  Speaker 1: all about the sacrifice that the Lord made, the Lord did.

  Speaker 1: His power, His love, His grace, His mercy, amen, and

  Speaker 1: His eternal life. So the Bible says in Hebrews 10.10,

  Speaker 1: by that will, so we have to know what the

  Speaker 1: will of God is, right? What are we talking about here?

  Speaker 1: sacrifice for us. And the theme keeps on going through

  Speaker 1: the book of Hebrews and God keeps on showing me

  Speaker 1: and picking up from there. Once for all, he's shining

  Speaker 1: that light upon his once for all sacrifice. He's reminding
• 5:53
  Speaker 1: us that it was because of the Lord Jesus' sacrifice
• 5:57
  Speaker 1: that we are alive today, that we are born again,

  Speaker 1: that we are delivered, that we are living in victory.

  Speaker 1: By that will, we have been sanctified, set apart for

  Speaker 1: God through the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ

  Speaker 1: once for all. So blessed. so much power, so much glory, right?

  Speaker 1: we have because what Jesus gave, he gave his very

  Speaker 1: of God. We make mistakes, but we repent from those mistakes.

  Speaker 1: We ask God to forgive us, help us not to

  Speaker 1: make the same mistakes over and over again. And it's

  Speaker 1: because of his spirit that we could do that. The

  Speaker 1: truth is, is that our salvation, my salvation and your

  Speaker 1: salvation and our sanctification, which means being set apart for
• 7:37
  Speaker 1: God's use are made possible through only through the sacrifice

  Speaker 1: of the Lord Jesus Christ. The theme of the book
• 7:45
  Speaker 1: of Hebrews keeps on pinpointing that, that Jesus is the source.

  Speaker 1: He's the sacrifice. He's the reason why we believe. He's
• 7:53
  Speaker 1: the reason why we're alive. He's the resurrected one. The

  Speaker 1: book of Hebrews keeps on shining that light on Jesus Christ, right?

  Speaker 1: So Hebrews 10, 10 reminds us that Jesus offered his body,

  Speaker 1: as the perfect sacrifice for our sins. The Bible says

  Speaker 1: that even while we were haters of God, even while

  Speaker 1: we were still sinners, Jesus Christ still died for us. Amen.

  Speaker 1: And he demonstrates his own love. He demonstrated his own

  Speaker 1: love by sacrificing himself for sinners. That's the next level

  Speaker 1: to me. That's love. That's grace. And that's mercy. That's God.

  Speaker 1: Only God could do that. Amen. No regular human being,

  Speaker 1: no guru, no religious leader can make this claim that

  Speaker 1: he died for all humanity or that she died for

  Speaker 1: all because there's a lot of gurus that are women too. Right. Jesus.

  Speaker 1: the perfect sacrifice for our sins. Right. It's unlike the

  Speaker 1: repeated sacrifices under the old covenant with the animals, the goats,

  Speaker 1: the calves, you know, all of the bloodshed of the animals.

  Speaker 1: It's unlike that. The Lord's sacrifice was completed once for all.

  Speaker 1: So he doesn't keep on crucifying himself on the cross.

  Speaker 1: People like to say, oh man, every time you sin,

  Speaker 1: you're putting Jesus back on the cross. Well, there's a

  Speaker 1: scripture that alludes to that, but it's a, it's a,

  Speaker 1: It's a word picture, amen, in the original language. Jesus

  Speaker 1: is not going back on a cross every time I sin.

  Speaker 1: His work on the cross was more than enough. The

  Speaker 1: Bible says his grace is sufficient. He's more than enough

  Speaker 1: to provide the way for us to be made holy

  Speaker 1: and and brought into a right relationship, a correct relationship

  Speaker 1: with the Father. Only through Jesus Christ can we be
• 10:25
  Speaker 1: made right with the Father. Jesus said He is the way,
• 10:28
  Speaker 1: the truth, and the life. No one can get to
• 10:32
  Speaker 1: the Father without Him. It has to be through the
• 10:36
  Speaker 1: Lord Jesus Christ. And a lot of religions don't like

  Speaker 1: that statement, but Jesus made that statement so they don't

  Speaker 1: have a problem with Christians or Christianity, they really have

  Speaker 1: a problem with what Jesus himself said. Amen? And that's

  Speaker 1: between them and the Lord. I'm only a repeater of

  Speaker 1: what the word says. And whatever the word says, I

  Speaker 1: believe and I apply in my life. It changes my

  Speaker 1: way of thinking. It changes how I speak. It changed

  Speaker 1: and transformed my heart. And it does the same for

  Speaker 1: you too. Trust in the living, holy, righteous, loving God

  Speaker 1: and see the transformation happen in your life. You'll be encouraged.

  Speaker 1: You'll be transformed, right? You'll be more focused. Your faith

  Speaker 1: will grow, amen, and you'll know your purpose. That's what

  Speaker 1: we try to do these morning devos. One morning at

  Speaker 1: a time, we are getting closer. We're getting, we're close,
• 11:26
  Speaker 1: we're clean, we're called, and we're chosen, amen? That's a
• 11:30
  Speaker 1: description of a believer in a nutshell. So to be sanctified,

  Speaker 1: like I said earlier, means you to be set apart
• 11:40
  Speaker 1: for God, for his kingdom use, for his purpose, for
• 11:43
  Speaker 1: his plan, for us to be witnesses, for us to
• 11:46
  Speaker 1: be the conduit, the messenger to the hope and glory
• 11:51
  Speaker 1: of God. Amen. That's what sanctify means. And it's through Jesus, right?

  Speaker 1: We are no longer defined by our past failures, but

  Speaker 1: it's through Jesus that we are reminded of our victory

  Speaker 1: in him and what he did in his sacrifice. Our shame,

  Speaker 1: our guilt, our past, our sinful habits, those things really

  Speaker 1: shut down and they get smaller and smaller and smaller

  Speaker 1: when we get closer and closer and closer to the
• 12:19
  Speaker 1: glory of God. Holy Spirit lives in every single one
• 12:23
  Speaker 1: of His children. Therefore, the sinful habits will start to dissipate.

  Speaker 1: The darkness, we're not walking in that no more. We
• 12:31
  Speaker 1: have the light of Christ shining through us. Our vocabulary

  Speaker 1: will change. Now, this is This is how we can tell.

  Speaker 1: The Bible says you will know them by their fruit.

  Speaker 1: This is how you can tell who's a real believer

  Speaker 1: and who's not a real believer. The fruit of their life.

  Speaker 1: Still drinking, smoking, acting crazy in the streets? And you're

  Speaker 1: saved 20 years, right? People are noticing that. Now, I know,

  Speaker 1: I hear people saying, well, we can't judge those people. No,

  Speaker 1: the Bible says that judgment comes first to the house

  Speaker 1: of the Lord. So if you're saying you're a believer

  Speaker 1: in Christ, amen, you will be confronted, held accountable, just

  Speaker 1: like I'm held accountable. Amen. If I start acting crazy,

  Speaker 1: you can hold me accountable. What is this thing about, oh,

  Speaker 1: we can't point fingers, you know, we can't judge. And

  Speaker 1: what is this thing about being born again and still
• 13:26
  Speaker 1: having a wicked, sinful heart of deception? We have a

  Speaker 1: new heart. We have a new mind according to the scriptures.

  Speaker 1: So I'm just going to keep where the scriptures directs me.

  Speaker 1: I'm going to go in that direction. And all the

  Speaker 1: hearsay and all the, you know, wordplay that people want

  Speaker 1: to use while they're preaching, they could take care of

  Speaker 1: that with the Lord themselves. But we have a new heart.

  Speaker 1: So we could tell who's who and what's what, not
• 13:51
  Speaker 1: only by people's behavior, because this is not about behavioral management.

  Speaker 1: This is about the fruit of our lives. Amen. Amen.

  Speaker 1: You could be saved one day and God will deliver

  Speaker 1: you from all swearing, cursing, and all that stuff. You

  Speaker 1: could be saved 10 years and God is still working

  Speaker 1: in that area or you're allowing God just a little

  Speaker 1: bit to work in that area. So it's a relational thing.

  Speaker 1: This is not about a religious activity. This is not

  Speaker 1: about how many times we pray. This is not how

  Speaker 1: many times we do morning devotions. It's about our relationship

  Speaker 1: with the Lord Jesus Christ. Once you taste and see

  Speaker 1: the goodness of God, all those bad things and sinful
• 14:28
  Speaker 1: habits and the swearing and the cursing, the drinking, the smoking,
• 14:31
  Speaker 1: all that stuff will start getting really, really corny. Amen?

  Speaker 1: Compared to the grace and mercy of God and the
• 14:38
  Speaker 1: greatness of his life that he gives us, amen, to
• 14:41
  Speaker 1: live day by day. So it's like a soul check. Amen?

  Speaker 1: I got to check myself daily too. Amen? Because the

  Speaker 1: world is always throwing stuff at us daily, nonstop, right? Advertisements, billboards,

  Speaker 1: social media, music, you name it. They're using every single

  Speaker 1: device they can use, literally, to try to distract us
• 15:07

  Speaker 1: it's exciting to me to be a born again believer

  Speaker 1: because now I have hope in a living, holy, righteous,

  Speaker 1: loving God. I don't have to worship idols. I don't

  Speaker 1: have to do rituals and ceremonies. I don't have to
• 15:52
  Speaker 1: make sure I practice religious activities all the time. I
• 15:55
  Speaker 1: don't have to prove anything to anybody. I don't have
• 15:58
  Speaker 1: to X, Y, Z. You fill in the blanks because

  Speaker 1: you don't have to do those things either. What we
• 16:03
  Speaker 1: should be doing is growing our faith through our relationship,
• 16:07
  Speaker 1: through the word of God, through fellowship with other believers. Amen.

  Speaker 1: Through the congregation of the church and fill ourselves continuously
• 16:14
  Speaker 1: with the word of God. And the more you fill
• 16:17
  Speaker 1: yourself with the word of God, the more of your
• 16:19
  Speaker 1: heart will be filled with his word. And then your
• 16:21
  Speaker 1: mouth will speak accordingly. Amen. So we could tell and
• 16:26
  Speaker 1: I could tell where I'm at in my faith by
• 16:28
  Speaker 1: what I say, right? Because out of the abundance of
• 16:32
  Speaker 1: the heart, the mouth, what? The mouth will speak. The
• 16:36
  Speaker 1: will of God is for us to be sanctified through
• 16:39
  Speaker 1: his sacrifice. Because of what Jesus did, we are able
• 16:43
  Speaker 1: to be useful to the kingdom of God, right? So sanctified,
• 16:52
  Speaker 1: we're delivered. We are chosen. We're called. We're clean. We're chosen.

  Speaker 1: All of that. So we are now identifying ourselves with Christ.

  Speaker 1: We are new in him. Amen. To live in a
• 17:05
  Speaker 1: way that will honor him. Will honor the one who
• 17:09
  Speaker 1: gave us his life for us. He gave his life

  Speaker 1: for us to live. The ultimate sacrifice once for all.

  Speaker 1: So we know that we can't earn this. And there's
• 17:20
  Speaker 1: people in religious, you know, groups that are trying to
• 17:23
  Speaker 1: earn their way to heaven. They're trying to weigh out
• 17:26
  Speaker 1: the good deeds and the bad deeds, and that's not
• 17:28
  Speaker 1: going to work. How many good deeds must a person
• 17:31
  Speaker 1: do to gain favor with the Lord? And how many
• 17:36
  Speaker 1: bad things have to be done for us to lose
• 17:39
  Speaker 1: favor with the Lord? See how that's a weird human-developed
• 17:46
  Speaker 1: or human-invented game that we shouldn't be playing? the good
• 17:50
  Speaker 1: weighs out the bad and all that stuff. Nah, that's
• 17:52
  Speaker 1: not the word of God, right? Can't earn what Jesus
• 17:57
  Speaker 1: has already accomplished through his life, his sacrifice. Amen. His resurrection. Instead,

  Speaker 1: we could respond to his grace and be thankful, have gratitude, right?

  Speaker 1: Be thankful, be obedient. Obedience is not a bad word.

  Speaker 1: Ladies and gentlemen, you must obey. Well, We're going to

  Speaker 1: want to obey the word of God. Amen. And then

  Speaker 1: because we're obeying the word of God, it becomes easier
• 18:25
  Speaker 1: for us to serve him through people. And it's easier
• 18:29
  Speaker 1: to serve the leaders of the church. Amen. That God
• 18:32
  Speaker 1: has appointed. We're not forced to obey. Nobody's forced to
• 18:35
  Speaker 1: obey anybody, including myself, including you. We obey because God
• 18:40
  Speaker 1: is good. And because God is good, we are obedient
• 18:43
  Speaker 1: to his word. And it's easier for us to serve
• 18:46
  Speaker 1: leaders of the church that way. Once the leaders of
• 18:49
  Speaker 1: the church start forcing us to try to obey, you
• 18:51
  Speaker 1: better obey, you better obey, you know, they're losing track
• 18:54
  Speaker 1: and focus of who they're trying to serve as well.
• 18:57

  Speaker 1: that they're going to make all kinds of ways to

  Speaker 1: deny his existence. That's between them and God, really, ultimately.

  Speaker 1: They're not really rejecting our, you know, what we're saying.

  Speaker 1: They're rejecting what God has said and what God has

  Speaker 1: done through the Lord Jesus Christ. And it's sad, but

  Speaker 1: that's where we're at. The people out there are hurt.

  Speaker 1: The church hurt. They're hurt by life. They have mental issues.

  Speaker 1: They're disgusted with God's people for whatever reason. Jealousy, envy, strife, gossip, slander.

  Speaker 1: those things for whatever reason. And my hope and my

  Speaker 1: prayer is that they turn their lives, they repent from

  Speaker 1: Someone right now needs to know that Jesus' sacrifice was complete.

  Speaker 1: Not incomplete, but complete. His work is more than enough.
