- 0:22Speaker 1: to me empty And I said, no guests, you're o
- 0:28Speaker 1: presences presents enough.
- 0:31Speaker 2: I already had too much stuff, So how.
- 0:36Speaker 1: Did you dare to surbey me?
- 0:48Speaker 3: Welcome to I said, no gifts, I'm pretcher Winneker. We
- 0:54Speaker 3: are here. I forgot to eat lunch, and I'm looking
- 0:58Speaker 3: for someone to blame. It is past my lunch hour.
- 1:03Speaker 3: My blood sugar is falling rapidly, but I had a
- 1:05Speaker 3: little cheese, so that'll kind of carry me through. I
- 1:12Speaker 3: had a thought on the way here that I wanted
- 1:13Speaker 3: to say on the podcast, and I forgot what it was.
- 1:18Speaker 3: I guess that's just another incredible thought you've been robbed
- 1:21Speaker 3: of I did the other night. I've gotten back into
- 1:26Speaker 3: house Hunters. This is what I'm going to say. Gay
- 1:29Speaker 3: people should not be allowed on house Hunters.
- 1:32Speaker 4: I don't want to see gay people anywhere on house Hunters.
- 1:35Speaker 3: It doesn't work. I don't think homosexuals should be allowed
- 1:40Speaker 3: to shop for homes on TV. It's not There's something
- 1:43Speaker 3: about it that just doesn't click for me. So let's
- 1:46Speaker 3: stop that.
- 1:49Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 1:49Speaker 3: I think that's about I got a big new bottle
- 1:52Speaker 3: of vitamins. I'm sure taking them is going to change nothing,
- 1:56Speaker 3: but it's nice to have something to do. I think
- 2:00Speaker 3: that's it. Patreon Patreon dot com slash. I said, no gifts.
- 2:04Speaker 3: I don't need to tell you anything more about that.
- 2:05Speaker 3: You've heard. It's time to get over there. Okay, let's
- 2:09Speaker 3: get into the podcast. Today's guest is just fantastic. It's
- 2:13Speaker 3: John Dailey, John welcomed. I said, no.
- 2:15Speaker 4: Gifts, richer, thank you so much, thanks for having met Ah. Yeah, thanks.
- 2:20Speaker 4: I forgot to eat lunch too, you did, Yeah, I did?
- 2:22Speaker 4: And I had some nuts outside. What kind of nuts
- 2:25Speaker 4: in the green room? You know, the kind of ones
- 2:27Speaker 4: that are a little bit like a weird texture because
- 2:29Speaker 4: they're in that plastic bagh and they come with cranberries
- 2:32Speaker 4: you don't want. Nobody wants the cranberries. But then they
- 2:34Speaker 4: come with a dark chocolate and you do want that.
- 2:36Speaker 4: This is a Trader Joe's thing, is it Trader Joe's. Yeah, yes,
- 2:39Speaker 4: I've recently kind of gotten into this because I've gotten
- 2:41Speaker 4: more into Greek yogurt.
- 2:42Speaker 5: Oh yeah, Greek yogurt and probably the best yogurt.
- 2:45Speaker 3: Have you had faiye before Greek yogurt? Yeah? I hadn't
- 2:48Speaker 3: had this until just recently, and I can't believe how
- 2:51Speaker 3: much I love this stuff.
- 2:52Speaker 4: Of course, it's faiya. It's not phage. It's not like
- 2:56Speaker 4: yiro is yero. It's the g is a hy.
- 3:00Speaker 3: I'm so glad that you pronounced zero that way zero,
- 3:03Speaker 3: because that's how I pronounce it. And I feel like
- 3:05Speaker 3: it's kind of a mission of mine to help people
- 3:08Speaker 3: understand that.
- 3:08Speaker 2: Well.
- 3:08Speaker 4: I grew up in Queens, so I grew up coming
- 3:10Speaker 4: to all these diners where I had to say Euro
- 3:13Speaker 4: just kidding from Pittsburgh.
- 3:14Speaker 3: It's a lot. But did you have a lot of
- 3:16Speaker 3: Greek food around you? No? Somewhere Did you learn problem Greece? Greece?
- 3:22Speaker 5: No?
- 3:23Speaker 4: No, I never learned. Really, I'll say Gyro depending on
- 3:26Speaker 4: where I am. I feel pretentious if I say euro
- 3:29Speaker 4: Can I have a Euro? It just sounds weird.
- 3:31Speaker 5: Give me a.
- 3:32Speaker 3: Gyron with like extra ketchup. You know, I grew up
- 3:39Speaker 3: with around a lot of Greek people in Utah, and
- 3:41Speaker 3: so I just was always Eero to me. Utah Greeks
- 3:44Speaker 3: have so many Greeks in Utah, like a Greek restaurant
- 3:47Speaker 3: on every block. Essential really okay? So and then in
- 3:51Speaker 3: La there's not a lot of Greek food. So there
- 3:53Speaker 3: used to be Papa Cristo's gone, the Great Greek Grill gone. Yeah,
- 3:59Speaker 3: where am I supposed to?
- 4:00Speaker 5: Eero this? There's good Mediterranean stuff down by Scientology.
- 4:03Speaker 4: Oh.
- 4:04Speaker 5: Interesting, But there's that one place. It's you know.
- 4:07Speaker 3: Oh, celebrity Saffy.
- 4:09Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah, exactly, you know.
- 4:11Speaker 4: Yes, yes, it's pretty good. That place is like you're paying,
- 4:14Speaker 4: it's not like it's nice. You got to go to
- 4:17Speaker 4: Scoffs similar.
- 4:20Speaker 3: Yes, very good. Yeah, but yeah, it's right there by
- 4:23Speaker 3: the Celebrity Center. You can see scientologists kind of doing
- 4:26Speaker 3: free work. Yeah. I'm down there anyways, washing windows.
- 4:29Speaker 4: Yeah, I wash windows. I just do grout, grout work
- 4:34Speaker 4: and drywall. Have you been in there?
- 4:37Speaker 2: No?
- 4:37Speaker 5: I did the tour in New York when I was there.
- 4:40Speaker 1: Oh.
- 4:41Speaker 3: Interesting, I haven't been to this New York location. Is
- 4:43Speaker 3: that the one in uh Times Square? Okay? What was
- 4:46Speaker 3: that like?
- 4:48Speaker 4: Well, they take you on a little tour and show
- 4:50Speaker 4: you a film, and it's really great. I think everyone
- 4:52Speaker 4: should get into it.
- 4:56Speaker 3: I've I've been into the Blue one here I've been.
- 5:00Speaker 3: I took the tests, I went through the whole process
- 5:02Speaker 3: and the celebrity center, right, and the one common theme
- 5:05Speaker 3: is they need to crack a window. There's no ventilation
- 5:08Speaker 3: in either of those buildings. Really wow, stuffy, Yeah, I
- 5:12Speaker 3: don't know what that's about.
- 5:13Speaker 4: How about AC, How about you spend some of this
- 5:16Speaker 4: crazy amount of money apparently you have.
- 5:18Speaker 3: They do have so much money, and what are they
- 5:21Speaker 3: spending it on? Real estate? Yeah? I mean that's why
- 5:24Speaker 3: they have so much money. And rape trials yeah, yes, honestly.
- 5:28Speaker 3: And then they're like, uh, famously weird commercials they're Super
- 5:31Speaker 3: Bowl commercials actually, and.
- 5:32Speaker 5: They have a TikTok.
- 5:33Speaker 4: They have a handsome they have a handsome young man
- 5:35Speaker 4: on TikTok. That's like treating it like it's real cool
- 5:39Speaker 4: and I love it. I keep doing this with this
- 5:41Speaker 4: handsome guy. How have I not found this yet? It's
- 5:44Speaker 4: like a guy that's on TikTok first Church of Scientologist TikTok,
- 5:48Speaker 4: and he's like, does.
- 5:50Speaker 3: Scientologists believe in God? Yeah?
- 5:53Speaker 5: But be whatever religion you are and then come with
- 5:56Speaker 5: us to be this.
- 5:57Speaker 4: It's like, what, okay, It's kind of like Unitarian Universalists, right,
- 6:02Speaker 4: so you can go to Unitarian and be Jewish or
- 6:04Speaker 4: Christian bringing you bring your own thing, but you're kind
- 6:07Speaker 4: of worshiping together, and it's all kind of like assume
- 6:09Speaker 4: that you're a little bit smarter than most people are.
- 6:12Speaker 3: The only thing that's scientology the only thing I see
- 6:16Speaker 3: on TikTok related to scientology. I don't know if you've
- 6:18Speaker 3: seen this. As the teens who are speed running scientology.
- 6:21Speaker 5: That's the best thing in the world.
- 6:23Speaker 3: I keep doing it. It makes me feel so hopeful
- 6:25Speaker 3: for teens.
- 6:26Speaker 4: Yeah, it's incredible, and it's a safe thing to buzz
- 6:30Speaker 4: like you know or whatever buzz I just said buzz,
- 6:33Speaker 4: But you know, like just going in it's like, what
- 6:35Speaker 4: are they going to kill your, arrest you? Then they'll
- 6:39Speaker 4: look bad. So kids keep doing it. I just saw
- 6:42Speaker 4: I think kids should have more mischief, you know. And
- 6:44Speaker 4: I was just I live near a college campus, and
- 6:48Speaker 4: so I walk my dog every time on this on
- 6:50Speaker 4: this college campus.
- 6:51Speaker 3: And there were some kids.
- 6:53Speaker 4: There were three kids, and they had two of them
- 6:56Speaker 4: had those like silent Super seventy six electric bike, right,
- 7:03Speaker 4: and then one kid had the loudest bike, mini bike,
- 7:07Speaker 4: old school minibike, fat tires that I have ever seen.
- 7:09Speaker 4: And these kids were clearly scoping out they were gonna
- 7:13Speaker 4: buzz this area of students. And this kid had the loudest,
- 7:18Speaker 4: most obnoxious, freaking bike I've ever heard.
- 7:21Speaker 3: He was like.
- 7:23Speaker 4: And he went across the campus and I was like
- 7:26Speaker 4: watching them plan and then do this. I was like stopping,
- 7:30Speaker 4: just watching, Oh man, these idiots are doing this. And
- 7:33Speaker 4: he buzzed it and everyone was like, hey, stop it,
- 7:36Speaker 4: stop it. You know, he got really pissed. He was
- 7:38Speaker 4: like twelve, and then he turned around and went back
- 7:41Speaker 4: and buzzed it and he like like almost like hit
- 7:46Speaker 4: a five year old. Oh child, and this you know,
- 7:49Speaker 4: I was so in supportive of this until I still
- 7:52Speaker 4: support it.
- 7:52Speaker 5: But he didn't because he didn't hurt anybody.
- 7:55Speaker 4: The kid started crying and the and the dad was like, hey, asshold,
- 7:58Speaker 4: come on, come back here. And then the kid just
- 8:01Speaker 4: very business like, meets up with his friends and they're
- 8:03Speaker 4: and they're going yeah, yeah, all right, all right, yeah
- 8:07Speaker 4: yeah cool, let's do it again. And I was like,
- 8:09Speaker 4: and I literally I went, guys, you can't do it again.
- 8:13Speaker 4: The cops are gonna come. That's how you get caught.
- 8:16Speaker 4: You do it once and then you come back in
- 8:17Speaker 4: a week and.
- 8:18Speaker 5: Do it again.
- 8:18Speaker 3: Yes, you get to You just made it through. You
- 8:20Speaker 3: just made a child cry.
- 8:21Speaker 4: And I was looking at these guys and they tried
- 8:23Speaker 4: it again and they got and immediate cops. And I
- 8:28Speaker 4: was just happy to see kids that weren't on their phones.
- 8:30Speaker 4: I love teen Mischief so much. It's great.
- 8:35Speaker 3: Hurt you some team. This shifts. Oh yeah, I mean obviously,
- 8:39Speaker 3: like we were toilet papering houses. That's a good that's
- 8:41Speaker 3: a nice one. I saw a house in Pasadena recently
- 8:43Speaker 3: covered in toilet paper. Really it made me feel great again.
- 8:46Speaker 3: I was like, good for whatever teen is doing this.
- 8:49Speaker 4: Yeah, get off the screens, get the toilet paper, make
- 8:52Speaker 4: it wet. We were going into public pools, which was
- 8:55Speaker 4: always thrilling late at night, sneaking into a pool.
- 8:57Speaker 3: What else would we do? Those were the kind of
- 9:00Speaker 3: the two big kind of thrilling ones, just doing something
- 9:02Speaker 3: late at night that feels like not a restable behavior
- 9:05Speaker 3: right where you would maybe get yelled at.
- 9:07Speaker 4: We used to sit behind a bush and throw water
- 9:10Speaker 4: balloons up and toss them and hit cars at red light.
- 9:14Speaker 4: And then we did an extremely dangerous thing which I
- 9:16Speaker 4: don't recommend to anybody, which is you know, three man
- 9:19Speaker 4: sling shot, No, three man slingshots like a huge rubber band,
- 9:23Speaker 4: like oversized rubber band, and one person holds the thing
- 9:28Speaker 4: and then two people walk away and make this huge
- 9:31Speaker 4: catapult and we would catapult oranges and apples and stuff
- 9:35Speaker 4: onto moving cars and hit them and they would like
- 9:41Speaker 4: skid out in a and we were like, aha, meanwhile,
- 9:44Speaker 4: this person feels like they're going to die, Like it's
- 9:46Speaker 4: really dangerous. Yeah, And we were like, you know, half
- 9:52Speaker 4: a mile away because these things shoot so far right,
- 9:55Speaker 4: we're totally safe. Just lobbing shat windshield, Yeah, somebody, And
- 10:00Speaker 4: it's like, literally, it's deadly dangerous anytime.
- 10:02Speaker 3: I still whenever I go under one of those pedestrian bridges,
- 10:06Speaker 3: I'm like, there's gonna be a teen up there that
- 10:07Speaker 3: throws something on my car and I'm going to lead
- 10:10Speaker 3: to my death.
- 10:10Speaker 4: This happened to me, and this year was almost like
- 10:12Speaker 4: penance for doing all these oranges.
- 10:15Speaker 5: I was driving to a hockey game. I played hockey
- 10:17Speaker 5: in high school.
- 10:18Speaker 4: I was driving after school, driving me and this guy,
- 10:20Speaker 4: Mike Castillo to hockey practice. And we were driving and
- 10:26Speaker 4: I was in my car that me and my brother
- 10:29Speaker 4: shared not a great car, Honda Civic hatchback, and somebody
- 10:33Speaker 4: threw a boulder off of one of those things and
- 10:35Speaker 4: it hit the windshield, spidered, it shattered it.
- 10:39Speaker 5: And bounced off because it goes but it's spidered.
- 10:43Speaker 4: And so I opened my window which is rolling down,
- 10:46Speaker 4: and I'm looking and driving off the highway, and then
- 10:49Speaker 4: we had to like punch out parts, which didn't really work,
- 10:52Speaker 4: so we just had to make it a little bit
- 10:54Speaker 4: visible enough. But I was like, this person wanted to
- 10:57Speaker 4: kill me, and then I've done the same basic thing. So,
- 11:00Speaker 4: but there's something about dropping it off a highway over
- 11:03Speaker 4: that's you want to kill people.
- 11:05Speaker 3: Yeah, that's something where it's like, you know, ultimately something
- 11:07Speaker 3: dangerous will happen and you're gonna watch it unfold. Yeah,
- 11:11Speaker 3: that person's probably like hurting cats.
- 11:13Speaker 4: Yes, of course they've already hurt cats. They've graduated to
- 11:18Speaker 4: a highway desk.
- 11:18Speaker 3: This is a new project, right. Yeah. A friend would
- 11:21Speaker 3: do a thing, my friend Don, as we would drive
- 11:23Speaker 3: through intersections and this like if someone did this to
- 11:26Speaker 3: me now, I would cut them out of my life immediately.
- 11:28Speaker 3: But as we were headed through the intersection, would begin
- 11:31Speaker 3: screaming Wow, the way. That's so dangerous.
- 11:34Speaker 5: Yeah, that's really dangerous.
- 11:35Speaker 3: Yeah, but it's also kind of funny that a teen's
- 11:39Speaker 3: doing that. It's just like, ah, you what could I
- 11:44Speaker 3: mean you would swerve out of the way. That's rough. Yeah,
- 11:46Speaker 3: but the temptation is always like kind of there when
- 11:49Speaker 3: I'm a passenger in a car, just like you can.
- 11:51Speaker 3: That's something terrifying you can do to anybody. Yeah. Do
- 11:54Speaker 3: you like scaring people, like jumping out and scaring.
- 11:57Speaker 4: Huh, that's interesting. Do I like jumping out and scaring people?
- 12:01Speaker 4: I just did a surprise birthday party for my friend okay,
- 12:04Speaker 4: and he was surprised in.
- 12:06Speaker 3: A way that was not positive.
- 12:09Speaker 4: Oh how he was on guard as if he was
- 12:13Speaker 4: being robbed, and genuinely he was coming home with his family,
- 12:17Speaker 4: so it wasn't like okay, he had his baby daughter
- 12:20Speaker 4: and then his wife and then his his actual like
- 12:23Speaker 4: father was there, and so he just walked in and
- 12:26Speaker 4: he was like what the fuck?
- 12:29Speaker 5: What the oh?
- 12:31Speaker 4: Oh?
- 12:31Speaker 3: Oh, okay, okay, okay.
- 12:33Speaker 5: Like the surprise, it was like surprise.
- 12:37Speaker 4: Okay, okay, okay, just like a very adult like don't
- 12:41Speaker 4: do surprise parties after a while, Like just like what's happening.
- 12:44Speaker 5: In my home. Oh god, ah my every friend I've
- 12:47Speaker 5: ever had is here. Okay, Jesus Christ.
- 12:50Speaker 3: You know. Yeah, and that's what you want. That's kind
- 12:53Speaker 3: of the reaction you want as out of a surprise.
- 12:55Speaker 3: Otherwise it's them faking it, which is not interesting or fun.
- 12:58Speaker 3: It's like, well then they kind of just new and
- 13:00Speaker 3: so now it's like they're acting for you. Yeah. On
- 13:03Speaker 3: the opposite end, they're generally scared. I think's super scared. Yeah,
- 13:06Speaker 3: they're ready to defend their family. Yeah yeah, yeah, but
- 13:10Speaker 3: everybody needs that feeling every once in a while. Yeah.
- 13:12Speaker 4: And it's scary to think you're not going to be
- 13:14Speaker 4: in a large social situation and to be forced into one.
- 13:17Speaker 4: That's another scared My gosh, Like, oh, I'm going to
- 13:19Speaker 4: come home and relax. Oh, I'm talking to people hours.
- 13:24Speaker 3: Yeah. Yeah, you have to like take them in at Yeah.
- 13:26Speaker 3: The prep I have to do for a social situation
- 13:28Speaker 3: is a couple hours in advance. Yeah, I'm doing research
- 13:31Speaker 3: on all the people to think of something to talk about.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Yeah, figuring out a project. I can mention you were
- 13:38Speaker 4: great on this ingrats. I never watched.
- 13:42Speaker 3: That's how you that's how you buzz that's.
- 13:44Speaker 4: How you schmooze, that's how you network, how you get
- 13:46Speaker 4: it done in this town.
- 13:48Speaker 3: You can't do that at a surprise party.
- 13:50Speaker 5: No, no, yeah, you're off kilter.
- 13:52Speaker 3: How are you going to get jobs? It's ridiculous.
- 13:54Speaker 4: No.
- 13:55Speaker 3: Yeah. Have you had a surprise party in the past?
- 13:57Speaker 3: I have? Yeah, And did you enjoy it?
- 14:00Speaker 5: I did.
- 14:00Speaker 4: It was small and it was very manageable, and it
- 14:03Speaker 4: was just in an age where I was like, uh,
- 14:06Speaker 4: you know, you're in your twenties. You're like, oh, should
- 14:08Speaker 4: I kill myself or or should I quit life walk
- 14:12Speaker 4: into the ocean?
- 14:13Speaker 5: And then surprise and it's it's like.
- 14:15Speaker 3: Oh, people do Okay, that's invigorating people like me.
- 14:21Speaker 4: They these people actually yeah they planned this right, I
- 14:25Speaker 4: didn't fight them.
- 14:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:27Speaker 5: I didn't plan this for myself.
- 14:28Speaker 4: Yeah, that would be that's what losers do, a surprise party.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Surprise party for yourself. Yeah, that's the biggest loser move
- 14:35Speaker 3: you could possibly.
- 14:36Speaker 5: Fall like some only George Costanza, which.
- 14:39Speaker 4: I had kind of like a weird Costanza thing that
- 14:42Speaker 4: almost happened to me.
- 14:42Speaker 3: Recently. I went to a housewarming party and then the
- 14:45Speaker 3: next day one of the people texted me to say
- 14:49Speaker 3: thank you so much for the beautiful candle, and I
- 14:51Speaker 3: hadn't taken anything, And the temptation there was so high
- 14:55Speaker 3: for me to be like, yeah, of course I didn't.
- 14:59Speaker 5: What do you mean you hadn't taken anything?
- 15:01Speaker 3: You had, I didn't like take a housewarming gift or anything.
- 15:03Speaker 5: Okay, is this a transition? I feel like I'm being transition.
- 15:07Speaker 3: No, you're not. I'm just okay.
- 15:09Speaker 4: I'm thinking about wanting to know that there's a real
- 15:11Speaker 4: conversation and not you guiding surprise, guiding the conversation.
- 15:16Speaker 3: All right, this really this brings me to no, no, no.
- 15:19Speaker 4: Now you need to vamp. Now you need to come
- 15:22Speaker 4: up with another thing so we could go back to
- 15:24Speaker 4: the gift.
- 15:25Speaker 5: You fucked this up, man, I.
- 15:27Speaker 3: Didn't fuck this. I know you're off the show. Damn
- 15:32Speaker 3: you've had Mean what are we fifteen minutes into this
- 15:34Speaker 3: thing and you've absolutely just said you've thrown a wet
- 15:37Speaker 3: towel on it. Oh my god. No, this really happened.
- 15:41Speaker 3: And obviously there was a temptation to be like, oh, yeah,
- 15:44Speaker 3: of course, and I probably should have done it. Yeah,
- 15:49Speaker 3: But then like the thought of like someone finding out
- 15:51Speaker 3: that would have that would be ruinous it.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Would be weird, like, yeah, I did a weird thing
- 15:56Speaker 4: there at about that story.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Yeah, but I was interesting. Would you have said you're welcome?
- 16:03Speaker 3: It just depends on who it is.
- 16:05Speaker 4: Yeah, if it's just an easier interaction, I I I'm
- 16:08Speaker 4: not judging myself. I'm not saying I'm cool or anything,
- 16:11Speaker 4: but I probably all right. Yeah, I don't know what
- 16:16Speaker 4: it's good.
- 16:17Speaker 5: Yeah, I'm a good guy. See maybe that makes me cool.
- 16:20Speaker 3: I don't know, no, and I have no idea. It
- 16:22Speaker 3: just depends on the situation. Well, I hope you're not
- 16:25Speaker 3: faced with that in the future. But now, I mean,
- 16:27Speaker 3: you've kind of just what are we going to do?
- 16:29Speaker 3: At this point? We have to open the gift you brought?
- 16:32Speaker 3: Oh god, no gifts, Sean. You walked in today holding
- 16:38Speaker 3: a gift? Should we open it here on the podcast?
- 16:41Speaker 3: You sure? Okay, Okay, why not? It's in this gorgeous
- 16:47Speaker 3: little bit you are. Thank you. Let's see what's happening
- 16:50Speaker 3: in here? Okay? Reaching in Okay? Oh yeah? Is this
- 16:59Speaker 3: a new pack of No? No, no, it's special pack
- 17:04Speaker 3: of playing cards? How is it special.
- 17:06Speaker 5: Playing cards from?
- 17:08Speaker 3: Wait?
- 17:08Speaker 5: This dick of which?
- 17:10Speaker 3: Which? Fabulous casino? This deck of card. Oh, let's see
- 17:13Speaker 3: MGM Grand. Oh this is from the MGM Grand.
- 17:16Speaker 5: MGM Grand.
- 17:17Speaker 3: Wait, how did you get a Do they give these
- 17:19Speaker 3: away when you go to a casino?
- 17:20Speaker 5: No, you have to go.
- 17:21Speaker 4: I don't know if you're into antiques, I'm not, but
- 17:25Speaker 4: I love an antique store.
- 17:26Speaker 5: You know, I'll go.
- 17:27Speaker 3: I love browsing check out.
- 17:28Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly, go to an antique store in Vegas. I
- 17:31Speaker 4: can't recommend it. They have think of Vegas. They have
- 17:34Speaker 4: the best ship you can possibly imagine. It's a whole
- 17:38Speaker 4: different ballgame of kitchy Elvis shit slash. Just Casino de
- 17:43Speaker 4: tretis and that is they sell old. That's a used
- 17:47Speaker 4: sleazy people's hands were on that.
- 17:51Speaker 3: I know.
- 17:51Speaker 4: Yeah, that was once part of a six card shoe
- 17:55Speaker 4: or whatever. You know, And it says MGM Grand And
- 17:58Speaker 4: I just went there. I went to a David Copperfield
- 18:01Speaker 4: show in Vegas.
- 18:02Speaker 3: How was that?
- 18:04Speaker 1: You know?
- 18:04Speaker 5: I've seen a lot.
- 18:06Speaker 4: Of magic in Vegas, and David Copperfield's obviously one of
- 18:09Speaker 4: the bigs. And he's you know, google him sometimes Google
- 18:14Speaker 4: Google him, Giselaine Maxwell jpeg, you know, google him. But
- 18:20Speaker 4: he's a good magic every the magic every magician is
- 18:24Speaker 4: I you know, I love magic. He's he's very it's
- 18:28Speaker 4: a very funny kind of like show.
- 18:31Speaker 3: He is an old.
- 18:32Speaker 4: Man now still he was like one of those guys
- 18:35Speaker 4: that's like way too handsome in the eighties kind of
- 18:38Speaker 4: feeling and just you know, is a broken, you know,
- 18:41Speaker 4: broken sadly broken man and you can feel it. And
- 18:46Speaker 4: but he rushes through his show. You'll never see his show.
- 18:50Speaker 4: It's unfortunate. But there's a part of the show that
- 18:53Speaker 4: I have come back for, which is a blue alien
- 18:56Speaker 4: called Blue thirty two, like a very et like kind
- 18:59Speaker 4: of like a all of his ideas are from nineteen
- 19:01Speaker 4: five because that was like he was fucking Claudia Schiff
- 19:04Speaker 4: or whatever, and he was like, well this is success.
- 19:07Speaker 4: And so there's just a eed comes down and it's
- 19:10Speaker 4: the most articulated and brilliant, beautiful, uh you know, Hollywood
- 19:16Speaker 4: amazing animatronic figure.
- 19:17Speaker 3: That's right, Hello David.
- 19:19Speaker 4: And he has a whole narrative in the show that
- 19:22Speaker 4: is one of the funniest things I've ever seen in
- 19:23Speaker 4: my life, because he is it's like these Vegas guys
- 19:27Speaker 4: who just have golden handcuffs. They are in this golden
- 19:30Speaker 4: prison in Vegas, and they're like, I have to inject
- 19:33Speaker 4: some personal.
- 19:34Speaker 3: Shit into my show.
- 19:36Speaker 5: Are I'm gonna go fucking crazy.
- 19:38Speaker 4: I have a personal story, And so he has this
- 19:41Speaker 4: story about it's like connecting with his father and his
- 19:45Speaker 4: and his alien is like this alien's like I knew
- 19:48Speaker 4: your father because he worked at Area fifty one.
- 19:51Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 19:52Speaker 5: No, none of it's true.
- 19:55Speaker 4: So he's connecting with a fake with author narrative and
- 19:58Speaker 4: you're just like, he's humanized himself and then you like
- 20:01Speaker 4: read about it. It's just I just can't. Oh, it's
- 20:04Speaker 4: one of the funniest I cannot stop laughing. And and
- 20:07Speaker 4: then on top of that, the magic legitimately good, Like
- 20:11Speaker 4: there are a couple of tricks in there, and there
- 20:13Speaker 4: usually aren't tricks where I'm like, I have no idea
- 20:15Speaker 4: how they did that, but I'm literally like, he does
- 20:17Speaker 4: this thing where he just balance he makes a paper
- 20:21Speaker 4: ball kind of like float, and he does it and
- 20:24Speaker 4: goes around and You're just like wow, So anyway I
- 20:27Speaker 4: saw anything, I saw this absolute garbage entertained. But he's
- 20:30Speaker 4: still going, He's still well. It was one of his
- 20:33Speaker 4: last shows. Oh it's over. My nerd friends and I
- 20:36Speaker 4: went to see this last final week of shows, and uh,
- 20:40Speaker 4: you know.
- 20:40Speaker 3: That alien's probably already in the antiques store.
- 20:43Speaker 4: I hope not. I'm sure he's hoarded it or something.
- 20:47Speaker 4: But the antique stores really good. Okay, side note, I
- 20:52Speaker 4: parked in a parking lot. Vegas is just scam city.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Everything's legal. And I parked in this parking lot and
- 20:59Speaker 4: there was no sign own park here. It was just
- 21:02Speaker 4: a little parking area, not even a lot. And then
- 21:04Speaker 4: I got out of the antique store after being obsessed
- 21:06Speaker 4: with it, getting all this nice records and vinyl and
- 21:09Speaker 4: stuff and that pack of cards, and then I walked
- 21:11Speaker 4: out my car was gone. Oh and it was around
- 21:14Speaker 4: the corner at a toe shop. That's a scam and
- 21:18Speaker 4: you just have to take it.
- 21:20Speaker 3: You just have to.
- 21:21Speaker 4: And like my wife and I were like googling, like
- 21:23Speaker 4: what are the fucking laws here? All the laws are
- 21:26Speaker 4: designed that you lose. And I'm just like, can we
- 21:29Speaker 4: call the cops? No, the cops are paid off. Oh
- 21:31Speaker 4: can we call the parking lot? Though the parking lot's
- 21:33Speaker 4: part of the scam.
- 21:34Speaker 3: And so and after a while we were like.
- 21:36Speaker 4: Pushing back, like you can't do this because it was
- 21:39Speaker 4: like six hundred dollars of course.
- 21:40Speaker 3: And I think that like crazy toe companies everywhere are
- 21:44Speaker 3: one of the worst things you can do to a
- 21:45Speaker 3: human being, right right. I think it's just like a
- 21:47Speaker 3: deeply cruel thing you can do.
- 21:49Speaker 4: I agree, yeah, And then this guy comes out and
- 21:51Speaker 4: he goes, look, I'm just gonna break it down to you.
- 21:54Speaker 4: I used to live Because he looked at our licenses,
- 21:56Speaker 4: he was like, you guys live in LA. I used
- 21:58Speaker 4: to live in LA. You know why I'm moved here
- 22:00Speaker 4: because I can make more money doing this scam than
- 22:03Speaker 4: I could at the Like he didn't say that out loud,
- 22:05Speaker 4: but he was like, there's a reason I moved to
- 22:07Speaker 4: Las Vegas because it's just scam city.
- 22:10Speaker 3: I can be a bad person here and get away.
- 22:12Speaker 5: And I and I have you over a barrel.
- 22:14Speaker 4: You have to give me this money and like, oh,
- 22:17Speaker 4: by the way, all your laptops are in your bag.
- 22:19Speaker 4: We're gonna go in your car. Not like it was
- 22:20Speaker 4: just evil. I was like, Vegas, that's there's an EDEM monitor.
- 22:24Speaker 4: It kind of made me go like this, this is
- 22:27Speaker 4: kind of something I'd appreciate about vague, Like there's a
- 22:30Speaker 4: vague kind of like oh, the sleaziness is here, the
- 22:33Speaker 4: kind of old mob mentality or whatever that built it.
- 22:37Speaker 5: Whatever did you have?
- 22:38Speaker 3: Let me ask this. You have to could you walk
- 22:40Speaker 3: to the toe place?
- 22:43Speaker 4: That? Yes, but it was a brutal walk okay, but
- 22:46Speaker 4: it wasn't like crazy. It was like twenty minutes in
- 22:48Speaker 4: the hot sun, right, but we walked to the toe place.
- 22:51Speaker 5: It was just clear, like hey, uh, and then we walked.
- 22:55Speaker 4: We drove back once we got the car to the
- 22:57Speaker 4: parking lot and there was a sign, but it was
- 22:59Speaker 4: a round the corner, so it's posted, but it's yeah,
- 23:03Speaker 4: exactly right.
- 23:04Speaker 3: And how do you I do they leave a ticket
- 23:07Speaker 3: or something to tell you that your car's been towed?
- 23:09Speaker 4: Well, when your car gets towed, when your car gets
- 23:11Speaker 4: towd anywhere, even here in beautiful California, you can look
- 23:15Speaker 4: at it. There's always a sign posted on the street
- 23:17Speaker 4: that will tell you a phone number or maybe a
- 23:20Speaker 4: website or something that will tell you you.
- 23:22Speaker 3: Just have to like google it, go how do I.
- 23:25Speaker 5: Pick my thing up? But there's almost always a sign there.
- 23:27Speaker 3: I think the only time a car should be towed
- 23:29Speaker 3: is if it's in a red curb somewhere where it
- 23:32Speaker 3: could cause a fire. Hydrant.
- 23:34Speaker 4: Yes, yeah, otherwise what are you doing? Or if you're
- 23:37Speaker 4: blocking someone's driveway or something. Yeah, where it's like truly
- 23:40Speaker 4: a problem.
- 23:41Speaker 3: Yeah, to just be towed out of a random Las
- 23:43Speaker 3: Vegas parking lot, Oh, that would ruin my year. Just deph.
- 23:47Speaker 4: Yeah, just rough. The antiques were had a bitter flavor,
- 23:50Speaker 4: so that's hard one. Oh my god, it would be
- 23:53Speaker 4: so mad. What else did you do in Vegas?
- 23:56Speaker 3: What do we do?
- 23:57Speaker 4: We walked around and stuff, and just I played blackjack.
- 24:03Speaker 4: I like to play blackjack in a very like I
- 24:05Speaker 4: give myself like a two.
- 24:06Speaker 3: Hundred dollars limit.
- 24:07Speaker 4: I'm like, I'm just gonna be here for a couple
- 24:09Speaker 4: hours and have fun because I do find it very fun.
- 24:12Speaker 4: It's hilarious and you just meet freaks. It's the best.
- 24:16Speaker 5: I love it.
- 24:17Speaker 4: I go to the Golden Nugget just post up. I
- 24:20Speaker 4: think they have like a little bit like you know,
- 24:23Speaker 4: the less the I've actually made money, Like I have
- 24:26Speaker 4: my system for blackjack, right, and it's not a system
- 24:29Speaker 4: that works.
- 24:30Speaker 3: That's how everyone is, right, Like I know how to
- 24:32Speaker 3: do this.
- 24:32Speaker 4: Yeah, you need in order to have a blackjack system,
- 24:34Speaker 4: you need to dominate a table with all people you know, right,
- 24:38Speaker 4: and be based on that and all share of the pot.
- 24:41Speaker 4: But what I do is I put my first bed
- 24:44Speaker 4: in ten bucks and then if I win, I double that.
- 24:48Speaker 4: Oh it's not a system that works, but I feel
- 24:51Speaker 4: like it's a system.
- 24:52Speaker 3: It's something you can count, it's something a method, it's
- 24:55Speaker 3: a method. Yeah, you're not flying blind, yeah exactly.
- 24:58Speaker 5: It feels sane. You're like holding onto something.
- 25:01Speaker 3: Yeah, well, how much what's the most you've ever won
- 25:03Speaker 3: playing black check?
- 25:04Speaker 4: I once I went to the Grand Canyon and stayed
- 25:08Speaker 4: at this Indian casino, really nice place, and I uh
- 25:14Speaker 4: in the hotel there and I just I took a
- 25:16Speaker 4: couple of mushrooms and I went down and played blackjack
- 25:19Speaker 4: for like like six hours and gave myself a limit,
- 25:24Speaker 4: and I just was very lucky.
- 25:26Speaker 5: I like did that exact method.
- 25:29Speaker 4: And at one point I was like, Okay, now I'm
- 25:31Speaker 4: putting four hundred, like, you know, two hundred dollars probably
- 25:35Speaker 4: into the pot because I'm doubling everything. And I made
- 25:38Speaker 4: enough money and I was like, oh, this is seven
- 25:40Speaker 4: hundred dollars. That's literally paying for my entire trip. And
- 25:43Speaker 4: I had the presence of mind to go, okay, I'm
- 25:46Speaker 4: just gonna pay for the That's a.
- 25:47Speaker 5: Cool that's a nice place to land. But usually I'm like,
- 25:51Speaker 5: oh I've I'm up, Like, let's.
- 25:53Speaker 3: Lose the ruins.
- 25:54Speaker 5: Yeah, exactly.
- 25:57Speaker 3: The idea of being on mushrooms in a casino losing
- 26:00Speaker 3: money for me, that would end in my death. There's
- 26:02Speaker 3: no worst scenario for me. Yeah.
- 26:04Speaker 4: Yeah, Well, don't go see magic in Vegas. No, I
- 26:07Speaker 4: recommend all magic shows.
- 26:09Speaker 3: Oh it's a shame. I don't get to see David
- 26:12Speaker 3: David's final run, right right? Was it like a sold
- 26:14Speaker 3: out show?
- 26:16Speaker 5: You know these Vegas shows?
- 26:19Speaker 3: Yeah, I guess they don't have a captive audience.
- 26:21Speaker 4: He's obsessed with staying number one David Copperfield. So he
- 26:24Speaker 4: does two shows at night and that makes twelve shows.
- 26:27Speaker 4: I believe a week, he's doing two shows seven thirty,
- 26:30Speaker 4: nine thirty every night. He just wants to go I'm
- 26:33Speaker 4: number one in Vegas and like then he like his
- 26:36Speaker 4: life is dark.
- 26:37Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't imagine, like at home with David Copperfield. Yeah,
- 26:41Speaker 3: does he have a family, what is it?
- 26:42Speaker 4: It's I remember he was like dating Claudia Schiffer beautiful. Yeah,
- 26:47Speaker 4: of course, eighties like modding around in a ferrari or whatever.
- 26:51Speaker 5: And he made the statue of Liberty disappear.
- 26:53Speaker 3: That was the big one. So he was like David Blaine,
- 26:56Speaker 3: who is the other big Vegas magician. I saw another
- 26:58Speaker 3: magician in Vegas. I think he was number one before
- 27:02Speaker 3: David's return, probably right. And I feel like that chriss
- 27:05Speaker 3: Angel wasn't chriss Angel. This is pre chriss Angel. Yeah.
- 27:08Speaker 3: It was kind of like a more David Copperfield type,
- 27:11Speaker 3: you know, like a handsome man.
- 27:13Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 27:13Speaker 4: I want to shout out my a good magician who's
- 27:15Speaker 4: a great guy and a friend of mine who robs
- 27:17Speaker 4: a Brecky.
- 27:18Speaker 5: Good for him. Good, he's great.
- 27:20Speaker 3: What sort of magic is he doing?
- 27:21Speaker 4: He does the magic castle, he does a magic seance,
- 27:25Speaker 4: robs a brecy. He also was the lead singer and
- 27:28Speaker 4: songwriter of a song a band called Possum Dixon that
- 27:31Speaker 4: were no joke, very big in the late nineties. And
- 27:35Speaker 4: he's just an interesting guy. I like him a lot.
- 27:37Speaker 4: And he I did this show, Margo's Got Money Troubles. Oh,
- 27:42Speaker 4: and I played a magician and he was my magic guy,
- 27:46Speaker 4: was like a coach. Yeah, And so he taught me
- 27:48Speaker 4: magic tricks and I was like, Jesus, this is how
- 27:50Speaker 4: I do this.
- 27:51Speaker 5: Shit, and it just it's crazy.
- 27:53Speaker 4: Like learning it, you're like, oh, I can see because
- 27:56Speaker 4: you're like, oh I almost got it.
- 27:58Speaker 5: Oh wow, I really got it that time.
- 28:00Speaker 4: But in order to be confident, all you have to
- 28:02Speaker 4: do it for like, oh twenty five years, you know,
- 28:04Speaker 4: you have to do the same moment. You know, I'm
- 28:06Speaker 4: just like muscle. So I was like, I'll never get
- 28:08Speaker 4: good at this bro. But he's I mean, Rob's a brecky.
- 28:11Speaker 4: Everyone goes see him.
- 28:12Speaker 3: Did you learn a particular trick I learned.
- 28:15Speaker 5: Here's what I learned.
- 28:15Speaker 4: I learned the trick where you're like, here's a card
- 28:18Speaker 4: and then you go it was what, Oh, it won't
- 28:21Speaker 4: leave my hand, and then you throw it up and
- 28:24Speaker 4: then you throw it.
- 28:25Speaker 5: Up again and it's disappeared.
- 28:27Speaker 4: Oh and and then you go oh wow, and it's
- 28:30Speaker 4: so badass when you see it.
- 28:32Speaker 3: Done well right.
- 28:34Speaker 4: And then he taught me to split a deck and
- 28:38Speaker 4: fan out.
- 28:39Speaker 3: Oh that's for me an impossibility. I can't even shock
- 28:42Speaker 3: r card.
- 28:43Speaker 4: And there were that was another thing where I was like,
- 28:46Speaker 4: oh my god, perfect. And then six hundred times later,
- 28:50Speaker 4: it's like, you know, you're just because because he can
- 28:52Speaker 4: do it where it's like.
- 28:53Speaker 5: Number number number, number number, like very wow, fanned.
- 28:57Speaker 4: Out right so perfectly right, and it it's the same
- 29:00Speaker 4: like it's a very simple movie and it's like so heard.
- 29:03Speaker 3: Yeah, I can't imagine the training.
- 29:05Speaker 4: Who teaches him. I think he just he was in
- 29:09Speaker 4: this band and uh he is and he just I
- 29:14Speaker 4: think became a he was like f music kind of
- 29:17Speaker 4: wisely at this point.
- 29:18Speaker 3: Yeah, and.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Was just like I think he was already obsessed with magic,
- 29:23Speaker 4: but he was just like, you know what, I think
- 29:24Speaker 4: I can do this. And he just if you look
- 29:26Speaker 4: at him, he's got like a real cool look. He's
- 29:29Speaker 4: got like a you know, like.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Mysterious a little bit.
- 29:31Speaker 4: He looks a little bit evil, but he's like the
- 29:33Speaker 4: nicest guy in the world. Yeah, I have. Yeah, it's
- 29:39Speaker 4: very it's very exclusive. So it took years.
- 29:42Speaker 3: It's exclusive within the Magic Castle.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Yes, well he does it once a year and it's
- 29:47Speaker 4: very like I know we're friends and everything, but I
- 29:50Speaker 4: can I'm sorry. It's Leonardo DiCaprio. It's you know, it's
- 29:54Speaker 4: like very high end wow. But he has a record
- 29:57Speaker 4: and he's Yeah, he's just an interesting guy.
- 29:58Speaker 5: I love.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Yeah, I love man. Right, I've only been to the
- 30:01Speaker 3: Magic Castle once. Yeah. Yeah, I had kind of a
- 30:04Speaker 3: negative experience because I wasn't wearing a suit and they
- 30:08Speaker 3: made me wear like I think it was either a
- 30:10Speaker 3: size thirty six or forty two suit pant that I
- 30:12Speaker 3: just kind of had to hold around my body all night. No,
- 30:15Speaker 3: like you're wearing a barrel. Yeah, it was a nightmare.
- 30:18Speaker 5: Right. I do like the I enjoy it, and I was.
- 30:23Speaker 4: Weirded out by it a bit, but then I fully
- 30:26Speaker 4: enjoy and appreciate the formality of They are extremely strict
- 30:30Speaker 4: about this, like you have to wear a suit and
- 30:33Speaker 4: tie and cost I was.
- 30:35Speaker 3: Dressed nicely, I had a tie, I had a suit jacket,
- 30:38Speaker 3: but it wasn't enough, right, Right, But then you start thinking, well,
- 30:41Speaker 3: now I'm wearing what looks like my great grandfather's suits.
- 30:45Speaker 3: I know, so I don't know, but good for them
- 30:48Speaker 3: for sticking to the rules.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Yeah, that's my dad's dream. My dad's dream is like, oh,
- 30:52Speaker 4: you're busting kids for not being formal.
- 30:55Speaker 5: Oh my god, can I work here? I want to bust.
- 30:58Speaker 4: Kids for not having the right tie, Like, that's my
- 31:00Speaker 4: dad's Like we're going to church, put on a tie.
- 31:04Speaker 3: Did you go to church growing up?
- 31:05Speaker 5: Yeah?
- 31:05Speaker 3: Catholic? Did you have to dress up just on occasions?
- 31:10Speaker 3: Like we would?
- 31:10Speaker 4: We were a family that went every week and then
- 31:13Speaker 4: on Christmas we would be forced to wear our crappy
- 31:17Speaker 4: suits and ties.
- 31:18Speaker 3: Yeah. I think that that's kind of just like the
- 31:20Speaker 3: like being forced to dress up for church is still
- 31:22Speaker 3: like a kind of a sticking point for me. So
- 31:24Speaker 3: when I have to dress up, I still look like
- 31:27Speaker 3: I was forced to buy my mom or something, which
- 31:29Speaker 3: is not a good thing. As an adult, I've had to.
- 31:31Speaker 4: Confront things like that throughout my life, being like, well
- 31:33Speaker 4: I don't like this, so it's not cool. And then
- 31:35Speaker 4: everyone's like, we're normal.
- 31:36Speaker 3: You have to do this.
- 31:38Speaker 5: Were you Mormon?
- 31:39Speaker 4: Yes you were, okay, so that's a different kind of
- 31:41Speaker 4: church maybe, yeah, I mean, but obviously.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Dressing up every week, like having to wear like a
- 31:46Speaker 3: suit and tie or whatever. Yeah, it's just, especially as
- 31:49Speaker 3: a child, not a fun thing to do.
- 31:51Speaker 5: Did you ever sing in their choirs?
- 31:53Speaker 3: I can't sing. They've got those good choirs, the Tabernacle
- 31:56Speaker 3: Choir famous, Yeah, kind of the most one of our.
- 32:00Speaker 3: Is there more famous choirs than the Tabernacle Choir? I
- 32:02Speaker 3: don't know.
- 32:02Speaker 4: Freakin' No, I can't name another choir Rockapella. They're roll,
- 32:08Speaker 4: They're pretty famous choir rockapella versus what happened to Rockapella?
- 32:15Speaker 3: Where are they now?
- 32:16Speaker 4: I'm sure they're doing touring. Yeah, they're on TV for
- 32:19Speaker 4: like ten years. They're probably doing cruise is they're they're relaxing.
- 32:23Speaker 3: They probably have their own cruise. That's the new thing,
- 32:25Speaker 3: musician cruises.
- 32:26Speaker 5: Right, Yeah, Weezer Cruz.
- 32:28Speaker 3: The Weezer Cruz.
- 32:29Speaker 5: You get to interact with your fans.
- 32:31Speaker 3: Feels like a nightmare.
- 32:32Speaker 4: Do you feel like you're still a Mormon or do
- 32:35Speaker 4: you feel connected or disconnected from that? I feel mostly
- 32:39Speaker 4: disconnected culturally. I think there's still a lot of things
- 32:41Speaker 4: that I do that are probably just because of the
- 32:43Speaker 4: way I grew up, right, But otherwise, no, I obviously
- 32:47Speaker 4: have a lot of problems with the way that they
- 32:49Speaker 4: run that thing.
- 32:50Speaker 3: But you can say that about an a church.
- 32:51Speaker 4: Yeah, yeah, sure, right, but not the Catholic. Not the Catholic.
- 32:54Speaker 4: They've got a kind of squeaky clean record good rap, yes,
- 32:58Speaker 4: good rape. Bad thing about the Catholic Church give me up? Right,
- 33:04Speaker 4: But yeah, like I think that just particular the way
- 33:06Speaker 4: I behave or I don't know, there are some good things,
- 33:10Speaker 4: that's the thing, or like they teach you to help
- 33:13Speaker 4: other people, or yeah.
- 33:14Speaker 5: They had those commercial or whatever.
- 33:16Speaker 4: I was bombarded wild and by the Church of Letter
- 33:21Speaker 4: day sense. It would be like a homeless man like
- 33:23Speaker 4: crying in a gutter and then a the guy would
- 33:26Speaker 4: be like throwing rocks at him, and then the Mormon
- 33:28Speaker 4: would come up and go like, hey, stop the rock
- 33:31Speaker 4: throwing a and the guy would run away, and then
- 33:34Speaker 4: the homeless man would tearily go thank you for bring me.
- 33:39Speaker 4: And then the guy would bring him a soup kitchen.
- 33:41Speaker 4: They'd be eating soup and there'd be a like a
- 33:43Speaker 4: tag brought to you by the church, you know, be
- 33:46Speaker 4: kind or get lost?
- 33:48Speaker 5: You know, brought to you by the Church of Jesus Christ. Yes, lost,
- 33:51Speaker 5: be kind or get lost. That'd be it.
- 33:54Speaker 3: Yeah, they have a lot of they have so much
- 33:56Speaker 3: money and they put it into their commercials, a lot
- 33:59Speaker 3: of media like that. But obviously within Utah, I don't
- 34:01Speaker 3: think you're really ever exposed to the commercials because you're
- 34:04Speaker 3: deep in it.
- 34:05Speaker 4: No, they're you're you're making the commercials. Yea every day
- 34:08Speaker 4: with your good deeds, Yes, every day. You have good skin.
- 34:11Speaker 4: We're red guys. You're a red guy. You're a pale
- 34:15Speaker 4: sunscreen guy. Yeah, I sunburn and I'm Irish American. I
- 34:20Speaker 4: just have big redness something. You have this good skin,
- 34:24Speaker 4: Oh God, bless you. I need to get No, you
- 34:27Speaker 4: have nice skin. I have skin problems, skin allergies.
- 34:32Speaker 3: With this complexion, you're bound to have some sort of
- 34:34Speaker 3: night your whole life, you're just going to be battling
- 34:37Speaker 3: like other people. They just you know, somebody from the
- 34:39Speaker 3: Mediterranean or something. It's just like flawless skin. Yeah, they can.
- 34:43Speaker 3: They can go into the sun, spend a whole day outside.
- 34:45Speaker 4: They come back They're like, No, I'm like slathered in
- 34:49Speaker 4: and I just like allergy mark over.
- 34:51Speaker 3: Year and absolutely every day you eat meat, I eat meat.
- 34:55Speaker 5: I don't know why I'm asking.
- 34:56Speaker 4: I feel like people who are vegan have billy great skin,
- 34:58Speaker 4: and I'm like, maybe's your freaking go v again or something.
- 35:00Speaker 3: I kind of eat garbage. Really, I eat a lot
- 35:03Speaker 3: of junk.
- 35:04Speaker 5: Yeah, what's your favorite?
- 35:06Speaker 3: My favorite thing is a fried chicken sandwich or a
- 35:09Speaker 3: chicken finger the best. Last night I tried to get
- 35:11Speaker 3: a chicken finger, but the line was too long. So
- 35:14Speaker 3: then I went to Clark Street Diner and had a
- 35:16Speaker 3: club sandwich nice, which was delicious.
- 35:18Speaker 5: I ate a late night fried chicken sandwich, not joking
- 35:21Speaker 5: last night, Shakeshack.
- 35:22Speaker 3: Oh, they have a secretly good chicken sandwich. I had
- 35:25Speaker 3: one last week. Yeah, I hadn't had one until just recently,
- 35:29Speaker 3: and I thought it was a pretty good fried chicken sandwich.
- 35:31Speaker 4: Pretty good here in Burbank through open the midnight. Check
- 35:34Speaker 4: it out, Shakeshack. They're in every airport now they are
- 35:37Speaker 4: in the air kind of across the globe.
- 35:39Speaker 3: Now, it's like they blew up. They were just in
- 35:42Speaker 3: New York. I remember when they were just in New York.
- 35:44Speaker 5: Then and there was that crazy line.
- 35:45Speaker 3: Oh the line was insane. Yeah, and now they're kind
- 35:48Speaker 3: of everywhere, and I think a lot of people don't
- 35:49Speaker 3: like it anymore.
- 35:50Speaker 4: Well they I'm sure they lowered their quality, right, you
- 35:53Speaker 4: have to. They still have a great milkshake. I get
- 35:55Speaker 4: that milkshake almost once a week.
- 35:57Speaker 3: I would say.
- 35:57Speaker 5: They have a du Bai chocolate milk Shack.
- 36:00Speaker 3: I had that and I didn't like it. Did you
- 36:02Speaker 3: have it?
- 36:03Speaker 5: No?
- 36:04Speaker 4: I like like that original the TikTok.
- 36:07Speaker 5: You know, do you buy chocolate bar.
- 36:09Speaker 3: Are you tell me?
- 36:09Speaker 4: Well?
- 36:09Speaker 5: Absolutely good?
- 36:11Speaker 3: Where did where did this begin? Because I only caught
- 36:14Speaker 3: on much later once it was like a shake shack product.
- 36:17Speaker 3: Obviously it started somewhere on TikTok and I don't it's
- 36:20Speaker 3: just I don't even know really what it is.
- 36:21Speaker 4: The original thing. Well, I went to Dubai, okay, and
- 36:25Speaker 4: got doing some business stuff. Yeah, just doing some human
- 36:28Speaker 4: trafficking stuff and with my family. No, I was in
- 36:31Speaker 4: Dubai and I brought back du buy chocolate for my
- 36:35Speaker 4: friend's kids. Okay, brought them the kids and they were like,
- 36:38Speaker 4: they're like seven, so they were.
- 36:40Speaker 5: Like tik chocolate and I was like, oh, it's the
- 36:43Speaker 5: TikTok chocolate.
- 36:44Speaker 3: So somebody probably just showed the it's a bar or
- 36:47Speaker 3: something at some point. This is pistachios and chocolate.
- 36:50Speaker 4: It's pistachios in like this kind of it's very very good.
- 36:54Speaker 3: Okay, but it's just like a candy bar or something.
- 36:56Speaker 5: It's a candy bar exactly, yeah, but but well.
- 36:59Speaker 3: Done and kind of look it must look good on
- 37:01Speaker 3: camera or something.
- 37:02Speaker 4: It looks good on camera, and I think scarcity thing, right,
- 37:07Speaker 4: it's like this, it's like all this it's actually hard
- 37:09Speaker 4: to get that original one. You have to get the you.
- 37:12Speaker 3: And there's like a particular brand or something. Yeah. Yeah,
- 37:16Speaker 3: I just don't think of Unilever.
- 37:18Speaker 5: No, I don't know, it's probably now it's yeah exactly.
- 37:22Speaker 3: Yeah, I just don't think of Dubai as a chocolate town,
- 37:26Speaker 3: so like for them to suddenly have a famous chocolate bars.
- 37:29Speaker 4: They're not a chocolate town, but they are a town
- 37:32Speaker 4: in need of some good, good ribes, good breats.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Yeah, they haven't had vibes.
- 37:40Speaker 4: Please, we need a good thing instead of human trafficking
- 37:45Speaker 4: and mobs.
- 37:46Speaker 5: Stuff.
- 37:46Speaker 3: Let's do candy.
- 37:47Speaker 5: Let's do candy. Well, candy, it's cute.
- 37:50Speaker 4: How was your trip to do funny? Yeah, it's you
- 37:55Speaker 4: do Bai man. Yeah, it's it is what you think
- 37:59Speaker 4: it is. The old city is very interesting, and they
- 38:03Speaker 4: have those you know, a harbor with those boats that
- 38:06Speaker 4: are you know, like the beautiful school boats right, yeah,
- 38:10Speaker 4: that make a good screensaver or something.
- 38:12Speaker 5: Yeah exactly. You go to the gold soup and the
- 38:15Speaker 5: spice market.
- 38:17Speaker 3: See this part sounds fun?
- 38:18Speaker 5: Yeah yeah, it's I mean it's amazing.
- 38:20Speaker 3: Yeah. Co part that everybody knows about Dubai seems more
- 38:23Speaker 3: just like going to Las Vegas or something.
- 38:25Speaker 5: Yeah, it's like ultra bling, right, ultra.
- 38:30Speaker 4: You know, they're westernizing very quickly, and so there's kind
- 38:35Speaker 4: of like bars you can drink at and stuff and
- 38:38Speaker 4: I don't know. Yeah, it's they have like a seven
- 38:40Speaker 4: star hotel and they'll be like the biggest seven star
- 38:44Speaker 4: hotel and they'll and the inauguration was Tiger Woods golfing
- 38:48Speaker 4: off of the Road and Drake has a terrible people
- 38:52Speaker 4: that have been mentioned on this episode of The Tiger Woods. Drake, Now,
- 38:56Speaker 4: do you think this is a good gift? I think
- 38:58Speaker 4: this is a nice gift.
- 38:59Speaker 3: I like to Haaven's kind of weird, right, yeah, And
- 39:01Speaker 3: I like to have a pack of cards around.
- 39:03Speaker 4: What's your best gift besides maybe that this one's really good?
- 39:07Speaker 3: You as James Joyce. Yeah, this is a really recent
- 39:10Speaker 3: gift for Michael Yury and I thought this was shocking
- 39:13Speaker 3: to see I got someone at one point got a
- 39:16Speaker 3: gift certificate to the indoor skydiving, which I had never
- 39:19Speaker 3: done before. Did you do it? I did it?
- 39:22Speaker 5: And you felt like the feeling I felt.
- 39:24Speaker 3: The feeling You don't get to do it alone, you
- 39:26Speaker 3: have to do it with the instructor. Whack yeah, I
- 39:29Speaker 3: think they should just throw you in there.
- 39:30Speaker 5: I think throw you in there. See what happens.
- 39:33Speaker 3: You're flipping around, slamming against the ceiling. But it was fun.
- 39:37Speaker 3: I think they have since closed down, which is a shame.
- 39:40Speaker 3: But I was just I'll tell you what.
- 39:42Speaker 4: I'm going to show you something right now, what and
- 39:44Speaker 4: maybe we can if we if this works, whatever works.
- 39:48Speaker 4: I was in Ireland and it's funny. I just took
- 39:52Speaker 4: a picture of this old painting.
- 39:55Speaker 5: At like the hotel.
- 39:58Speaker 4: You know, the hotel was built into an old building
- 40:00Speaker 4: and I took a picture of this painting and I'm sorry,
- 40:05Speaker 4: this is not something a plan, but I think this
- 40:07Speaker 4: might look a little bit like you too. Oh my god,
- 40:10Speaker 4: what's happening? This is like you're in better shape than
- 40:12Speaker 4: this guy.
- 40:13Speaker 3: But check it out. Check this redhead out. That's my
- 40:18Speaker 3: dream lost just a little bit. That really does let
- 40:21Speaker 3: me like that.
- 40:22Speaker 5: I'm gonna text you.
- 40:23Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm gonna text you because I'll share that with people.
- 40:26Speaker 3: That's so incredible and I think you like.
- 40:28Speaker 4: At first, I was like wow, usually guys like this
- 40:31Speaker 4: and pictures are not redheads. And I was like, this
- 40:33Speaker 4: guy looks like Dave Mustaane but now I look at
- 40:35Speaker 4: it, it looks like you.
- 40:36Speaker 3: It does look a little bit like Dave Mustaine as well.
- 40:38Speaker 4: And I was gonna put it on instant with the
- 40:41Speaker 4: tag Dane Mustaine because that's brilliant kind of stuff I
- 40:46Speaker 4: come up with.
- 40:46Speaker 3: I would love to own a wig like that, right, Yeah,
- 40:49Speaker 3: to have that just stacked just like just's got a
- 40:52Speaker 3: weigh like forty pounds. Yeah, it's horsehair or some shit. Wow.
- 40:56Speaker 3: That's the thing I noticed when I go to museums
- 40:59Speaker 3: with older painting is when they paint the Baby Jesus,
- 41:02Speaker 3: he often has red hair holding a little scepter. Know
- 41:06Speaker 3: what that whole thing is? Yeah, I often think of that,
- 41:10Speaker 3: or he's holding coins.
- 41:11Speaker 4: He's holding that holy hand grenade like uh yeah, scepter
- 41:14Speaker 4: with like a cross.
- 41:15Speaker 3: Yeah exactly. Yeah, yeah, I identify with that a lot.
- 41:18Speaker 3: But now I'm just being surrounded by these paintings of
- 41:21Speaker 3: redheaded manon.
- 41:22Speaker 4: It'd be cool if you could be a scepter guy.
- 41:24Speaker 4: Oh oh yeah, Bridge Alway's got that scepter. Now, who
- 41:27Speaker 4: carries the scepter? Drives around with the sceptra scepter? Or
- 41:30Speaker 4: do you buy a scepter?
- 41:32Speaker 5: I know you have to go to Rome. You have
- 41:34Speaker 5: to go to the Vatican.
- 41:36Speaker 3: No, But I do think this is a good thing.
- 41:38Speaker 3: It's a nice thing to just have in the junk
- 41:40Speaker 3: drawer in case you get bored or want to play
- 41:42Speaker 3: with somebody and it's there.
- 41:44Speaker 4: They're means tested, you know, right, it seems like that
- 41:47Speaker 4: from the nineties or something, doesn't.
- 41:48Speaker 5: I feel like their nineties or eighties or totally.
- 41:51Speaker 3: They're classy.
- 41:52Speaker 4: They're classy, kind of like old cards, and they put
- 41:54Speaker 4: effort into them.
- 41:55Speaker 3: Right them gym grant still open. It's huge. Okay, Yeah,
- 41:59Speaker 3: which one did they implode recently?
- 42:01Speaker 1: Oh?
- 42:02Speaker 4: They did implode something right before I got there, and
- 42:04Speaker 4: everyone was talking about it, just like the Blackjack Dealer
- 42:08Speaker 4: was literally like.
- 42:09Speaker 3: You see an implosion. I'm going to be there for
- 42:12Speaker 3: an implosion.
- 42:13Speaker 4: I know I want to do stand up special, just
- 42:15Speaker 4: like all right and then like do it three two one.
- 42:19Speaker 5: And that's my time.
- 42:21Speaker 4: Great, make that happen, I know, I know it'd be
- 42:24Speaker 4: so great.
- 42:25Speaker 3: Yeah, I think it would be fun to see. And
- 42:27Speaker 3: they do it probably every few years. Something's getting imploded
- 42:30Speaker 3: to make room for a new, right, new casino.
- 42:32Speaker 4: You should do it in the Ray or the brad
- 42:34Speaker 4: Garrett Club, you know, in the Brad Garrett Club.
- 42:36Speaker 5: You're in there. They keep it, you know, keep it
- 42:39Speaker 5: the same.
- 42:41Speaker 3: I've had the popcorn from that club. Really yes, Oh
- 42:45Speaker 3: great popcorn. Great popcorn. Popcorn needs to be good.
- 42:49Speaker 4: Ray right, do you have a favorite casino in Vegas
- 42:54Speaker 4: other than the Golden Nugget? You know, Circus Circus for
- 42:58Speaker 4: the kids, they're really hanging in there. Yeah, it's it's
- 43:02Speaker 4: just like a magic Yeah. I mean they're the casinos
- 43:05Speaker 4: are just like they kind of run together. There's a
- 43:09Speaker 4: really bad one called Treasure Island. I have good feelings,
- 43:13Speaker 4: but not really like. There's a one called ex Caliber.
- 43:16Speaker 4: I've never actually been to. It's basically, uh, what's that thing?
- 43:19Speaker 4: Medieval Times?
- 43:20Speaker 3: They do a Medieval Times type saying at ex Caliber,
- 43:23Speaker 3: I've never been to that one.
- 43:24Speaker 4: It's the one that shaped like a castle. I think
- 43:26Speaker 4: it was a roller coaster took New York, New York
- 43:29Speaker 4: cracks me up. I think Caesar's Palace is probably my
- 43:31Speaker 4: favorite one because it's like you walk through parts of
- 43:32Speaker 4: it and you recognize.
- 43:33Speaker 3: It from Oh, various things. They've got that underground.
- 43:36Speaker 4: Mall, the underground mall, the overground mall, well, I've got
- 43:40Speaker 4: my cards, now let's go. It's a I don't even
- 43:43Speaker 4: know how to play black track, Like this is my problem.
- 43:45Speaker 4: I don't play card games often enough to remember the rules.
- 43:48Speaker 4: So whenever someone invites me to a poker night or something,
- 43:51Speaker 4: I'm like, well, I just what do I have to
- 43:53Speaker 4: do train before I come. I think it's useful to
- 43:57Speaker 4: like look up if you're going to a poker I
- 44:01Speaker 4: go online, go on YouTube and look up like just
- 44:05Speaker 4: classic hands like phil Ivy and Ship like that. Because
- 44:09Speaker 4: poker is very fun. I think it's worth learning to
- 44:12Speaker 4: actually play.
- 44:14Speaker 3: It right when I'm in it, it's like a nice
- 44:17Speaker 3: social activity.
- 44:18Speaker 4: Yeah, and you're kind of like lying to people and like,
- 44:21Speaker 4: you know, it's like it's a it's an interesting thing.
- 44:24Speaker 4: And I yeah, I've I've I've kind of gotten down
- 44:26Speaker 4: this rabbit hole of like watching chess and poker online
- 44:29Speaker 4: because I'm a cool dude, and uh yeah, it's uh
- 44:33Speaker 4: pretty rad.
- 44:35Speaker 3: Is there any quick version of a card game we
- 44:37Speaker 3: could play?
- 44:39Speaker 4: Is this call?
- 44:40Speaker 3: Like you play go fish? I think that's let's go.
- 44:44Speaker 3: Let's see here.
- 44:45Speaker 4: Let me pretend to be able to do this here
- 44:50Speaker 4: and then you go.
- 44:51Speaker 5: Yeah, see, I'm I'm just not good, so we can
- 44:55Speaker 5: do uh.
- 44:56Speaker 3: I'll be the.
- 44:56Speaker 4: Dealer, you're the blackjack player. Okay, so we burn and
- 45:01Speaker 4: then we I take this card, we do.
- 45:05Speaker 3: This, Okay, this five and.
- 45:11Speaker 4: And so you're betting. So you have a fifteen. So
- 45:14Speaker 4: you have a fifteen. I'm showing an eight. Chances are
- 45:17Speaker 4: I'm going to flip a most of the cards in
- 45:19Speaker 4: the deck are worth ten. Oh, chances are I'm going
- 45:23Speaker 4: to flip and you're going to I'm going to have
- 45:24Speaker 4: an eighteen, which will beat this. But so you can,
- 45:29Speaker 4: you know, take a hit on fifteen or you can
- 45:32Speaker 4: take a hit.
- 45:33Speaker 5: Most people say stay on sixteen.
- 45:35Speaker 4: So you you're you're if you take a hit, you're
- 45:37Speaker 4: betting that you will get you know, six or six.
- 45:42Speaker 4: And that's the bet because most likely I will get
- 45:44Speaker 4: an eighteen and you will bust.
- 45:46Speaker 3: So I should go all in. So yeah, let's hit
- 45:51Speaker 3: all in is poker.
- 45:54Speaker 4: And oh so making another good lesson the house rules.
- 46:04Speaker 3: We're gonna play a game. I need a number between
- 46:06Speaker 3: one and ten from you.
- 46:08Speaker 5: I'll say seven.
- 46:09Speaker 3: Okay, right now, I have to do some like calculating
- 46:12Speaker 3: so you can promote, recommend, do whatever you want.
- 46:14Speaker 5: Everybody watch Fallout season two. It's a great show.
- 46:17Speaker 4: It's a science fiction show and I am a great
- 46:22Speaker 4: character in it. And we're shooting Fallout season three and
- 46:27Speaker 4: that will come out. Everybody watched Margo's Got Money Troubles.
- 46:31Speaker 4: That's on Apple TV. Stars El Fanning, Michelle Pfeiffer, Nicole Kidman,
- 46:34Speaker 4: and Greg Kinnear, all great actors. The pedigrees high and
- 46:38Speaker 4: you'll see me in a very small part.
- 46:39Speaker 5: But I was very excited about it.
- 46:41Speaker 4: And God, everybody watched Kroll Show, a great show by
- 46:46Speaker 4: Nick Kroll that I helped classic rite produce and start
- 46:50Speaker 4: in and one of the classic shows.
- 46:53Speaker 3: Where can you watch that now?
- 46:56Speaker 4: It's a it's a struggle, struggle unbelievable. I think, yeah,
- 47:00Speaker 4: it's just like what's going on? There's a I think
- 47:02Speaker 4: you can watch it on HBO Max. Okay, you can
- 47:04Speaker 4: get it with the Paramount Plus subscription. It's on a
- 47:07Speaker 4: lot of places. Oh it is great, Okay, cool, It's
- 47:11Speaker 4: just I should always know that finding things.
- 47:13Speaker 5: It's on HBO.
- 47:13Speaker 3: I thought it was on HBO Max, but that it
- 47:15Speaker 3: makes sense. I think there's some central stuff is popping
- 47:17Speaker 3: up over there.
- 47:18Speaker 5: Right right instead of just uh, what they usually do. Yeah, right, Oh,
- 47:24Speaker 5: I love to.
- 47:25Speaker 3: Yeah, of course.
- 47:26Speaker 4: South.
- 47:28Speaker 3: We're gonna first, we're gonna play a game called invite List.
- 47:30Speaker 3: And what I'm going to do is I'm going to
- 47:31Speaker 3: start naming a list of celebrities Martin Luther King. No,
- 47:34Speaker 3: I'm gonna name though, President Bill Clinton, and you're going
- 47:40Speaker 3: to tell me if they're invited or not invited. And
- 47:42Speaker 3: once you get to ten, that's the party. Does that
- 47:44Speaker 3: make perfect sense?
- 47:45Speaker 5: Like that?
- 47:46Speaker 3: And you can say why or why not or you
- 47:47Speaker 3: don't have to whatever. Okay, all right, all right, many
- 47:51Speaker 3: Pakiao not invited, Vin Diesel invited, Ice Spice No, okay.
- 47:59Speaker 4: Zachary Quinto I grew up with and took high school
- 48:03Speaker 4: drama classes in Pittsburgh with Zachary Quinta. Whoa, yeah, yeah,
- 48:08Speaker 4: that's incredible. Well so no, no, Zach Zachary is a
- 48:13Speaker 4: nice guy and we were probably like sixteen seventeen.
- 48:17Speaker 5: We were in the same thing.
- 48:19Speaker 3: No, that's crazy, but he I.
- 48:20Speaker 4: Went to see him in his high school musical and
- 48:23Speaker 4: he was in the Pirates of Pinzance.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Oh and we played.
- 48:25Speaker 4: The the major general class character. And he was so
- 48:30Speaker 4: good in that that I was like, I need to
- 48:32Speaker 4: like because we were like doing high school theater and
- 48:36Speaker 4: then we took classes outside. We were like, oh, man,
- 48:38Speaker 4: I was doing improv in the city and stuff. And
- 48:41Speaker 4: then I saw him do that and I remember being like, oh,
- 48:44Speaker 4: he's like a professional actor and now was Zachary Quinto,
- 48:47Speaker 4: but like whoa I was. He was so good in
- 48:50Speaker 4: this role and I think he won an award. They
- 48:52Speaker 4: had the Gene Kelly Awards, and I think he won
- 48:55Speaker 4: an award for it. But he was like I was
- 48:57Speaker 4: just like, Oh, this guy's I'm like lucky to know this.
- 49:00Speaker 4: This dude's you can really sing, like crazyly like you
- 49:06Speaker 4: like me, you cannot sing. I'm not inspiring other high schoolers.
- 49:09Speaker 4: So I'm gonna say no, just because familiarity. You've had
- 49:12Speaker 4: an attempt that guy.
- 49:14Speaker 3: He's a bastard, Okay, Cynthia Arrivo, uh no, Chris Evans, nope,
- 49:22Speaker 3: Pedro Pascal, Caroline Levitt No, why not? I mean she's
- 49:28Speaker 3: so cool, she's a cool. She seems like a fun hay,
- 49:32Speaker 3: totally normal. First podcast is this you're just finding out?
- 49:37Speaker 5: Caroline?
- 49:39Speaker 4: Oh? Of course Caroline, Yeah.
- 49:42Speaker 3: Courtney Love.
- 49:45Speaker 4: Oh man, if she didn't kill Kurt Cobaine, maybe, but no,
- 49:50Speaker 4: she seems annoying as hell.
- 49:51Speaker 5: I think she's funny.
- 49:53Speaker 3: I think she's very funny. She's entertaining behavior.
- 49:57Speaker 5: She's a diva. It's a diva move to kill ultimate
- 50:01Speaker 5: deep but.
- 50:01Speaker 4: Sorry, I'm sure you didn't kill him. But if you did,
- 50:06Speaker 4: total diva. So no, no, I think she would take
- 50:11Speaker 4: it over too much. Okay, right, she would be the
- 50:13Speaker 4: star you need to be the star the hell?
- 50:15Speaker 5: Yeah about me, baby.
- 50:16Speaker 3: This is interesting. He's back again. Tiger Woods okay. Ian McKellen, Yeah, okay,
- 50:23Speaker 3: gotta say yeah. Gandalf he seems like a good time.
- 50:25Speaker 3: Hailey Steinfeld Uh not particularly no, okay, Jeff Goldblue, Yeah, okay,
- 50:32Speaker 3: I think he's pretty cool. Another Pittsburgh guy. Yeah, oh interesting.
- 50:37Speaker 4: Rob Schneider if it was nineteen ninety whatever, when was
- 50:41Speaker 4: he like five, nineteen ninety five and he was still
- 50:45Speaker 4: the guy that like I was like, so I thought
- 50:47Speaker 4: he was so funny. Sure, of course his politics are
- 50:51Speaker 4: not the best, but he's almost a cartoon of that.
- 50:54Speaker 4: Like I'm like, you know, but absolutely not is the answer. No,
- 50:59Speaker 4: Please keep him as far away as possible.
- 51:03Speaker 3: Grimes. This is a tough list you're getting here. No grimes,
- 51:08Speaker 3: is uh, she's I'm not like a fan of.
- 51:10Speaker 4: Her, moron kind of she's kind of gone off a
- 51:14Speaker 4: moron cliff. Unfortunately she made music that made go you know,
- 51:17Speaker 4: he's good. You're almost as good as the really good
- 51:23Speaker 4: person Tony Hawk. No, I've had enough. Jerramo del Toro.
- 51:29Speaker 4: I gotta say yeah.
- 51:31Speaker 3: I think he seems like a very fun time.
- 51:32Speaker 5: I bet he'd be a blast.
- 51:34Speaker 4: Linda Hogan. Don't know her ex widow of Hulk Oh no, no,
- 51:41Speaker 4: no one connected to Hulk Hogan. I mean he's just
- 51:43Speaker 4: like he's just like Florida scum garbage man.
- 51:49Speaker 5: Regina King, Regina King, I'd probably say yes, yeah, she.
- 51:53Speaker 4: Seems I mean, she's just such a great actor. I
- 51:56Speaker 4: bring a little bit of class to the party. I
- 51:57Speaker 4: think McKellen's got the class. Regina King, I'm gonna say no, yeah.
- 52:02Speaker 3: You're gonna get iced out by great actors.
- 52:04Speaker 5: Sorry.
- 52:05Speaker 3: Nico Case, Oh yeah, of course, yeah, the best.
- 52:08Speaker 4: I love genius. Shout out to Nico Case. Truly legends
- 52:13Speaker 4: and by the way, it just seems cool. Has like
- 52:15Speaker 4: she's funny. Like I've interacted with her online and been like, oh,
- 52:18Speaker 4: you're like a normal person.
- 52:19Speaker 3: Yeah, she seems like just a normal person who happens
- 52:21Speaker 3: to have one of the best talent. I mean, just
- 52:24Speaker 3: an unbelievable talented person in the world. Yeah, Zoe Kravitz.
- 52:29Speaker 4: Hmm, I'm gonna say no, but just because I I
- 52:35Speaker 4: I think she's so gorgeous. Okay, that's the thing about
- 52:38Speaker 4: Zoe Kravis. She's very beautiful.
- 52:40Speaker 3: Right.
- 52:40Speaker 4: I did a commercial I like wrote. They had me
- 52:43Speaker 4: write a rocks for rock band. Okay, ten years ago.
- 52:48Speaker 4: They were like, we're gonna bring you in to write
- 52:49Speaker 4: this commercial. And it was a commercial with Lenny Kravitz,
- 52:53Speaker 4: and so I got to go and he had just
- 52:57Speaker 4: played the Greek the night before, so he was just
- 52:59Speaker 4: in his trailer. Six am. I went in and met
- 53:03Speaker 4: a shirtless Lenny Kravin, Like, god, who was the nicest
- 53:07Speaker 4: person I.
- 53:08Speaker 5: Have ever met? Is a star and you're just one
- 53:11Speaker 5: of those guys.
- 53:12Speaker 4: You're like, oh sir, oh God, I just I you know,
- 53:16Speaker 4: I'm forgetting who I am. You're so charismatic who And
- 53:20Speaker 4: he literally this is a surreal day. It's like six am.
- 53:25Speaker 4: Me and this director are like, hey, what's up, you know, like,
- 53:28Speaker 4: what's up, dude? And he's like, all right, let me
- 53:31Speaker 4: try these jackets. And he goes into the back and
- 53:33Speaker 4: just tries on one snake skin leather jacket over his
- 53:37Speaker 4: bare chest. Snake skin lift. What do you guys think
- 53:39Speaker 4: of this? Let's see the next one. What do you
- 53:41Speaker 4: guys think of this? Snake skin or leather jacket? What
- 53:43Speaker 4: do you think of this one?
- 53:44Speaker 3: This is cool?
- 53:44Speaker 5: Yeah, They're like, you're a beautiful rock star.
- 53:47Speaker 3: You could just be covered in garbage.
- 53:49Speaker 4: And then he was so it was fascinating. He got
- 53:51Speaker 4: a call and he was like, oh, it's Zoe. You
- 53:54Speaker 4: want to say hi, And he's so nice and I
- 53:56Speaker 4: was just like, hey, what's up? And she wasn't as
- 53:58Speaker 4: big as no doesn't she was still probably really Fury
- 54:01Speaker 4: Road yet or anything, and uh but uh then we
- 54:04Speaker 4: talked to her and Lisa Bonet and I was.
- 54:06Speaker 5: Like, this is the best guy in the falking world.
- 54:08Speaker 4: He gives me what I want, which is talking to
- 54:11Speaker 4: celebrities even more that you're related.
- 54:13Speaker 5: To, you know, and he's got some good gems. Man.
- 54:17Speaker 5: I get that.

- 54:29Speaker 3: I said no gifts. I said no gifts. Ken burns Uh.
- 54:35Speaker 4: I feel like there's two likelihood that he would bum
- 54:38Speaker 4: me the fucking so now, okay, he'd be like, the
- 54:41Speaker 4: world is crumbling.
- 54:42Speaker 3: You know the history of man. You know he's seen
- 54:45Speaker 3: it all, but you see it later. Man, let's get
- 54:47Speaker 3: some fucking tell a joke. Yeah, Melinda Gates.
- 54:52Speaker 5: Yes, but she would have to like pay.
- 54:54Speaker 4: Oh if she gave me like like two million dollars,
- 54:59Speaker 4: pay her way in your party.
- 55:01Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 55:01Speaker 4: Yeah, that's like if you can see like Club Random
- 55:04Speaker 4: with Kevin Spacey.
- 55:05Speaker 5: I wonder if Bill Maher is like.
- 55:07Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll have you on the show, give me five
- 55:09Speaker 4: million dollars probably right right right, it's like pay to
- 55:11Speaker 4: play the name club brand. I'll never get over it.
- 55:14Speaker 4: Oh white wash you, I'll sye wash you pretend you're

- 55:37Speaker 3: He's having a huge moment, and it feels earned.
- 55:40Speaker 4: It feels earned, but it's like earning it now because
- 55:44Speaker 4: he's on that Did you watch the Michaels movie. No,
- 55:48Speaker 4: he is good for you. But see, I only celebrate true. Okay,
- 55:54Speaker 4: that's what we're talking about, these monsters. This has been
- 55:58Speaker 4: a year of art, the success celebrating some of the
- 56:02Speaker 4: I mean, come on.
- 56:03Speaker 3: The success of that movie was I felt like I'm
- 56:05Speaker 3: in another dimension. I know, yes, but.
- 56:08Speaker 4: Man Coleman Domingo man in that movie, You're just like, Wow,
- 56:12Speaker 4: He's a great transformative type of Daniel day Lewis kind
- 56:17Speaker 4: of actor that is so good, very good love acting,
- 56:22Speaker 4: and he does it well.
- 56:23Speaker 3: So yeah, I'd have him.
- 56:24Speaker 4: Yeah, all right, Vince Staples potentially, but no, Okay, Kylie Minogue, No,
- 56:31Speaker 4: don't know her. Questlove yes, Quest loves in all right,

- 56:46Speaker 5: Speaking of.
- 56:48Speaker 3: Stephen Tyler. No, Unfortunately, there was a time in my
- 56:53Speaker 3: life where I would have been like, yeah, Kevin James,
- 56:58Speaker 3: now Uncle Cracker, I don't know enough about it. Okay,
- 57:02Speaker 3: Tom Hardy, now, Miranda Lambert, who's that? I Carly Miranda

- 57:17Speaker 3: I think I may have seen her at home Depot
- 57:19Speaker 3: once amazing. I'm not sure, but you know it looked
- 57:22Speaker 3: like her, and I choose to believe it was Helen
- 57:24Speaker 3: ed Sheeran.
- 57:26Speaker 5: Come on, Travis Kelly, I am Travis Kelsey. No, thank you.
- 57:32Speaker 5: He forgot to invite his parents to his wedding?
- 57:34Speaker 3: Is that true?
- 57:35Speaker 4: Did you know that he gave their seats to Ellen
- 57:38Speaker 4: and Diddy? Would that be harmed? He's just like, is
- 57:43Speaker 4: like goodheartedly forgets. He's like, I'm gonna do this wedding.
- 57:47Speaker 4: Oh mom, Dad, shit, I gave your seats to.
- 57:49Speaker 5: Ellen, and.
- 57:53Speaker 3: What a bummer. Sabrina Carpenter. I love her, but no,
- 57:58Speaker 3: Steph Curry, no, Michelle Yo, no, mister wonderful garbage, Bill Murray. No,
- 58:07Speaker 3: Shaquille O'Neal. I'd have the general, but not Shaquille general general.
- 58:16Speaker 3: He's got the authority. What a team. They should solve crimes.
- 58:20Speaker 3: They should jelly roll. Come on, I don't even know
- 58:24Speaker 3: what he does. He just goes to jail. Oh man.
- 58:29Speaker 4: He came out like when I first learned about him.
- 58:31Speaker 4: He was like, oh, I'm so sorry for what I damn.
- 58:34Speaker 4: And I was like, what did you do?
- 58:36Speaker 3: Man? What do you do?
- 58:37Speaker 5: Besides that, the main thing I know is crime.
- 58:42Speaker 3: Rihanna, that's tough.
- 58:45Speaker 5: Yes, it's Rihanna.
- 58:46Speaker 3: Rihanna, that's right. You can't say no to that.
- 58:49Speaker 4: I can't say no to Rihanna. She's too much. She's
- 58:52Speaker 4: too cool, too beautiful, too talent. You could also charge
- 58:55Speaker 4: her for to enter the party.
- 58:57Speaker 3: She's a billion I.
- 58:57Speaker 5: Would never know. I would never charge an artist.
- 59:00Speaker 3: Oh interesting, just a person who's like, I'm rich, I
- 59:03Speaker 3: just happened to have money.
- 59:04Speaker 4: Yeah, what's interesting about me is rich?
- 59:07Speaker 3: I am evil? Elis will you read down that list
- 59:11Speaker 3: of names that.
- 59:12Speaker 6: Yeah, absolutely, We've got Vin diesel Ian McKellen, Jeff Goldbloom,
- 59:18Speaker 6: Guermo del Toro, Nico Case, Melinda Gates, Coleman, Domingo Questlove,
- 59:25Speaker 6: Olivia Rodrigo, and Rihanna.
- 59:27Speaker 3: Whoa pretty good. Yeah.
- 59:31Speaker 4: Olivia Rodrigo is a little bit she's a little young, sure,
- 59:35Speaker 4: but I thought that she'd be I kind of like
- 59:37Speaker 4: what she's doing or she's attaching herself to interesting kind
- 59:41Speaker 4: of artists and being like, I'm actually trying to do
- 59:43Speaker 4: a good thing.
- 59:44Speaker 5: Yeah, but you know she's been maybe too young.
- 59:46Speaker 4: I made a mistake there, and I feel like in retrospect,
- 59:48Speaker 4: Vin Diesel would ruin the party.
- 59:52Speaker 5: He would find a way to get in there. He'd
- 59:54Speaker 5: just be dark.
- 59:55Speaker 4: He'd be like you'd walk into the kitchen. He'd be
- 59:57Speaker 4: in the dark, and he'd just be like, won't be.
- 1:00:02Speaker 3: Just bringing down the vix Like you can go, man,
- 1:00:06Speaker 3: the Rock won text me together.
- 1:00:12Speaker 4: I'm sure they have a thing because he probably feels
- 1:00:14Speaker 4: like he launched the Rock, partially brought him on. I mean,
- 1:00:18Speaker 4: gave him so much money, and the Rock is like
- 1:00:21Speaker 4: I'm doing Malana.
- 1:00:23Speaker 5: I'm a Vin Diesel head. I mean anything he does,
- 1:00:27Speaker 5: I'm in.
- 1:00:29Speaker 3: I feel like I haven't seen him in many things.
- 1:00:30Speaker 4: Just fast and furious. I mean, he just makes a
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: good fucking car movie.
- 1:00:34Speaker 3: I love it. He knows how to do it. Yeah. Well,
- 1:00:37Speaker 3: let's answer a listener question people are writing into. I said,
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: no gifts at gmail dot com, kind of just begging
- 1:00:42Speaker 3: for answers. Great, this is We moved to our smallish
- 1:00:46Speaker 3: town population five thousand, two years ago. Our direct neighbors
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: are great neighbors. I guess that must mean next door
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: or something. One couple seems to be around our age
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: and has similar hobbies. They host game nights, rescue pats,
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: et cetera. We we'd like to befriend them and get
- 1:01:01Speaker 3: to know the other neighbors better. Some things to note,
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: we're both shy. Some people down the street are iffy,
- 1:01:07Speaker 3: so we're not interested in meeting them. And when I
- 1:01:10Speaker 3: say we, I mostly mean myself, as my husband is
- 1:01:12Speaker 3: not interested in potential neighborhood drama. Do you have any suggestions, thanks, Emma.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: So they moved into a new town and they're looking
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: to make friends with the neighbors.
- 1:01:21Speaker 4: I advice to these people, walk into the fucking ocean,
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: because you've made me go to sleep with boredom.
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: We're shy.
- 1:01:27Speaker 4: That's how you describe yourself. See you later launch yourself
- 1:01:31Speaker 4: into the sun. Stole that from somebody Tom Sharpling. Don't
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: launch yourself, walk into the ocean and embrace death. That's
- 1:01:40Speaker 4: what I have to say. That's a decent advice. I
- 1:01:43Speaker 4: think that's a decent advice.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: Good for anyone these days. How do you introduce yourselves
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: to I moved into my house six years ago and
- 1:01:50Speaker 3: I still feel like I don't know a lot of
- 1:01:51Speaker 3: my neighbors. It's a weird thing.
- 1:01:53Speaker 4: Have your neighborhood almost burned down because I had to evacuate.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: I'm in a neighborhood that had to evacuate for the
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: altaire and saw the flames like licking the It would
- 1:02:05Speaker 4: have had to cross the highway to get to us,
- 1:02:08Speaker 4: but nonetheless it got.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: Very close to the east side there.
- 1:02:11Speaker 4: Yeah, it was very horrible and the the we had
- 1:02:14Speaker 4: to evacuate because of the smoke and the it was crazy.
- 1:02:18Speaker 4: But we had to wake up at four in the
- 1:02:20Speaker 4: morning and get everything that was valuable night and go outside.
- 1:02:24Speaker 4: And all my neighbors were bonding and they were like,
- 1:02:28Speaker 4: get your hose out, spray down your house. I sprayed
- 1:02:31Speaker 4: down my house and then after that every time I
- 1:02:34Speaker 4: know everyone in my neighborhood.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: It was a great little intro.
- 1:02:37Speaker 4: Unfortunately it was a disaster, but I was like, there's
- 1:02:40Speaker 4: like a neighborhood boss that like helps everybody.
