- 0:00Yeah, it was. It was definitely a special
- 0:02moment, you know, going back actually to a research.
- 0:07I have to thank actually Kyle Busch because he he did a very
- 0:10very good job giving me some good pushes to take the lead the
- 0:14first time when I was third and we do the lead together and and
- 0:21then after that when I picked the bottom in front of him it
- 0:26worked out good. But but the the 12 car, the
- 0:29Penske car, they were pretty strong.
- 0:30They were pretty strong especially when they were close
- 0:32to being together and and the the outside line on the back of
- 0:36the roadway came extremely strong way sooner than what I
- 0:39was anticipating and and the the 12 was able to push me.
- 0:43But when he moved me a little bit he was able to get to my
- 0:45outside and that's exactly what I didn't want it.
- 0:48I didn't want to give him my outside but at that point I was
- 0:51racing in 2nd and I was trying to figure out how to get to him.
- 0:56I almost got to him and getting into a three but I got very very
- 0:59loose and and I couldn't actually get there and when we
- 1:04cross the white flag I knew we were going to have a good shot
- 1:07because the two car was behind me and he was giving me very
- 1:09very good pushes and and I I dragged the brake a little bit
- 1:14on corner 2. And and I I I can see him coming
- 1:18with a push and say OK here comes and my my move was going
- 1:20to come after that but then he slowed down and and I was like
- 1:23damn it like already he didn't want to help me because his
- 1:26teammate wasn't wasn't the lead. But at that point the 23 pushed
- 1:30the the eight and the eight was able to make the move and I was
- 1:33able to side drive the 8 and that's when the three wide you
- 1:36know got started. So it was a little crazy you
- 1:40know who knows what what will have happened if the two was
- 1:44actually giving me the push maybe who knows maybe they were
- 1:47going to pass me back and get X04.
- 1:49I'm just I'm just glad we're here with with my entire team.
- 1:53Tri house Chevrolet Freeway insurance Cesar over there CEO
- 1:57freeway insurance with his entire family he's been in
- 1:59Victory Lane Roy twice in one month so so he he's getting
- 2:02spoiled and and yeah just very happy.
- 2:05You know very happy. Everyone in Tri house worked
- 2:08extremely hard in the offseason and to be able to to start the
- 2:122024 season. This is strong because last last
- 2:15weekend the Icona 500 we finished 32nd or something like
- 2:18that but we were running up front and we wrecked running up
- 2:22front and and I feel like we have a strong team and and we're
- 2:26showing that so far in the couple weeks that we've been
- 2:29racing. So we have to continue to build
- 2:32on that Jordan Bianchi, the Athletic fairly.
- 2:34Or not the perception? Going into the year was you were
- 2:36on the hot seat and need to perform.
- 2:38Did you feel like you were on the hot seat coming into this
- 2:41year and that you were at risk of losing your ride and and then
- 2:45two what does this do for your future at track house.
- 2:49Yeah I know. I never I never felt like I was
- 2:51in a hot seat. You know a lot of people was
- 2:53talking about it. You know Shane, Shane coming on
- 2:57board and then Shane coming on board and and but I never felt
- 3:02bad. I knew that.
- 3:04I knew the last year wasn't the year that I really wanted I work
- 3:08you know people people that actually know me they know how
- 3:10hard I work and last year we just we work hard but we're not
- 3:14efficient you know we're missing something we were not firing in
- 3:17all a cylinders and and we want to work in the offseason we want
- 3:21to work and we changed a little bit our system the way we do
- 3:24things in in a few different areas and and I've been telling
- 3:29Ty. I've been telling Justin say man
- 3:30I can I can feel the team strong.
- 3:32I can feel the communication the preparation, everything that we
- 3:35have squid. Matt Sudarski has done a hell of
- 3:39a job helping me to build a strong team and and I can feel
- 3:45it. You know I can I can feel it and
- 3:47I'm. I'm happy that we're able to to
- 3:50do it early in the season because you know some people
- 3:53actually told me earlier hey now you can relax.
- 3:56You know you're in the playoffs. Hell no.
- 3:58My goal is no win to is not to win one race.
- 4:01I want to head into the playoffs with at least a handful of you
- 4:05know with a few wins to be able to contend for a championship.
- 4:08This is not relaxing here we this is only the beginning.
- 4:11We have to continue to work continue to build.
- 4:13We know that there is a few things that we could have done a
- 4:16little bit better today. We learn from that and and and
- 4:19we continue to build. I'm happy that we are securing
- 4:22the playoffs but to be able to win the championship you won't
- 4:26do it winning one or two races you have to win at least a
- 4:29handful of races to great points and and that's the goal for a
- 4:3299. The goal for me and with a 99 is
- 4:35for you guys not to be surprised when the ninety 90s in Victory
- 4:38Lane. Let's go to Bob, Steven and then
- 4:41Jonathan, Bob Parker's Fox Sports F2.
- 4:47The First off, can you go through a?
- 4:49Race like that every week. Or is that too intense?
- 4:52I love it, Bob. I love it.
- 4:55You know? I love competition.
- 4:57I love racing. I woke up every morning with so,
- 5:06so grateful and so fortunate to be in this position.
- 5:08You know that I get to do what I love to do.
- 5:11I get to compete with the best of the best every single
- 5:13weekend. And and not just that but I get
- 5:16to do it with an amazing team, Astro House, with great people
- 5:19that support me and that believe in me, you know freeway
- 5:22insurance. They've been with me already for
- 5:23for several years. Coca-Cola, Tutsis, so many
- 5:27people, so many people. They've been with me for, for,
- 5:29for for a while quicker stay doing a lot of things,
- 5:32supporting me racing in the NASCAR Mexico series.
- 5:35I'm very fortunate. I'm very fortunate to have great
- 5:37people around me and and honestly I I I love competing.
- 5:42I love this pressure. I love going out there knowing
- 5:46that that we have to perform. I use that as fuel so.
- 5:50What does a win? What will this win do you feel
- 5:53do for your future? Considering, you know it's.
- 5:57Quote. Just your second Cup win and
- 5:59your first on an Oval and. 1st and 58 starts.
- 6:03Yeah I mean to me to me it's everything about building a good
- 6:07group around me. I I truly believe that the last
- 6:11few years with Tri House we have had great group of people
- 6:14working together. You know where they were able to
- 6:17win a year and a half ago and and and it was amazing.
- 6:20But like I said you know the goal for me personal it has
- 6:23never been to win a race a year to win two races a year.
- 6:27The the the the goal is bigger than that and and I knew that to
- 6:31be able to get that we needed to to do something and and and I
- 6:36feel that that that right now we're slowly you know making
- 6:41steps in the direction of what I want to be.
- 6:44What I want to go with this with this racing that you know I want
- 6:50to accomplish. To be able to win several races
- 6:54a year. To be able to be strong in the
- 6:56playoffs. Not just to make the playoffs,
- 6:57but to be strong in the playoffs and to be able to to have a real
- 7:01shot for the championship. Every single driver today will
- 7:03tell you that they want to go and win the championship, but
- 7:06but you really have to work and and and and organize your
- 7:08people, your team to be, to be real, a real contender.
- 7:14Steven Toronto. CBS Sports Daniel.
- 7:16Watching that finish, it made me think of a question that was
- 7:20once posed by a wise man and. Philosopher, I think.
- 7:23His name was Mike Joy, and I'll pose that question to you now.
- 7:27Have you ever, have you ever been a part of of a finish like
- 7:32that? No, definitely not.
- 7:35Definitely not. At that point.
- 7:38I was, you know, just trying to time the side draft on the
- 7:41eight. I didn't know where the 12 was.
- 7:43I couldn't see the 12. And I knew I thought that I had
- 7:47the eight. I knew it was close, but I have
- 7:49no idea about the 12. No idea.
- 7:52So you know, at that point I was just hoping I saw the tower and
- 7:57I thought I was first and they told me we got it, but then they
- 8:01we're on the review and said damn it.
- 8:04So, so yeah it's it's it's quite a, you know every time that you
- 8:07get to win races is special, but to be able to win it in this
- 8:10fashion this close with two other great drivers is is quite
- 8:14a special. I know that your first Xfinity
- 8:16one was pretty. Dramatic to last lap.
- 8:18Passion in Michigan. But you know what sticks out
- 8:21before this? What sticks out is the, you
- 8:23know, craziest finish that you were ever a part.
- 8:25Of in a race. That you won.
- 8:28I would say, I would say either Michigan or my championship race
- 8:35in Homestead. When I won the championship I
- 8:38had, I had a fast, a very fast car.
- 8:40We won the pole with the most laps, but we I had to win it.
- 8:44In the research, you know I had to restart.
- 8:47I think I restarted 5th and and I had to pass a couple cars to
- 8:52be able to to win the race and the championship with two or
- 8:56three laps to go. So.
- 8:59So to me that's obviously up there as well.
- 9:00You know I'm just a crazy finish but not, not not the actual last
- 9:04lap, but what I have to do to be able to put myself in that
- 9:07position at the very end. Gotcha.
- 9:09Thank you, Daniel. All right.
- 9:10Let's go to Jonathan. Jonathan Field, the racing
- 9:13experts, you know, Daniel, your careers had a lot of twists and
- 9:16turns and you talked about the people behind you.
- 9:19I mean, what does it mean to have, you know, just those
- 9:21people behind you who are committed to you?
- 9:24It's very special, man. It's, it's very special.
- 9:26Especially because you know, for, for, for a young kid coming
- 9:31from Mexico, without speaking English, without friends,
- 9:35without understanding the culture, a lot of people don't
- 9:39really understand, you know, you really have to come from a
- 9:43different place to understand what I had to go through to be
- 9:45able to get here. And I have to, I have to
- 9:48actually learn English by myself.
- 9:50I have to do a lot of things different, you know, and to be
- 9:53able to make it slowly, you know to build relationships to to
- 9:57have people help me. It was it was a journey, you
- 10:02know, it wasn't easy and today you know, I'm sitting here and
- 10:06and and and not really. I'm very, very lucky to be in
- 10:08this position be being the only guy in the cup series that can
- 10:12actually do an interview in Spanish is is quite a special to
- 10:15me. But the you need to get here.
- 10:18It has been difficult and it's been a long one.
- 10:20That's why I always tell people you know coming from Mexico or
- 10:23Latin America that they asked me for an advice and say hey man,
- 10:25you have to grind like it's it won't be easy.
- 10:28Not just because you are going to fight against great drivers
- 10:30just, but also because you have to fight the language.
- 10:33You have to fight the culture. You have to find the
- 10:35connections. You know, my mom, my dad, my the
- 10:37people that advise me every single day, they're not here.
- 10:40And I was very lucky that Gustavo Reino's back there.
- 10:42My American grandpa, he was here with me since I moved here and
- 10:46he, he took me under his wing. But if it wasn't for him
- 10:50probably I wouldn't be here today.
- 10:51So I got lucky in many different scenarios and and and it's it's
- 10:56a yearning you know and and to build your team and to
- 10:58understand why you have to do. When I won the championship,
- 11:01honestly I thought man this thing is easy.
- 11:03I got this. I'm going to go to a Cup series,
- 11:05I'm going to kill it. Well yes.
- 11:06But in the Cup Series, you are racing with the best drivers,
- 11:09with the best pickers, with the best mechanic, with the best
- 11:11cruise ships engineers. So it's not just all talent
- 11:14driver, no. In the Cup Series, every single
- 11:16driver is talented, every single driver is gifted.
- 11:19So you have to build a good team around you.
- 11:21And and I've been very fortunate that Tri House believing me
- 11:24since they won and they have supported me to build a team
- 11:27around me. All right, we're going to go to
- 11:29John Newby and then Matt Weaver. John Newby, NBC Sports.
- 11:33So is monitoring Ross's radio and a couple other teams, and I
- 11:36was surprised to hear. The comment that this race more
- 11:39like the. Old 550 package instead of a
- 11:41super Speedway. What was your perspective on
- 11:43that? Could be.
- 11:48I mean yeah a little bit I can, I can really remember everything
- 11:54about the 550 package. But yeah I feel I have I have a
- 11:56little bit of feel like this. I think that that the the new
- 11:59rules that we have in the in the in the Geo of the car for
- 12:03superspeedways I'm here in Atlanta actually helped the the
- 12:07race. I feel like we can get pushed a
- 12:09little better and we can be a little more aggressive.
- 12:12But yeah, he he felt a little bit like that.
- 12:13But without being say that the intensity of the pack when when
- 12:17we were you know in the top ten, top 15 running, I mean the car
- 12:22moves a lot, the car moves a lot.
- 12:24You don't have to be getting pushed to get a lot of lot of
- 12:27movement on the car. Like handling is extremely
- 12:28important. I would say that even more
- 12:31important than on a super Speedway like Daytona and
- 12:34Talaga. So as far as I remember with the
- 12:38550 package we had a little bit more more grip than this.
- 12:45So this, this, this race is definitely very unique.
- 12:47I think that everyone at NASCAR and they have done a great job
- 12:51you know putting a a race like this one because it's it's
- 12:55different he's not super Speedway, no man and a half.
- 12:58He's not a 550 package. He's a he's a real hybrid and
- 13:01and that really puts a a great show on track.
- 13:06I'm Matt Weaver. Sports not.
- 13:08I've got 2 for you, Daniel. I was struck by the number of
- 13:11people that just came to congratulate you in Victory Lane
- 13:14or even after the race. Talking to us in the media,
- 13:16everyone, even the guys that you beat, we're all very
- 13:19complimentary and super stoked for you.
- 13:21What does it mean to you that pretty much everyone in the
- 13:24garage kind of roots for you? It means a lot, you know It
- 13:27means a lot because most most of those guys, they know, you know
- 13:33how difficult it is to get here. You know how difficult it is to
- 13:36get to a Cup series. We're fighting with the best of
- 13:38the best and I really they also know and recognize that I have
- 13:41had a little different journey than most drivers and and you
- 13:45know I have a great relationship with Baba Wala with Ryan Blaney
- 13:49and and everyone, everyone that was racing against and then they
- 13:52came to Victor Lane. So all we have is is a mutual
- 13:57respect you know we we know how how good we are and we we love
- 14:01racing each other we love racing hard and and we also respect
- 14:06each other outside the racetrack.
- 14:08So, so yeah it's it's it's quite special it's it, it goes both
- 14:12ways the the the respect is mutual.
- 14:15And then your your spotter, Frankie Kimmel.
- 14:17How valuable and important is he not only to a race like this,
- 14:21but just in general working with him the last couple of years?
- 14:24Oh, it's very important. Frankie is one of the best
- 14:26supporters out there. There is a lot of good, talented
- 14:29supporters up in the roof and I can tell you that he's in the
- 14:33top five. He's a very, very good, talented
- 14:36young sporter. I remember like he was just
- 14:39ready a couple years ago. We gave him a shot.
- 14:41We went to Dover. It was his first race ever, I
- 14:45think, in the National Series and we finished in the top ten.
- 14:47And right away I knew that he was talented.
- 14:50Yeah, we needed a few tweaks here and there, but he was
- 14:52talented, he's natural and he's a race car driver.
- 14:54You know he loves this, he understands what we need to do.
- 14:57So him and I, we we we we we connect very well and and and I
- 15:05feel like especially in the last year or so I feel like our
- 15:08communication and our trust has got to to to the next level.
- 15:11There was one reset that he said man go to the top.
- 15:14We messed up you know we lost 10 positions.
- 15:17He said man sorry about that. It's part of it.
- 15:19You know we we make decisions sometimes are good sometimes are
- 15:21bad but at the end of the day we're not going to point fingers
- 15:24we're on this together. We win together and we lose
- 15:26together. So in that particular moment, he
- 15:28told me to go up. He thought it was the best
- 15:30thing. It wasn't, but that's part of
- 15:32it. And the same way that he helped
- 15:35me got to Victor Lane tonight. So he's part of it.
- 15:39Let's go to chrisknightchrisknightfriends.com.
- 15:42Daniel, Congrats on the win at some point during the race
- 15:45today, Todd Gillan said on his. Radio it's like.
- 15:48Going to a haunted house, you know, it's fun, but I'm scared
- 15:50for my life at the same time. It is, it is.
- 15:54Is that an accurate? Way to describe the.
- 15:55Racing out there today it was man, because you knew there was
- 15:59going to happen. Something.
- 16:00I mean everyone I I cannot explain to you guys.
- 16:02I hope that everyone at home and you guys were actually able to
- 16:06see how much booming our cars had.
- 16:08You know like the car we're not comfortable.
- 16:11I mean I don't think. I don't think there were many
- 16:15cars going what open beside the front row car like everyone was
- 16:18driving the cars. It was it was not easy not easy
- 16:21at all. This racetrack is fairly new and
- 16:24it already has some bumps so it wasn't easy but but it was great
- 16:29racing, you know it was great racing.
- 16:31I thought in the beginning of my race you know we we got wrecked
- 16:34in lap 2. Luckily the car didn't have a
- 16:36lot of damage. We fixed the car and the car
- 16:38wasn't great. You know we the front of the car
- 16:40wasn't great. The back of the car we have to
- 16:42we have to work on it and and that's where I give a lot of
- 16:45credit to to to squid my my cruise ship and my engineers
- 16:49Dusting and Troy that they they never give up.
- 16:52They they knew that the car wasn't 100% they had a little
- 16:55bit of repairs but they adjusting on it and they made
- 16:57they made the car one of the best out there when it counted
- 17:00the most. Let's go ahead and go to Jacob.
- 17:04Jacob's going race face digital. Daniel, congratulations and two
- 17:07for you. First, Justin was here earlier
- 17:11actually. I think you had just walked in
- 17:13when he was talking about kind of the culture that's been built
- 17:17at track house and he mentioned, you know, hard work and passion
- 17:20being two of the of the main things Your crew chief, Matt
- 17:23said, you know, talked so much about the work that you put in
- 17:26compared to some of the other drivers that he's worked with.
- 17:29What is it about the culture that Justin and Ty and everybody
- 17:33at Track House has built that has made this really the best
- 17:38home that I feel like you've had in the Cup Series?
- 17:41You're totally right This is the best home I have had in the Cup
- 17:44Series and and by a mile you know Josine Marks Stein Norris
- 17:51they believe in me since day one and and when they when they
- 17:57called me to join Trap House I was in the bottom.
- 18:01I wasn't the lowest of lowest of my career.
- 18:03I was strolling a lot I was losing confidence on myself and
- 18:07and they grabbed me and they pulled me back to what I knew at
- 18:11one point that I belong. And they knew that if they were
- 18:16able to give me a shot to to build a team around me they
- 18:19were. I was going to do something
- 18:21good. And and that's something that I
- 18:24I will be forever grateful to them.
- 18:25You know to to give me the opportunity to build a team
- 18:27around me because like I said, you know when you're fighting
- 18:30with the best of the best you have to have all the little
- 18:32things right. And and yeah, you know Matt he's
- 18:38a very, very passionate guy. Squid, my crew chief he likes to
- 18:41win. He likes to be competitive super
- 18:43smart guy. One of the smartest persons I
- 18:44know. And and and we work hard.
- 18:48You know at the end of the day you know we we come here on the
- 18:52weekends to execute. But the reason why we want today
- 18:56is not just because we execute right.
- 18:58It's for all the preparation that we do with we did during
- 19:00the week you know we did a lot of work.
- 19:03We do a lot of work. Matt Squid my crew chief.
- 19:06Frankie you know George wise optimization we do a lot of work
- 19:12to come here prepare and when you are prepared mentally you
- 19:17already feel like you are you are ahead and and that's that's
- 19:20something that is very important and and we've been working very
- 19:22hard to to to be prepared and and I honestly feel that when I
- 19:27was arriving here in Atlanta I feel like I was the most
- 19:30prepared driver out there and and if we can do that every week
- 19:34it's going to be a lot of fun we're going to win a lot of
- 19:36races. The smiles back on your face.
- 19:39I know, you know it was after Sonoma.
- 19:41You guys made the play the bit. The playoffs in 22 last year
- 19:45wasn't what you wanted. You know, That's been spoken of
- 19:47a good bit. You mentioned the confidence
- 19:50though, that they brought to you.
- 19:52Was there ever a point last year, even as you're fighting
- 19:55through a year, that wasn't what you wanted it to be?
- 19:58Was there a point that your confidence was shaking again or
- 20:01did you always feel like getting back here was was reasonable,
- 20:07was there? It was just kind of
- 20:09circumstances conspiring against you.
- 20:12You know we we raise every single weekend and and when when
- 20:15the results don't come yeah your confidence started lacking a
- 20:19little bit. You know the people that know me
- 20:22and they will tell you how confident I am like it's it's
- 20:25very difficult for me to actually lost to to lose trust
- 20:28on myself and and to actually lose everything that I know But
- 20:35it is a little bit you know it is a little when you don't win
- 20:37races for a year year and a half you're still losing a little bit
- 20:40of confidence like OK what do I have to do.
- 20:42I know I can drive. What do I have to do?
- 20:44What else do I need to do? And you know, you just have to
- 20:49keep grinding, man. You have to keep grinding.
- 20:50Believe in your team, believe in yourself, continue to work in
- 20:53that communication, continue to work on those little things.
- 20:57I came into this thing into this year and I and I, I had a
- 21:01conversation with Ty Norris. I had a conversation with Justin
- 21:04Marks with Cesar. Sorry.
- 21:05I know as well. And I told him we're going to
- 21:07win races this year. I can feel it.
- 21:10We're not even racing yet. I can already feel it.
- 21:12The the way that we're working, the way that we're preparing
- 21:15ourselves, It's OK. This is the this is the work
- 21:18that we have to do to be able to go out there and be efficient
- 21:23and fight for wins and championships.
- 21:25And if we can do it early, that would be amazing and what a
- 21:29better way to do the second rest of the season.
- 21:33Hey, over here, Ken Seguir, the Atlanta Journal Constitution.
- 21:36I'm curious on your journey here.
- 21:38You know, coming from Mexico, if you remember what was the the
- 21:41hardest part? No.
- 21:43No, thank you, brother. Thank you so much.
- 21:48All good. Anybody else?
- 21:52What was the hardest part? How close did you come to
- 21:55giving? Up and what?
- 21:56Kept you going. There were, there were so many
- 22:02different situations and like when I came here in 2011, I
- 22:06didn't have anything, You know, I couldn't speak English.
- 22:09I didn't have friends, I didn't have my family.
- 22:12I didn't have sponsors supporting me to say, OK, go out
- 22:16there and buy yourself a ride. I didn't have anything.
- 22:20And I will say that by far the most difficult years of my life
- 22:26and my career were 2011 and 12. Those dodges were very difficult
- 22:32because I was away from home. I I didn't have anything.
- 22:36I didn't even have money to actually rent an apartment in
- 22:38the beginning, like it was difficult times.
- 22:40But at the end of the day, you know all these difficult times
- 22:43is what makes you it, what makes me who I am today.
- 22:47You know a hard work person. I person that don't give up.
- 22:50A person is always grinding, a person that always good trying
- 22:53to get better. I'm a I'm a very I'm a very
- 22:58perfectionist person. You know like tonight, yeah, I'm
- 23:00very, very happy. We won't.
- 23:02We did everything that we need to do and tomorrow I guarantee
- 23:05I'm going to watch the race and I'm going to write down a few
- 23:07things I could have done better because I know that for next
- 23:11time that we come here if I do the same thing probably I won't
- 23:13won the race so I want to have to be better and everyone else
- 23:16is going to do the same thing. So that's the mentality that you
- 23:18have to have. You know you have to always
- 23:19continue to evolve and and I felt that my team is doing the
- 23:23same thing. We're on the same page.
- 23:26I'm hungry I want to win races I want to fight for championships
- 23:31and and I felt like my team and I try House and my sponsors we
- 23:34are all on the same page. All right we have one final
- 23:37question back there. Yeah, Daniel, Brad Harrison
- 23:40from. Frenchridge.com.
- 23:42You you guys came close to win here last July?
- 23:45With the weather and. Everything else, How much of A
- 23:47redemption is winning a close one here tonight?
- 23:50Yeah, it feels good. It feels good.
- 23:52Last time here we finished second and and I don't know if
- 23:55you guys know this but second socks, 2nd is not fun.
- 24:00It's not fun to know that actually sometimes third is
- 24:02better because at least you know that there were a couple guys
- 24:05ahead of you. But when you finish second and
- 24:07the guy finished first is celebrating is difficult.
- 24:10You know because you know that you were only one spot away.
- 24:13But but you know we we learn from that.
- 24:16We grow from that. And like I said, you know we
- 24:21have had fast race cars. I felt like last year we had an
- 24:23opportunity to win a few races, but I have mentioned this in the
- 24:28past, you know the the the strong teams, they they win 5-6
- 24:34races a year but they had they had opportunities to win 15
- 24:39races a year. You know if if I had three
- 24:42opportunities to win races, you know everything has to fail in
- 24:46part everything. The execution part has to go
- 24:48perfect to be able to, to to get it done, you know, so, so, so
- 24:51really you have to fast. If you want to win five races,
- 24:54you have to be in Plantation for 15 times at least, you know, to
- 24:57be able to. Everything fell in place so and
- 25:00that's that's what I told Matridorski squid the very first
- 25:03time we met and said man we have to I need more more
- 25:07opportunities out there. You know like if if if you have
- 25:10the fastest if you have the fastest car you know once a
- 25:13month we're going to win races. We're going to win races.
- 25:15But we have to do it as consistent as possible and and
- 25:18and and make our self make make make our team a habit to be
- 25:23strong and and to be upfront and and when we do that when we put
- 25:26the ground in the work you know I think I think we're going to
- 25:29be able to to hold our ourselves to a high to a high standard.
- 25:35We'll take one last question here with Lee Spencer.
- 25:41Lee Spencer. Catchfence.com Daniel.
- 25:43Ross was so happy for you in in Victory Lane and he was talking
- 25:47about how much you push him to be better, he says.
- 25:50You outwork him in the gym. You never.
- 25:52Gave up last year when times. Got tough and and that the two
- 25:55of you just end up you know it's like a friendly.
- 25:58Competition where you just. Push each other to be better.
- 26:02What does that mean? To have somebody that you can
- 26:04rely on and you know? Same age?
- 26:06Same. You know, work ethic and just
- 26:09push. You to be the best.
- 26:11You know if you if you guys actually think about it.
- 26:14Rose and I, we're very different.
- 26:16We're very different as as as people we're very different but
- 26:22we have a lot of similarities and and the biggest similarities
- 26:24that we have what I have found are a few.
- 26:27One is that nothing was given to him, you know, he had to work
- 26:32hard as well, just like I did. Different paths, different
- 26:36journeys, but we have to we both had to work hard from every
- 26:40single team that I have had in the past.
- 26:41Before Tri house, I was out working every single team I had.
- 26:46I knew I was working harder. I knew that I wanted things to
- 26:49happen. And and Ross, honestly he he
- 26:53worked hard. You know him and I, we we hold
- 26:56ourselves to a high standard not just training but in the studies
- 27:00that we do in the preparation that we do.
