Transcript
- 0:05Speaker 1: And you know what, I am not sorry to a
- 0:08Speaker 1: select few out there. I would like to think a
- 0:11Speaker 1: vast majority of grown adults who are responsible enough to
- 0:14Speaker 1: buy these things. It does not impede on other people's
- 0:19Speaker 1: days when they do.
- 0:20Speaker 2: So, why are you so upset about, Gabe?
- 0:24Speaker 1: You incredibly inconsiderate intellectual imbeciles. When you are at the
- 0:31Speaker 1: gas station and you are in line, okay, and you
- 0:35Speaker 1: buy yourself your scratch off tickets, that's great. I genuinely
- 0:38Speaker 1: hope you win a billion dollars. I truly want you
- 0:41Speaker 1: to win as much money as you can do me
- 0:44Speaker 1: a giant favor, though, Can you move three feet to
- 0:48Speaker 1: the right so I can buy my power aid and
- 0:50Speaker 1: get on out of there? When you scratch your scratch
- 0:53Speaker 1: offs right at the counter, blocking everyone's way from trying
- 0:58Speaker 1: to move on with their day, I.
- 1:00Speaker 2: Genuinely hope you never win anything again. You know why?
- 1:04Speaker 3: Move?
- 1:05Speaker 1: You are so right, get out of the way, Gabe.
- 1:11Speaker 3: I will die on that hill with you, because like,
- 1:14Speaker 3: why why are you doing this? Right?
- 1:16Speaker 1: There are other and there are other people trying to
- 1:19Speaker 1: get back to not necessarily me, but get back to work,
- 1:22Speaker 1: get to pick up their kid, get to whatever scoot
- 1:26Speaker 1: over three feet.
- 1:28Speaker 3: I'm almost impressed though, with their self unawareness. It's incredible,
- 1:33Speaker 3: because I get really anxious, like if I'm taking too
- 1:37Speaker 3: long to put my change in my wallet, I'm like
- 1:40Speaker 3: sweating and stressed out that I'm upsetting the people behind me.
- 1:44Speaker 2: Yeah.
- 1:45Speaker 3: I cannot imagine getting a scratch off ticket and being like, well,
- 1:50Speaker 3: here right now is the exact place where I'm gonna
- 1:52Speaker 3: try and see.
- 1:53Speaker 2: If I want anything.
- 1:54Speaker 3: And you know what's worse is like I feel like
- 1:56Speaker 3: the people who do it are never the people that
- 1:59Speaker 3: get even like this scratch offs or it's like three
- 2:01Speaker 3: little things and you're like, okay, I lost.
- 2:04Speaker 2: It's always like the bingo one.
- 2:06Speaker 1: Oh yeah, and then they're digging around trying to find
- 2:10Speaker 1: their lucky nickel for twenty seconds. It's just and I
- 2:15Speaker 1: will say I don't hate anybody. I probably shouldn't have
- 2:17Speaker 1: said that I don't hate anybody, but this really flirts
- 2:19Speaker 1: with it.
- 2:20Speaker 2: Yeah, you know what I'm saying, just move over.
- 2:22Speaker 1: I would do anything to be able to operate in
- 2:26Speaker 1: my life with the gall that these people have to
- 2:31Speaker 1: just sit there and block three four two whatever the
- 2:34Speaker 1: amount is, trying to go on with their.
- 2:37Speaker 3: Day if you are someone who does this, genuinely, I
- 2:41Speaker 3: want to know this the like the psyche behind this
- 2:43Speaker 3: seven one two eight one nine eighty seven. If you're
- 2:46Speaker 3: someone who does this, please call us because I need
- 2:48Speaker 3: to know why.
- 2:49Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 2:49Speaker 1: I get nervous when like the chip reader is taking
- 2:52Speaker 1: long for the people behind me.
- 2:54Speaker 5: Oh yeah, to sit there and scratch your little scratch offs.
- 2:59Speaker 5: It infuriates me to no end. I mean it really does, absolutely,
- 3:04Speaker 5: And I have worked. I'm trying to work on patients.
- 3:06Speaker 5: That is my New Year's resolution every single year, so
- 3:10Speaker 5: this would be a great test for that.
- 3:12Speaker 2: But I think this is.
- 3:13Speaker 1: The one time I'm allowed to just kind of be
- 3:16Speaker 1: irate silently behind you.
- 3:19Speaker 2: I will support you in that game, all right. Let
- 3:22Speaker 2: mean if you.
- 3:22Speaker 1: Feel the same, so one two eight zero seven.
- 3:32Speaker 3: And by the way, if you ever have a little
- 3:34Speaker 3: victory you want to share with us, please call us
- 3:37Speaker 3: seven o one two eight o one nine eight seven.
- 3:39Speaker 3: We are invested in your little victories. Uh my little victory, Gabe.
- 3:44Speaker 3: I feel like a real adult because I finally have
- 3:47Speaker 3: my real idea.
- 3:50Speaker 2: I went yesterday after work.
- 3:53Speaker 3: Big shout out to Don at the Department of Licensing.
- 3:57Speaker 3: I guess Don all right, Yeah, she made the process
- 4:00Speaker 3: was so easy. I was having trouble with the vision part.
- 4:03Speaker 3: Not that I can't see, but I have a lot
- 4:05Speaker 3: of hair, and so when I put my eyes in
- 4:08Speaker 3: the thing, it was like, Okay, tell me where you
- 4:11Speaker 3: see the lights flashing on the left or the right
- 4:13Speaker 3: or both.
- 4:14Speaker 2: And at one point I was like.
- 4:15Speaker 3: Nowhere, and she was like, I think you have to
- 4:17Speaker 3: pull your hair back so that you can tell. And
- 4:19Speaker 3: I was like, oh, okay, because gosh, that would be
- 4:22Speaker 3: awful if then it was like, no, you're blind by
- 4:25Speaker 3: you can't get no license for you.
- 4:27Speaker 5: Yeah.
- 4:28Speaker 3: But I think the coolest part is because I'm traveling
- 4:30Speaker 3: this weekend to take my kids to see their dad
- 4:33Speaker 3: for Father's Day, and so I needed a real ID
- 4:36Speaker 3: because I don't want to have like a long delay
- 4:38Speaker 3: or whatever.
- 4:39Speaker 2: They print you the ID just right there. Do you
- 4:42Speaker 2: know what a game changer that is?
- 4:44Speaker 3: Anytime I've ever gotten my license before, it was like
- 4:46Speaker 3: here's a piece of paper that you can use in
- 4:49Speaker 3: case you're pulled over, but we're gonna send it in
- 4:51Speaker 3: the mail. And so it was really nice to to
- 4:54Speaker 3: just get it. And I will say, not the worst
- 4:56Speaker 3: picture I've taken for a license photo. I don't look great,
- 5:01Speaker 3: but that just means I've definitely looked worse.
- 5:03Speaker 2: Well, isn't it kind of amazing?
- 5:04Speaker 1: You know we can put we can put monkeys on
- 5:07Speaker 1: the moon, We can print houses with three D printers.
- 5:11Speaker 1: You know, AI can basically take over every job there is.
- 5:15Speaker 1: But there are states that will not print an I
- 5:19Speaker 1: D right there. That is such an archaic system to me,
- 5:24Speaker 1: What do you mean you can't print me my ideas?
- 5:27Speaker 2: That will not here? Not here? We love that. All right, Well,
- 5:31Speaker 2: that's a wonderful little victory.
- 5:33Speaker 1: It's good to know all will be well if you
- 5:34Speaker 1: ever have to hop on a plane and you have
- 5:36Speaker 1: your up you're an official, you know, North Dakotin.
- 5:40Speaker 2: Yes, heck yeah, all right. Cool, Well, my little victory
- 5:43Speaker 2: is a little bit petty. Oh okay, I like that though.
- 5:46Speaker 1: So the cool part I ended up. I got a
- 5:48Speaker 1: brand new phone. I have a brand new phone with
- 5:50Speaker 1: me right now. This all happened yesterday. We, and by we,
- 5:54Speaker 1: my wife and I recently, very recently, i'd say about
- 5:57Speaker 1: two months ago, completely paid off our phone.
- 6:00Speaker 2: Oh I remember you telling me when you got the
- 6:02Speaker 2: little little factories.
- 6:04Speaker 1: Yeah, we completely paid off the phones all right. So
- 6:08Speaker 1: the next month happened and we got a bill and
- 6:10Speaker 1: we're like, oh, yeah, this should be it's not like
- 6:11Speaker 1: a ton of money, but you know, forty or fifty
- 6:14Speaker 1: bucks cheaper or whatever. Yeah, and it was not. It
- 6:17Speaker 1: was about the same. And you know, my wife called
- 6:21Speaker 1: I don't want to throw the service provider under the bus,
- 6:23Speaker 1: so she called the service provider and was like, hey, like,
- 6:27Speaker 1: we don't know anything on the phones and our bill
- 6:28Speaker 1: hasn't gone down.
- 6:29Speaker 2: What was up with that? And you know, they kind
- 6:32Speaker 2: of couldn't.
- 6:32Speaker 1: Figure it out and was like, okay, we'll just credit
- 6:34Speaker 1: it for the next month. It should go back to
- 6:37Speaker 1: normal or be even less because you get a credit
- 6:39Speaker 1: and you're not owing on the phone.
- 6:41Speaker 2: Yeah. So the next month happens, our bill was more
- 6:44Speaker 2: than the first month. Oh no, it went up. That's
- 6:49Speaker 2: weird and wrong.
- 6:50Speaker 1: Yes, And so you know, I'm sorry, but I'll give
- 6:54Speaker 1: you the one mistake when you're messing with my money,
- 6:57Speaker 1: I'll give you. I'll give you your one, but I'm not.
- 7:00Speaker 1: This isn't happening again. Yeah, I'm not doing this. So
- 7:04Speaker 1: we went and switched providers that day, Like that minute.
- 7:08Speaker 1: I went to switch canceled the whole thing. Got a
- 7:11Speaker 1: new phone provider, brand new phone, and we're gonna say
- 7:14Speaker 1: fifty bucks on our bill every month.
- 7:16Speaker 2: That's it's a phone.
- 7:18Speaker 1: That's very petty of me to say, I know, but
- 7:21Speaker 1: it was ridiculous.
- 7:22Speaker 2: No, I like it.
- 7:22Speaker 3: And it's not like it was your your friend who
- 7:25Speaker 3: you're not like, it's a corporation. They're fine, Yeah, they'll
- 7:29Speaker 3: be all right.
- 7:29Speaker 1: So either way, it was kind of nice. Now I
- 7:32Speaker 1: got a new phone. That's my little The story is
- 7:34Speaker 1: the little victory. The phone I don't really care about, you.
- 7:37Speaker 2: Know what, though, I'm a little bun that we can't
- 7:39Speaker 2: share chargers. Now, Nope, I got it. You know, I
- 7:41Speaker 2: got the USB C now to fancy for the game
- 7:48Speaker 2: I want to play. It's not necessarily a game.
- 7:51Speaker 1: But I got these messages or I saw these messages
- 7:54Speaker 1: on my Facebook yesterday. I had asked for these, okay,
- 7:57Speaker 1: to be a part of the show here today, and
- 7:59Speaker 1: I found some of the best ones. I want to know,
- 8:01Speaker 1: if you think these things are normal, or if you
- 8:04Speaker 1: hear anything that doesn't, that's that's a big nope.
- 8:06Speaker 2: Oh my gosh, I love judging.
- 8:07Speaker 1: Yeah, rightly, So if you are listening this morning and
- 8:12Speaker 1: you hear one of these and you're like, that's not normal,
- 8:14Speaker 1: or you hear one of them and go, yeah, I
- 8:16Speaker 1: do that. You can always text us seven oh one
- 8:19Speaker 1: two eight zero one nine eight seven.
- 8:21Speaker 2: All right.
- 8:22Speaker 1: This was from Denise, my Facebook friend Denise, who I
- 8:25Speaker 1: grew up with in Minneapolis. Denise says, I have no
- 8:30Speaker 1: idea how much money my fiance makes. We live together,
- 8:33Speaker 1: but keep our finances separate. He pays the rent and
- 8:37Speaker 1: utilities and we split everything else. We both have full
- 8:40Speaker 1: time jobs in mortgage business. That's where we met. My
- 8:44Speaker 1: friends say I should know before we get married, but
- 8:47Speaker 1: I say, don't fix it if it isn't broken.
- 8:49Speaker 2: Is that normal or nope?
- 8:51Speaker 3: Nope.
- 8:52Speaker 2: I want to know.
- 8:53Speaker 3: I want to know, Yeah, you want to I'm not
- 8:56Speaker 3: trying to get your money. I just want to know
- 8:58Speaker 3: what you're making so that in case, especially if you're
- 9:01Speaker 3: getting married. I feel like if you're getting married, you
- 9:03Speaker 3: should probably be privy to these things. I'm not saying
- 9:06Speaker 3: that you have to have a joint account.
- 9:08Speaker 2: I don't. That's not necessarily necessary.
- 9:12Speaker 3: Yeah, necessarily necessary, okay, redundant anyway, but I don't. I
- 9:17Speaker 3: don't think it's normal to not have any idea how
- 9:20Speaker 3: much your partner makes. I think that's weird. You know,
- 9:23Speaker 3: it's funny you don't know how much your wife makes.
- 9:25Speaker 2: I think I could like ballpark it. But you don't.
- 9:28Speaker 2: Actually no, no, not really No, why haven't you asked?
- 9:33Speaker 2: That's not you don't care. So here's what I would say.
- 9:36Speaker 1: Right, So, for Denise, like her fiance, he pays for
- 9:41Speaker 1: the what is it, the rent and the atilities. As
- 9:44Speaker 1: long as that's kind of covered for Denise, does it
- 9:46Speaker 1: really matter?
- 9:48Speaker 2: No?
- 9:48Speaker 1: I guess you're right. But also I could ballpark what
- 9:52Speaker 1: my wife makes. It's not like I have zero clue
- 9:54Speaker 1: at all. Right, I guess for me, I don't know exactly.
- 9:57Speaker 3: No, if my partner makes like a one wi old
- 10:00Speaker 3: amount of money more than me and we're splitting things.
- 10:04Speaker 2: Fifty yeah, that's that's true.
- 10:05Speaker 3: Then I'll feel weird because I feel like you should
- 10:09Speaker 3: pay like comparable to what percentage?
- 10:12Speaker 1: Yeah?
- 10:12Speaker 2: Yeah, yeah, yeah.
- 10:15Speaker 1: I think this is not super normal, but it's probably
- 10:19Speaker 1: more regular than we'd think.
- 10:21Speaker 2: Okay, you know what I'm saying. All right, I have
- 10:23Speaker 2: another one for you. This is from Nita.
- 10:25Speaker 1: She said, I say goodbye to my dog every day
- 10:29Speaker 1: before I leave for work, I also leave on the
- 10:33Speaker 1: radio it's you guys.
- 10:35Speaker 2: So you have some company? Is this normal or no?
- 10:39Speaker 2: To be honest, we need your help answering this question.
- 10:42Speaker 2: I think that that's perfectly normal, right.
- 10:46Speaker 3: I think it's perfectly normal, especially if U is her
- 10:49Speaker 3: dog a boy or a girl?
- 10:50Speaker 2: Do you know?
- 10:51Speaker 3: I don't all know because I was gonna say, good boy,
- 10:55Speaker 3: good good girl for listening.
- 10:57Speaker 2: Cory leaves the alexa on for our dog, does it?
- 11:01Speaker 2: I think this is cute.
- 11:02Speaker 3: Isn't there something that Corey does when she leaves your dog?
- 11:05Speaker 2: Does she say something to your dog?
- 11:07Speaker 1: Every single day she leaves the dog and says, I
- 11:10Speaker 1: love you, make good choices.
- 11:11Speaker 2: Well I'm gone. That's so I always see it on
- 11:13Speaker 2: the ring camp. That's normal. Both pets are family to them.
- 11:18Speaker 1: So yes, all right, this is my final one for you.
- 11:21Speaker 1: This is from Renee. Renee said, my boyfriend leaves a
- 11:24Speaker 1: pair of socks and underwear in his glove compartment in
- 11:29Speaker 1: his car. I don't know anyone who does this. I
- 11:32Speaker 1: don't think it's normal. What do you think, Angie? And
- 11:35Speaker 1: you know it's funny. I'm pretty good friends with Renee's boyfriend.
- 11:38Speaker 1: So I did know this about him.
- 11:40Speaker 2: I don't think it's normal, but I think it's okay.
- 11:45Speaker 2: I think, yeah, what if.
- 11:47Speaker 3: He, you know, unexpectedly enters a chili eating contest, that
- 11:52Speaker 3: extra pair underwear might come in handy. Father's Day is
- 12:04Speaker 3: coming up.
- 12:08Speaker 2: This Father's Day is coming up.
- 12:12Speaker 3: But for a lot of us, myself included, the father
- 12:16Speaker 3: of your child is your ex.
- 12:18Speaker 1: Okay, I wasn't exactly sure what we were doing here,
- 12:21Speaker 1: all right.
- 12:22Speaker 3: So the father of my children is my ex. I'm
- 12:26Speaker 3: flying my kids out there this weekend so they can
- 12:28Speaker 3: spend Father's Day with their dad.
- 12:31Speaker 2: And I have a lot of great.
- 12:33Speaker 3: Things that I can say about my ex.
- 12:35Speaker 2: We didn't work.
- 12:36Speaker 3: Out, but there are a lot of great things that
- 12:39Speaker 3: I could say about him, and I will in a moment.
- 12:43Speaker 2: However, it did get me.
- 12:44Speaker 3: Thinking, like, can you say something good about your ex?
- 12:48Speaker 3: So I posted to the big ninety eight points I'm
- 12:50Speaker 3: on Facebook page, say something nice about your ex if
- 12:54Speaker 3: you can, and we got a flood of messages. But
- 12:59Speaker 3: I do want to ask you first, Gabe. And I
- 13:02Speaker 3: know that you're happily married to your wife, Corey, and
- 13:05Speaker 3: I love her, so don't like ever ruined that Okay,
- 13:07Speaker 3: I like her and I want her to be my
- 13:09Speaker 3: friend forever. But is there something you can say about
- 13:12Speaker 3: an ex that's like nice?
- 13:14Speaker 2: I got nothing better? No, I'm just kidding. Which one
- 13:19Speaker 2: pick an ex and say a nice thing?
- 13:21Speaker 1: I don't know, Okay, I mean it has been a
- 13:24Speaker 1: while since I've had an ex. One of them very
- 13:27Speaker 1: good and compassionate and kind to like every animal animals
- 13:31Speaker 1: video is very very just nice. Okay, I like that
- 13:35Speaker 1: for my passionate to other humans, but there it is,
- 13:41Speaker 1: all animals.
- 13:42Speaker 2: It was great. I for my ex.
- 13:45Speaker 3: He's a great dad. The kids are obsessed with him.
- 13:49Speaker 3: They like him better than they like me. Truthfully, he's
- 13:52Speaker 3: He's more fun than I am. I zent as a
- 13:56Speaker 3: very fun lady. However, I'm a bit of a disciplinary.
- 14:00Speaker 1: You're the band mama. I'm not mean, but I have
- 14:02Speaker 1: to read I mean to them, you're like the mean mom.
- 14:05Speaker 1: Yeah that's true, Eily, You're just allowing them to grow
- 14:08Speaker 1: up to be well rounded humans.
- 14:10Speaker 3: Thank you exactly. But yeah, my ex is a great
- 14:13Speaker 3: dad to them. They're obsessed with him, and he's a really,
- 14:16Speaker 3: really hard worker. He is a really strong work ethic,
- 14:20Speaker 3: unlike any I've ever seen and I really respect that
- 14:23Speaker 3: about him. See, I could say nice things about my ex.
- 14:26Speaker 3: There were some people on Facebook who said nice things
- 14:30Speaker 3: about their exes in not the typical way, like I'm
- 14:34Speaker 3: glad that they're not here anymore, Like that's the nice thing,
- 14:38Speaker 3: the nice thing about their ex out of their life.
- 14:41Speaker 2: But there were some actually really sweet things.
- 14:44Speaker 3: Nicole said that her ex had a really good heart,
- 14:47Speaker 3: and that's a nice thing to say.
- 14:49Speaker 1: Yeah, I would want an ex to say that about me,
- 14:51Speaker 1: whether we worked out or not. At least they could say,
- 14:54Speaker 1: at my core, I'm a good guy exactly.
- 14:56Speaker 3: And our friend, oh, our friend Crystal. I love Crystal,
- 14:59Speaker 3: she said down he has a great heart, great friend,
- 15:02Speaker 3: horrible partner. Sometimes they just you don't work out together.
- 15:08Speaker 2: Yeah, and that's fine.
- 15:09Speaker 1: And as a as a unit, as a team, you
- 15:12Speaker 1: might be pulling in opposite directions. It's hard to move
- 15:14Speaker 1: the football down the field when you don't have eleven
- 15:15Speaker 1: people moving all at one.
- 15:17Speaker 3: You know, I appreciate a sports reference, I appreciate a
- 15:20Speaker 3: sports fun But for most people on here, and myself
- 15:25Speaker 3: kind of included, the biggest thing is like they gave
- 15:29Speaker 3: me my child, Like my ex is great because we
- 15:33Speaker 3: have kids together, right?
- 15:35Speaker 2: Why why are you giggling?
- 15:37Speaker 4: Game?
- 15:37Speaker 2: Nothing? I got nothing for you? All right, we do
- 15:41Speaker 2: have we.
- 15:42Speaker 1: Also don't forget seven oh one two eight zero one
- 15:44Speaker 1: to nine eight seven. You can give us a call,
- 15:46Speaker 1: by the way, if there is something you think you
- 15:47Speaker 1: can say kind about your ex. I see John on here.
- 15:51Speaker 1: I think John had something very nice to say. John
- 15:53Speaker 1: said had great kids, always respected each other, and walked
- 15:57Speaker 1: away as friends.
- 15:57Speaker 2: I'll take that as a win. I love that.
- 16:01Speaker 1: Yeah, that's fantastic. But we do have Damien on the
- 16:04Speaker 1: phone here, Angie. You want to hear a Damien asked
- 16:06Speaker 1: to say, Yes, what do you got Damien?
- 16:08Speaker 3: Oh? She was smart.
- 16:09Speaker 1: She always knew what she was talking about and always
- 16:11Speaker 1: had the upper hand in every conversation.
- 16:15Speaker 2: I'll get Damien.
- 16:17Speaker 3: Is there a tiny bit of I was with him
- 16:19Speaker 3: until he said that last part?
- 16:21Speaker 1: A little bit of shade at the end there. All right,
- 16:22Speaker 1: and we have another one from Marissa. Marissa, what about you?
- 16:26Speaker 4: Yeah, I'll give him this. He never lied about who
- 16:29Speaker 4: he was. I just thought I could handle it.
- 16:32Speaker 2: Okay.
- 16:33Speaker 3: See that's another little bit of a backhanded I think
- 16:36Speaker 3: the lesson is you can't really say something nice about
- 16:40Speaker 3: your ex and unless you can also add in the
- 16:42Speaker 3: thing you hate.
- 16:45Speaker 2: Exactly what I did earlier.
- 16:47Speaker 1: Yeah, well this might not be technically a real animal,
- 16:59Speaker 1: but they were pee horse bots. What are three words
- 17:05Speaker 1: I never thought I'd say in a sentence in my
- 17:07Speaker 1: life together, but they could be a thing. This is
- 17:10Speaker 1: actually a real study that has been put together that
- 17:14Speaker 1: I was a bit surprised about. And it got me thinking,
- 17:17Speaker 1: what does your pet do for you? If you have
- 17:20Speaker 1: a dog, a cat, a rabbit, a horse, what do
- 17:24Speaker 1: they do emotionally for you? Let us know this morning
- 17:27Speaker 1: at seven oh one two eight zero one to nine
- 17:29Speaker 1: eight seven. It turns out that horses honest nonverbal feedback
- 17:34Speaker 1: helps people develop emotional regulation skills, which is a dynamic
- 17:40Speaker 1: that researchers believe could be mimicked in therapeutic robot design.
- 17:46Speaker 1: So if we ever get to the point of like
- 17:48Speaker 1: AI therapy animals, it has been said that horses would
- 17:53Speaker 1: be should be the blueprint, not your dog, not your
- 17:56Speaker 1: you know, your rabbit whatever, Yeah, should be a horse.
- 18:00Speaker 3: Well, because I've heard of equine therapy, yep, exactly. I
- 18:04Speaker 3: get worried though that my horse would like just be
- 18:07Speaker 3: giving me the side ee I would feel like my
- 18:11Speaker 3: horse is judging.
- 18:12Speaker 2: She's too much for this. Let me get out back
- 18:15Speaker 2: to the pasture. All right, we'll see.
- 18:17Speaker 3: This is why you need an ai horse to do
- 18:20Speaker 3: the work for you.
- 18:21Speaker 2: So I don't have any pets, but you do. What
- 18:24Speaker 2: are your animals do for you? I have a few.
- 18:27Speaker 1: Now, the cats, I'll be honest, they're just kind of
- 18:29Speaker 1: annoying roommates.
- 18:30Speaker 2: I'm gonna call.
- 18:30Speaker 1: Spade a spade. I love them. I love my cats, Okay,
- 18:36Speaker 1: I don't love other cats. You know what I'm saying.
- 18:38Speaker 2: Fair so.
- 18:41Speaker 1: Children, Yeah, I learned to accept my cats for who
- 18:45Speaker 1: and what they are, hate them, love them at the
- 18:47Speaker 1: same time. Right now, the dog, that's kind of my dog,
- 18:50Speaker 1: you know that's that's obviously Corey's dog too, but that's
- 18:53Speaker 1: kind of my responsibility. I spend the most time with her.
- 18:56Speaker 1: I've trained her and all the stuff with that. I
- 18:59Speaker 1: don't know if she does anything for me emotionally, but
- 19:02Speaker 1: she is like my first friend in Fargo, if you
- 19:06Speaker 1: think about it.
- 19:07Speaker 2: Yeah, she does bring you joy.
- 19:09Speaker 1: Yeah, of course she brings me joy. I got a
- 19:11Speaker 1: buddy always do you emotional? Do you remember the other
- 19:14Speaker 1: day we were talking about like, oh, what do you
- 19:16Speaker 1: do with people who don't like you? Well, I got
- 19:18Speaker 1: married and now I kind of have one who also
- 19:20Speaker 1: doesn't like me. But at least I know she loves me. Yeah,
- 19:23Speaker 1: but my dog always likes me.
- 19:25Speaker 2: So there's two okay.
- 19:26Speaker 3: See, and that's like a self esteem booster. She does
- 19:29Speaker 3: a lot for you, emotionally gave it.
- 19:31Speaker 2: She don't. You didn't know how to wear it. She does.
- 19:34Speaker 1: I love my dog a ton, and she is just
- 19:37Speaker 1: always nice to just have a best friend around, you know.
- 19:40Speaker 1: It's it's sadly that old saying about your dog. You know,
- 19:43Speaker 1: if you lock him in the trunk of your car
- 19:46Speaker 1: and let him out an hour later, they're still happy
- 19:48Speaker 1: wagging their tail to see you. And if you threw
- 19:50Speaker 1: your wife in the trunk at your car and let
- 19:52Speaker 1: her out in an hour, she'd be coming out with
- 19:54Speaker 1: a brick trying to bash your head in kind of thing.
- 19:56Speaker 2: I think you just made up that same there's no
- 20:00Speaker 2: one hundred percent of saying one hundred percent. I think
- 20:02Speaker 2: it's original. I think it's like a meme or something. Okay,
- 20:06Speaker 2: but either way, yeah, it's just awesome.
- 20:08Speaker 1: You know, it's just const someone who is such a
- 20:11Speaker 1: love for life is my dog. She is so happy
- 20:15Speaker 1: to do anything, meet any person, meet any other animal.
- 20:20Speaker 1: She is just so thrilled all the time. And I
- 20:22Speaker 1: know I'm describing a lot of people's dogs, and so
- 20:24Speaker 1: I try to emulate a little bit of that from Winona.
- 20:26Speaker 1: That's what I've learned from my dog is just you know,
- 20:29Speaker 1: you can be excited to just go on a walk.
- 20:32Speaker 1: Life can be exciting. It's as exciting as you make it.
- 20:35Speaker 1: So that's kind of what my dog does for me.
- 20:37Speaker 3: Not that.
- 20:37Speaker 1: Yeah, I want to know, once again, what does your
- 20:39Speaker 1: dog do for you, whether it's emotionally or it supports
- 20:42Speaker 1: you or whatever. Seven oh one two eight zero one
- 20:45Speaker 1: nine eight seven Zach, what about you, dude?
- 20:47Speaker 3: So I talk to my.
- 20:48Speaker 1: Cat all the time.
- 20:49Speaker 5: He helps me get everything out of my system and
- 20:51Speaker 5: off my chest.
- 20:52Speaker 2: And he's a really good listener, you know. And that's
- 20:54Speaker 2: that's all.
- 20:55Speaker 5: I need a person or a cat in this case,
- 20:57Speaker 5: to just listen.
- 20:58Speaker 1: It's so true. You ever just needed event venture, little
- 21:01Speaker 1: a little heart out.
- 21:02Speaker 3: Yeah, and I can't do that with my kids. That's inappropriate. Oh,
- 21:05Speaker 3: I really do need a pet.
- 21:07Speaker 1: Your pet best secret keeper in the world. Worst at
- 21:11Speaker 1: the same time, but also the best. All right, what
- 21:14Speaker 1: about you, Leanna.
- 21:15Speaker 4: My dog doesn't fix anything, but she anchors me, like
- 21:19Speaker 4: I'll be spiraling about life and she'll just nudge me
- 21:22Speaker 4: with her gross little toy, like, hey, remember me, I exist,
- 21:25Speaker 4: let's go outside, And somehow that's enough to reset my brain.
- 21:29Speaker 2: That's so true, that's so true, so true. Yeah, Oh
- 21:33Speaker 2: my gosh, I hope my kids aren't listening. They're gonna
- 21:35Speaker 2: want to pass immediately. Sorry, Edgie.
- 21:44Speaker 1: The good news, well, you potentially have been hearing good
- 21:48Speaker 1: chunks of this throughout the day. But just in case
- 21:51Speaker 1: you didn't know, it is pool season. Nay, the summer
- 21:56Speaker 1: season is in full swing, and now we hear in
- 22:00Speaker 1: Fargo or the FM area in general, we'll have access
- 22:03Speaker 1: to public pools to beat the heat.
- 22:06Speaker 2: It is summer.
- 22:07Speaker 1: And I know there are parents who said, thank goodness,
- 22:10Speaker 1: this could not have come at a.
- 22:11Speaker 2: Better time, because I don't know what I'm gonna do
- 22:13Speaker 2: with these kids. I am one of those parents.
- 22:15Speaker 3: And luckily there's a pool like right where we live,
- 22:18Speaker 3: where we live in so we could walk to it
- 22:20Speaker 3: if we wanted to. So I am very excited for this.
- 22:24Speaker 3: My kiddles are excited for this. Yes, it's time to
- 22:26Speaker 3: tire them out at the pool and then give them
- 22:29Speaker 3: ham sandwiches and chips and have them take a nap.
- 22:31Speaker 2: I'm very before Fargo Parks pools.
- 22:35Speaker 1: They open as of yesterday, Davies Pool, Madison Pool and
- 22:38Speaker 1: Splash bad Roger g Gress, north Side Pool and then
- 22:43Speaker 1: Southwest Reckpool. Now for those of you wondering about the
- 22:47Speaker 1: new Island Park pool that's located at sixteen or excuse me,
- 22:51Speaker 1: six sixteen First Avenue South, that will be opening mid June.
- 22:55Speaker 2: So it's right around the corner.
- 22:56Speaker 1: It's almost mid June now, so pretty much, you know,
- 22:58Speaker 1: any day or any week i'd say coming up here,
- 23:00Speaker 1: but pool season is here. I tell you what I
- 23:03Speaker 1: grew up. We were pool kids growing up in Minneapolis.
- 23:06Speaker 1: You kind of you build so many memories in middle
- 23:08Speaker 1: school going to the pool, you know, elementary school, all
- 23:11Speaker 1: the time spent for us. It would have been the
- 23:13Speaker 1: Crystal Pool. And then they built a skate park out front.
- 23:17Speaker 1: And I tell you what I mean, we lived at
- 23:19Speaker 1: that thing.
- 23:19Speaker 3: I can just picture little Gabe, little pre pubescent Gabe
- 23:24Speaker 3: running around.
- 23:25Speaker 1: Yeah, oh yeah, fall every I was. Once again, we've
- 23:29Speaker 1: learned a lot today. My lack of patients, which is
- 23:32Speaker 1: always my New Year's resolution. I'm gonna work on patients
- 23:35Speaker 1: this year, But I was always trying to get to
- 23:36Speaker 1: the slider, get to the high diver, or get to
- 23:38Speaker 1: the diving board. Every time I went anywhere the lifeguard.
- 23:41Speaker 1: You could just hear plays walk sir or now running
- 23:47Speaker 1: yelled at on the megaphone all the time. But pool
- 23:49Speaker 1: season is here. We hope you enjoy it and have
- 23:52Speaker 1: a great summer, especially for the kiddos. The world's full
- 23:55Speaker 1: of nice people. If you can't find one, you gotta
- 23:57Speaker 1: be one.
