  Standing strong When life blows. Have you ever noticed how
• 0:14
  quickly things can change? One moment everything feels calm
• 0:18
  and the next it's like a storm rolled in.
• 0:20
  Misunderstandings, pressure, temptation, unexpected setbacks.
• 0:25
  Life has a way of testing what you're really standing on.
• 0:29
  Proverbs chapter 12, verses 2 to 3 says a good man obtains favor
• 0:33
  from the Lord, but a man of evil devices he condemns.
• 0:38
  A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the
• 0:40
  righteous will never be moved. That word established matters.
• 0:45
  Everyone wants stability, everyone wants something solid.
• 0:49
  But Proverbs makes it clear. Wickedness might look strong for
• 0:52
  a moment, but it doesn't last. It has no deep roots, only
• 0:56
  righteousness. Living God's way creates
• 0:58
  something unshakeable. Psalm 29 verses one to two says
• 1:03
  Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
• 1:06
  Ascribe to the Lord the glory, do His name, worship the Lord in
• 1:09
  the splendor of holiness. The rest of that Psalm describes
• 1:13
  God's voice like a storm, powerful, thunderous, shaking
• 1:17
  forests and mountains. It reminds us that God's power
• 1:21
  is greater than any storm we face.
• 1:24
  The same voice that shakes the earth is the voice that
• 1:26
  strengthens his people. And Job.
• 1:29
  Chapters 20 to 21 remind us that wickedness eventually collapses.
• 1:34
  It may seem hidden. It may seem like no one sees,
• 1:37
  but sin carries consequences. Shortcuts may look attractive,
• 1:42
  compromise may feel easier, but in the end, unstable foundations
• 1:46
  give way. Storms reveal roots.
• 1:49
  When life blows hard, when friends pressure you to
• 1:52
  compromise, when stress tempts you to cut corners, when
• 1:55
  emotions push you toward unhealthy choices, what holds
• 1:59
  you steady? If your confidence is built on
• 2:02
  popularity, success, or appearance, the storm will shake
• 2:05
  you. But if your roots are deep in
• 2:07
  God's truth, you may sway, but you won't fall.
• 2:11
  Choosing righteousness doesn't mean life becomes calm.
• 2:14
  It means you're anchored. When it is, worship shifts your
• 2:17
  focus. When you ascribe glory to God,
• 2:19
  you remind your heart who is truly in control.
• 2:23
  You remind yourself that the storm is loud, but God is
• 2:25
  louder. The pressure is real, but God is
• 2:28
  stronger. You don't have to chase quick
• 2:30
  winds or blend into every crowd. You don't have to follow the
• 2:34
  unstable patterns you see around you.
• 2:37
  God invites you to stand firm, rooted in His favor, grounded in
• 2:41
  His truth, strengthened by His power.
• 2:43
  The winds will come. The question is not if they
• 2:47
  blow. The question is whether your
• 2:48
  roots run deep enough to hold. Let's pray.

  Heavenly Father, thank you for being my strength.

  When life feels like a storm. Help me build my life on
• 2:58
  righteousness and truth, not on shortcuts or compromise.

  When pressure comes, remind me that your power is greater than
• 3:05
  any challenge I face. Deepen my roots in You so I can

  stand firm, steady and faithful no matter what blows my way.

  for we don't want to know about your ways.

  What is the Almighty that we should serve Him?

  What profit should we have if we pray to Him?

  Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand.

  The counsel of the wicked is far from me.

  How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out that their
• 9:31
  calamity comes on them, that God distributes sorrows in His
• 9:34
  anger? How often is it that they are a
• 9:36
  stubble before the wind, as chaff that the storm carries
• 9:39
  away? You say God lays up his iniquity
• 9:42
  for his children. Let him recompense it to
• 9:45
  himself, that he may know it. Let his own eyes see his
• 9:48
  destruction. Let him drink of the wrath of
• 9:50
  the Almighty, for what does he care for his house after him
• 9:53
  when the number of his months is cut off?
• 9:56
  Shall any teach God knowledge, since He judges those who are
• 9:59
  high? One dies in his full strength,
• 10:01
  being wholly at ease and quiet. His pails are full of milk, the
• 10:05
  marrow of his bones is moistened.

  Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.

  They lie down alike in the dust, the worm covers them.

  Behold, I know your thoughts, the plans with which you would

  wrong me. For you say, where is the House

  wicked lived? Haven't you asked wayfaring men?

  Don't you know their evidences that the evil man is reserved to

  the day of calamity, that they are LED out to the day of wrath?

  Who will declare his way to his face?

  Who will repay him what he has done?

  Yet he will be born to the grave.

  Men will keep watch over the tomb.

  The clouds of the valley will be sweet to him.

  All men will draw after him, as there were innumerable before
• 10:45
  him. So how can you comfort me with
• 10:48
  nonsense? Because in your answers, there
