- Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Hey, what's good? Nicole Locklin is an attorney and technology industry leader who is bringing her experience in law, technology, and complex problem solving to her campaign for Florida's 26th Congressional District. Her campaign prioritizes making South Florida more affordable, achieving universal health care, protecting Social Security and Medicare, defending reproductive freedoms, fighting corporate corruption. and redirecting taxpayer money from endless wars towards education and essential services. This is my conversation with Nicole Locklin. Before we get into it, remember to go to CoconutJustice.com to get you some clothes that I think would look good on you. Let's go. We're back at it, Florida. I told you I was gonna fix you. I told you Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I'm gonna fix you. That's why I'm gonna introduce you guys to Nicole Locklin running for Florida's 26th district. Hi, welcome. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Thank you. Thank you for having me. I'm excited to chat. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. we were talking about some of your social media posts and stuff like that and how you're recording in front of the sign at Hialeah and all this stuff. So your district covers Hialeah and what else? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Okay, so it's basically West Miami Dade County and then southwest Broward. So it's Hylia, Doral, Hylea Gardens, Miami Lakes, Miami Springs, Pembroke Pines. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): How many Trump golf courses are in your district? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I there's definitely one. The Trump Dorale is is in my district. there's yeah, I think at least one. There's definitely, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. There's some out there. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, and then it goes up to Southwest Ranches and a little bit of Davy and Cooper City. but it's it's very it's very odd. So if you're in Florida in the Miami area and you don't know where you are, I guess. I'll be the only person I'll be the only Democrat running for Congress on your district or on your ballot, but yeah. I if if you're in my district, please vote for me. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): and I'm glad you said that. The Democrat part, because my people are notorious for being Republican for some reason. I don't Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): fully understand. Do you have a good finger on the pulse of that mentality? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I mean, so I I think it's just that they fled a authoritarian regime that, you know, happened to be communist or socialist or whatever. but I think that it's just a con like people are mixing up an ideology versus authoritarianism, you know, because and I and I don't really, you know, I don't think that socialism by its definition Is a workable thing in the, you know, in the world we live in because it assumes that humans want the best for other humans. And that is clearly not true. So clearly Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Clearly not true. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: not true. So and and you know, if Donald Trump being president has like reinforced that we do not want the federal government in charge of certain things, you know, like we do Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: need private business and we need cap like, you know, we need the government to. basically provide a baseline quality of life and regulate these big corporations. Like that that's it. It's not, I'm not a socialist. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. And that's just it. I'm not either. I'm not either. Like I but I see I if you talk to anyone that I know, they know that Carlos shows up to work hard and have a good time. That's it. There's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): nothing else, no shenanigans, none of that stuff. But when you go through the gauntlet that is a career in corporate America, especially as a tinted person. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And you start to see you have to you have to do things, special things to get ahead in Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): this society. Right? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I don't want to do those things. I just want to work. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): But it seems like the Republican Party, there it's always it's always something extra that you have to do. You always have to pledge some loyalty. You always have to drop your pants for someone. Like what the fuck? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, and it it's they want the Republicans are peddling fear, right? Because that is more is more motivating than hope, I guess. but they want us all to be fighting amongst ourselves, fighting for the scraps, when the actual villain and the actual cause of the problems that we are experiencing as Americans is from the insane wealth disparity and the concentration of wealth in the top 0.1%. Elon Musk, an individual person, has more wealth who is a yes, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Who's a clown whose parents gave him everything? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: his daddy had an emerald mine and he was from apartheid South Africa. so he he owns more wealth than 50% of the country. So If one person can spend $220 million and buy our elections, and that's not even 1% of his net worth, that is too much money for one person. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So do you do you think that my people, the Cubans that continue to vote Republican because of some made up boogeyman, do you think they see that and they just enjoy the power or or are they just that blind to what the what it's supposed to be like? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Think that there has been a very coordinated, for lack of a better word, brainwashing campaign Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: that has gone on here in South Florida. I think that people think if they have Cuban Americans in office that they will help their the Cubans because a lot of people who live here, they're Americans, they vote here, but they have family that lives in Cuba. They have family that they can't speak to because there's no power, because we are. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, that's me. That's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: not allowing oil. And yeah. And so Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): me. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: and and I'm so sorry for that. That's horrible. I I talked to somebody who whose niece died in the NICU because that like they lost power and the ener the generators ran out of diesel. And so I think that they think that the Republicans are going to help that situation. But the Republicans' plan for that situation is just to Target the Cuban people until they are so desperate that they they try to overthrow their own government. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And I I just, you know, what, that we've been doing this for 67 years? Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like, I think we should try something else. I think we need some new ideas. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And you want the irony? The irony of all of this? Let's let's take a look at Alabama. Let's take a look at what other South South state. I'd have to look at a map because right now my brain is racing and I'm trying to get to my point. The point is all these folks are voting Republican and all the Republican states would be bankrupt if it wasn't for California, Illinois, and New York. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And there's like the increase in crime, they're like, increase in crime in blue cities. That's not happening. That's actually it's going the other way. If you look at mom yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So we're gonna ignore Mar-a-Lago, okay. We're gonna ignore Washington, okay. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah. it Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We're gonna ignore Miami. The only reason Miami is a thing is because of the drug trade in the 70s, 60s, and 70s. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. It's I I I I but I do think I do think that people here are coming around. I don't know about the hardcore like MAGA Cuban Americans that, you know, their the our research and our polling Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We're gonna wait for them to get deported and we don't care. I don't care. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mario doesn't care for sure. They're Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: getting deported to Africa and he's not doing anything. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's crazy. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And and so the other thing that people don't understand about what is happening here in South Florida is we're not seeing the headlines of ISRS like we were with Minneapolis and LA and all this. But Miami accounts for 10% of all ICRS nationwide. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Crazy. That's a lot. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like, yes, it is a lot. And the reason we're not seeing it is because it has the most coordination with local police. 287G agreements. So not only are people afraid to literally leave their house because they think that the, you know, local police officer is going to know that they're here without status and like arrest them and take them when they're trying to go to their job. Or pick up their kids from school. But on top of that, now you're creating a situation where people are afraid to report crimes, legitimate crimes that Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Hm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: are happening to them because they think, yeah, I'm an American citizen. I immigrated here. I have my status. But that's not stopping people from being detained and shipped around this country for months at a time. Like the issue is that these Thugs are not following the law. And so we then cease to live in a world where we are governed by laws. And then it becomes Mayhan. And and Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah. So I think people are coming around Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And let's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: to it, but Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): and there's a lot of MAGA folks that like to point their finger at Chicago, where I'm from. So now Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I have to defend where I'm from. People in Miami, I lived up there too. I hung out with all you idiots that used to pop trunks and steal shit. Half of you guys are hooked on drugs. And then you're and then you're gonna look at Chicago and talk trash about Chicago. Are you serious? No, not today. Not today. Not today. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Not today. Hopefully none of those people are watching the show. But if you are, I still want Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: your vote. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Most of are in jail, so they're not gonna vote anyway. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I mean, the it it is actually insane because they I I I don't know how much the rest of the world is paying attention to Florida, specifically Miami. It seems like now we're attention is starting to turn, but Alligator Alcatraz was is in the original Florida 26, is in Mario's district right now. They they redistricted and cut it out, like it's two miles on the outside of the border now. But They shut it down. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Why did they do that? For any political reason? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, to cheat, but I don't know about specific. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Of course. God damn it. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, to cheat. Basically, what they did. So the the background of this race in this district, Mario has been in this seat for 24 years. His older Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Okay. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: brother was also in Congress before him. And like I mentioned, or maybe I didn't, I don't know. His uncle is Fidel Castro. Like actually, his his Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Sure. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: His dad's brother or his dad's wife married Fidel Castro. So Fidelito is his first cousin. the Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Okay. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: internet will try to be like, they're by marriage. It's like, well, Fidel's son is his cousin. So yeah. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So they're connected anyway. They're still connected. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And so they came here, he's been in this seat. Basically, this is one of the most red districts in the country. It has one of the lowest voter turnouts in the country because it's so red, because people are just like, I don't even need to vote. It's it's so red. And even like the statehouse re races in Miami Dade in my district didn't even have elections. Like there was a Republican who was in office and nobody ran against him in the primary, and no, no Democrats ran. So they just continue on into their like elected positions without actually being elected. Like that's how Republican this district is. So when they were doing their illegal gerrymander, they took a hundred thousand predominantly black and predominantly Democrat voters out of what is Debbie Wasserman Schultz's district currently and put them in Mario's because nobody runs against him. He had no chance of losing. And it was like R plus 38 or something. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: So basically, with the redistricting, Cook Report moved my race from an R plus 16 to an R plus 7 just based on redistricting. And now my district has the second largest shift toward Democrats in Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: the country with a 25-point swing. And my district is 74% Hispanic. So it's not looking good for Mario. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's one of the things that I noticed that that I appreciate that your you or your social media team is doing is you're putting Spanish subtitles Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): on your social media posts. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it it's absolutely essential. Like if I could, I would also add Haitian because that's I think the third. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: but my my campaign manager is Dominican and so she's like and it's funny, she's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yes, ma'am. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: she she's blonde and she also has like light eyes. And so people when they show up places, they're like, they say to her, like, Nicole, and she's like, No, I'm not Nicole, but I'm like, you could just be the Spanish version of me. Like But yeah, it Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That'd be that'd be fun. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: but it I I mean when we were looking for our staff though too, you know, we were we were indexing on people who just cared, but not necessarily in politics because I mean, no shade to like people trying to be Democrats in South Florida, but like there's not a track record of winning necessarily. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: So, you know, when people are giving you advice, it's like, okay, but like did you win like that? Or is that like what you think? So, you know, we are running a grassroots campaign. I'm not taking corporate pack money. I'm not taking APAC money. Mario's largest donor is APAC. He gets money from Lockheed Martin and all these other war companies. you know, he's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: he's motivated by war. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That doesn't seem fair, does it? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: no. But you know, it he's like this guy is so corrupt. And I, you know, like I'm glad that I'm not running in a time where like the pre Trump politics where you you just couldn't say anything, you know, it had to be decorum no matter what. And it's like, but we're actually in a time where people, a, the president is a pedophile and a rapist, and like I gotta, I gotta Feel like you'll have to bleep those words probably. okay, good. And yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I don't. We're grown. That's the reality of the situation. It the way I see it is if you have to use those terms to define our leaders, then you're just gonna have to listen to the terms that define our leaders. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. And I I've I've ranted at length to my husband about how basically social media is censoring us and like from talking about real issues like with the Cornell Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Seven and I don't know if you saw I can't remember what state she's from, but a congresswoman a person running for Congress was raped while she was putting up signs. And like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: The violence against women, we we can't even talk about it because you can't say the word rape or your video gets suppressed and then you Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: have to say grape. And it's like these are Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: serious issues that we should be allowed to talk about. We should be able to say murder, say we're like unalived. It's just, it's actually Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: ridiculous. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. And then some some platforms we don't care. Like you Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, I mean Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): need to listen to what is happening. The little, you know, the little five, ten, fifteen cents that I'm gonna get off this video on YouTube, I don't care. I don't care. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. It's but like Mario is I w so I was super plugged into politics. I'm I was a lawyer, I was working in tech, I had no intentions of running for office, but when Renee Good was murdered, I went down to the ICE building in in downtown Miami because you know I lived in San Francisco before I moved to Miami. And if something like that happened, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's where I I'm I'm north of San Francisco. I live in Sonoma. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah. yeah. I I lived there for 14 years. So Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): cool. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: that's what they're they're trying to attack me. They're like, she wants to bring her radical San Francisco policies to to Miami. I'm like, all right, bro, like I worked in tech. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Let's put it let's put a post-it note right there so we can get back to that. Cause I live here Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, okay. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): and we can clear some of that up. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, exactly. It's like, that they're corrupt too. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: That's why we're all in this situation is people like Mario. So yeah, I didn't know. I was pay I was super plugged into politics in terms of like I'm mainlining the news hours at a time, you know what I mean? Like how we all Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: are, I think. And when I when I started looking at this race, I went down to the ice building because like in San Francisco, if something like that happened, people would just spontaneously kind of show up and protest. So I go down there. And I'm the only person there. And so I'm standing there with my sign, like screaming for an hour, just like, you know, I probably looked insane. I'm sure that there's video on the internet of like some crazy lady, but I was just like, This is serious, and whoever I think the adult is in this situation that's going to come in and save us is not coming. And then I looked at our congressperson. Because I live in Miami. I live in Edgewater near Wynwood. And I was in the original Florida 26. And then when they did the gerrymander after I had filed, they gerrymandered me out of the district another try, like they're trying to cheat again. And he has been in so I just saw that he had been in office for 24 years, hadn't had a real challenger, is bought by corporate interests, and there literally wasn't. Another Democrat in the race. Like nobody was gonna run against him. And I, my husband and I were like, you know, even this is even though this is like an R plus 16 district, I think that the sentiment among people here is we're tired of this. And so we were like, yeah, let's let's run a race against him. And then everything he's done since then has made it easier for me to win. So I'm like, yes. Keep doing it. Like every time he does an interview, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: all the comments are just like pure hate. Like, you're Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: so full of shit. You're a traitor. Like and I'm like, Yes, keep doing interviews. Keep doing interviews. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, think of that. He's been in office for twenty six years. Florida twenty-six. Think twenty-six years ago. How has your life changed? Has it gotten any better? I know if I have a job, I'm just a normal guy. I go out, I get a job. And I say, all right, cool. Yeah, I'm gonna do this job for name, fill in the blank, a hundred thousand dollars a year. Boom. I'm gonna do this job for a hundred thousand dollars a year. And then I'm gonna turn around to the boss and say, Hey, boss, to do my job, the one that we agreed on, I'm gonna need you to go and tell your friends I need a million dollars. What's the boss gonna do? He's gonna show me the door. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And then after 26 years, and I haven't really done anything. Out here we got a guy, he named six, he renamed six post offices. He's been in office for like sixteen, eighteen years. He renamed six post offices. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Cause Mario did that. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): To tell me that story. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: he so bef so before he was in Congress, he was in the state legislature and he got funding for two public law schools, which is great, right? But then Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: the building was named after his grandfather. So he like got funding for a law school that he could name after himself. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Where's his grandfather from? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Cuba. He was he was a politician in the Batista regime and they didn't like their cut. That's that's his origin story. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And that's where I start to that's where I start to lose my Faith in Cuban leaders because if you look, I saw this I saw this I saw this post on Instagram. This black guy went to Cuba and he was surprised at how black Cuba is. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And then he went to Miami and he said, all the white Cubans are over here. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. All the ones that came from Spain. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So all these Cubans that left during Batista and before, all these soft ass, soft handed rich kids who continue to be handed things, like an Elon Musk, like a Donald Trump, Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like a Mario. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): like I don't know Mario, but like a Mario, Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): all these soft handed knuckleheads are telling that that leave. They leave when things get a little bit uncomfortable. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And then they leave us behind to do the work and to pick everything up. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, and then they don't want Cuban people to have the ability to organize themselves. Or yeah, like the fact that they can't Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Survive to survive. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: have it. Gas, they're they're being deprived of fuel, which runs everything. And like you're not depriving the authoritarian regime. They're keeping all of the stuff for themselves. So I just I don't support policies that are aimed at civilians. Like, It's and I and I mean if we're backing all the way up, like is Cuba a threat to us? Like why are we even why do we even have this attitude toward them in the first place? Like they haven't had shit for sixty years. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Right. Right. A and it boils down to that. It boils down to a bunch of rich kids that were that were exactly what we're seeing here in in America. The reason why shit is breaking Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, they don't like their cut. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): is because we have all the rich kids in office making rules and then telling the poor kids and the and the dark ones you gotta pull yourself up by the bootstraps. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): No bitch, you keep pulling up the ladder. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. Like Byron Donald's. I mean, I'm not running against against him, but I hope to God he loses. He he is a black man in Florida acting like DEI and affirmative action and all of these things didn't help him, and he wants to get rid of them. And that is just the type of people that pull the ladder up behind you is just like you ugh. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Hey, here's a quick here's a quick message for Byron Donald's. Change your look. Do one of these undercover boss things, undercover CEO things. Shave. Do your hair, whatever, whatever. And then just walk around and see how you get treated, my guy. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah. And my husband is black and he's like, I don't know what these Cubans think, but they don't know how racist America is if they think that they're gonna be on the right side of stuff. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And he's like, I'm next. So Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, and and we're like, and his his mom is a first generation immigrant. Like it's it's actually insane when you start thinking like, if I'm traveling out of the country. Am I going to have a problem getting back in because I have posts on Instagram that's like Donald Trump is a pedophile? Like, you know what I mean? Like I thought Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: America was a place where you could stand and say what you wanted and you know, I mean, obviously Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Without repercussions. And that's just it. Like you have all these spoiled kids whose parents gave them everything and then told them, you're the best. You're the best. here's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): no one can touch you. You're never wrong. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: We're s we're seeing how the meritocracy works out when a Fox News host is running our war with Iran that literally every single president for the last forty years was smart enough not to be talked into this shit, but Donald Trump's just like, yeah, seems like a good idea. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): so many thoughts on that. my god. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I think it's like because I think MAGA thinks that the rest of the world is literally just like goat herders living in cages. It's like Iran is a country of ninety million people. Like it's it's not Iraq. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And and before all of this mess, we had nice relations with Iran. People don't talk Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. I mean, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): about that. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: but also everybody I just, I mean, I know that we live in a very fast-paced world and there's not a lot of room for nuanced discussion on topics, but Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: like with the Israel discussion, everybody goes back to October 7th. And it's like, okay, history didn't begin on October 7th. Like we, yeah, we can read. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, let's go all the way back. I wanna know I wanna know on I honestly wanna know why all these white folks think that they can just push their way in. They're doing the same shit in west side Chicago. They're doing the same thing in LA, they're Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): doing the same thing in in Miami, and they're trying to do the same Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I actually heard Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): thing in Cuba. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I heard that like a I don't want to quote the percentage, but it was like under twenty percent, but like close to twenty percent of ICE agents that were in Chicago were former IDF soldiers. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): did you see the the clown in Florida twenty one that wore an IDF uniform to into Congress? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes, yes, I did. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): The guy who ran a who ran against well Bernard was run Bernard Taylor was running in that in that district. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Bernard Taylor. Yeah, I'm sad that he didn't win that primary, but Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I tell me about it. Tell me about literal superhero. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I'm I'm like, whenever yeah, when the when the primaries happened and like Oliver Larkin lost and Bernard lost and I like I didn't have a primary but I told Oliver, I was like, I feel like all my favorite coworkers just got laid off. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): huh. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like now I have to go work with these other people. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: But fingers crossed that there's still like a a Democrat in their seats, you know? But like I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. No. It's it's I I think doing the things that we're doing now where we're Participating in democracy. We're sharing ideas. We're Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): taking a look at what's happening. And then we're talking about it and we're trying to figure it out. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And number one thing is we have to get well, there's a lot of number one things, but Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): one of them one of the important ones is something as simple as getting money out of politics. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. Like that in my mind, I mean, we have unfortunately, we are at a point where like you just point at an issue and it's a massive issue. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: we are on the verge of a stock market crash. We are on the verge of a potential currency collapse. all of these things are a byproduct of Donald Trump's idiotic decisions to to go to war, but also like. Just the United States' absolute failure to enforce our own laws. Like, I don't know Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: if you were paying attention to the l Ellison media merger or whatever. And the and they the Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. That's big out here. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: and the federal government just settles. I'm like, the point of antitrust law is not so that you, the government, get a good deal, it's to protect consumers. So how are I I just like we have antitrust Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And I Nicole Locklin for US Congress: laws. We like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I think I think Nicole Locklin for US Congress: They exist. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I think this brainwashing that that the the effort to brainwash the American public is that deeply rooted Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): that we have lost the idea of what government is supposed to do and our normal people's relationship with you guys that are sitting in the seats that keep the wheels rolling on this thing. Right? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. It it's actually insane because people are like, when we're talking about, we want healthcare, we want good education, we want public transportation, all of these things, everybody's like, so you want to take all of our money and spend it on other people? It's like, no, we want to spend our money on us rather than sending it to Israel, who has Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: universal health care and free college. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And not spending it on war. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): How crazy is that? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): How crazy is that? We send billions Nicole Locklin for US Congress: billions Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): and billions of dollars Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): to Israel. They get health care, they get education, they get all those things. We don't Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): get that. We're paying for it. We know it works Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yep. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): because look at how wonderful Israel is. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We don't get that. And then we turn around and take a look at our neighbor, Cuba, and we say, No, we're not gonna give you money because fill in the blank. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Because you have a different idea of how your government should run. Like it I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): But yet Israel's still kind of the same thing. They're running Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. It's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): under a tyrannical government. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: thousand percent and it's like apartheid it's an apartheid state they're committing a genocide Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: like they and it's it's like this this sparce that we're we're all like like let's play in this theater where that's not their plan like that they're not planning on killing everybody in Lebanon and taking their land that they don't have expansionist ideas because their literal uniforms Have a patch of the greater Israel that includes land that is not currently property that belongs to Israel. So and their their elected officials say the most horrific shit out loud to the press. Like it's like he actually just said that all Palestinians, including children, should die because then they're they can't grow up to like have a vendetta against you. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We should we should. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I you know that 92% of Congress is funded by APAC. It's not a partisan issue. It's literally at this point. Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That is a ridiculous number. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. It is, it is now like, are you APAC or not? It's not even red versus blue. It's like, okay, you're a Democrat, but you're working for Israel. Like, so Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): You know what? That that brings up that triggered a memory. I don't know if it fits, but let's see if it does. a couple weeks the first time we were supposed to talk, Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): the night before I went to this event with Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Ate public food. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): he's on CNN, black dude, black dude, he cried Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Jake Tapper. mm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): glasses. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes, Jones. Jones, yeah. Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Him Van Jones. Van Jones. He was there. And I understood most of his message. But when he said that we needed to Pay attention or respect people like Corey Booker and who do we call Apex Jeffries, not even Cory Booker, but Jeffries. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Hakeem Jeffries. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): He said that we needed to respect his history and his like lineage in politics and stuff like that. and that we needed Nicole Locklin for US Congress: No. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): to put respect on his name. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Não. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And I was like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Think so. Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Isn't he bought and paid for her? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And you know, my husband's like, say what you want to say. we have we have 19 days left. I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We got you. We got you. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: like I have been waiting for somebody to ask me, like, do you support Hakeem Jeffries for Speaker of the House? Because I want to be like, does he support me? No, like Mario's messaging, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's what I'm saying. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like Mario's messaging is like, the radical left scum have. picked hand picked their representative. I'm like, nobody picked me. I'm doing everybody a favor. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And who picked you, since we're on the topic? Who picked Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, seriously. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): you? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Ugh and then so you you remember when Hakeem went and met with Jared Kushner and said, yeah, we were talking about the affordability crisis. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, yeah, yeah. And then you put on some sports shirt, like we're not gonna see your weird ass like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Yeah. So A, like Jared Kushner is not an elected official. He has no ability to help with the affordability crisis. So why are you actually why are you meeting with him? But then right after that Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So you went to affordability to a slumlord? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: exactly. Right after that though, because I think that this was around the time where they were really seeing the writing on the wall that like In their mind, it's bad, right? But that we're gonna win the house, that the Democrats are gonna win the house. And so then Hakeem appoints Jared Moskowitz to the Middle East Commission, you know, like the the committee on the Middle East and Israel and all of this stuff, like right after that meeting. And so it's it's giving very much we need to get Democrats that are Israel first in these positions before we get a whole influx of people who aren't gonna stand for that. Because I yeah, exactly. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah, before we turn on the lights. Before we turn on the lights. And look at what's happening. Every time we go somewhere. Every time we and I talk like I'm not a part of any organization, anything. I'm I'm part of a couple of chat groups. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And I talk a lot of shit. But when we go and we start turning on the lights and we're starting to see how people maneuver. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): It always benefits the normal person because the normal person just wants to show up, do the job. They Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): don't need extra couple millions. They don't need, they don't need all the fanfare and all the bullshit that comes with the old way of doing things. We come in and I get to talk to you guys like nationwide. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): People from everywhere, from New Hampshire, New York. California, Oregon. I talk to all of you guys, the normal folks that are running for office. And when you guys show up and turn on the light and we start pointing out the roaches and we get to see them run. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah, I'm really looking forward to it. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And that's what's happening. That's what's happening. It might take a little while, but again, we're we're able to compare notes and we're able to see, Ken Paxton is doing in Texas is doing the same dumb shit that the guy over here in Florida is doing. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And they all hang out with that dude over there in New York. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And it doesn't matter if there's a D or an R. They're getting Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Nope. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): the checks from the same people. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. And I I'm like, we're, you know, Democrats until the election. And then if if you're if you got a D by your name and you're not about like fixing this country for the American people, get out of the way. Get out of the way. Exactly. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): This country Yeah, get out of the way, Chuck Schumer. Get out of the way. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: How old is that guy? How old is that guy? Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): How are you going to be on stage saying that your ultimate goal, that your that your first goal is to take care of Israel? And you are a senator of this country, of which I put my life on the line for. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I think that that should be disqualifying. I don't think that you should be Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): one hundred percent. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: able to say that you're putting another country before yours when your oath is to uphold this constitution and work for your people. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And your punk ass didn't even go to the service. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, like, and how many people go to Israel? Like, Mario, have you like, why would you go to Israel? You are a Cuban American from South Florida. What could you possibly? I mean for the same reason he gets all expenses paid trips to Taiwan, right? Because his Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: his brother and his nephew are registered foreign agents for Taiwan. So, you know. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And there's and there's there's there's history because when People that talk like Trump took over Germany, what was it in the forties? Thirties? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Thirties, yeah. Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And the Jewish people with money began to flee, and they left all the poor Jews back in Germany. All Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): the rich Jews took off and they went to Cuba. Cuba took them in because they saw what was happening in Germany. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And they're like, bro, that's fucked up. You should come hang out with us. You'll Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): be safe. That's in the history books. That's not me. That's in the history Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): books. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I didn't know that. That's crazy. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, I I I mean, the other thing that's crazy to me is the right, you know, for a really long time were screaming about the Epstein files. And I will be honest, like before I I don't know, like before 2020 when people were talking about this and Pizzagate and all these things, I was just like, whatever. That's like. Right wing nut jobs. And then when evidence started to come out, I was like, okay, Epstein. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That it was them eating pizza? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Well, I just thought it was like Epstein is like some deranged pedophile, like who but I didn't realize that it was like, he's actually a non-governmental agent for like Mossad and British intelligence and the US. Like I I think, based on my assessment of his behavior, is like. He's the person that does the thing that we can't do as a United States government because it wouldn't be allowed. And if anybody found out, so you just ask some criminal to do it for you. Like, and and Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And you have the money to do it. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: exactly. And I think that this ICE shit is human trafficking. It's money laundering. All they're doing, they spent, they stole 1.2. Billion dollars of Florida emergency funds to build Alligator Alcatraz, which is a shanty town building put up on an old airstrip in the Everglades, literally with chain-link fences in it. Trump's ballroom is about a billion dollars, and they're building underground data centers with drone ports, and everything is in gold. It's like Okay, so I know that this building in Florida in the middle of nowhere did not cost one point two billion dollars. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, how many favors did you guys pull? So many people got paid. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like ninety-two million dollars. They spent ninety-two million dollars on porta potties. Like it's the average, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Sweet Jesus. And you're in the middle of nowhere, so you can shit under a tree. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. And and then like people are missing from there. I'm pretty sure that they were killing people and just like toss I I don't know, but those there are Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: people that are missing from there still. And it's it it's just like this is all money laundering and human trafficking and like These people would rather just steal from everybody rather than contribute to society at this point. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And that's what I've been that's what I've been if it I was in sports the majority of my life and that's how I that's how I that's how I see things like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I was sports. Yeah, sports. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): to make to make baseball fun you have a set of rules and then you just go play within those rules. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Same thing with government. You play within those rules. But these folks continue to vote for people that continue to break the rules. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it's I I think also we we're got we've gotten into this mindset, at least like Republican leadership in my mind, is they view people who follow the rules as suckers and losers and people who weren't smart enough to game the system that it's like, you would have done this too if you were smart enough or you had the ability or this or that. And it's just like, no, you're a literal criminal, and I wouldn't do that. Because I'm not. Like yeah. Because Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): 'Cause I'm not a criminal. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I care. Like I've Like it's it's actually it's actually not like the human position to like steal from you know, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I I don't think that's natural. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And there's proof to that because if if if all these thieves are in their den of thieves, to a certain extent, they will they do take care of each other. Right? They do Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Until until the chips are down. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): they do yeah. They do call in their friends to say, Hey, we got this shabby building in the middle of nowhere. We need you to build, we got ninety billion dollars, however much it was that you said, right? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. One point two. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. So they hook up all their friends, but then Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): like Fuck us then? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, exactly. And it they took it out of the FEMA money and then they Ron DeSantis is like, the federal government's gonna pay us back. And the federal government's like, the fuck we are, like, no, we're not. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Ron DeSantis, the guy with the with the pretty boots. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes, yes. Florida politics is just a s like if they're talking about braining draining the swamp. The swamp is here. Like this is the swamp. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): It I mean, not for anything, but geographically speaking it's a literal swamp. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: It's a literal swamp and it's literally the epicenter of swampy politics. Like Ron DeSantis Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: is a literal criminal. Like he defrauded the Florida taxpayers, stole $10 million in a Medicare fraud settlement and fund. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Tell about Rick Scott. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, Rick Scott was like the he was the CEO of a company in the early 2000s. He stepped down, but It was the largest set like the largest judgment for Medicare fraud against a company in the history of the country. And he is the sitting Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: senator. So yeah, you have Ron DeSantis who stole the $10 million and then used it to fund ads against ballot measures that we wanted. We wanted to legalize marijuana and we wanted to add an abortion amendment to the constitution. And they both failed, but by like 4%. But that's what they spent the $10 million on. And Ashley Moody, who Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Isn't it? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: is running against Angie Nixon, was appointed to her position because she helped with that fraud. And same with the attorney general. He was appointed to his position because he helped steal $10 million. So everybody at the top of the Florida government is literally a criminal. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Jesus. And that's not that's the thing that drives me crazy. I have seen so many people be praised as wonderful business people. And this is nationwide that I that I have known. They poison their neighborhoods Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): with drugs. And then they're and then they're celebrated. And then they take that and then they clean the money. And then they're like go and start other businesses to basically hide what's happening over here. Let's be honest. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And then they're celebrated as wonderful business people. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, or like Trump who just files for bankruptcy and is like, Good luck, I have more lawyers than you. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): True. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Cause like an average person, like, you know, there there's like endless stories of small businesses that were basically driven out of business because they did some deal with Trump that was supposed to be like, this is gonna make my business, you know, like I got like a $20 million deal and I normally do like small deals or something like that. And then Trump turns around and doesn't pay them after they've done all the work. It's kind of like people calling. on roofers after they finish the work on their house. It's just Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: like just low yeah. Yeah. I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And that's a good way to get that's a good way to that's a good way to get beat up in the streets. Like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I saw a video of like some people who came back and like ripped out the fence of the guy that they put in. I was like, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: That's my level of petty. Yeah. I'll be doing that. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Me too. Me too. I got that in me. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I'm like, I don't care that I spent the time to put it up. Like, if I'm not getting paid, you're not getting you're not getting your fence. Sorry. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. So let's talk about your background. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Okay. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Where are you from originally? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I am from Pond Creek, Oklahoma. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Pond Creek, Oklahoma. Okay. I went Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. It is a Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): to I went to basic training in Fort Zill. I don't know if that's close to Pond Creek. No. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Okay. It is not. but if you know where Vance Air Force Base is, that's 20 minutes from it. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Hmm. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, but it's basically in the middle of nowhere, a town of a thousand people, basically in Kansas. Like it's on the it's on the north side. But Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, I grew up there. I am a first-generation college graduate. My dad and my mom. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Congratulations. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Thank you. my dad and my mom ran a crop dusting business in Oklahoma. So I can fly, I can, you know, weld and me and my brother. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Shut up, baller. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I'm very handy. My my campaign manager is like, you don't need a man. I'm like, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: no, I don't. But I I have one, but I don't need him. But Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: want him. That's the you know that's the beauty of it. But yeah, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Right. There's a difference. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: but so I went to the University of Oklahoma for undergrad. I studied entrepreneurship and venture management there. And then I wanted to do I wanted to work for startups and you know because I was you know my parents ran their own business. I wanted to be in the entrepreneurial space moved Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: to San Francisco in the middle of the recession. In early 2010. So Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: basically, I was like applying to jobs that people with 30 years of experience were applying to because they didn't have jobs. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): What what brought you on here? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: so I live so basically my husband is a military kid and he's been a Miami Dolphins fan his entire life because he lived in Germany until he was 10 on an on the base there, and the Dolphins were the the Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): cool. I was stationed out there. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, in Stuttgart. Stuttgart. Yeah, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): No yeah. I was Stuttgart was about forty five minutes away from where I was stationed. I was a I was in this small German base in the middle of the mountains. Yeah, Stuttgart. hell yeah, dude. That's cool. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, I've I've been wanting to go back. Yeah. Yeah. So the Dolphins at that time were the only NFL game, like the only NFL games that that they showed over there. And he went to one. It was like his first NFL game with his dad. And so he has been a diehard Dolphins fan his entire life. And we met in San Francisco in a Dolphins bar. And so we that was like our whole origin story. And we like we got married in Miami. We love Miami. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you know, obviously like both my husband and I were working in tech in San Francisco. And then when COVID happened, we went remote and then we could kind of live anywhere. And so we were we basically we had been trying to get to get to Miami this whole time. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And then my my brother unfortunately passed away in March of 2023 from a brain aneurysm. Yeah, thank Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I'm sorry. Oof. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you. It was really hard. and yeah, so I base Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So socialized medic or affordable health care is very important. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Very important, yes. He had a pre-existing condition that he couldn't get health care for until he was 26. So that like very much contributed to his premature death at 37. but after that you know, like I was living in the house that I got the phone call in and it was just just very heavy and we needed a change of pace. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And we lived in Miramar or yeah. Miriloma. I'm confusing plailoma in Twin Peaks. And you know, the weather there is just literal garbage all the time. So I'm like dealing with grief and then like living in mist constantly. I was like, I need, I need vitamin D. Like, I need vitamin Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: D. So I was just, you know, our plan was to kind of come here and like not retire, but Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Check it out. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: like we wanted to, you know, maybe start a restaurant and just just like. Make enough to live, you know, like not anything crazy. And then Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. What kind of restaurant? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: my husband wants to do like a bar and restaurant. he's he thinks he he does make like the best chicken and turkey. He's great at turkeys. he wants to do like bar foods, like you know, but we have like a bunch of different ideas. It was like, okay, we can move to a small town and just like buy up the the main street and bring all these businesses here. I don't know. We Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: You know, he basically wants to have someplace, yeah. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): The entrepreneurial s stuff that we talked about earlier. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And like, you know, also after working for the man for the corporate America for it, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Tell me about it. Here we go. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, you're just like, okay, we're being treated well now. and we're being treated well comparatively to the United States, but I will say that. I obviously like data. I worked at Databricks. it's a data and AI company. It's it's like kind of like the utility that all of the AI models run on. and like they treat us well and they treat us better than employee employers in the rest of the country. But I had coworkers who were living in London. They get They get 13 months for maternity leave, paid, full, full paid. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: So and they get like, they, you know, they're on vacation like for the entire entire summer. And you're just like, why are we choosing to live like this? Like, like, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: we work to live, not live to work. And in in America, it's definitely. like live to work and that's that's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Live to work. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: not a that's not a mindset that I embrace. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, no, and that's the thing. We have to change that. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Cause I as a matter of fact, as we're talking, there I have a video releasing on YouTube right now. It's premiering on YouTube right now where I have a conversation with a friend of mine. We worked together in LA and we're spilling the beans. I was telling I'm telling stories about how I was working hundred-hour work weeks and I was on salary and da-da-da-da-da. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And how the workers always do the heavy lifting. And then you got all these knuckleheads up here just because they have a little bit of money or just because they have rich friends, they're shooting on my day. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Yeah. And at at Databricks, like there was it was very eye-opening, right? Like the world of finance, because it's a private company. When I joined, it was valued at 38 billion, and now I think it's 190 billion over like four years. It's it's growing exponentially. but at the beginning of 2023, they decided that. The company decided that they were going to do a tender offer and treat our private company stock that we cannot trade on the stock market as realized gains. And that, you know, basically the before in the world that we lived in before this, you had to IPO to be able to get value from your shares, to be taxed on it. That because then you have the ability to sell it. No, they just changed the rules and made it so that that's not true anymore. So in 2023, everybody at that company had to pay income tax on shares that they still can't sell freely. It like, and they're and they're just trying to stay private so that they can control who gets the gains, you know, like. It's it's not, the the market can benefit from this growth. It's like yeah, exactly. And and Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Me, me, me. Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: it gets more and more obvious as you get more and more money. It's like, we're not gonna 401k match because we're a private company. Yeah, you're Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: but you're a hundred and ninety billion dollar company with 10,000 employees. I think you should 401k match. Like, you know, it's just and then Like in in 2016, or before 2016, before Trump became president, if you recall, all of the social media companies and like the tech companies were kind of leading the charge on like DEI and social justice and like doing the right thing. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: then you realize that they are only doing that because of who's in office. The second Trump gets in office, they start changing their behavior. They start rolling, yeah, like. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Hack and slash. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: we don't have to provide this level of support for disabled employees anymore. Okay, let's just fire them. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: it's you know, and like Netflix laying off six percent of their staff because Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: because what, they don't have forty percent year over year growth? Like it's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And not to mention, since you're in tech, you can Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): you hopefully you've seen this and you can co-sign to my bullshit. They don't hire Americans. They have contractors that they hire from other countries. And then those guys come in and build all these wonderful tools that you guys are seeing. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, I mean they like I don't know. I don't know what the issue is other than greed. Like they Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: it's more that they just don't want, they don't want things to trickle down. Like when the SpaceX IPO happened, which in my opinion, that was a massive fraud fraud on the American people. And that was another instance where they simply just changed the rules because Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you're supposed to be listed on the stock market for a certain like I think it's like six months or a certain minimum amount of time. before institutional buyers start buying the stock. And they changed the rule for SpaceX. So now all of our 401ks to the extent we have them will include SpaceX stock, which was insanely overvalued. And I think that, you know, obviously it's like the the value of it has tanked. And I think that that's what's happening with all this AI stuff is like they're basically gonna need a bailout. to s to stop our economy from crashing because five AI companies are propping up the propping up the stock market and they're not profitable. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, and it it and and It's such a it's such a small amount of people with say so. Five Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): companies are propping up the country's economy. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. And talking about trillion dollars. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): A consumer based economy, five people are in charge. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah. That's and you know, I don't know how you feel about AI, but like as a, you know, as somebody I would I would say that I am at least an expert in it from the legal perspective. I'm obviously not an Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: engineer, I'm not writing AI code, but that was my job at Databricks was to negotiate the the aspects of these deals, like Where the data flow is, where who is responsible for when it's in this place and that place. And so I understand Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm, mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: like the back-end data flow of this stuff and you know the capabilities of it a little bit better. And I do not trust people like Sam Altman, Elon Musk, any of those other founderslash Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: CEOs to do the right thing. But I do think. If they're coming out saying that we need to regulate it, we should listen to them, even if they have ulterior motives, like the ROI isn't there and they don't want to IPO yet. So they're making it seem like it's so dangerous that they have to slow it down. whichever one it is, we need Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Here, let's say like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: to regulate it. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): If I were to leverage AI to come up with a tool that would go out and well, actually, this is a this is a really good example. If I developed a tool that followed all of the stock trades from the president on down, because apparently he's trading 2,000 stocks every other hour. So Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): if I were to track that and then I had this app, That would benefit everyone and said, listen, just put in a little bit of money. We're going to follow these guys and everyone's going to get paid because these guys, they're going to shut that shit down. They're going to want to regulate it. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Something like AI that is having this much of an effect, whether good or bad, it needs to be taken a look at. You can't just you can't just have this shit running in the streets all crazy and then it's affecting everything as much as it has. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And like if we're using it in war, like we're allowing it to make decisions about who lives and dies, that's that's a that's a conversation that we all need to have before you know, before that happens. Uh-oh. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Drill. Earthquake drill. When you hear this message, practice. Yeah, we're doing an earthquake drill. My bad. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: gosh, that's hilarious because when I moved to San Francisco from Oklahoma, I had no idea what to do in an earthquake and like I was like on YouTube, like, am I gonna die? We deal with tornadoes there. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): What do I do? Yeah. No, I do I do I do what they taught me in the seventies when it when it came to nuclear war, they told us to duck and cover under our desk. That's what I do. Earthquake, I just jump under a desk or a table. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. I have watched like some YouTube videos of what to do in a nuclear strike. Just to keep it fresh, you know? Hope you're not close. Yeah, hope you're not close. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): All you can do is grab a cup of coffee and wait. Get you could you can get some SPF like two thousand maybe. Like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: That is insane. I we were like a very hard detour, but did you know that there was a man who was in both locations when we dropped the nukes on Japan and he survived both times. He was in Hiroshima and Nagasaki, and he survived both times. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's wild. Could you imagine him moving into your neighborhood and be like, nah, kid, you gotta get the hell up out of here. Someone's after Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I'd be like, no, you're not allowed. Sorry. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): you. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, like the common denominator here is you. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): You gotta go back. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, seriously. yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): yeah, people people don't understand the magnitude of a nuke. But a nuke, you drop a nuke, cause that's what I did when I was in the military. we shot, I was 13 November, Lance missiles, and we had nuke capabilities. So we get to see things and we get to read about things. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): There's no like you drop a nuke, there's no playing in that playground for Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): the next. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. I mean, like also Chernobyl, like that, that's just land that nobody goes back to. but how do you feel as yeah, as a Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Wildlife is glowing in the dark and shit. Like what the fuck? How do I feel what? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: as a veteran, like how do you feel about like the what was it the Washington? where they were deployed for a really long time on the ship, the USS and like people were like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. As a soldier, as a soldier, I can turn that off. You just put me anywhere, I'll be fine. Right? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Okay. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): as as an older person who has seen a lot of bullshit, who understands why they're sent out there now. No, you can't. You can't do that. You can't Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): do that. That's horseshit. Again. Rich kids playing games with poor kid lives. That's what that is. That's what that is. I believe, Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. Yeah, because Donald Trump's son isn't going. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): yeah, I believe in having a strong military because our history tells us that we need one because we've been we've been kicking sand on people for a long time. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Right. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So we need that. Not just that, not just that, but like we need to protect ourselves at the end of the day. However, I'm a firm believer that if we can start voting for our for the United States' best interest, for example, like what we've been talking about. All Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): this money that goes out to Israel, we need to do that here. Then when we can actually Make a democracy work the way that a democracy is supposed to work, people are going to want to work with us, they're going to want to be a part of it because we Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): have it figured out. We have a bunch of doctors, we have a bunch of teachers, we have a bunch of scientists, we have a bunch of all these things. We have a bunch of plumbers, we have a bunch of carpenters, Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): and everyone is smart. And if We build it the way that it should when technology changes. Like for me, that's what happened. Technology changed and I was left in the dark. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I was left behind. Now I have to go back to school, but I'm not gonna sign up for school. I already did that. I already Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): did that in my 20s. I already paid it off and did all the fucking punishment that that was. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Okay for you, I'm still paying mine. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Listen, I had to cash out my 401k to pay that bitch off. I have I have been through it. That's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): why I'm tired. I'm tired of people spending money where it's not supposed to be spent. I'm tired of people voting against their own interests. They complain about black and brown communities, but they don't invest in those. But yet they go to Israel and they invest in there. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And then when it comes to the brown countries. We treat them like what the like how we're treating them. If we Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): did democracy the way it's supposed to be done, we wouldn't have to drop another bomb ever again. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: No, because we should be able to with countries that don't agree with us, it should be detrimental to them to not be able to work with us. So, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you know, like you can lead by example and be a partner that people actually want to have. Then they will Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: change their behavior to be acceptable to you. You know, you don't have to go around being a bully like, Stealing oil from Venezuela and Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): There's still a whole chunk of money that no one that's not accounted for. It went to his Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Where is that going? Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): own personal bank account. What the fuck Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): are we doing? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I I don't every day I wake up and I'm like, I have to explain to somebody how this isn't normal. Like it's just like he's committing fraud like on TV every day. Like it's it's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Every day. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: insane. The same with like, I mean, Elon Musk is the same. Do you remember when he bought Twitter? That whole that whole thing was like textbook SEC violations. Like You are Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you artificially pumped up the stock price, you bought it without disclosing that you're buying more than ten per like all these rules and you just, no, like we don't have to follow them because we're rich. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, that's what the oligarchy looks like. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): It's not any more difficult than what you're seeing, you guys. This is the normal folks that might be hearing our voices right now. Folks in South Florida, South Florida 26. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I understand that you guys have been told one thing. This ain't it. This ain't it. And I understand that you guys are comfortable because things are working for you right now. But when technology changes and you're left out in your own out by yourself to your own devices, you're gonna wish that you had somewhere to go, a scaffolding, so you could build yourself back up without Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): going broke. And God forbid Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): you get sick. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. It it's I mean, and like South Florida is now allegedly more expensive than New York. And 56% of the people living in my district do not make enough money to meet like the level of not like poverty, but like to just not be worried Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Survival. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: about making rent every second of every day. And and To live here baseline okay, the number is $116,000. And people are not paid that here in South Florida. And so the situation that we find ourselves in is that we have an older population that is aging. we have young people that don't have opportunities here because it's basically just tourism and hospitality, and they can't afford to live here. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And extracurricular activities that they don't ever talk about. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. Yeah. And those sketchy finance bros down here. because Florida doesn't have any like finance laws. But like they when when they're old and they need somebody to work in a nursing home or provide care for them, when when young people cannot afford to live in the place that old people live, that is a problem because young Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: people are the ones who take care of old people. And Eve even right here in in my district, two nursing homes had to shut down because they each lost more than 80 employees who were Haitian TPS holders, because a lot of women specifically from Haiti from Haiti are like nurses or caregivers, and that's the job that they're doing. And now those people are here, but they can't work. And then the people who are in those homes don't have care. Like it's just not helping anyone. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We have people that are willing to do all this work. We have people that are willing to do social work and take care of all this homelessness that you guys see. But you have to pay them. A surve an amount that they can survive. And they're willing to do it without all the extra bonuses that that you knuckleheads need to do Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): your job. Current political folks that are getting paid millions of dollars on top of their salary, they need to be gone because Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): they're not doing it. Just open your eyes and look. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): For twenty six years this Mario dude has been doing work and the only thing he's got is alligator Alcatraz done. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And exactly. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Punishment for you being poor? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: exactly. That did you know that in Florida it is it is now illegal to not have a home address? Like, so I'm a lawyer, what I have to do. Exactly. And and Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So they have a rule, but then they don't they don't do anything to help you live according to the rules. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I I don't like to catastrophize everything, but as a lawyer, that's kind of your job. Like your job is to see the worst case scenario. And it's like, okay, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Sure. Prepare for it. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: it's illegal to not it's basically illegal to be homeless, right? So All of us collectively are struggling to afford our rent. Okay. So what if we lose our job and then we get evicted? Then you're on the street, but you're able-bodied, but Florida doesn't have Medicaid, so you can't get any assistance from the government, and you're, you know, you're homeless. So they arrest you, put you in jail, and then they have free labor. It's like that is where I believe this is going. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. I yeah. The only other place that I've been where it's like that was Dubai. In Dubai, homelessness is illegal. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): But if you're from Dubai, you get what we call what we understand as universal basic income. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): If you're from Dubai, you get that. So you're not going to be homeless because the government is taking care of you. So Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): who gets arrested? Who gets kicked out of the country? The immigrants who are coming who are forced to work at slave labor wages. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And it's the like the other issue is cause a lot of these a lot of these issues, the kind of through line of opposition is like what is this gonna do to small businesses? What is this gonna do to entrepreneurs? Like if we have all these, you know, if if minimum wage is fifteen dollars or something like that. But it's it's really not Entrepreneurs like small business owners that are taking advantage of their employees. They are, it's Amazon, where they have 500,000 people living on Snap because Amazon doesn't pay them enough to feed their family. That should be illegal. The these large Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: corporations are taking annually about a hundred billion dollars from the US taxpayer because their employees get public federal benefits. So they are the welfare clean queens. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Crazy. It's crazy. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: if everybody else like had a good job, like it, it would, you know, if if we had competition and small business owners were competing with other small business owners and not Amazon for literally everything, they could make more money and pay their employees more. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And for the folks that are like, Well, at least they're selling things on Amazon and they the Amazon is giving them a avenue to sell their products. And then Amazon takes a look at the best selling products and then they recreate that shit and then Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And then makes it. Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): they sell it for cheaper. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And then you're out of business and you don't have a claim. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And if only, only you had the scaffolding to be able to go back to school to find out your new adventure instead Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): of going homeless. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: and I definitely support you know, I I think that one of the reasons we're in this situation that we're in is the state of education, specifically in Florida. We're last. We're last in in teacher pay. I I don't even know if teachers make over forty thousand dollars here. it's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And you just got done saying that you need to have a hundred and what twelve to survive. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: A hundred and a hundred and sixteen to like survive. yeah. And I think you also need a combined income of four hundred thousand dollars to afford childcare. So, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Jesus. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you know, it's just like all like I would love to live in a world where people teaching our children aren't working four jobs, like that they could actually focus. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): the only thing that they're gonna do is be stressed and they're gonna slap the shit out of your kid. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, or just be so I I saw this girl. she was a teacher, she was like crying on her video, just kind of talking about what was going on. And she was saying that like she's so tired and she's sick, but she can't call in sick because if if she doesn't show up, there's nobody there for the kids. And like the kids can't even copy like a word onto another paper, like they can't even look at a word and like. And she said that she has 32 kids and only one of them passed the like standardized tests. And they just like k keep moving them through the grades. And you end up with like I think fift more than 50% of the US is at like a sixth grade reading level. So we definitely and we're banning books. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And you guys are banning books. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like That is some socialist shit. Like, that is some authoritarian shit. Like, yeah, you don't want me Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): It's so crazy. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: to make up my own mind. That's the other thing about like MAGA is like, you're just you're just regurgitating what the radical left news says. I'm like, here's the thing though. It's called research. It's called the internet. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you can find any information that you want from any perspective. And what I do is I evaluate all of it. and determine what I think is true. Like it's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: called deductive reasoning or critical thinking. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Critical thinking. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: and they're just like, what's that? No, you must have been told. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): then but then when you if you were to ask a normal not even MAGA because they're extreme that I'm Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): tired of them a good South Florida 26 Republican Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): that believes in business and none of the shenanigans that we're seeing coming out of the White House. What's their opinion? Like why They see all this happening. Why do they support all of this? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Racism? Like, I I don't know. I don't know. Because I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): They're in the cool kids club. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: guess like it benefits them. I mean, I think that's like the white you know, my little brother was one of is somebody that's like, I don't vote, it doesn't matter, I don't care. And I'm like, that's a very white man thing to do. Like You don't need to vote because no matter what, you're gonna be fine because the white men Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): You're gonna be winning, yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: are making the rules. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: and that's just like I think that's how it is. It's like, well, it's it must not be that bad. Or all these things that they're saying aren't affecting me, so they must not be happening, you know? Like, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's what's I get to hang out with I get to hang out with very comfortable people. That's that's all I get. I'm Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): not trying to get anybody's business. and when they come to me and they say this whole DEI thing and like, is it real? Like there's there's no real racism kind of stuff happening. Is there? And then I said, when's the last time you heard me say I am I I have to hurry up and get to work? It don't happen. White folks get those jobs. I'm building my own. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Yeah. I'm gonna make my own. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I'm building my own because I've given up. I've given up on the on the system. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And then I can tell you stories about how some lady I was on my bicycle and some lady stopped me in the middle of the street to ask me if I work around here. Not understand it's it was a clearly a neighborhood with. Big houses. There's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): no so i i if I was gonna be doing anything in this neighborhood, it would be trueing bushes and cutting grass. In her mind. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: In her mind. Mm-hmm. Yeah. Yeah. That's like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Meanwhile, I'm a bad motherfucker. Let's put that out there. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And I have to tell stories like that to remind you guys DEI is in place because white boys take care of white boys. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Same thing, South Florida. Rich Cubans take care of rich Cubans. Nobody's taking care of the hustler. The one that's working, he gets up every day, no questions asked, put in a hundred hour work weeks. They just milk you, they wring that towel, and then they just throw you when you're done. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. That's exactly the bus. I mean, that's that's the business model. Like, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: if we can lay off a bunch of staff and get a stock price bump, let's do that. Like it's, it's, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. It's a game. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah. I mean, I definitely think that we need meritocracy because otherwise we end up with like RFK and people are dying from explosive diarrhea. but As somebody who has worked in the private sector with highly diverse people, it is true, and it is empirically true, and backed by scientific evidence, that the more perspectives you bring to the table, the Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: more likely you will to have f to find a solution that actually solves the problem. And, you know, like. There is a benefit to having people who think differently, have different life experiences Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: than you. And, you know, I just go back to the whole, you guys, like the the United States was founded when we enslaved African people that we kidnapped and brought here. The the cause yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): After killing after killing too many of the natives. Yes. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: All of the Native Americans, yes. And and then, you know, even in the constitution, like women didn't have the right to vote, black people weren't even considered a whole person. These are the structures of our country. And to ignore the fact that we are at our foundation, a racist a racist nation, and that all of these yeah, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And sexist, yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: and all of these rules have stemmed from, you know, okay. It used to be segregated, black and white, and then they integrated. And, you know, all the it's it's all of these things that are relics of our past and and we need to keep moving in the right direction. But that's why they don't want us to read books and learn our history either. Because then we can't, you know, when you start drawing Nazi comparisons right now, people are like, that's extreme. And I'm like, it's it's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Is it though? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: it's literally not because Hitler didn't pop up in 1944. He was running, you know, he was running and start like, no. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. It wasn't a fresh idea. He just jumped on someone else's bandwagon. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: he was in in office, in power for like 12 years before shit really started, you know, becoming obvious to other people. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Going left. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And so like you look at you know, going after political opponents, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Uh-huh. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Attacking reporters, kicking legitimate journalists out of the press pool, putting Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Putting your dumbass name on everything. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: your name on everything, covering shit in like spray paint, Home Depot, gold. Like that shit is not gold, man. Like it's not. It's and he's so tacky. He like, he's like, yeah, just put gold on it. Like that's what he thinks about his face, you know? S not working, man. S not working. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): it's so weird. It's so weird. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I can't wait to impeach him. Can't wait to impeach him. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): are you part of the impeachment coalition? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I d I don't know if I yeah, I am. I don't know if I'm officially a part of it, but Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): All right. We'll we'll we'll connect you. 'Cause yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: The p yeah, the people who are like impeachment seems like a waste of time. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Only if we can't get them kicked out. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Are we living in the same world? Exactly. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Only if we get after that insurrection, I'm done. I Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, no, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): MAGA, all you morons, we're we gotta be done. We gotta be done. You threw a tantrum because you didn't get your way. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And then for the idiots that are like, Well, Black Lives Matter protest and all that stuff, we were in the streets because you keep killing us. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, like exactly. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): There's a difference. A tantrum and will you stop killing us? Are two different things. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And overthrowing the government is a little Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And overthrowing it. And that's my question. Like, okay, so what if we did give up that building? What now? What are you gonna do now? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I know, I was like, do they not they they think that Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's not that's not it's a building. It's like going and and and like breaking into the Kmart. It's the same shit. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it's like possession is nine tenths of the law. It's ours. We got it. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We got the capital, we're gonna run the ch and everybody's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): like, What the fuck if you don't take your country ass home? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, like it it's it's actually insane. Like we are allowing this person, you know, he's made what a billion dollars off of the presidency since he's been in office. his his kids have made an insane amount of money. Jared Kuster is going around like trying to buy Albania. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Making billions off of Saudi Arabia? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Who decided to play bumper cars with the with the twin towers? Like, stop it. What are we doing? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: You know what I would like? I think that we need like once once we take back the power and we restore sanity, I think we need like a reassessment of what information. Yeah. We also, I think we need to look back at some stuff. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We need to burn a whole bunch of sage. We gotta sage all fifty states. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I think we need to look back at some stuff and like Reanalyze things because I want to know more about the JFK assassination. I want to know more about 9-11. Why did they why did they ship the wreckage to a foreign country before before anybody had a chance to look at it? Like, I'm not a conspiracy theorist, but this Epstein shit has really shed a light on we have been lied to about everything, I think. And, you know. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Let me throw this one out here too, 'cause Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): it it MAGA, please enjoy the comments. If Charlie Kirk was that much of a hero to you, why does it not bother you that the weekend after he got shot, just a couple days later, they redid that entire area? Was it the next day? Yeah. Like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: The next day. It was the next day they paved over it. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): you guys don't want answers, or you just gonna wait for Poppy Trump to tell you what to do? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: So I think Charlie Kirk was like a real tipping point for me because I'm from Oklahoma. I know Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: about guns. I'm a gun owner. I think we should have gun safety laws, but I'm not gonna be the only unarmed person in Florida, let's be real. Exactly. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Shortcut to that is the same way we do licenses, driver's licenses, we do the t that's a shortcut. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. where was I going with that? Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Charlie Kirk. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, Charlie Kirk, when they were like, he was shot in the neck by a 30 aught six, I was like, no, he wasn't. Like, that's not what happens when you get shot with a gun like that. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): gun like that is a statement. That wasn't a statement. That was like Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it's mm-mm. That was his little lapel mic that exploded and yeah. I I would like some more Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, I wonder I wonder if in history if there was ever like a terrorist attack off of something like a little mic, maybe a beeper or something. Huh. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Also, since you brought that up, we can we talk about the fact that when Netanyahu was here on US soil, he literally threatened all of us by being like, There's Israeli chips in these, all of them. Remember what we did with that? And I'm like, all Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: right, well, I'm not buying any more iPhones. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's a this is my last one until further notice. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, I'm like actually I might go, I think I have a 12 somewhere in my like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: might go back to the old version. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And even that, if you get if you start getting even frisky with that, I used to do development here in Silicon Valley. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I have a bunch of tester phones in my in my drawer right now. I could just switch them right back out. I'm not playing Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): this game. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I was like, how can he like that seems like you shouldn't shouldn't our greatest ally shouldn't be doing that, I don't think, right? Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Nah, you gonna come in my house and talk crazy in my house? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, as a war criminal that we don't arrest. Ay, ay, ay, ay. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I'm telling ya. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: It is it's a wild time to be in politics, I will say. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): What was it that or I and I know you touched on it, but like why? Why why why take this upon yourself and do this, especially in Florida, South Florida no less. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. I mean when I looked at the race, I was like, I don't I lived I live in Miami, so I assumed that I was in a blue district. I was like, I I don't want to run against a Democrat, like that's not the point. But I was gerrymandered into the current Florida 26, like the way that the the district was was actually insane. And it went from Naples all the way through Alligator Alley and then went to a tiny little area through Wynwood and then the last corner of the gerrymander was where we live. And so it felt very like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): So it's very east coast, west coast of of South Florida. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: The the original one. Then once I was in the race, they gerrymandered and changed the borders and cut me out and then cut they cut it up a different way, but it's much, much better for me now. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: But yeah, I was just like, I'm either going to have to like flee this country because that's how serious I think it is. I don't think it's business as usual or you know, like, we'll see how 2028 goes. It's like, no, if if we lose, this guy is not leaving. He's literally building a bunker. Like that's that's what his ballroom is. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. He's and and everyone thinks it's a joke, but these little goofy ass Trump twenty twenty eight things is why would he go through all that? Why would he plant Nicole Locklin for US Congress: No, it's not a joke. And he's serious. Yeah, and he knows Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): those seeds? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: he knows the second he's not in power, he's going to be in prison. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Him and all his friends say it. All of We better not lose. We all Nicole Locklin for US Congress: All his friends. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): going to jail. Yeah, because you keep cheating. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And the people who aren't in power anymore, they're also going to jail. Looking at you, Pam Bondi. Like y I'm coming for you. Yeah. Todd Blanche. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And everybody else, everybody else who's been in power, who hasn't done shit. I'm talking, I'm talking everybody. I'm talking Hakeem Jeffries. I'm talking everybody. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yep. Yep. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): They know something and they haven't, they just sat there and kept collecting and kept collecting and kept collecting. And they didn't build not one school. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm mm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): They didn't build not one library. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Also, like you've been to Europe, obviously, you were in Germany. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: In Florida, the amount of roads that we're building, highways, like turnpikes, toll roads, it's like, could we not just get a central rail system? Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like some, you know, like we already have national railways. Let's put some high speed trains on them. And especially now with like the FAA being run by meritocritists, like like these freaking idiots. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Ha ha Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Like, I don't want to be on a plane in the United States. Like, you don't even know. Like, you have no idea. They're they're Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): No. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: recruiting like video gamers to be air traffic controllers. And they're like, we'll have it. Adequately staffed in two years, that's what Sean McDuffie or whatever he said. Like, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: and when you start pulling talent, I mean I know I'm from Oklahoma, but like when you start pulling talent like Mark Wayne Mullen from Oklahoma to lead shit, like you know we're in trouble. Like with his Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: two first name having ass. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And if you don't Nicole Locklin for US Congress: See. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): know, he's the guy that was in Congress. He was questioning some guy, one of the one of the leaders of one of the unions. And then and then he threatened the guy. you get your butt up. What are you doing, sir? And then and then and then you you demand respect from people, but that's Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): how you talk to people? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: She's like let's go outside right now. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I'm telling you, that's why I don't I don't ever want to be in front of Congress because you talk to me like that, I'm gonna have to invite you. CNN, let's go, because you you about to you about to record this dude getting smacked up. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Same. I'm like I have brothers, like I Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Just kidding, violence is not the answer. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I'll let you say that. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): because sometimes, like, that's the thing. I I don't want to, I don't, I don't think that I I agree with you. Violence shouldn't be the answer. But some of these idiots, that's the only thing they understand. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And I don't want you to think that this Mario dude, let's just say, you guys go on a debate and he disrespects you just because you're a woman, because you're a white woman, because Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): whatever, because he's he's on his machismo bullshit. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I don't want you to think that you're gonna be able to talk to my friends like that, my guy. It's not gonna Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): happen. It's not gonna happen. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, and it Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Hey, we might be lefties and we might be, you know, we might like hugs and shit like that, but we got shooters on this side. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Dark woke. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Or dark or nothing. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Dark woke. Like, I'm not gonna lie to you, but I'm not gonna take your shit either. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Right. I don't want to have to slap the shit out of you, but I will. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, like we can go there if you need to, but Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): from the hood. I'm from the hood. I'm from the projects. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: from the middle of nowhere in Oklahoma and like if you run your mouth, you get smacked. Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. You get checked. Yeah. Especially if you're inviting me to it. Like I any, I'm too volatile. You can't invite me to shit like that. I just I would show up just to see what happens. You Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, I mean Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): might whip my ass, but I just want it I want to see it happen. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, I think the people who bring up fighting like right away are people who like never actually have been in a fight. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. The ears, the ears, this Nicole Locklin for US Congress: They're like, if I just say I'll fight them, then it'll shut down the conversation. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): is the shortcut. The ears will tell you. If they have the cauliflower ears and they're quick Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): to jump on a fight, you want to leave that alone. But if there's some if there's some Nicole Locklin for US Congress: True, true, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): pudgy dude over there, he just had he's on he's on he's got a certain case of the bravery because maybe he had a little too much Cuban coffee and he's feeling amped up and stuff, like my guy, stop it. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: my gosh, the cafecitos though, whew, those are Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Peak headseth peak head peat head hexeth trying to do pull ups and shit. Like he's the first one that needs to be quiet. You're not you're not that dude. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Him telling a room full of like four-star generals and shit that they can't be fat. And I'm like, what? I'm Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mantits. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: like, I mean you can if you're a general, I think. I think you've earned that. Like, you can have an extra helping of mashed potatoes. Like Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): telling you. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: also the their their obsession with appearance in general, but male appearance is like. Please, dear God, just go to therapy and come out of the closet and save us Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Just come out. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: all the heartache. Like, Donald Trump is so gay. Like, he is like, you know what I mean? He's just like an old guy who wants to redesign his house and like stop fucking talking to me about the Iran war. They said it was gonna be over. Look at my ballroom. Look at these Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Look at these curtains. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: curtains. Look at this gold. Like, And then every time he talks about a dude, he's like, I looked at his ass. that's a good Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: looking man. I'm like, geez, us. Like Mike Johnson, I mean, like, whew, they're Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Dude. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, they're all just like hanging out in the closet together. Being mean, being mean to gay people. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): it's wild. It's wild. Just being mean. Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: It's like you guys, if you if you came out, we would be cool with it. Like we're we just we just want you to get the help you need. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I know. It's just not a thing. It's not a thing anymore. We're very supportive of that community. So just come on out. Come on out. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, like, yeah, we c we can all just, you know, move forward, put the hate behind us and you can Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: you can just go to drag shows and nobody will judge you, you know, like you don't have to screw. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Let's build a library and just read books. It's fine. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: my god, yeah, yeah. The funniest thing about this live stream execution, which there's nothing funny about it, but the fact that the right is screaming that drag shows, which like kids don't go Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: to anyway, but like that is too much for people to be able to handle. But at the same time, you want public executions, like make it make sense. Just Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. You talk a lot of crap about rap songs, but then you want to see a live execution. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it's morally morally depraved and criminally incompetent is basically Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: this entire administration. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): We're we're getting close to cutoff time. So I want to ask you to for the next couple of minutes, talk to the good people of Florida twenty-three, twenty-six, my bad. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Twenty six, yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): let them know what it's going to look like after you win this race. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I love that question or that prompt. after we win this race, we will have the I'm calling it, I think that Florida is gonna have 14 Democratic House seats. I heard it here first. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: fingers crossed, and we're gonna flip the Senate. And so we are going to be able to get things through. We're going to immediately end the war in Iran. Like we will have to deal with whatever fallout of. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Hey, yeah, whoops a daisy. We started an illegal war, did a bunch of damage. Now the strait is, you know, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Again. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, we're in a worse position than we were, but we have to, we have to stop this because there is no, there's no legitimate end otherwise. And we're gonna be in another 30-year war like the Iraqi freedom and Afghanistan and whatever. And so end that, which will hopefully start to normalize like gas prices and things like that. End all of Trump's tariffs, which are a tax on the American people, that the refunds are going to these mega corporations. So pretty sure that was just a scam to rip off the American people. And you know, I want accountability. When the financial crash happened and Obama took over, like my husband, my husband's like, Don't you dare criticize Obama. The one thing I will say though is like when we had the House and the Senate. And the presidency, we need to push through the things that we want, not this, like, we gotta meet these right-wing Nazis in the middle. No, we're we're going to fix things, and people who are a hindrance to us actually fixing things are going to be exposed. Like, there's no more secretly working for Israel, like, either, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, for real. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: yeah, like. Anybody who is advocating for that and and taking money from them and pushing those things, like I'm gonna be putting them on blast all the time because we need to focus on ourselves first, not like America first in the right, right, right wing way, but like, Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): In the hillbilly way. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: but like America first, dude. Like, let's Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: fix our problems. People are dying because they can't afford health care. There is a whole there is a housing crisis and There is a wealth disparity crisis where we are now at a point where the wealth disparity is worse than it was in the French Revolution, which was like a guillotine time. So it's just, you know. But basically, I'm not here to like make a career in politics. I'm here to fix issues. And if that means that I make a bunch of enemies and people don't want me in Congress anymore. Fine, but as long as I fix things for the people who live here, that is my goal, not to like go be a part of the Congress club and s sit there for twenty-four years and take taxpayer money as my salary. I'm just, yeah, really just focused on solving these issues and being laser focused on solutions that actually deliver results, not ways that we can make this rich person happy and trickle down to people maybe, maybe 20 years from now. We need real legislation that addresses the fact that Americans can't afford housing, they can't afford their rent, they can't afford groceries, gas, all these things. And that starts with making sure that we have good paying jobs, that we're investing in education, that we are investing in infrastructure, that we're investing in healthcare. you know, we are going to start having like a doctor shortage because young people simply don't want to take on the level of debt that is required to have these types of jobs. And now, like Donald Trump saying, like nursing isn't a professional degree, so you can't get higher levels of loans for this. And, you know, it's just we're gonna end up in a really bad sp bad spot where we don't have educated people in this country anymore. And we We can't lead ourselves. So we need to invest in the three things that time and time again show and grow the economy, which is healthcare, education, and infrastructure. We need to I I hope that this Iran war situation makes people more aware of the fact that we desperately need other alternatives to fossil fuels because look at what happens. Like if we were. You know, 80% reliant on solar energy and this happened, it would be a much different situation. And I think that we should invest in those types of things. And especially in South Florida, where it's sunny all the time and we could actually like earn money from selling solar energy to other places, we should invest in that stuff. We should bring jobs here, we should bring educated jobs here. you know, like be the center of like. The sunshine state where we are leading the world in in solar energy development. You know, like let's stop talking about the worst, you know, the best option of two terrible options and start actually building the future that we want. And for me, that is like just living my life, having one job, being able to afford a nice place to live in a nice neighborhood that doesn't have an insane commute. That my, you know, if I have kids, that they can go to school without me having to spend $40,000 a year on like private school tuition, which is absolutely insane. And like just the American dream, like it's slipping away. People actually cannot, despite working hard, cannot get ahead. And that is what I want to end, because I think the American dream and the American way of life and the American values are that if you work hard, you can have a good life. And that should be true. And that's that's what I want to work toward. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yes, ma'am. I'm gonna move to Florida twenty six just about. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And I move back. And I move back 'cause I I don't have patience for MAGA and those guys. I just don't. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: I I will say that there is a a lot, like I was here in 2021. We lived here for like a couple months, and there was like MAGA flags everywhere, like on boats, on cars, on houses. I haven't seen a one. I haven't seen one in like three months. I haven't seen a hat. I haven't seen I haven't seen much. So fingers crossed, people are waking up. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah, I hope so. I hope so. And and I want folks to I I tease a lot because Florida houses the majority of my family. So I tease a lot. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): But it's out of love. We can do better, you guys. We Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): just have to get away from we have to get away from all these connected folks that continue to take from you. And we have a bunch of these. Folks that are just running and they're promising to do it for what it says on the price tag, 170,000 a year, whatever it is. They don't Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): need and they don't need the extra million. And they're promising to do what it takes to make your life easier so you can get to work, so you can take care of your kids, so you don't have to have four jobs. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Exactly. So that you you can live a good life. Because I, you know, the there's a saying like bread and roses, like let them have like it's a you know, we need the roses. Like it's not life is not about, like we said, it's not just working, living to work. It's not, it's not just every day I'm thinking about whether or not I'm gonna make rent, whether or not I'm going to be able to cover this bill, whether the energy prices are gonna go up. Like those things, I mean, from a from a more holistic approach, are also contributing to our deteriorating health because stress actually like stress really does like physically affect you. And Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Stress will kill you. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: so, yeah, people who have lower incomes. have worse health outcomes because they are in this chronic state of fight or flight, stress, anxiety. And and I want more for my community. So yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And this message goes out to all the poor folks. You work harder than they do. They're going to try to convince you. Rich folks are gonna try to convince you that they work harder, that you're you know, you'll get yours when the time comes. That's not the case. You Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Not the case. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): work harder than they do. Their money works harder than yours because they have extra and their money is making money on top of money. You're trying to pay your rent. You're trying to pay your rent, have your kid do sports. And buy groceries. They're not worried about that. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. And like now it's even I I'm hearing that private equity is like ruining intramural sports because they're like buying up all of these teams and then like charging everybody money to play and like so it's just like, you guys, I would love it if we could have some like free stuff, you know, like maybe a park that people can sit in that they don't have to spend money to be at. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): It's not let's not even let's not even it's not even free stuff. It's paid for. You paid for it. But the money Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Right, right, like exactly. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): shouldn't be going to people like Mario. It should be going to the parks. It should Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): be going to the buses. It should be going to these trains. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yes. If I'm if I'm, you know, still in office and we can we're talking about big, like big plans. I'm I'm all for a massive rail program. Like I would love it if I could get around this country on a train. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Mm-hmm. It's a beautiful country. I've driven, I've driven from top to bottom, left to right. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): It's a gorgeous country. The benefit of living here is we don't really have to go anywhere. But Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah. And I think Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): it's healthy for you to go other places so you can see, so you can experience life and what it's like. In Austria, if you're a man in Austria and you have a child, you can take six months off and help raise your kid. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, it's it's great. And you have universal health care. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): And you have universal healthcare, so you don't have to pull in that stress off of you. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: And public transportation that gets you like within a block of where you wanna go. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): That's reliable. Go to Chicago and catch the L and see how a cord how a coin flip that shit is. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: when I lived in San Francisco, I used to live on the N on the line. it's like one of the one of the lines that the Muni line and Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Okay. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: there was like this whole blog called the N is near. And it cause it was like it never showed up. Like and it was just like ta like. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): They spent so much money trying to build a train from San Francisco to LA and I don't Nicole Locklin for US Congress: my god. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): all I know is they spent a whole bunch of money on plans, maybe? Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Again, yeah, like this is I don't know how we can pass legislation and get funding for stuff and it not happen. Like there is there's a lot of stuff that needs to be fixed, but I do have a list, so yeah. Yes, yes, like it's gonna be. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yes, ma'am. So we're hitting the ground running. Yes. Go ahead and let everybody know. Go ahead and let everybody know where they can follow up with you so they can learn more about your platform so they can see all Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yes. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): the good, wonderful things that you have planned for South Florida. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: lachlandforc.com, L-O-C-K-L-I-N-F-O-R-Congress.com. And I am L-O-C-K-L-I-N 2026 on all socials. Instagram is the the main one, but we we keep them all updated, but I'm Lachland2026 on all platforms and then if you would like to donate, I am running a grassroots campaign and all of our donations right now are going toward the last 19 days and and getting people out to vote. voter turnout is the game for us in in my district. So if we can just turn turn out the vote, we are going to be sending this 24-year incumbent packing. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): The guy's had a job Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Mm-hmm. Yeah. We can we can't afford two more years. We can't afford it. Of course. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): I love that you're running. I love your energy. It's so cool to see you guys taking control and just being like, nah, we get we're we're not good with this. I love it. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: Yeah, yeah, we're we're not good with this. So change is coming. Carlos Gomez (Coconut Justice): Yeah. And with that everybody, we're out. Nicole Locklin for US Congress: All right, thank
