- 0:01SPEAKER_01: Hey guys, welcome back to Skincare Anarchy.
- 0:04SPEAKER_01: This is your host, Ecta, and I'm really excited about the brand I'm going to introduce you to today because when it comes to hair care, I think we've seen a lot of redundant options, you know, over the years.
- 0:15SPEAKER_01: I know I have as a consumer.
- 0:16SPEAKER_01: And one of my biggest questions for me personally has always been graying hair.
- 0:21SPEAKER_01: I started graying very early, my own personal journey, just to let some of you guys know what I've been through.
- 0:26SPEAKER_01: I started graying very early.
- 0:28SPEAKER_01: And so for me, it was really about figuring out ways to cover it up or to just, you know, work with what I was getting, which was just a lot of grays.
- 0:36SPEAKER_01: And so, you know, this brand is really focused around that problem and really finding a solution.
- 0:41SPEAKER_01: So without me ranting too much, I'd love to introduce you to the co-founder and CEO of Array Gray, Alison Conrad.
- 0:48SPEAKER_01: Welcome to the show, Allison.
- 0:49SPEAKER_01: I'm excited to host you.
- 0:51SPEAKER_00: Oh, thank you so much for having me.
- 0:52SPEAKER_00: And thank you for saying it correctly.
- 0:54SPEAKER_00: Array Gray.
- 0:55SPEAKER_00: It runs.
- 0:56SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 0:57SPEAKER_01: No, I'm excited about our conversation because this is a topic, you know, we never talk about like truly like graying and aging hair, you know, it's never discussed in the hair care industry.
- 1:08SPEAKER_01: And like I was saying in the intro, you know, there's a lot of stuff going on in hair care right now, but a lot of it is kind of redundant.
- 1:15SPEAKER_01: You know, I've seen it before as a consumer.
- 1:17SPEAKER_01: So I'm very excited about what you guys are doing.
- 1:20SPEAKER_01: Maybe Alison, you could start us off by telling us about yourself and how you got into the hair care industry and what really, you know, interested you and led you to creating a Ray Gray.
- 1:30SPEAKER_00: Yeah, well, like you had said, it's it's the same sort of situation where this came from my personal journey of seeing gray hair.
- 1:39SPEAKER_00: And, you know, everybody knows and remembers their first gray hair moment, right?
- 1:44SPEAKER_00: It's such a sort of like pinnacle moment in your life.
- 1:47SPEAKER_00: But I I just never forget it.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: I discovered it when I was in my parents' bathroom visiting them as a 30-year-old, and I was like, what is happening?
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: That this is happening.
- 1:56SPEAKER_00: So through that journey, it was me just trying to figure out what I could do to get on top of it and be proactive.
- 2:04SPEAKER_00: I was using all these skincare products.
- 2:06SPEAKER_00: I was using SPF all over my body.
- 2:09SPEAKER_00: I was, you know, looking into Botox proactively.
- 2:12SPEAKER_00: I was using wrinkle creams and retinols and hyaluronic acid and all these things for my skin and exercising and eating well for my body.
- 2:19SPEAKER_00: And there for hair, there was really only hair loss products, but I wasn't personally experiencing hair loss.
- 2:26SPEAKER_00: So I was like, how, you know, why does this not exist?
- 2:29SPEAKER_00: And there were sort of a few things, like there was this a supplement on Amazon that just kind of looked a little sketchy.
- 2:37SPEAKER_00: I wasn't so sure of.
- 2:38SPEAKER_00: And so we started doing the the research ourselves.
- 2:41SPEAKER_00: And I actually, the first person I went to was my hairstylist of 10 years, and he's now my co-founder, Jay.
- 2:47SPEAKER_00: He's also a tricologist.
- 2:49SPEAKER_00: And I, you know, I was like, okay, what do I do?
- 2:51SPEAKER_00: And and at the time, this was many years ago, and he was like, Well, what do you mean?
- 2:54SPEAKER_00: Like you you what wait for it to go gray enough and then you dye it.
- 2:58SPEAKER_00: And he's like, But please wait as long as you can, because it's gonna be a process that starts at every six to eight weeks, and then it's gonna become every four weeks, and then every two weeks, and you know, it's it's expensive and it's potentially toxic.
- 3:12SPEAKER_00: And I was like, wait, what?
- 3:13SPEAKER_00: Yeah, what what do you mean?
- 3:15SPEAKER_00: So that led us on this journey of trying to figure out solutions and alternatives that we could provide.
- 3:22SPEAKER_00: And it really started with the supplement that was the first product we launched.
- 3:26SPEAKER_00: My dad is an internal medicine doctor, a clinical pharmacologist, and my mom's a dietitian.
- 3:31SPEAKER_00: We brought in a chemical engineer from MIT, and it was really finding these science-backed ingredients as well as eastern medicine ingredients, sort of integrating east with west, starting from the inside out and using the this supplement.
- 3:45SPEAKER_00: And then while we were developing the supplement, we were also developing topical solutions to work with the supplement as well.
- 3:52SPEAKER_00: So it really just came from trying to find a solution for myself and and thinking, you know, there's probably other people out there who would like to get on top of this and not wait and and only have dye as the solution.
- 4:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I mean, I think this is very novel.
- 4:08SPEAKER_01: And I think that, you know, from I'll tell you, you know, as somebody who did gray very early in my life, you know, thinks that.
- 4:14SPEAKER_00: You know, I get my own.
- 4:15SPEAKER_00: Well, it's only so no, let me stop you if you don't mind me interrupting for a second.
- 4:20SPEAKER_00: And that's actually a huge part of this of why we're doing this.
- 4:24SPEAKER_00: So genetics is not the only answer, and it's a very small port, it's about 30% is genetics.
- 4:29SPEAKER_00: So there's one gene that scientists have identified as the IRF4 gene, and it accounts for about 30% of why we go gray.
- 4:35SPEAKER_00: So the other bigger factors are oxidative stressors.
- 4:39SPEAKER_00: Um, so that could be, you know, UV.
- 4:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, hello, it doesn't just hit your skin and affect and give you wrinkles, it's also affecting your hair and making it grayer.
- 4:47SPEAKER_00: Hair dye can contribute to more oxidative stress and and potentially more gray hair.
- 4:52SPEAKER_00: Smoking is terrible for gray hair.
- 4:55SPEAKER_00: The foods that we eat, right, are contributing.
- 4:58SPEAKER_00: So there's the oxidative stressors in the world that are accelerating this process for us.
- 5:04SPEAKER_00: And then, of course, there's you know, lifestyle factors.
- 5:07SPEAKER_00: There's aging too, right?
- 5:09SPEAKER_00: Aging is a factor.
- 5:10SPEAKER_00: We are all aging, but there's things you can do to slow the process and repigment these gray hairs before they turn white.
- 5:18SPEAKER_00: So I and my parents, by the way, are also you know completely white at this point.
- 5:23SPEAKER_00: And I blamed my mom for a very long time.
- 5:25SPEAKER_00: Now I feel bad about it.
- 5:27SPEAKER_00: But she actually, when I was in preschool, came to pick me up and the I said to her, Why are you the only mom with gray hair?
- 5:33SPEAKER_00: I was four years old, and she went the next day and dyed her hair.
- 5:36SPEAKER_00: And so it's it's actually almost like feels like Kismet, like my my whole life journey started when I was a four-year-old to take me to this point.
- 5:45SPEAKER_00: Oh, my poor mom.
- 5:46SPEAKER_00: I feel so bad that's for saying that.
- 5:48SPEAKER_00: But you know, and our whole goal actually as a brand is we're we're not anti-aging, we're not anti-gray.
- 5:53SPEAKER_00: We we hope that people will start to accept gray hair a little bit more, but we hope that it's we we just want to give consumers some confidence and some control and feeling like they can do something about it.
- 6:04SPEAKER_01: So yeah, no, it makes sense.
- 6:06SPEAKER_01: I'm glad you mentioned that though, the genetic component, because yeah, I mean, your like the you know, initial response, I think, is just to blame your parents or genetics, or you know, just hey, this is the cards I was dealt, you know, when it comes to my hair genetics.
- 6:21SPEAKER_01: I mean, at the end of the day, I think what's interesting to me is that growing up, I always heard, and maybe you can kind of maybe shine some light on this, you know, myth, or if it's a myth or true, is that the more stressed out you are, the more likely you are to get grays.
- 6:38SPEAKER_01: And, you know, is that true?
- 6:40SPEAKER_01: I mean, do you have you guys found in your research that stress is a big component of why we gray, you know, at all or even earlier than usual?
- 6:48SPEAKER_00: Or so, yes, a very good question.
- 6:51SPEAKER_00: And we all know sort of anecdotally, right?
- 6:53SPEAKER_00: And you won't see the pictures of Obama and then four or eight years later, he's so much grayer, and we all have our own sort of personal stories around this.
- 7:00SPEAKER_00: I have my own too.
- 7:02SPEAKER_00: But it no there has never been a clinical study definitively showing that stress causes gray hair.
- 7:09SPEAKER_00: But that's also because it's a very hard thing to study and have a study design around, right?
- 7:15SPEAKER_00: Because how do you exactly measure stress?
- 7:17SPEAKER_00: I mean, you can do, you know, heart rate monitoring and like cortisol levels, but it's typically like self-reporting.
- 7:23SPEAKER_00: And so my level of stress of three might be your level of stress of seven, right?
- 7:28SPEAKER_00: And it's it's just a really hard thing to measure.
- 7:30SPEAKER_00: They've measured it in mice, and so it it has been shown to cog gray hair in mice, but we all know it's probably is it's stress is a probably a factor in so many diseases and and issues that we have as human beings.
- 7:42SPEAKER_00: It's only getting worse, right?
- 7:44SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, I think it likely it is a problem.
- 7:47SPEAKER_00: There's also a condition called pileosis, which is from a very traumatic event or you know, very acute stress, and that does cause these sort of white streaks, you know, the bride of Frankenstein you hear of, and uh the Marie Antoinette, and like all these stories you hear about, and that seems to be very much linked to acute stress causing this issue.
- 8:07SPEAKER_00: So I think what's really fascinating for us in this space is that so little research has been done on gray hair, and this is really by the scientific community been seen more of it as a vanity project and not really a like condition because it's not a disease, it's not, you know, it's it's aging and it's related to many things.
- 8:28SPEAKER_00: So we think there's so much more to be discovered and realized in this space, which is really exciting as a brand.
- 8:36SPEAKER_00: Yeah.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 8:37SPEAKER_01: No, it's really fascinating.
- 8:38SPEAKER_01: And you made such a great point, you know, with the stress thing, because I think that we as consumers, we want to believe that everything has one, you know, thing behind it, you know, one factor.
- 8:51SPEAKER_01: And it's it's really hard sometimes when we don't have that one, you know, just one answer to that one problem, you know, that we think is at the root cause of everything.
- 9:01SPEAKER_01: And I think that's also, you know, there's so many other myths around like why, you know, you get gray hair, like if you pull out a gray hair, it's gonna cause like five more to grow in its place, like like all these things.
- 9:12SPEAKER_01: And I just I find it to be really interesting the way that we kind of process the concept of graying and and really what that means for us in terms of like our relationship to like aging and you know how that makes us feel is just a very complicated problem, you know.
- 9:28SPEAKER_01: So it's I really applaud you guys for kind of tackling it, you know, from this uh perspective of like providing solutions, you know, for consumers because it's important.
- 9:38SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I know I think that's right.
- 9:40SPEAKER_00: And everybody has different genetic makeups and lifestyles.
- 9:44SPEAKER_00: And I mean, it's not what not everybody is no one person is the same to the next.
- 9:49SPEAKER_00: And so there's probably not one just solution, right?
- 9:52SPEAKER_00: That works for everything and solves everything.
- 9:55SPEAKER_00: I think that's part of the challenge as a brand where we try to not overpromise and under deliver.
- 10:02SPEAKER_00: We try to be very clear about expectations and what you could potentially see and how to manage this.
- 10:07SPEAKER_00: This is, you know, we always say like this is not for somebody with a whole head of white or gray hair, expecting their hair to be black the next month, right?
- 10:15SPEAKER_00: Though that's not realistic.
- 10:17SPEAKER_00: And we I liken the analogy to, you know, if you're looking to not see any gray hair or completely reverse your gray hair or go, that's hair dye.
- 10:25SPEAKER_00: And hair dye is like Botox, right?
- 10:28SPEAKER_00: It's a sort of more permanent solution that's a bit more severe, a bit more costly.
- 10:33SPEAKER_00: If you, you know, obviously if you're going to a salon, but you also maintain that daily, right?
- 10:37SPEAKER_00: You don't just use Botox is not your only skincare regimen.
- 10:40SPEAKER_00: You're and I don't mean you, you actually, but like you as the general public, you're using, you know, you're using wrinkle creams again and hyaluronic acids and SPF and think of all the steps and layers we put on our skin.
- 10:52SPEAKER_00: And then with hair dye, it's like you don't just dye your hair and then what, just maybe shampoo and condition.
- 10:58SPEAKER_00: No, there's things you need to be doing to provide your hair, the nutrients to have it be less gray, like slow that process, help with repigmentation, but also our products help with softer, healthier, shinier, thicker, fuller hair, right?
- 11:14SPEAKER_00: Like that requires daily maintenance.
- 11:16SPEAKER_01: So right, right, absolutely.
- 11:18SPEAKER_01: No, and I want to actually dive into that.
- 11:20SPEAKER_01: If we could kind of do, you know, a deep dive into like what you guys discovered.
- 11:25SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know you said you started with supplements, and I'd love to talk about that because there's a lot of hair care supplements out there aimed at like growing your hair, you know, like more hair growth, but there's I've just never seen anything for actually like you know, helping the process of graying hair.
- 11:40SPEAKER_01: So, like, yeah, what is the what was the magic behind creating your supplements?
- 11:44SPEAKER_01: I mean, what did you want to target and what or maybe there's like one ingredient?
- 11:49SPEAKER_01: Tell us a little bit more about that.
- 11:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so it's it's 13 ingredients, and three of them is sort of in this proprietary blend that we have, which a lot of that comes from these eastern medicines that I was alluding to.
- 12:01SPEAKER_00: So there's foti, there's pava, and there's black sesame extract in there, and then there's a host of you know, vitamins you are familiar with, B vitamins, selenium, um, copper.
- 12:12SPEAKER_00: There's there's things that are a bit more common.
- 12:15SPEAKER_00: And the reason, again, all of them are backed by science and and research and evidence that they affect cell turnover and help with reducing oxidative stress and supporting the cells in your hair bulb.
- 12:28SPEAKER_00: And so the idea was you know, supporting that cell regeneration and this the melanogenesis, which is what creates the the pigment and the color in your hair.
- 12:39SPEAKER_00: But the key here is that there is a difference between a gray hair and a white hair.
- 12:44SPEAKER_00: And so a white hair, and that's typically what you see on a person, and you say they have gray hair.
- 12:49SPEAKER_00: Well, you're actually probably seeing their white hair, and the white hair is lost all pigment.
- 12:53SPEAKER_00: So there is nothing, there's no melanogenesis happening anymore.
- 12:57SPEAKER_00: Like that, that's not it's not happening in the hair cell and then the hair bulb.
- 13:01SPEAKER_00: So repigmentation is less likely in that.
- 13:04SPEAKER_00: What is possible is your hair loses pigment over, and that's the graying of it.
- 13:09SPEAKER_00: It's just losing the pigment.
- 13:10SPEAKER_00: And if we can catch that in time, we can help preserve that pigment and help stimulate it so that it can come back.
- 13:17SPEAKER_00: And so, what we're noticing is people will also report their hair is less dull, it's more vibrant, the color saturation is coming back in general, and but it's early stages.
- 13:27SPEAKER_00: So ideally, it's less than 25% gray is when you start.
- 13:31SPEAKER_00: We actually are just releasing our clinical study results next week.
- 13:35SPEAKER_00: We conducted the first ever randomized double-blind placebo control study on gray hair.
- 13:42SPEAKER_00: So we're we're so proud that we got 173 subjects in this study, and the results have been amazing.
- 13:50SPEAKER_00: So 88% of people with our active, they took the active supplement and the serum together.
- 13:55SPEAKER_00: It's called our system.
- 13:56SPEAKER_00: They saw 88% saw no new gray hair growth and or repigmentation, so less gray hair growth overall.
- 14:04SPEAKER_00: And the average was 13% less gray compared to placebo, had 10% more gray hair over the course of this six months.
- 14:13SPEAKER_00: So statistically significant.
- 14:15SPEAKER_00: We know it works.
- 14:16SPEAKER_00: You know, we we've known it's worked for the last four years just from our consumer studies and from you know reviews and customer testimonials, but it's so exciting to actually be able to say that it's also clinically validated.
- 14:29SPEAKER_01: So that's so fascinating.
- 14:31SPEAKER_01: That's really interesting that you guys have proof that it's actually you know helping with this this process of you know, the melanin part is what gets me because it's really interesting to see what generates or what actually helps, you know, in melanin production, obviously, but then also like preserving it and not allowing it to break down, you know, prematurely.
- 14:53SPEAKER_01: That's very interesting.
- 14:54SPEAKER_01: So, I mean, what is it?
- 14:56SPEAKER_01: I mean, I know with melanin, I mean, we talk about that a lot with like skincare, for example, right?
- 15:01SPEAKER_01: We have like these tyrosinase inhibitors that help us with hyperpigmentation and stuff, but like in the hair follicle and all, I mean, what is really behind the breakdown of melanin?
- 15:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, is it the same?
- 15:13SPEAKER_01: Or I mean, can you go into that a little bit more to explain like what causes our hair to lose that color and to lose vitality?
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: Yes.
- 15:22SPEAKER_00: So I'm probably not the best person to answer that question.
- 15:25SPEAKER_00: I am the the business side of it.
- 15:27SPEAKER_00: So I know in in in in broader strokes, in broader terms.
- 15:31SPEAKER_00: Well, maybe in layman layman terms, yeah.
- 15:33SPEAKER_00: We can just kind of go in through a few.
- 15:34SPEAKER_00: I mean, I wish Jay, who was who's a tricologist and my co-founder, um, could speak more to that.
- 15:40SPEAKER_00: He's so eloquent at explaining it.
- 15:42SPEAKER_00: But it's it's really just the the oxidative stress is the huge factor where you know a healthy cell will, a free radical attacks the cell and it breaks down, right?
- 15:51SPEAKER_00: And then it stops producing the color.
- 15:53SPEAKER_00: And so what we're trying to do is protect that and and use these antioxidants to help maintain these healthy cells and help maintain cell turnover, right?
- 16:03SPEAKER_00: So it keeps producing the color.
- 16:05SPEAKER_00: Um, and so that's the big factor of just like kind of keeping that engine going and not letting it lose the melanin because once you you lose it, it's it's very hard to get back.
- 16:15SPEAKER_00: And we've seen some reports of people saying, you know, I did have a white hair and it got repigmented.
- 16:21SPEAKER_00: And we've seen it.
- 16:22SPEAKER_00: We've we've myself I've actually pulled out hairs that have white at the end, seemingly white at the ends, but then dark roots.
- 16:29SPEAKER_00: Um, I think what we still need to understand and discover is like how much of that melanin do you have to have in there to be stimulated?
- 16:38SPEAKER_00: Is it even if there's five percent, you can bring it back?
- 16:41SPEAKER_00: I mean, again, all the science is very still new and we're we're trying to figure it all out and and discover new things as we go.
- 16:49SPEAKER_00: But I always say that the key is the preservation of it.
- 16:52SPEAKER_00: It's like you can't wait till it's too late.
- 16:54SPEAKER_00: Just, and that's why we're our tagline is the wrinkle cream of hair care.
- 16:57SPEAKER_00: It's a bit cheeky, but you really think about you don't put a deep, you don't have a deep wrinkle and you use a topical solution and think, okay, my wrinkle is going to completely disappear, right?
- 17:09SPEAKER_00: That's not possible.
- 17:10SPEAKER_00: But if you have fine lines and you get it early enough and you use it every day and and consistency and keeping with it, you can sort of maintain a bit of the the youth, right?
- 17:21SPEAKER_00: That you're you're trying to achieve.
- 17:22SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I mean, I think that's really the there's still so much to be discovered and understood, but we're trying to just help that melanin to keep keep in production.
- 17:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, that's really good to know, you know, for consumers is that we, you know, we can take care of that.
- 17:38SPEAKER_01: I think that's like the the really cool part to me is that there is a control factor here, you know, for consumers to understand is that, you know, it's not completely out of our hands.
- 17:48SPEAKER_01: We can do something about it.
- 17:50SPEAKER_01: And that's why I find this conversation to be so so interesting because we talk about this very readily in skincare and beauty and cosmosceuticals, you know, it comes up very uh often.
- 18:01SPEAKER_01: And when it comes to hair, it's always been kind of this like, you know, just gray area, no pun intended, but like, you know, uh just we don't know, you know, we don't know what's causing it.
- 18:11SPEAKER_01: Even if even if you look at some of the more like severe, you know, pathologies with hair, right?
- 18:17SPEAKER_01: You look at people who have alopecia and you and you really try to understand it's very difficult, it's a very difficult area, you know, of medicine, of science to understand.
- 18:26SPEAKER_01: And so I think this brings so much hope to so many consumers that yeah, if I if I start it early enough and if I you know approach it with this preventative mindset, it's going to be better for me in the long run, just like SPF, you know.
- 18:40SPEAKER_01: How many dermatologists out there are like preaching about SPF use early on so that you don't have to deal with it in your 40s?
- 18:47SPEAKER_01: I mean, it's very similar to that.
- 18:48SPEAKER_01: So totally it's exactly.
- 18:50SPEAKER_00: I mean, we uh everybody always asks, like, what do you what will you define success, you know, in five years?
- 18:55SPEAKER_00: How would you you say you're successful?
- 18:57SPEAKER_00: I would say, I hope in five years, if people are like, Can you believe we were just watching our hair go gray?
- 19:03SPEAKER_00: Like that was crazy.
- 19:04SPEAKER_00: Like, how are we not doing something about that?
- 19:08SPEAKER_00: And I think that is going to be the defining moment for us.
- 19:11SPEAKER_00: I mean, I I always say, like, I can't believe this didn't exist before.
- 19:16SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of people, rightfully so, are skeptical and saying, well, if it didn't exist because it can't work, right?
- 19:23SPEAKER_00: Like that's the logical conclusion.
- 19:25SPEAKER_00: And well, if if it would work, somebody would have already figured it out and invented it, right?
- 19:29SPEAKER_00: But there's always room for innovation and newness.
- 19:32SPEAKER_00: And it's because so little has been done and researched on this topic.
- 19:36SPEAKER_00: I think because there was hair dye, and that was uh, you know, a decent solution.
- 19:41SPEAKER_00: And 75% of women dye their hair, 38% of men dye their hair.
- 19:45SPEAKER_00: Like a lot of people are dying their hair.
- 19:47SPEAKER_00: And we're not saying to stop dye your hair or like that never dye your hair again, but that can't be the only solution and the only thing that we can do for aging hair.
- 19:57SPEAKER_01: Exactly.
- 19:58SPEAKER_01: No, and also not to mention, I mean, hair dye, yeah, okay.
- 20:01SPEAKER_01: We all, I think all of us at some point have used hair dye, you know, but yeah, also it can become very costly very quickly.
- 20:08SPEAKER_01: You know, if you're going to a salon and you're getting your hair done, like it's very costly.
- 20:12SPEAKER_01: Not to mention there's very harsh chemicals in a lot of the dyes.
- 20:16SPEAKER_01: I mean, you can there are some brands that are really doing it right, but I think there's a lot more that aren't.
- 20:21SPEAKER_01: And, you know, when I look at that from the science perspective and the health perspective, it's just doesn't make sense to me that we're blindly trusting that okay, this yeah, it covers up what you consider to be a problem, but the long-term health risks are there, you know, you can't ignore that uh with hair dye.
- 20:37SPEAKER_01: So, you know, it's a lot of different, I think, factors that play into this idea of preventative hair care, you know, and why it's important for consumers to get behind.
- 20:46SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think definitely beauty and overall, from the way I see it, it is shifting towards this more preventative approach.
- 20:54SPEAKER_01: You know, I see it across the board and I just think it's it's high time that all of us, you know, as consumers, we take more pride and take more control of our health, you know, and realize.
- 21:05SPEAKER_01: I mean, for example, I'll tell you, Alison, like for me, I have an autoimmune disease, Hashimoto's.
- 21:10SPEAKER_01: And oh yeah, when I got when I got Hashimoto's, yeah, it's it's crazy how much it does because I didn't realize, you know, even having a medical background, there's a lot of autoimmune disorders.
- 21:19SPEAKER_01: And I'm speaking about this because a lot of our listeners are women, you know, and women are more prone to get autoimmune disorders.
- 21:26SPEAKER_01: But we don't understand how much can happen because of this one problem that you have, you know, and it it leads to all these downstream, maybe not as like drastic, you know, impact on your health, like something that's much worse.
- 21:41SPEAKER_01: But there's still like things you don't want to deal with, you know what I mean?
- 21:44SPEAKER_01: And graying hair, for me, I noticed my hair did start graying more, you know, after I was diagnosed and I understood that I have this and it's a progressive disease.
- 21:55SPEAKER_01: And, you know, I I did notice there was a change in that.
- 21:58SPEAKER_01: So I just wonder from that.
- 22:00SPEAKER_01: Perspective that how much is happening, you know, like based on our comorbidities, you know what I mean?
- 22:06SPEAKER_01: What is that doing for our overall you know, hair health, our beauty, our skin health, all of that stuff.
- 22:12SPEAKER_01: So it makes sense that we use these OTC options as adjunct therapies, you know, to to what we're dealing with, you know.
- 22:19SPEAKER_01: And so I'm really on that bandwagon of really believing in this stuff.
- 22:23SPEAKER_01: And and I think that people need to understand that, you know, if you want something to change, like you have to go and find solutions.
- 22:29SPEAKER_01: You have to.
- 22:30SPEAKER_01: Medicine doesn't have the answers, you know, all the time.
- 22:33SPEAKER_01: We're trying, but we don't, you know, just yet.
- 22:37SPEAKER_00: No, totally.
- 22:38SPEAKER_00: And I think that's why we appreciated sort of my, you know, my parents' medical and scientific perspective and background and rigor around the products that we're making, but also that's why we look to Eastern medicine.
- 22:50SPEAKER_00: Of you know, Western medicine doesn't have all the solutions, and I think they need to work together and solutions need to be combined, and that's like why we're we did the supplement and the serum, and we're seeing that's the most effective when you combine inside out and outside in.
- 23:06SPEAKER_00: And yeah, I think it's just being open to finding different solutions and and realizing that not everything is like a magical cure, right?
- 23:16SPEAKER_00: Like it's it's so funny.
- 23:17SPEAKER_00: Uh when it's like this is not magic, this is science, right?
- 23:20SPEAKER_00: And like we we try to be very clear of like, you know, the sort of showing before and afters of like, okay, this is what you can expect.
- 23:29SPEAKER_00: We have these great before and afters we're releasing on the clinical study where we see the the placebo versus active, and you can see the placebo, like there is more gray hair.
- 23:38SPEAKER_00: Like we get asked all the time, what will happen if I stop using it or if I don't use it?
- 23:41SPEAKER_00: It's like you will get more gray hair over time.
- 23:44SPEAKER_00: It's actually more than 10% was higher than we expected people to get.
- 23:48SPEAKER_00: And even a placebo, as you know, can sometimes even make a difference.
- 23:52SPEAKER_00: So can you imagine if it was people were not doing anything, it would be even less than that.
- 23:57SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I think it's all it's all still new.
- 24:01SPEAKER_00: And I'm really excited about where the research could continue to go and the solutions that we hopefully will just continue to provide and provide better ones and more effective ones.
- 24:11SPEAKER_00: We're always trying to research new ingredients and new solutions.
- 24:15SPEAKER_00: And yeah, that's that's on us to make sure that we're doing this in the best way that we can, given the technology we have now, but hopefully better technology in the future.
- 24:25SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 24:26SPEAKER_01: And I think you brought up such an interesting point when you discussed the the merger of this, you know, Eastern medicine philosophy with what we have in the West, because I think now more than ever, we're seeing that there is such untapped potential in Eastern remedies that have been utilized for centuries.
- 24:43SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think definitely there's been uh, you know, a spotlight that has been put on, you know, Eastern like Chinese medicine, whether that's Ayurveda, Chinese medicine, all of these different theories.
- 24:54SPEAKER_01: And, you know, there's a lot of stuff there that can be utilized that we haven't understood in Western medicine because unfortunately in the West, everything we do is based on, you know, like the technologies that we create.
- 25:06SPEAKER_01: You know, that's it's I remember one of my mentors saying that a long time ago.
- 25:09SPEAKER_01: He was like, if you ever practice like, you know, global medicine, you know, and you go anywhere in the world, you'll notice that no one else is doing what the West is doing because the West relies on our machines, you know, we rely on them.
- 25:22SPEAKER_01: And in the East, it's more about we have they have a more holistic view, I think, that they look at the human body and what's going on.
- 25:30SPEAKER_01: And so there's a lot of untapped potential there.
- 25:32SPEAKER_01: So the fact that you guys have utilized some of that and really brought it in, you know, into your products, that's very fascinating as well.
- 25:40SPEAKER_00: Yeah, no, that's that's so interesting.
- 25:42SPEAKER_00: I mean, I this is sort of a non sequitur, like sort of related topic, but I'm constantly fascinated by SPF and that the fact that the FDA hasn't approved these new ingredients here in the US.
- 25:53SPEAKER_00: And so we're stuck with these like white zinc white, very like hard to blend.
- 25:59SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, I'm just like trying to get my kids to put sunscreen on, and they're like, mom, this is horrible.
- 26:03SPEAKER_00: Like, I can't, I and I'm like, oh, you're gonna have kick cancer and like wrinkles, you can't, you have to put it on.
- 26:08SPEAKER_00: And then and we see in eastern cultures they have amazing new technology.
- 26:14SPEAKER_00: I'm buying this Biore SPF off of Amazon that is like water.
- 26:20SPEAKER_00: I mean, you just put it on.
- 26:21SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, it is the great.
- 26:23SPEAKER_00: I have bought so many, I should be like an ambassador for this brand.
- 26:27SPEAKER_00: I have like told, I talk about it constantly.
- 26:30SPEAKER_00: And it's big exactly to your point, it's because they've had the ability and the like they're not constrained by these sort of limitations that have found these new technologies to make SPF enjoy.
- 26:43SPEAKER_00: My kids are like, Yeah, I'll put that on.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: It's great.
- 26:45SPEAKER_00: I love it, it feels so good, and that's what we should be using.
- 26:48SPEAKER_00: Like, that makes it so much easier to do these proactive measures.
- 26:52SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, it's yeah.
- 26:53SPEAKER_01: No, I think that's that's such a good point.
- 26:55SPEAKER_01: And I I I also think it's because, you know, in the east, there is a more open mindset about these things.
- 27:01SPEAKER_01: I mean, I think we just don't, we're not used to it, our culture isn't used to it in the West.
- 27:05SPEAKER_01: So, like, yeah, there's a lot.
- 27:07SPEAKER_01: I mean, there's a lot of innovation happening over there, and I think we just need to get kind of up to speed with that.
- 27:12SPEAKER_01: You know, I know what you mean about the the sunscreens, it's very hard.
- 27:15SPEAKER_01: We just had our awards and it was very difficult taking our sunscreen options, you know.
- 27:21SPEAKER_01: So yeah, it's a there's a lot to be discovered.
- 27:24SPEAKER_01: But I mean, I think, you know, coming back to a ray and and what you guys are doing, I think one of my questions is definitely about this preventative piece that we were talking about, you know.
- 27:32SPEAKER_01: So, what do you recommend to consumers?
- 27:34SPEAKER_01: Like if someone's brand new to the line, what would you recommend that they start off with, you know, just to set them up themselves up to really test it, you know, and try it.
- 27:45SPEAKER_01: Yes.
- 27:45SPEAKER_00: No, I love this.
- 27:46SPEAKER_00: And we're actually trying to rethink like how we guide consumers on our website to the right products because we do have now nine products because we're in retail, we're in credo, we just launched an erowan.
- 27:57SPEAKER_00: So we have to, you know, have options and and give people like fit into their routines.
- 28:02SPEAKER_00: But I'd say, you know, if you're less than 25% gray, and even if you're a little bit more than 25% gray, but still in the man manageable space, start with the supplement for sure.
- 28:13SPEAKER_00: It's sort of the baseline everyday.
- 28:15SPEAKER_00: Take this easy to integrate into your routine.
- 28:18SPEAKER_00: It's vegan, it's gluten-free, it just has really good nutrients in general.
- 28:22SPEAKER_00: Start there, and then I would always recommend adding the serum.
- 28:25SPEAKER_00: It's called to the root, it's our topical daily serum that's very lightweight, it's no oil, no fragrance, actually.
- 28:32SPEAKER_00: It's just it's super absorbent, adds volume, actually.
- 28:35SPEAKER_00: So it's like kind of a styling tool as well.
- 28:38SPEAKER_00: But use that daily.
- 28:39SPEAKER_00: But if you're somebody who's like, you know what, I'm not going to use a daily serum, it's too hard to integrate into my routine.
- 28:44SPEAKER_00: Well, then use the shampoo.
- 28:45SPEAKER_00: You can integrate that into your lifestyle that has it's uh the it's called the melanine complex.
- 28:50SPEAKER_00: It's our blend of and it's patent pending of our antioxidants and peptides.
- 28:55SPEAKER_00: But use that and integrate it into your shampoo regimen.
- 28:58SPEAKER_00: And then it's the other products are sort of around lifestyle factors.
- 29:02SPEAKER_00: So you you're in UV a lot, you're outside, you live in a climate that has a lot of sun exposure.
- 29:08SPEAKER_00: Use our UV mist, which is it's called live-in mist.
- 29:10SPEAKER_00: It's a UV protection and a detangler.
- 29:13SPEAKER_00: You do dye your hair.
- 29:15SPEAKER_00: Okay, well, we have a post-hair dye, the first ever, it never existed.
- 29:18SPEAKER_00: We just launched it in May.
- 29:20SPEAKER_00: Post-hair dye scalp serum that will it's been clinically proven to repair hair and help with the oxidative stress on the scalp post-hair dye in 15 minutes.
- 29:30SPEAKER_00: It typically takes about three days for your scalp to recover after hair dye.
- 29:34SPEAKER_00: And so integrate that product.
- 29:35SPEAKER_00: It also has the melanine complex as well.
- 29:38SPEAKER_00: Do you, you know, use a dry shampoo because you're not shampooing every day.
- 29:42SPEAKER_00: Well, we have a dry shampoo, it has a dehydrated melanine complex.
- 29:46SPEAKER_00: Do you have do you heat style a bunch?
- 29:48SPEAKER_00: Well, we have a vegan collagen, clinically proven heat styler that up to 450 degrees protects your hair.
- 29:55SPEAKER_00: That doesn't go on your scalp.
- 29:56SPEAKER_00: So that's not helping with the gray, but it's helping with the other attributes of aging hair where it gets coarser and drier and duller.
- 30:04SPEAKER_00: And so that's I'm like, did I cover all of our products?
- 30:08SPEAKER_00: I think well we have scrub too.
- 30:10SPEAKER_00: So you know, if you like a detox and your hair, you have like a grease your scalp or buildup, we have an amazing, it's a more of a chemical exfoliant rather than it doesn't have like sandy, gritty feel.
- 30:22SPEAKER_00: It it's really a great detoxifier.
- 30:24SPEAKER_00: And that also has the melanine complex.
- 30:26SPEAKER_00: So as you can see, we're just trying, you know, start with if you're gonna buy only one product, do get the supplement.
- 30:32SPEAKER_00: If if you could please just buy a topical in conjunction with that, buy one of our topical products to add on to that.
- 30:39SPEAKER_00: And daily, that's the biggest key is it has to be consistent.
- 30:42SPEAKER_00: You have to keep using it on a daily basis.
- 30:45SPEAKER_01: That's awesome.
- 30:45SPEAKER_01: So is it is it meant for any specific hair type or is it pretty much like good across the board?
- 30:51SPEAKER_01: Hair types.
- 30:51SPEAKER_00: Yeah, so we were very proud in this clinical study too.
- 30:54SPEAKER_00: We we did a very diverse group of people in certain in terms of ethnicities and hair types.
- 31:00SPEAKER_00: We wanted to make sure that we were seeing it works on all hair types.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: It does.
- 31:04SPEAKER_00: All of our products are color safe.
- 31:06SPEAKER_00: So you can, if you dye your hair, you can use these in conjunction with dyeing your hair.
- 31:11SPEAKER_00: They're all clean ingredients.
- 31:13SPEAKER_00: That's why we're in credo.
- 31:14SPEAKER_00: We're made sure that we were very conscious of the ingredients that we're putting on to the scalp.
- 31:19SPEAKER_00: Yeah, and so we're we're trying to be not like you can't be everything for everybody, but we're we're trying to give solutions for as many people as we can.
- 31:28SPEAKER_00: It's men and women, it's a unisex brand, so it works for everybody.
- 31:33SPEAKER_00: The scent in our a few of our products do have scents like the shampoo and conditioner.
- 31:38SPEAKER_00: It's a very like gender neutral, it's nature-based.
- 31:42SPEAKER_00: So it's a cedar sage scent.
- 31:44SPEAKER_00: So it's very subtle.
- 31:45SPEAKER_00: Oh my god, now I just sound like an infomercial.
- 31:47SPEAKER_00: I'm so sorry.
- 31:48SPEAKER_01: No, no, no, you don't, you don't.
- 31:49SPEAKER_01: It actually, I know I know what you mean.
- 31:51SPEAKER_01: I've tried the products, they're they're lovely.
- 31:52SPEAKER_01: And I mean, I was gonna ask ask you actually for our male audience because I think male, you know, men just don't get uh addressed enough when it comes to you know uh these products.
- 32:02SPEAKER_01: But I think for beard solutions, could we use some of the products?
- 32:07SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 32:07SPEAKER_00: All of them, yeah, yep.
- 32:08SPEAKER_00: So the serum was designed to be used on the beard.
- 32:11SPEAKER_00: Again, no oil, no scent.
- 32:14SPEAKER_00: It it it's our manufacturer is a clean manufacturer in Northern California, and they're they're actually skincare experts as well.
- 32:20SPEAKER_00: So we designed the products to be used like skincare, and you can use the shampoo even on beards.
- 32:27SPEAKER_00: Um, my husband uses the scrub on his beard.
- 32:30SPEAKER_00: He loves, oh my gosh, when we run out of scrub, he's like, You've gotta get more of this product.
- 32:35SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, all of those topicals you can use on the beard.
- 32:38SPEAKER_00: And the beard actually goes gray first, it's it's before the head hair, and beard hairs grow faster, the white beard hairs grow faster, so they're more noticeable.
- 32:48SPEAKER_00: So that is a very sensitive topic.
- 32:50SPEAKER_00: I am in our household.
- 32:52SPEAKER_00: It's it's very sensitive.
- 32:53SPEAKER_00: So my husband has maintained been maintaining his dark beard for the last five years.
- 32:58SPEAKER_00: He's like one of our big biggest advocates.
- 33:00SPEAKER_01: So that's awesome.
- 33:01SPEAKER_01: That's really cool.
- 33:02SPEAKER_01: No, I love that because honestly, like I know that must be very challenging for men is when your beard starts to gray.
- 33:08SPEAKER_01: There's you know, yeah, I know there's dyes and stuff out there, but they always look so fake.
- 33:12SPEAKER_01: I feel like whenever someone dyes their beard or their mustache, I'm like, I can tell that you dyed it.
- 33:17SPEAKER_02: I know.
- 33:18SPEAKER_00: I know.
- 33:21SPEAKER_00: And like men's hair too.
- 33:23SPEAKER_00: I mean, I know 38% of men dye hair, which I was surprised by that stat is higher than I would have expected, but it is kind of noticeable.
- 33:30SPEAKER_00: You and I don't know why that is it that it's more noticeable in when men dye their hair than women.
- 33:35SPEAKER_00: I guess maybe we've just sort of per perfected the art.
- 33:38SPEAKER_00: But I will one call out I just do want to make given you know, Jay is a a stylist, a hairstylist, and we always advocate for like if you're gonna dye your hair, go to a professional, go to a salon, go to a stylist.
- 33:51SPEAKER_00: And the reason being that so there is an increased risk of cancer linked to at-home hair dye that has a study came out in 2019, and it's for both men and women.
- 34:00SPEAKER_00: They found it in and both types of breast cancer and also oh my gosh, why am I blanking on the cancer for men?
- 34:07SPEAKER_00: Oh my now, now I sound so stupid, but there's a what does the men have that women don't have besides prostate cancer.
- 34:15SPEAKER_00: Thank you, thank you.
- 34:16SPEAKER_00: There you go, prostate cancer and breast cancer, and it was at-home hair dye.
- 34:20SPEAKER_00: And the the reason sort of we think around that is the ingredients, but also you're in a confined area.
- 34:27SPEAKER_00: Sometimes you're not wearing gloves, you're putting it on for too long, you're rubbing it into your whole head, you're rubbing it into your scalp.
- 34:34SPEAKER_00: You don't need to be doing those things.
- 34:35SPEAKER_00: So going to a stylus, you can get a much more precise application, you can use foils to protect your scalp, you can use a much lesser of a developer.
- 34:46SPEAKER_00: So it's uh the the payload of that oxidative stress and the combustion is much less, and they can do it for less time.
- 34:53SPEAKER_00: You can do semi-permanence.
- 34:54SPEAKER_00: There's there's a lot of ways that you can do it with a professional to make it a bit more healthy of a solution.
- 35:02SPEAKER_00: So I'm a huge advocate of go to a professional.
- 35:05SPEAKER_01: Yeah, no, I am too.
- 35:06SPEAKER_01: Um, I think that, you know, and that's I mean, it it's one of the big things like at home hair dye.
- 35:12SPEAKER_01: I remember like my mother started using it for like I think a month, and I immediately was like, No, you will not use this mom.
- 35:20SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I I hear you there.
- 35:22SPEAKER_01: It's something that you have to be very careful of, you know, and also hair dyes, like a lot of things are not regulated, so we don't know what's inside half the time.
- 35:30SPEAKER_01: It's very important for that.
- 35:31SPEAKER_00: It is scary, and and go as you know, and try to do it as frequent as you need to, but not too frequently, right?
- 35:38SPEAKER_00: Like try to extend the time between it's just better for your hair too in general.
- 35:43SPEAKER_00: I think there's just like these small adjustments that we can make that add up to a big impact.
- 35:49SPEAKER_00: And yeah, it's I think there you just have to find that balance in life between health and beauty, right?
- 35:55SPEAKER_00: Like, I mean, everybody wants to look and feel good, and everybody deserves to.
- 35:59SPEAKER_01: So no, I completely agree.
- 36:01SPEAKER_01: I completely I love what you guys are doing, and I love that this is now an option, you know, in the hair care space.
- 36:07SPEAKER_01: I really do.
- 36:08SPEAKER_01: I think it's it really speaks volumes about how far we've come, you know, in terms of just the technology, the innovation that's available in OTC products.
- 36:18SPEAKER_01: I mean, I am such a firm believer and like I feel like there's so much innovation in the beauty space, you know, when it comes to science, and there's so much here.
- 36:27SPEAKER_01: And you know, we all day, like especially if you're looking at like scientific literature or projects, you're like, oh, you know, there's all these problems, but then when you can get so much inspiration for me at least, when I look at it as a scientist, I'm like, I can I look at the beauty space and I'm like, there's so much going on, you know, and it's so much can be applied to like modern medicine as well.
- 36:46SPEAKER_01: So it's very fascinating, you know, to see what you guys are doing.
- 36:49SPEAKER_01: Yeah, and I really encourage anybody out there, I really mean this in the you know, when it comes to like your health and anything preventative, like invest in that, like for real.
- 36:59SPEAKER_01: That is the next frontier of all medicine, in my opinion.
- 37:03SPEAKER_01: You know, at the end of the day, if you can help your body along and the the methods are tried, true, and proven.
- 37:09SPEAKER_01: I mean, you guys have clinical studies to back your products.
- 37:12SPEAKER_01: I mean, if you know that some a brand is doing that and they have the homework and they have the data to support what they're doing, get on that, you know, get on that bandwagon and do it and and and try it for yourself because sometimes we want to combat things when it's too late.
- 37:26SPEAKER_01: I think that's the human nature.
- 37:28SPEAKER_01: Like we want to, you know, fix it when it's too late.
- 37:30SPEAKER_01: But preventative medicine is worth that, you know, that's the truth of it.
- 37:34SPEAKER_01: Everybody in card, you know, any cardiologist, any surgeon would tell you that, you know, about your health.
- 37:40SPEAKER_01: It's like the but more you can do early, the better it's gonna be later.
- 37:43SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I I think it's it's a big topic, and we need to really pay attention.
- 37:49SPEAKER_01: Um Alison, I want to ask you for some advice actually, because I know there's a lot of budding entrepreneurs in our audience as well, you know, and and I know it's been a journey to create a brand, and it's always a journey.
- 38:00SPEAKER_01: So any advice you can offer them about you know going into this realm of entrepreneurship and being successful.
- 38:07SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh, well, I hopefully this is successful.
- 38:10SPEAKER_00: I don't want to, I feel like we're we'll always have so much more to aspire to, but yeah, I mean, this is definitely not my first rodeo.
- 38:17SPEAKER_00: This is the third startup I've done in the 12th company I've been involved with.
- 38:21SPEAKER_00: And I think a lot of what I learned is actually from what didn't work in past uh experiences and companies, and I think it's paying attention to those things.
- 38:30SPEAKER_00: Like you you can learn from your failures really well and and sort of being humble to realize, okay, I like that was not good.
- 38:38SPEAKER_00: I didn't like I should have done that differently or made that mistake.
- 38:40SPEAKER_00: And I and I think it's just listening to your gut.
- 38:43SPEAKER_00: I think that's really important.
- 38:44SPEAKER_00: I I got the advice once, you know, if you found out, if you have an idea for something and you want to start something and you found out tomorrow that somebody else did it, would you be devastated?
- 38:55SPEAKER_00: Like that's a barometer, I think, of understanding if you should pursue something.
- 39:01SPEAKER_00: And that was what this was for me.
- 39:03SPEAKER_00: Like I was like, I if I have to do this for myself, but if this exists, if somebody else does it, I will be so mad that I didn't at least try it and tried to do it.
- 39:13SPEAKER_00: So yeah, I think it's really understanding, you know, your capabilities, surrounding yourself with amazing people who can help elevate what you bring to the table and and listening to yourself and being honest.
- 39:26SPEAKER_00: I'm oh my gosh, I'm I'm like the most honest person, which is probably my biggest strength and my biggest weakiness at the same point.
- 39:34SPEAKER_00: But I think it's like you have to be your authentic self, otherwise it's so exhausting to try to be somebody, somebody other than yourself.
- 39:42SPEAKER_00: But knowing that you bring a lot of great value and you have probably great ideas and and can do great things, and it's just listening to that and and working, working hard too.
- 39:52SPEAKER_00: I mean, that is cannot be undervalued.
- 39:55SPEAKER_00: It's so hard to, it's so important to work hard.
- 39:57SPEAKER_01: I love that.
- 39:58SPEAKER_01: No, it's solid advice, and I I really hope, you know, if anyone is tuning in, you want to go on this journey of being an entrepreneur, please, you know, take that to heart.
- 40:07SPEAKER_01: And I I really admire entrepreneurship.
- 40:09SPEAKER_01: I think so much comes out about a person and their capacity as an individual, you know, in the journey of being an entrepreneur.
- 40:18SPEAKER_01: So yeah, I just a lot of respect to anybody, you know, out there who's doing it or trying or wants to do it.
- 40:24SPEAKER_01: I mean, you know, it's a lot, it's a lot.
- 40:26SPEAKER_00: So it is a lot.
- 40:27SPEAKER_00: I mean, it is not for the faint of heart, I will say.
- 40:30SPEAKER_00: So like have a great, you know, support structure in place.
- 40:35SPEAKER_00: I have a very involved and supportive husband.
- 40:38SPEAKER_00: I'm in a great family, and I think you know, this is a such a journey, and it takes a village and it's uh sometimes very lonely.
- 40:46SPEAKER_00: I I'm glad that I have a co-founder.
- 40:48SPEAKER_00: I think that's really important too.
- 40:50SPEAKER_00: But it's yeah, it takes a lot of stamina and perseverance, and it's not for everybody.
- 40:57SPEAKER_00: And it's okay too.
- 40:59SPEAKER_00: Like if it's recognizing, oh my gosh, never mind, like that is not that is not for me.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: I cannot do that.
- 41:03SPEAKER_00: That's fine.
- 41:04SPEAKER_00: And I think there's even interesting ways you can be an entrepreneur, and it doesn't mean just like quitting your job and starting something from scratch and creating nothing something from nothing.
- 41:14SPEAKER_00: You could be an entrepreneur within a corporation and creating a new, you know, product or idea or concept within your corporate environment.
- 41:21SPEAKER_00: So I think there's also very creative ways of becoming a quote unquote entrepreneur.
- 41:27SPEAKER_00: It does isn't there's not just one path, one way.
- 41:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, absolutely.
- 41:31SPEAKER_01: Absolutely.
- 41:32SPEAKER_01: I agree with you.
- 41:33SPEAKER_01: And you know, I guess my roundup question is is there anything new on the horizon for a Ray Gray?
- 41:38SPEAKER_00: Oh my gosh.
- 41:39SPEAKER_00: Well, this clinical study that I already dropped the bomb for, but that's coming out next week.
- 41:44SPEAKER_00: We're so excited about that.
- 41:45SPEAKER_00: And that just took a lot of energy and effort, and I'm so so thrilled with the results.
- 41:51SPEAKER_00: And then we are, I'm trying to think of like what can I tell you?
- 41:54SPEAKER_00: We're working on another one one product right now.
- 41:57SPEAKER_00: It's not like it's actually more on the conditioning end of things.
- 42:01SPEAKER_00: So we're excited about launching that next year.
- 42:04SPEAKER_00: But yeah, there that's really the the what we have going right now.
- 42:08SPEAKER_00: Erewan launching soon.
- 42:10SPEAKER_00: It's in, I don't think it's in all stores yet, but it's in some stores, so that's very exciting.
- 42:15SPEAKER_00: And just constantly looking at new ingredients.
- 42:17SPEAKER_00: That's another thing that we're just always, always doing and trying to make the product better.
- 42:22SPEAKER_00: So you know, always keep your eyes posted for that.
- 42:25SPEAKER_00: This that's my number one priority is continuing to improve and that's awesome.
- 42:31SPEAKER_01: RD, that's where it's at.
- 42:32SPEAKER_01: Yeah, oh yes.
- 42:34SPEAKER_01: That's the innovation part.
- 42:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah, you gotta, I mean, I love that though.
- 42:37SPEAKER_01: You gotta be innovative and and stay current.
- 42:39SPEAKER_01: And I know a lot of times, you know, it can be difficult if you know people usually have like one great formula and they just stop trying after that.
- 42:48SPEAKER_01: That's like no, you gotta keep going, you know.
- 42:50SPEAKER_01: So I love that.

- 43:07SPEAKER_01: If you're not already doing things to help your health along, you should, you know, and I think with graying hair, take it from me.
- 43:14SPEAKER_01: When you when you wake up, you know, and all of a sudden realize like I have more gray hair in my on my scalp than I do, like, you know, colored hair.
- 43:23SPEAKER_01: It's kind of like a lot, you know, to deal with.
