- 8:50Speaker 9: No Fella, we are right back Nobody but nobody.
- 8:57Speaker 2: Arra by the.
- 9:39Speaker 10: And you know, we often talk about this.
- 11:14Speaker 3: When it comes to film, and I know we do
- 11:17Speaker 3: this in Hollywood a lot, and maybe to a certain
- 11:20Speaker 3: extent in Bollywood as well.
- 11:24Speaker 11: But when you think about that classic leading man or
- 11:28Speaker 11: the classic leading lady in cinema and how that institution
- 11:32Speaker 11: has kind of dissipated over the years, you can draw
- 11:35Speaker 11: that line segment out to the artist and to the
- 11:38Speaker 11: singer as well.
- 11:39Speaker 3: And in Bollywood, the relationship between the singer and Bollywood
- 11:44Speaker 3: film is a tight. One's saying right there the song
- 11:48Speaker 3: called Gaida. Now let's bring in doctor roy to the show.
- 11:51Speaker 3: What's up Doctor Roy?

- 12:43Speaker 12: devotional energy has captivated the Internet, proving once again how
- 12:47Speaker 12: music can transcend borders and genres. That's it for today's
- 12:51Speaker 12: dam avenue until next time.
- 12:53Speaker 3: Thank you so much, doctor Roy. Always a pleasure to
- 12:56Speaker 3: hear from you and listen. I don't mean to make

- 16:36Speaker 3: be across this planet today. Sing The song is called
- 16:40Speaker 3: Sunhari Kidney and of course, reflecting on Jit Singh's career
- 16:46Speaker 3: so far, he dropped this big bombshell on everybody out
- 16:50Speaker 3: there that he has now retired from Bollywood, only obligating
- 16:57Speaker 3: himself to any of the existing agreement that he has.
- 17:00Speaker 3: So we'll see what he does. Now. Let's bring a

- 20:58Speaker 16: our pie. Yeah, yo, peez away again here do them
- 21:07Speaker 16: I'm away again.
- 21:15Speaker 3: Love that track right there, one of my favorites of
- 21:17Speaker 3: the week, and got it here on the Bridge playlist
- 21:20Speaker 3: for you on a Tuesday morning, And folks, let's pull
- 21:23Speaker 3: in our own nah into the episode. Nejlvias is one
- 21:28Speaker 3: of the programmers over the Indian Film Festival that's happening
- 21:31Speaker 3: on the twenty third through the twenty sixth right here
- 21:33Speaker 3: in Los Angeles. How are you now?
- 21:36Speaker 9: I'm good?
- 21:37Speaker 4: Thank you so much for having me. I'm Tommy.
- 21:39Speaker 3: It's great pleasure.
- 21:40Speaker 21: To have you on.
- 21:41Speaker 3: We're excited about this festival and listen, every year these
- 21:45Speaker 3: films take another step forward and the programming just expands
- 21:50Speaker 3: so much more. Tell us about what you guys have
- 21:52Speaker 3: in store for this magical week.
- 21:55Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm really excited to be talking about this because
- 21:58Speaker 4: we have statutach program at here. We have eighteen features
- 22:02Speaker 4: and we have eighteen short pills, So I'm going to
- 22:05Speaker 4: go yeah, Yeah, I'm very excited to be talking about
- 22:08Speaker 4: this because we have a really rich program at a
- 22:10Speaker 4: flood this year. We have eight features in eighteen shots.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Wow.
- 22:13Speaker 4: So it really stands a wide range of storytelling from
- 22:17Speaker 4: South Asia and a test for us around the world.
- 22:20Speaker 4: And what's exciting is that these films engage with questions
- 22:23Speaker 4: around migrations, belonging, family, friendship, gender, girlhood. So there's really
- 22:29Speaker 4: something for everyone in our program this here. And we're
- 22:32Speaker 4: beginning with Breaking the Court by Ben jay Key and Settlana,
- 22:36Speaker 4: which is right, Yeah, that's opening that film, and it's
- 22:41Speaker 4: a deeply personal documentary about Ben's father, Colonel Raiki, who
- 22:46Speaker 4: is a pioneer in the tech world, and this film
- 22:49Speaker 4: is he turns inward then in the film, and it's
- 22:52Speaker 4: a beautiful portrait of the immigrant story and also for
- 22:54Speaker 4: Father and so once like that sort of sets the
- 22:58Speaker 4: ground for a flower. We the Features program, which travels
- 23:02Speaker 4: widely across different regions, styles, cinematic voices, and you really
- 23:08Speaker 4: see a range of films like Lali which is by
- 23:10Speaker 4: from Raskusa from Pakistan, which is fresh from Ballinardo this year.
- 23:15Speaker 4: Then we have some incredibly exciting debuts like Shape of
- 23:18Speaker 4: Momo by Tribani Died from India, San City by mahade
- 23:22Speaker 4: Ha Son from Bangladesh, amongst other debuts, and we were
- 23:26Speaker 4: really moved by this work that's coming from the new
- 23:28Speaker 4: wave of filmmakers and we're very proud to be showcasing
- 23:32Speaker 4: these debuts. And what's something that's another thing that we're
- 23:35Speaker 4: really proud of is we have a very strong female
- 23:38Speaker 4: to maker presences year and that's very important for our
- 23:41Speaker 4: lat Isla. And I also want to highlight some of
- 23:45Speaker 4: our short programs because we have eighteen shots in three
- 23:47Speaker 4: different programs and this is where you really see exciting
- 23:51Speaker 4: work happening from emerging filmmakers who are experimenting with storytelling
- 23:56Speaker 4: in like bold ways, and we have films like ten
- 24:00Speaker 4: by Niharika Niki, which is about the Kinnori community in
- 24:04Speaker 4: Hamacha in India.
- 24:05Speaker 21: Wow.
- 24:06Speaker 4: We have a permanent guest by Sana Jaffrey from Pakistan
- 24:09Speaker 4: and Shishi Telati who's returning with hidden son, who people
- 24:13Speaker 4: might know from Girls Will Be Girls, which say that
- 24:15Speaker 4: it's a couple of years before. Yeah, and she's returning
- 24:19Speaker 4: with an incredible.
- 24:20Speaker 3: Oh that's awesome, good for her.
- 24:23Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 24:23Speaker 3: And we also have a.
- 24:24Speaker 4: Number of California based filmmakers in the lineup, which is
- 24:27Speaker 4: special for us. You're in LA because it becomes a
- 24:30Speaker 4: space not just to discover glocal cinema, but also to
- 24:32Speaker 4: celebrate these local voices.
- 24:35Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 24:35Speaker 4: So I'd really encourage people to buy the festival pass,
- 24:38Speaker 4: come for all the forties, spend time with us, watch
- 24:41Speaker 4: these films, and celebrate the South Asian community, because that's
- 24:44Speaker 4: really what it flies about.
- 24:46Speaker 3: It really is. It's like a you know, I refer
- 24:48Speaker 3: to IFLA as like it feels like an Indian wedding.
- 24:52Speaker 3: It's like a week long you get ready every day,
- 24:54Speaker 3: but you come be a part of this extended family
- 24:57Speaker 3: and you take part in something galvin I and in
- 25:00Speaker 3: this case, it's filmed something that we all love and
- 25:03Speaker 3: what's really really cool about the festival, and I'm hearing
- 25:06Speaker 3: this from you, is I feel like you're breaking a
- 25:09Speaker 3: lot of new people and a lot of new faces
- 25:12Speaker 3: out there and giving them space to really expand and grow,
- 25:15Speaker 3: which is exciting. And I think that's something that the
- 25:18Speaker 3: festival has always been known for, but I think there's
- 25:21Speaker 3: a bit of an emphasis there this year.
- 25:23Speaker 4: Yeah, it was really important for us. And we have
- 25:25Speaker 4: filmmakers who are fresh out of grad schools, some who
- 25:28Speaker 4: are still in grad school, and then they have season filmmakers.
- 25:31Speaker 4: So and I think something that's exciting to me about
- 25:34Speaker 4: programming as a programmer is that filmakers invite us into
- 25:38Speaker 4: their work, and as programmers, we get the privilege to
- 25:41Speaker 4: put these words in front of communication with one another.
- 25:45Speaker 4: And to be able to do that with South Asia
- 25:48Speaker 4: from especially like as a person who's immigrated to the US,
- 25:52Speaker 4: it's so important because this is what really disconnectedness is
- 25:56Speaker 4: what we really need in this moment.
- 25:58Speaker 3: So this show is called the Bridge, and you guys
- 26:01Speaker 3: continue to be the bridge for the film industry and
- 26:04Speaker 3: the film world by doing these things and creating these
- 26:06Speaker 3: spaces so you know, we're all on the same show
- 26:10Speaker 3: together here as we say so. Thank you so much
- 26:12Speaker 3: for joining us today. Now we're looking forward to the
- 26:15Speaker 3: programming at the festival. Everybody please go support Go check
- 26:18Speaker 3: out Indianfilmfestival dot org and go see the wide range
- 26:24Speaker 3: of programming there. Now, thank you so much for joining
- 26:26Speaker 3: us today. Thank you so much.
- 26:28Speaker 4: Sammy.
- 26:28Speaker 3: I'll see you what I see if you're so.
- 26:32Speaker 22: Reve you're here, pitchin your eyes on the seat, your
- 26:42Speaker 22: body from Yeah you plackage we love. Yeah you blackage
- 26:49Speaker 22: for love until it's God. You never get to know,
- 26:55Speaker 22: you never get to know for what you are. I'm
- 26:59Speaker 22: snooking to side. Please face the fence. Will your lips
- 27:04Speaker 22: some mine kind of legs on the.
- 27:06Speaker 2: Pilcase sidwise lead or up with your love lane next to.
- 27:12Speaker 23: My almost looking at you sidwise sidewise silently amos looking

- 29:16Speaker 3: Our next guest is a Dilly born Bunjabi artist who
- 29:19Speaker 3: grew up in a musical household. His father was a
- 29:22Speaker 3: tabla player and found his voice performing a dagahs steeped
- 29:26Speaker 3: in Sufi tradition. Inspired by the consop tradition, he's evolved
- 29:31Speaker 3: into a modern solo artist, blending Sufi, soul, pop and
- 29:35Speaker 3: hip hop. His brand new track his set Drop in
- 29:38Speaker 3: April fifteenth, is a heartbreak anthem off of his conceptual
- 29:42Speaker 3: EP Mahal, a project exploring the emotional atmospheres of everyday life.
- 29:47Speaker 3: Welcome Ikom to the show.
- 29:48Speaker 10: How are you?
- 29:49Speaker 3: Ickham? Really really good to have you on the air.
- 29:54Speaker 3: And I was gonna ask you. I read about you
- 29:58Speaker 3: and then my first question in my mind mind was
- 30:01Speaker 3: itam you grew up with a father who's a tabla
- 30:03Speaker 3: player who seemed to be really deep in Sufi music tradition.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Tell me what that was like and how has that
- 30:11Speaker 3: influenced your work now? So in terence for.
- 30:19Speaker 10: It is.
- 30:23Speaker 9: Starting to morning, maybe evening, maybe night maybe to.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Music. That's wow, beautiful story, beautiful story. Your your EP
- 30:43Speaker 3: is called Mahall you know, which means for everybody out
- 30:46Speaker 3: there that doesn't know, it means atmosphere. It's like a
- 30:48Speaker 3: it's like a vibe, right, but you know the idea?
- 30:52Speaker 3: What made you name your album hall? And tell us
- 30:57Speaker 3: about the emotional environment that you're creating with this album
- 31:02Speaker 3: this EP? Yes that.
- 31:10Speaker 9: Buddy, sorry pop bo E p A.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Your broken So.
- 31:23Speaker 4: Buddy released.
- 31:28Speaker 2: The song.
- 31:32Speaker 3: Very personal and it seems like it's it's about betrayal,
- 31:37Speaker 3: you know, and the good old Hindi subject of vivifi. Right,
- 31:41Speaker 3: And I think that from your perspective, you do an
- 31:45Speaker 3: amazing job of playing the character in the song. Is
- 31:50Speaker 3: this a personal story or was this something that you
- 31:53Speaker 3: saw out there? Tell me the inspiration?
- 31:58Speaker 9: That's that personal story?
- 31:59Speaker 25: With a thirty Both Bibaya.
- 32:14Speaker 26: And the lyrics Malika Studio Game Banya both each other
- 32:17Speaker 26: in the song one Yeah, Yeah, yeah.
- 32:24Speaker 3: You know what I really liked about you learning about
- 32:27Speaker 3: you is that you're you know, I'm I'm by the way,
- 32:30Speaker 3: I'm a really big fan of Kavali music. I'm a
- 32:32Speaker 3: big fan of you know I. I really love that
- 32:37Speaker 3: story that you came from that kind of a background
- 32:40Speaker 3: and you were singing, you know, back up vocalist in
- 32:43Speaker 3: in in sufi bands. Now you're now you're your own
- 32:47Speaker 3: solo pop star. You know, it's it's a really interesting story.
- 32:51Speaker 3: When did you know in your life that when you
- 32:54Speaker 3: were singing that one day you're going to be doing
- 32:57Speaker 3: something inspired by this but maybe in a different action.
- 33:03Speaker 25: Yes, both in.
- 33:06Speaker 3: Starting both and.
- 33:14Speaker 21: Personally favored.

- 36:22Speaker 2: I don't want to go go go. I feel so
- 36:26Speaker 2: low go lo this man.
- 36:33Speaker 3: I know all of the.
- 36:34Speaker 27: Figure shr visiting a guy Joe he pa ma se
- 36:39Speaker 27: but come ah the shop on the sham Paja.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Yeah, folks. I hope you're enjoying the day out there,
- 36:56Speaker 3: and let's pull in Jaya to this party. How are you, Jaya?
- 37:00Speaker 2: I'm well, I am well, you know, yeah in there.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Well listen, can I tell everybody that it's your twenty
- 37:06Speaker 3: first birthday this week? And can we all celebrate right
- 37:09Speaker 3: now and wish you a big happy birthday from the bridge?
- 37:11Speaker 3: Thank you there.
- 37:13Speaker 20: I'm excited to have my first drink. Yeah.
- 37:16Speaker 3: Is it gonna be a strawberry margarita? What's it going
- 37:18Speaker 3: to be?
- 37:19Speaker 20: It's gonna be a long Island ice take.
- 37:23Speaker 4: No, I'm just.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Get right to it, you know, skip the stages. Nope. Well,
- 37:35Speaker 3: I don't know. There's been two sellout shows from Kanye
- 37:39Speaker 3: West over here j since we spoke, and then he
- 37:42Speaker 3: believe it, Yeah, has released his album and you know,
- 37:45Speaker 3: the machine carries on. But I feel like he's he
- 37:49Speaker 3: is not canceled. Yeah, he's not canceled.
- 37:53Speaker 20: She is not canceled. I mean I know someone that
- 37:56Speaker 20: went to the Sofi Stadium for his show. I can't
- 37:59Speaker 20: believe it. But yeah, So after all the backlash from
- 38:04Speaker 20: the sponsors pulling out of the Wireless Festival in the UK,
- 38:09Speaker 20: Kanye has kind of been oscillating between defiance and damage control.
- 38:14Speaker 20: You know, he like initially brushed off the controversial rhetoric
- 38:18Speaker 20: as like a social experiment. But then you know, the
- 38:22Speaker 20: UK government was moving to ban him entirely basically from
- 38:26Speaker 20: entering the country. He like shifted and now he issued
- 38:31Speaker 20: a public statement via the Wall Street Journal and festival
- 38:36Speaker 20: organizers basically attributing his actions to a manic episode and
- 38:41Speaker 20: expressing a desire to meet with the Jewish community to
- 38:44Speaker 20: listen and show change through action. But yeah, I mean
- 38:49Speaker 20: like he had that. Despite all of that, he still
- 38:53Speaker 20: sold out the Zofite Stadium. Yeah, and I guess like
- 38:58Speaker 20: during the show, he spent more time stopping the music
- 39:02Speaker 20: to complain about corny lightings than addressing like anything going
- 39:05Speaker 20: on in the headline. So he's not really that concerned
- 39:07Speaker 20: about it.
- 39:10Speaker 3: We talked about this in soundcheck. That's not what the rights.
- 39:13Speaker 3: That was great. The show is awesome, yes, And then
- 39:17Speaker 3: you know, and then there's it's quite a quite a stage.
- 39:20Speaker 3: And he was supposed to perform in India, and of
- 39:22Speaker 3: course the India tour date was supposed to be the
- 39:25Speaker 3: first of these shows, and that got canceled. Of course,
- 39:29Speaker 3: because of the war. And I believe that that show
- 39:31Speaker 3: has been moved to like May now, so we're really
- 39:33Speaker 3: interested to see how that concert goes in India. But well,
- 39:37Speaker 3: Bunjabi people, whenever we make the news, it's always a
- 39:41Speaker 3: good thing usually. But then you have a just mean
- 39:45Speaker 3: Sanga that comes along.
- 39:46Speaker 20: And yeah, both of you who don't know her, she
- 39:52Speaker 20: is Aketmine queen yep, and she is the reason that
- 39:59Speaker 20: Matthew Perry died. There was a two year investigation and
- 40:04Speaker 20: she was recently. Last Wednesday, she was sentenced to fifteen
- 40:08Speaker 20: years in prison. Her lawyers argued for a lighter sentence
- 40:13Speaker 20: due to a lack of prior record, but Judge Sherlyn
- 40:16Speaker 20: Peace Garnett wasn't having it. She pointed out that Shanga's
- 40:22Speaker 20: high volume operation and the fact that she continued selling
- 40:25Speaker 20: drugs even after her supply contributed to a twenty nineteen
- 40:29Speaker 20: deaths were reason enough to give her the heavy sentence.
- 40:35Speaker 20: And I guess she admitted to selling fifty one bials
- 40:38Speaker 20: of ketamine that basically led to Perry's final overdose. And
- 40:44Speaker 20: she's facing more time right now than all of her
- 40:48Speaker 20: four co defendants combined. Wow, So it's a massive win
- 40:53Speaker 20: for federal prosecutors who are looking to set the president
- 40:57Speaker 20: precedent for Hollywood's underground right pipeline. Yeah, so it's sort
- 41:03Speaker 20: of it's a big deal. And also it does not
- 41:05Speaker 20: look good for US Indian people.
- 41:07Speaker 3: But that's okay, that was not a good look, you know,
- 41:12Speaker 3: good luck. No, but listen, that's I'm glad they got
- 41:16Speaker 3: to the bottom of it. And for what it's worth,
- 41:19Speaker 3: you've got somebody that appears to be a very big
- 41:21Speaker 3: player in the drug scene here in La.
- 41:24Speaker 9: Off the street.
- 41:25Speaker 3: So that's good, you know. So hopefully yes some stuff
- 41:28Speaker 3: and hopefully save some lives, you know, right, listen, Yeah,
- 41:31Speaker 3: I have a great birthday.
- 41:33Speaker 20: Thank you, dammy, thank you.
- 41:36Speaker 3: Happy birthday from everybody at the bridge here and have
- 41:40Speaker 3: fun with that strawberry margarita.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Long Island.
- 41:44Speaker 16: I thank you, see you jah.
- 41:48Speaker 3: We'll see you next week, sir, see you next week.
- 41:51Speaker 3: Here's the next track for you, guys, can put you
- 42:03Speaker 3: to a top.
- 42:04Speaker 28: For nahr the Merakay, come on, mars.
- 42:15Speaker 1: Your forms, how good.
- 42:19Speaker 3: Your h's duty?
- 42:21Speaker 9: Then the other side killer have you pe me?
- 42:24Speaker 2: The red.
- 42:27Speaker 28: Wells went up with them as take.
- 42:31Speaker 3: Hold the Genisa not your t now.
- 42:34Speaker 18: Not your joke, not toklyda comina.
- 42:43Speaker 28: You like your thirty forty bunky the bunk drunken cyber punk.
- 42:53Speaker 3: This cartis, oh, thank you, that's good.
- 42:58Speaker 2: Eficial has gay.
- 43:05Speaker 3: And conferd d manager.
- 43:08Speaker 2: And a vocation jacket.
- 43:16Speaker 3: You yeah, folks. And if you guys were listening in
- 43:23Speaker 3: yesterday then you heard our tribute to the great Asha
- 43:27Speaker 3: Bosle and we had Buffy DA's son Baba la HERI
- 43:32Speaker 3: join us, of course, and had a great conversation, and
- 43:34Speaker 3: I wanted to pull in, of course, the professor of
- 43:37Speaker 3: Indian Cinema here on the bridge Aurora to this conversation. Nushka,
- 43:42Speaker 3: how are you today?
- 43:43Speaker 1: I'm good, Sammy, how are you doing well?
- 43:46Speaker 3: What good? Good? What news we got here on Sunday?
- 43:49Speaker 19: I mean, yes, I mean I know that was very sad,
- 43:53Speaker 19: very very sad. You know, my condolence is to the
- 43:55Speaker 19: entire you know, both family we have We really really
- 43:59Speaker 19: loved legend, We really really did. I mean, you know,
- 44:02Speaker 19: she had a voice that danced across generations, different moods,
- 44:06Speaker 19: you know, different menodies, and I think you know we
- 44:10Speaker 19: were just talking off air that she was very very
- 44:12Speaker 19: experimental with her voice, you know, She had such a
- 44:16Speaker 19: wide range of songs that we still listen to today,
- 44:20Speaker 19: you know, like from bead Works Ja to the jus
- 44:24Speaker 19: Ga Head to Dumb Model Dumbs. So you know, it's
- 44:28Speaker 19: it's obviously I think in some way or the other,
- 44:32Speaker 19: you know, her songs, her music, her voice have really
- 44:34Speaker 19: really touched us. I was very fortunate and I was
- 44:38Speaker 19: very lucky to spend her UK tour with her back
- 44:40Speaker 19: in twenty sixteen. Yeah, it was it was just magical
- 44:45Speaker 19: just being with her. I mean, I didn't know and
- 44:48Speaker 19: I didn't realize how much of a one to one
- 44:50Speaker 19: time I would get.
- 44:51Speaker 9: With her on this tour.
- 44:52Speaker 19: And it was her farewell tour. So she did a
- 44:55Speaker 19: show in Birmingham and she did, you know, the big
- 44:57Speaker 19: one in London, Wembley Arena, and I just remember just
- 45:02Speaker 19: being in the green room with her backstage and she
- 45:04Speaker 19: would just tell me all these stories and then like
- 45:07Speaker 19: we would be getting ready together for this tour in
- 45:11Speaker 19: the green room and she'd just be humming and singing
- 45:13Speaker 19: and then should you know, tell me a story and
- 45:16Speaker 19: then she'd just talk to me and she'd ask me questions,
- 45:18Speaker 19: and oh, I honestly cherished that moment so much and
- 45:23Speaker 19: I'm just so thankful to have done that. And I
- 45:25Speaker 19: think also a big part of listening to Arsha Bors's music.
- 45:30Speaker 20: You know, they say that.
- 45:32Speaker 19: When you're younger, the music that your parents listen to,
- 45:36Speaker 19: that really shapes the music that you listen to. And
- 45:40Speaker 19: I'm so very lucky that my parents were big fans
- 45:44Speaker 19: of you know, Ardie Berman, arsherbos Lin, Mohammad Raffi, and
- 45:48Speaker 19: we'd used to listen to all this kind of music
- 45:51Speaker 19: on you know, long drives. So I just feel very
- 45:55Speaker 19: happy that I grew up listening to Archer Bosslyn, you know,
- 45:58Speaker 19: mays we rest in peace.
- 46:00Speaker 3: Yeah, what an impact. And I know how much of
- 46:02Speaker 3: an impact you made of course on music in India
- 46:05Speaker 3: and in Indian cinema and so yes, the impact is
- 46:09Speaker 3: going to be far and wide. Yeah yeah, well is
- 46:14Speaker 3: the big teaser trailer? What's going on there?
- 46:17Speaker 19: And yes, okay, so we've had the teaser for John
- 46:21Speaker 19: Millerdale for those that don't know this one stars and
- 46:24Speaker 19: then their Brandy and Luxure now Luture. We saw in Kill,
- 46:30Speaker 19: We then saw him in Bags of Bollywood. He was
- 46:32Speaker 19: absolutely fantastic. He was supposed to be Indostanner too. He
- 46:38Speaker 19: was supposed to have a really big Bollywood like break
- 46:42Speaker 19: via Thermal Productions, but somehow, for some reason, it just
- 46:45Speaker 19: never happened.
- 46:46Speaker 3: So anyway, he's.
- 46:47Speaker 19: Done to two projects. He's now on his John Mayervil
- 46:51Speaker 19: the teaser, I mean everyone, and even when I was
- 46:54Speaker 19: watching it, I was like, this is just sums down
- 46:56Speaker 19: for me.
- 46:57Speaker 3: I just couldn't.
- 46:58Speaker 9: I'm like, this is really a part two?
- 47:01Speaker 3: And yeah it was.
- 47:03Speaker 19: It was just it was it was feeling very wrong.
- 47:06Speaker 19: So I'm going to be really really honest. I have
- 47:08Speaker 19: got a very big question mark against this movie.
- 47:12Speaker 20: It's releasing.
- 47:14Speaker 19: May twenty second, so we are supposed to be getting
- 47:18Speaker 19: the first song, which is a title song John midda
- 47:21Speaker 19: Bill that is going to be releasing tomorrow. It has
- 47:24Speaker 19: been sung by Sanyada superstar Fahima Beller, right, So yeah,
- 47:29Speaker 19: I mean, like I said, it's giving Sayada for him
- 47:32Speaker 19: is singing the title song. So I think we're just
- 47:34Speaker 19: kind of going towards that direction. But I'm not going
- 47:37Speaker 19: to write it off fully. I'm going to wait and
- 47:39Speaker 19: see because Luksha is an amazing actor yeh so is
- 47:44Speaker 19: and then near bandit, I mean, she's come a very
- 47:46Speaker 19: very long way so we're gonna have to wait and see.
- 47:49Speaker 3: Let's see what happens. You know, your twenty second weekend
- 47:52Speaker 3: is still up for grabs as we hear it from Minushka,
- 47:55Speaker 3: Let's see what happens. Wow, thank you for joining us today, Anushka.

- 50:15Speaker 3: let's bring Rihanna to the show.
- 50:17Speaker 31: Hey everyone, this is Rihanna with the news only on
- 50:19Speaker 31: Day Asma Rising on ROCKASAVENI Radio. You're Home away from
- 50:22Speaker 31: Home Today we look at affordability abroad in infrastructure reform.
- 50:25Speaker 31: At home, Canadian officials have announced expanded housing incentives aimed
- 50:29Speaker 31: at increasing supply and easing rental pressure. Immigration remains central
- 50:33Speaker 31: to Canada's economic model, but housing affordability continues to shape
- 50:36Speaker 31: political debate. South Asian families, especially students and new immigrants,
- 50:40Speaker 31: are directly impacted by rental costs and housing availability in
- 50:43Speaker 31: cities like Toronto and Vancouver. Pakistan's re visiting privatization and
- 50:47Speaker 31: restructuring plans for its struggling power distribution companies. Energy reform
- 50:51Speaker 31: remains one of the toughest challenges for the government, as
- 50:53Speaker 31: circular debt and rising tariff stream consumers. Improved grade stability
- 50:57Speaker 31: could unlock industrial growth, but reform remains politically sensitive. Affordable
- 51:00Speaker 31: housing builds communities, reliable energy build economies both are in
- 51:04Speaker 31: central to South Asian progress stories. But tell us your
- 51:06Speaker 31: thoughts at ros An Radio. This is Raining with the
- 51:09Speaker 31: news every Monday and my Heart Radio and res An

- 54:11Speaker 32: Thanks Sammy, Hi everyone, this is Tota dea Scripta. You'r
- 54:13Speaker 32: rukas Avni Radio Music Crispondent back with some fun facts
- 54:17Speaker 32: about your favorite artists. Did you know that architd Singh
- 54:20Speaker 32: was in the singing reality show famed Gircle in two
- 54:22Speaker 32: thousand and five where he couldn't even manage to be
- 54:25Speaker 32: among the top five. Archid was one of the most
- 54:28Speaker 32: love singers on the show, but he still ended up
- 54:30Speaker 32: on the sixth position. And now Archid has been declared
- 54:33Speaker 32: as the most shammed Indian artist from twenty twenty to
- 54:36Speaker 32: twenty twenty three and he's the third most followed artist
- 54:39Speaker 32: globally on Spotify. Well that's all for me, now back
- 54:43Speaker 32: to you, Sammy.
- 54:43Speaker 3: Thank you so much. Douta. Today folks, it's been all
- 54:48Speaker 3: about adijitsing and I want to say something about him
- 54:52Speaker 3: that I'm not sure anyone else is going to say.
- 54:55Speaker 3: You know, yesterday we talked about Asha Bosley. We talked
- 54:58Speaker 3: about twelve thousand songs, we talked about what she overcame,
- 55:01Speaker 3: and then she left us. She left us with a
- 55:04Speaker 3: song called Shadowy Light, last recording, as if to say,
- 55:07Speaker 3: I'm still here, I'm still doing this, this is who
- 55:10Speaker 3: I am. And today I keep thinking about Udijeet Singh
- 55:13Speaker 3: for some reason. Seven point one billion streams in one
- 55:16Speaker 3: country in one year, the seventh most streamed artist on
- 55:20Speaker 3: the entire planet, the first Indian act ever in Spotify's
- 55:24Speaker 3: global Top ten. And here's what I want to say
- 55:27Speaker 3: out loud, because I don't think many people are gonna
- 55:30Speaker 3: say it. The star that was Lataji, that was Ashaj,
- 55:34Speaker 3: that was Kushoor Kumar, that was Ruffy Sob. The star
- 55:38Speaker 3: has broken into a million pieces. Those pieces are Utdije dilj.
- 55:43Speaker 3: It's got an adjuly ep. All these guys that I
- 55:45Speaker 3: play on this show, one generation carried it all. This
- 55:50Speaker 3: generation carries a piece each. But Udijeet Singh might just
- 55:56Speaker 3: be the last of his type ever, the last voice
- 56:00Speaker 3: that sits inside that Bollywood tradition the way those legends did.
- 56:04Speaker 3: I don't think we're treating him that way, that with
- 56:08Speaker 3: the reverence that he really deserves. He deserves a statue
- 56:13Speaker 3: not just for who he has been, but for what
- 56:16Speaker 3: we will remember him for the last of what Asha
- 56:19Speaker 3: Bosley and the other Bollywood singers once were the mega voices,
- 56:26Speaker 3: and he is the last keeper of that flame. The
- 56:29Speaker 3: question I'm leaving with you today when Arijit Singh is done,
- 56:34Speaker 3: and one day he will be done. Who carries what
- 56:37Speaker 3: he carries? I don't think anyone does, and that should
- 56:42Speaker 3: mean something to all of us. Here's the song, fair say,
- 56:46Speaker 3: I've had a great time hanging out with you, see
- 56:48Speaker 3: you tomorrow.
- 56:50Speaker 4: You do not.
- 56:54Speaker 19: The j.
- 57:04Speaker 2: Yeah, don't say Margie who many ub Yeah, don't say.

- 57:45Speaker 8: Curtom Doyenrmony person and a body, some jew tail from Marcato.
- 57:56Speaker 2: I'm on every person.
