- 1:00Speaker 2: Juicy Scoop with Heather MacDonald. Yes, I have so much
- 1:04Speaker 2: to catch up with you guys on my weekend, on topics,
- 1:07Speaker 2: on everything that's going on. You have been asking that
- 1:10Speaker 2: I do a solo and now you're going to get it.
- 1:13Speaker 2: And oh my God. Well, first let's just talk about
- 1:16Speaker 2: my fun weekend. Went to New York. with Andrea Lopez
- 1:21Speaker 2: and Anna Roisman. They were my opening sketch guests. It
- 1:25Speaker 2: was so fun. To everybody that came to New York,
- 1:28Speaker 2: Lincoln Center in DC, as well as Red Bank, we
- 1:33Speaker 2: had a blast. I took the train. So fun. Like, wow.
- 1:39Speaker 2: We took a train from New York to D.C. I
- 1:41Speaker 2: was very scared. I was terrified we'd miss it. I
- 1:46Speaker 2: was panicked. And, like, as I got on the train,
- 1:49Speaker 2: I had to tell everybody, I'm sorry, it's my first
- 1:50Speaker 2: time on a train. I don't know where to put
- 1:52Speaker 2: my suitcase. Like, it was just all embarrassing for Drake,
- 1:56Speaker 2: my son, who was– helping us, assisting us, filming the shows. Anyway,
- 2:02Speaker 2: it was so fun. And then, of course, my next
- 2:04Speaker 2: show will be at Agua Caliente in Palm Springs. I
- 2:09Speaker 2: think there might be still a few tickets left. Go
- 2:11Speaker 2: to HeatherMcDonald.net. That is March 1st, Saturday night. Only one
- 2:16Speaker 2: show there. How fun it is going to be. Beautiful weekend. HeatherMcDonald.net.
- 2:21Speaker 2: So you're going to go there. And also what I've
- 2:25Speaker 2: been doing, I'm going to share... on Patreon. And people,
- 2:28Speaker 2: you go, oh, why do you have to save stuff
- 2:29Speaker 2: for Patreon? Because it's the more personal stuff. I've been
- 2:32Speaker 2: doing it for now like eight and a half years.
- 2:34Speaker 2: It's basically my diary. And in doing what I'm going
- 2:40Speaker 2: to share there, I've been going through some old things
- 2:44Speaker 2: that I found, like old notebooks from like 1995, where
- 2:47Speaker 2: like stand-up jokes began, as well as things from like
- 2:50Speaker 2: 10 years ago. And just to wet your whistle, I
- 2:55Speaker 2: found this typed up thing that we did in the
- 3:00Speaker 2: writer's room of Chelsea Lately. And I believe, I can't
- 3:05Speaker 2: remember which writer put it together. Someone with nice writing
- 3:08Speaker 2: put it together. And we all took it home and
- 3:10Speaker 2: I saved it. And it's several pages of very inappropriate
- 3:14Speaker 2: things that were said, though hilarious, in the writer's room
- 3:18Speaker 2: during that time. And this is what freaks me out.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:22Speaker 2: So this is probably maybe 11 years ago, like the
- 3:25Speaker 2: last six months of, or maybe last year of the
- 3:28Speaker 2: show that we started to like chronicle when people said crazy, funny,
- 3:33Speaker 2: off the cuff stuff in a writer's room. I have
- 3:37Speaker 2: a quote in here that says, I've always kind of
- 3:40Speaker 2: wanted to faint, but I never have.
- 3:42Speaker 1: Okay.
- 3:43Speaker 2: So I said that over 11 years ago, two pages
- 3:46Speaker 2: later with different writers in between, it says, Have you
- 3:50Speaker 2: ever been in an ambulance? It's on my bucket list. Heather.
- 3:55Speaker 2: There's a lot of other ones that are super funny,
- 3:58Speaker 2: all of which I'll share there, even the extremely inappropriate
- 4:01Speaker 2: ones that are mine. I'm not going to share other people's.
- 4:06Speaker 2: But crazy, strange. Also, in searching for my old stuff,
- 4:12Speaker 2: I found some taglines. I must have asked you guys
- 4:15Speaker 2: what you will give me for a tagline if I
- 4:17Speaker 2: was ever to become a real housewife. And some of
- 4:20Speaker 2: these are real doozies. Okay. I like all of them.
- 4:23Speaker 2: And I may have read these 10 years ago, but
- 4:25Speaker 2: I don't remember. This comedian has a juicy scoop around town.
- 4:29Speaker 2: Cross me and I'll make you the clown. Pretty good.
- 4:33Speaker 2: This is from a girl named Brianna. I don't spread
- 4:35Speaker 2: my legs. I spread the word of juicy scoop and
- 4:38Speaker 2: Jesus Christ. That's what I used to say. Spread the
- 4:41Speaker 2: word of juicy scoop as you would Jesus Christ. And
- 4:44Speaker 2: you know, that gets me in trouble.
- 4:45Speaker 3: Okay.
- 4:46Speaker 2: Um, I'm going to save these for my Patreon on Friday,
- 4:49Speaker 2: but here's one of my favorite ones. Hold on. This
- 4:54Speaker 2: is too dirty. I'll save the dirty one for the
- 4:57Speaker 2: other one.
- 4:58Speaker 4: Okay.
- 4:59Speaker 2: I pray to God, but that's not the only thing
- 5:02Speaker 2: I do on my knees. Kind of nasty. I may
- 5:07Speaker 2: be a comedian who loves to play. But don't you
- 5:10Speaker 2: dare disrespect my Chardonnay. That'd especially be good if I
- 5:15Speaker 2: was a housewife with a Chardonnay line. Anyway, there's a
- 5:19Speaker 2: ton of these. So fun. Okay, now let's get into
- 5:23Speaker 2: what's been happening in the last week or so. So
- 5:28Speaker 2: I know you guys are like, not very few, very
- 5:31Speaker 2: few of you are like, I don't care about Blake
- 5:33Speaker 2: and Justin. But I'm going to give you updates. I
- 5:36Speaker 2: don't have a guest here where I have to recap
- 5:38Speaker 2: the whole thing for 20 minutes. But the latest is
- 5:42Speaker 2: Blake Lively was supposed to turn in an amended complaint
- 5:46Speaker 2: about the original complaint, which was she was sexually harassed
- 5:51Speaker 2: on set by Justin Baldoni. And it was going back
- 5:55Speaker 2: and forth. She also had subpoenaed, asked to subpoena all
- 5:59Speaker 2: the phone records from all different carriers for her case
- 6:05Speaker 2: about Justin doing a huge smear campaign with his people
- 6:12Speaker 2: and with his publicist, with bots and everything else to
- 6:16Speaker 2: ruin her career. upset her reputation, causing her distress, and
- 6:22Speaker 2: also losing work. So that was all part of her
- 6:25Speaker 2: first thing. So his biggest thing coming back is I
- 6:30Speaker 2: did not sexual harass anyone. And also- Now, in everybody
- 6:35Speaker 2: researching it, she really took over the project. OK, so
- 6:38Speaker 2: that we know I'm not going to rehash everything. All
- 6:41Speaker 2: the interviews I've talked about where she's literally telling on herself.
- 6:44Speaker 2: And she's like, yeah, when you have me come, you know,
- 6:47Speaker 2: it's kind of funny. A lot of people think I'm
- 6:49Speaker 2: just going to come in and be this actor and
- 6:50Speaker 2: I pretend I just want to be an actor. But
- 6:52Speaker 2: I have to be in every part of it. I
- 6:54Speaker 2: want to be part of the wardrobe. I want to
- 6:56Speaker 2: be part of the script. I want to take the
- 6:58Speaker 2: script and find the little nuggets that I can make
- 7:01Speaker 2: a bigger thing out of and put myself in. into it.
- 7:04Speaker 2: And it's really just about exploring what a character can
- 7:08Speaker 2: be when the character is you, but you want to
- 7:09Speaker 2: be part of it. And you want to explore what
- 7:12Speaker 2: you're putting out there to show that it is about you,
- 7:16Speaker 2: but as well as what it can be to the
- 7:18Speaker 2: viewer who wants to see the flowers of the relationship
- 7:22Speaker 2: and who this woman is. And it's like, ah, it
- 7:24Speaker 2: is the most like word sally kind of talking. And
- 7:27Speaker 2: we've all been watching all of this stuff. So What
- 7:32Speaker 2: was it? We know that Jenny Slate, who plays his
- 7:36Speaker 2: sister in the movie, Justin's sister in the movie, and
- 7:38Speaker 2: her best friend, that right off the bat, she stopped
- 7:42Speaker 2: following Justin Baldoni and we assume she was on the
- 7:47Speaker 2: side of Blake, though we haven't really heard from her.
- 7:52Speaker 2: And now basically Blake Latest complaint, which was like at
- 7:56Speaker 2: the final hour, the judge said, you have to have
- 7:58Speaker 2: it by this. They asked for extensions. The judge was like, no,
- 8:00Speaker 2: put it in. She says, there's two women also on
- 8:05Speaker 2: the cast of It Ends With Us that also said
- 8:08Speaker 2: they felt uncomfortable. That's all we know at this point.
- 8:13Speaker 2: She does not say Jenny Slate or the girl who
- 8:17Speaker 2: played young Lily. who looked just like her, was a
- 8:20Speaker 2: great actress. You know, about a third of the movie
- 8:23Speaker 2: was her as this young girl falling in love with
- 8:26Speaker 2: her first boyfriend, which plays this other actress. And there's
- 8:29Speaker 2: romantic scenes and sex scenes in there that I'm assuming
- 8:31Speaker 2: Justin Baldoni, as the director, would have had to have
- 8:34Speaker 2: some say in how it was done, would have had
- 8:36Speaker 2: to talk to her, say, do it this way. I
- 8:40Speaker 2: think I said it before. I think Justin Baldoni is
- 8:45Speaker 2: a close talker. I think he's someone who is that
- 8:48Speaker 2: acting teacher, that acting artsy guy that stands like this
- 8:54Speaker 2: a little too close to you and really looks in
- 8:56Speaker 2: your eyes. And that's how he conveys what he's trying
- 9:00Speaker 2: to get across. So what I personally think happened is
- 9:04Speaker 2: I think she got, Blake, got some verbal confirmation two
- 9:08Speaker 2: years ago or even sooner or even more recent with
- 9:13Speaker 2: Jenny Slate and Isabella, who plays the young character of herself,
- 9:17Speaker 2: at some point, either on set or during this time
- 9:20Speaker 2: where she did the complaint, where they said, you know,
- 9:23Speaker 2: where she was just sort of bitching like a boss, like,
- 9:25Speaker 2: don't you hate it when he does this? And then
- 9:27Speaker 2: being like, yeah, it's a little much. He's a bit
- 9:30Speaker 2: of a close talker. He gets a little too intense
- 9:32Speaker 2: in his description. And didn't it make you feel uncomfortable? Yeah,
- 9:37Speaker 2: it was a little uncomfortable. I would be shocked if
- 9:40Speaker 2: there was really more evidence to to the supposed Jenny
- 9:44Speaker 2: Slate and Isabella. Now they don't say their name, but
- 9:47Speaker 2: there's literally the only other people in the movie is
- 9:51Speaker 2: the woman that played Lily's mother. And I don't think
- 9:54Speaker 2: it's this older woman who complained about him. And I
- 9:58Speaker 2: don't really think Blake was, you know, getting close to
- 10:01Speaker 2: an extra or someone who had one line at a restaurant.
- 10:04Speaker 2: I don't think that's who it is. I think, you know,
- 10:07Speaker 2: when someone's Bitching or complaining about their husband or a coworker.
- 10:10Speaker 2: And they, you know, you kind of get into it like, yeah,
- 10:12Speaker 2: oh my God. Yeah. I, yeah, I was a little
- 10:15Speaker 2: creeped out, you know, when he came over and was like,
- 10:17Speaker 2: you're going to do great in this scene. And when
- 10:20Speaker 2: I say it reminds me of the, that acting teacher,
- 10:23Speaker 2: that guy, that's like a little too yoga pants, him
- 10:27Speaker 2: bun wearing. I get it. That's who he is. Does
- 10:31Speaker 2: it mean he's a sexual harasser? We're just discussing. I'm not,
- 10:34Speaker 2: you know, trying the case. I'm just saying public opinion. No,
- 10:38Speaker 2: I don't think he is. I do think he's going
- 10:41Speaker 2: to prevail in this whole big thing. I think Jenny
- 10:43Speaker 2: Slate is probably like, oh, fuck, you know, because now
- 10:49Speaker 2: his defense, you know, and his attorneys, not only his
- 10:53Speaker 2: defense attorney, but his attorneys who are also suing Blake Lively,
- 10:57Speaker 2: Ryan Reynolds for $ 400 million, if those people come and
- 11:03Speaker 2: are witnesses for her, they are going to rip those
- 11:07Speaker 2: two women apart and ask about going deep. They've got
- 11:12Speaker 2: the money to go in deep about every podcast they've
- 11:14Speaker 2: ever done, every interview. We already found an interview that
- 11:18Speaker 2: Jenny Slate said joking about how she would hit her ex-husband,
- 11:23Speaker 2: Chris Pratt. I listened to it. I don't think it
- 11:25Speaker 2: should be taken seriously. But yeah, if all of a
- 11:29Speaker 2: sudden I was part of a big lawsuit, Don't you
- 11:32Speaker 2: think they would go through every single thing I have
- 11:35Speaker 2: said on Twitter, on podcasts, on Chelsea Lately, on my Patreon?
- 11:39Speaker 2: every single thing and try to be like, well, she
- 11:42Speaker 2: must not be that upset about this thing because she
- 11:46Speaker 2: joked about Harvey Weinstein in his bathrobe with Chris Frangiolla
- 11:50Speaker 2: five years ago. Like, it still– it doesn't– even though
- 11:53Speaker 2: I joked about that, which was probably at the time
- 11:56Speaker 2: maybe a little raw and too inappropriate to talk about,
- 11:58Speaker 2: it doesn't mean that this other thing still didn't happen
- 12:01Speaker 2: to me. So now I assume– These girls are like, oh, fuck.
- 12:07Speaker 2: But now what do they do? Because they also want
- 12:10Speaker 2: to be loyal to who they said they're going to
- 12:12Speaker 2: be loyal to. It is a big effing mess for everybody. Recently,
- 12:17Speaker 2: Gayle King interviewed the other love interest in the movie.
- 12:22Speaker 2: And she's like, whose side are you on or something?
- 12:25Speaker 2: And he goes, it ends with us. Like, it ends,
- 12:28Speaker 2: I don't want to discuss any of it, which is
- 12:31Speaker 2: the right thing to do, but he's a guy, so
- 12:33Speaker 2: he's not saying Justin Baldoni, you know, was sexually harassing him. Yeah,
- 12:40Speaker 2: I had an acting teacher in high school that was
- 12:43Speaker 2: a real close talker, but I was so excited to
- 12:47Speaker 2: finally have someone that was gonna, like, get us into, like,
- 12:49Speaker 2: the LA high school improv competition. We were finally doing
- 12:54Speaker 2: real stuff in drama at this school, And he came
- 12:58Speaker 2: up to me one day and he was like, now listen,
- 13:01Speaker 2: I had a big fat face. A lot of people
- 13:03Speaker 2: think I have cheek filler. I'll show you some old photos.
- 13:06Speaker 2: These are my cheeks. Imagine how fat they were all
- 13:10Speaker 2: those years back, okay? So I looked like a human
- 13:14Speaker 2: Cabbage Patch doll. I was not a looker, though my
- 13:18Speaker 2: mother told me I was. And this guy... came up doing,
- 13:22Speaker 2: he's like well into his forties, you know, and his
- 13:24Speaker 2: biggest claim to fame was he played a priest on
- 13:26Speaker 2: Young and Restless. But anyway, coincidentally, and he goes, I
- 13:31Speaker 2: just want to tell you, you know, it's so great
- 13:34Speaker 2: that you're, you know, the president of the thespian club
- 13:37Speaker 2: and you're such an inspiration to the younger girls. And
- 13:40Speaker 2: I just, and he took my face and he kissed
- 13:42Speaker 2: my cheek. And I remember feeling real creepy about it.
- 13:46Speaker 2: And I was like, oh God, I just want this
- 13:50Speaker 2: to stop, but I don't want him to get fired
- 13:52Speaker 2: because I really want to go to the LA improv
- 13:55Speaker 2: competition with all these other high schools that we've never
- 13:57Speaker 2: been able to go to. So I went and told
- 14:00Speaker 2: my English teacher, who was a woman, and I said,
- 14:03Speaker 2: I go, I don't think he's trying to get with me.
- 14:05Speaker 2: I think he doesn't understand that he's a close talker
- 14:08Speaker 2: and that we are young girls and he's one of
- 14:10Speaker 2: three male teachers. This is what I was saying in
- 14:13Speaker 2: like 1988. And after that, he stood way far back.
- 14:19Speaker 2: We We went and did the one acts. We did
- 14:21Speaker 2: all these cool things, said goodbye, never heard from him again.
- 14:25Speaker 2: He never had anybody say he did anything wrong after that.
- 14:29Speaker 2: I'm not, that was just my experience. Okay. I'm just
- 14:32Speaker 2: saying there could have been something where in casually saying, yes,
- 14:36Speaker 2: like sometimes he's a little intense. He definitely seems like
- 14:40Speaker 2: someone who does like a lot of leave-in conditioners for
- 14:44Speaker 2: his hair and And, like, probably also, like, you know,
- 14:47Speaker 2: does that for his friends and wives. I don't know.
- 14:49Speaker 2: It just– wives. His wife. Anyway, he just strikes me as, like,
- 14:53Speaker 2: kind of a person. So we have that going on.
- 14:56Speaker 2: That's the latest with that. Also– so these are just
- 15:01Speaker 2: the– she just said– Blake goes on to say that
- 15:04Speaker 2: another female cast member confided in her that she felt
- 15:07Speaker 2: uneasy on set and her concerns were also documented in
- 15:11Speaker 2: writing nearly a year before the film had started.
- 15:14Speaker 1: Okay.
- 15:15Speaker 2: What is that? Is that a text between the two
- 15:17Speaker 2: of them, between Blake and this other actress? Did it
- 15:20Speaker 2: actually go to Sony or Wayfarer or to Justin? That
- 15:26Speaker 2: could be also more damaging than just what I'm saying.
- 15:30Speaker 2: I felt a little creeped out. He's a close talker.
- 15:32Speaker 2: We'll see. Also, in addition, Blake claims a female cast
- 15:34Speaker 2: member reported her concerns to Sony's Angie Giannetti and a
- 15:39Speaker 2: producer of the film. So she's saying one person was,
- 15:42Speaker 2: you know, We don't have all that information. So that's
- 15:45Speaker 2: the latest that we will get. We'll get how much
- 15:48Speaker 2: and what of concern, how much detail. Was it on
- 15:52Speaker 2: this day at 4.45, I was getting a muffin and
- 15:56Speaker 2: he came right behind me and I felt his penis
- 15:58Speaker 2: through his yoga pants. What is it? You know, what
- 16:01Speaker 2: is it? So we'll hopefully find out. You know, also,
- 16:06Speaker 2: when the person you're saying is sexually harassing you is
- 16:09Speaker 2: drop-dead gorgeous... with a perfect body and seems to be
- 16:15Speaker 2: an overall nice guy that every woman and man that
- 16:19Speaker 2: sees him, here he is in Hawaii, lucky for him.
- 16:23Speaker 2: Some paparazzi just happened to be there to take his
- 16:27Speaker 2: perfect body photo. It also makes it like you're like
- 16:31Speaker 2: versus a Harvey Weinstein where you're like, whoa. So It
- 16:36Speaker 2: doesn't make a difference, but we are talking about this
- 16:40Speaker 2: because it is such a big thing to discuss. And
- 16:44Speaker 2: that also makes people maybe not really believe the whole
- 16:48Speaker 2: Blake Lively thing. Okay, then. Let's get into the Ryan Reynolds,
- 16:52Speaker 2: Blake Lively. So this weekend was the 50th anniversary of
- 16:55Speaker 2: SNL and there were parties and, you know, and then
- 16:59Speaker 2: there was a Chris Rock 60th party the next night
- 17:02Speaker 2: and an after party and the events and the red
- 17:05Speaker 2: carpet and everything. You know, Kim Kardashian played in a
- 17:09Speaker 2: sketch and so did Scarlett Johansson, who has been on
- 17:12Speaker 2: the show a lot and is married to Colin, who
- 17:15Speaker 2: is a regular on the show. She was previously married
- 17:18Speaker 2: to Ryan Reynolds. So interestingly, Ryan Reynolds and Blake Lively,
- 17:23Speaker 2: who skipped the last couple award shows, went to this,
- 17:29Speaker 2: you know, looking gorgeous and great, walking the red carpet
- 17:33Speaker 2: and Some people were surprised that they attended. And now
- 17:38Speaker 2: it's– so there was this moment where Tina Fey and
- 17:41Speaker 2: Amy Poehler are on stage and people in the audience
- 17:45Speaker 2: that are famous are asking questions and it's Ryan Reynolds.
- 17:48Speaker 2: And they're like, oh, how's everything going for you lately, Ryan?
- 17:52Speaker 2: And he goes, why? What have you heard? And it
- 17:54Speaker 2: pretty much ends there. But that got a lot of
- 17:57Speaker 2: talk and a lot of articles. And so– Like people
- 18:03Speaker 2: were like, oh, my God, you know, if she was
- 18:05Speaker 2: really sexually harassed, he's making light of it. Again, there's
- 18:09Speaker 2: two ways of thought. One, you go away, away, away.
- 18:13Speaker 2: Two is you fight it. You stay in the limelight.
- 18:17Speaker 2: You continue on. You have fake fan moments being filmed
- 18:23Speaker 2: like he did with those people signing. You have the
- 18:26Speaker 2: paparazzi fighting. meet you when you're getting coffee to just
- 18:29Speaker 2: look like you're living your life. And you go to
- 18:32Speaker 2: the SNL thing and you talk to people. When you
- 18:34Speaker 2: come up to people, just because they've been reading that
- 18:38Speaker 2: there's some bullshit going on between you and your lawsuits
- 18:41Speaker 2: and everything, if they know you, they're going to be nice.
- 18:43Speaker 2: They're going to take a photo. So now you have
- 18:45Speaker 2: photos with Chevy Chase and all these other people. No
- 18:47Speaker 2: one seems to be blowing them off at these parties.
- 18:51Speaker 2: But in doing that now, this guy also did a
- 18:53Speaker 2: podcast that worked at who said there was another question,
- 18:58Speaker 2: another situation with Ryan Reynolds that they were supposed to do.
- 19:01Speaker 2: And at the last minute, he pitched this. And if
- 19:05Speaker 2: SNL is edgy and wants to be the pulse of
- 19:09Speaker 2: what everyone's talking about, that was the right exchange to
- 19:12Speaker 2: have with Ryan Reynolds, not just talk about Deadpool or whatever.
- 19:17Speaker 2: And so sometimes I think they only don't want to
- 19:20Speaker 2: do that to their guest because they don't want to
- 19:23Speaker 2: offend the guest. So if the guest is like, hey,
- 19:24Speaker 2: come on at me, say, you know, say this and
- 19:27Speaker 2: I'll be like, why? What have you heard? Mocking the
- 19:29Speaker 2: fact that it's all over the news. She seemed generally
- 19:34Speaker 2: like a little bit surprised, but I would maybe she
- 19:38Speaker 2: doesn't know. Maybe he really is that controlling and she
- 19:40Speaker 2: thought it was going to be the original bit or
- 19:41Speaker 2: she didn't even know he was going to stand up.
- 19:44Speaker 2: I don't know, but she just went along smiling, having
- 19:46Speaker 2: fun during the night. It was really star-studded. were great.
- 19:52Speaker 2: You know, there were some people that didn't attend that
- 19:55Speaker 2: from years back and even more recent years, like Bill Hader, who,
- 19:59Speaker 2: you know, dates Ali Wong. And it was so funny
- 20:01Speaker 2: and on the show and gone on to do his own,
- 20:03Speaker 2: you know, series and everything. And he just said, the
- 20:06Speaker 2: show gave me so much anxiety and stress. I love it. But,
- 20:10Speaker 2: you know, I just didn't feel like going. You never know.
- 20:12Speaker 2: It is one of the most stressful places for many
- 20:16Speaker 2: people I know that worked on it from times where
- 20:18Speaker 2: I was up for it. Again, I'll share that story
- 20:23Speaker 2: on the Patreon of auditioning and everything and what happened.
- 20:28Speaker 2: But since I was in New York, it was funny
- 20:31Speaker 2: because I was like, you know, I look at my
- 20:35Speaker 2: life and I'm like doing those great shows this weekend and,
- 20:39Speaker 2: you know, being with the these two younger performers, Andrea
- 20:43Speaker 2: and Anna, who I would love to see them go
- 20:45Speaker 2: on SNL one day. I was like, there is not
- 20:49Speaker 2: one ounce of envy I have about any of this.
- 20:52Speaker 2: I jokingly was like, love to go to the party.
- 20:54Speaker 2: But I was even like, if some weird thing came,
- 20:56Speaker 2: because the party was at a hotel. I normally stay
- 20:59Speaker 2: at the plaza and I ended up not staying there.
- 21:00Speaker 2: And I'm like, I wonder if it was downstairs where
- 21:02Speaker 2: I've been able to just like at least weasel around
- 21:05Speaker 2: since I'm staying at the hotel and just see some
- 21:07Speaker 2: people leaving and be like, hey, I don't know. I
- 21:10Speaker 2: think it all worked out perfectly. I was in my
- 21:12Speaker 2: bed and like caught a flight the next day. And because...
- 21:17Speaker 2: Everything always works out the way it's supposed to be
- 21:20Speaker 2: in life. And it's just a really interesting perspective that
- 21:23Speaker 2: I'm excited for you guys to listen and share on
- 21:26Speaker 2: the Patreon. Go to HeatherMcDonald.net. So they had all the parties. Also,
- 21:33Speaker 2: then someone posted this, that Ryan Reynolds, after his SNL
- 21:38Speaker 2: 50th anniversary appearance, he also appeared on The Voice, which
- 21:44Speaker 2: is just kind of interesting. So they are not... Going away,
- 21:49Speaker 2: like when most people have some social media stink or some,
- 21:53Speaker 2: you know, enclave of people being like, they said this,
- 21:56Speaker 2: they should be canceled, you know. Most people go away
- 22:00Speaker 2: for six months to a year or whatever. No, because
- 22:03Speaker 2: this is an active lawsuit and neither side is backing down.
- 22:07Speaker 2: Neither side is going to settle. Both want to have
- 22:11Speaker 2: a full-blown trial. The people I honestly feel sorry for
- 22:15Speaker 2: are these two actresses, whoever they might be, but we
- 22:17Speaker 2: know they're probably Jenny Slate and the Isabella, where it
- 22:22Speaker 2: leaves them. Now, also they said that now he could
- 22:26Speaker 2: use that in his– defense or not defense, but in
- 22:30Speaker 2: his argument against them, Justin, that, you know, you're joking
- 22:34Speaker 2: about the sexual harassment. So that's that. But I don't
- 22:36Speaker 2: really agree with that. I started on the plane ride home.
- 22:41Speaker 2: the movie that is about the first episode ever of
- 22:46Speaker 2: SNL back in the 70s. There's a guy playing Lorne Michael.
- 22:50Speaker 2: And I was like, oh, I love this. I've read
- 22:53Speaker 2: books on SNL and there's so many juicy things that
- 22:57Speaker 2: happened over the last 50 years. I was like all
- 23:00Speaker 2: excited to watch it. This, that is not it. Oh
- 23:04Speaker 2: my God. I did not enjoy it. Love to all
- 23:07Speaker 2: the actors, the young actors that played Chevy Chase and
- 23:11Speaker 2: Jim Belushi and, you know, Gilda Radner and everything. No
- 23:16Speaker 2: diss on them, okay? But it was just like this.
- 23:20Speaker 2: I could tell. I go, oh, this is going to
- 23:21Speaker 2: be a 90-minute movie. you know, or from 10 to
- 23:25Speaker 2: 1130 when it airs, like, so you're watching all the
- 23:28Speaker 2: chaos that happens. And they're just kind of like walking
- 23:31Speaker 2: through with this music that's like, and he's like, ah,
- 23:35Speaker 2: and then someone's being mean and someone's smoking weed and
- 23:37Speaker 2: someone's like yelling and then a light breaks. And they're like,
- 23:41Speaker 2: this is what the first night was like. And it
- 23:43Speaker 2: was so chaotic and all this stuff. And oh, Chevy
- 23:46Speaker 2: Chase is being tapped on his shoulder to actually take
- 23:49Speaker 2: over the Tonight Show. And I don't know. Just did
- 23:52Speaker 2: not do it for me. I... We'll watch a million
- 23:55Speaker 2: documentaries on SNL. I want to hear from people that
- 23:59Speaker 2: were– they always focus so much on the first group
- 24:01Speaker 2: of people from the 70s. No, the 90s when it
- 24:06Speaker 2: had its first kind of dip and it was like
- 24:09Speaker 2: where they were picking people like Janine Garofalo and Sarah Silverman.
- 24:13Speaker 2: But it was like struggling. Like I want to hear
- 24:16Speaker 2: from those people what their experience was like when they
- 24:19Speaker 2: thought they were the luckiest people in the world and
- 24:20Speaker 2: it didn't work out. Jay Moore wrote a really great
- 24:24Speaker 2: book about his time there, which was super juicy, where
- 24:27Speaker 2: he basically admits to kind of stealing a bit from
- 24:31Speaker 2: another comic and putting it into a sketch. And it's
- 24:34Speaker 2: so many more interesting things. So, okay. So then that's it.
- 24:40Speaker 2: Never been on SNL, did go to taping, did hang
- 24:42Speaker 2: out with many of them, know them, many of them personally,
- 24:45Speaker 2: and didn't go to the party. Moving on. Taylor Swift is, again, like,
- 24:50Speaker 2: keep me the fuck out of it. So there was
- 24:53Speaker 2: this controversy of, did Taylor have a say in getting
- 24:59Speaker 2: Isabella hired? And it sounds like It was really like
- 25:05Speaker 2: Justin says, I found her. I thought she looked just
- 25:07Speaker 2: like Blake. I showed her to Blake. Blake shared the
- 25:11Speaker 2: tape or the video with Taylor. And they both were like, yes,
- 25:15Speaker 2: you're right. She totally looks like me. She's perfect. She's great.
- 25:18Speaker 2: But then the story gets sent back to Isabella that
- 25:21Speaker 2: it was Taylor Swift who like greenlit her going on
- 25:24Speaker 2: as playing young Lily slash Blake. I don't know. Of course,
- 25:29Speaker 2: Taylor's like, what? No, I just showed up one day
- 25:32Speaker 2: and saw the script briefly and was like, oh, you know,
- 25:36Speaker 2: and they wanted to take the script and, you know,
- 25:39Speaker 2: change it and write Ryan's jokes in it. And I
- 25:41Speaker 2: just happened to be there. I don't know, but she
- 25:43Speaker 2: wants nothing to do this. Please don't drag me in.
- 25:47Speaker 2: She's probably terrified somehow Justin's people are going to find
- 25:51Speaker 2: a reason to subpoena her. You know, people don't want
- 25:54Speaker 2: to be subpoenaed. People don't want to be showing up
- 25:58Speaker 2: in court for any reason. They really don't. This was
- 26:01Speaker 2: really great. This is Jimmy Fallon's Instagram and he shared
- 26:06Speaker 2: his entire video from when he auditioned for SNL in 1998.
- 26:12Speaker 2: And it's so great and he's so charming and they
- 26:16Speaker 2: really still do it this way. And this is what
- 26:20Speaker 2: my audition was, what I was preparing for to do
- 26:23Speaker 2: it as well, where you do several celebrities. Then you
- 26:27Speaker 2: do some original characters. And of course, you want to
- 26:30Speaker 2: end on your best. So he did all these celebrity
- 26:33Speaker 2: ones and he did some original characters. And then he
- 26:36Speaker 2: ended on being able to play the guitar and doing music,
- 26:38Speaker 2: which is perfect. And it's so awkward because there's only
- 26:42Speaker 2: like a couple of people in the room. And even
- 26:44Speaker 2: when you do well, they don't laugh. But he's so
- 26:48Speaker 2: young and you can see his likability. And it's just
- 26:51Speaker 2: like I'd love to see All audition tapes. Like, I'm
- 26:55Speaker 2: just telling you, Peacock, you know, who's part of NBC,
- 26:59Speaker 2: do an entire seven, you know, season series on all
- 27:05Speaker 2: of SNL and people being interviewed and talking about it
- 27:08Speaker 2: and showing their audition tapes and saying the best parts,
- 27:11Speaker 2: the worst parts, all of it. Just tell all. The
- 27:15Speaker 2: car is beautiful. Where did you end up going for it?
- 27:18Speaker 2: This exclusive place that Dad has connections with. They have
- 27:21Speaker 2: more cars for more dealerships than, like, anywhere else. You
- 27:24Speaker 2: have to put me in touch. What's it called? It's Dunediel.
- 27:28Speaker 4: Where?
- 27:30Speaker 2: Dunediel. There's an accent on the E. Do you mean... Yes,
- 27:35Speaker 2: I got it on Dunediel Cars.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Lift?
- 27:37Speaker 1: Please.
- 27:37Speaker 2: You going past Kimmage? Oh, Kimmage. No. Dunediel Cars. You
- 27:42Speaker 2: couldn't possibly go anywhere else.
- 27:45Speaker 4: I'm Darman, and this is What Happens Next. Each week
- 27:48Speaker 4: on the show, I sit down with extraordinary people who
- 27:51Speaker 4: have faced tremendous setbacks, and yet somehow have found a
- 27:56Speaker 4: way to turn them into their greatest strengths.
- 27:58Speaker 2: Life is one long lesson of chaos. I'm heading to
- 28:02Speaker 2: the Emmys, and I have police complaints filed against me.
- 28:05Speaker 1: When your free will was about to be taken from you,
- 28:07Speaker 1: what would you do if it was given back?
- 28:10Speaker 4: Where did that need come from, where you thought that
- 28:12Speaker 4: you had to succeed in order to feel loved?
- 28:15Speaker 2: He said, I have a work dad.
- 28:16Speaker 4: I need a home dad.
- 28:17Speaker 2: What happens next?
- 28:18Speaker 4: When I came in, he started crying.
- 28:20Speaker 2: Everybody in life encounters hardships.
- 28:22Speaker 4: What defines them is not those hard moments that they
- 28:25Speaker 4: go through. It's about what happens next.
- 28:28Speaker 2: I decided to risk it all. I realized how valuable
- 28:31Speaker 2: every day was. You're worth the work.
- 28:32Speaker 1: Listen, Dara, I'm not going to pull punches.
- 28:35Speaker 2: You can use your voice even if it's shaped.
- 28:37Speaker 4: The stories are different, but the impact is the same.
- 28:40Speaker 4: Only one question matters. What happens next?
- 28:51Speaker 2: Okay. A $ AP Rocky was found not guilty. And he is,
- 28:58Speaker 2: you know, a rapper. He has a lot going on,
- 29:02Speaker 2: which I'll get to in a minute. He is also,
- 29:05Speaker 2: his partner, girlfriend, they're not married, is Rihanna. But they
- 29:08Speaker 2: have two little boys, a two and a one-year-old, and
- 29:11Speaker 2: they're together. Now, he was in trial, and I kept
- 29:15Speaker 2: seeing next day of the trial, next day of the trial.
- 29:17Speaker 2: And I'm like, what is this? What is this trial?
- 29:20Speaker 2: And every article that came out yesterday was just that
- 29:22Speaker 2: he was not guilty. I'm like, can someone just give
- 29:25Speaker 2: me why he was there in the first place? So
- 29:28Speaker 2: I looked it up. And back in 2021, A $ AP
- 29:34Speaker 2: Rocky was accused by A $ AP Relly for getting angry,
- 29:40Speaker 2: whipping out a gun and shooting him in which the
- 29:42Speaker 2: bullet brazed his knuckle. So what he was there for
- 29:47Speaker 2: was assault with a deadly weapon, which was a semi-automatic gun.
- 29:51Speaker 2: So from the little bit that I read, now, of course,
- 29:53Speaker 2: I didn't watch the whole trial. It sounds like there
- 29:57Speaker 2: wasn't a lot of evidence. It was kind of like
- 30:01Speaker 2: a he said, he said, though there were these other
- 30:03Speaker 2: groups of people around and I guess he got mad
- 30:05Speaker 2: at him or felt someone in his group was in
- 30:08Speaker 2: danger by ASAP rally. And the jury went with the
- 30:13Speaker 2: thought of two things that they were told. One, that
- 30:17Speaker 2: he never had a real gun, that it was a
- 30:21Speaker 2: prop from something that he did. However, the other defense,
- 30:26Speaker 2: which seemed confusing when I was reading this, was also
- 30:28Speaker 2: that he did this in self-defense. Or this guy is
- 30:33Speaker 2: just making it all up. So... With all those things,
- 30:37Speaker 2: there was just way too much doubt. Did he whip
- 30:40Speaker 2: out a fake gun as like a joke? Did he
- 30:43Speaker 2: have a real gun, but it was self-defense? Or did
- 30:47Speaker 2: it not happen at all? And this guy is the
- 30:49Speaker 2: jealous high school buddy whose ASAP name is not as
- 30:53Speaker 2: famous as ASAP Rocky. ASAP Raleigh, ASAP Rocky. They only
- 31:00Speaker 2: deliberated for three hours and was like, no, not guilty.
- 31:03Speaker 2: He was looking at decades if he was convicted at
- 31:07Speaker 2: the last moment the prosecutor offered them a plea deal
- 31:11Speaker 2: of six months in jail he said no um Rihanna
- 31:16Speaker 2: brought one of, I think, the older boy a few
- 31:19Speaker 2: times during the trial, but she was there for the verdict.
- 31:23Speaker 2: And it was, you know, a great moment. I mean,
- 31:26Speaker 2: if you're a defense attorney, if this is your loved
- 31:28Speaker 2: one who's and everyone cheered and he went right to her, which,
- 31:32Speaker 2: of course, we love. You know, we love their cute family.
- 31:35Speaker 2: We love her. And I definitely think from what I
- 31:38Speaker 2: read that the jury came to the right decision. And
- 31:42Speaker 2: then you're kind of wondering, like, well, with this, like,
- 31:44Speaker 2: lack of evidence, how did this even get to a
- 31:47Speaker 2: place of the courts? Well, oftentimes, you know, a DA,
- 31:52Speaker 2: this is a high-profile case, and they're excited about it,
- 31:55Speaker 2: and they– want to get that time in front of
- 31:59Speaker 2: the world and the cameras. That's just my opinion sometimes.
- 32:03Speaker 2: Other people will say, no, there was a lot of evidence,
- 32:05Speaker 2: but the audience was mesmerized by him and his girlfriend
- 32:12Speaker 2: and mother of his children, Rihanna, who's so lovely. We
- 32:15Speaker 2: just started the Super Bowl a couple of years ago.
- 32:18Speaker 2: That was a lot. And then his defense attorney said,
- 32:22Speaker 2: You know, ASAP, which is his he has a real name,
- 32:25Speaker 2: but ASAP doesn't didn't even want Rihanna here or his family.
- 32:31Speaker 2: He did. He would. But she he could not keep
- 32:33Speaker 2: her away. That's their love and support for each other, which,
- 32:36Speaker 2: of course, you know, you love that. But the same
- 32:39Speaker 2: thing when a mom is up for murder or mom
- 32:41Speaker 2: is up for a crime, they're like, she is a
- 32:43Speaker 2: mother who's going to watch these kids. So, yeah, of course,
- 32:46Speaker 2: you want to show them in the best light when
- 32:49Speaker 2: the jury goes to deliberate. And he was shown in
- 32:52Speaker 2: a great light. Also, he had so much going on.
- 32:54Speaker 2: He was not going to take the six-month deal for
- 32:56Speaker 2: something he didn't do, which in March, he's supposed to
- 33:00Speaker 2: headline this big music festival. In May, he's co-chair of
- 33:04Speaker 2: the Met Gala. And in June, he has a movie
- 33:08Speaker 2: coming out with Denzel Washington. But I think a lot
- 33:13Speaker 2: of people were kind of like, what is this even about? Like,
- 33:16Speaker 2: what was this trial even about? But that was the
- 33:18Speaker 2: big news that he got off. Now, Zach Bryan, country news.
- 33:23Speaker 2: Zach Bryan is the country musician that we talked about
- 33:27Speaker 2: who dated this girl, Brianna Chicken Fry, who's a big podcaster,
- 33:32Speaker 2: pretty girl, now in Sports Illustrated, social media thing. And
- 33:36Speaker 2: they broke up and she spilled the beans on her
- 33:39Speaker 2: podcast about what a dick he was and rude and
- 33:43Speaker 2: kind of a cheater and tried to be mean about
- 33:46Speaker 2: her outfits and things. Just Definitely put laid the law
- 33:50Speaker 2: for like why you probably shouldn't date him, though. I'm
- 33:52Speaker 2: sure he'll have no trouble getting another girlfriend. Well, last
- 33:55Speaker 2: night he was at a bar playing pool and he
- 33:59Speaker 2: supposedly a fight almost broke out because he lost the
- 34:05Speaker 2: round of pool. Now, there were these guys wearing the
- 34:08Speaker 2: meta Ray-Bans where you can film you wear the sunglasses.
- 34:13Speaker 2: They look completely normal and you can film stuff. And
- 34:15Speaker 2: that's how some of this got caught. He, at one point,
- 34:18Speaker 2: according to this TMZ, and his people were asking those
- 34:22Speaker 2: guys not to wear the glasses, not to film it.
- 34:24Speaker 2: And they're like, well, we're just filming our own thing.
- 34:26Speaker 2: But things got heated, and it was all captured on
- 34:32Speaker 2: the Ray-Ban metaglasses. And Zach and his crew ran into
- 34:35Speaker 2: the group around midnight. And after playing about three rounds
- 34:38Speaker 2: of pool, in which he lost, then things got real testy.
- 34:42Speaker 2: And then there's a gap in the video. But when
- 34:44Speaker 2: it picks up, things have escalated. One of the friends
- 34:46Speaker 2: of the Metaglass says, I'm not trying to record your ass.
- 34:50Speaker 2: I'm trying to record my shit with my friends for
- 34:52Speaker 2: memories to have fun. And you're just being a douche.
- 34:56Speaker 2: And then Zach responded, which is caught on the video,
- 34:59Speaker 2: which TMZ has. That's the gayest thing I've ever heard.
- 35:03Speaker 2: So anyway, he leaves. So it's really adding, you know,
- 35:06Speaker 2: to sounds just like kind of a nightmare. Now, a
- 35:10Speaker 2: lot of people go, I'm so confused, Heather. I don't
- 35:12Speaker 2: follow country music. What is the difference between Zach Bryan,
- 35:18Speaker 2: Zach Brown, and Luke Bryan? So I'm going to clarify, okay?
- 35:23Speaker 2: Zach Brown is Zach Brown Band. He's cute, has a beard, tats,
- 35:27Speaker 2: super successful. He is divorced from his wife who he
- 35:31Speaker 2: has kids with. Now he's also divorcing his second wife
- 35:35Speaker 2: who's a model, and it's somewhat contentious, okay? So he's
- 35:38Speaker 2: got some stink on him. Then we go to Luke Bryan.
- 35:44Speaker 2: He's 48, married to his first wife. He is clearly
- 35:49Speaker 2: the biggest delight of the three that share a similar name.
- 35:54Speaker 2: So I just want to clear that up. Okay. Wendy Williams.
- 35:58Speaker 2: My goodness. Okay. So, ugh. you know, being in New
- 36:02Speaker 2: York this weekend, it reminded me of so many times
- 36:04Speaker 2: when I got to do the Wendy Williams show and
- 36:07Speaker 2: it was always just so fun and great. And my
- 36:09Speaker 2: heart has just, I've talked a lot about what she's
- 36:13Speaker 2: gone through. Like it's scary. Um, you know, you really
- 36:18Speaker 2: have to make sure who is in charge of if
- 36:21Speaker 2: things go wrong for you, do you trust that person? Um,
- 36:26Speaker 2: So we saw her on her special, and she definitely
- 36:30Speaker 2: didn't seem well. We know she has Graves' disease. We
- 36:33Speaker 2: saw her ordering drinks when she shouldn't have been ordering
- 36:36Speaker 2: drinks and seeming out of it. Then we heard reports
- 36:41Speaker 2: she has dementia, which is accelerated because of her alcohol abuse.
- 36:48Speaker 2: Then all of a sudden she calls the breakfast club
- 36:51Speaker 2: from her facility. And that's a big radio show. And
- 36:55Speaker 2: she's like, I'm trapped. And she sounds completely like old Wendy,
- 36:59Speaker 2: like she's about to do her show that day. with
- 37:01Speaker 2: a lot of, you know what I'm saying? But that's
- 37:03Speaker 2: what she always says. She would always take her time.
- 37:04Speaker 2: She does hot, she would do hot topics like I'm
- 37:07Speaker 2: doing by herself and be able to just go and,
- 37:10Speaker 2: you know, and share her unfiltered opinion, take breaks and
- 37:15Speaker 2: pauses as she like put in a little, you know,
- 37:18Speaker 2: candy in her mouth. And that was her. That's what
- 37:20Speaker 2: she sounded like on. So people are like, wait a minute.
- 37:23Speaker 2: Why is she in like a nursing home? So then
- 37:26Speaker 2: TMZ goes out to do an interview and like their
- 37:29Speaker 2: own little documentary on it. And they're filming her from
- 37:32Speaker 2: inside of this nursing home on this level. And she's talking.
- 37:37Speaker 2: And you see as she's saying her words on the
- 37:40Speaker 2: phone in the documentary, we're seeing her up there. And
- 37:43Speaker 2: she's like, I'm with like 80, 90-year-olds. I've only been
- 37:45Speaker 2: outside twice in the last 30 days for fresh air.
- 37:50Speaker 2: I want to see my dad for his 94th birthday.
- 37:52Speaker 2: I want to go to Miami. I want to buy
- 37:54Speaker 2: him a gift. And now... The reports of the facility
- 37:59Speaker 2: said she was on a level that had more freedom
- 38:04Speaker 2: of going back and forth. However, somehow she got in
- 38:08Speaker 2: the elevator, allegedly, and went to the rooftop bar that's
- 38:13Speaker 2: part of this building and ordered drinks. So to protect
- 38:17Speaker 2: her from herself ordering her drinks, they put her on
- 38:19Speaker 2: a level that didn't have access to whatever, to the
- 38:23Speaker 2: elevator that could take her somewhere. And that's why she
- 38:26Speaker 2: ended up on this level of patients that were 80
- 38:29Speaker 2: and 90 and needed a lot more care than she did.
- 38:33Speaker 2: Since then, she has said, I believe that my son,
- 38:38Speaker 2: she only has one son who she adores. I think
- 38:41Speaker 2: he's maybe in his early 20s. I think he graduated
- 38:44Speaker 2: from college. He has mismanaged my money. Hey, she's a mom.
- 38:51Speaker 2: She's going to forgive him. He's her only son. She
- 38:54Speaker 2: loves him. So it was nice to hear that she
- 38:57Speaker 2: did leave that facility. She saw her dad for his
- 39:00Speaker 2: birthday and she spent time with her son. And now
- 39:03Speaker 2: her people are trying to now readjust this conservatorship, guardianship.
- 39:10Speaker 2: And I mean, it really seems like, you know, and
- 39:13Speaker 2: then there were people that they interviewed at the facility
- 39:15Speaker 2: that are caring for her and who said, She doesn't
- 39:18Speaker 2: have good days and bad days. She has consistent days,
- 39:22Speaker 2: which tells us that she is coherent, which is such
- 39:25Speaker 2: great news. And, you know, obviously her son, he's a
- 39:30Speaker 2: young guy. He was not the person that should have
- 39:32Speaker 2: been in charge of her money. I don't know who is,
- 39:36Speaker 2: you know. She was married to Kevin Sr., His dad,
- 39:41Speaker 2: all these years, she made him be, she allowed him
- 39:44Speaker 2: to be an EP of her show. She knew he
- 39:47Speaker 2: was cheating on her. And not until he got his
- 39:50Speaker 2: mistress pregnant did she finally say, I remember her being
- 39:53Speaker 2: on The View saying, that's when I had to know
- 39:55Speaker 2: I had to end it. Like, I can't have the
- 39:58Speaker 2: world know that I'm okay with my man having a
- 40:02Speaker 2: child with his mistress down the road for me. And
- 40:04Speaker 2: I think she knew that was going on for a
- 40:06Speaker 2: long time. But just for the sake of her child,
- 40:09Speaker 2: for the sake of her image, for the sake of
- 40:11Speaker 2: everything else, she put her feelings aside to just keep
- 40:14Speaker 2: this going. And then when this child was born, thank
- 40:17Speaker 2: God for the child, she got rid of him. But
- 40:20Speaker 2: in doing that, I think that adjustment, that switch to
- 40:24Speaker 2: this life was really so traumatic for her. And she
- 40:28Speaker 2: had admitted to having addiction issues in the past. I
- 40:33Speaker 2: think then the addiction came forward, the depression came. All
- 40:37Speaker 2: of it. And it's just so good to hear that,
- 40:41Speaker 2: you know, hopefully she is okay. I mean, when we
- 40:45Speaker 2: saw that documentary, I was just like, she's done. Like,
- 40:49Speaker 2: she will never do anything again. And now I feel
- 40:51Speaker 2: like people are very hopeful. She, you know, was going
- 40:55Speaker 2: to sue the documentary. Now maybe that's being put on hold.
- 40:57Speaker 2: So there's a lot going on there. But I feel
- 41:00Speaker 2: like this is all very good news. Meghan Markle. Well,
- 41:05Speaker 2: Meghan Markle has returned to social media and she was
- 41:09Speaker 2: supposed to have this show on Netflix called With Love.
- 41:13Speaker 2: And it's, you know, where she does crazy stuff like
- 41:17Speaker 2: put honey on ricotta cheese and just things that like
- 41:20Speaker 2: no one else has ever heard of or a little
- 41:23Speaker 2: extra olive oil on a hummus that you've got, you know,
- 41:27Speaker 2: at Trader Joe's or whatever and make it your own.
- 41:30Speaker 2: Put a couple of pine nuts on top and just,
- 41:32Speaker 2: you know, get wet. I don't know, like whatever. So
- 41:37Speaker 2: she has that show and it got postponed for a
- 41:39Speaker 2: couple months. There were a couple of theories of why.
- 41:43Speaker 2: Could it have been because she had all this press
- 41:46Speaker 2: that she's about to do for it and then the
- 41:48Speaker 2: LA fires happened? Remember Dorinda said on Watch What Happens
- 41:53Speaker 2: when he's like, the fires, I mean, it's just been horrible,
- 41:55Speaker 2: Annie Cohen said. And she's like- Yeah, all my press
- 41:59Speaker 2: for Traders was just canceled. And I was like, oh,
- 42:02Speaker 2: my God. You know, that's when you know it's serious.
- 42:06Speaker 2: And so did they decide collectively, let's just put this
- 42:11Speaker 2: off for a couple months. She also said, Netflix, I'm
- 42:14Speaker 2: in business with Netflix. So now she's doing Netflix. Which
- 42:18Speaker 2: it's like, oh, you know, like someone's like, you got
- 42:20Speaker 2: to be more authentic. So now she's doing her own
- 42:23Speaker 2: social media or there's probably four people there telling her
- 42:26Speaker 2: what to do. No, I can't film you. You have
- 42:28Speaker 2: to hold the phone up yourself. So you look and
- 42:31Speaker 2: don't have your hair a little frizzy, have no makeup,
- 42:34Speaker 2: but we'll have you in good light and just trying
- 42:37Speaker 2: to just be like, all right, you guys, I know
- 42:39Speaker 2: you've been waiting and I'm so excited. to finally tell
- 42:44Speaker 2: you what has been going on. I know you've been
- 42:46Speaker 2: asking what is going on. I had this whole business
- 42:50Speaker 2: ready to go, which was the American Orchard Jam Company. No,
- 42:55Speaker 2: American Riviera Orchard Jam Company. And turns out it's actually
- 43:02Speaker 2: a place that I live here in in Santa Barbara.
- 43:06Speaker 2: And in going forward with, if you guys have known
- 43:09Speaker 2: me for a long time, you know, I used to
- 43:11Speaker 2: have a blog called Tig, and it was all that
- 43:13Speaker 2: I loved to do, which is gardening and crafting and
- 43:17Speaker 2: cooking and being with friends and being creative. And I
- 43:23Speaker 2: felt that name really wasn't right because it was really
- 43:26Speaker 2: about a specific part. And I want to share food
- 43:29Speaker 2: and ideas from all different parts, not just this one
- 43:32Speaker 2: little area of Montecito. So I'm calling the new company
- 43:36Speaker 2: As Ever. And I'm like, as if, as ever. And
- 43:43Speaker 2: so it's like, we've got As Ever, we've got With
- 43:46Speaker 2: Love is the TV show. You know, we got the
- 43:53Speaker 2: What was the other thing? The Archer Foundation, the podcast
- 44:00Speaker 2: that went away, thank God. And so we're going to have,
- 44:05Speaker 2: you know, she and her celebrity friends laugh as they,
- 44:08Speaker 2: you know, make an avocado toast from scratch and, you know,
- 44:13Speaker 2: and add a little extra lemon zest to a shrimp cocktail.
- 44:17Speaker 2: I don't know what we're going to get with this.
- 44:20Speaker 3: But.
- 44:21Speaker 2: You know, and I'm sure little antidotes and at one
- 44:24Speaker 2: moment they'll have one kid run in, even though we
- 44:27Speaker 2: know it isn't being filmed at her home, which I
- 44:30Speaker 2: don't blame her for that. Why not go down the street,
- 44:32Speaker 2: keep the cameras, you know, we'll see. But, you know,
- 44:38Speaker 2: she is attractive. She is pretty. And she knows how
- 44:42Speaker 2: to wear like a nice white Oxford blouse and just
- 44:45Speaker 2: look like simple, you know, just simple, just breezy, just, hmm.
- 44:50Speaker 2: This is the berry I really didn't even know existed.
- 44:53Speaker 2: It's a boysenberry. And I feel like the boysenberries don't
- 44:57Speaker 2: really get the star that they should have. And what
- 45:00Speaker 2: I do, and a lot of people have never thought
- 45:02Speaker 2: of that, I actually cut the boysenberry in half, you know,
- 45:04Speaker 2: so that you can spread it around the pancake mix.
- 45:08Speaker 2: And it's not just this big chunk inside of it
- 45:10Speaker 2: that then the pancake does it. I don't know, okay?
- 45:13Speaker 2: You know what? I'm starting a cooking show, so I
- 45:15Speaker 2: shouldn't rip on it. Just wait and see, people. You
- 45:18Speaker 2: never know. If you've watched me for a long time,
- 45:21Speaker 2: you know I like to make pancakes, you guys. Okay.
- 45:25Speaker 2: Britney Spears was seen on Valentine's Day with her boyfriend
- 45:30Speaker 2: slash landscaper slash father of nine. This guy, Paul, he
- 45:38Speaker 2: came into play. They've been on and off for a
- 45:41Speaker 2: while since she got divorced from Sam. And... So it
- 45:47Speaker 2: was Valentine's Day and someone got a photo of her
- 45:50Speaker 2: in the car and it was a side photo and
- 45:53Speaker 2: she's wearing a little necklace and it wasn't like the greatest,
- 45:55Speaker 2: most flattering photo. So she has since been putting out
- 45:59Speaker 2: a lot of video of her dancing and the most
- 46:02Speaker 2: tiny outfits slapping her ass. And then with a long explanation,
- 46:06Speaker 2: but no place to leave a comment where she was like,
- 46:08Speaker 2: it was Valentine's Day and I was with the kids.
- 46:11Speaker 2: And first I was like, your kids are like 18
- 46:13Speaker 2: and 20. No, she meant his kids, but he only
- 46:16Speaker 2: has partial custody of three of them, of the nine.
- 46:21Speaker 2: And she was picking them up and they were doing
- 46:23Speaker 2: fun things. And then somebody got this very unflattering photo
- 46:26Speaker 2: of me and, you know, that really pissed me off.
- 46:28Speaker 2: So now I'm going to Mexico and then I'm going
- 46:30Speaker 2: to New York. And it was very, it's, it's, it's strange,
- 46:34Speaker 2: but I haven't done an update on her in a while.
- 46:37Speaker 2: And I thought it was kind of crazy, very sexy shit.
- 46:41Speaker 2: As she's talking about– and also when she's dancing in
- 46:43Speaker 2: these sexy– super sexy outfits with the underwear like just
- 46:47Speaker 2: above the top– I mean so low, like just like
- 46:52Speaker 2: you're seeing it all. Anyway, it was like– the thing
- 46:57Speaker 2: was so weird because it was like talking about the kids.
- 46:59Speaker 2: Like I was with the kids today on Valentine's Day
- 47:01Speaker 2: and I'm like, wait, what? And then I read the
- 47:04Speaker 2: whole– at first I thought it was very chaotic and
- 47:05Speaker 2: I was like, no, this was her saying– Oh, my God,
- 47:08Speaker 2: I noticed this person staring at us. And now I
- 47:10Speaker 2: realize he was taking an unflattering photo of me in
- 47:12Speaker 2: a car. Like, what a dick, whatever. I hate this.
- 47:16Speaker 2: And so, you know, in like in light of the
- 47:20Speaker 2: Wendy Williams, like, will we ever kind of see her
- 47:23Speaker 2: being a little more comfortable and actually being like, this
- 47:26Speaker 2: is what I want to do. But right now, I
- 47:28Speaker 2: think she likes just being with this guy. And who knows? Okay.
- 47:34Speaker 3: Okay.
- 47:35Speaker 2: So Selena Gomez for Valentine's Day, her guy, Benny Blanco,
- 47:41Speaker 2: made an entire bathtub of nacho cheese and little and
- 47:46Speaker 2: like filmed it, you know, put it on social media.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Everyone's like, oh, my God, because he's like, you know,
- 47:50Speaker 2: when your fiance is not a rosy kind of roses
- 47:53Speaker 2: kind of girl. So then she could, you know. And
- 47:57Speaker 2: then people are like, oh, my God, what about the
- 47:58Speaker 2: assistant that has to clean up that nacho? Who cares?
- 48:02Speaker 2: You know what I mean? This is what he wanted
- 48:03Speaker 2: to do. Social media is a big thing. They got
- 48:07Speaker 2: to have a bathtub full of nachos. It was fun
- 48:09Speaker 2: and cute. And then somebody came with buckets and filled
- 48:13Speaker 2: it up and threw it away. And it really wasn't
- 48:14Speaker 2: that big of a deal. So there you go. She
- 48:18Speaker 2: wore a very odd dress to the BAFTAs, Selena Gomez.
- 48:22Speaker 2: It literally looks... Like she put on one black off-the-shoulder
- 48:27Speaker 2: dress and then was like, I don't really like this one.
- 48:30Speaker 2: Let me put my other choice on top of it.
- 48:34Speaker 2: And then was like, wait, let me just push it down.
- 48:36Speaker 2: I kind of like this. And then whoever she was with,
- 48:38Speaker 2: the same person that thought it was a good idea
- 48:40Speaker 2: to fill the bathtub with nacho cheese, is like, no,
- 48:44Speaker 2: it looks great. It really, really looks great. Like this
- 48:47Speaker 2: does not look great. This is awful.
- 48:51Speaker 1: Ugh.
- 48:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 48:53Speaker 2: Then Zoe Saldana got the BAFTA for Amelia Perez, who,
- 48:59Speaker 2: by the way, the woman playing Amelia Perez, the transgender
- 49:02Speaker 2: actress who wrote all the horrible tweets just five years ago,
- 49:07Speaker 2: was not there. We know that Netflix is not paying
- 49:12Speaker 2: her way, her hair, makeup, her transportation. From what I read,
- 49:19Speaker 2: she was not there. And when they showed a photo
- 49:22Speaker 2: of her as one of the nominees, she did not win.
- 49:25Speaker 2: It was like very, very quiet, like not like a
- 49:28Speaker 2: woohoo or anything like that. But she won. Zoe won.
- 49:33Speaker 2: And she started out thanking her makeup artist. the kindest,
- 49:39Speaker 2: most wonderful person I know, my makeup artist. And, you know,
- 49:44Speaker 2: those makeup artists, they do a lot for us, but
- 49:47Speaker 2: they also tell on you. So she probably was like,
- 49:50Speaker 2: in light of the Blake Lively stuff, I'm going to
- 49:52Speaker 2: thank someone who knows a lot of shit. And thank you. Okay.
- 49:59Speaker 2: We know that Kanye and Bianca have both talked to
- 50:04Speaker 2: defense attorneys to get divorced. So, you know, Oh, they said, oh, finally,
- 50:11Speaker 2: she had it. It wasn't her being forced for him saying,
- 50:15Speaker 2: let's make a scene and her being naked, basically naked
- 50:19Speaker 2: at the Grammy red carpet. It wasn't all the other
- 50:22Speaker 2: crazy shit he's done. It was the T-shirt with the,
- 50:27Speaker 2: you know, Nazi symbol on it. And that was her
- 50:30Speaker 2: final straw. Well, he was, I looked back, I'm like,
- 50:32Speaker 2: he was saying, crazy anti-Semitic stuff when they were together before.
- 50:37Speaker 2: So I don't know. Did you just see Schindler's List
- 50:39Speaker 2: and was like, you know what? I think it is
- 50:42Speaker 2: kind of mean. What the fuck? So I'm not like, oh,
- 50:46Speaker 2: good for you. I'm like, But they don't have a prenup.
- 50:49Speaker 2: Thank God she's leaving. I hope she gets a lot
- 50:52Speaker 2: of money. I think she's truly pissed about the $ 8
- 50:54Speaker 2: million that he spent to have the commercial during the
- 50:58Speaker 2: Super Bowl to then advertise Yeezy.com. And then when you
- 51:02Speaker 2: went there, that was the only thing. Luckily, Shopify took
- 51:06Speaker 2: it down. And now everyone collectively, I think, knows that
- 51:13Speaker 2: he's a piece of shit. Will he come back? Fuck,
- 51:17Speaker 2: I hope not. I don't know what Kim is expected
- 51:22Speaker 2: to do, but she's just like, I'm moving on. I'm
- 51:25Speaker 2: doing Skim's Nike collab. I'm going to the SNL party,
- 51:29Speaker 2: as she should. But I just really feel for her
- 51:35Speaker 2: because I don't think there's a worse person to have
- 51:36Speaker 2: to co-parent with than Kanye West. All the money in
- 51:40Speaker 2: the world. I mean, I mean, maybe there's worse people,
- 51:43Speaker 2: but very, very difficult. I can imagine to just be like, OK, and,
- 51:49Speaker 2: you know, and it's like Scott Disick is is Jewish.
- 51:54Speaker 2: So the cousins are Jewish. Like it is for the for,
- 51:58Speaker 2: you know. Kanye and Kim's kids, it's just a big nightmare.
- 52:02Speaker 2: I don't know what his deal is. But now there's
- 52:07Speaker 2: allegedly some sex tape of Kanye from like 15 years
- 52:11Speaker 2: ago going around that is going to complicate things. Like,
- 52:16Speaker 2: I don't know who he's with, what he's with, but
- 52:20Speaker 2: there's this guy's like, hey, this Jew remembers that I
- 52:26Speaker 2: made that sex tape go away, this fixer guy. So
- 52:29Speaker 2: he's like threatening, like, we don't care. Like, that's the
- 52:32Speaker 2: least of Kanye's worries. Like, unless it's not with someone
- 52:36Speaker 2: of age and it doesn't seem consensual, if it's just
- 52:39Speaker 2: some chick or some guy even, Who cares? Like that
- 52:44Speaker 2: doesn't matter to us. Like he is so awful for
- 52:47Speaker 2: what he has done in the last year, but especially
- 52:52Speaker 2: the last two weeks. I don't care about that. So
- 52:55Speaker 2: let's see what happens with her. Let's see how much
- 52:57Speaker 2: money she gets, being that there's not a prenup, being
- 53:00Speaker 2: that at one point I thought she had like, you know,
- 53:02Speaker 2: power of attorney, not that that would matter. Is he
- 53:06Speaker 2: another one that's going to realize that he's insane and
- 53:10Speaker 2: then come out of it and be okay? I don't know.
- 53:12Speaker 2: I hope so. Talking about Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
- 53:17Speaker 2: This is from Life and Style. And Jennifer Tilly, who's
- 53:22Speaker 2: an actress, this is her first season. And last night's episode,
- 53:27Speaker 2: I don't even think she was in it. She is very,
- 53:30Speaker 2: very rich. from her ex-husband who then passed away, created
- 53:36Speaker 2: the Simpsons. And they had a friendly divorce and she
- 53:40Speaker 2: got a portion of the Simpsons. So she makes money forever,
- 53:44Speaker 2: not just like, oh, we got divorced. Here's your big
- 53:46Speaker 2: chunk or, you know, whatever. So she has a ton
- 53:50Speaker 2: of money and has a nice boyfriend that they are
- 53:52Speaker 2: both like professional poker players. And she's got a fun
- 53:56Speaker 2: voice and she's like pops in. But there really isn't
- 54:00Speaker 2: a lot of juice to her life. There isn't. But
- 54:03Speaker 2: at least she's an actress or whatever and she's funny.
- 54:06Speaker 2: But we don't really see like anything that juicy about
- 54:10Speaker 2: her life. We haven't met the boyfriend. She doesn't have
- 54:12Speaker 2: any kids. She just shows off like, you know, some $ 100, 000
- 54:18Speaker 2: purse or whatever. And so according to this article, cast
- 54:25Speaker 2: is ready to say good riddance to Jennifer Tilly. The
- 54:28Speaker 2: ladies can't stand her. So they're saying she's the least
- 54:31Speaker 2: popular in the group and they've been giving her the
- 54:35Speaker 2: cold shoulder except for Sutton. Well, I don't know. I
- 54:40Speaker 2: think she'll come back for another season unless she chooses like,
- 54:44Speaker 2: you know what? It was fun, but it did nothing
- 54:45Speaker 2: for me. I don't need the money and I don't care.
- 54:47Speaker 2: And if I get any shit or meanness from anybody,
- 54:50Speaker 2: then I'm definitely not sticking around. And there is no criticism.
- 54:54Speaker 2: There is. I have no criticism for it. There's nothing
- 54:57Speaker 2: wrong with her. When she's in the scene, she's delightful.
- 55:00Speaker 2: She's normal. She's funny. But as a producer, I would
- 55:05Speaker 2: be like, hmm, let's keep her another season and see
- 55:08Speaker 2: what happens if she wants to do it. But if
- 55:11Speaker 2: she quits, we're not like heartbroken because there was no
- 55:14Speaker 2: like interesting, juicy thing about it. Sutton and Dorit really
- 55:20Speaker 2: went at it last night. in Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.
- 55:24Speaker 2: So we know Dorit and PK are separated and she
- 55:27Speaker 2: has this big barbecue party and, you know, she's got
- 55:32Speaker 2: all her designer clothes on and all the people working
- 55:36Speaker 2: the barbecue, like 10 people working this big party. And
- 55:41Speaker 2: everyone comes over for 4th of July. And it really
- 55:45Speaker 2: was kind of a boring episode, to be honest. But
- 55:48Speaker 2: she says, so then... So they're sitting there and Garcelle,
- 55:53Speaker 2: who is the closest to Sutton, says, what are you drinking?
- 55:57Speaker 2: And Sutton says, oh, I got one of those watermelon drinks.
- 56:02Speaker 2: And Garcelle goes, does it have alcohol in it? And
- 56:04Speaker 2: before she can say anything, Sutton says, Dorit says, you're
- 56:08Speaker 2: asking Sutton if her drink has alcohol in it. When
- 56:12Speaker 2: has it not? And then Sutton goes, you're such a bitch, Dorit.
- 56:16Speaker 2: You're just a, you're just. And she goes. How dare
- 56:18Speaker 2: you call me a bitch in my own home? And
- 56:22Speaker 2: she's like, you know what? You know what, Dorit? I
- 56:25Speaker 2: don't know why you said that during the reunion last year.
- 56:27Speaker 2: You tried to insinuate that I had an alcohol problem
- 56:30Speaker 2: when it is very clear that I don't have an
- 56:32Speaker 2: alcohol problem. Just because I like vodka in drinks when
- 56:37Speaker 2: we are filming because you are all assholes. I'm just
- 56:40Speaker 2: adding to it. But so that's where it stems. So
- 56:44Speaker 2: Sutton still feels that Dorit put out something for the
- 56:49Speaker 2: fans to think about is Sutton an alcoholic. And she's
- 56:53Speaker 2: had moments where she's kind of sounds like kind of
- 56:56Speaker 2: a mean middle-aged drunk Southern woman when her name them,
- 57:01Speaker 2: name them, name them moments. But if you ask me, no,
- 57:06Speaker 2: I don't think she's what you would consider textbook alcoholic.
- 57:10Speaker 2: I don't think she, if she had to, you know,
- 57:13Speaker 2: not drink for seven days before getting a procedure, I
- 57:17Speaker 2: think she could easily do that. I think when there's
- 57:21Speaker 2: a social situation, yeah, she wants a vodka with her, whatever,
- 57:25Speaker 2: Seabreeze drink or whatever she wants. She wants to take
- 57:29Speaker 2: the edge off. She likes the taste of it. It's
- 57:30Speaker 2: a sunny day. It's 4th of July. And maybe– I
- 57:35Speaker 2: think a lot of these women do drink because they're
- 57:37Speaker 2: not regular actresses. And if they're supposed to be real,
- 57:41Speaker 2: if they're at a 4th of July party, they would
- 57:43Speaker 2: go to the bar and get an alcoholic drink. I would.
- 57:46Speaker 2: I would. But I wouldn't have that drink before I
- 57:49Speaker 2: go do stand-up because I wouldn't drink before my podcast.
- 57:53Speaker 2: But if– I've never been on TV before and they're like,
- 57:55Speaker 2: be yourself– And yourself is someone who has several drinks
- 58:02Speaker 2: a week in social settings. Is it good for you
- 58:06Speaker 2: after a certain age? No. Should we all cut back
- 58:09Speaker 2: a little bit? Yeah. But she's right. Just because you
- 58:15Speaker 2: drink vodka all the time too. And your husband probably
- 58:20Speaker 2: was like, that's probably why he might have been pissed too.
- 58:23Speaker 2: Maybe he felt you... You know, I don't know because
- 58:26Speaker 2: she says he's an alcoholic. But, you know, she's always
- 58:29Speaker 2: being like, I'll have Belvedere, square cubes, three lemons, carcass out.
- 58:36Speaker 2: I mean she drinks that all the time. I feel
- 58:40Speaker 2: like she's a little bit like a Lisa Vanner pump
- 58:42Speaker 2: that always kept it in check though. Like I've never
- 58:46Speaker 2: seen Dorit drunk ever on the show. I've never really
- 58:50Speaker 2: seen her slur her words. I think she really keeps
- 58:54Speaker 2: it together and it's very easy for her to keep
- 58:56Speaker 2: it together. And because she has that sterling record of
- 58:59Speaker 2: being a social drinker that never has more than two
- 59:02Speaker 2: drinks on an occasion, then she can be judgy. And
- 59:05Speaker 2: she's pissed at Sutton because Sutton cut her off, flasked. episode,
- 59:10Speaker 2: which she was like talking to the girls right before
- 59:13Speaker 2: they go and drive, you know, an hour and a
- 59:15Speaker 2: half to Oxnard to see Garcelle. Dorit goes, well, actually,
- 59:20Speaker 2: Jagger said, mommy, are you and daddy getting divorced? And
- 59:23Speaker 2: everyone's like, oh. And I said to him, I'm like, no,
- 59:26Speaker 2: Daddy and I will always be a family. But right
- 59:29Speaker 2: now we're just– and then Sutton just immediately interrupted and goes, so,
- 59:33Speaker 2: you know, Oxnard is kind of far to get to.
- 59:36Speaker 2: And I know that Garcelle is waiting for us. So
- 59:39Speaker 2: let's wrap it up, get in the car. So she
- 59:41Speaker 2: was just like, what is the deal? And they've kind
- 59:43Speaker 2: of been going after each other for a while. So
- 59:46Speaker 2: that's what last night's show was about, was the fight
- 59:49Speaker 2: between the two of them. And then Bo's– I'm going
- 59:53Speaker 2: to say it. I don't believe that this new girl, Boze,
- 59:58Speaker 2: ever truly considered having a child with this boyfriend. That's
- 1:00:04Speaker 2: what I'm saying as someone viewing it. Do I know
- 1:00:06Speaker 2: the truth? No, only she knows the truth. But she
- 1:00:10Speaker 2: goes on. She's 48 years old. She has fibroids that
- 1:00:14Speaker 2: she had to get removed. She has one daughter who's
- 1:00:18Speaker 2: almost out of the house. She reveals last night to
- 1:00:21Speaker 2: her cousin that that her first pregnancy was very, very difficult,
- 1:00:27Speaker 2: and she lost the child late in the pregnancy, which
- 1:00:30Speaker 2: was extremely traumatic. Then she had her daughter successfully, the
- 1:00:34Speaker 2: one from 16 years ago. And now, 16 years later,
- 1:00:37Speaker 2: this guy that she's not been dating that long, who
- 1:00:40Speaker 2: she doesn't say I love to, but agrees to appear
- 1:00:43Speaker 2: on the show, and her whole storyline... Every conversation is,
- 1:00:47Speaker 2: do I want to have this baby? Should I have
- 1:00:49Speaker 2: this baby? I have to carry this baby. And then
- 1:00:52Speaker 2: last night, as we're ending the season, she says to
- 1:00:54Speaker 2: her cousin, well, now I don't know if he's just
- 1:00:59Speaker 2: placating me saying he wants a baby. And I think
- 1:01:02Speaker 2: both of us are scared to say maybe it's not
- 1:01:04Speaker 2: a great idea. I was like, look, I like her
- 1:01:09Speaker 2: as a cast member. I think she's interesting. I think
- 1:01:11Speaker 2: she's an accomplished woman. She's adding to it. She's a
- 1:01:16Speaker 2: best friend to Dorit. But I call BS on this story,
- 1:01:21Speaker 2: and you can come at me. I think she was like, well,
- 1:01:25Speaker 2: this is something I considered. I can make a bigger
- 1:01:27Speaker 2: deal out of it. This gives me my own storyline.
- 1:01:30Speaker 2: Because I think she's smart. She's a marketing executive. So
- 1:01:35Speaker 2: anybody coming onto the show... Someone like her didn't just go, oh,
- 1:01:39Speaker 2: I never watched the show. No, she watched the show.
- 1:01:41Speaker 2: She looked at it. She wanted to be on it.
- 1:01:44Speaker 2: She has big posters of herself framed. Okay, that's fine. She,
- 1:01:49Speaker 2: you know, thinks very high. Even her tagline is, you know,
- 1:01:53Speaker 2: and by the way, I'm not talking about Jennifer Tilly.
- 1:01:55Speaker 2: I'm talking about Bose, okay? But I don't have a
- 1:01:58Speaker 2: photo of her right now. But anyway, she says, the
- 1:02:02Speaker 2: greatest thing I ever marketed is myself, which is fine.
- 1:02:06Speaker 2: These are supposed to be conceited lines, these taglines. Anyway,
- 1:02:10Speaker 2: that's what I think. I think she studied it, knew
- 1:02:12Speaker 2: she had a storyline, and it can't just be her
- 1:02:14Speaker 2: commenting on other people's lives. It has to be something
- 1:02:17Speaker 2: interesting about her own. So she has a romance with
- 1:02:20Speaker 2: this guy, and they talk about having a baby. It
- 1:02:23Speaker 2: doesn't make sense. I don't believe it. It's never going
- 1:02:25Speaker 2: to happen. Mauricio, Kyle's husband, he went skiing and broke
- 1:02:30Speaker 2: his clavicle and now has to have all these screws
- 1:02:33Speaker 2: and plates in it. Horrible.
- 1:02:35Speaker 1: Horrible.
- 1:02:36Speaker 2: Also, sad medical news, Teddy, former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills,
- 1:02:42Speaker 2: she came forward a few days ago saying that she,
- 1:02:46Speaker 2: you know, had to go to the hospital and have
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: these tumors in her brain removed. Her husband is by
- 1:02:53Speaker 2: her side, Edwin. So is Kyle. And Morgan Wade was there. And,
- 1:03:01Speaker 2: you know, Tamara... judge has been there. And it's just very, very,
- 1:03:05Speaker 2: very sad. And the community has really supported her. And
- 1:03:10Speaker 2: we're just all praying. Very scary. And I hope that
- 1:03:12Speaker 2: they get it all and that she recovers. So now
- 1:03:15Speaker 2: let's get into some juicy crimes. And a couple of
- 1:03:17Speaker 2: things that I've talked about in the past that you'll remember.
- 1:03:21Speaker 2: The story of Gabby Petito. This was the beautiful blonde
- 1:03:24Speaker 2: girl that we were riveted by. Where is she? She
- 1:03:29Speaker 2: went missing while she had started the van life trying
- 1:03:33Speaker 2: to be a blogger with her boyfriend, Brian, who looked
- 1:03:38Speaker 2: a lot older than she, but he was just one
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: of those guys that lost his hair quite young. But
- 1:03:44Speaker 2: he was in his 20s. She was 22. I think
- 1:03:47Speaker 2: he was like 25. And they were a couple. And
- 1:03:53Speaker 2: she was working at Taco Bell and decided, I really
- 1:03:56Speaker 2: want to be like a vacation vlogger, blogger type of person.
- 1:04:01Speaker 2: Have my own YouTube channel. And I really don't know
- 1:04:04Speaker 2: what he did. And I'm watching now a documentary about
- 1:04:08Speaker 2: it on Netflix that you can watch now too. But
- 1:04:10Speaker 2: when this went down, it was all about where is she?
- 1:04:14Speaker 2: And so many internet sleuths and TikTokers and people were
- 1:04:19Speaker 2: fascinated by the story because the mom and dad, her
- 1:04:25Speaker 2: parents were divorced, but they got along and they each
- 1:04:28Speaker 2: had another spouse. So she had four parents and they
- 1:04:30Speaker 2: were No one had heard from her for like 10 days.
- 1:04:33Speaker 2: None of her friends had heard from her and she
- 1:04:35Speaker 2: hadn't posted or anything. So they thought that was very,
- 1:04:39Speaker 2: very strange. And they're calling his parents and texting his
- 1:04:44Speaker 2: parents being like, have you heard from the kids, Brian
- 1:04:47Speaker 2: and Gabby? We haven't heard. It's been a few days.
- 1:04:49Speaker 2: It's been now six days, seven days. And the parents
- 1:04:52Speaker 2: were not ever writing them back or calling them back.
- 1:04:55Speaker 2: And this was very weird because at one time Gabby
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: even lived with the parents. So what's great about the
- 1:05:00Speaker 2: documentary is they got her phone and we see times
- 1:05:07Speaker 2: when they're trying to film, when she's trying to film
- 1:05:10Speaker 2: little bits and pieces to put together her YouTube van life,
- 1:05:15Speaker 2: you know, vlogging page. And you see her getting annoyed
- 1:05:21Speaker 2: with him and you see her being like, if you
- 1:05:25Speaker 2: knew how to edit, this wouldn't be so hard. Hold on.
- 1:05:30Speaker 2: So that's what the documentary shows. If you don't recall
- 1:05:36Speaker 2: what happened, you know, it ended in her death. And,
- 1:05:40Speaker 2: but it's all that, what's interesting about it is you
- 1:05:47Speaker 2: feel so badly for the people that were close to her.
- 1:05:51Speaker 2: You know, your kid is 22 and she has this
- 1:05:55Speaker 2: boyfriend who appears to be nice. There's no signs to anything.
- 1:06:00Speaker 2: And she's 22 and she's independent and she didn't go
- 1:06:03Speaker 2: to college. She didn't want to go to college. But she's,
- 1:06:07Speaker 2: you know, doing well in life. She's a total delight.
- 1:06:10Speaker 2: She loves working at her Taco Bell. She's saving the money.
- 1:06:14Speaker 2: She owns the van. The van is registered to her.
- 1:06:17Speaker 2: The boyfriend asked her to marry him, but she doesn't
- 1:06:20Speaker 2: have a ring. And then they're like, well, we're going
- 1:06:22Speaker 2: to put off marriage and babies. We're going to really
- 1:06:25Speaker 2: see if we can make this van life work, live
- 1:06:28Speaker 2: in this little tiny van and document it and make
- 1:06:31Speaker 2: money as a content creator. And, you know, there just
- 1:06:38Speaker 2: there was only like one little like only a couple
- 1:06:41Speaker 2: little incidences that made her best friend and her mom
- 1:06:45Speaker 2: be like, are you sure you want to do this?
- 1:06:49Speaker 2: And in the end, you know, she was left out
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: there with this guy who ended her life. And then
- 1:06:58Speaker 2: the parents covered up for him. And I want you
- 1:07:02Speaker 2: guys to watch it and then we'll explore it more
- 1:07:05Speaker 2: after everybody's watched the whole thing. But I just felt
- 1:07:08Speaker 2: like this is a great show for everybody to watch
- 1:07:12Speaker 2: with their young teenager to just, have people see this
- 1:07:19Speaker 2: with it because it's really intriguing to watch them go
- 1:07:23Speaker 2: through their phones and stuff, which we didn't see when
- 1:07:25Speaker 2: she was missing. We didn't have access to her phone.
- 1:07:27Speaker 2: So when people say there's no, his parents said there's
- 1:07:30Speaker 2: no surprises in this thing. Yeah, there are. There's a
- 1:07:32Speaker 2: lot of surprises. There are a lot of things that
- 1:07:35Speaker 2: just make you think everyone should see this because people
- 1:07:41Speaker 2: should be aware whether they're in this relationship or not
- 1:07:43Speaker 2: or their child, especially when you have a young adult
- 1:07:47Speaker 2: sometimes you have to be like, no, I don't think
- 1:07:50Speaker 2: this person's right for you. I am going to come
- 1:07:52Speaker 2: get you, you know, and put your foot down if
- 1:07:56Speaker 2: you ever think your child might be in danger or
- 1:07:59Speaker 2: just not in a healthy relationship. But as a parent
- 1:08:02Speaker 2: who now has young adult kids, I understand why they thought, okay,
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: you know, she's all right. No one could have prevented it.
- 1:08:12Speaker 2: You It's a very, it's like gives you chills. So
- 1:08:20Speaker 2: Mindy Kaling got a star on the Walk of Fame. And,
- 1:08:26Speaker 2: you know, you know her from The Office, The Mindy
- 1:08:28Speaker 2: Kaling Project. She's also the writer and producer of College Girls,
- 1:08:34Speaker 2: Secret Life of College Girls. And mostly she's had an
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: incredible glow up since her time on The Office 10
- 1:08:41Speaker 2: years ago. She looks stunning. She's given birth to two
- 1:08:47Speaker 2: kids as a single mother. And people have always wondered
- 1:08:52Speaker 2: if BJ Novak, who was also on The Office, and
- 1:08:55Speaker 2: I think at one time they did have a brief relationship,
- 1:08:58Speaker 2: if he is the secret father of her. her kids.
- 1:09:00Speaker 2: That's the juicy part of it. Well, he presented her
- 1:09:04Speaker 2: with the Walk of Fame, spoke about it, gave a
- 1:09:06Speaker 2: great speech to her. He is the godfather of her
- 1:09:09Speaker 2: two kids. And then I was like, is he the dad?
- 1:09:13Speaker 2: Nobody really knows. And so people, she doesn't feature her
- 1:09:18Speaker 2: children on social media. So people were like seeing photos
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: of like the kids of the back of their head.
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: And if they have the same shape of the head
- 1:09:25Speaker 2: of BJ Novak, my personal opinion is no, I don't
- 1:09:29Speaker 2: think he's the dad. I think that much like Lala Kent,
- 1:09:34Speaker 2: a lot of other women, she was at a place
- 1:09:37Speaker 2: where she wasn't in a place to get married or
- 1:09:41Speaker 2: have a child with someone. And smart enough, to know
- 1:09:45Speaker 2: that she wants to be a mom and she wants
- 1:09:47Speaker 2: to be a mom, you know, and give birth and
- 1:09:50Speaker 2: be able to carry her own children, which really is
- 1:09:52Speaker 2: reserved for women, most women under 40, okay? So I
- 1:09:57Speaker 2: think that she got, you know, a sperm donor, probably
- 1:10:01Speaker 2: bought the whole lot so that nobody else has half
- 1:10:04Speaker 2: siblings of her kids, but kept a great friendship with him.
- 1:10:08Speaker 2: I think, why would you want, like, When you can
- 1:10:15Speaker 2: literally go and find the perfect guy that maybe you
- 1:10:19Speaker 2: find someone that's funny and is an artist and is
- 1:10:22Speaker 2: a certain height, has all the healthy genes and also
- 1:10:26Speaker 2: great in science, whatever. That's who I think the dad is.
- 1:10:30Speaker 2: But I love that people think this. And I just
- 1:10:33Speaker 2: think they truly have a good friendship. And he is
- 1:10:37Speaker 2: the godfather because she wants a male figure around for
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: her kids. But What also is interesting is I hadn't
- 1:10:44Speaker 2: seen him in a while. He still looks great, but
- 1:10:47Speaker 2: he looks so much older than when he was on
- 1:10:50Speaker 2: The Office because I don't think he's had anything done.
- 1:10:54Speaker 2: Not that she's had a ton, but with her fitness
- 1:10:58Speaker 2: journey and I think she's definitely had some plastic surgery.
- 1:11:04Speaker 2: But her style and everything, she looks absolutely stunning. She
- 1:11:06Speaker 2: looks younger than when she was– I mean she looks
- 1:11:08Speaker 2: so much better than when she was on The Office.
- 1:11:10Speaker 2: And she has every right to be. But it was
- 1:11:12Speaker 2: just kind of interesting to see. And I remember that
- 1:11:16Speaker 2: totally happened at like our high school reunions, especially at
- 1:11:19Speaker 2: the 20-year. And at the 30-year, it was like– the
- 1:11:26Speaker 2: 20-year is when girls are– you're 38, right?
- 1:11:28Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:11:30Speaker 2: Girls are getting the Botox. They are coloring the hair
- 1:11:33Speaker 2: and everything. And the guys are like letting that gray
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: come in or they've lost the hair or they've gained
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: some weight and then go to the 30 year end.
- 1:11:41Speaker 2: It's crazy, especially where we live, how much better the
- 1:11:45Speaker 2: women look than the guys. It's almost like, it's almost
- 1:11:50Speaker 2: like this twilight zone where the old twilight zone where this,
- 1:11:55Speaker 2: This guy was interviewing this old movie star and she
- 1:11:57Speaker 2: had this like decrepit butler like come and like serving her.
- 1:12:01Speaker 2: And it turned out that he was like her first
- 1:12:03Speaker 2: husband and she was just getting all this plastic surgery
- 1:12:05Speaker 2: and like she looks so much younger than him. Anyway,
- 1:12:09Speaker 2: just thought that was fun. But congrats to her. She
- 1:12:11Speaker 2: certainly deserves that. And no, I don't think he's the dad.
- 1:12:14Speaker 2: White Lotus has begun. I am excited to watch it.
- 1:12:18Speaker 2: So start watching it because I definitely want to cover
- 1:12:20Speaker 2: it and talk about it on the show. And Pat
- 1:12:23Speaker 2: Patrick Schwarzenegger is on it. And apparently he does free
- 1:12:26Speaker 2: full frontal. And, um, this is Arnold and Maria's son.
- 1:12:31Speaker 2: And a lot of people are talking about it. And, um,
- 1:12:35Speaker 2: I kind of want to see what goes on with it. And,
- 1:12:38Speaker 2: you know, talk about working the secret. I don't know
- 1:12:40Speaker 2: how this happened, but he said in an interview that
- 1:12:43Speaker 2: he and his family would get together and watch White
