Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
• 0:06
rooted in scripture and relevant for today, March 10th.
• 0:11
Standing strong When life blows. Have you ever noticed how
• 0:14
quickly things can change? One moment everything feels calm
• 0:18
and the next it's like a storm rolled in.
• 0:20
  Misunderstandings, pressure, temptation, unexpected setbacks.
• 0:25
Life has a way of testing what you're really standing on.
• 0:29
Proverbs chapter 12, verses 2 to 3 says a good man obtains favor
• 0:33
from the Lord, but a man of evil devices he condemns.
• 0:38
A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the
• 0:40
righteous will never be moved. That word established matters.
• 0:45
Everyone wants stability, everyone wants something solid.
• 0:49
But Proverbs makes it clear. Wickedness might look strong for
• 0:52
a moment, but it doesn't last. It has no deep roots, only
• 0:56
  righteousness. Living God's way creates
• 0:58
something unshakeable. Psalm 29 verses one to two says
• 1:03
Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
• 1:06
Ascribe to the Lord the glory, do His name, worship the Lord in
• 1:09
the splendor of holiness. The rest of that Psalm describes
• 1:13
God's voice like a storm, powerful, thunderous, shaking
• 1:17
forests and mountains. It reminds us that God's power
• 1:21
is greater than any storm we face.
• 1:24
The same voice that shakes the earth is the voice that
• 1:26
  strengthens his people. And Job.
• 1:29
Chapters 20 to 21 remind us that wickedness eventually collapses.
• 1:34
It may seem hidden. It may seem like no one sees,
• 1:37
but sin carries consequences. Shortcuts may look attractive,
• 1:42
compromise may feel easier, but in the end, unstable foundations
• 1:46
  give way. Storms reveal roots.
• 1:49
When life blows hard, when friends pressure you to
• 1:52
compromise, when stress tempts you to cut corners, when
• 1:55
emotions push you toward unhealthy choices, what holds
• 1:59
you steady? If your confidence is built on
• 2:02
popularity, success, or appearance, the storm will shake
• 2:05
you. But if your roots are deep in
• 2:07
God's truth, you may sway, but you won't fall.
• 2:11
Choosing righteousness doesn't mean life becomes calm.
• 2:14
It means you're anchored. When it is, worship shifts your
• 2:17
focus. When you ascribe glory to God,
• 2:19
you remind your heart who is truly in control.
• 2:23
You remind yourself that the storm is loud, but God is
• 2:25
louder. The pressure is real, but God is
• 2:28
stronger. You don't have to chase quick
• 2:30
winds or blend into every crowd. You don't have to follow the
• 2:34
unstable patterns you see around you.
• 2:37
God invites you to stand firm, rooted in His favor, grounded in
• 2:41
His truth, strengthened by His power.
• 2:43
The winds will come. The question is not if they
• 2:47
blow. The question is whether your
• 2:48
roots run deep enough to hold. Let's pray.
• 2:52
Heavenly Father, thank you for being my strength.
• 2:54
When life feels like a storm. Help me build my life on
• 2:58
righteousness and truth, not on shortcuts or compromise.
• 3:02
When pressure comes, remind me that your power is greater than
• 3:05
any challenge I face. Deepen my roots in You so I can
• 3:09
stand firm, steady and faithful no matter what blows my way.
• 3:12
In Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important
• 3:17
question in your life deserves more than a shallow answer?
• 3:20

Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
• 4:39
Bible reading plan. Proverbs chapter 12 verses two
• 4:44
to three World English Bible. A good man shall obtain favor
• 4:48
from Yahweh, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.
• 4:52
A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of
• 4:55
the righteous shall not be moved.
• 4:57
Psalm Chapter 29 World English Bible A Psalm by David Ascribe
• 5:02
to Yahweh You sons of the mighty.
• 5:04
Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
• 5:06
Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to His name.
• 5:09
Worship Yahweh in holy array. Yahweh's voice is on the waters.
• 5:13
The God of glory thunders even Yahweh on many waters.
• 5:17
Yahweh's voice is powerful. Yahweh's voice is full of
• 5:20
  majesty. Yahweh's voice breaks the
• 5:22
Cedars. Yes, Yahweh breaks in pieces the
• 5:25
Cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also to skip like
• 5:28
a calf. Lebanon and Syrian like a young
• 5:31
wild ox. Yahweh's voice strikes with
• 5:33
flashes of lightning. Yahweh's voice shakes the
• 5:36
wilderness. Yahweh shakes the wilderness of
• 5:38
Kaddish. Yahweh's voice makes the deer
• 5:41
calf and strips the forests bare in His temple.
• 5:44
Everything says glory. Yahweh sat enthroned at the
• 5:47
flood. Yes, Yahweh sits as king
• 5:49
forever. Yahweh will give strength to His
• 5:51
people. Yahweh will bless His people
• 5:53
with peace. Job, Chapters 20 to 21 World
• 5:57
English Bible. Then Zafar the Namathite
• 6:00
answered. Therefore my thoughts answer me
• 6:02
even by reason of my haste. That is in me.
• 6:05
I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame.
• 6:07
The spirit of my understanding answers me.
• 6:10
Don't you know this from old time, since man was placed on
• 6:13
earth, that the triumphing of the wicked is short the joy of
• 6:16
the godless? But for a moment, though his
• 6:19
height mount up to the heavens and his head reached to the
• 6:21
clouds, yet he will perish forever like his own dung.
• 6:25
Those who have seen him will say, where is he?
• 6:27
He will fly away as a dream and will not be found.
• 6:31
Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
• 6:34
The eye which saw him will see him no more, neither will his
• 6:37
place see him anymore. His children will seek the favor
• 6:40
of the poor. His hands will give back his
• 6:42
wealth. His bones are full of his youth,
• 6:45
but youth will lie down with him in the dust.
• 6:47
Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, though he hide it
• 6:50
under his tongue, though he spare it and will not let it go,
• 6:53
but keep it still within his mouth, yet his food and his
• 6:56
bowels is turned. It is cobra venom within him.
• 7:00
He has swallowed down riches and he will vomit them up again.
• 7:03
God will cast them out of his belly.
• 7:05
He will suck cobra venom. The viper's tongue will kill
• 7:08
him. He will not look at the rivers,
• 7:10
the flowing streams of honey and butter.
• 7:12
He will restore that for which he labored and will not swallow
• 7:15
it down. He will not rejoice according to
• 7:18
the substance that he has gotten, for he has oppressed and
• 7:21
forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a
• 7:24
house, and he will not build it up because he knew no quietness
• 7:28
within him. He will not save anything of
• 7:30
that in which he delights. There was nothing left that he
• 7:33
didn't devour. Therefore his prosperity will
• 7:35
not endure in the fullness of his sufficiency.
• 7:38
Distress will overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in
• 7:42
misery will come on him when he is about to fill his belly.
• 7:45
God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him.
• 7:48
It will rain on him while he is eating.
• 7:50
He will flee from the iron weapon.
• 7:52
The bronze arrow will strike him through.
• 7:55
He draws it out and it comes out of his body.
• 7:57
Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver.
• 8:00
Terrors are on him. All darkness is laid up for his
• 8:03
treasures, and unfanned fire will devour him.
• 8:06
It will consume that which is left in his tent.
• 8:09
The heavens will reveal his iniquity.
• 8:11
The earth will rise up against him, the increase of his house
• 8:15
will depart. They will rush away in the day
• 8:17
of his wrath. This is the portion of a wicked
• 8:20
man from God, the heritage appointed to him by God.
• 8:23
Then Job answered. Listen diligently to my speech.
• 8:27
Let this be your consolation. Allow me, and I also will speak
• 8:31
after I have spoken. Mock on.
• 8:33
As for me is my complaint to man.
• 8:35
Why shouldn't I be impatient? Look at me and be astonished.
• 8:38
Lay your hand on your mouth. When I remember I am troubled.
• 8:42
Horror takes hold of my flesh. Why do the wicked live, Become
• 8:45
old, yes, and grow mighty in power.
• 8:48
Their child is established with them in their sight, their
• 8:50
offspring before their eyes. Their houses are safe from fear.
• 8:54
Neither is the rod of God upon them.
• 8:56
Their bulls breed without fail. Their cows calve and don't
• 9:00
miscarry. They send out their little ones
• 9:02
like a flock. Their children dance.
• 9:05
They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice at the sound
• 9:08
of the pipe. They spend their days in
• 9:10
prosperity. In an instant they go down to
• 9:12
Sheol. They tell God, Depart from us,
• 9:15
for we don't want to know about your ways.
• 9:17
What is the Almighty that we should serve Him?
• 9:19
What profit should we have if we pray to Him?
• 9:22
Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand.
• 9:25
The counsel of the wicked is far from me.
• 9:27
How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out that their
• 9:31
calamity comes on them, that God distributes sorrows in His
• 9:34
anger? How often is it that they are a
• 9:36
stubble before the wind, as chaff that the storm carries
• 9:39
away? You say God lays up his iniquity
• 9:42
for his children. Let him recompense it to
• 9:45
himself, that he may know it. Let his own eyes see his
• 9:48
destruction. Let him drink of the wrath of
• 9:50
the Almighty, for what does he care for his house after him
• 9:53
when the number of his months is cut off?
• 9:56
Shall any teach God knowledge, since He judges those who are
• 9:59
high? One dies in his full strength,
• 10:01
being wholly at ease and quiet. His pails are full of milk, the
• 10:05
marrow of his bones is moistened.
• 10:07
Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.
• 10:11
They lie down alike in the dust, the worm covers them.
• 10:14
Behold, I know your thoughts, the plans with which you would
• 10:17
wrong me. For you say, where is the House
• 10:19
of the Prince? Where is the tent in which the
• 10:21
wicked lived? Haven't you asked wayfaring men?
• 10:24
Don't you know their evidences that the evil man is reserved to
• 10:28
the day of calamity, that they are LED out to the day of wrath?
• 10:31
Who will declare his way to his face?
• 10:33
Who will repay him what he has done?
• 10:35
Yet he will be born to the grave.
• 10:37
Men will keep watch over the tomb.
• 10:40
The clouds of the valley will be sweet to him.
• 10:42
All men will draw after him, as there were innumerable before
• 10:45
him. So how can you comfort me with
• 10:48
nonsense? Because in your answers, there
• 10:50
remains only falsehood. Thanks for joining us on Bible
