- 0:01Speaker 1: Hello and welcome back to Empowered Soul with Nicole.
- 0:04Speaker 1: Today I want to talk about how everybody has access to tap into the spiritual world, and I know there's a lot of gatekeeping.
- 0:15Speaker 1: There's a lot of misconceptions out there about who has the ability to tap in and hear our departed loved ones and connect to spirit guides, connect to your team, your angels, and I just want to really talk about it and break down a lot of the misconceptions about how this is a quote unquote gift and how only certain people are allowed to access this information, because it's absolutely not true.
- 0:42Speaker 1: And in this episode, I want to also talk about how easy it is to learn how to do this.
- 0:48Speaker 1: And then what do you do with it once you've learned how to tap into the other side?
- 0:54Speaker 1: Because I think, knowing that your departed loved ones, your angels, your guides, knowing that they're out there and watching out for you and they want to support you and guide you on this amazing journey of life, it's a game changer.
- 1:11Speaker 1: It's such a game changer for living this I'm going to be honest very difficult experience that has a ton of up and downs.
- 1:22Speaker 1: It's a roller coaster out here.
- 1:24Speaker 1: There's good days, there's bad days, there's days when you've been blindsided by something happening in your life that you never expected, and to know that there's a bigger picture to all of this and to know that they are with you every single step of the way and guiding you towards wherever you're trying to go, regardless of what hurdles come in the way, it really changes your entire world, your entire perspective.
- 1:55Speaker 1: When you know that it's not just you living in the muck every single day and I have to be honest that this is oh, I hope my kids never listen to this this is by far the most rewarding thing that I have done for myself.
- 2:12Speaker 1: I'm going to say it that way learning to tap into the spiritual world.
- 2:17Speaker 1: It's like it opened up this whole Pandora's box in a very good way for me and allowed me to really see life from a whole different perspective.
- 2:27Speaker 1: And it really changed me from this negative, short-sighted, pessimistic, always kind of grumpy and angry attitude into who I've become today, and helping me really embrace that we're not here to have a perfect life, we're not here to do everything right, we're here to learn.
- 2:49Speaker 1: And realizing again that there's that bigger picture out there for me really helped put everything into perspective for me and helped me realize where my values are and what I should be focusing on instead of what I was focusing on, which was completely the wrong thing.
- 3:05Speaker 1: So this has been a complete game changer for me and I really want everyone else to know that they have access to the same information and you can also change your life by being able to tap in to the spiritual realms.
- 3:22Speaker 1: So let's get into the meat of it and talk about a little bit how there's gatekeeping in the spiritual community and also how there's this misperception about this being a gift, being able to connect to the other side being a gift.
- 3:36Speaker 1: Because, number one, it looks like a gift, right, it looks like a gift because the people that you see doing this work, they are experts in the field.
- 3:44Speaker 1: They have put in the time, they have put in the effort.
- 3:48Speaker 1: They may or may not have seen spirit as a child, I don't know.
- 3:52Speaker 1: We're going to go down that rabbit hole in a moment, but either way, they've been able to realize that they can tap in and they've worked very hard to be able to understand.
- 4:04Speaker 1: I'm going to call like the spiritual communication, just because it's different than us, right, we have voice boxes, we have expressions on our face, we exist in the physical space.
- 4:14Speaker 1: So communication at this level obviously something we're used to.
- 4:17Speaker 1: But learning how to communicate to spirit is like learning another language that you have no idea what it is right.
- 4:23Speaker 1: So they have just done the work to learn the language of spirit over and over and over again, so that they are consistent and accurate and able to relay messages clearly, concisely, in a way that resonates with their clients.
- 4:40Speaker 1: But these are the experts, right?
- 4:42Speaker 1: They have been doing it for many, many, many years.
- 4:44Speaker 1: So when you look at them, when you look at Tyler Henry, teresa Caputo, john Holland, john Edward, they are, you know, the creme de la creme, because they put in the work and you, naturally, are going to look at them and think, wow, that's a gift.
- 4:59Speaker 1: Right, they're the Michael Jordan of the spiritual world, of mediumship.
- 5:03Speaker 1: Right, I know I left a couple of names.
- 5:06Speaker 1: You expected me to say sorry, but I do want to say that it's not a gift and I love that.
- 5:14Speaker 1: My brain jumped to basketball, because it always jumps to basketball.
- 5:17Speaker 1: I have no idea why, but this is where it's probably my number one sport growing up, so naturally it's there, right, probably my number one sport growing up, so naturally it's there, right.
- 5:27Speaker 1: But it's just like basketball or soccer or football or whatever sport.
- 5:29Speaker 1: Whatever talent you have, everyone can learn the basics of it.
- 5:33Speaker 1: But over time and with practice, that's when you get good at it and that's when you turn into Michael Jordan and that's when you turn into Kevin Garnett I can't remember all the basketball names LeBron James, right?
- 5:47Speaker 1: Like, that's when you turn.
- 5:49Speaker 1: Really good is when you put in the hard work and you're doing it for hours and hours and hours every day, and you're facing every single obstacle, every single opportunity, and you don't take challenges, as I'm not meant to do this.
- 5:59Speaker 1: You take challenges as I'm going to work hard to overcome this obstacle and get better than I was before.
- 6:14Speaker 1: And that is the difference between hard work and talent, because people can be naturally I'm going to say more talented in this work because you do, as we talked about, have people that see spirit as a child, right, you do have people that are naturally just more tuned into the spiritual world, those people who get the insights and the nuggets of gold out of nowhere, with no training, right?
- 6:30Speaker 1: So there are those I'm going to say naturally quote, unquote gifted people that are more adept to this type of work.
- 6:40Speaker 1: But if you don't take that natural talent and put in the hard work, you're not going to be anywhere.
- 6:47Speaker 1: Good, right, that's just.
- 6:49Speaker 1: You need to practice, you need to understand energy, you need to understand the spirit of the language of spirit right, consistently, accurately, in order to be at the level of the top performers of this field, just like every other career, right, like every other role.
- 7:06Speaker 1: Top talented person across any industry.
- 7:10Speaker 1: So I guess that's my point is that you are going to naturally have more talented people that can access things a little bit quicker than other people.
- 7:24Speaker 1: But it doesn't mean that if you didn't see spirit as a child, if you don't very easily tap into spirit the first time you have a class, it doesn't mean you're not able to do this.
- 7:34Speaker 1: It just means you have to work a little bit harder.
- 7:36Speaker 1: But again, hard work can outdo talent any time, any day.
- 7:42Speaker 1: And this is something I tell my kids all the time, like I don't care that you naturally didn't know how to shoot a shot on the basket.
- 7:49Speaker 1: If you're practicing, then you're going to get good and then you're going to be better at the kids who are good but lazy.
- 7:54Speaker 1: Right, hard work people.
- 7:56Speaker 1: This is my motto in life.
- 7:57Speaker 1: This is why I overcome things, because I just don't stop, I don't quit.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I'm like a dog with a bone.
- 8:10Speaker 1: I don't quit.
- 8:10Speaker 1: So, um, so, that's my, my whole spiel.
- 8:11Speaker 1: And and you're going to find people on social media that gatekeep this and say you can't do this.
- 8:14Speaker 1: You're like, you're not tapped in.
- 8:16Speaker 1: You didn't see spirit as a child.
- 8:17Speaker 1: You can't do this, and you know what those people are.
- 8:19Speaker 1: They're people that have giant spiritual egos that they need to stroke, because they need to feel that they're important and that they're special and that they're better than everybody else.
- 8:28Speaker 1: And those are your red flags to run.
- 8:31Speaker 1: Those are not the people that you want to learn from, because they are never going to want you to be better than them.
- 8:36Speaker 1: And if you have a teacher that's like that, that says I'm amazing, you're never going to be as good as me, you're never going to be as talented as me, and you get into class with them and they constantly put you down or give you gotchas or tell you everything that you're doing wrong, without trying to teach you how to do it right.
- 8:59Speaker 1: Those are the teachers you want to run from, because those are the spiritual egos that I warn people about that are only out for themselves and to lift themselves up by making other people look bad and by pushing them down.
- 9:13Speaker 1: So I digress there.
- 9:14Speaker 1: But watch out for the spiritual gatekeepers.
- 9:18Speaker 1: They're real and, as you know, there's no gatekeepers in anything ever.
- 9:23Speaker 1: So once you see those people, you just got to blow right past them.
- 9:29Speaker 1: So let me get to how you learn to connect with spirit, and I have to be honest that I do some classes, right, I teach some beginners mediumship classes.
- 9:46Speaker 1: I call it Talking to the Dead 101.
- 9:48Speaker 1: It's starting pretty soon.
- 9:49Speaker 1: But really, how you connect to spirit is you just need to find a teacher that can teach you the basics and then you will be off and running, because it is not rocket science how to connect to the other side.
- 10:03Speaker 1: But what is so cool is once you learn the mechanics of it and the how to of it oh, excuse me, I have a frog in my throat, my goodness, excuse me and once you are able to understand those mechanics of it and learn like the step-by-step process and how to connect to the spiritual world, what is so cool is you can actually use the same spiritual communication modality to kind of tap into everything.
- 10:31Speaker 1: And I say I'm going to pause for a second before I go forward.
- 10:35Speaker 1: I say that you want to work with a teacher because it's just easier, you're going to get there faster.
- 10:44Speaker 1: So I I told her you know, I told you that I started eight with an eight week class.
- 10:49Speaker 1: When I started mediumship my teacher was good.
- 10:52Speaker 1: Um, she taught me the mechanics.
- 10:53Speaker 1: But again, a little bit of what I discussed earlier was true where I knew I couldn't stay.
- 10:59Speaker 1: So instead I eventually went to self-taught.
- 11:04Speaker 1: So I started reading all the books.
- 11:05Speaker 1: I kept taking like plucking classes here and there and just taking some random classes here and there.
- 11:10Speaker 1: I did a lot of practice circles.
- 11:12Speaker 1: There were a couple teachers there that kind of guided a little bit, but they weren't necessarily the best or nicest teachers and I'm mostly self-taught.
- 11:20Speaker 1: And what's really funny is that as soon as I found my mentor, which was Hannah McIntyre at, she's now a friend.
- 11:29Speaker 1: I guess that's why that's past tense Hannah McIntyre at Mediumship Mounders Podcast.
- 11:33Speaker 1: Once I found her as a mentor I was very, very far along in my development but she was able to essentially fix like the small tweaks that I should have learned at the very beginning and to help me understand the mechanics of because I could do it, but I didn't really understand the why or like the how behind it, or like how these things worked, or why did this work, or why did it look this way when I expected it to look this way?
- 11:58Speaker 1: Why do I keep seeing my own things in my own head or referencing, you know, my own grandmother's house, like it just didn't make sense to me and she was able to kind of piece together the underlying foundation that I missed by trying to learn everything on my own.
- 12:11Speaker 1: So that's why I say you want to go with a good teacher that teaches you the foundation, because otherwise you're going to be like me, you're going to be two years into this missing basic beginner information and then, once it all comes together and it clicks, oh man, unstoppable, right, unstoppable, because then you know everything about it, you know all the foundation, you know why you're getting things wrong, where you're getting things wrong and how to fix it, and that's the core essence of knowing what the foundation of the spiritual communication is.
- 12:41Speaker 1: So make sure you're working with a teacher who can work with you in small circles or one-on-one that can really teach you these things or point things out to you, so that you know exactly what you're doing.
- 12:52Speaker 1: So you're off on the right foot because you don't want to be way down the path and be on the wrong foot.
- 12:58Speaker 1: So when I'm talking about spiritual communication, it's essentially learning how you receive the energy from spirit, how you personally interpret the energy from spirit, because everybody takes and interprets that energy different from spirit.
- 13:11Speaker 1: So which clairs are you a little bit stronger in?
- 13:13Speaker 1: It doesn't mean that you're going to stay there, but how do you typically receive the first bits of information?
- 13:18Speaker 1: What does it feel like when you receive that bits of information?
- 13:21Speaker 1: How do you take that information and kind of relay that to your sitter?
- 13:26Speaker 1: What's that experience look like?
- 13:27Speaker 1: So, once you learn those foundational components of how do you actually receive information, what's the basic language of spirit?
- 13:34Speaker 1: You can take that and you can turn that into psychic readings, you can turn that into a mediumship readings, you can turn it into Akashic readings.
- 13:43Speaker 1: Like you like healing, you'll get messages during healing because it all comes in the same way.
- 13:47Speaker 1: And I think that's the most interesting thing about the whole class structure and this is why I kind of struggle with my own classes because it's all just spiritual communication.
- 13:58Speaker 1: Then which frequency do you want to tap into, what do you want to do with it, and that's all about intention.
- 14:03Speaker 1: So once you learn the basics, you can decide what frequency you want to tap into Like which dial on the radio do you want to use and then move into that frequency, that station, so that you can get the information that you want.
- 14:18Speaker 1: And it sounds so basic and it really is so basic and you and it's just practice, practice, practice to get really really good at it.
- 14:27Speaker 1: So that's kind of what I teach in a lot of my classes is how do you connect?
- 14:32Speaker 1: And I I recommend people start.
- 14:35Speaker 1: For me, I started with mediumship.
- 14:37Speaker 1: I found it to be very helpful because starting with mediumship allowed me to check and validate the information I was receiving from spirit in a very black and white way your grandmother's dead or she's not dead.
- 14:52Speaker 1: Your grandmother died in her eighties or she didn't die in her eighties.
- 14:55Speaker 1: She died of lung cancer or she didn't die of lung cancer.
- 14:57Speaker 1: So for me, having this very black and white, evidential based modality to start with allowed me to very clearly get the information and know what I was getting wrong and where I was getting it wrong, and trying to increase the accuracy of that.
- 15:13Speaker 1: So once I was able to bring in information and have evidence that backed up yeah, I'm not crazy, yeah, I'm talking to spirit, yes, I'm accurate in that Then I felt comfortable moving to the other modalities, like psychic work, like Akashic records, because it was such a good foundation for me and it provide that evidence, that data that a skeptic like me needed to move on to the other modalities and feel more confident in it.
- 15:35Speaker 1: So that's kind of how I recommend folks start in general, and then what's interesting is what you do with it once you learn it, because there is the full gamut here you can go from.
- 15:50Speaker 1: I took the class.
- 15:51Speaker 1: It was a really fun hobby.
- 15:52Speaker 1: I'm now going to go on to my next hobby and do something else, which is totally fine.
- 15:56Speaker 1: I think of it as just like a little tool that you'll have in your tool belt.
- 15:59Speaker 1: I have other people that learn the basics but just want to kind of use it as a way to connect to their own spiritual team so that they can kind of integrate a little bit more spiritual side into their life every day.
- 16:12Speaker 1: Can they get a little bit more guidance every day?
- 16:14Speaker 1: Do they know how to tap in when they need advice or feedback so that they can use their spiritual team to help them weigh in on decisions they're making, you know, small or big, on a day-to-day or just a milestone basis.
- 16:26Speaker 1: And then I have other people that want to do this work part-time, so they keep their day job and then they do part-time and they do readings on the side, make a little bit of extra money who doesn't love that?
- 16:36Speaker 1: And then you have people that want to really go head on in this, work this full time, quit their job and do this full time, right.
- 16:44Speaker 1: So it really is the gamut of what you want to do with it and I don't think there's a right answer right, it needs to be.
- 16:50Speaker 1: The right answer for you is with whatever you want to do with this.
- 16:56Speaker 1: But who doesn't?
- 16:57Speaker 1: But if this is something that you're passionate about and something that keeps drawing your attention, I have to say there's a reason for that.
- 17:06Speaker 1: So if you are like drawn in and you keep hearing mediumship and you keep hearing repeated things about how, I want to learn how to do this, I want to learn how to do psychic readings, I want to learn how to tap in, receive advice, receive feedback from my loved ones and my guides.
- 17:20Speaker 1: I think it's a great place to start and there's no accidents in that you keep receiving the information.
- 17:26Speaker 1: It's probably your little nudge from spirit that that's the direction that you need to go, so I'm going to put that out there.
- 17:32Speaker 1: I will say that some caveats I guess some asterisks with this episode is if you're looking to just get the information for yourself, I think that's good, but you need to start being able to read other people first, because you're not going to know how the information comes in or how your body interprets the energy, or even how you know that you're not crazy until you start reading other people.
- 18:01Speaker 1: So I will say that notoriously it is very difficult to read for yourself in this work.
- 18:08Speaker 1: So you have to kind of keep that in mind when you're taking these classes, that it's not going to be just about you.
- 18:14Speaker 1: Those beginner classes will be about you reading other people and reading for other people again to get you to understand the language of the communication, and then you can start kind of bringing it in.
- 18:25Speaker 1: And how do I get the information myself?
- 18:27Speaker 1: How do I get this?
- 18:29Speaker 1: But be aware that even me and my spiritual team we talk all the time, but when it comes to like big decisions that I want to weigh in on, I always go third party.
- 18:38Speaker 1: I always go to an additional reader just to be like could you just what are you getting from this?
- 18:45Speaker 1: This is what I'm getting, but I just want to validate that you're kind of getting a similar thing before I make this big decision.
- 18:49Speaker 1: So I totally admit that, um, that it's very hard to read for yourself.
- 18:54Speaker 1: So you have to be in this to help other people too, okay, um, but yeah, I would say it has been my most exciting and rewarding journey, being able to not only know that my loved ones and my angels and guides are with me every single day, helping me on the other side, but being able to help other people is just so amazing for me.
- 19:18Speaker 1: And helping people on their journeys, helping them realize that their spirit world is real and that they have cheerleaders helping them and watching over them every single day and I started the episode with it.
- 19:46Speaker 1: But this is by far the most rewarding thing I will probably do in my life for me personally, so that I can help other people, and it it makes my soul happy to do this work people and it it makes my soul happy to do this work.
- 20:03Speaker 1: So, um, here's my little plug.
- 20:04Speaker 1: If you're interested in learning mediumship, I do have a class coming up.
- 20:07Speaker 1: It starts on November 11th.
- 20:09Speaker 1: You can actually go right on my website, um, mediumnicolecom, and I think it says learn with Nicole, and you can actually go on there and read the reviews from the last class that I had, which was my essentially my pilot class.
- 20:23Speaker 1: I wanted to run the curriculum by a group, a small group of ladies.
- 20:31Speaker 1: I ended up having 13 women sign up.
- 20:32Speaker 1: It was a big group, which was awesome, and what's so cool is all 13 walked away with being able to read mediumship.
- 20:42Speaker 1: So it was such an amazing class.
- 20:45Speaker 1: So you can go right on my website.
- 20:47Speaker 1: You can see what we talk about in there, uh, which is essentially, I give you the basics of.
- 20:51Speaker 1: You know why you shouldn't be afraid what's, what's up with the clairs, how did the clairs come in?
- 20:55Speaker 1: I'll talk about how do we connect, how do we receive evidence, how do we receive messages, how do you kind's come in?
- 21:01Speaker 1: I'll talk about how do we connect, how do we receive evidence, how do we receive messages, how do you kind of bring that together in an end to end um sitting with the clients so that you know how to handle clients, or practice sitters at least.
- 21:09Speaker 1: And then I talk about troubleshooting, how to deal with no's as well as how to um what you do with this once you're done, what do you do with it?
- 21:18Speaker 1: So if you're interested in taking this class, I highly recommend you go out to the website, go check out the Beginner's Mediation class.
- 21:24Speaker 1: Read through it, make sure it's something that you want to do.
- 21:26Speaker 1: I have a huge list of FAQs on there.
- 21:28Speaker 1: I have testimonials out there on the folks that did take the class before and, by the way, everyone freaking loved it.
- 21:35Speaker 1: I mean, I'm not bragging, it's actually a fact.
- 21:43Speaker 1: People loved this class, loved this class, and even as I post things, you might see a couple of students posting on my things about how great the class was, cause I know I've seen a couple of them do it so far.
- 21:47Speaker 1: So if you are interested in learning mediumship, now is the time.
- 21:50Speaker 1: I don't want to know when I'm going to run the next one.
- 21:52Speaker 1: It'll probably be sometime in the new year.
- 21:54Speaker 1: It'll probably be during the day instead of nighttime, just because I would like to get my nights back a little bit.
- 21:59Speaker 1: But if you're interested in learning how to do evidential mediumship.
- 22:03Speaker 1: I would love to see you there.
- 22:05Speaker 1: All right, that's it.
- 22:05Speaker 1: That's that's the end of my sales pitch, but I just want to thank all of you for listening and I hope this was helpful for a lot of you, and I hope that, if you've been on the fence about whether you're able to do this spiritual work or connect to the spirit world, I hope this gives you the push that you needed to realize that everyone is talented, everyone is gifted, everyone has the right to connect to the spirit world and I hope that everyone does, because it is such amazing and rewarding work.
- 22:31Speaker 1: All right, that's all I had today.
- 22:34Speaker 1: Thank you all so much.
- 22:35Speaker 1: I hope you all have a wonderful day.
- 22:37Speaker 1: Take care.
