Speaker 1: There were some cars that I saw on the news.
• 1:38
Speaker 1: Ooh, they did not look good at all.
• 1:40
Speaker 1: No, especially the big trees coming out of them.
• 1:43
Speaker 1: Brick wall came down on one.
• 1:44
Speaker 1: Not look good at all, no, especially the big trees coming out of them.
• 1:43
Speaker 1: Brick wall came down on one.
• 1:43
  Speaker 1: Yeah it's.
• 1:46
Speaker 1: You know it was ugly out there.
• 1:47
Speaker 1: So, anyway, I got the 2024 Ford Mustang Dark Horse that we're going to talk about, so it's going to be really good, all right.
• 1:56
Speaker 1: Well, I see that Mr Mars has rounded up a guest.
• 2:01
Speaker 2: Whether they like it or not.
• 2:02
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 2:08
Speaker 4: So go ahead, mr morris.
• 2:09
Speaker 3: So d has got this bright red porsche setting right out here.
• 2:12
Speaker 2: Guards red, guards red.
• 2:13
Speaker 2: Yes, sir, excuse me, absolutely, we had a picture of it right out there yeah, yeah, it's that bright red one that they're on the screen.
• 2:20
Speaker 3: So anyway, thought we'd kind of figure out uh, tell us about the Porsche, your Porsche and Porsche in general, I guess.
• 2:28
Speaker 4: So this is a 2019 GTS Carrera 4.
• 2:34
Speaker 4: So it is an all-wheel drive vehicle with PDK and the twin turbo, 3 liter and center-lock wheels and some of the other options.
• 2:53
Speaker 4: You know it's got the chrono package on it.
• 2:55
Speaker 4: I do have a sunroof on it, a fully retractable sunroof, which is really nice.
• 3:02
Speaker 4: I've had John do the front end and the hood and one of the accents.
• 3:13
Speaker 4: It's got all carbon trim on the mirrors and on all the details on the inside, which is a really, really nice look for the car, particularly up against that red.
• 3:25
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, yeah, it really stands out.
• 3:27
Speaker 4: I really like it.
• 3:29
Speaker 3: So is it a manual?
• 3:30
  Speaker 4: or automatic.
• 3:31
Speaker 3: No, it's an automatic.
• 3:33
  Speaker 4: Seven-speed PDK.
• 3:34
  Speaker 4: Pdk.
• 3:35
Speaker 4: Yeah, okay, I can't speak it in German, but it is.
• 3:41
Speaker 4: Pdk is in German.
• 3:45
Speaker 3: Yeah, that's what I was going to say.
• 3:46
Speaker 4: It's about a foot long when you speak it in German.
• 3:48
Speaker 4: Okay, this is my third Porsche and I had a huge gap between number one and number two and number three.
• 4:02
Speaker 4: It's called wedding bells.
• 4:05
  Speaker 4: So I had an 85 and a half 944.
• 4:12
Speaker 4: And then, believe it or not, on our wedding day I traded that for a 1990 Turbo 944.
• 4:23
Speaker 4: On your wedding day a wedding present.
• 4:25
Speaker 3: On your wedding day A wedding present.
• 4:27
Speaker 4: On my wedding day and that's what we drove away from the church in to go on our honeymoon.
• 4:32
Speaker 3: Well, that's the way to do it.
• 4:35
Speaker 4: It didn't live too long at the house.
• 4:37
Speaker 4: And it got sold.
• 4:40
  Speaker 3: Oh well.
• 4:41
Speaker 3: And you know, life went on.
• 4:43
  Speaker 3: Yep, life happens.
• 4:48
Speaker 4: Well, when the new Porsche dealership here in sugarland opened, uh, I went up there because I live in sugarland, I'd watched the dealership being built and I went up on their pre-owned showroom floor and I saw that car and I went home to my wife and I said I found it, I've got to have that car.
• 5:09
Speaker 4: And so I took her up and showed it to her and she said just get it, get it over with, just get it.
• 5:20
Speaker 4: And I said done, and so it's, it's found a new home.
• 5:26
Speaker 4: Very good, yeah, I really really like it.
• 5:30
Speaker 3: yeah, I really like it I like the way it looks, particularly that red color setting out there between the black and that other yeah, it's interesting that when you go to the dealerships you don't see too many guards red cars anymore.
• 5:44
Speaker 4: There there are a lot of the silvers and blacks, you're right, and the dark blues, but for some reason I think what's been nicknamed as Arrest Me Red.
• 5:55
Speaker 1: Yes, Give me a ticket.
• 5:58
Speaker 1: Red has kind of fallen by the side.
• 6:00
Speaker 1: There's a nice red one back there.
• 6:02
Speaker 4: Oh yeah, that's a real classic.
• 6:05
Speaker 4: That thing is super.
• 6:06
Speaker 4: You ever driven one of those?
• 6:09
  Speaker 4: I have never driven an air-cooled 911.
• 6:14
Speaker 4: No, sir, that would be interesting.
• 6:18
Speaker 4: Yeah, I would really like to.
• 6:20
Speaker 4: So, is this a daily driver for you?
• 6:22
  Speaker 4: It can be.
• 6:24
Speaker 4: Actually, I have a minivan that John wrapped for me oh yeah.
• 6:34
Speaker 4: He's not admitting it, and so that's more of my daily driver.
• 6:39
Speaker 4: But this gets driven, believe me.
• 6:42
Speaker 4: I found some nice back roads here in Fort Bend and Brazoria County That'll work.
• 6:52
Speaker 2: I've put it in sport mode a couple times there you go, need to head out to the Brookshire area and all that.
• 6:57
Speaker 2: Fulshire and Brookshire, all that good driving stuff.
• 7:01
Speaker 4: I'd like to get a bunch of guys from the club to go up to Twisted Sisters and do Twisted Sisters again.
• 7:08
Speaker 3: But you have been there.
• 7:09
Speaker 4: I've been up there, Not in that car but I've been on Twisted Sisters on a bicycle.
• 7:16
Speaker 3: On a bicycle, yeah.
• 7:18
Speaker 4: I'm a cyclist from a long time ago.
• 7:22
Speaker 3: Very cool, yeah, motorcycles.
• 7:24
Speaker 3: I've heard people cool, yeah, motorcycles.
• 7:26
Speaker 3: I've heard people going up there with motorcycles, but I haven't heard of the bicycle yet.
• 7:32
Speaker 4: If you find a good downhill run, you know like the best I've done up there.
• 7:36
Speaker 4: So a little over 50 miles an hour coming down.
• 7:40
Speaker 1: My bicycle experience is one with a motor on it.
• 7:43
Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, nothing wrong with that.
• 7:46
Speaker 4: Don't look at me that way.
• 7:47
Speaker 3: Morris, no, I'm thinking, that's me.
• 7:49
Speaker 2: He still has it in his garage.
• 7:53
Speaker 1: It was a motor bike that I built Back in the 60's.
• 7:56
Speaker 1: You built your own.
• 7:58
  Speaker 4: Yeah, lawnmower motor.
• 8:01
Speaker 1: Uh huh, edger, motor actually.
• 8:04
Speaker 4: So it was two cycle.
• 8:06
Speaker 1: No, no, no, it was a four cycle Briggs and Stratton.
• 8:08
Speaker 1: Huh, yeah, you know, recoil, pull start thing on it.
• 8:15
Speaker 1: Yep, yeah, yeah, I built my own and it was.
• 8:18
Speaker 1: I think it was a 20-inch bike, small bike.
• 8:26
Speaker 2: And I had the sissy bar on it, the banana seat, some ape hangers on it, so I'm mistaken.
• 8:28
  Speaker 2: What was it?
• 8:28
Speaker 2: What was it that you showed me a while ago that it wasn't that bike?
• 8:30
Speaker 2: You built something else, or was it that?
• 8:32
Speaker 1: no, it was that was that that was it.
• 8:34
Speaker 1: It's in pieces but it's all there.
• 8:36
Speaker 1: I took it apart with the intent of getting the frame fixed, because it's been busted a couple of times because of the weight of my fat butt and so it didn't at the time.
• 8:53
Speaker 1: Of course, you know, I was in middle school when I built the thing and it could use a little help on the frame aspect of it, but it works.
• 9:03
Speaker 4: Did you weld your own frame?
• 9:05
  Speaker 1: I did not.
• 9:06
  Speaker 4: You did not.
• 9:08
Speaker 1: No, I did not.
• 9:09
Speaker 1: I bolted on the motor mount, bolted it on with U-bolts to the frame and had a centrifugal clutch and a V-belt that went back to the back wheel and it worked just fine.
• 9:23
Speaker 1: Get it up to 30, 35 miles an hour.
• 9:26
Speaker 4: Yeah, and on something like that, 35 miles an hour feels like you're flying.
• 9:30
  Speaker 1: Yeah, it does.
• 9:31
Speaker 2: It does Especially that age of a kid too.
• 9:34
Speaker 1: Absolutely yeah, and I was.
• 9:36
Speaker 1: I was flying, I rode that thing everywhere Pretty well bulletproof what.
• 9:41
Speaker 1: At that age you're pretty well bulletproof.
• 9:48
Speaker 1: You think absolutely no helmet, nothing, right moron.
• 9:49
Speaker 1: But you know that's the way it was back in the day.
• 9:51
Speaker 1: Well, thank you very much for being with us, sir thank you, it's uh it's a pleasure.
• 9:56
Speaker 1: Where are the rest of the boys from your club and is it?
• 9:58
  Speaker 4: filling up.
• 9:59
Speaker 4: They're just, they're not wandering around sharing car stories yeah, I see.
• 10:02
Speaker 4: Well, we're gonna have to grab another one here before too long, oh yeah, there's a gentleman out there who's got a delivery car and he's got some great stories, I'm sure.
• 10:11
  Speaker 4: A delivery car.
• 10:12
  Speaker 1: Yeah.
• 10:12
Speaker 4: He went to Germany and got his car and he delivered it.
• 10:17
  Speaker 1: To himself yeah.
• 10:18
Speaker 4: And then put it on a boat and sailed it home.
• 10:21
Speaker 1: All right, Yep, well, thank you very much.
• 10:23
Speaker 4: All right, we appreciate you stopping by.
• 10:25
  Speaker 4: Thanks, thanks, guys.
• 10:25
Speaker 4: Thank you you bet Bye.
• 10:27
Speaker 1: We have the Sold Cars Roundup Now.
• 10:30
Speaker 1: I know to some people it might not be all that exciting, but to me it is because we have such a good time doing it.
• 10:36
  Speaker 2: Yeah.
• 10:38
Speaker 1: So if you can play along at home, mr A on, and you can join in the fun Okay, you know how the game is played I do you give me $20, and I can start.
• 10:52
  Speaker 1: Yeah, exactly.
• 10:52
Speaker 1: So we're going to do Hemmingscom Sold Cars Roundup.
• 10:55
Speaker 1: That's the sold cars of the past week.
• 10:58
Speaker 1: Right now we have the 1978 Chevrolet Corvette.
• 11:05
Speaker 1: Now, this was the first year of the fastback glass.
• 11:09
  Speaker 1: I know because I had a 77.
• 11:13
Speaker 1: Now this is a two-tone paint job.
• 11:16
Speaker 1: It's not the Indy pace car version.
• 11:19
Speaker 1: It's got a silver top but a gray bottom.
• 11:21
Speaker 1: Okay, it looks like it's got stock wheels on it.
• 11:25
Speaker 1: It does have louvers covering the rear glass.
• 11:28
Speaker 1: I think I would take those off, but you know it's a sign of the times back then.
• 11:33
Speaker 2: Now what do you?
• 11:33
Speaker 1: think a 1978 Chevy Corvette would go for.
• 11:36
Speaker 1: I don't know the mileage none of that stuff I'm thinking 17.
• 11:44
  Speaker 3: I'm thinking 14.
• 11:45
Speaker 1: Ding ding, ding ding ding 14, 175.
• 11:50
Speaker 1: What would you think I was going to say?
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: 18.
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: 18, yeah, 14, 175.
• 11:54
Speaker 1: So don't ever say that you can't get into a Corvette.
• 11:56
  Speaker 1: Let's go to a 1972 Chevrolet Blazer, a real two-door Blazer from 1972.
• 12:06
Speaker 1: There was basically a shortened truck that they put that capper on to enclose the passenger compartment.
• 12:16
Speaker 1: It had the front.
• 12:18
Speaker 1: It could have had a front bench, but most of them that I'm familiar with had front buckets and a bench in the second row, no third row.
• 12:28
Speaker 1: What do you think something like that would sell for today?
• 12:32
  Speaker 1: A 1972 Chevrolet Blazer?
• 12:36
Speaker 1: It is nothing spectacular.
• 12:38
Speaker 1: It looks like it's been a restomod kind of thing.
• 12:42
Speaker 3: Ten grand, ten grand 43.
• 12:46
  Speaker 1: Jeff says 43.
• 12:47
  Speaker 1: 43.
• 12:48
Speaker 3: Yeah, I was thinking like 38.
• 12:50
  Speaker 3: How about?
• 12:51
  Speaker 1: 52.5?
• 12:52
  Speaker 1: Oh wow 52.5.
• 12:55
  Speaker 1: Yeah, wow, 52.5.
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: Yeah, there's that.
• 12:56
  Speaker 1: I'm sorry.
• 12:58
Speaker 1: I was working at Richardson Chevrolet in 1970, and we made ready lots of those.
• 13:06
Speaker 1: That is not worth 52.5.
• 13:10
Speaker 3: Well it is today.
• 13:11
Speaker 3: It's kind of like the Bronco, the 72 Bronco or Warner 69s.
• 13:16
Speaker 1: The build quality back then was for the birds.
• 13:21
Speaker 3: It was terrible, I agree, but I think it's the and you shut the door and it's hollow tin and it's just cheap, but by now they've been either restored better than they ever were or they've been restomodded.
• 13:32
Speaker 3: Put your mind into.
• 13:32
Speaker 3: They've been either restored better than they ever were, or they've been, restomodded.
• 13:34
Speaker 1: All right, put your mind into really the 90s, but early 2000s.
• 13:41
  Speaker 1: This is a 2006.
• 13:42
  Speaker 2: Is this a?
• 13:42
  Speaker 1: dance-off or something.
• 13:43
  Speaker 1: 2006.
• 13:46
  Speaker 1: Pontiac GTO.
• 13:48
Speaker 1: Now let me explain.
• 13:49
Speaker 1: Pontiac was about to go out of business, but theyhmm, but they wanted to revive the GTO name.
• 13:56
Speaker 1: So what did they do?
• 13:57
Speaker 1: They went to the then sister of General Motors, holden in Australia, and said you have a car that we can put a body on with basically a Corvette motor, body on with a basically a Corvette motor.
• 14:14
Speaker 1: And then they made this round ugly looking 2006 Pontiac GTO.
• 14:19
Speaker 1: Now, if you're listening to me and you have a 2006 Pontiac GTO I did not mean to offend, but I'm sorry, it's not all that.
• 14:29
Speaker 1: And that was part of the problem because you would think, okay, we'll bring it back to GTO.
• 14:33
Speaker 1: It didn't look like a GTO, not whatever.
• 14:36
Speaker 1: How much do you think a 2006 Pontiac GTO would be?
• 14:41
Speaker 1: I only drove one of them from the factory and it rode great.
• 14:47
Speaker 1: Independent rear suspension, had the Corvette motor in it and it actually had a I think it was a six-speed manual transmission.
• 14:54
Speaker 1: How much do you think that that would go for today?
• 14:58
Speaker 3: Eight grand, I'm going to go 18, 12.
• 15:03
  Speaker 1: $28,350.
• 15:06
Speaker 1: But you know what?
• 15:07
Speaker 1: I think it must have low miles or something.
• 15:08
Speaker 1: Either that or the fact that the nostalgia factor that's it.
• 15:13
Speaker 3: I think that that probably added some money to it and it's got the corvette motor in it, so it's not like it's just a dog.
• 15:18
Speaker 3: Dog, it's just correct, not a pretty dog correct.
• 15:22
Speaker 1: All right, here's one for you, mars.
• 15:26
Speaker 1: Yeah, this is, uh, this is back in your mobster days in neederville the 1940 ford deluxe, nice, uh, big, wide whites on it.
• 15:40
Speaker 1: This thing has been restored and it looks really pretty.
• 15:42
Speaker 1: What do you think something like that would cost this to me if, if you know you wanted to get into a, wanted to get in the car hobby, right, right, nice cars, a driver, but a nice driver.
• 15:59
Speaker 1: You could go probably on the Hot Rod Tour of Texas and not have to do too much to get it up to 60 miles an hour.
• 16:07
Speaker 1: That'd be my guess.
• 16:08
Speaker 1: I would assume it's got a flathead V8 in it 1940, whatever it's got the big long hood on it Kind of pointy nose with the big tall grill Headlights and the fenders.
• 16:24
Speaker 3: I would say something around $27,000.
• 16:26
  Speaker 3: $32,000.
• 16:27
  Speaker 3: $30,000.
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: $44,100.
• 16:30
Speaker 1: Yeah, nice car Driver.
• 16:32
Speaker 1: Must be Wow yeah, nice car.
• 16:34
  Speaker 3: Driver Must be.
• 16:38
Speaker 1: Here's one for Jeff Okay, a 1975 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Convertible in petty blue with a white interior.
• 16:54
  Speaker 1: It's a convertible 75.
• 16:57
Speaker 1: It's huge and it weighs like it's huge 11,000.
• 17:03
  Speaker 1: 11,000, David.
• 17:04
Speaker 2: Or priceless whenever the two 14.
• 17:10
  Speaker 3: 14?
• 17:10
  Speaker 3: .
• 17:10
  Speaker 1: You'd say 14?
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: Mm-hmm.
• 17:11
  Speaker 1: What'd you say 11.
• 17:13
  Speaker 1: 11?
• 17:13
  Speaker 1: Mm-hmm Mars'd you say 11.
• 17:14
  Speaker 1: 11?
• 17:14
Speaker 1: Mm-hmm Mars, would you like to chime in on that price of that?
• 17:18
  Speaker 2: 75.
• 17:18
Speaker 2: I already won, so never mind 1975 Chevy Caprice Classic convertible.
• 17:27
Speaker 3: Oh drop top, it's still probably worth about $15,000.
• 17:31
Speaker 1: $15,750 to be exact Wow, Good for you.
• 17:33
Speaker 1: Now15,750 to be exact Wow, Good for you.
• 17:35
Speaker 1: Now you want to go on the Hot Rod Tour and have some eyes on you.
• 17:38
  Speaker 1: Take that.
• 17:40
Speaker 3: Well, and it'd be a nice driver with top down.
• 17:43
Speaker 1: Now this one here.
• 17:44
Speaker 1: This is for Jeff.
• 17:45
  Speaker 1: Okay, a 1967 Ford Galaxy 500.
• 17:49
Speaker 1: Ooh, it too is a convertible.
• 17:52
  Speaker 1: It's black with I don't know, I can't really tell.
• 17:56
Speaker 1: It looks like a gray interior.
• 17:57
  Speaker 1: It's very pretty.

• 18:04
  Speaker 2: I think it's more though.
• 18:07

• 18:25
Speaker 1: I can't even imagine what this thing would weigh.
• 18:28
Speaker 1: It probably weighs four tons.
• 18:30
Speaker 1: Well, I may be exaggerating, but a 1958 Buick Roadmaster Coupe, a 58 Buick Roadmaster Lots of chrome.
• 18:43
Speaker 1: This is a Mitchell car, mitchell-designed car.
• 18:48
Speaker 1: Okay, a 58 Buick Roadmaster Mars.
• 18:53
Speaker 1: What do you think that would go for?
• 18:54
Speaker 1: It looks like it just rolled off the showroom floor.
• 18:57
  Speaker 1: Well, I would have 22, 32, 38.
• 19:02
  Speaker 1: $31,500.
• 19:05
Speaker 3: You win the car, Jeffrey.
• 19:06
Speaker 1: Oh, perfect, see, I guess that the point that I'd like to make this morning is the fact that you too can get in the hot rod business if you're not in it already.
• 19:19
Speaker 1: Yeah, or might want to trade for something like that.
• 19:22
Speaker 1: I just thought that that would be pretty cool.
• 19:24
Speaker 2: Or if you've got a C5-01 Corvette and you want to trade, yeah, that would be a good thing to do.
• 19:31
Speaker 1: I'm good right now, but thank you for offering yeah.

• 22:00
Speaker 1: Time now for this hour's car review.
• 22:03
Speaker 1: 2024 Ford Mustang Comes in these available trim levels EcoBoost, ecoboost Premium, gt, gt Premium and the Dark Horse New model.
• 22:20
Speaker 1: The reviewed trim level is the Dark Horse, which basically combines the GT 350 and the 500 elements into this Dark Horse.
• 22:30
Speaker 1: It is classified as a subcompact.
• 22:33
Speaker 1: Did you know that the Mustang would be classified as a subcompact?
• 22:35
Speaker 1: Did you know that the Mustang would be classified as a subcompact?
• 22:36
Speaker 2: I did not know that.
• 22:37
Speaker 1: Seats, four passengers, four, two in the front, two in the back, if you can get back there.
• 22:41
Speaker 1: Exterior changes this is a completely redesigned seventh generation Mustang.
• 22:48
Speaker 1: You wouldn't know by looking at it.
• 22:50
Speaker 1: I don't think it has all new body work, sands, the front pillars and the roof.
• 22:55
Speaker 1: Those are the only two things that remain.
• 22:57
  Speaker 1: Carryover, wow.
• 22:59
Speaker 1: Exterior features slight tweaks to the outgoing models.
• 23:04
Speaker 1: Creases are more pronounced, larger rear haunches give it a wider look in the back.
• 23:13
Speaker 1: Squinty, three light uh.
• 23:15
Speaker 1: Headlight pods matches the three light rear lighting as well.
• 23:22
Speaker 1: Rear spoiler uh, it really does look good.
• 23:26
Speaker 1: Um, what I liked about it?
• 23:28
Speaker 1: The body design gets an a+ as far as I'm concerned.
• 23:34
Speaker 1: What could use improvement?
• 23:36
Speaker 1: Nothing, don't touch it.
• 23:37
  Speaker 1: Looks great.
• 23:37
Speaker 1: Interior highlights Full digital instrument cluster, now with a 13-inch infotainment screen.
• 23:44
Speaker 1: All one piece of glass in the front.
• 23:47
Speaker 1: It really does look good.
• 23:48
Speaker 1: Our optional Recaro seats are well-suited for car and track days.
• 23:54
Speaker 1: Handbrake doubles as a drifting tool Wow.
• 23:59
  Speaker 2: Can you imagine?
• 24:00
  Speaker 2: That yeah?
• 24:01
Speaker 1: So it's there and it goes up and it goes down.
• 24:05
Speaker 1: So if you're going to use it for park, just pull it up, park light comes on.
• 24:09
Speaker 1: But if you put it into a track mode, which is you get that through the apps, what's it called?
• 24:19
Speaker 1: The Ford Sync System 4 is what it's got in it.
• 24:22
Speaker 1: You can use it as a drifting tool.
• 24:25
Speaker 1: I thought that was pretty cool.
• 24:26
Speaker 1: Kudos to Ford on that Flat bottom steering wheel, which has fewer buttons on the steering wheel.
• 24:33
Speaker 1: This is a racer's delight, adequate for a trip trip for two anywhere.
• 24:41
Speaker 1: As far as trunk room is concerned, you can put plenty of bags and stuff back there in the back.
• 24:45
Speaker 1: What I liked about it?
• 24:46
Speaker 1: The design overall is just great.
• 24:49
Speaker 1: Nothing could use improvement on that.
• 24:51
Speaker 1: It has a 5 liter V8 engine, 500 horsepower, 418 pound feet of torque, 6 speed manual transmission and let me tell you something, that shifter was as smooth as glass.
• 25:06
Speaker 1: I mean, you could just kind of la, la, la, la, la, la la, but you could hit.
• 25:11
  Speaker 1: It's kind of like a.
• 25:12
Speaker 2: Pee Wee Herman thing, la, la, la, la la, but you la la, but you could hit.
• 25:14
Speaker 2: It's kind of like a Pee.
• 25:14
Speaker 1: Wee Herman thing, la, la, la, la la, but you could hit those gears so easily.
• 25:17
Speaker 1: It was really nice.
• 25:18
Speaker 1: Now, gas mileage well, 500 horsepower and a gasoline-powered engine 14 miles per gallon, city, 22 on the highway, for a combined of 17.
• 25:30
Speaker 1: Now, believe it or not, yours truly got 19.2 miles per gallon over 450.2 miles.
• 25:38
Speaker 1: What I liked about it?
• 25:40
  Speaker 1: The power.
• 25:41
Speaker 1: I don't think anything could use improvement in that area.
• 25:44
Speaker 1: It is not a boosted engine, it's naturally aspirated.
• 25:49
Speaker 1: And boy does it sound good, by the way, it's got that—.
• 25:53
  Speaker 2: Rumble.
• 25:53
Speaker 1: Well, yeah, two variations of the rumble.
• 25:57
Speaker 1: If you want it quiet, great.
• 26:00
Speaker 1: If you don't want it quiet, you got that too.
• 26:02
Speaker 1: You can also adjust it.
• 26:04
Speaker 1: So if you want it to be loud for the neighbors at 3.30 in the morning, there's an adjustment for that.
• 26:11
Speaker 1: It'll stay loud for about 30 seconds and then it quiets down well, where were we?
• 26:16
Speaker 2: we went out, uh, I followed you somewhere in it and it was kind of rumbly early morning yeah, it was.
• 26:21
Speaker 1: Uh, it was pretty cool.
• 26:22
Speaker 1: Uh, ride and handling.
• 26:25
Speaker 1: Well, what I liked about it is the track capability right off the showroom floor.
• 26:31
Speaker 1: This is a factory race car any way you look at it.
• 26:34
Speaker 1: The Monroney did not have pricing on it.
• 26:39
Speaker 1: This was a I wouldn't say a pre-production model, but I don't think they'd put the price on it when they made it.
• 26:46
  Speaker 3: Yeah, that's.
• 26:48
Speaker 1: Anyway, a base trim price estimated $60,000.
• 26:52
  Speaker 1: Price is tested.
• 26:53
Speaker 1: Well, the options list does include a gas guzzler tax.
• 26:56
Speaker 1: I don't know how much the gas guzzler tax is, but it's included in that Wow.
• 27:01
Speaker 1: So you can just imagine Now if you just want to get into a Mustang 4-banger $30,920.
• 27:07
Speaker 1: But let's go back to the Dark Horse.
• 27:10
Speaker 1: Competitors to this vehicle in base size and price.
• 27:14
Speaker 1: Comparable to the Dark Horse would be the Dodge Challenger.
• 27:18
Speaker 1: Now I know that it's not in production anymore, but I'll bet you if you looked real hard you could find a dealer that had some.
• 27:23
  Speaker 1: It's $70,000.
• 27:24
Speaker 1: The Chevy Camaro ZL1, that too is out of production $75,000.
• 27:30
Speaker 1: Or how about the Nissan Z?
• 27:32
Speaker 1: That would be for you, david.
• 27:34
Speaker 1: The Nismo version of that starts at $66,230.
• 27:39
Speaker 1: So that gives you an idea of the Chevrolet.
• 27:42
Speaker 1: Sorry, the Mustang Dark Horse, that was on the Chevrolet thought, but at any rate it was a fun vehicle and I appreciate Ford and Ken Peabody giving me a chance to drive it.
• 27:55
Speaker 2: So you said 70 years, or the seventh generation, yep, so that would be like a Corvette.
• 28:00
Speaker 2: You're now the C8 in a Corvette Yep, so that would be an M7?
• 28:03
Speaker 2: Think about it, okay, yeah.
• 28:08
Speaker 1: That's what my thought is.
• 28:09
Speaker 2: That's where I'm going with it.
• 28:10
Speaker 1: If you've got the bucks and you want to take it down to Motorsports Ranch and you want to do some track time, that's the car to have.
• 28:19
Speaker 2: Bring an extra set of tires.
• 28:20
  Speaker 2: That's what I would suggest.
• 28:22
Speaker 1: Hey, it comes with really sticky Pirellis.
• 28:24
  Speaker 2: I know.
• 28:25
Speaker 1: And so it comes with race tires that are street legal on the car.
• 28:29
Speaker 1: But be ready to open up that wallet because you're going to go to those pretty quick.
• 28:33
Speaker 1: I would guess I would think so, With the drifting capabilities and all the other stuff.
• 28:38
Speaker 3: Well, even if you didn't, they're just going to wear quicker because of their design.
• 28:42
Speaker 3: Well, that's part of it.
• 28:44
Speaker 1: Yeah, it's like NASCAR tires, they last for so many laps and then you come in and change them.
• 28:50
Speaker 3: Right, it's just cost of doing business.
• 28:52
Speaker 3: That's the way it is.
• 28:54
  Speaker 1: All right.
