[SPEAKER_06]: That's right, Dammit.
0:48
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right.
0:48
[SPEAKER_03]: It's right in a smell like football season, man.
0:51
[SPEAKER_06]: That's right, man.
0:57
[SPEAKER_06]: Get all of our asses.
0:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, left handed.
0:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, oh, Chad, Chad, Chad.
1:03
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I don't want that to smoke, man.
1:08
[SPEAKER_06]: Last time we played, who won?
1:09
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know, did you?
1:11
[SPEAKER_06]: Yep.
1:12
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you know, there's lanes, right?
1:14
[SPEAKER_03]: I think that was a question if that wasn't.
1:16
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
1:17
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, there are lanes right around the corner from us right now, man.
1:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Right up, we get off here.
1:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I know you got, I go get it.
1:23
[SPEAKER_06]: We go get a game right now.
1:26
[SPEAKER_06]: Hey, my balls with me right now.
1:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh, oh,
1:57
[SPEAKER_03]: made it in the photo finish, joining us here.
2:00
[SPEAKER_03]: Chad Van Horne back from the A-Con and Neoconsor.
2:04
[SPEAKER_06]: He's finally here.
2:06
[SPEAKER_03]: He was locked up, but he's back here with us now.
2:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, let him out.
2:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Some sent no calmness and the host of Dolphins deep dive with Perk, which is going to mean something again here pretty soon.
2:18
[SPEAKER_03]: When the season starts, he has Chris Perkins.
2:22
[SPEAKER_03]: And our host tonight, as always, he opens up the keys and the door, the gym, and let's us sneak in the back.
2:28
[SPEAKER_03]: The heart and soul of Dolphins talk, Michael Leva, fellas, I feel like we actually have something to talk about.
2:33
[SPEAKER_03]: We don't have the manifest Dolphins talk.
2:36
[SPEAKER_03]: There are some things that are happening in Dolphins land.
2:39
[SPEAKER_03]: The rookies have reported, I wanna talk to you.
2:42
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what, let's start with that, Juice.
2:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Was it like that in your rookie year in 93, did you guys report first and then the vets was it still the same setup?
2:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Now we all, we all came in the government, you know what I mean?
2:54
[SPEAKER_06]: They do it's right in the fire like right away.
2:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, we have to deal with like, and then, I mean, I think there's like a little period now with it, can't even put on past, man.
3:02
[SPEAKER_06]: See like we put on past like, you know, in the locker room, the first night.
3:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, the night before we slept in our pants, it seemed like to me, you know, but I know that's definitely not the case, but it was like as soon as they could put the pads on, they did with us, but right here was the veterans man, and they used the mini camps all the way up through that point to get everybody adjusted, there was no a dozen period at all.
3:24
[SPEAKER_06]: for anybody.
3:25
[SPEAKER_06]: And so yeah, man, it was like, it was such, it was so nice to them, tell you that's big subs because all the other stuff that we did lead up to training camp, you know, we have many camps.
3:37
[SPEAKER_06]: These guys have OTAs and all their stuff, you know.
3:39
[SPEAKER_06]: A lot of times back then, the offseason workout programs, where people doing the offseason workout programs on their own, there's really nothing in house like they have now where there's phases.
3:48
[SPEAKER_06]: These phases was not a part of what I grew up, like what I played under.
3:52
[SPEAKER_06]: because a lot of people just went back to California or Pennsylvania where I was at Ohio and they were working out and they expected them to come into the many camps or the camps in shape, in condition, you know what I mean?
4:03
[SPEAKER_06]: So it was a lot different then than it was now.
4:06
[SPEAKER_06]: Then John Gamble came on and then you had the all that became part of
4:10
[SPEAKER_06]: like your money, your money became part of your work.
4:12
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I'm going to work out to you attending in the all season, in order to get some incentive money.
4:17
[SPEAKER_06]: I'll tell you a quick story.
4:18
[SPEAKER_06]: Like one time, there was like a cruise for the Dolphins cruise where these players were going on a cruise and they were going on a bunch of fans.
4:28
[SPEAKER_06]: And these guys, a lot of these guys needed a full week of workouts in order to collect their money.
4:33
[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
4:33
[SPEAKER_06]: So John Gamble had me handle the workout from the crews every time.
4:40
[SPEAKER_06]: Every all for the more every morning, I had to have the work out for the crews for the guys so they can collect their money.
4:48
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, and John trusted me to go there and make sure these guys got, and these dudes got up and they got up and they did the workout.
4:53
[SPEAKER_06]: Now I'm not not John Gamble when it comes to like getting these guys to work out, but we were running and lifting and then we kicked it the rest of the day
5:03
[SPEAKER_06]: So yeah, so it's a little different then than it is now because I can only imagine like, you know, some of these, these, when the guys went home, they probably grinded it out because I'm going to say this.
5:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Some guys come to training camp to get in shape.
5:16
[SPEAKER_06]: Now they, you better have you ask in shape when you're training camp.
5:19
[SPEAKER_06]: And I know these young guys, they should be scared as hell not to come in shape.
5:24
[SPEAKER_06]: I've come in to camp in shape already.
5:27
[SPEAKER_06]: They better already be.
5:28
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
5:29
[SPEAKER_06]: maintain while they were going while they're away, they better put that work in because don't come in here, try to get in shape when you get here because your ask me way behind and you be in the dog house immediately and you don't want to do that as a young guy.
5:43
[SPEAKER_04]: No, definitely there's just last time you said you showed up at camp and then you still went home so I'm a little off with that.
5:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I went home in the night to sleep, to sleep, to sleep, to sleep, to sleep,
5:55
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, you weren't just people just take whatever you say.
5:58
[SPEAKER_06]: They just take little bites, you know, look pieces of it, you know, to me, per they don't take the whole thing and put it in the car.
6:04
[SPEAKER_06]: Let's look at those pieces of it, and then we'll talk about it, you know.
6:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Right, like a man.
6:10
[SPEAKER_07]: Right, they're trying to take your words apart.
6:12
[SPEAKER_07]: They're right.
6:13
[SPEAKER_07]: They're right.
6:14
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, we're not just the media being accused of this.
6:16
[SPEAKER_07]: That's right.
6:17
[SPEAKER_03]: That's exactly right.
6:20
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a counsel as well.
6:22
[SPEAKER_03]: But all that's happened in the dark.
6:23
[SPEAKER_03]: Working, rookie's report.
6:25
[SPEAKER_03]: It's not open yet to the media.
6:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Not open yet to the public, but it will be open soon.
6:29
[SPEAKER_03]: But the big news.
6:30
[SPEAKER_03]: I think the big news that a couple of you guys said we should expect is that Jordan Brooks,
6:37
[SPEAKER_03]: signed an extension.
6:39
[SPEAKER_03]: So he was the last of the foundational pieces as identified by John Eric Sullivan to get an extension.
6:46
[SPEAKER_03]: We saw each and get his money.
6:48
[SPEAKER_03]: We saw a brew get his money.
6:49
[SPEAKER_03]: There was speculation.
6:50
[SPEAKER_03]: Will it happen?
6:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Will it happen?
6:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Will it be trades?
6:53
[SPEAKER_03]: If it hasn't happened yet or they still entertaining trades?
6:56
[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Perkins, I heard you on the all-dolphin podcast say you felt very confident it was going to have to happen before training camp started.
7:06
[SPEAKER_03]: and then Michael leave I have to say it we did the cross talk we did the Dolphins talk fish tank cross talk one month ago and Jews not only did Mike say it would have been either they did the dang numbers.
7:19
[SPEAKER_02]: I said we're 35 million fully guaranteed in between 16 and 17 million per season and we'll lo and behold because me and John Erick Sullivan are like this we're on the same wavelength.
7:30
[SPEAKER_02]: Lo and behold it got in one day night
7:32
[SPEAKER_02]: Monday night, I did a show with Tom, and I said it'll happen before camp.
7:37
[SPEAKER_02]: And I was later it's done.
7:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no, no, no, no, no, no.
7:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, you got to Adam, you got great.
7:45
[SPEAKER_03]: And you got, you know, Winky, Tom, Pell, Sarah's looking for work now, but you got Adam, you have Mike's name or mantra.
7:50
[SPEAKER_03]: You have a wrap of portals.
7:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I think Mike's in the front office, man.
7:53
[SPEAKER_06]: He's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's, he's,
8:01
[SPEAKER_06]: He was great PS in his man.
8:02
[SPEAKER_06]: He's acting like he's at home, man.
8:04
[SPEAKER_06]: He's at the front office.
8:06
[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe he's working from home or something, man.
8:08
[SPEAKER_04]: Dude, dude, dude, we know where this is coming from, man.
8:10
[SPEAKER_04]: Where everything's talked about, they're the same barber.
8:13
[SPEAKER_04]: They go to the barber shop and look at their crafts.
8:16
[SPEAKER_04]: I think this is, I think they're at the same barbershop.
8:18
[SPEAKER_04]: Why do they're at you?
8:19
[SPEAKER_03]: See, this is the same piece for trying to help you.
8:21
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:21
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:22
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:22
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:23
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:24
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:25
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:26
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:27
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:28
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:29
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:30
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:30
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what he's asking.
8:32
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:32
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:33
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:34
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:34
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:36
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:37
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what he's asking.
8:38
[SPEAKER_03]: That
8:44
[SPEAKER_07]: Man, look, I think this was important on a lot of level that I wrote today that look, you started off with the fact that these are the three players that John Eric Sullivan said, where the pillars of the franchise, right?
8:56
[SPEAKER_07]: Devon, H.N.
8:58
[SPEAKER_07]: and A.R.
8:58
[SPEAKER_07]: Brewer, and Jordan Brooks, and you signed all three of them to extensions.
9:02
[SPEAKER_07]: And there was concern you remember in March, after Jalen Waddle got sprayed at that, ooh.
9:09
[SPEAKER_07]: Uh, it is is divine H and really going to be here and and you remember John there were accelermen say that my job is to listen to offer.
9:16
[SPEAKER_07]: So I'm going to listen to all offers, but he got the three pillars signed as it did message the fans, that's a good message to everybody in that locker room going beyond that.
9:28
[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's significant that they gave contract extensions to three guys who are very
9:39
[SPEAKER_07]: unlike the previous regime who gave contract extensions to Tua and Wawel and Ty Reak.
9:45
[SPEAKER_07]: These are better contract extensions and I don't mean to take the shot of those booze, but I mean, I guess I'm gonna have to because I'm talking about the differences between the old regime and the new regime.
9:58
[SPEAKER_07]: And one other thing here is that I think that it's significant that they identify the core players in their first six months, right?
10:06
[SPEAKER_07]: John Eric Sullivan was hired on June January 9th.
10:09
[SPEAKER_07]: Here we are on what July 27th, whatever today is.
10:13
[SPEAKER_07]: All three of those guys have been identified as pillars of the franchise, signed to contract extensions and the good decisions, right?
10:21
[SPEAKER_07]: That sealer is not a, not a pillar, probably because of his age, right?
10:27
[SPEAKER_07]: Austin Jackson, not a pillar, probably because of his injury history.
10:32
[SPEAKER_07]: Patrick Paul, not a pillar, probably because he's a one-year starter.
10:36
[SPEAKER_07]: I like where they drew the lines and probably the reasons they drew the lines.
10:41
[SPEAKER_07]: great job by this new franchise, by this new regime, I should say, I think they, they, they, they told that they can not only talk the talk, but walk the walk, great job, and sign it all three of these guys.
10:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you know, part of you're so right about all that, man.
10:58
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think the reasons that other guys will probably fall in line for some contracts is because of the things that you talked about injuries early in their careers, blah, blah, blah, blah, back to these guys talked about these guys.
11:12
[SPEAKER_06]: And we, I said that we said today on the text stream, right, Mixa, you know, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they, they.
11:18
[SPEAKER_06]: say what they're going to do and they do what they want what they said you know what I mean and I like that about these guys man do what you're do what you're we say so much smoke blown up you know what you know what I mean when it comes yeah it's a bug I see that perks you up didn't you go
11:35
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I mean, you're ready to say if you see, he's like, you know, right, instantaneously stop, you know?
11:43
[SPEAKER_06]: But, you know, these guys have been what we've been waiting for in terms of, you know, just transparency, they're saying one thing and they're saying they're doing the same thing.
11:53
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's not one they're not saying one thing and doing something else, you know, at some point now we need them to be saying one thing and doing something else because we don't need everybody to know our playbook, but when it comes when it comes to this right here, I do appreciate them taking care of the guys, you know, that they said that they coveted as pillars of this football team, you know, and perk you said the best man.
12:17
[SPEAKER_06]: You couldn't ask for better guys to represent the organization, and those are the guys that got to take care.
12:22
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, they represent us off the field very well, but they represent us on the field very well.
12:27
[SPEAKER_06]: And those are the guys that should always be taken care of when it comes to any professional sport, any organization in general.
12:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, juice, you know, I'm a big Larry bird guy, and they said he was one of the greatest trash talkers ever, because they tell you exactly what he was going to do, and then you do it.
12:43
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to catch the ball in the wing.
12:45
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm going to take two dribbles over here and they'll go, I'm going off the glass, nothing, but, you know, and then he would do it and everybody like damn.
12:53
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, I think that's what John Eric Sullivan's been doing.
12:55
[SPEAKER_03]: He literally has told us everything he's going to do and we're so used to coach speak GM speak, but it's all happening.
13:04
[SPEAKER_03]: I think the only thing that may be and I might tap into this a little bit of my trying to tell y'all, the only thing that may be skews from that a little bit is he talked about how his first round draft picks he didn't need to swing for the fences all of the time that he was okay with a double off the wall.
13:22
[SPEAKER_03]: and I think he did take a big cut at Caden Proctor and hopefully it pays off.
13:27
[SPEAKER_03]: But other than that, but even that aligns.
13:30
[SPEAKER_03]: He likes any like big physical guys.
13:32
[SPEAKER_03]: He wanted to build from the inside out.
13:34
[SPEAKER_03]: So it's like everything he has said and it's so early, but it is refreshing and it is kind of fun to watch it happen.
13:44
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, it really is man, and you know, and like you said, we're gonna be getting involved this.
13:49
[SPEAKER_06]: I can't wait for a training camp.
13:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to see how in Perk, I can't wait for you to tell us how these guys are out there performing when they, you know, everybody's everybody in Jason Taylor said it didn't you know, the underwear lipsticks or whatever it is.
14:01
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean, that's
14:03
[SPEAKER_06]: That's great, you know, it looks great, but I can't wait to see these guys how they react when they start hitting each other when it's a little thud's going on I never say tackling but thud in I want to hear it.
14:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Are they going to mean you know are they going to be passed popping or it's going to sound like you know butterflies out there having sex You know to me it's like what's what's going to be about out here?
14:22
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what kind of team are we going to have
14:25
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I'm talking about big set.
14:27
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't know what you're there with the rest of man But it's a bunch of butterflies playing around.
14:33
[SPEAKER_06]: You see the world each other You can't hear anything Seth all you just do is see the activity You can't hear anything you see the activity and you're like wondering what they're doing.
14:43
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what the hell they're doing big Seth can't believe you act like you don't know the hell I'm talking about right now
14:47
[SPEAKER_03]: You're in a butterfly capital, the world's right up the street, but I'm just not familiar with this scenario.
14:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Right, well, I'm just telling you what I'm talking about, man.
14:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I just want to hear some wind and wind and stud practice.
14:56
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to hear studs, you know what I mean?
14:58
[SPEAKER_06]: And I, you know, I'm looking forward to seeing how these guys act, but we know when there's, you know, there are in half paths.
15:04
[SPEAKER_06]: When they're in full paths, whenever it is, man, and I think there's going to be, I just want to make sure it's a physical practice that's held, you know, safely.
15:13
[SPEAKER_06]: I think, but I think it's going to be a physical practice.
15:15
[SPEAKER_06]: It won't be club mad anymore around here, man.
15:18
[SPEAKER_06]: I do a big Jimmy Johnson, you know, two days or 14 days.
15:21
[SPEAKER_06]: For a long time, we'll pass, we'll be in that crack, you know what I mean?
15:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Survival the fitness and we killed everybody.
15:28
[SPEAKER_06]: We went in every season, has half healthy because that dumb ass dude man.
15:32
[SPEAKER_06]: But that's a whole different story, man.
15:34
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, NFLPA's got it.
15:36
[SPEAKER_06]: They got it hooked up a little bit better now.
15:37
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think the league really wants the best players to be healthy going into the season.
15:42
[SPEAKER_06]: But I just can't wait to get out there.
15:44
[SPEAKER_06]: Hopefully here are some pads cracking, you know, even, you know, just on thuds.
15:48
[SPEAKER_06]: And I hope that there's a response.
15:50
[SPEAKER_06]: Don't get your ass hit and then not respond to it, man.
15:53
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to see some fights.
15:55
[SPEAKER_06]: I want to see all kinds of stuff out there, big Seth.
15:57
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not sure.
15:59
[SPEAKER_02]: What's that right here's how you're going to know last year when they went up against the lions in August everyone who is there said I've never seen the team lose a practice before and the lions clown them went up around the field push them around beat them up we can't lose a joint practices this year we put up a fight against the giants I think Washington's the other one don't be losing the joint practices this year right here's a big
16:27
[SPEAKER_07]: Now, you know, half happened selling one a physical aggressive team and we're going to see that in practices.
16:34
[SPEAKER_07]: However, here's one difference between them and other coaches half is said he doesn't want that second joint practice because that's the one that usually results in all the fights.
16:45
[SPEAKER_07]: One scene got their butt kicked the day before and then that riot kicks me in the next day and it's like through technique.
16:51
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm hoping it is there.
16:52
[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
16:54
[SPEAKER_07]: That's an interesting.
16:55
[SPEAKER_07]: I've never heard any other quotes take that take that, you know, perspective or take that approach because usually it's like, All right, they looked our ass the next day.
17:04
[SPEAKER_07]: We want revenge or we want their ass.
17:06
[SPEAKER_07]: Let's see if we can hold the field.
17:08
[SPEAKER_07]: He's he's like no one practice is enough.
17:11
[SPEAKER_07]: I think that's a smart approach.
17:13
[SPEAKER_07]: I haven't seen it, but it's a different approach is that it's another difference between this this regime and the previous regime and probably this regime and other regimes in the NFL.
17:24
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know if that's a trend.
17:27
[SPEAKER_07]: We're going to see how he approaches training camp also, because you know the trend nowadays is the veterans don't do a whole lot in day-to-day practices.
17:37
[SPEAKER_07]: They get most of their work in the joint practices, they don't like much in the pre-season games.
17:42
[SPEAKER_07]: Let's see if Sully and Half stick to that script or if they break off and do something different.
17:48
[SPEAKER_07]: I like different.
17:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, they only got stick veterans on the team perk.
17:51
[SPEAKER_03]: I mean, it's all good.
17:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm right there with you and look, this is what you get teams that are exceptionally young and teams that maybe are on the wrong side of the bell curve in the talent category and the way they compete is to be physical, I mean that's great.
18:16
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, it's that whole takes no talent thing and what can you control what can't you control.
18:21
[SPEAKER_03]: So no, I'm with you for sure.
18:22
[SPEAKER_03]: I definitely definitely That's what else big set.
18:26
[SPEAKER_06]: What else big set is that with a new regime, you know, that's when all the guys have to go out there and work.
18:33
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, now if this was their second year in, there are a couple of guys that might not have to work.
18:38
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, somebody's guy, they might give them a day off or two.
18:42
[SPEAKER_06]: But with a new regime, everybody's got to go out there and work.
18:45
[SPEAKER_06]: Everybody's got to go out there and show up.
18:47
[SPEAKER_06]: Like a pressure.
18:47
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you don't get that, you know, you don't get that luxury, especially if you're young guys.
18:52
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, we saw, we saw Rookie's getting days off under Mike McDaniel.
18:57
[SPEAKER_06]: What the hell is that about?
18:59
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean real talk.
19:00
[SPEAKER_06]: You don't do that's not that's not how it works, man You know, I guess I'm better at it.
19:05
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm in here at 678-9-10 years.
19:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Whatever might be but rookies Get days off.
19:11
[SPEAKER_06]: Are you out of your damn mind man?
19:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, you know
19:14
[SPEAKER_06]: that was that part right there now you got a whole group of guys that were these guys were you know half and and you know and they have no you know allegiance to anybody.
19:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Maybe some of the free-aided state brought in maybe some of the draft picks.
19:27
[SPEAKER_06]: They're kind of that's the only kind of alignment you would have with some of these dudes.
19:31
[SPEAKER_06]: But everybody said go out there and work.
19:32
[SPEAKER_06]: They got us showing proof and I'd like to fact that that's how things are going to be nowadays you know until these guys get their street credit.
19:40
[SPEAKER_06]: It's till they get
19:41
[SPEAKER_06]: the point where, you know what, you've earned the day off, but I guarantee won't be none of these young dudes.
19:47
[SPEAKER_06]: I know that young dudes get no time off.
19:50
[SPEAKER_06]: Hell, you should have seen, you should have seen Irrefriger and Mark Ingram and him taking time off, and I've got to run all the reps for scouting this shit.
19:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, where are you at, man, I'm going to get a get out of here.
20:03
[SPEAKER_06]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no
20:21
[SPEAKER_06]: seeing, you know, I mean, within the rules, how much work they put in, man, because you've seen it out there.
20:28
[SPEAKER_06]: Perk, it was close.
20:29
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, man.
20:30
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I think this is how you're ready for football.
20:33
[SPEAKER_06]: If this, if you're not practicing football,
20:36
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
20:36
[SPEAKER_07]: And look, you know, I'm not a big defender of Mike McDaniel.
20:41
[SPEAKER_07]: I will speak for him in this sense.
20:44
[SPEAKER_07]: I didn't agree with this, but he thought, for example, instead of running sprints at the end of practice, you would do better by running more plays in the last segment of practice.
20:55
[SPEAKER_07]: And I don't agree.
20:56
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm what you do.
20:57
[SPEAKER_07]: So, tough enough.
20:59
[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, tighten up, tighten up your operation, tough enough as a physical violence for it.
21:04
[SPEAKER_07]: You have to get these dudes ready.
21:06
[SPEAKER_07]: You have to hit.
21:07
[SPEAKER_07]: You have to do physical conditioning.
21:10
[SPEAKER_07]: You have to do aggressive things.
21:13
[SPEAKER_07]: And Mike McDaniel didn't do that.
21:15
[SPEAKER_07]: It was a different approach.
21:17
[SPEAKER_07]: Hathley and Sully are more old school they are going to go with that more physical aggressive approach that more physical aggressive style.
21:25
[SPEAKER_07]: I think it's going to work better.
21:26
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm I'm looking forward to what they show us because I mean I you you look at and as you said earlier you look at how they're backing up their their talk.
21:38
[SPEAKER_07]: And it's all line and up so far with sign and the players and purge and the roster and all of this kind of stuff.
21:45
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm excited about what we're about to see.
21:47
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm not saying they're going to win a Super Bowl, but I think the franchise is definitely on a winning track.
21:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't take that, Chad.
21:55
[SPEAKER_06]: If you, if you're in a boxing match, Chad, you know, I mean, if you've got a boxing, you got one coming up.
22:00
[SPEAKER_06]: You, you're going to prep by just doing shadow boxing, man, or you're going to take a couple blows, man.
22:05
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
22:06
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, shadow boxing like else, pretty.
22:07
[SPEAKER_06]: You look good.
22:08
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, I'm with Swiss to my feet.
22:10
[SPEAKER_06]: You take one of those, but you ain't took one of those before now.
22:13
[SPEAKER_06]: It becomes a problem, right?
22:14
[SPEAKER_04]: No, fortunately, I grew up boxing, so I can tell you.
22:19
[SPEAKER_06]: You big ass hand looks like you've been playing.
22:23
[SPEAKER_04]: And I don't know if Savak can do this if he's taught Swap and Lepros, but maybe put a pull up their rope like, who would have boxing match on everybody that's so right now?
22:32
[SPEAKER_04]: And I think I would take care of your generic atricas.
22:35
[SPEAKER_04]: But yes, yes.
22:39
[SPEAKER_04]: Yes, I've got to get the ball the far.
22:43
[SPEAKER_04]: Look problem is the problem is it all like it's like you always bring out the mic Tyson bit
22:50
[SPEAKER_04]: It all looks good to get pushed to the mouth right and that and that happens in law.
22:57
[SPEAKER_04]: That happens in every aspect of life like if everything's going cool everything's working out It's great you put up with what they put up 72 points or what was it like 70 burglars 70 It's all working out like that it looks great
23:15
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, so which might be a little cooler.
23:17
[SPEAKER_04]: You're a little like you're in there.
23:19
[SPEAKER_04]: And all of a sudden, you're a glass of milk.
23:22
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
23:23
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah.
23:24
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't like doing this anymore.
23:25
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm done.
23:26
[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no.
23:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, go, they call, oh, go.
23:30
[SPEAKER_03]: All right.
23:31
[SPEAKER_03]: So Chris Perkins has something he wants to get off his chest.
23:34
[SPEAKER_03]: This is the first time a fish tank live history.
23:37
[SPEAKER_03]: But Perk next to us last night.
23:39
[SPEAKER_03]: That's a great balance.
23:42
[SPEAKER_03]: I wanted to discuss something on the show.
23:44
[SPEAKER_03]: He went producer, he started dropping demands.
23:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I think his dice chips went up.
23:50
[SPEAKER_03]: People are losing jobs and he has to be and perked his got a little bit more valuable.
23:54
[SPEAKER_03]: And that's what we're at.
23:56
[SPEAKER_03]: So Perk, I don't even want to tee it up.
23:58
[SPEAKER_03]: I just, this is the floor as yours.
24:01
[SPEAKER_03]: I have thoughts.
24:03
[SPEAKER_03]: And I imagine some of us do as well.
24:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Perk talked to us, man.
24:07
[SPEAKER_03]: What's going on here at the quarterback position?
24:10
[SPEAKER_07]: All right, so there is my message to dolphins fans and I think this message has been received by Ashley and Sully.
24:19
[SPEAKER_07]: You don't need Malik Willis to play at a all-of-fame level next season.
24:24
[SPEAKER_07]: You need Malik Willis to play at a pro ball level next season, and you need to give Malik Willis a quality defense.
24:33
[SPEAKER_07]: Don't put it all on the quarterback.
24:36
[SPEAKER_07]: We can look at this ESPN top 10 quarterback ranking that just came out.
24:41
[SPEAKER_07]: And I will remind you, this came out at the result of a poll from NFL, Scouts, and executives and coaches.
24:49
[SPEAKER_07]: This is what they thought.
24:52
[SPEAKER_07]: The last two Super Bowl winning quarterbacks were not in the top 10.
24:56
[SPEAKER_07]: Jalen Hurts and Sam Darnell were both honorable mentioned.
25:00
[SPEAKER_07]: Some of the guys that were in the top 10,
25:03
[SPEAKER_07]: Josh Allen, number one, never been to a Super Bowl.
25:07
[SPEAKER_07]: That NMVP never been to a Super Bowl.
25:10
[SPEAKER_07]: What about Lamar Jackson, right?
25:11
[SPEAKER_07]: Two or three MVPs, never been to a Super Bowl.
25:15
[SPEAKER_07]: Joe Burrell has been to one Super Bowl.
25:18
[SPEAKER_07]: He didn't win it.
25:19
[SPEAKER_07]: Look, if you took Patrick Mahomes out of that top 10,
25:24
[SPEAKER_07]: The remaining nine are no better than the seven honorable mentions.
25:29
[SPEAKER_07]: The remaining nine have four Super Bowl appearances and one Super Bowl win.
25:35
[SPEAKER_07]: The honorable mentions have four Super Bowl appearances and two Super Bowl wins.
25:41
[SPEAKER_07]: And the honorable mentions all play with top defenses.
25:44
[SPEAKER_07]: And so my message here is it's not all about the quarterback.
25:49
[SPEAKER_07]: it's not all about Joe Burrow or Lamar Jackson or Josh Allen.
25:54
[SPEAKER_07]: It's about having balance, like Sam Darnell had, like Brock Purdy had, like Jalen Hurts has.
26:02
[SPEAKER_07]: That's how you build a winning team in the NFL nowadays.
26:05
[SPEAKER_07]: I've told you guys that the last three Super Bowls,
26:10
[SPEAKER_07]: All 16s have had a top four defense and scoring defense.
26:15
[SPEAKER_07]: Okay.
26:16
[SPEAKER_07]: That's significant.
26:17
[SPEAKER_07]: They haven't all had a top 10 offense and Kansas City is the team that has not had the top 10 offense.
26:23
[SPEAKER_07]: And you think Patrick LeHomes, Patrick with Holmes, he's aided by an outstanding defense.
26:29
[SPEAKER_07]: So my message is Patrick, but Malik Willis does not have to be Superman.
26:34
[SPEAKER_07]: He does not have to be a hall of
26:37
[SPEAKER_07]: He needs to be accompanied by a good defense.
26:40
[SPEAKER_07]: That's the way I think Sully and Half are going to build this team.
26:44
[SPEAKER_07]: That's the recent NFL trend.
26:46
[SPEAKER_07]: And I think that's what's going to win you Super Bowls in the next couple of years, because that's the way that NFL is going.
26:55
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm like almost I tried to tell you they're a big set it did I got a lot of thoughts and You got a big set what you got a big set.
27:05
[SPEAKER_03]: No, I'm just laughing because what I'd say I'm just it part going Terentino doing I tried to tell you all I have for sure
27:11
[SPEAKER_06]: I like it.
27:12
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, I think it is all about the quarterback perk.
27:15
[SPEAKER_03]: I'm not saying that you don't need these other components, but look at these quarterbacks.
27:19
[SPEAKER_03]: These guys you're talking about, you're making it sound like they're a bunch of, you know, journeymen, that list alone.
27:26
[SPEAKER_03]: There's 17 quarterbacks on that list.
27:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Only three of them of the 17 were drafted outside of the first round.
27:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So there's 14 first round picks in there.
27:34
[SPEAKER_03]: There's two of them that were, let's see, there were only two who were drafted in the position lower than the league.
27:40
[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, all of these quarterbacks that are being rated high are quarterbacks that were thought to be great players coming out of college and then apparently all of the town evaluators feel that they are still great quarterbacks.
27:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Six of those guys were number one overall draft picks, six of them, 12 of them were drafted in the top 10.
28:01
[SPEAKER_03]: This is a collection of passers who were considered elite and they are continuing to be considered elite pros.
28:09
[SPEAKER_03]: They're guys, these are the silver spoon players in the national football league.
28:14
[SPEAKER_03]: They were expected to deliver, they are delivering and if you, you know, you said, hey, take Patrick Mahomes out of it.
28:20
[SPEAKER_03]: You can't take Patrick Mahomes out of it because he is Superman.
28:23
[SPEAKER_03]: And you know, who else is Superman?
28:25
[SPEAKER_03]: Another guy, Tom Brady.
28:27
[SPEAKER_03]: So, you know, if you look at the last 15 Super Bowls perk.
28:30
[SPEAKER_03]: So that gives you what 30 starting quarterback positions 11 of those 30 are Patrick Mahomes and Tom Brady.
28:38
[SPEAKER_03]: And they're just better than all those other guys who you said, one MVP's and everything else, they can't get to the Super Bowl because they couldn't get past Patrick Mahomes or Tom Brady.
28:47
[SPEAKER_03]: I think ultimately elite quarterbacks carry you to those positions.
28:51
[SPEAKER_03]: And if you look at those 30 different starting quarterbacks and those last 15 Super goals, it's a ton of guys who are all high draft
29:00
[SPEAKER_03]: picks with the occasional just freak show unicorn and Brady and Brock party.
29:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody else is like a top traffic.
29:08
[SPEAKER_03]: These are quarterbacks that that again, they were considered to be a lead teams traded up teams mortgage the farm to go get those guys and everybody still thinks they're elite and they find their ways into the Super Bowl.
29:22
[SPEAKER_03]: You're not finding a bunch of journeymen starting quarterbacks in the Super Bowl.
29:26
[SPEAKER_03]: You're just not.
29:27
[SPEAKER_07]: But yeah, here's, but great, and let me say this over there.
29:30
[SPEAKER_07]: Here's my point when you look at Brady and Mahome skew everything.
29:35
[SPEAKER_07]: It's like saying in the 90s in the NBA, you need it, Michael Jordan.
29:39
[SPEAKER_07]: Of course, he's the greatest.
29:40
[SPEAKER_07]: He's the goal.
29:41
[SPEAKER_07]: But you look at these other quarterbacks like Bonyx and Drake May and Baker May feel, look at where their defense is right.
29:50
[SPEAKER_07]: look at look at the hope that they have said you you're your program to think quarterback quarterback quarterback gets all the credit what I'm telling you is look at this in a bigger picture look at how their defense helps them get to the suit.
30:05
[SPEAKER_07]: I'm going to try to deal for them.
30:08
[SPEAKER_03]: What's that?
30:09
[SPEAKER_03]: Find me the track deal for on that list like they're all in lead guys.
30:14
[SPEAKER_03]: They're not well at Jared golf is elite.
30:16
[SPEAKER_03]: He's a number one overall pick and he's take it.
30:19
[SPEAKER_03]: He wanted to listen to one.
30:22
[SPEAKER_03]: He took one team.
30:24
[SPEAKER_03]: Mr. Bowl and he damn near what have been these boys took the Rams.
30:29
[SPEAKER_07]: He was alone for the ride, the Rams actually won it when they had Matthew Safford.
30:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Now they're number one overall draft pick.
30:40
[SPEAKER_03]: You can call Nick Folls a journeyman, and by the way, the year that he started in the Super Bowl, the number two overall draft pick, Carson Wentz won 10 games before Nick came.
30:51
[SPEAKER_03]: They had to have a list.
30:53
[SPEAKER_03]: You don't get this before that.
30:56
[SPEAKER_07]: You Carson went to have what 33 touchdowns and six-intercepts.
31:00
[SPEAKER_07]: He was going to be the MVP that year, right?
31:02
[SPEAKER_07]: Right.
31:03
[SPEAKER_07]: And Nick follows the career journeyman finish it off.
31:06
[SPEAKER_07]: Why?
31:07
[SPEAKER_07]: Because he had a defense and a run game.
31:09
[SPEAKER_07]: When Denver wanted in 2015, do you know that Peyton Manning and Brock Oswaller combined for 19 touchdowns and 23 interceptions?
31:18
[SPEAKER_07]: It was the no-fly zone defense that won them the Super Bowl.
31:21
[SPEAKER_07]: And you want to give credit to Peyton Manning because he was the quarterback.
31:25
[SPEAKER_07]: I did it.
31:26
[SPEAKER_07]: Patrick in the home lost to Tampa Bay at the defense, right?
31:30
[SPEAKER_07]: He had no time to pass.
31:32
[SPEAKER_07]: Look at what happened to Drake May.
31:34
[SPEAKER_07]: He had no time to pass, right?
31:36
[SPEAKER_07]: I mean, the defense at your program, you got to look beyond what your program to think.
31:42
[SPEAKER_07]: The league wants you to think quarterback quarterback, quarterback.
31:45
[SPEAKER_07]: The quarterback is the single most important player on the field, true.
31:50
[SPEAKER_07]: But recently, he's not the reason that teams win the Super Bowl.
31:55
[SPEAKER_03]: You're not winning without one.
31:57
[SPEAKER_07]: Whether know you're not you're not that's not what I'm saying you are.
32:01
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, you are.
32:02
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, you are.
32:03
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, you are.
32:03
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes, you are.
32:04
[SPEAKER_07]: You had the MVP in the Super Bowl last year Josh Sweck could have had it the year before, but your program to think, oh, office, give it to Kim and Walker.
32:13
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, they don't even wait to the game right and just like Seattle blew it just like Seattle blew it They want to Russell Wilson to be the MVP and they try to throw it and it should have been you know Martian lens look they always like like perks even Tom Brady come on You talk about Tom Brady big set.
32:29
[SPEAKER_06]: He's blessed with a top 10 defense every single right.
32:32
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, he's won
32:34
[SPEAKER_06]: Every single one he's won is defense was like six you're first second, you know, eight What I'm like first again seven eight every single defense.
32:44
[SPEAKER_06]: He's played his been a top 10 defense He's great of course, but you We talked about this before defense and run game is what wins it pay to anyone in second one with the run game and a defense right But we're probably saying this you don't have to be a lead as a quarterback you just don't have to fuck it up
33:04
[SPEAKER_07]: All right, that's all I was talking about in the week.
33:06
[SPEAKER_07]: Well, that's not right.
33:07
[SPEAKER_07]: He doesn't have to be my homes or Brady.
33:09
[SPEAKER_07]: He can be Sam Darnl.
33:11
[SPEAKER_07]: He can be Jaylen Hertz, and he can have a ring.
33:18
[SPEAKER_02]: I think you're right to a point.
33:21
[SPEAKER_02]: I think the way the league is evolving it's tougher to have that superstar quarterback take up 25% of your cap and still put on the field a great team that can win I will say though, if you do have that superstar quarterback who does take up 25% of your cap like them homies ever That's a champagne problem, and that's a great problem to have but not every one of those guys in that list or probably work 25% of the cap
33:44
[SPEAKER_02]: That's the thing and it's kind of like how the NBA has evolved where for many years you got to have a Super team to win now you've had eight champions and eight years all different teams You got to have one or two stars.
33:58
[SPEAKER_02]: You don't need like four and that leaves evolved the NFL is slowly evolving too But Josh Allen might not have one of Super Bowl Lamar Jackson might not have one of Super Bowl, but having those guys
34:13
[SPEAKER_02]: each year is like starting a handle poker with pocket aces.
34:17
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a short cut.
34:18
[SPEAKER_02]: There's no way around it.
34:19
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a great playoff.
34:22
[SPEAKER_02]: You're going to win your 10 to 12 games and it's a short cut and it's an easier path to win even if you're going to take up a larger chunk of your salary gap.
34:32
[SPEAKER_02]: But perks not necessarily wrong.
34:34
[SPEAKER_02]: It's just I don't know for fully there yet and if a lot of these head coaches and GMs They're gonna take the Superstar quarterback at the end of the day I will figure the rest of it out and I'll try to put together a roster with less money on the camp level But so I think you're both kind of right, but you know, it's tough.
34:52
[SPEAKER_02]: I know Josh Allen Lamar May who was great last year for the painting those guys have one super bowl
34:59
[SPEAKER_02]: But man, I'd rather start a season with them than Willah's at the end of the day.
35:05
[SPEAKER_02]: I think that's kind of how I feel.
35:06
[SPEAKER_02]: But Perk that wrong, it's just because I think that's the least.
35:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Look at those names.
35:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Look at those names.
35:12
[SPEAKER_03]: These are bad guys.
35:14
[SPEAKER_03]: You're picking up off the trash heap.
35:16
[SPEAKER_03]: you're talking about guys who are drafting third overall seventh overall guys who are winning MVP's guys who are leading the lead in passing like these are these are elite players yeah i agree i disagree i disagree set i disagree they're not elite players they're players who are put up big numbers two of their pain like they're really players
35:34
[SPEAKER_07]: That's not all of them right, who isn't.
35:37
[SPEAKER_07]: But Nick's had to put up any big numbers.
35:40
[SPEAKER_07]: And Nick doesn't on the list.
35:42
[SPEAKER_07]: I know, but look, he's not on the list.
35:44
[SPEAKER_07]: He didn't let me finish.
35:45
[SPEAKER_07]: He probably would have gone to the Super Bowl if he didn't get injured, right?
35:49
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
35:49
[SPEAKER_03]: And he was a bit hard of that.
35:50
[SPEAKER_07]: But he was, but he's not going to the Hall of Fame.
35:54
[SPEAKER_07]: Jalen Hurts, if Jalen Hurts gets to the Hall of Fame, it will be because the team took him there.
36:04
[SPEAKER_03]: and when he has played in two and most super roles played in two super roles he he bullied a nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nomad nom
36:32
[SPEAKER_03]: is that we think we think you know why this is because you look at debts and that's why everyone thinks all sand Donald couldn't play no sand Arnold had the stench of the New York that's how they need to be washed down they feel this how good do you think Jerry golf is oh my god give me any of them
36:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Give me any one of all of them are better than anybody we've had in decades.
36:57
[SPEAKER_04]: Seth, Seth, what?
36:59
[SPEAKER_04]: Wait, wait, wait, wait, I think Seth hit on a point that you'll both agree and juice.
37:03
[SPEAKER_04]: I need your pay attention.
37:04
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't want you to occurs.
37:06
[SPEAKER_04]: When you have, when you have when you have that leader at that position, it makes everybody better.
37:15
[SPEAKER_07]: Correct.
37:17
[SPEAKER_06]: correct right to I think I really like look I we're down three touch sounds but we got our guy and we we know well his his his thing about it like I've had multiple quarterbacks other than marino right one of my one the most about not even the most talented guy that has a quarterback was J Feeler
37:39
[SPEAKER_06]: but he was a great leader though, you know what I mean?
37:42
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, he was a great leader.
37:43
[SPEAKER_06]: And that guy with a great defense and a run game.
37:46
[SPEAKER_06]: That team, actually after I left, probably should have done way more than they did because they had a run game or had a great defense and had a great leader.
37:56
[SPEAKER_06]: That team probably came up shorted in us.
37:58
[SPEAKER_06]: One year, I was there, we had 19 first round picks on the Dolphins.
38:02
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
38:02
[SPEAKER_06]: Some of them, you know, cast-offs, whatever it might have been.
38:05
[SPEAKER_06]: But that, that, you talk about town, that's the same like a town of the team.
38:09
[SPEAKER_06]: But Jay Feeler's team was a team that the quarterback that wasn't his town in his half, maybe half the quarterback's going to lead a great leader, a great competitor, great defense in a run game, that team might have been the best don'ts his team that I've been a fan of.
38:25
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, when I was, you know, I wasn't a fan of team until 93, when they drafts me
38:33
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, so I'm with you.
38:35
[SPEAKER_06]: I mean, I just like, when it comes to like, let's get back to the really the point right here and like, what we're talking about here, we're really talking about Malik Willis.
38:43
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
38:44
[SPEAKER_06]: The whole point that's whole thing is about Malik Willis.
38:47
[SPEAKER_06]: And Kenny Lee this team and to, you know, obviously we're not asked for big things this year, but Kenny be the guy for the next few years to lead us to whatever promised land we're looking at.
38:58
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think that the question that what Perk is saying is correct, and I think that for sure, I think for sure, that that Sully and half are going to build this freaking defense up where Malik and HN and a few more wives use it to get older.
39:15
[SPEAKER_06]: are going to be successful, but I guarantee they're going to focus on that defense first is what they've been doing.
39:22
[SPEAKER_06]: With some of the guys they've gotten, some of the guys they're resigned, and we'll talk a little bit more about the resigning, you know, when it comes Jordan, those guys, but you know, that defense is going to be the bell count for this team.
39:33
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think they're going to build everything around that team, and Malik is going to be
39:40
[SPEAKER_06]: Flubbed up, so grab.
39:42
[SPEAKER_06]: Flubbed up, and not flubbed up.
39:46
[SPEAKER_06]: I think that's what, you don't have to be great at the quarterback position in order for your team to be really, really good.
39:52
[SPEAKER_06]: If you're decent, like, we talked about Tom Brady a little bit.
39:55
[SPEAKER_06]: I talked about Brady's defense was.
39:57
[SPEAKER_06]: Look, Tom Brady, go down there and score you seven defense gets a three now.
40:00
[SPEAKER_06]: Next time you know, Tom Brady's gonna get another touchdown or a field goal, next thing you know.
40:05
[SPEAKER_06]: it's up 14 nothing or 10 nothing, you know?
40:08
[SPEAKER_06]: And then after that, everybody on the offensive side of scrambling because that defense was giving them ball the ball back over, you don't score a bunch of points if the defense isn't giving you the ball back over and over and over again.
40:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Right, but we also see teams that get the ball back over and over and over again and then they can't capitalize on Right, well, I'm not short field though.
40:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Take away.
40:31
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm talking about all that short feels turnovers short feels field goals short field
40:39
[SPEAKER_07]: Sarah, let me ask you this.
40:40
[SPEAKER_07]: Let me ask you this.
40:41
[SPEAKER_07]: So here's what I envision.
40:43
[SPEAKER_07]: I use the Russell Wilson analogy a lot when he was in Seattle.
40:47
[SPEAKER_07]: Russell Wilson, they won with with with defense and run game right.
40:54
[SPEAKER_07]: That's that's how they won Russell Wilson may timely plays.
40:58
[SPEAKER_07]: But it was really the Legion of Boom and Be Smoke that drove that team.
41:03
[SPEAKER_07]: Russell made the timely play.
41:04
[SPEAKER_07]: Russell is a ten-time pro baller.
41:06
[SPEAKER_07]: If I'm not mistaken.
41:07
[SPEAKER_07]: Russell is a Hall of Famer, but he was never the number one reason that the Seahawks won.
41:13
[SPEAKER_07]: They won because of Legion of Boom and they just told me they got a whole way.
41:17
[SPEAKER_07]: We're back.
41:18
[SPEAKER_07]: They do, Seth, but that, but that he's not the number one reason that they won.
41:23
[SPEAKER_07]: Terry, listen, Terry, branch odds, not the number one reason that the still is one, is he?
41:28
[SPEAKER_07]: No, that's not.
41:29
[SPEAKER_07]: We're, we're greasy, I knew that was coming.
41:34
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't need to think differently because history tells me that you need a good quarterback to win the suit.
41:49
[SPEAKER_03]: No, you're talking a little bit earlier, yeah.
41:52
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll go, I'll go, let's, we'll stay with the leaked quarterback play.
41:55
[SPEAKER_07]: There's not the reason that they won the Super Bowl last year.
41:58
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what?
41:58
[SPEAKER_03]: They did win the Super Bowl before then.
42:01
[SPEAKER_03]: They didn't win the Super Bowl since when, since they had rough rules from playing at best.
42:06
[SPEAKER_04]: And, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and, and,
42:17
[SPEAKER_03]: three or whatever they went.
42:18
[SPEAKER_03]: You need to have Jesus, they're my way.
42:22
[SPEAKER_07]: Geal paid the way for for for say I'm Donald.
42:25
[SPEAKER_07]: They were a decent team with free.
42:27
[SPEAKER_07]: They're a team up.
42:28
[SPEAKER_07]: Her funds pays the way.
42:31
[SPEAKER_03]: It saves the way.
42:32
[SPEAKER_07]: Listen, Kirk Cosms can take a team from six wins to 10 wins, but he can't take them from 10 wins to a Super Bowl championship.
42:41
[SPEAKER_03]: What does that mean in this context?
42:43
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know.
42:44
[SPEAKER_07]: You're not going to get it now, I get it, so I want to pay for this.
42:47
[SPEAKER_06]: two of the way Malik is gonna win several of this year.
42:51
[SPEAKER_07]: Two of the way, if you go to pay me, if you get Kirk Cousins a defense and a run game like Sam Darnall had, I bet he could do it.
43:03
[SPEAKER_07]: That's what I'm saying.
43:04
[SPEAKER_07]: You don't have to be a whole of thing talent.
43:07
[SPEAKER_07]: You're having a trouble season.
43:09
[SPEAKER_07]: You don't have no problems.
43:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Concept cousins can do it.
43:12
[SPEAKER_03]: You know how many everybody bets is nothing which which with person.
43:16
[SPEAKER_03]: Everybody knows their cousins can do it.
43:19
[SPEAKER_03]: They put guaranteed money up on the table.
43:21
[SPEAKER_03]: He collects hundreds of millions of dollars and he never does it doesn't matter where he's been.
43:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody's been.
43:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Nobody's been hiring.
43:28
[SPEAKER_07]: Nobody hires her cousin soon.
43:31
[SPEAKER_03]: to win a Super Bowl, right?
43:37
[SPEAKER_03]: You know what, I'm not good.
43:38
[SPEAKER_03]: This feels like arguing with Harvey Green, where the goal post has got moved.
43:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I want to stick, I want to stay, I want to stay on past here.
43:45
[SPEAKER_03]: Here's a bill.
43:47
[SPEAKER_03]: John Eric Sullivan and Jeff Haffley made one big move to pay one guy and it was at the quarterback position, right?
43:55
[SPEAKER_03]: So they decided that the one position they were going to invest in was the guy who was under center.
44:01
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, if you look at where Malik's draft status was and what his history is, history tells you that guy has not won a suit in the last 15 years.
44:11
[SPEAKER_03]: You don't have a guy that's even playing him to Super Bowl like that.
44:14
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, you got, right, I mean, Brock party, you could throw Brock party as an example.
44:18
[SPEAKER_03]: I guess you could, you know, total free, total free show anomaly.
44:23
[SPEAKER_03]: It'll never happen again, right?
44:25
[SPEAKER_03]: It was my full contract.
44:25
[SPEAKER_04]: It was my full contract.
44:26
[SPEAKER_04]: It's a rookie contract.
44:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Nick holds was drafted in the third round, actually, to spot the head of, I think 86.
44:32
[SPEAKER_03]: So he's the closest comparison, but again, the gear that Nick thought he didn't lead them to the Super Bowl.
44:38
[SPEAKER_03]: What he did knew was hold on and make sure that to juices point, he didn't flub it up.
44:43
[SPEAKER_03]: The number two overall draft pick helped lead that team to 10 wins before he blew out his knee and then he blew out his career.
44:50
[SPEAKER_03]: I don't know what the hell happened to that guy.
44:52
[SPEAKER_03]: But if you don't look at the guys that made it, go just go look at who the starting quarterbacks were for the last 15 Super Bowls, they were all guys that were either drafted high or they were elite players in an entire career.
45:04
[SPEAKER_03]: And yes, I understand your point, build your team with a good defense, build your team with a strong running game, but you better have a quarterback that can play at a high level, especially when it matters most, or you're not getting to the dance.
45:16
[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you.
45:17
[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you, I agree with you.
45:19
[SPEAKER_03]: Hey, we're good.
45:19
[SPEAKER_07]: We should probably get on the beat.
45:22
[SPEAKER_06]: You said, you said, you said it has to be a meet, now you just got to have a guy, he said a high level, I think they are a Most is that you didn't think all you know, do you need to got it, you know, maybe it's well when it's when it's, you know, not good in time
45:39
[SPEAKER_03]: You need a lead or you have to get lucky with a guy that doesn't really need a guy that doesn't flow up and up if you got a good writing game.
45:45
[SPEAKER_07]: Look at you guys who are in the middle of the wall, man.
45:48
[SPEAKER_07]: Jared golf is not a lead.
45:49
[SPEAKER_07]: Sam Darnall is not a lead.
45:51
[SPEAKER_07]: Jalen Hurts is not a lead.
45:53
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't know, man.
45:55
[SPEAKER_07]: You're assigning a least status because of what the team accomplished and because they were a starting quarterback from the team accomplished big things.
46:03
[SPEAKER_07]: Yes.
46:04
[SPEAKER_07]: You can't do it without that.
46:06
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah.
46:08
[SPEAKER_07]: You can't do it.
46:09
[SPEAKER_07]: But what our difference is, Malik Willis does not have to be the number one reason that the dolphin succeed.
46:15
[SPEAKER_07]: He can be the number three reason behind the run game and the defense.
46:19
[SPEAKER_07]: He has to be good.
46:21
[SPEAKER_07]: The quarterback is really good for the back to go to Super Bowl and have a single pro bowl season in their career and and that good enough for that season.
46:31
[SPEAKER_07]: They don't have to be Hall of Famers rock every quarter back Hall of Fame Sam Darnos not going to the Hall of Fame Jared Bough is not going to the Hall of Fame.
46:40
[SPEAKER_06]: Every quarterback, Nick Seth, Mike Savott, Chad, every quarterback during the season don't have to have some moments where they do something special.
46:50
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
46:51
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, they don't have to be that every single Sunday, the election's like the elite guy probably will.
46:57
[SPEAKER_06]: They don't have, you know, they're going to have to come up with some moments alone during the season to do something special for this football team.
47:06
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, they don't have to be elite or special every single Sunday if you got a great run game in a great defense or a good run game and a great defense or a good defense and a great run game quarterbacks don't hold not now now you don't
47:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Your game has changed like Perk's talking about right used to be passing around a yard You know put up 400 yards and that's how you went football game the game is back to defense and run game Defense and run games what the game is about now, man.
47:36
[SPEAKER_06]: If you got those two it up for one You know, it's a cliche, but it all it travels it travels You gotta have a quarter man.
47:43
[SPEAKER_06]: It doesn't necessarily go in my talk right.
47:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I got a question.
47:46
[SPEAKER_02]: It's a hypothetical question.
47:48
[SPEAKER_02]: Yes, we don't know This year
47:51
[SPEAKER_02]: our quarterback plays well with us.
47:53
[SPEAKER_02]: He's, but he's got no wide receivers to really throw too.
47:55
[SPEAKER_02]: And we know they're.
47:56
[SPEAKER_06]: We don't have to be right.
47:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Don't ever talk about my research.
47:59
[SPEAKER_02]: That's not true.
48:01
[SPEAKER_02]: That's not true left.
48:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, no.
48:03
[SPEAKER_02]: We got no wide receivers to throw to really, you know, it's a young team all around.
48:06
[SPEAKER_02]: So he can play well.
48:08
[SPEAKER_02]: And they could still be picking first or second in the draft.
48:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Are you gonna say, let's our quarterback, let's load up the defense with that pick at number one or two, give me a pass, Russia, or a corner.
48:19
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, are they gonna go for the shortcut and say, love your Malik, give me more or manning because I'm chasing the superstar.
48:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I don't know what they'll do, but that's gonna be the question coming up next April after they're in that type of situation and that would be a great time to revisit this cause, well, this might not play bad, but they still might not win a lot of games and by, if you're just looking for a guy who's
48:41
[SPEAKER_02]: Pretty good, but just load up the team on the running game and stuff.
48:44
[SPEAKER_02]: He's your guy, but would they say, yeah, well, I'm not passing on that.
48:49
[SPEAKER_06]: This is my answer to this question, right?
48:54
[SPEAKER_04]: You know the answer to that right now.
48:56
[SPEAKER_04]: I know Seth O'Leigh with you all know what the answer is.
49:00
[SPEAKER_04]: Loyalty goes about that far.
49:03
[SPEAKER_04]: If you like it with your audience, listen, listen, listen, like listen to this.
49:08
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just so in a question.
49:10
[SPEAKER_06]: So I'm asking, I'm gonna give you my answer right here real quick.
49:14
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm gonna give you a question.
49:16
[SPEAKER_06]: So here's my answer to this.
49:17
[SPEAKER_06]: So you're gonna get more or more manning, but you're gonna have the same town around them, right?
49:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Not necessarily.
49:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, you will.
49:25
[SPEAKER_02]: They got more money.
49:25
[SPEAKER_02]: It's been in free agency.
49:26
[SPEAKER_02]: It's better instead.
49:27
[SPEAKER_02]: They're going to buy a water sea even.
49:28
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, now you want it now.
49:30
[SPEAKER_06]: Now because he's got more.
49:31
[SPEAKER_06]: We've got more money.
49:32
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, 180 million.
49:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah.
49:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Why not give me a leak.
49:35
[SPEAKER_06]: Why not give me a leak?
49:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, I don't know.
49:37
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm just so if the leak goes out there and he doesn't look like he has no clue out there in the football.
49:42
[SPEAKER_06]: That's different.
49:43
[SPEAKER_07]: That's different.
49:44
[SPEAKER_06]: What were you talking about?
49:45
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean, if he plays well, well, they will they look to add someone that's not a court.
49:51
[SPEAKER_02]: If he plays bad, they're taking a quarter back period.
49:53
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, right, that's the way they're supposed to go on, right?
49:56
[SPEAKER_07]: If he plays well, if he might be the other thing, what happens to their credibility if he plays well and you think there's somebody better out there to me, it's like, well, then why did you sign Malik in the first place?
50:11
[SPEAKER_07]: Like, that's a great question to ask him perking with, and I know you know, I think their credibility would take a hit.
50:17
[SPEAKER_07]: It would, but I still think they probably take some more to say, it would be your right.
50:21
[SPEAKER_07]: It's an interesting situation.
50:23
[SPEAKER_02]: And that's the, that's the thing, because no one expects him to win much, but he could still play halfway.
50:28
[SPEAKER_02]: That's right.
50:29
[SPEAKER_02]: And they can still lose every game.
50:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I mean,
50:32
[SPEAKER_06]: If that is possible, if that is the reason, if he's not the reason that we lose the majority of our games, if he's not the reason we lose games.
50:43
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean, and if we chance to win every game, then what do we do with that in that situation, Mike?
50:48
[SPEAKER_02]: If it's a pick, get more picks and just take every other position.
50:52
[SPEAKER_06]: I think it's around here with talent, right?
50:55
[SPEAKER_06]: It's around here with talent.
50:56
[SPEAKER_06]: Agreed.
50:57
[SPEAKER_03]: That's true.
50:58
[SPEAKER_03]: So I think in that scenario, if they feel that Willis is who he thought he was, if he performs at a high level regardless of what the outcome of those games are,
51:10
[SPEAKER_03]: then and then I think the big question is what do they think of Quinn Ures after a season as well see you as an afterthought at this point yeah no but I think if they think they have a legitimate young backup to him because they're the again remember this is the whole draft the quarterback or sign a quarterback every year or every other year philosophy.
51:30
[SPEAKER_03]: So maybe you don't use your top 10 pick on a quarterback, but maybe we find a guy in the second third, fourth round that we like at the position, or do we like yours and and we can skip a year and find it.
51:42
[SPEAKER_03]: So I think absolutely the evaluation of Malik Willis far beyond wins and losses is important.
51:50
[SPEAKER_06]: We're a quick set.
51:51
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I have just saying, but bottom line is this, Malik Willis
51:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Absolutely.
51:59
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, but he's also proven it with, you know, no, why receivers pretty much a young line or have beaten up line or a couple of guys that haven't been there.
52:09
[SPEAKER_06]: So it's a one-year proven deal for him.
52:12
[SPEAKER_06]: And if he goes out there and he, you know, if he's, if he's average,
52:17
[SPEAKER_06]: with what what what the talent he has around him.
52:19
[SPEAKER_06]: Now look, these guys are gonna get better.
52:21
[SPEAKER_06]: Why was he was gonna get better?
52:22
[SPEAKER_06]: He's got three rookie, why was he was that are probably gonna be get better.
52:25
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, he's always already got Malik Washington.
52:27
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, he's already, you know, gonna be probably a secure and you blanket for him.
52:31
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, those guys are gonna be part of, you know, it's not gonna be, but we need to get vertical.
52:36
[SPEAKER_06]: We got away from vertical because we got a quarterback that we had that we couldn't protect for the most part and was unwilling to take a hit.
52:43
[SPEAKER_06]: So we want to see.
52:43
[SPEAKER_02]: One thing we all can agree on.
52:45
[SPEAKER_06]: Correct.
52:45
[SPEAKER_06]: So we're going to see if there's an opportunity for Malik to be Malik Malik is a guy that's athletic That's mobile has a big arm can you get it down the field, but it's the one-year proof of thing for him.
52:57
[SPEAKER_06]: So Well, like Mike said, I think we're going to revisit all this
53:02
[SPEAKER_06]: after this season or somewhere, maybe not even after this season, maybe halfway through this season.
53:06
[SPEAKER_06]: November.
53:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Right.
53:07
[SPEAKER_06]: I know we were visited this and see where we're at with this.
53:12
[SPEAKER_06]: And then we can decide where we're going to go at that position because the defense obviously is going to be young, we'll see if they're out there making plays, but they're going to be able to do.
53:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I think half defense is going to be better and we think, I don't care how young, I don't care how young they're going to be.
53:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I really don't care if I think they're going to be out there with the guys up front, if we can't, but thing is, what are we going to do on the edge?
53:34
[SPEAKER_06]: The edge is the only thing that bothers me, you know, other than that, I'm okay with everything else.
53:39
[SPEAKER_06]: I'll be okay with everybody else if we can have things on the edge.
53:42
[SPEAKER_03]: So, juice, and I'm just going to say this and I want to get it moving because I'm looking at the time and I want to make sure we get everything in.
53:48
[SPEAKER_03]: I agree with you, wholeheartedly, I think it's a one-year proof of it deal.
53:51
[SPEAKER_03]: The big question is, how do they define proving it?
53:55
[SPEAKER_03]: What are athletes and Sullivan looking for that?
53:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Because it can't be just wins and losses.
54:01
[SPEAKER_03]: It can't be game-based.
54:02
[SPEAKER_02]: It moves that point.
54:03
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, as it's scoring points, is it understanding offense?
54:06
[SPEAKER_03]: Is it making all the plays and being let down by other things?
54:09
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, so whatever their barometer is of what's proving it will determine.
54:14
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what, proving it to me is being said, proving it to me, and I know we're up against the clock, man.
54:18
[SPEAKER_06]: But I don't give a damn up.
54:19
[SPEAKER_06]: My lady's right here is to sleep.
54:21
[SPEAKER_06]: We're good to go.
54:22
[SPEAKER_06]: All right, I don't care.
54:23
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care.
54:24
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care much about y'all.
54:25
[SPEAKER_06]: I care about me.
54:25
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm the only child.
54:26
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't give a damn.
54:27
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean, why don't I do I care about I care about my god.
54:33
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, I do I do Chad so Jeff you've got to go You know, but Moments I'm I'm excited about moments this year.
54:42
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean if we need to go down there and do something
54:47
[SPEAKER_06]: If you can pull it off, whereas we've seen other guys that couldn't pull it off, that's what I'm talking about.
54:53
[SPEAKER_06]: I don't care what his numbers are.
54:54
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm looking at moments like I always talk about nut cut in time.
54:58
[SPEAKER_06]: What does he look like in nut cut in time?
55:00
[SPEAKER_06]: And I think that's a guy that really can go out there and make things happen with his legs.
55:05
[SPEAKER_06]: He can definitely make things happen with his arm.
55:08
[SPEAKER_06]: And if we're in enough games at the end of, we're in enough games at the end, and he's got an opportunity.
55:15
[SPEAKER_06]: That's what I'm with how I will judge Malik Willas, how he responds in those moments.
55:19
[SPEAKER_06]: Does he shrink in those moments or do you come up big time in those moments?
55:22
[SPEAKER_06]: That's all I give a damn about.
55:24
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, I'm care Brett Farber though, three hundred steps in the first half, but he will throw three touchdowns in the fourth quarter.
55:29
[SPEAKER_06]: You know what I mean?
55:30
[SPEAKER_06]: That's all that matter.
55:31
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not comparing those two obviously, but what's going to happen in nutcutting time when we get an opportunity?
55:36
[SPEAKER_06]: to go down there and win a football game if we're in a football game, how does he respond?
55:41
[SPEAKER_06]: If he's able to go out there and respond to those opportunities, and I'm not saying every single time because nobody's going to do it every single, but we didn't do it every single time.
55:49
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, we had chances we didn't get it done every single time.
55:52
[SPEAKER_06]: But if you can go out there and do it the majority of the time, that's all I care about.
55:56
[SPEAKER_06]: We got a guy that we know that can go out there and give us a chance.
56:00
[SPEAKER_06]: When I got in the huddle with damn arena, I knew every
56:07
[SPEAKER_03]: There it is.
56:07
[SPEAKER_03]: That's what I'm talking about.
56:09
[SPEAKER_03]: On that note, I'm moving into the Van Horn law group legal zone.
56:13
[SPEAKER_03]: So speaking of our Miami Dolphins, Chad, and speaking of, you know, your expertise, which is bankruptcy law, the Dolphins have about $180 million debt.
56:23
[SPEAKER_04]: that they were the first couple out of.
56:27
[SPEAKER_03]: So if the money dolphins call you and say, Chad been born very long.
56:31
[SPEAKER_03]: We are sitting here carrying $179 million in debt.
56:36
[SPEAKER_03]: You know, we just committed another 35 million guaranteed to Jordan Brooks.
56:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Like what are we looking at here for the dolphins to get out of their situation and they're consulting Van Horton Law Group.
56:48
[SPEAKER_04]: So, I'm waiting for the phone call first off, because you're not promised you truly have wasted this.
56:55
[SPEAKER_04]: Once it happens, we fish tank is going to really blow up after you get rid of it, but before I start with that, let me start with a question for everybody and I want you guys in the chat to pay attention because I really want to hear from the people in the chat because you guys have been active today.
57:12
[SPEAKER_04]: And yes, I am Wippie Goldberg and I am Alice at the same time.
57:16
[SPEAKER_04]: I need you.
57:16
[SPEAKER_07]: That's all that.
57:17
[SPEAKER_04]: That's all that.
57:18
[SPEAKER_04]: Have you ever spent money on something you don't use anymore?
57:24
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm going to go through some options here.
57:26
[SPEAKER_04]: And it means no offense to anybody in the chat or anybody on the show.
57:31
[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe a gym membership you haven't used.
57:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh damn.
57:35
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm not talking about you, I'm not talking about you.
57:43
[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe it's six different streaming services and you only watch Netflix because I was on Netflix.
57:49
[SPEAKER_04]: They just have Peloton bike that's sitting out there that now you come a hanger for your dress shirts.
57:56
[SPEAKER_04]: Or maybe, and this is a painful one for maybe some of our listeners, you're still paying for something that your ex is currently enjoying.
58:06
[SPEAKER_04]: I love you.
58:07
[SPEAKER_04]: I love you.
58:07
[SPEAKER_04]: I love you.
58:09
[SPEAKER_04]: Does anybody want to admit?
58:11
[SPEAKER_04]: There's something to tell your kill on that.
58:14
[SPEAKER_04]: Hey, whoa, whoa, yeah, yeah, so so well this is exactly what the Miami Dolphins are dealing with and and the good thing is I guarantee anybody that's on on on right now Is not dealing with a 179 million dollar version of that at least I hope not
58:39
[SPEAKER_04]: If you are, you definitely need to call me, because in this case, the money's gone, the players are gone, but that bill is very much still alive.
58:51
[SPEAKER_04]: And I know you guys report on it all the time.
58:54
[SPEAKER_04]: And I know I'm actually a detailed reporter here.
58:56
[SPEAKER_04]: So I looked up my numbers, got 55 million for Tua, got 28 million for Tyreek, which that's helping with his other bills.
59:06
[SPEAKER_04]: We got 23 million for Jalen Waterway.
59:08
[SPEAKER_04]: We got 21 million for Jalen Ramsey.
59:11
[SPEAKER_04]: So could you imagine that your bank statement showed up, right?
59:17
[SPEAKER_04]: And it said, 55 million dollar charge because two is not playing for you this year.
59:24
[SPEAKER_04]: That you would be pretty upset.
59:26
[SPEAKER_04]: But this actually happens in real life.
59:29
[SPEAKER_04]: And people don't realize it.
59:30
[SPEAKER_04]: Because there's a lot of great sales people out there, right?
59:34
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, you have that car and you're like, well, you know, I owe $40,000 in the car, but it's only worth $25,000.
59:41
[SPEAKER_04]: I want to do a car.
59:42
[SPEAKER_04]: And they're like, oh, we'll just roll it in.
59:44
[SPEAKER_04]: Right?
59:45
[SPEAKER_04]: We'll just roll that in.
59:46
[SPEAKER_03]: And we'll roll it in.
59:47
[SPEAKER_04]: So the old car is gone.
59:49
[SPEAKER_04]: But that debt is still sitting right next to you in the passenger seat, right?
59:53
[SPEAKER_04]: Just, just, just, just, just, just, just hanging out with you.
59:57
[SPEAKER_04]: All day, like to it, like to let the ghosts end up in a radio too.
1:00:02
[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
1:00:04
[SPEAKER_04]: Exactly.
1:00:05
[SPEAKER_04]: So, you know, what consumers and businesses are doing all the time, they're confusing, moving debt with solving debt.
1:00:14
[SPEAKER_04]: And here's the twist and said, you brought it up.
1:00:19
[SPEAKER_04]: Not only are we dealing with this debt hangover, like you know what we're gonna do?
1:00:23
[SPEAKER_04]: We're just gonna do another 35 million guarantee for this guy to have brought me.
1:00:29
[SPEAKER_04]: No, we're reaching to the glove compartment.
1:00:32
[SPEAKER_04]: We figure out how to make that money work, oh, and again, this has nothing to do with the players like, hey, they signed the contract, they're earning every dollar.
1:00:43
[SPEAKER_04]: But we gotta ask the question,
1:00:46
[SPEAKER_04]: are the dolphins responsibly rebuilding, or are they repeating the same mistakes they made in the past?
1:00:55
[SPEAKER_04]: I know that you guys identify these players as the guys that are going to bring it to the next level, so I hope because I am a dolphins fan.
1:01:04
[SPEAKER_04]: They're in my second team, but they're in the
1:01:10
[SPEAKER_04]: So, bring it all around.
1:01:11
[SPEAKER_04]: I'm happy to answer any legal questions as well.
1:01:14
[SPEAKER_04]: And I didn't see anybody admit to any of the expenses, especially the export.
1:01:19
[SPEAKER_04]: I don't see any of that.
1:01:22
[SPEAKER_06]: It might be listening.
1:01:24
[SPEAKER_06]: It might be listening to you.
1:01:25
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm not going to meet that one.
1:01:26
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, it's going to say it's probably good because I can't be using it.
1:01:29
[SPEAKER_04]: This is not a turning plan for us right now.
1:01:32
[SPEAKER_03]: You do that constitution.
1:01:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, I'll show you.
1:01:35
[SPEAKER_07]: I've got some screaming services that I don't want you to use that I have.
1:01:38
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't want you to watch a college football game where in a failed game and I don't watch the services anymore and it's still there,
1:01:48
[SPEAKER_03]: You've got to get that app, you've got to get that app, perk that cleans up all that problem.
1:01:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:01:53
[SPEAKER_07]: But it costs like $15 a month.
1:01:55
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't get to stream in service.
1:01:57
[SPEAKER_07]: Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.
1:01:59
[SPEAKER_07]: I don't get stuff that are on fire for the streamers.
1:02:02
[SPEAKER_04]: I think that's exactly the first time.
1:02:04
[SPEAKER_04]: You're like, you're not even lying.
1:02:07
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, you're good.
1:02:08
[SPEAKER_04]: But here is the lesson that you can learn from the dolphins.
1:02:12
[SPEAKER_04]: You can surrender a car and still own money.
1:02:15
[SPEAKER_04]: You can close a business.
1:02:17
[SPEAKER_04]: There remain liable for the business lease in kind of football player and still carry millions in salary cap.
1:02:24
[SPEAKER_04]: Dolphins can survive the $179 million debt hangover because they have a billion dollar owner and an overseas and you can kick it out.
1:02:34
[SPEAKER_04]: Most families don't.
1:02:36
[SPEAKER_04]: If yesterday's decisions are consuming today's paycheck, don't keep borrowing from tomorrow to make today feel easier.
1:02:45
[SPEAKER_04]: Eventually, tomorrow sends the bill.
1:02:49
[SPEAKER_04]: So, fins up, balance sheets down.
1:02:54
[SPEAKER_04]: I tried to tell y'all.
1:02:55
[SPEAKER_04]: There we go.
1:02:55
[SPEAKER_03]: I told y'all you're up to you.
1:02:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
1:03:00
[SPEAKER_03]: We were going.
1:03:01
[SPEAKER_03]: I tried to tell y'all.
1:03:02
[SPEAKER_03]: I'll wrap you in the one.
1:03:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Thank you.
1:03:04
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:03:05
[SPEAKER_03]: We're gonna roll right into y'all.
1:03:09
[SPEAKER_03]: I tried to tell y'all where it is always kicked off by our leadoff hitter.
1:03:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Oh, Jamie Duffett.
1:03:14
[SPEAKER_06]: Yes, sir.
1:03:15
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, it's so funny.
1:03:16
[SPEAKER_06]: You say that because I just got a call from my high school.
1:03:19
[SPEAKER_06]: They want me to donate to some new like leaderboards.
1:03:23
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm hell with you.
1:03:23
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I'm money.
1:03:24
[SPEAKER_07]: Oh, I'm a kid.
1:03:25
[SPEAKER_07]: Screw him.
1:03:25
[SPEAKER_06]: Oh, I'm a kid.
1:03:26
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, I'm a kid.
1:03:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Mike, Mike, my high school called 40 grand a year to go to here, man.
1:03:31
[SPEAKER_06]: They got plenty of money.
1:03:31
[SPEAKER_06]: Really?
1:03:32
[SPEAKER_02]: They got money.
1:03:32
[SPEAKER_02]: They can pay their own money.
1:03:33
[SPEAKER_06]: They got plenty of them, money.
1:03:35
[SPEAKER_06]: They want me, yeah.
1:03:36
[SPEAKER_06]: Yeah, that's a whole different story.
1:03:38
[SPEAKER_06]: I might be, I might be, I try to tell you another time.
1:03:40
[SPEAKER_06]: But I try to tell you.
1:03:42
[SPEAKER_06]: that good offenses and defenses start in the middle.
1:03:48
[SPEAKER_06]: History proves it every single time and nobody did it better than the Miami Dolphins.
1:03:53
[SPEAKER_06]: Zack Thomas, the hardened soul of those defenses, tackling machine who own the middle of the field, but he has some great guys beside him.
1:04:02
[SPEAKER_06]: like Jason Taylor, Tim Bowen, Dail Gardner, Sam and Pat, et cetera, et cetera.
1:04:08
[SPEAKER_06]: Nick Bonacardi, leading the legendary no name defense from the middle line backerspot and Korean soup bowl teams.
1:04:14
[SPEAKER_06]: They were called the no name defense, but they were far from no names.
1:04:19
[SPEAKER_06]: He was accompanied by Jake Scott, Dick Anderson, and many for Nandes and others, Ryan Cox.
1:04:25
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, bringing the fire and physicality alongside us in the 90s, dominating from the inside, he was surrounded by the likes of Marco Coleman, Jeff Cross, Troy Vincent, Louis Oliver and Jarvis Williams and others, like I talked about.
1:04:40
[SPEAKER_06]: The white Stevenson, one of the greatest centers I ever played a game, dominating the interior line and opening lanes while protecting the pocket.
1:04:47
[SPEAKER_06]: We know this Hall of Fame quarterbacks, Bob Greasy, and of course my man, Dan Moreno, the Gunsling and QB who lit up scoreboards when that middle was secure.
1:04:58
[SPEAKER_06]: Those legends, including the ones lined up with, I've lined up with built championship caliber teams from the inside out.
1:05:07
[SPEAKER_06]: Other great, like, you know, the Pittsburgh Steelers are Mike Webster and Jack Lambert and those guys like that, it's a Baltimore Raven, you know, with a new chaval like that, Ray Lewis, you know, for throwing the middle and the Eagles, with, you know, Jason Kelsey, Elevator, interior.
1:05:22
[SPEAKER_06]: the same blueprint here in Miami right now.
1:05:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Aaron Brewer, locking down the center spot, Malik Willis added an athletic versatility at quarterback, Devon HN, exploding from the backfield, all secured, and now Jordan Brooks with his new contract for trolling the millidae fan.
1:05:42
[SPEAKER_06]: He doesn't have the luxury of a dope ass supporting cast like some of those other guys have.
1:05:47
[SPEAKER_06]: His job as a fearless leader will be tested.
1:05:50
[SPEAKER_06]: I feel like he's up for the task and he will happily do it.
1:05:53
[SPEAKER_06]: He's that type of dude for sure.
1:05:55
[SPEAKER_06]: It's amazing that John Eric Sullivan, it's amazing what John Eric Sullivan is doing.
1:06:01
[SPEAKER_06]: Handing out these deals that keep the
1:06:09
[SPEAKER_06]: When you are with your lady and you work the middle, the whole thing rises.
1:06:15
[SPEAKER_06]: The dolphins, the dolphins are building it the right way, y'all.
1:06:22
[SPEAKER_06]: I'm in the great condition of interior dominance, the foundation is set.
1:06:27
[SPEAKER_06]: Now, why's the whole house stand tall?
1:06:30
[SPEAKER_06]: I tried to tell you all.
1:06:33
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, there you go.
1:06:34
[SPEAKER_06]: Nice.
1:06:35
[SPEAKER_06]: Great.
1:06:36
[SPEAKER_03]: It's fun.
1:06:37
[SPEAKER_03]: I tried to.
1:06:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:06:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Very nicely done.
1:06:40
[SPEAKER_03]: Very nice and done.
1:06:41
[SPEAKER_02]: It's really an episode of the view now.
1:06:43
[SPEAKER_07]: We're going to head back home.
1:06:44
[SPEAKER_07]: That was really awesome.
1:06:45
[SPEAKER_07]: Wasn't it?
1:06:49
[SPEAKER_03]: It's a little bit.
1:06:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Savak, what do you try to tell us, my man?
1:06:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Cause they haven't tried to tell us shit.
1:06:54
[SPEAKER_03]: The entire time, what do you got for us?
1:06:56
[SPEAKER_01]: I'll keep it short and sweet.
1:06:58
[SPEAKER_01]: This one I've been sitting on for a second.
1:07:00
[SPEAKER_01]: I'm trying to tell you.
1:07:01
[SPEAKER_01]: Not only did Mike McDaniel lose the locker room.
1:07:06
[SPEAKER_01]: I don't think he ever really had it to begin with.
1:07:08
[SPEAKER_01]: Now if y'all recall, which you probably don't because despite me being right so damn often nobody listens to me, I previously mentioned that based on Mike's demeanor and coaching style, I had the feeling that when it came to leadership and leading a group of alpha males, he felt more comfortable delegating.
1:07:27
[SPEAKER_01]: So to run armstead, don't open to the fish tank, and told us almost word for word, what I said, Mike liked to empower the players to be the leaders, and just as I said, it worked when my Emmy had those leaders in the locker room.
1:07:45
[SPEAKER_01]: Your Tyree Hill, Rehymoster, Alec Engel, Taran Armstead, Jalen Ramsey, Xavier Howard, Javon Hall, and Christian Wilkins, Zach Seeler, Brandon Jones, I mean the list goes on, and I didn't even name the quarterback in that list, who, when flanked by strong lieutenant, can act as a de facto general, and we saw what that looked like.
1:08:08
[SPEAKER_01]: 70 points on Denver, memorable touchdown celebrations, but when that motley crew started breaking up, it's safe to say it wasn't quite home sweet home anymore.
1:08:19
[SPEAKER_01]: Suddenly, two a couldn't stop putting his foot in his mouth.
1:08:26
[SPEAKER_00]: guys showing up to play our only meetings late guys not showing up to play our only meeting like there's a lot that goes into that do we have to make this mandatory do we not have to make this mandatory so so it it's a lot of a lot of things of that nature that we got to get cleaned up and it starts with the little things like that.
1:08:46
[SPEAKER_01]: The messages no longer seemed to land in the cohesion that had produced such magnificent fruits had withered away, like old duct tape in the Florida Sun after 10 years.
1:08:57
[SPEAKER_01]: And to Ron breaks it down a bit more during the interview, out now on all platforms, so I strongly recommend checking it out.
1:09:03
[SPEAKER_01]: It's a fun conversation, but it demonstrates exactly what the hell I was talking about.
1:09:08
[SPEAKER_01]: In the words of a leader who was actually in the locker room.
1:09:12
[SPEAKER_01]: In stark contrast to what we're seeing today, Mike seemed to have a little if any control over that locker room, and I tried to tell you.
1:09:22
[SPEAKER_03]: Very nice of all.
1:09:25
[SPEAKER_07]: That's like the general tool out there.
1:09:28
[SPEAKER_03]: That was cool.
1:09:29
[SPEAKER_01]: That was cool.
1:09:31
[SPEAKER_01]: I thought y'all might get a kick out of that.
1:09:33
[SPEAKER_03]: And I know notes as Travis Winfield would say, but he said you've been sitting on that one for a while, but yet, Savak and the video is wearing the same thing.
1:09:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
1:09:43
[SPEAKER_03]: Right.
1:09:44
[SPEAKER_03]: When you met sitting on it for a while, do you mean that it was a while?
1:09:47
[SPEAKER_03]: You got to the show?
1:09:49
[SPEAKER_03]: Yes.
1:09:49
[SPEAKER_03]: You got it.
1:09:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Perfect.
1:09:52
[SPEAKER_03]: Let's move as I'm very good though, and I couldn't agree with the board.
1:09:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Chris Perkins, I feel like you already tried to tell us something earlier, I think.
1:09:59
[SPEAKER_03]: What else do you try to tell us?
1:10:01
[SPEAKER_07]: So I want to make the unusual step of deferring my, I tried to tell y'all to the van horn legal zone on a college football question.
1:10:11
[SPEAKER_07]: Here's the question, Shayette.
1:10:13
[SPEAKER_07]: Listen, so there's this report that the pit coach um, completing that mario principal.
1:10:20
[SPEAKER_07]: I know, a mario principal came to his quarterback and said, you know, we would like to have you.
1:10:27
[SPEAKER_07]: So the pit quarterback goes to his coach, Fat Norbuzi, I believe.
1:10:30
[SPEAKER_07]: And says, if you don't give me more money, I'm going to Miami.
1:10:35
[SPEAKER_07]: So they give the kid more money.
1:10:38
[SPEAKER_07]: Chat, my question to you is,
1:10:40
[SPEAKER_07]: If colleges started having two-year contracts, three-year contracts, what's the legal offshoot?
1:10:48
[SPEAKER_07]: Do they do they do they players now have the right to form a union like why can't they offer a contract and two-year of three-year contract to players?
1:10:57
[SPEAKER_04]: no that's where it's going and the short answer that's that's what needs to happen because it's it's honestly ridiculous that something like that can occur and and I get it you people all play their contract all the time you know people all work through a contract all the time whatever it is like perk you're not one of those people that's outworked your contract with the sunset yeah but one day you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it you make it
1:11:26
[SPEAKER_02]: That's where you use a one-year deal.
1:11:28
[SPEAKER_04]: That's right.
1:11:31
[SPEAKER_04]: That is 100% where it's going and we're seeing, again, close to closer.
1:11:36
[SPEAKER_04]: I know that there's action at the federal level about this.
1:11:41
[SPEAKER_04]: But it's certainly going to get to that level.
1:11:45
[SPEAKER_04]: 100%.
1:11:46
[SPEAKER_04]: That's where it's going to get.
1:11:47
[SPEAKER_04]: And unfortunately, what you're going to see and we're going to talk about it one day is there's going to be a lawsuit from pit against the player and it'll probably drag into the NFL as well because it'll be drafted and, you know, lawsuits take time.
1:12:02
[SPEAKER_04]: where the player was stolen and another player, there was a pit-wide receiver that went to USC that was promised for a lot.
1:12:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Jordan Addison, yeah.
1:12:11
[SPEAKER_04]: Yeah, and he went to the soda, and there was behind the scenes, kind of arbitration, whatever to work it out.
1:12:20
[SPEAKER_04]: Because it's all such a gray area right now, and that's what you see, so you're going to see a lot of these teams that want that arbitration behind the scenes because they don't want us to become public, but there's just too much of this happening where eventually it's going to end up in litigation.
1:12:36
[SPEAKER_03]: Yeah.
1:12:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Very nice.
1:12:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Good stuff.
1:12:38
[SPEAKER_06]: I hate that that, you know, teams are still in players like that, man.
1:12:43
[SPEAKER_06]: You know, I mean, there's this thing in the NFL called Tampereen.
1:12:46
[SPEAKER_06]: They need to have something like that.
1:12:47
[SPEAKER_06]: Well, you know, yeah, well, man.
1:12:49
[SPEAKER_02]: Well, no, in Miami, there's Tampereen.
1:12:51
[SPEAKER_02]: There's definitely Tampereen, and it'll cost him that more than once.
1:12:55
[SPEAKER_02]: All right, let's go.
1:12:56
[SPEAKER_03]: And I mean, I want to go.
1:12:58
[SPEAKER_03]: Great stuff.
1:12:59
[SPEAKER_03]: Great use of your time.
1:13:01
[SPEAKER_03]: What is it?
1:13:02
[SPEAKER_03]: What are they saying?
1:13:02
[SPEAKER_07]: Congressman, you're going to give your time to someone who's a gentleman in a plant station or wherever you are.
1:13:07
[SPEAKER_07]: That's right.
1:13:08
[SPEAKER_03]: Absolutely.
1:13:08
[SPEAKER_03]: So little bonus legal zone there.
1:13:10
[SPEAKER_03]: Good stuff.
1:13:11
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, we do have the new lineup here where I no longer back clean up because we've got the heavy hitter in the house.
1:13:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Gentlemen, I tried to tell you all that the 2026 Miami Dolphins are beginning to feel like the 1996 Miami Dolphins.
1:13:31
[SPEAKER_03]: Understand, I'm not saying their twins, or maybe I am in the Danny De Vito Arnold Schwarzenegger vein.
1:13:37
[SPEAKER_03]: But they were actually far more similar than someone might realize.
1:13:42
[SPEAKER_03]: In fact, I have to give credit to our credit as do, because the great Scott Stone first brought this to my attention months ago, and I wasn't seeing it until I couldn't look away.
1:13:51
[SPEAKER_03]: Scott pointed out that the last time the dolphins completely pushed the reset button with a new head coach and a new general manager was indeed 30 years ago prior to the start of that 1996 season.
1:14:03
[SPEAKER_03]: Of course, Wayne Eisenhower only had to engage in one interview instead of two since Jimmy Johnson wore both hats.
1:14:09
[SPEAKER_03]: But the fact of the matter is, it was a complete overhaul of decision-makers, a move we haven't seen since until this year.
1:14:17
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, for me, the twinning began on April 23, when John Erick Sullivan utilized the Dolphins' first round draft choice to select Caden Proctor,
1:14:34
[SPEAKER_03]: And effort, juice, does that sound familiar?
1:14:37
[SPEAKER_03]: Because I thought it would, because back in 1996, Jimmy told us you can be safe and be good, or you can take risks and be great when he took a risk on a mountain of a man with unprecedented size and elite athleticism, but with quite related to work ethic and effort and bailer defensive tackle, Darrell Gardner.
1:14:57
[SPEAKER_03]: Now one can only hope that Malik Washington isn't putting a position to have to check Proctor for this effort, you know what that looks like, don't we don't we don't we don't we?
1:15:08
[SPEAKER_03]: And speaking of the draft, Miami selected 12 fires in 1996, including a middle line backer from Texas Tech, who would prove to be the prize catch of that crop.
1:15:19
[SPEAKER_03]: This year's Finns pulled 13 picks in Pittsburgh, and yes, they made sure to find a red radar line backer of their own, didn't they?
1:15:28
[SPEAKER_03]: And what to do with all these rookies?
1:15:30
[SPEAKER_03]: Well back in 96, Jimmy played them early and often.
1:15:34
[SPEAKER_03]: And the Dolphin season opener for draft choices, including Kareem Abdojabar, Stanley Pritches, Zach Thomas, and the aforementioned gardener all started alongside my co-host.
1:15:43
[SPEAKER_03]: While another four, Sean Wooden, Larry, as a Shane Burton and Jason Fale contributed significant playing time.
1:15:49
[SPEAKER_03]: I expect we're going to see much of the same from halfway sort of hopefuls when the fins roll the dice and Vegas against the raiders.
1:15:56
[SPEAKER_03]: And much like those 1996 dolphins, that trend will continue throughout the season.
1:16:02
[SPEAKER_03]: Now why so many rookies?
1:16:03
[SPEAKER_03]: What happened to the rosters?
1:16:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, prior to the 96 season, dolphins have to say goodbye to great players like Brian Cox and Troy Vincent, Marco Coleman and Irving Freyer, and the trend continued in the training camp as fan favorites and familiar names, like running back Terry Kirby, Titan and Eric Green, and even all pro kicker Pete Stoyon of which were handed their walking papers.
1:16:23
[SPEAKER_03]: The reasons are certainly different this year, but we know the names.
1:16:27
[SPEAKER_03]: Tyree can too, a chub and water.
1:16:29
[SPEAKER_03]: Full-back-allic angled tight-end Darren Waller and even all pro-kicker Jason Sanders were all handed.
1:16:37
[SPEAKER_03]: They're walking papers.
1:16:38
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, there's no reason for you to present the counter-argument perk.
1:16:41
[SPEAKER_03]: I know that Don Shul and Never Jumped on Hising his desk begging to pay any player a contract that was going to be 200 million bucks.
1:16:49
[SPEAKER_03]: And if Shulah did do it, he certainly wouldn't have been wearing
1:16:56
[SPEAKER_03]: I realize that Jeff Hathley doesn't have a boat name three rings, and he wasn't on television last season telling us why Mike McDonald had the best job in all of football, although both Hathley and Jimmy share a man crush on Dave Wandstedt.
1:17:09
[SPEAKER_03]: No, what do I mean?
1:17:10
[SPEAKER_03]: But none of that matters.
1:17:13
[SPEAKER_03]: Sorry, I'm sorry, Jesus, I saw you laughing, maybe laughing.
1:17:17
[SPEAKER_03]: That means Julius and Vincent didn't share a wound.
1:17:20
[SPEAKER_03]: Regardless of how and why, it shouldn't take Scott Stone's genius for the rest of us to see the similarities here either.
1:17:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Now let's see if they can extend them to the field of play.
1:17:30
[SPEAKER_03]: The 96 dolphins went eight-nate, narrowly missing the playoffs, and wouldn't that be a great way for selling the Sully and Half-Show to begin.
1:17:38
[SPEAKER_03]: And then we were introduced to spectacular defensive play.
1:17:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Hidden gems rising from the ashes, a couple of Hall of Fame players.
1:17:44
[SPEAKER_03]: Five straight playoff appearances, including three postseason victories, as our guy Chris Perkins pointed out, let's hope this regime can out to Marino, J.T.
1:17:54
[SPEAKER_03]: and Zach Perk.
1:17:55
[SPEAKER_03]: Now, I don't know where this group of dolphins will take us.
1:17:58
[SPEAKER_03]: But I can tell you that they sure do feel a lot like the 96 squad.
1:18:03
[SPEAKER_03]: I try to tell you.
1:18:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Mmm.
1:18:05
[SPEAKER_03]: Nice.
1:18:06
[SPEAKER_07]: We've got some reference.
1:18:07
[SPEAKER_03]: No, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no, no,
1:18:26
[SPEAKER_03]: Well, Michael Leaver, get us out of here, man.
1:18:28
[SPEAKER_03]: What are you trying to tell us?
1:18:29
[SPEAKER_02]: All right.
1:18:30
[SPEAKER_02]: So mine this week is on a topic.
1:18:31
[SPEAKER_02]: I really don't like talking about any more because I feel like it's been beaten to death.
1:18:35
[SPEAKER_02]: But we actually have news around this now.
1:18:37
[SPEAKER_02]: So I'm going to talk about this for the one and only time this year because I know this topic's been spoken about so many times.
1:18:42
[SPEAKER_02]: There is rumor and any window out there that the Miami Dolphins are going to make a uniform change in 2027.
1:18:47
[SPEAKER_02]: And possibly,
1:18:50
[SPEAKER_02]: it could be more IELLOGO change.
1:18:53
[SPEAKER_02]: For those of you who have missed this story, fanatics this year, they're going to sell a higher end quality NFL jersey for folks who want a premium jersey that the players actually wear on the field.
1:19:05
[SPEAKER_02]: But they're only making them for 30 of the 32 teams.
1:19:09
[SPEAKER_02]: Why?
1:19:10
[SPEAKER_02]: Why are they not making them for two teams?
1:19:12
[SPEAKER_02]: Those two teams are Miami and New Orleans.
1:19:15
[SPEAKER_02]: And the word on the street is because both of those teams have already submitted the paperwork for uniform changes in 2027.
1:19:21
[SPEAKER_02]: So, fanatics and the retailers and the designers and everyone in the third world sweatshops making these things.
1:19:27
[SPEAKER_02]: They don't want to waste their time making jerseys are going to be outdated like six months.
1:19:32
[SPEAKER_02]: So, if this is true, and many
1:19:37
[SPEAKER_02]: The Miami Dolphins got a stop fucking around and let's become a real organization again.
1:19:42
[SPEAKER_02]: Brewer's gone, McDaniel's gone, two is gone, and my Florio, on a podcast with me a couple of weeks ago said Ross and he really run into the team anymore, he's kind of passed everything off to Daniel Salman and Salman's the one calling the shots and I trust Mike Florio when it comes to that.
1:19:57
[SPEAKER_02]: So it's time to fix a lot of wrongs.
1:19:59
[SPEAKER_02]: And the biggest wrong is his damn logo in these unit forms.
1:20:03
[SPEAKER_02]: In the big picture, is this a top priority?
1:20:06
[SPEAKER_02]: No, of course not, it's about winning games.
1:20:07
[SPEAKER_02]: We all get that.
1:20:08
[SPEAKER_02]: But this does matter, too.
1:20:11
[SPEAKER_02]: A wise philosopher once said, if you look good, you feel good, if you feel good, you play good.
1:20:17
[SPEAKER_02]: And God damn it, that's 100% true.
1:20:19
[SPEAKER_02]: He on Sanders has never spoken.
1:20:21
[SPEAKER_02]: True or words in his life.
1:20:24
[SPEAKER_02]: And let's be frank, iconic sports teams don't change logos in their uniforms.
1:20:28
[SPEAKER_02]: They Yankees, the Canadians, the Packers, Lakers, Celtics, Cowboys, Pittsburgh Steelers, RedSax Cubs, LA Dodgers, Penn State, Alabama, Michigan, USC, they don't change nothing ever.
1:20:40
[SPEAKER_02]: Carried over to business, didn't McDonald's ever get rid of their golden arches?
1:20:45
[SPEAKER_02]: Did Nike ever drop the swoosh?
1:20:47
[SPEAKER_02]: Did KFC ever take the kernel off of their packaging?
1:20:51
[SPEAKER_02]: Oh, how no.
1:20:52
[SPEAKER_02]: Did NBC ever drop their peacock logo?
1:20:54
[SPEAKER_02]: Nope.
1:20:55
[SPEAKER_02]: Did Wendy's ever change the hair color?
1:20:57
[SPEAKER_02]: A little old Wendy?
1:20:58
[SPEAKER_02]: No.
1:20:59
[SPEAKER_02]: She didn't go from red to blind.
1:21:01
[SPEAKER_02]: Sure, blond's have more fun.
1:21:02
[SPEAKER_02]: But it's Wendy's and Wendy's heads.
1:21:05
[SPEAKER_02]: And Wendy has red hair.
1:21:07
[SPEAKER_02]: And they're not dumb enough to mess with the look in the logo when you get it right the first time, you know, change.
1:21:13
[SPEAKER_02]: The Miami Dolphins had it right the first time.
1:21:16
[SPEAKER_02]: And for anyone under the age of 50, you might not know this because it's been so long that all ones were what were once NFL franchise every team looked up to at one point, and again you got to be close to retirement these days, we're living a nursing home to remember those days or so long ago, but history books will show you this and for some reason, Miami has changed a logo twice and they've changed you know for so many times I've lost Kyle.
1:21:38
[SPEAKER_02]: And since then, it's been a downward spiral of losing and an aptitude.
1:21:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Enough, new GM, new head coach, new quarterback sounds like a new owner, and it's time to fix this and write this wrong.
1:21:50
[SPEAKER_02]: Bring the throwbacks back full time.
1:21:53
[SPEAKER_02]: And don't tell me it's about the money if I got here another fan say, well, they can sell merchandise with a new logo and sell merchandise with a throwback logo.
1:21:59
[SPEAKER_02]: And you make money twice your double dip.
1:22:01
[SPEAKER_02]: One, who cares?
1:22:02
[SPEAKER_02]: And two, that might not be the case anymore, because this fan base is kind of apathetic to pretty much everything.
1:22:09
[SPEAKER_02]: I have been podcasting about the Miami Dolphins before many people over 15 years.
1:22:14
[SPEAKER_02]: I own the website blog about the Miami Dolphins for 15 plus years.
1:22:17
[SPEAKER_02]: I was arguing with fans on Twitter about the Dolphins, once Twitter used to be fun.
1:22:21
[SPEAKER_02]: That's a long time ago.
1:22:23
[SPEAKER_02]: I know Dolphins fans.
1:22:26
[SPEAKER_02]: I promise you, and someone clipped this and sent it to Mr. Tom Garfinkle and Mr. Selman.
1:22:32
[SPEAKER_02]: I promise you, if Miami went to the throwback logo and uniform's full time, they will sell more merchandise and make more money than they know what to do with.
1:22:41
[SPEAKER_02]: The Alphan fans are starving for this.
1:22:43
[SPEAKER_02]: Fans will flock to Heart Rock Stadium and their team store and buy that all up.
1:22:46
[SPEAKER_02]: And remember,
1:22:48
[SPEAKER_02]: The NFL merchandise revenue is split amongst all the teams except for the merchandise you sell at your team store and that you sell it pop up stores.
1:22:56
[SPEAKER_02]: If the dolphins just want to start print money, change a low vote and throw back.
1:23:01
[SPEAKER_02]: sell it at your store and put up the pop up stores.
1:23:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Look at last year with the rival regional forms.
1:23:06
[SPEAKER_02]: The line that day when they put them on sale to stadium, this will be time's time.
1:23:11
[SPEAKER_02]: Remember the end of the movie, feel the dreams if you build a day will come.
1:23:14
[SPEAKER_02]: You'll see a line of cars when lights on, going to heart rock stage and for like 24 hours straight.
1:23:19
[SPEAKER_02]: People buying this stuff.
1:23:20
[SPEAKER_02]: That's not a prediction.
1:23:21
[SPEAKER_02]: that my friends is a spoiler.
1:23:23
[SPEAKER_02]: And look, I might be getting ahead of myself here.
1:23:26
[SPEAKER_02]: They might not be making a big change.
1:23:27
[SPEAKER_02]: They might just be adding a stripe on like an arm or adding a little trim around in that.
1:23:32
[SPEAKER_02]: And if they do that, I got one word.
1:23:34
[SPEAKER_02]: Boring.
1:23:36
[SPEAKER_02]: It's time.
1:23:38
[SPEAKER_02]: Stop waste and tie.
1:23:39
[SPEAKER_02]: Time to go big.
1:23:40
[SPEAKER_02]: They have an opportunity to make a statement here Do the right thing because the current logo and the current scheme and stuff uniform is a symbol of losing Bring it back to the old days bring back the iconic look 99% of your fanbase wants it give your fanbase something to be happy about for what's because for 25 plus years Is sure as hell hasn't been the product on the field also in Miami you got messy plant soccer
1:24:04
[SPEAKER_02]: Yanis with the heat, maybe LeBron.
1:24:06
[SPEAKER_02]: The Panthers recently won two Stanley Cups.
1:24:08
[SPEAKER_02]: They you just played an national title game, and the Marlins are total dog shit anymore.
1:24:13
[SPEAKER_02]: Mellow to the Powers FBE with the Miami Dolphins.
1:24:16
[SPEAKER_02]: You better do things to keep your fanbase happy right now and cave to them, because you have a ton of competition in the market.
1:24:21
[SPEAKER_02]: And if you take those fans for granted and ignore their pleas and wishes for something so stupid as a new uniform look in possible logo, you get what you deserve.
1:24:31
[SPEAKER_02]: Let's write this wrong.
1:24:33
[SPEAKER_02]: But let's have the Miami Dolphins look like the Miami Dolphins again.
1:24:37
[SPEAKER_02]: I try to tell you all.
1:24:39
[SPEAKER_04]: And there you have it.
1:24:40
[SPEAKER_04]: There you are.
1:24:41
[SPEAKER_04]: That's sad.
1:24:42
[SPEAKER_04]: I got a quick one.
1:24:43
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, I like using local talent.
1:24:46
[SPEAKER_04]: You know, when he lives actually in Fort Lauderdale for lunch, they run here, right?
1:24:51
[SPEAKER_04]: Maybe we should bring her on as a consultant.
1:24:54
[SPEAKER_06]: No, I was right on the water there, right there.
1:24:56
[SPEAKER_04]: They've been in the shoes, right by the entire house.
1:24:59
[SPEAKER_04]: I see, you know, you know, what I'm saying is, and maybe we should bring her on to the pod, but she said it up here, we had to hear that.
1:25:08
[SPEAKER_06]: Chad, she's like 70 now.
1:25:11
[SPEAKER_06]: Is her hair still red?
1:25:13
[SPEAKER_06]: Only one way to find out.
1:25:28
[SPEAKER_03]: Before, yeah, before we get to far off the rails, that's why Michael leave a bad clean up.
1:25:33
[SPEAKER_03]: This was a great episode.
1:25:34
[SPEAKER_03]: Perk, thank you for getting us riled up two days and go with this book before we get to far off the rails.
1:25:38
[SPEAKER_02]: That's why Michael leave a bad clean up.
1:25:40
[SPEAKER_03]: This was a great episode.
1:25:41
[SPEAKER_03]: Perk, thank you for getting us riled up two days ago.
1:25:44
[SPEAKER_03]: We've been looking forward to this episode.
1:25:46
[SPEAKER_03]: Perk, thank you for getting us riled up two days ago.
