Gibraltar’s Public Services Ombudsman has renewed calls for legislative reform to strengthen her office’s ability to protect the most vulnerable in society. In her first Annual Report since taking up the post, Wendy Cumming has urged the government to grant her office “own-motion” powers - the ability to launch investigations without waiting for a formal complaint.
