- 5:34Speaker 6: Have you used yours yet?
- 5:37Speaker 4: As far as a bottle opener.
- 5:38Speaker 4: I used one and then it disappeared.
- 5:41Speaker 4: You know completely it went.
- 5:44Speaker 4: Someone else ended up with it, so I don't know where it went, but it used to be hanging on my bedroom refrigerator.
- 5:51Speaker 6: Do you remind this past weekend opening some bottles out on the deck while I was grilling?
- 5:57Speaker 4: Yeah, it's pretty nice, ain't it?
- 5:59Speaker 4: Oh yeah, it'll stick to the grill too.
- 6:04Speaker 6: Not as hot as my grill was.
- 6:05Speaker 6: I should have, though, because you know what I'm gonna do with mine I'm gonna burn the edges of it to char, yeah you could do that you could do the level two char yeah you know I should have stuck it to the grill that day, yep, and then I would have got the level two char.
- 6:22Speaker 4: And then we've got the Scotchy Bourbon Boys Glen Caron's that will be for sale plus.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Now in a combo group you'll be able to purchase Glen Caron Holder official Glen Caron Holders.

- 6:40Speaker 4: I have to take off a hat and my headphones and that's just too much for me, right?
- 6:44Speaker 4: That's an official Glen Caron.

- 6:52Speaker 4: No, no, this is official.
- 6:53Speaker 4: We've got them.
- 6:54Speaker 4: We purchased them.

- 6:55Speaker 4: We didn't get the.
- 6:57Speaker 4: We're in the process of buying the ones with the logos on it our logo on it.
- 7:01Speaker 4: We actually were able to get a multiple dozen of multiple you know that is messed up, but anyways, multiple dozens of the official Glen Caron.
- 7:16Speaker 4: It has the Glen Caron.
- 7:18Speaker 4: You know it's got the Glen.
- 7:20Speaker 1: Caron logo and everything on it.

- 7:27Speaker 4: We are stocked up for that.
- 7:28Speaker 4: We'll be selling the T-shirts.
- 7:29Speaker 4: So at Bourbon on the Banks, you know you need to if you're in the area.
- 7:34Speaker 6: I've had several people ask me at the Bourbon Festival about the T-shirts and all that, but I did tell them that they would be available at Bourbon on the Banks.
- 7:42Speaker 6: So everybody that asked me at Kentucky Bourbon Festival about the T-shirts, get down to Bourbon on the Banks in Frankfurt this Saturday, october 7th, in Frankfurt, kentucky, and you can pick up those Scotchy Bourbon Boy T-shirts that you asked me about.
- 8:00Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna go full screen here.
- 8:02Speaker 4: All right, much better, there we go.
- 8:05Speaker 4: So tonight's podcast All right, so everybody knows they could find us on all the major, you know, podcast formats, plus Instagram, youtube, acts and Facebook.
- 8:19Speaker 4: So you know, check us out there.
- 8:21Speaker 4: We are pretty much enthralled in all those four mediums and it's been pretty exciting Doing pretty well.
- 8:31Speaker 4: Facebook is really coming through and then also YouTube is starting to go, so we're really starting to put out some good content there.
- 8:39Speaker 6: But, like as the top said, we're nationwide and now we're becoming worldwide.
- 8:46Speaker 4: There you go, so you know so what I want to talk about first is Like the Catalina.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Wine and Mixer.
- 8:54Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah.
- 8:56Speaker 4: Yeah, that's what this is gonna be.
- 8:58Speaker 4: Well, actually you could say the Kentucky Bourbon Festival is the Catalina Wine Mixer, because it is the premier Bourbon Festival, but let's talk about what happened at Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
- 9:13Speaker 4: This is our first live podcast back in the studio In a while.
- 9:17Speaker 4: Season four started, or you know, at Actually season five started.
- 9:23Speaker 4: This is our fifth season, Season five yeah.
- 9:25Speaker 4: We started our first, yeah, so season five started in, so at the beginning of Kentucky Bourbon Festival.
- 9:33Speaker 4: So all this season you know, Can I?
- 9:37Speaker 5: interrupt this commercial for an actual announcement.
- 9:40Speaker 5: What would be your announcement?
- 9:41Speaker 5: Absolutely, I didn't hear our theme song play.
- 9:46Speaker 4: Then you weren't paying attention.
- 9:50Speaker 5: No, you held your phone up, but then you froze.
- 9:54Speaker 6: Yeah, it was.
- 9:55Speaker 6: It started to play and then it froze.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Yeah, but it played on the audio, so we're all good.
- 9:59Speaker 4: It's like, yeah, it might have froze, but at the same time don't worry, the audio is playing for this and you know, no, actually the theme.
- 10:11Speaker 5: That's weird because you guys were there and I introduced you and then I froze right after I introduced you guys and I just maybe just proffer up since this is a special edition, like kind of Bourbon Festival wrap up, bourbon on the Banks kind of intro that maybe we should have a special theme song tonight.
- 10:34Speaker 4: Oh, no you got one ready?
- 10:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm sure he does.
- 10:36Speaker 4: It's probably has to do with SpongeBob, would be my guess, because you know.
- 10:45Speaker 6: Well, hit it whiskey.
- 10:49Speaker 5: No, yeah, okay, that was, that was Jeff.
- 10:52Speaker 5: What was me?
- 10:56Speaker 4: Didn't just hear that.
- 10:57Speaker 4: No, we did not hear anything, I didn't know.
- 11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, we're not really hearing it.
- 11:04Speaker 4: We can hear you.
- 11:07Speaker 6: We can hear you, but we're not hearing the music.
- 11:08Speaker 6: Hang on.
- 11:11Speaker 4: You got.
- 11:11Speaker 4: You got like three, 32 seconds left, let's go.
- 11:16Speaker 4: Well, now, this is no, we can't know.
- 11:23Speaker 5: God's less noise canceling technology.
- 11:25Speaker 5: There you go.
- 11:27Speaker 4: There are certain things that doesn't pick up.
- 11:28Speaker 4: You know what I mean.
- 11:29Speaker 4: I'm sure it would have been something fun.
- 11:34Speaker 4: I could just imagine whatever you were using and DC.
- 11:38Speaker 4: DC.
- 11:39Speaker 4: Oh, why is it coming across?
- 11:42Speaker 4: I mean, I could probably get that up pretty damn quick.
- 11:45Speaker 4: You know what I mean, cause it's in my, in my I just go to share screen and get it how you can see video on it.
- 11:53Speaker 4: But anyways, let's you know, kentucky Bourbon Festival this year, and compared to the years in the past, it was different, there's no doubt about it.
- 12:06Speaker 4: From the podcasting standpoint.
- 12:09Speaker 4: There wasn't as much opportunity for us to podcast at the festival, you know.
- 12:17Speaker 4: So we did a lot of videos.
- 12:19Speaker 4: Now here's one and I haven't told you whiskey this yet, but everybody's going to have for bourbon on the banks.
- 12:26Speaker 4: We're going to ask a specific question and each person, using their technology, is going to go out and consistently ask this question and then we're all going to put it in.
- 12:36Speaker 4: You saw each one of you accepted the shared file folder in your email, and so we need the pictures up from Kentucky Bourbon Festival from that, and then we also need the pictures up from bourbon on the banks and when we shoot these videos.
- 12:55Speaker 4: This is the way we'll all be able to share.
- 12:56Speaker 4: I need the files from Kentucky Bourbon Festival as soon as you guys can get them up.
- 13:01Speaker 4: Just all you got to do is connect to that folder and dump them in off your phone, but we are going to be making a book from it that each one of you guys will get, and we're going to.
- 13:12Speaker 4: So we want to take the best of the pictures that everybody took and put it into a book.
- 13:16Speaker 4: So that's what we're going to be doing there.
- 13:18Speaker 5: Do we get to pick the question we asked, jeff you are going to.
- 13:21Speaker 4: We are going to vote on it.
- 13:22Speaker 4: You have to have your question ready on Saturday and we're all going to vote on one.
- 13:27Speaker 4: It's like everybody can have their question of what they're going to ask.
- 13:30Speaker 4: What happened?
- 13:32Speaker 4: Kenny from Bourbon Pursuit was asking everybody what at Kentucky Bourbon Festival and made a really bunch of cool reels he made a nice little short video of he was asking everybody, including the distillers and the people, what was the most overrated Bourbon and that was what they asked and it was kind of cool how he put it all together Some people and what people thought and what they had.
- 14:01Speaker 4: So it was kind of cool.
- 14:02Speaker 4: So again, I've lost them again.
- 14:04Speaker 4: So what I'm going to do real quick, there we go.
- 14:08Speaker 4: So on the podcast, I'm going to open up a bottle and the bottle I'm opening is the Ambassador 86.
- 14:18Speaker 4: I don't understand how.
- 14:21Speaker 6: I don't have enough.
- 14:23Speaker 4: I just don't understand how I don't have enough bandwidth all of a sudden to be able to do.
- 14:29Speaker 4: I'm just, it's just.
- 14:31Speaker 4: At this point I'm just going to have to kick everybody off my internet.
- 14:34Speaker 6: We know that it worked out perfect and we carried the show.
- 14:38Speaker 6: And Kenny said that he asked the question what was the most overrated Bourbon this year?
- 14:49Speaker 6: Right, yeah.
- 14:54Speaker 5: So that would be pretty cool.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Yeah and then, but I'm, let's get to some of these Bourbons, one of the cool things about the festival.
- 15:04Speaker 4: This year the Kentucky Bourbon Festival was 100% the releases compared to years before this was there.
- 15:12Speaker 4: Last year we got a taste.
- 15:13Speaker 4: Last year we got a slam of it.
- 15:17Speaker 4: You look right now you can't see it on the audio.
- 15:20Speaker 4: But you got Super Nash here, bottle Little Book.
- 15:24Speaker 4: He's got his Ambassador 86 back there.
- 15:27Speaker 4: He's got his Bakers 12.
- 15:29Speaker 4: He's got Elijah Craig Barrel Proof two of them.
- 15:32Speaker 4: He's got two Heaven Hill selects.
- 15:37Speaker 6: He's got the Hardin's Creek, boston, the third in the series, the 17 year old Boston match and he's got two Curleys, he's got the Elijah Craig 18.
- 15:50Speaker 4: 18 year, two Curleys A Knob Creek 18 year Yep Knob Creek 18 was released.
- 16:00Speaker 6: Little Book 7 that was released and signed by Fred and Freddie Noe.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Yep, yep, they were signing.
- 16:07Speaker 4: They were signing about, I mean, bakers 13.
- 16:11Speaker 4: These are all releases that are almost impossible to get through.
- 16:17Speaker 4: I mean, the Bakers 13 was a distillery release.
- 16:20Speaker 4: Now the private select from Heaven.
- 16:22Speaker 6: Hill.
- 16:23Speaker 6: Yeah, last year Heaven Hill released one select stock.
- 16:28Speaker 6: This year they released two Heaven Hill select stocks.
- 16:31Speaker 6: They released a 13 year bourbon and they released an eight year.
- 16:36Speaker 6: This one was finished in Chick-Quapin, finished barrel for two years and then they released this eight year select stock rye and it was finished in air dried Chick-Quapin barrels too.
- 16:54Speaker 4: Yeah, I stayed away from the rye.
- 16:56Speaker 6: Wait a minute, the eight year old rye finished in another two years.
- 17:01Speaker 6: Yeah, it was finished in Chick-Quapin barrels.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Yeah, the bourbon was 13 years.
- 17:06Speaker 4: It was a 13 year old bourbon and the rye was an eight year.
- 17:10Speaker 4: Yeah, so I mean, what did you get?
- 17:14Speaker 4: Whiskey?
- 17:14Speaker 4: What was your premier bottle that you thought that you were happy to get from this?
- 17:21Speaker 4: You know, I know you were buying a lot for the charity, but what did you get for yourself?
- 17:29Speaker 5: I got a bottle at Jim Beam Extra Age black label.
- 17:32Speaker 5: That was pretty awesome.
- 17:37Speaker 4: Yeah, that's really hard to not find on the shelf all these times, right?
- 17:40Speaker 4: Yeah, you didn't get that.
- 17:42Speaker 4: It's like what did you get?
- 17:45Speaker 5: I usually did buy that while we were down there.
- 17:48Speaker 4: Why it's like you could buy that at Giant Eco.
- 17:52Speaker 4: What's the purpose of buying?
- 17:54Speaker 4: Why did you have to drive that?
- 17:56Speaker 5: across the country.
- 17:56Speaker 5: I needed a twenty dollar shelf for the tasting that we did last week.
- 18:04Speaker 4: So it was a little bit cheaper down there, you know what.
- 18:11Speaker 5: I'll tell you what hands down, jeff.
- 18:12Speaker 5: For me, the best bottle was Rare Perfection 15.
- 18:16Speaker 5: Even though it's technically a Canadian whiskey, I mean that stuff was super good.
- 18:27Speaker 4: I think everything at Preservation was super good.
- 18:31Speaker 4: I mean, rare Perfection 15 was like top of the line but tasting all the other tasting through their other.
- 18:37Speaker 4: Although you were tasting and putting it up against Rare Perfection 15, it wasn't, some of them weren't standing up.
- 18:45Speaker 4: But when you're talking about Rare Perfection 15, I actually think it's one of the better bourbons I've ever tasted in my life or not bourbons, but whiskey.
- 18:55Speaker 6: That was two more bottles that I picked up that I didn't even pull out here.
- 19:01Speaker 6: That was really nice.
- 19:02Speaker 6: I picked up that Old man Winner, rare Perfection, the Bourbon Reservation, which was like a 16 year, and then the 16 year old blend that they had I can't think of the name of it now and that was.
- 19:22Speaker 6: That was pretty doggone nice too.
- 19:25Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 19:27Speaker 6: I got that.
- 19:30Speaker 5: I was pleasantly surprised by and thanks to CT.
- 19:34Speaker 5: When we were at Heaven Hill I picked up a bottle of the Five Brothers that was there, jeff.
- 19:41Speaker 6: Oh, that's super good.
- 19:42Speaker 6: I love Five Brothers.
- 19:44Speaker 5: I've been looking for a high proof.
- 19:46Speaker 5: That stuff was super good.
- 19:48Speaker 4: No, five Brothers is a really good.
- 19:49Speaker 4: There's a couple of years, master Keep at Evan Williams.
- 19:56Speaker 4: That's one of my favorite two that I pick up.
- 19:59Speaker 4: So you're opening up your Boston batch of Hardin Creek.
- 20:03Speaker 4: I am going to open up now that one of the cool.
- 20:06Speaker 6: Are you going to open up that bottle of Fivingcock that you got there at Heaven?
- 20:11Speaker 2: Hill.
- 20:13Speaker 4: Whiskey's going to open that he got Fivingcock and Mellow Corn you picked up and then.
- 20:18Speaker 4: I think he got some JTS Brown right there Whiskey, anyways, this is a special 17 year old Hardin Creek Boston batch.
- 20:32Speaker 6: I'm going to pour it in my Scotchy Bourbon Boys Crystal Glen Cairne.
- 20:36Speaker 4: Well, listen to this.
- 20:37Speaker 4: This is my bottle I bought of.
- 20:41Speaker 4: Antonio Freeman has his own celebrity line.
- 20:44Speaker 4: It's an eight year Lucca Mariano.
- 20:47Speaker 4: Master Blender Jennifer Brant came up with this and Antonio was at the festival signing bottles.
- 20:58Speaker 4: He signed this bottle for me, too tiny, from free.
- 21:03Speaker 4: He said that's the first time he ever signed that that way.
- 21:08Speaker 4: Now you got I also have one where he signed it in Antonio Freeman 86, like the one that you have there, super Nash.
- 21:14Speaker 4: I've got some bottles, but I had to buy a third bottle because there's no way I'm ever drinking either one of those and I've got it and I am going to pop it right there.
- 21:24Speaker 4: I got that cork out.
- 21:26Speaker 4: This is a Bax three and this is bottle 612 of 673.
- 21:38Speaker 4: There's only 673.
- 21:40Speaker 4: And honestly, I'm going to put this into a rocks glass tonight because it's one of those.
- 21:46Speaker 6: Your bottle was six.
- 21:47Speaker 6: What number was it?
- 21:48Speaker 6: 612.
- 21:49Speaker 6: I was 604.
- 21:52Speaker 6: There you go.
- 21:53Speaker 4: Well, this is the.
- 21:54Speaker 4: This is the one I went back for.
- 21:56Speaker 4: And then let's see what's.
- 21:58Speaker 4: What's the bottle?
- 21:59Speaker 4: He signed here?
- 22:00Speaker 4: Oh, I'm 603 here.
- 22:04Speaker 4: So remember when he signed it free, I think I'm 602 and 603 and you were 604.
- 22:11Speaker 4: Look at the darkness and the richness in that glass, right?
- 22:14Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 22:16Speaker 4: Oh, the smell.
- 22:18Speaker 4: This is unlike.
- 22:20Speaker 4: This is an eight year.
- 22:21Speaker 4: This is the oldest that that Luca Mariano has put out yet, so it's really kind of cool.
- 22:30Speaker 4: They went away again, so I'll just keep talking.
- 22:32Speaker 4: The festival was pretty damn Exciting and really kind of cool there.
- 22:40Speaker 4: It just was the upgrades that they made.
- 22:44Speaker 4: The VIP was no longer too crowded, the area they had 52 distillers, they were spread out nice and the way that it was working was pretty cool that way.
- 22:55Speaker 4: So Overall, the layout of it was set up good.
- 23:00Speaker 4: As far as for podcasting, once again, we had talked about that from a podcasting standpoint the the setup there wasn't as good it is as for podcasting, but we were in the VIP Podcasting thing where the media went, so we got a lot of access to a lot of people I got to sit down for the first time with and Chris Christie good to see you.
- 23:29Speaker 4: Yep and now I got to sit down.
- 23:32Speaker 4: Yeah, hey, christie, I got to sit down with whiskey and we got to sit down with Fred.
- 23:42Speaker 4: No, in the media tent and that day, whiskey, I think.
- 23:48Speaker 4: Don't you think that Fred was pretty much in a good mood and very animated.
- 23:53Speaker 4: That's gonna be all right.
- 23:55Speaker 4: Now I sent Carl.
- 23:58Speaker 6: Carl Henley is watching.
- 23:59Speaker 6: Yeah, I thought that's a whiskey.
- 24:01Speaker 6: Carl Henley Whiskey's on the podcast with us.
- 24:10Speaker 6: Yeah, there you go anyways.
- 24:13Speaker 4: So that was a fun time with that.
- 24:16Speaker 4: We had with you know you guys locked up.
- 24:22Speaker 4: Again he's got to be doing the locking up, but that's a fun time that we had with Fred now.
- 24:27Speaker 4: So it was a really, really good time.
- 24:29Speaker 4: I Don't know why I'm just getting getting wasted here on my internet, so I'll just keep recording.
- 24:40Speaker 4: The other aspect of the the festival is we were able to Get enough bands so that between the media passes, so we were all able to go into the VIP media and we all were able to go into the VIP tent.
- 24:56Speaker 4: It was a wonderful festival, everything it just.
- 25:01Speaker 4: You had so much access to the actual.
- 25:07Speaker 4: You had so much access to the distillers there.
- 25:15Speaker 4: Let's just go over recording in progress.
- 25:18Speaker 4: Here we go again, so we're back.
- 25:20Speaker 4: So just you guys, I'm talking about the access that we had, so big we could get onto the bourbon on the banks.
- 25:26Speaker 4: But at Kentucky Bourbon Festival, super Nash, talk a little bit about the access that we had to all the distillers.
- 25:32Speaker 4: I mean the distillers that were there.
- 25:34Speaker 4: It was amazing all the different ones.
- 25:36Speaker 4: They were there and they weren't just there for a moment, they were there for the whole day in some cases.
- 25:42Speaker 4: And you know, going forward like that, yeah, it was amazing.
- 25:49Speaker 6: Oh, the ones that I got to talk to, I mean, it was just one after another, uh, and I mean just several minutes at a time, you know, and just out and about, they weren't just standing in inside their booze Like in the past years.
- 26:08Speaker 6: A lot of them, you know, they were inside the booth and they were out there and they were out walking and experiencing the festival just as much as we were.
- 26:17Speaker 6: And that's what made it so much more amazing, because they were out Greeting, meeting and greeting with all the festival goers.
- 26:28Speaker 6: You know, throughout the, the complex, you know, and and that's what a lot of the people were saying that they liked a lot about the this year's festival, that they liked a lot about this year's festival were being able to meet, not just have to stand in line, but they were being able to step right up and talk to the distillers themselves.
- 26:48Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean we had Aaron Harris all the whole.
- 26:54Speaker 4: He was there for the whole.
- 26:56Speaker 4: He was there Saturday or Thursday night and Friday, all day, friday, and we got to hang on with him.
- 27:04Speaker 4: You had Steve Nally.
- 27:05Speaker 4: He came over to the media tent, he was all over the place.
- 27:08Speaker 4: You had Fred and Freddie Noe were, if you didn't see them.
- 27:13Speaker 4: They were signing bottles, they were up on stage, they were in the media tent I mean the access.
- 27:21Speaker 4: And then they did the Jim Beam dinner on Friday night that me and Roxy got to attend.
- 27:25Speaker 4: Now, having the Crystal DeCanter VIP, we had access to each and every one person, to each and every one of the special.
- 27:38Speaker 4: There was brunches and lunches and dinners and that type of thing.
- 27:43Speaker 4: So we had access to that.
- 27:45Speaker 4: And you got to go to the Mixtures brunch, correct?
- 27:49Speaker 4: That's what you were saying.
- 27:50Speaker 4: Oh, there we go again.
- 27:53Speaker 4: I don't know what to do.
- 27:55Speaker 4: I'm gonna text my wife real quick and get.
- 28:01Speaker 5: Oh, here we go.
- 28:06Speaker 4: Sorry, we're gonna be going to Bourbon on the banks in a second.
- 28:10Speaker 4: The technical difficulties this time are, you know, it's kind of like it hits a choppy, chop, chop and I might have to do some editing here for the first time.
- 28:24Speaker 4: I learned how to do editing earlier this year, so I might just go in and edit this a little bit better.
- 28:30Speaker 4: But they'll be coming back on in a couple seconds and I am tasting this.
- 28:34Speaker 4: You did.
- 28:36Speaker 2: Recording in progress.
- 28:38Speaker 6: I'm back.
- 28:39Speaker 6: I don't know why I had 69 stuck in my head, but yeah, it was a 76 pot steel jug from the Pennsylvania Mixtures Distillery before it burnt down and, as both of them said that, that was a pretty memorable moment for them, for me to think of them and to open up something like that and share with them.
- 29:03Speaker 6: You know, in there for them.
- 29:04Speaker 4: So you just jumped in on the Mixtures part and what you were taught I just wanna let everybody know on the podcast what you were talking about is when we did podcast with Dan McKee and Andrea Wilson, we opened up a special little ceramic drug.
- 29:23Speaker 4: It was in such perfect condition she made note so much about the cardboard being in good condition and then the actual ceramic.
- 29:31Speaker 4: It looked like what you buy cheese caroffs.
- 29:34Speaker 4: It looked like a little cheese caroff that you know that ceramic thing where you put, but it was a whiskey jug, perfectly sealed, and that was us.
- 29:43Speaker 4: We got to share it with Dan and Andrea and it was really kind of a special moment.
- 29:51Speaker 4: And then you're under pressure for next year already I think you need to try and get one of those that King Tut, that King Tut, the canter full, because I got to taste that one another time with Matt Mayor.
- 30:04Speaker 4: But if you get that, that would freak out.
- 30:53Speaker 4: Remember I said, well, you got those at Mixtures and Andrea goes, but they're empty.
- 30:59Speaker 6: Yeah, yeah.
- 31:00Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 31:01Speaker 6: So, I'm already on the hunt for one of those.
- 31:03Speaker 6: That would be special.
- 31:06Speaker 5: We're going to have a nice big get an original Bomb Burgers off of that.
- 31:11Speaker 6: There you go.
- 31:12Speaker 6: That would be awesome.
- 31:15Speaker 4: Yeah, definitely on original Bomb Burgers.
- 31:17Speaker 4: Then we could put it up to next year's Bomb Burgers side by side, maybe do a tasting with them.
- 31:22Speaker 4: But that was a lot of fun.
- 31:24Speaker 4: I've already got the pecan soaking in my mixtures.
- 31:28Speaker 4: You guys all, if you were watching the reels the pecans are soaking in the mixtures, so we're ready to go with that.
- 31:36Speaker 6: Look now, I was looking through my dad's bottles, you know the bean bottles, the Ezra and the JWDant, and I've got one more JWDant.
- 31:52Speaker 4: Lost them again.
- 31:53Speaker 4: It's just unbelievable.
- 31:55Speaker 4: I don't know what to do.
- 31:57Speaker 4: I can't.
- 31:57Speaker 4: This is just must be my internet tonight I've got all my devices shut off, not doing anything.
- 32:05Speaker 4: So, anyways, he'll talk about the, I will talk about the JWDant, but let's get into now.
- 32:11Speaker 4: We should get into a little bit of what's coming up.
- 32:14Speaker 4: This is about bourbon on the banks week.
- 32:16Speaker 4: So I think this is the first podcast that we're going to ever experience this kind of technical difficulty.
- 32:23Speaker 4: But they keep popping in and I keep talking, so this should amuse you.
- 32:26Speaker 4: But I will switch.
- 32:28Speaker 4: I'll get him to tell the story about the JWDant as soon as he comes back, but and then we'll get on with bourbon in the banks.
- 32:35Speaker 4: So I'm drinking on this 86, ambassador 86, and this is a really good.
- 32:41Speaker 4: This is good.
- 32:42Speaker 4: It's probably the best celebrity bourbon that I've ever drank and so excited about that.
- 32:50Speaker 4: But, antonio Freeman, you know I'm a Packer fan and he has always been one of my heroes.
- 32:56Speaker 4: He's recording in progress.
- 32:57Speaker 4: So you're back.
- 32:58Speaker 4: So hey, so go back to the JW you froze right.
- 33:01Speaker 4: As you were talking about, I was going to get another JWDant, so go review that for.
- 33:07Speaker 6: I've got one more JWDant.
- 33:10Speaker 6: Old JWDant it's about a 68 and it's still full and I'm kind of I think I wanted to can it because the core on this one looks a little bit iffy, like it's, you know, ready.
- 33:30Speaker 4: God darn, it Can't get off of that.
- 33:41Speaker 4: Let's see if I can get off Anyone else who uses internet.
- 33:45Speaker 4: So anyways, so they're gone.
- 33:47Speaker 4: So let's just keep talking about the 86, the notes on this, that's a very high ride.
- 33:58Speaker 4: This could be my ring camera doing the same thing.
- 34:06Speaker 4: I really like this.
- 34:08Speaker 4: This has a bourbon, a sweetness, a peppery aspect of it.
- 34:16Speaker 4: There's the right amount of just the right amount of you know spice, so it's something that I like.
- 34:27Speaker 4: All right, so you were going to decant it.
- 34:30Speaker 4: So what happened?
- 34:32Speaker 4: All right, so you had.
- 34:33Speaker 4: That's what you're thinking of doing is decanting it.
- 34:35Speaker 4: That's where we're at.
- 34:38Speaker 6: Well, it'll be after.
- 34:39Speaker 6: Yeah, I don't have time to mess with it this week, but it'll be probably after I get back from bourbon on the banks I'll decide what to do with it.
- 34:46Speaker 6: Okay, yeah, I want to get up, you know, with the log steel distillery and open it, this one up with Wally and Lynn and Charles.
- 34:56Speaker 4: That would be nice if we could, but we might have to go to Heaven Hill and do it.
- 35:00Speaker 4: Man, come on, so anyways.
- 35:12Speaker 4: So we're going to.
- 35:13Speaker 4: When he comes back we'll talk about, we'll get right into bourbon on the banks, but in between I am going to open up this.
- 35:21Speaker 4: I've been excited to do this barrel proof.
- 35:26Speaker 4: I believe I got to make sure I open up the right one.
- 35:30Speaker 4: One's a private select.
- 35:32Speaker 4: This is the C923.
- 35:37Speaker 4: That's what I'm opening up.
- 35:38Speaker 4: That's the third edition.
- 35:41Speaker 4: This is a 133 proof, elijah Craig.
- 35:45Speaker 4: So pick that up.
- 35:49Speaker 4: All right, maybe we can hold it together.
- 35:51Speaker 4: I don't know, but let's try it.
- 35:54Speaker 4: Well, I did the.
- 35:55Speaker 4: While you guys were gone, I drank some of the Ambassador 86 and gave it some notes.
- 36:01Speaker 4: I'm going to, I want to, oh, prove it.
- 36:04Speaker 4: Watch this.
- 36:05Speaker 4: Yes, prove it.
- 36:06Speaker 4: I'm proving it.
- 36:07Speaker 4: Here we go.
- 36:07Speaker 4: How was it?
- 36:09Speaker 4: I like it.
- 36:10Speaker 4: It's got a corn rice spice, it's got some fruit, it's got some oak.
- 36:15Speaker 4: It's not a sweet bourbon, and you know, it's a bourbon, a man's bourbon.
- 36:26Speaker 4: But I'm opening up this C923.
- 36:31Speaker 4: I was told that this was probably the best tasting bottle that there was.
- 36:38Speaker 4: Like it's a 133 proof.
- 36:41Speaker 4: It's a Lysia Craig that was there and I was told that it was.
- 36:46Speaker 4: You know, when they were tasting it, everybody just told me that this was the best batch.
- 36:51Speaker 4: So I'm opening it now and I'm gonna put it up against what I remember on our Barrel Pack.
- 36:57Speaker 4: Distillers Row series no, no, no, no, no.
- 37:00Speaker 4: The other one, the C923.
- 37:02Speaker 6: Yeah, I got it right up behind me here.
- 37:05Speaker 4: Yeah, this is the one that Distillers Row.
- 37:09Speaker 4: I didn't open it and I might, but this is, I'm gonna.
- 37:15Speaker 4: I wanna see what this is like.
- 37:17Speaker 4: It's a 133 proof Our pick of Lysia Craig and everybody know that we have a pick.
- 37:24Speaker 4: It's out there.
- 37:25Speaker 4: You could contact me, facebook Messenger me and I could get you into the group for the pick.
- 37:31Speaker 4: As far as pre-buying, we're gonna also be, you'll be able to pre-buy vouchers at the festival or, you know, the bourbon on the banks.
- 37:42Speaker 4: This weekend also, we will have Venmo.
- 37:45Speaker 4: We'll accept Venmo and you'll be able to get a voucher.
- 37:48Speaker 4: And then you're looking at what Whiskey picked up for me.
- 37:52Speaker 4: He was just in Kentucky and picked me up one of those little bottles that he just put there.
- 37:57Speaker 4: But in the meantime I'm gonna use this little Glen Caron here and pour some in my little holder and pour some of this in here, because he loves the EC toasted and this one of his faves there Whiskey.
- 38:12Speaker 6: Who does Don Redd?
- 38:15Speaker 6: No, I've never forgotten a couple of times me and Carl was talking about he was sipping on some Elijah Craig toasted there.
- 38:25Speaker 4: Tons of pepper, some chocolate this one's a chocolate bomb.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I'm just.
- 38:31Speaker 4: I don't think I ever got dirt chocolate on a nose like I got on this.
- 38:35Speaker 4: This is crazy.
- 38:37Speaker 4: But it is ethanol.
- 38:40Speaker 4: I mean this 133, there's mint too.
- 38:42Speaker 4: There's a menthol.
- 38:44Speaker 4: Put that 133 point.
- 38:48Speaker 4: Let's see 133 proof.
- 38:53Speaker 4: Well, that's a high.
- 38:55Speaker 4: That's C923 barrel proof.
- 38:58Speaker 4: I mean, you're talking about barrel proof.
- 39:00Speaker 4: You're talking about a batch that they mixed together and they kept it at 133.
- 39:06Speaker 4: Think about how high those barrels had to be that they were mixing there.
- 39:10Speaker 4: Whiskey Did you pick up this bottle?
- 39:14Speaker 4: You're muted.
- 39:17Speaker 4: Unmute yourself.
- 39:18Speaker 4: Hold on, hold on, here we go.
- 39:25Speaker 4: There you are, are you back?
- 39:31Speaker 4: Yeah, now I can hear you.
- 39:33Speaker 4: Did you pick up one of these?
- 39:37Speaker 5: No, you know what the barrel pick coming out, jeff, I was, since I got to taste that ahead of time.
- 39:43Speaker 5: On the pick, I said to myself, if I'm gonna buy some Elijah Craig barrel strength, I'm gonna buy the Scotchie Bourbon Boyce one.
- 39:50Speaker 5: That was a damn good taste in barrel.
- 39:53Speaker 4: Yeah, I'm gonna tell you.
- 39:55Speaker 5: Well, your ass is like front and center on your camera there and honestly, it's definitely your better side.
- 40:03Speaker 4: Yeah, just leave that there.
- 40:04Speaker 4: It matches your chair.
- 40:06Speaker 4: All I'm gonna tell you is this is 133 and it drinks not 133, but our pick blows this the fuck away.
- 40:22Speaker 5: The reason I picked barrel or the toasted barrel tonight was I just kind of wanted something a little lighter.
- 40:27Speaker 5: But I was impressed with the amount of just good, hard allocated bottles.
- 40:35Speaker 5: You could just walk right up to the distiller at the festival and just buy.
- 40:39Speaker 5: Oh yeah, that was impressive to me.
- 40:41Speaker 5: I mean EC toasted barrel, EC barrel strength, some of the cast shrinks from some of the other distillers.
- 40:52Speaker 5: But you talked a little bit about being and what they were dropping.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Yeah, but that baker's 13, although it's 159.99, right, but that is something that's not even like allocated in this and Ohio doesn't see it.
- 41:12Speaker 4: You could have probably bought as many bottles as you want.
- 41:16Speaker 4: It was there Friday, Saturday.
- 41:19Speaker 4: It was there Friday and Saturday, and you could have been back in line multiple times.
- 41:27Speaker 5: Don't you agree?
- 41:28Speaker 5: I agree, ross, the baker's 13 was definitely a poor, I mean.
- 41:34Speaker 5: But you know, not everybody that watches the podcast or listens to the podcast or watches us on YouTube wants to go out and drop $200 on a bottle of rare perfection or 150 on a baker's 13.
- 41:49Speaker 5: So I kind of thought I'd grab one of these more approachable bottles and share that tonight, because it's fun to throw those $200 bottles around.
- 41:59Speaker 5: I mean hell, I came home with four Elijah Craig 18s.
- 42:05Speaker 5: I mean you're lucky if you see one in your life that is under $500 at a liquor store somewhere, and to buy a four at retail and bring them home was insane.
- 42:17Speaker 4: I've been able to.
- 42:18Speaker 6: Yeah, I got two of them myself, and I just realized too, this one right now in 23 is a 13 year seven month old barrel proof.
- 42:29Speaker 4: Yeah, that is why Look at the color.
- 42:33Speaker 6: Oh yeah, and it and the legs.
- 42:35Speaker 4: What I'm going to tell you.
- 42:36Speaker 4: Our nine year has a aspect hey.
- 42:43Speaker 5: Jeff, yeah, ours is nine year.
- 42:45Speaker 5: No-transcript.
- 42:48Speaker 4: It's a hundred and yeah, it's a hundred and twenty.
- 42:50Speaker 4: It was a hundred and twenty point seven and it was eight years, ten months and by the time it's bottled it will be nine year.
- 43:01Speaker 4: Yes, it's a nine year.
- 43:02Speaker 4: I could say a nine year because that's what it's gonna be when it gets bottled.
- 43:07Speaker 4: Me and what was her name?
- 43:11Speaker 4: I forget what our person, she, we basically talked about that.
- 43:16Speaker 4: She said, yeah, it's gonna.
- 43:18Speaker 4: She at first wasn't sure and then she's like, yeah, it's gonna be.
- 43:21Speaker 4: She goes.
- 43:21Speaker 4: They tell you twelve to sixteen weeks and we are, I believe in.
- 43:26Speaker 4: Elizabeth.
- 43:28Speaker 6: Elizabeth.
- 43:29Speaker 4: Could have been.
- 43:29Speaker 4: No, anyways, just make shit up.
- 43:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I think it was Micaela, micaela, so anyways, alright, so we've covered the festival, we've covered this, the.
- 43:45Speaker 4: I wish CT was here because he was able to cover that festival from the craft distillery.
- 43:52Speaker 4: Isn't it sad that we went down there on a Monday and we did not stop?
- 44:02Speaker 4: I mean, it was so weird.
- 44:04Speaker 4: Nash, there you go, you're okay.
- 44:08Speaker 4: So I lost.
- 44:09Speaker 4: Whiskey is froze up, but you're not.
- 44:11Speaker 4: Are you there, nash?
- 44:12Speaker 4: Oh, you're not.
- 44:14Speaker 6: Wait, should I try that?
- 44:15Speaker 6: Let's see, he just looks like he's froze up every now and then he gets.
- 44:19Speaker 6: Now you're froze.
- 44:21Speaker 6: No, I'm not, so do.
- 44:25Speaker 4: I, when I go, do I freeze up first before it starts?
- 44:28Speaker 4: I have no idea.
- 44:29Speaker 4: Yeah, okay.
- 44:30Speaker 4: So anyways, you know CT's been down there.
- 44:34Speaker 4: It's great.
- 44:35Speaker 4: Another thing we did is with Kenny Fuller's intro.
- 44:40Speaker 4: We've Bo Cumberland has basically took our intro and updated it, so we've got everybody in it.
- 44:49Speaker 6: Hold up.
- 44:49Speaker 6: I'd just like to say that Ross Cornelson is here.
- 44:53Speaker 6: Cornelison, that's what I said Cornelison he said the baker's 13.
- 45:00Speaker 4: Ah, damn, damn, damn damn.
- 45:04Speaker 4: So we'll wait for him to come back with Ross's comment.
- 45:09Speaker 4: Once again, that was a that was some couple minutes in there, but we're gonna.
- 45:14Speaker 4: When we come back, we'll find out what Ross's comment is and I'll just tell you about this.
- 45:19Speaker 4: Elijah Craig Barrelproof C923.
- 45:24Speaker 4: No, I'm not tricky, I just did.
- 45:29Speaker 4: Oh, they're gonna come back quick.
- 45:30Speaker 4: Comparer Ooh, that pulled off something.
- 45:35Speaker 4: Oh, 13 year 133 proof.
- 45:43Speaker 4: Wow, so that explains Matt's.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Alright, so really quick.
- 45:55Speaker 4: What did Ross say?
- 45:57Speaker 6: Alright, he said the baker's 13 was fantastic.
- 46:00Speaker 6: Freddie know poured me some and it was worth worth the price in my opinion.
- 46:06Speaker 6: And then he says thank you, tiny yeah.
- 46:11Speaker 6: And John Ritz at F and Zoom, lol, yeah.
- 46:17Speaker 6: And then Ross comes back and he says Ohio problems, well.
- 46:22Speaker 4: I have no idea what the problems are tonight, but they won't happen again because, you know, my granddaughter will not be on her tablet and my wife won't be on the you know, on Netflix next time we do this.
- 46:37Speaker 4: So they're gonna just have to sacrifice and just stick with straight direct TV instead of the streaming service.
- 46:46Speaker 4: Let's see how that works.
- 46:47Speaker 4: I'm just gonna be.
- 46:49Speaker 4: Every single podcast from now on is just gonna be F'd, anyways.
- 46:54Speaker 4: So let's talk about real quick.
- 46:56Speaker 4: This is Bourbon on the Banks week.
- 46:58Speaker 4: Alright, we got Whiskey coming down with his wife, you're coming, you're coming.
- 47:05Speaker 4: You're flying in on Thursday night with Sherry which is awesome that she's coming Me and Roxy will be headed down Friday morning.
- 47:15Speaker 4: I have been talking to Macaulay, minted from formerly of Wilderness Trail, and he now has a distillery called the Dark Arts and it's in Lexington.
- 47:32Speaker 4: Now he's gonna be busy from 10 to 4 setting up, because obviously he's going to be at Bourbon on the Banks and we're gonna get to see Macaulay.
- 47:43Speaker 4: But I was trying to get someplace to go, so maybe we can meet him like 8 o'clock in the morning at his place.
- 47:54Speaker 4: Wake his ass up.
- 47:56Speaker 4: I don't know you can be there.
- 47:58Speaker 4: I know I can.
- 47:59Speaker 4: If I have to, I'll leave at 1.
- 48:00Speaker 4: Because I'm, you know, lexington.
- 48:04Speaker 4: It would be 5 hours or it's 4.40.
- 48:08Speaker 4: 30 minutes.
- 48:09Speaker 4: So if I left, if I had to be there by 8, I could leave at 3.45 and get there by 8.
- 48:17Speaker 6: So Whoa wake up right by the airport.
- 48:22Speaker 4: Yeah, but you're in Louisville, so you're an hour away, not a problem.
- 48:30Speaker 4: I gotta see what I can hook up, maybe 9 to 10.
- 48:32Speaker 4: If that's 9 to 10, that means I leave at you know 4 and I get there by 9.
- 48:38Speaker 6: No problem for us.
- 48:40Speaker 4: And then.
- 48:41Speaker 4: So we'll be in Lexington.
- 48:42Speaker 4: And then what we could do afterwards we could go over to meet up with Aaron from Happy Hour Liquor.
- 48:50Speaker 4: Maybe we can see him there.
- 48:52Speaker 4: Aaron Rothke, I believe that's his name, correct.
- 48:56Speaker 4: Yeah, there's a lot of stuff we could do.
- 48:57Speaker 4: Hey, Whiskey, when do you plan on getting down?
- 49:01Speaker 4: We're supposed we all have to get, oh, bourbon 30.
- 49:05Speaker 4: That could be it.
- 49:10Speaker 4: Yeah, I feel like making a blend.
- 49:12Speaker 6: That's James Mattingly, bourbon 30 and they basically let you we hadn't been there in about two years.
- 49:19Speaker 4: Yeah, I want to be there in last year.
- 49:25Speaker 5: What?
- 49:25Speaker 5: What was that Last year?
- 49:26Speaker 5: No, no, no, you went last year.
- 49:28Speaker 4: Yeah, we went last year right before the festival.
- 49:30Speaker 4: That was when that was before the break.
- 49:33Speaker 4: Yeah, so why don't?
- 49:38Speaker 4: Hey, do you want to meet?
- 49:39Speaker 4: Hey, so what are you doing?
- 49:40Speaker 4: Whiskey to get down there.
- 49:41Speaker 4: I mean, when do you have to do anything?
- 49:44Speaker 4: On Friday?
- 49:45Speaker 4: You drive in Thursday.
- 49:46Speaker 4: What are you doing to get down there?
- 49:49Speaker 4: Because at two o'clock we got to all be actually at the festival setting up with the tents and the tables and the chairs, and I am coming at lunch tomorrow.
- 49:58Speaker 4: You gotta come up there.
- 50:01Speaker 4: We'll throw the shit into the truck and if you wanna go to lunch, we could.
- 50:04Speaker 4: What do you think I'm?
- 50:09Speaker 2: about to go to lunch.
- 50:10Speaker 2: What?
- 50:11Speaker 5: I'll be here, you'll be there.
- 50:13Speaker 5: I gotta do somebody's review at one o'clock, so Okay, so if I get there I'll come up.
- 50:19Speaker 4: I wanna.
- 50:19Speaker 4: Okay, so I'll leave about 11.30, get up there about quarter to.
- 50:22Speaker 4: I mean, if you gotta do someone's review at one o'clock, we could probably do a jersey's real quick, don't we?
- 50:30Speaker 6: You doing a bourbon review?
- 50:33Speaker 4: No, you know, he did his bourbon reviews the last two days.
- 50:38Speaker 4: He was just like I love it.
- 50:43Speaker 4: I love it.
- 50:43Speaker 4: A lot of bourbon in the last two days, oh yeah, oh yeah.
- 50:47Speaker 4: But then we're going to be down at bourbon in the banks, we'll set up, we'll do some party on Friday and then we're gonna.
- 50:53Speaker 4: So I'm thinking after we two to three if we get there at two, we'll probably be done by four.
- 50:59Speaker 4: We'll head over, check into the mansion, the haunted 1800s mansion that we have.
- 51:08Speaker 2: And you know.
- 51:09Speaker 4: I don't know if we bring.
- 51:11Speaker 4: I just wanna show you what I got.
- 51:13Speaker 4: I got this in the mail today and I'm just wanted to show you.
- 51:16Speaker 4: Guys, hold on.
- 51:19Speaker 5: Is it your new thong you've been talking about?
- 51:24Speaker 6: Look at this it better not be your swimsuit.
- 51:27Speaker 4: Look at this, know what this is the mansion's got a swimming pool.
- 51:32Speaker 6: Know what this is.
- 51:33Speaker 4: This is a bourbon bag and it's full of bourbon.
- 51:38Speaker 4: The only thing that would make it better is if, like, there was a side pocket that you could put bacon in it.
- 51:44Speaker 4: So this is full.
- 51:48Speaker 4: It holds eight bottles of bourbon.
- 51:50Speaker 4: I bought it off the.
- 51:52Speaker 4: It's the coolest bag ever.
- 51:55Speaker 4: I've got really good surprises for you guys too.
- 51:59Speaker 4: There's some good shit in this bag.
- 52:02Speaker 6: You're like a mini one of those that I can have that you got for me.
- 52:07Speaker 4: You thought I purchased that.
- 52:09Speaker 4: And then I totally, I totally upped our game, totally upped our game when it comes to coming in.
- 52:17Speaker 4: I got another leather camera bag, so I got two leather camera bags coming in with the thing I'm, we are going to, we are, it's going to be great.
- 52:30Speaker 6: You're coming in instead of coming out.
- 52:33Speaker 4: Yeah, whatever.
- 52:33Speaker 4: I'm having some of look at this, look at, look at look at.
- 52:38Speaker 5: I'm impressed that he's still coming yeah at almost 60.
- 52:43Speaker 6: Yeah, exactly.
- 52:45Speaker 4: This I'm just going to tell you I like this bourbon, this Elijah Craig, but our pick is got so much flavor, I will be.
- 52:55Speaker 4: I seriously think people are going to want that.
- 53:00Speaker 4: It's a.
- 53:01Speaker 4: It is a honey sweetness.
- 53:04Speaker 4: This doesn't have any sweetness.
- 53:07Speaker 6: This one is peppery and hot.
- 53:12Speaker 4: Not that hot though for 133.
- 53:14Speaker 4: But there's a little bit of chocolate and char at that 13 year, all right.
- 53:23Speaker 4: So one last time and then hopefully, when they come back, we'll talk about bourbon on the banks and we'll get out of here as fast as we can.
- 53:33Speaker 4: So that time we got a little bit of time in between and I really appreciate everybody.
- 53:40Speaker 4: The other aspect of what we had at there was the actual To come back.
- 53:46Speaker 4: I mean tiny to come back.
- 53:47Speaker 4: Wow, you did come back, without ever losing.
- 53:52Speaker 6: You froze up just for a minute, when we thought you were going to be gone.
- 53:56Speaker 4: Yeah, I froze up.
- 53:57Speaker 4: And I came back.
- 53:57Speaker 4: Wow, the tablet must be.
- 54:00Speaker 4: She must have fallen asleep.
- 54:02Speaker 4: So, also, I got this at the festival with my VIP.
- 54:08Speaker 4: This was the Bardstown Bourbon Company Kentucky Bourbon Festival pick and it's signed by Steve Nally.
- 54:18Speaker 4: You could see that right there.
- 54:19Speaker 4: It's pretty cool.
- 54:21Speaker 4: It's got the distillers row, but that was only available Now.
- 54:25Speaker 4: Did you get one of those whiskey with your?
- 54:27Speaker 4: Yeah, you got one too, so it was available.
- 54:34Speaker 5: I just got the with the bottle, but I'm still waiting for the rest of my stuff to show up.
- 54:40Speaker 5: They ran out of big boy t-shirts and stuff, so yeah, I'm waiting for my t-shirt to you.
- 54:48Speaker 4: You did get your lanyard, though, right.
- 54:53Speaker 5: That was in the package.
- 54:53Speaker 5: Well, jeff, I did a bad thing.
- 54:56Speaker 5: I opened my bottle of this toasted oak foregrain from Woodford that I got yesterday.
- 55:02Speaker 5: Yeah, wow.
- 55:07Speaker 4: Damn, now I'm freezing.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Come on.
- 55:10Speaker 4: Come on, don't die, bring me back.
- 55:13Speaker 4: Bring me back.
- 55:14Speaker 4: He's going to have to give you the Woodford thing.
- 55:18Speaker 4: He's probably going to keep mine, so, anyways, let's get that out of the way.
- 55:25Speaker 4: We'll put Antonio right here, the ambassador.
- 55:28Speaker 4: Anyways, we'll put that there I'll be drinking water.
- 55:33Speaker 4: I'll wait.
- 55:34Speaker 4: So, anyways, yep, I went away Going to reestablish, but bourbon on the banks, that was yesterday.
- 55:41Speaker 4: Wow, that came back a little bit quicker.
- 55:45Speaker 5: All right.
- 55:45Speaker 5: So if you are, if you're thinking about stopping for bourbon on the banks, yeah, I would stop on the way in early.
- 55:53Speaker 5: Yeah, because with everybody coming into town, I think it's going to be easy to pick off and I don't think it'll last.
- 55:59Speaker 4: So what, what, what were the flavors?
- 56:01Speaker 6: on it.
- 56:02Speaker 6: I might have to run there, run by there First thing Friday morning.
- 56:11Speaker 6: I'll have a.
- 56:12Speaker 4: Hey, wait Me, I'll have the hundred bucks for you tomorrow, so I'll give you the money for the Woodford pick that up when I do that and then also give you the money for the food that night.
- 56:25Speaker 5: So that's right, so good.
- 56:27Speaker 5: I wish they're making a big deal out of this bottle, jeff, by the way, because it's the first one.
- 56:33Speaker 5: Yeah, usually your features the name of their master distiller, and this is the word first one, with Elizabeth McCall on it.
- 56:39Speaker 5: Yep.
- 56:42Speaker 6: Yeah, so what's the?
- 56:44Speaker 6: Are you a hundred bucks for?
- 56:47Speaker 4: Well, I owe him for the bottle, because he picked up one of those for me.
- 56:50Speaker 4: He called me up and said do you want one?
- 56:52Speaker 4: And I said yeah.
- 56:53Speaker 6: How much it is a hundred bucks.
- 56:55Speaker 5: No, it's not.
- 56:55Speaker 5: I think it's a.
- 56:57Speaker 5: It's 60 bus tax.
- 56:58Speaker 5: It works out about 65.
- 57:00Speaker 4: And then, and then the night when we did the thing, we split the chicken, so I stole him for that.
- 57:06Speaker 4: So I just 100 bucks.
- 57:08Speaker 6: Well, I'll give you, I'll give you 70 bucks for his bottle.
- 57:11Speaker 6: I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, I'll, venmo it to you tonight.
- 57:17Speaker 5: Is that what you call that sexual move?
- 57:19Speaker 5: Jeff, split the chicken.
- 57:21Speaker 4: Split the chicken.
- 57:22Speaker 4: Yep, that's what it is, all right, so let's.
- 57:26Speaker 4: So.
- 57:26Speaker 4: We're going to be the scotchy bourbon boys are going to be at bourbon on the banks.
- 57:29Speaker 4: We're going to be selling merchandise, but bourbon on the banks is a Glen Caron's Yep, glen Caron's but.

- 57:40Speaker 6: What's on Jeff's neck?
- 57:41Speaker 4: And we've got the the bottle.
- 57:43Speaker 4: No, no, just so you know.
- 57:47Speaker 4: My wife has been sticking magnets to the tops.
- 57:51Speaker 6: Hold the, the, the land you're the, the Glen Caron holder.
- 57:56Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 57:59Speaker 5: It's like, it's like.
- 58:00Speaker 5: It's like a Glen Caron thong.
- 58:03Speaker 6: It's like a Glen Caron thong.
- 58:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and what it does is allow you to go around to all the different places and get your tastings and not have to hold your glass.
- 58:15Speaker 4: You get the whiskey and then you walk around drink it when you want.
- 58:19Speaker 4: It's just a kind of a nice thing.
- 58:21Speaker 4: You got your water bottle.
- 58:22Speaker 4: Rinse it out a couple of times.
- 58:23Speaker 4: There's no doubt that this, this, when we went this past weekend and dimmick of OHLQ Shout out to Ann Uh met me at the Ohio craft distillers festival in Delaware, wisconsin or Ohio, and it was at the Hemnick farms, which is a brewery.
- 58:53Speaker 4: They are a farm and they're a brewery, but they have this, this space, to throw this awesome whiskey festival.
- 59:02Speaker 4: So all the Ohio whiskey festivals were represented and me and Ann hung out and had a good time.
- 59:10Speaker 4: But we had these lanyards and I'm telling you, if you've got one of these, you're the talk of the festival, because, because everybody's like, I want one, but this time at Bourbon on the banks.
- 59:24Speaker 4: If you're at Bourbon on the banks there's not a lot of them, but you get the deal, you get the glass and you get the lanyard and you'll be able to go around and taste different than anybody else at the.
- 59:39Speaker 4: You know everybody's gonna.
- 59:39Speaker 4: Now I'm not sure yet if it's going to work with the glassware that they give out at Bourbon on the banks, but I got a.
- 59:48Speaker 4: I got a kind of an idea.
- 59:51Speaker 4: I think it would actually work.
- 59:53Speaker 4: I think you can make it work.
- 59:54Speaker 6: But you'll have some Scotchy Bourbon boys, glen Caron's for sale right.
- 59:58Speaker 4: Yeah, we got Glen Caron's and there'll be a deal, the lanyard with the Glen Caron, you know.
- 1:00:05Speaker 4: So that'll be there.
- 1:00:07Speaker 4: Stop stop by, all right.
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: So we lost them one more time and we're getting to the point where we are going to say goodnight, but I will wait for those guys to come back.
- 1:00:19Speaker 4: This ambassador 86, if you get a chance, you really want to pick up a bottle.
- 1:00:28Speaker 4: It's got nice grain chocolate, a malt chocolate there, and it's an eight year, so it's really starting to pick up some of the of the barrel.
- 1:00:41Speaker 4: It's starting to pick up that nice flavor of the barrel.
- 1:00:43Speaker 4: So that's it.
- 1:00:55Speaker 6: So where are we at this weekend, geoff.
- 1:01:00Speaker 4: We're going to be at Bourbon on the banks and everybody come on and we will.
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: We will be represented.
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: We'll have a tent there.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: Uh, I'm going to pick it uh.
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: Pick it up, uh, tomorrow at lunchtime.
- 1:01:14Speaker 4: Uh, we'll drive it down, set her up and on Fridays, the setup.
- 1:01:19Speaker 4: Friday night, if you can come down Friday night, uh, what happens in Frankfurt is a party.
- 1:01:25Speaker 4: Uh, that's going to be a party.
- 1:01:26Speaker 4: It's, uh, the festival on the streets which is downtown Frankfurt.
- 1:01:34Speaker 6: Kentucky, right on Main Street, and it's a family fun field event.
- 1:01:39Speaker 6: Uh, there's going to be like live, uh circus type, uh entertainment walking around and bands performing their acts and stuff like that.
- 1:01:49Speaker 6: Uh, there's going to be street vendors food and entertainment, uh, and lots of craft vendors and things like that.
- 1:02:03Speaker 5: I've seen you performing your acts out on the street, so that would be perfect.
- 1:02:09Speaker 4: I'm not charging this weekend but uh then the festivals free for veterans, I believe, the festivals one o'clock till six o'clock on Saturday, which uh then we are headed over to the VIP after party and then hopefully over to the Frankfurt Bourbon Society uh headquarters where we'll uh put put AMSI in in uh in a, a fantastic uh state of mind.
- 1:02:44Speaker 6: Absolutely.
- 1:02:45Speaker 4: The only thing I gotta say is this year I don't really want a Waffle House experience on the level of Jim Gaffigan.
- 1:02:53Speaker 4: I mean it's so funny because that experience we were listening to it.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: He does a routine about Waffle House and I don't know what to tell you, but it was dead nuts on the fact that every Waffle House does what what Jim was talking about.
- 1:03:09Speaker 1: It's just like it was that night.
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: I mean, I don't go to Waffle House very often, but he had it down.
- 1:03:15Speaker 4: He has it down to exactly what our experience was that night.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: It was crazy.
- 1:03:19Speaker 4: I'm now you know.
- 1:03:21Speaker 4: A Waffle House on a Saturday night in Frankfurt, or a Saturday night anywhere in the country, is basically there are no bussers.
- 1:03:31Speaker 4: You eat, you sit, you slide your over closer to the window and the next person sits down till the end of the night is over.
