- 0:19world famous Harley Street. This podcast features powerful
- 0:23hypnosis, so do not listen while driving or operating machinery.

- 0:30severe mental health issues, so get yourself comfortable and
- 0:34enjoy today's episode of The Hypnotist.
- 0:44Hi Adam here and you're about to listen to a hypnosis session all
- 0:49about getting lean and strong and I was working with a client
- 0:54that was going to the gym about 3 or 4 times a week but quite
- 1:00often felt that it was something they.
- 1:02Had to. Do rather than actually they
- 1:04wanted to do. So what they originally came to
- 1:07me for was to almost have this discipline, this willpower to
- 1:13keep going to the gym almost like a a drill Sergeant in their
- 1:16own head. And what became evident very,
- 1:19very quickly is that for those. Areas of their.
- 1:23Life that they were most aligned with, which was their career,
- 1:27They didn't. Have this need.
- 1:28For a drill Sergeant, they simply wanted to do that thing
- 1:32because it took their life in a positive direction.
- 1:36And what I tend to be pretty good at is finding the
- 1:39strategies and resources within the individual, the client that
- 1:42I'm working with, and then mapping that across to a
- 1:46different context that it would be beneficial.
- 1:48So given that in their life they were at their most resourceful
- 1:53when it felt that they were aligned with that and it was
- 1:56taking them. Forwards in a.
- 1:58Direction that they wanted, that was the ultimate resource to map
- 2:02across in the area of working out.
- 2:05They also had a particular frame of reference that was an
- 2:09inspiration for them, and it was the actor Chris Pratt.
- 2:14Now, Chris Pratt originally was known for being in a comedy
- 2:18called Parks and Recreation, but his body shape in that comedy,
- 2:23in that sitcom. Was kind of.
- 2:25Like fairly chubby, not like fat, but kind of, you would say
- 2:30quite round as a, as a figure, approximately around about 30%
- 2:34body fat, you know, and there's a lot of people that are at that
- 2:37shape and they're very comfortable in their own body.
- 2:40But what happened with Chris is that he got offered a movie role
- 2:43for a movie called Guardians of the Galaxy, where he played the
- 2:47lead hero, Star Lord. And when he appeared in that
- 2:53movie, he shocked a lot of people.
- 2:55Who had been? Used to seeing him in a comedy
- 2:57with a fairly kind of flabby physique to then have quite an
- 3:01athletic physique. And this was a frame of
- 3:04reference for the client. And they also wanted that kind
- 3:07of athletic physique feeling that it would give them more
- 3:10confidence and more motivation and just more fortitude and
- 3:14resilience. So you're going to hear Chris
- 3:17Pratt as a frame of reference. And what it does is it gives an
- 3:21element of a strategy and also the fact.
- 3:24That what? Chris was able.
- 3:26To to do. Isn't beyond the reach of most
- 3:29people and that is a body fat percentage for men of around
- 3:3310%. The equivalent in women would be
- 3:35around 15 or 16% because men and female body fat ratios are are
- 3:39different. So a 10% body fat target for a
- 3:43man and we actually did some research and found what he was
- 3:47bench pressing and squatting and dead lifting.
- 3:50And these were within the realms of a healthy male to do.
- 3:53So one of my belief systems is that people won't play the game
- 3:57if the game isn't winnable. And realizing that this is
- 4:00actually a very winnable goal enabled this client to feel like
- 4:04they could have a a body like a Hollywood action hero, and it
- 4:09wasn't beyond reach. So believing it's.
- 4:11Possible and aspirational is a key part of change and then
- 4:15strategically making it something they could do.
- 4:18And you're going to hear all of this in a in a hypnosis session
- 4:22designed to get lean, which is the low body fat and strong,
- 4:25which is the ability to lift heavier weights.
- 4:28So if you like the idea of getting stronger and leaner,
- 4:32then you'll get some value out of this session, but equally it
- 4:35was created. For a specific.
- 4:37Individual. So if you like the idea of
- 4:41having let's say a bespoke hypnosis session created for
- 4:44you, there is 2 key things I would suggest. 1 is that there
- 4:47is a. Suitability test.
- 4:49For you to figure out if hypnosis is right for you and
- 4:52that takes about one to two minutes to do.
- 4:54And there's a link to that in the description.
- 4:56But also you can just book a free consultation call to
- 5:00explore working with me. Again, the link to that is in
- 5:03the description. So if that feels like something
- 5:06you're curious in or interested in, check that out.
- 5:09And for now, I would recommend to get the most out of this
- 5:12session, find a quiet, comfortable place, ideally in
- 5:16the kind of environment where you won't be disturbed.
- 5:18Relax and enjoy the session. Take a deep breath in, and as
- 5:55you breathe in, breathe in that resourceful feeling of calm and
- 5:59relaxation. And as you exhale, just allow
- 6:04your eyelids to close, and as they close, feel a sense of
- 6:10release as tension starts to leave your body in that outward
- 6:16breath. Breathing in that resourceful
- 6:20feeling of calm and relaxation and continuing to exhale tension
- 6:28in the outward breath. That's it.
- 6:31Deeper and deeper Relaxed. In fact, the deeper you breathe,
- 6:43activating that diaphragm, more of that relaw resourceful
- 6:49relaxation. You're breathing in and exhaling
- 6:53that tension, taking you deeper and deeper relaxed.
- 7:03Think of a color that represents resourcefulness, maybe a bright
- 7:08color, yellow, orange, vibrant blue.
- 7:15And as you breathe in, imagine breathing in that feeling of
- 7:20resourcefulness. And as you exhale, just imagine
- 7:31anything unresourceful starting to leave your body, like grey or
- 7:37dark shadows leaving your body in that outward breath.
- 7:43Consider this a transfusion, breathing in the resources you
- 7:49need and exhaling anything that represents a block or an
- 7:57impediment. Just feel that start to leave
- 8:01your body as you exhale and as your body relaxes, your
- 8:12imagination awakens. But I want you to imagine a
- 8:19pristine beach somewhere in Spain, completely private, white
- 8:26sands in a beautiful Cove. And I want you to imagine how it
- 8:34would feel to be walking barefoot on that white sandy
- 8:42beach, no one else around, just you.
- 8:49And sometimes when people feel connected to nature, their
- 8:54breathing slows, gets deeper. There is a feeling of being
- 9:00aligned with nature as you start to feel like tension around your
- 9:08neck and your shoulders is just melting away, eyelids feeling
- 9:15heavier and heavier and jaws starting to loosen.
- 9:22That's it. With every breath feeling deeper
- 9:28and deeper, relaxed. That's it.
- 9:31And I want you to imagine perhaps the most comfortable
- 9:40chair that's ever existed, the kind of chair that doesn't
- 9:46belong in a beach, but there it is.
- 9:51And I want you to imagine how good it would feel to rest
- 9:56yourself on that comfy chair, looking out at the ocean, and
- 10:03maybe it reclines and you can feel yourself sinking deeper and
- 10:10deeper there into the chair. That's it.
- 10:15As I count from 5:00 to 1:00, you will imagine how good it
- 10:19would feel to drift so deeply relaxed.
- 10:26It almost feels like you're drifting into a waking dream. 5,
- 10:34Just releasing all the tension around your face, your neck, and
- 10:37your shoulders. That's it.
- 10:40Releasing it all in your outward breath.
- 10:44And four, just feeling your arms all the way down to your
- 10:48fingers, feeling limp, loose and heavy, so completely relaxed,
- 10:59almost like the limbs of a puppet with no strings.
- 11:02Just limp, loose and relaxed. And then three, imagine your
- 11:10internal organs, your heart, your lungs, your stomach, all
- 11:15the way down into your gut, all relaxing as you breathe in and
- 11:23breathe out. Feel like it's doing the
- 11:25breathing for you, deep and effortless.
- 11:31And then to focus now on your legs.
- 11:36What makes you feel that your legs are made of Jelly?
- 11:41Nothing they need to do. Just limp and loose.
- 11:44So relaxed all the way down to your toes.
- 11:52And then feel one from the tip of your toes rippling up to the
- 11:56top of your head and back down to your fingertips.
- 12:01A wave of relaxation enabling you to drift into what feels
- 12:06like a dreamlike sleep. And in this dreamlike sleep, I
- 12:15want you to imagine you're in your own private cinema.
- 12:22Find the comfiest chair in that private cinema and imagine
- 12:30seeing. For some reason there is 2
- 12:32screens in this cinema and I want you to imagine on the
- 12:40screen on the left you're seeing a scene from Parks and
- 12:49Recreation. I want you to see Chris Pratt
- 12:57playing that character Andy, and see him with the physical shape
- 13:06that he used to have, maybe 25 to 30% body fat, No real
- 13:18physique, just an average guy in an office job and noticed that
- 13:28his physique wasn't linked to his confidence.
- 13:33He was confident without it. But I want you to just notice
- 13:40there was a version of him with a more rounded physique, didn't
- 13:46go to the gym. And then on the screen on the
- 13:50right, I want you to see him in an action movie, maybe in
- 13:58Guardians of the Galaxy. And almost like a before and
- 14:03after picture, I want you to see him with a more defined
- 14:09physique, lower body fat, more muscular.
- 14:16And I want you to see a different type of confidence.
- 14:22Somehow the confidence has evolved.
- 14:26You might link it to a sense of inner certainty, fortitude
- 14:34perhaps. Why was this transformation
- 14:38required? Perhaps there was a belief that
- 14:45in order to be a hero, a certain look was required.
- 14:53But I want you to look back on the screen on the left and get a
- 14:59sense that the resources to create this body shape existed.
- 15:07The capability was there, the resources were there.
- 15:12It just needed a catalyst. And perhaps the catalyst was an
- 15:22offer to star in a movie. And maybe that was the catalyst.
- 15:28And the resources were personal trainers, nutritionists, call it
- 15:35a plan, a strategy. The movie offer was the why, and
- 15:43those resources provided the how.
- 15:49And I want you to get a sense that ability was always there.
- 15:57And I want you to imagine stepping into the screen on the
- 16:01left, stepping into the body of Chris Pratt with all of the
- 16:07resources to transform his body, but not having committed to it
- 16:13yet. And I want you to imagine there
- 16:18is a moment, a decision, a decision to transform their body
- 16:29in a particular way. And maybe part of that was to
- 16:36imagine themselves in the future looking different, being
- 16:40different, and feeling that all it would take is to eat
- 16:51different foods and exercise in a different way.
- 16:59And I want you to feel those resources are opening up for you
- 17:03now and then shift perspective. And I want you to imagine
- 17:11yourself there in the cinema now, looking at 2 blank screens.
- 17:21I want you to see the screen on the left, you as a 15 year old
- 17:27making an important life decision as to which direction
- 17:33to take your career. On the screen on the left
- 17:39there's the version of you making a decision, and on the
- 17:43screen on the right I want you to see what currently represents
- 17:49the. Pinnacle of your.
- 17:50Success, maybe an accomplishment, maybe something
- 17:57that you did you never thought you would do.
- 18:03The kind of thing that if old teachers were to run into you
- 18:10again, you could say, look what I've achieved and that would be
- 18:13the thing that you would mention.
- 18:17And if you can see who you were and who you became, let me know
- 18:22about nodding your head. And I want you to make an
- 18:27evaluation that you didn't require coercion,
- 18:33accountability, pressure, because that version of you
- 18:40wanted to be and become something that mattered to you.
- 18:48And if that's true in your career, it can also be true in a
- 18:54different transformation. Your career transformation would
- 19:02have surprised those that doubted you.
- 19:06So now on the screen on the left, I want you to imagine
- 19:11seeing a version of you with that body shape that doesn't
- 19:18quite tap into what you're capable of.
- 19:23You know, with a different level of motivation and desire.
- 19:28Higher standards, more things are possible.
- 19:35So on the screen on the left, I want you to see that version of
- 19:40you that's tapping into a fraction of what is capable and
- 19:45possible. And on the screen on the right,
- 19:49I want you to imagine seeing you with a physique similar to an
- 19:56action hero. It's you.
- 20:00It's in your future. I want you to see yourself with
- 20:05a body fat percentage of around 10%.
- 20:10Muscles are defined. Abdominals are visible.
- 20:18But you're not so shredded you look like a bodybuilder.
- 20:22I want you to see with a manageable, healthy, lean
- 20:28physique, but not so lean it would cause a burden.
- 20:34And I want you to see yourself with visibly larger muscles,
- 20:40particularly around the legs, the chest and the shoulders,
- 20:45Arms with more definition and still keeping that 10% body fat
- 20:50percentage. This is your action hero
- 20:58physique, and I want you to feel that this is possible,
- 21:07manageable, doable, and if you're unconscious agrees that
- 21:14this is possible for you, let me know by nodding your head.
- 21:21And I want you to imagine now the two screens merge into one,
- 21:27and all good movies of a transformation have a montage
- 21:31sequence. I want you to see yours
- 21:36condensing months into minutes. Your unconscious will let you
- 21:42know what is required for this transformation to be possible.
- 21:49Maybe it's eating more protein. Maybe it's not going to the gym
- 21:54anymore but training different, higher weights.
- 22:00But maybe it's five sets of five, training your muscles to
- 22:06get stronger. I want you to get a sense.
- 22:10Then you only need to train four times a week of lifting weights,
- 22:17and the other times you can do cardio.
- 22:21I want you to get a sense that it is quality, not quantity.
- 22:28See that montage sequence? Maybe put some music That would
- 22:31be motivating for you. I want you to get a sense of
- 22:37observing you like you're someone else.
- 22:39What are you doing? What are you eating?
- 22:43How are you training? And maybe you see yourself doing
- 22:47certain exercises, the compound exercises, squats, deadlifts,
- 22:56bench press, the overhead press where you're lifting the barbell
- 23:01from your chest up ahead above your head, and just seeing the
- 23:05weights get larger and larger. See yourself doing the rows.
- 23:13And maybe you see yourself in a gym and maybe you see yourself
- 23:17lifting from your own rack. I want you to see, like any good
- 23:22montage, you can see the progress in the sequence.
- 23:28The plates have got bigger numbers, the weights are getting
- 23:32heavier. Your body is transforming
- 23:36throughout the montage. And I want you to notice how
- 23:42appealing this is a transformation.
- 23:49But I want you to make a promise to yourself.
- 23:53This transformation will be covert.
- 23:58The evidence of the transformation won't be what you
- 24:00say, it's what other people notice.
- 24:06So allow the montage to turn into you observing you being
- 24:12noticed by other people. Maybe it's words like why are
- 24:18you looking big? Have you been working out?
- 24:24Why are you looking strong? Or maybe it's just a look.
- 24:30I want you to observe. Observe that other people are
- 24:34noticing this transformation. All parts of the journey appeal
- 24:42because every time you work out, you are training your brain to
- 24:50become more mentally strong. Every time you exercise a
- 24:56muscle, you're mental fortitude is getting stronger.
- 25:03Every time you achieve a new personal best, your brain and
- 25:08your body is flooded with dopamine.
- 25:13I want you to get a sense that it feels good on the journey
- 25:18towards that destination. Feel that every time you work
- 25:25out, you are turning a part within you from that podgy Chris
- 25:33Pratt into the action hero Chris Pratt.
- 25:41That transformation starts within and then reflects
- 25:46externally. Your body becomes a reflection
- 25:53of your habits and decisions. And as you observe one final
- 26:00time this montage, I want you to see the absence of any drill
- 26:05Sergeant, the absence of any coercion.
- 26:11There is no reluctant grimace on your face as you're working out.
- 26:15You're smiling because you are becoming who you are meant to
- 26:20be. And the fact that it's not easy
- 26:25is what makes the accomplishment so valuable, because so few
- 26:30people could manage this transformation.
- 26:38The more difficult it is, the more rewarding the destination.
- 26:48And then see at the end of that montage, something that would
- 26:54represent the ideal goal. And maybe you can see yourself
- 27:04on a beach in Spain wearing the kind of clothes that would
- 27:10reveal that physical transformation, the physique.
- 27:17But now the private beach is now a public beach.
- 27:21And I want you to see the expressions of other people.
- 27:26They even noticed the transformation.
- 27:29And the way you walk on that beach exudes confidence.
- 27:37There is an element that tells you that version of you is
- 27:43brimming with confidence and sky high self esteem and if that
- 27:50feels like a desirable future, let me know by nodding your
- 27:53head. That's it.
- 27:57And then that version of you that you see on that beach, have
- 28:02them discover a comfy chair and imagine that future version of
- 28:08you is now on that same chair that you drifted off into a
- 28:14dreamlike sleep. A future version of you is now
- 28:18connected with the present version of you, allowing a seed
- 28:23of an idea to be planted that this future version of you is no
- 28:30longer an aspirational wishful thinking goal.
- 28:36It is simply who you will become.
- 28:42And every time you work out, and every time you get a new
- 28:46personal best, every time the weights get heavier, you are
- 28:51becoming that version of you. And I want you to imagine what
- 28:58the next few days and weeks would look like.
- 29:03The subtle changes to sets and reps, the changes to your facial
- 29:10expression when you work out your body language.
- 29:14What it takes for you to get into that gym.
- 29:18Notice the subtle changes and allow yourself allow your mind,
- 29:27your emotions to awaken all of the resources required so that
- 29:34subtle changes create a chain reaction so that things get
- 29:39easier and easier as the weights get heavier and heavier.
- 29:44You are becoming the action hero that was always within.
- 29:54To place yourself back on that comfy chair on the beach,
- 29:58realizing that all of this was just a journey within your
- 30:01imagination. A journey of thoughts within
- 30:05thoughts, ideas within ideas, and dreams within dreams.
- 30:09But it's time to return to the present, taking all of these new
- 30:15resources, new ways of thinking back with you, but in particular
- 30:21the resource of desire and enthusiasm.
- 30:27You don't have to do this. You're choosing to do it.
- 30:31And by choosing to do it, that's what gives you the confidence
- 30:34and the self esteem whenever you notice progress.
- 30:40So take a deep breath in through your nose and out through your
- 30:45nose. Just wiggle your fingers, wiggle
- 30:49your toes. That's it.
- 30:50Connect and calibrate into the here and the now as I now count
- 30:54from 1:00 to 10:00 to awaken you.
- 30:57You will awaken feeling resourceful, optimistic, already
- 31:02getting a sense of increasing confidence purely from the
- 31:06intention alone. Starting to count 123 Waking up
- 31:13456 More alert 7-8. Open your eyes.
- 31:16Open your eyes. 910 Wide awake, wide awake, wide awake.
