- 0:01Speaker 1: Johe Martin on the Prima Pramac dou Caaddie is your
- 0:04Speaker 1: twenty twenty four Moto GP World Champion, and what a
- 0:08Speaker 1: season it has been. From breathtaking overtag's unwavering consistency, Martin
- 0:14Speaker 1: has cemented his name in Moto GP history with one
- 0:18Speaker 1: of the most thrilling title runs we have ever witnessed.
- 0:22Speaker 1: I'm your host, Rinita vmullan, and alongside me is our
- 0:25Speaker 1: Moto GP masa, mister Matt Clayton. But sorry Matt, because
- 0:29Speaker 1: of this episode's a little bit of a family affair
- 0:32Speaker 1: with Moto GP race winner and two thousand and three
- 0:34Speaker 1: well Supersport champion at Chris Mullan joining us.
- 0:38Speaker 2: Chris, welcome to pit Talk.
- 0:40Speaker 3: Yes, thank you, I've done obviously, I know you rineda sister,
- 0:44Speaker 3: we know each other on a very long time and
- 0:46Speaker 3: yes I've worked with Matt for a little while, so yes,
- 0:50Speaker 3: all good to be back on you.
- 0:52Speaker 2: The background for this, Cris, you realized last week we
- 0:54Speaker 2: had Matt Burt on the podcast and I reckon this
- 0:56Speaker 2: is Ranita's comeback. She had two mats on the podcast
- 1:00Speaker 2: out numbered, so she said, the only way I can
- 1:02Speaker 2: do some one upmanship here is. I'm going to invite
- 1:04Speaker 2: my own brother who's in Botero GP Race Switter onto
- 1:06Speaker 2: the podcast and like, all right, hands off the whilk.
- 1:08Speaker 2: You've got me on that one. But I don't know,
- 1:10Speaker 2: I feel like I need to be like more Dutch
- 1:12Speaker 2: or something.
- 1:12Speaker 3: To well, more Dutch to be on this one.
- 1:14Speaker 2: Not yeah, I don't know.
- 1:15Speaker 3: Yeah, you probably do need too. But obviously that's our heritage.
- 1:19Speaker 3: But ended there, ended ended fifty years ago. Grandma was
- 1:23Speaker 3: sixty years ago, seventy years ago, whenever our grandmother grandparents
- 1:26Speaker 3: came out from Holland. But no, great, great to be here.
- 1:29Speaker 3: And what about a GP season? And like you said,
- 1:31Speaker 3: you have Matt Burton last last week and Bertie he's great,
- 1:35Speaker 3: isn't he And he's involved in the action all year round?
- 1:37Speaker 3: And yeah, what a season it's been.
- 1:41Speaker 1: It's been interesting because coming onto this we were like,
- 1:43Speaker 1: what could we expect from the final round of of MOGP.
- 1:48Speaker 1: We had all that drama Valencia and then they moved
- 1:50Speaker 1: it to Barcelona and we didn't know that was happening
- 1:51Speaker 1: till last minute. But the biggest headline obviously Jorge Martine
- 1:55Speaker 1: winning the championship. But on an independent team is the
- 1:58Speaker 1: first time that's happened in GP history, and I feel
- 2:02Speaker 1: like the storyline's going in We had Peco who could
- 2:04Speaker 1: possibly take that hat trick Jorge Martin with the comeback
- 2:09Speaker 1: after last year, I think it was very well deserved
- 2:13Speaker 1: from my side. In my opinion, I think watching him
- 2:15Speaker 1: and how he's changed this year, Joge Martin talking about
- 2:19Speaker 1: here how he's mentally changed, and Matt, I'm sure you've
- 2:22Speaker 1: got some points on this, but Chris, I wanted to
- 2:24Speaker 1: hear from you, what's your thoughts on Jorgees ride this year,
- 2:28Speaker 1: because I think we've seen a whole new side to
- 2:30Speaker 1: the Martinita one hundred percent.
- 2:32Speaker 3: He was sort of the guy that did what Peco
- 2:35Speaker 3: did this year. Last year, that was Martin got to
- 2:38Speaker 3: go and win a lot of races, but make mistakes,
- 2:41Speaker 3: and not only did he turn himself around, he put
- 2:44Speaker 3: the pressure on his championship rival to do that. In
- 2:47Speaker 3: my opinion, Peco Bagna was a fast the faster rider
- 2:50Speaker 3: of the two this year, which in the past for me,
- 2:53Speaker 3: Jorge Martin is the fastest guy in the world. So
- 2:56Speaker 3: Peko's taken this step to beat Jorge Martin speedwak and
- 3:00Speaker 3: it's worked and he's won more Grand Price but made
- 3:03Speaker 3: more mistakes. So it's almost like role reversal. What do
- 3:06Speaker 3: you reckon, Matt. It's it's just changed, hasn't it.
- 3:10Speaker 2: Yeah. It's funny because you and I for years, even
- 3:12Speaker 2: before he was really winning races or being up to
- 3:14Speaker 2: the front, we were pretty adamant that Jorge Martin was
- 3:17Speaker 2: the fastest rider in Motor GP. It was one of
- 3:18Speaker 2: our sort of standard lines that we had every time
- 3:20Speaker 2: we did something, but he never really converted on the speed.
- 3:24Speaker 2: What's interesting is that I reckon banya has been better
- 3:27Speaker 2: this year than he was in both of his championship
- 3:29Speaker 2: winning seasons, and he has won the championship because Martin
- 3:33Speaker 2: has taken all that raw speed and he's evolved. And
- 3:37Speaker 2: the evolution is he was quick enough to win it
- 3:39Speaker 2: last year. I don't think it's like a chatter. Yeah,
- 3:42Speaker 2: that felt like a championship that he lost last year
- 3:45Speaker 2: more than Banyai won. Banyai stepped up his game, as
- 3:48Speaker 2: you said, he became a faster rider this year. You're
- 3:50Speaker 2: going to look back at this year and say a
- 3:51Speaker 2: guy won eleven Grand Prix didn't win the championship like
- 3:54Speaker 2: it's pretty incredible. But Martin just did the absolute best
- 3:59Speaker 2: he could do on the days he couldn't win, and
- 4:01Speaker 2: I think that was the key to the whole thing.
- 4:03Speaker 2: In that was at thirty two podiums out of forty,
- 4:06Speaker 2: and I think it was sixteen or seventeen second places.
- 4:09Speaker 2: So even when Banyai was winning, Martin was doing the
- 4:12Speaker 2: next best thing and waiting for Bangnyay to trip himself up,
- 4:16Speaker 2: and he just did it far too many times. And
- 4:17Speaker 2: the Malaysia one, Yeah, Malaysia one was kind of the
- 4:19Speaker 2: final straw.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Wasn't the Malaysia one was the final straw. It was
- 4:23Speaker 3: the straw of the camel's back that broke it, if
- 4:25Speaker 3: you like. But it's the Barcelona one, that sprint race
- 4:30Speaker 3: where was Miles in front earlier in the year and
- 4:32Speaker 3: went down, And if you take those twelve points, he
- 4:36Speaker 3: would have been world champion just from one of those
- 4:38Speaker 3: sprint races where he was leading by quite a margin
- 4:41Speaker 3: and fell off. That's let alone a Grod Prix. So yeah,
- 4:45Speaker 3: it's been an interesting year. And the points, those two guys,
- 4:50Speaker 3: both of them nearly at five hundred points in a
- 4:52Speaker 3: Grand Prix season, both of them out excelled what each
- 4:56Speaker 3: of them did each other did last year, and then
- 5:00Speaker 3: they had to fight guys like Mark Marquez on Aju Cadi.
- 5:03Speaker 3: It wasn't just it was their own those two guys
- 5:06Speaker 3: out in front. There was still plenty of other guys
- 5:08Speaker 3: in a Beastie and any winning, lots of grand PRIs,
- 5:12Speaker 3: you know, Pedro Costa coming in as the rookie and
- 5:15Speaker 3: giving him So it's not like it was just the
- 5:17Speaker 3: two of them, But the speed and the display from
- 5:21Speaker 3: the two of those guys this year was very impressive.
- 5:25Speaker 1: I think what I found really cool this weekend was
- 5:27Speaker 1: on Friday I messaged Matt in our group chat and said,
- 5:30Speaker 1: johe Martin looks nervous and this was like Friday practice
- 5:33Speaker 1: or something. And then we saw that and he openly
- 5:35Speaker 1: spoke about it this weekend. But how he held himself
- 5:39Speaker 1: throughout the weekend when there is so much pressure on
- 5:42Speaker 1: the line, I think was really exciting for me, because
- 5:46Speaker 1: you see, Pecos won it two times already, so he
- 5:49Speaker 1: kind of expected that there's a possibility. He knew how
- 5:53Speaker 1: to handle the situation, and we can talk about Peco
- 5:55Speaker 1: how he handled the situation after, But for me, Martin,
- 5:58Speaker 1: this weekend. It wasn't a replay of Malaysia at any means.
- 6:02Speaker 1: It was like, I'm going to do the job that
- 6:04Speaker 1: I need to do, and I'm going to work on
- 6:05Speaker 1: the tools and I'm not going to have a repeat
- 6:07Speaker 1: of last year. But Matt, you told me offer You've
- 6:10Speaker 1: got a really cool comment about Juhe Martin and that
- 6:13Speaker 1: final seven laps of the Grand Prix rate.
- 6:16Speaker 2: Yeah, we're just talking before about how he's evolved this year.
- 6:19Speaker 2: And there's something about and you might back me up
- 6:23Speaker 2: on this one, Chris, there's something about a non English
- 6:25Speaker 2: speaker speaking in English in a press conference setting that
- 6:29Speaker 2: maybe they're a little less guarded than you or I
- 6:31Speaker 2: might be in that sort of situation because there's a
- 6:34Speaker 2: translation element going here. Think something in Spanish translated to
- 6:37Speaker 2: English said in English with no filter, And he said,
- 6:40Speaker 2: you know, he talked a little bit about what he
- 6:42Speaker 2: had done in the off season on the mental side
- 6:44Speaker 2: with a mental coach and trying to get his mind right,
- 6:47Speaker 2: because he said he had a lot of fear coming
- 6:49Speaker 2: into this year, wondering, you know, am I ever going
- 6:51Speaker 2: to get a chance to win this thing again. He
- 6:53Speaker 2: was quite happy initially with how he gone last year,
- 6:55Speaker 2: but then went, well, what if that's it? And then
- 6:57Speaker 2: so he was deliberately not looking at his pitbull during
- 7:00Speaker 2: the race, and then with about seven laps to go,
- 7:02Speaker 2: he saw the pit boarder word, oh dear, like this
- 7:04Speaker 2: thing's right here now, and he said he found he
- 7:07Speaker 2: started his mind was wandering. He caught sight of his
- 7:10Speaker 2: parents being filmed in the pit box on one of
- 7:12Speaker 2: the track side big screens, and he said afterwards, I
- 7:15Speaker 2: was thinking about when my mum used to send me off,
- 7:17Speaker 2: you know, when I used to ride pocket bikes on
- 7:18Speaker 2: the karting track with a little, you know, bowl of
- 7:20Speaker 2: passer in case I've got hungri and I'm thinking all
- 7:22Speaker 2: these things that have nothing to do with what I'm doing.
- 7:26Speaker 2: And he's like, you've got to stop this right now, like,
- 7:29Speaker 2: get your mind back on what you're doing. And he
- 7:30Speaker 2: said he really leaned on the mind coaching and the
- 7:33Speaker 2: work he'd done in the off season to get himself
- 7:35Speaker 2: back on track. And that was really interesting to me
- 7:39Speaker 2: that he was aware enough in the moment that he
- 7:41Speaker 2: needed to stop going down a path that was possibly
- 7:44Speaker 2: going to distract him, but he was so willing to
- 7:46Speaker 2: discuss it as well, which a lot of that sort
- 7:49Speaker 2: of stuff goes on by and the scenes. We know
- 7:50Speaker 2: this in professional sport, but not people aren't as willing
- 7:53Speaker 2: to share in that situation. They might keep that under
- 7:55Speaker 2: their hat. You know, it's really interesting.
- 7:57Speaker 3: It is it's whether it is whether it is the
- 8:01Speaker 3: language thing, like you say, but you're right. I think
- 8:03Speaker 3: both these guys, Juge Martin in particular at PECO, the
- 8:06Speaker 3: way their relationship with each other, the way they openly
- 8:10Speaker 3: speak about each other, they speak about their own hardships
- 8:13Speaker 3: or their wins or It's not like Rainy Schwantz doing days,
- 8:18Speaker 3: is it. Let's face it, those guys would give each
- 8:20Speaker 3: other nothing and they would bloody they do. You know,
- 8:22Speaker 3: it's completely different. But yeah, I think going back to
- 8:28Speaker 3: what he did in those last seven laps, it is normal.
- 8:30Speaker 3: You know, when something major in your career happens, at
- 8:33Speaker 3: that point it's you do you start thinking about all
- 8:38Speaker 3: these little things and all the people that it means
- 8:40Speaker 3: so much to as well, that have supported you along
- 8:42Speaker 3: the way. Your parents are obviously number one, your family,
- 8:44Speaker 3: you know, the teams, all that sort of stuff, and
- 8:47Speaker 3: that that's just it. That just shows you he's a
- 8:50Speaker 3: genuinely nice guy. You know, he's thinking about everybody involved,
- 8:53Speaker 3: not just himself, and what it means to all those
- 8:57Speaker 3: people as well, you know, because this guy, he's the
- 9:00Speaker 3: first ever to win or is the first ever to
- 9:02Speaker 3: win the Motor GP Championship coming from Rebel Rookies Cup. Now,
- 9:05Speaker 3: his parents they were not wealthy by any means. They
- 9:10Speaker 3: were actually relatively poor people. They couldn't afford motorbike racing.
- 9:15Speaker 3: That was his chance. It was his chance to go
- 9:17Speaker 3: racing because it was a very very affordable and he
- 9:21Speaker 3: just got there on raw talent and speed, you know.
- 9:24Speaker 3: So there's a lot of people that have put the
- 9:26Speaker 3: sacrificed a lot for Juge Martin to be there, and
- 9:30Speaker 3: he's reaped the biggest rewarding tool sport well.
- 9:33Speaker 2: And the thing I love about this from a journal
- 9:35Speaker 2: with my journo hat on here is that someone who's
- 9:38Speaker 2: come from a position like or hate, you don't need
- 9:40Speaker 2: to over ask questions of this situation. The best question
- 9:43Speaker 2: in that situation is how do you feel, like, tell
- 9:46Speaker 2: me what's in here right now? Because you can see
- 9:49Speaker 2: the wheels turning in there as he's trying to process
- 9:52Speaker 2: this thing that he's been aiming at for so so long,
- 9:55Speaker 2: and as you said about the family in the background,
- 9:57Speaker 2: so often after the race, he was talking about where
- 10:00Speaker 2: he came from, who got him there. I'm so happy
- 10:03Speaker 2: for the team. He was quite low on his own
- 10:06Speaker 2: list of people to be happy for because he was
- 10:08Speaker 2: enjoying seeing other people happy.
- 10:10Speaker 3: I can understand it, really, and I wasn't interesting inside. Yeah,
- 10:13Speaker 3: I wasn't motor GP world champion, but I won a
- 10:15Speaker 3: super sport title, and I won Mato GP race and
- 10:18Speaker 3: lots of the world superweight races, and people say, oh,
- 10:21Speaker 3: you must have been so proud or excited at the time.
- 10:24Speaker 3: I can tell you when I won that race in Lemon,
- 10:26Speaker 3: I was more happy for all of my crew and
- 10:29Speaker 3: the fifty engineers at Suzuki that worked back in Hamamatsu
- 10:32Speaker 3: that hadn't won a race in six or seven years,
- 10:35Speaker 3: you know, and the effort and everything I was. I
- 10:38Speaker 3: was a long way down the list. So I completely
- 10:41Speaker 3: understand where he's coming from one hundred percent.
- 10:44Speaker 1: Well, let's talk about du Cati for a second, because
- 10:46Speaker 1: how how does this with Juhe my team been the
- 10:50Speaker 1: first independent team writer to win the championship.
- 10:53Speaker 3: And since so I'm going to fill in that since Rossi.
- 10:56Speaker 1: Oh yeah, sorry, since thank you, But how does it
- 11:00Speaker 1: impact you? Caddi? Then, knowing that Jos taken that number
- 11:04Speaker 1: one plate and he is going to a Prilier Pramac
- 11:06Speaker 1: are leaving as well, going to Yamaha, how does that
- 11:09Speaker 1: impact the factory team?
- 11:10Speaker 3: That was a big call by Jacaddi. And let's face it,
- 11:14Speaker 3: I'm a massive Mark Markez fan, but this was all
- 11:16Speaker 3: This all started with Mark Makez wanting to get that
- 11:19Speaker 3: factory ride and Jacatti had to make a call. We
- 11:22Speaker 3: got three very good riders that could be the number
- 11:25Speaker 3: two rider or however you want to call it, Peco's
- 11:27Speaker 3: teammate next year. We're going to pick one of them
- 11:31Speaker 3: and the other two are going to leave. It's that simple.
- 11:33Speaker 3: So who do we pick? Do we pick the eight
- 11:36Speaker 3: times world champion Mark Markez, Do we pick Joje Martin,
- 11:39Speaker 3: probably the fastest guy in the world at the moment,
- 11:42Speaker 3: or do we pick an Ambasiinini who's been a great teammate.
- 11:45Speaker 3: So this whole thing is set off there and for
- 11:48Speaker 3: Jakati to make that call and it you know, they're
- 11:51Speaker 3: the only ones that know all the information and whether
- 11:53Speaker 3: they made the right decision or not we'll soon find out,
- 11:56Speaker 3: but for that decision to be made and then hate
- 12:00Speaker 3: to leave, that was big and I think that's set
- 12:02Speaker 3: off Pramak leaving as well. I know the talks were
- 12:05Speaker 3: always there with Yamaha, but I think Pramac had they
- 12:09Speaker 3: have a lot of respect for Joege Martin as well
- 12:11Speaker 3: as Jacadie, and I think that was that was again
- 12:15Speaker 3: just the last little thing that set it off. So
- 12:18Speaker 3: it's gonna be interesting.
- 12:19Speaker 2: Yeah, I remember describing it at the time. It was
- 12:22Speaker 2: like Marquez A just rolled a hand grenade and said
- 12:25Speaker 2: to deal with this because there's no this is the thing,
- 12:28Speaker 2: like the way you just laid that out. There's no
- 12:30Speaker 2: wrong answers here. They're all correct answers, which is the
- 12:33Speaker 2: more correct? And I reckon so much of this is
- 12:36Speaker 2: you look, they know who Martin is and how good
- 12:38Speaker 2: he is, and he's considerably younger than Mark and all
- 12:40Speaker 2: of these things. Can you imagine how much of a
- 12:43Speaker 2: pr black eye it would have been if you just go, well, yeah,
- 12:46Speaker 2: you're pretty good on our bike, and we know you've
- 12:48Speaker 2: won six Motor GP world titles, but we're just gonna
- 12:50Speaker 2: let you go somewhere else because if that comes back
- 12:53Speaker 2: to bite you and you get beaten by the guy
- 12:55Speaker 2: you could have had and went no thanks. That is
- 12:58Speaker 2: a massive pr.
- 13:00Speaker 3: And and like you said, financially, did you Caddy having
- 13:03Speaker 3: Mark It's got a it's got to play dividends. And
- 13:06Speaker 3: if if they didn't take him, a Prillier or KTM
- 13:09Speaker 3: would have taken him because financially it would have been
- 13:12Speaker 3: massively beneficial to them and probably result wise beneficial to him.
- 13:16Speaker 3: So you're right, there was no there was no wrong
- 13:18Speaker 3: answer there and which was which was one? Was more right?
- 13:22Speaker 3: But yeah, a Prillier getting that number one play, I
- 13:25Speaker 3: reckon I'd almost bet on Joge Martin running the number
- 13:28Speaker 3: one next year because of influence from a Prillier more
- 13:31Speaker 3: than anything making him run that number one on the bike.
- 13:34Speaker 3: We we know how cool the max if.
- 13:36Speaker 2: You were him, If you were him, you'd one hundred
- 13:39Speaker 2: percent do it. Would you like the ultimate slap in
- 13:41Speaker 2: the face of.
- 13:41Speaker 3: I think it's brilliant anyway, I think they should be
- 13:43Speaker 3: made to run the number one. I think your champion
- 13:46Speaker 3: couldn't agree. You know, it was always the Mickdoing days,
- 13:49Speaker 3: the Wayne Rainy days, those guys with that big number
- 13:51Speaker 3: one on the bike. It's it's just cool. And then
- 13:53Speaker 3: you know Casey did it, Nicki, Hayden did it, Lorenzo
- 13:57Speaker 3: did it. Rossi was the first guy really not to
- 13:59Speaker 3: and then Mark followed in his footsteps. But I think
- 14:01Speaker 3: it looks cool. You are number one, You've earned that.
- 14:03Speaker 3: You're the only guy that can run that do it.
- 14:07Speaker 3: It's going to be interesting. I almost forgot what number
- 14:09Speaker 3: Peco Bagnia is because that's what we've seen him the
- 14:12Speaker 3: last two years, you know, with that big number one on.
- 14:14Speaker 3: So I think Martin should run it. And I'm excited
- 14:18Speaker 3: to see how good the aprivier is in the hands
- 14:21Speaker 3: of him or someone like him, because let's face it,
- 14:25Speaker 3: Maverick Vinalees is not a racer, but he can be
- 14:27Speaker 3: the fastest guy on track. And Elisia Spargo the last Cup.
- 14:33Speaker 3: He was never going to be a world champion anyway.
- 14:35Speaker 3: In the last couple of years. You know, it's degragated,
- 14:38Speaker 3: hasn't it. It's slowly gone slower and slowest.
- 14:41Speaker 2: So it's so true because I reckon the a prilier thing,
- 14:45Speaker 2: like I don't know if we know how fast that
- 14:47Speaker 2: by had, thank you, because they haven't had an absolute
- 14:49Speaker 2: top tier guy on it because you know Elaish obviously
- 14:53Speaker 2: retiring after this race towards the end of his career,
- 14:56Speaker 2: and isn't the most Maverick Vignalist thing ever. Mine is
- 15:00Speaker 2: that we've had a twenty race season and you'll go, oh,
- 15:03Speaker 2: Docadi's awesome this year. Oh, how come they didn't win
- 15:06Speaker 2: one Grand Prix? Oh, because Maverick Vignales won it, which
- 15:09Speaker 2: is the most Maverick thing of all time. I got
- 15:11Speaker 2: it could be anonymous for half the season and then
- 15:13Speaker 2: he wins a Grand.
- 15:14Speaker 3: I don't even think he scored points in the last
- 15:16Speaker 3: race of the year, you know, like score one? Did
- 15:18Speaker 3: he did get fifteenth?
- 15:19Speaker 2: OK.
- 15:20Speaker 3: I know he's battling for it, but it's like wow,
- 15:23Speaker 3: So yeah, I think the Aprier is better than we've seen.
- 15:28Speaker 3: It will be interesting to see what someone like Juje
- 15:30Speaker 3: Martin can get out of it because his whole Mateojipi,
- 15:33Speaker 3: has been on a Jacaddi, so this is going to
- 15:35Speaker 3: be a big change for him. But the potential is there.
- 15:37Speaker 3: That bike is very very good.
- 15:40Speaker 1: Let's talk about Peco this weekend because pole position won
- 15:44Speaker 1: both the sprint and the main Grand Prix. Matt was
- 15:48Speaker 1: this one of his better weekends of the year, comparing
- 15:52Speaker 1: it to like Magello where he did.
- 15:53Speaker 2: Similar right Japan. You know, he's had a few weekends
- 15:57Speaker 2: this year where there's a level of just operating with
- 16:02Speaker 2: him that he's as close to perfection as you could
- 16:04Speaker 2: be and the only person that can beat him is him.
- 16:07Speaker 2: And we've seen that a few times this year where
- 16:08Speaker 2: he's just on a complete ascent. Was another one. He
- 16:11Speaker 2: just absolutely smashed everyone for three straight days. And that's
- 16:14Speaker 2: we're going to go back and look at this season
- 16:16Speaker 2: and we're going to say, did the double here, did
- 16:18Speaker 2: the double here? Did the double here? So this was
- 16:21Speaker 2: a weekend where he had to be at his absolute
- 16:24Speaker 2: best to even give himself a chance, And there was
- 16:27Speaker 2: no doubt from the moment they rolled out on Friday,
- 16:29Speaker 2: who was going to win both races quite frankly, because
- 16:31Speaker 2: he had everyone under control. It was what had happened
- 16:35Speaker 2: the previous time out of Sapang. He said afterwards like
- 16:37Speaker 2: he pretty much knew it was over after Sepang, because
- 16:41Speaker 2: even on a Martine bad day last year, might have
- 16:44Speaker 2: predicted Martin woul dropping ball or just have a ropeie
- 16:47Speaker 2: race and the key race for me, and this is
- 16:49Speaker 2: going back a little bit Japan. He crashed in qualifying Martine.
- 16:54Speaker 2: I think he was like eleventh or twelfth, Like he
- 16:56Speaker 2: didn't do a lap in Q two basically, and that
- 16:58Speaker 2: was the first time I'm like, ah, is this the
- 17:01Speaker 2: weekend where he's on a front running bike and he
- 17:03Speaker 2: gets it a bit wrong and he cracks a door
- 17:06Speaker 2: open for Peco to come through, and he recovered and
- 17:08Speaker 2: got back on podium, and I was like, all right,
- 17:11Speaker 2: this is who he is now. And you know, it
- 17:13Speaker 2: didn't matter how good bad Yaya was because there were
- 17:16Speaker 2: eight DNFs, a lot of them self inflicted, a couple
- 17:20Speaker 2: of unlucky ones. He keeps coming back to the Alex
- 17:22Speaker 2: Marquez crashing Aragon is the one that really really hurt
- 17:26Speaker 2: him because it was such a bad weekend in the
- 17:27Speaker 2: context of his season, But there are a lot of
- 17:29Speaker 2: them were self inflicted, and he said, you know, you
- 17:32Speaker 2: can't win a championship with eight zeros next to your name,
- 17:34Speaker 2: no matter how good you've been for the rest of
- 17:37Speaker 2: the time. So yeah, massive highs. But he was the
- 17:40Speaker 2: kind of the architect of his own demise in a
- 17:41Speaker 2: lot of ways.
- 17:42Speaker 3: So it's interesting that he comes back to that. Alex
- 17:45Speaker 3: Marcus crash, isn't it? And I did speak to someone
- 17:49Speaker 3: in race direction. I can't name names, but yeah, I
- 17:54Speaker 3: at the time I thought it was more Peco's fault.
- 17:57Speaker 3: But after actually seeing some data from the crash, maybe
- 18:01Speaker 3: he's coming back to that because he's seen more information
- 18:03Speaker 3: that was that was quite There was an intent there
- 18:07Speaker 3: that Alex Marquez was not going to let him go
- 18:09Speaker 3: past put it that way? Yeah, are you?
- 18:12Speaker 2: Are you suggesting there might be some sort of you know,
- 18:14Speaker 2: fractious relationship between Camp Marquees and Camp ROSSI of which Benya,
- 18:18Speaker 2: what are you saying?
- 18:20Speaker 3: And do we reckon? It's going to get even bigger
- 18:23Speaker 3: next year?
- 18:24Speaker 2: Yes? Oh boy, it's going to be good in it.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Oh yeah, let's not open that kennel worms right now
- 18:33Speaker 1: on this podcast. Let's wait till till next year, shall we?
- 18:36Speaker 1: But continuing on with Mark Marquez and Ana bas Shanini,
- 18:40Speaker 1: we had Matt Burdon obviously last week, like we said,
- 18:42Speaker 1: and Matt said that An is going to do whatever
- 18:45Speaker 1: he can to clinch third in the championship because Mark
- 18:48Speaker 1: is stealing his seat. Unfortunately it didn't quite play out
- 18:51Speaker 1: that way. But Saturday's sprint, I don't know about you, guys.
- 18:54Speaker 1: I was on the edge of my seat going, noy,
- 18:57Speaker 1: what are you doing when he was making those moves
- 18:59Speaker 1: on Hoimar. It made it exciting.
- 19:01Speaker 3: Though, it did make it exciting, but and look, I
- 19:04Speaker 3: think to make passes, that's just the way you've got
- 19:07Speaker 3: to be. Joge Martin is that fast and he's on
- 19:10Speaker 3: the limit everywhere that it's got to be that close.
- 19:13Speaker 3: I mean that that leg dangling out and they clipped feet,
- 19:16Speaker 3: didn't they early on in the race. And what's ironic
- 19:20Speaker 3: about that is is Joge Martin a couple of grandris
- 19:22Speaker 3: ago that said, I think we should ban the leg
- 19:25Speaker 3: coming out because there was an incident in a couple
- 19:28Speaker 3: of other categories. Wasn't there where where riders have hit
- 19:30Speaker 3: the legs dangling out? And I'm that old that I'm
- 19:34Speaker 3: pre that era pretty much. But yeah, it's obviously got
- 19:37Speaker 3: to get in your ay, I reckon. But yeah, and
- 19:40Speaker 3: it was good. It was good to see him make
- 19:42Speaker 3: those moves. And he didn't have it for the Grand Prix,
- 19:45Speaker 3: which surprised me because I thought I actually put him
- 19:48Speaker 3: down to be on the podium in that race and
- 19:49Speaker 3: really challenged Mark. That's I thought he had would have
- 19:52Speaker 3: the speed for that, but he just made too many mistakes.
- 19:55Speaker 2: Yeah, he did. One of the things I did enjoy
- 19:57Speaker 2: in the post race, some ungodly hour of the sport.
- 20:00Speaker 2: I can't remember at this point, but you know, we've
- 20:02Speaker 2: focused so much on who's won the championship and Banyay
- 20:04Speaker 2: losing it and what have you. There was this quite
- 20:06Speaker 2: amusing little spat between BASTARDEDI and Alex Marquez after the race,
- 20:11Speaker 2: and that bastard he was saying, it's not right that
- 20:15Speaker 2: Alisha Spargaro got my writers mixed up. It's late or
- 20:18Speaker 2: it's early, or it's something. Yeah, and bashid he was saying,
- 20:21Speaker 2: what the hell was a Spargaro doing basically playing wingman
- 20:24Speaker 2: for Juge Martine. They're not writing for the same manufacturer,
- 20:27Speaker 2: they're not even writing for the same team. They're just mates.
- 20:29Speaker 2: He's getting in the way and blah blah blah. And
- 20:31Speaker 2: a Spargo's comment was to look theatrically down the standings
- 20:34Speaker 2: and see Bastidity in seventh or wherever he was, was like,
- 20:37Speaker 2: he's down there on a GP twenty four race mate.
- 20:41Speaker 2: And it was typically feisty Alaisho and his last race
- 20:45Speaker 2: he was true to tight. But that was pretty funny
- 20:47Speaker 2: because they were getting into it in those early laps
- 20:50Speaker 2: and you knew that they were both doing something for
- 20:53Speaker 2: somebody else. Bashially did. He was trying to help out
- 20:54Speaker 2: his teammate, and as Spargo is trying to help out
- 20:57Speaker 2: his best mate. It was just interesting to see that
- 20:59Speaker 2: they were going in.
- 21:00Speaker 3: I actually don't even know if Bastini was trying to
- 21:02Speaker 3: help his teammate in the fact, trying to help himself
- 21:04Speaker 3: and get in front of Mark, you know, or get
- 21:06Speaker 3: close to Mark, because there's only a couple of points
- 21:07Speaker 3: between them. Wasn't there, but but you're right as Alaisha
- 21:10Speaker 3: was there and whether he was or whether that was
- 21:14Speaker 3: his pace, I mean, fourth fifth place, that's about what
- 21:17Speaker 3: you'd expect from him, right, So yeah, it's interesting though, what.
- 21:21Speaker 2: Do you reckon about that though? Because we know that
- 21:23Speaker 2: Alasia is really good there, like of all the circuits
- 21:25Speaker 2: to get the final race of the season after we
- 21:28Speaker 2: didn't go to Valencia Cashalunia was always going to be
- 21:30Speaker 2: a place where he goes well because he always goes
- 21:32Speaker 2: well there. He even sometimes he remembers how many laps
- 21:35Speaker 2: there are to go with the rest to go.
- 21:37Speaker 3: But he was always exactly doing an Elasious Bargo or
- 21:41Speaker 3: doing a Jake Dixon.
- 21:42Speaker 2: Doing an Elasious Barger's. Yeah, I think I think Jake
- 21:45Speaker 2: Dixon did an Elasius Burger.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's right exactly.
- 21:48Speaker 2: But what are your thoughts though as a rider where
- 21:51Speaker 2: you know you're not even in the same team and
- 21:53Speaker 2: the guys you mate, he's probably gonna win the World championship,
- 21:55Speaker 2: he way, should you be getting involved in something like
- 21:57Speaker 2: that or is it just kind of, you know, gloves
- 21:59Speaker 2: off anything.
- 22:00Speaker 3: Look, I think it's gloves off. Anything goes. You're not
- 22:02Speaker 3: gonna You're definitely not gonna. You don't want to get
- 22:06Speaker 3: involved in the championship. I didn't want to. I was
- 22:09Speaker 3: there in six when it was the Rossy Nicky Hayden
- 22:12Speaker 3: battle in Valencia and Valentino was in front of me
- 22:16Speaker 3: early on in the race and he was struggling. And
- 22:18Speaker 3: there's not many times I can ever say in my
- 22:20Speaker 3: career that Valentino's holding you up a lot, right, You
- 22:23Speaker 3: just it just doesn't happen out of Valencia in that
- 22:26Speaker 3: race for whatever reason he was. But I couldn't make
- 22:30Speaker 3: a clean move easy, and if I was going to
- 22:31Speaker 3: make a move, I wanted to make it very clean
- 22:33Speaker 3: because I didn't want to be the guy to touch
- 22:35Speaker 3: him or push him wide or get involved.
- 22:37Speaker 2: He ended up.
- 22:38Speaker 3: Sucking the front and getting out of my way and
- 22:40Speaker 3: I could move on after that anyway. But it is
- 22:43Speaker 3: you just you just want to I think you just
- 22:45Speaker 3: want to be I don't want to get involved in this.
- 22:47Speaker 3: I want to do my best race for myself and
- 22:49Speaker 3: I've got nothing to do with it, stay out of it.
- 22:51Speaker 2: So yeah, you just didn't. You just didn't want to
- 22:54Speaker 2: get deported.
- 22:54Speaker 3: From it for exactly, and it would happen.
- 23:02Speaker 2: Yeah, I would, all right.
- 23:05Speaker 1: We had a few writers who that was their final
- 23:07Speaker 1: Grand Prix this year. Obviously Alisha Spargaro. He did that
- 23:10Speaker 1: really cool slow down lap after the sprint. Was at
- 23:12Speaker 1: the sprint where he had his first World Championship bike,
- 23:15Speaker 1: and then he had the Alisia Spargaro number two ride
- 23:20Speaker 1: his maner GP bike back.
- 23:21Speaker 3: I thought that was really notice do you reckon? That
- 23:23Speaker 3: was my first thoughts. It's probably his brother, right, it
- 23:25Speaker 3: was probably Paul. I don't know. I didn't.
- 23:27Speaker 2: Yeah, I thought the same. So I did read about this.
- 23:30Speaker 2: It was one of the guys in crew that had
- 23:34Speaker 2: been doing some filming days as Elash, so we actually
- 23:38Speaker 2: had the overalls and the helmet, and so they'd set
- 23:41Speaker 2: it up to do this, but only if Martin didn't
- 23:44Speaker 2: win the championship on Saturday. So it was like this
- 23:46Speaker 2: guy was like literally off hiding somewhere with the overalls on,
- 23:49Speaker 2: ready to jump out with the one two five. But
- 23:52Speaker 2: it's like, but if if Jorge wins the championship and
- 23:54Speaker 2: Elaisia's in the celebrations, then we just won't do it.
- 23:56Speaker 2: So it was very much let's just see.
- 23:58Speaker 3: Okay, there you go.
- 23:59Speaker 2: Yeah, they had the stunt double prepared.
- 24:02Speaker 3: Cool, that's really cool.
- 24:03Speaker 1: I like that because there's that there's a film that's
- 24:06Speaker 1: getting made currently that they're in production for a Moto
- 24:09Speaker 1: GP or a Moto three film that a friend of
- 24:11Speaker 1: mine at Empty Helmets Team is doing a lot of
- 24:13Speaker 1: filming with, so I wonder if maybe this is where
- 24:15Speaker 1: it's all coming in. That's why the stunt double was
- 24:18Speaker 1: on the sidelines ready to go. But Alisha's finished for
- 24:21Speaker 1: the year or retiring. Augusto Fernandez is also retiring Takanak
- 24:25Speaker 1: and Gami is also retiring from Moto GP. But that
- 24:29Speaker 1: makes way for some newcomers next year. I think that
- 24:33Speaker 1: I'm excited for fresh blood, but I'm also excited to
- 24:37Speaker 1: see what Pedro Acosta can do next year. On the KTM,
- 24:40Speaker 1: let's talk about his year so far, because they started
- 24:44Speaker 1: off well and we're thinking he's going to get that podium.
- 24:46Speaker 1: Then he got it. We're going he's going to get
- 24:47Speaker 1: that victory, and it never quite eventuated to the top, right,
- 24:51Speaker 1: But what's your take on on Pedro this year, Chris,
- 24:54Speaker 1: how do you think he's performed.
- 24:55Speaker 3: I think he reminds me of I don't know what
- 24:58Speaker 3: year was, twenty thirteen, ten eleven years when young Mark
- 25:00Speaker 3: Marquez came into the championship. It's just that Pedro didn't
- 25:04Speaker 3: have a bike that was capable of being competitive on
- 25:07Speaker 3: all the time. Really, But look, he gave it to
- 25:10Speaker 3: he gave it to Miller, he gave it to Binda,
- 25:12Speaker 3: he gave it to Fernandez. Most races didn't he He made
- 25:16Speaker 3: a lot of mistakes, but I mean, you've got to
- 25:18Speaker 3: get used to those mitchell and tires, you gotta get
- 25:19Speaker 3: used to those electronics, you gotta get you know, all
- 25:22Speaker 3: the things that come with mato gip riding. But yeah,
- 25:24Speaker 3: he was it was pretty cool to watch. It was.
- 25:26Speaker 3: It was spectacular at times. It was very very fast
- 25:30Speaker 3: most of the time, but learning to manage tires and
- 25:33Speaker 3: things like that were his downfall and we saw that
- 25:35Speaker 3: in the last racing Valencia there still you know, he
- 25:38Speaker 3: faded more than anyone else really, so there's a lot
- 25:41Speaker 3: of work to be done there. It's and that's the
- 25:43Speaker 3: thing with Matogpit. It's not about just going fast. It's
- 25:46Speaker 3: about going fast with using less tire where with using
- 25:49Speaker 3: less fuel with you know, there's lots of things to
- 25:51Speaker 3: play with. So he's got work to do. But he's
- 25:54Speaker 3: definitely exciting and I love the character. He just doesn't care.
- 25:57Speaker 3: He doesn't care about anyone else. He wants to go
- 25:59Speaker 3: and win races. He wants to get in fights, he
- 26:01Speaker 3: wants to have battles. It's gonna be interesting because I
- 26:04Speaker 3: think firm and Aldergare is a good mate of his
- 26:06Speaker 3: and they grew up together. And he's coming in on
- 26:08Speaker 3: a Jucati next year, so a lot of people saying
- 26:12Speaker 3: aldergaer Is is fast. He's as fast as a Costa
- 26:16Speaker 3: as a young kid, so that could be interesting a
- 26:18Speaker 3: young guy on the Jucadi. And then we obviously got
- 26:21Speaker 3: Aagura and Somkia Chantri coming in as well, so who
- 26:24Speaker 3: knows what they're going to do.
- 26:26Speaker 2: I reckon Agura is a sneaky, awesome sighting for a
- 26:31Speaker 2: Prillier because it was so interesting, even like watching him
- 26:34Speaker 2: race the Motor Tide race in Barcelona last night. He
- 26:38Speaker 2: is so unbelievably good on the breaks. He just he
- 26:41Speaker 2: rides in a certain way where he gives you absolutely nothing.
- 26:45Speaker 2: And it's a really calm starting point for an Aprillia
- 26:48Speaker 2: team that you look at those four apriliers next year,
- 26:51Speaker 2: ral Fernandez is the only one of their riders coming
- 26:54Speaker 2: back year on year, and I am still shaking my
- 26:58Speaker 2: head as to how ral Fernandez keeps a job, thank you.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Ever since everything, yeah, ever since he came in after
- 27:03Speaker 2: the Moto two season against Remy and obviously Remy won
- 27:06Speaker 2: that championship, I just don't get it.
- 27:08Speaker 3: I think Remy Gardner should have kept the ride before him.
- 27:11Speaker 3: There's plenty of people that he's been teammates with that
- 27:14Speaker 3: should have had the ride. I agree, And I don't
- 27:16Speaker 3: know what photo of who he's got that he that
- 27:19Speaker 3: he puts out to keep his ride or whatever he does,
- 27:21Speaker 3: But yeah, no, Ralph Fernandez is a guy that is
- 27:25Speaker 3: on borrow time, I think. But you're right for mea
- 27:29Speaker 3: when was the last time you saw a Japanese rider
- 27:32Speaker 3: make his debut on on a not on a Japanese
- 27:36Speaker 3: motors you know, yeah, yeah, or back in the day
- 27:40Speaker 3: a Suzuki or Kawasaki or anything.
- 27:42Speaker 2: But what are they?
- 27:45Speaker 3: That shows where the Japanese manufacturers are right now? And
- 27:48Speaker 3: he knew it was not going to be very good
- 27:49Speaker 3: for his career because Honda wanted him twelve months ago
- 27:52Speaker 3: and he held off, and he held off, and he's
- 27:55Speaker 3: gone to ride in a Primer, which is well, it's
- 27:57Speaker 3: not a Jacaddy, But I mean he didn't want to
- 27:59Speaker 3: get on a police.
- 28:00Speaker 2: Bike and you can't blame him either. And you look
- 28:03Speaker 2: at the guys coming in, like you mentioned Aldegare before,
- 28:05Speaker 2: because he's alger is a young, big kid, like he's
- 28:08Speaker 2: going to be much more suited to a motor GP bikes.
- 28:10Speaker 2: He's been big for a motor two bike. Chantra is
- 28:12Speaker 2: going to be spectacular sometimes will crash a lot, got
- 28:18Speaker 2: a massive got a massive personality, like he's going to
- 28:20Speaker 2: be somewhere that gets a lot of headlines. I reckon
- 28:23Speaker 2: Aguru is just going to be the guy in the background,
- 28:25Speaker 2: just methodically, metronomically churning out and you look up and go, huh.
- 28:29Speaker 2: He's just finished in the top ten for four straight
- 28:32Speaker 2: races and we've barely seen him on the coverage exactly.
- 28:34Speaker 2: He's just there and he builds and he doesn't make mistakes.
- 28:38Speaker 2: I think he's a really good addition there because the
- 28:40Speaker 2: Fernandez things a bit of a question mark for me.
- 28:42Speaker 2: And then in the factory team you've got Martine and Betzeki,
- 28:45Speaker 2: neither of whom have written in Aprilia before. So he
- 28:48Speaker 2: might be that young, calm guy that they can throw
- 28:50Speaker 2: a lot of development at as he gets used to
- 28:52Speaker 2: motor GP and he can methodically pick his way through it.
- 28:54Speaker 2: Because they're a massive unknown for next year. Obviously they've
- 28:57Speaker 2: got the world champion riding for them, but there's no
- 28:59Speaker 2: ex experience with this bike, so it's an interesting one
- 29:02Speaker 2: for them.
- 29:02Speaker 3: It's going to be interesting come Tuesday test.
- 29:05Speaker 2: Oh boy, what's what I want to ask?
- 29:07Speaker 1: What was your thoughts on Bazeki going to a Prillian.
- 29:09Speaker 1: Do you think that that bike's gonna suit him? Because
- 29:13Speaker 1: and the whole team change as well. Because he's been
- 29:15Speaker 1: with VR forty six for forever.
- 29:16Speaker 3: Right, Yeah, I don't know about the team change. Sometimes
- 29:20Speaker 3: that can be a good thing, sometimes not. But it's
- 29:22Speaker 3: going to be interesting to see how he adapts. Obviously,
- 29:26Speaker 3: let me get this right. He rode a GP twenty
- 29:29Speaker 3: two and he was extremely fast, and then he got
- 29:32Speaker 3: a GP twenty three. Is he go twenty three? Yeah,
- 29:35Speaker 3: he's got twenty three like Mark is on and they
- 29:38Speaker 3: say that bike was good, but with mitchell entire change
- 29:42Speaker 3: that they came with a new retire this year made
- 29:44Speaker 3: that GP twenty three really really hard to ride, and
- 29:47Speaker 3: only a couple of guys sort of could get their
- 29:50Speaker 3: head around it. Mark was one, Alex on occasion, Fabio
- 29:53Speaker 3: dig'antonio a bit more. But Bez just could not get
- 29:58Speaker 3: He could not change his riding styles get his head
- 30:00Speaker 3: around it. So it's whether he suits the style of
- 30:03Speaker 3: the Privia. I think. I think bes is really fast,
- 30:06Speaker 3: but maybe he's not a guy that can adapt himself
- 30:08Speaker 3: to suit a motorcycle.
- 30:10Speaker 2: So yeah, gonna be interesting completely right, Like, yeah, he
- 30:12Speaker 2: is fast, but maybe there's like a narrow sort of
- 30:14Speaker 2: operating window where he's fast. Ye, So yeah, the twenty
- 30:17Speaker 2: two like you were saying. He was fantastic last year
- 30:19Speaker 2: in a third the Championship, winning Grand Prix, but the
- 30:22Speaker 2: moment things got a little bit outside of that operating window,
- 30:25Speaker 2: he saw him really fall back this year. I thought
- 30:27Speaker 2: he was one of the more disappointing riders this year.
- 30:30Speaker 2: I rate De jan Antonio really highly. I think he's
- 30:33Speaker 2: quite underrated, and I think he will win Grand Prix
- 30:36Speaker 2: next year. To Janitor, he's going to be on. That'd
- 30:38Speaker 2: be an absolutely suit.
- 30:39Speaker 3: I reckon. I'd go for a pick with that because
- 30:41Speaker 3: he's going to be on a twenty five at JUP
- 30:42Speaker 3: twenty five. He pulled out a couple of races earlier
- 30:45Speaker 3: this year to get that shoulder fixed. He said it
- 30:47Speaker 3: just kept popping out of place and you just need
- 30:50Speaker 3: to get that sorted. And he's ready to go, get
- 30:53Speaker 3: ready and ready to go. Yep.
- 30:55Speaker 2: I reckon he's a sneaky top five for the championship
- 30:58Speaker 2: next year. That you go, there's my bold prediction.
- 30:59Speaker 3: I like it.
- 31:01Speaker 1: Get it in early. Then Matt let's touch on Jack
- 31:04Speaker 1: Miller's season really quickly as well, because it's been a
- 31:07Speaker 1: rollercoaster for the thriller Miller and obviously departing to my
- 31:11Speaker 1: favorite place, Pramaha. I had to get it in there.
- 31:14Speaker 1: If you're listening, take a shot there you go, I say,
- 31:16Speaker 1: Pramaha a lot.
- 31:17Speaker 3: Chris, Okay, you're wondering. It's my word.
- 31:20Speaker 1: But what's your take on on Jack's time at KTM
- 31:23Speaker 1: and in his season this year.
- 31:25Speaker 3: Look, I think initially when he signed for KDM, I
- 31:28Speaker 3: was like, oh, that's a step backwards from the Jacadi
- 31:31Speaker 3: And then Jack and his crew that came over with him,
- 31:35Speaker 3: they really I think they really took something to KTM
- 31:38Speaker 3: and they stepped it up. And the early part of
- 31:42Speaker 3: the start of his career there was good as a
- 31:44Speaker 3: couple of podiums, it was challenging for podiums. A bad
- 31:47Speaker 3: weekend was like six or seventh. You know, Jack was strong,
- 31:51Speaker 3: but then Brad really overtook him. And then coming into
- 31:54Speaker 3: this year, a Costa's overtaken him as well, and for
- 31:57Speaker 3: whatever reason, Jack hasn't been able to get any further forward.
- 32:01Speaker 3: So it's like it was stalemate. I mean, there was
- 32:03Speaker 3: a couple of races where they were better than others,
- 32:06Speaker 3: but realistically he just he's just struggled with little things
- 32:10Speaker 3: on and off. So it's a shame because I'm I
- 32:13Speaker 3: like Jack and we want an Aussie in the championship
- 32:15Speaker 3: and we want a strong Aussie. But yeah, it hasn't
- 32:18Speaker 3: been hasn't been successful and that's why he got let
- 32:21Speaker 3: go unfortunately from there. But at least he's on the
- 32:24Speaker 3: in the field next year.
- 32:26Speaker 2: Yeah, and he's been pretty honest about it, like he's
- 32:28Speaker 2: been super disappointed, you know, from their side and from
- 32:31Speaker 2: his side with the way it's gone. And you know,
- 32:32Speaker 2: we spoke to him obviously Ronda a while before Philip Island.
- 32:36Speaker 2: He was saying he thought maybe this would be his
- 32:37Speaker 2: last one. I think if it wasn't for this very
- 32:40Speaker 2: specific job description with Pramaha take another shot and everybody
- 32:45Speaker 2: the fact that he's going there where Yamaha need guys
- 32:48Speaker 2: have experienced with other manufacturers and just experience on the grid,
- 32:51Speaker 2: and that's why they've gone with that Oliver Miller lineup
- 32:54Speaker 2: because you've kind of got the best of both worlds.
- 32:55Speaker 2: They've got every other manufacturer covered, ye and Yamaha right
- 32:59Speaker 2: now need heaps and heaps of data to try and
- 33:02Speaker 2: get that bike right. The problem for Jack almost and
- 33:06Speaker 2: I think if he does his job too well, I
- 33:07Speaker 2: think he'll be out at the end of next year,
- 33:09Speaker 2: irrespective of how well he goes, because they're not really
- 33:12Speaker 2: trying to progress that bike for him or for Oliver. Really,
- 33:14Speaker 2: they want the next young guy to come in and
- 33:16Speaker 2: take it and be the guy that backs up Rins
- 33:19Speaker 2: and Quaero. They don't want a bunch of guys in
- 33:21Speaker 2: the same age profile. They'll try and bring some younger
- 33:24Speaker 2: guy through once the bike's up to it. So Jack
- 33:27Speaker 2: serves a very specific need for them. But you know,
- 33:30Speaker 2: him and Oliver are similar age, similar stage of their careers,
- 33:33Speaker 2: both very experienced. But Oliver is on two year contract.
- 33:36Speaker 2: Jack's on one. So that's the key thing for me,
- 33:39Speaker 2: Like Jack needs, Jack needs a massive verse five or
- 33:42Speaker 2: six races next year if he's going to have any
- 33:44Speaker 2: chance to stay on the grid for twenty six, because
- 33:47Speaker 2: on results alone, he probably doesn't deserve to be there
- 33:50Speaker 2: next year. But he feels a very specific job skill set.
- 33:54Speaker 3: He's almost like he's almost like a permanent racer test
- 33:57Speaker 3: driver in a way. You know, oh yeah, and why
- 34:02Speaker 3: not take it if you if you want, if that's
- 34:04Speaker 3: what you want to do. And I think Jack realizes that,
- 34:07Speaker 3: and and the role might turn into Yamaha's testrata if
- 34:11Speaker 3: he does, if he does the role perfectly. But I
- 34:13Speaker 3: agree with you, Matt, I don't. Jack's gonna have to
- 34:17Speaker 3: really do something special. He's gonna have to be on
- 34:19Speaker 3: corduro Pace in the first few Grand Prix of next
- 34:22Speaker 3: year to keep it right, I reckon for twenty six Yeah, yeah, agreed.
- 34:27Speaker 1: If you didn't watch yesterday's Grand Prix, just to fee
- 34:29Speaker 1: you in. Unfortunately, John Mire crashed. I know, surprise, surprise there.
- 34:34Speaker 1: We weren't expecting that, were we.
- 34:36Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that poor guy.
- 34:39Speaker 1: Yeah, poor Honda. I mean, just to like cap off
- 34:43Speaker 1: the rest of the field. No real changes to Honda.
- 34:47Speaker 1: We saw a glimpse of hope from Zako after in
- 34:50Speaker 1: those flyaway rounds, and we saw him progressing, But it
- 34:52Speaker 1: seems like he's Honda's star pupil now right.
- 34:55Speaker 3: Yeah, yea one hundred percent. And when you know, talking
- 34:59Speaker 3: to a few guys, all all four Hondas are identical
- 35:01Speaker 3: or supposedly get the same support tech support. So the
- 35:05Speaker 3: repsol ones aren't ahead of the LCR bikes by any means.
- 35:08Speaker 3: Apparently things come out and I mean Nakagami fastest in
- 35:14Speaker 3: FP one at Barcelon. I was like, wow, what's going on?
- 35:17Speaker 3: You don't want to get you don't want to stop
- 35:19Speaker 3: now tackle Like, what's what's happening? You can just still
- 35:21Speaker 3: at speed and Zako making it straight through to Q two.
- 35:25Speaker 3: But yeah, that's where it ended. But yeah, you're right.
- 35:28Speaker 3: From a Honda point of view, I've always rated Jo
- 35:30Speaker 3: and Zarka. I really like the guy and I'm a
- 35:34Speaker 3: fan of his of his writing ability, so it's been
- 35:37Speaker 3: good to see what he can do. But yeah, from
- 35:40Speaker 3: from my side, Mir and Marini really need to pick
- 35:42Speaker 3: up their game. They've got to be in front of Zako.
- 35:45Speaker 3: But I mean Honda, Honda's got to pick up their game.
- 35:49Speaker 3: I mean, the thing is, it's just it's funny. It's funny.
- 35:54Speaker 3: If you don't watch a whole weekend and you only
- 35:57Speaker 3: to tune in for the race, you forget what a
- 35:58Speaker 3: repsol Honda looks like because you don't see it. So true,
- 36:02Speaker 3: you don't see it. And that used to be the
- 36:04Speaker 3: go to motorcycle, like from you know, the nineties when
- 36:08Speaker 3: Dowan was riding them right through. So yeah, it's unreal and.
- 36:12Speaker 2: To show you how to show you how far it's
- 36:13Speaker 2: fallen as well. We don't get to say Repsol Hondre
- 36:15Speaker 2: anymore because there is no such things as of right now,
- 36:18Speaker 2: it doesn't exist. And how many times are we going
- 36:20Speaker 2: to say or I'm going to write that. Next year,
- 36:22Speaker 2: I'll write it and go no, just do it.
- 36:24Speaker 3: It's just shorthand, Well it is what nineteen ninety five, Yeah,
- 36:28Speaker 3: you know, Mickdwan was world champion on a Repsol Honda
- 36:31Speaker 3: for the first time, you know, and right through to
- 36:34Speaker 3: twenty twenty four. It's thirty years of racing.
- 36:36Speaker 2: So yes, here's the stat for both of you. I'm
- 36:38Speaker 2: just looking at these ridiculous assortment of numbers that I
- 36:41Speaker 2: keep over there. This is this is what gets me
- 36:45Speaker 2: out of bed the morning. So there were two riders
- 36:48Speaker 2: that had double figured DNFs this year. Augusto Fernandez had ten,
- 36:52Speaker 2: Juan Mia had fifteen DNFs. Yep, fifteen. That's more than
- 36:57Speaker 2: Martine and Banolt put together. And yeah that's that. Poor
- 37:01Speaker 2: the guy's got the crash writer. Okay, graphic that gets
- 37:04Speaker 2: put up at least three times a weekend. Yeah, poor Jois.
- 37:07Speaker 2: I think he's of all the guys ready to see
- 37:09Speaker 2: the back of the season. I reckon he's time.
- 37:10Speaker 3: And I mean when that guy was on the Suzuki,
- 37:12Speaker 3: he was missed consistency. He won the championship by winning
- 37:15Speaker 3: one Grand Prix, you know, like he just would put
- 37:18Speaker 3: away and always finish races and hardly ever crashed. So
- 37:22Speaker 3: for whatever reason, he just cannot get on with that Honda.
- 37:25Speaker 2: But I kind of admire it to some degree because
- 37:28Speaker 2: Marine's clearly made the decision. It's like, well, I'm not
- 37:30Speaker 2: going to hurt myself. Probably I'll probably be slower and
- 37:34Speaker 2: score a fewer points, but at least I'm going to
- 37:35Speaker 2: finish some races and not hurt go home and yeah, yeah, yeah, correct.
- 37:41Speaker 2: And Mer is just like this guy just like yelling
- 37:43Speaker 2: at a cloud. It's like, no, this can be better,
- 37:45Speaker 2: and he just tries and tries and tries. They're the
- 37:46Speaker 2: same big ames every time.
- 37:48Speaker 1: Matt. Have you had any rumors of who is replacing
- 37:51Speaker 1: Repsol as the title sponsor at HRC.
- 37:54Speaker 2: No. The last I heard is it might be a
- 37:57Speaker 2: Castrol thing, so it will be another fuel lubricants type deal.
- 38:01Speaker 2: But then they've they've had some involvement with ELCR in
- 38:03Speaker 2: the past, so that they might have to Chris, you
- 38:07Speaker 2: don't have Luccio Roles. I'll probably go to Luccio and
- 38:08Speaker 2: say we'd like to take one of your sponsors please,
- 38:10Speaker 2: and Lucia will save sure, here's what it costs.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Yeah, that's exactly right, you know, but look, I'll move
- 38:16Speaker 3: the I'll move the decimal cats over a little bit. Castrol,
- 38:19Speaker 3: I've at a type with Honda for a long time
- 38:20Speaker 3: though they were I rode for Castrol Honda in World
- 38:23Speaker 3: Supersport in two thousand two and one. I mean they
- 38:25Speaker 3: were around with the Edwards, Aaron slight days, some cool liveries.
- 38:29Speaker 3: But yeah, it's gonna be interesting Honda. It's it's a
- 38:33Speaker 3: funny one. Financially, I don't know the numbers ins and outs,
- 38:37Speaker 3: but I can I can bet you that Repsol don't
- 38:40Speaker 3: chuck in a lot of money. Ninety five percent or
- 38:42Speaker 3: ninety nine percent of that budget probably comes from HRC directly,
- 38:46Speaker 3: So they might just go with a full Honda livery
- 38:50Speaker 3: or they did it in ninety four with doing it
- 38:52Speaker 3: worked out all right.
- 38:53Speaker 2: That ye, well, as you just said before, it almost
- 38:55Speaker 2: doesn't matter what color they paint the bike because you
- 38:57Speaker 2: didn't see no anyway.
- 38:58Speaker 3: That's right, exactly, exactly true.
- 39:02Speaker 1: Let's move on to Moto too. We touched on it
- 39:05Speaker 1: a little bit with Ayagura, but Aaron Connett, he wasn't
- 39:09Speaker 1: the bridesmaid this time. He did win the final round
- 39:12Speaker 1: of twenty twenty four, but we were talking during the
- 39:15Speaker 1: race and obviously Sena age is good qualifying. He got
- 39:19Speaker 1: up the front early on, but just chew through those
- 39:21Speaker 1: tires and what away for him to finish the season.
- 39:23Speaker 1: But for a rookie season, I feel like he's done
- 39:25Speaker 1: really well, managed to get on the podium, had some
- 39:27Speaker 1: solid top ten performances throughout the year, so I think
- 39:30Speaker 1: it's been a good ride from the Aussie Yeah.
- 39:32Speaker 3: I was impressed. I didn't know Sena at all. Met
- 39:34Speaker 3: him at Philip Island, spent fabut of time with him
- 39:37Speaker 3: over the weekend, jogged the track on Wednesday, a few
- 39:40Speaker 3: different things and impressive young fella, very driven, knows what
- 39:45Speaker 3: he wants and that podium at Philipollum was sensational. But yes,
- 39:49Speaker 3: some of the rides this year have been really impressive
- 39:51Speaker 3: and that's what a rookie season's about. I mean there
- 39:54Speaker 3: were circuits for him to learn this year. It's you know,
- 39:57Speaker 3: putting it all together easy and Yeah, fingers crossed. They
- 40:02Speaker 3: can move forward staying with the same team. It's not
- 40:04Speaker 3: going to be husked Vanner branded, but the intact team
- 40:07Speaker 3: is staying there, and yeah, it should be good next year.
- 40:10Speaker 2: And even things like the cadence of the calendar, like
- 40:13Speaker 2: you can't prepare yourself until you get to World Championship
- 40:15Speaker 2: to do seven races in nine weekends and five of
- 40:19Speaker 2: those seven are flyways, like things like that. When you've
- 40:22Speaker 2: not done it before and you're getting used to these
- 40:24Speaker 2: tracks and the category and everything else, that takes a toll.
- 40:27Speaker 2: And so he'll be so much better for the run
- 40:29Speaker 2: next year.
- 40:30Speaker 3: I reckon percent really really impressive from him. Yeah, looking
- 40:34Speaker 3: forward to it.
- 40:36Speaker 1: I have to touch on Sergio Garcia's season though, because
- 40:40Speaker 1: started off on such a high, didn't it, and then
- 40:44Speaker 1: just out of nowhere, it just seems like you fell back.
- 40:46Speaker 1: And I think I touched on this on a podcast
- 40:48Speaker 1: earlier in the year where I was like, it seems
- 40:50Speaker 1: like all that talk of the possible motor GP ride
- 40:52Speaker 1: kind of got to his head. And I don't know
- 40:55Speaker 1: if that impacted things or possibilities or changes or whatnot,
- 40:59Speaker 1: but man, I feel for him because that was so
- 41:01Speaker 1: long where he was leading the championship, wasn't he and
- 41:03Speaker 1: then got overtaken and then all of a sudden.
- 41:06Speaker 2: He dropped out.
- 41:06Speaker 1: I think he finished third or fourth in the championship
- 41:09Speaker 1: in the end.
- 41:09Speaker 3: Yeah, if I was him or someone that manages him,
- 41:13Speaker 3: I would be straight on the phone to hold mutt
- 41:16Speaker 3: in and find out who that mental coach was and
- 41:18Speaker 3: get that sorted in this offseason.
- 41:21Speaker 2: I mean, I couldn't agree that's the issue.
- 41:23Speaker 3: I mean, oh, this the guy is fast and he
- 41:25Speaker 3: was very fast to study. There's got to be it's
- 41:27Speaker 3: got to be away of getting getting that sorted, you know.
- 41:30Speaker 3: If that is the case, yep.
- 41:33Speaker 1: And Moto three to round it out, David Alonzo and
- 41:38Speaker 1: we say, there's every race that we met. If you
- 41:40Speaker 1: watch Moto GP, make sure you watch the Moto three
- 41:43Speaker 1: pick a three racing because it is some of the best.
- 41:46Speaker 2: I was on the edge of my seat once again.
- 41:49Speaker 1: Oh my god, you guys says they're overtaking and they're passing.
- 41:52Speaker 1: But David Alonzo, what a talent.
- 41:54Speaker 3: I'm so excited to watch him and what he's going
- 41:56Speaker 3: to do in Motto two next year. You know. But
- 41:59Speaker 3: did he correct me? If I was at twelve or
- 42:01Speaker 3: thirteen races, fourteen in the closest category that we have.
- 42:09Speaker 3: It's but he just has the ability to sit in
- 42:15Speaker 3: the group and then with three or four laps to
- 42:17Speaker 3: go make his way to the front. And then he
- 42:20Speaker 3: is just so good off the turn that he doesn't
- 42:22Speaker 3: allow the guys to get up beside him, and he's
- 42:24Speaker 3: strong enough on the brakes, and then he turns it
- 42:25Speaker 3: a little bit better than everyone else. He's just we've
- 42:29Speaker 3: got to remember the rest of these guys are the
- 42:31Speaker 3: best riders in the world. But what he can do
- 42:34Speaker 3: on that machine, it's sensational. Needless to say. He does
- 42:39Speaker 3: training away from the track with Mark Marquez. I mean
- 42:43Speaker 3: the guy, he's a star of the future. He is.
- 42:46Speaker 3: He is your next one for sure.
- 42:48Speaker 2: What's interesting is I was talking to a few people
- 42:50Speaker 2: in the lead up to Philip Island. They were saying,
- 42:52Speaker 2: the bigger the bikes get, the better he's going to
- 42:54Speaker 2: be because his sort of supernatural talent. Compared to the rest.
- 42:58Speaker 2: He's awesome on the breaks, which in Moto three is
- 43:01Speaker 2: not such a big thing as it's all slipstreaming and
- 43:03Speaker 2: light bikes. When you've got a bigger, heavier, bike, and
- 43:05Speaker 2: you've got to get it stopped. That's when they reckon.
- 43:07Speaker 2: He's going to really come into his own. But here's
- 43:09Speaker 2: one for you, Chris. I was talking to Ronita last
- 43:11Speaker 2: night when that race was going on. So every rider
- 43:14Speaker 2: in every World Championship category this year, do you realize
- 43:16Speaker 2: there's only three riders in the entire paddock that have
- 43:19Speaker 2: won more Grand Prix in the World Championship than Alozzo
- 43:23Speaker 2: has after two years of Moto three Maverick Vinalez, Mark Marquez,
- 43:27Speaker 2: Pecavagnaya Alonso has won eighteen Grand Prix in two years.
- 43:32Speaker 2: Nobody else in any World Championship category has won more,
- 43:35Speaker 2: and I thought that cannot be right, so I went
- 43:37Speaker 2: and checked he's won more World Championship races and Jue
- 43:40Speaker 2: Martin has No way World Championship races in an abasity
- 43:43Speaker 2: and he has. He's won eighteen Grand Prix in two years.
- 43:46Speaker 3: No way. That is undelievable. He's the most winning Motor
- 43:51Speaker 3: three rider of all time, isn't he most.
- 43:53Speaker 2: Of the season and he's on two seasons two seas.
- 43:56Speaker 3: It's just unbelievable that ASPA team doational thing with young riders.
- 44:01Speaker 3: They always have, you know, from right back when Alvaro
- 44:05Speaker 3: Artista was in there in the early two thousands, all
- 44:08Speaker 3: the way through. Yeah, they just they just do such
- 44:11Speaker 3: a good job with young, young guys and they've obviously
- 44:13Speaker 3: got an extreme talent here, and he's just a good
- 44:17Speaker 3: young kid. He's just got to smile on his face
- 44:18Speaker 3: all the time. He's happy, he's loving what he's doing,
- 44:20Speaker 3: and yeah, it's gonna be exciting to see what he
- 44:23Speaker 3: can do on the bigger bike next year.
- 44:26Speaker 1: We have to touch on our Aussie riders though. Jacob Rulestone.
- 44:30Speaker 1: After a very not the best second half of the season,
- 44:34Speaker 1: he seemed to bring the bike home in P eight,
- 44:37Speaker 1: which is phenomenal for the young rookie rookie first year
- 44:40Speaker 1: again in the World Championship, and we spoke about this
- 44:43Speaker 1: earlier din We Matt where how Jacob seemed to start
- 44:46Speaker 1: the year off really well and then the end of
- 44:48Speaker 1: the season seemed to tip down and it's like the
- 44:50Speaker 1: opposite of what we expected from a rookie ye roto GP,
- 44:53Speaker 1: we thought that it'd take him while to find his feet,
- 44:55Speaker 1: but honestly, that's start of the year. He was solid
- 44:58Speaker 1: top ten performances, battling with the leading group.
- 45:02Speaker 3: I was really.
- 45:02Speaker 1: Impressed with jac and I'm excited to see how he goes.
- 45:05Speaker 1: Same thing with Donner. He's back in that same team
- 45:07Speaker 1: for next year. I think he knows that he's understand
- 45:10Speaker 1: he's done one whole lap. Now let's go for fighting
- 45:13Speaker 1: for the wins or podiums at least next year.
- 45:16Speaker 3: Right, you said it, right, And so I think he's
- 45:19Speaker 3: he excelled expectations at the start of the year and
- 45:24Speaker 3: then the end of the year probably didn't get as
- 45:26Speaker 3: well as we thought. But an eighth to finish the
- 45:28Speaker 3: season is quite strong. But the team Tech three is
- 45:32Speaker 3: a great team. There's a lot of experience there and
- 45:35Speaker 3: it's really it's a good sign that they wanted to
- 45:38Speaker 3: keep him for next year, so they obviously see potential
- 45:40Speaker 3: and they see growth there. So again, great young fella,
- 45:45Speaker 3: and I think, yeah, the future is right there, So
- 45:48Speaker 3: fingers crossed he can get that sorted.
- 45:50Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 45:50Speaker 3: The others Joel Kelso, well, Joel's been there a few years,
- 45:53Speaker 3: hasn't he. And he's had again an up and down
- 45:54Speaker 3: season pole positions, challenging quite often in the front group,
- 45:59Speaker 3: but just lacking that little bit to be a constant
- 46:03Speaker 3: Grand Prix podium challenger, so he's gonna be in the
- 46:07Speaker 3: championship again next year. So we've got Twosi's there, So
- 46:09Speaker 3: fingers crossed Joel can can find something.
- 46:13Speaker 1: Chris, I wanted to ask you. We often talk about this.
- 46:15Speaker 1: It seems like Joel's mid race pace just drops off.
- 46:19Speaker 1: What do you think that is or why do you
- 46:21Speaker 1: think that is?
- 46:22Speaker 3: I got I can't tell you exactly.
- 46:25Speaker 2: I don't know.
- 46:27Speaker 3: It's obviously something that's constant with him or the bike
- 46:30Speaker 3: set up or the team, something they've got to work on.
- 46:33Speaker 2: You know.
- 46:34Speaker 3: I imagine that Joel is just lacking that tenth of
- 46:38Speaker 3: a second a lap compared to the other guys, So
- 46:41Speaker 3: he has to push that little bit harder early on
- 46:44Speaker 3: to sit with the group, and then when those guys
- 46:47Speaker 3: picked that pace up that one or two tenths, he
- 46:50Speaker 3: just doesn't have that little bit extra to go and
- 46:53Speaker 3: so he's just lacking that little bit, whether, like I say,
- 46:55Speaker 3: whether it's machine set up, whether it's a writing style thing,
- 46:58Speaker 3: whether there's something that he's got to be able to
- 47:01Speaker 3: find and manage there. But it is quite consistent, isn't it.
- 47:04Speaker 3: It's a lot of Grand prize it happens so yeah,
- 47:07Speaker 3: fingers crossed. You can work on that and find something
- 47:09Speaker 3: for the future.
- 47:12Speaker 1: Well, before we wrap things up, Matt, you did give
- 47:14Speaker 1: us a little spicy bold prediction earlier. But from you both,
- 47:19Speaker 1: who are you most excited for or what are you
- 47:21Speaker 1: excited for to see Tuesday's test or next year in
- 47:24Speaker 1: Moto GP, Let's go for the MotoGP category.
- 47:27Speaker 3: Oh, you can go first. Mark, think about this one.
- 47:33Speaker 2: There's a lot, Yeah, because you've got so much change.
- 47:35Speaker 2: I mean it's twelve twelve out of the twenty two
- 47:37Speaker 2: on this year's greet to either stepping out or stepping
- 47:39Speaker 2: into new garages on Tuesday in Barcelona. It's a massive
- 47:43Speaker 2: amount of change. I think it was six or seven
- 47:45Speaker 2: last year. For context, it's almost double. But we haven't
- 47:49Speaker 2: had a super team like Marquees Badyay, Like this is
- 47:53Speaker 2: going to be absolute box office When you think, do
- 47:56Speaker 2: you Cati probably the best bike, certainly the best team. Yeah,
- 48:02Speaker 2: you've got all of the varying sides of the Italy, Spain,
- 48:05Speaker 2: Marquez Rossi stuff coming together in the same garage. Mark's
- 48:08Speaker 2: going into Peco's domain.
- 48:11Speaker 3: This is two thousand and nine Rossi, Lorenzo. You could
- 48:15Speaker 3: nearly be saying the same things, couldn't.
- 48:17Speaker 2: You Yeah, one hundred percent are going to are we
- 48:19Speaker 2: going to have a wall down the middle of the
- 48:20Speaker 2: garage back in the day. But watching one of the
- 48:24Speaker 2: things I've really enjoyed this year is Mark sort of
- 48:26Speaker 2: in his own head, has got the answer to is
- 48:28Speaker 2: it me or is it the machinery because he wasn't
- 48:31Speaker 2: sure when he was at Hondo, like do I still
- 48:33Speaker 2: have this or not because the Honda had a hard
- 48:35Speaker 2: ceiling on it. Seeing him on that bike, Oh boy,
- 48:39Speaker 2: that's going to be matt. I can't wait to see
- 48:41Speaker 2: that in twenty twenty five. That's my storyline. But I've
- 48:44Speaker 2: now given you at least ninety seconds of padding Chris
- 48:46Speaker 2: to actually think, oh, yeah.
- 48:47Speaker 3: No, no, I wasn't. I was excited with your comment,
- 48:49Speaker 3: and that is a big one for me and Mark's. Obviously,
- 48:52Speaker 3: there's going to be so much talk about all these
- 48:54Speaker 3: personal sponsors that are changing, you know, between you know,
- 48:57Speaker 3: what the factory team have in his personal ones and
- 49:00Speaker 3: et cetera, et cetera. There's lots to talk about that. Yeah,
- 49:02Speaker 3: I think in the test we're not going to see
- 49:04Speaker 3: a lot because I think Mark is going to get
- 49:05Speaker 3: them to work straight away. He's going to have a
- 49:06Speaker 3: twenty four and a twenty five j Caadi and it's
- 49:09Speaker 3: just going to be get ourselves in the right position.
- 49:11Speaker 3: But I think come next year we potentially are going
- 49:15Speaker 3: to see the fastest guy on the fastest bike. It
- 49:17Speaker 3: could be a bit like Lewis Hamilton a few years
- 49:20Speaker 3: ago having a Mercedes in Formula One, you know, or
- 49:23Speaker 3: a Max for Strappin in a Red Bull or whatever
- 49:25Speaker 3: like that scenario. But I'm excited to see what Yamaha
- 49:30Speaker 3: bring their development that side of the bike. Is that
- 49:34Speaker 3: V four coming out that they're talking about already, the
- 49:38Speaker 3: other two Yamahas, the Pramaha. There you go, I got
- 49:42Speaker 3: it in for it everyone.
- 49:44Speaker 2: There you go.
- 49:46Speaker 3: But OLIVERA and Miller on that Yamaha and what they
- 49:51Speaker 3: can do and the development forward for the Japanese bikes
- 49:55Speaker 3: from a testing site, and then Johe Martin a number
- 49:58Speaker 3: one on an a Preer. I think we'll see we'll
- 50:02Speaker 3: finally see what is the actual speed of that a Priyer.
- 50:07Speaker 1: Well, fellas, I feel like that pretty much wraps up
- 50:09Speaker 1: our twenty twenty four season. Our Solidarity Grand Prix review.
