- 0:44Speaker 4: Hey, good morning, everybody. Good morning. Today's Monday. It's a
- 0:50Speaker 4: brand new week, you guys. Making our way through Menace's
- 0:53Speaker 4: birthday month.
- 0:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 0:55Speaker 4: October the 19th, 2026. My name is Woody. That is
- 0:57Speaker 4: Greg Gorey.
- 0:58Speaker 3: Hi, Wood.
- 0:58Speaker 4: There is Menace.
- 0:59Speaker 3: Hi. We got Gina Grad.
- 1:01Speaker 4: Hi. Seabass is here. With presents for Menace, as always. Oh, presents.
- 1:05Speaker 3: Yeah. There is Sammy.
- 1:06Speaker 4: Hello.
- 1:07Speaker 3: We got Jeff G. Morgan is here. Take it easy, man.
- 1:10Speaker 3: I know. Yeah, Morgan.
- 1:12Speaker 1: Yeah, whatever.
- 1:12Speaker 4: Get through the introductions here.
- 1:15Speaker 3: There's Vaughn, our video producer.
- 1:16Speaker 4: Bort is here.
- 1:17Speaker 3: We've got Menji.
- 1:18Speaker 4: Phones are open 877-44-WOODY. Send us a text. You can
- 1:22Speaker 4: check in over to 22987.
- 1:23Speaker 3: What's the.
- 1:26Speaker 3: What's the gift?
- 1:26Speaker 5: Well, it's because I am, as I said, addicted to Timu.
- 1:29Speaker 5: I got Menace from his favorite country, China. They call
- 1:33Speaker 5: it banana bread. It looks like a full-on. Would you
- 1:37Speaker 5: grab him an extra one over there, Greg or Gina?
- 1:40Speaker 4: Dude, I'm not eating snacks from Timu.
- 1:42Speaker 6: Yeah, this is shocking, Seabass, because you know how you
- 1:46Speaker 6: feel about China.
- 1:47Speaker 7: You order a lot from Timu.
- 1:48Speaker 4: Right, but it's for Menace because he loves China.
- 1:50Speaker 3: It's his favorite country. He does. But he's not eating
- 1:52Speaker 3: snacks from Timu?
- 1:53Speaker 8: No.
- 1:53Speaker 3: So it's bread that's shaped like a banana? It looks
- 1:56Speaker 3: like a banana. What are you, racist? And is it
- 1:57Speaker 3: actual banana bread? Jingoistic, I would say.
- 2:00Speaker 5: It's mostly banana-flavored, and there's supposedly cream in the middle.
- 2:03Speaker 3: Oh, it's like a treat. It's like a snack cake.
- 2:05Speaker 4: It's actually very hard to open.
- 2:06Speaker 3: There's the scissors.
- 2:07Speaker 7: There's the scissors.
- 2:08Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, wow.
- 2:09Speaker 8: Oh, yeah.
- 2:09Speaker 4: What happened to the scissors I gave you the other day?
- 2:12Speaker 4: You never made their way back to me. Handled scissors.
- 2:15Speaker 4: There's two over there.
- 2:16Speaker 3: Whoa, that smells like polyurethane.
- 2:18Speaker 4: That smells like a rotten banana.
- 2:21Speaker 3: Let me smell it. Does it smell like a floaty
- 2:23Speaker 3: or something? It smells like paint thinner. It's not that bad.
- 2:27Speaker 3: Or like paint thinner. But you know what else? It
- 2:29Speaker 3: smells like rotten fruit. Or like dessert wine.
- 2:32Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 2:32Speaker 7: Well, same thing.
- 2:33Speaker 4: I think it smells good. Like pruno. You think it
- 2:35Speaker 4: smells good?
- 2:35Speaker 3: I do. God, you do? No, it doesn't smell good
- 2:39Speaker 3: at all. I like it.
- 2:40Speaker 4: You know what that is?
- 2:41Speaker 3: I'll smell it. I won't eat it.
- 2:43Speaker 4: This is what I would expect the Mr. Clean Magic
- 2:45Speaker 4: Eraser to smell like.
- 2:46Speaker 1: Really?
- 2:46Speaker 3: Yeah, which doesn't have a smell.
- 2:49Speaker 4: But if it would have, that's the kind of smell
- 2:51Speaker 4: I would expect.
- 2:52Speaker 7: You could for sure rub that thing on your wall
- 2:53Speaker 7: and get the stains out.
- 2:54Speaker 4: This is rum cake. This is also plum pudding.
- 2:56Speaker 3: That's that smell.
- 2:57Speaker 4: Menace, this is for your birthday.
- 2:59Speaker 5: Month, dude.
- 2:59Speaker 7: Eat it.
- 3:00Speaker 3: Eat it. If you break it open, let's see. Are
- 3:03Speaker 3: you going first?
- 3:03Speaker 7: Is it a creamy filling?
- 3:05Speaker 4: You know what?
- 3:05Speaker 3: They do a great job.
- 3:06Speaker 4: There's like a skin on it almost, like a real
- 3:08Speaker 4: banana peel. That's the world's tiniest little piece, Menace. Like,
- 3:11Speaker 4: how are you supposed to evaluate? Yeah, that was a crumb.
- 3:13Speaker 3: And then there's like a bread filling.
- 3:15Speaker 4: Ooh, that's not good.
- 3:16Speaker 3: What does it look like inside?
- 3:17Speaker 10: I mean, it just tastes like two-week-old bread.
- 3:21Speaker 4: There's a gel, not really a cream for sweet. Uh
- 3:26Speaker 4: Not really.
- 3:27Speaker 11: That smells like Let me try the sweet part Seabass
- 3:30Speaker 11: is taking a bite I'm having the bread Seabass got
- 3:32Speaker 11: a pretty decent bite It looks boring and dry There's
- 3:34Speaker 11: like It is There's an artificial banana flavor Like banana
- 3:36Speaker 11: candy sort of flavor.
- 3:38Speaker 10: I got in I took a bite of the filling
- 3:41Speaker 10: Mm-hmm It's nothing as well.
- 3:43Speaker 4: It's gross.
- 3:44Speaker 5: And there's no way to tell when it expired because
- 3:45Speaker 5: it's all in Chinese. Dude, you know what? It tastes
- 3:48Speaker 5: better than smells.
- 3:49Speaker 3: I'll say that.
- 3:49Speaker 4: You know what Hostess quietly got rid of? Because I
- 3:52Speaker 4: can't find them anywhere anymore. I've been to multiple cities
- 3:55Speaker 4: and I've looked. I've gone to the grocery stores, the
- 3:58Speaker 4: convenience stores, just to take a look to see. All right,
- 4:00Speaker 4: maybe it's just the location I'm going to. Hostess, stop
- 4:03Speaker 4: making ho-hos.
- 4:05Speaker 2: What?
- 4:06Speaker 11: Yeah.
- 4:06Speaker 4: Really? I don't think they manufacture them anymore. Now that
- 4:09Speaker 4: you say it, I don't think I've seen it. Also,
- 4:12Speaker 4: I think they really jacked up Twinkies because the Twinkies
- 4:14Speaker 4: that they sell.
- 4:15Speaker 3: That I see, I'm like, these don't even.
- 4:16Speaker 4: Look like Twinkies. You are correct, sir.
- 4:19Speaker 6: Hostess quietly discontinued ho-hos around December 2025.
- 4:22Speaker 7: Well, there.
- 4:25Speaker 3: You go. That is shocking.
- 4:26Speaker 7: I love to unpeel them.
- 4:28Speaker 4: You can still find Little Debbie Swiss rolls, which are
- 4:31Speaker 4: the same sort of, but they're not exactly the same.
- 4:34Speaker 6: And all I typed in with autofill, does hostess, and
- 4:38Speaker 6: it went to right to still make ho-hos.
- 4:41Speaker 4: They don't. So I've been seeing like a very like
- 4:43Speaker 4: kind of paired up. They love making zingers. Zingers I
- 4:46Speaker 4: see everywhere. Those are not that great.
- 4:48Speaker 3: I don't. Zingers are great.
- 4:51Speaker 4: What I do love, this might be another thing that
- 4:53Speaker 4: you guys judge me for liking that you'll say that
- 4:55Speaker 4: nobody else likes. I like the orange flavored cupcakes. The
- 4:58Speaker 4: hostess cupcakes. I've never had them.
- 5:00Speaker 3: Yeah, I like them too.
- 5:01Speaker 4: It's like a creamsicle, like an orange and they got
- 5:03Speaker 4: the cream in the side.
- 5:03Speaker 3: Yeah, it's good. Those are good. I would have to
- 5:05Speaker 3: have one to refresh my memory.
- 5:06Speaker 7: I don't think I've ever had one.
- 5:07Speaker 3: Truckers and trailer park people ate those.
- 5:09Speaker 4: No, those are good. I like those. I mean, I
- 5:11Speaker 4: like the lemon ones, the yellow ones better.
- 5:14Speaker 3: Lemon joints?
- 5:15Speaker 10: The yellow ones.
- 5:16Speaker 3: They have lemon ones?
- 5:17Speaker 7: Lemon cupcakes?
- 5:18Speaker 4: Yeah, it's lemon, right? Lemon hostess cupcakes? No, there's the
- 5:21Speaker 4: chocolate ones. They have the orange ones. And then they
- 5:24Speaker 4: got the yellow.
- 5:24Speaker 3: Those are the only two that I've seen. Oh, menace
- 5:27Speaker 3: be right. Unless they make a limited edition thing.
- 5:29Speaker 4: I've been eating those since I was a kid, the
- 5:31Speaker 4: yellow ones.
- 5:31Speaker 3: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 5:32Speaker 4: Ice lemon, yeah. Okay.
- 5:34Speaker 3: I mean, I would go for the lemon ones.
- 5:35Speaker 7: Ice lemon?
- 5:36Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 5:36Speaker 4: They make the zingers with the chocolate ones and then
- 5:39Speaker 4: the yellow ones.
- 5:40Speaker 12: Jeez.
- 5:41Speaker 4: But I think that's just a vanilla flavor. Those aren't
- 5:43Speaker 4: very good. And then other than that, it's just like
- 5:46Speaker 4: the donuts, like the little chocolate donuts and the powdered donuts.
- 5:49Speaker 3: Those are good.
- 5:50Speaker 4: Yeah, that's all right.
- 5:51Speaker 6: When's the last time and how many decades has anyone
- 5:54Speaker 6: had a snowball?
- 5:56Speaker 4: Oh, it's been a while. Those were never that great.
- 5:59Speaker 4: I thought those were very bland.
- 6:00Speaker 7: As a kid.
- 6:00Speaker 4: I like coconut.
- 6:02Speaker 7: The pink snowballs were the jam.
- 6:04Speaker 4: I would never let my son eat a pink snowball.
- 6:06Speaker 3: I've seen them my whole life. I've never had one. Yeah,
- 6:09Speaker 3: we used to give them as a treat. They were
- 6:10Speaker 3: always dry. I don't like coconut shavings. I always thought
- 6:12Speaker 3: they were girly.
- 6:13Speaker 7: Very, they're pink snowballs.
- 6:14Speaker 4: Yeah, only girls eat them. Yeah, now the other thing
- 6:16Speaker 4: that Menace is kind of alluding to, snowballing.
- 6:19Speaker 7: That's different.
- 6:20Speaker 4: You got to Google that one, kids. We're not explaining
- 6:24Speaker 4: that one. Kevin Smith can tell us. You're like a
- 6:26Speaker 4: big junk food guy.
- 6:27Speaker 3: Oh, hell yeah.
- 6:28Speaker 4: What's your go-to hostess?
- 6:29Speaker 3: Hostess would be Twinkies. Twinkies. Have you tried?
- 6:35Speaker 4: They did something. They make the Twinkies different now. Yeah,
- 6:39Speaker 4: they're not the same. They're just not the same at all.
- 6:41Speaker 4: They got rid of the ho-hos. Do you like the
- 6:43Speaker 4: orange cupcakes? We were talking about the orange-flavored cupcakes. Yeah,
- 6:46Speaker 4: those are pretty good. Those are bomb.
- 6:47Speaker 3: They have a good crumble cake, too.
- 6:49Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 6:49Speaker 3: That's pretty solid. I see that every once in a while.
- 6:51Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, the coffee cakes.
- 6:52Speaker 3: Yeah, powdered donuts. Which Greg does not have coffee.
- 6:54Speaker 13: Yeah, no coffee in it.
- 6:55Speaker 3: I know, isn't that shocking?
- 6:56Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 6:56Speaker 7: Wait, how could the Twinkie be any different? It was
- 6:57Speaker 7: already like lab grown. What is the difference?
- 7:00Speaker 4: I bet you it's all this crap about getting rid
- 7:01Speaker 4: of artificial dyes. The cake seems more dense. It's like
- 7:05Speaker 4: more of like a dense log.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Interesting.
- 7:07Speaker 3: Not like a lady finger or whatever. Yeah, it's not
- 7:08Speaker 3: like light and fluffy. Yeah, it's not airy.
- 7:10Speaker 4: Yeah, not like kind of puffy. It's kind of like
- 7:12Speaker 4: tight and dense.
- 7:13Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 7:14Speaker 3: It doesn't look appealing. I've not even bought the new ones.
- 7:16Speaker 3: I just see them.
- 7:17Speaker 4: I go, these don't look like Twinkies. And they're making
- 7:20Speaker 4: chocolate Twinkies now too.
- 7:21Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 7:21Speaker 13: Mm-hmm.
- 7:22Speaker 3: Didn't those used to be called Chocodiles?
- 7:24Speaker 4: Oh, Chocodiles. Chocodiles. Was that Hostess or was that like
- 7:29Speaker 4: a different one?
- 7:30Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 7:30Speaker 4: Like Dolly Madison or whatever. Kind of like Ding Dongs.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Yeah. They're like Ding Dongs. Oh, yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 7:35Speaker 4: Yeah, I mean, we don't have Ho-Ho's, but we still
- 7:37Speaker 4: have Ding Dongs.
- 7:38Speaker 3: Yeah, like the hockey pucks. Yeah, but the Ding Dongs
- 7:40Speaker 3: are different. Yeah.
- 7:42Speaker 4: The non-Hostess Ho-Ho's were the Little Debbie Swiss Rolls.
- 7:47Speaker 3: Yeah, and they're rolled up.
- 7:48Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 7:48Speaker 3: So what's the difference? The taste is different. It's the
- 7:52Speaker 3: same concept. The taste is different. See, I used to
- 7:54Speaker 3: live next to a hostess store.
- 7:56Speaker 4: Oh, it was like this outlet store.
- 7:59Speaker 3: And we would get all the day old stuff.
- 8:00Speaker 7: Would you get like the fruit pies?
- 8:02Speaker 13: Everything.
- 8:02Speaker 4: Oh, those were the best.
- 8:03Speaker 3: Oh, you lived in a good neighborhood.
- 8:04Speaker 4: Yeah, 877-44-WOODY. Send us a text over to 22987. Let's
- 8:08Speaker 4: jump into the Monday birthdays. Happy birthday to Trey Parker.
- 8:27Speaker 4: co-creator of South Parker, as they're calling it now, South America,
- 8:32Speaker 4: for the new season. Trey Parker is 57 years old today.
- 8:37Speaker 4: Chris Kattan, the former SNL cast member, is 56. There's
- 8:40Speaker 4: a documentary about him.
- 8:42Speaker 1: Really?
- 8:43Speaker 4: Yeah, about how he got really jacked up during a skit,
- 8:46Speaker 4: like broke his back or something. Yeah, he broke his neck.
- 8:48Speaker 4: Or his neck or something.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 8:49Speaker 4: He has my favorite line.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Never came back from it.
- 8:52Speaker 4: Would you guys like some cookies?

- 9:20Speaker 4: Shut up that's his brand seems like a nice guy
- 9:22Speaker 4: but like yeah there's a couple things like dude what
- 9:24Speaker 4: are you doing.
- 9:24Speaker 5: By the way nobody looks good in that hat I
- 9:26Speaker 5: know basically they just love it what is it it's kind.
- 9:29Speaker 3: Of like that Arby's like not an Arby's hat, but like, um,
- 9:32Speaker 3: I don't know.
- 9:32Speaker 4: Like, no, no, you know, it's like the, uh, the Curious,
- 9:35Speaker 4: the guy who was always hanging out with Curious George.
- 9:37Speaker 3: What's his name?
- 9:38Speaker 1: Oh yeah.
- 9:38Speaker 8: Mr.
- 9:39Speaker 4: The guy in the yellow hat.
- 9:40Speaker 5: Uh, well, but no, it's this, SNL did a great
- 9:42Speaker 5: sketch actually called Big Dumb Hat with, uh, Amy Sugarman,
- 9:46Speaker 5: not Amy Sugarman.
- 9:46Speaker 3: Uh, she lives for the company. Uh, Amy, uh, Schumer. Schumer. Schumer.
- 9:51Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 9:51Speaker 3: And making fun of all the stupid basic bitches.
- 9:53Speaker 10: Oh, that's like Coachella two years ago, man.
- 9:56Speaker 15: I agree.
- 9:57Speaker 4: Evander Holyfield is 64 today, and you got John Lithgow.
- 10:01Speaker 3: Who is 81.
- 10:01Speaker 4: Your porno birthday today is Taylor Rain. And today's birthday boy, oh,
- 10:07Speaker 4: Taylor's a boy, has handed out the hot beef injection
- 10:11Speaker 4: in 194 fine films, including 10 Feet of Raw Meat.
- 10:15Speaker 4: He was in Twink Buffet, Volume 1. Interracial Mantises, Volume 15.
- 10:24Speaker 4: He was in Suckin' Feet and Slappin' Ass.
- 10:26Speaker 10: Yeah, he is.
- 10:27Speaker 4: Caught Red-Handed, Volume 1. deeing him down in the kitchen,
- 10:31Speaker 4: also tongued while tanning.
- 10:34Speaker 3: Fun.
- 10:34Speaker 4: And who can forget his unforgettable role in the Halloween
- 10:37Speaker 4: film Scared Stiff 2, the Amityville whore. I like it.
- 10:42Speaker 4: That's Taylor Reign, who is 36 years old today, and
- 10:45Speaker 4: that is your porno birthday, your celebrity birthday, here on
- 10:50Speaker 4: The Woody Show.
- 10:50Speaker 1: The Woody Show.
- 10:52Speaker 16: The Woody Show.
- 10:56Speaker 7: All right.
- 10:57Speaker 3: Let's see. Greg Gorey. Woody. Cheers and jeers. Well, cheers
- 11:01Speaker 3: to The Woody Show for having a real impact on
- 11:04Speaker 3: the world.
- 11:05Speaker 4: Really?
- 11:05Speaker 3: Because not that long ago, me, Menace... And I believe
- 11:10Speaker 3: Jeff G., as well, we're calling for normalizing the man purse.
- 11:14Speaker 4: Yes, we were. Let's start by not calling it man purse.
- 11:18Speaker 3: What would you like to call it?
- 11:19Speaker 7: I mean, it's just a purse, right?
- 11:21Speaker 3: Okay, purse.
- 11:22Speaker 4: They call it a sling bag.
- 11:23Speaker 10: And Greg, just real quick, I know you have a story.
- 11:28Speaker 4: Bought a new one last night.
- 11:30Speaker 3: Good for you, good for you. So, we're at the
- 11:34Speaker 3: mall the other day and running random errands and What
- 11:38Speaker 3: am I seeing? More and more of the so-called man bag,
- 11:42Speaker 3: the sling bag, the shoulder bag, whatever. And these are
- 11:45Speaker 3: dudes with wives, dudes with girlfriends. These are like bros
- 11:49Speaker 3: and they had them. Are they like the cross body? Yes,
- 11:52Speaker 3: of course. Like over the shoulder kind of going sideways.
- 11:55Speaker 4: We like to call them pioneers, Greg.
- 11:58Speaker 3: But good. It's having an impact. Something is working out
- 12:00Speaker 3: there because they got stuff too to carry and now
- 12:03Speaker 3: they can. So good for us for Affecting change in
- 12:07Speaker 3: the real world. Jeers goes to myself for not knowing
- 12:12Speaker 3: how to open a bottle cap in a cool way.
- 12:15Speaker 3: I was at a barbecue and they had a bunch
- 12:18Speaker 3: of beers, but they were not twist caps. And I've
- 12:21Speaker 3: never in my life been the guy that knows how
- 12:23Speaker 3: to go up against a table.
- 12:24Speaker 7: And just bam.
- 12:25Speaker 3: Or use a quarter or something. Or use a key
- 12:27Speaker 3: or a quarter.
- 12:28Speaker 4: That's usually a good way for me to figure out
- 12:31Speaker 4: what beer I'm going to like or not like. Yeah.
- 12:33Speaker 7: What you can open.
- 12:34Speaker 4: What are you going to have? And I go, oh,
- 12:36Speaker 4: do you have whatever? And they go, no, I don't
- 12:37Speaker 4: have that. I go, what do you have that just
- 12:39Speaker 4: has like a twist cap? Right. And whatever they have
- 12:41Speaker 4: with a twist cap will typically be something that I like.
- 12:44Speaker 4: I'm not very adventurous when it comes to beer, but
- 12:46Speaker 4: if it has a cap that you need the opener for,
- 12:49Speaker 4: or you need to, you know, figure out cool ways
- 12:51Speaker 4: to do it, probably.
- 12:52Speaker 3: Not going to like it.
- 12:53Speaker 4: It's probably one of them.
- 12:54Speaker 3: IPAs or and I tried to do that Woody I
- 12:56Speaker 3: was I pick out a beer I pick out the
- 12:59Speaker 3: beer that had only the bottle cap type and I
- 13:02Speaker 3: thought I was just standing there and I slowly walked
- 13:04Speaker 3: back to the cooler tried to change it to a
- 13:06Speaker 3: one that had none of them had twist caps and
- 13:09Speaker 3: I go to the guy who was doing the barbecue
- 13:11Speaker 3: and I said hey do you have a bottle opener
- 13:13Speaker 3: by chance No, but I got you. And he takes
- 13:15Speaker 3: this massive knife and just, boop, and popped it open.
- 13:18Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, you can do that. You can use the
- 13:20Speaker 4: edge of a counter.
- 13:21Speaker 3: I mean, I've seen it done. I've never known how
- 13:23Speaker 3: to do it. You can use a seatbelt. It makes
- 13:25Speaker 3: me feel so uncool.
- 13:26Speaker 7: Seatbelt, that's a good place to open beer, too, anyway.
- 13:28Speaker 3: Yeah, I'm saying, but like, yeah, like if you're doing
- 13:30Speaker 3: like a tailgate or something like that.
- 13:31Speaker 4: That makes sense.
- 13:32Speaker 3: Because the buckle.
- 13:34Speaker 4: Yeah, the metal part. That clicks in, not the part
- 13:36Speaker 4: that you click it into. But look at it. It
- 13:38Speaker 4: looks like it's got the hole in the middle and
- 13:40Speaker 4: it looks like a bottle.
- 13:41Speaker 10: There's a pretty big video online of Ella Langley, the
- 13:45Speaker 10: country singer, where she takes two bottles and then she
- 13:48Speaker 10: puts them right next to each other and then she
- 13:50Speaker 10: kicks the bottom of it.
- 13:51Speaker 7: Oh, that's so badass.
- 13:53Speaker 3: I successfully opened a bottle once with another bottle, but again,
- 13:56Speaker 3: one time. And I know a guy that tried to do...
- 14:00Speaker 3: bottle cap bottle the non-twist one with his teeth oh
- 14:03Speaker 3: that's a good idea so he puts it in his
- 14:04Speaker 3: mouth totally do that twists it the bottle broke as
- 14:07Speaker 3: he's getting has the momentum in his hand and he
- 14:10Speaker 3: sliced his face open he looked like the joker it
- 14:13Speaker 3: like cut his cheek all the way up so i'm
- 14:17Speaker 3: not cool i've never learned how to do the bottle
- 14:19Speaker 3: cap thing so cheers to me for not being cool i.
- 14:22Speaker 10: Want to see you do the ella langley thing we
- 14:24Speaker 10: got to do a Instagram video.
- 14:26Speaker 3: I would have to see how it's done and try
- 14:28Speaker 3: to imitate it.
- 14:28Speaker 4: I mean, personally, I found the easiest one is just
- 14:31Speaker 4: on the edge of a counter.
- 14:32Speaker 3: Yeah. I've never done that.
- 14:34Speaker 4: But you mess up the counters.
- 14:35Speaker 7: And the bottle will shatter in my hand.
- 14:39Speaker 15: No.
- 14:39Speaker 4: Not if you do it right. Like the neck? Yeah,
- 14:41Speaker 4: that's the problem.
- 14:42Speaker 3: I mean, not if you do it right.
- 14:43Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 14:43Speaker 4: I mean, any other like non-traditional ways. Like Greg just
- 14:47Speaker 4: talked about the guy with the bottle broke that way too.
- 14:50Speaker 11: Right.
- 14:50Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 14:50Speaker 3: But, I mean, haven't we progressed as a society that
- 14:52Speaker 3: they can all be twist-offs at this point? No.
- 14:54Speaker 13: Yes.
- 14:55Speaker 4: Okay.
- 14:57Speaker 3: Bottles of wine have screw-tops.
- 14:58Speaker 7: That's my question. And does that mean it's like a
- 15:00Speaker 7: low-class bottle of wine, or is it fine?
- 15:03Speaker 3: I still think it kind of makes it a little
- 15:05Speaker 3: bit low-class when it's a twist-top.
- 15:07Speaker 7: But I'm so relieved when it is.
- 15:08Speaker 3: But that's a question for the beer people. Like, is
- 15:11Speaker 3: it lame if it's a twist-top? Does it make it subpar?
- 15:14Speaker 4: It's not as cool.
- 15:16Speaker 3: Not as manly. That make it less of a beer.
- 15:18Speaker 4: Right.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Like not cool.
- 15:20Speaker 12: Right.
- 15:20Speaker 3: Like not as indie.
- 15:23Speaker 4: It was so 90s. You're talking about dudes having purses
- 15:28Speaker 4: and stuff now. But it was so 90s for everybody
- 15:32Speaker 4: to have a bottle opener on them. Of course.
- 15:35Speaker 3: On your keychain.
- 15:36Speaker 4: Every promotional item was either a pen or... A beer
- 15:39Speaker 4: koozie or a bottle opener keychain.
- 15:41Speaker 3: For sure. Everybody had one.
- 15:43Speaker 7: With your business on it.
- 15:44Speaker 4: Every radio station I worked at in the 90s and
- 15:47Speaker 4: through the early 2000s, they all had keychain bottle openers.
- 15:51Speaker 7: Back when we were fun and prepared.
- 15:53Speaker 4: Because that's what everybody needed at any given time.
- 15:55Speaker 7: You never know when a party's going.
- 15:57Speaker 3: To break out. That's true.
- 15:58Speaker 4: My favorite is the bar knife. The what?
- 16:01Speaker 10: It's called the Bar Knife.
- 16:02Speaker 3: The Bar Knife?
- 16:03Speaker 10: Yeah, it's a really long bottle opener.
- 16:05Speaker 13: Oh.
- 16:06Speaker 3: Yeah, like the ones that the professionals have.
- 16:08Speaker 4: Mm-hmm, yep. Yeah, it's super long. It's just like a
- 16:12Speaker 4: big oval kind of shape. Yeah, it fits in your pocket.
- 16:14Speaker 4: Like a torpedo kind of thing.
- 16:16Speaker 3: And then, by the way, if you're hosting a party
- 16:18Speaker 3: with beers that have bottle caps, put a bottle opener
- 16:21Speaker 3: near them.
- 16:21Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 16:22Speaker 3: So you'll have to walk around a hunt and then
- 16:24Speaker 3: ask the guy with the knife to open it for you.
- 16:25Speaker 17: But then he can't show off his party tricks, right?
- 16:27Speaker 7: Yeah, true.
- 16:28Speaker 3: Think about that. Gina Grad, cheers and jeers.
- 16:30Speaker 6: Okay, big old giant cheers to the circus. I took
- 16:35Speaker 6: the kid to the circus because he begged to go.
- 16:38Speaker 6: And I got to tell you, it was... It was
- 16:41Speaker 6: so incredible. The world-class acrobats, a family of tightrope walkers,
- 16:46Speaker 6: a family of Czechoslovakian jugglers and like.
- 16:50Speaker 7: Acrobats that literally travel together.
- 16:53Speaker 6: Like the mom, dad, and the three kids, they're like
- 16:55Speaker 6: sixth generation circus people.
- 16:58Speaker 4: It was so- I mean, that skill set doesn't really
- 16:59Speaker 4: transfer to other things.
- 17:01Speaker 7: You have one job.
- 17:02Speaker 4: You work at the circus.
- 17:03Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 17:04Speaker 4: Or it's just not applicable to anything else.
- 17:05Speaker 7: Or you're unemployed.
- 17:06Speaker 3: Exactly.
- 17:07Speaker 6: But it just, and I'm- I literally got teared up
- 17:11Speaker 6: a few times because I was so happy to be somewhere.
- 17:14Speaker 6: Seeing people's actual talent and no screens, no VR, no
- 17:19Speaker 6: nothing fake, nobody looking at their phones, just people in
- 17:21Speaker 6: the moment cheering for clowns, cheering for tightrope walkers.
- 17:26Speaker 7: I loved it. It was like a reset in my
- 17:28Speaker 7: brain that I didn't even know I needed.
- 17:29Speaker 4: This is one of those circuses, if I remember correctly,
- 17:32Speaker 4: that you went to. It's set up in the parking
- 17:34Speaker 4: lot of a mall.
- 17:34Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:35Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 17:36Speaker 3: So the mall parking lot, because, you know, half the stuff.
- 17:38Speaker 4: Well, they have space.
- 17:39Speaker 3: Yeah, they got a ton of space. Half the stuff is.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Closed in there. So they set up the big circus
- 17:43Speaker 4: tents in the parking lot of the mall.
- 17:45Speaker 7: And it is awesome.
- 17:46Speaker 4: She's mall parking lot circus person, and she's crying there.
- 17:49Speaker 7: Because I really needed that.
- 17:52Speaker 3: This is the circus that you really didn't want to
- 17:54Speaker 3: go to.
- 17:54Speaker 1: Correct.
- 17:55Speaker 4: You were dreading it.
- 17:56Speaker 7: I was kicking and screaming.
- 17:57Speaker 6: In fact, we were basically like the kids said, because
- 17:59Speaker 6: I had two tickets, and I said, well, you can
- 18:01Speaker 6: pick dad or me.
- 18:02Speaker 7: And we were like, please don't pick me. Please don't
- 18:03Speaker 7: pick me. And he's like, I don't know what to do.
- 18:04Speaker 7: I don't want to leave anyone out. We're like, we
- 18:06Speaker 7: promise you whoever gets left out is the winner.
- 18:09Speaker 3: See, this is what I would have said.
- 18:10Speaker 4: I said, hey, I got the tickets so you and
- 18:12Speaker 4: your dad could go.
- 18:13Speaker 7: That was the original plan.
- 18:15Speaker 4: I just had this conversation with another friend of mine
- 18:17Speaker 4: because he's going through a business thing and he's got
- 18:21Speaker 4: a personnel issue that he's dealing with. And so he's
- 18:26Speaker 4: dealing with this situation. I go, man, the way he's
- 18:29Speaker 4: going to approach it He's leaving himself open to leaving
- 18:32Speaker 4: himself right back in the same situation. I'm like, you
- 18:34Speaker 4: don't give them the option when it's something you don't want.
- 18:38Speaker 7: Of the door being left open.
- 18:40Speaker 4: Don't leave the door open. Like the only option you
- 18:42Speaker 4: give them is it leads them to whatever it is
- 18:45Speaker 4: that you need done.
- 18:47Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 18:47Speaker 4: But like there's two different options here. Both are going
- 18:50Speaker 4: to end with how you need things to be.
- 18:52Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 18:52Speaker 4: But how it turns out and how it goes, how
- 18:55Speaker 4: you get there. Is up to them.
- 18:56Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 18:56Speaker 4: Right. But like you don't leave it up because they
- 18:58Speaker 4: can call your bluff and go, well, you know what?
- 19:00Speaker 3: I'm going to stick it out.
- 19:01Speaker 4: That's true.
- 19:02Speaker 17: No!
- 19:03Speaker 4: Why are you torturing me?
- 19:04Speaker 3: Now I'm stuck with you still.
- 19:05Speaker 6: I feel like I had been kind of neglecting this
- 19:07Speaker 6: kid lately, though. So he wants to go to the
- 19:09Speaker 6: circus with me. We're going to the freaking circus. And
- 19:12Speaker 6: we had a blast. You know, he's getting to the
- 19:13Speaker 6: age where things are a little uncool. And he was
- 19:16Speaker 6: just mesmerized. And it was great.
- 19:18Speaker 7: I loved it. I can't wait to go back.
- 19:20Speaker 3: Jeers.
- 19:22Speaker 6: The movie Disclosure Day. Did anyone see this movie? The
- 19:26Speaker 6: Spielberg movie about the aliens and the.
- 19:30Speaker 3: I remember it being out in theaters. Oh my god.
- 19:32Speaker 7: We all wanted to see it. We did a movie night.
- 19:34Speaker 7: We had popcorn.
- 19:35Speaker 6: We're all settled in. Everybody wanted to watch it. It
- 19:37Speaker 6: is so dumb. It is so confusing. The only, like,
- 19:41Speaker 6: I'd say real star star is Emily Blunt. She does
- 19:44Speaker 6: her absolute best. But the movie sucks.
- 19:48Speaker 7: The movie sucks.
- 19:49Speaker 6: Sucks don't waste your time i was super disappointed we
- 19:52Speaker 6: were all bored and we were all kind of laughing
- 19:54Speaker 6: at it like because it was pretty dumb uh i
- 19:56Speaker 6: don't recommend it sorry spielberg man.
- 19:59Speaker 4: She's doing it wow like circus yes family movie night
- 20:03Speaker 4: wherever i get in the morning well i know don't
- 20:05Speaker 4: you i know she lives in like uh this this
- 20:08Speaker 4: like alternate universe.
- 20:09Speaker 7: Yeah yeah we had game night too that's.
- 20:12Speaker 4: Yeah, family game night. I've always seen that, like when
- 20:14Speaker 4: they advertise board games and stuff. Oh, for family game night.
- 20:17Speaker 4: I'm like, what's family game night?
- 20:19Speaker 3: It's fun. We had that a hundred years ago and
- 20:21Speaker 3: it ended in tears and arguments.
- 20:22Speaker 7: It usually ends in a board flip.
- 20:25Speaker 3: We played like, you know. We played live, shooting ladders.
- 20:27Speaker 4: Yeah, I love it.
- 20:27Speaker 17: Monopoly.
- 20:28Speaker 4: I don't remember parents playing. I mean, it was never
- 20:31Speaker 4: like parents. No, it was just me and my sisters
- 20:33Speaker 4: or if we had friends or cousins or whatever. Growing up,
- 20:35Speaker 4: we did have family games. It was never like. parents involved.
- 20:39Speaker 4: Like I'd see the commercials where it's like the mom
- 20:40Speaker 4: and dad are like huddled over around the game, the
- 20:43Speaker 4: game of life. They spin a little wheel thing and
- 20:46Speaker 4: do you.
- 20:46Speaker 7: Guys remember the game ladders and candy?
- 20:48Speaker 4: Like we played those games, but it wasn't each other. Correct.
- 20:50Speaker 7: Do you guys remember the game?
- 20:51Speaker 3: Sorry.
- 20:52Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 20:53Speaker 7: We always had every Friday night was sorry. Game night.
- 20:55Speaker 4: Sorry.
- 20:55Speaker 3: I'm not playing.
- 20:56Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 20:58Speaker 3: Because I would always lose and then my aunt would
- 21:00Speaker 3: rub it in. I was a little kid and she
- 21:02Speaker 3: would go, sorry. And that would make me cry.
- 21:07Speaker 4: She would crush on you, dude.
- 21:11Speaker 3: Sammy, cheers and jeers.
- 21:12Speaker 18: My cheers is that Christmas is appearing everywhere and I
- 21:16Speaker 18: love it.
- 21:17Speaker 10: Oh, God.
- 21:18Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 21:18Speaker 17: Oh, God is right.
- 21:19Speaker 4: But we are this close to Halloween.
- 21:21Speaker 7: I know.
- 21:22Speaker 4: And I was just at Costco, and they pretty much
- 21:24Speaker 4: have the Halloween stuff pushed out already. Oh, it's gone.
- 21:27Speaker 3: Yeah, you can't even find it in places.
- 21:28Speaker 4: To make room for the Christmas stuff. I'm like, yo, yo,
- 21:30Speaker 4: this is when people are going out for Halloween stuff.
- 21:32Speaker 7: Exactly.
- 21:33Speaker 4: You need that stuff now. It's upon us. It's here.
- 21:36Speaker 17: No, it's sold out already.
- 21:37Speaker 7: At least it's on clearance.
- 21:38Speaker 18: I mean, if you go to where the Halloween stuff
- 21:41Speaker 18: is in the store, the shelves are empty.
- 21:43Speaker 17: It has already been cleared out. You are too late.
- 21:46Speaker 17: And that's why you have to buy the Christmas stuff now.
- 21:48Speaker 17: The Target section or the dollar section in Target, by the.
- 21:50Speaker 18: Way, all Christmas, so cheap and like just little cute
- 21:55Speaker 18: stuff and highly recommend. And you have to get it
- 21:57Speaker 18: now because it'll be sold out later and it's only
- 21:59Speaker 18: a dollar. So everyone go.
- 22:01Speaker 1: Also.
- 22:03Speaker 17: The very first Hallmark Christmas movie just came out over
- 22:05Speaker 17: the weekend.
- 22:06Speaker 1: Oh, my God.
- 22:06Speaker 4: What's it called?
- 22:07Speaker 17: Holiday Touchdown. Bear's Love Story. It's the football one. It's
- 22:10Speaker 17: pretty good. Holiday Touchdown. So, yeah, the Christmas movies are
- 22:12Speaker 17: already coming out. The Christmas stuff is already out, and
- 22:14Speaker 17: I'm so excited to start decorating.
- 22:15Speaker 15: Too early.
- 22:16Speaker 3: It's too early.
- 22:17Speaker 4: Also, yeah, there's a- Our friend Tim starts decorating the
- 22:20Speaker 4: day after Halloween. Yeah.
- 22:21Speaker 3: Oh, that's right.
- 22:22Speaker 4: November 1st is when he puts up All the stuff.
- 22:25Speaker 4: I mean, the tree goes up.
- 22:27Speaker 7: Everything goes up.
- 22:29Speaker 4: That's crazy.
- 22:29Speaker 3: It doesn't seem like something he would do. I know
- 22:31Speaker 3: he does it.
- 22:32Speaker 4: I know.
- 22:32Speaker 3: It's like, come on, Tim.
- 22:33Speaker 4: I know. You're a man.
- 22:34Speaker 3: What are you doing?
- 22:35Speaker 4: Yeah, it'd be like me buying a man purse.
- 22:37Speaker 3: Yeah, it would be like that. Like what? Or like
- 22:39Speaker 3: Tim not knowing how to open a bottle.
- 22:41Speaker 4: I know.
- 22:41Speaker 3: Oh, that'd be a travesty.
- 22:42Speaker 10: There's a Grinch movie coming out mid-November.
- 22:46Speaker 4: Like, why not December?
- 22:47Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 22:48Speaker 17: Because that's the timing.
- 22:49Speaker 18: A lot of Thanksgiving is a big time for movies
- 22:51Speaker 18: to come out, especially Christmas movies.
- 22:53Speaker 4: Well, I mean, that makes sense because, you know, that's
- 22:55Speaker 4: the introduction of the holiday season.
- 22:57Speaker 3: Thanksgiving.
- 22:58Speaker 8: Yes.
- 22:58Speaker 4: Thanksgiving Day Parade. Santa comes down the parade route that
- 23:01Speaker 4: ushers in the Christmas season. That's when it's appropriate.
- 23:03Speaker 17: And no sooner.
- 23:04Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 23:06Speaker 4: The minute you see the backside of Santa and the sled,
- 23:08Speaker 4: then that's when the tree can go up like right
- 23:10Speaker 4: behind him. That's when the tree can go up and
- 23:12Speaker 4: all your stuff goes out. Like, not before that.
- 23:15Speaker 12: Sure.
- 23:15Speaker 18: And to be clear, I'm decorated for Halloween right now.
- 23:17Speaker 18: I'm just very much prepared for Christmas, and I'm very
- 23:21Speaker 18: excited about it. My jeers is to my eyesight because
- 23:24Speaker 18: it is so, so bad, and I have no depth perception.
- 23:28Speaker 18: And everywhere I went this weekend, if I was trying
- 23:31Speaker 18: to look at a– just read a sign.
- 23:32Speaker 17: I don't need help. Everybody, can I help you with something?
- 23:35Speaker 17: Do you need help?
- 23:35Speaker 18: And I thought, why are so many people– asking me
- 23:38Speaker 18: if I need help with something, and then I realized
- 23:41Speaker 18: it's because I'm trying to read far away, so I
- 23:43Speaker 18: look very confused because I can't see anything.
- 23:45Speaker 4: That's your natural look. Kind of like if you have
- 23:46Speaker 4: a resting bitch face. People think that something's wrong.
- 23:49Speaker 3: Resting confused face. She just looks confused all the time.
- 23:51Speaker 18: I look confused all the time trying to read stuff,
- 23:53Speaker 18: and my parking is terrible in my garage because my
- 23:57Speaker 18: death perception sucks. And where, where my spot is to
- 24:01Speaker 18: pull in is where the door into the kitchen is
- 24:05Speaker 18: where the door into the place is. And so if I,
- 24:09Speaker 18: I can't tell if I'm too close or too far.
- 24:11Speaker 18: And so I do get very close sometimes where it's,
- 24:13Speaker 18: difficult to get in that front door.
- 24:15Speaker 17: And so, you know, you.
- 24:16Speaker 4: Need you need a tennis ball hanging from the string.
- 24:19Speaker 17: Steamboat Willie did that over the weekend.
- 24:21Speaker 18: I now have a tennis ball hanging from a string
- 24:24Speaker 18: for my car.
- 24:25Speaker 17: And I didn't know about this.
- 24:26Speaker 18: And he was like, well, I mean, it's kind of
- 24:28Speaker 18: for old people, but I think we need to do this.
- 24:31Speaker 4: And the progression goes from that, and then you eventually
- 24:33Speaker 4: take that tennis ball down because you can't drive anymore,
- 24:35Speaker 4: and it goes on the bottom.
- 24:36Speaker 3: Of your walker.
- 24:37Speaker 7: Yes, exactly. There's always use for the tennis ball after
- 24:39Speaker 7: 65 years old.
- 24:40Speaker 18: Yes, so I now have a tennis ball hanging from
- 24:44Speaker 18: the ceiling of the garage for me to park and
- 24:46Speaker 18: not pull too far up.
- 24:48Speaker 4: You've had gnarly sight issues for a while. What's the prognosis?
- 24:51Speaker 4: I mean, is at some point, like, what do the
- 24:53Speaker 4: doctors say?
- 24:55Speaker 17: Well, so for.
- 24:56Speaker 18: Me, I have a lazy eye, which turns in, especially
- 25:01Speaker 18: when I read and other stuff. And when I was
- 25:03Speaker 18: a kid, I had to wear a patch over my
- 25:05Speaker 18: good eye to strengthen my bad eye because I had
- 25:07Speaker 18: one eye stronger than the other.
- 25:08Speaker 17: And it was turning in. And so that did work.
- 25:12Speaker 17: It helped in terms of the lazy eye.
- 25:14Speaker 18: And now though, as I get older and people's eyes
- 25:16Speaker 18: get worse, right? So every time I go to the
- 25:19Speaker 18: eye doctor and she's looking, she's like, oh, the turn
- 25:21Speaker 18: is getting worse.
- 25:21Speaker 17: It's happening again. It's getting worse.
- 25:23Speaker 18: And the last time I went, she went, Are you
- 25:25Speaker 18: seeing double?
- 25:26Speaker 4: I was like, no, no. Are you eventually going to
- 25:28Speaker 4: look like that goofy face emoji? You know the one
- 25:30Speaker 4: I'm talking about where it's like the tongue's hanging out
- 25:32Speaker 4: and the one eye's like, that's going to be Sammy's look.
- 25:36Speaker 18: So eventually, assuming that this continues and it's not going
- 25:41Speaker 18: to stop because it seems to be getting worse, I'll
- 25:43Speaker 18: have to have a surgery where they go into my eye,
- 25:48Speaker 18: take the muscle and And essentially take the muscle and
- 25:52Speaker 18: move it where it is on the eye so that
- 25:54Speaker 18: it'll straighten it out more.
- 25:56Speaker 7: Would you want to just do that now and get
- 25:57Speaker 7: over with it?
- 25:59Speaker 18: The reason that I don't is because my eye doctor
- 26:01Speaker 18: has had this surgery.
- 26:02Speaker 17: And it's why I have her. Because she treats this
- 26:04Speaker 17: very well.
- 26:04Speaker 18: She knows exactly what she's talking about.
- 26:06Speaker 17: She's dealt with it.
- 26:07Speaker 18: And she said it's one of the most horrible things
- 26:09Speaker 18: that she's ever been through in her life.
- 26:11Speaker 4: Oh, cool.
- 26:11Speaker 18: And so she would definitely not recommend it unless you
- 26:16Speaker 18: have to do it.
- 26:17Speaker 17: Unless it's a problem. And I'm seeing doubler. It's all
- 26:19Speaker 17: this stuff.
- 26:20Speaker 3: But how did it work out?
- 26:21Speaker 4: She can see okay? Yeah. She was a kid.
- 26:24Speaker 1: Well, no.
- 26:25Speaker 18: What happened was they overcorrected.
- 26:28Speaker 7: So I went out.
- 26:30Speaker 18: She had no she had a wandering eye. And then
- 26:34Speaker 18: when they corrected it, now she has one that turns
- 26:36Speaker 18: in like mine. So it still wasn't perfectly straight. Now, granted,
- 26:40Speaker 18: that was years ago and it's probably a much better
- 26:43Speaker 18: procedure now with the technology and stuff like that.
- 26:46Speaker 17: But it still is very risky.
- 26:48Speaker 18: It's still a human with human error, which very slight
- 26:51Speaker 18: amount that needs to be moved.
- 26:53Speaker 17: And it's very tricky.
- 26:54Speaker 7: Why don't we put you back in the patch?
- 26:55Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 26:56Speaker 4: You know what's crazy? It's too late now.
- 26:58Speaker 17: You have to do it when you're young.
- 26:59Speaker 4: One of the thousand pound sisters just had this done.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Somehow it always goes back to thousand pound sisters.
- 27:05Speaker 7: No, that chick did have a googly eye.
- 27:06Speaker 4: Yeah, and it looks clean now. It looks straight ahead.
- 27:10Speaker 10: It used to look way to the right.
- 27:13Speaker 18: And I'm sure that it was a huge problem for
- 27:15Speaker 18: her vision and it had to be done.
- 27:17Speaker 17: And I'm sure I will reach that point at some point.
- 27:19Speaker 7: She was looking behind herself.
- 27:20Speaker 4: Yeah, but now it's like straight ahead.
- 27:23Speaker 3: Lucky.
- 27:24Speaker 4: She's so lucky.
- 27:25Speaker 7: The Woody Show.
- 27:26Speaker 4: All right, let's see what's popping. What you got there,
- 27:32Speaker 4: Greg Gorey, for the trending news headlines.
- 27:34Speaker 3: Well, Green Bay beat the Cowboys 23-13 at Lambeau Field
- 27:37Speaker 3: behind Jordan Love's 276 passing yards and a rushing touchdown.
- 27:41Speaker 4: Yeah, my buddy went to that game. He made the
- 27:43Speaker 4: trip to Green Bay. It was his first pilgrimage as
- 27:46Speaker 4: a lifelong Packers fan. Got there, bought these custom Nikes
- 27:51Speaker 4: that are like Green Bay Packer Nikes.
- 27:54Speaker 3: So into it.
- 27:55Speaker 4: I'm like, dude, you better get yourself a stick to
- 27:58Speaker 4: beat all the ladies back. Those shoes are too tight.
- 28:02Speaker 7: Are they like dad shoes?
- 28:04Speaker 4: I'll pull the picture up, but you can take a look.
- 28:08Speaker 4: Are they Cortez's at least?
- 28:11Speaker 3: Maybe Dunk's.
- 28:13Speaker 4: Here, check out these new kicks he got, dog.
- 28:16Speaker 3: Oh, wow.
- 28:18Speaker 7: Yeah, that's something.
- 28:20Speaker 3: The ladies are going to be.
- 28:21Speaker 4: That's a shoe. That is a shoe. The Zoom X?
- 28:25Speaker 3: Yeah, they're kind of like running shoes. Oh, yeah, yeah.
- 28:27Speaker 4: The Zooms. Okay.
- 28:29Speaker 3: Check somebody lining up for that.
- 28:30Speaker 7: That's right.
- 28:31Speaker 3: Take it easy, ladies.
- 28:32Speaker 10: My chair's wet.
- 28:33Speaker 3: They look comfortable.
- 28:34Speaker 4: So much of him to go around.
- 28:36Speaker 3: There were also a ton of upsets yesterday in the NFL.
- 28:38Speaker 3: The Cardinals stole one from the Rams on a last-second
- 28:41Speaker 3: field goal. The Browns also beat the Ravens 13-10 on
- 28:44Speaker 3: a buzzer beater. And the Panthers dropped the Eagles, and
- 28:47Speaker 3: the Titans finally won a game. 26-20 over the Colts.
- 28:52Speaker 4: So they won a game, but your Chargers still haven't
- 28:55Speaker 4: won a game. Somebody get fired or what?
- 28:58Speaker 3: Yeah, they need to fire everybody at this point.
- 29:00Speaker 4: Who's going to get fired?
- 29:01Speaker 14: I wish we could fire Justin Herbert, but we can't. Nah,
- 29:04Speaker 14: they're going to keep him. I think at least Mike
- 29:06Speaker 14: McDaniel's offensive coordinator is going to go. They're going to
- 29:09Speaker 14: put it on him, which I don't know if it's
- 29:10Speaker 14: his fault necessarily, but Yeah, I think he's going to
- 29:13Speaker 14: be the victim.
- 29:14Speaker 4: See, I thought maybe they fire the head coach and
- 29:16Speaker 4: then put McDaniel in there.
- 29:18Speaker 3: I'm kind of down with that, man.
- 29:20Speaker 4: He'd be cheaper.
- 29:20Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 29:21Speaker 4: Because that's how these companies roll, man, right? They get
- 29:23Speaker 4: rid of the more expensive person to put the cheaper
- 29:25Speaker 4: person in there when times are lean.
- 29:27Speaker 3: And chargers are notoriously cheap, too.
- 29:29Speaker 14: I think the GM and head coach should go, and
- 29:32Speaker 14: I'm hoping that they do that.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 29:34Speaker 4: By the way, the Woody Show NFL Biggest Loser, so
- 29:38Speaker 4: we always put two of the people here on the
- 29:40Speaker 4: show head-to-head to pick who they think is going to
- 29:42Speaker 4: be the biggest loser in the NFL that week. And
- 29:45Speaker 4: so week six, it was myself and Sammy going head-to-head.
- 29:48Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 29:49Speaker 3: Sammy said the.
- 29:49Speaker 4: Titans would lose to the Colts by 15, but the
- 29:52Speaker 4: Titans got their first win.
- 29:54Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 29:55Speaker 4: I said the Raiders would lose by 15 to the Bills. Now,
- 29:57Speaker 4: the Raiders did lose, but they only lost by three points.
- 30:00Speaker 3: Yeah. All the games are pretty tight this week.
- 30:02Speaker 6: As somebody who knows nothing about sports or especially football,
- 30:05Speaker 6: I can't believe nobody picked the Chiefs and Chargers.
- 30:07Speaker 2: I did.
- 30:07Speaker 7: Yeah, me too.
- 30:08Speaker 4: Well, I was, but you guys never asked me. Well,
- 30:11Speaker 4: I didn't pick the Chiefs and Chargers because I try
- 30:14Speaker 4: to stay away from division games.
- 30:16Speaker 7: What does that mean? I don't even know.
- 30:17Speaker 4: Like two teams that are in the same division playing
- 30:19Speaker 4: each other because they play each other so much more
- 30:22Speaker 4: often than other teams. They know each other better. It
- 30:25Speaker 4: doesn't matter how good... the Steelers are compared to, say,
- 30:29Speaker 4: the Bengals or the Browns or the Ravens, those games
- 30:33Speaker 4: are always three-point games.
- 30:34Speaker 7: You think they're tighter because they're more used to each other.
- 30:36Speaker 4: Yes.
- 30:37Speaker 3: And they scout each other more.
- 30:38Speaker 4: They know each other's game.
- 30:39Speaker 3: And you saw that yesterday with the Ravens and the Browns.
- 30:41Speaker 18: Yeah, the Chargers, I mean, the Chargers suck, but the
- 30:43Speaker 18: Titans suck too. They hadn't won a game. I for
- 30:46Speaker 18: sure thought that was, I thought it was a decent pick.
- 30:48Speaker 10: Showed you.
- 30:49Speaker 17: I know.
- 30:49Speaker 4: Yeah, Sammy.
- 30:50Speaker 3: Dang, suck on that.
- 30:51Speaker 4: I mean, that Chiefs pick would be an obvious pick.
- 30:53Speaker 4: would be an obvious one, other than the fact that
- 30:55Speaker 4: it was a division game, so I stayed away from that.
- 30:57Speaker 11: Okay.
- 30:58Speaker 3: So, Jeff, with the Chargers are now 0-6.
- 31:01Speaker 4: Yes.
- 31:01Speaker 3: How confident should a Niners fan be that tonight they'll
- 31:04Speaker 3: be 6-0? I would say very confident.
- 31:07Speaker 4: Really?
- 31:07Speaker 3: Very confident. Because I kind of feel that way, but
- 31:09Speaker 3: I don't want to ruin anything.
- 31:10Speaker 14: I mean, the commander's quarterback doesn't even know how a
- 31:12Speaker 14: clock works, so you'll be fine.
- 31:14Speaker 4: Okay. That's true.
- 31:15Speaker 3: Meanwhile, in baseball, Tampa beat the Guardians 3-1 in Game
- 31:19Speaker 3: 5 to take a 3-2 lead in the ALCS, and
- 31:21Speaker 3: they can punch their ticket to the World Series if
- 31:23Speaker 3: they win tonight at home. In other news, they're calling
- 31:27Speaker 3: it civil unrest, which I don't think is accurate in France.
- 31:31Speaker 3: It's more like widespread riots and looting and vandalism and arson,
- 31:34Speaker 3: the worst so-called civil unrest in years. The nationwide protest
- 31:38Speaker 3: started as a student protest, and they were protesting about
- 31:41Speaker 3: the state of education in France.
- 31:42Speaker 7: That lasted about five minutes.
- 31:43Speaker 3: Yeah, so this just spread to an overall protest about
- 31:46Speaker 3: the cost of living and declining public services, and it's
- 31:49Speaker 3: gone into full-on violence. Half a million people are out
- 31:52Speaker 3: in the streets. They're looting stores. They're vandalizing buildings. In
- 31:56Speaker 3: the town of Limoges, a historic town hall just got
- 31:58Speaker 3: burned to the ground.
- 31:59Speaker 4: I saw that. It's like been around for like 140
- 32:01Speaker 4: some years. Burned to the ground.
- 32:03Speaker 3: Built in the late 1800s out of wood and it's gone.
- 32:07Speaker 3: Businesses all across France are being ransacked.
- 32:10Speaker 7: Oh, and it was heartbreaking.
- 32:11Speaker 6: They showed, I mean, there was a lot of businesses,
- 32:13Speaker 6: but this one woman, not elderly, but like older, standing
- 32:16Speaker 6: in front of her shop, crying, begging them not to
- 32:19Speaker 6: take things.
- 32:19Speaker 7: And they just pushed her out of the way. Yeah.
- 32:21Speaker 10: I mean, that's how it goes down there. When they
- 32:23Speaker 10: have the protests, it gets crazy. Like the gas prices
- 32:26Speaker 10: get too high. They just start burning everything to the ground,
- 32:29Speaker 10: but actually it does. I'm not, I'm not condoning this
- 32:32Speaker 10: at all. But over there, when they burn everything to
- 32:35Speaker 10: the ground, stuff actually does happen. Versus in America, we
- 32:38Speaker 10: burn everything down and then we keep.
- 32:40Speaker 7: On voting to pay more money. It was the age
- 32:41Speaker 7: of retirement. They rioted over it.
- 32:42Speaker 4: It's like, okay, fine.
- 32:43Speaker 3: You can retire at 50.
- 32:44Speaker 4: Isn't this different? I've seen conflicting things.
- 32:47Speaker 7: Well, there's flags being put up.
- 32:49Speaker 4: I don't really follow it. I don't really understand. I mean,
- 32:52Speaker 4: I know they said it started with student protests, right?
- 32:54Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 32:55Speaker 4: And it's now, obviously, other people just will take... whatever
- 32:58Speaker 4: it is, and use it as an opportunity to.
- 33:01Speaker 7: Jump in and pile on.
- 33:03Speaker 4: And there are people who just like to break and
- 33:04Speaker 4: burn stuff and just cause destruction.
- 33:07Speaker 3: It's no longer about any of these things.
- 33:09Speaker 13: Oh, hell no.
- 33:10Speaker 3: It's just people being losers. It becomes a mob mentality
- 33:12Speaker 3: because they don't sit to think, okay, we're protesting the
- 33:16Speaker 3: cost of living, so let's destroy stuff which is going
- 33:18Speaker 3: to affect everybody when it comes to the cost of living.
- 33:21Speaker 4: Here's what I like. I like the fact that the
- 33:24Speaker 4: government is saying they're going to find out who's responsible.
- 33:28Speaker 4: Every person they can track down from every video, anybody
- 33:31Speaker 4: that they can find who's responsible, they're going to hold
- 33:33Speaker 4: them fully accountable to the fullest extent of the law.
- 33:37Speaker 7: While this kicked off, Macron was at a Celine Dion concert. Like, no, no, no, no, no.
- 33:41Speaker 6: You leave the concert and come deal with this. Like,
- 33:43Speaker 6: now he wants to do something?
- 33:45Speaker 17: But it's Celine Dion.
- 33:46Speaker 4: You're just going to walk out?
- 33:48Speaker 6: And then the leader of Poland is like, don't come here.
- 33:50Speaker 6: Don't come to this border. I'm telling you right now.
- 33:52Speaker 4: There was a time not that long ago we weren't
- 33:54Speaker 4: sure if we'd ever see Celine Dion live again.
- 33:55Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 33:56Speaker 7: You know what?
- 33:56Speaker 4: That's a good point.
- 33:57Speaker 3: This is his chance.
- 33:58Speaker 7: A stiff person.
- 33:59Speaker 4: There's bound to be another destructive protest. Let's just stop
- 34:03Speaker 4: calling it a protest. It's just destruction.
- 34:05Speaker 3: It's a riot. It's a riot.
- 34:07Speaker 4: There's no protest going on.
- 34:09Speaker 14: And it really sucks for the people that are trying
- 34:11Speaker 14: to make a point and trying to affect change, and
- 34:13Speaker 14: then you got everybody else just ruining that message.
- 34:16Speaker 3: Because they want a free Louis purse. Right, exactly. Well,
- 34:19Speaker 3: so far there have been 2,400 arrests, and almost 1,000
- 34:23Speaker 3: police officers have been injured. And then we're talking about football.
- 34:26Speaker 3: Despite all this, the NFL says the Saints-Steelers game in Paris...
- 34:30Speaker 3: Still on. I know a bunch of people who are
- 34:32Speaker 3: going to that. I'm like, I'm not going. I did
- 34:34Speaker 3: see one video.
- 34:35Speaker 4: It's not like it's the whole area. It's like the news.
- 34:38Speaker 4: It's neighborhoods. I didn't want to go there to begin with.
- 34:42Speaker 4: You know, I have a very big, like, no international
- 34:45Speaker 4: travel policy.
- 34:47Speaker 3: But now is not the time.
- 34:49Speaker 4: Yeah, but I did see there was one video of
- 34:50Speaker 4: this guy and his lady. They're sitting in this cafe
- 34:53Speaker 4: just having a little coffee. There's literally a fire burning
- 34:56Speaker 4: in the background, and they are, like, just completely unconcerned.
- 34:58Speaker 3: Did you see that?
- 34:59Speaker 14: I saw that, and I saw a jogger just go through, like,
- 35:02Speaker 14: she's just minding her own business, jogging right through.
- 35:03Speaker 3: All of them.
- 35:04Speaker 4: It's like when you see chaos in New York, and, like,
- 35:05Speaker 4: people are, like, New Yorkers don't even notice.
- 35:07Speaker 7: They're like, oh.
- 35:08Speaker 3: There's a guy in the machete? Oh, I didn't even
- 35:10Speaker 3: see it.
- 35:10Speaker 7: Only in New York.
- 35:11Speaker 3: I think that would be me. I'm Mr. I don't
- 35:13Speaker 3: want to get involved. I'm just taking a job.
- 35:15Speaker 4: Yeah, but you wouldn't be sitting there at the cafe
- 35:16Speaker 4: having a coffee literally within a block of a giant
- 35:20Speaker 4: fire and people riding.
- 35:21Speaker 3: No, I would go to a different cafe far, far away. Also,
- 35:26Speaker 3: over the weekend, a woman drove her pickup truck onto
- 35:28Speaker 3: a youth soccer field in Wichita, ended up killing two
- 35:31Speaker 3: people and injuring 10 others. So the two who were
- 35:34Speaker 3: killed were a six-year-old boy and a 35-year-old man. They're
- 35:36Speaker 3: not related, but those are the two that were killed.
- 35:39Speaker 3: And this happened at the Stryker Sports Complex. The woman
- 35:41Speaker 3: who was behind the wheel was released by police without charges.
- 35:46Speaker 7: Excuse me?
- 35:46Speaker 4: This is why this story is so confusing. She had
- 35:49Speaker 4: a stroke or something? Did she not drive onto the field? Yeah.
- 35:51Speaker 4: So how does that happen?
- 35:54Speaker 3: That's weird.
- 35:54Speaker 4: You thought it was the road? Investigators are trying to
- 35:56Speaker 4: figure out. I know, but they released her.
- 35:58Speaker 3: They must have.
- 35:58Speaker 4: Well, I was going to say, you must have something.
- 36:01Speaker 4: But then again, didn't they just release that guy? who
- 36:03Speaker 4: shot like two kids in front of the homecoming game.
- 36:05Speaker 3: They did. And it was, you know, a couple days later.
- 36:08Speaker 3: But she was at least charged and then released on bail.
- 36:10Speaker 7: Like she wasn't in a Waymo, was she?
- 36:12Speaker 3: She wasn't even charged because after the crash, they talked
- 36:14Speaker 3: to about 30 witnesses. They did a toxicology test on
- 36:17Speaker 3: the driver. And now they're waiting on those toxicology results.
- 36:21Speaker 3: And they're also waiting on a mechanical inspection of the truck.
- 36:24Speaker 3: But again, So far, no charges have been filed.
- 36:27Speaker 14: What I don't understand is, don't they have a duty
- 36:30Speaker 14: to protect her as well? Because if she's out and
- 36:32Speaker 14: about and you killed my kid, I might be coming
- 36:35Speaker 14: for you. And that's kind of weird. It doesn't make
- 36:38Speaker 14: sense to me.
- 36:39Speaker 3: We'll find out more, I would imagine, pretty quick. Pretty quick.
- 36:43Speaker 3: And then finally, as far as the box office goes,
- 36:45Speaker 3: Street Fighter took that number one spot over the weekend,
- 36:48Speaker 3: raking in about $ 31 million domestically and then another $ 51
- 36:51Speaker 3: million worldwide. Now, it did cost $ 82 million to make,
- 36:55Speaker 3: so it's off to a decent start, but it still
- 36:57Speaker 3: has a way to go. Audience, they seem to like it, though,
- 37:00Speaker 3: so that's good.
- 37:01Speaker 7: Yeah, I just watched it.
- 37:02Speaker 3: And then that movie Whale Fall about a scuba diver
- 37:06Speaker 3: who gets swallowed by a whale, that came in fourth.
- 37:09Speaker 7: That's real?
- 37:09Speaker 4: Made $ 8 million.
- 37:11Speaker 3: That's what I said when I saw the trailer for
- 37:13Speaker 3: the first time. I'm like, this is a joke, right?
- 37:15Speaker 6: It's like in a comedy with, like, the movie posters
- 37:17Speaker 6: in the background, like joke posters.
- 37:19Speaker 3: Wait, so, like, is what real?
- 37:21Speaker 4: The story or the fact that it's a movie? No,
- 37:23Speaker 4: that this movie exists.
- 37:24Speaker 14: Oh, yeah.
- 37:25Speaker 3: I believe that the movie exists. See, I thought the
- 37:27Speaker 3: movie didn't exist.
- 37:28Speaker 4: I know, same. But they're not trying to say it
- 37:30Speaker 4: was a true.
- 37:31Speaker 3: Story, right?
- 37:32Speaker 1: No.
- 37:32Speaker 3: No.
- 37:33Speaker 7: Is it a slapstick comedy?
- 37:35Speaker 3: No, but I did see this one article where somebody
- 37:38Speaker 3: asked a quote expert, could this happen? And they said
- 37:40Speaker 3: the movie got it right as far as which type
- 37:43Speaker 3: of whale would have swallowed the guy. But biologically, you
- 37:46Speaker 3: would not survive.
- 37:47Speaker 7: Hello, ever heard of Jonah?
- 37:48Speaker 3: Dude, I... Sperm whales swallow, don't they?
- 37:52Speaker 10: When I was at the movie theater, I was, you know,
- 37:54Speaker 10: buying popcorn and I saw the... gigantic whale popcorn bucket.
- 37:58Speaker 10: I had no idea about this movie. I'm like, why
- 38:00Speaker 10: is there this huge whale? It looked like it was
- 38:03Speaker 10: two and a half feet long.
- 38:04Speaker 3: Oh, really?
- 38:06Speaker 4: Can you even fit that in your seat?
- 38:08Speaker 3: Probably not. I think this is going to be like
- 38:11Speaker 3: Sharknado where it's so dumb that people want to see it.
- 38:15Speaker 3: One surprise hit was, if you can still call it that,
- 38:18Speaker 3: the Elizabeth Holmes documentary. You can see everything. Second place,
- 38:22Speaker 3: 15 million bucks.
- 38:24Speaker 7: Almost three hours long.
- 38:25Speaker 3: And then that horror movie Other Mommy made $ 8. 4 million.
- 38:28Speaker 3: And then $ 7. 3 million for The Boring Sense and Sensibility.
- 38:33Speaker 3: People actually wanted to see that. So that's what's going on, Wood.
- 38:36Speaker 3: All right.
- 38:37Speaker 4: Thank you very much, Greg Gorey.
- 38:38Speaker 3: You got it.
- 38:38Speaker 4: More Woody Show next time.
- 38:40Speaker 2: The Woody Show will return.
- 38:41Speaker 4: What is.
- 38:43Speaker 1: Happening here at The Woody Show?
- 38:45Speaker 2: Now I feel like an idiot.
- 38:47Speaker 4: So everybody got their Halloween stash ready to go?
- 38:52Speaker 7: Oh, not yet.
- 38:53Speaker 4: We hit up Costco.
- 38:55Speaker 3: And bought the full bars again. Full bars.
- 38:57Speaker 8: Oh, nice.
- 38:58Speaker 4: Going full bars again.
- 38:59Speaker 7: What are the choices?
- 39:00Speaker 13: Everything?
- 39:01Speaker 3: Well, I have to make it... It's like a variety pack, right?
- 39:03Speaker 8: It is.
- 39:03Speaker 4: I have to make another stop today because the one
- 39:05Speaker 4: that I got has.
- 39:08Speaker 4: Hershey bars that are regular and almond, Kit Kat, and
- 39:13Speaker 4: Reese's Peanut Butter Cups.
- 39:14Speaker 8: Perfect.
- 39:14Speaker 3: Okay.
- 39:15Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 39:15Speaker 4: But now we're missing the Snickers, Twix, Three Musketeers, and
- 39:20Speaker 4: I think Starburst is in the other one. They're like
- 39:22Speaker 4: the mayor. But they didn't have those at my particular Costco.
- 39:26Speaker 3: Which they normally do. They normally have both variety packs,
- 39:29Speaker 3: but they didn't.
- 39:30Speaker 4: Have that. And so now I have to make another
- 39:32Speaker 4: stop to make sure that we're all set and ready
- 39:34Speaker 4: to go.
- 39:35Speaker 3: Is your son ripping out hard that it's on a Saturday?
- 39:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 39:40Speaker 7: With an extra hour?
- 39:40Speaker 3: I mean, this is like his Super Bowl.
- 39:43Speaker 2: It is.
- 39:44Speaker 4: And he's conflicted because I told you he made the
- 39:46Speaker 4: high school hockey team.
- 39:47Speaker 3: Yeah. And they have a game.
- 39:50Speaker 4: He's skipping the game that's how important halloween is yeah
- 39:56Speaker 4: halloween's once a year and the kid lives for this
- 40:01Speaker 4: he lives for it yeah you know the whole yard
- 40:03Speaker 4: display he takes every you know like not every dollar
- 40:07Speaker 4: but he takes his own money that he makes from
- 40:10Speaker 4: working and he asked for money for christmas and birthdays
- 40:13Speaker 4: and things like that and he invested into these I
- 40:15Speaker 4: say invest because not only does he get a really
- 40:18Speaker 4: cool display out of it, he does a really great
- 40:19Speaker 4: job with it.
- 40:20Speaker 3: Oh, my God.
- 40:20Speaker 7: It's incredible.
- 40:22Speaker 4: He then takes these animatronics that he gets, whether it's
- 40:25Speaker 4: from Spirit or other places, and he knows which ones
- 40:28Speaker 4: are hot. And he puts them right back out online
- 40:31Speaker 4: and sells them most of the time for.
- 40:33Speaker 3: More than what he bought them for. That rules.
- 40:35Speaker 1: Cool.
- 40:35Speaker 4: Yeah, and then he takes that money and reinvests it
- 40:38Speaker 4: into the display for next year so it looks different
- 40:40Speaker 4: than it did the year before.
- 40:41Speaker 7: It's awesome.
- 40:43Speaker 4: Incredible. I'm impressed, and I have some hope for his future.
- 40:46Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 40:46Speaker 4: You know, when you see him, like, taking initiative and
- 40:48Speaker 4: planning things and budgeting and having, like, a project, you know, schedule.
- 40:54Speaker 7: And totally independent. Nobody's, like, breathing down his neck.
- 40:56Speaker 4: To do this.
- 40:57Speaker 3: No, no.
- 40:57Speaker 4: Are you kidding?
- 40:58Speaker 3: I got to say, though, I'm super surprised that he
- 41:01Speaker 3: could just say to the team, Yeah, I'm not going
- 41:03Speaker 3: to be at that game. That would have never flown
- 41:06Speaker 3: in my high school.
- 41:06Speaker 1: No, never.
- 41:07Speaker 4: Well, other people have things that happen, you know, that
- 41:09Speaker 4: can't make it because it's, you know, grandma and grandpa's
- 41:12Speaker 4: 50th anniversary party. You know, it's one game. It's from
- 41:16Speaker 4: the entire, he goes to everything as part of all
- 41:19Speaker 4: of it.
- 41:20Speaker 3: And I'm not giving them to her.
- 41:23Speaker 17: I get it. I just wasn't allowed to.
- 41:25Speaker 18: I had just practiced on Halloween for gymnastics, and I
- 41:28Speaker 18: still had to go.
- 41:29Speaker 17: They made all of us be there. My parents would
- 41:30Speaker 17: make me go, and then I would rush to try
- 41:32Speaker 17: and trick-or-treat after. I was like seven or eight.
- 41:35Speaker 4: The game doesn't start until 4 p.m., and it's two
- 41:39Speaker 4: hours away. Why would they schedule it?
- 41:41Speaker 17: Oh, ew.
- 41:43Speaker 4: Well, because they're high school kids. So, I mean, are
- 41:46Speaker 4: they supposed to be out there trick-or-treating? Not really. A
- 41:48Speaker 4: little too old for that. I did see, who knows
- 41:50Speaker 4: if this is real or not. I believe that it
- 41:53Speaker 4: could be real just because HOAs are this way. Did
- 41:57Speaker 4: you see the thing going around about the HOA that
- 41:59Speaker 4: put the notice out to the residents?
- 42:02Speaker 3: About Halloween?
- 42:03Speaker 6: Yeah.
- 42:03Speaker 4: I hope this letter finds you well. As we approach
- 42:05Speaker 4: the Halloween season, the board has been discussing ways to
- 42:08Speaker 4: create a consistent and positive experience for for the children
- 42:11Speaker 4: in our community who go trick-or-treating. This year, the association
- 42:14Speaker 4: is encouraging all residents to hand out fun-sized candy bars only.
- 42:18Speaker 4: We're asking that full-sized candy bars not be distributed.
- 42:21Speaker 13: What?
- 42:22Speaker 4: This request is intended to help keep the experience consistent
- 42:25Speaker 4: throughout the neighborhood and to avoid situations where some homes
- 42:27Speaker 4: feel pressured to match larger offerings.
- 42:30Speaker 7: No, thank you. That's not up to you.
- 42:32Speaker 3: That's your problem.
- 42:34Speaker 1: Is it.
- 42:34Speaker 4: Am I saying this is 100% real? I just saw it.
- 42:36Speaker 4: I don't know if it's 100% real. I can't verify
- 42:39Speaker 4: that it's real. I believe.
- 42:40Speaker 3: It sounds real.
- 42:41Speaker 4: Very much because you see what happens when the letters
- 42:43Speaker 4: come home from the schools about things about, you got
- 42:46Speaker 4: to invite everybody.
- 42:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:48Speaker 4: But now we're treating the neighbor... And you've been to
- 42:50Speaker 4: these meetings and stuff.
- 42:51Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 42:52Speaker 4: And we treat now grown adults who bought houses, who
- 42:55Speaker 4: live in neighborhoods like children because you don't want them
- 42:58Speaker 4: to feel lesser. Left out, yeah.
- 43:00Speaker 3: Then you know what? Then... I don't know what.
- 43:03Speaker 4: To tell you.
- 43:04Speaker 7: Maybe home ownership isn't for you.
- 43:05Speaker 4: I'm saying, but if your whole self-worth is tied up into.
- 43:09Speaker 3: A Mars bar.
- 43:09Speaker 4: What a fun-sized or full-sized candy bar.
- 43:11Speaker 3: What a seven-year-old thinks of your candy bar.
- 43:13Speaker 4: Like, you know what? Save the money on all the candy,
- 43:15Speaker 4: turn your lights off, don't answer the door at all,
- 43:17Speaker 4: and use that money on therapy.
- 43:19Speaker 7: Don't participate.
- 43:20Speaker 4: Go see a therapist.
- 43:22Speaker 3: Right, imagine thinking like, oh my God, that six-year-old dressed
- 43:25Speaker 3: as Chewbacca doesn't think I'm cool. Yeah, because I don't
- 43:28Speaker 3: have a full-sized bar.
- 43:30Speaker 4: That's insane.
- 43:31Speaker 10: No one's thinking that.
- 43:32Speaker 6: Well, in a moment of, I don't know if I
- 43:34Speaker 6: had a temporary stroke or weakness, I signed up for
- 43:37Speaker 6: the school's trunk or treat parade.
- 43:39Speaker 3: Oh, you did? I did.
- 43:40Speaker 4: Yeah, those are cool when the kids are really little. Now,
- 43:44Speaker 4: when the kids are really, like your stepson is too
- 43:46Speaker 4: old for that. No, but it's for the whole.
- 43:48Speaker 7: School, so it'll be the little ones and stuff too.
- 43:50Speaker 6: And your wife hit me that there's car kits that
- 43:53Speaker 6: you can just make a trunk or treat thing, but
- 43:55Speaker 6: it's too late.
- 43:56Speaker 7: I already bought like.
- 43:57Speaker 6: $ 150 worth of eyeballs, and I thought the theme would
- 44:00Speaker 6: be eyeballs.
- 44:00Speaker 4: Dude, some people go crazy on their setups for these trunk.
- 44:04Speaker 7: Or tree things.
- 44:06Speaker 3: Have you seen?
- 44:06Speaker 4: I've heard. I've never been to one. Go on social
- 44:09Speaker 4: media and see some of the things that people do.
- 44:12Speaker 7: Like smoke machines.
- 44:13Speaker 4: Dude, they'll open up the back of the SUV, and
- 44:15Speaker 4: it's like they had a Disney Imagineer do it. Cool.
- 44:18Speaker 3: It's crazy.
- 44:19Speaker 2: It's like a haunted house.
- 44:20Speaker 3: The kids go from car to car to car.
- 44:21Speaker 17: Yes.
- 44:22Speaker 7: Go from trunk to trunk, and you leave the thing open.
- 44:24Speaker 3: For the whole school?
- 44:25Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 44:25Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 44:27Speaker 7: Well, they're taking donations.
- 44:29Speaker 3: The whole school doesn't show up.
- 44:30Speaker 6: But the neighbor kid said, oh, yeah, all the kids
- 44:32Speaker 6: come out. So we're going to need to get some candy.
- 44:35Speaker 6: And we're giving out eyeballs.
- 44:37Speaker 4: But even if the HOA sent that notice out, I'm
- 44:41Speaker 4: still handing out full-size candy bars.
- 44:42Speaker 7: Oh, you wouldn't take it all back?
- 44:43Speaker 4: You're not going to step on my dream.
- 44:45Speaker 3: That's right.
- 44:46Speaker 4: I told you. Like how Menace wanted to have that
- 44:48Speaker 4: KitchenAid mixer.
- 44:50Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:50Speaker 4: Even though he doesn't use it.
- 44:51Speaker 3: On display.
- 44:52Speaker 4: It was just, it's what it represented.
- 44:54Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 44:55Speaker 3: For me, it represents, you know what? You've done okay.
- 44:58Speaker 3: This is what success looks like. Yeah.
- 45:00Speaker 4: And I'm handing it out. So I'm doing something for
- 45:03Speaker 4: the community.
- 45:03Speaker 13: Right.
- 45:04Speaker 3: And Bob in unit four is not going to kill that.
- 45:08Speaker 4: I remember being the kid and going to the house
- 45:10Speaker 4: that had the full-size candy bar and thinking, man, that's
- 45:13Speaker 4: so cool. I got a full-size candy bar. Someday I
- 45:17Speaker 4: want to be that house. Mm-hmm. I'm going to pay
- 45:20Speaker 4: it forward. I got the full-size candy bars now. I
- 45:23Speaker 4: can go to Costco and I can get these multi-packs.
- 45:25Speaker 4: And by the way, it's like 30 bars in each thing.
- 45:30Speaker 4: It's like $ 11 or $ 12 or something like that for
- 45:34Speaker 4: 30 full-size candy bars.
- 45:35Speaker 7: I thought it would bankrupt our family as a child.
- 45:37Speaker 3: No, dude.
- 45:37Speaker 4: That's the thing. It's really....
- 45:40Speaker 3: Not that bad.
- 45:41Speaker 4: And I was looking at the prices because I went
- 45:43Speaker 4: to the grocery store and I saw like the fun
- 45:45Speaker 4: size stuff.
- 45:46Speaker 3: Yeah, that's basically the same price.
- 45:47Speaker 4: But I'm saying like, you know how when you compare
- 45:50Speaker 4: like rolls of toilet paper or paper towel and you
- 45:53Speaker 4: see like how many square feet of actual product you get? Like, man,
- 45:57Speaker 4: those fun size bags are rip off for what they
- 45:59Speaker 4: charge for the fun size.
- 46:00Speaker 13: Totally.
- 46:01Speaker 4: And you see how much actual product or chocolate in
- 46:03Speaker 4: it compared to, like I say, a variety pack of
- 46:07Speaker 4: the full size stuff. Dude, go to Costco, Sam's Club, Walmart.
- 46:10Speaker 7: Target.
- 46:10Speaker 3: They all sell those multi-packs.
- 46:12Speaker 7: Now, who passes it out?
- 46:13Speaker 3: My son. Okay. I don't have to do any of it.
- 46:15Speaker 3: It's great.
- 46:16Speaker 4: I used to hire Randy, who worked on the show.
- 46:17Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 46:18Speaker 4: I forgot about that. I don't answer the door for trick-or-treaters.
- 46:22Speaker 3: I'm not like you, Gina.
- 46:23Speaker 7: Yeah, I want to be involved.
- 46:24Speaker 10: They're definitely not dialing it back at all in my neighborhood, though.
- 46:28Speaker 10: It's full on Halloween and Christmas wars.
- 46:31Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 46:32Speaker 3: Yeah, dude.
- 46:32Speaker 4: People have massive displays everywhere.
- 46:35Speaker 3: Yeah, people get into it.
- 46:36Speaker 1: You know what?
- 46:37Speaker 3: That's nice.
- 46:37Speaker 4: I like it.
- 46:38Speaker 3: It's nice. It is nice.
- 46:40Speaker 4: That's something if people want to go to war over
- 46:42Speaker 4: something and want to battle out something. Who has a
- 46:44Speaker 4: better display? You know what?
- 46:46Speaker 3: That's okay.
- 46:46Speaker 6: Your kid asked you to stand out there and just
- 46:48Speaker 6: put a little blood on your face.
- 46:50Speaker 4: No.
- 46:51Speaker 3: Dude, I am in the house.
- 46:53Speaker 4: I'm watching TV or doing whatever.
- 46:56Speaker 3: I'm not involved at all.
- 46:57Speaker 7: Okay.
- 46:58Speaker 3: I don't want any part of that.
- 47:00Speaker 1: Fun?
- 47:02Speaker 4: It's not fun.
- 47:02Speaker 3: I don't want to deal with other people's kids. It's
- 47:04Speaker 3: just not my thing.
- 47:05Speaker 7: But you're not like, oh my God, you're a little princess.
- 47:07Speaker 7: You're an astronaut.
- 47:08Speaker 18: No.
- 47:09Speaker 7: Oh, that's my thing.
- 47:12Speaker 4: Oh, Greg, can you imagine being excited?
- 47:14Speaker 3: I can't believe she asked you that.
- 47:16Speaker 4: Have we met?
- 47:16Speaker 7: But you only get.
- 47:17Speaker 6: Baby fever when you see cute clothes. Costumes are another level.
- 47:21Speaker 3: I mean, it depends on the age of the kid.
- 47:23Speaker 4: Jeff, are you handing out candy? Yeah.
- 47:25Speaker 7: There we go.
- 47:26Speaker 3: You know what I do, though? Here's my move. Kids
- 47:28Speaker 3: have a ton of germs, and you know I'm a germaphobe.
- 47:30Speaker 3: So I put a table with a bunch of candy,
- 47:31Speaker 3: and I say, take one.
- 47:32Speaker 14: But I sit there with a cooler full of beers,
- 47:35Speaker 14: and I watch whatever football's on, and I hand out
- 47:37Speaker 14: beers to the parents that look like they're having a
- 47:39Speaker 14: bad night.
- 47:39Speaker 7: You're badass.
- 47:41Speaker 3: But in the driveway, I just kind of hang out.
- 47:43Speaker 7: That's a good idea.
- 47:45Speaker 3: No kid interaction.
- 47:46Speaker 1: Beer.
- 47:46Speaker 15: Beer.
- 47:47Speaker 3: And TV. I'm good.
- 47:48Speaker 17: Are you one of those people who has the TV
- 47:50Speaker 17: out visible?
- 47:51Speaker 4: Like in the garage?
- 47:52Speaker 3: No, usually just an iPad.
- 47:53Speaker 18: That's nice because so often it's like the World Series
- 47:55Speaker 18: is going on on Halloween and you're like.
- 47:57Speaker 4: What's the score?
- 47:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 47:58Speaker 4: Like you could say I'm a dick and all, but
- 48:00Speaker 4: I'm the guy handing out full-size candy bars in my house.
- 48:02Speaker 4: My house is the one that hands out full-size candy bars.
- 48:04Speaker 7: Try to find a problem with you.
- 48:05Speaker 4: Yeah. So you can say I'm a dick because I'm
- 48:06Speaker 4: not interested in what your kid's wearing.
- 48:08Speaker 7: But here's the thing.
- 48:09Speaker 4: I'm not even out there pretending.
- 48:10Speaker 3: Yeah, that's true.
- 48:11Speaker 4: But I am funding the full-size candy bars.
- 48:13Speaker 7: You're underwriting the whole night.
- 48:14Speaker 1: Correct.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Don't you want to see the joy on their face
- 48:16Speaker 3: when they get that, though?
- 48:17Speaker 8: No.
- 48:17Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 48:18Speaker 3: That's for my son. My son gets enjoyment out of that. Okay.
- 48:22Speaker 4: Last year, we had over 600 kids.
- 48:24Speaker 3: Dude.
- 48:26Speaker 4: He's keeping track. He's got to look because he wants
- 48:28Speaker 4: to see how many people come and see the display.
- 48:31Speaker 3: Awesome.
- 48:32Speaker 17: What about that, though?
- 48:33Speaker 18: Your son does this huge display, and he likes to
- 48:35Speaker 18: be out there to see people's.
- 48:36Speaker 17: Reaction to his display.
- 48:38Speaker 18: You don't also want to see the reaction of the
- 48:41Speaker 18: people for the display that your son did to be
- 48:43Speaker 18: like so proud of.
- 48:44Speaker 4: The whole thing?
- 48:45Speaker 3: I see the display.
- 48:45Speaker 17: I take it back.
- 48:46Speaker 3: No, I see the display.
- 48:47Speaker 4: I go, hey, when you get it all set up
- 48:49Speaker 4: and it's all ready to go before the kids get here,
- 48:51Speaker 4: let me know. I come out and I take a look.
- 48:53Speaker 4: I always do a video.
- 48:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 48:55Speaker 4: And I see the joy on his face. That's what
- 48:57Speaker 4: I care about. My son.
- 48:58Speaker 3: No, that's true.
- 48:58Speaker 4: And the enjoyment that he gets. And then after the night,
- 49:00Speaker 4: he's all pumped up.
- 49:01Speaker 1: Cool.
- 49:01Speaker 3: I feel good about that.
- 49:02Speaker 4: And then when it hits midnight, rip it down. No,
- 49:05Speaker 4: you know what?
- 49:05Speaker 17: I see this when I wake up.
- 49:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 49:08Speaker 3: No, I'm very supportive.
- 49:10Speaker 7: When does he take it down?
- 49:11Speaker 4: He usually takes it down the next day.
- 49:13Speaker 3: That's on him.
- 49:14Speaker 4: He's done with it. Because he's been doing it for
- 49:16Speaker 4: so long, he's like, I'm done.
- 49:18Speaker 7: He has to Take everything by himself?
- 49:20Speaker 4: Oh, yeah. And he has it down in record time.
- 49:23Speaker 7: That's amazing.
- 49:23Speaker 4: And I help him put it all away, like up
- 49:24Speaker 4: in the garage and stuff like that and box.
- 49:27Speaker 3: It all up and whatever. See, when I was a kid,
- 49:29Speaker 3: we never had full bar house, but we had the
- 49:31Speaker 3: lame Penny's house and the Raisins house.
- 49:35Speaker 4: Ew! The Raisins. The homemade baked goods house.
- 49:38Speaker 3: Nobody wants that. In the cellophane.
- 49:39Speaker 4: But I always felt bad because I'm like, oh, this
- 49:42Speaker 4: is where I have weird empathy, right? Like of all
- 49:43Speaker 4: the stuff I just said where you're like, oh, man,
- 49:45Speaker 4: Woody's such a dick. I had weird empathy even as
- 49:48Speaker 4: a kid where I'm thinking to myself, man, these people,
- 49:50Speaker 4: they went out, this lady went out, she bought all
- 49:52Speaker 4: the stuff to make these cookies. She spent all this
- 49:54Speaker 4: time and she was probably really excited thinking that, oh,
- 49:56Speaker 4: the kids are really gonna like these cookies that I make.
- 49:58Speaker 4: And she puts them in these little bags and she
- 50:00Speaker 4: puts little ghost stickers on them. And she hands them
- 50:03Speaker 4: out just knowing that all these moms are gonna throw
- 50:05Speaker 4: this away and we're not allowed to eat this stuff.
- 50:07Speaker 4: Because they probably think that she poisoned them. I felt
- 50:12Speaker 4: bad for her. My heart hurt for her. So you
- 50:15Speaker 4: took a cookie.
- 50:16Speaker 3: Of course. Take one and then you chuck it. Whatever.
- 50:19Speaker 10: She doesn't know any better.
- 50:20Speaker 3: I know.
- 50:21Speaker 10: She's a dumb old lady.
- 50:22Speaker 4: Your words, not mine. Like Morgan, didn't you put blow
- 50:29Speaker 4: your back out in Asia? Be more like Morgan.
- 50:31Speaker 10: The Woody Show.
- 50:39Speaker 3: Well, Morgan, what about your cheers and jeers?
- 50:42Speaker 8: Well, cheers goes to this listener of ours named Claire.
- 50:46Speaker 8: She sent me an email over the weekend.
- 50:47Speaker 17: It says, Hi, Morgan.
- 50:49Speaker 8: I'm at a music festival, and there was a sign
- 50:51Speaker 8: at the festival where the girls are asking if we're
- 50:53Speaker 8: Bush or Bear.
- 50:54Speaker 4: And I'm not a Bear.
- 50:56Speaker 17: How cool is that?
- 50:56Speaker 8: She said, I also told them about your segment and
- 50:58Speaker 8: the Woody show. I took this picture. I hope you
- 51:00Speaker 8: enjoy it. It's a sign of, you know, at festivals, they...
- 51:03Speaker 8: Carry around a bunch of signs.
- 51:04Speaker 1: Oh, wow.
- 51:05Speaker 4: So they literally did a tally.
- 51:07Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 51:07Speaker 17: A bush or no bush. Bear sounds cooler, but whatever.
- 51:11Speaker 7: Way more Bush, people.
- 51:12Speaker 4: I told you. Well, it's a music festival, yeah.
- 51:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:15Speaker 13: Really?
- 51:16Speaker 3: But what kind of music festival? Yeah.
- 51:17Speaker 17: She didn't say.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 51:19Speaker 17: But it looks like they're outside.
- 51:20Speaker 4: That might give some insight if you knew what kind
- 51:23Speaker 4: of music festival it was.
- 51:24Speaker 8: But I just think it's cool that like, wow, I
- 51:26Speaker 8: could die tomorrow and some random person out there only
- 51:28Speaker 8: knows me for like.
- 51:29Speaker 4: Bush and Bear. That's so cool. There was another, was
- 51:33Speaker 4: it Gina? Did you send this?
- 51:35Speaker 6: That girl came across my feed. She's doing it too.
- 51:38Speaker 4: It's, I don't know.
- 51:40Speaker 7: I think she might have got.
- 51:40Speaker 4: The idea from you. I don't know. I think it's
- 51:44Speaker 4: not like the, I hate it when, I hate it
- 51:46Speaker 4: when everybody thinks that everything's ripped off.
- 51:48Speaker 3: Well, I got, I mean, because everything is.
- 51:50Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 51:51Speaker 3: I mean, yeah.
- 51:52Speaker 4: To think that you are the first person to have
- 51:54Speaker 4: whatever thought or idea when there's however many billion people
- 51:59Speaker 4: out there.
- 51:59Speaker 3: Well, I haven't, it looks like it just started. No,
- 52:02Speaker 3: I know. I'm, I don't know.
- 52:04Speaker 4: Maybe I'm ultra sensitive to it because I feel like everybody,
- 52:07Speaker 4: like there's people you've never heard of. Never heard of.
- 52:10Speaker 4: And they go, oh, well, I'm being ripped off. You're
- 52:13Speaker 4: being ripped off? Didn't even hear about you until right now.
- 52:15Speaker 4: What are you talking about?
- 52:17Speaker 7: Yeah, this video's three days old, so it's possible.
- 52:20Speaker 4: It's one thing if it's like a word for word,
- 52:23Speaker 4: like you have comedians who go, oh, well, I had
- 52:25Speaker 4: a special last year, and now here's this comedian doing
- 52:29Speaker 4: my joke word for word.
- 52:32Speaker 3: Like, that's one thing. If it's word for word, I
- 52:34Speaker 3: understand that, like, there's an infinite number of jokes out
- 52:37Speaker 3: in the world.
- 52:38Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 52:38Speaker 3: Sometimes there might be a similarity.
- 52:40Speaker 4: Especially when you're talking about a concept, right?
- 52:43Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly.
- 52:44Speaker 4: There's an event and someone has a, you know, a
- 52:47Speaker 4: take or a thought about said event. They make a
- 52:50Speaker 4: joke or, you know, they have something that goes, you know, their, their, uh,
- 52:54Speaker 4: their epiphany. Don't you think two people probably had their, uh,
- 52:58Speaker 4: Chances are the two people had the same general thought.
- 53:00Speaker 3: They got the same conclusion, the same punchline. Yeah, exactly.
- 53:04Speaker 4: But yeah, here's this lesbian chick.
- 53:07Speaker 1: What?
- 53:07Speaker 4: Well, that's what she was doing. She was a lesbian chick.
- 53:10Speaker 3: And she's lesbian?
- 53:10Speaker 13: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 53:11Speaker 1: Dang it.
- 53:11Speaker 4: Yeah, so there's a lesbian angle to it. So many similarities.
- 53:14Speaker 4: I know. And she was asking other chicks. She called
- 53:17Speaker 4: herself the lesbian, so I forget.
- 53:19Speaker 17: Bush or no Bush?
- 53:21Speaker 4: Bush all the way. Bush for sure.
- 53:24Speaker 7: Anyway, Bush, no Bush.
- 53:25Speaker 10: I'm in there.
- 53:26Speaker 17: Bush or no Bush? Bush, all the way. Bush or
- 53:29Speaker 17: no Bush?
- 53:30Speaker 4: No.
- 53:31Speaker 3: Bush is not out of control.
- 53:33Speaker 17: If you trim, if you trim, it's okay. But if
- 53:36Speaker 17: it's just like too much, it's too much.
- 53:38Speaker 4: She was just asking other lesbians, though.
- 53:40Speaker 17: Oh, and she's also not like, you know, lubing them
- 53:43Speaker 17: up with questions.
- 53:43Speaker 3: I don't think she needs to lube them up. They're
- 53:45Speaker 3: at like a pride festival.
- 53:47Speaker 17: Going straight into it.
- 53:48Speaker 4: Yeah, exactly.
- 53:48Speaker 17: Well, it's cool to inspire people.
- 53:49Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 53:50Speaker 17: Uh, maybe I'll be lesbian someday.
- 53:52Speaker 8: My jeers goes to, I went to the movies over
- 53:55Speaker 8: the weekend, which I hadn't been to a movie theater
- 53:56Speaker 8: in like over a year. I saw the, you can
- 53:59Speaker 8: see everything.
- 54:00Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 54:00Speaker 17: Nathan Fielder movie.
- 54:01Speaker 3: Oh my God.
- 54:03Speaker 17: I'll just, that's not my jeers.
- 54:04Speaker 7: Amazing.
- 54:05Speaker 17: If you're a fan of Nathan Fielder and documentaries, I just,
- 54:08Speaker 17: I can't stop.
- 54:08Speaker 3: Like what about it?
- 54:09Speaker 4: Like give me something like specific where that, that, that
- 54:12Speaker 4: elicits the, Oh my God. I, God, it's hard because
- 54:15Speaker 4: I don't want to give anything away. It is just, Well,
- 54:18Speaker 4: we know the general story, right? How about this?
- 54:21Speaker 10: I saw Nathan Fielder and he said it was so
- 54:24Speaker 10: hard to feel that she wasn't genuine.
- 54:27Speaker 1: Yes.
- 54:27Speaker 17: Did you feel that?
- 54:30Speaker 13: Yes.
- 54:30Speaker 8: Well, you leave like wondering who are these people i.
- 54:34Speaker 17: Don't know who to believe like these people maybe maybe.
- 54:37Speaker 8: I'm on her side elizabeth like her and the husband
- 54:40Speaker 8: her husband is a whack job so like that's a
- 54:43Speaker 8: whole separate thing uh but then like she even almost
- 54:45Speaker 8: fools nathan or you just question everything and well she's
- 54:49Speaker 8: gotta be.
- 54:49Speaker 4: Like a master manipulator oh for sure think.
- 54:52Speaker 7: About how much money out of people because.
- 54:54Speaker 3: She truly believes she did nothing wrong that's the thing.
- 54:57Speaker 17: Though she truly believes this.
- 55:00Speaker 4: But you have to. I think you have to to
- 55:02Speaker 4: pull something like that up. Think about the people whose
- 55:04Speaker 4: money she got. These are not dumb people. These are
- 55:07Speaker 4: smart people.
- 55:07Speaker 10: That's why I'm slightly on her side when it comes
- 55:11Speaker 10: to this stuff. Because she got all this money from
- 55:14Speaker 10: angel investors, right? And people do this all the time
- 55:17Speaker 10: in the tech world where they pretty much sell an
- 55:19Speaker 10: idea that has not been accomplished yet. And I just
- 55:23Speaker 10: believe she borrowed money from the wrong people. And then
- 55:27Speaker 10: she got called on it. And then so they went
- 55:29Speaker 10: after her.
- 55:30Speaker 7: What makes them the wrong people?
- 55:31Speaker 4: Because people do that all the time.
- 55:32Speaker 10: I know somebody that got $ 65 million to start a
- 55:37Speaker 10: website that had to do with the law, right? Like
- 55:41Speaker 10: law firm, like online thing, right? It never came to be.
- 55:46Speaker 10: So that's $ 65 million in the wind. So this happens
- 55:50Speaker 10: all the time.
- 55:51Speaker 4: So I'm sure.
- 55:52Speaker 10: That person that got that money could, I mean, gave
- 55:55Speaker 10: the money to the person that started the law firm website, whatever,
- 55:58Speaker 10: could have went after them.
- 55:58Speaker 3: But in this case, wasn't she saying that this worked?
- 56:01Speaker 7: She built it, quote unquote.
- 56:02Speaker 1: Yes.
- 56:03Speaker 17: But the way she says everything is so careful.
- 56:06Speaker 8: Like every way she answers everything, like she never actually
- 56:09Speaker 8: says like it works. She says there's components to it
- 56:11Speaker 8: that work or we've built the, you know, the idea
- 56:15Speaker 8: or the chemistry.
- 56:15Speaker 17: That can make it work.
- 56:17Speaker 3: I'm interested to see it. Yeah, you should.
- 56:19Speaker 17: It's so good.
- 56:20Speaker 7: I think it's a couch movie, though.
- 56:21Speaker 8: No, I really think you should see it in the theater.
- 56:24Speaker 8: But again, I was there opening weekend.
- 56:25Speaker 4: They have a special like promotional popcorn bucket for it.
- 56:28Speaker 10: Yeah, her head.
- 56:30Speaker 17: No, a vial of blood.
- 56:32Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 56:32Speaker 8: But that brings me to my jeers. Actually, Woody, I
- 56:35Speaker 8: hadn't had popcorn at a movie theater in a long time.
- 56:38Speaker 8: And that's all I wanted. Like the smell of it.
- 56:40Speaker 8: I'm like, oh, I'm going to eat some good popcorn.
- 56:42Speaker 4: That crap sucks.
- 56:43Speaker 17: Like, I don't know why you guys like it. Maybe
- 56:46Speaker 17: I put too much butter on it.
- 56:47Speaker 3: I thought I was too much butter.
- 56:50Speaker 4: Too much butter, too much salt, too much money, too
- 56:54Speaker 4: big a penis.
- 56:55Speaker 3: Yeah, my abs are too flat.
- 56:56Speaker 7: They are now.
- 56:58Speaker 4: I'm kind of with you.
- 56:59Speaker 10: It's hit or miss on popcorn these days.
- 57:02Speaker 17: I just got some popcorn at the theaters recently, too,
- 57:04Speaker 17: and it was cold. It wasn't even warm. Like, you're
- 57:07Speaker 17: expecting it to be, like, this warm, fresh popcorn.
- 57:09Speaker 4: Sometimes it's stale.
- 57:09Speaker 17: Sometimes it's been sitting around for way too long.
- 57:11Speaker 4: In the bags.
- 57:12Speaker 17: But, no, I think it's my fault, actually. I over-buttered it.
- 57:15Speaker 2: See?
- 57:15Speaker 4: Because I was like, oh, there's no butter on it.
- 57:17Speaker 7: Or artificial butter flavor.
- 57:19Speaker 3: No way. I like popcorn.
- 57:21Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 57:21Speaker 3: And I'll eat it.
- 57:22Speaker 4: But then I always regret it because... Every time. Every
- 57:25Speaker 4: time I have popcorn... I get the little shell from
- 57:30Speaker 4: the kernel that's stuck at the very back of my tongue,
- 57:33Speaker 4: top of my throat, and I can't get it without
- 57:35Speaker 4: jamming my finger down my throat and scraping it out
- 57:38Speaker 4: because nothing I do, no matter how much I try
- 57:40Speaker 4: to rinse it out or whatever, it's not coming out.
- 57:43Speaker 3: I have to physically... pick it out of there or
- 57:46Speaker 3: it's like I got.
- 57:47Speaker 4: One of those things jammed between two teeth and I
- 57:49Speaker 4: go damn it never again I can't do popcorn anymore
- 57:52Speaker 4: super annoying it's the same way like super glue no matter.
- 57:56Speaker 7: How careful you are doesn't matter with.
- 57:58Speaker 3: Super glue you always end up with some.
- 58:01Speaker 7: Like on your shirt on your skin.
- 58:03Speaker 4: Yeah always no matter how careful Do you.
- 58:06Speaker 6: Guys actually wait to eat your popcorn? Have you ever
- 58:09Speaker 6: not finished it before the movie started? Or are you
- 58:11Speaker 6: a human being?
- 58:12Speaker 17: I didn't this time. Shout out to Retta.
- 58:13Speaker 3: But I think that's.
- 58:15Speaker 17: The only reason why I didn't.
- 58:17Speaker 7: Oh, it totally is.
- 58:18Speaker 17: But no, I mean, this is a hill I'll die on.
- 58:21Speaker 17: That popcorn sucks. It's the worst. Like, I'd rather have
- 58:25Speaker 17: Skinny Pop or like some.
- 58:27Speaker 4: I mean, I guess it depends on where you're going, right?
- 58:29Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 58:29Speaker 4: Again, it's hit or miss.
- 58:30Speaker 3: At least it's crazy cheap.
- 58:32Speaker 1: Oh, wait.
- 58:33Speaker 4: Oh, wait.
- 58:34Speaker 3: $ 20 million.
- 58:35Speaker 4: The Woody Show will be right back. All right, ladies
- 58:40Speaker 4: and gentlemen, we interrupt this Green Day song.
- 58:44Speaker 12: Sorry, Greg.
- 58:46Speaker 4: To go live on the scene to Jeff G.
- 58:51Speaker 3: Jeff Garcia. Jeff, are you there?
- 58:53Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 58:54Speaker 4: I'm here.
- 58:55Speaker 2: How are you guys?
- 58:55Speaker 4: Hey, so it's a delivery driver appreciation week here on
- 58:58Speaker 4: the Woody show. And, uh, the delivery I think has, uh,
- 59:00Speaker 4: has arrived.
- 59:01Speaker 3: Is the guy down there? Yeah. Todd is here with me.
- 59:04Speaker 9: He brought the Starbucks. He is actually familiar with the
- 59:08Speaker 9: Woody show.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Is that right?
- 59:09Speaker 9: You are.
- 59:10Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:10Speaker 9: So today, this week actually is delivery driver appreciation week.
- 59:14Speaker 9: So we would like to invite you up to the
- 59:17Speaker 9: Woody show and spin a wheel of gift cards and
- 59:20Speaker 9: you will leave today with a gift card in your hands.
- 59:22Speaker 9: No kidding.
- 59:23Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 59:23Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 59:23Speaker 3: That's awesome.
- 59:25Speaker 9: So you'll come up with those right now?
- 59:27Speaker 3: Yeah, for sure.
- 59:27Speaker 4: He already gets the tip. What did you put in
- 59:29Speaker 4: there for the tip, Menace?
- 59:31Speaker 10: I haven't finalized it yet.
- 59:33Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 59:33Speaker 7: We'll see how he does.
- 59:33Speaker 4: I thought you had to do that before you placed
- 59:35Speaker 4: the order. Some you do, some you don't.
- 59:37Speaker 3: Then you can amend it or whatever.
- 59:39Speaker 4: He gets the tip he's going to get anyway, plus
- 59:40Speaker 4: the gift card.
- 59:41Speaker 3: Yeah. Rep?
- 59:43Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 59:43Speaker 3: It's Todd's day. Can you hear us, Jeff?
- 59:46Speaker 4: Yeah, I can hear you guys.
- 59:47Speaker 3: Okay.
- 59:48Speaker 4: So are you on your way up?
- 59:51Speaker 9: Yeah, we're on our way up right now.
- 59:52Speaker 1: Okay.
- 59:53Speaker 13: All right.
- 59:53Speaker 2: So.
- 59:54Speaker 4: They're on their way up, and then we'll spin when
- 59:56Speaker 4: he gets up here, okay? Okay, cool. All right, we'll
- 59:57Speaker 4: see you in a minute. More Woody Show is next.
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: Next. Next.
- 1:00:03Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 1:00:06Speaker 4: Delivery driver appreciation week, and the delivery has arrived, and
- 1:00:10Speaker 4: Jeff was downstairs to meet our delivery driver. His name
- 1:00:13Speaker 4: is Todd.
- 1:00:14Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:00:15Speaker 4: And it turns out he's familiar with The Woody Show.
- 1:00:17Speaker 3: Oh, great. So he invited him up, and... I don't
- 1:00:20Speaker 3: think you need a bribe.
- 1:00:21Speaker 7: I know. It makes it easier.
- 1:00:23Speaker 4: Is he here?
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: Bring him in.
- 1:00:24Speaker 4: Jeff's here. There he is.
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: Hey, guys. What's up? There's Todd. What's up, Todd? What's up, Todd?
- 1:00:29Speaker 4: Yeah, we lucked out on this one.
- 1:00:30Speaker 13: What's up, man?
- 1:00:31Speaker 4: All right, so there you go.
- 1:00:33Speaker 15: Oh, here.
- 1:00:33Speaker 4: I'll take that. Oh, that's Gina.
- 1:00:35Speaker 3: Hi, Todd.
- 1:00:35Speaker 4: How are you?
- 1:00:35Speaker 13: Hey.
- 1:00:36Speaker 10: I'm great.
- 1:00:36Speaker 13: How are you?
- 1:00:36Speaker 3: How are you doing?
- 1:00:37Speaker 4: We're doing good. All right, so, hey, I have a question.
- 1:00:40Speaker 4: So with the delivery driving and the apps and all
- 1:00:45Speaker 4: that kind of stuff, How does the process work? Because
- 1:00:48Speaker 4: a buddy of mine was telling me you could see before...
- 1:00:51Speaker 4: you accept the order, like how much you're going to
- 1:00:54Speaker 4: end up making on that order.
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: And that's true? So this delivery was a massive $ 8.
- 1:00:58Speaker 15: 25.
- 1:00:58Speaker 4: Oh, so your take on that was $ 8.
- 1:01:01Speaker 12: 25.
- 1:01:01Speaker 4: Now, because Manasetti didn't even put the tip in there yet. Oh, wow.
- 1:01:06Speaker 4: But I wasn't aware that you could do that after
- 1:01:08Speaker 4: the fact. I've been burned so many times by guys
- 1:01:10Speaker 4: screwing me over.
- 1:01:11Speaker 10: You can like pre-tip a little bit and then you
- 1:01:13Speaker 10: can add more at the end.
- 1:01:15Speaker 7: Oh, see, I didn't even know that. So it's like 1, 2, 5, 10.
- 1:01:17Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:01:18Speaker 4: So how long have you been doing this?
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: DoorDash, like for about Two weeks, really.
- 1:01:22Speaker 14: Oh, two weeks.
- 1:01:23Speaker 16: Yeah.
- 1:01:24Speaker 4: You just started it. And how's it going so far?
- 1:01:26Speaker 3: It's okay. It's okay.
- 1:01:28Speaker 4: I've never had this. What is DoorDash?
- 1:01:32Speaker 3: DoorDash.
- 1:01:33Speaker 4: No, it's Driver Appreciation Week here at The Woody Show.
- 1:01:36Speaker 4: So you're just kind of doing this in between. What
- 1:01:38Speaker 4: else do you do? What kind of work do you do?
- 1:01:40Speaker 3: I'm in the baseball industry. Baseball industry? What does that mean?
- 1:01:44Speaker 17: Mysterious.
- 1:01:45Speaker 3: I was a scout for 30 years. Really?
- 1:01:47Speaker 4: Wow. I was kidding.
- 1:01:49Speaker 3: That's cool. In between jobs right now.
- 1:01:51Speaker 7: Oh, this is fascinating.
- 1:01:52Speaker 3: How do you get into that? I played and then.
- 1:01:55Speaker 4: Did you ever play pro?
- 1:01:57Speaker 3: In the minor leagues.
- 1:01:58Speaker 4: Yeah? Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: Wow, that's cool.
- 1:02:00Speaker 4: For who? Who'd you play for?
- 1:02:02Speaker 3: The Rangers.
- 1:02:02Speaker 4: Oh, wow.
- 1:02:03Speaker 3: Wow, that's cool. That's cool. And then, so as a scout,
- 1:02:05Speaker 3: you just kind of.
- 1:02:06Speaker 4: tour you go over colleges like look at high schools
- 1:02:10Speaker 4: and stuff.
- 1:02:10Speaker 7: Would they know you were there and like get all
- 1:02:12Speaker 7: freaked out or um.
- 1:02:13Speaker 14: Would you go in secret sometimes i i i don't
- 1:02:16Speaker 14: advertise i don't wear i don't like billboards.
- 1:02:22Speaker 10: They definitely know who you are is there anybody that
- 1:02:24Speaker 10: uh you've scouted that we might know.
- 1:02:27Speaker 3: Oh plenty of guys that you would know not necessarily
- 1:02:29Speaker 3: guys that i signed but The guys I scouted. Who's
- 1:02:32Speaker 3: the biggest name? Well, you know Stanton with the Yankees.
- 1:02:35Speaker 3: He's a local guy from Sherman Oaks, Notre Dame High School. Wow.
- 1:02:39Speaker 4: Bryce Harper, Vegas. That's cool, man. And then, so, I
- 1:02:43Speaker 4: guess a scout. Like, who's paying you? The teams?
- 1:02:45Speaker 3: Yes.
- 1:02:46Speaker 4: So, you work for a specific team.
- 1:02:47Speaker 3: Correct.
- 1:02:48Speaker 4: And then you get to travel and, you know, so
- 1:02:51Speaker 4: they put you up and.
- 1:02:51Speaker 3: Yeah, you get all your expenses paid for. Wow, that's cool.
- 1:02:55Speaker 7: That's a good gig.
- 1:02:56Speaker 4: Interesting. What's the best hotel chain?
- 1:02:59Speaker 3: We stay at Marriott's.
- 1:03:00Speaker 4: Marriott's? Yeah. At that Bonvoy.
- 1:03:02Speaker 10: Bonvoy.
- 1:03:03Speaker 4: Bonvoy. At the Bonvoy. Yeah. Yeah.
- 1:03:07Speaker 13: All right.
- 1:03:07Speaker 3: We won't take it.
- 1:03:08Speaker 4: I know you're trying to work and get some stuff done.
- 1:03:10Speaker 4: We won't take a bunch of your time. So there
- 1:03:11Speaker 4: is additional tip coming from the actual order itself. I
- 1:03:14Speaker 4: appreciate that. But for Driver Appreciation Week, so whoever brings
- 1:03:18Speaker 4: the order, we invite them up.
- 1:03:19Speaker 3: You get to spin the wheel.
- 1:03:20Speaker 1: Okay.
- 1:03:20Speaker 4: And whatever it lands on, that's the gift card that
- 1:03:22Speaker 4: we got.
- 1:03:22Speaker 7: And spin it toward you.
- 1:03:24Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:24Speaker 4: You got to spin it, like, toward you.
- 1:03:26Speaker 9: There you go.
- 1:03:26Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:26Speaker 3: This wheel is very janky.
- 1:03:27Speaker 4: All right. Come on.
- 1:03:29Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:03:29Speaker 4: There's money.
- 1:03:31Speaker 3: Come on.
- 1:03:32Speaker 4: There's, you know, Target.
- 1:03:33Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:03:33Speaker 4: Gas card, Amazon, cash card. There is a DoorDash one
- 1:03:37Speaker 4: on there.
- 1:03:39Speaker 3: That's a good, healthy spin. That's a good spin. That's cool, man.
- 1:03:43Speaker 3: I'm going to scout. I think it'll be cool.
- 1:03:45Speaker 4: All right.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: Slowing down.
- 1:03:46Speaker 4: And it's going to be a.
- 1:03:48Speaker 11: $ 50 Target gift card.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:03:54Speaker 12: Wow.
- 1:03:54Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:03:54Speaker 7: Thank you guys so much.
- 1:03:58Speaker 4: And because I'm OCD and I'm very thorough, I did
- 1:04:00Speaker 4: take the little receipt they give you when you buy
- 1:04:02Speaker 4: a gift card. In case there's any trouble with it,
- 1:04:04Speaker 4: there's the little confirmation authorization on the front of it.
- 1:04:09Speaker 4: That is very professional. Thank you so much. There's Todd, everybody.
- 1:04:13Speaker 2: Todd.
- 1:04:13Speaker 8: Thank you guys.
- 1:04:14Speaker 1: Thank you.
- 1:04:15Speaker 3: Todd, thank you, man.
- 1:04:16Speaker 4: Nice to meet you.
- 1:04:16Speaker 3: All right, you too. All right, man.
- 1:04:17Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:04:18Speaker 3: All right, man.
- 1:04:19Speaker 4: That was fun.
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: There's Todd.
- 1:04:20Speaker 4: I do listen to your guys' shows.
- 1:04:22Speaker 1: Oh, thank you.
- 1:04:23Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:04:24Speaker 4: Oh, you actually listen now.
- 1:04:25Speaker 17: Yeah.
- 1:04:27Speaker 4: He scouted us. Yes.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: Bye, Todd.
- 1:04:29Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:04:30Speaker 3: That's how, yeah, because I want to say these questions, man.
- 1:04:32Speaker 4: My buddy just started, I told you, he started DoorDash.
- 1:04:34Speaker 3: Like if he's got half an hour to kill.
- 1:04:37Speaker 19: Yeah.
- 1:04:37Speaker 3: What's that? He's got like half an hour to kill
- 1:04:39Speaker 3: to make.
- 1:04:39Speaker 7: A couple deliveries. It's on your schedule, yeah.
- 1:04:41Speaker 3: Yeah, like he had some.
- 1:04:42Speaker 4: And it was between jobs for him. And kind of
- 1:04:45Speaker 4: like what Todd was saying, kind of between jobs. And
- 1:04:47Speaker 4: I never understood that, you know, that... Because you hear
- 1:04:51Speaker 4: the drivers bitching about... We brought this up. Drivers bitching about, oh, well,
- 1:04:55Speaker 4: I only made X number of dollars.
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: And I'm like, well, wait a minute.
- 1:04:57Speaker 4: So you can see beforehand? So at the very least...
- 1:05:01Speaker 4: This is what this order will pay. But then somebody
- 1:05:05Speaker 4: was saying, a couple people were saying who also do
- 1:05:07Speaker 4: the delivery driver stuff, that sometimes they combine them. Like
- 1:05:11Speaker 4: the service will combine them. That's sneaky. So for two
- 1:05:14Speaker 4: or three stops, you're going to make this amount of money.
- 1:05:16Speaker 4: But it's two or three stops. But it depends.
- 1:05:18Speaker 3: I would think that they would have to disclose that.
- 1:05:20Speaker 7: You'd think so.
- 1:05:21Speaker 6: But between Instacart or Grubhub or DoorDash, they all might
- 1:05:25Speaker 6: have little different tweaks. I don't know if they all
- 1:05:27Speaker 6: work the same way.
- 1:05:27Speaker 4: Dude, this chick in Philadelphia, this old woman. She got
- 1:05:31Speaker 4: herself arrested for disorderly conduct. She blocked an Uber Eats
- 1:05:35Speaker 4: delivery robot.
- 1:05:36Speaker 3: She doesn't like them.
- 1:05:37Speaker 4: Oh, they're so cute. She's very anti-robot. She says that
- 1:05:41Speaker 4: she's just doing her part against the robot uprising.
- 1:05:45Speaker 3: Oh, okay.
- 1:05:46Speaker 7: That'll do it.
- 1:05:46Speaker 4: And here she is talking about it.
- 1:05:48Speaker 13: I know that they're taking the jobs of human delivery workers.
- 1:05:53Speaker 13: And so I have been protesting them whenever I saw
- 1:05:56Speaker 13: them by standing in front of them and preventing them
- 1:06:00Speaker 13: from going forward. I think it's my first amendment right
- 1:06:03Speaker 13: to publicly demonstrate on a public sidewalk my protest against
- 1:06:09Speaker 13: delivery robots.
- 1:06:10Speaker 3: Yeah, and so she got arrested for disorderly conduct.
- 1:06:13Speaker 10: Wow.
- 1:06:14Speaker 4: Yeah, because she ignored multiple orders by the cops to move.
- 1:06:18Speaker 7: I appreciate her passion.
- 1:06:20Speaker 3: Yeah, but somebody somewhere is waiting on their Chinese food. Yeah.
- 1:06:24Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:06:24Speaker 6: But, oh, God, when they get stuck on the curb
- 1:06:27Speaker 6: and nobody helps them, it's kind of heartbreaking.
- 1:06:29Speaker 4: You know why? Because they did that on purpose.
- 1:06:33Speaker 2: Of course they did.
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: They designed them that way. They designed these, like, grocery carts,
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: robot-looking things.
- 1:06:39Speaker 7: And they can't get up.
- 1:06:40Speaker 4: Yeah, because everybody thinks it's WALL-E.
- 1:06:42Speaker 3: Yeah, exactly. And then it kills Gina when they ask somebody,
- 1:06:46Speaker 3: will you please push the walk button?
- 1:06:48Speaker 4: Oh, I can't.
- 1:06:49Speaker 7: Their little eyes blink.
- 1:06:50Speaker 3: Now you just kick it over.
- 1:06:51Speaker 4: Oh, I couldn't.
- 1:06:53Speaker 7: Steal their food.
- 1:06:54Speaker 4: No, no, no.
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: I'm not saying you should do that.
- 1:06:57Speaker 7: You're not advocating.
- 1:06:59Speaker 14: I don't know.
- 1:06:59Speaker 3: Again, man, right back to it, man. I give people credit.
- 1:07:02Speaker 4: Like when Sammy goes on about this really boring stuff
- 1:07:04Speaker 4: that she's into.
- 1:07:05Speaker 17: How exciting, I think. Drilling.
- 1:07:09Speaker 3: Or rummage sales, I guess.
- 1:07:10Speaker 4: Or people like this that have that much passion against
- 1:07:13Speaker 4: delivery robots. That's what I say.
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: Good for her. Maybe I need.
- 1:07:16Speaker 4: Something like that in my life. You're dead inside. I
- 1:07:18Speaker 4: just don't get how you get so invested to protest
- 1:07:23Speaker 4: delivery robots.
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: I don't know. What is that like? But once the
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: cops ask you to stop with this passion, maybe stop.
- 1:07:34Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:07:34Speaker 4: Is it worth getting arrested over it? It's one thing
- 1:07:37Speaker 4: to have an opinion.
- 1:07:38Speaker 3: I guess so.
- 1:07:39Speaker 4: Well, hey, you know what? Think of all the leaders
- 1:07:43Speaker 4: that we know that have been arrested for standing up
- 1:07:46Speaker 4: and doing the right thing. Maybe this old woman in Philly.
- 1:07:50Speaker 4: Years from now, we'll look at her and go, she's
- 1:07:52Speaker 4: the one.
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: There's going to be a statue.
- 1:07:54Speaker 4: She'll be like the Rosa Parks of delivery robots.
- 1:08:03Speaker 3: God, you see.
- 1:08:05Speaker 4: That guy, the U.S. Air Force guy.
- 1:08:07Speaker 3: Oh, my gosh.
- 1:08:08Speaker 4: He was rappelling down.
- 1:08:09Speaker 3: Oh, horrible. That was an instant click away. Like, can
- 1:08:13Speaker 3: I click away before I see the bad stuff?
- 1:08:14Speaker 4: Well, no, because I watched it before I even knew
- 1:08:16Speaker 4: what was going on. Because it was, like, it just
- 1:08:19Speaker 4: popped up.
- 1:08:19Speaker 7: You didn't know why it was in your feed.
- 1:08:21Speaker 4: Yeah, well, I was just scrolling. And then all of
- 1:08:23Speaker 4: a sudden, I'm, like, watching. I'm, like, well, that doesn't
- 1:08:24Speaker 4: look good. And then I'm watching. I'm watching.
- 1:08:27Speaker 3: I'm like, oh, damn. Because you think it's going to
- 1:08:29Speaker 3: be one of these fastballs at the very end. It's
- 1:08:30Speaker 3: just going to stop.
- 1:08:31Speaker 4: Yeah, I was waiting for something to happen.
- 1:08:34Speaker 3: And I'm like, huh.
- 1:08:36Speaker 4: Yeah, so the guy, it was like 174 feet or
- 1:08:39Speaker 4: something like that. And he just crashed onto the field.
- 1:08:43Speaker 4: And they gave medical treatment on the field for about
- 1:08:45Speaker 4: 10 minutes.
- 1:08:46Speaker 3: And then.
- 1:08:46Speaker 4: Called it got him the hospital he died but yeah
- 1:08:49Speaker 4: dude that sucks did you see that other one with
- 1:08:52Speaker 4: that priest yes oh my god okay so last week
- 1:08:57Speaker 4: let me check this out Put this out there. God,
- 1:09:01Speaker 4: if you're listening. I got to double check to see
- 1:09:03Speaker 4: if that one is real. No, I haven't had a chance.
- 1:09:05Speaker 4: Catholic priest in Ecuador. He was killed on Saturday. Huge
- 1:09:08Speaker 4: wooden crucifix. It's behind him. This is during mass. Felon
- 1:09:12Speaker 4: crushed him over the head while he's doing mass.
- 1:09:14Speaker 9: Yeah.
- 1:09:14Speaker 4: And so the service was being broadcast live. So a
- 1:09:17Speaker 4: ton of people saw it. I mean, the video is
- 1:09:18Speaker 4: all over social media. And people obviously, they rushed up
- 1:09:22Speaker 4: to try to help him, but I mean, he was toast.
- 1:09:23Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:09:23Speaker 3: Big, huge, heavy crucifix.
- 1:09:25Speaker 4: Massive.
- 1:09:25Speaker 3: Just falls and just takes him out.
- 1:09:27Speaker 4: You hear the parishioner screaming. Direct hit.
- 1:09:30Speaker 3: Any kind of symbolism in that, you think?
- 1:09:31Speaker 4: So, dude.
- 1:09:31Speaker 7: Well, you know that's been theorized.
- 1:09:34Speaker 4: Again, question for God.
- 1:09:35Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:09:35Speaker 4: I was mentioning this last week when the Pope was
- 1:09:39Speaker 4: going in for his surgery, lung cancer, right? Yeah. Of
- 1:09:42Speaker 4: all the people, right?
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: Like, your guy.
- 1:09:44Speaker 4: This is your guy.
- 1:09:45Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:09:45Speaker 4: This other guy's your guy. Like, you know, the Pope's
- 1:09:48Speaker 4: got to be sitting there going like, really, dude?
- 1:09:49Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:09:50Speaker 12: Yeah.
- 1:09:51Speaker 4: What?
- 1:09:51Speaker 3: I've been deputized.
- 1:09:52Speaker 4: Or like this guy. He's giving mass, you know, and
- 1:09:56Speaker 4: all of a sudden he's there and St. Peter's, you know, hey, dude.
- 1:09:59Speaker 3: What's up, bro?
- 1:10:00Speaker 7: Why am I here?
- 1:10:01Speaker 3: And he's going, wait, what happened?
- 1:10:02Speaker 4: Oh, yeah, the crucifix fell on you.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: Why?
- 1:10:06Speaker 4: What'd I do?
- 1:10:06Speaker 3: What? Right. Have you heard of Kim Jong-un?
- 1:10:10Speaker 10: Yeah.
- 1:10:11Speaker 3: Make something fall on him. Like, dude, that sucks.
- 1:10:13Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:10:14Speaker 4: Yeah, that was awful.
- 1:10:15Speaker 10: Yeah, we have a new segment called, God, what's up
- 1:10:17Speaker 10: with that?
- 1:10:17Speaker 3: Yeah, hey, God.
- 1:10:19Speaker 1: Yeah, hey, God.
- 1:10:20Speaker 3: What's he doing?
- 1:10:20Speaker 5: I know a guy who knows Jesus who does a
- 1:10:22Speaker 5: radio show. We could ask Jesus about these.
- 1:10:24Speaker 4: Sort of things. The show's called The Jesus Christ Show,
- 1:10:27Speaker 4: isn't it?
- 1:10:27Speaker 3: Yeah, I know a guy who produces that show. He
- 1:10:28Speaker 3: could help us out.
- 1:10:30Speaker 5: But this used to be, as you recall this, you
- 1:10:32Speaker 5: used to have to go to super gross special websites
- 1:10:34Speaker 5: to find this stuff.
- 1:10:35Speaker 4: Now it's just like, oh, there's that guy. Yeah, it's
- 1:10:39Speaker 4: where what you can see on... Instagram throws me off
- 1:10:42Speaker 4: from time to time. Because I thought Instagram was pretty,
- 1:10:45Speaker 4: from what I understand, from Menace when he describes the
- 1:10:48Speaker 4: rules to me. I thought it was pretty scrubbed up.
- 1:10:50Speaker 7: Cleaned up. Well, it'll put like sensitive content, click if
- 1:10:53Speaker 7: you want to see it.
- 1:10:54Speaker 4: Yeah, but then there's other things like I've seen boobs.
- 1:10:58Speaker 3: Nice.
- 1:10:59Speaker 1: On Instagram?
- 1:11:00Speaker 14: Yeah.
- 1:11:00Speaker 4: Yeah, it's usually like new accounts though. But they figured
- 1:11:04Speaker 4: out a way to like, you know, get that on there.
- 1:11:06Speaker 4: Or they'll do something where it looks almost like a
- 1:11:10Speaker 4: flash of beeve.
- 1:11:12Speaker 3: You know what I mean? And you're like, wait, what?
- 1:11:14Speaker 3: And so you're watching it.
- 1:11:15Speaker 4: So clearly it's like that, whether it is or not,
- 1:11:19Speaker 4: that's what it's intended to make you believe. Right.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: That you've just seen some chick's lips, you know?
- 1:11:25Speaker 4: Somehow those don't come up on my feed. Huh? Somehow
- 1:11:27Speaker 4: those don't come up on my feed. No, it's like
- 1:11:29Speaker 4: this really, it's, again, it's just, I'm sure. click bait
- 1:11:33Speaker 4: for the, you know, like, yeah, it's just, it's just
- 1:11:35Speaker 4: for like the, uh, the intention of it, I guess.
- 1:11:37Speaker 4: Super perps.
- 1:11:38Speaker 3: But then for the ones you're talking about, the guy,
- 1:11:40Speaker 3: the airman that fell from the stadium.
- 1:11:42Speaker 4: Well, that was just news.
- 1:11:43Speaker 3: That was all over the place. That was just news.
- 1:11:44Speaker 3: But then if you see it and then you're kind
- 1:11:46Speaker 3: of shocked by it. And then if you try to
- 1:11:47Speaker 3: find it again, then all the news sites have kind of,
- 1:11:50Speaker 3: they pause it right before he hits the ground or
- 1:11:52Speaker 3: something like that. They kind of alter it, you know?
- 1:11:54Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: No, this one, like right before he hit, the blur
- 1:11:57Speaker 4: thing came up.
- 1:11:58Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:11:59Speaker 3: And the same thing with the priest.
- 1:12:01Speaker 7: I'm looking at the priest one right now. There's no blur.
- 1:12:03Speaker 4: Well, it depends on where you're at.
- 1:12:04Speaker 7: Horrific on YouTube.
- 1:12:05Speaker 3: Some of them.
- 1:12:05Speaker 4: Hey, speaking of a game, time for a Woody Show
- 1:12:07Speaker 4: original trademark copyright game. Was it drugs? Oh.
- 1:12:11Speaker 3: All right. Do you want to play?
- 1:12:12Speaker 4: Yes. All right. So this time we take a look
- 1:12:14Speaker 4: at the people who died at this year's Burning Man.
- 1:12:18Speaker 4: Because the results are in. The results are in. The question,
- 1:12:22Speaker 4: I got three people here. I'll tell you a little
- 1:12:24Speaker 4: bit about them. You tell me, was it drugs? So
- 1:12:28Speaker 4: Burning Man, how would you explain it if people aren't
- 1:12:30Speaker 4: familiar with it?
- 1:12:31Speaker 5: It is a giant outdoor desert bowl, dust bowl, where
- 1:12:35Speaker 5: everybody goes to do drugs and dance and pretend they're
- 1:12:38Speaker 5: doing something quote-unquote spiritual.
- 1:12:39Speaker 4: Yeah, there's like orgies and stuff that go on there.
- 1:12:42Speaker 3: There's orgies. There's all kinds of things that I have
- 1:12:44Speaker 3: personally witnessed.
- 1:12:45Speaker 10: It's supposed to be like super off the grid.
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: Yes, yeah. Leave no trace. Bring all your own crap.
- 1:12:51Speaker 3: So again, was it drugs? Number one.
- 1:12:54Speaker 4: First death involved a 51-year-old Armando Ramirez of Truckee, California,
- 1:12:59Speaker 4: who experienced chest pain at the festival and died. Was
- 1:13:01Speaker 4: it drugs?
- 1:13:03Speaker 3: Let me tell you this.
- 1:13:03Speaker 4: This year, just FYI, it was very moderate weather, so
- 1:13:06Speaker 4: no heat stroke, nothing like that.
- 1:13:08Speaker 11: Okay.
- 1:13:08Speaker 3: All right. I mean, that does help. I'm going to,
- 1:13:12Speaker 3: for him, I'm going to say yes.
- 1:13:14Speaker 4: Yes?
- 1:13:14Speaker 7: I'm going to say no.
- 1:13:15Speaker 4: I'm going to say no.
- 1:13:16Speaker 3: National cause.
- 1:13:16Speaker 13: No.
- 1:13:17Speaker 3: All right. Yes, it was drugs.
- 1:13:20Speaker 4: The medical examiner determined that methamphetamine and MDMA toxicity caused
- 1:13:24Speaker 4: his death.
- 1:13:25Speaker 7: Oh, don't combine those?
- 1:13:26Speaker 9: Okay.
- 1:13:26Speaker 3: He probably didn't do the meth intentionally. He probably got
- 1:13:28Speaker 3: mixed in with it. Number two.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: Was it drugs? The second attendee, 62-year-old Tashambi Sampson of
- 1:13:36Speaker 4: Santa Monica. All old heads, man. He collapsed and they
- 1:13:40Speaker 4: tried to revive him but couldn't. Was it drugs?
- 1:13:43Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:13:43Speaker 3: No, let's go yes.
- 1:13:45Speaker 4: No.
- 1:13:45Speaker 18: Yes.
- 1:13:46Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:13:46Speaker 4: And older people, because you have to have a lot
- 1:13:48Speaker 4: of money to have a proper Burning Man set up.
- 1:13:50Speaker 3: A lot of rich people there.
- 1:13:52Speaker 4: No. He died from hypertensive cardiovascular disease. His death was
- 1:13:57Speaker 4: ruled natural.
- 1:13:59Speaker 3: Just heart attack. All right. Was it drugs? He died
- 1:14:02Speaker 3: doing what he loved.
- 1:14:03Speaker 4: The third death was on September 5th. 60-year-old guy, Craig
- 1:14:06Speaker 4: Mann of Yuma, Arizona, was discovered unresponsive inside his recreational
- 1:14:11Speaker 4: vehicle at the festival. Was it drugs?
- 1:14:13Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:14:13Speaker 19: Was it drugs?
- 1:14:14Speaker 7: In his vehicle. He was trying to.
- 1:14:16Speaker 4: In a recreational vehicle.
- 1:14:17Speaker 7: He was pre-gaming.
- 1:14:18Speaker 3: Was it drugs? I'll say, yeah. Drugs.
- 1:14:22Speaker 15: Yes.
- 1:14:22Speaker 3: I'm going to say no. It was indeed drugs.
- 1:14:25Speaker 4: Oh, damn. The medical examiner determined his death was caused
- 1:14:28Speaker 4: by the combined toxic effects of cocaine and methamphetamine with
- 1:14:33Speaker 4: underlying hypertensive cardiovascular disease.
- 1:14:36Speaker 13: Oh, you can't do that.
- 1:14:37Speaker 3: So he had it all going on.
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: But that's the thing is, what all three of those
- 1:14:39Speaker 5: guys have in common, they're over 55. And doing, well,
- 1:14:43Speaker 5: one guy supposedly not doing drugs.
- 1:14:45Speaker 3: Your body just can't.
- 1:14:46Speaker 4: Well, they didn't find anything in his results. But you're
- 1:14:49Speaker 4: over 50. You're out in this desert. You can't be
- 1:14:50Speaker 4: doing that.
- 1:14:51Speaker 3: Right, right. And you're hypertensive. Right, right. This isn't the
- 1:14:53Speaker 3: lifestyle for you. It's the perfect storm. So that's our
- 1:14:56Speaker 3: Woody Show original trademark copy of our game, Was It Drugs?
- 1:14:58Speaker 4: It's funny.
- 1:14:59Speaker 3: When I was at Burning Man, I scrawled on the
- 1:15:02Speaker 3: inside of one of the port-a-potties in bright red ink
- 1:15:05Speaker 3: a sign that said, where's the acid? Where's the DMT?
- 1:15:08Speaker 3: Where's the K? Where's the K? Burning Man forgot how
- 1:15:10Speaker 3: to party.
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 1:15:12Speaker 3: These guys didn't.
- 1:15:13Speaker 4: It's so corporate, dude.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: Yeah, they figured it out. Well, it's all clean living garbage,
- 1:15:17Speaker 3: you know?
- 1:15:17Speaker 4: I ain't your.
- 1:15:18Speaker 3: Pal, dickface. Dickface.
- 1:15:20Speaker 4: Dickface.
- 1:15:22Speaker 10: I ain't your pal, dickface.
- 1:15:24Speaker 1: Dickface.
- 1:15:26Speaker 13: Dickface.
- 1:15:28Speaker 3: The Woody Show.
- 1:15:29Speaker 4: I think that's Jeff G's favorite one.
- 1:15:32Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:15:32Speaker 7: It's a good one.
- 1:15:33Speaker 4: Every time that one comes on, Jeff kind of lights up.
- 1:15:35Speaker 7: He dances.
- 1:15:36Speaker 3: I may dance to it a little bit, yeah. Jeff,
- 1:15:38Speaker 3: while we got you, cheers and jeers.
- 1:15:41Speaker 14: Oh, my cheers is to my son for finally, all caps,
- 1:15:45Speaker 14: having a nice girlfriend.
- 1:15:47Speaker 4: Oh. What do you mean finally? Finally.
- 1:15:51Speaker 14: He's dated a lot of toxicas, and it's finally nice
- 1:15:54Speaker 14: to have a nice girlfriend. We went to dinner with them,
- 1:15:58Speaker 14: and she is just so nice. She encourages them. They're
- 1:16:01Speaker 14: so cute together.
- 1:16:01Speaker 4: Aw.
- 1:16:02Speaker 14: Yeah, I mean, he may be playing overseas like my
- 1:16:04Speaker 14: other son, and she's like, go live your dreams.
- 1:16:08Speaker 4: He's a high school senior, right?
- 1:16:09Speaker 14: Yeah, so it's just nice to see him being propped
- 1:16:13Speaker 14: up by his girl.
- 1:16:14Speaker 3: Instead of kind of torn down.
- 1:16:15Speaker 7: Dragged down.
- 1:16:16Speaker 14: Yeah, so it's really nice, and they're so happy together,
- 1:16:18Speaker 14: and she's super smart and just super sweet.
- 1:16:21Speaker 4: So is this new?
- 1:16:22Speaker 3: No, they've been going out for a little bit. Oh,
- 1:16:24Speaker 3: they have? Okay.
- 1:16:25Speaker 4: Yeah, because I thought he was with the toxic chick.
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: Not anymore. Okay. That was fast. Yeah. No, no, that
- 1:16:34Speaker 3: was very long.
- 1:16:34Speaker 8: Oh, okay.
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: Very long. Yeah, and drawn out. So you know how
- 1:16:37Speaker 3: it is. When you're a parent, you just want your
- 1:16:38Speaker 3: kids to be happy.
- 1:16:39Speaker 15: Sure.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: And when you see someone dragging them down, it kind
- 1:16:41Speaker 3: of sucks.
- 1:16:42Speaker 7: And they're not going to listen to you.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: No.
- 1:16:43Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:16:44Speaker 14: No, no, no.
- 1:16:44Speaker 4: As a boy at that age, man, it's tough. It's
- 1:16:48Speaker 4: like getting a dog off a meat truck. They just
- 1:16:53Speaker 4: don't see reason. They can't hear you. It's just, you know,
- 1:16:56Speaker 4: they're hypnotized.
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: Blinders are on. They just have to figure it out
- 1:16:59Speaker 3: on their own. And he did, and I'm really happy
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: for him.
- 1:17:01Speaker 14: My jeers are to my neighbors for having like 15
- 1:17:04Speaker 14: people living at their house, man. Like they have three
- 1:17:07Speaker 14: kids and the kids all stay there and all of
- 1:17:10Speaker 14: their boyfriends, girlfriends, husbands or whatever stay there as well.
- 1:17:13Speaker 14: In addition to that, there's a bunch of random people.
- 1:17:16Speaker 14: And what the problem is, is that their cars are
- 1:17:18Speaker 14: always parked in front of my freaking house.
- 1:17:20Speaker 3: Classic.
- 1:17:20Speaker 14: So I'm just like, dude, even when I pull up
- 1:17:23Speaker 14: from work, whatever, there's always a car in front of
- 1:17:25Speaker 14: my house.
- 1:17:26Speaker 3: So I'm parking 10 houses down and.
- 1:17:28Speaker 4: Having to hike.
- 1:17:29Speaker 7: Oh, hell no.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: So I'm just like, dude.
- 1:17:30Speaker 7: You got to put up traffic cones.
- 1:17:31Speaker 4: That was the problem with the house on my street
- 1:17:33Speaker 4: where there was a bunch of people in and out
- 1:17:34Speaker 4: of there all the time, different people living there all
- 1:17:36Speaker 4: the time.
- 1:17:37Speaker 3: Revolving door. Revolving door.
- 1:17:38Speaker 4: But like they kept parking in front of the mailboxes
- 1:17:42Speaker 4: and the mail delivery, the mailman would like stop delivering.
- 1:17:46Speaker 4: He's like, I keep putting these notices like do not
- 1:17:48Speaker 4: park in front of the mailboxes during this time.
- 1:17:52Speaker 3: And they stopped.
- 1:17:52Speaker 4: We had to go down to the post office for
- 1:17:54Speaker 4: a while.
- 1:17:54Speaker 3: To pick up the mail. Oh, I would be fuming.
- 1:17:57Speaker 4: How's that going? Because this person, they were having people
- 1:17:58Speaker 4: live in the garage, right?
- 1:18:00Speaker 3: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18:00Speaker 4: They had some illegal garage apartments going on.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: Right, like some mega dorms or whatever.
- 1:18:05Speaker 4: Well, no, so, yeah, when the garage door would go up,
- 1:18:07Speaker 4: you would see they built, like, you know, there's drywall
- 1:18:10Speaker 4: up in there.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: Bunk beds, right?
- 1:18:11Speaker 4: Which is illegal. That's a fire hazard. But they also had,
- 1:18:14Speaker 4: hanging out from, you know, the drywall, they had, like,
- 1:18:17Speaker 4: installed a window air unit, like, air conditioner unit, like,
- 1:18:21Speaker 4: that was just running inside the garage.
- 1:18:23Speaker 7: So there was nothing accidental about this. This seemed very planned.
- 1:18:26Speaker 4: No, I think it was a bunch of, like, they
- 1:18:27Speaker 4: were taking in, like, exchange students and things like that. Okay.
- 1:18:30Speaker 4: Different people all the time.
- 1:18:31Speaker 7: But you come all the way to this country, you're
- 1:18:33Speaker 7: put in the garage.
- 1:18:34Speaker 4: But I think they're moving.
- 1:18:35Speaker 7: Oh, that's good.
- 1:18:36Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:18:37Speaker 10: All that stuff I don't care about, but the mailbox thing,
- 1:18:40Speaker 10: that's annoying.
- 1:18:40Speaker 1: Oh, yeah.
- 1:18:41Speaker 4: Yeah, just taken up because they have like five cars
- 1:18:44Speaker 4: in the driveway.
- 1:18:44Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:18:45Speaker 4: And then parked all along the street.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: And your HOA did nothing about the mailbox no no pointless.
- 1:18:50Speaker 4: Yep someone says F my neighbors too doing the same
- 1:18:53Speaker 4: ish this weekend they got our street blocked off and
- 1:18:56Speaker 4: A helicopter shining a light on the street.
- 1:18:59Speaker 3: Oh, no.
- 1:19:00Speaker 7: Midnight Sun.
- 1:19:01Speaker 4: Because they would say, well, it's not your street. You
- 1:19:04Speaker 4: don't own the street. If we have 15 cars, that's
- 1:19:07Speaker 4: our business. Well, I mean, I guess partially true. I mean,
- 1:19:11Speaker 4: if it's street parking and it's public parking. It is.
- 1:19:13Speaker 3: I mean, technically true. It's still annoying. But Jeff, do
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: you have a garage?
- 1:19:17Speaker 14: I do, but it has all kinds of stuff in it.
- 1:19:22Speaker 14: It's like, it's an older house that used to have
- 1:19:28Speaker 14: one of those old, like one car, old timey garages.
- 1:19:31Speaker 18: Right.
- 1:19:31Speaker 14: So that's now just kind of like a pass through
- 1:19:33Speaker 14: and there's a bigger one that was built and it
- 1:19:36Speaker 14: really kind of was never meant to be a garage.
- 1:19:38Speaker 14: It was more like a workshop and stuff. I actually
- 1:19:40Speaker 14: built an office on it as well. So, The other part,
- 1:19:42Speaker 14: my kids work out in it and stuff. We have
- 1:19:44Speaker 14: all our bicycles and tools and crap in it. But
- 1:19:46Speaker 14: my neighbors are really nice. It's just hella inconvenient some days.
- 1:19:51Speaker 3: I guess you could probably rearrange this garage situation. Like
- 1:19:55Speaker 3: maybe put a shed or something for all your storage stuff.
- 1:19:57Speaker 4: I wish.
- 1:19:58Speaker 3: And then put something called a car in something called
- 1:20:02Speaker 3: a garage.
- 1:20:02Speaker 4: They got some dope ass sheds at Home Depot.
- 1:20:05Speaker 3: None of our cars would fit through that pass through
- 1:20:07Speaker 3: anymore though.
- 1:20:08Speaker 4: That is a hill that Greg dies on.
- 1:20:09Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:20:10Speaker 7: That's what garages are for. We're all disgusting trash.
- 1:20:12Speaker 4: Greg is disgusted by anybody who stores anything in their garage. No,
- 1:20:16Speaker 4: you can store stuff, but you can do both.
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:20:20Speaker 3: Woody is very trashy in that regard. Nothing, no cars
- 1:20:24Speaker 3: in the garage.
- 1:20:25Speaker 4: I'll take the trashy L. That's all I'm going to do,
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: because there's no way that.
- 1:20:28Speaker 3: They're going to fit in there.
- 1:20:29Speaker 4: I'll just live in filth, Greg.
- 1:20:29Speaker 3: There's nothing you can do about it. I'll just park
- 1:20:33Speaker 3: in the driveway.
- 1:20:34Speaker 4: All this clutter.
- 1:20:35Speaker 3: Seabass, cheers and jeers.
- 1:20:36Speaker 4: Well, cheers to Lowe's, because they have fully and completely
- 1:20:41Speaker 4: tapped into the, we're going to get women to buy
- 1:20:45Speaker 4: dumb stuff for no reason thing.
- 1:20:47Speaker 3: Market.
- 1:20:47Speaker 5: We recall that they have now instead of their blue
- 1:20:49Speaker 5: five gallon buckets, they went to pink. And Sammy was
- 1:20:52Speaker 5: very happy for that.
- 1:20:52Speaker 3: All right. The little mini buckets.
- 1:20:54Speaker 4: Yeah, they're cute.
- 1:20:55Speaker 3: Well, they have full size pink ones as well. Yes.
- 1:20:57Speaker 4: Yes. Now they have mini buckets that are glittery. They
- 1:21:01Speaker 4: have mini trash cans that are just mini little black
- 1:21:04Speaker 4: trash cans. They have mini storage totes that do have
- 1:21:07Speaker 4: little pink lids as well as the traditional yellow lid. Wait, what?
- 1:21:10Speaker 3: And so, yeah, they're just fully going to, hey, women,
- 1:21:13Speaker 3: you're stupid. You'll buy anything that's pink. We know you'll
- 1:21:14Speaker 3: buy this.
- 1:21:15Speaker 4: If it's small and pink, you'll buy it. Again, affordability
- 1:21:18Speaker 4: crisis my ass if we've got a full goddamn thing of...
- 1:21:21Speaker 4: Are you just noticing this? They've had this for a while.
- 1:21:23Speaker 17: Yeah, they've had it for a while. It's not just like, oh,
- 1:21:25Speaker 17: you're stupid, you'll buy pink stuff.
- 1:21:28Speaker 18: When you see something like this, now you can use
- 1:21:30Speaker 18: it for a party, like a kid's party.
- 1:21:32Speaker 17: You have this little thing. If they're going to be
- 1:21:33Speaker 17: painting or whatever, it's a girl's birthday. It's really cute.
- 1:21:36Speaker 17: These are cute little things to have.
- 1:21:38Speaker 5: Again, I said this three years ago. When do you
- 1:21:40Speaker 5: run out of space for cute stuff?
- 1:21:42Speaker 4: Is it that Lowe's and Home Depot, they've picked sides, right?
- 1:21:45Speaker 4: I'm imagining that the contractors are more shopping. The contractors, dudes,
- 1:21:50Speaker 4: blue-collar guys. They're going to Home Depot.
- 1:21:53Speaker 13: Yes.
- 1:21:53Speaker 4: Because they're not going to Lowe's to get pink buckets.
- 1:21:55Speaker 4: They're just not. Or glitter buckets.
- 1:21:56Speaker 18: But I will say that Lowe's has for a long
- 1:21:59Speaker 18: time had all the better like fixtures, ceiling fans, all
- 1:22:03Speaker 18: that kind of stuff. They have the cuter, better options
- 1:22:06Speaker 18: they always have. So girls will go there more when
- 1:22:08Speaker 18: it comes to the like sort of decorating option that's
- 1:22:11Speaker 18: still hardware or things that you need.
- 1:22:13Speaker 17: They've always been better over Home Depot with that.
- 1:22:15Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:22:15Speaker 4: They just don't have a lot.
- 1:22:16Speaker 17: Doorknobs, all that kind of stuff.
- 1:22:17Speaker 4: But if you want a guy who can lay a
- 1:22:18Speaker 4: good pipe, she's going to find that.
- 1:22:20Speaker 3: Over at Home Depot because that's where they're going.
- 1:22:22Speaker 5: I will say the difference between men and women was
- 1:22:24Speaker 5: on display in Lowe's as well because right next to
- 1:22:27Speaker 5: the glitter, the mini glitter bucket was the Mr. Beast
- 1:22:30Speaker 5: lab kit, which is like little cardboard things like menace.
- 1:22:33Speaker 3: This is like.
- 1:22:34Speaker 5: Advanced like mini adult teen Legos, essentially. We can build
- 1:22:37Speaker 5: little rocket ships.
- 1:22:39Speaker 4: It's cool. You build functional things with gears.
- 1:22:41Speaker 10: I'm a Lowe's goer, so I've been seeing all this.
- 1:22:43Speaker 17: This is all kid stuff. Yeah, they have those cute
- 1:22:45Speaker 17: little race cars.
- 1:22:47Speaker 4: Women's deodorant. All that, yeah.
- 1:22:49Speaker 3: It's the most obvious thing of like what's for boys
- 1:22:52Speaker 3: and what's for girls.
- 1:22:53Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:22:53Speaker 4: Yeah. I mean, like Lowe's definitely they have shifted their
- 1:22:56Speaker 4: focus more to be, I guess, for, you know, the
- 1:23:00Speaker 4: the the aesthetic crowd. The I want to buy every
- 1:23:02Speaker 4: new bag of Trader Joe's.
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: The presentation of it is just nicer, too.
- 1:23:07Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: Home Depot sections nicer is again is for the labor guy.
- 1:23:11Speaker 6: But I love the way Depot smells. Does Lowe's smell
- 1:23:14Speaker 6: like that?
- 1:23:14Speaker 4: Like wood?
- 1:23:15Speaker 3: It's slightly different.
- 1:23:16Speaker 10: It has less lumber than Home Depot.
- 1:23:18Speaker 7: OK. I don't know if I've ever been in.
- 1:23:21Speaker 3: Anyway, so good for you, Lowe's.
- 1:23:22Speaker 4: This is a cheers.
- 1:23:23Speaker 3: You figured out the female.
- 1:23:24Speaker 4: I will say, for me, I like Lowe's for they
- 1:23:26Speaker 4: have a ton of stuff, like electric, like the Ego
- 1:23:29Speaker 4: line of trimmers and power washers, all the battery-powered stuff.
- 1:23:33Speaker 3: And they have a lot more fruit trees than Home
- 1:23:36Speaker 3: Depot does. Fruit trees.
- 1:23:40Speaker 4: Fruit trees.
- 1:23:40Speaker 3: That's how they do a lot of planting. All right.
- 1:23:43Speaker 4: Cheers to this guy I found at the mall.
- 1:23:45Speaker 3: Now, I was at the mall. That's a happy place.
- 1:23:47Speaker 8: Yep.
- 1:23:48Speaker 5: And there was this little anime mini and micro Comic-Con
- 1:23:51Speaker 5: convention going on.
- 1:23:52Speaker 10: Oh, in the middle of the mall?
- 1:23:53Speaker 3: In the middle of the mall.
- 1:23:53Speaker 18: Yeah.
- 1:23:54Speaker 3: Which I think is a smart place to do that.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: But it was kid stuff. It was little, little.
- 1:23:57Speaker 4: Until I saw this dude, I walked around the corner,
- 1:23:59Speaker 4: and he had probably 500 different images of... Girls with
- 1:24:03Speaker 4: their cans out.
- 1:24:04Speaker 1: What?
- 1:24:04Speaker 4: Anime girls. Yeah. I mean, floor to ceiling.
- 1:24:09Speaker 1: Nice.
- 1:24:09Speaker 3: Just different types of girls with their cans out.
- 1:24:12Speaker 7: What were these to sell? Like paintings? Yeah.
- 1:24:15Speaker 3: Prints, t-shirts, keychains.
- 1:24:17Speaker 4: They're not naked. This guy appeals to more of the
- 1:24:19Speaker 4: dudes who go to Lowe's.
- 1:24:20Speaker 15: Right.
- 1:24:21Speaker 4: So the point I might, and I, we may have
- 1:24:23Speaker 4: some audio from, we can play from him later, but
- 1:24:25Speaker 4: it was like, there's kids everywhere.
- 1:24:27Speaker 3: And like, I'm not Mr.
- 1:24:28Speaker 4: Fuddy Duddy, but it's, it's 500 women with their cans.
- 1:24:32Speaker 5: Out and like almost no bottoms. And it's, it's, and
- 1:24:35Speaker 5: he was like, Oh, what if, what if, what if
- 1:24:37Speaker 5: princess peach was a, not to use the slang Shane
- 1:24:40Speaker 5: Gillis word, a total whore. And, and there's like three-year-olds
- 1:24:45Speaker 5: walking around.
- 1:24:45Speaker 3: It's like, Come on, guys.
- 1:24:47Speaker 4: They're not naked.
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: These are such hot cartoons. Yeah, they're not. That side
- 1:24:51Speaker 3: of stuff mega appealed to me when I.
- 1:24:52Speaker 4: Was 11 years old. Okay, then you're telling me that
- 1:24:54Speaker 4: Victoria's Secret.
- 1:24:54Speaker 7: Can't be in the mall.
- 1:24:56Speaker 3: Victoria's Secret is nothing compared to this.
- 1:24:58Speaker 4: Look at these.
- 1:24:59Speaker 3: I'm showing the guys in the room. Yeah.
- 1:25:00Speaker 4: They're buxom.
- 1:25:03Speaker 3: Yeah, times a thousand.
- 1:25:05Speaker 4: I think it's weird that there are adult men who... Exactly.
- 1:25:08Speaker 7: Gotta have it.
- 1:25:08Speaker 4: And you can see the guy.
- 1:25:10Speaker 3: It's weird. It's so weird.
- 1:25:11Speaker 4: It's called hentai.
- 1:25:12Speaker 5: Right, but what are you doing in the mall next
- 1:25:14Speaker 5: to the... Down the hall is the ride with the
- 1:25:17Speaker 5: stupid goofy thing where you're up in... I mean, you
- 1:25:19Speaker 5: think that's offensive. Do you ever see the sprayed t-shirt guys?
- 1:25:23Speaker 4: Like the... Oh, the airbrushed t-shirt dudes.
- 1:25:25Speaker 3: I don't go to those malls, man.
- 1:25:26Speaker 4: No, but no. They're with that guy, dude. The princess t-shirts.
- 1:25:31Speaker 10: Dude, they have way more offensive stuff than that.
- 1:25:33Speaker 5: I see that in downtown Vegas. You see that kind
- 1:25:37Speaker 5: of crap, which we expected. Not in the middle of
- 1:25:39Speaker 5: the mall with, again, little kids. Because next to this
- 1:25:41Speaker 5: was the Super Mario Kart tournament.
- 1:25:44Speaker 10: Mm-hmm.
- 1:25:45Speaker 7: Well, and because the visual, it's colorful. The pictures are round.
- 1:25:48Speaker 3: Those cars are maybe not legal.
- 1:25:51Speaker 7: Right.
- 1:25:52Speaker 3: I thought of Seabass.
- 1:25:53Speaker 4: I saw a guy getting out of a car, grown
- 1:25:55Speaker 4: man by himself, Pokemon license plate frame. We've infantilized ourselves.
- 1:26:01Speaker 4: I thought of Seabass immediately. What would Seabass say?
- 1:26:04Speaker 3: This is part of why the birth rates in the
- 1:26:06Speaker 3: toilet is because everyone's a damn 11-year-old.
- 1:26:08Speaker 4: Well, or keep your eyes on this thing.
- 1:26:10Speaker 10: It might, you know.
- 1:26:11Speaker 3: That's why, because they're whacking it to anime porn. Right.
- 1:26:15Speaker 3: Instead of going out and finding a wife.
- 1:26:17Speaker 4: The Woody Show.
- 1:26:19Speaker 7: I like that very much.
- 1:26:20Speaker 3: All right, welcome back, everybody.
- 1:26:24Speaker 4: All right, so what do you think of this? This
- 1:26:29Speaker 4: wedding venue in Texas. They're getting torched. They refuse to
- 1:26:34Speaker 4: refund a family where the 25-year-old groom died seven months
- 1:26:40Speaker 4: before the wedding.
- 1:26:41Speaker 1: What?
- 1:26:42Speaker 4: So the couple had paid, I think it was like
- 1:26:44Speaker 4: a $ 16, 000 deposit.
- 1:26:46Speaker 3: Just for the venue?
- 1:26:47Speaker 4: Yeah. Good God. The venue says their contract has no
- 1:26:52Speaker 4: death clause, so no refund.
- 1:26:54Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:26:54Speaker 4: Dude, come on. So they came up with an offer.
- 1:26:57Speaker 2: Oh.
- 1:26:58Speaker 3: Their offer was to throw a different kind of party there. Oh, okay.
- 1:27:02Speaker 4: Or take credit toward a future wedding.
- 1:27:05Speaker 7: Yeah, if she finds another soulmate.
- 1:27:07Speaker 17: Yeah, you want to have a funeral here?
- 1:27:08Speaker 7: We can do that.
- 1:27:09Speaker 3: Right, have a celebration of life.
- 1:27:11Speaker 4: Under the circumstances, don't you think?
- 1:27:13Speaker 7: You don't want that kind of press.
- 1:27:15Speaker 3: Yeah, you don't want that rep, too.
- 1:27:16Speaker 4: Oh, well, they've got it. You're going to lose other business.
- 1:27:19Speaker 4: It's not worth it.
- 1:27:20Speaker 3: Not all publicity is good. The family sued.
- 1:27:25Speaker 4: The venue... counter sued.
- 1:27:27Speaker 7: Oh my god they want to go.
- 1:27:29Speaker 4: For the remaining balance what so like the family wants
- 1:27:33Speaker 4: their 16 000 back which was i guess the deposit
- 1:27:36Speaker 4: right yeah so they're suing to get that back the
- 1:27:39Speaker 4: venue's like no we don't have a death clause right
- 1:27:42Speaker 4: the venue's like fine we're going to counter sue you
- 1:27:45Speaker 4: for the balance of what you owe so good luck
- 1:27:47Speaker 4: with that the 16 000 was just the deposit They
- 1:27:52Speaker 4: want the balance.
- 1:27:53Speaker 3: Isn't that the point of the deposit?
- 1:27:54Speaker 7: They're going to hell.
- 1:27:55Speaker 3: Right. That's your security net.
- 1:27:57Speaker 4: So the judge will decide what happens now. But dude, yeah.
- 1:28:02Speaker 3: They're going to so go out of business. Not cool, dude.
- 1:28:05Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:28:05Speaker 4: Not cool.
- 1:28:06Speaker 10: I'm not the person that you want to do this
- 1:28:07Speaker 10: to because I'll just be outside in the front with
- 1:28:10Speaker 10: a big ass sign saying they owe.
- 1:28:11Speaker 3: Me $ 16, 000. Right.
- 1:28:11Speaker 5: And as someone who has won roughly $ 16, 000 in a lawsuit.
- 1:28:15Speaker 3: That's right.
- 1:28:17Speaker 5: And by the way, let me point this out. Read
- 1:28:19Speaker 5: people who blast people online. This is an obvious case
- 1:28:21Speaker 5: where this venue I think would deserve to be blasted
- 1:28:23Speaker 5: online because they're being acting in an egregious manner. When
- 1:28:26Speaker 5: I sued the company that didn't do the right work
- 1:28:29Speaker 5: for me as far as gathering signatures for an election,
- 1:28:31Speaker 5: did I once on the air name that company?
- 1:28:34Speaker 3: No. No. Or even the state they operate in. It's
- 1:28:38Speaker 3: all a mystery. That's why I'm better than Kelly Clarkson.
- 1:28:41Speaker 3: A superior person.
- 1:28:43Speaker 4: A superior public figure, even.
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: Yeah, some of us are just classy people. Once again,
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: a gold star for CBass, you guys.
- 1:28:49Speaker 6: And by the way, by the way, you know what's so.
- 1:28:50Speaker 4: Great about CBass? It's never about him, you know? I
- 1:28:52Speaker 4: have every right to name and shame that company because
- 1:28:56Speaker 4: I won in court. The judge agreed.
- 1:28:58Speaker 3: They did not do right by me.
- 1:29:00Speaker 2: To the tune of $ 16, 000.
- 1:29:01Speaker 7: So what's your thinking?
- 1:29:03Speaker 4: I'm a nice person, and this is just the process
- 1:29:05Speaker 4: of doing business.
- 1:29:06Speaker 10: Look, I'm Team Kelly. I think these people were giving
- 1:29:09Speaker 10: her crap, but Seabass is right.
- 1:29:13Speaker 3: Thank you.
- 1:29:13Speaker 10: There's ways of handling it.
- 1:29:14Speaker 3: It's called being a respectable, decent person. Or how about
- 1:29:17Speaker 3: just be cool to customers?
- 1:29:19Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:29:19Speaker 4: Because you don't know who you're messing with. It's like
- 1:29:21Speaker 4: when you warn your kids. It's like, you know what?
- 1:29:22Speaker 4: You can't just go around mouthing out because someone's going
- 1:29:24Speaker 4: to punch.
- 1:29:24Speaker 3: You in the mouth.
- 1:29:25Speaker 5: But see, that's the debate is we don't know that
- 1:29:26Speaker 5: she was really messed with per se. You're just kind
- 1:29:29Speaker 5: of taking her word for it.
- 1:29:30Speaker 4: Well, again, Seabass is... Menace just said that he was
- 1:29:33Speaker 4: Team Kelly. Yeah. And that he believes.
- 1:29:36Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:29:36Speaker 4: I do believe her. There's a difference between believing and
- 1:29:39Speaker 4: ruining somebody's business. So let's say for the sake of argument,
- 1:29:42Speaker 4: just for the sake of argument, that it did happen
- 1:29:43Speaker 4: the way that Kelly said.
- 1:29:45Speaker 3: Right. I still wouldn't post it online.
- 1:29:46Speaker 4: Okay.
- 1:29:47Speaker 3: Because you're being a bully.
- 1:29:48Speaker 1: At that point.
- 1:29:49Speaker 6: Or like, if you could figure out what place in
- 1:29:51Speaker 6: Brooklyn has a bird on the wall.
- 1:29:54Speaker 3: Her damages are, they didn't sell me something I might
- 1:29:56Speaker 3: have wanted. Boo, goddamn hoo, you bitch.
- 1:29:59Speaker 1: Wow.
- 1:29:59Speaker 4: Wait, what'd you like?
- 1:30:02Speaker 8: Jeez.
- 1:30:02Speaker 5: I can say this because I acted nicely in my case.
- 1:30:07Speaker 10: Are you asking for the world's tiniest violin?
- 1:30:09Speaker 4: She is.
- 1:30:10Speaker 12: No.
- 1:30:11Speaker 3: Not me.
- 1:30:11Speaker 7: Oh, there it is.
- 1:30:12Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:30:13Speaker 3: What's that? The world's tiniest violin.
- 1:30:15Speaker 13: Oh.
- 1:30:15Speaker 3: Where'd you get that?
- 1:30:17Speaker 4: TikTok shop. Have you been waiting to break that out?
- 1:30:22Speaker 4: He's going to.
- 1:30:23Speaker 3: Shoehorn that in somehow. He literally has this little tiny violin.
- 1:30:30Speaker 7: You're a prodigy.
- 1:30:31Speaker 3: And what you're hearing, that little sound.
- 1:30:32Speaker 4: It's been sitting on my desk for two weeks.
- 1:30:35Speaker 3: Waiting for the moment.
- 1:30:36Speaker 5: It plays like an mp3. Menace is not actually that
- 1:30:38Speaker 5: good at tiny violin. As you touch the bow.
- 1:30:42Speaker 4: You draw the bow across the little fake strings there.
- 1:30:46Speaker 3: Give it a whirl, Greg.
- 1:30:47Speaker 5: That would have been good for Kelly Clarkson.
- 1:30:51Speaker 4: What an exercise in patience by Menace. Waiting this entire
- 1:30:54Speaker 4: time to break out that tiny ass violin.
- 1:30:57Speaker 7: The song is so sad.
- 1:30:59Speaker 10: Meanwhile, Kelly gets all the shine.
- 1:31:04Speaker 3: Beautiful, Greg.
- 1:31:06Speaker 4: Poor hipster store in Brooklyn.
- 1:31:07Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:31:07Speaker 4: Which, again, I hate that store. I hate everybody involved,
- 1:31:09Speaker 4: but she's still a bitch. That whole thing seems another
- 1:31:12Speaker 4: example of something that was just so white hot.
- 1:31:15Speaker 3: Hair on fire.
- 1:31:16Speaker 4: And then went away as quickly.
- 1:31:17Speaker 3: As it appeared.
- 1:31:17Speaker 4: It's almost like these controversies aren't really controversies. They're just.
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: The news cycle.
- 1:31:22Speaker 17: But don't worry, Seabass is keeping the story alive.
- 1:31:24Speaker 4: Yeah, he is.
- 1:31:25Speaker 3: Nice job.
- 1:31:27Speaker 4: Another gold star for Seabass.
- 1:31:28Speaker 5: It was applicable to this story about bad online reviews.
- 1:31:31Speaker 4: Thank you.
- 1:31:32Speaker 1: 877-44-WOODY.
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: You can send us a text over to 22987.
- 1:31:34Speaker 4: The Woody Show will be back in a sec.
- 1:31:42Speaker 1: This is The Woody Show.
- 1:31:43Speaker 4: All right, so Morgan was telling us in a meeting
- 1:31:48Speaker 4: that we were having about some show that And it's like,
- 1:31:53Speaker 4: it's one of your favorite things, Seabass, like a therapy.
- 1:31:55Speaker 3: It's like a therapy show.
- 1:31:57Speaker 17: Yeah, Seabass, you would love it.
- 1:31:58Speaker 8: It's like a reality show, but with couples therapy sessions.
- 1:32:01Speaker 4: Well, I would love it because she gave me the
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: homework of having to go through the audio for it.
- 1:32:05Speaker 17: Wait, we both did that?
- 1:32:06Speaker 3: Oh, I guess so.
- 1:32:07Speaker 4: Oh, cool.
- 1:32:08Speaker 17: Well, we have double the audio clips then.
- 1:32:10Speaker 4: Dang it.
- 1:32:11Speaker 17: I had to watch it too?
- 1:32:12Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:32:14Speaker 3: You were the one telling us about it. Yeah, it's
- 1:32:15Speaker 3: called Couples Therapy.
- 1:32:16Speaker 5: It came out in 2019. They've had like five seasons
- 1:32:18Speaker 5: so far. I believe it's on Paramount Plus or Showtime.
- 1:32:21Speaker 4: And yeah, it's real life couples.
- 1:32:22Speaker 5: They say they go through like thousands of couples.
- 1:32:26Speaker 3: They want real people.
- 1:32:26Speaker 5: They don't want people who are just looking to get
- 1:32:28Speaker 5: on TV.
- 1:32:29Speaker 7: But who in their right mind as a couple would
- 1:32:31Speaker 7: be like, oh, please put this on there.
- 1:32:32Speaker 3: Well, people go to therapy because they're losers. Loser narcissists.
- 1:32:36Speaker 4: Yeah, I instantly skip over it when I see it
- 1:32:38Speaker 4: on the previews.
- 1:32:39Speaker 17: Yeah, well, that's what caught my attention.
- 1:32:40Speaker 4: Because they do video previews.
- 1:32:42Speaker 17: Like, no way this is real.
- 1:32:44Speaker 4: That's real.
- 1:32:45Speaker 5: And it's this one lady therapist, and she sits down
- 1:32:47Speaker 5: and goes through all these people's deals.
- 1:32:49Speaker 4: But I'm saying, is it a real couple, or is
- 1:32:52Speaker 4: this a reality show? No, it's real.
- 1:32:55Speaker 3: Trust me, it's mega boring, so I believe it's real. Oh,
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: so that's how you know it's real. There's no juicy drama. Well,
- 1:33:02Speaker 3: we have some of that. Here, you want to give
- 1:33:03Speaker 3: me an example here, Seabass?
- 1:33:05Speaker 5: All right, so I went to, instead of going through
- 1:33:07Speaker 5: just watching slog after slog of idiots talking about themselves,
- 1:33:10Speaker 5: I went to their YouTube page for couples therapy, and
- 1:33:13Speaker 5: Went to their YouTube short and went to the most
- 1:33:15Speaker 5: viewed short. That's where the drama is. That's where the
- 1:33:18Speaker 5: actual good stuff is. So go to clip 2A there, Woody.
- 1:33:24Speaker 5: This is a guy and his wife who's about 700 pounds.
- 1:33:29Speaker 3: And they have an open marriage.
- 1:33:32Speaker 5: Who is that open to? But apparently the guy didn't
- 1:33:36Speaker 5: follow the open marriage rules.
- 1:33:38Speaker 2: Did you sleep with someone on Monday?
- 1:33:40Speaker 1: No. No.
- 1:33:43Speaker 2: No, I'm not entertaining that. You're saying you didn't. I
- 1:33:46Speaker 2: am proving that you are. That's not proof. That's not
- 1:33:49Speaker 2: even proof. It's not proof?
- 1:33:51Speaker 3: That I'm sleeping with somebody?
- 1:33:52Speaker 2: Did someone come over your house?
- 1:33:54Speaker 12: Let me ask the right question because you're a man
- 1:33:55Speaker 12: and I need to ask the right question for you
- 1:33:57Speaker 12: to answer properly. Did someone come over your home that
- 1:34:00Speaker 12: you sent them a car to and home from.
- 1:34:03Speaker 3: To pick them up? You said last week, right?
- 1:34:06Speaker 2: Yes. And you sent them back home at 1.30 in
- 1:34:09Speaker 2: the morning.
- 1:34:10Speaker 4: Man, there's such a better way to do this. Just
- 1:34:11Speaker 4: offer roses. You know what I mean? You'll find out
- 1:34:15Speaker 4: right away.
- 1:34:16Speaker 3: Call up the person and say, who would you like
- 1:34:17Speaker 3: to give this dozen roses to? You want it for free. Yeah,
- 1:34:19Speaker 3: the person that's not your wife.
- 1:34:20Speaker 6: But you know this dude's lying because he's like, wait,
- 1:34:22Speaker 6: last Wednesday?
- 1:34:23Speaker 10: Yeah, he's trying to catch up like where she is lying.
- 1:34:25Speaker 3: Because she has the Uber receipt. Oh, it continues here.
- 1:34:28Speaker 3: All right. Okay. I may have sent them back.
- 1:34:31Speaker 1: Yes.
- 1:34:32Speaker 2: Because you sent them there. I have literally proof of
- 1:34:34Speaker 2: the Uber.
- 1:34:36Speaker 3: Yes, you have proof of the Uber, but you are
- 1:34:38Speaker 3: jumping to conclusions.
- 1:34:39Speaker 2: What conclusions am I to jump to? I could have
- 1:34:42Speaker 2: been traveling from a certain area.
- 1:34:44Speaker 17: Is that what it is?
- 1:34:45Speaker 4: Is that what it is?
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: This sounds like menace.
- 1:34:50Speaker 2: You're not even my friend.
- 1:34:53Speaker 4: Oh, damn. If it was like this, I would watch it.
- 1:34:55Speaker 1: Right.
- 1:34:56Speaker 4: And Sammy's like getting horny over here with all the cheating.
- 1:34:58Speaker 6: And, uh, and see, that's just to double check. You
- 1:35:00Speaker 6: said this was a, a gentleman and a gal.
- 1:35:03Speaker 3: Okay. Look, let's not get into all that.
- 1:35:04Speaker 7: I'm trying to figure out what's going on.
- 1:35:07Speaker 3: I just want to know what I'm listening to.
- 1:35:09Speaker 4: Uh, yeah. So they, they, they, they end up with the,
- 1:35:12Speaker 4: the back and forth here.
- 1:35:12Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:35:13Speaker 4: So I still, like, I still can't figure out, like,
- 1:35:16Speaker 4: if you were really having legit problems, why, uh, Why
- 1:35:20Speaker 4: would you go about things this way? Because there's people
- 1:35:22Speaker 4: that are that thirsty to be on TV and don't care.
- 1:35:24Speaker 5: And the wife is saying, we're going to get a
- 1:35:26Speaker 5: couple's therapy, and you're saying, well, at least this one's
- 1:35:28Speaker 5: free because the TV show's paying for it.
- 1:35:29Speaker 2: No, you're so convinced that I'm trying to hurt you.
- 1:35:32Speaker 2: You're always convinced somebody's.
- 1:35:33Speaker 4: Trying to hurt you.
- 1:35:34Speaker 2: You are trying to hurt me.
- 1:35:36Speaker 16: No, I'm not!
- 1:35:36Speaker 12: You brought someone over and asked them to sleep with you.
- 1:35:39Speaker 12: You literally wrote in the message... Well, if you want
- 1:35:43Speaker 12: to get f * *.
- 1:35:43Speaker 3: * ed, you can. Oh, nice.
- 1:35:45Speaker 2: What the hell are you talking about? Oh, hold on.
- 1:35:47Speaker 2: Time out.
- 1:35:48Speaker 3: Time out.
- 1:35:48Speaker 2: You're cheating on me. Sherry and Clinton.
- 1:35:50Speaker 3: That's the therapist. I'm sorry, Orna.
- 1:35:52Speaker 2: I'm not even cheating on you.
- 1:35:54Speaker 7: Sit down.
- 1:35:55Speaker 17: See, Beth, don't you agree? She's a terrible therapist, too.
- 1:35:58Speaker 4: Well, she lets them go.
- 1:36:00Speaker 6: Well, I thought it would be like, she's such a
- 1:36:02Speaker 6: good therapist. They'll be like, fine, I'll be on TV.
- 1:36:04Speaker 17: No, she kind of just lets it go.
- 1:36:06Speaker 3: It's very, yeah. She'll maybe stop someone if they're talking
- 1:36:09Speaker 3: over the other person.
- 1:36:10Speaker 4: You got a clip for us here, Morgan?
- 1:36:11Speaker 8: Yeah, my first clip here was from this couple, Josh
- 1:36:14Speaker 8: and Natasha. And they were really proud that they had
- 1:36:18Speaker 8: sex together.
- 1:36:19Speaker 4: Yeah?
- 1:36:20Speaker 17: These are the issues they're having.
- 1:36:21Speaker 3: Today was a really good day.
- 1:36:23Speaker 1: Tell me.
- 1:36:23Speaker 3: We had sex today. Before coming to the session.
- 1:36:26Speaker 15: Wonderful.
- 1:36:27Speaker 16: And she was open to it. And that made me
- 1:36:29Speaker 16: feel happy. Didn't matter, you know, like what the mechanics
- 1:36:33Speaker 16: were of whatever it was. It was just that she
- 1:36:36Speaker 16: was like, all right. You know, and for me, I
- 1:36:39Speaker 16: was like, all right, let's.
- 1:36:40Speaker 4: Give it a go.
- 1:36:41Speaker 3: That's it?
- 1:36:42Speaker 4: We take our all rights, right?
- 1:36:43Speaker 13: Yeah.
- 1:36:44Speaker 4: Can you imagine, Greg?
- 1:36:45Speaker 2: No.
- 1:36:45Speaker 4: Ugh.
- 1:36:45Speaker 7: Will you marry me?
- 1:36:47Speaker 3: All right.
- 1:36:48Speaker 4: Oh, my God.
- 1:36:48Speaker 8: They're too far gone to be even in therapy.
- 1:36:51Speaker 3: Like, that's what did it for him.
- 1:36:53Speaker 4: He's like, oh, man.
- 1:36:54Speaker 3: We got the mechanics right? She said, all right.
- 1:36:56Speaker 4: No, it wasn't about the mechanics.
- 1:36:58Speaker 3: I mean, how don't you get that right? Did you miss?
- 1:37:02Speaker 17: They both were all right with it.
- 1:37:04Speaker 3: Okay. Maybe he went to work. Exactly.
- 1:37:06Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:37:07Speaker 7: It was so nice to like have sex.
- 1:37:10Speaker 17: And then afterwards we were like, great job.
- 1:37:12Speaker 2: And then like, we were talking about like other things.
- 1:37:14Speaker 17: Like normally it's part of life.
- 1:37:16Speaker 4: Exactly.
- 1:37:17Speaker 3: Because it was like, oh my God, like this can happen.
- 1:37:21Speaker 7: Wait, what?
- 1:37:21Speaker 4: I'm confused.
- 1:37:22Speaker 3: Isn't that sad?
- 1:37:23Speaker 4: Great job.
- 1:37:23Speaker 3: So they had sex and then it was over.
- 1:37:25Speaker 4: They kind of jumped back into like normal life, talking
- 1:37:28Speaker 4: about other things like.
- 1:37:28Speaker 3: All right, so what's it, we have to go to
- 1:37:30Speaker 3: the grocery store or.
- 1:37:30Speaker 10: Like, are you going to pick up the kids?
- 1:37:32Speaker 3: And that's what they're proud of?
- 1:37:33Speaker 7: Yeah, I don't get it.
- 1:37:34Speaker 4: I guess. Maybe that's progress for them.
- 1:37:36Speaker 3: Isn't that just kind of normal?
- 1:37:38Speaker 8: And isn't it weird to tell your therapist, hey, we
- 1:37:40Speaker 8: just had sex before.
- 1:37:41Speaker 7: No. You tell your therapist everything.
- 1:37:43Speaker 5: I also stuck to the sex stuff here because- Greg,
- 1:37:47Speaker 5: I saw there's a whole YouTube video from couples therapy
- 1:37:50Speaker 5: about cheating.
- 1:37:51Speaker 4: And I saw a couple of lesbians like, all right, sweet. Yeah.
- 1:37:55Speaker 5: So there's one lesbian cheating on another one because they
- 1:37:58Speaker 5: also have an open relationship.
- 1:38:00Speaker 3: But then how is it cheating if it's open?
- 1:38:01Speaker 4: Well, there's rules.
- 1:38:03Speaker 3: There are rules. And so this is one lesbian.
- 1:38:07Speaker 5: Explaining how what she did wasn't even cheating but still
- 1:38:10Speaker 5: violated the rules.
- 1:38:12Speaker 15: While I was out with a friend, Nadine went to
- 1:38:13Speaker 15: see one of her lovers without telling me. Mm-hmm. I
- 1:38:16Speaker 15: felt that a boundary was crossed because there was no
- 1:38:18Speaker 15: communication about her going to see them. And this isn't
- 1:38:22Speaker 15: the first time a boundary has been crossed with this
- 1:38:24Speaker 15: particular person.
- 1:38:25Speaker 16: My experience was a little different.
- 1:38:27Speaker 10: Tell me.
- 1:38:28Speaker 2: That person, they had.
- 1:38:29Speaker 17: gotten their period, they weren't feeling well.
- 1:38:31Speaker 3: I asked them if they wanted weed.
- 1:38:33Speaker 4: It was a literal four-second interaction, like boom, boom, bye.
- 1:38:36Speaker 16: Because I was so afraid of what it would create
- 1:38:41Speaker 16: in the home.
- 1:38:41Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:38:42Speaker 3: Yeah, I intended to cheat, but then... Yeah, she's on
- 1:38:45Speaker 3: her period.
- 1:38:45Speaker 5: And by the way, that's cut down from about 10
- 1:38:47Speaker 5: minutes of the most boring lesbian story I've ever heard
- 1:38:50Speaker 5: in my life.
- 1:38:50Speaker 3: It does sound like the therapist really doesn't do anything.
- 1:38:54Speaker 7: Well, the producers are probably like, let them talk.
- 1:38:55Speaker 3: That's what the goal is. Tell me.
- 1:38:57Speaker 4: That's that weird like, yeah, creamer.
- 1:39:00Speaker 3: Tell me.
- 1:39:01Speaker 8: Say it slower.
- 1:39:03Speaker 5: Watching this confirmed, of course, everything I thought about therapy.
- 1:39:06Speaker 5: It's just narcissists talking about themselves, talking about things like Morgan's.
- 1:39:09Speaker 4: Clip that could be super easy to figure out. Like,
- 1:39:11Speaker 4: when are we going to have sex? Okay, we'll figure
- 1:39:13Speaker 4: it out. They run out of things to talk about.
- 1:39:15Speaker 3: It's just like me, me, me, me, me, feelings, feelings, boundaries.
- 1:39:18Speaker 10: So they have to pay somebody to listen.
- 1:39:19Speaker 17: Well, here's a real argument, Seabass. Clip two.
- 1:39:21Speaker 8: This is Marjorie and Jason, my favorite couple from the show,
- 1:39:24Speaker 8: by the way. They're arguing about animals in the house.
- 1:39:27Speaker 19: There's a couple of things in the house that is
- 1:39:28Speaker 19: very important to me. My bed, my sleep space. Well,
- 1:39:33Speaker 19: I can't have that there because the animals are on
- 1:39:35Speaker 19: the bed. Dogs licking herself on my bed, put a
- 1:39:38Speaker 19: big wet spot.
- 1:39:40Speaker 3: So we have a split king, right? I got so
- 1:39:43Speaker 3: frustrated that.
- 1:39:44Speaker 19: I'm going to take my bed off and put it
- 1:39:48Speaker 19: in the closet until I'm ready to sleep.
- 1:39:50Speaker 17: So dramatic.
- 1:39:50Speaker 10: I will deploy it again.
- 1:39:52Speaker 19: To ensure that the bed is in the same condition.
- 1:39:56Speaker 17: That's a good idea.
- 1:39:56Speaker 3: No, it's the stupidest thing I've ever heard.
- 1:39:59Speaker 12: I know you're a doctor and I don't want to
- 1:40:01Speaker 12: disrespect you, but that's the dumbest thing I've ever heard.
- 1:40:03Speaker 17: Yeah, and then they're just talking back to the therapist. Like,
- 1:40:05Speaker 17: why are you even here?
- 1:40:06Speaker 3: That's a good idea. Every night, take your bed, put
- 1:40:08Speaker 3: it in the closet so the dogs won't sit.
- 1:40:10Speaker 4: What the hell?
- 1:40:12Speaker 3: Don't address the problem.
- 1:40:13Speaker 10: Yeah, yeah.
- 1:40:13Speaker 3: That's how you can fix it. Greg, is there a
- 1:40:16Speaker 3: way to keep animals off.
- 1:40:17Speaker 4: Of our furniture? No, no.
- 1:40:18Speaker 3: It's impossible.
- 1:40:19Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 1:40:20Speaker 3: No, of course it is.
- 1:40:20Speaker 4: Greg and I managed to somehow, we love our dogs.
- 1:40:23Speaker 3: Lay the ground rules. They are not on the furniture. Right,
- 1:40:25Speaker 3: unless it's weekend camping in the other room.
- 1:40:28Speaker 4: In another room. I never feel bad for parents who say, oh,
- 1:40:32Speaker 4: I had a good night's sleep because your kids are
- 1:40:33Speaker 4: still allowed to sleep in the bed with you.
- 1:40:36Speaker 3: Whenever they get scared and come in, they're like, nope.
- 1:40:38Speaker 15: Never.
- 1:40:39Speaker 3: Lay down the law.
- 1:40:40Speaker 4: Oh, but they're sick. Okay, well, you go stay in
- 1:40:42Speaker 4: their room and you sleep in their bed. So you
- 1:40:44Speaker 4: guys didn't spend thousands of dollars and months and months.
- 1:40:46Speaker 3: Of therapy to figure out these whole.
- 1:40:48Speaker 4: Wow.
- 1:40:48Speaker 1: Weird.
- 1:40:49Speaker 17: Crazy.
- 1:40:50Speaker 3: But you know what?
- 1:40:50Speaker 4: I mean, with how popular all the therapy stuff is,
- 1:40:53Speaker 4: I'm not surprised it's a show.
- 1:40:54Speaker 3: Oh, sure. Oh, sure. There's a lot of interest. There's
- 1:40:57Speaker 3: big money.
- 1:40:58Speaker 4: In this kind of stuff, in conventions, there's like mental health, everything.
- 1:41:03Speaker 3: It's big business.
- 1:41:04Speaker 4: It's big business. It's almost as if being self-aware saves
- 1:41:08Speaker 4: you a lot of money.
- 1:41:08Speaker 10: Whoa.
- 1:41:10Speaker 5: Yeah, if you can just like put down your foot,
- 1:41:12Speaker 5: solve your problems, and move on to actual life, and
- 1:41:15Speaker 5: not spend thousands of dollars swirling in a little spiral
- 1:41:18Speaker 5: of talky, talky, talky, talky. No, just get it done
- 1:41:20Speaker 5: and move on.
- 1:41:20Speaker 4: I mean, there's something you said, like everybody's kind of
- 1:41:22Speaker 4: interested in other people's business.
- 1:41:23Speaker 1: Yep.
- 1:41:24Speaker 4: You know, to be on the fly on the wall for,
- 1:41:27Speaker 4: you know, couples therapy. marriage counseling or something like that
- 1:41:31Speaker 4: like I could see where I could see where people
- 1:41:33Speaker 4: would be interested in that oh yeah but not from
- 1:41:36Speaker 4: a therapy standpoint just from like a.
- 1:41:38Speaker 6: Gossipy nosy I would love to spend a day at
- 1:41:42Speaker 6: divorce court and sit in the back and just hear
- 1:41:44Speaker 6: all the drama I don't want to fix it I just.
- 1:41:47Speaker 4: Want to hear it yeah with no skin in the
- 1:41:48Speaker 4: game none you get to come and go as.
- 1:41:49Speaker 18: You want I love that no paper lunch like boring
- 1:41:53Speaker 18: next room Yes.
- 1:41:54Speaker 14: Boring.
- 1:41:54Speaker 4: Next room. Yes, this is a good one.
- 1:41:57Speaker 5: But I had to dig through this show that's already
- 1:41:58Speaker 5: done the digging for me, supposedly, to find the one
- 1:42:00Speaker 5: guy screaming about getting to buy an Uber for his
- 1:42:02Speaker 5: side piece.
- 1:42:03Speaker 3: Everything else is just, oh, 15 minutes.
- 1:42:04Speaker 17: And they have five seasons of this thing.
- 1:42:07Speaker 3: Yeah. Who's this last one?
- 1:42:10Speaker 8: We'll go to four, clip four. This is Sienna and Chris.
- 1:42:12Speaker 8: Because I'm like, okay, how do they resolve things? Like,
- 1:42:15Speaker 8: what's the end figuring out, right? Apparently nothing.
- 1:42:18Speaker 1: All right.
- 1:42:19Speaker 4: I did something horrible to you. I feel like I
- 1:42:22Speaker 4: don't deserve it. But that's like your MO, babe. Wait,
- 1:42:27Speaker 4: I did something. What?
- 1:42:28Speaker 3: But that's your MO, babe.
- 1:42:30Speaker 17: He doesn't deserve her.
- 1:42:31Speaker 3: Oh, doesn't deserve her?
- 1:42:32Speaker 17: He's like, I do something.
- 1:42:33Speaker 4: Oh, I thought he said. I don't deserve what I'm
- 1:42:36Speaker 4: getting or I don't deserve the treatment.
- 1:42:38Speaker 13: No, no, no.
- 1:42:38Speaker 3: I don't deserve you.
- 1:42:39Speaker 17: No, he's taking the route of like, you're better than me.
- 1:42:41Speaker 4: Oh, yuck.
- 1:42:42Speaker 10: I did something horrible to you.
- 1:42:44Speaker 4: I feel like I don't deserve.
- 1:42:46Speaker 7: But that's like your MO, babe.
- 1:42:48Speaker 4: Like, you need that like.
- 1:42:50Speaker 2: Flogging.
- 1:42:51Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 1:42:52Speaker 4: You know, like you need to be punished. Yeah, daddy.
- 1:42:55Speaker 4: Look at me.
- 1:42:55Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:42:56Speaker 19: I'm scared because I love you so much.
- 1:42:58Speaker 1: Oh.
- 1:42:59Speaker 15: Bark.
- 1:42:59Speaker 10: And I love you so much.
- 1:43:02Speaker 3: I didn't think that you should be with me because
- 1:43:04Speaker 3: I think you're f * * * ing amazing.
- 1:43:07Speaker 10: And I'm just some schmuck with mommy issues and a
- 1:43:11Speaker 10: trust fund that ran out.
- 1:43:12Speaker 13: Shh.
- 1:43:14Speaker 3: Stop talking. Oh my God.
- 1:43:15Speaker 13: What?
- 1:43:16Speaker 4: How is that resolving? I don't want anybody to know
- 1:43:18Speaker 4: that I'm broke.
- 1:43:18Speaker 3: Is that the wife?
- 1:43:20Speaker 17: And then she goes, shut up.
- 1:43:21Speaker 10: This is a guy that has a side piece who's
- 1:43:23Speaker 10: trying to get this chick to move on.
- 1:43:25Speaker 4: Absolutely.
- 1:43:26Speaker 3: He wants her so badly to break up with him.
- 1:43:28Speaker 3: I don't deserve you. You should go be with somebody better.
- 1:43:30Speaker 3: Do you think he has a side piece because he
- 1:43:31Speaker 3: sounds like such a pussy?
- 1:43:33Speaker 17: He sounds like AI. He has no emotion, and it's
- 1:43:36Speaker 17: very strange.
- 1:43:37Speaker 3: So you're a dream man? Getting.
- 1:43:40Speaker 4: But, Morgan, I would think a guy like this, you
- 1:43:43Speaker 4: would hate this guy. Me?
- 1:43:44Speaker 3: Yeah, because he's such a puss.
- 1:43:46Speaker 17: Yeah, well, I didn't say I liked him.
- 1:43:47Speaker 3: He can't hold it up and say, yeah, we should
- 1:43:49Speaker 3: break up.
- 1:43:49Speaker 8: It was just, like you said, one of the few
- 1:43:51Speaker 8: entertaining clips of all these hours that I had to
- 1:43:53Speaker 8: go through.
- 1:43:53Speaker 4: All right, so the name of the show is what?
- 1:43:55Speaker 17: Couples Therapy.
- 1:43:56Speaker 4: It's on Amazon.
- 1:43:57Speaker 3: Yeah, Amazon, Paramount +, Showtime. They've got a big YouTube
- 1:44:00Speaker 3: thing if you want to watch it for free.
- 1:44:01Speaker 17: It's really great.
- 1:44:02Speaker 3: You saved us a lot of time not watching it.
- 1:44:04Speaker 4: You're welcome, Greg.
- 1:44:05Speaker 3: I thought you were totally into it for some reason.
- 1:44:07Speaker 8: No, I just saw it. I got on Amazon Prime.
- 1:44:09Speaker 8: It came up, and I'm like, oh, Seabass might like this.
- 1:44:12Speaker 4: I pitched it. 503 texting over, funny listening to Seabass
- 1:44:15Speaker 4: talk-ish about therapy, considering how badly he needs it.
- 1:44:18Speaker 3: Getting. Oh, yeah.
- 1:44:19Speaker 4: Well, thanks for giving me all the, whoa. Oh, there's nothing,
- 1:44:22Speaker 4: no examples whatsoever. Interesting.
- 1:44:24Speaker 7: Interesting.
- 1:44:25Speaker 3: Interesting. Greg Gorey.
- 1:44:30Speaker 15: Woody.
- 1:44:31Speaker 4: I got some story from your alma mater.
- 1:44:33Speaker 3: MIT? MIT. What's up at my old stomping grounds?
- 1:44:37Speaker 15: Yeah.
- 1:44:37Speaker 4: It's where Greg got all his formal training.
- 1:44:39Speaker 6: Yes.
- 1:44:40Speaker 3: If you need help with anything, let me know. This
- 1:44:44Speaker 3: former MIT.
- 1:44:45Speaker 4: Biology professor, his name is Dr. David Sabatini.
- 1:44:49Speaker 3: I remember him.
- 1:44:52Speaker 4: He just won a $ 6 million defamation verdict. Mm-hmm. After
- 1:44:56Speaker 4: a jury found that this chick, this former colleague, Dr.
- 1:45:00Speaker 4: Kristen Knauss.
- 1:45:01Speaker 3: Oh, yeah, she was bad news.
- 1:45:02Speaker 4: Defamed him with misconduct claims, some sexual misconduct claims.
- 1:45:08Speaker 15: Oh.
- 1:45:09Speaker 4: That he says cost him his lab, his MIT position,
- 1:45:12Speaker 4: and his reputation. So the article says they met in 2012.
- 1:45:17Speaker 4: They began a sexual relationship, which ended the following year.
- 1:45:22Speaker 4: And during the trial, David's attorney presented text messages saying,
- 1:45:26Speaker 4: between her and David that showed that Kristen willingly participated
- 1:45:29Speaker 4: in the relationship. They also presented evidence that showed that
- 1:45:35Speaker 4: Kristen had become jealous of this other woman who David
- 1:45:37Speaker 4: was interested in.
- 1:45:39Speaker 3: Shocking, right?
- 1:45:40Speaker 4: And then set out to have him fired. David says
- 1:45:43Speaker 4: that everyone who came out and tried to defend him
- 1:45:45Speaker 4: got attacked every which way. So the jury sides with him.
- 1:45:50Speaker 4: He gets $ 6 million for his troubles. Now, for her part,
- 1:45:55Speaker 4: after the verdict... Kristen's lawyer told the New York Times, quote,
- 1:45:59Speaker 4: so dumb. The sad reality of our time is that
- 1:46:03Speaker 4: society still has a difficult time believing women and appreciating
- 1:46:08Speaker 4: the difficulty they encounter with men. who too often control
- 1:46:12Speaker 4: their fate. Girl, there were text messages. There was a
- 1:46:14Speaker 4: jury here.
- 1:46:15Speaker 7: Don't do that.
- 1:46:18Speaker 4: You can maybe say that going into the whole thing,
- 1:46:21Speaker 4: which is why he was able to turn around and
- 1:46:23Speaker 4: then say this is defamation because what you said was
- 1:46:25Speaker 4: not true.
- 1:46:26Speaker 8: Right.
- 1:46:27Speaker 4: Do you understand how that works? And so you are
- 1:46:30Speaker 4: hurting people who really are the victims in that case.
- 1:46:34Speaker 7: Ruin it for everybody.
- 1:46:35Speaker 4: Yes. You're not the person to cry about something like that.
- 1:46:38Speaker 4: They should be crying about people like you.
- 1:46:40Speaker 7: But I just want to sneak in with that crowd.
- 1:46:43Speaker 7: And then maybe I'll get something.
- 1:46:44Speaker 4: Well, and she's going to be paying some of the
- 1:46:46Speaker 4: $ 6 million, right?
- 1:46:48Speaker 3: No way. She gets to go do whatever she wants.
- 1:46:51Speaker 4: I'm not sure how that works. How would that work?
- 1:46:53Speaker 3: How do any of those judgments work?
- 1:46:56Speaker 4: Well, he probably didn't sue her, I mean, specifically because
- 1:47:00Speaker 4: there's probably nothing to get.
- 1:47:01Speaker 3: Yeah, but it looks good.
- 1:47:02Speaker 13: Right.
- 1:47:03Speaker 3: Well, then who... Symbolic.
- 1:47:04Speaker 4: Then who gets the... What's the defamation verdict? Like, who's the.
- 1:47:07Speaker 3: Well, I mean... She's the one defending.
- 1:47:09Speaker 7: Technically, she's on the hook, but you can't get blood
- 1:47:11Speaker 7: from a stone.
- 1:47:11Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:47:12Speaker 17: Does he sue the school to begin with?
- 1:47:13Speaker 3: I'm sure he sued both.
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: Right.
- 1:47:15Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:47:15Speaker 4: I don't know.
- 1:47:17Speaker 10: I mean, again, you get sued into oblivion, and then, like,
- 1:47:21Speaker 10: the guys that got sued for the Hulk Hogan sex tape, like,
- 1:47:25Speaker 10: They couldn't open bank accounts. They couldn't do anything.
- 1:47:27Speaker 6: Yeah, it'll mess up your life, but it doesn't mean
- 1:47:29Speaker 6: the other guy's going to get any money.
- 1:47:30Speaker 10: Same thing with Seabass's favorite, Cardi B. There was that
- 1:47:34Speaker 10: Cardi B sued this YouTuber who was saying all this
- 1:47:37Speaker 10: stuff about her.
- 1:47:38Speaker 3: Like she had VD in the stuff.
- 1:47:39Speaker 10: Yeah, and all this crazy amount of money that the
- 1:47:42Speaker 10: YouTuber can never pay, but it puts her in such
- 1:47:44Speaker 10: a position that she can't even do anything.
- 1:47:47Speaker 4: See, as a vengeful person, I would think that would
- 1:47:50Speaker 4: be more satisfying. When you really don't need it.
- 1:47:53Speaker 3: If you sued Jeff Bezos.
- 1:47:55Speaker 4: And you get a big settlement.
- 1:47:56Speaker 3: No punishment. What does he care?
- 1:47:58Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 1:47:58Speaker 3: Or even if, like, forget Jeff Bezos.
- 1:48:00Speaker 7: He would know his mistake.
- 1:48:00Speaker 4: You sue somebody that's got money.
- 1:48:03Speaker 3: And they, you know, lose.
- 1:48:05Speaker 4: And you get, let's say, every dime that you ask for.
- 1:48:09Speaker 3: Right?
- 1:48:10Speaker 4: Big deal. Like, they're still rich.
- 1:48:13Speaker 7: Didn't hurt them.
- 1:48:14Speaker 4: You win against somebody who's got $ 10. And they have
- 1:48:17Speaker 4: to give you nothing. of their dollars. Like that hurts
- 1:48:22Speaker 4: way more than somebody who's got money and gives up,
- 1:48:26Speaker 4: you know, a million, 2 million, whatever it is. And
- 1:48:29Speaker 4: they still got money.
- 1:48:30Speaker 7: That's the other side of our hypothetical.
- 1:48:32Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:48:32Speaker 6: Because it would be more satisfying to hurt that person
- 1:48:36Speaker 6: than to get the money.
- 1:48:37Speaker 3: Yeah. Oh, yeah. It's kind of along the same lines.
- 1:48:40Speaker 18: In this situation with the professors, it is the girl
- 1:48:43Speaker 18: who was ordered to pay him the.
- 1:48:45Speaker 17: $ 6 million.
- 1:48:46Speaker 3: Oh, he's screwed.
- 1:48:47Speaker 5: Yeah, because, yeah, it says that against MIT, they didn't
- 1:48:51Speaker 5: participate in the witch hunt at all.
- 1:48:53Speaker 3: And their part of it was dismissed. So now he's screwed.
- 1:48:56Speaker 3: But maybe moving forward, whatever job she has, her wages
- 1:48:59Speaker 3: will be garnished?
- 1:49:00Speaker 7: Probably. I don't know. I mean, I think you have
- 1:49:02Speaker 7: to just keep chasing them around, don't you?
- 1:49:04Speaker 17: No, because it's court-ordered, so it would be the same
- 1:49:06Speaker 17: as child support or something, right?
- 1:49:07Speaker 3: But you still have to chase them around.
- 1:49:08Speaker 7: You have to chase them. It doesn't just come naturally.
- 1:49:10Speaker 3: You just hire somebody. You hire somebody.
- 1:49:13Speaker 4: It's their job just to keep chasing them down.
- 1:49:15Speaker 3: Because the only way to get out of this, at
- 1:49:16Speaker 3: least partially, is what O.J.
- 1:49:18Speaker 5: Did, where he moved to Florida, where you can have
- 1:49:20Speaker 5: a homestead exemption, meaning that they can't sue you for
- 1:49:22Speaker 5: your house in Florida.
- 1:49:23Speaker 1: Oh, right.
- 1:49:24Speaker 5: And he had a pension, which was also exempt. So
- 1:49:26Speaker 5: he couldn't go out. There's plenty of money O.J.
- 1:49:28Speaker 4: Made.
- 1:49:29Speaker 3: Sorry, Morgan.
- 1:49:30Speaker 5: Like at trade shows, the Goldman's could come after because
- 1:49:32Speaker 5: they had that 50 whatever million dollar judgment.
- 1:49:34Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:49:34Speaker 3: But they couldn't take his house and they couldn't take
- 1:49:36Speaker 3: his pension. And that's kind of why they had.
- 1:49:37Speaker 7: To encourage the book, too, which is super sad.
- 1:49:39Speaker 10: Also, that's why they just said he was the biggest
- 1:49:41Speaker 10: idiot ever for moving out of Florida.
- 1:49:44Speaker 4: Back to Vegas.
- 1:49:44Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:49:45Speaker 4: Back to Vegas because he was living it up.
- 1:49:47Speaker 3: Yeah.
- 1:49:48Speaker 4: By the way, there's this, let's see, a bombshell New
- 1:49:51Speaker 4: York Times investigation says that Joseph Joey Ippolato, a mob-connected
- 1:49:56Speaker 4: drug trafficker who escaped from a Florida prison a month
- 1:49:59Speaker 4: before the murders, may have helped OJ Simpson cover up
- 1:50:03Speaker 4: the 1994 killings with his brother Sam claiming Joey came
- 1:50:08Speaker 4: home around midnight with blood on his hands and a
- 1:50:10Speaker 4: heavy bag he had Sam dump in a construction dumpster.
- 1:50:16Speaker 3: Oh, and it might have had the knife in it, right?
- 1:50:18Speaker 4: Right. But a former prosecutor says that he doesn't buy
- 1:50:22Speaker 4: that Joey was in on the killings and the claims
- 1:50:25Speaker 4: are still unproven. But like this mob pal hid the
- 1:50:29Speaker 4: knife is the claim.
- 1:50:30Speaker 1: Yeah.
- 1:50:31Speaker 3: Sounds like the Tupac murder guy. He was trying to
- 1:50:35Speaker 3: have maybe this guy. He's in the mob. He's like, yeah,
- 1:50:37Speaker 3: I had something to do with that. I helped OJ.
- 1:50:38Speaker 8: Yeah.
- 1:50:39Speaker 3: That was me. So you murdered a woman and her boyfriend? Right.
- 1:50:43Speaker 3: Tough guy, huh?
- 1:50:44Speaker 4: Cool.

- 1:51:33Speaker 7: Yeah, make it memorable.
- 1:51:34Speaker 3: Make it something people will remember. Something noteworthy. Remarkable in
