A landmark court ruling has awarded a severely disabled boy, TK, nearly $3.6 million in damages after his parents won a decade-long legal battle against the obstetrician who delivered him. The Court of Appeal unanimously upheld the verdict, finding Dr. Gregory Carey’s use of two assisted-delivery methods fell below the standard of care and directly caused TK’s catastrophic brain injuries.
