- 1:40Speaker 2: message or whatever we want to know. But we are
- 1:42Speaker 2: for sure just sitting back having some drinks and of
- 1:44Speaker 2: course stop talking about Star Dust Ranch.
- 1:48Speaker 3: We sure are having some drinks and later gonna have
- 1:51Speaker 3: some pizza.
- 1:51Speaker 2: I think, is that what we're doing? We are doing pizza.
- 1:53Speaker 3: I'll do it. Why not?
- 1:54Speaker 2: Sweet?
- 1:55Speaker 3: Why not?
- 1:55Speaker 2: It's a day to celebrate, it is, it is honestly,
- 1:59Speaker 2: in my opinion, the best day of the year.
- 2:02Speaker 3: Really, it is.
- 2:04Speaker 2: Name a better day. Name it. Let's hear it.
- 2:06Speaker 3: Anyone like you don't think your birthday is better?
- 2:10Speaker 2: No, that's only celebrating me, not.
- 2:15Speaker 3: A day that you get to go to a Canucks game.
- 2:17Speaker 2: I mean, that's pretty cool. But Halloween, Halloween is always awesome.
- 2:22Speaker 2: The Canucks ain't always awesome.
- 2:23Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. Yeah, we witnessed that last night. That
- 2:26Speaker 3: was a doozy.
- 2:27Speaker 2: Yeah, they lost six nothing, They shit the bed. In
- 2:30Speaker 2: their own words, it was embarrassing. So yeah and their
- 2:34Speaker 2: own yeah, that was myers, right.
- 2:36Speaker 3: Yeah, And it's funny because earlier I was like, that
- 2:39Speaker 3: was embarrassing.
- 2:40Speaker 2: Yeah, but we digressed. That's hockey. You're not here for hockey.
- 2:42Speaker 2: You're here for some spooky, for some creepy, for some terrifying.
- 2:47Speaker 2: And that is exactly what I guarantee you start us
- 2:50Speaker 2: ranch has.
- 2:52Speaker 3: So Okay, well, two things we got to talk about
- 2:54Speaker 3: two things really really really quick. First of all, I
- 2:56Speaker 3: do think we should be going for a walk in
- 2:57Speaker 3: our skeleton one sees today because I just think we should, okay.
- 3:01Speaker 3: And second of all, there was a comment and we
- 3:04Speaker 3: should just say we won't be putting an outer an
- 3:07Speaker 3: episode on Friday like normally we put out episodes on
- 3:10Speaker 3: Tuesday and Friday. But just because of Halloween Week and
- 3:12Speaker 3: it was you know, seven days of episodes, our next
- 3:16Speaker 3: episode will not be until Tuesday. So just so you
- 3:18Speaker 3: guys are aware.
- 3:19Speaker 2: Correct, otherwise that would be like eight days. Yeah, and
- 3:23Speaker 2: it's just yeah, Tuesday, We're coming back Tuesday. And since
- 3:27Speaker 2: we didn't announce any patreons throughout Halloween Week, Tuesday, we
- 3:30Speaker 2: will be catching up and announcing all of you guys
- 3:32Speaker 2: who have subscribed in the past few days. We'll be
- 3:35Speaker 2: announcing you guys on Tuesday.
- 3:37Speaker 3: If you do want to carry on listening to this
- 3:39Speaker 3: Halloween Week, we do have three more episodes, one today,
- 3:42Speaker 3: once more on one the next day. That's going to
- 3:45Speaker 3: be going up on Patreon exactly. So if you're like,
- 3:48Speaker 3: I'm not done yet, you could sign up on there
- 3:50Speaker 3: if you want it. I have no pressure obviously.
- 3:52Speaker 2: And when you sign up, there's a huge back library
- 3:54Speaker 2: of all of our episodes because Patreon gets an extra
- 3:57Speaker 2: episode each month, and these three are yeah, basically a
- 4:01Speaker 2: continuation of Halloween Week. We didn't get an episode up
- 4:03Speaker 2: last month because we were a bit busy with our move,
- 4:05Speaker 2: so we are making it up with an extra episode
- 4:08Speaker 2: which is extending Halloween week. Long story short, So there
- 4:10Speaker 2: you go. Yeah, there you go.
- 4:12Speaker 3: Okay, we're ready for this one, though.
- 4:14Speaker 2: Are you ready for this one?
- 4:15Speaker 3: I think so?
- 4:17Speaker 2: You think so?
- 4:18Speaker 3: Thanks?
- 4:18Speaker 2: So okay, Well, make sure that you and I are
- 4:19Speaker 2: both topped up on our glasses. We are drinking wine
- 4:22Speaker 2: right now. Feel free to pour a drink for yourself.
- 4:24Speaker 2: If you're not an alcoholic person. Wow, not an alco
- 4:27Speaker 2: I'm not saying you're an alcoholic. If you're not drinking
- 4:30Speaker 2: or indulging in alcohol, feel free to pour any drink
- 4:34Speaker 2: you like. You worded that so terribly horrifically honestly, sit down,
- 4:40Speaker 2: have a drink with us. Have a drink with us
- 4:42Speaker 2: means you enjoy a drink of your.
- 4:44Speaker 3: Choosing glass, water, pop, whatever.
- 4:47Speaker 2: The only thing is I request that you make it
- 4:49Speaker 2: a little more enjoyable. Make that water a little extra cooler,
- 4:53Speaker 2: Put a straw in your pop. Those little things make
- 4:56Speaker 2: it extra.
- 4:57Speaker 3: Use the fancy glasses.
- 4:58Speaker 2: There you go, use the fancy glasses. Okay, Well, today
- 5:02Speaker 2: we are talking about Stardust Ranch and since childhood, the
- 5:05Speaker 2: man by the name of John Edmunds dreamed of owning
- 5:08Speaker 2: a ranch where he could provide a safe haven for animals.
- 5:12Speaker 2: Now his love for canines and horses alike was boundless,
- 5:15Speaker 2: and in nineteen ninety five, alongside his wife Joyce Edmunds,
- 5:18Speaker 2: he made the vision a reality by purchasing a ranch,
- 5:22Speaker 2: a sixteen hundred acre ranch. The couple aspired to create
- 5:26Speaker 2: a serene life in the countryside running their animal rescue initiative,
- 5:31Speaker 2: which they named Hopeful hoofs.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Oh Man, that's a dream for me. I would love
- 5:36Speaker 3: to have a little dog rescue of sorts.
- 5:39Speaker 2: If you had a dog rescue, I guarantee you would
- 5:41Speaker 2: probably be just husky rescue.
- 5:43Speaker 3: Well, because I probably would just end up keeping all them,
- 5:46Speaker 3: so probably it would have to be very niche, so
- 5:49Speaker 3: that we didn't have a million in one dogs.
- 5:51Speaker 2: Yeah, most likely. Now I do want to I digress
- 5:54Speaker 2: a little bit here, But there is a husky rescue
- 5:56Speaker 2: I fall on Instagram and I love it, And that
- 5:58Speaker 2: is one hundred percent something you would do.
- 6:00Speaker 3: Oh, one hundred percent. I need to know the Yeah, I'll.
- 6:03Speaker 2: Hook you up after this. But their ranch is located
- 6:06Speaker 2: in Arizona in the United States, and John was previously
- 6:09Speaker 2: a psychiatric therapist. He shifted to the ranch life full
- 6:12Speaker 2: time when they purchased the property. He was determined to
- 6:15Speaker 2: nurture this project, and Joyce, on the other hand, worked
- 6:17Speaker 2: as an FBI agent. She was based in Phoenix, juggling
- 6:22Speaker 2: her demanding job while supporting the shared dream. I mean,
- 6:26Speaker 2: it was primarily John's dream. She didn't necessarily want to
- 6:29Speaker 2: like do the ranching, but she understood, like, hey, caring
- 6:31Speaker 2: for an animals and doing this rescue and rehabilitation will
- 6:33Speaker 2: be amazing. So it was kind of a shared dream,
- 6:35Speaker 2: but definitely heavier ended to be John's dream than hers.
- 6:39Speaker 2: They had quite the job, so wow, oh they did,
- 6:42Speaker 2: which I do want to clarify and point this out
- 6:44Speaker 2: right now since we're on the topic. They're definitely what's
- 6:49Speaker 2: the best way. They're credible people, credible individuals with good jobs,
- 6:54Speaker 2: good education, that sort of thing.
- 6:56Speaker 3: Yeah, probably like a good network too, or like resources
- 7:00Speaker 3: or whatever you want to say.
- 7:01Speaker 2: Yeah, exactly, So keep that in mind when we're talking
- 7:03Speaker 2: about this story here today. Now. The rescue flourished under
- 7:06Speaker 2: their care and eventually housed eight rescued rottweilers and a
- 7:09Speaker 2: herd of nearly two dozen horses. Now this was only
- 7:13Speaker 2: the beginning, right, but the ranch became a place of refuge,
- 7:16Speaker 2: not just for the animals that they cared for, but
- 7:19Speaker 2: also for visitors in need of emotional and therapeutic support
- 7:22Speaker 2: as well, providing sessions for young people with disabilities or
- 7:25Speaker 2: mental health challenges. And for a time, life seemed perfect
- 7:30Speaker 2: on this ranch. However, that sense of peace was unfortunately fleeting.
- 7:36Speaker 2: So when John and Joyce first arrived at Start and
- 7:39Speaker 2: Stardust Ranch, they just purchased the property, right, They're just
- 7:42Speaker 2: moving in, They just got the keys. They were met
- 7:45Speaker 2: with an unsettling surprise. The previous owner had left nearly
- 7:48Speaker 2: all of their belongings behind in the home, as if
- 7:51Speaker 2: they had just up and abruptly left for whatever reason.
- 7:54Speaker 3: Holy shit, Okay, yeah.
- 7:56Speaker 2: John was quite puzzled and assumed it was simply an oversight.
- 7:59Speaker 2: You know, maybe they got the keys earlier than the
- 8:01Speaker 2: other people expected it, get to move out just yet, whatever,
- 8:03Speaker 2: So he reached out to his realtorf for some clarification.
- 8:06Speaker 2: The response he got back was a bit vague at first,
- 8:09Speaker 2: but after some persuasion, the realtor managed to contact the
- 8:11Speaker 2: former owners of the property, who agreed to return and
- 8:14Speaker 2: gather up their belongings. Okay, So, wanting to avoid confrontation,
- 8:18Speaker 2: John left to go to town to grab lunch. He
- 8:22Speaker 2: basically gave the former resident space to come back, get
- 8:25Speaker 2: their things and move on, right.
- 8:27Speaker 3: Yeah, that sounds really nice exactly.
- 8:29Speaker 2: So Joyce at the time was at work in Phoenix,
- 8:32Speaker 2: you know, doing her daily nine to five, so it
- 8:34Speaker 2: was just John. He was alone that day, so he
- 8:36Speaker 2: went to town. After about three hours of being away
- 8:38Speaker 2: from the home and you know whatever, he returned expecting
- 8:41Speaker 2: to see the house cleared out, but instead he was
- 8:44Speaker 2: met with a very bizarre and infuriating site. Everything that
- 8:49Speaker 2: once cluttered the new home that they just purchased was
- 8:52Speaker 2: now instead tossed into the swimming pool outsides, which included
- 8:56Speaker 2: heavy appliances.
- 8:57Speaker 3: What the actual shit I would.
- 8:59Speaker 2: Be frick living exactly. John was pissed. He was both
- 9:02Speaker 2: confused and extremely frustrated and pissed.
- 9:05Speaker 3: Well yeah, like he was being nice.
- 9:07Speaker 2: Right, So he immediately called the realator back, being like
- 9:10Speaker 2: he was. It's not the realtor's fault, but he was.
- 9:13Speaker 2: He was pissed, right, Yeah. The realtor was was shocked
- 9:15Speaker 2: as well, and honestly, he didn't believe John at first,
- 9:17Speaker 2: so he made a trip to the property, took a
- 9:20Speaker 2: look at the scene firsthand, and he's like, yeah, this
- 9:22Speaker 2: is unacceptable. So he made some more phone calls, and
- 9:25Speaker 2: the previous owners accused John of dumping their possessions in
- 9:29Speaker 2: the pool out of spite. They alleged when they arrived
- 9:33Speaker 2: everything was already tossed in the pool and ruined, so
- 9:37Speaker 2: they were now refusing to return and retrieve the ruined
- 9:40Speaker 2: items out of the pool.
- 9:42Speaker 3: Okay, that is just like mind boggling.
- 9:45Speaker 2: Yeah, John was baffled. He denied the claims that he
- 9:49Speaker 2: did this to their property, and he asked for assistance
- 9:51Speaker 2: in resolving the issues, like maybe we can just get
- 9:53Speaker 2: it out together, let's just figure this out. But the
- 9:55Speaker 2: family refused. They cut off contact and were never heard
- 9:58Speaker 2: from again.
- 10:00Speaker 3: Huh. So then he just had to deal with all
- 10:02Speaker 3: the shit in the pool.
- 10:03Speaker 2: Yeah, it took him a weekend, but he managed to
- 10:05Speaker 2: clear throw out the pool by himself. Oh yeah, he's
- 10:08Speaker 2: basically clearing out the remnants of another family's life just
- 10:11Speaker 2: strewn on his own property.
- 10:12Speaker 3: Which would not be easy. There, Like, heavy shit in
- 10:15Speaker 3: a pool like that, I don't like, how would you
- 10:17Speaker 3: even get that out.
- 10:18Speaker 2: Well, and I'm not certain if the pool was filled
- 10:20Speaker 2: with water or if it was an empty pool. Okay,
- 10:22Speaker 2: I'm assuming that there was water in the pool, because
- 10:26Speaker 2: i mean, hey, ruined property and stuff, right, So now
- 10:28Speaker 2: not only are you removing heavy things from a hollowed
- 10:31Speaker 2: out pool, but you also have to drain your pool,
- 10:34Speaker 2: care for your pool, and you have water saturated objects
- 10:36Speaker 2: that are much heavier and fall apart well.
- 10:39Speaker 3: Yeah and like, and you have to lift them out
- 10:41Speaker 3: of the goddamn pool exactly.
- 10:43Speaker 2: So he would have burned some calories that day there.
- 10:45Speaker 3: For shit, he definitely deserves pizza, I think that, No.
- 10:49Speaker 2: Kidding, I'm not sure if I'm going to earn it,
- 10:51Speaker 2: but I'm still gonna eat it now at last, So
- 10:54Speaker 2: John managed to get the job done and with the
- 10:56Speaker 2: mesk on, the Edmunds said settled into their new home,
- 10:59Speaker 2: unaware of this strange encounters that would only be the
- 11:02Speaker 2: beginning and would only escalate from there. So on Monday morning,
- 11:07Speaker 2: John found himself in the kitchen, still sorting through boxes
- 11:10Speaker 2: and organizing their new home and new life. Midway through
- 11:13Speaker 2: his task, he glanced out the window and he noticed
- 11:16Speaker 2: a man approaching down the driveway of their home. The
- 11:19Speaker 2: man's appearance caught John's attention immediately. He was weathered and
- 11:24Speaker 2: rough looking, with the look of someone who might have
- 11:26Speaker 2: once served in the military. So I'm assuming he's wearing
- 11:28Speaker 2: some like maybe military barb or something. Right, and in
- 11:32Speaker 2: one hand the man held a machete.
- 11:34Speaker 3: Oh gosh, I would just be terrified.
- 11:37Speaker 2: Yeah, he was well within the boundaries of their property
- 11:39Speaker 2: as he was making his way down the driveway towards
- 11:42Speaker 2: the house. Shit, so John immediately felt a need to
- 11:45Speaker 2: protect himself, his property, and his wife. Yeah, and though
- 11:48Speaker 2: I don't know exactly what he used, he had a
- 11:52Speaker 2: gun and I'm assuming it was a pistol of some sort,
- 11:54Speaker 2: and John stepped outside, prepared for whatever might come. Now,
- 11:57Speaker 2: he did keep his defense discrete, trying to avoid escalating
- 12:00Speaker 2: the situations, the most likely tucking it in the pocket
- 12:03Speaker 2: or something.
- 12:03Speaker 3: So didn't just run out of the host guns a.
- 12:05Speaker 2: Blazon, definitely not so. As he moved closer, he saw
- 12:08Speaker 2: the man was in worse shape than he initially thought.
- 12:11Speaker 2: He was apparently reportedly bare chested, sun scorched, and very disheveled,
- 12:15Speaker 2: looking as if though he had spent years exposed to
- 12:18Speaker 2: the elements. Still, John didn't judge a book by its cover.
- 12:21Speaker 2: He greeted him politely, saying, good afternoon, can help you
- 12:24Speaker 2: with something now. The stranger's lips twisted in a strange
- 12:28Speaker 2: grin and he responded with what are you doing here?
- 12:32Speaker 2: John explained that he and his wife, Joyce had just
- 12:34Speaker 2: purchased and moved into the property, and we're the new owners.
- 12:37Speaker 2: And the man's expression changed only slightly as he spoke
- 12:40Speaker 2: and referred to the names of the previous owners, showing
- 12:42Speaker 2: that he knew them by name, and asserted that he
- 12:45Speaker 2: watched over the property. Okay, so John was confused for
- 12:50Speaker 2: a second, you know. He reiterated, well, they're gone now
- 12:54Speaker 2: this place belongs to me. And the man's focus shifted
- 12:57Speaker 2: as he pointed towards the back, towards the back the property,
- 13:01Speaker 2: and he said, that's where I stay. And he pointed
- 13:05Speaker 2: to a room on like one of the barns. And
- 13:08Speaker 2: this was now where John's like storing saddles, and it
- 13:11Speaker 2: was his tack room for the horses. And I guess
- 13:13Speaker 2: that's where the man's saying he usually stayed there.
- 13:15Speaker 3: Okay, that was like his house kind of thing.
- 13:18Speaker 2: Yeah, John's unease grew. He made it clear that no
- 13:21Speaker 2: one else was permitted to live on the property and
- 13:23Speaker 2: firmly asked the man to leave. He's basically like, okay,
- 13:26Speaker 2: well you may may have lived there, but we don't
- 13:29Speaker 2: need any help. You know what, Like, you don't live
- 13:31Speaker 2: there anymore. We own the property, right, fair enough? Yeah,
- 13:35Speaker 2: So the stranger he locked eyes with John and his
- 13:39Speaker 2: tone darkened immediately. He wasn't aggressive, he wasn't challenging John,
- 13:45Speaker 2: but he just simply said, you'll wish I was here.
- 13:49Speaker 2: And he's like, you're going to be sorry.
- 13:51Speaker 3: Oh my gosh. I feel like John is probably like,
- 13:54Speaker 3: what the shit did I just purchase?
- 13:56Speaker 2: Oh?
- 13:56Speaker 3: Yeah, right, buyer's remorse for sure.
- 13:59Speaker 2: Well, John was deaf taken aback at least by this statement.
- 14:01Speaker 2: He's like, well, what do you mean by that? Yeah,
- 14:04Speaker 2: and the man said, quote, there are monsters here and
- 14:08Speaker 2: I get rid of them.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Well, oh no, okay.
- 14:14Speaker 2: That's what this disheveled man with a machete in his
- 14:16Speaker 2: hand just said. John thought this man must be unstable,
- 14:21Speaker 2: or he may be under the influence or something. Either way,
- 14:24Speaker 2: he had to leave, and the the man didn't. He
- 14:27Speaker 2: didn't resist or anything after that, He just simply watched
- 14:30Speaker 2: as the man finally turned and walked back down the driveway.
- 14:35Speaker 2: It kind of crossed John's mind that the previous owners
- 14:38Speaker 2: might have allowed this man to stay, potentially out of
- 14:40Speaker 2: fear of him, you know what he may be capable of,
- 14:42Speaker 2: or possibly even pity. You know, maybe this deranged guy,
- 14:46Speaker 2: this local guy, and you know what, we're giving him
- 14:49Speaker 2: a place to stay or purpose. Yeah, watch over and
- 14:51Speaker 2: take care of the monsters, you know who knows?
- 14:54Speaker 3: Right, Okay, so he got yeah, he was able to
- 14:56Speaker 3: kind of like make up a story about this in
- 14:57Speaker 3: this yeah.
- 14:58Speaker 2: Well, and John sitting here thinking, he's like, well, whatever
- 15:00Speaker 2: the situation, it's still unsettling. We can't have a ranged person,
- 15:05Speaker 2: or we can't have someone staying in a property that
- 15:08Speaker 2: we don't know. We can't do this. Well yeah, but
- 15:11Speaker 2: the day that that man walked off the property, he
- 15:14Speaker 2: never bothered John again. He never returned, but his words
- 15:18Speaker 2: would stick in John's mind because strange events at Stardus
- 15:21Speaker 2: Ranch were only escalating from.
- 15:24Speaker 3: Here, and his words were basically like that monsters live here.
- 15:29Speaker 2: Right, yeah, yeah, yeah, He's like, I take care of
- 15:31Speaker 2: the property. There are monsters that live here and I
- 15:34Speaker 2: take care of them, I kill them.
- 15:36Speaker 3: That is unsettling.
- 15:37Speaker 2: So how do you feel after this, because that's basically
- 15:39Speaker 2: the introduction to this story.
- 15:43Speaker 3: I mean I was thinking, like I said, buyer's remorse.
- 15:47Speaker 3: He may have some of that.
- 15:49Speaker 2: Well, if you think he has buyer's remorse, just buckle
- 15:51Speaker 2: up here, Just buckle up, because if he doesn't have
- 15:55Speaker 2: it yet, he will.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Now.
- 15:58Speaker 2: Long after settling into the new life life at the ranch,
- 16:00Speaker 2: John and Joyce decided to enjoy an evening out in Phoenix,
- 16:03Speaker 2: treating themselves to a movie at a local theater. The
- 16:06Speaker 2: drive home under the starlet sky felt very peaceful. You know,
- 16:09Speaker 2: this is their life away from it, all right, and
- 16:12Speaker 2: they were just at the city. They were enjoying a
- 16:14Speaker 2: city night life. But now they get to drive back
- 16:17Speaker 2: to peace, to quiet, and the stars in the sky
- 16:20Speaker 2: just were the cherry on top.
- 16:22Speaker 3: Oh yeah, that sounds lovely.
- 16:24Speaker 2: But then as they opponent approached their property, that's when
- 16:27Speaker 2: they both spotted a cluster of strange glowing orbs in
- 16:30Speaker 2: the sky on the south end of the property. The
- 16:33Speaker 2: lights danced in erratic patterns, appearing to vanish, as though
- 16:36Speaker 2: they were performing some sort of coordinated routine, almost, and
- 16:40Speaker 2: they noted that the orbs were a vivid orange and
- 16:42Speaker 2: moved with speeds far greater than any craft. That they
- 16:45Speaker 2: knew something that planes or aircrafts or helicopters could not
- 16:49Speaker 2: perform with our technology today. They did consider a nearby
- 16:53Speaker 2: air force base as potential explanations. But these nights or
- 16:57Speaker 2: these lights were doing things unexplained, and they were noiseless,
- 17:01Speaker 2: unlike any conventional planes. They could have come to mind
- 17:05Speaker 2: right three months into their stay at the ranch, Joyce
- 17:09Speaker 2: found herself increasingly apprehensive about their decision to move and
- 17:13Speaker 2: to purchase his place, a feeling compounded by John's unusual behavior.
- 17:19Speaker 2: He was once very even tempered, but now he seemed
- 17:22Speaker 2: perpetually on edge, often complaining about items mysteriously going missing
- 17:27Speaker 2: or inexplicably turning up in wrong places. At first, Joyce
- 17:31Speaker 2: dismissed all these concerns, attributing them to just stress of
- 17:34Speaker 2: the move or managing the now sprawling property, because this
- 17:37Speaker 2: is a new endeavor, right, There's a lot going on,
- 17:40Speaker 2: not only you know, with with their lives, but mental
- 17:43Speaker 2: and physical right well, and so much learning too, I imagine.
- 17:48Speaker 2: But his frustrations only grew as he observed strange occurrences
- 17:51Speaker 2: when Joyce was at work. John's complaints soon included tales
- 17:56Speaker 2: of electrical devices malfunctioning without cause, flickering on and off
- 18:00Speaker 2: without any sort of warning whatsoever. The situation just was strange.
- 18:04Speaker 2: It puzzled him, and especially after electrical tests were done.
- 18:07Speaker 2: They had an electricians show up and actually inspect everything,
- 18:11Speaker 2: and test showed everything to be in perfect working order. Yeah. Now,
- 18:16Speaker 2: one evening, Joyce herself even witnessed this phenomena firsthand. Just
- 18:21Speaker 2: as they were preparing to sleep, the television abruptly turned on,
- 18:24Speaker 2: soon followed by the radio as well. This was not
- 18:27Speaker 2: a one time event, though, and even the animals in
- 18:30Speaker 2: the ranch began to show signs of anxiety. The dogs
- 18:33Speaker 2: barked incessantly, and the horses appeared very jumpy, with their
- 18:36Speaker 2: ears pinned back in agitation. As things continued, John and
- 18:40Speaker 2: Joyce began to question whether they might be there might
- 18:43Speaker 2: be a rational explanation out there for all of this.
- 18:46Speaker 2: They thought, maybe, you know what, carbon monoxide poisoning might
- 18:49Speaker 2: be responsible for odd experiences or hallucinations. Right, Maybe they're
- 18:54Speaker 2: seeing things and there's a legitimate answer for why they're
- 18:56Speaker 2: seeing things.
- 18:57Speaker 3: Okay, so they're like stepping back in like pretty logical
- 19:01Speaker 3: about this really.
- 19:03Speaker 2: Which brings us back to their very you know, respectable
- 19:06Speaker 2: people they have. They have titles that like not only
- 19:09Speaker 2: are they, you know, sound of mind, but they're they're
- 19:12Speaker 2: educated individuals. Right. Yeah, so they they did their due
- 19:16Speaker 2: diligence in actually, like you say, stepping back and thinking
- 19:19Speaker 2: about it logically. But after comprehensive safety checks, including inspection
- 19:24Speaker 2: of gas lines, these suspicions were put to rest because
- 19:29Speaker 2: everything came back clear. John had also arranged for a
- 19:33Speaker 2: local phone company to come and install a landline at
- 19:35Speaker 2: one point, but even this simple mundane thing, you know,
- 19:38Speaker 2: a scheduling an appointment for someone to come out, plug
- 19:41Speaker 2: in a phone and run some wire, it became complicated
- 19:45Speaker 2: and strange. The worker failed up to show twice despite
- 19:49Speaker 2: confirming appointments, and when they finally arrived in the third attempt,
- 19:53Speaker 2: John noticed the technicians seemed very hesitant to leave the truck.
- 19:57Speaker 2: The Edmunds rottweilers barked furiously from in the home when
- 20:01Speaker 2: a stranger arrived from the driveway, right, but John reassured
- 20:03Speaker 2: the worker they were secured. They're they're all good right,
- 20:06Speaker 2: don't worry about them, they're locked up.
- 20:08Speaker 3: Yeah, dogs spark exactly.
- 20:11Speaker 2: The man, though, with an uneasy expression, muttered, it's not
- 20:15Speaker 2: the dogs I'm worried about.
- 20:16Speaker 3: Oh yeah, okay, So he had some history here exactly,
- 20:21Speaker 3: perhaps yeah.
- 20:22Speaker 2: Well, John right away is like what do you mean?
- 20:24Speaker 2: And he asked, you know, kind of like this question,
- 20:26Speaker 2: half expecting an explanation. But the technician's response or the
- 20:31Speaker 2: explanation that he did give, was sobering for John, and
- 20:34Speaker 2: he's like, haven't you heard about your house? Yeah? John
- 20:40Speaker 2: was like, what do you mean. He's like, it's a big,
- 20:43Speaker 2: beautiful house out in the middle of nowhere, Like, it's
- 20:45Speaker 2: gorgeous property. What are you talking about. The man didn't laugh, though,
- 20:49Speaker 2: despite John trying to laugh it off and be like
- 20:51Speaker 2: it's a great place.
- 20:51Speaker 3: Uh huh.
- 20:53Speaker 2: With a grave tone, he told him about the original owner,
- 20:57Speaker 2: who had bought the land as a grand gesture for
- 21:00Speaker 2: his wife. Originally, as the story went, she had refused
- 21:04Speaker 2: to live there, claiming there was a dark presence of sorts,
- 21:07Speaker 2: a dark energy or an oppressive presence within its walls.
- 21:13Speaker 2: More chilling. Later on, the residents were said to have
- 21:15Speaker 2: experienced their own tragedy as their son passed away under
- 21:18Speaker 2: mysterious circumstances on the property, and that's when the grief
- 21:23Speaker 2: stricken parents were unable to stay any longer and sold
- 21:26Speaker 2: the property, which is when it changed hands and John
- 21:30Speaker 2: and his wife became the new owners.
- 21:32Speaker 3: Okay, So the people that John believed like through all
- 21:36Speaker 3: their shit in the pool was them, Yes, Okay.
- 21:40Speaker 2: It was then that John finally began to understand just
- 21:42Speaker 2: how deep the shadows at Stardust Ranch trupan. These experiences
- 21:48Speaker 2: that they were, you know, just starting to experience didn't
- 21:54Speaker 2: seem to just be for them. If the previous owners
- 21:56Speaker 2: saying that there's something dark and oppressive or energies whatever
- 22:00Speaker 2: and refused to live in its walls, that means it's
- 22:03Speaker 2: not just you.
- 22:04Speaker 3: Yeah, well that's so scary and so sad too, because
- 22:08Speaker 3: I mean, like, you put money into this, right, like.
- 22:10Speaker 2: One hundred percent. Yeah, not only is it money, it's energy. Dream,
- 22:14Speaker 2: it's a dreams. There's so much mental things that go
- 22:18Speaker 2: along with trying to live out a dream and that
- 22:20Speaker 2: dream being crushed.
- 22:22Speaker 3: Yeah, that's probably the worst of it really.
- 22:25Speaker 2: Now. One morning, as John Edmonds followed his usual routine
- 22:28Speaker 2: of feeding eight Rottweilers. He noticed something. One of the
- 22:32Speaker 2: dogs was missing. There was only seven dogs there. The
- 22:36Speaker 2: animals were always secured overnight, but for some reason, one
- 22:39Speaker 2: was gone. John searched the property, scouring every corner until
- 22:43Speaker 2: he stumbled upon a site that sent chills down his spine.
- 22:46Speaker 3: No no, no, no.
- 22:48Speaker 2: Please snow the remains of the missing dog, frick. What
- 22:52Speaker 2: he saw was bizarre and he couldn't make sense of it.
- 22:57Speaker 2: The body of the dog appeared to be crushed, almost
- 23:00Speaker 2: as if flattened by a steam roller or something, but
- 23:04Speaker 2: there were no signs of what could have done this
- 23:06Speaker 2: to the dog anywhere. John stood there, stunned over the
- 23:09Speaker 2: dog's remains, unable to process the scene, and he also
- 23:12Speaker 2: noticed that the ground surrounding the dog was dry and
- 23:16Speaker 2: eerily free of any bodily fluids from the animal.
- 23:19Speaker 3: Oh okay, and yeah, if you're crushing, you know, a
- 23:23Speaker 3: living thing, it's.
- 23:25Speaker 2: Probably going to be a kin to a tube of toothpaste.
- 23:27Speaker 3: Oh yeah, then seriously, you just went there.
- 23:31Speaker 2: I'm sorry, but that means like things spill out. You
- 23:34Speaker 2: don't know, I know, but there was nothing spilled out.
- 23:37Speaker 2: Even more unsettling was the fact that none of the
- 23:40Speaker 2: other dogs had barked during the night, a behavior John
- 23:42Speaker 2: was sure would have alerted them if there was a disturbance.
- 23:44Speaker 2: M He had questions in his mind. He's like, how
- 23:48Speaker 2: did the dog get out? Maybe he overlooked the dog
- 23:50Speaker 2: when he was like putting them all away for the night.
- 23:52Speaker 2: Maybe he only put away seven. This one was out.
- 23:55Speaker 2: But the scenario still made no sense. Nothing made sense.
- 23:58Speaker 2: This incident, as John and later recounted, marked a turning
- 24:01Speaker 2: point for him. It felt from there on as if
- 24:05Speaker 2: though something or someone was actively trying to sabotage not
- 24:09Speaker 2: just their peace, but their safety for them and their
- 24:11Speaker 2: animals on the property as well.
- 24:13Speaker 1: Well.
- 24:13Speaker 3: Yeah, and these are like rescued animals, so like fuck off.
- 24:17Speaker 2: Right, as if they haven't had a hard enough Yeah
- 24:19Speaker 2: so far?
- 24:19Speaker 3: Like that just pisses me right off now.
- 24:22Speaker 2: John also started to notice unexplained marks on the bodies
- 24:26Speaker 2: of the horses, almost as if they had been lightly
- 24:29Speaker 2: cut by an extremely sharp object, Yet there was no
- 24:32Speaker 2: signs of intruders or predatory attacks or anything. The mystery
- 24:36Speaker 2: deepened even further when John and Joyce themselves found similar
- 24:40Speaker 2: marks in their own bodies when they woke up in
- 24:42Speaker 2: the morning. With no memory of how they got them.
- 24:45Speaker 2: Around this time, they both began seeing more and more
- 24:48Speaker 2: of these strange luminous orbs in the sky, the same
- 24:52Speaker 2: ones they'd seen on that first month, you know, months
- 24:55Speaker 2: prior that first time when they saw him dancing above
- 24:57Speaker 2: the southern fields. The lights now appeared closer to the ground,
- 25:00Speaker 2: though moving in ways that defied logic. Once again, John
- 25:04Speaker 2: often mistook them for trespassers with flashlights along the property,
- 25:07Speaker 2: and he would head outside to confront them. Yet every
- 25:10Speaker 2: time he did so, the lights would vanish or zoomed
- 25:13Speaker 2: away at impossible speeds, either darting along the ground or
- 25:16Speaker 2: ascending directly into the sky. It's impossible for someone with
- 25:21Speaker 2: a flashlight to those Well.
- 25:22Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 25:24Speaker 2: When John struggled to make sense of it, Joyce's on
- 25:26Speaker 2: ease turned into outright fear. She began urging him to
- 25:29Speaker 2: consider leaving the property, selling it, whatever they had to do,
- 25:33Speaker 2: feeling that whatever was happening at Stardus's ranch was unnatural.
- 25:37Speaker 2: But John he remained solid. He this was their ranch.
- 25:44Speaker 2: He wasn't going to be driven away by lights. He
- 25:46Speaker 2: was determined to hold his ground. So for a long time,
- 25:49Speaker 2: they both chose to keep their experiences to themselves. They
- 25:52Speaker 2: knew that people would think that if they began talking
- 25:54Speaker 2: about this, no one's gonna believe them. They're going to
- 25:57Speaker 2: think they're they're crazy or whatever. Right, But john silence
- 26:01Speaker 2: finally broke when the situation escalated.
- 26:03Speaker 3: Well, I just have to say, too, that's so lonely, hey,
- 26:05Speaker 3: to just be like bottling that all up and having
- 26:08Speaker 3: to keep it all to yourself and stuff.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Right now, the unsettling incidents involving the animals became severe.
- 26:16Speaker 2: John began to find the remains of his horses scattered
- 26:19Speaker 2: across the property. Though these bodies differed from what he
- 26:23Speaker 2: had seen before. They weren't crushed, but their condition was
- 26:26Speaker 2: equally disturbing. Organs like eyes and tongues had been meticulously removed,
- 26:31Speaker 2: and John suspected that internal organs were missing as well.
- 26:36Speaker 2: The precision of these injuries baffled him. There were no
- 26:39Speaker 2: claw marks or signs of predators, only clean, surgical like cuts. O.
- 26:45Speaker 3: Hey, yeah, that's really fucked up.
- 26:48Speaker 2: On more than one occasion, John discovered that a horse
- 26:50Speaker 2: had simply disappeared without a trace. There were no signs
- 26:53Speaker 2: of a struggle, there were no remains left behind, just
- 26:56Speaker 2: an empty stall.
- 26:58Speaker 3: Oh gosh that okay though, no, this is just pissing
- 27:03Speaker 3: me off here.
- 27:04Speaker 2: I think you might need to fill up your glass
- 27:05Speaker 2: of wine a little more.
- 27:06Speaker 3: Oh seriously, is it just gonna keep going here?
- 27:08Speaker 2: Oh? We just getting started?
- 27:10Speaker 3: Oh man, okay.
- 27:13Speaker 2: But we are done with the animals. I'll tell you that.
- 27:15Speaker 3: Okay, okay.
- 27:17Speaker 2: So John search for logical answers continued to take up
- 27:21Speaker 2: his every waking thought, But logic came to an abrupt
- 27:24Speaker 2: end one morning when he walked to the horse paddock
- 27:27Speaker 2: and noticed something truly disturbing. Several of the heavy metal
- 27:31Speaker 2: fence panels that lined around the property, each weighing around
- 27:34Speaker 2: one hundred pounds, were bent as if they were made
- 27:38Speaker 2: of soft wire. He stood there, staring at the twisted
- 27:42Speaker 2: metal and struggled to comprehend what could have caused this
- 27:45Speaker 2: metal to bend like this. If it were machinery, he
- 27:48Speaker 2: would have seen it, or there would be tracks left behind,
- 27:50Speaker 2: but there were none. None of his animals could have
- 27:53Speaker 2: done it. Even the local livestock board was at a loss.
- 27:56Speaker 2: Because he finally approached someone and spoke of some of this,
- 28:00Speaker 2: they confirmed not only was his horses or anything not
- 28:04Speaker 2: capable of this, but there was no known predator in
- 28:07Speaker 2: the area which could provide this sort of incident to occur.
- 28:13Speaker 3: Can you imagine just waking up every day and being like,
- 28:15Speaker 3: what the fuck's gonna happen today?
- 28:17Speaker 2: Right? I can't imagine, Like that is just horrible. I
- 28:22Speaker 2: mean I do feel like we kind of live like
- 28:24Speaker 2: that a little bit, but it's mostly because, like, you know,
- 28:27Speaker 2: work people that sort of stuff. This is like a
- 28:31Speaker 2: whole new level.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Yeah, I mean it's more like what kind of shit? Yeah,
- 28:35Speaker 3: like what kind of awful shit's gonna happen to You're
- 28:38Speaker 3: just like preparing yourself.
- 28:39Speaker 2: How can my mind be blown? And how can I
- 28:42Speaker 2: be confused as fuck? Today?
- 28:43Speaker 3: Yeah? Yeah, well that.
- 28:45Speaker 2: Also sounds like some jobs I've had before.
- 28:47Speaker 3: Okay, so maybe this is just a normal day in
- 28:49Speaker 3: everyone's life.
- 28:50Speaker 2: Enough, yeah, okay. Now, as the weeks did turn into months,
- 28:54Speaker 2: John began to feel an unsettling presence around his house,
- 28:57Speaker 2: a gnawing paranoia that someone or something was why him
- 29:00Speaker 2: and Joyce. The sensation actually became so oppressive that John
- 29:03Speaker 2: even avoided showering because he was convinced that he was
- 29:06Speaker 2: never truly alone. Holy He once again kept these fears
- 29:11Speaker 2: to himself, though not only from like other people, but
- 29:14Speaker 2: he also kind of hid this from Joyce Little Yeah,
- 29:16Speaker 2: because he didn't want to scare her any more than
- 29:18Speaker 2: she already were right. But it was up for John
- 29:23Speaker 2: to decide, and that's the choice he made. However, he
- 29:27Speaker 2: didn't have every choice. He didn't have every decision, He
- 29:30Speaker 2: didn't have much control because soon the unexplained activity would
- 29:34Speaker 2: take a much darker turn once again. One night, after
- 29:40Speaker 2: Joyce had fallen asleep beside him, John laid awake in bed,
- 29:44Speaker 2: unable to shake that sensation that someone was watching him,
- 29:47Speaker 2: that eyes were on him. He sat up and he
- 29:51Speaker 2: stared around the dimly lit room with that feeling of
- 29:55Speaker 2: being watched. When all of a sudden, his eyes focused
- 29:58Speaker 2: on something the darkness. He saw three shadowy figures gliding
- 30:02Speaker 2: across the walls of the room.
- 30:04Speaker 3: Oh Man.
- 30:06Speaker 2: A wave of dread paralyzed him, rooting him to the
- 30:08Speaker 2: bed for a moment, but summing up the courage, he
- 30:10Speaker 2: managed to reach for a baseball bat that he kept
- 30:12Speaker 2: beside the bed, and just as his fingers wrapped around
- 30:15Speaker 2: the handle, something cold and clay brushed up against his arm.
- 30:20Speaker 2: He managed to wrap his hands around that bat firmly,
- 30:24Speaker 2: and panic surged through him as he gripped it, and
- 30:26Speaker 2: he began to swing at the intruder. His eyes fixed
- 30:29Speaker 2: on the shape in the dim light. It was a
- 30:31Speaker 2: small gray figure with large, bulbous eyes, and the bat
- 30:34Speaker 2: in John's hand struck that figure, and he continued to
- 30:38Speaker 2: swing it repeatedly. After he struck it for the third time,
- 30:42Speaker 2: the figure let out a low hissing sound and vanished
- 30:45Speaker 2: along with the others.
- 30:47Speaker 3: And meanwhile, his wife is just sleep we'll probably awake.
- 30:51Speaker 2: At this point, gasping for breath, John grabbed John, dropped
- 30:57Speaker 2: the bat and shook Joyce awake. Oh geez, yeah, shouting
- 31:01Speaker 2: that he now understood what was terrorizing them and their animals, which,
- 31:06Speaker 2: of course, as we can all assume, is extraterrestrious. Okay, well, a,
- 31:12Speaker 2: that whole scene is just something out of a fucking nightmare.
- 31:16Speaker 3: Oh my gosh, it makes me get a headache here.
- 31:18Speaker 3: But also the fact that Joyce sleeps that well is
- 31:21Speaker 3: mind blowing to me.
- 31:22Speaker 2: Was she sleeping though? Mm?
- 31:25Speaker 3: They could have had like control over that.
- 31:27Speaker 2: Potentially, hey, potentially we'll touch them here in a little bit. Okay,
- 31:32Speaker 2: So John described the creatures as standing roughly four feet tall,
- 31:36Speaker 2: with elongated limbs and eyes that were dark and bulging.
- 31:40Speaker 2: Although the initial encounter left him shaken, it was far
- 31:43Speaker 2: from the last one he would have. In fact, sightings
- 31:46Speaker 2: of the gray figures would only increase. Both John and
- 31:50Speaker 2: Joyce started seeing them more and more frequently, appearing briefly
- 31:54Speaker 2: at night in their room and even during the day
- 31:56Speaker 2: around the ranch. The unsettling visits forced John On to
- 32:00Speaker 2: arm himself, constantly carrying a weapon with him for protection
- 32:03Speaker 2: wherever he went. He even discharged his weapon for warning
- 32:07Speaker 2: shots and several occasions to scare them off. John was
- 32:12Speaker 2: convinced these beings were responsible for the strange marks on him, Joyce,
- 32:17Speaker 2: and the animals. Now. One night, in a moment of defiance,
- 32:22Speaker 2: he confronted them directly, asking them, why are you here,
- 32:25Speaker 2: Why are you invading our home? Why are you harming us?
- 32:27Speaker 2: He demanded an answer, but silence. There was nothing that
- 32:31Speaker 2: came back from them.
- 32:33Speaker 3: This man is I almost feel like he's just like
- 32:36Speaker 3: a legend, because I would be like just long gone
- 32:40Speaker 3: at this point.
- 32:40Speaker 2: I feel like fair enough, I would have probably ran.
- 32:44Speaker 3: And now he's just actually like confronting them and asking
- 32:47Speaker 3: them what the shit they're doing?
- 32:48Speaker 2: Right?
- 32:49Speaker 3: Wow, Okay, I.
- 32:50Speaker 2: Bet you're right about now he's understanding that guy with
- 32:52Speaker 2: the machete and saying there's moms.
- 32:55Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:57Speaker 2: So the visits were relentless and invasive. They occurred up
- 33:01Speaker 2: to three times a week, always with beings appearing in
- 33:05Speaker 2: a group of three. Feeling that the baseball bat that
- 33:08Speaker 2: he held beside his bed was insufficient at this point,
- 33:10Speaker 2: John decided to replace it with a blade, a sword instead.
- 33:15Speaker 2: This is what he used to protect their home at night,
- 33:18Speaker 2: also with his I'm assuming pistol by his.
- 33:20Speaker 3: Side man and also never ever getting a wink asleep again.
- 33:24Speaker 2: Exactly now one evening as dah as dusk fell across
- 33:29Speaker 2: the ranch, John found himself heading to the kitchen when
- 33:32Speaker 2: an unsettling scene unfolded. He saw three small gray figures
- 33:36Speaker 2: moving inside the house. His Rottwilers had sent them two
- 33:39Speaker 2: and their fierce barking began, and this whole chaotic moment unraveled.
- 33:46Speaker 2: John ran and grabbed the sword and he struck one
- 33:49Speaker 2: of these beings. As before, when John struck the being,
- 33:53Speaker 2: it disappeared. However, now with it being a blade that
- 33:57Speaker 2: he held in his hand, he the flesh of this being,
- 34:02Speaker 2: and there were remnants that did not vanish that stayed
- 34:06Speaker 2: on the blade. Oh boy, there was a piece of
- 34:10Speaker 2: tissue from its flesh stuck to the tip. After this
- 34:15Speaker 2: encounter finished, John was unsure what to do, but he
- 34:19Speaker 2: did take this strange piece of tissue and placed it
- 34:21Speaker 2: in a glass jar and stored it in the freezer. Now,
- 34:26Speaker 2: at the time, like he didn't know what to do
- 34:27Speaker 2: with it.
- 34:27Speaker 3: Well, I know, it's just like so funny when you
- 34:29Speaker 3: don't do with anything, you just put.
- 34:30Speaker 2: It in your freezer. Yeah, But at the time John
- 34:33Speaker 2: was working as a producer for a radio station as
- 34:36Speaker 2: well as doing the ranch stuff right, And through this
- 34:40Speaker 2: he was introduced, like through a friend of a friend
- 34:42Speaker 2: of a friend, kind of situation, to a biophysicist by
- 34:46Speaker 2: the name of doctor Len Good. Though initially skeptical, doctor
- 34:51Speaker 2: Good expressed interest and agreed to analyze this tissue sample
- 34:55Speaker 2: that John had collected. So John shipped the tissue sample
- 34:59Speaker 2: to him. Three months doctor could. Doctor Good called back
- 35:04Speaker 2: with an electrifying tone in his voice, and he said, quote,
- 35:09Speaker 2: you have the smoking gun. This is undeniable evidence of
- 35:14Speaker 2: non human visitation.
- 35:18Speaker 3: Really, yes, holy shit.
- 35:22Speaker 2: He explained, that the sample contained segmented fibers reminiscent of
- 35:26Speaker 2: plant structures, but unlike anything he's seen in blood. It was,
- 35:31Speaker 2: according to him, composed almost entirely of hemoglobin and an
- 35:35Speaker 2: anomaly that defied explanation. It was not of this fucking
- 35:39Speaker 2: world or anything we know to be on this planet.
- 35:43Speaker 3: Huh wow.
- 35:46Speaker 2: John was shocked. Well, yeah, this was it. He and
- 35:49Speaker 2: his wife had scientifically backed evidence to prove that what
- 35:53Speaker 2: was happening at their ranch was real.
- 35:55Speaker 1: M h.
- 35:56Speaker 2: But things took a turn when, all of a sudden
- 36:00Speaker 2: in the following days, doctor Good abruptly ceased all contact
- 36:04Speaker 2: with John. Any attempts John made to reach out to
- 36:09Speaker 2: him went unanswered, and later John learned that doctor Good
- 36:13Speaker 2: passed away on September twenty eighth, twenty thirteen, at the
- 36:16Speaker 2: age of eighty eight, reportedly from a head injury after
- 36:19Speaker 2: a fall in his lab. Doctor Good's wife also passed
- 36:24Speaker 2: away a few weeks later, and the sample that he
- 36:27Speaker 2: sent to doctor Good was never seen again.
- 36:33Speaker 3: No, yes, oh, holy crap.
- 36:39Speaker 2: Yes, doctor Good is a real person. Yes, doctor Good is.
- 36:43Speaker 2: There's a paper trail of their connection, their conversation. There
- 36:48Speaker 2: is you know, like he was a person that died
- 36:51Speaker 2: from a head injury in his lab.
- 36:55Speaker 3: Huh okay, I don't even know what the hell to say.
- 37:01Speaker 2: That is just fucking wha.
- 37:04Speaker 3: Yeah, that's beyond fucked that.
- 37:07Speaker 2: When I heard that, I honestly I was like you,
- 37:10Speaker 2: I was speechless. I didn't know what to say or
- 37:12Speaker 2: what to think. You have the smoking gun. This is
- 37:16Speaker 2: the what was the quote? Let me scroll back and
- 37:19Speaker 2: see you have the smoking gun. This is undeniable evidence
- 37:25Speaker 2: of non human visitation.
- 37:28Speaker 3: Yeah, and then just basically it disappears and they're dead.
- 37:34Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 37:36Speaker 3: Oh gosh, that makes you just feel a little bit
- 37:39Speaker 3: sick too, right really now.
- 37:43Speaker 2: Not long after, John and his friend were outside in
- 37:45Speaker 2: the ranch when a black suv pulled up. Two men
- 37:50Speaker 2: dressed in black suits.
- 37:51Speaker 3: The men in black there.
- 37:53Speaker 2: You go, emerged and walked up to the seven foot
- 37:56Speaker 2: tall locked gate at the end of the driveway without pausing.
- 37:59Speaker 2: They were reportedly appeared to walk straight through the fucking gate.
- 38:06Speaker 3: What the actual shit. I didn't think the men in
- 38:08Speaker 3: black thing was legit.
- 38:10Speaker 2: There's a lot of reported cases the men in black.
- 38:13Speaker 3: Gosh, I'm done.
- 38:15Speaker 2: So John and his friend were obviously fucking terrified. Oh man,
- 38:19Speaker 2: and they retreated, but the men managed to approach and
- 38:23Speaker 2: they got within ten feet and John said they looked weird, tall, pale,
- 38:28Speaker 2: and he demanded to see their identification, accusing them of
- 38:32Speaker 2: trespassing on his property. They ignored him, and they told
- 38:35Speaker 2: John to stop talking about the craft he had seen
- 38:38Speaker 2: on his property. John once again demanded for id The men, unfazed,
- 38:44Speaker 2: ignored it and turned and walked back again through the
- 38:48Speaker 2: gate before driving off. Now, the craft John had seen
- 38:54Speaker 2: and often spoke about, was said to be massive, around
- 38:57Speaker 2: one hundred feet in diameter, and frequently hoped over the ranch.
- 39:02Speaker 2: This encounter, coupled with all the escalating incidents, made John
- 39:05Speaker 2: fear for his safety, prompting him to share his story publicly. Finally,
- 39:10Speaker 2: so we will talk about that craft in an incident,
- 39:13Speaker 2: a specific incident here in a bit.
- 39:15Speaker 3: But I cannot, you know, I'm just sitting here just
- 39:18Speaker 3: like amaze that they're they're still there. Right wow.
- 39:22Speaker 2: So John appeared on various radio shows, including Coast to
- 39:25Speaker 2: Coast AM, hoping that being vocal would protect him if
- 39:28Speaker 2: anything were to happen to him. Right okay, yeah, basically
- 39:31Speaker 2: saying like go ahead and off me or whatever, like
- 39:34Speaker 2: it's going to be a public thing because of what
- 39:36Speaker 2: I'm announcing.
- 39:36Speaker 3: Now, right.
- 39:38Speaker 2: So Joyce, however, she chose to stay out of the
- 39:41Speaker 2: spotlight and declined any interview requests, so it was just
- 39:44Speaker 2: John who was the one who was coming forward. Throughout
- 39:47Speaker 2: their time at Startus Ranch, the Edmunds reported numerous incidents
- 39:51Speaker 2: of paralysis, during which they felt trapped, unable to move
- 39:54Speaker 2: or call for help. Joyce experienced these episodes more frequently
- 39:58Speaker 2: than John, but he felt that he had marked or
- 40:01Speaker 2: so he felt that she had been marked by these entities.
- 40:03Speaker 2: He was as well, but her maybe a little more
- 40:05Speaker 2: right so, John described sudden, excruciating pain and a crushing
- 40:10Speaker 2: sensation followed by a mysterious indentation on his left leg.
- 40:15Speaker 2: Both he and Joyce would often wake up with unexplained
- 40:17Speaker 2: puncture marks and bruises on their inner thighs, abdomens, and chest.
- 40:21Speaker 2: They also reported triangular impressions in their skin and describe
- 40:24Speaker 2: their symptoms as akin to radiation exposure, their skin peeling
- 40:28Speaker 2: and tingling, as if though affected by an unseen force.
- 40:32Speaker 2: According to John, Joyce repeatedly levitated on multiple occasions in
- 40:36Speaker 2: the middle of the night. The first time it happened.
- 40:39Speaker 2: John was shocked to find her hovering in the air,
- 40:42Speaker 2: still fast asleep. He tried calling out to her to
- 40:45Speaker 2: wake up, but she remained deep in asleep as suspended
- 40:48Speaker 2: above the bed. Only when he reached out and grabbed
- 40:51Speaker 2: on to her shoulder and shouted, did she finally open
- 40:54Speaker 2: her eyes, and she fell abruptly back to the bed
- 40:57Speaker 2: without a word, drifting right back to sleep, and she
- 41:00Speaker 2: had no memory of what transpired. Each time this phenomenon occurred,
- 41:05Speaker 2: Joyce awoke with no recollection of levitating. One night, I'm just.
- 41:14Speaker 3: Sitting here, just like wrecked. I don't even know what
- 41:16Speaker 3: to do.
- 41:16Speaker 2: I've noticed, I've noticed now. One night, John witnessed something
- 41:19Speaker 2: even more unsettling. Joyce levitating as I've already described, and
- 41:23Speaker 2: she began moving towards the wall and then began to
- 41:27Speaker 2: pass through it as if it weren't solid and weren't
- 41:29Speaker 2: even there. Panicking, John tried to grab her ankles in
- 41:33Speaker 2: an attempt to pull her back, but it was to
- 41:36Speaker 2: no avail, and determined to not let her vanish, she
- 41:39Speaker 2: ran around outside the front door and out to take
- 41:42Speaker 2: a look at where she was, and watched helplessly as
- 41:46Speaker 2: she was drawn towards a metallic craft that hovered above
- 41:49Speaker 2: the ground. The object was roughly one hundred feet in diameter,
- 41:52Speaker 2: the same one that we mentioned earlier. It radiated a
- 41:57Speaker 2: bright blueish white light from its unders that seemed to
- 42:00Speaker 2: be what was pulling Joyce towards it. Desperate John took
- 42:04Speaker 2: the weapon that he held very closely, probably within his
- 42:07Speaker 2: pocket as I said earlier, and as a final attempt,
- 42:11Speaker 2: fired at the craft to try and save his wife.
- 42:15Speaker 2: The action seemed to work, as Joyce was released, fell
- 42:18Speaker 2: to the ground and woke up immediately, but this time
- 42:21Speaker 2: she remembered everything. Despite how extraordinary and difficult these accounts
- 42:28Speaker 2: are to believe, the Edmunds have stood by their claims,
- 42:32Speaker 2: never wavering. The unusual activity on the ranch didn't let up.
- 42:37Speaker 2: They reported regular sightings of men in dark suits who
- 42:39Speaker 2: appeared to be monitoring them from a distance as events
- 42:42Speaker 2: continue to unfold on their property.
- 42:44Speaker 3: Kay, whoa, whoa, whoa, this shit just happened where she's
- 42:48Speaker 3: like being almost taken. Yes, and they're still there. Holy shit,
- 42:54Speaker 3: what's gonna make them leave? Uh? I mean I get
- 42:58Speaker 3: that there's so much too lee thing, but.
- 43:00Speaker 2: Geez yeah, so John, unfortunately passed away in February of
- 43:07Speaker 2: twenty twenty two, leaving behind his wife Joyce.
- 43:10Speaker 3: Was it natural or not? Yes, it was okay.
- 43:13Speaker 2: Following his death, the ranch underwent some renovations and was
- 43:16Speaker 2: listed for sale in April of twenty twenty three. As
- 43:21Speaker 2: of now here, still in October of twenty twenty four,
- 43:24Speaker 2: the beautiful sixteen hundred and forty point four six acre
- 43:28Speaker 2: property remains on the market and can be yours if
- 43:32Speaker 2: you want to purchase it for the price of nine
- 43:34Speaker 2: point three million US dollars.
- 43:37Speaker 3: I think that property could be a dollar and I
- 43:40Speaker 3: still would be like, hell no.
- 43:42Speaker 2: Really really why fairly?
- 43:45Speaker 3: Why?
- 43:46Speaker 2: I mean why not?
- 43:47Speaker 3: Well, look at the shit that these these people are
- 43:50Speaker 3: going through living there. Though it's not like it seems
- 43:52Speaker 3: like it doesn't seem like it's an enjoyable life.
- 43:55Speaker 2: Is there any evidence of it? Yeah, that's what I thought.
- 44:01Speaker 2: Many people say that it's you know, it could be
- 44:04Speaker 2: a story that's made up potentially to try and earn publicity, attention, money.
- 44:09Speaker 2: Who knows.
- 44:10Speaker 3: I mean, I know very little about them, but it
- 44:12Speaker 3: doesn't necessarily seem like they're those kind of people.
- 44:15Speaker 2: They don't seem like it. No, but there are three
- 44:17Speaker 2: scenarios here. There is that one that I just mentioned
- 44:20Speaker 2: that they made it up for whatever reason. There's a
- 44:22Speaker 2: scenario where they're not making it up, but it still
- 44:24Speaker 2: doesn't exist. So some people think like sleep paralysis hallucinations
- 44:29Speaker 2: and stuff and sleep or whatever. Right, sleep paralysis can
- 44:32Speaker 2: do a lot of people. They can't move in bed
- 44:34Speaker 2: at night, They report seeing shadowy figures, just like John
- 44:37Speaker 2: had expressed, having horrific nightmares, just like John expressed, but
- 44:42Speaker 2: maybe he doesn't believe their nightmares he thought they were real.
- 44:45Speaker 2: Or finally, this all actually fucking happened and there's no
- 44:51Speaker 2: proof and the only proof that there was went down
- 44:56Speaker 2: with the doctor.
- 44:58Speaker 3: And they haven't been able to get that again.
- 45:00Speaker 2: Nope.
- 45:02Speaker 3: Whoa, This is a case and a half because I
- 45:07Speaker 3: don't normally like believe in this sort of thing.
- 45:10Speaker 2: Hey, so this is well, do you believe in this
- 45:13Speaker 2: one kind of kind of It's hard not to.
- 45:19Speaker 3: It is hard not to. Huh, ding dang.
- 45:26Speaker 2: We need a shirt that just says ding dang, ding dang,
- 45:29Speaker 2: which actually reminds me. We are doing a whole new
- 45:33Speaker 2: merch lineup. We are going to release it this Halloween week.
- 45:36Speaker 2: We're a little bit behind so in the coming weeks,
- 45:38Speaker 2: one or two weeks away, we will have a whole
- 45:41Speaker 2: new merch out there. We'll be getting rid of a
- 45:43Speaker 2: bunch of merch and then new stuff coming in. So
- 45:46Speaker 2: just while I remembered it, So.
- 45:47Speaker 3: How can you even function right now? For me to
- 45:50Speaker 3: put a sentence together right now is just not happening.
- 45:52Speaker 3: My mind is just in a million pieces.
- 45:55Speaker 2: I saved this one for Halloween Day on purpose.
- 45:59Speaker 3: Well, like people who are maybe like listening to an
- 46:01Speaker 3: earbud while they're going trick or treating or something with
- 46:04Speaker 3: their kids are just going to be like wrecked if.
- 46:07Speaker 2: They see a kid run up in like an alien outfit,
- 46:10Speaker 2: like a gray suit or something. Oh, just punch it
- 46:12Speaker 2: in the head. Ah, like you know, yeah, not saying
- 46:15Speaker 2: like that, you should as a reaction, like you know,
- 46:18Speaker 2: just being terrified. Jeez yept don't hit kids.
- 46:23Speaker 3: No, this is unreal.
- 46:26Speaker 2: Yeah, And that's the story of Stardust Ranch. And honestly,
- 46:29Speaker 2: you can go deeper into this really well.
- 46:31Speaker 3: Yeah, and the fact like I mean it's been but
- 46:35Speaker 3: it's been for sale for quite some time, and I
- 46:38Speaker 3: mean do people know people probably know about it. You
- 46:41Speaker 3: don't divulge that, right.
- 46:43Speaker 2: Oh well, I think, why would you have to divulge anything.
- 46:47Speaker 2: I guess divulge what there's no proof of shit?
- 46:51Speaker 3: But I thought, if like weird shit's going down or
- 46:53Speaker 3: anything weird happened on your property, like you're supposed to
- 46:57Speaker 3: divulge that.
- 46:59Speaker 2: But there's no I prove. Okay, I've had an alien encounter.
- 47:03Speaker 2: Aliens don't exist, I've had a ghostly encounter. Ghost don't exist.
- 47:06Speaker 2: Why would you have to divulge that. There's nowhere in
- 47:10Speaker 2: any sort of human history that we as far as
- 47:14Speaker 2: I'm aware, that's been released to public because who knows
- 47:16Speaker 2: government stuff where we acknowledge the existence of ghosts or aliens.
- 47:24Speaker 2: I think there was something released earlier this year that
- 47:26Speaker 2: said something potentially about extraterrestrials. I don't think that was
- 47:29Speaker 2: still confirming technically, I'm gonna assume that's out. But anyways,
- 47:33Speaker 2: you know what I'm saying. Now, there have been there's
- 47:36Speaker 2: been books written about this place, there's documentaries about this place.
- 47:39Speaker 2: There's been ghost hunters that have gone there that actually
- 47:41Speaker 2: believe there's there's hauntings involved in the property as well,
- 47:44Speaker 2: not just extraterrestrial because I mean, hey, we do have
- 47:48Speaker 2: a the previous owners had a kid who passed away in.
- 47:51Speaker 3: Rights, right, Yeah, but it's just so sad. This place
- 47:55Speaker 3: just like ruined John's dream and like a damn good
- 47:59Speaker 3: dream too, you know to no kidding, so animal to
- 48:02Speaker 3: have an animal rescue.
- 48:03Speaker 2: Is like it's pure.
- 48:06Speaker 3: Yeah, so it's just it's just kind of it's frustrating
- 48:09Speaker 3: and kind of sad. Yeah too, Like freg, I'm not
- 48:13Speaker 3: going to be stopped being able to stop thinking about
- 48:15Speaker 3: the ship all day.
- 48:16Speaker 2: You're welcome, thanks being on the fucking Halloween Wow. Hopefully
- 48:23Speaker 2: you guys are having a good Halloween. Hopefully you guys
- 48:25Speaker 2: enjoyed Halloween Week. We certainly did. I'm just a reminder
- 48:28Speaker 2: Nicole mentioned at the beginning we will not be coming
- 48:30Speaker 2: up with an episode tomorrow, which is Friday. It's the
- 48:33Speaker 2: following Tuesday in November where we will be coming out
- 48:37Speaker 2: with our next episode. So yeah, I'm just a reminder
- 48:40Speaker 2: of that.
- 48:41Speaker 3: Well well done this Halloween Week.
- 48:43Speaker 2: Thank you. I did good. Couldn't have done it without you?
- 48:46Speaker 3: Well, that's debatable.
- 48:47Speaker 2: Yeah it is. I'm sorry, No, it's not, that's what
- 48:50Speaker 2: I meant to say.
- 48:51Speaker 3: I just okay, normally, like I would be doing I
- 48:53Speaker 3: would be doing some but I also this is like
- 48:56Speaker 3: the busiest time for me, and we're also moving, so
- 48:58Speaker 3: it's just like if we weren't like the moving. Just
- 49:01Speaker 3: you know.
- 49:01Speaker 2: Yeah, No, I understand wholeheartedly.
- 49:03Speaker 3: There's only so much a person can do.
- 49:05Speaker 2: Okay, next Halloween Week, you'll do it.
- 49:07Speaker 3: I will do all of it.
- 49:09Speaker 2: Episode next Halloween Week is all Nicole. I'm saying it now.
- 49:13Speaker 2: Hell No, I will.
- 49:15Speaker 3: Be doing an episode though in November, for sure.
- 49:18Speaker 2: Okay, good to hear good, I'm looking forward to that. Well.
- 49:21Speaker 2: I think there's only one thing left to do, and
- 49:24Speaker 2: that's to bring Jacko in to wrap this all.
- 49:26Speaker 3: Up my heart, Yes, so do it.
- 49:30Speaker 2: Cheers to Halloween. We yours, Cheers to Halloween. Cheers to
- 49:33Speaker 2: you guys for being here. Thank you so much. You're incredible.
- 49:37Speaker 2: And uh, Nicole, do you want to bring in Jacko?
- 49:40Speaker 3: I don't. It's very sad, but you got to. We must,
- 49:43Speaker 3: so come on in, Jacko.
- 49:46Speaker 2: It seems like it was only yesterday that we first spoke,
- 49:51Speaker 2: yet here we are, in all final moments of the
- 49:54Speaker 2: fourth annual event. I do hope you enjoyed each tale
- 49:58Speaker 2: and each episode from this Halloween Week. I certainly know
- 50:03Speaker 2: that I have. Yet, for some reason, even though we
- 50:08Speaker 2: had seven days together, the goodbye almost seems to overshadow
- 50:13Speaker 2: it all. But as they say, it's better to have
- 50:18Speaker 2: loved and lost than never have loved at all. We
- 50:23Speaker 2: here at wicked and grim, appreciate every single one of
- 50:27Speaker 2: you for being here. But a new sun must rise,
- 50:32Speaker 2: and as surely as it will when all Hallow's Eve
- 50:34Speaker 2: has passed, so will we return once again next year
- 50:40Speaker 2: for another Halloween Week. Ladies, gentlemen, Theays and M's. It
- 50:49Speaker 2: has been my absolute pleasure to be your guide through
- 50:52Speaker 2: this all. So until we meet again, I leave you
- 50:57Speaker 2: with these final words, stay wicked,
