- 1:40Speaker 3: we did record this prior to the injury happening in

- 1:50Speaker 4: This is a podcast came twenty five King Basketball and
- 1:55Speaker 4: they are were a wiz. So yeah, it's too bad.
- 1:58Speaker 4: But what did you expect it's a podcast?
- 2:01Speaker 5: Come twenty five.
- 2:06Speaker 6: Blowth wistles already?
- 2:07Speaker 1: Third, third, it's the great wait my tunes wrong, O
- 2:13Speaker 1: got it's music down.
- 2:14Speaker 6: It's the most wonderful.
- 2:16Speaker 4: Time of the years. I agree with you.
- 2:19Speaker 1: This weekend, the Thursday on Friday, especially the Thursday, Friday,
- 2:24Speaker 1: Saturday and Sunday is still cool.
- 2:26Speaker 6: Yes, the first full four day week is awesome. It's
- 2:28Speaker 6: the best.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Well, and we're lucky because we kind of have hours
- 2:32Speaker 4: where we can watch the first games.
- 2:34Speaker 1: Well, I got a second. Get have a second every
- 2:35Speaker 1: year just so I can stay home. So every year,
- 2:39Speaker 1: I guess every year that reason, all right, And the
- 2:42Speaker 1: Thursday Friday, if you can just get a couple games
- 2:44Speaker 1: that were going in the direction of looking like an upset,
- 2:47Speaker 1: because you got like true TV t it got.
- 2:49Speaker 6: The whole things up in the court.
- 2:51Speaker 4: It's everywhere.
- 2:51Speaker 1: There have been years where it's sucked and there are
- 2:54Speaker 1: no upsets anywhere, and those mild fun. I mean, if
- 2:58Speaker 1: you get a couple, it's so awesome because you can
- 3:01Speaker 1: just flip around. And thankfully YouTube TV they settled their
- 3:04Speaker 1: a little deal with param you guys, YouTube TV ors. Yeah,
- 3:07Speaker 1: I guys, I love it. Aside from basketball. Isn't it
- 3:11Speaker 1: the greatest everything? Everything? And this is not a commercial, no, no, no,
- 3:16Speaker 1: But if you're a sports fan, you decide if you're
- 3:18Speaker 1: getting paid right now, well, I'm.
- 3:21Speaker 6: No. I was thinking of YouTube TV. Want to say,
- 3:23Speaker 6: you know, yeah, what's up guys.
- 3:24Speaker 1: Anyways, if you're a sports fan, it's the best casey
- 3:28Speaker 1: your thoughts on YouTube TV.
- 3:29Speaker 4: I love it.
- 3:29Speaker 7: I mean for NFL Sunday Ticket, the four games. But yes,
- 3:32Speaker 7: March Madness is the best, especially yeah.
- 3:34Speaker 1: When Sunday Ticket because they moved over there. Yeah, and
- 3:37Speaker 1: I haven't got to experience it March Madness yet because
- 3:41Speaker 1: you get to do the four screens generally.
- 3:44Speaker 6: But oh my gosh, I'm gonna have a boner for.
- 3:47Speaker 1: Like a like a basketball different is different. My father
- 3:51Speaker 1: and all listen to this, And so I pulled back
- 3:53Speaker 1: right when I was about to say that joke.
- 3:54Speaker 6: And then I want to tell you what.
- 3:56Speaker 1: Happened in my head right there. This is all happened
- 4:00Speaker 1: within about point three seconds. I was gonna say, Man,
- 4:04Speaker 1: I get such a boner watching college basketball. Can you
- 4:08Speaker 1: imagine four games at once? That's I call your doctor
- 4:11Speaker 1: if it's up for four hours. And I was just
- 4:13Speaker 1: gonna make that analogy. Then at the same time, I thought,
- 4:15Speaker 1: I know my father in law listens to a lot
- 4:17Speaker 1: of this, so maybe I don't want to make a
- 4:20Speaker 1: boner reference. But then I thought, I don't want to
- 4:23Speaker 1: not be me, and he wouldn't want me to not
- 4:25Speaker 1: be me correctly, even though he probably was like, do
- 4:27Speaker 1: you need to make the Boner reference? All that was
- 4:29Speaker 1: point three in my head and I still said it,
- 4:32Speaker 1: but it was like this, and I had I had
- 4:34Speaker 1: a boner for it.
- 4:37Speaker 4: What I've learned is because like my mother in law
- 4:39Speaker 4: listens to and like really yes, And I've done the
- 4:42Speaker 4: same thing where I'm like, should I say that my
- 4:44Speaker 4: mother in law's listening? What I've learned is they're cool, man,
- 4:48Speaker 4: because they love us for who we are. And I
- 4:50Speaker 4: even my mother in law never mentions things wherever I
- 4:53Speaker 4: talk about her or anything like that, but I know
- 4:54Speaker 4: she knows it, so I think she's okay with it.
- 4:57Speaker 4: She doesn't act any different. She still loves me, and
- 4:59Speaker 4: she she still listens.
- 5:01Speaker 1: Yeah, I don't question if he loves me any less
- 5:03Speaker 1: until now. Great, I my wife doesn't listen to anything,
- 5:10Speaker 1: and that's not her being not supportive that's her when
- 5:13Speaker 1: I get home, going, Bro, I'm with you for nine hours? Correct,
- 5:16Speaker 1: why I don't want to hear you do the same
- 5:18Speaker 1: crap you do here at home then? And I'm like
- 5:21Speaker 1: I still, I'm like, eh, I get it.
- 5:23Speaker 4: It is different you though, Like it's a different you
- 5:26Speaker 4: when you get home then it's it's worse though, got it? Yeah,
- 5:30Speaker 4: I got it.
- 5:31Speaker 1: And also she doesn't really care about sports like this, yeah,
- 5:34Speaker 1: but like it does.
- 5:36Speaker 6: And he may not hear this.
- 5:38Speaker 1: I'm sure he can't listen to everything because I now
- 5:39Speaker 1: have forty seven podcasts, which is way too many. But
- 5:43Speaker 1: he'll message me and say, hey, I heard you talking
- 5:45Speaker 1: to whomever is listening to this song. Like I rarely
- 5:48Speaker 1: can feel a compliment and genuinely feel it and it
- 5:51Speaker 1: makes me feel good. But he was listening to me
- 5:55Speaker 1: maybe with Matt Jenkins.
- 5:57Speaker 6: We just did. He was episode yeah, and he said, oh,
- 6:00Speaker 6: casey too.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I got another.
- 6:03Speaker 5: Texted me.
- 6:04Speaker 1: He was like, I was listening to your Matt jenkinsing
- 6:06Speaker 1: and he wasn't saying it like, hey, I'm listening to
- 6:08Speaker 1: you talk to Matt Jenkins.
- 6:10Speaker 6: Look at me.
- 6:10Speaker 1: I'm looking I'm listening to you. He just sent a
- 6:13Speaker 1: reference about it and like I was deeply complimented and
- 6:17Speaker 1: I don't really know that feeling of support because my
- 6:22Speaker 1: life I didn't have.
- 6:23Speaker 6: I'm not saying that like I.
- 6:24Speaker 1: Was unsupported because I want people pushing against me, but
- 6:27Speaker 1: I just didn't have that. And so that's weird that
- 6:30Speaker 1: even me to having a bonus conversation triggers all the
- 6:33Speaker 1: memory of like, how.
- 6:36Speaker 6: Like touched.
- 6:37Speaker 1: I well, I know I touched. I get when that
- 6:42Speaker 1: like that happens. And I don't know that he'll hear this,
- 6:44Speaker 1: and I hope to god he does it. And now
- 6:45Speaker 1: at this point, I hope he doesn't. I hope he doesn't.
- 6:49Speaker 6: But we are here. It's it's basketball. It's the greatest,
- 6:52Speaker 6: the best.
- 6:54Speaker 1: Just pick a team to win at all man, because
- 6:56Speaker 1: we're not gonna break down, Brad, I get bored and
- 6:58Speaker 1: people go down everything, every everything. Let's just pick one
- 7:01Speaker 1: team to do. You guys want to all put five
- 7:02Speaker 1: bucks in?
- 7:03Speaker 6: Yeah? Yes, yeah, let's do it.
- 7:05Speaker 1: Yeah, So Mike, you want to in or no, I'll
- 7:08Speaker 1: go in. Okay, one, two, three, four, five, six. I
- 7:10Speaker 1: don't need your money right now. Read, but we'll just
- 7:11Speaker 1: all do it. Read reads up and change on the table.
- 7:15Speaker 1: So if we have multiple picks, you get one pick
- 7:18Speaker 1: to one at all.
- 7:19Speaker 4: Right, but if like multiple people pick the same team, you'll.
- 7:22Speaker 6: Split the money.
- 7:23Speaker 1: So but everybody have your answer written down, say you
- 7:25Speaker 1: cannot change it.
- 7:25Speaker 4: I got it.
- 7:29Speaker 1: And if you want to do more than five, you can.
- 7:31Speaker 1: We can do ten, but that's two teams. No, it's
- 7:33Speaker 1: one team, but.
- 7:34Speaker 6: It'd be worth a little more in case we split.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Let's do ten bucks.
- 7:37Speaker 1: I have learned. My wife will say sometimes, hey, you
- 7:40Speaker 1: can't use other people's money. If like we go to
- 7:43Speaker 1: dinner and I'm like, I want to do all this
- 7:44Speaker 1: advertising and I plan to pay for everything. But then
- 7:47Speaker 1: some people are like, we don't want you to pay
- 7:48Speaker 1: for all everything all the time. If she's like, you
- 7:50Speaker 1: have to consider that that people get tired. People don't
- 7:52Speaker 1: like it when you pay for their meal all the time.
- 7:54Speaker 6: Well that's yeah, I don't know. It is that they
- 7:57Speaker 6: feel like they're burdening you.
- 8:00Speaker 1: And I'm like, I enjoy it because one people pay
- 8:02Speaker 1: for my meals my whole life, and now that I
- 8:04Speaker 1: have money, I love doing it. So I have to
- 8:06Speaker 1: think about other people before I just go, let's not
- 8:08Speaker 1: get ten dollars. So if you would like to knock
- 8:10Speaker 1: it to know we can.
- 8:11Speaker 4: I vote ten dollars ten pretty good.
- 8:14Speaker 6: Yeah, Reid's crying. I'm ready, let's go twenty. What are
- 8:17Speaker 6: you talking about, Mike?
- 8:19Speaker 4: Ten?
- 8:19Speaker 6: Okay, ten is good.
- 8:20Speaker 1: Okay, So we have sixty bucks total. Pick your one
- 8:23Speaker 1: team and Kevin.
- 8:25Speaker 6: Duke, you suck, you suck dude. We hate you.
- 8:29Speaker 4: Cooper flag baby, and I can't change mind, can't change
- 8:31Speaker 4: it now, no changing it.
- 8:34Speaker 1: I should have pulled out all the low seeds and
- 8:36Speaker 1: we should have picked somebody like an eight or below.
- 8:39Speaker 6: We made still to do that real quick. Okay, Okay,
- 8:43Speaker 6: Duke sucks. I hate dude. They're actually really good though,
- 8:45Speaker 6: what suck?
- 8:46Speaker 4: Cooper Flags and.
- 8:46Speaker 1: They've got two nasty freshmen and Cooper. Yeah, Mike going
- 8:51Speaker 1: to Auburn.
- 8:52Speaker 4: It's good, Mike Reid.
- 8:54Speaker 6: I'm gonna go flow rudder. Good pick, oh good, pick Eddie.
- 8:59Speaker 4: I'm splitting the money with Kevin. I'm going to Duke
- 9:01Speaker 4: go Blue Devils.
- 9:03Speaker 6: I'm sweeping man which and I broom in the Auburn.
- 9:09Speaker 4: I'm wondering what that man.
- 9:10Speaker 6: We're gonna be splitting that up. Okay, how about this, okay,
- 9:17Speaker 6: how about this? Pick a team yeah, he did.
- 9:21Speaker 1: Didn't he No, I didn't go, said, oh my bad.
- 9:27Speaker 6: I thought that meant you had Duke. Who do you have?
- 9:28Speaker 7: I gotta go a little contralting Saint John's baby Rick Patino.
- 9:33Speaker 4: I like this team.
- 9:39Speaker 6: I like to apologize for not going. I thought you
- 9:42Speaker 6: picked Duke. I like to apologize. It's okay, that's okay.
- 9:47Speaker 4: He's such a New.
- 9:48Speaker 6: York pick a team.
- 9:51Speaker 1: We all have to agree to the team being a
- 9:54Speaker 1: mid or lower, and whomever's team goes the furthest we'll
- 9:58Speaker 1: do a.
- 9:58Speaker 6: Five dollars bet. It's all good with that one.
- 10:00Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, okay, don't look at my team.
- 10:03Speaker 1: So like out of the running Duke Auburn, Florida, Houston, Bama, Tennessee,
- 10:09Speaker 1: Michigan State, Saint John's, Iowa State, Kentucky, Texas Tech, Maryland.
- 10:14Speaker 6: Those were kind of all out of it.
- 10:16Speaker 4: You didn't say the team.
- 10:17Speaker 1: Well, I'm still might though, but just looking at the bracket, here,
- 10:20Speaker 1: go ahead.
- 10:20Speaker 4: You want me to go first, yep, I'm gonna go Texas,
- 10:23Speaker 4: A and M.
- 10:23Speaker 1: Why oh they played I like A and M because
- 10:26Speaker 1: they cannot shoot. They do not play offense. It's like
- 10:28Speaker 1: they don't even want the ball. They just give it
- 10:30Speaker 1: back on defense. It's god dang.
- 10:31Speaker 6: They play hard. They do play they do I like
- 10:34Speaker 6: Texas A and M. They play hard. I like it.
- 10:36Speaker 4: And they have a player within the last name Garcia.
- 10:38Speaker 4: So I'm all in.
- 10:39Speaker 6: They go nice Kevin, I'm gonna go Arizona. Yeah that's good. Yeah,
- 10:44Speaker 6: I like it. Okay, I accept it. You guys don't
- 10:47Speaker 6: have to accept it.
- 10:48Speaker 4: But no, Arizona is accepted.
- 10:50Speaker 1: And I what sucks is already eliminated Texas Tech, and
- 10:52Speaker 1: I was my boy. I wish I wouldn't have eliminated him.
- 10:55Speaker 6: Okay, cal go ahead, Casey.
- 10:58Speaker 4: You're gonna go with Louisville. That's good.
- 11:01Speaker 6: That's not how you say.
- 11:01Speaker 4: It, Louisville. Yeah, we're in New York.
- 11:04Speaker 8: If you're yeah, lou Louisville, Louisville, No kind of Louis
- 11:10Speaker 8: Louis Louisville, Louisville, Louisville, Louisville, Louis louis You guys have

- 11:29Speaker 6: think I think that's fine for Maryland.
- 11:31Speaker 4: I think one. I'm gonna Gonzaga Zaga.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Okay, I'm gonna go.
- 11:40Speaker 1: I gotta go SEC just because I've watched them play
- 11:42Speaker 1: so much. I'm gonna go Missouri.
- 11:46Speaker 4: I have not seen them play I have, or Michigan.
- 11:50Speaker 1: I was gonna pick Michigan too, because artists all play
- 11:52Speaker 1: Michigan and they're good and I liked Dust. I'm gonna
- 11:54Speaker 1: go Michigan, Michigan, SEC. I know, well, but I had
- 11:58Speaker 1: to pick a team of Arkans. All played and we
- 12:00Speaker 1: beat them good cool, and I'm just not picking Arkansas
- 12:02Speaker 1: because I don't want.
- 12:03Speaker 6: To attach anything to that. Okay, Okay, So everybody good there?

- 13:42Speaker 1: I have a lot to talk about with you. First
- 13:43Speaker 1: of all, I will receive a bit of crap from people.
- 13:48Speaker 6: I grew up in Arkansas.
- 13:49Speaker 1: I had a fourten at nine years old, and I
- 13:51Speaker 1: was kind of just allowed to hunt mostly rabbit or squirrel,
- 13:54Speaker 1: Like fourteen was my first gun. And people are like,
- 13:55Speaker 1: you had a gun at nine or ten, And I
- 13:58Speaker 1: talked about how it was a tool more than a
- 14:01Speaker 1: lot of people see it as a weapon. For you,
- 14:03Speaker 1: When did you get your first gun? When could you
- 14:05Speaker 1: hunt by yourself?
- 14:06Speaker 5: Oh? Man, you know, it's funny you bring that up,
- 14:08Speaker 5: because we used to be like, I remember kids. I
- 14:12Speaker 5: remember this one kid in particular that moved I grew
- 14:14Speaker 5: up in West Michigan, and I remember this one kid
- 14:16Speaker 5: that moved from like out of town into our area,
- 14:20Speaker 5: you know, and I remember his mom just being astounded,
- 14:25Speaker 5: like horrified that kids would ride around on bikes with
- 14:29Speaker 5: twenty two's slung over there, slung over their back, you know,
- 14:34Speaker 5: like we just we just roamed around as little kids hunting.
- 14:38Speaker 5: You know, it was all back then. It was just
- 14:40Speaker 5: tons of woods around that area. I don't even remember,
- 14:46Speaker 5: you know, I hate to say it. Well, they changed
- 14:49Speaker 5: the rules now, so it's actually would we would start
- 14:53Speaker 5: hunting before you were legally allowed to hunt, which sounds bad,
- 14:56Speaker 5: But then the state went and changed the rules, so
- 14:59Speaker 5: now it wouldn't be that it was illegal. They moved
- 15:01Speaker 5: the ages back. But we just started hunting early. My
- 15:05Speaker 5: dad liked it. He liked he wanted us to be
- 15:07Speaker 5: out in the woods, and he thought if you were
- 15:10Speaker 5: doing that, then that's what you ought to be doing.
- 15:13Speaker 1: Similar where again, I was born in the eighties, so
- 15:18Speaker 1: there weren't as many rules. And again now from a
- 15:20Speaker 1: town of seven hundred people in rural Arkansas, so the
- 15:23Speaker 1: rules were just different based on lifestyle. But it was hey,
- 15:27Speaker 1: once you're like ten, get a Hunter's ED card. But
- 15:29Speaker 1: I was already hunting, so Hunter's that was easy. So
- 15:32Speaker 1: I got my card. But that was like the stamp
- 15:34Speaker 1: of you're now able to say you're hunting because you
- 15:37Speaker 1: have your Hunter's Ed card, and then it became a
- 15:39Speaker 1: license type thing. I don't even know what the law is, like,
- 15:42Speaker 1: how what is the law to actually have a gun
- 15:45Speaker 1: and hunt?
- 15:45Speaker 6: Now?
- 15:47Speaker 5: Well, man, they keep moving it back. I love it
- 15:48Speaker 5: because again, let's take Michigan. I can speak to a
- 15:54Speaker 5: bunch of different states where I've had some exposure, but
- 15:56Speaker 5: in Michigan it would be that you couldn't hunt small
- 15:59Speaker 5: game to your twelve Okay, you could hunt archery deer,
- 16:04Speaker 5: so you'd hunt deer with a bow at twelve, and
- 16:07Speaker 5: you couldn't hunt deer with a rifle till you were fourteen.
- 16:11Speaker 5: Now they've gotten rid of all that stuff. Now it's
- 16:14Speaker 5: up to the parent, which is what it should be
- 16:17Speaker 5: the state where I live in Montana, and in Montana,
- 16:20Speaker 5: kid has to be ten to do, you know, to
- 16:24Speaker 5: legally hunt, right. But I also take my kids to
- 16:27Speaker 5: my buddy's place to hunt turkeys in the spring in Wisconsin,
- 16:31Speaker 5: and there it's up to the parent, but they have
- 16:34Speaker 5: to be mentored, so they have to be with a
- 16:36Speaker 5: license hunter of a certain age right who's within arm's
- 16:41Speaker 5: reach of them, which and then they can start on
- 16:45Speaker 5: their own a little bit earlier. So it's a really
- 16:48Speaker 5: nice thing that's happened over the years. Like you tend
- 16:50Speaker 5: to think of everything getting more restrictive and you know,
- 16:54Speaker 5: less freedoms. But in this case, the states, most states
- 16:58Speaker 5: have really done a good job of allowing kids earlier
- 17:02Speaker 5: entry into the sport as long as they're being mentored,
- 17:05Speaker 5: which I think is great. Like you can hunt two
- 17:07Speaker 5: years of Montana with a mentor before you have to
- 17:10Speaker 5: take hunter safety. So it really helps you get your
- 17:13Speaker 5: kids out early. I get my kids hunting early. Man,
- 17:17Speaker 5: I don't want it. It'll never be like surprising to them.
- 17:20Speaker 5: You know, they just grew up around it, right, That's
- 17:22Speaker 5: how I like to do it.
- 17:24Speaker 4: Steven, Yeah, you bring up a good point about the
- 17:26Speaker 4: kids kind of like going out early. What I experienced
- 17:29Speaker 4: with my kids was, you know, them seeing an animal
- 17:33Speaker 4: die for the first time, and how they receive that,
- 17:36Speaker 4: you know, very differently. Some kids are like, wow, okay, cool,
- 17:38Speaker 4: we got we got a bird. Some are like that
- 17:41Speaker 4: bird just died. How do you do that with Okay,
- 17:44Speaker 4: how did that happen with your kids?
- 17:46Speaker 5: We again saying I had to say I did with
- 17:49Speaker 5: them what happened with me, which is I just took
- 17:52Speaker 5: them out early. They've always been around it. You know.
- 17:55Speaker 5: I'll tell people like I could I could take something
- 18:02Speaker 5: anything I take. If I take something in my hands.
- 18:04Speaker 5: If we're out in the woods and I take something
- 18:05Speaker 5: in my hands and I tell my kid, I said, hey,
- 18:07Speaker 5: check this out, hold your hand out. They're gonna like
- 18:10Speaker 5: put their hand out and take what I hand them. Like,
- 18:13Speaker 5: you can't startle them. You know they're not You can't
- 18:17Speaker 5: startle them because I've always exposed them to stuff. They're
- 18:21Speaker 5: very comfortable in the outdoors, and they have a lot
- 18:24Speaker 5: of trust in me. And if I tell them something's cool,
- 18:28Speaker 5: they know it's cool. If I say, we ought to
- 18:30Speaker 5: be nervous right now, you know about grizzlies or whatever,
- 18:32Speaker 5: they know we ought to be nervous right now. If
- 18:34Speaker 5: I'd say that there's nothing to worry about, they trust
- 18:36Speaker 5: me that there's nothing to worry about. And that comes
- 18:38Speaker 5: from having them out at a young age and showing
- 18:42Speaker 5: demonstrating to them like a level of competency in the outdoors.
- 18:46Speaker 1: You know.
- 18:47Speaker 5: So I don't mean to, like I don't want to.
- 18:52Speaker 5: I usually find that the people that are most critical
- 18:54Speaker 5: about their kids have the best kids. Like the people
- 18:56Speaker 5: that complain the most about their kids have the best kids.
- 18:59Speaker 5: And I could about my kids all day long, and
- 19:01Speaker 5: if you want me to, I'll do that for an hour.
- 19:03Speaker 5: But there's certain things that are cool about them. And
- 19:06Speaker 5: one of the things is that they're really comfortable around hunting.
- 19:10Speaker 5: They're very comfortable around life and death. As my buddy says,
- 19:15Speaker 5: life and death on the farm, you know, and they
- 19:17Speaker 5: know that they know about life and they know about death.
- 19:21Speaker 1: You bring up a grizzly as an example, but one
- 19:25Speaker 1: charge to you right in Alaska? Can you and I've
- 19:27Speaker 1: heard the story, but can you tell the listeners that
- 19:29Speaker 1: are listening now a bit of that story.
- 19:32Speaker 5: Yeah, I've had a couple. I've had a couple of
- 19:34Speaker 5: grizzly charges. I've never been maybe I got touched by one,
- 19:38Speaker 5: but I don't really know. And I think the one
- 19:40Speaker 5: you're talking about is I was hunting on a fog
- 19:43Speaker 5: Nac island. And I'm sure a lot of your listeners
- 19:45Speaker 5: have heard of Kodiak Island. There's just in Alaska, there's
- 19:48Speaker 5: a very narrow strait that separates Kodiak and a fog
- 19:51Speaker 5: Ac and we're hunting on a Fognac island and I
- 19:53Speaker 5: had gotten an elk a couple of days earlier, and
- 19:57Speaker 5: we hung half the elk up in a big spruce tree,
- 20:02Speaker 5: and we went back to fetch it, just kind of stupidly.
- 20:07Speaker 5: I don't really know why. I felt that nothing had
- 20:10Speaker 5: found the elk yet, and so we sat to eat
- 20:12Speaker 5: lunch under the tree, me and my buddies that I
- 20:14Speaker 5: was with, And while we were there, a bear came
- 20:18Speaker 5: in and came in hard my one body. He had
- 20:23Speaker 5: his pistol and a pepper spray sitting on each side
- 20:27Speaker 5: of him. But when that bear came in, it happened
- 20:29Speaker 5: so fast. He smoked it across the face with a
- 20:32Speaker 5: pair of trekking poles. I twisted my ankle up bad.
- 20:37Speaker 5: I don't know. I feel like his foot landed on
- 20:40Speaker 5: my ankle, but I'm not totally positive. But it's crazy.
- 20:42Speaker 5: Is my buddy Dirt got knocked over by the bear.
- 20:46Speaker 5: And I'm not kidding you, man. Dirt rode the bear
- 20:49Speaker 5: straight downhill for about fifteen yards. I mean he rode,
- 20:53Speaker 5: He rode on the bear. I thought the bear had him,
- 20:57Speaker 5: I thought it was holding him. So we all ran
- 20:59Speaker 5: down the hill, but Dirk came squirting back up out
- 21:03Speaker 5: of the alders, running back the other way, and dude,
- 21:06Speaker 5: it was. It kind of messed with me a little
- 21:08Speaker 5: bit psychologically for a while, to be honest with you.
- 21:11Speaker 5: It was so close. It was so close.
- 21:14Speaker 1: I had a show on nat Geo for a while
- 21:17Speaker 1: and we went up. We fell into Bozemu and then
- 21:19Speaker 1: we drove into the park and probably two or three
- 21:21Speaker 1: hours out of Bozeman, and we were traveling around with
- 21:26Speaker 1: sheep herders because the predators come in at night and
- 21:30Speaker 1: try to eat the sheep, and so we were so
- 21:33Speaker 1: that's what we were doing.
- 21:34Speaker 6: We were with them.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I was kind of learning about what their job was
- 21:37Speaker 1: and how they'd be out for months at a time.
- 21:39Speaker 1: But you know, they had equipped me with things in case,
- 21:42Speaker 1: and we did end up seeing a bear.
- 21:43Speaker 6: It was far.
- 21:43Speaker 1: It was with the night vision, so we knew where
- 21:45Speaker 1: not to go. But they equiped me. They gave me
- 21:47Speaker 1: bear spray, and we didn't have grizzlies in Arkansas. We
- 21:50Speaker 1: had black bears and we'd have grizzlies. So they said, Okay,
- 21:54Speaker 1: if a bear attacks you, here's the bear spray. Shoot
- 21:57Speaker 1: it at the ground and then the bear will come
- 22:00Speaker 1: through the ground and stop. It felt to me like
- 22:01Speaker 1: when I was eleven, and they said, spray cologne in
- 22:03Speaker 1: the air and walk through it. I felt like there
- 22:05Speaker 1: was no way that this bear spray shooting into the
- 22:09Speaker 1: ground was going to stop a bear. So if you
- 22:11Speaker 1: were me and a bear was attacking, would you have
- 22:14Speaker 1: sprayed the spray at all?
- 22:16Speaker 4: Or would you just go full gun?
- 22:17Speaker 1: Like?
- 22:17Speaker 6: What do you know about bear spray?
- 22:19Speaker 5: What I think they're what they're meaning? Well, what I
- 22:22Speaker 5: know about bear sprays. I've been in two instances where
- 22:24Speaker 5: people have gotten hosed by spray, me and another person,
- 22:29Speaker 5: but I haven't been I haven't hosed a bear that yet.
- 22:32Speaker 5: I've shot in front of bears, you know, shot in
- 22:35Speaker 5: front of him to try to spook them. But what
- 22:40Speaker 5: I think what they're getting at is aim low with spray.
- 22:44Speaker 5: You know, you want to get so that bears like
- 22:46Speaker 5: twenty yards. If he's coming, and he's coming and he
- 22:49Speaker 5: gets to twenty yards, what they're saying is hose down
- 22:53Speaker 5: in front of him so that you're not blowing it
- 22:58Speaker 5: back over the top of them, but you're owing it.
- 23:01Speaker 5: I would think you're aiming. If he's coming, you're aiming
- 23:04Speaker 5: down at his feet, you know, if.
- 23:06Speaker 6: He's coming up running and peeing everywhere.
- 23:09Speaker 5: Yeah, because you're putting out a cloud of that stuff, right,
- 23:12Speaker 5: and man, I know. So I interviewed a girl one
- 23:17Speaker 5: time that was getting mauled by a grizzly and she
- 23:19Speaker 5: had her spray on her chest. She was a grizzly
- 23:23Speaker 5: bear researcher. She had her spray on her chest and
- 23:26Speaker 5: the bear got her down and it actually got one
- 23:28Speaker 5: of its one of its canines, and through pop through
- 23:33Speaker 5: her skull. But she had her spray on her chest
- 23:37Speaker 5: and without even being able to see the bear was
- 23:40Speaker 5: able to take that spray in her chest and shoot
- 23:42Speaker 5: it like over her own shoulder and got it in
- 23:45Speaker 5: the face and it dropped her. I interviewed another dude
- 23:50Speaker 5: that last year he got malled. All he managed to
- 23:54Speaker 5: do is get his spray out before the bear hit him,
- 23:57Speaker 5: and the bear was mauling him and he was trying
- 23:59Speaker 5: to so he had his spray. There's like a ring
- 24:01Speaker 5: on your spray. It looks like like a trigger guard.
- 24:05Speaker 5: It's like a little handle, and he had his spray
- 24:07Speaker 5: like hanging from that ring. Like here's a people that
- 24:10Speaker 5: are watching, like I'm holding a suppressor, but picture that
- 24:13Speaker 5: I had a ring on it. So he's holding the
- 24:15Speaker 5: canister like this, and he goes to protect They always
- 24:19Speaker 5: tell you to protect the back of your neck with
- 24:20Speaker 5: your hands if you're getting muled. And he goes to
- 24:23Speaker 5: protect the back of his neck, but he's got that
- 24:25Speaker 5: spray on there like a ring. And that bear bit
- 24:28Speaker 5: through the spray and hosed itself by biting the spray
- 24:34Speaker 5: and got a mouthful of that and dropped him and
- 24:37Speaker 5: ran off. And what's hilarious, dude, is my kids lost
- 24:41Speaker 5: one of my sprays last summer, and later me and
- 24:46Speaker 5: my wife find the spray laying all that this place
- 24:49Speaker 5: where we can't we final where they drop the spray,
- 24:51Speaker 5: and the spray is erupted, and it's got four big
- 24:55Speaker 5: bite marks in it, like a bear found that and
- 24:57Speaker 5: bit because there's something about there's something about the smell
- 25:02Speaker 5: of it that, in small doses is attractive to him.
- 25:05Speaker 5: I'll never get it, man, but it bit that sucker,
- 25:08Speaker 5: so he must have got a faceful. He must have
- 25:10Speaker 5: got a faceful of that junk.
- 25:13Speaker 1: My fear was because I'll be in like action movies
- 25:15Speaker 1: where they have like the rocket launcher and the person
- 25:17Speaker 1: that doesn't know how to use it holds it up
- 25:18Speaker 1: and they end up shooting backward. That happens, and my
- 25:21Speaker 1: fear was if a bear's coming at me, okay, and
- 25:23Speaker 1: I end up spraying myself because they can. Luckily never
- 25:28Speaker 1: had to use it. But they also said, like, don't
- 25:30Speaker 1: shoot a bear because you will get in trouble if
- 25:32Speaker 1: you shoot a bear unless you can actually prove you're
- 25:35Speaker 1: being attacked or threatened. And I thought, if there's anywhere
- 25:39Speaker 1: near me like something's getting shot me or it like
- 25:41Speaker 1: something's getting shot. But that was their big lesson was
- 25:45Speaker 1: the reason we say this is because we can't have
- 25:46Speaker 1: people shooting bears.
- 25:48Speaker 5: Well, they do investigate it, but I mean every year,
- 25:51Speaker 5: you know, like in the state I live in, you know,
- 25:55Speaker 5: we got a thousand grizzly bears right in this area,
- 25:59Speaker 5: you know. I mean, we could argue all day about
- 26:01Speaker 5: the exact numbers, but we got grizzy bears. We have
- 26:05Speaker 5: ten times as many black bears, which never kill anybody
- 26:07Speaker 5: in Montana. But every year grizzlies dust off one or
- 26:11Speaker 5: two people in Montana. And every year people dust off
- 26:17Speaker 5: a handful of grizzlies and they get killed by a
- 26:23Speaker 5: lot of times, you get killed by bow hunters who
- 26:26Speaker 5: are hunt elk and they'll investigate it. But oftentimes it's
- 26:30Speaker 5: totally legitimate. Man. It's like you know, you're you get
- 26:35Speaker 5: hit or you got one coming at you. But yeah,
- 26:37Speaker 5: they'll come out the US Fish and Wildlife Service, they'll
- 26:39Speaker 5: investigate the incidents. They'll find out if you were jumpy,
- 26:43Speaker 5: you know, if it was going away at forty yards
- 26:47Speaker 5: and it was walking away and you shoot it, yeah,
- 26:49Speaker 5: you're gonna be in trouble because you just got too jumpy. Yeah,
- 26:52Speaker 5: if that thing's coming at you and it's five yards
- 26:54Speaker 5: away and no one's gonna they're not gonna blame you.
- 26:56Speaker 5: But people gotta be cool headed. That's the thing about spray,
- 26:59Speaker 5: Like it's people argue this in my world, Like people
- 27:04Speaker 5: argue this all day long, dude, people like this ruins friendships,
- 27:07Speaker 5: this argument of pistols versus bear spray. But like it
- 27:10Speaker 5: does seem there's a very compelling case to be made
- 27:14Speaker 5: that spray is better, especially if you're not like a
- 27:18Speaker 5: super experienced marksman with a pistol, because with spray, you
- 27:24Speaker 5: don't need to be accurate. You just need to be
- 27:26Speaker 5: in the right in the right direction, you know.
- 27:29Speaker 1: With your show hunting, Well, yeah, it also feels to
- 27:33Speaker 1: me like you know, bird shot, a buckshot versus a
- 27:36Speaker 1: slug or a rifle, right like you if you got
- 27:38Speaker 1: one shot for me, I'm not going to be as
- 27:40Speaker 1: good of a shot as some of my friends. So
- 27:42Speaker 1: I want that spread to be as wide as possible.
- 27:44Speaker 1: And that's basically what the bear spray is versus a
- 27:47Speaker 1: pistol or rifle.
- 27:48Speaker 5: Yeah, everybody likes to think there's some commando with their pistol,
- 27:51Speaker 5: you know, dude.
- 27:52Speaker 1: Yeah, hunting history, what's interesting to me is how people
- 27:57Speaker 1: hunted before we existed.
- 28:01Speaker 6: I grew up in Arkansas where there's a lot.
- 28:03Speaker 1: Of Native America and their arrowheads just randomly in places,
- 28:07Speaker 1: and to me it was wild and how they would
- 28:08Speaker 1: create arrows. Like to you, because you've spent so much
- 28:12Speaker 1: time studying this, documenting that you've made this into a show,
- 28:15Speaker 1: like what is the technology that now we look at
- 28:17Speaker 1: to go, how in the heck do they do that?
- 28:19Speaker 1: But they were able to be effective hunting.
- 28:21Speaker 5: You know. I was having this discussion in the r
- 28:24Speaker 5: day with a historian who spends a lot of time
- 28:28Speaker 5: working on questions around what would it have been like
- 28:35Speaker 5: for the first humans to come into the New World?
- 28:37Speaker 5: Like what would have been like the first people to
- 28:38Speaker 5: touch the ground and what is now the United States.
- 28:41Speaker 5: And there's this idea that these hunters, these ice age
- 28:47Speaker 5: hunters we call them clob as hunters now or other names,
- 28:50Speaker 5: that these ice age hunters were able to wipe out
- 28:53Speaker 5: mammoths using spheares. And you'd say, well, how in the
- 28:59Speaker 5: world is that possible. But picture it like this, that
- 29:01Speaker 5: like the mammas had never seen anybody before, you know,
- 29:08Speaker 5: so we get accustom now to wildlife that has a
- 29:13Speaker 5: pretty good familiarity with humans.
- 29:15Speaker 4: You know.
- 29:16Speaker 5: You'll see that. You'll see with all these different species
- 29:20Speaker 5: that they have a pretty good sense of what is
- 29:21Speaker 5: a safe distance from people. Compare that to accounts that
- 29:27Speaker 5: you read of like whalers being the first people to
- 29:30Speaker 5: ever step foot on some island, like even in the
- 29:33Speaker 5: early nineteen hundreds, late eighteen hundreds, like whalers will be
- 29:36Speaker 5: the first people to arrive at an island. And look
- 29:38Speaker 5: what they describe. They describe you walk up and literally
- 29:41Speaker 5: pick up wildlife, birds land on you. Things exhibit zero
- 29:46Speaker 5: fear of people. I'm not detracting from the skill sets
- 29:53Speaker 5: of these ancient hunters, but they were in a different
- 29:57Speaker 5: set of circumstances dealing with wildf They had a different
- 30:01Speaker 5: sense of what the threat that humans presented. You know.
- 30:04Speaker 5: So now if you're bow hunting elk, it might be
- 30:06Speaker 5: really challenging to get forty yards from an elk that's
- 30:10Speaker 5: had some hunting pressure put on it, right, But maybe
- 30:16Speaker 5: a few hundred years ago it was pretty easy to
- 30:21Speaker 5: get Maybe it was challenging to get four or five
- 30:23Speaker 5: yards away from an elk, right. So the technologies have changed,
- 30:29Speaker 5: but so is the response, the human response to animals.
- 30:34Speaker 5: It's a real rich field of inquiry, man, And that's
- 30:36Speaker 5: just like one element. The other element of it is
- 30:38Speaker 5: is that if you live in a lot of states
- 30:41Speaker 5: now and you're like a big deer hunter, you might
- 30:44Speaker 5: only have a ten day deer season. So you could
- 30:46Speaker 5: identify as a deer hunter, and you might read about
- 30:50Speaker 5: deer hunting and dream about deer hunting, but when it
- 30:53Speaker 5: comes down to it, you deer hunt ten days, you know,
- 30:56Speaker 5: for some people. Now imagine that. Imagine that you deer
- 31:02Speaker 5: hunted two hundred days a year in the same areas
- 31:07Speaker 5: that your father hunted two hundred days a year for
- 31:10Speaker 5: forty years, in the same area that your grandfather hunted
- 31:14Speaker 5: two days a year or two hundred days a year
- 31:16Speaker 5: for forty years. Imagine the body of knowledge that you
- 31:21Speaker 5: would have accumulated. So like, our ideas about hunting and
- 31:26Speaker 5: tactical understandings of it are probably just like nothing compared
- 31:31Speaker 5: to people that lived a hunter gather lifestyle. And I've
- 31:34Speaker 5: been fortunate to travel in South America with in you know,
- 31:37Speaker 5: indigenous hunter gathers, and I'm telling you can't keep up
- 31:39Speaker 5: with them. Mentally, you can't keep up with them.
- 31:43Speaker 1: I was going through and I don't I definite don't
- 31:45Speaker 1: want to spoil anything in the work that you've done.
- 31:47Speaker 1: But I've been fascinated with Dbe Cooper. I can envision
- 31:49Speaker 1: the drawing that has existed in mind. I can just
- 31:51Speaker 1: see it, the drawing of him and what they think
- 31:53Speaker 1: he looked like, and how he did and how he
- 31:55Speaker 1: jumped out of the plane. Do you think he survived?
- 31:59Speaker 5: You know what I went in. We did a Yeah,
- 32:01Speaker 5: we did a hunting history episode on dB. Cooper. We
- 32:04Speaker 5: just focused on that question because a lot of it,
- 32:06Speaker 5: like like our focus is always on these areas of
- 32:10Speaker 5: mysteries that have a wilderness component to have like a
- 32:14Speaker 5: survival component or a hunter gatherer component, And with dB
- 32:17Speaker 5: Cooper we got into that that this jump the jump zone,
- 32:22Speaker 5: so just for people to for quick recap. In the
- 32:24Speaker 5: nineteen seventies, there was this there was this like epidemic
- 32:26Speaker 5: of skyjackings. D B. Cooper is the only unsolved skyjacking
- 32:30Speaker 5: in US history where a guy gets on a plane,
- 32:33Speaker 5: takes hostages, demands money, gets the money, jumps out of
- 32:37Speaker 5: a plane never to be seen again, jumps out in Washington.
- 32:40Speaker 5: The FBI identified a drop zone based on all these
- 32:43Speaker 5: different inputs, and it was like rugged, mountainous terrain, heavily forested.
- 32:49Speaker 5: I always, just as a passive, like you know, dB Cooper,
- 32:52Speaker 5: observer reader, I always saw there's no way the guy lived.
- 32:57Speaker 5: You know, he jumped out at night, he didn't pack
- 33:01Speaker 5: his own shoot I just thought the reason they never
- 33:04Speaker 5: found him is he was burrowed into the mucking moss
- 33:06Speaker 5: somewhere and that was it. Right. But man, after working
- 33:12Speaker 5: on that episode and hanging around with you know, Paara,
- 33:15Speaker 5: shooters that have done like twelve thousand jumps, military paratroopers, dude,
- 33:22Speaker 5: these people that really know that world, They're like, no,
- 33:24Speaker 5: there's no reason to think he wasn't fine. They're just like,
- 33:28Speaker 5: why no, land in the tree don't matter? Land Like
- 33:30Speaker 5: They're like, he definitely is fine. It really changed my idea.
- 33:34Speaker 5: So then it brings up the next question is what
- 33:36Speaker 5: happened to him when he hit the ground and what
- 33:37Speaker 5: did he do?
- 33:38Speaker 4: Well?
- 33:38Speaker 1: They found money too, like like parts of dollar bills
- 33:41Speaker 1: in the area, but they did well.
- 33:44Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, dude, yeah they did.
- 33:47Speaker 4: What do you not say?
- 33:48Speaker 6: What do you what are you trying to not say
- 33:50Speaker 6: right now?
- 33:50Speaker 4: What do you what do you think? No?
- 33:52Speaker 5: No, no, they did. It was the money way away
- 33:56Speaker 5: from there in the clumb or way away from the
- 33:59Speaker 5: FBI's drops. A kid was clearing out a place to
- 34:02Speaker 5: make a fire on the beach on the Columbia River
- 34:04Speaker 5: on a mud bar. He's cleared out a little place
- 34:07Speaker 5: to make a fire and finds a stack of rotten
- 34:10Speaker 5: twenty dollars bills. And this is in the eighties. If
- 34:16Speaker 5: you look at the FBI's drop zone, Okay, what the
- 34:19Speaker 5: FBI determined to be the drop zone. If dB cooper
- 34:23Speaker 5: it dropped that money either in the air, threw it
- 34:27Speaker 5: out of the plane whatever, like, landed, lost it, whatever,
- 34:32Speaker 5: and you put it into a creek and there's a
- 34:34Speaker 5: lot of rivers and creeks there, and you put it
- 34:36Speaker 5: in a creek, it would not have washed to the
- 34:40Speaker 5: place where it was deposited in a gravel bar. So
- 34:46Speaker 5: either the drop zone is all the way way off,
- 34:51Speaker 5: either it's way off and he dropped it, or whatever
- 34:58Speaker 5: the hell happened, or some one after the fact, someone
- 35:02Speaker 5: later after the fact went and buried that stuff. There
- 35:07Speaker 5: a guy I interview and hang out with in there
- 35:09Speaker 5: who is a real he's like a citizen sleuth type
- 35:12Speaker 5: that has really dedicated himself to the DV Cooper mystery.
- 35:16Speaker 5: He thinks that the FBI's drop zone was off and
- 35:20Speaker 5: they were way off, and that dB Cooper buried that
- 35:27Speaker 5: stuff in the gravel bar. What's funny, now, when I
- 35:29Speaker 5: went to the spot, when you go to the spot,
- 35:31Speaker 5: you're sitting nine feet below where they found the money.
- 35:33Speaker 5: So if you said it, where'd you find the money,
- 35:35Speaker 5: it was nine feet over your head because that gravel
- 35:37Speaker 5: bar is gone now the Columbia River ate it. So, dude,
- 35:43Speaker 5: it's like it is such a rabbit hole, man, you
- 35:45Speaker 5: can't It'll like, dude, if you get into the whole
- 35:49Speaker 5: DV Cooper thing and you start unraveling all the things
- 35:52Speaker 5: that it'll kill you. I mean it'll kill you because
- 35:54Speaker 5: it's too much, too much. It's such a perfect it's
- 35:56Speaker 5: like the perfect mystery. It's the gift that keeps giving.
- 36:00Speaker 1: The show Hunting History with Steven Roanella. It's eight episodes.
- 36:04Speaker 1: He's teaming up with the historians, an archaeologist, and a
- 36:06Speaker 1: really cool cast of outdoor professionals. And it's very much storytelling.
- 36:11Speaker 1: And I think that's what you know, having consumed your
- 36:14Speaker 1: content in different ways. I think that's what's a bit
- 36:17Speaker 1: different about this is it feels to me like this
- 36:20Speaker 1: is a new element because there is so much storytelling involved.
- 36:23Speaker 5: Yeah, it is. Man, when we were looking at all
- 36:25Speaker 5: these stories, like we did a great one on the
- 36:27Speaker 5: Donner Party too.
- 36:29Speaker 6: That's crazy at all these stories the Donnor Party is crazy.
- 36:32Speaker 1: They will you just give a brief description of that
- 36:34Speaker 1: so people know what you're talking about.
- 36:35Speaker 5: Oh yeah, I was telling this some I was telling
- 36:38Speaker 5: the story to my kids last night or dinner. So
- 36:40Speaker 5: in eighteen forty six, people are through at the Oregon Trail.
- 36:44Speaker 5: Right well, in eighteen forty six, this big group of
- 36:47Speaker 5: families they all leave Missouri and they're traveling together or
- 36:50Speaker 5: over the Oregon Trail, and this group of them, these
- 36:52Speaker 5: are kind of loose groupings of families, but this group
- 36:55Speaker 5: of them, under this under the leadership, with this patriot,
- 37:00Speaker 5: this Donner fellow, they decide to take a thing called
- 37:03Speaker 5: the Hastings cut Off, which is supposed to be a
- 37:05Speaker 5: short cut to California. In fact, it's like a long cut.
- 37:09Speaker 5: It's worse conditions. And now we understand with you know
- 37:14Speaker 5: now that you can look at a map, it's actually longer.
- 37:16Speaker 5: So it's like a longer, worse route billed as a
- 37:19Speaker 5: short cut. So that when they get to the they
- 37:22Speaker 5: have to cross the Sierra Nevada. The picture of this
- 37:26Speaker 5: is the mountain range. It separates like Nevada from California. Great,
- 37:29Speaker 5: you know, great skiing destination. Now they have to cross
- 37:32Speaker 5: the Sierra Vana. There's a early blizzard, there's early snowstorm,
- 37:36Speaker 5: and it catches them way up in the mountains. It's
- 37:38Speaker 5: early enough in the year they think that maybe it'll
- 37:40Speaker 5: melt off and they'll be able to continue on their way,
- 37:43Speaker 5: but it just gets worse and worse, to the point
- 37:45Speaker 5: where eventually they can't even backtrack. They can't go back
- 37:47Speaker 5: the way they came and they get stuck there. What
- 37:51Speaker 5: they're really famous for is they're famous for cannibalism. So
- 37:54Speaker 5: if you make a joke about the Donner Party today,
- 37:57Speaker 5: like Donner Family Dinner right, winds up being as a
- 38:00Speaker 5: cannibalism joke. And they did resort to cannibalism. However, there's
- 38:05Speaker 5: like this thing and I knew all that outline, right,
- 38:08Speaker 5: but here here's here's what I did never, I never
- 38:10Speaker 5: thought about. And I have three kids. Over half of
- 38:15Speaker 5: the people in the Donner Party were little kids, were children,
- 38:20Speaker 5: and children wound up being of the survivors. Over half
- 38:24Speaker 5: of the Donner Party survived, and children were far more
- 38:29Speaker 5: likely than the adults to survive the ordeal. So you
- 38:33Speaker 5: could look at the Donner Party as this American horror
- 38:36Speaker 5: story about these people committing this atrocity of cannibalism, or
- 38:39Speaker 5: you could look at it like this, which is the
- 38:41Speaker 5: conclusion I come away with. You could look at it
- 38:43Speaker 5: like this, It was people family doing everything possible, and
- 38:51Speaker 5: I mean everything possible to keep their children alive. Very
- 38:58Speaker 5: different like of looking at something. And when I got done,
- 39:02Speaker 5: I'm like, dude, I'm gonna stop making jokes about I'm
- 39:05Speaker 5: gonna stop making Donner Party cannibalism jokes.
- 39:08Speaker 1: Man.
- 39:08Speaker 5: It was a herrowing thing, and it's and it's and
- 39:11Speaker 5: they get kind of blamed for it, you know, but dude,
- 39:14Speaker 5: it was a freak blizzard and people had successfully crossed
- 39:18Speaker 5: the Sierra Nevada had successfully crossed later in the year
- 39:24Speaker 5: than they did. It was just they were just victims
- 39:28Speaker 5: of horrible luck and something really bad happened him. They
- 39:31Speaker 5: weren't like, they weren't dumb, they weren't desperate. I mean,
- 39:36Speaker 5: they got desperate, but they were.
- 39:40Speaker 6: You know.
- 39:40Speaker 5: It's it's like this heroic tale that has been just
- 39:44Speaker 5: kind of abused over the years.
- 39:45Speaker 1: I think I like to encourage everybody check it out
- 39:48Speaker 1: Hunting History with Steven Arnella and follow Stephen at Stevenarrella
- 39:51Speaker 1: on Instagram.
- 39:52Speaker 6: I really appreciate the half hour he spent with Stephen.
- 39:55Speaker 1: Great stories, big fan, and I again, who the heck
- 40:00Speaker 1: was dB Cooper? Even I think I've watched so many
- 40:02Speaker 1: many documentaries, documentaries, I've watched tiktoks on people's theories then
- 40:07Speaker 1: all of it.
- 40:08Speaker 4: I didn't know who you guys were talking about, but
- 40:09Speaker 4: I'm all in.
- 40:10Speaker 6: Do you see the picture of them, though, does it
- 40:11Speaker 6: recognize it?
- 40:12Speaker 4: I didn't even look at it. I'm all in the
- 40:14Speaker 4: when we're done with it, I'm all in.
- 40:16Speaker 5: Can I tell you one last funny thing?
- 40:17Speaker 6: Yes, sir?
- 40:18Speaker 5: So after like while working on that DV Cooper deal. Later,
- 40:24Speaker 5: I get a message from a guy who sends me
- 40:27Speaker 5: some pictures of the FBI guy, the FBI agent who
- 40:31Speaker 5: was prepping the people to do the composite drawing. So
- 40:35Speaker 5: the picture you're talking about of what he supposed he
- 40:37Speaker 5: looks like it was so funny? Is the drawing looks
- 40:42Speaker 5: astonishingly similar to the FBI agent, Like here was the
- 40:47Speaker 5: last guy they talked to, and it almost like they
- 40:50Speaker 5: described the last dude they spoke That is.
- 40:53Speaker 1: Weird, Steve. I appreciate you, man. I hope you have
- 40:56Speaker 1: a great day. Good luck with the series, and hopefully
- 40:59Speaker 1: I'll run it. See you somewhere, man.
- 41:01Speaker 5: I'd like to meet you sometime. Man, but I'll let
- 41:03Speaker 5: you go now. I'll take care, all.

- 42:36Speaker 1: I saw where twenty four seven sports had the five
- 42:39Speaker 1: worst NFL teams to be a fan of, according to science.
- 42:44Speaker 1: So according to science, yeah, okay, So they use a
- 42:47Speaker 1: lot of different things, performance relative to expectations, draft decisions,
- 42:51Speaker 1: roster talent, fan morale. So before I read you this
- 42:55Speaker 1: and we can go any sport, this will be NFL. Okay,
- 42:58Speaker 1: and this will be in conclusion, what team does it
- 43:02Speaker 1: suck to be a fan of? And I will go first, Well,
- 43:05Speaker 1: I have to the Arkansas Razorbacks. Anytime we get a blip,
- 43:11Speaker 1: it goes away quick. And then I've been a Chicago
- 43:14Speaker 1: Cups fan my whole life. We had it in twenty sixteen.
- 43:16Speaker 1: That was great, but it's very difficult up until that point,
- 43:18Speaker 1: it's been difficult since that's a self I'm a selfish
- 43:21Speaker 1: I'm a loser in sports, from my sports SCEINMS, I'm
- 43:24Speaker 1: a loser. So I'll put them up on the list.
- 43:26Speaker 6: The Razorbacks. Yeah, I didn't choose it.
- 43:30Speaker 4: It shows you, It shows.
- 43:31Speaker 6: Me and I.
- 43:34Speaker 1: If anything, I am consistent and I start crying, you know,
- 43:45Speaker 1: I stay with my people. So I will never not
- 43:49Speaker 1: be a Cups fan. I will never not be an
- 43:51Speaker 1: Arkansas Razor Backe fan. But it's been tough, Eddie.
- 43:54Speaker 6: Are you going with the Are you going with the Cowboys?
- 43:56Speaker 8: No?
- 43:56Speaker 4: No, I love being a Cowboys fan.
- 43:57Speaker 6: But hard to be a fan is the question.
- 43:59Speaker 4: It's very different to be a fan one because America
- 44:02Speaker 4: hates you, like people just hate this. People hate Cowboys fans.
- 44:05Speaker 6: Why do you think that is? Though? No, you don't
- 44:07Speaker 6: just exist. We do exist, but you don't just exist.
- 44:09Speaker 1: I was gonna ask, but you kind of answered the
- 44:11Speaker 1: question because that's not true. Why do you think people
- 44:13Speaker 1: hate Cowboys fans?
- 44:15Speaker 4: I think the whole America's team. Uh, we're always you know,
- 44:21Speaker 4: and the media covers us all the time. That's part
- 44:23Speaker 4: of the Yes, even if we're bad, they cover how
- 44:26Speaker 4: bad we are. Like bad decisions, they cover the bad decisions.
- 44:30Speaker 4: I don't know, man, and we're always just there, like
- 44:33Speaker 4: primetime too, TV puts us at prime time. I think
- 44:36Speaker 4: that the whole media, sports talk all them want the
- 44:41Speaker 4: Cowboys as far as topics go. But fans they're just like,
- 44:44Speaker 4: shut up, our team's way better than the Cowboys, and
- 44:46Speaker 4: you never cover us.
- 44:47Speaker 1: Yeah, I think Cowboys fans they have a sense of
- 44:52Speaker 1: importance when they really don't as far as how good
- 44:56Speaker 1: the team has been. But that team gets clicks and
- 45:00Speaker 1: use so they get shoved in everybody's face even when
- 45:02Speaker 1: they're bad.
- 45:02Speaker 4: So then people resent them, Like I think my son
- 45:04Speaker 4: got mad the like in the season because we got
- 45:07Speaker 4: game of the week or something and it was like
- 45:08Speaker 4: us in the Giants, like how is this the game
- 45:11Speaker 4: of the week.
- 45:11Speaker 1: But it's also people like you going, I don't get it.
- 45:14Speaker 1: I don't get we just exist. That's just not true.
- 45:16Speaker 4: You exist.
- 45:16Speaker 1: You're shoved down everybody's throats, and if you could just admit,
- 45:19Speaker 1: is that our fault? But if you could admit, I
- 45:22Speaker 1: know what's annoying? All everybody wants to talk about Cowboys
- 45:24Speaker 1: and we suck. It would be different, but Cowboys fans
- 45:27Speaker 1: have a sense of belonging when they don't really belong.
- 45:30Speaker 4: I guess it's kind of cool though that, like they
- 45:33Speaker 4: cover us any anyway, Like even if we're bad and
- 45:36Speaker 4: we're hurting or whatever, it's still kind of cool that
- 45:38Speaker 4: people still talk about the Cowboys because they get clicks. Yeah,
- 45:41Speaker 4: but that has nothing to do with us. We're just living.
- 45:43Speaker 4: That's not sure.
- 45:44Speaker 6: You're not just living though you're America's team. You say it, Casey.
- 45:50Speaker 7: Well, I mean, I gotta go with the New York
- 45:51Speaker 7: freaking Jets. It's New York in the winter. The field sucks,
- 45:56Speaker 7: the owner sucks. He got an f in the grading thing.
- 46:00Speaker 7: Uh yeah, it's it's I feel like we're the number
- 46:03Speaker 7: one thing on this list.
- 46:04Speaker 6: We're not number one money on that.
- 46:05Speaker 5: No.
- 46:06Speaker 4: Oh, okay, Brown, number one.
- 46:07Speaker 6: Brown, number one.
- 46:08Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 46:08Speaker 1: NFL, let's go baseball then real quick. It sucks to
- 46:12Speaker 1: be a fan of I'm gonna go Kansas City. They
- 46:14Speaker 1: have a small market team, no love. Uh, they don't
- 46:18Speaker 1: spend money. Baseball does not have a salary cap, so
- 46:23Speaker 1: they'll have to pay extra taxes. But the Yankees can
- 46:26Speaker 1: spend all they want. The Dodgers can spend all they want,
- 46:28Speaker 1: and they do, and so luxury tax is different.
- 46:33Speaker 6: Than a cap. And in the NBA they have different
- 46:36Speaker 6: like aprons. Right yeah, but baseball.
- 46:39Speaker 1: You just spend all you want, get all you want,
- 46:41Speaker 1: and then you'll pay a little luxury tax on it.
- 46:43Speaker 1: It's wild and that's why the teams like the Yankees
- 46:46Speaker 1: and the Dodgers. I say, Yankees, they don't want World
- 46:48Speaker 1: Series is, but they're always in the mix.
- 46:50Speaker 4: Yeah. Yeah, about what about the A's, Like they still
- 46:54Speaker 4: share a field.
- 46:54Speaker 6: The A's aren't even the A's are moving. I think, yeah,
- 46:58Speaker 6: that's how much that's tough.
- 47:00Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, that's got to be hard, like if you're
- 47:03Speaker 4: a lifelong A's fan.
- 47:04Speaker 6: So the A's exist, but not in Oakland anymore. It's
- 47:06Speaker 6: gonna be the Las Vegas I guess.
- 47:08Speaker 7: Yeah, all their teams are gone now right because the
- 47:11Speaker 7: Raiders and uh the Warriors.
- 47:13Speaker 4: I mean real though it's Oakland like, but what were
- 47:16Speaker 4: they doing with the team anyway? Like San Francisco. I
- 47:19Speaker 4: understand you're a big market Oakland.
- 47:22Speaker 6: Don't be a hater.
- 47:23Speaker 1: Dade don't a city on a city, So I go Royals,
- 47:30Speaker 1: you know, the Indians can be tough. All They've had
- 47:32Speaker 1: some good teams, but that can be tough if they
- 47:33Speaker 1: don't spend money. The small market teams in baseball, Pittsburgh.
- 47:36Speaker 6: The good one. Yeah.
- 47:38Speaker 1: Basketball, harlet, Oh, Charlotte terrible. I'd hate to be a
- 47:42Speaker 1: Charlotte fan. I'd hate to be a Pelicans fan.
- 47:44Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 47:45Speaker 1: And the Pelicans, it's not their fault. They missed on
- 47:48Speaker 1: Zion because they didn't miss they had to drive Zion.
- 47:50Speaker 1: They got lucky enough to get the number one overall
- 47:51Speaker 1: pick and that set them back. Yeah, so it would
- 47:54Speaker 1: suck to be a Pelicans fan.
- 47:56Speaker 4: Have the Hawks done anything?
- 47:58Speaker 1: I mean, Trey Young keeps them in that mediocre play
- 48:00Speaker 1: where he goes and scores forty but they don't win.
- 48:02Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 48:03Speaker 1: Like he's like every once in a while to go
- 48:04Speaker 1: to New York and you know, beat the Knicks and
- 48:06Speaker 1: choke himself. Yeah. Yeah, let's bike Lee here. Atlanta will
- 48:09Speaker 1: be a tough, tough basketball team. Be a fan of it,
- 48:11Speaker 1: because they really they don't suck. They're the Steelers of
- 48:14Speaker 1: the NBA where they don't suck enough. They finally did
- 48:17Speaker 1: get a top pick this last year and it was
- 48:19Speaker 1: the worst draft ever.
- 48:20Speaker 4: Yeah, and they have stuff.
- 48:22Speaker 1: And they have you know, as of right now, one
- 48:25Speaker 1: of the top three picks for nexture, but the Spurs
- 48:27Speaker 1: own their pick. So yeah, be tough to being a
- 48:30Speaker 1: Hawks fan.
- 48:31Speaker 4: Trailblazers too.
- 48:32Speaker 7: I feel like it's been pretty rough.
- 48:34Speaker 1: And you're so disconnected up there, which is why players
- 48:36Speaker 1: really don't want to go up there.
- 48:38Speaker 6: Yeah, that would be tough. And then football, all these
- 48:41Speaker 6: are football ready.
- 48:42Speaker 1: Number five the Tennessee Titans, we know this, but we
- 48:46Speaker 1: don't expect anything at this point.
- 48:48Speaker 4: Who who's their best player? Like right now, right now,
- 48:52Speaker 4: I've thought about that. I'm like, man, I can't name.
- 48:56Speaker 6: Super Yeah the cornerback that came from Kansas City.
- 48:59Speaker 7: Yeah sneat, Yeah, Steed's good.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Oh yeah, okay, But again, football has so many freaking
- 49:04Speaker 1: positions that unless you're more than a casual, you're not
- 49:09Speaker 1: even gonna know that. Their colors look slow.
- 49:11Speaker 6: Everything's about the how's the kicker for the Titans.
- 49:14Speaker 4: I don't even know the kicker I'm going to tell
- 49:16Speaker 4: you now.
- 49:17Speaker 7: With the whole science factor, though, it's like.
- 49:19Speaker 1: So performance versus expectations. The Titans have had fluctuating success,
- 49:22Speaker 1: with recent seasons not meeting heightened expectations set by previous
- 49:26Speaker 1: year's playoff appearances, so anytime they play well, they tend
- 49:30Speaker 1: to not play as well the next year draft decision.
- 49:32Speaker 1: Some first round picks have not delivered the anticipated impact,
- 49:36Speaker 1: affecting the team's competitiveness. I would look back when they
- 49:40Speaker 1: traded AJ Brown and they ended up drafting Treylon Burks
- 49:46Speaker 1: from Arkansas, and he's been hurt the whole time. Yeah,
- 49:48Speaker 1: like they lost a guy. I mean, they got a
- 49:50Speaker 1: pick and they use that to draft somebody.
- 49:52Speaker 4: In an AJ Brown clone workout roster talent.
- 49:55Speaker 1: They've had players like Derrick Henry, but other areas like
- 49:58Speaker 1: offensive line have kept Henry from flourishing. And now he
- 50:01Speaker 1: doesn't play with them, and he goes to the freaking
- 50:03Speaker 1: Ravens and crushes great looks like he's twenty five years
- 50:05Speaker 1: old and fan morale. The Nashville fan base is dedicated,
- 50:09Speaker 1: but his face disappointment due to unmet expectations and playoff shortcomings.
- 50:12Speaker 4: I bought tickets for five bucks. Man, Oh that's a pop.
- 50:17Speaker 6: That's bad.
- 50:18Speaker 1: And sometimes there will be games I drive by the
- 50:20Speaker 1: stadium here game during game day. Hey yeah, and it's cold.
- 50:23Speaker 1: I'm like, who would ever go sit in that terrible team.
- 50:26Speaker 6: I thought. Once I got on.
- 50:32Speaker 1: The NFL Network show and a good Morning Football, Good
- 50:37Speaker 1: Morning Football. Yes, I was thinking, money want a quarterback,
- 50:39Speaker 1: Good Morning Football, and I was talking about the Titans
- 50:41Speaker 1: and how bad they were, and I was just going on.
- 50:43Speaker 1: I was just doing a bit, and I don't know
- 50:47Speaker 1: if it ever got back to them, but if it did,
- 50:48Speaker 1: we ain't gonna be welcoming over there anymore, because yeah,
- 50:52Speaker 1: I was just riffing. Yeah. Do you see Zach Mettenberger,
- 50:55Speaker 1: the old quarterback for the Titans, is now coaching. I
- 50:58Speaker 1: believe Father Ryan high.
- 51:00Speaker 4: School one school, but he's so in.
- 51:02Speaker 1: This picture where they announce him, and you may look
- 51:04Speaker 1: at this up, Mike, it's one of those Christian private schools.
- 51:07Speaker 1: He's covered in tattoos on his arms and everybody's just
- 51:10Speaker 1: going to talent.
- 51:10Speaker 6: I'm like, this is not Christian. This is not Christian's
- 51:12Speaker 6: got tattooed.
- 51:13Speaker 4: If it's Father Ryan, it's a Catholic school.
- 51:14Speaker 1: I think unbelievable that people were looking at his tattoos
- 51:17Speaker 1: and going that does not represent what year are we in?
- 51:19Speaker 4: I know it's Father Ryan high School. Crazy.
- 51:22Speaker 6: I felt bad for him.
- 51:24Speaker 1: You got it, NFL quarterback coming to coach, and you've
- 51:26Speaker 1: got these parents going, he can't coach our Christian school.
- 51:28Speaker 6: Look at his tattoos.
- 51:29Speaker 4: That's ridiculous.
- 51:29Speaker 6: Is this nineteen twenty two? Is this sailor on leave
- 51:33Speaker 6: getting tattoos out the port?
- 51:34Speaker 7: It sounds like it.
- 51:35Speaker 1: Crazy now number four of the commanders, but they are
- 51:40Speaker 1: on the way up. The team has experienced limited postseason
- 51:43Speaker 1: success in recent decades, but generally underperforming.
- 51:47Speaker 4: And they should be happy from last year.
- 51:49Speaker 1: Dan Snyder sucked as an owner. That's what this is.
- 51:52Speaker 1: That's just Dan Snyder sucking. They have anue owner now,
- 51:54Speaker 1: so that's why you're actually seeing the team play well.
- 51:57Speaker 6: New leadership. Next up the Jet to three.
- 52:01Speaker 4: All right, Casey, it's all right. I had a feeling a.
- 52:04Speaker 1: Lot of draft inconsistency and struggles with early round picks.
- 52:12Speaker 7: Yeah, we have drafted a lot of the defensive players
- 52:16Speaker 7: that have not panned out. I remember d Milliner, the
- 52:18Speaker 7: cornerback from Alabama, was supposed to be a stud. He
- 52:20Speaker 7: was didn't turn out to be much. Yeah, Jamal Adams.
- 52:24Speaker 6: Are crying out too. Yeah, it's Casey and I just
- 52:27Speaker 6: crying in his whole segment.
- 52:28Speaker 4: You know, my kids asked me about Mark Sanchez, like franchise. Yeah, yeah,
- 52:34Speaker 4: that's what we believed. They're like, what kind of quarterback
- 52:37Speaker 4: was he? And I'm like, I don't, I don't know.
- 52:39Speaker 4: I don't really remember ended the ball.
- 52:41Speaker 1: A lot, but I would say he's one of the
- 52:43Speaker 1: quarterbacks that probably never had the ability to show how
- 52:46Speaker 1: good of a quarterback he was because the people around
- 52:48Speaker 1: him weren't good. Yeah, if you get drafted into a
- 52:52Speaker 1: you know, a bad organization, it almost doesn't matter because
- 52:56Speaker 1: you see that with guys like you know, Bryce Young,
- 52:58Speaker 1: Baker Mayfield, Sam Darnold, where they go in and they
- 53:01Speaker 1: suck and you're like, well they're losers. But then they
- 53:04Speaker 1: go somewhere else, not Bryce Young, yet new coach came in,
- 53:06Speaker 1: but they go somewhere else and they play pretty good
- 53:09Speaker 1: to really good, and you're going, man, it's all about
- 53:12Speaker 1: where you land. Like you have to have the skills,
- 53:14Speaker 1: but it's all about where you land. And Sanchez took
- 53:16Speaker 1: them to the AFC two years.
- 53:18Speaker 4: In a row.
- 53:18Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, in the in the beginning of his career.
- 53:20Speaker 7: But then when we had to actually rely on him
- 53:22Speaker 7: to do something, you couldn't do it, And then we
- 53:23Speaker 7: had t Bow. I don't know if you guys remember
- 53:25Speaker 7: we had like the t Bow Sanchez dual connection.
- 53:27Speaker 4: Thing they played at the same time.
- 53:29Speaker 7: Yeah, Rex Ryan picked up t Bow after Denver. I
- 53:32Speaker 7: can't recall a year, but yeah, we've we've done a
- 53:34Speaker 7: lot of experiments blocking that out failures.
- 53:36Speaker 4: I can't recall blocked the trauma trauma, and.
- 53:40Speaker 6: Cleveland's at one. Who thinks of two? What's the one
- 53:41Speaker 6: football team I left out that? Do you think.
- 53:45Speaker 4: Jacksonville?
- 53:46Speaker 6: Jacksonville's got to be tough, not top five, probably not
- 53:50Speaker 6: been around long enough overall, Like you don't have a
- 53:53Speaker 6: lot of grandparents that were Jaguar fans that have passed
- 53:55Speaker 6: it down because they didn't exist.
- 53:56Speaker 7: Yeah, yeah, true, Okay.
- 53:58Speaker 6: Chargers mm hmmm. A lot of disappointment, but no, the
- 54:02Speaker 6: team's good now.
- 54:04Speaker 1: Detroit Yeah, oh yeah, we forget how terrible they have
- 54:08Speaker 1: been for decades because of what Dan Campbell's been able
- 54:11Speaker 1: to do. But the Lions have a history of unmet expectations.
- 54:15Speaker 1: They went oh sixteen in two thousand and eight. They've
- 54:17Speaker 1: had high draft picks. Man, they drafted wide receivers like
- 54:19Speaker 1: every year for a while. Yeah, it was just one
- 54:22Speaker 1: after the other Calvin Johnson was awesome, Matthew Stafford was good,
- 54:24Speaker 1: but they'd never had real success decades without a Super
- 54:27Speaker 1: Bowl appearance. And shout out line fans for remaining a
- 54:31Speaker 1: Lion fan because that had been tough.
- 54:35Speaker 6: Oh and sixteen, that's brutal man. Yeah, I remember that season.
- 54:39Speaker 7: Orlowski he didn't he get the safety going in the end,
- 54:41Speaker 7: going backwards.
- 54:42Speaker 1: Yeah, and it's like didn't even though he ran out,
- 54:44Speaker 1: like ran all the way back and they came back in.
- 54:46Speaker 4: Did you see her Lobsky at the Super Bowl walking
- 54:49Speaker 4: around Radio Road. He's he's really tall, like really tall.
- 54:54Speaker 4: You could see him towering over people. I'm like, wow,
- 54:57Speaker 4: I had no idea is that tall.
- 54:58Speaker 6: Orlovski he was with the Colts when he did that,
- 54:59Speaker 6: right he was.
- 55:00Speaker 4: I think it was the Lions.
- 55:01Speaker 6: I think that maybe you're maybe you're right.
- 55:05Speaker 1: All that bad yeah, all that bad play all blends together.
- 55:08Speaker 1: I did not see Orlowski. But those guys are big.
- 55:10Speaker 1: It's like even Matt Castle, he's like six four. I know,
- 55:13Speaker 1: you don't even think of a guy being that big
- 55:14Speaker 1: because he just looks average on screen, and they're they're giants. Okay,
- 55:19Speaker 1: anybody raid any teams that are terrible that you feel
- 55:21Speaker 1: bad for their fans.
- 55:22Speaker 2: Hm.
- 55:23Speaker 6: I just feel like I would hate to live in Wisconsin.
- 55:25Speaker 6: So now we're going at the whole state. Yeah, we're
- 55:27Speaker 6: just no reason, no reason.
- 55:28Speaker 4: What's like pretty good?
- 55:31Speaker 6: Why would you hate Wisconsin? To be honest, I can't
- 55:34Speaker 6: say that. I've never even been there, you know.
- 55:35Speaker 1: I just imagine it's super flat, a lot of corn cold.
- 55:40Speaker 4: It's not flat, really, it's a little hilly, especially when
- 55:44Speaker 4: you get out in that milk country.
- 55:45Speaker 1: Yeah, have no response. I don't remember being flat or hilly.
- 55:47Speaker 1: I know the people are super nice. There's a lot
- 55:49Speaker 1: of cheese, and it's way cold, so anywhere cold. Not
- 55:52Speaker 1: a fan of as far as like living there. But
- 55:54Speaker 1: I feel like that was not very kind of you
- 55:56Speaker 1: to pick on Wisconsin for no reason.
- 55:58Speaker 4: It just that's what came to I picked on Oakland,
- 56:01Speaker 4: so I apologize too. That's my bat.
- 56:02Speaker 6: You've been to Oakland, haven't you?
- 56:03Speaker 4: No? I never been.
- 56:05Speaker 6: No, I've been Oakland.
- 56:05Speaker 4: Been in San Francisco.
- 56:06Speaker 6: Hey, I've been Oakland.
- 56:07Speaker 4: What's the lot over there?
- 56:08Speaker 6: You know I'm a favorite, I'll be honest with you,
- 56:11Speaker 6: not a favorite at all. Good luck everybody, we'll be
- 56:15Speaker 6: back before the game start. But good luck everybody.
- 56:17Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 56:17Speaker 1: I guess if you're betting all on the playing games,
- 56:19Speaker 1: good luck, then don't. Don't put all your money in
- 56:22Speaker 1: the playing games, you know the first four? Yeah, all right,
- 56:26Speaker 1: thank you guys, Eddie bulderwhistle.
- 56:27Speaker 6: We're out here.
- 56:28Speaker 4: Here we go, it's coming.
- 56:31Speaker 6: Thank you guys. See later on.
