- 0:02Speaker 1: On Scone leads Australia. This is the Reader Panalty Show.
- 0:08Speaker 2: Good evening and welcome to the Rita Panety Show. I'm
- 0:10Speaker 2: Danika di Giorgio. Coming up tonight. Anthony Albanesi delivers a
- 0:14Speaker 2: keynote speech to the United Nations sprooking his climate credentials
- 0:18Speaker 2: and pushing for Australia to be added to the UN
- 0:21Speaker 2: Security Council. The Renewables Only experiment sees electricity prices surge
- 0:26Speaker 2: in the past twelve months. The implymer will tell us
- 0:29Speaker 2: by how much and what it means for your bills.
- 0:32Speaker 2: John Heindereker has the latest on a fatal shooting at
- 0:35Speaker 2: an ICE facility in Texas, which authorities say was politically motivated.
- 0:40Speaker 2: The fallout continues from Sarah Ferguson's letter to Jeffrey Epstein.
- 0:44Speaker 2: Kinsey Schofield has the latest and of course left he's
- 0:48Speaker 2: losing it, including NEPO baby Violet Afleck begging for COVID
- 0:53Speaker 2: mask mandates.
- 0:55Speaker 3: We have access to a technology to prevent airborne disease,
- 0:58Speaker 3: something that millions of our ancestry and millions of people
- 1:01Speaker 3: around the world today would.
- 1:02Speaker 4: Kill for it.
- 1:03Speaker 2: But first tonight, while Anthony Arberzi was shaking hands with
- 1:07Speaker 2: Donald Trump. Our US ambassador Kevin Rudd was hugging the
- 1:11Speaker 2: president's arch enemy Gavin Newsom, as Chris Bowen seemed to
- 1:14Speaker 2: look on with Enmy the Prime Minister briefly met with
- 1:17Speaker 2: Trump for the very first time during a un welcome reception,
- 1:21Speaker 2: confirming a formal meeting between the two of them for
- 1:23Speaker 2: October twenty. Meanwhile, Chris Bowen and Kevin Rudd sat down
- 1:27Speaker 2: with Newsom, the Governor of California, to discuss green energy rollouts.
- 1:32Speaker 2: Johnny mean out Moore on This This Sky News contributor
- 1:34Speaker 2: Louise Roberts and research fellow at the Institute of Public
- 1:37Speaker 2: Affairs Colleen Harkin. Good to see you both. Thanks so
- 1:40Speaker 2: much for joining me on the show. Look, Louise, I've
- 1:42Speaker 2: got to say it's all very strange. I mean, between
- 1:46Speaker 2: Elbow's over exaggerated smile with Donald Trump to run now
- 1:50Speaker 2: besties with Gavin Newsom, what do you make of all this?
- 1:53Speaker 5: Well, I think the PM is walking a real diplomatic
- 1:56Speaker 5: time rope here because clearly he doesn't want to upset
- 1:59Speaker 5: Trump anymore than all those previous insults. Because we need
- 2:03Speaker 5: Camber needs Trump on side for Orcus and trade and
- 2:05Speaker 5: everything else like that, and the fact that he was
- 2:07Speaker 5: so coy about that meeting where that or after that
- 2:10Speaker 5: photo was taken, the selfie where he does look very
- 2:13Speaker 5: you know, like an excitable schoolboy met his celebrity hero,
- 2:16Speaker 5: and Trump's got this very strange force green. I would
- 2:19Speaker 5: love to know what was going on in his mind
- 2:20Speaker 5: when that picture was taken. So I think having you know,
- 2:24Speaker 5: Kevin Rudd hugging Gavin Newsom, who is the number one
- 2:27Speaker 5: Democrat that Trump despises even more than Kamala Harrison Biden.
- 2:32Speaker 5: So what he's actually saying in trying to do is
- 2:34Speaker 5: it old what his team is doing that looks like
- 2:37Speaker 5: they're on the periphery sort of trying to wind up Trump,
- 2:40Speaker 5: even perhaps not deliberately, but it would be irritating to.
- 2:44Speaker 2: Him, I think.
- 2:44Speaker 5: And I think that's you know, that's something that the
- 2:49Speaker 5: PM has to be very careful of ahead of this
- 2:50Speaker 5: meeting Ontober twenty, which, of course, if Trump feels like
- 2:54Speaker 5: it may cancel at the last.
- 2:55Speaker 2: Minute, absolutely well. I mean he's already you know, pushed
- 2:57Speaker 2: the alliance further further away, is you know, prioritizing China.
- 3:02Speaker 2: Of course, Kevin Right is actually still the elephant in
- 3:04Speaker 2: the room at Colleen. And look to me, looking at
- 3:07Speaker 2: that selfie between Albanesi and Trump, I just felt like
- 3:10Speaker 2: the PM's desperately trying to portray this image like everything's
- 3:14Speaker 2: all okay, Yes we haven't gotten a meeting up until now,
- 3:17Speaker 2: but you know, everything is fine. But the reality is
- 3:19Speaker 2: he's actually been snubbed twice by the President. Well that's right.
- 3:26Speaker 6: That photo with Trump is obviously it looks very sort
- 3:29Speaker 6: of strained to me. But the other interesting component is
- 3:32Speaker 6: his big hug with Newsome. I mean that Newsom is
- 3:35Speaker 6: Trump's nemesis and to sort of publicly have such a
- 3:39Speaker 6: close relationship and not you know, it doesn't look to
- 3:42Speaker 6: me like Kevin Right has actually done his job in
- 3:44Speaker 6: looking after Australia's interest in developing a better relationship with Trump.
- 3:48Speaker 6: We seem to be in this sort of scenario where
- 3:51Speaker 6: it's an ideological relationship rather than actually looking after Australia's
- 3:55Speaker 6: best interest in terms of our security with our closest ally.
- 4:00Speaker 2: Look, I agree, I think they have trashed the alliance
- 4:02Speaker 2: from the very beginning. They're now desperately trying to play
- 4:05Speaker 2: catch up. But there's a lot of issues at stake,
- 4:08Speaker 2: and I just think Anthony Abneze has been a fed
- 4:10Speaker 2: income embarrassment on the world stage. Speaking of he's actually
- 4:13Speaker 2: given his first speech to the United Nations General Assembly,
- 4:16Speaker 2: spooking his climate credentials and pushing for Australia, who just
- 4:20Speaker 2: supported Palestinian recognition, to be added to the UN Security Council.
- 4:24Speaker 2: Here's a bit of what he said this week.
- 4:27Speaker 7: Australia recognized the state of Palistine because, to quote from
- 4:33Speaker 7: the charter that forms some very foundations of this institution
- 4:38Speaker 7: and reflects the very best of its idealism, we are
- 4:44Speaker 7: determined quote to save succeeding generations from the scourge of war,
- 4:50Speaker 7: to reaffirm faith in fundamental human rights.
- 4:55Speaker 2: Louise, how does he think he's going to be able
- 4:57Speaker 2: to solve this Middle Eastern crisis by recognizing Palestine. It's symbolic,
- 5:02Speaker 2: likely to be vetoed. But the point is there's still hostages.
- 5:05Speaker 2: There are still hostages somewhere, probably underneath the tunnels of Gaza,
- 5:09Speaker 2: and this man's on the world stage betraying our values.
- 5:12Speaker 5: That's right, and that should always be the first comment
- 5:14Speaker 5: he makes is about the hostages and having them released.
- 5:16Speaker 2: But I still believe.
- 5:17Speaker 5: That that the Primes that thinks this is some kind
- 5:21Speaker 5: of circuit breaker by saying we recognize Palestine.
- 5:24Speaker 2: It's the one thing.
- 5:24Speaker 5: That's going to fix the situation which is so far
- 5:26Speaker 5: not being restored or you know, the hostages aren't released
- 5:30Speaker 5: and there's no piece et cetera, et cetera. And also
- 5:33Speaker 5: begging for Clatt for a seat of the un IS.
- 5:35Speaker 5: I think in his mind this sort of shawls up
- 5:38Speaker 5: support for Palestine as well. But clearly Hamas are terrorists.
- 5:43Speaker 5: You can't negotiate with terrorists. And they're not laughing at
- 5:47Speaker 5: him thinking yeah, sure we'll lay down our arms as
- 5:49Speaker 5: part of this condition of recognizing Palestine.
- 5:51Speaker 2: That's never going to happen. No, it's not going to happen.
- 5:54Speaker 2: And when he at first announced it obviously earlier this week,
- 5:56Speaker 2: Comas actually came out and praised him. So, you know,
- 5:58Speaker 2: well done, death, that was yeah, absolute kiss of death.
- 6:02Speaker 2: And look, Colleen, he's also spruked Australia's climate change agenda.
- 6:05Speaker 2: Have a listen to this.
- 6:07Speaker 7: Our target is ambitious, but importantly it is achievable and
- 6:13Speaker 7: more than anything else, Australia's embrace of clean renewable energy
- 6:19Speaker 7: will get us.
- 6:19Speaker 2: There, Colleen. He's presented an uncosted twenty thirty five emissions
- 6:24Speaker 2: reduction target. He still can't say what it will do
- 6:26Speaker 2: for our power bills, yet they've gone up under this
- 6:29Speaker 2: renewables energy magic carpet. Right, how can he stand on
- 6:32Speaker 2: the world stage now and profess our credentials? What credentials
- 6:36Speaker 2: does he have?
- 6:38Speaker 6: Yeah, well, it seems to me that Albanezi is much
- 6:41Speaker 6: more interested in getting a pat on the back from
- 6:43Speaker 6: the United Nations bureaucraps than he is about worrying about
- 6:46Speaker 6: our own national interests, our security, our energy security, our
- 6:50Speaker 6: food security, everything that goes with this twenty thirty five
- 6:54Speaker 6: target that is undermining everything about Australia, our standard of living,
- 6:58Speaker 6: our cost of living. You know, he just doesn't seem
- 7:01Speaker 6: to be focused on what's going on at home, and
- 7:04Speaker 6: there seems to be a complete disconnect between his ideological
- 7:07Speaker 6: vanity project and the reality of what happens to the
- 7:10Speaker 6: average Australian.
- 7:11Speaker 2: Yeah, absolutely so oblivious to it. Now, Look, let's talk
- 7:15Speaker 2: about Liberal front bencher Andrew Hasty. He's demanded the party
- 7:18Speaker 2: adopt a policy to crack down on immigration, saying many
- 7:21Speaker 2: young Ossies have lost hope of owning a home due
- 7:24Speaker 2: to an explosion in net overseas migration. Louise Look, I
- 7:27Speaker 2: don't think he's wrong. Mass migration is an issue in
- 7:30Speaker 2: my view view. I actually think it's a real vote
- 7:32Speaker 2: critical issue. But why are both sides of politics so
- 7:36Speaker 2: scared to even have this conversation.
- 7:38Speaker 5: Scared being the operative work, because as soon as they
- 7:40Speaker 5: raise it as a debate issue or a talking point,
- 7:42Speaker 5: they're hold down by the left who say you've being
- 7:44Speaker 5: xenophobic and racist and you're blaming migrants for the crime,
- 7:47Speaker 5: which is clearly never the case, particularly when certain individuals
- 7:50Speaker 5: raise it as a topic. And I think Andrew Hasty
- 7:52Speaker 5: really is positioning himself as a straight talking populist here
- 7:56Speaker 5: who is saying what a lot of Australians are thinking.
- 7:59Speaker 5: We're worried about mass migration and we're worried about the impact.
- 8:02Speaker 2: On our lives.
- 8:02Speaker 5: And it was a great quote where he talked about
- 8:04Speaker 5: us being strangers in our own homes, that we don't
- 8:07Speaker 5: feel safe and we don't feel as much of a
- 8:09Speaker 5: future for our children. So and he's very brave to
- 8:12Speaker 5: say those things, and I do feel he's really taking
- 8:15Speaker 5: on Susan Lay's position by making that stand, and he's
- 8:18Speaker 5: making himself very attractive. The manufacturings and other issue of
- 8:20Speaker 5: course he talked about.
- 8:21Speaker 2: Yeah, no, no, he is. He's got a lot of
- 8:24Speaker 2: leadership qualities, I would say, And you know you alluded
- 8:27Speaker 2: to this, and Colleen, you know this isn't the only
- 8:29Speaker 2: issue he's spoken about in recent days. So immigration Australia first,
- 8:33Speaker 2: he's talk about manufacturing net zero. Some of his moderate
- 8:37Speaker 2: colleagues have been backgrounding him, telling journalists he needs to
- 8:39Speaker 2: calm down. I mean, I think he's one of the
- 8:41Speaker 2: only liberals right now with a backbone and spine. What
- 8:44Speaker 2: do you make of his intervention?
- 8:47Speaker 6: Well, I mean it doesn't take a university degree in
- 8:50Speaker 6: social science to know that unplanned mass immigration has negative
- 8:54Speaker 6: consequences on the population. You know, Australia has an immigrant culture.
- 9:00Speaker 6: We all know that and we love that about ourselves,
- 9:02Speaker 6: but that doesn't mean that it is anybody all the time,
- 9:06Speaker 6: in any numbers. And I think the average Australian is
- 9:09Speaker 6: looking at what's happening to us and they are very
- 9:11Speaker 6: concerned about what's happening to our social fabric, our Australian
- 9:14Speaker 6: way of life. And we all want that protected. And
- 9:17Speaker 6: I think Andrew Hasty is right to call this out.
- 9:21Speaker 6: The Liberal Party in itself, I think, is tearing itself
- 9:23Speaker 6: up about what does it stand for anymore? Who is
- 9:26Speaker 6: its Basehoo does it appeal to? But the average person
- 9:29Speaker 6: on the street is very concerned about what is happening
- 9:32Speaker 6: to our country. Whistle those protests or march as I
- 9:35Speaker 6: should call them, on the streets recently, where people just
- 9:38Speaker 6: want to live in a cohesive, free society, where we
- 9:43Speaker 6: enjoy the unique things that Australia offers us. And I
- 9:47Speaker 6: think Andrew Hasty is right to call it out.
- 9:49Speaker 2: I agree. I mean the march is for Australia, were
- 9:51Speaker 2: every day Aussies, every day mums and dads who are
- 9:54Speaker 2: worried about what is happening in this country. And yet
- 9:56Speaker 2: you know a lot of politicians on both sides to
- 9:59Speaker 2: be said it was a racist march. Well, the majority
- 10:02Speaker 2: there were there for the right reasons. So it is
- 10:05Speaker 2: a vote driving issue. Now look, Victoria's premier just into
- 10:08Speaker 2: Alan's machete ban and amnesty is once again proving to
- 10:11Speaker 2: be an absolute failure. Terrifying footage has emerged of two
- 10:14Speaker 2: groups of males slashing each other with machetes in the
- 10:17Speaker 2: car park of broad Meadows Central shopping center in Melbourne's
- 10:20Speaker 2: north and a warning some viewers may find this distressing.
- 10:24Speaker 8: Back here in Melbourne, just four weeks after the ban
- 10:27Speaker 8: came into effects, seven News has obtained this exclusive vision
- 10:31Speaker 8: which shows two groups of men armed with machetes trying
- 10:34Speaker 8: to stab at one another in the car park at
- 10:37Speaker 8: Broadmeado Central around five o'clock yesterday. One person was hurt
- 10:41Speaker 8: and taken to hospital, but no arrests have been made.
- 10:44Speaker 2: But Louis, this is terrifying. How can Justin Alan honestly
- 10:48Speaker 2: say that she's been tough on crime when week in,
- 10:50Speaker 2: week out machete incidents are happening all the time. That's right.
- 10:54Speaker 5: And another thing about that Broadado's incident is there was
- 10:56Speaker 5: a machete bin opposite that shopping center.
- 10:58Speaker 2: Oh the irony, the irony.
- 11:00Speaker 5: Of it exactly, And she cannot say that crimes under control.
- 11:02Speaker 5: I mean, the stats just came out today, which I'll
- 11:05Speaker 5: note here that incidents are up eighteen percent, offenses are
- 11:08Speaker 5: up sixteen percent, and they're saying now that children are
- 11:11Speaker 5: young people make up almost half of aggravated burglaries in
- 11:15Speaker 5: more than a quarter of carffts me. It's they're the
- 11:18Speaker 5: highest figures ever since they've started being recorded in Victoria.
- 11:22Speaker 5: So she's into Alan has got nothing to crow about
- 11:24Speaker 5: on the crime front.
- 11:24Speaker 2: I mean, that's frightening. They're absolutely frightening. And Colleen, this
- 11:28Speaker 2: is happening in the state that you live in. What
- 11:30Speaker 2: does it say about justinto Allan's machete band and her policies.
- 11:35Speaker 6: Yeah, correct, as you know, I'm in Victoria and the
- 11:38Speaker 6: crime here is literally out of control. People are genuinely
- 11:42Speaker 6: very worried. The machete bins, the idea that people will
- 11:45Speaker 6: just drop them in at the end of the street
- 11:47Speaker 6: is ridiculous. And to be honest, it wouldn't even matter
- 11:49Speaker 6: whether it was a machete, like the tool that's being
- 11:52Speaker 6: used for the violence that's been inflicted is irrelevant. It's
- 11:55Speaker 6: what's happening with the standard of the policing. They're over
- 12:00Speaker 6: whelmed with what's going on here. Car theft is out
- 12:03Speaker 6: of control, household breakings is out of control.
- 12:07Speaker 2: We are really in.
- 12:08Speaker 6: Dire straits in Victoria, and people are genuinely afraid. They
- 12:11Speaker 6: are really genuinely afraid, and people are staying away from
- 12:15Speaker 6: shopping centers and places where others might gather. There is
- 12:20Speaker 6: nothing to crow about about what's happening in Victoria and
- 12:23Speaker 6: the bail laws that were changed recently, and they're now
- 12:27Speaker 6: saying that we're not going to have enough room in
- 12:28Speaker 6: our jails for the people who were violent offenders. There
- 12:31Speaker 6: just doesn't seem to be a genuine plan for how
- 12:35Speaker 6: to crack.
- 12:36Speaker 2: Down on this. No, clearly that there is none, and
- 12:39Speaker 2: it's not working, and I just feel for residents who
- 12:42Speaker 2: are absolutely terrified by this. Now, look, I want to
- 12:45Speaker 2: end on a light note. Italy has sent a navy
- 12:48Speaker 2: frigate to assist Greater Funberg's pro Palestine flotilla after their
- 12:52Speaker 2: fleet was attacked by drones overnight. Would you believe? The
- 12:54Speaker 2: activists reported about thirteen explosions and claim that the drones
- 12:58Speaker 2: infiltrated the ship's communication system by playing abba music on
- 13:03Speaker 2: all of them at full volume. I had to laugh
- 13:05Speaker 2: when I read that, Louise, that's I mean, it's quite funny.
- 13:08Speaker 5: If I wonder if it was Waterloo, maybe it was.
- 13:12Speaker 5: Maybe it was, you know, just like Paulean Greta's now
- 13:15Speaker 5: facing her waterloo. I mean, who knows that it could
- 13:17Speaker 5: have been dancing, when it could have been anything. But
- 13:19Speaker 5: those Italian taxpayers will be thrilled to bits to know
- 13:23Speaker 5: that their money is being used to stop these sort
- 13:25Speaker 5: of babyface activists who were warned not to go anywhere
- 13:28Speaker 5: near this area exactly.
- 13:29Speaker 2: I mean, there's been so many issues from the start
- 13:30Speaker 2: with this frigate Colleen, and now Abba is playing at
- 13:33Speaker 2: full blast apparently.
- 13:37Speaker 6: Well I happened to like Ebba, but I mean this
- 13:39Speaker 6: is a PR flotilla that's actually helping her. Mus I mean,
- 13:44Speaker 6: that's the reality of this. Actually, there's a sign to
- 13:47Speaker 6: me that feels a bit sorry for Greta Thornboog because
- 13:49Speaker 6: she's kind of been used as a prop for most
- 13:51Speaker 6: of her certainly from her teenage years on. As first
- 13:54Speaker 6: of all, it was radical climate change issues and now this,
- 13:57Speaker 6: I think it's kind of time we just ignore her.
- 14:00Speaker 6: To be honest, some of the she sort of I
- 14:02Speaker 6: don't know that she really knows what she's doing and
- 14:04Speaker 6: the consequences of some of these actions, and I think
- 14:07Speaker 6: it's just time that we stop giving her oxygen now.
- 14:09Speaker 2: Look fair enough, she is an annoying gremlin after all.
- 14:13Speaker 2: Colleen hark and Louise Roberts. Good to have you both on.
- 14:15Speaker 2: Thank you so much for joining me on the show
- 14:16Speaker 2: this evening. Joining me now is esteemed geologist and author
- 14:20Speaker 2: Professor Ian Plymer. Good to catch up with you again.
- 14:22Speaker 2: Thank you for joining me. Let's start with Anthony Alberesi.
- 14:26Speaker 2: He's called on China to go harder on cutting emissions
- 14:29Speaker 2: and to start closing more coalfied power stations. It comes
- 14:32Speaker 2: after shooting Ping criticize President Trump's rejection of net zero
- 14:36Speaker 2: and committed to reducing emissions by seven to ten percent
- 14:40Speaker 2: by twenty thirty five. And I think this is laughable.
- 14:42Speaker 2: While on Earth, would China listen to Anthony Arbeneasi when
- 14:45Speaker 2: it comes to climate action?
- 14:47Speaker 9: Well, of course, albern easy shown that he's a complete failure.
- 14:51Speaker 9: It's just a joke. And China's building one new coal
- 14:56Speaker 9: power station every four days, so why would they listen
- 14:59Speaker 9: to some who's failed in the energy policy, whereas China
- 15:03Speaker 9: is going ahead in leaps and bounds, has far cheap
- 15:06Speaker 9: energy than we do, have got a very small amount
- 15:09Speaker 9: of renewables. I mean, the joke of it is even
- 15:12Speaker 9: better when you see the background that Albow had. Now
- 15:16Speaker 9: Albo had a green rock behind him. That green rock
- 15:19Speaker 9: is full of a mineral that's got forty four percent
- 15:23Speaker 9: carbon dioxide in it, and that green rock actually forms
- 15:28Speaker 9: deep down in the earth and it stopsiations becoming acid.
- 15:32Speaker 9: So Albo, if he knew a little bit of skill
- 15:35Speaker 9: Child's science, would know that the backdrops got him conned. Anyway,
- 15:39Speaker 9: he's trying to con the Chinese. They won't fall for it.
- 15:42Speaker 9: And mister Trump's done the right thing saying, look, we
- 15:45Speaker 9: want to have cheap energy in our country, we want
- 15:48Speaker 9: to have cheap manufacturing. We want to be a strong country.
- 15:52Speaker 9: So I think the Chinese are quite right to treat
- 15:56Speaker 9: Albo as a jack because he is.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Oh well look, copletely agreed. He's out there today's breaking
- 16:01Speaker 2: our climate credentials. You just think, well, we don't have
- 16:04Speaker 2: any that's the problem. Now, look you mentioned no, you
- 16:07Speaker 2: mentioned Donald Trump, And I actually want to get your
- 16:09Speaker 2: reaction to Donald Trump's speech at the UN yesterday where
- 16:13Speaker 2: he really i would say, unleashed on the green energy
- 16:16Speaker 2: transition and labeled climate change as the greatest con job
- 16:19Speaker 2: ever perpetrated on the world. Here's a bit of what
- 16:22Speaker 2: he had to say.
- 16:23Speaker 10: They don't work, they're too expensive. They're not strong enough
- 16:28Speaker 10: to fire up the plants that you need to make
- 16:30Speaker 10: your country great. The wind doesn't blow. Those big windmills
- 16:35Speaker 10: are so pathetic and so bad, so expensive to operate,
- 16:40Speaker 10: and they have to be rebuilt all the time, and
- 16:42Speaker 10: they start to rust and write. Most expensive energy ever conceived,
- 16:47Speaker 10: and it's actually energy. You're supposed to make money with energy,
- 16:51Speaker 10: not lose money.
- 16:53Speaker 2: Well, he certainly tells it like it is he and
- 16:55Speaker 2: is he right?
- 16:56Speaker 9: Well, of course he's right. And there are tens of
- 16:58Speaker 9: thousands of people in real Australia could have told the
- 17:01Speaker 9: you in that this has been well known for decades.
- 17:05Speaker 9: Mister Trump is finally giving a reality check to the world.
- 17:09Speaker 9: And here they are. They're quivering. They don't want to
- 17:12Speaker 9: hear about immigration. They don't want to hear about climate.
- 17:15Speaker 9: They don't want to hear at Palestine or Israeli pollution
- 17:18Speaker 9: or the US sovereignty. They certainly don't want to hear
- 17:21Speaker 9: that Christianity is the most persecuted religion in the world.
- 17:24Speaker 9: They don't want to hear about Western civilization. But mister
- 17:27Speaker 9: Trump is calling it as it is. By contrast, we
- 17:31Speaker 9: have a Prime minister who appears in front of the
- 17:33Speaker 9: UN there was no one there except a few despotic leaders.
- 17:37Speaker 9: And here he is. He's just cringingly embarrassing, and he's
- 17:42Speaker 9: whimpering giving us this woke wofs view of the world.
- 17:47Speaker 9: That's not leadership. For once, we have a world leader.
- 17:50Speaker 9: And all I can say is that, as a dinky
- 17:53Speaker 9: die ozzie, I'm so pleased that there is a real
- 17:57Speaker 9: leader somewhere in the world, because that's going to change
- 18:00Speaker 9: the world.
- 18:01Speaker 2: Absolutely. It's so good to hear a leader just say
- 18:03Speaker 2: it like it is, without fear or favor, and just
- 18:05Speaker 2: speaking the truth like you know every day I was
- 18:07Speaker 2: is as you mentioned, like yourself. Are all thinking so
- 18:10Speaker 2: good on him now? And according to the latest inflation
- 18:14Speaker 2: figures released yesterday, electricity prices have surged by twenty four
- 18:19Speaker 2: point six percent in the last twelve months to August,
- 18:23Speaker 2: the renewables only experiment seems to be just going so well.
- 18:26Speaker 9: Ian well, of course, but everything we do in the
- 18:31Speaker 9: civilized country requires energy, and most of that energy is electricity.
- 18:37Speaker 9: And if we make something, if we actually use communications,
- 18:41Speaker 9: we use electricity. God help us when we start to
- 18:44Speaker 9: embrace AI. So that is only to be expected. It
- 18:48Speaker 9: will continue to happen while we continue to use this
- 18:52Speaker 9: unreliable wind and soul of power while we're trying to
- 18:56Speaker 9: kill off diesel. Now, just think of what happens if
- 18:58Speaker 9: we had less diesel. We wouldn't have enough diesel for plowing,
- 19:03Speaker 9: We wouldn't have enough for seeding, we wouldn't have enough
- 19:05Speaker 9: for reading, We wouldn't have enough for harvesting, for processing
- 19:09Speaker 9: and bringing that food to the city. Our whole country,
- 19:13Speaker 9: this country depends upon diesel, This country depends upon cheap electricity.
- 19:18Speaker 9: Is no wonder we've lost our manufacturing industry. So I'm
- 19:21Speaker 9: not surprised that inflation has gone up and it will
- 19:23Speaker 9: continue to go up while the price of electricity goes up.
- 19:27Speaker 2: And just finally, Ian, I want to ask you about
- 19:29Speaker 2: an opinion piece in the Australian Financial Review that caught
- 19:32Speaker 2: my eye claiming that the biggest threat to net zero
- 19:35Speaker 2: is right wing misinformation. Communications expert Ed Cooper writes the
- 19:39Speaker 2: social license of renewables is being attacked by professional and
- 19:43Speaker 2: heavily resourced networks with a vested interest in delaying the
- 19:47Speaker 2: energy transition. He particularly blames lobby group Advance and Responsible Future. Ian,
- 19:52Speaker 2: are there actually any serious examples as to why the
- 19:55Speaker 2: biggest threat to net zero is right wing misinformation.
- 20:00Speaker 9: Absolutely nun But this is a wonderful demonstration of paranoia. Now,
- 20:04Speaker 9: the AFR must have been trawling through all of the
- 20:07Speaker 9: submissions to the Senate Inquiry on Misinformation and Disinformation. They've
- 20:11Speaker 9: appeared on a website. There's more than one hundred and
- 20:14Speaker 9: fifty of them there, and about one hundred and twenty
- 20:16Speaker 9: of them push this view, which is total and absolute paranoia.
- 20:19Speaker 9: Now I've been going through these submissions. I want to
- 20:22Speaker 9: save you the trouble of doing it. You can take
- 20:25Speaker 9: time off to have a drink and I will send
- 20:27Speaker 9: myself nuts. And what was really interesting is the number
- 20:30Speaker 9: of these submissions that mentioned SKY. Now, I'm absolutely sure
- 20:35Speaker 9: that the people with these submissions don't subscribe to Sky,
- 20:38Speaker 9: and if they don't like it anyway, they can turn
- 20:40Speaker 9: it off. But Rita Panahy was mentioned, Peter Kredlin, Andrew
- 20:44Speaker 9: Bolt Rowan Dean I was even mentioned. You weren't You're
- 20:47Speaker 9: a failure. So this is a wonderful document of paranoia,
- 20:53Speaker 9: and the AAFR has picked up that and run with it. Now,
- 20:56Speaker 9: apparently there are right wing conspiracies right is where people say, look,
- 21:01Speaker 9: there's no evidence that human emissions drive global warming. Oh,
- 21:05Speaker 9: there's no evidence in the past that carbon dioxide has
- 21:07Speaker 9: ever changed climate. Apparently that's disinformation and misinformation. Apparently carbon
- 21:14Speaker 9: dioxide and the right wing go together. This is absolutely nuts.
- 21:19Speaker 9: So if you really, really really want to avoid watching
- 21:23Speaker 9: the football on Saturday, go to the Senate site read
- 21:27Speaker 9: up all this paranoia. It's appalling what some of the
- 21:32Speaker 9: environmental groups and some of the lobby groups have put in.
- 21:35Speaker 9: As you mentioned advance, they've been attacked. Individuals have been attacked,
- 21:40Speaker 9: and there have been one or two politicians, sensible ones
- 21:43Speaker 9: who've made submissions. I put in a thirty two page
- 21:46Speaker 9: submission just based on data. There will see. But I
- 21:49Speaker 9: think the AFI being a little bit lazy crawling a
- 21:52Speaker 9: Senate website rather than doing the work themselves.
- 21:54Speaker 2: Well, I think you should take it as a badge
- 21:56Speaker 2: of honor, Egan that your cracked to mention in that
- 21:59Speaker 2: Inquirer as a failure. I haven't gotten the total, absolutely exactly.
- 22:04Speaker 2: I and five are nice to catch up. Thanks so
- 22:06Speaker 2: much for joining me on the show this evening. We'll
- 22:09Speaker 2: still to cup lefties losing it and the White House
- 22:11Speaker 2: removes a portrait of Joe Biden and replaces it with
- 22:14Speaker 2: an image of an autopen John Henderaker will tell us
- 22:18Speaker 2: why that's neakes. Now it's time for lefties losing it.
- 22:31Speaker 2: And look, seriously, we know there is something critically wrong
- 22:34Speaker 2: with joy Reads, but really there is something critically wrong.
- 22:38Speaker 2: Here she is with sach c and then host Don
- 22:41Speaker 2: Lemon giving her assessment on how she thinks jd Vance
- 22:44Speaker 2: got into Yale.
- 22:46Speaker 11: We the gd vance got into Yeale is because they
- 22:48Speaker 11: were tired of just letting in weight men from New York,
- 22:51Speaker 11: from Child, from all the elite schools, and they wanted
- 22:53Speaker 11: an apple eachian weight. That's how that mea got into Yeal.
- 22:56Speaker 11: I promise you maybe that's also affirmative action and DEI.
- 23:00Speaker 2: Yeah, so the de I pick claims the VP is
- 23:03Speaker 2: a DEI pick. Who's going to tell her you're or I?
- 23:08Speaker 2: Now over to the bitter banshees at the view. Yes,
- 23:11Speaker 2: I know they're back, unfortunately, and look they're all in
- 23:14Speaker 2: a fluster over Donald Trump's speech to the United Nations
- 23:18Speaker 2: and they want to evoke an amendment on him. So
- 23:21Speaker 2: here is a game of guess which one what is
- 23:24Speaker 2: the amendment?
- 23:25Speaker 12: The twenty third twenty third Amendment.
- 23:28Speaker 4: When people start to.
- 23:29Speaker 9: Say twenty fourth, when they say maybe we should talk
- 23:33Speaker 9: about you.
- 23:33Speaker 13: Know, oh, oh, it's actually the twenty fifth Amendment. Number
- 23:41Speaker 13: I don't know what you met you when you start
- 23:44Speaker 13: questioning someone's campany it's.
- 23:46Speaker 2: Like it's like one plus one equals two. There's so
- 23:49Speaker 2: many numbers being thrown around there. And then in strolls,
- 23:52Speaker 2: whoopee well, they.
- 23:55Speaker 10: Questioned if badn't acted like this, I just said, yeah,
- 23:59Speaker 10: take them, take.
- 24:00Speaker 14: Me and sit them down somewhere.
- 24:02Speaker 15: But this was not This was not presidential, and this
- 24:05Speaker 15: was not helpful.
- 24:06Speaker 4: No, this is not healthful, embarrassing.
- 24:09Speaker 2: You know, oh dear. And this is from the same
- 24:11Speaker 2: group of has beens who dutted themselves for gears into
- 24:15Speaker 2: thinking Joe Biden was fit to run the country. Now
- 24:18Speaker 2: to NEPO baby and all around lunatic Violet afflic daughter
- 24:21Speaker 2: of course of Jennifer Ganner and Ben Affleck, reminding us
- 24:25Speaker 2: all how the elite a just so out of touch
- 24:27Speaker 2: with reality. Here she is begging for COVID mask mandates.
- 24:33Speaker 3: It is neglect of the highest order to look children
- 24:35Speaker 3: in the eyes and say we knew how to protect you,
- 24:38Speaker 3: and we didn't do it. We have access to a
- 24:40Speaker 3: technology to prevent airborne disease, something that millions of our
- 24:43Speaker 3: ancestors and millions of people around the world today would
- 24:46Speaker 3: kill for, and we refuse to use it. And I
- 24:50Speaker 3: shut her to think of where we will be in
- 24:51Speaker 3: another five years of unmitigated infection and reinfection.
- 24:56Speaker 2: Yeah, such a shame. We could barely hear her because
- 24:58Speaker 2: of the cloth there around it. Now, can someone please
- 25:01Speaker 2: give Jimmy Kimmel an Academy Awards.
- 25:04Speaker 16: I do want to make something clear because it's important
- 25:06Speaker 16: to me as a human, and that is you understand
- 25:10Speaker 16: that it was never my intention to make light of
- 25:12Speaker 16: the murder of a young man.
- 25:15Speaker 2: Ah, the fake tears are just something to behold. Yes,
- 25:23Speaker 2: that was his return to his show after his brief suspension,
- 25:27Speaker 2: And look at got me thinking. Remember the last time
- 25:30Speaker 2: he ripped out the crocodile tears when Donald Trump was reelected.
- 25:33Speaker 17: It was a.
- 25:34Speaker 16: Terrible name for women, for children, for the hundreds of
- 25:37Speaker 16: thousands of hard working immigrants who make this country go.
- 25:43Speaker 2: For healthcare. If he keeps going like that, the ratings
- 25:46Speaker 2: are just going to get even worse, aren't they? And
- 25:49Speaker 2: now to the Ken Dole from California. Sorry, sorry, I
- 25:52Speaker 2: met Gavin Newsom Well. He and his botoxed face have
- 25:56Speaker 2: appeared on another ratings flop. On a TV show, Stephen
- 25:59Speaker 2: Colbert to go on a rant about what seems to
- 26:02Speaker 2: be his favorite topic, ice.
- 26:05Speaker 18: That's happening in the United States of America. Masked men
- 26:08Speaker 18: jumping out of unmarked cars, people disappearing, no due process,
- 26:13Speaker 18: no oversight, zero accountability happening in the United States of
- 26:16Speaker 18: America today. People ask, well, is authoritarianism? You're being hyperbolic.
- 26:20Speaker 18: We're being hyperbolic if you're a black and brown community.
- 26:23Speaker 4: It's here in this country.
- 26:26Speaker 2: The problem is we can't quite tell if he's being
- 26:28Speaker 2: serious or not because his forehead simply doesn't move, which
- 26:32Speaker 2: makes this rant against Trump even more hilarious.
- 26:35Speaker 18: We have forty one lawsuits against the son of them.
- 26:38Speaker 19: We're pushing back and were reading you know, and.
- 26:42Speaker 18: You know, and we're filling a void on a lot
- 26:44Speaker 18: of issues.
- 26:45Speaker 2: Yeah, good old Ken Doll trying to talk the big
- 26:48Speaker 2: talk now to Mayor of London, Sad Khan having a
- 26:51Speaker 2: completely weird and quite frankly abnormal TDS moment on a bus.
- 26:56Speaker 20: I appeared to be living rent free inside Donald Trump's head.
- 27:00Speaker 20: President from has shown he is racist, he is sexist,
- 27:05Speaker 20: he is misogynistic, and he's almophobe.
- 27:08Speaker 2: A real man of the people that's today got a
- 27:10Speaker 2: bus having a crippling TDS induced episode. Poor little fella.
- 27:14Speaker 2: Now to some bad news, folks, Kabla Harris is burdening
- 27:17Speaker 2: us again by what has been quite literally you see,
- 27:21Speaker 2: she's back with the same old word sellers which she
- 27:24Speaker 2: seems to be trotting out at every media appearance for
- 27:27Speaker 2: her book to.
- 27:28Speaker 15: Ur a President of the United States running for reelection.
- 27:34Speaker 15: Current sitting president is running for reelection, running for re election.
- 27:38Speaker 15: Three and a half months from the election, decides not
- 27:41Speaker 15: to run, three and a half months from the election,
- 27:44Speaker 15: he decides not to run, three and a half months
- 27:47Speaker 15: before the election, decides not to run, with one hundred
- 27:50Speaker 15: and seven days to go, with one hundred and seven days,
- 27:54Speaker 15: with one hundred and seven days to go, and it
- 27:57Speaker 15: ended up being the closest presidential election in the twenty
- 28:01Speaker 15: first century century.
- 28:03Speaker 2: It doesn't get old, does it. Now? Look, we know
- 28:05Speaker 2: the Democrats are just so accepting and tolerant, and so
- 28:09Speaker 2: here is serial witch Hillary Clinton blaming the right for
- 28:13Speaker 2: demonizing America. We've got to stop demonizing each other.
- 28:17Speaker 21: Yeah.
- 28:17Speaker 2: Now, I think most.
- 28:18Speaker 12: Of that right now in our country's history is coming,
- 28:22Speaker 12: you know, from the right, coming from people who want
- 28:24Speaker 12: to dominate.
- 28:25Speaker 2: They want their point of view the right.
- 28:28Speaker 4: You know, writing out slavery from history. That doesn't make
- 28:32Speaker 4: it go away.
- 28:33Speaker 2: You know, we have got to stop with.
- 28:35Speaker 12: The finger pointing and the scapegoating.
- 28:38Speaker 2: Yeah. I don't know what rock she's been living under,
- 28:40Speaker 2: but has she's seen the violence, particularly in recent weeks
- 28:43Speaker 2: in America being perpetrated by the left. And at the
- 28:46Speaker 2: same time, Hillary has bizarrely reduced herself to being a
- 28:49Speaker 2: flower while lecturing us on the climate change armageddon.
- 28:53Speaker 12: Hi, I'm Hillary Clinton, and I'm a dandelion, And that
- 28:56Speaker 12: means that I am all in and making sure that
- 29:00Speaker 12: we tell the story of climate change and what it's
- 29:03Speaker 12: going to do to our lives if we don't act.
- 29:05Speaker 14: Now.
- 29:06Speaker 2: Joining me now is President of the Center of the
- 29:09Speaker 2: American Experiment, John Heindereicher. John, good to see you, Thank
- 29:13Speaker 2: you for joining me. Let's start with this shooting at
- 29:15Speaker 2: an ICE facility in Dallas, Texas. At least one person
- 29:19Speaker 2: has been killed after the suspect fired indiscriminately at the
- 29:23Speaker 2: Immigration building. Now this suspect has been identified as twenty
- 29:27Speaker 2: nine year old Joshua John. He was found dead at
- 29:29Speaker 2: the scene from what appeared to be self inflicted gunshot wounds.
- 29:33Speaker 2: Vice President jd Vance has confirmed that this was politically motivated.
- 29:37Speaker 14: Have a listen when Democrats like Gavin Newsom did say
- 29:42Speaker 14: that these people are part of an authoritarian government. When
- 29:45Speaker 14: the left wing media lies about what they're doing, when
- 29:48Speaker 14: they lie about who they're arresting, when they lie about
- 29:51Speaker 14: the actual job of law enforcement, what they're doing is
- 29:54Speaker 14: encouraging crazy people to go and commit violence. You don't
- 29:58Speaker 14: have to agree with miyamac Green policies, you don't have
- 30:01Speaker 14: to agree with Donald Trump's immigration policies. But if your
- 30:05Speaker 14: political rhetoric encourages violence against our law enforcement, you can
- 30:10Speaker 14: go straight to hell.
- 30:12Speaker 2: John. Look, we have seen so much violent rhetoric towards ICE,
- 30:16Speaker 2: and we've seen people as well taking matters into their
- 30:19Speaker 2: own hands. Is it's now the consequences of the alarmism
- 30:23Speaker 2: being peddled by the.
- 30:24Speaker 19: Left, Denika. This is the third time that shots have
- 30:28Speaker 19: been fired at an ICE facility just since July and
- 30:32Speaker 19: once again, we know that this person was a leftist.
- 30:34Speaker 19: He wrote, Anti Ice had a bullet that was left behind.
- 30:38Speaker 19: And this is the latest in a long series of
- 30:41Speaker 19: assassinations and other violent incidents that are being perpetrated by liberals.
- 30:47Speaker 19: And I blame Gavin Newsom, I blame Alexandria Orcasio Cortes
- 30:52Speaker 19: and others who continually talk about ICE describe it as
- 30:56Speaker 19: being the Gestapo. They say ICE people are Nazis, And
- 31:00Speaker 19: obviously this is going to stimulate violence against as personnel
- 31:05Speaker 19: and other law enforcement. And fundamentally, what's going on here, Danika,
- 31:09Speaker 19: is that these liberals don't want our nation's immigration laws
- 31:14Speaker 19: to be enforced.
- 31:16Speaker 2: No, they certainly don't. And let's not forget this was
- 31:19Speaker 2: the mandate by which Donald Trump was elected on. This
- 31:21Speaker 2: was what he promised the American people, so likely to
- 31:24Speaker 2: leave it, this is the way it's going to be now.
- 31:27Speaker 16: Look.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Speaking of Donald Trump, I thought he was absolutely spot
- 31:30Speaker 2: on in his speech to the United Nations, but especially
- 31:34Speaker 2: about the comments he made about immigration. Have a listen.
- 31:39Speaker 22: Europe is in serious trouble. They've been invaded by a
- 31:42Speaker 22: force of illegal aliens like nobody's ever seen before. Aliens
- 31:47Speaker 22: are pouring into Europe. Nobody and nobody is doing anything
- 31:52Speaker 22: to change it, to get him out. It's not sustainable,
- 31:57Speaker 22: and because they choose to be politically correct, they're just
- 32:01Speaker 22: absolutely nothing about it.
- 32:04Speaker 2: Well, he doesn't mince his words, John on the world stage,
- 32:07Speaker 2: and look, as I said, he's not wrong. Don't you
- 32:09Speaker 2: think it's about time that countries actually put their own
- 32:12Speaker 2: citizens first, Danika.
- 32:15Speaker 19: The same thing that got Donald Trump elected president twice
- 32:19Speaker 19: here in the United States is going on in Europe
- 32:22Speaker 19: and especially in Western Europe, and country after country, the
- 32:26Speaker 19: most popular party, the one with the most support, is
- 32:29Speaker 19: the party that wants to crack down on illegal immigration.
- 32:32Speaker 19: But what's happening in Europe is that the authorities, the
- 32:35Speaker 19: powers that be, the establishment, won't even allow that issue
- 32:39Speaker 19: to be discussed, and conservative candidates, anti immigration candidates get
- 32:45Speaker 19: get arrested, they get they get forced out of elections.
- 32:50Speaker 19: Parties in a parliamentary system will form coalitions so that
- 32:53Speaker 19: they can't be part of the government even if they
- 32:56Speaker 19: got the most votes. And we're approaching a pretty explod
- 33:00Speaker 19: situation I think in Europe where the people who are
- 33:03Speaker 19: opposed to this crazy program of unlimited immigration from third
- 33:08Speaker 19: world countries. You have just got to be heard or
- 33:11Speaker 19: those nations are going to be in serious trouble.
- 33:14Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean, look what's happening in the UK as well.
- 33:17Speaker 2: I mean they're completely being overrun by a mass migration system.
- 33:21Speaker 2: So good on Donald Trump for calling out Europe and
- 33:23Speaker 2: the UK for that matter. Now, look, this is a
- 33:27Speaker 2: bit of a bizaar one, John, because you recall when
- 33:29Speaker 2: Donald Trump claimed immigrants were eating cats and dogs. Well,
- 33:33Speaker 2: now UK reform leader Nigel Farage is alleging that they're
- 33:36Speaker 2: eating swans in Britain. Have listened to both of them
- 33:41Speaker 2: in Springfield.
- 33:42Speaker 22: They're eating the dogs the people that came in, They're
- 33:46Speaker 22: eating the cats, they're eating they're eating.
- 33:49Speaker 10: The pets of the people that live there.
- 33:53Speaker 1: Swans were being eaten in rural parks in this country.
- 33:56Speaker 1: That cart were being taken out of ponds and eaten
- 33:58Speaker 1: in this country by people who come from cold that
- 34:00Speaker 1: have a different Would you agree it happened that is
- 34:02Speaker 1: happening here. Neither risk of pros who are taking the
- 34:05Speaker 1: car from the swans, people who come from countries where
- 34:07Speaker 1: that's quite acceptable. The reciplines of his Easter in your peers,
- 34:10Speaker 1: Romanians and people at that side.
- 34:11Speaker 2: I believe John the Royal Parks has come out rejecting
- 34:15Speaker 2: Nigel Farage's claim. But what do you make of this.
- 34:19Speaker 19: Well, Danika, I'm not sure who's in it what, either
- 34:22Speaker 19: in the United States or in Great Britain. But I
- 34:25Speaker 19: think what's going on here is a serious point, and
- 34:28Speaker 19: that is when you admit millions of people into your
- 34:31Speaker 19: country who don't share your cultural norms.
- 34:35Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 34:36Speaker 2: Look, I think that's the best way of putting it.
- 34:38Speaker 2: Who knows what's being eaten? I mean, we just simply
- 34:41Speaker 2: don't know. But Jeep provides us with some entertainment, that's
- 34:44Speaker 2: for sure. Now, look, let's talk about Jimmy Kimmel. He
- 34:47Speaker 2: has returned to the airwaves, of course, after being briefly
- 34:50Speaker 2: suspended following the comments he made about the death of
- 34:53Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk. But he was never not one sorry, not
- 34:56Speaker 2: one sorry in the monologue that he delivered. And here
- 34:59Speaker 2: was Giting Vance's response.
- 35:01Speaker 14: Helot didn't actually say sorry to Charlie Kirk or his family.
- 35:07Speaker 14: And the reason that so many people, including me, were
- 35:09Speaker 14: so upset with what Jimmy Kimmel.
- 35:11Speaker 1: Said, is that he accused.
- 35:13Speaker 14: Charlie Kirk's murderer of being a MAGA or a right
- 35:17Speaker 14: wing American. It wasn't a joke. It was straight up disinformation,
- 35:21Speaker 14: and I really wish Jimmy Kimmel Haud apologized for him.
- 35:24Speaker 2: John, do you think that Jimmy Kimmel should have been
- 35:26Speaker 2: allowed back on it?
- 35:30Speaker 19: Well, I think for a number of reasons. No, his
- 35:32Speaker 19: ratings are terrible. I think ABC was glad to get
- 35:36Speaker 19: rid of him. They're obviously losing money on his show.
- 35:39Speaker 19: I keep hearing Jimmy Kimmel referred to as a comedian,
- 35:42Speaker 19: but I have never seen that he said anything that's funny.
- 35:46Speaker 19: What he said about Charlie Kirk's assassination is murder, is
- 35:49Speaker 19: that the murder was committed by a mega person. That
- 35:53Speaker 19: was not a joke. There was no attempt at humor there.
- 35:56Speaker 19: It was simply a politically motivated lie. And as far
- 36:00Speaker 19: as I can see, Jimmy Kimmel's program is simply an
- 36:03Speaker 19: hour long, false, irrational smearing of Republicans. And so yeah,
- 36:09Speaker 19: I'm not surprised that he didn't apologize. That's the whole
- 36:12Speaker 19: purpose of his show. And my guess is that ABC
- 36:16Speaker 19: is going to wait a reasonable amount of time and
- 36:18Speaker 19: then quietly try to get rid of him.
- 36:21Speaker 2: Yeah, I feel like this was the first strike. They've
- 36:23Speaker 2: suspended him for a bit, and then I do agree.
- 36:25Speaker 2: Perhaps in time we'll actually see the show canceled altogether.
- 36:28Speaker 2: And good riddance if that's the case. Now, look the
- 36:30Speaker 2: French president Amanuel mccron. I've got to say, he's shown
- 36:34Speaker 2: what a real loser he really is. His car was
- 36:37Speaker 2: blocked in in New York by traffic because of the
- 36:40Speaker 2: United Nations, and so his first initial response was to
- 36:43Speaker 2: get on the phone immediately and call Donald Trump for help.
- 36:46Speaker 2: Have a look, how are you.
- 36:50Speaker 9: Guess what? I'm a waiting just because everything is closing
- 36:55Speaker 9: for you.
- 36:56Speaker 20: I'm sorry, I'm president.
- 36:57Speaker 8: I'm really sorry.
- 36:59Speaker 16: It's just that everything's close it right down.
- 37:01Speaker 1: There's a portor kick coming away as well.
- 37:04Speaker 2: If you don't see that, let me possent it and
- 37:08Speaker 2: you John no such luck. He was actually forced to
- 37:12Speaker 2: walk instead for thirty minutes through the straits of Manhattan.
- 37:16Speaker 2: I'll tell you what. You've got to laugh at this,
- 37:18Speaker 2: but I just thought it was a bit too much
- 37:20Speaker 2: calling Donald Trump direct. What do you think?
- 37:24Speaker 19: Well, it's an interesting story, really, Didika, Because apparently Macron
- 37:28Speaker 19: does have a direct line where he can call President
- 37:31Speaker 19: Trump and reach him. This was completely trivial, Okay, He
- 37:35Speaker 19: and everybody else there had to wait for a few
- 37:37Speaker 19: minutes for a motorcade to go by. This happens fairly
- 37:40Speaker 19: off and I'm sure it happens in Paris when Macron
- 37:43Speaker 19: is driving around. And so instead of just waiting there
- 37:46Speaker 19: for a few minutes like everybody else, McCarn pulled out
- 37:49Speaker 19: his telephone and called and called Trump and complained about it.
- 37:52Speaker 19: And I don't know if he knew that there were
- 37:54Speaker 19: there were cameras going and videos would would be produced,
- 37:57Speaker 19: and he was trying to make himself looking by getting
- 38:00Speaker 19: right through to Donald Trump. Or maybe after he complained
- 38:04Speaker 19: about the traffic and being stopped there for a few minutes,
- 38:07Speaker 19: he started talking about wanting to get together with Trump
- 38:10Speaker 19: and talk about guitar and Gaza and so forth, and
- 38:14Speaker 19: maybe that was his agenda. I don't know, but it
- 38:16Speaker 19: was I think of really a very odd, odd incident.
- 38:20Speaker 2: I think it was. Personally, I just found it quite arrogant. Really,
- 38:23Speaker 2: I've always thought that and Manuel mccron was arrogant, and
- 38:27Speaker 2: his full arrogance was on display. Now, Look, we just
- 38:30Speaker 2: spoke there about Charlie Kirk's assassination. Turning Point USA says
- 38:35Speaker 2: security lacked jurisdiction to monitor the rooftop where that gunman
- 38:39Speaker 2: made the fatal shop shot. Their spokesman, Andrew Colvet, said
- 38:42Speaker 2: its security team does not have the authority to police
- 38:45Speaker 2: rooftops or surrounding areas during campus speaking events. John, So,
- 38:49Speaker 2: really they were left very exposed on that day. But
- 38:53Speaker 2: will this form a big part of the investigation now
- 38:56Speaker 2: the gaps that we are seeing in security on campuses.
- 39:01Speaker 19: Well, first of all, what the TPUSA spokesman said there
- 39:04Speaker 19: makes perfect sense. I'm not surprised by that at all.
- 39:08Speaker 19: Rooftop security is very tough unless you're willing to close
- 39:11Speaker 19: down the entire campus. This murderer was about I think
- 39:15Speaker 19: two hundred yards away, and there's a lot of buildings
- 39:18Speaker 19: within two hundred yards of where this incident happened. And
- 39:21Speaker 19: so unless you're willing to actually shut down the campus,
- 39:24Speaker 19: securing all of those rooftops is difficult. And we saw
- 39:28Speaker 19: in Butler, Pennsylvania, the Secret Service was not able to
- 39:32Speaker 19: secure the rooftop and the guy very nearly succeeded in
- 39:35Speaker 19: assassinating President Trump. So what we're really seeing here, Denika,
- 39:40Speaker 19: is a level of threat at a university that universities
- 39:44Speaker 19: have never contemplated before. They have not organized themselves in
- 39:49Speaker 19: terms of security to protect against guys with rifles on
- 39:53Speaker 19: rooftops hundreds of yards away. And I'm not sure how
- 39:57Speaker 19: this is all going to play out. I'm not sure
- 39:59Speaker 19: that university are going to really accept responsibility for that
- 40:03Speaker 19: level of security.
- 40:04Speaker 2: No, I look, probably not, but yeah, you're right. I
- 40:07Speaker 2: mean there's such a gap clearly when it comes to
- 40:09Speaker 2: rooftops what we saw in as well with the attempted
- 40:12Speaker 2: assassination of Donald Trump. There's seriously an issue there. Let's
- 40:16Speaker 2: move on because this is hilarious. I've got to say.
- 40:18Speaker 2: The White House has unveiled a Presidential Walk of Fame
- 40:22Speaker 2: outside the West Wing, and Joe Biden's portrait has been
- 40:25Speaker 2: replaced with an image of an autopen, a device previously
- 40:29Speaker 2: used by the commander in chief to sign important orders,
- 40:33Speaker 2: including all those pardons John This is brilliant because, let's
- 40:37Speaker 2: be honest, Biden would have had no clue what he
- 40:40Speaker 2: was signing half of the time.
- 40:43Speaker 19: You know, Denika, I believe this began as a meme.
- 40:47Speaker 19: I think somebody created a meme that showed these presidential
- 40:50Speaker 19: portraits with Joe Biden's being an auto pen. And I
- 40:53Speaker 19: think Trump or somebody in the White House saw that
- 40:56Speaker 19: meme and said, great idea, let's do it actually up
- 41:00Speaker 19: that picture of Joe, our president, Joe Biden as the
- 41:03Speaker 19: auto pen. And the serious point here is that everybody
- 41:07Speaker 19: in America now understands that Joe Biden, at least during
- 41:10Speaker 19: the latter part of his administration. I think throughout his administration,
- 41:15Speaker 19: really had no idea what he was doing, and somebody
- 41:18Speaker 19: was making decisions in the White House, but it wasn't
- 41:21Speaker 19: Joe Biden. This is a major scandal, and it's one
- 41:24Speaker 19: that the Democrats have tried to just move on from.
- 41:27Speaker 19: You know, they lost the election in twenty twenty four.
- 41:29Speaker 19: Of Biden has done, it's all over. But I think
- 41:32Speaker 19: we really need to learn more about what the heck
- 41:34Speaker 19: was going on in that administration when Joe Biden was
- 41:38Speaker 19: pretending to be the president.
- 41:40Speaker 2: Yeah, and you know that you had a really bad
- 41:42Speaker 2: tenure when your official portrait has been replaced by none
- 41:46Speaker 2: other than a pen. That sums up the entire presidential
- 41:50Speaker 2: candidacy of Joe Biden very well. Now that we've got
- 41:53Speaker 2: to end on this, John, I thought this was very cute.
- 41:56Speaker 2: Have a look at this exchange today with a kid
- 41:59Speaker 2: and JD. Van's during a Q and A in California.
- 42:03Speaker 14: What's your name, Henry, Henry.
- 42:05Speaker 2: It's good to meet you, Henry. Ask your question please.
- 42:09Speaker 3: Today I was wondering if I could get a picture of.
- 42:19Speaker 14: Well, I guess you're going to have some excuse to
- 42:22Speaker 14: skip school, so I might as well get a photo
- 42:24Speaker 14: with Henry.
- 42:25Speaker 2: I thought that was really sweet, Johnson. He's got presidential vibes.
- 42:29Speaker 2: I've got to say.
- 42:31Speaker 3: JD.
- 42:32Speaker 19: Vance is a terrific natural politician, Danika. He's a brilliant guy,
- 42:36Speaker 19: but he's also very likable, and he's really good in
- 42:39Speaker 19: these unscripted situations. I think JD. Vance and Marco Rubio
- 42:43Speaker 19: are the two stars of the younger generation of Republican politicians.
- 42:49Speaker 2: Yeah, you're absolutely spot on. I just thought that was
- 42:52Speaker 2: such a lovely exchange, John, Heinderecher. Lovely to catch up
- 42:55Speaker 2: with you again. Thank you very much for joining me
- 42:57Speaker 2: on the Showgo still to come. The fallout from Sarah
- 43:02Speaker 2: Ferguson's email praising Jeffrey Epstein continues as she's dropped from
- 43:07Speaker 2: yet another charity. Kinsey Schofield has the latest that's next
- 43:19Speaker 2: Welcome back. Joining me now is celebrity and royal commentator
- 43:22Speaker 2: Kinsey Schofield Kidsy good to see you. The fallout from
- 43:25Speaker 2: Sarah Ferguson's email praising Jeffrey Epstein continues, the Duchess of
- 43:29Speaker 2: York has been forced to resign from yet another charity.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Of course, after being dropped from a string of others.
- 43:34Speaker 2: What more can you tell us?
- 43:37Speaker 17: I mean, I've lost count of how many charities she's
- 43:39Speaker 17: either been let go from or resigned from. Even on
- 43:43Speaker 17: this side of the pond, She's lost some of those opportunities.
- 43:46Speaker 17: Forggi has a history of scandals, from financial troubles to
- 43:49Speaker 17: questionable business dealings. Her connection to Epstein adds to this
- 43:53Speaker 17: long list of lapses in judgment, and it reinforces the
- 43:56Speaker 17: public perception that some royals and royal adjacent figures lack accountability.
- 44:01Speaker 4: The Yorks have proven.
- 44:02Speaker 17: To be a liability to the British royal public, and
- 44:05Speaker 17: there is no guarantee that the slow drip of Epstein
- 44:08Speaker 17: documents won't reveal more that could embarrass the institution in
- 44:12Speaker 17: the future.
- 44:13Speaker 4: This is something they should be very concerned about.
- 44:16Speaker 2: Oh, look, absolutely, I mean this. I just feel like
- 44:18Speaker 2: it's going to get worse and worse from here. Now. Look,
- 44:21Speaker 2: let's talk about Harry and Meghan's latest career pivot. I
- 44:24Speaker 2: don't even know what to call it. They've made a
- 44:26Speaker 2: very strange decision to promote Disneyland on ABC's The Happiest
- 44:30Speaker 2: Story on Earth Seventy Years of Disneyland, a special edition
- 44:33Speaker 2: of twenty twenty. Seriously, Kinsey, why are they doing this?
- 44:39Speaker 17: Meghan has reached peak influencer status. This is what you
- 44:44Speaker 17: leave being a real royal princess for to shill over
- 44:47Speaker 17: price tickets to Disneyland, where there are cosplay princesses. I
- 44:52Speaker 17: can't even comprehend. She's become a glorified spokesperson for mouse House.
- 44:57Speaker 17: But unfortunately for her, it happened in in the midst
- 45:00Speaker 17: of a chaotic few weeks for ABC and Disney, who
- 45:04Speaker 17: were caught up in the Jimmy Kimmel drama. But in
- 45:07Speaker 17: all seriousness, the strategy here seems to be gaslighting and
- 45:10Speaker 17: trying to distract from making the end of Queen Elizabeth
- 45:13Speaker 17: Slafe a living hell. Otherwise, I really truly don't understand
- 45:16Speaker 17: what they're doing.
- 45:17Speaker 2: No, look neither. I don't know why they're even bothering
- 45:19Speaker 2: because everything that they're trying to do they seem to
- 45:21Speaker 2: be failing at. I wish they would just go away
- 45:24Speaker 2: and leave all of us alone. Now let's talk about
- 45:26Speaker 2: Harry Potter. Actress Emma Watson, who of course famously played
- 45:29Speaker 2: Hermione Granger. She's opened up about her feud with author JK. Rowling.
- 45:33Speaker 2: Here is what she said.
- 45:36Speaker 21: I just don't know what else to do other than
- 45:38Speaker 21: hold these two seemingly incompatible things together at the same time.
- 45:43Speaker 21: I can love her, I can know she loved me,
- 45:46Speaker 21: I can be grateful to her. I can know the
- 45:48Speaker 21: things that she's said are true, and that can beat
- 45:53Speaker 21: this whole other thing. And my job feels like to
- 45:58Speaker 21: just hold, just to hold all.
- 46:01Speaker 2: Of it, Kinsey, This feud started over JK Rowling's position
- 46:05Speaker 2: on trans people. What do you make of these comments
- 46:07Speaker 2: now by Emma Watson.
- 46:09Speaker 4: Well, she says her job. I'm like, what is your job?
- 46:11Speaker 17: Because you haven't made a movie since twenty eighteen, we
- 46:15Speaker 17: know she remains an active campaigner for climate change mitigation
- 46:18Speaker 17: and has spoken out in solidarity with the people of Palestine.
- 46:22Speaker 4: Is that your job?
- 46:23Speaker 16: Now?
- 46:24Speaker 17: Maybe Emma senses the cultural shift, or maybe she just
- 46:27Speaker 17: decided to stop biting the hand that feeds you. If sincere,
- 46:30Speaker 17: this is a growth and maturity that I think we
- 46:32Speaker 17: should applaud. But again, she has been critical of JK
- 46:36Speaker 17: in the past, so I'm hopeful that this is genuine.
- 46:40Speaker 2: Yeah, well, time will tell. Let's see what happens now.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Kinsey accused killer Luigi Mangioni has accused Donald Trump of
- 46:47Speaker 2: preventing him from having a fair trial. Why is that.
- 46:52Speaker 4: Okay?
- 46:52Speaker 17: So we Judge cautioned the Justice Department officials that public
- 46:56Speaker 17: comments about Luigi could be jeopardizing their federal case. Posts
- 47:00Speaker 17: on social media by two senior DOJ staffers appear to
- 47:04Speaker 17: directly violate rules against public publicity. I should say that
- 47:11Speaker 17: might jeopardize or influence the jury pool in this health
- 47:15Speaker 17: insurance CEO's murder trial. I don't have an opinion whether
- 47:20Speaker 17: it's right or wrong what those DOJ members have done,
- 47:23Speaker 17: But what I will tell you is I have very
- 47:25Speaker 17: little sympathy for Luigi.
- 47:27Speaker 2: Yep, that makes two of us, and I'm sure many
- 47:30Speaker 2: more out there as well. Now to revelations that two
- 47:33Speaker 2: individuals are doing all they can to make money off
- 47:36Speaker 2: Charlie Kirk's death by filing trademarks featuring the late conservative's
- 47:40Speaker 2: name Kinsey. Do we have any idea who these people are?
- 47:44Speaker 2: We do?
- 47:45Speaker 4: I mean this feels gross right.
- 47:46Speaker 17: Radar Online reports that Terrence Malone filed documents to obtain
- 47:50Speaker 17: the trademark for the phrase Charlie Kirk's Life Matters for clothing,
- 47:55Speaker 17: and a second application was filed.
- 47:57Speaker 4: By a woman named Jasmine Wong.
- 48:00Speaker 17: Application asked for the right to use Charlie's name to
- 48:02Speaker 17: make everything from dresses to pajamas, even kids clothes like
- 48:06Speaker 17: for babies. Sources close to Charlie's camp are obviously disgusted
- 48:10Speaker 17: by the attempted exploitation. There is no connection between these
- 48:15Speaker 17: individuals and the Kirk family. But thankfully Charlie's estate would
- 48:19Speaker 17: have to agree for his name and lateness to be used.
- 48:23Speaker 17: But it just kind of disappoints you in the world,
- 48:26Speaker 17: doesn't it.
- 48:28Speaker 2: It just there's something really really wrong about this that
- 48:30Speaker 2: people are trying to capitalize over someone's death. I just
- 48:33Speaker 2: think it's just absolutely appalling really that there's people out
- 48:36Speaker 2: there like this. But Kinsey actress Jessica Chastain has slammed
- 48:41Speaker 2: Apple after it delayed the release of her Apple TV
- 48:43Speaker 2: plus thriller series The Savant in the wake of Charlie
- 48:47Speaker 2: Kirk's assassination. Why the delay, Kinsey, and what she had
- 48:51Speaker 2: to say about it.
- 48:53Speaker 17: Yeah, so she is speaking out against this, which is
- 48:56Speaker 17: odd to again biting the hand that feeds you.
- 48:59Speaker 4: Testaine said that she.
- 49:00Speaker 17: And Apple are not aligned on pausing this Evant, arguing
- 49:04Speaker 17: that the show's themes about violence and extremism are more
- 49:08Speaker 17: relevant now than ever.
- 49:10Speaker 4: Now.
- 49:11Speaker 17: Apple hasn't announced a new premiere date yet, but maybe
- 49:15Speaker 17: they know something that she doesn't. Perhaps audiences weren't impressed
- 49:20Speaker 17: and they want to go back and edit it, or
- 49:22Speaker 17: perhaps there were threats made, and you know, they thought
- 49:25Speaker 17: it's better if we hold onto this for a little
- 49:27Speaker 17: while and allow things to cool down. I think she
- 49:30Speaker 17: might have spoken out a little too soon here.
- 49:34Speaker 2: Yeah, look, I think so too, And I really would
- 49:38Speaker 2: have been a tongue ifi with her, because you don't
- 49:40Speaker 2: want to put the networks offside, that's for sure. Kinsey Schofield,
- 49:45Speaker 2: nice to catch up with you. Thank you so much
- 49:47Speaker 2: for joining me on the show this evening. And that's
- 49:49Speaker 2: it for me. Up next is Newsnight, good Night,
