals court. But the Trump charges seem to
- 21:28Speaker 1: be real and they'll hold up in any court. So
- 21:31Speaker 1: that's the good news. But thanks for calling, Aaron. Yeah,
- 21:35Speaker 1: so you look at the Letitia James case against Trump,
- 21:40Speaker 1: the Alvin Bragg, this crazy DA case against Trump. All
- 21:43Speaker 1: our greatest legal scholars have said they can't figure out
- 21:47Speaker 1: what the hell the charge is. Dershowitz said he's been
- 21:50Speaker 1: doing this 60 years, cannot figure out what the charge
- 21:53Speaker 1: is against Trump. I mean, they fabricated ridiculous charges. That's
- 21:56Speaker 1: why they won't allow the appeals to proceed. They're holding
- 21:59Speaker 1: them up because the appeals court would just toss it
- 22:01Speaker 1: all out immediately.
- 22:02Speaker 2: Right.
- 22:03Speaker 1: Trump, by the way, not convicted of anything. You know,
- 22:05Speaker 1: they keep saying he's a convicted felon. You're not technically
- 22:08Speaker 1: a conviction until you're sentenced. And they've held up the sentencing.
- 22:12Speaker 1: So when we come back, Ann Coulter, we'll talk to
- 22:15Speaker 1: her next on 710WOR. Well, Ann Coulter, the best-selling author,
- 22:29Speaker 1: the great columnist, Rumble star. Have you been watching the
- 22:33Speaker 1: Ann Coulter channel on Rumble? Take a look at it.
- 22:36Speaker 1: And then make sure you sign up for her Substack.
- 22:39Speaker 1: You can follow her on Twitter, but even better, Substack,
- 22:42Speaker 1: where she does videos and podcasts and all sorts of stuff.
- 22:45Speaker 1: It's anncoulter.substack.com. Ann Coulter, how are you doing?
- 22:51Speaker 6: Great.
- 22:51Speaker 2: How are you, Mark Simone?
- 22:53Speaker 1: Very good. Very good. Look at this. Kamala Harris is...
- 22:56Speaker 1: Hitting the campaign trail. That should be a big help.
- 22:59Speaker 2: Oh, that's fantastic.
- 23:02Speaker 1: That's going to really move the needle, huh?
- 23:04Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 23:08Speaker 2: Just be glad Obama can't run again.
- 23:10Speaker 1: Well, he's out there campaigning for Al-Sayed this week. Could
- 23:15Speaker 1: Al-Sayed really win in a Rust Belt Michigan-type state?
- 23:20Speaker 2: Well, it's not that Rust Belt anymore, but yes, yes.
- 23:23Speaker 2: I mean, the big issue, unfortunately for Republicans, it shouldn't
- 23:29Speaker 2: be because it's not going to end the Iran War,
- 23:31Speaker 2: but it is the Iran War. And it was stupid.
- 23:34Speaker 2: Trump promised not to start any more stupid wars. This
- 23:37Speaker 2: is about the stupidest we've had. Certainly in my lifetime,
- 23:42Speaker 2: drove all these gas prices up. People are angry. I
- 23:46Speaker 2: noticed that MSNBC and CNN are already trying to say
- 23:50Speaker 2: it's about something other than the Iran war. Oh, it's ICE.
- 23:53Speaker 2: People are mad at ICE. No, as I keep pointing out, immigration,
- 23:57Speaker 2: although Trump's numbers are quite low, his immigration enforcement is
- 24:03Speaker 2: the most popular of all of his policies. It's the
- 24:06Speaker 2: one issue voters still trust Republicans on more. Not that
- 24:11Speaker 2: those questions are really as... As precise as they seem,
- 24:17Speaker 2: what happens is when voters are mad at the party
- 24:20Speaker 2: in power, they just blame them for everything, every single
- 24:23Speaker 2: little thing. So the numbers go down across the board.
- 24:26Speaker 2: So it's striking that still voters trust Republicans more on immigration. And,
- 24:33Speaker 2: you know, this is what I keep telling people. I've
- 24:37Speaker 2: been running into a lot of them, just regular people
- 24:40Speaker 2: who are angry about the Iran war. And what on
- 24:44Speaker 2: earth is Trump doing? They're not wild about the ballroom
- 24:47Speaker 2: and all that stuff either, but it's mostly the Iran war.
- 24:50Speaker 2: And I tell them you're not going to get less war,
- 24:53Speaker 2: even if El-Sayed wins. And he is probably the Democrat
- 24:56Speaker 2: who would be most against this war, though they all are.
- 25:01Speaker 2: Every Democrat voted against the Iran war, so Republicans are
- 25:04Speaker 2: not in a good position on that. it's not going
- 25:08Speaker 2: to make any difference. It's not going to make any
- 25:10Speaker 2: difference in how much foreign aid we send to Israel
- 25:13Speaker 2: or anyplace else. But we will have sane judges blocked.
- 25:20Speaker 2: Trump won't be able to get any more judges through,
- 25:22Speaker 2: and that's going to last a long time. Next Democrat
- 25:27Speaker 2: who comes in as president is going to do what
- 25:30Speaker 2: Biden did and fill up the federal courts with a
- 25:32Speaker 2: bunch of uh... p c d i incompetent uh... we're
- 25:38Speaker 2: also uh... who were also going going to get lots
- 25:43Speaker 2: more d e i policies uh... i mean it's all
- 25:46Speaker 2: the things it what you are voting for by voting
- 25:49Speaker 2: against republicans is not what you're going to be getting
- 25:52Speaker 2: here going to be very bad i mean senate the
- 25:55Speaker 2: senate election oh my gosh a lot of them shockingly
- 25:58Speaker 2: even texas looks awfully close We could lose, we could
- 26:02Speaker 2: finally lose Texas. And I think I told you, I
- 26:04Speaker 2: don't know, a couple months ago, if you asked me
- 26:07Speaker 2: about Texas, I would have said, I don't know, it's Texas.
- 26:10Speaker 2: They've been predicting it for a long time. No, it
- 26:12Speaker 2: looks pretty bad right now. I hope I'm wrong. I
- 26:15Speaker 2: can't tell you how much I hope I'm wrong. But
- 26:18Speaker 2: Senators last six years. We're going to be stuck with
- 26:21Speaker 2: these guys. I mean, okay, who knows what will happen,
- 26:26Speaker 2: but I think it's going to be a very bad
- 26:27Speaker 2: night for Republicans. We could lose Iowa. We could lose Texas.
- 26:32Speaker 2: If that happens, I just want to remind people this
- 26:34Speaker 2: is six years. Don't throw a little fit over Trump
- 26:38Speaker 2: and the Iran war now.
- 26:40Speaker 1: Yeah. Well, we'll see. It's going to be 13 days
- 26:44Speaker 1: from today. The most important thing is everybody get out
- 26:47Speaker 1: and vote. In New York, you can start voting on Saturday.
- 26:50Speaker 1: Make sure you get out and vote.
- 26:53Speaker 2: Not everyone should get out and vote. Yes.
- 26:56Speaker 1: If you're a Democrat, the voting is in December. You
- 26:59Speaker 1: can wait till then.
- 27:00Speaker 2: Oh, yeah. Speaking of which, you know, in the New
- 27:02Speaker 2: York elections, I mean, it is New York, but probably
- 27:06Speaker 2: the worst elected official in the state of New York,
- 27:10Speaker 2: perhaps in all of history, is Letitia James, the attorney general.
- 27:14Speaker 2: And I've been listening to her opponent, that Indian lady.
- 27:18Speaker 1: Brilliant.
- 27:19Speaker 2: And I have to say, she's really, she's very good.
- 27:24Speaker 2: It's really kind of heartbreaking that she is... I doesn't
- 27:30Speaker 2: seem to have much of a chance. I mean, it
- 27:32Speaker 2: is New York, but wow. I hope New Yorkers are
- 27:34Speaker 2: paying attention to that.
- 27:36Speaker 3: Yes.
- 27:36Speaker 1: Unfortunately, nobody can remember her name or even if they
- 27:39Speaker 1: know what it is, they can't say what's her name. Sarita.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Well, it's not Letitia Jane.
- 27:45Speaker 1: Vote for the Republican for attorney general. Very important. Hey, uh,
- 27:52Speaker 1: you're an alumni, uh, How come I haven't heard about
- 27:56Speaker 1: Cornell for a few days? It vanished from the news.
- 27:59Speaker 1: What was that? Why did it vanish?
- 28:03Speaker 2: You know, I've noticed that it's vanished every place except
- 28:05Speaker 2: from the New York Times, which is what my column
- 28:08Speaker 2: is about today. I know I've got to stop writing
- 28:11Speaker 2: about this, but they're so insane. This Cornell case is crazy,
- 28:16Speaker 2: and we're getting the same thing we always get where–
- 28:21Speaker 2: where uh... you know just here on fire reporting and
- 28:25Speaker 2: yesterday the new york times had another article on uh...
- 28:30Speaker 2: why men in groups behave badly oh i don't know
- 28:34Speaker 2: recruitment groups created you know paypal spacex palantir both the
- 28:40Speaker 2: modern world if they if they conquered nazi germany men
- 28:44Speaker 2: in groups have actually done some good thing yes uh...
- 28:48Speaker 2: But the Times in particular, it is worse than any
- 28:52Speaker 2: other major news outlet, that newspaper, in terms of anything
- 28:57Speaker 2: having to do with feminists, anything. They were the last
- 29:02Speaker 2: ones to admit that the Duke lacrosse players were innocent.
- 29:07Speaker 2: I mean, I think Nifong was in prison before the
- 29:09Speaker 2: New York Times would admit it. And, you know, as
- 29:12Speaker 2: the great book by Stuart Taylor– I forget the other
- 29:15Speaker 2: guy's name– until proven innocent, I think is the name
- 29:19Speaker 2: of it, about the Duke case demonstrated, it was really
- 29:24Speaker 2: shocking how much the New York Times kept lying and
- 29:27Speaker 2: hiding about that. And that's just one case. I mean,
- 29:30Speaker 2: there have been many more since then. And they're doing
- 29:33Speaker 2: the same thing now. I kept noticing, I mean, I
- 29:37Speaker 2: saw it right after ABC News. posted it. A lot
- 29:41Speaker 2: of these documents had been released to the media. And
- 29:44Speaker 2: ABC News, to their credit, was the first ones to
- 29:46Speaker 2: post a bunch of Jane Doe's texts to her alleged
- 29:51Speaker 2: rapist in the week after the gangbang, as she herself
- 29:55Speaker 2: called it in one of the texts, by the way.
- 29:59Speaker 2: And they're utterly exonerating. It shows pretty clearly not only consent,
- 30:06Speaker 2: but ooh, enthusiastic consent. And I keep reading these New
- 30:10Speaker 2: York Times articles, and they're not printing the juiciest of
- 30:14Speaker 2: her texts. They are simply not printing them. This is
- 30:18Speaker 2: one thing AI is great for. I asked a few
- 30:21Speaker 2: AIs to tell me if the New York Times had
- 30:24Speaker 2: ever printed this particular text from Jane Doe. Oh, no, no, no. Oh, no, no, no.
- 30:30Speaker 2: And this is when they have written more than 70
- 30:34Speaker 2: articles or podcasts or videos. More than 70 on this case.
- 30:39Speaker 2: It's not like they're reserving judgment. They've already made their judgment,
- 30:43Speaker 2: and it's just, you know, a matter of denouncing men.
- 30:45Speaker 1: Yeah. Now, if these texts are real and true, it
- 30:49Speaker 1: looks like she's saying afterwards, a week after, that everything
- 30:52Speaker 1: was fine, she wasn't raped, and it was all consensual.
- 30:56Speaker 2: So.
- 30:57Speaker 1: In a courtroom, won't these guys be able to get
- 31:02Speaker 1: declared innocent.
- 31:03Speaker 2: With all this? Well, it's a lawsuit. It's not innocent, guilty.
- 31:09Speaker 2: I mean, I don't think the DA can't bring charges
- 31:13Speaker 2: on the basis of this, I would think. But that's
- 31:15Speaker 2: why the New York Times and others, I mean, the
- 31:19Speaker 2: professoriate at Cornell is denouncing the president for not doing more.
- 31:25Speaker 2: It reminds me of... the Rolling Stone story about the
- 31:30Speaker 2: non-existent gang rape at the UVA fraternity. And for you
- 31:35Speaker 2: youngsters who missed this really glorious chapter in journalistic history,
- 31:41Speaker 2: Sabrina Eardley wrote the most insane, on-its-face, untrue story of
- 31:48Speaker 2: a gang rape in a fraternity on top of glass
- 31:52Speaker 2: with fraternity brothers saying things like, grab its leg, its leg.
- 31:58Speaker 2: Just statements that were, on their face, comical. The rest
- 32:03Speaker 2: of the media, liberal mainstream media, pretty quickly started, did
- 32:10Speaker 2: not take this article seriously. It was a cover story
- 32:14Speaker 2: on Rolling Stone. But, oh, at the school, all fraternity
- 32:21Speaker 2: activity was banned, as has just been done at Cornell.
- 32:26Speaker 2: the Dean of Students, or this woman, Arduro, I think
- 32:29Speaker 2: her name was, she took Jackie, the accuser, totally seriously.
- 32:35Speaker 2: You know, all the Title IX apparatus kicked into play.
- 32:41Speaker 2: And the entire thing, it was beyond fictional. This Jackie,
- 32:45Speaker 2: the accuser, had never set foot in the fraternity. She
- 32:49Speaker 2: didn't know a single member of the fraternity. She just
- 32:51Speaker 2: randomly picked this fraternity to... to slam one newspaper, by
- 32:57Speaker 2: the way, did not express skepticism of her story. And yes,
- 33:01Speaker 2: that would be the New York times. But yeah, Cornell
- 33:04Speaker 2: has bent over backward to accommodate and to believe this loon, despite,
- 33:11Speaker 2: despite what are some very exonerating texts from her.
- 33:15Speaker 1: It's going to be interesting. Ann Coulter, we're out of time,
- 33:18Speaker 1: but everybody check. When's the new column come out today?
- 33:21Speaker 2: A little bit later today. All right.
- 33:24Speaker 1: Look for it on Twitter, on Substack. Follow Ann Coulter
- 33:28Speaker 1: at Substack. Make sure you watch her Rumble channel and,
- 33:31Speaker 1: of course, get all of her books. Ann Coulter, thanks
- 33:34Speaker 1: for being with us.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Good to talk to you, Mark Simone. Bye-bye.
- 33:38Speaker 1: Take care. Hey, don't forget, at noon, you've got to
- 33:41Speaker 1: listen to Buck Sexton and Clay Travis. It's a big
- 33:44Speaker 1: show with two great hosts. And then at 3 o'clock,
- 33:47Speaker 1: you've got the most listened to radio show in America,
- 33:50Speaker 1: Sean Hannity. You've got Jesse Kelly at 6. You've got
- 33:53Speaker 1: The very funny Jimmy Fallon, 9 o'clock. And don't forget,
- 33:56Speaker 1: I'm here three hours every day now, 9 to noon.
- 33:59Speaker 1: Three hours, 9 to noon. Right before me, Curtis Sliwa
- 34:02Speaker 1: and Larry Menti, 6 to 9. It's all here on 710WOR.
- 34:08Speaker 2: The Mark Simone Show, now 9 till noon weekdays. On 710WOR.
- 34:16Speaker 1: Well, we're out of time. Thank God. I mean, unfortunately,
- 34:19Speaker 1: we're out of time and I'll be back tomorrow. Don't forget,
- 34:23Speaker 1: 13 days until the election. But the early voting in
- 34:26Speaker 1: New York starts on Saturday. You can vote starting Saturday.
- 34:30Speaker 1: In fact, do it this weekend. Probably be easier that way. Connecticut,
- 34:33Speaker 1: they already have early voting. Check your state. Early voting.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Do it.
- 34:39Speaker 1: I'll be back tomorrow. It's going to be a nice, beautiful,
- 34:42Speaker 1: sunny day. Windy, but sunny. And bright sunshine for the
- 34:45Speaker 1: next five or six days. That's good. I'll see you tomorrow,
- 34:48Speaker 1: 9 to noon, here on 710WOR.
