We're going to talk about places in town. Luna: Oh, like where I can find a bathroom? Or a coffee shop? I remember 廁所 from before. Lucas: Exactly. But today we're adding three new places. First one: 學校. Luna: 學校. Lucas: Good. 學校 means 'school'. Can you say it once more? Luna: 學校. Lucas: Perfect. Now, if you want to say 'I go to school', you say 我去學校. Luna: 我去學校. Lucas: Yes! Remember 去 from episode 20? You're using it perfectly. Luna: So 我去學校 is 'I go to school'. But what if I want to say 'I am going to school'? Lucas: Good question. For now, 我去學校 can mean both 'I go to school' and 'I am going to school'. Context makes it clear. Luna: Got it. 我去學校. Lucas: Next place: 醫院. Luna: 醫院. Lucas: That's 'hospital'. Try it again. Luna: 醫院. Lucas: Right. Now, if you need to ask 'Where is the hospital?', you say 醫院喺邊度? 喺邊度 means 'where is' — we learned that in episode 23. Luna: Oh, yeah! 喺邊度. So 醫院喺邊度? Lucas: Exactly. Nice work. Now, the third place is a bit longer: 超級市場. Luna: 超級市場. That's a mouthful! Lucas: It is. 超級市場 means 'supermarket'. Break it down: 超級 means 'super', and 市場 means 'market'. So 'supermarket'. Luna: Okay. 超級市場. Lucas: Good. Now, if the supermarket is over there, you can say 超級市場喺嗰度. 嗰度 means 'there'. Luna: 超級市場喺嗰度. Lucas: Yes! Let's practice all three in a little scene. Imagine you're walking with a friend. Luna: Okay. Lucas: I'll be you. You point and say: 我去學校. Luna: 我去學校. Lucas: Then I say: 學校喺嗰度. 'School is over there.' Then you ask: 醫院喺邊度? Luna: 醫院喺邊度? Lucas: I reply: 醫院喺嗰度. 'Hospital is over there.' Then you say: 超級市場喺邊度? Luna: 超級市場喺邊度? Lucas: And I say: 超級市場喺嗰度. Great job, Luna! Luna: That felt like a real conversation. So useful.
