- 0:02Welcome to Bible Chat, where we have devotional conversations
- 0:06rooted in scripture and relevant for today, March 10th.
- 0:11Standing strong When life blows. Have you ever noticed how
- 0:14quickly things can change? One moment everything feels calm
- 0:18and the next it's like a storm rolled in.
- 0:20Misunderstandings, pressure, temptation, unexpected setbacks.
- 0:25Life has a way of testing what you're really standing on.
- 0:29Proverbs chapter 12, verses 2 to 3 says a good man obtains favor
- 0:33from the Lord, but a man of evil devices he condemns.
- 0:38A man is not established by wickedness, but the root of the
- 0:40righteous will never be moved. That word established matters.
- 0:45Everyone wants stability, everyone wants something solid.
- 0:49But Proverbs makes it clear. Wickedness might look strong for
- 0:52a moment, but it doesn't last. It has no deep roots, only
- 0:56righteousness. Living God's way creates
- 0:58something unshakeable. Psalm 29 verses one to two says
- 1:03Ascribe to the Lord glory and strength.
- 1:06Ascribe to the Lord the glory, do His name, worship the Lord in
- 1:09the splendor of holiness. The rest of that Psalm describes
- 1:13God's voice like a storm, powerful, thunderous, shaking
- 1:17forests and mountains. It reminds us that God's power
- 1:21is greater than any storm we face.
- 1:24The same voice that shakes the earth is the voice that
- 1:26strengthens his people. And Job.
- 1:29Chapters 20 to 21 remind us that wickedness eventually collapses.
- 1:34It may seem hidden. It may seem like no one sees,
- 1:37but sin carries consequences. Shortcuts may look attractive,
- 1:42compromise may feel easier, but in the end, unstable foundations
- 1:46give way. Storms reveal roots.
- 1:49When life blows hard, when friends pressure you to
- 1:52compromise, when stress tempts you to cut corners, when
- 1:55emotions push you toward unhealthy choices, what holds
- 1:59you steady? If your confidence is built on
- 2:02popularity, success, or appearance, the storm will shake
- 2:05you. But if your roots are deep in
- 2:07God's truth, you may sway, but you won't fall.
- 2:11Choosing righteousness doesn't mean life becomes calm.
- 2:14It means you're anchored. When it is, worship shifts your
- 2:17focus. When you ascribe glory to God,
- 2:19you remind your heart who is truly in control.
- 2:23You remind yourself that the storm is loud, but God is
- 2:25louder. The pressure is real, but God is
- 2:28stronger. You don't have to chase quick
- 2:30winds or blend into every crowd. You don't have to follow the
- 2:34unstable patterns you see around you.
- 2:37God invites you to stand firm, rooted in His favor, grounded in
- 2:41His truth, strengthened by His power.
- 2:43The winds will come. The question is not if they
- 2:47blow. The question is whether your
- 2:48roots run deep enough to hold. Let's pray.
- 2:52Heavenly Father, thank you for being my strength.
- 2:54When life feels like a storm. Help me build my life on
- 2:58righteousness and truth, not on shortcuts or compromise.
- 3:02When pressure comes, remind me that your power is greater than
- 3:05any challenge I face. Deepen my roots in You so I can
- 3:09stand firm, steady and faithful no matter what blows my way.
- 3:12In Jesus name, Amen. What if the most important
- 3:17question in your life deserves more than a shallow answer?

- 4:36Now I invite you to spend time with God in today's three-year
- 4:39Bible reading plan. Proverbs chapter 12 verses two
- 4:44to three World English Bible. A good man shall obtain favor
- 4:48from Yahweh, but he will condemn a man of wicked plans.
- 4:52A man shall not be established by wickedness, but the root of
- 4:55the righteous shall not be moved.
- 4:57Psalm Chapter 29 World English Bible A Psalm by David Ascribe
- 5:02to Yahweh You sons of the mighty.
- 5:04Ascribe to Yahweh glory and strength.
- 5:06Ascribe to Yahweh the glory due to His name.
- 5:09Worship Yahweh in holy array. Yahweh's voice is on the waters.
- 5:13The God of glory thunders even Yahweh on many waters.
- 5:17Yahweh's voice is powerful. Yahweh's voice is full of
- 5:20majesty. Yahweh's voice breaks the
- 5:22Cedars. Yes, Yahweh breaks in pieces the
- 5:25Cedars of Lebanon. He makes them also to skip like
- 5:28a calf. Lebanon and Syrian like a young
- 5:31wild ox. Yahweh's voice strikes with
- 5:33flashes of lightning. Yahweh's voice shakes the
- 5:36wilderness. Yahweh shakes the wilderness of
- 5:38Kaddish. Yahweh's voice makes the deer
- 5:41calf and strips the forests bare in His temple.
- 5:44Everything says glory. Yahweh sat enthroned at the
- 5:47flood. Yes, Yahweh sits as king
- 5:49forever. Yahweh will give strength to His
- 5:51people. Yahweh will bless His people
- 5:53with peace. Job, Chapters 20 to 21 World
- 5:57English Bible. Then Zafar the Namathite
- 6:00answered. Therefore my thoughts answer me
- 6:02even by reason of my haste. That is in me.
- 6:05I have heard the reproof which puts me to shame.
- 6:07The spirit of my understanding answers me.
- 6:10Don't you know this from old time, since man was placed on
- 6:13earth, that the triumphing of the wicked is short the joy of
- 6:16the godless? But for a moment, though his
- 6:19height mount up to the heavens and his head reached to the
- 6:21clouds, yet he will perish forever like his own dung.
- 6:25Those who have seen him will say, where is he?
- 6:27He will fly away as a dream and will not be found.
- 6:31Yes, he will be chased away like a vision of the night.
- 6:34The eye which saw him will see him no more, neither will his
- 6:37place see him anymore. His children will seek the favor
- 6:40of the poor. His hands will give back his
- 6:42wealth. His bones are full of his youth,
- 6:45but youth will lie down with him in the dust.
- 6:47Though wickedness is sweet in his mouth, though he hide it
- 6:50under his tongue, though he spare it and will not let it go,
- 6:53but keep it still within his mouth, yet his food and his
- 6:56bowels is turned. It is cobra venom within him.
- 7:00He has swallowed down riches and he will vomit them up again.
- 7:03God will cast them out of his belly.
- 7:05He will suck cobra venom. The viper's tongue will kill
- 7:08him. He will not look at the rivers,
- 7:10the flowing streams of honey and butter.
- 7:12He will restore that for which he labored and will not swallow
- 7:15it down. He will not rejoice according to
- 7:18the substance that he has gotten, for he has oppressed and
- 7:21forsaken the poor. He has violently taken away a
- 7:24house, and he will not build it up because he knew no quietness
- 7:28within him. He will not save anything of
- 7:30that in which he delights. There was nothing left that he
- 7:33didn't devour. Therefore his prosperity will
- 7:35not endure in the fullness of his sufficiency.
- 7:38Distress will overtake him. The hand of everyone who is in
- 7:42misery will come on him when he is about to fill his belly.
- 7:45God will cast the fierceness of his wrath on him.
- 7:48It will rain on him while he is eating.
- 7:50He will flee from the iron weapon.
- 7:52The bronze arrow will strike him through.
- 7:55He draws it out and it comes out of his body.
- 7:57Yes, the glittering point comes out of his liver.
- 8:00Terrors are on him. All darkness is laid up for his
- 8:03treasures, and unfanned fire will devour him.
- 8:06It will consume that which is left in his tent.
- 8:09The heavens will reveal his iniquity.
- 8:11The earth will rise up against him, the increase of his house
- 8:15will depart. They will rush away in the day
- 8:17of his wrath. This is the portion of a wicked
- 8:20man from God, the heritage appointed to him by God.
- 8:23Then Job answered. Listen diligently to my speech.
- 8:27Let this be your consolation. Allow me, and I also will speak
- 8:31after I have spoken. Mock on.
- 8:33As for me is my complaint to man.
- 8:35Why shouldn't I be impatient? Look at me and be astonished.
- 8:38Lay your hand on your mouth. When I remember I am troubled.
- 8:42Horror takes hold of my flesh. Why do the wicked live, Become
- 8:45old, yes, and grow mighty in power.
- 8:48Their child is established with them in their sight, their
- 8:50offspring before their eyes. Their houses are safe from fear.
- 8:54Neither is the rod of God upon them.
- 8:56Their bulls breed without fail. Their cows calve and don't
- 9:00miscarry. They send out their little ones
- 9:02like a flock. Their children dance.
- 9:05They sing to the tambourine and harp, and rejoice at the sound
- 9:08of the pipe. They spend their days in
- 9:10prosperity. In an instant they go down to
- 9:12Sheol. They tell God, Depart from us,
- 9:15for we don't want to know about your ways.
- 9:17What is the Almighty that we should serve Him?
- 9:19What profit should we have if we pray to Him?
- 9:22Behold, their prosperity is not in their hand.
- 9:25The counsel of the wicked is far from me.
- 9:27How often is it that the lamp of the wicked is put out that their
- 9:31calamity comes on them, that God distributes sorrows in His
- 9:34anger? How often is it that they are a
- 9:36stubble before the wind, as chaff that the storm carries
- 9:39away? You say God lays up his iniquity
- 9:42for his children. Let him recompense it to
- 9:45himself, that he may know it. Let his own eyes see his
- 9:48destruction. Let him drink of the wrath of
- 9:50the Almighty, for what does he care for his house after him
- 9:53when the number of his months is cut off?
- 9:56Shall any teach God knowledge, since He judges those who are
- 9:59high? One dies in his full strength,
- 10:01being wholly at ease and quiet. His pails are full of milk, the
- 10:05marrow of his bones is moistened.
- 10:07Another dies in bitterness of soul, and never tastes of good.
- 10:11They lie down alike in the dust, the worm covers them.
- 10:14Behold, I know your thoughts, the plans with which you would
- 10:17wrong me. For you say, where is the House
- 10:19of the Prince? Where is the tent in which the
- 10:21wicked lived? Haven't you asked wayfaring men?
- 10:24Don't you know their evidences that the evil man is reserved to
- 10:28the day of calamity, that they are LED out to the day of wrath?
- 10:31Who will declare his way to his face?
- 10:33Who will repay him what he has done?
- 10:35Yet he will be born to the grave.
- 10:37Men will keep watch over the tomb.
- 10:40The clouds of the valley will be sweet to him.
- 10:42All men will draw after him, as there were innumerable before
- 10:45him. So how can you comfort me with
- 10:48nonsense? Because in your answers, there
- 10:50remains only falsehood. Thanks for joining us on Bible
- 10:55Chat, where Scripture meets everyday life.
