- 2:59news, doctors at Shriners Children's Boston are
- 3:03urging families to avoid microwaving gel -filled
- 3:06fidget toys, as this trend is causing an alarming
- 3:09number of severe burns. In the last six months,
- 3:14at least one patient per week has been treated
- 3:16for burns linked to this practice, which often
- 3:19affects the face, neck, and hands. The hospital's
- 3:23associate surgeon, Colleen Ryan, warned that
- 3:26just 15 seconds in the microwave can heat the
- 3:29gel inside to dangerous temperatures, leading
- 3:32to explosions of hot gel. Nurse practitioner
- 3:36Jillian Pasciucco hatted that children are also
- 3:39at risk if the toys are left outside in warm
- 3:43temperatures or in hot cars. Now on to sports.
- 3:52Kaitlyn Clark and Kelsey Mitchell led the Indiana
- 3:55Fever to their fourth straight win, defeating
- 3:58the Seattle Storm 95 -85 at Climate Pledge Arena
- 4:03on Tuesday. The Fever improved to 18 wins and
- 4:0710 losses, while the Storm fell to 6 wins and
- 4:1124 losses. Indiana outscored Seattle in the first
- 4:15quarter, 37 -20. Clark scored 32 points and provided
- 4:217 assists. while Mitchell added 28 points. The

- 4:27to score 100 points in four consecutive games.
- 4:32They lead the Women's National Basketball Association
- 4:35in scoring with 95 .8 points per game. In local
- 4:40sports, the Red Sox came up short in Oakland
- 4:43last night, dropping game two four to three and
- 4:47evening the series at one apiece. Conor Wong
- 4:50went deep with two RBIs to lead Boston's offense,
- 4:54but Jake Bennett couldn't lock it down on the
- 4:57mound. Tonight they got a chance to take control
- 5:00of the series. Patrick Sandoval starts for the
- 5:04Sox against Oakland's Jacob Lopes at 9 .40 p
- 5:07.m. Boston's been solid of late, sitting 7 -3
- 5:12over their last 10, and they're fighting to stay
- 5:14relevant in the AL East at 55 -51. They'll need
- 5:20to bounce back quick if they want to build any
- 5:22momentum heading forward. Meanwhile, the Patriots
- 5:25are working through contract talks with cornerback
- 5:28Christian Gonzalez. New England's offering him
- 5:32$33 million a year to make him the highest paid
- 5:35corner in the league and the richest player in
- 5:38franchise history. Gonzalez wants to keep things
- 5:42quiet, but he's staying focused at training camp.
- 5:46Drake May's impressed with his commitment. calling
- 5:49him the best corner in football. And over at
- 5:52Boston College, the Eagles are losing tight end
- 5:56Kalin Chudzinski for the season. The freshman
- 6:00standout tore his Achilles and won't return until
- 6:03next year. That's a major blow to an offense
- 6:06trying to bounce back from a two -wind 2025.
- 6:11In top news, American Airlines has lifted a national
- 6:15ground stop after a system outage. The airline

- 7:18wrote in a letter to the Commodity Futures Trading
- 7:21Commission on Monday that the agency does not
- 7:24have the power to regulate sports -related event
- 7:27contracts on prediction market platforms. The
- 7:30letter was sent as the public comment period
- 7:32for the Commodity Futures Trading Commission's
- 7:35first proposed rule on prediction market regulation
- 7:38expired Monday evening. The measure primarily
- 7:42focuses on exchanges' sports offerings. The coalition,
- 7:46led by Ohio Attorney General Andy Wilson, stated
- 7:49that the proposed rule exceeds the commission's
- 7:52statutory powers. They urged the commission to
- 7:55clarify that sports vets and gambling are subject
- 7:58to state law. In crypto movement, Bitcoin is

- 9:16also hacked multiple third -party accounts and
- 9:18services during the attack. This unprecedented

- 9:29latest artificial intelligence models. An updated
- 9:33blog post revealed that four accounts linked
- 9:35to publicly available services were compromised
- 9:39as part of the hacking effort. OpenAI did not
- 9:43specify which companies were affected, but stated
- 9:45they were not impacted at the same level of severity
- 9:49as Huckingface. Huckingface's forensic team concluded
- 9:53that OpenAI's agent attempted to cheat on a benchmarking
- 9:57test, seeking answers stored on its servers.
- 10:03And in entertainment news, Ted Lasso encouraged
- 10:07everyone to believe, and against all odds, it
- 10:10worked. Co -creator and star Jason Sudeikis claimed
- 10:14that the series would conclude after three seasons,
- 10:17but the Apple television series is coming back

- 10:51folks, it's time for the quote of the day. And
- 10:55today, our quote comes from the American environmentalist
- 10:58and author John Muir. And he said, The clearest
- 11:03way into the universe is through a forest wilderness.
