- Chasing The Magic: Hey everyone, I'm Laura. And I'm Lindy. Grab your Mickey ears. It's time to chase the magic. Laura: Alright, we got a little peanut in the peanut gallery today. all right, well let's we'll just start in with news and then we'll talk about our trip. Okay, Chasing The Magic: It's time for making memories and dreaming like daddies. Laura: Disney Christmas is starting to get ready backstage. first party, do we know? That'll be n the weekend after Halloween, kinda like ours. Okay. Yeah. So November Next Saturday or this Saturday. So then you think it'll be Sunday? It'll be Friday. What do you mean, Friday? the next Friday. So like November S sixth. Whatever day that is, yep. It'll be Friday. And then Jollywood Ninth will be that Saturday. Okay. I'm pretty sure. I mean we have the dates available to us already, obviously. let me see. I get tight. But yeah, so but things have been spotted backstage. All the different trees with all the different distinctions. we've got a okay gingerbread details on Magic Kingdom. Epcot features some countries. Hollywood Studios uses its retro ornaments. It left out Animal Kingdom because it's the redheaded stepchild, obviously. poor animal. I know, right. How soon do you think the after Halloween should that's interesting. I'll tell you this in a minute. How soon do you think they should decorate? Well Or how soon do you decorate? I wait until like mm second week of November. Mm-hmm. And I used to wait until after Thanksgiving, but that's no fun. That's no fun. Yeah. so Jollywood Nights is first this year on Saturday, and then Mickey's very Merry Christmas party is on Sunday. Mick It's okay, we went last year for our anniversary. And it wasn't great. Well no, but we didn't. The trip was fun. Yeah, the trip was fun. The party wasn't Yeah. Alright, so Monstropolis is f officially coming on. New aerial photos show extensive work on the courtyard and the future route towards Monsters Inc. door coaster. The reporting say is that Monstropolis will be opening in phases starting in 2027, while the door coaster will follow later. Do we feel like opening this land in phases is Positive or I think it's cool. I like it. I mean everybody's really excited about it, so why not open it sooner? I wonder if what you know, so they're having the coaster's gonna take the longest. Right. That's what I'm saying. I wonder if we know 'cause there was a coaster, was there another little ride and then a show and then a restaurant, I think is what so I wonder what's actually opening. I heard the restaurant was gonna be one of the the first ones. Right, I heard that too. which I would love to go, even though I don't like sushi, I'll just go and you know I'm sure they have chicken strips. I'm sure they have stuff for something for everyone. Yeah. Yeah. Even Yak and Yeti they have craft mac and cheese, so I'm okay. I'll be fine. cannot. Okay, so the initial opening will be two restaurants and the show. Okay. So that's fun. Two restaurants. Right. And of course a shop. Yeah. Yeah, my lot. So yeah, the pizza one. So it's essentially probably gonna replace pizza rizzo. It's probably exactly where Pizza Rizzo was. and then the Harry Housens. Yeah. Which is more of a like an actual restaurant. Yeah, with an audio animatronic sushi chef using eight tentacles. Okay. Hmm. Interesting. Okay. So that's early next year, right? Or is it coming? Early it just says 2027. next up on the news, the near did you and I didn't realize this and we were there and it might have happened yesterday. The bird woman from Mary Poppins made a surprise Run Disney appearance. I did hear that. So yeah. Okay, so it was yesterday. The October 25th wine and dine half marathon was themed to Mary Poppins. Hmm. So yeah. And apparently it was a big big stop. Yep. so California Grill has a big New Year's Eve like dinner kind of thing. So you can eat dinner there. It's a four-course menu and then I think it also like you can see the fireworks from there. for New Year's Eve and they released their date. Well they released openings. California No, it's releasing on this is November eleventh. This is Disneyland? Yeah. No, contemporary. Yeah. say we don't usually do Disneyland news but Yeah. Well I mean we do if there is any. Right. But there isn't any everything. Well, because it's one thing but Yes. no. Well that's why that's why it didn't give me that news. So yeah, you get to with viewing of Magic Kingdom's fireworks. So it's going to come back, it's going to open on November 11th. Dining meals are not accepted. And are you ready for the prices from last year? $230 on the 30th. $300 on the 31st for your early seating. And for your late seating, $350 per person. Per person. Person characters and fireworks above the park crowds. I mean plus a four course meal on New Year's Eve, that's pretty sweet. That that would be like a bucketless thing. Right, definitely. Definitely a bucketless thing. And avoiding all the crowds. That part. You'd still get to say you did New Year's at Disney and you got some characters, you know, stuff like that. So Disney PhotoPass can now connect to Shutterfly, which I saw that on the app. I could just like click the Shutterfly button and I could make me a little something. So I saw that announcement. I saw an email about that. Yeah. Yeah, it news. Yeah, it opened on the it started on the twentieth. And then we talked about this last time, but banana ball returns. And you have to join the ticket lottery by October thirty first. Which I did. So it says Would you build a Disney vacation around a sporting event? I would this one. I'm just saying. Yeah, because Okay, that's all I got for news. I feel like there was something I had for news. my gosh, listen to the food options for the California girl. I would definitely pay the price. Wagyu filet, a butter poached lobster, and Sonoma goat cheese ravioli. That's one course? Or is that no, that's one. Meal included choices such as Jeez. Yep. Okay. What else? There was something about you remember how we saw well, we went to light pig for the first time yes while we were there. Yes. Really good. Yes. Highly recommend. yep. But they okay so we saw that they had made the Michelin guide the past three years. And I looked into it. It's not the same as having a Michelin star, but it's like a travel, it's like something they do for like destinations, I guess. Okay, well that's cool. So it's still pretty prestigious. Okay. but then I happened I was scrolling and I happened to see that There are three restaurants listed on the Michelin guide. One of which actually has A Michelin star. A Michelin star. Is it It's the one at Gre's I knew this at one point. I thought it was newly newly released. Mm-hmm. I can't remember. Is it it's not Steakhouse 71. No, that's too new. What are they? No, okay. So it was like I can't even pronounce it. I have to look it up. two of them are at Grand Flow. Okay. The other one I believe is Coronado Springs. Surprisingly. Let's see. Can't remember names. It's like A and It's working. I shouldn't have It's working. Chat is working. But I knew there was one. I remember there being one back in like 2019 when I was planning on go. Okay, Victoria and Alberts holds the one Michelin star. Yep. And then Michelin selected is Citricos at the Grand Flow and Toledo at Coronado Springs. Yep. So yeah. I wouldn't mind I f yes, Victoria and Alert's like it's not even ever been on my radar because it's so it's I don't I don't think I ever will have that palette. Mm, you know? There's gotta be something there you'll you would like. And the thing is is I'm at the point that I will try about everything. Cause like I tried those Buffalo Ranch. And I would have taken a bite of your sweet and spicy ones, but I'd like was just too full. Just to be clear, the Buffalo Ranch were what again though? Chicken strips? But I don't like buffalo sauce that much, okay? man. Okay. Yeah. well like does it did you look up their menu? I'm like yeah. $300 per person. I mean, yeah. Four twenty five per sh for if you want to sit at the chef's table. yeah. You have to have the four that's the other thing is you have to have semi formal, formal attire. and your food allergies must be communicated five days beforehand. So that's what I'm saying. Most of these Restaurants, five star Michelin star restaurants don't have actual menus. Did you watch the bear on Hulu? It was an ever moving show up and get menu. Yeah. Yeah. So I'd be down for that. I kinda would too. Sounds good. That'd be fun. I would also like to visit the one at Coronado because I've never even been to Coronado Springs. That's where Olivia and them stayed when they took the kids. It was the cheapest They had a deal going on as the cheapest because they had five kids. So, I mean three kids, so five of them. Michelin's current review mentions mentions tuna with caviar and liche, king salmon with mole verde, I bet that's good. Parisian Nokia with fontina and date, I bet that's good. And venison with a juniper and porcini crust and creamy sunchoke puree. See, I would try all of that except the tuna. So Yeah, quarter. Is it course based too? Okay. Mm-hmm. It's hard to get a reservation. yeah. Alright. I'm looking up the one at Coronado Springs too. What I didn't what I was surprised though is that I didn't if Polite Pig, maybe it's under a different category. Like it's not restaurant, so it wasn't mentioned in that article, but they definitely made the Michelin guide, so Okay, ooh, okay. We I I would eat at Toledo's. What does Toledo's have? They have a this is just a sample. Ro Rio Braised chorizo for only sixteen dollars. Charred octopus with potatoes and chimichuri for eighteen dollars. Rojo braised chicken with saffron rice for thirty-four dollars, filet of beef with mushroom and potato puree for forty-one dollars. And bone and ribeye for two with two sides for $115. To me, that's not bad. For two, no. Yeah. You go to Toledo's official menu though. But I think that could be That's more doable. We could we could definitely find That's like that's same like scale as Topolino's. Right. For our big 2028 trip. Ooh, we could do Chef's signature dinner for two. for a hundred and sixty dollars and you get like all this stuff. That's cool. we can leave the children with my mother. Hey And then we have a date night. Plus James Or they do have Disney nannies. Yeah, I know. But Riley's gonna be if we go in twenty twenty eight, she's gonna be Well we are going. Okay, well If yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I get what you're saying. I understand w what you're saying without saying it. But we're still going in twenty twenty eight. I think so. Okay. I mean even if we Yeah, I don't know. Okay. You can still go and but that's what you said. You said if you go next year you do a small trip and then but we were supposed to skip a year. Okay. Then skip next year. Mmm. My biggest thing is that it's don't worry to be so old, but That's why you also need to like just do a universal. She'd enjoy it. It is for more older kids. Enjoy Universal? They have good rides. I know. I know what I like. Yeah, she was talking about what she wanted from Albeck Steakhouse on the phone, in the bathroom stall, for everyone to hear very loudly. Not even trying to be quiet. Woman in the airport. Shout out. Alright, anything for Dreamline Valley? they just announced the new companion for Keepsick Seeds. what is it? You want to try to guess? Okay. I don't know. I wish. it says bright feathers, a friendly nature, and a love for flowers. Outline. Another bird? Yeah. It's a toucan. I don't like birds. Yeah, they're not my favorite. I thought it'd be an underwater companion. I guess because Dory's our underwater companion. I don't know either. I mean a lot of it still seems like it's not underwater. You just have the option to go underwater. Correct. I don't know. So then I guess if they're with you they'll have that bubble. Any companion that they said they said characters would, but I True I don't know about companions. I don't know. Guess we'll find out on November eighteenth. That's a Wednesday, right? Everything's usually yeah. And I think the kids go to school that Friday, unfortunately. Friday before Thanksgiving, s they go to school. They do? I did check the calendar about that. I know. I did check the calendar a couple of days ago 'cause I was wondering. Yeah, there's not a lot since they did the big showcase. And we talked about it. And we talked about it. Yep. it I'm still trying to decide if I want do that the twitch drops thing thingy to get this cute little crocodile yeah but maybe all right well let's recap our trip okay we left super early yeah Thursday morning And when we got we did. We did. And I am too, because when we got to Caribbean Beach, we went ahead and we went straight to chicken and they got us a room. Which I was like very surprised. I thought we were gonna have to keep our stuff. You have to remember though. I've done it at Pop Century though. And had to wait? Yeah. Well, I don't know. I just when we went in J June we had there was a group of five of us and we had a suite, not just a regular room. So there were less of them, right? And they take longer to clean. Turn over on it. So I wasn't surprised I guess I wasn't surpr I mean it did seem to take a while, but anyway. But yeah, it was nice. It was nice. We love I loved that resort. Mm-hmm. Absolutely loved it. I love the vibe of it. I loved the lobby. I loved walking around. It felt like a resort, Saratoga Springs to me, I was reflecting. Felt like an apartment complex almost. Like not a resort. Yeah. This one felt like a resort. Yeah. Which maybe that's what it's supposed to feel like in a D V C, but we went to a couple of D V C places and it didn't feel the same way. Maybe that was just Saratoga Springs. Maybe I don't know. So yeah, we got to Caribbean Beach, we ate lunch, where I tried my first chicken strip, Buffalo Ranch. Which one's delicious? And those were also good. Okay. Yeah, they had a good quick service little restaurant. we went back and recorded the pod. Go back and listen. You did a fresh pin. yeah, I did my first pin pull. Mm-hmm. Pin ripping. I don't know. ripping packs like Joe Jonas all weekend. I did. There was five. Five. Yeah. I did five. That'll be six on Friday. Total. Yeah, I'm gonna try and figure out a way to record that if people actually listen to my instructions. because that'll be like a pin pull and like a trading little thing. Right. That'd be cute to record. And just have their little voices in the background. So yeah, I did my first pin pin pull, we recorded the podcast, and then we changed and went to the boardwalk. Yep. Right? Yep. No, we went to Disney. no, we went Disney Spring Springs first. Yeah, we went to We went to Disney Springs. We went to Gideon's. Did we just go to Gideon's? We walked through World of Disney. Mm-hmm. And the pin trading store. that was our first pin trading. With the lady, right? Yeah, the lady didn't want to Yeah, she didn't want to trade with us. So yeah, we went to Gideon's and we got the Andes Cookies and Cream cake. Which was delicious. I had some of it today in my lunch and it was still delicious. So love him. We also we also did six ravens. Yes. Which was not as delicious. No. The so we got just the regular cheese coffin, but it came with a tomato basil dip. Yeah. Which that was delicious. W yeah, it was. That part was Yes. That was the most delicious. but the coffin itself, like and the ja the tomato jam inside of it was good. Yeah. But the coffin itself, the cheese wasn't pulley, it wasn't super hot, wasn't I don't think I'd go back to purposefully get that coffin. You said you wanted to try the hamburger one. Yeah. I honestly don't remember what other ones there were. There weren't a lot of them, that's for sure. but so we did that, and then we went to World of Disney, and then we went to the Pintraders. And we saw two pins. This loop this older woman was trading her pins. And I saw two that little Missy on the floor here would have wanted. And they were pirates. No, no, no. It was a little mermaid castle and one of the other castles she wanted. I can't remember. And so she wouldn't trade. Yeah. Then we went to go buy some pins to see if I could get anything that she wanted. And she had left. But that's okay. Cause pin trading on Saturday was the best. So then after that we went to we went back to the resort, dropped off our stuff, and then we went to the boardwalk. And I really liked the vibe of the boardwalk. Yeah. We saw what did we see? Well, we walked around for a bit. Mm-hmm. We saw the quartet. Yes. Yes. Barbershop quartet. Yeah. walked through the boardwalk gift shop. Mm-hmm. Or the I guess the resort gift shop. Yeah, that was that was the board boardwalk in resort gift shop. Which that would be my only complaint. as someone staying in that resort. Is that the only gift shop and the only Quick service is also just along the boardwalk for but I mean everything we know that for sure. Is there not something I looked away at I looked online? I'm sure they have like other small little quick services. ever and everything's open to the public. If we went to Spyglass Girl and we were staying at Saratoga Springs, everything's open to the public, but it's public facing when it's on the boardwalk. Right. That's my There's definitely more people coming there versus going to Spy Bus. Yes. Yeah. Which I don't know why they would do that, but cher waffles for the way. That's how I kinda felt thinking about beach and yacht too. Because it is so cl I mean, you get off the Skyliner and just walk over there. So like anyone going to Epcot or whatever. Boardwalk is more of a hot. it's it's more of a it's like a mini Disney Springs. people look at the boardwalk as something to do. Right. They don't look at Beach Club Yacht and Beach Club as something to do. Right. 'Cause you also can't get in the pool. Right. Unless that's your resort you're staying at. Right. So But I would think there'd probably be more traffic over there than maybe some other resorts. Yeah, maybe. Maybe. Just 'cause you could get ice cream. Yeah. Or anything. True. Yeah. yeah. So Boredo, what else do we finally landed on food. Yes. We just did their quick service. I had a ham and cheese croissant, wasn't my favorite. It was just it was okay. You had a salad. We were exhausted. And then we still went to Hurley Burley's, which if we would have known so they do trivia from four to nine, I feel like that would have been something we would have tried to get to earlier. Earlier, right. But we didn't know. I think what you saw just said nine. So we were like, I saw family friendly activities before. Like that that's all it said. It didn't tell us what it was. And then it said after nine is ever changing entertainment, adult entertainment. Now they what they didn't do is because I was clocking a family in the corner, they weren't kicking that family out. No. But I'm sure they weren't accepting new people with kids after nine PM. It wasn't like when we say adult entertainment it was not No. I think they just want more of a you know, more of an adult vibe after they just want adults to have a place. I think all the bars layer that way. I think the Trader Scenes is too it was for nine. Yeah. So yeah, so we did that. We stayed we had a little bit of trivia. We saw the Sirens. The American Sirens. The American Sirens. They were pretty good. This cute little place. I love the theming. It felt like you were on the boardwalk in the twenties or thirties. It was very like is they did a good job. Mm-hmm. They did a good job. And then we were like, we probably could have eaten here. We saw someone get food and it looked it smelled amazing. Really good. Meatballs. Yeah. I think is what I smelled. Yeah. But so for next time. But it was I would get a different drink. Yeah. I love mine. I but I've learned I learned that at Beacon Barrel. Mm-hmm. I learned you get the non alcoholic drink that sounds good and just ask them to add rum. Right. It's a little bit cheaper. And it ha I have the palate of a child. So it all works out. Well I thought I didn't read mine enough, I don't think. I just read I saw tequila and then Yeah. Didn't 'cause you wanted the margarita. went right past the spicy part and my there was a margarita place on the boardwalk that you were like, Yeah, that's what I would have wanted. Mm-hmm. And you probably could have grabbed it and walked it in. Probably. So it's okay. So yeah, so then we went back to the resort. We had to wait month pr not a pretty long skyline or line. It looked we caught the end of it. Or it looked long but it moved quick. Yeah, we caught the end of it for sure. Yeah. And then we went back to the the resort. I think we f officially decided that it was not an updated room. Mm-hmm You could definitely tell by the bathroom. Yeah. Well, was the it was was it gross? No, it wasn't gross. It was just older. You could just tell it was older. Yeah. And then I think we also could tell like the AC was kinda rowdy and then there was still a ceiling fan and it wasn't as sound insulated. Mm-hmm. We had some little feet running above us. A lot. and then what we do the next morning? We slept until I don't know like eight ish. A decent amount of time. We got ready and we went to go get Lady Joel waffles She gets it. She gets it. They were delicious. They are delicious. They are delicious. we ran into not like we ran into a lot of runners. We saw a lot of runners all weekend. it still wasn't as like crowded though as I thought it would have been. So that was nice. yeah, yeah. But I wonder if that's the resort we were staying at. Maybe. 'Cause I still felt I still felt like the park was a little Yeah. And not like the rides and stuff, but the congestion within the park. And not even while we were watching the s like the entertainment. It was more walking through fantasy land, honestly, was what I thought. But see the most. What time was that? What time did we go through fantasy land? 'Cause everybody would have been out by six, right? Yeah. Around six. We went out. It was after seven. I don't know. okay anyways, we got off little subject. So after Spyglass Grill, did we go straight to Beach Club? Mm-hmm. I wanna say yes too. We just got a kid's meal. We each split we each had one one waffle. Sure waffle because we wanted it, but we also had lunch reservations. Yep. At I made lunch reservations at Beaches and Creams soda shop, which is a like a fifties diner at Yacht and Beach Club. Because they have a lot of good desserts. And this one here has a pretty big sweet tooth. So That'd be a good idea. And we walked around Beach Club for a little bit. I really liked it. I liked the vibes of it a lot. their pool was had like a water slide. It was like really cool. Yeah. And no it wasn't a pirate ship water slide. No. We took the whole trip without you. We didn't go down the water slide. No. Yeah, 'cause you don't go on outside I can go down a water slide. he wouldn't it could be for kids only. Yeah, I said it should have said kids only. Well we didn't check. But we weren't staying there, so couldn't have done it anyway. Yeah, they don't let you in the pool unless you're staying there. that's fair. I know. yeah, had a good lunch. We shared a French tip. Yep. Which I wasn't super impressed with the bread, but the actual like roast beef to me was really good. but the bread was just subpar. But the what was delicious were the tots. Bacon cheese tots. Yeah, that cheese. The cheese sauce was something we couldn't figure out. It almost was like it had the consistency of like beer cheese. It was like so creamy. Yeah, but it didn't have the taste. No. no. It was good. It was so good. It was those were delicious. And then f for dessert Know why you thought we were gonna get that kitchens. my god. Hey, if you wanted it. No. You saw them bring it out. They have this thing called a kitchen sink, and it's like how many scoops of ice cream? I don't know. It feeds they do a whole thing though, and they're like eight scoop I think it's eight scoops of ice cream. Something about toppings, all the toppings they have, a whole can of whipped cream and cherries. And it comes out in a literal sink. Yeah. Ew. Well it's not a like a used kitchen sink. Big bowl that looks like a sink. Yeah. Okay, well that's better than I said I said you guys would love it. yeah. Y'all would have lost your minds. But we opted for the mudslaw. Slightly smaller yeah. Yeah, which was still huge. Yeah, it really was. It was in like this huge wine glass that could probably fit two whole bottles of wine. It was three scoops of ice cream and a brownie whipped cream and a cherry on top. Hot fudge. And hot that hot fudge was so good. That was good. But that was good. We obviously didn't finish it. No. But it was delicious. We made ourselves sickly. Four pants. then from there we bust over to Magic Kingdom. And we walked around, we got on the monorail, and we went to the Polynesian because one thing we wanted to try, and we've been wanting to try was Trader Sam's. Yep. And we finally did it. We got on the wait list, and that is a new must-do for me every trip. Like it the theming was. That was one of the highlights, honestly. Yeah. Yeah. The theming was like a hundred and ten. Yep. The the s the cast members were a hundred and ten. the drink was delicious. We got the on the floor. We got the Aoa. Aowa. Aoa. Which comes in a volcano cup, which we could have bought. Mm-hmm. I thought about it. and it had a whole show with it. Yep. And the person next to us ordered it right before us and it like You're supposed to it's on fire and you're supposed to put the cinnamon in and the fire gets bigger and then the rain the sprinklers come on and it's like rain to let the volcano go out. Well, I guess I don't know if we ordered it too close together or if she was just being a funny cast member. Lindy didn't realize Well I no, because I sprayed you with the water bottle. They sprayed us with a water bottle. I thought that she was spraying them too. No. I mean I felt but I felt water. Yeah. Okay. So it was coming from spraying. No, I think it's because she didn't want to do it again or they can't like they have to reset something. I don't I couldn't tell you. But I thought it was so funny. She was like, no, it's not raining. And she just started screaming. I thought then why okay, but if she knew I don't know, she already had the spray bottle. You know what I mean? Yeah but when she brought out the thing, so she knew it wasn't gonna rain. Right. She yeah. When she brought out ours, she knew it wasn't gonna rain. Maybe there's something we can like a secret little thing we can look up about that. And then we w Yeah. I don't know. It was hilarious though. It was so much fun. I feel like a cat. Or she or she saw me setting up all my cameras and she was like, Okay, let me do this. But we learned there was quite a few there's quite a few other little ready of Jessica on the She did. no, it's raining. my gosh. Once I get all the videos like uploaded, I'm gonna make a reel about Trader Sands because it was so good. Well you should put just face on it. I should. but a bunch of almost every drink had some sort of mini show to it. Yeah. we learned some tricks about certain drinks and if you order from certain places and Pele and so and then what the guy in front of who the couple who sat down after us, they were sitting across from us, they must be really Disney like history freaks because Pele who one of the tiki rooms burned down at some point. I think it was the Disneyland one. Okay. And they had salvaged Pele, who was like, I don't even know. I'm not a tiki room person, so it's not s for me. Big decoration in the Yeah, they salvaged it and it was in storage for all these years, and then when they made Trader Sam's, they were like, Okay, well let's put her up. So But weren't wasn't he saying there's already a Trader Sam's? So there's a Trader Sam's at Disneyland and it's bigger. Yeah, okay. And it's doing so well they decided to put it. But they didn't know the reaction to it to Disney World, which is why it's in a smaller area. Now I wonder Who wouldn't love that? Honestly. Right. Like I think the biggest issue is like Disneyland's always been geared to adult local adults. Mm. Disney World's always been geared towards families. So they've started they've slowly started introducing more and more bars. Like beacon barrel on. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. So Yeah. I'm sorry, I got distracted. So they have the patio. Mm-hmm. Which I wonder if you get the same treatment. It's obviously not the same theming because the inside that room is Right. You can't really duplicate that again. So but I wonder if you get the same like drink treatment. Probably. I'm sure. Maybe that's what they had this the spray bottles for. Ooh. They took those outside. Yeah. You can't get the The rain effect. my gosh. So but that was fun. It was fair. We were a little I could have Yeah it's said for two people, but you're I feel like I drank most of it 'cause you're I feel like I drank a lot. Okay, well maybe we I don't know. But it tasted like pineapple juice, guys, so we just with rum in it. Just kept drinking. And then we had to stand out. That is one thing I would change. I would not like to do that and then stand out in the heat for an hour waiting to get into a party. Yeah. It was hot. And I was like a little dehydrated at that point. Well, she also didn't bring a water bottle, so that's no, you're right. But but but still. It was hot. it was hot. it was a little toasty around that time. Other than that, that was Yeah, we didn't it was really good weather. so we got to the park entrance around three, people were already there. saw some pretty good costumes, if I do say so myself. yeah, I like the Nels Kazowski one that they glued a soxes back. Yeah. You told her about that one? Yeah. They said? Yeah. Yeah. He was that was a good one. I told them my my favorite though was the little Jafar. my gosh, we could the whole family. Someone was Jeannie. The mom was Jeannie, which I thought that was clever. She booked it to guest services. I don't know if something was going on. So mom was Jeannie, dad was Aladdin, daughter was Jasmine. They had a little baby Abu, and then the son. I didn't see that. Yeah, well, he was in the stroller stroller. Like you had I'm a creeper. You had to be creeping. And then the son was Jafar. I was Jafar. Cute. They paid they did a little mustache on everything. It was it was adorable. The costumes, I mean, the family on the in front of us on the monorail were the little baby he was, Zerg Zerg. And then you had Buzz and Jesse and Bo Peep. Yep. I didn't see Woody. or was it Woody and not Jesse? I don't know. I don't know. They were missing someone. And then the grandma was Mr. Potato Head of the Mr Pot. Maybe Mrs. May maybe Mrs. Potato Head. And I was like, that's how extra I'm gonna be. And you bet, you bet. I know Sandra's gonna go for it, but I don't know about my dad. That'd be a funny one. He would. yeah, he would. James was telling me last night, he goes, If you have a child and y'all are going to Disney, he's there. He's not gonna, you know. Stay the whole stay the whole day, but he's there. I was like, okay, that's fair. Yeah, it was fun to say all those Yeah. So we went in, they did the same thing, they shuffle you to the right. I have the video on the the the Osmo camera, I don't have it on my phone, of the guy and the the little fortune teller guy, I guess is what he was. he saw Lindy and he was like, It's your birthday and then he made everybody say happy birthday to her. That was fun. I got that on video and then we Took a picture with the grave, what are they called? The grave diggers? Yeah. Okay, we took a picture with the gravediggers. they had some good theming right. I don't know. I they I feel like the character interactions, even just those couple things, made the Halloween party a lot better than the Christmas party. Mm-hmm. You know? Yeah. So but they had a lot of like right when you entered Yeah, the things they had the w is she called the singing lady? From Haunted Mansion? Some lady Constant from Haunted Mansion. Constantine is her name. I don't know. A bride, I don't know. Yeah, she was good. So we got in. What did we do after that? I got Starbucks. yeah, we went to Starbucks. Caffeine yes. Yep. We went to Starbucks. Gross. And my mom probably got a Grande Javanoka, huh? I sure did. All the time, all the time. Okay. Dun dun dun gun. Okay. You'll understand one day. So we did that. We did that and we took our castle pictures, which was fun. I got in line for that. Well I went and I think I did a I got pins too. I went and got pins and then I got in line for that. we took our castle pictures and then we went under one of those arches. Mm-hmm. 'Cause I've always wanted to do that and that's where I did another pin pull and we took a couple more pictures, which that was fun. Those pictures turned out cute. There's gonna be a photo pass person there one day. There should be. Because people are just gonna keep going there for pictures. It's a good little like framing with the arch and the castle. It's really nice. Yep. Then did we just go get our egg rolls? Yeah. Okay. Yep, we did. Okay, we got our egg rolls. It was a long line. Was a long line. We didn't look for line. No no no no no. No no no. Here's what happened. I guess I didn't even actually tell you. I was gonna go around like the hub area and just take like video for content. Okay. And then there was no line for the popcorn bucket. And I said, Well, I guess cause I wasn't I was like, I'm probably not gonna get it because they're gonna be a line. And then I like, guess this is my sign to get the headless horseman popcorn bucket. Worst decision of the house. my gosh. I that thing gave me so much trouble all night. It wouldn't stay latched and then the hook from the strap wouldn't stay on its little hooky thingy and it kept falling. I was over it. It was too much stuff for me. Yeah. So yeah. But he's cute. That's why I don't buy things that are big. Okay, girl. A kill. Not for me. Okay. So we waited in line you waited in line. I had my popcorn. We got our egg rolls. We went to go eat next to a squirrel. And what? Yep. Yep. We so as we were I went to go take your food. No. As I went to go take content, I like, I never realized there were tables over here. So I was like, this is a perfect place for us to eat. There was no one there. Ten minutes later. Ten minutes later, no tables. So we just sat on the ledge. Yep. Ate our delicious egg rolls. Ten out of ten as always. No notes. And then I think we went to ride Well, we went to go try to ride Space Mountain. Right. But apparently don't change everything over till six thirty. the overlay. The overlay till six thirty. the Seven dwarfs Mind Train had a low weight. Yes. That's right. So we went to go do that one 'cause I don't like waiting for that one, but I do like writing that one. waited for a little bit, but it wasn't too bad. No. Tea cups after that. No, we did then we did Space Mountain? Then I think we did Space Mountain. Which I don't know if I'll do that again. Space Mountain? Yep. And nope, didn't like it. Did pitch black? Didn't like the pitch black. Did not. I barely like Space Mountain on a good day. Did not like it in the pitch black. I wish we would have recorded. I was just dying laughing the whole time. Because I heard you behind you. I did not like how dark it was at all. That would have been a good one to record. But yeah, so probably It was really dark. So I'm not doing that overlay again. I'll do regular Space Mountain over that. then we realized I lost my magic band. Yeah. As we were getting off the ride. Unsure if we lost it on Seven Dwarfs or Space Mountain. You like look down to tap and you're like my gosh. Yeah. That started off the night of me losing things. But we did get a picture with the Queen of Hearts. And then we went on to Which I never saw by the way. We probably should have checked on that one too. I think that was the first one that was in. We had a card for that one. And then after that they were like, you can scan it as long as your ticket's in your wallet. So approach it. If you download your ticket to your wallet, you can scan it. But I guess 'cause as soon as I said I bought the day pass, because they asked you and I was like, Well, I bought the day pass, they were like, No. Yeah. So I guess that's also the thing. If we had if I had bought it under our reservation, you should be able to tap. But since I just bought the day pass, I was the only one able to tap, I guess. my gosh! That's what they did with the pumpkin. Why are my eyes closed? Why are your eyes closed? Cause that is so cute. Look. It's a it's a mag magic shot. It's blurry. I can't get the camera to focus. Chippendale. I'll put two pictures in because your your eyes are open on the other ones. Also, this one, we like we killed that one. Sorry, I pulled it up to look for the evil queen, but we killed that one. That one was great. She said You really locked in. Yeah, we do. Because they look spooky or something. I can't remember exactly what she said. these are good. Okay. I haven't I haven't looked at the magic shots, but these are good. Yeah, our Queen of Hearts is there. Okay. So So I guess I just yeah, you haven't uploaded. No, not to our shared album. No no no. Yeah. I have not, 'cause I stopped. Especially once I realized I didn't have a magic lamp. And I was like, for me. Soccer of hearts got on the mad tea party and I tried to do the Taylor Swift thing. The Wonderland song. but didn't work out well. Then after that, we tried to go ride Haunted Mansion, and it was a 40 minute wait. Bang. Right? I just like Haunted Mansion. You've never ridden it. I think you would like it if you it's really fun. But the Haunted Mansion. The one that goes up and down? No, that's Guardians of the Galaxy. Tower Tower of Terror. Yeah, Tower of Terror. I don't like that one. Yeah, I know. Mine had to go and once my dad was holding a stranger's hand, then he was like, What are you doing? And he was like, Well that was that had to have been the Guardians one because you didn't you and Daddy didn't do the one, the Tower of Terrors. I did Guardians with you. No. No, you did Guardians with me and I had to hold your little legs down because your butt kept coming off the seat. So I was trying with all my might to hold you down. Why? It it was hard. It was it's such a fun ride though. That's fun. It was hard. Yeah. Well, maybe you'll try it again. Now that you're older. Maybe. Maybe not. But but me and my dad told me it just goes Yeah, I'm sure you yeah. Alright. Need that for a sound effect. Sure do. I'll try and clip it. So we went to Pirates. Yep. We got Dole Whip. Which was like a walk on, which was nice. Yeah. I got something to eat. I got the ungar undead the garlic undead chicken strips, which were not my fave. Yeah. So the garlic just didn't taste garlicky, honestly. Tasted fake. So then we went to ride Pirates. The faker the better. Okay. And then we get to ride Jungle Cruise, which I never get to ride because people don't like that ride, and I think it's hilarious. It was good. We had a good skipper. We had a good skipper. And I think he was able to like joke around more because there was no one in line. Right. So there was a lot more like pre show jokes, mm-hmm, which was him just riffing and it was just it was good. after that did we walk back to Haunted Mansion? Mmm. Cause we said it was a cause on the app it's at 13 minute wait and that's normally haunted mansion speak for walk-on. Right. We did. And it was not a 13 minute wait. It was really long. Yeah. Yeah. So then what did we do? Did we just head back over to the I think so? And waited for the show. Well we tried to figure out what we were gonna eat for a little bit. right. And then you I got corndog bites. And you got Ironically, I ended up with chicken. Yep. But they were good. They were like Asian. Yeah. Like a spicy chili something. And if I would I would have tried a bite, but I was just too full. So and then we sh saw the fireworks show, which is always fantastic. Then we moved up, waited a little bit, saw saw the stage show, then had the one bad cast member interaction of the weekend. Which wasn't even us. What the hell? Yeah. Yeah. And then watched The parade. Which was again fantastic. Yep. so we did talk about this a little bit on the trip, but if you had to rank stage show, parade, and fireworks show, what are you ranking? Battle show. This trip would be what did I say? Parade. Mm-hmm. Fireworks, stage show. Okay. Mm-hmm. And I think I would switch the line. I think I would say Parade state show fireworks. Okay. Because I fireworks to me just I mean, it doesn't hit me in my feels like happily ever after does. No, I yeah. I'll agree with that. So and the state show, I don't know, it's just so fun. the Sanderson sisters, they do such a good job with it. and then after that, we went shopping? Or did we go to Photo Pass to try and find our missing We went f no, we went to Haunted Mansion. yeah, we went straight to Haunted Mansion and it was essentially a walk-on. It was a walk on. Yeah, because they were asking to ride it. Yeah, and they were holding up the Doom buggies. Mm-hmm. That like when we walked in the Doom Buggies weren't even moving. I forgot about that. So yeah, saw Haunted Mansion. Then we did the pictures after Haunted Mansion, which they got there were some other ones in there, I haven't really looked, but those were good too. Then we went shopping. And then took some more nighttime pictures. Actually we did shopping before we settled down at the hub. yeah. Right? 'Cause I got you got the chart you got yeah, and the tug bag. The bag for the headless horseman. Yeah. yeah. But yeah, we did we we did a little more shopping. You were contemplating whether to buy the popcorn there was one boy you said that didn't want to treat his Percy Jackson or the Pirates one. Percy Jackson. Yeah, and there was a boy that a young boy that you traded the Olaf one for a chaser. Over Punzo macaroon chaser, yep. Yeah, I wanted that. Well, I have one and then there's one extra one. So we'll see what happens when we trade on Friday. Your sister also needed it, so we'll see. We tried all my pins for just one back home. yeah? That's not a good trade, sweetheart. It is for me. I don't how a chaser. Wait, what was the other chaser you had? The Maleficent Bus. I wanted that. So did your sister. You're not No, that's mine. Hate to burst your bubble. Well, next time all we're going, I'm bringing all my pins in on Twitter. That's fine. That's the point. You better and you And you better save your money so you can buy pin packs too. Twenty five dollars for two pins. I know. Overprice? I only have two dollars for the four ferry. But yeah, but it's not two parry. But it's because you don't save your money. It's probably because I spend on cool stuff and better stuff than y'all pins. Okay, so then don't complain about it. Hey, there's a pool that is like probably this size. Okay, girl. It's like We gotta finish up. We're almost done. Okay. Almost it's three dollars. then Yeah, that was pretty much it though, right? We left after that. we we stayed in line for that last picture. We were also one of the last ones to do that one. I don't know, it was nice to see it at night. Yeah. It was pretty late and it was pretty empty. Mm-hmm. And they were pretty good about k keeping people out of certain parts of the park. Yeah. They had people stationed. So yeah, it was nice. Went back to the resort, went to sleep, slept in pretty pretty late. Alm almost late enough. Yeah. We didn't get our we were we couldn't mobile order our Mickey waffles. Right. So we had to go book it. We were like ten minutes until eleven o'clock. We got our own order of our Mickey waffles again. We went back so it it's was ten o'clock when it was eleven there. Because it's one hour before. Yeah. When it was eleven there it's ten here. Yeah. Yeah. That's nice. then we went back to the room, kinda cleaned up, went to go do the bell services, left our luggage, checked our luggage. Then we went back to Disney Springs. Yep. We went to Gideon's again, which they were it was what, twelve thirty when we got there, and they were already sold out of the peanut butter tart. Yep. But we got What did we get? We got in a virtual queue. yeah. Showed back up around two thirty. Yeah. Ended up getting I got two slices of cake. I got the Valentina, which was like a red velvet with like what do they call it? A mushmo marshmallow cookies and cream, buttercream or something like that. And then a key lime pie cake. Was it good? Because that's the one I didn't try. It's like it's so good. It's very the buttercream is very Limey it it's got a kick. Alright, alright. Yeah, see me. And then and I got I got cookie cake. yeah, you got your cookie. I got the just like the Halloween cake. It wasn't fancy. It's just chocolate with chocolate buttercream and MMs. And then I got the two hot October cookies, which are double stuffed Oreo cookies. One's a blonde, one's a regular Oreo. And it's not like an Oreo. It just tastes like an Oreo. Okay. But it's there's not an Oreo in it. Okay. And it's good. It's pretty good. Didn't you get another cookie? yeah, my normal cookies and cream cookie. Okay. In case anyone was wondering, I like Oreos. What else we do? Disney Springs. We went to Starbucks. We went shop. Did we go shopping again? Yeah. We didn't buy anything. No. Well, you bought more pins. Of course. We did pin. We that's when we really traded. Yeah. There was a lot of people out. They were trading a lot. It was we got some I got some good trades in. Really like what I really wanted to see and what I think I'd see more at Epcot for sure. and Then we ate at the Polite Pig. Yep. Which was delicious. It was. And then we went back to the resort and we said goodbye to Mickey. Sad. But was a good trip. It was a good trip. We got a lot of new things. And you said people were stomping like this. Yes, there were kids above us. Yes. That's why I hate grown up I mean, if was an adult and kids were above, that would be annoying because kids always stomp like me. I'm like, I don't wire back my head. Stomp, stomp, stomp.
