- 3:45Demand for commercial office and lab space has

- 3:51leaving many buildings, including one on Brookline
- 3:54Avenue, largely vacant. Now onto sports. Lane
- 4:04Kiffin's contract with Louisiana State University
- 4:07includes a unique clause that allows him to receive
- 4:10a bonus payment based on Ole Miss's college football
- 4:13playoff success. Kiffin's agreement, which spans
- 4:17seven years, pays him $13 million annually. He
- 4:22will earn the same college football playoff bonus
- 4:24from Louisiana State University that he would
- 4:27have if he remained with Ole Miss. The bonus
- 4:31begins at $150 ,000 for a first -round game and
- 4:35could reach $1 million if Ole Miss wins the national
- 4:39championship. If fired without cause, he would
- 4:43receive 80 % of his remaining salary. And last

- 5:13in 2015. Coach Mike Frable also became the third
- 5:17coach since 1970 to achieve a win streak of 10
- 5:21or more games in his first season with a team.
- 5:25in local sports. The New York Knicks, with a
- 5:29record of 13 -6, hope to continue their impressive
- 5:33four -game winning run when they visit the Celtics,
- 5:36who have 11 wins and 9 losses, tonight at TD
- 5:40Garden. This matchup features a tight line of
- 5:43New York favored by 1 .5 points, with a total
- 5:47set at 229 .5 points for the game. Tipoff is
- 5:53at 8 Eastern on NBC, and Peacock. In top news,
- 6:00Aidan Toner Rogers, a 27 -year -old graduate
- 6:03student at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology,
- 6:07rapidly gained attention in economics with his
- 6:10influential paper on artificial intelligence's
- 6:13impact on workplaces. However, concerns arose
- 6:17when a computer scientist questioned the study's
- 6:19authenticity. Despite his promising start, Toner
- 6:23Rogers was later disavowed by MIT and left the
- 6:27institution. Mentors expressed disbelief at the
- 6:31extent of his deception as he seemingly fabricated
- 6:34the entire study. In the wake of the scandal,
- 6:38MIT is discussing ways to improve research integrity
- 6:41among graduate students. Toner Rogers admitted
- 6:46to faking a data use agreement, claiming it was
- 6:48a major error. In business news, Costco Wholesale
- 6:55Corporation joined a growing list of businesses
- 6:58suing the Trump administration to ensure eligibility
- 7:01for refunds if the United States Supreme Court
- 7:04strikes down the president's tariffs policy.
- 7:08This major warehouse club chain filed a lawsuit
- 7:10in the United States Court of International Trade
- 7:13on November 28th, prompted by uncertainty over
- 7:17refund guarantees for businesses paying duties.
- 7:21Costco argues for immediate court intervention,
- 7:24as Customs and Border Protection denied its request
- 7:27to extend tariff determination finalization.
- 7:31The Supreme Court heard arguments on tariffs
- 7:33on November 5th, and justices seemed skeptical
- 7:36during discussions. The ongoing tariff policies
- 7:40have disrupted retail, raising prices, and hampering
- 7:44consumer purchasing power. In crypto movement,
- 7:48Bitcoin is up 1%. to just over $87 ,000. Ethereum

- 8:52Let's talk science. The scientists may have solved
- 8:55why this ancient, advanced civilization vanished.
- 9:00Climate data offers clues to what might have
- 9:03happened to people of the Indus River Valley
- 9:05and how that might relate to our own warming
- 9:08world. At its peak, this civilization featured
- 9:12gridded streets, multistory brick homes, and
- 9:15flush toilets. They traded gold, precious stones,
- 9:19and items, such as bronze carts along the waterways.
- 9:23A study published in the journal Communications
- 9:26Earth and Environment found that four intense
- 9:28droughts reduced rainfall, which probably caused
- 9:31residents to relocate frequently. The research
- 9:35highlights the importance of proactive planning
- 9:37and resilient agricultural systems in a warming
- 9:40world. Zootopia 2 roared to a record -smashing
- 9:49$272 million opening in China, ranking as the
- 9:54sixth biggest in history. It opened to $116 million
- 9:59across its first two days, reaching $270 million
- 10:03through Sunday, according to Artisan Gateway.
- 10:08The debut is the highest animated opening ever
- 10:11in China for a non -local release. After just
- 10:15five days, Zootopia 2 became the highest -grossing,
- 10:19non -local animated film of all time in the market.
- 10:24China's weekend box office reached $229 million,
- 10:29significantly up from the previous weekend's
- 10:32$44 million. Well, alrighty folks, it's time
- 10:36for the quote of the day. And today, our quote
- 10:40comes from the American physicist and Nobel laureate.
- 10:44Richard Feynman. And he said, And that's a wrap
