  Speaker 3: to me. Today's message is called return backsliding children, and man,

  Speaker 3: and state today. Lord let us know that no matter

  Speaker 3: how far we've fallen, no matter O God, what we've

  Speaker 3: done or what we're dealing with, you love us, and

  Speaker 3: you call us back to yourself. We give you thanks

  Speaker 3: ain't manll lo. All right, well, let's dive in. I'm

  Speaker 3: coming at you from the New king James verse eleven.

  Speaker 3: Then the Lord said to me, backsiting Israel has shown
• 4:18
  Speaker 3: herself more righteous than treacherous Judah. Wow. Now, remember the
• 4:25
  Speaker 3: northern in the Southern kingdoms. The Northern kingdom was called Israel.
• 4:31
  Speaker 3: The Southern kingdom was called Judah, and it consisted of
• 4:35
  Speaker 3: two tribes. Now keep in mind, the Northern Kingdom did
• 4:41
  Speaker 3: not have a godly king, maybe one or two. Judah
• 4:48
  Speaker 3: supposedly had more godly kings than Israel. And God right
• 4:54
  Speaker 3: here is saying that Northern Israel was more righteous than treacherous.

  Speaker 3: He calls Judah treacherous. Now this is a shocking statement
• 5:05
  Speaker 3: because Israel openly rebelled against God, but Judah pretended to
• 5:11
  Speaker 3: serve God while secretly rebelling. God. Says Judah's hypocrisy was
• 5:19
  Speaker 3: actually worse than Israel's. All out rebellion. Open rebellion is terrible,
• 5:30
  Speaker 3: but religious hypocrisy is often even more dangerous because it
• 5:36
  Speaker 3: hides behind a mask. It's harder to detect. It can
• 5:42
  Speaker 3: deceive us and we think that we're actually right right.
• 5:47
  Speaker 3: God doesn't look for perfect people, He's looking for honest people. Now,
• 5:55
  Speaker 3: the person who admits they need God is often closer
• 5:59
  Speaker 3: to the restoration and the person pretending that everything is fine.

  Speaker 3: Hey man, all God wants us to do is to
• 6:10
  Speaker 3: be honest and to admit we struggle in this area.
• 6:15
  Speaker 3: Look at God's word. What does God's word say about
• 6:18
  Speaker 3: this area that I struggle with? Ask God for forgiveness
• 6:21
  Speaker 3: and ask the Holy Spirit for help. It's just as
• 6:25
  Speaker 3: simple as that. Then to try to fake like we're
• 6:29
  Speaker 3: self righteous and look down on other people just because
• 6:33
  Speaker 3: we make other people look bad, it doesn't make us
• 6:36
  Speaker 3: look good, you know what I mean. Just because you
• 6:40
  Speaker 3: make other people seem lesser than or you put other
• 6:44
  Speaker 3: people down like you're better than everyone else. That's the
• 6:47
  Speaker 3: sign of pride, and religious pride. Spiritual pride is dangerous.
• 6:55
  Speaker 3: Twelve and thirteen. Go and proclean these words towards the
• 7:01
  Speaker 3: north and say return back slighting Israel says the Lord.
• 7:07
  Speaker 3: I will not cause my anger to fall on you,
• 7:11
  Speaker 3: for I am merciful, says the Lord. I will not
• 7:15
  Speaker 3: remain angry forever. Only acknowledge your iniquity. That you have
• 7:23
  Speaker 3: transgressed against the Lord, your God, and have scattered your
• 7:29
  Speaker 3: charms to alien deities under every green tree, and you
• 7:35
  Speaker 3: have not obeyed the voice. You have not obeyed my voice,
• 7:41
  Speaker 3: says the Lord. All right, let's break that down. Notice
• 7:46
  Speaker 3: right here God's requirement. He doesn't say perform rituals. Right,
• 7:56
  Speaker 3: He doesn't want more performances in church. And he doesn't
• 8:02
  Speaker 3: say earn my forgiveness. He says, acknowledge your sin. Just
• 8:09
  Speaker 3: as simple as that repentance begins with honesty. Just acknowledge
• 8:16
  Speaker 3: it before him in the name of Jesus. Also God's mercy.

  Speaker 3: Here God desires not punishment. God's desire is restoration. The
• 8:39
  Speaker 3: door back to God is always repentance. He doesn't desire
• 8:48
  Speaker 3: to judge. He doesn't want to judge. He wants to restore.

  Speaker 3: Right now, many people stay trapped because they refuse to
• 8:58
  Speaker 3: admit that where there they are. They refuse to be
• 9:02
  Speaker 3: honest with themselves, even when I say, during our accountability
• 9:06
  Speaker 3: partner segment. If you don't have integrity, it will not work.
• 9:11
  Speaker 3: It won't work for you. Healing begins when people stop
• 9:14
  Speaker 3: making excuses and start confessing. God already knows the question
• 9:23
  Speaker 3: is whether you're willing to be honest with him or not.
• 9:28
  Speaker 3: Hey man, God already sees. He knows everything. We cannot
• 9:32
  Speaker 3: hide anything from him. He just wants us to be honest.
• 9:39
  Speaker 3: Now Verse fourteen and fifteen return old backsliding children, says
• 9:45
  Speaker 3: the Lord. For I am married to you. I will
• 9:50
  Speaker 3: take you one from a city and two from a family,
• 9:56
  Speaker 3: and I will bring you to Zion, and I will
• 9:59
  Speaker 3: give you shepherds according to my heart, who will feed
• 10:05
  Speaker 3: you in knowledge and understanding. Amen. I pray that that's me,
• 10:13
  Speaker 3: that's my heart. I desire to be a shepherd according
• 10:17
  Speaker 3: to God's heart. And that is my desire, even on
• 10:21
  Speaker 3: this podcast, to feed you with knowledge and to feed
• 10:25
  Speaker 3: you with understanding. We love it. A lot of churches
• 10:28
  Speaker 3: out there will not teach you what you're getting here

  Speaker 3: on this podcast. And I'm not saying it to puff

  Speaker 3: myself up. I'm not saying it to be prideful. Actually,

  Speaker 3: I'm saying this with a broken heart because there's going

  Speaker 3: to be a lot of people who perish through lack
• 10:46
  Speaker 3: of knowledge, and the pastors are not feeding them. The
• 10:50
  Speaker 3: pastors are not looking out for the flock for the people.
• 10:56
  Speaker 3: The pastors, for the most part, are looking out for
• 10:58
  Speaker 3: themselves to lie in their own pockets. And I wish
• 11:03
  Speaker 3: it wasn't so. Man. Now God describes himself as a
• 11:11
  Speaker 3: faithful husband pursuing an unfaithful bride. Now that's heartbreaking. I've
• 11:19
  Speaker 3: been in many relationships growing up as a teenager. If
• 11:23
  Speaker 3: you know my testimony, I came from an abusive background.
• 11:26
  Speaker 3: I did not have a female figure or a mother
• 11:29
  Speaker 3: figure in my life. And actually I got some closure
• 11:35
  Speaker 3: just this year. I went back to visit my mom
• 11:38
  Speaker 3: and pray over her. She had a Milton illness. You know,
• 11:42
  Speaker 3: I can't blame her for it, but as children, it's
• 11:46
  Speaker 3: hard to understand that. So the love that I was
• 11:51
  Speaker 3: longing for, I thought I could get it from my
• 11:54
  Speaker 3: girlfriends growing up in high school and all that, and
• 11:59
  Speaker 3: you know they all need up, you know, stepping out
• 12:02
  Speaker 3: on me, you know, getting with other guys or whatever,
• 12:05
  Speaker 3: or just straight up leaving me and this and then
• 12:08
  Speaker 3: and the other. So I know how it feels. I
• 12:10
  Speaker 3: have a broken heart to pursue after someone who doesn't
• 12:14
  Speaker 3: really love or care for you the same way. Right now,
• 12:22
  Speaker 3: God is in the same situation with the nation of Israel.
• 12:28
  Speaker 3: Then he promised godly leaders who will shepherdess people. Now,
• 12:40
  Speaker 3: God's restoration always includes spiritual nourishment a man, and I
• 12:47
  Speaker 3: pray that you're getting that right here on the podcast.

  Speaker 3: Every time you tune in, I pray that revival is

  Speaker 3: breaking out on the other side of this. We know

  Speaker 3: God raises up shepherds who feed people with truth. Amen,

  Speaker 3: And to my very last breath, that is what I'm

  Speaker 3: committed to. I'm committed to truth because first of all,

  Speaker 3: you don't need my opinion. My opinion is not gonna
• 13:41
  Speaker 3: help anyone. The world has been lying to us ever
• 13:44
  Speaker 3: since our birth, our conception. We're not gonna find truth
• 13:49
  Speaker 3: out of this world. Look at the news nowadays right,
• 13:53
  Speaker 3: Look at the Internet. Look at all the deception it
• 13:56
  Speaker 3: lies that are floating around, and even our own last
• 14:00
  Speaker 3: will lie to us. We can deceive ourselves. It's important
• 14:05
  Speaker 3: and imperative that we are grounded in the truth. One
• 14:12
  Speaker 3: of God's greatest gifts is faithful leaders. Good shepherds don't
• 14:20
  Speaker 3: entertain goats. Amen, They feed sheep, They teach truth, They
• 14:30
  Speaker 3: protect the flock and point people towards Christ. Amen. And
• 14:37
  Speaker 3: that's been my heart. If you've known me for any
• 14:42
  Speaker 3: period of time or known any of my ministries, you
• 14:46
  Speaker 3: would know that. At Club His Hop, when we actually

  Speaker 3: had the club up and running, after every concert we

  Speaker 3: would hold an altar call. We would proclaim the truth

  Speaker 3: of the Gospel. And also, my heart has always been

  Speaker 3: to protect the babes in Christ. We've had situations where

  Speaker 3: new people would come into the ministry and the older
• 15:18
  Speaker 3: people would try to pounce and jump on them because
• 15:20
  Speaker 3: of sitting their lives, and I'm like, no, uh, they
• 15:24
  Speaker 3: are babes in Christ. That was the one thing that
• 15:28
  Speaker 3: would get me heeded. People would try to come in
• 15:33
  Speaker 3: the people that I'm working with and discipling and feed
• 15:37
  Speaker 3: them the truth. People would try to come in just
• 15:39
  Speaker 3: because they're talented or you know, just because you know,
• 15:43
  Speaker 3: they're interested in their gifts, but they're not so much
• 15:47
  Speaker 3: interested in their character. They wanna put them on platforms
• 15:51
  Speaker 3: that they're not ready for. See, your character has to
• 15:56
  Speaker 3: match your elevation pattern all throughout scripture, because why allow
• 16:04
  Speaker 3: you to go all the way to the top, but
• 16:06
  Speaker 3: you're not. You're gonna fall to sin, You're gonna backslide,
• 16:10
  Speaker 3: and then you're gonna affect more people, more of the
• 16:14
  Speaker 3: blood will be on your hands. And I didn't want
• 16:17
  Speaker 3: to be responsible for that before God. I'm not gonna
• 16:20
  Speaker 3: put someone on a platform that they're not ready for
• 16:26
  Speaker 3: and then they self destruct and then the people that
• 16:29
  Speaker 3: we've been ministering to get affected, and then God holds
• 16:31
  Speaker 3: me accountable. And that was just one of the things
• 16:35
  Speaker 3: that people couldn't understand. People thought, well, why can't I
• 16:38
  Speaker 3: do my own thing? I don't need you, I cannot
• 16:42
  Speaker 3: be you know, this is God's house. You know what
• 16:44
  Speaker 3: I'm saying, This is the word of God's you know,
• 16:47
  Speaker 3: this is how God because you can go out there
• 16:50
  Speaker 3: on your own in backslide and now you're leading people
• 16:58
  Speaker 3: the hell and their blood boods are their blood is
• 17:01
  Speaker 3: on your hands when you could have been disciples and
• 17:05
  Speaker 3: held accountable and elevated as your character elevates. Right, it's
• 17:11
  Speaker 3: God who uplifts and it is God who tears down.

  Speaker 3: And I don't want to maintain this. I don't want
• 17:19
  Speaker 3: to do this on my own to where God is
• 17:22
  Speaker 3: not involved. A man. Now, I know there's a work,

  Speaker 3: there's a process. I've not done everything perfectly. I know

  Speaker 3: things have slipped through the cracks, but I just pray
• 17:32
  Speaker 3: that God's grace will cover. But that's always been my heart,
• 17:36
  Speaker 3: is to protect the flock and to point people towards Christ.

  Speaker 3: I'm not looking to be a celebrities. Celebrities get away
• 17:44
  Speaker 3: with nasty stuff. Look at the celebrities today. They can sind,
• 17:49
  Speaker 3: they can douse people with baby oil and all this
• 17:54
  Speaker 3: stuff and get away with it because they're celebrities. But
• 17:58
  Speaker 3: ministers and pastors are old accountable. We are to walk
• 18:03
  Speaker 3: in righteousness, Amen, all right? Sixteen th eighteen. Then it
• 18:12
  Speaker 3: shall come to pass when you are multiplied and increased
• 18:20
  Speaker 3: in the land, And those days says the Lord, that
• 18:23
  Speaker 3: they will say no more the ark of the Covenant
• 18:27
  Speaker 3: of the Lord. It shall not come to mind, nor
• 18:32
  Speaker 3: shall they remember it, nor shall they visit it, nor
• 18:36
  Speaker 3: shall it be made anymore. At the time Jeremiah shall
• 18:41
  Speaker 3: be called the throne of the Lord. I mean at
• 18:45
  Speaker 3: the time, Jerusalem shall be called the throne of the Lord,
• 18:48
  Speaker 3: and all the nations shall be gathered to it. So
• 18:51
  Speaker 3: the name of the Lord to Jerusalem. No more shall
• 18:55
  Speaker 3: they follow the dictates of their evil hearts. Now highlight that,
• 19:00
  Speaker 3: please high like this. This is key, This is scripture.

  Speaker 3: See that was the Holy Spirit. I was just talking
• 19:07
  Speaker 3: about that. And look the word of God is backing
• 19:12
  Speaker 3: that up. No more shall we follow the dictates of
• 19:17
  Speaker 3: our evil hearts. We are to walk in the spirit,
• 19:21
  Speaker 3: not by the dictates of our evil heart. Look at
• 19:24
  Speaker 3: what this did to the entire nation. And those days
• 19:30
  Speaker 3: the House of Judah shall walk with the House of Israel,
• 19:36
  Speaker 3: and they shall come together out of the land of
• 19:39
  Speaker 3: the North into the land that I have given as
• 19:43
  Speaker 3: an inheritance to their fathers. Now this speaks of restoration, right,
• 19:50
  Speaker 3: this points prophetically to the future of the nation. They
• 19:55
  Speaker 3: will be restored. God promises unity, worship, and his presence
• 20:01
  Speaker 3: among his people. They will no longer have to follow
• 20:05
  Speaker 3: after the ark or anything else, God's presence himself will
• 20:10
  Speaker 3: be there. Hallelujah. Now this is looking towards the future.

  Speaker 3: This is God's future kingdom, where Israel is restored and
• 20:26
  Speaker 3: nations gather to worship the Lord. Amen. One day division
• 20:34
  Speaker 3: will end. One day Christ himself will reign. Hallelujah. One
• 20:40
  Speaker 3: day every need will bow and every tongue will confess
• 20:46
  Speaker 3: that Jesus Christ is Lord Amen nineteen and twenty. But

  Speaker 3: I said, how can I put you among the children
• 20:58
  Speaker 3: and give you a pleasant life? Land O, beautiful heritage

  Speaker 3: of the hosts of nations? And I said, you shall
• 21:08
  Speaker 3: call me my father? And that turned away from me.

  Speaker 3: Surely as a wife treacherously departs from her husband. So
• 21:18
  Speaker 3: have you dealt treacherously with me? Old House of Israel?
• 21:22
  Speaker 3: Says the Lord. Woo. Now this is heaven. God again
• 21:31
  Speaker 3: compares israel unfaithfulness to adultery to an unfaithful wife. But
• 21:40
  Speaker 3: still he desires reconciliation. Now, God's love remains steadfast even
• 21:55
  Speaker 3: when people repeatedly fail him. Man, I know the feeling like, Man,
• 22:05
  Speaker 3: I don't wanna feel God another day? You know what
• 22:09
  Speaker 3: I mean? This is called the amazing grace of God.

  Speaker 3: I am so thankful that God has grace. Just imagine
• 22:22
  Speaker 3: if God didn't have grace, man, this world would be
• 22:24
  Speaker 3: in trouble. God doesn't love us because we're perfect. He
• 22:31
  Speaker 3: loves us because that is his nature. His love continues
• 22:41
  Speaker 3: reaching for us even when we don't even want his
• 22:47
  Speaker 3: love or warrant his love. What an amazing God. Amen,

  Speaker 3: Verse twenty one through twenty five. A voice heard on
• 23:01
  Speaker 3: the desolate heights, weeping in supplications of the children of Israel.
• 23:07
  Speaker 3: For they have perverted their way, they have forgotten the
• 23:11
  Speaker 3: Lord their God. Return you backslighting children, and I will
• 23:17
  Speaker 3: heal your backslightning. Indeed, we do come to you, for
• 23:24
  Speaker 3: you are the Lord our God. Truly in vain is
• 23:28
  Speaker 3: salvation hot for from the heels and from the multitude
• 23:36
  Speaker 3: of mountains, Truly, and the Lord our God is the
• 23:40
  Speaker 3: salvation of Israel. For shame has devoured the labor of
• 23:45
  Speaker 3: our fathers, from our youth, their flocks and their herds,
• 23:51
  Speaker 3: their sons and their daughters. We lie down in our shame,
• 23:57
  Speaker 3: and our reproach covers us, for we have sin against
• 24:02
  Speaker 3: the Lord our God. We and our fathers, from our youth,
• 24:08
  Speaker 3: even to this day, and they have not obeyed the
• 24:12
  Speaker 3: voice of the Lord, our God. Wow, all right, let's
• 24:18
  Speaker 3: break this down. All right here we finally see true repentance. Finally. Amen.

  Speaker 3: Now the people they acknowledge their sin, They stop blaming
• 24:31
  Speaker 3: the others, and they stop trusting in idols. They finally
• 24:38
  Speaker 3: recognize that salvation comes only from the Lord, their God. Hallelujah.

  Speaker 3: Now that genuine repentance includes confession, humility in turning back
• 24:57
  Speaker 3: to God. I love verse twenty two where God says,
• 25:05
  Speaker 3: return you backsliding children, and I will heal your backslightning.
• 25:12
  Speaker 3: Notice God doesn't just forgive, he heals. Some people need forgiveness.

  Speaker 3: Others need healing from years of rebellion, guilt, shame, and brokenness,
• 25:27
  Speaker 3: and God offers both a man and Remember, God gives
• 25:34
  Speaker 3: us a promise. He said that he will creating a
• 25:39
  Speaker 3: creating us a brand new heart. He's not just gonna
• 25:45
  Speaker 3: clean up the heart we have or try to make
• 25:49
  Speaker 3: it better. No, he replaces it with a whole new heart.

  Speaker 3: That needs to be our prayer today, Oh God, creating
