- 0:50Speaker 3: that other ship. I am your host, of course you
- 0:52Speaker 3: know me by now. We're seven failings and I have
- 0:56Speaker 3: one of my closest friends joining me tonight, and we're
- 0:59Speaker 3: gonna get into all things life, love and all that
- 1:01Speaker 3: other shit. Y'all know how I like to do. I
- 1:04Speaker 3: like to left them my guest, that is, introduce themselves.
- 1:08Speaker 3: So what's that?
- 1:10Speaker 2: Ash Hey, how you doing good?
- 1:13Speaker 3: Good? Good? Thank you for coming to Kicking with me
- 1:15Speaker 3: telling people who you are and what you do.
- 1:18Speaker 2: So I am Ashley aka Bella Bella. I'm an author,
- 1:25Speaker 2: a life coach, and some other things that shall remain
- 1:30Speaker 2: nameless and quiet.
- 1:31Speaker 3: Y'all secret to today. Mm hmm, but I love it.
- 1:35Speaker 3: I love it. So we're gonna get into these these
- 1:38Speaker 3: topics of the of the of the show for the season,
- 1:42Speaker 3: the life, the love and all of the ship. It
- 1:45Speaker 3: has been great thus far. But we are in the
- 1:48Speaker 3: season finale of season seven, so you already know we
- 1:51Speaker 3: got to give the people something that's gonna keep them
- 1:53Speaker 3: ready for season eight.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Let's get it. Let's get it.
- 1:58Speaker 3: I always ask this question, and this has been the
- 2:00Speaker 3: question of the season, because I always have a season question. Right,
- 2:06Speaker 3: if you had to give a definition for life, what
- 2:13Speaker 3: would it be? And why?
- 2:16Speaker 2: A definition for life? That's a saucy question life. I
- 2:23Speaker 2: almost want to say, I don't.
- 2:26Speaker 3: I don't.
- 2:27Speaker 2: I don't have one for that.
- 2:28Speaker 3: That's answer.
- 2:29Speaker 2: That's your answer.
- 2:32Speaker 3: M hm.
- 2:35Speaker 2: A definition for life? You come out the gates swinging.
- 2:39Speaker 3: Huh. You want me to tell you what mine is?
- 2:42Speaker 2: I want you to tell me what yours is, because
- 2:45Speaker 2: what I'm thinking, you don't want it.
- 2:50Speaker 3: My definition of life at this moment in time is
- 2:54Speaker 3: peace mm hmm, our intention, our purpose mm hmmm. So yeah,
- 3:04Speaker 3: that would be my top three. If I had to
- 3:07Speaker 3: describe the life.
- 3:10Speaker 2: That falls in line with one of the things that
- 3:13Speaker 2: I was thinking, and I would actually say abundance.
- 3:19Speaker 3: Ooh like that, I would say abundance.
- 3:22Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, I like that. That's what I'm That's what
- 3:26Speaker 2: I'm feeling right now, That's what I'm what I'm thinking.
- 3:28Speaker 2: That's what I want for everybody life. I want abundance
- 3:33Speaker 2: in life for everybody.
- 3:35Speaker 3: Okay, so I'm playing. I'm gonna play Devil's advocate right
- 3:38Speaker 3: now because you say you want that for everybody. You know,
- 3:40Speaker 3: we like to pour into people as life coaches and
- 3:43Speaker 3: all the things. What would you say to someone who's listening,
- 3:46Speaker 3: who has been going through life trying to bring everybody
- 3:50Speaker 3: with them on their purpose or their healing journey, knowing
- 3:54Speaker 3: that everybody can go, What would you say to them
- 3:57Speaker 3: about that everybody can't go?
- 4:00Speaker 2: I would tell them that sometimes you have to leave
- 4:04Speaker 2: people behind in order to grow. True enough, everybody cannot
- 4:09Speaker 2: go with you. Sometimes people weigh you down and you
- 4:13Speaker 2: don't even realize that you're being weighed down or weighed
- 4:17Speaker 2: down or pulled down by those people and their I
- 4:22Speaker 2: don't even want to say their negativity, but sometimes look
- 4:27Speaker 2: good and feel good for you, But in essence, all
- 4:31Speaker 2: they're doing is weighing you down.
- 4:35Speaker 3: Can't already know what happens when you get laid weighed down.
- 4:38Speaker 3: You can't fly. You can't.
- 4:41Speaker 2: You can't excel, you can't move, you can't ascend, you
- 4:44Speaker 2: can't do anything. All you can do is sink. That's
- 4:48Speaker 2: all you do.
- 4:50Speaker 3: And I think that it's okay to leave people where
- 4:52Speaker 3: they are, especially if you're moving forward and they're just
- 4:54Speaker 3: still in the process of learning or finding out who
- 4:57Speaker 3: they are are discovering their purpose. Okay. But if you
- 5:02Speaker 3: try to bring somebody along who is not there on
- 5:05Speaker 3: that particular same frequency I should say, vibrating to that capacity,
- 5:11Speaker 3: some resentment is gonna happen. Who some arguments gonna happen.
- 5:18Speaker 2: The arguments are definitely gonna happen.
- 5:21Speaker 3: Some some calling folks and talking shit behind your back
- 5:24Speaker 3: is gonna happen.
- 5:27Speaker 2: That's gonna happen.
- 5:29Speaker 3: I've learned a hard way that not everybody's gonna be
- 5:31Speaker 3: happy because you're growing, Okay, it's because they know the
- 5:38Speaker 3: old you, and so they're used to you being in
- 5:41Speaker 3: stuck in that and we're gonna get into all the
- 5:44Speaker 3: other ship and that falls into one of the questions
- 5:46Speaker 3: that I have for that. But yeah, I think that
- 5:50Speaker 3: it's okay to grow. I mean, that's the whole point
- 5:52Speaker 3: of of living, right, You want to grow, change, and
- 5:56Speaker 3: evolve into the best version of yourself.
- 5:59Speaker 2: But not everybody wants that. Not everybody wants to grow.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Not everybody wants to grow with you, nor do they
- 6:07Speaker 2: want to grow for themselves or better themselves. Some people
- 6:11Speaker 2: are okay with being right where they are and being
- 6:14Speaker 2: stuck in that spot because that's comfortable for them.
- 6:20Speaker 3: Believe that though.
- 6:21Speaker 2: I think it's lack of accountability. I think it's lack
- 6:25Speaker 2: of motivation. I think it is fear. I think that
- 6:33Speaker 2: it is also just probably just like I said, just fear,
- 6:39Speaker 2: just flat out fear of not knowing, you know, fear
- 6:42Speaker 2: of the unknown. You know, I don't know what's ahead.
- 6:45Speaker 2: I'm comfortable right here in this spot because I know
- 6:48Speaker 2: what's right here. Yeah, I don't want to ascend any
- 6:51Speaker 2: further than that because I don't know what's over there.
- 6:54Speaker 2: Yeah I don't know what I'm getting into. Yeah, I
- 6:57Speaker 2: get it.
- 6:58Speaker 3: I get it. And and you know, there's no growth
- 7:01Speaker 3: in the comfort zone. We already know that, we already know.
- 7:04Speaker 3: Come about to get into your business a little bit.
- 7:07Speaker 2: That's not Go ahead, girl, Go ahead.
- 7:11Speaker 3: Has been one of the biggest life lessons that you've
- 7:16Speaker 3: learned along your journey that you still carry from day
- 7:20Speaker 3: to day.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Hmm, that's a good one, I would say one of
- 7:31Speaker 2: my I guess an old friend always told me, to
- 7:39Speaker 2: those whom were given much, much is expected. And I
- 7:45Speaker 2: have carried that with me, Oh my gosh since high school,
- 7:53Speaker 2: and I have lived by that. I've I always say
- 7:57Speaker 2: that to myself, even to this day. I still say
- 8:00Speaker 2: that to myself, and I think that it's it's important
- 8:06Speaker 2: because it keeps me humble, and it keeps me grounded.
- 8:12Speaker 2: It keeps me in a space of knowing that, you know,
- 8:17Speaker 2: I was blessed to have both parents. I was blessed
- 8:22Speaker 2: to have, you know, not have any real issues growing
- 8:28Speaker 2: up that would have hindered me from doing the things
- 8:31Speaker 2: that I wanted to do, from you know, going to school,
- 8:34Speaker 2: from you know, having a successful job and things like that.
- 8:39Speaker 2: So I still operate from that place of, you know,
- 8:45Speaker 2: thinking and knowing that much is expected from me.
- 8:50Speaker 3: I like that, you know. I was thinking about this
- 8:52Speaker 3: question when it came to me, and I was like,
- 8:54Speaker 3: I want to ask Ashley this question. But it also
- 8:57Speaker 3: made me go back to something that my daddy told
- 8:59Speaker 3: me and I was thirteen years old, and I asked, Dave,
- 9:02Speaker 3: you remember you told me this and he was like, no,
- 9:05Speaker 3: I said that. I said, yeah, but I think he
- 9:07Speaker 3: said it as a joke, but I took it as Okay,
- 9:12Speaker 3: this is something that I need to hang on to
- 9:13Speaker 3: because my dad don't really talk that much, but when
- 9:16Speaker 3: he do talk, he has something to say. If that
- 9:19Speaker 3: makes sense to somebody, somebody catch that tomorrows next week. Anyway.
- 9:24Speaker 3: He told me when I was thirteen years old, don't
- 9:25Speaker 3: be afraid to be your weird self. He said, keep
- 9:29Speaker 3: you weird. But I like it. I was like, dam and, Dad,
- 9:32Speaker 3: you come me weird. He said, no, don't take it
- 9:34Speaker 3: like a bad thing. I like that You're weird. You
- 9:36Speaker 3: know who you are. You don't try to address or
- 9:38Speaker 3: fit in, so just be who you are, be your
- 9:41Speaker 3: weird self. I like that. And I was like, Okay,
- 9:44Speaker 3: I've never took weird as a as a term for
- 9:48Speaker 3: myself because we do have some more that Groun'm weird
- 9:52Speaker 3: out here, okay, but I've never taken it as a
- 9:56Speaker 3: negative term for myself.
- 9:58Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 10:00Speaker 3: I always embrace the the my uniqueness that's as chicolleg
- 10:03Speaker 3: because ain't gonna say weird. But yeah, my daddy told
- 10:05Speaker 3: me you weird and just be your weirdest little self.
- 10:09Speaker 2: I think that's cute though.
- 10:11Speaker 3: I mean, here, I was the kid that nobody knew
- 10:13Speaker 3: they had because I always was under bed or in
- 10:16Speaker 3: the closet or something. Folks came to the house, I
- 10:18Speaker 3: was a ghost.
- 10:19Speaker 2: Yeah, you you were doing your own thing. M that's sweet.
- 10:26Speaker 3: Yeah, So I like that. I like that too much.
- 10:29Speaker 3: As to whom much is given, much is expected. I
- 10:34Speaker 3: like that. But we can talk about life all night. Well,
- 10:39Speaker 3: we're not doing that. We're gonna move on to the
- 10:41Speaker 3: hot topic, which is love. Love.
- 10:44Speaker 2: Oh mind.
- 10:46Speaker 3: Hmmm. You believe that life can be fulfilling without love?
- 10:55Speaker 2: Mhmm, gotting, mm hmmm mm hmm.
- 11:00Speaker 3: Hear his thought all the time.
- 11:05Speaker 2: So do I believe that life can be fulfilling without love?
- 11:12Speaker 2: I think that it can be to a certain degree.
- 11:20Speaker 3: Break it down for us.
- 11:22Speaker 2: Yeah, I think everybody needs love, but I don't necessarily
- 11:29Speaker 2: know that everybody needs it in the same capacity.
- 11:33Speaker 3: I agree.
- 11:34Speaker 2: You know, there are different facets, different types of love,
- 11:39Speaker 2: different things that you get from people who say that
- 11:43Speaker 2: they love you, and it may not be the same
- 11:47Speaker 2: type of love. So I do think that you can
- 11:53Speaker 2: you know, it can be fulfilling without, But it just
- 11:57Speaker 2: depends on what type of love it is that you
- 12:00Speaker 2: know that you're you're looking for and that you need
- 12:03Speaker 2: to be fulfilled. Because you can say, oh, well, no,
- 12:07Speaker 2: you know, I'm good. I have everything that I need,
- 12:11Speaker 2: But you've got love on a parental level and that's
- 12:18Speaker 2: enough for you. You know you don't need anything different.
- 12:21Speaker 2: Or you can say, well, I don't have my parents,
- 12:24Speaker 2: i don't have the familiar love, but I've got my
- 12:28Speaker 2: partner over here that gives me everything that I need
- 12:33Speaker 2: and you feel you're fulfilled in that area. So I mean,
- 12:38Speaker 2: I think it could happen. I think it happened. What
- 12:41Speaker 2: about you what you're thinking?
- 12:43Speaker 3: I mean, I agree, I agree. I also think that
- 12:47Speaker 3: the most important thing about when it comes to love
- 12:50Speaker 3: is being able to love yourself so that you can
- 12:54Speaker 3: either show or teach somebody how to love you in
- 12:57Speaker 3: that capacity, because not all love has created equal and
- 13:06Speaker 3: like you said, it's different types of love. So yeah,
- 13:10Speaker 3: I do believe that it can be fulfilling without it,
- 13:13Speaker 3: but at some point self love has to come in there.
- 13:15Speaker 3: So I don't think that anything is able to be
- 13:19Speaker 3: fulfilling without the love, that right, right, I.
- 13:24Speaker 2: Can agree with that. I can agree with that.
- 13:27Speaker 3: Now when it comes to love, what would twenty year
- 13:31Speaker 3: old Ashley tell forty year old Ashley? Oh?
- 13:38Speaker 2: What would twenty year old Ashley tell forty year old Ashley?
- 13:45Speaker 3: Too easy? No, that's too easy. Oh speak to you, speak,
- 13:56Speaker 3: Come on, come on channel that twenty year old Ashley
- 13:59Speaker 3: and let us speak to you.
- 14:01Speaker 2: Your twenty year old Ashley was sunning.
- 14:05Speaker 3: Ooh, that's why I asked the question.
- 14:14Speaker 2: Twenty year old Ashley would tell forty year old Ashley. Girls,
- 14:21Speaker 2: still drop it like inside because you got it. I
- 14:27Speaker 2: don't stop dropping it till your knees give out, is
- 14:32Speaker 2: what twenty you old Ashley would tell forty year old Ashley. Yeah,
- 14:36Speaker 2: he's don't hurt. Don't do your think girl?
- 14:39Speaker 3: Do you think listen? I like that.
- 14:42Speaker 2: I like that.
- 14:43Speaker 3: I mean, and you're keeping it playful because yeah, I
- 14:47Speaker 3: think my I think. Twenty year old Kiki would tell
- 14:49Speaker 3: forty year old Kiki this chill out. We made it.
- 14:54Speaker 2: That's real, that's real.
- 14:56Speaker 3: Chill out. We're gonna make it. We're gonna make it.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Chill out. Don't you overthink too much. You're just doing
- 15:02Speaker 3: to like chill out, enjoy life Yeah, we're gonna make
- 15:07Speaker 3: it and be all right.
- 15:09Speaker 2: That's that's real. Twenty y old Ashley probably would not
- 15:13Speaker 2: be telling forty ye old Ashley that, but you know
- 15:15Speaker 2: it's all good.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Now, what would forty year old Ashley I tell thirty
- 15:23Speaker 3: year old Ashley about love?
- 15:28Speaker 4: M drey, you coming up, you got some good you
- 15:37Speaker 4: got some good questions here, got my mind rolling?
- 15:42Speaker 3: Mm hmmm.
- 15:44Speaker 2: Forty year old Ashley talking to thirty year old Ashley,
- 15:48Speaker 2: what would she tell her about love? Everything that glitter
- 15:57Speaker 2: ain't gold when it comes to love. And these folks
- 16:01Speaker 2: out here in these streats, don't believe the hype. Don't
- 16:10Speaker 2: believe the hype. Mm hmmm. Don't believe the hype. That's
- 16:17Speaker 2: that's that I got. Yeah, don't believe the hype.
- 16:20Speaker 3: I mean, that's real, and that can that that I think.
- 16:23Speaker 3: I think each each decade of yourself can actually be
- 16:27Speaker 3: told that same thing and take it for what it is.
- 16:33Speaker 2: But I also think that it it hits different depending
- 16:38Speaker 2: on which decade of yourself is relaying that message. Hits different.
- 16:45Speaker 3: Yeah mm hm, oh, christ I'm gonna hit different. I
- 16:48Speaker 3: mean because when you were your thirties, you starting to
- 16:50Speaker 3: learn and know and you know see where your future
- 16:53Speaker 3: going and all these things. You know a little bit
- 16:56Speaker 3: more about your body, how your mind works, all this. Yes,
- 17:00Speaker 3: whereas when you fought it. I don't know about you,
- 17:05Speaker 3: but I'm I'm at a point where like it is
- 17:07Speaker 3: what it is at this point.
- 17:10Speaker 2: I'm there and I'm beyond.
- 17:14Speaker 3: And not in a negative way.
- 17:15Speaker 2: Oh no, definitely not negative, like you get what you
- 17:18Speaker 2: get and it just it is what it is. Like
- 17:22Speaker 2: you know, you can't. I'm not going to over extend
- 17:26Speaker 2: and over exert and expend energy where that is not reciprocated.
- 17:34Speaker 3: There you go, not doing it. There you go, not
- 17:38Speaker 3: doing it.
- 17:39Speaker 2: So yeah, all right.
- 17:42Speaker 3: So I asked you a question that if you had
- 17:44Speaker 3: to give you a definition of life, So that's let's
- 17:48Speaker 3: go to the next thing. If you had to give
- 17:51Speaker 3: love a definition you what would you what would you
- 17:56Speaker 3: say it is for as?
- 17:58Speaker 2: Hmmm, You're killing me with these definitions.
- 18:04Speaker 3: God. I had a guest this season shout out to
- 18:07Speaker 3: Portia and she said that her definition of love with action,
- 18:13Speaker 3: and I was like, wow, I could.
- 18:16Speaker 2: Get with that. Yeah, but for some reason, I'm drawing
- 18:22Speaker 2: a blank. I'm drawing a blank, and I don't know
- 18:26Speaker 2: if that that might be my answer, M. That literally
- 18:33Speaker 2: might be my answer.
- 18:35Speaker 3: Like elaborate on that though.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Because I think that.
- 18:42Speaker 3: Love is.
- 18:45Speaker 2: It's within M. It's within me, It's within you know,
- 18:52Speaker 2: whoever it is that I'm loving on at the time,
- 18:56Speaker 2: or vice versa. It's within. So I can't necessarily say
- 19:02Speaker 2: that it's this word that word like it just it
- 19:07Speaker 2: just depends, like I'm and I gotta keep it real
- 19:11Speaker 2: on that one.
- 19:11Speaker 3: I'm it's blank, I feel you. And I think that
- 19:16Speaker 3: I think that I liked Portia's answer because she was
- 19:20Speaker 3: she took She explained it from you know, being a
- 19:23Speaker 3: mom and having kids poring into them, and she says
- 19:26Speaker 3: she raised her kids to always show it versus letting
- 19:30Speaker 3: somebody tell you that they love you, but they treat
- 19:33Speaker 3: you like crap.
- 19:34Speaker 2: Now that I can, I can understand that and and
- 19:37Speaker 2: I can get with that because you know, saying you
- 19:40Speaker 2: love me is one thing, and you can say it
- 19:44Speaker 2: all day, but can you show it? And how do
- 19:50Speaker 2: you show it? And do I feel it when?
- 19:53Speaker 3: Yeah, that that's that's the part right there. Yeah, Yeah,
- 19:57Speaker 3: I like that because.
- 20:00Speaker 2: Then that's not to say you're not showing it, but
- 20:04Speaker 2: it's just if I'm not feeling the love from your
- 20:07Speaker 2: actions or if I feel like you're just doing it
- 20:10Speaker 2: because I said that this is something that I want done.
- 20:14Speaker 3: Our allegation.
- 20:16Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, you know, there's no there's nothing behind.
- 20:20Speaker 3: That, right, I get it. I get it. Yes, indeed, yes, indeed.
- 20:24Speaker 3: Now this is another question, and this is another topic
- 20:27Speaker 3: that we have touched on for the whole season. And again,
- 20:29Speaker 3: you guys have been listening to Kicking and Waikiki. We
- 20:32Speaker 3: are in the season finale of season Step. I have
- 20:35Speaker 3: been joined with my friend life coach Ashley, and we're
- 20:39Speaker 3: talking about life, love and all the other shit. Do
- 20:42Speaker 3: you believe in the five love languages and why or
- 20:49Speaker 3: why not?
- 20:51Speaker 2: I do. I definitely think that that's important. I think
- 20:57Speaker 2: the five, all five of them important, but I also
- 21:01Speaker 2: think that there could possibly be more.
- 21:03Speaker 3: Oh did you listen to the episode because that's what
- 21:07Speaker 3: That's exactly what we said, because we talked about somebody
- 21:11Speaker 3: I love the languages and got nothing to do with
- 21:13Speaker 3: the five Like I like like consistency, like being able
- 21:18Speaker 3: to listen, like mak it ship, put forward effort. Let
- 21:21Speaker 3: me know that I'm mad.
- 21:22Speaker 2: To see honesty, all of you know, all of that
- 21:27Speaker 2: is yeah, yeah, but I definitely believe and I think
- 21:30Speaker 2: that they're important in a relationship, but not just in
- 21:36Speaker 2: a you know, an intimate relationship. I think they're important
- 21:39Speaker 2: in all relationships. You know that that played. Those love
- 21:43Speaker 2: languages play a real part in, you know, knowing how
- 21:48Speaker 2: you communicate with other people, knowing how you interact, and
- 21:51Speaker 2: you know, just overall how you get along with people.
- 21:57Speaker 3: Mm hmm. And do you believe that they change over time? Oh?
- 22:00Speaker 2: Absolutely, yeah, absolutely, as you age, they do change. They
- 22:08Speaker 2: definitely change some of the things that you know. At
- 22:11Speaker 2: that that twenty year old Ashley was looking for forty
- 22:15Speaker 2: year Ashley is just kind of like, nah, I'm good, right,
- 22:22Speaker 2: thank you, yeah, miss me, miss me with that keep
- 22:27Speaker 2: it over.
- 22:27Speaker 3: Their Yeah, I guess it's already there.
- 22:33Speaker 2: Don't bring me that.
- 22:35Speaker 3: Don't bring me that, right, absolutely all right. Someone switch
- 22:40Speaker 3: gears a little bit and I'm now. We talked about
- 22:42Speaker 3: the five love languages and stuff like that, and I
- 22:44Speaker 3: ask you about your definition of life and love.
- 22:47Speaker 2: Ask me another definition.
- 22:49Speaker 3: I'm not. I'm gonna ask you a song. Oh when
- 22:52Speaker 3: you think about love, what song embodies that for you?
- 22:59Speaker 2: I'm going to say with you by Tony Terry.
- 23:09Speaker 3: Yeah, yes, yeah, Okay, so you got to elaborate for
- 23:14Speaker 3: the people in the back that don't know this song,
- 23:16Speaker 3: like tell them, tell them to look a little breakdown
- 23:18Speaker 3: because Tony sung from his soul.
- 23:20Speaker 2: When that definitely sung from his soul. Can I pick
- 23:25Speaker 2: another song too, Yeah by Tony Terry as well, Everlasting.
- 23:33Speaker 3: Love, y'all if y'all listening and y'all don't know nothing
- 23:38Speaker 3: about Tony Terry, go look him up on out there,
- 23:42Speaker 3: get out, get him out like for real. Yeah, and
- 23:48Speaker 3: Feel the Fire by Peebo brycele.
- 23:50Speaker 2: Ooh ooh yeah yeah yeah.
- 23:55Speaker 3: Forever for I Always for Love by Layla Had the
- 23:58Speaker 3: Way Half the Way.
- 24:00Speaker 2: Yeah, oh my god, I said, you're gonna have me
- 24:03Speaker 2: in here. I'm gonna have to go put the music.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Make a playlist, Go ahead, make a.
- 24:09Speaker 2: Year old Ashley. Gotta make a playlist. But it's not
- 24:11Speaker 2: gonna have twenty year old Ashley Jams on it. It's
- 24:14Speaker 2: gonna have the grown Ashley Jams on it.
- 24:17Speaker 3: Right. Yeah, I like, I'm glad that you say that,
- 24:20Speaker 3: Like I'm glad that you say those two sons, because yeah,
- 24:23Speaker 3: they do and and it makes you, it makes you
- 24:26Speaker 3: giddy and bloody and stuff like that. Yeah, yeah, you
- 24:30Speaker 3: know that's the music.
- 24:31Speaker 2: When you you're in the car and that song come on,
- 24:34Speaker 2: I'm like, oh wait, everything got to stop. If anybody riding, Hey,
- 24:38Speaker 2: you gotta be quiet.
- 24:39Speaker 3: Like I you can't be quiet, don't say.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Just be quiet. Yeah. That that's feel good music for me.
- 24:49Speaker 3: It's still does.
- 24:50Speaker 2: You know it takes me back to a time when
- 24:54Speaker 2: everything was right with the world in my love life.
- 24:57Speaker 2: You know, all that was good and things felt great,
- 25:01Speaker 2: and it was wonderful.
- 25:03Speaker 3: It was wonderful, It was wonderful. It was brutiful. Yes,
- 25:09Speaker 3: I don't know where the brew came from, but that's
- 25:12Speaker 3: how I got people pronouncing it now like people is brutiful, right.
- 25:18Speaker 2: Yeah, beautiful?
- 25:20Speaker 3: Yes, if I loved that. I loved that, great, great grade. Now,
- 25:24Speaker 3: did you want to ask me anything before we get
- 25:26Speaker 3: into this all this other ship?
- 25:30Speaker 2: Mm hmm. I'm tempted to just be like, let's just
- 25:33Speaker 2: jump in.
- 25:33Speaker 3: That all that, let's get it, let's get into it
- 25:37Speaker 3: all that other ship. Can you remember a time in
- 25:42Speaker 3: your life that you was so bogged down into some
- 25:46Speaker 3: ship that you just didn't know whether you was coming
- 25:50Speaker 3: or going. How did you get through that. God, wish
- 25:56Speaker 3: I could see her face.
- 25:57Speaker 1: He went to jail.
- 25:59Speaker 2: Girl, what you're talking about?
- 26:00Speaker 3: Oh my god, Wow, please tell us the story. I
- 26:06Speaker 3: was not expecting you to stay here, went to jail. Okay,
- 26:11Speaker 3: Oh my god, oh jeez.
- 26:15Speaker 2: Yeah yeah yeah, yeah yeah yeah. That was a long, long, long, long,
- 26:20Speaker 2: long long time ago.
- 26:21Speaker 3: Yeah. So how did you get through it though? How
- 26:23Speaker 3: did you do that? How did you get through it?
- 26:29Speaker 2: I left him alone in jail.
- 26:33Speaker 3: You broke up with the man when he went to jail.
- 26:34Speaker 2: Left him alone in jail. I'm gonna say it again.
- 26:38Speaker 2: I left him alone in jail. Yeah. Yeah, I had
- 26:46Speaker 2: to do that though. I had to. Yeah, it is
- 26:50Speaker 2: I had to because if I didn't do that, I
- 26:55Speaker 2: promise you there was no elevation for me in that.
- 27:01Speaker 2: I was not going to grow. I was going to
- 27:05Speaker 2: stay stagnant, quick, saying down to the knees and sinking.
- 27:11Speaker 2: I was not Yeah, it wasn't happening. And I think
- 27:18Speaker 2: as much as I hated to do that, I knew,
- 27:22Speaker 2: you know, people around me were saying things like, you know,
- 27:27Speaker 2: oh my god, you know you should be with him anyway,
- 27:29Speaker 2: you shouldn't be with him, and you know, of course
- 27:32Speaker 2: when people are telling you that at a younger age,
- 27:35Speaker 2: you're like, okay, well that's gonna make me. You know that,
- 27:37Speaker 2: that just makes you gravitate toward that person even more.
- 27:41Speaker 2: Right So, I think when by the time he went
- 27:45Speaker 2: to jail, I was kind of starting to see it myself,
- 27:52Speaker 2: but still not quite ready to let go. And when
- 27:56Speaker 2: that happened, it was like, Okay, that's that's the wake
- 28:00Speaker 2: up call, because what you're gonna do. You can't do
- 28:04Speaker 2: anything with that. You know, you're running up to go
- 28:07Speaker 2: go vizit and putting money on books that you don't want,
- 28:10Speaker 2: money you don't have, you putting it on books. You know, like,
- 28:14Speaker 2: you can't do that. We can't keep living like that.
- 28:17Speaker 3: So yeah, listen, I'm glad that you say that, because
- 28:20Speaker 3: somebody need to hear that that it may be their
- 28:23Speaker 3: season of letting go. As a life coach, and we speaking,
- 28:26Speaker 3: we speaking to coach Ashley right now. What would you
- 28:30Speaker 3: what the advice would you give a client when they
- 28:34Speaker 3: so come to you and say, listen, I am so
- 28:39Speaker 3: caught up in some shit and I need some help.
- 28:43Speaker 3: What would you what would you say to them in
- 28:45Speaker 3: that moment? Coach Ashley not not Bella, Coach Ashley answer
- 28:52Speaker 3: this question, that's coach Ashley, and then I'm gonna ask Bella.
- 28:57Speaker 2: So I would have to ask them a question first
- 29:02Speaker 2: before I could say anything to them. And that question
- 29:06Speaker 2: would be are you ready? Because you can say that
- 29:14Speaker 2: you caught up, you bogged down, and you know I
- 29:17Speaker 2: got so much going on, but you truly may not
- 29:22Speaker 2: be ready. You may know that all of that is
- 29:26Speaker 2: going on around you, you may feel and see all
- 29:30Speaker 2: of that, but are you ready to change that? Because
- 29:34Speaker 2: if you're not ready to change it, nothing that I
- 29:36Speaker 2: tell you as coach Ashley is going to help you
- 29:42Speaker 2: because you're not receiving it. Right, So it would be
- 29:47Speaker 2: a question that I would ask before we could even
- 29:50Speaker 2: move any further.
- 29:51Speaker 3: Right. I like that. I like that, So answer the
- 29:53Speaker 3: question as a Belger because you know, y'all know Ashley.
- 29:56Speaker 3: She she has an alted ego. She writes erotica and
- 30:00Speaker 3: and Bella is. If you don't know who she is,
- 30:02Speaker 3: I need you try to go on over to Amazon
- 30:04Speaker 3: and check out the first book. When the book two coming,
- 30:07Speaker 3: book two coming in twenty twenty five for.
- 30:09Speaker 2: Us, definitely coming in twenty five, definitely happen.
- 30:14Speaker 3: How would Bella answer the question somebody that's so bobbed
- 30:19Speaker 3: down into the some shit and they come to you
- 30:21Speaker 3: for some advice, our help. Mm hmm.
- 30:26Speaker 2: You don't, You don't want to know.
- 30:29Speaker 3: She's gonna ask if it's a woman. She's gonna ask
- 30:32Speaker 3: this question. Mm hmmm mm hmmm, go ahead tell them.
- 30:39Speaker 2: So Bella wouldn't have a question at all. Bella would
- 30:44Speaker 2: just have an answer, and that that, oh my gosh,
- 30:48Speaker 2: Bella would just say, tune it up, turn it over,
- 30:53Speaker 2: bust it over.
- 30:54Speaker 3: Beat it over all that.
- 30:58Speaker 2: No, you know what, I thought she was gonna get
- 31:00Speaker 2: hibout it. You forget about it.
- 31:02Speaker 3: It'll help you. Look, I thought she was gonna ask
- 31:04Speaker 3: if it's a woman coming to her, like, uh, it
- 31:06Speaker 3: must be good. Huh, you know it must be good.
- 31:10Speaker 2: Mm hmmm. No, no, no, I mean sometimes you you know,
- 31:14Speaker 2: you just need a little you just need to forget.
- 31:17Speaker 2: You just need to forget about it for just a
- 31:19Speaker 2: little while, you know.
- 31:20Speaker 3: Na.
- 31:21Speaker 2: That's not to say that it's gonna make you forget forever. Uh,
- 31:25Speaker 2: you know, and you're gonna be you're gonna be able
- 31:27Speaker 2: to really put it out of your mind, but at
- 31:29Speaker 2: least for that moment.
- 31:31Speaker 3: But after them, after them, whatever minutes you get, you're
- 31:36Speaker 3: still gonna be in that ship.
- 31:37Speaker 2: Though, gonna be in that ship. You're gonna be in
- 31:39Speaker 2: that water. You are definitely gonna be in that water.
- 31:43Speaker 2: So telling them make it good. I mean that's all
- 31:47Speaker 2: Bella got.
- 31:48Speaker 3: Yes, indeed, Well now that we aren't Bella go a head.
- 31:51Speaker 3: Tell them people plug this book, man, plug you book
- 31:56Speaker 3: you killing give, and tell them how they can get it.
- 32:01Speaker 2: So all that other ship, now we talk, we are
- 32:05Speaker 2: definitely in all that other shit. So book one, Book
- 32:09Speaker 2: one of the series series is called Dominant Exposure. Book
- 32:14Speaker 2: one is Intensity of Organic Chemistry. Don't do that. Don't
- 32:20Speaker 2: do that. Y'all need to see her face.
- 32:24Speaker 3: So when you when I when you told me the
- 32:27Speaker 3: name of the book, I would like, what in the hell? Yeah?
- 32:32Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean it's intense.
- 32:37Speaker 3: I think that intense times a thousand. We're better described.
- 32:46Speaker 2: Okay, Well I like that. I like that. I like it.
- 32:50Speaker 3: So let's see.
- 32:52Speaker 2: If you're into little BDSM, if you're into lots of kink,
- 33:03Speaker 2: if you think you into lots of kink, if you
- 33:05Speaker 2: want to be into lots of freaky things, then you
- 33:10Speaker 2: need to check out Dominant Exposure gotta check it out.
- 33:13Speaker 2: Got to check out Dominant Exposure. Book two, Twisted Reflections
- 33:21Speaker 2: out in twenty twenty five. Come in your way Amazon,
- 33:28Speaker 2: check it out. You gotta pick up your copy. But
- 33:31Speaker 2: you can't get book two and understand it if you
- 33:35Speaker 2: don't pick up book one. So you gotta chemistry in
- 33:41Speaker 2: order to really know what's popping and what's going on
- 33:45Speaker 2: in Twisted Reflections.
- 33:47Speaker 3: I love it. I love it. So what inspired you? Like?
- 33:54Speaker 3: Did you being in your own shit inspire you to
- 33:58Speaker 3: write about this shit?
- 34:00Speaker 2: Absolutely? Absolutely? But you got it and that's all I'm
- 34:06Speaker 2: gonna say about that. Okay, I'm gonna say about that.
- 34:15Speaker 3: Okay, So what has been your biggest lesson when it
- 34:17Speaker 3: comes to getting yourself out of all that other ship?
- 34:23Speaker 2: I would say some serious self reflection and serious alone time.
- 34:37Speaker 2: You know, I know a lot of people feel like
- 34:39Speaker 2: when they're in that season of their life where things
- 34:43Speaker 2: are just i'll say going awry, when they just bogged down.
- 34:47Speaker 2: You know, it's like, oh, well, you don't want to
- 34:48Speaker 2: be alone because you know, no, you do want to
- 34:51Speaker 2: be alone. You do want to be alone because what
- 34:55Speaker 2: you don't need is everyone else telling you how you
- 35:00Speaker 2: should feel and how I should get over something, or
- 35:03Speaker 2: how you should proceed. You've got to be able to
- 35:07Speaker 2: sit in your own shit, and you have to be
- 35:12Speaker 2: able to reflect on the things that you've gone through
- 35:17Speaker 2: in order to determine a true path of where you
- 35:20Speaker 2: need to go. That's the only way you're going to
- 35:24Speaker 2: be able to figure it out, because if you got
- 35:26Speaker 2: all that noise from everybody else clouding your head, you
- 35:30Speaker 2: can't make the proper decisions. You're making decisions for other people,
- 35:33Speaker 2: you're not making them for yourself at that point. So
- 35:38Speaker 2: I would definitely say you gotta sit in it.
- 35:41Speaker 3: Sit in it, like sometimes you just got to stink
- 35:43Speaker 3: up the joint in order to realize just how smelly
- 35:47Speaker 3: it is. And then you get tired of it, so
- 35:50Speaker 3: you go wash yourself off and clean yourself up, and.
- 35:53Speaker 2: Then you get that time you get the work. Yeah,
- 35:56Speaker 2: you gotta get a little airfresh and spread that room up.
- 35:58Speaker 2: You gotta smell good air freshman.
- 36:01Speaker 3: My ask is some bleach pneumonia. I don't mix that
- 36:06Speaker 3: together because that's.
- 36:07Speaker 2: Them like what you're doing that, let's saying that we
- 36:12Speaker 2: is not featuring you.
- 36:15Speaker 3: That you gotta that you gotta put a disclaimer out
- 36:20Speaker 3: because people you do the wrong way, but you do,
- 36:23Speaker 3: you really do, all right. So this question right here,
- 36:27Speaker 3: do you think love and life would be worth going
- 36:33Speaker 3: through it all without that other ship?
- 36:39Speaker 2: Mm hmmm, absolutely not. You got you gotta have the
- 36:42Speaker 2: other ship to grow. If you don't have the other ship,
- 36:46Speaker 2: you can't grow. That's that is the catalyst for growth.
- 36:51Speaker 2: That other ship. That's what That's where your your your
- 36:56Speaker 2: life lessons are. That's where you're you know, you learn
- 37:00Speaker 2: all the things that you need to learn in order
- 37:04Speaker 2: to become who you want to become. You gotta go
- 37:08Speaker 2: through some shit in order to grow through some shit.
- 37:11Speaker 3: So oh, I like that and I think that because
- 37:15Speaker 3: of that, all the other ship, it helps you establish
- 37:19Speaker 3: healthy boundaries. Yeah, it helps you understand and see people
- 37:26Speaker 3: for who they are, all right. It helps you see
- 37:31Speaker 3: yourself for who you are, too, because sometimes we have to,
- 37:34Speaker 3: like you said, you have to sit with it and
- 37:36Speaker 3: we have to realize, Hey, it ain't always them. Sometimes
- 37:39Speaker 3: it's us.
- 37:42Speaker 2: That part. It's a lot of time, it's us. A
- 37:45Speaker 2: lot of time, it's us. And we don't you know,
- 37:48Speaker 2: like I said, we don't want to look in the mirror. Oh,
- 37:52Speaker 2: we want to turn the mirror around and look at
- 37:55Speaker 2: the brown side on the back as oppose to cover
- 37:57Speaker 2: it up. Yeah, yeah, we don't want to look at us.
- 38:01Speaker 2: A lot of times it is us.
- 38:03Speaker 3: Mm hmm.
- 38:04Speaker 2: You know, I think the the more people realize that
- 38:09Speaker 2: and stop pointing the finger, the better off we would
- 38:14Speaker 2: be as as as a whole. You know, you gotta
- 38:17Speaker 2: look at you. You can't everything can't be everybody else's
- 38:21Speaker 2: fault exactly. Denominator is you?
- 38:25Speaker 3: Then? Baby?
- 38:26Speaker 2: You the problem?
- 38:28Speaker 3: What are you to do? You are the problem? Sometimes
- 38:36Speaker 3: you are the problem. Someone is listening that really don't
- 38:39Speaker 3: think that they are. I just want to be the
- 38:41Speaker 3: one to tell you, babies, sometimes it's you. It's not
- 38:44Speaker 3: always them. Sometimes it's you.
- 38:49Speaker 2: Yeah, most of the time it's you, Like I'm gonna
- 38:51Speaker 2: keep it a hundred, he keep being nice. Sometimes most
- 38:55Speaker 2: of the time it is you.
- 38:57Speaker 3: Listen, m yes ma'am, Yes, ma'am. And so when it
- 39:03Speaker 3: comes to the to all the other ship and friendships
- 39:08Speaker 3: mm hmm. When do you know that, as a matter
- 39:13Speaker 3: of fact, not just friendships, We're gonna talk about relationships too.
- 39:16Speaker 3: Because all of this ride or die, oh, niches get
- 39:23Speaker 3: stitches and all this bs. I just I'm I don't
- 39:28Speaker 3: want to better love me to death, and I ain't
- 39:30Speaker 3: trying to be with somebody that's gonna put me through hell, okay,
- 39:35Speaker 3: so that I can get They loved once, they do
- 39:37Speaker 3: and did whatever, and they old and gray and don't
- 39:40Speaker 3: nobody else want them now they're trying to be.
- 39:44Speaker 2: Trying to do.
- 39:47Speaker 3: When it comes to that, all that other ship, like
- 39:51Speaker 3: staying in relationships, whether monogamous are platonic, speak to the
- 39:58Speaker 3: people on that and let them know that it's okay
- 40:00Speaker 3: to let that shit go.
- 40:02Speaker 2: I got three words, don't do it. Don't stay. Don't
- 40:10Speaker 2: stay if it's not serving you, if it is not
- 40:14Speaker 2: serving you. And I don't mean that in a selfish way,
- 40:18Speaker 2: because that type of love, that type of friendship, that
- 40:25Speaker 2: type of whatever you want to call it, it has
- 40:29Speaker 2: to be reciprocated, So it goes. It does go both ways.
- 40:34Speaker 2: But don't stay where you are not celebrated and appreciated.
- 40:39Speaker 3: Facts.
- 40:40Speaker 2: Don't do that because no matter who you are, no
- 40:44Speaker 2: matter what shit you got with you, you are worthy
- 40:49Speaker 2: of being loved, appreciated and celebrated. Absolutely, So don't stick
- 40:55Speaker 2: around for that. Don't stay.
- 40:57Speaker 3: Some shit just ain't worth it.
- 41:00Speaker 2: A lot of shit just ain't.
- 41:03Speaker 3: And I'm learning that some people in some situations are
- 41:08Speaker 3: just not worth it because all this going back and forth,
- 41:12Speaker 3: all this arguing, all this being mad one day and
- 41:16Speaker 3: then we talked the next day.
- 41:18Speaker 5: I'll let confusion and yet that it's exhausting, and I'm
- 41:26Speaker 5: already I already be ready to get into bed at
- 41:28Speaker 5: six o'clock, you know, when the time changed.
- 41:32Speaker 3: Even though it's getting dark at five o'clock, six o'clock,
- 41:34Speaker 3: it's midnight over here, so I'm ready to go to bed.
- 41:37Speaker 3: It's just some stuff just not worth it, Like if
- 41:39Speaker 3: it's taken away from my peace, you gotta go. And
- 41:44Speaker 3: I'm saying peace.
- 41:45Speaker 2: Yes, yes, peace of mind is everything. Peace of mind
- 41:50Speaker 2: is everything. I never understood that when I was younger.
- 41:53Speaker 2: You know that that twenty year old actually didn't get it.
- 41:55Speaker 2: Twenty year old actually like chaos and was okay with
- 41:59Speaker 2: the little chaos. You know, it was it was, it
- 42:02Speaker 2: was good. Chaos was the thing. Patio Ash don't want
- 42:07Speaker 2: to chaos.
- 42:08Speaker 3: I don't think that I've ever wanted chaos. I've always
- 42:11Speaker 3: been like a calm or peaceful person, and a lot
- 42:15Speaker 3: of people think that it's bullshit, but it's not. That's
- 42:18Speaker 3: just genuinely who I am. And it's like, yeah, I
- 42:22Speaker 3: could get a little rowdy, but for what mm hmm,
- 42:25Speaker 3: because the times that I did it made me look crazy. Yeah. Yeah,
- 42:30Speaker 3: so I'm making myself look crazy? Why am I doing this?

- 42:38Speaker 2: Anyway, that part, that's that's what That's what twiny y Old
- 42:42Speaker 2: actually had to learn. M that's what she had to learn.
- 42:46Speaker 2: But in going through that, I learned what not to
- 42:55Speaker 2: accept and what not to put up with and what
- 42:59Speaker 2: I don't one. So again, I had to go through
- 43:04Speaker 2: that in order to grow and come out on the
- 43:07Speaker 2: other side.
- 43:08Speaker 3: I love it. I love it. So listen, y'all. This
- 43:11Speaker 3: has been a great episode, Ashley. Thank you for coming

- 43:31Speaker 3: the time, I don't know the questions. So we can
- 43:35Speaker 3: look at this paper like I ain't got that many questions.
- 43:37Speaker 2: On there no it's not a lot. It's not a lot.

- 44:44Speaker 2: Yeah, and be comfortable. Be comfortable doing that.
- 44:50Speaker 3: So as we get into the holiday season, I want
- 44:56Speaker 3: you guys to just, you know, do some self reflection,
- 44:58Speaker 3: take some time off of social media, spend some time
- 45:02Speaker 3: getting to know who you are so that you can
- 45:04Speaker 3: figure out who you want to become if you don't
- 45:06Speaker 3: like that person when you look in the mirror. But
- 45:08Speaker 3: make sure you take a look in the mirror though,
- 45:10Speaker 3: because if you can't see what other people see, you
- 45:14Speaker 3: will never fully understand the depths of who you are
- 45:18Speaker 3: and who God is calling you to be. I am
- 45:21Speaker 3: a firm believer that in order for us to grow,
- 45:24Speaker 3: we have to take a step back, figure out some
- 45:27Speaker 3: things inwardly, and then move forward. So I hope you
- 45:32Speaker 3: guys have happy holidays until I see you next year.
