- 0:00Speaker 1: Now the Mark Simone Show on seven ten woor filling
- 0:05Speaker 1: in for Mark. Here's Ken Rosatto oh Man, Ohman. The
- 0:08Speaker 1: day before the big Feast. Mark is off at a
- 0:10Speaker 1: long weekend. Good for him. Former New York City TV
- 0:13Speaker 1: news anchor Ken Rosatto reporting for duty. And you'll probably
- 0:18Speaker 1: best remember me. I did twenty years, twenty years having
- 0:21Speaker 1: a great time anchoring the Morning show Channel seven here
- 0:24Speaker 1: in New York. Before that, I was on the Morning
- 0:26Speaker 1: Show Channel five. And these days I host a daily
- 0:29Speaker 1: show on a New Jersey based news channel. It's called
- 0:33Speaker 1: on New Jersey ONANJ dot com. You could stream it
- 0:37Speaker 1: live anywhere in the country. It's New Jersey focus, but
- 0:40Speaker 1: it has all the Tri State stuff too. Onj dot com.
- 0:44Speaker 1: I'm on every day there and I run a food
- 0:46Speaker 1: website for all you foodies called the Food Dude. Thefooddude
- 0:50Speaker 1: dot us check it out. Hundreds of free recipes that
- 0:54Speaker 1: I put on there, in thousands or hundreds of thousands
- 0:56Speaker 1: actually from all over the world. And we've got a
- 0:58Speaker 1: lot to talk about today. But being this is the
- 1:00Speaker 1: day before thanks to Giving, I'm not only a guy
- 1:04Speaker 1: who does news and politics but also food. Because of
- 1:07Speaker 1: the Food Dude so feel free to talk Thanksgiving. We
- 1:10Speaker 1: don't have to keep this a hardcore political show. I
- 1:13Speaker 1: know Marcus like saying, Ken, keep it on, keep it on, politics, Mark, Mark,
- 1:17Speaker 1: you enjoy your day off. I'm going to welcome in
- 1:21Speaker 1: some calls about Thanksgiving, turkey, stresses around the holiday table,
- 1:25Speaker 1: politics and family. Whatever you want, open it up here.
- 1:28Speaker 1: Eight hundred and three two one zero seven ten. Do
- 1:31Speaker 1: you have a cool recipe you want to share, because
- 1:33Speaker 1: I'm going to talk about them. We want to hear
- 1:35Speaker 1: about it. What about your family traditions at Thanksgiving? Do
- 1:38Speaker 1: you always just have a turkey or do you have
- 1:41Speaker 1: a turkey and something else or something instead of a turkey?
- 1:45Speaker 1: You know, being an Italian American, we always have you
- 1:49Speaker 1: have to have lasagna. It's just Lasaigna is a man
- 1:52Speaker 1: made turkey, Okay, it's sort of constructed frank in parts,
- 1:56Speaker 1: and then you get a lasagna. So but we always
- 1:59Speaker 1: have a you know, you have alasagna, then you have
- 2:01Speaker 1: the turkey if you have room for turkey. But tell
- 2:04Speaker 1: us what you think and what your family tradition is.
- 2:06Speaker 1: I know a lot of folks do mac and cheese.
- 2:07Speaker 1: We heard that earlier on MENTI in the morning, eight
- 2:11Speaker 1: hundred and three to two, one zero seven to ten.
- 2:14Speaker 1: Well Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy ticked off some people while
- 2:17Speaker 1: getting cheers from a lot of others, including me. Don't
- 2:21Speaker 1: know if you heard him, but he asked people to
- 2:23Speaker 1: consider dressing a little more appropriately when taking flights.
- 2:27Speaker 2: People dress up like they're going to bed when they fly.
- 2:32Speaker 2: You know, I see people getting on the airplanes. They're
- 2:35Speaker 2: having a hard time taking their luggage and getting in
- 2:37Speaker 2: in the oversize or above band. Help people out, be nice,
- 2:41Speaker 2: be courteous, and so we want to push people as
- 2:44Speaker 2: we come into a really bad busy travel season, help
- 2:46Speaker 2: people out, be in a good mood, dress up, bring
- 2:49Speaker 2: civility back to travel, and I think everyone's experience is
- 2:53Speaker 2: going to be that much better.
- 2:54Speaker 1: And he's right. I fly every couple of weeks because
- 2:57Speaker 1: I live equally between New Jersey and Fort Lanndale, and
- 3:00Speaker 1: I go back and forth, and depending on the time
- 3:03Speaker 1: of my flight, I cannot tell you how many people
- 3:06Speaker 1: I see boarding the plane looking like they literally rolled
- 3:10Speaker 1: out of bed and intend to go back to bed
- 3:12Speaker 1: when they got on the flight. Dirty hoodies, dirty sweats,
- 3:17Speaker 1: They literally look half asleep. Their hair is a mess.
- 3:20Speaker 1: Maybe they didn't brush your teeth. I know, I'm sorry
- 3:22Speaker 1: to be gross. Like I usually catch the first fly
- 3:25Speaker 1: out flight out from a Newark Airport, and so it is.
- 3:29Speaker 1: You know, it's possible people rolled out of bed at
- 3:31Speaker 1: three am. They got their five am for the first
- 3:33Speaker 1: flight and they didn't brush your teeth or whatever. It's gross.
- 3:36Speaker 1: It's gross you were in public around other people. But
- 3:39Speaker 1: I know the attitude today from so many is I
- 3:42Speaker 1: don't care what people think. Okay, it's not about that.
- 3:45Speaker 1: Have a little self pride. How about that you want
- 3:48Speaker 1: to be seen looking disgusting and having people kind of
- 3:51Speaker 1: it's just nasty. I've seen people the minute they get
- 3:54Speaker 1: on the plane, they get down to their socks or
- 3:56Speaker 1: bare feet. That grosses me out because then they walk
- 4:00Speaker 1: to the to the lavatory barefooted. You know, when you
- 4:03Speaker 1: walk into a bathroom on a plane, it's all sticky
- 4:06Speaker 1: with urine that splashes, and it's nasty. You want your
- 4:09Speaker 1: bare feet to touch that. I've watched them sit on
- 4:12Speaker 1: their bare feet where they get especially young ladies, they
- 4:15Speaker 1: kind of sit on their feet on their chair, on
- 4:18Speaker 1: their seat, and so they got their bare feet and
- 4:20Speaker 1: they're touching their bare feet. I'm sorry to be on
- 4:22Speaker 1: the foot thing, but it's like now you're going to
- 4:24Speaker 1: touch other things and shake people's hands and stuff. No, no,
- 4:28Speaker 1: learn a little, learn a little decorum. And then the
- 4:31Speaker 1: grossest was about six months ago when I saw this guy,
- 4:34Speaker 1: not kidding, clipping toenails in their seats. I know, I'm
- 4:40Speaker 1: is he Your engineers looking at me like, shut up,
- 4:42Speaker 1: ors out of change it, change it. I'm telling you
- 4:44Speaker 1: it's nasty. I've seen people change their baby diapers on
- 4:48Speaker 1: the pull down table. That's where someone's going to put
- 4:50Speaker 1: their food the next flight. So all I'm saying is,
- 4:53Speaker 1: like Sean Duffy said, and he didn't get into this
- 4:55Speaker 1: gross detail, try to act more civilized. That's all. Just
- 4:59Speaker 1: a little more civilized in society. Think of other people.
- 5:02Speaker 1: Would you like to sit down at a seat where
- 5:05Speaker 1: somebody else had their bare feet? So then don't do it.
- 5:07Speaker 1: To the next guy, call and share. Maybe you have
- 5:10Speaker 1: a nicer story than that. Eight Edward three two one
- 5:13Speaker 1: zero seven ten. This is seven ten w R. The
- 5:16Speaker 1: Voice of New York Ken Rosotto Infra Mark. Well, I'm
- 5:20Speaker 1: sure you heard by now about US District Judge Cameron
- 5:23Speaker 1: McCowan Curry, the radical leftist activist Biden appointee who threw
- 5:28Speaker 1: out the James Comy and Letitia James indictments. Her argument
- 5:32Speaker 1: was that the prosecutor was no longer legally in power
- 5:35Speaker 1: as a prosecutor, so the cases had to be dismissed
- 5:38Speaker 1: on a technicality. So immediately tiss James and James Comy
- 5:43Speaker 1: took victory laps. All arrogant and the ms now types,
- 5:47Speaker 1: all the liberals with the with the you know, the
- 5:51Speaker 1: ear rings through their nose and the pink hair looking
- 5:54Speaker 1: like five hundred pounds like they're on their last breath.
- 5:59Speaker 1: Maybe they maybe they should rethink their joy because the
- 6:03Speaker 1: cases were dismissed without prejudice. Listen to the law professor
- 6:09Speaker 1: Jonathan Turley, listened to what he had to say.
- 6:11Speaker 3: Letitia James took a bit of a victory lap after
- 6:14Speaker 3: this decision, and I think she missed the two words
- 6:17Speaker 3: that followed dismissal. And there was dismissal without prejudice. So
- 6:23Speaker 3: the Trump administration, even if they lose on appeal, could
- 6:27Speaker 3: seek out a new indictment. This is not over for James,
- 6:31Speaker 3: or call me. The judge specifically said, I am not
- 6:35Speaker 3: going to grant your motion to dismiss with prejudice. I'm
- 6:38Speaker 3: going to allow them to cure this problem.
- 6:41Speaker 1: So what that means is it's going to take time,
- 6:44Speaker 1: but the government's going to come back after them. If
- 6:45Speaker 1: call me and James want to ensure the charges will
- 6:48Speaker 1: be refiled, keep gloating, keep gloating. That will ensure that
- 6:53Speaker 1: you will go back to court and next time every
- 6:56Speaker 1: I will be dotted and T will be crossed. So
- 6:58Speaker 1: the Trump administration plans to first appeal the activist judges
- 7:03Speaker 1: decision to the Fourth US Circuit Court of Appeals that's
- 7:06Speaker 1: in Richmond, Virginia. That used to be considered kind of
- 7:09Speaker 1: a conservative stalwart court, but in recent years it shifted
- 7:13Speaker 1: a little more left. So they have a shot at that.
- 7:16Speaker 1: If that doesn't work, they will refile the charges and
- 7:20Speaker 1: this time they'll do it with a different prosecutor and
- 7:22Speaker 1: it will go through because the case is Look, you're
- 7:25Speaker 1: innocent until proven guilty. But certainly the case against Letitia James.
- 7:28Speaker 1: You have documents that she signed that it was unquestionable.
- 7:32Speaker 1: I mean Mark was talking about this yesterday. I heard
- 7:35Speaker 1: him talking about it yesterday. You signed a document that
- 7:37Speaker 1: says you live full time in a residence in Virginia,
- 7:42Speaker 1: and that gives you a lower interest rate on your mortgage.
- 7:45Speaker 1: That's a federal crime. And you get a lower insurance rate,
- 7:49Speaker 1: and you get lower taxes from the local municipality in
- 7:53Speaker 1: the state. So now you are lying to three institutions
- 7:58Speaker 1: using a federal instrument, and you are the Attorney General
- 8:01Speaker 1: of the state of New York. You're not just some
- 8:03Speaker 1: average schmo. So you know how to read a contract? Okay,
- 8:07Speaker 1: how do you defend yourself against that? And on top
- 8:09Speaker 1: of that, to become the Attorney General of New York
- 8:12Speaker 1: you have to live in New York. So how could
- 8:13Speaker 1: you have Virginia as not a residence but your primary residence?
- 8:19Speaker 1: So I'd like to hear you know. Instead, what Letitia
- 8:21Speaker 1: James immediately does is says, this is a Republican trick
- 8:25Speaker 1: and a conspiracy. No, just answer the question did you
- 8:28Speaker 1: sign that document? And if you did so, why, and
- 8:31Speaker 1: then how about the other documents at the other houses.
- 8:33Speaker 1: She has all the other houses she allegedly did the
- 8:35Speaker 1: same thing in So you have to scratch your head
- 8:38Speaker 1: and say, you are the attorney general at the very
- 8:41Speaker 1: least you should you should be out on a level
- 8:44Speaker 1: playing field with everybody else. She's trying to be above
- 8:46Speaker 1: the law here. And remember the Democrats kept saying about Trump.
- 8:49Speaker 1: No one is above the law. Seven ten wr the
- 8:53Speaker 1: Voice of New York. This is Ken Risotto in for
- 8:56Speaker 1: the wonderful Mark Simone and joining his day off. And
- 8:59Speaker 1: in New Jersey, my beloved state of New Jersey. New
- 9:02Speaker 1: Jersey lawmakers have introduced a bill that would ban ice
- 9:06Speaker 1: agents and other law enforcement who interact with the public
- 9:10Speaker 1: from wearing masks or what they call disguises. The bill
- 9:13Speaker 1: would still allow undercover officers and those wearing shields and
- 9:18Speaker 1: don't cover their faces. If the shields don't cover their
- 9:20Speaker 1: faces or medical masks that's permitted. Violators could face fines
- 9:25Speaker 1: of up to one thousand dollars and they could get
- 9:27Speaker 1: up to six months in jail. Senator Benji Wimberley, I
- 9:32Speaker 1: love it. Listen, don't name your kid Benji, because your
- 9:34Speaker 1: kid's going to grow up to be an adult male.
- 9:36Speaker 1: And how would you like to be fifty five years old?
- 9:38Speaker 1: And people say, hey, Benji, it's just not an adult name.
- 9:42Speaker 1: Just think about that, you know, I'm just saying, but
- 9:45Speaker 1: Senator Benji Wimberly said that he's concerned that masked officers
- 9:49Speaker 1: might intimidate immigrant communities, and he said that criminals could
- 9:53Speaker 1: impersonate ICE agents. Okay, really, then here's what I would
- 9:58Speaker 1: say to the ICE ICE senior officers. Tell everybody that
- 10:03Speaker 1: the officers are wearing medical masks, and in that case,
- 10:07Speaker 1: then you can't say that they're violating local law. But
- 10:10Speaker 1: more important than that, technically, because these are not technically
- 10:16Speaker 1: in actuality, because they are federal agents. And we have
- 10:19Speaker 1: something called the supremacy Clause in the Constitution. The state
- 10:24Speaker 1: or local governments can enact all the laws they want.
- 10:26Speaker 1: They do not apply to a federal agent. As long
- 10:29Speaker 1: as a federal agent is following the orders and following
- 10:32Speaker 1: federal law, you can pass all the local laws you want.
- 10:36Speaker 1: And if you try to touch that ICE agent, you
- 10:38Speaker 1: will have your ass holed into jail yourself. So I
- 10:41Speaker 1: guarantee I know a lot of New Jersey State Police officers,
- 10:44Speaker 1: I mean a lot, and they would not follow that order.
- 10:48Speaker 1: You know how, the little cadra of elected officials put
- 10:52Speaker 1: out that internet meme in the last week saying if
- 10:56Speaker 1: you are a member of the military, you do not
- 10:59Speaker 1: have to follow ill legal orders. Well, I say the
- 11:02Speaker 1: same thing now to the New Jersey State Police, and
- 11:04Speaker 1: I don't have to because they're well aware of it.
- 11:06Speaker 1: If New Jersey's legislature, which is all far left, radical
- 11:11Speaker 1: leftist liberals, if they enact a passive bill and the governor,
- 11:16Speaker 1: the new governor, Governor Mikey, if they sign that into
- 11:19Speaker 1: law and it says that you must arrest an ice
- 11:22Speaker 1: agent wearing a mask, I guarantee those state police will
- 11:26Speaker 1: say no, no, you go ahead and arrest them yourself. Senator,
- 11:31Speaker 1: I'm not going to arrest them because they know that
- 11:33Speaker 1: under the supremacy Clause of the Constitution, you, as a
- 11:36Speaker 1: state police officer in New Jersey, could be hauled up
- 11:39Speaker 1: against the wall and have your butt cuffed and taken
- 11:41Speaker 1: to federal prison if you try to stop a federal
- 11:44Speaker 1: agent from doing their job. Just a fact. If you
- 11:47Speaker 1: doubt me, or if you have an alternate opinion, try
- 11:50Speaker 1: and debate it. Go ahead, and I'll cite you the Constitution.
- 11:53Speaker 1: In fact, let's just do it right now, save you
- 11:55Speaker 1: the time. Okay. It's a direct violation of Article six
- 11:59Speaker 1: paragraph to US Constitution, which has quote a state or
- 12:02Speaker 1: municipality cannot pass a law that interferes with the execution
- 12:05Speaker 1: of federal law or the duties of federal agents. So
- 12:10Speaker 1: maybe the good state senators missed that day in school
- 12:13Speaker 1: in New Jersey. In our eleven o'clock hour, we will
- 12:15Speaker 1: speak to congressional candidate Billy Prempe, he is a Republican
- 12:19Speaker 1: running for Congress in New Jersey's ninth congressional district, about
- 12:24Speaker 1: the foolishness of states or local municipalities trying to pass
- 12:28Speaker 1: what are obviously symbolic laws that cannot be enforced. Seven
- 12:32Speaker 1: ten wore the Voice of New York Ken Rosanto in
- 12:36Speaker 1: from Mark the day before Thanks to Giving. Oh man,
- 12:40Speaker 1: do I love Thanksgiving? By the way, here, I remember
- 12:42Speaker 1: I told you I was going to talk about food.
- 12:44Speaker 1: For a second, I'm talking about food. I used to
- 12:47Speaker 1: work with the beautiful and awesome Laurie Stokes at Channel seven.
- 12:52Speaker 1: Remember Laurie. She is, by the way, off air, as
- 12:56Speaker 1: nice and as beautiful as on air. She is just
- 13:00Speaker 1: She's one of my closest friends in the world. And
- 13:03Speaker 1: Laurie is the type person if I don't talk to
- 13:05Speaker 1: her in a year, which isn't the case, but if
- 13:07Speaker 1: I don't talk to her in a year and then
- 13:08Speaker 1: I talk to her. It's like we've been talking every day.
- 13:11Speaker 1: Just a great lady. She is also one of the
- 13:13Speaker 1: best daring cooks you'll ever encounter. The food of if
- 13:16Speaker 1: you ever find yourself in that situation, it's delicious. She
- 13:20Speaker 1: taught me a recipe for stuffing that kicks a button.
- 13:23Speaker 1: I'm gonna talk about it through the show a little bit,
- 13:26Speaker 1: but I got to share that. In fact, it was
- 13:28Speaker 1: on my show that I do in New Jersey. We
- 13:31Speaker 1: taped it yesterday so I could put it on the
- 13:32Speaker 1: air and still come here. But the key is layers
- 13:35Speaker 1: of flavor. And Laurie takes She takes three types of breads.
- 13:41Speaker 1: She would take like rye bread sour dough, and like
- 13:45Speaker 1: a whole grain chunk type it in type, cut it
- 13:48Speaker 1: into chunks, toasted off with herbs like fresh stage tons
- 13:53Speaker 1: of fresh rosemary and a little melted butter. Toasts that
- 13:57Speaker 1: in the oven and then put that in a bowl
- 13:59Speaker 1: and add add some sauteed onions with garlic, a splash
- 14:03Speaker 1: of a stock that's reduced, and then bake that off
- 14:07Speaker 1: in the oven with more butter and more herbs. I'm
- 14:10Speaker 1: telling you it's crazy, But what she does is instead
- 14:12Speaker 1: of adding sausage, she takes dark meat like chicken thigh
- 14:16Speaker 1: meat and shreds that and puts that in. Because you're
- 14:18Speaker 1: in the poultry theme, you roast that off in the oven,
- 14:21Speaker 1: or bake that off in the oven and serve that.
- 14:23Speaker 1: I'm telling you it's the best darned stuffing. Somebody wants more,
- 14:26Speaker 1: a more detailed recipe, you could reach out to me
- 14:31Speaker 1: on Instagram, find my Instagram account, Ken Rosotto on Instagram
- 14:35Speaker 1: there and you'll you'll see that. Or or on Facebook.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I'm Ken Rosotto on Facebook too, and I will give
- 14:40Speaker 1: you this specific recipe. But it is good. Seven ten
