- 0:00Speaker 1: All right, 4.06 in the afternoon, NewsRadio 570, Dodie KVN.
- 0:03Speaker 1: We're on verb 67 degrees, and you're on the air.
- 0:06Speaker 2: Hello.
- 0:07Speaker 3: Well, I've got to play down it. We had an
- 0:11Speaker 3: Elvis guy there a couple hours today, and I think
- 0:16Speaker 3: they're going to bring it home tonight. I have a
- 0:19Speaker 3: feeling the Cavaliers.
- 0:22Speaker 2: You have a feeling?
- 0:23Speaker 3: I mean, I've got hopes that they can do it.
- 0:26Speaker 3: If they don't win tonight, I think they'll win tomorrow.
- 0:30Speaker 3: They'll win on Sunday. But I think they can do
- 0:32Speaker 3: it tonight.
- 0:33Speaker 4: They're playing at home.
- 0:34Speaker 3: Then they go far in the tournament. That's my prediction.
- 0:38Speaker 5: I don't know.
- 0:40Speaker 2: So Dick from Dayton is going with the Cavs.
- 0:45Speaker 4: Yep.
- 0:45Speaker 2: All right. Thank you. Our official sports prognosticator. You're on
- 0:50Speaker 2: the air.
- 0:53Speaker 6: What do you think, Ron, when you hear the... Polls
- 1:03Speaker 6: say 40% of young people think communism is okay. 62%
- 1:08Speaker 6: of Democrats think socialism is okay. What do you think
- 1:14Speaker 6: when you hear those figures like that?
- 1:16Speaker 1: If they're accurate, I find it to be deeply troubling
- 1:20Speaker 1: that anybody would think that.
- 1:22Speaker 2: It hasn't worked. It will not work.
- 1:24Speaker 1: I find it deeply troubling because I think we're becoming
- 1:27Speaker 1: a nation of wusses. Listen, I think people are getting
- 1:30Speaker 1: further and further away from what a great country this is,
- 1:32Speaker 1: and that means you have personal freedom and personal responsibility.
- 1:37Speaker 1: And I think there's many people that just want to
- 1:38Speaker 1: sit on their arse, do nothing, and think they're owed
- 1:41Speaker 1: a paycheck or think they're owed a particular lifestyle without
- 1:45Speaker 1: putting any effort or work to achieve it. And it
- 1:49Speaker 1: doesn't work. It doesn't work elsewhere. It isn't going to
- 1:52Speaker 1: work here. And I get sick and tired of.
- 1:57Speaker 7: It.
- 1:57Speaker 1: Capitalism is what has changed so many of people's lives
- 2:02Speaker 1: in this great country of ours.
- 2:03Speaker 6: For the better.
- 2:06Speaker 5: Yes.
- 2:08Speaker 4: And then I.
- 2:11Speaker 6: Guess people don't want to debate or have a disagreement,
- 2:15Speaker 6: but if you have somebody saying, well, the only reason
- 2:19Speaker 6: Emmanuel gets beat up is because he's a person of color. Well,
- 2:23Speaker 6: thanks for bringing Marxism into the argument, and there's the
- 2:28Speaker 6: oppressors and the.
- 2:29Speaker 4: Oppressed, right?
- 2:30Speaker 1: Right.
- 2:31Speaker 6: And that's what they, the communists, wanted to do 75
- 2:37Speaker 6: years ago to take down America and its capitalism, is
- 2:41Speaker 6: have this fight about race. And the other thing... is
- 2:48Speaker 6: the transgenders after the gay marriage. Look, we're so far
- 2:54Speaker 6: beyond caring that you're gay. Nobody cares. Nobody cares that
- 3:00Speaker 6: so long ago, why are you even bringing it up? Oh,
- 3:04Speaker 6: because you people want to molest children. That's why. And
- 3:10Speaker 6: we break down the family. Black Lives Matter says we're
- 3:14Speaker 6: trained Marxist and we're going to deconstruct the nuclear family.
- 3:19Speaker 6: So two of your previous callers, one is saying everything's
- 3:25Speaker 6: about race. It's not. Nobody cares. We disagree with what
- 3:31Speaker 6: Emanuel's bringing to the table politically. Nobody cares what color
- 3:35Speaker 6: he is except you people. And then the other guy,
- 3:39Speaker 6: China's great. China's wonderful. I don't care that there's forced
- 3:43Speaker 6: organ harvesting. I don't care about the Uyghurs. I don't
- 3:47Speaker 6: care about Tiananmen Square. It's like, it's like tampon pins.
- 3:51Speaker 6: Your grandfather's talking to us. We win free trade, free trade.
- 3:55Speaker 6: It's not free dummy. That's what the establishment, that's what
- 3:59Speaker 6: Mitt Romney, that's what Mitch McConnell. Oh, did I just
- 4:02Speaker 6: mention two Republicans?
- 4:04Speaker 4: Oh, George Bush.
- 4:06Speaker 6: Oh, all of them? Yeah, the establishment, Democrat or Republican,
- 4:11Speaker 6: ruined America. Ruined America with their so-called pre-trade, which never was.
- 4:17Speaker 6: Trump's the only one who's been talking about it forever.
- 4:22Speaker 6: Because he saw what was happening to America. And other
- 4:27Speaker 6: people don't care and just go free trade. But I
- 4:31Speaker 6: think Ron agreed with Pat Buchanan. I think Ron agreed
- 4:35Speaker 6: with H. Ross Perot. Because we watched it happen. Everything
- 4:40Speaker 6: they said happened. We don't want it to happen anymore. People,
- 4:47Speaker 6: what did your grandpa say? Oh, China's a country of savers.
- 4:55Speaker 6: They don't save anything.
- 4:57Speaker 4: It's slave labor.
- 4:58Speaker 6: What are you talking about? They're a country of savers.
- 5:01Speaker 6: They don't have any money. They don't get any money.
- 5:05Speaker 6: They're jumping off of buildings. If they're not in a
- 5:09Speaker 6: concentration camp or getting mowed down in Tiananmen Square. And
- 5:17Speaker 6: then we wonder why people think communism, socialism is OK.
- 5:21Speaker 2: Well, I don't listen. I like I say, I don't
- 5:25Speaker 2: understand the.
- 5:28Speaker 1: Support for it, whether that's in New York City, because really,
- 5:31Speaker 1: I mean, Bernie Sanders pushes that socialistic, communistic agenda, and
- 5:36Speaker 1: you have a lot of people that follow it. You
- 5:38Speaker 1: have people with Mondami in New York City, and you
- 5:44Speaker 1: have people pushing this, thinking the answer is we shouldn't
- 5:48Speaker 1: have personal responsibility. We shouldn't have I mean, when do
- 5:53Speaker 1: we push the reality you're born in a country? We
- 5:56Speaker 1: have our problems, granted, but you're born in a country
- 5:59Speaker 1: where you have freedom. You can get in your car
- 6:01Speaker 1: and you can leave Ohio and drive to Florida tonight.
- 6:04Speaker 2: And no one's going to stop you.
- 6:07Speaker 1: You can get in your car and you can drive
- 6:08Speaker 1: to Pennsylvania if you're in Ohio or whatever. You have
- 6:11Speaker 1: the freedom to travel in this country. You have the
- 6:14Speaker 1: ability to do what you want with your life. As
- 6:18Speaker 1: I said, if you want to go to college and
- 6:20Speaker 1: you have good grades, you can get a scholarship. If
- 6:22Speaker 1: you're good at sports, you can get a scholarship and
- 6:25Speaker 1: go for free. You can join the ROTC and you
- 6:28Speaker 1: can get money and go for free. There's so many
- 6:32Speaker 1: options for people if you're seeking a college education to
- 6:35Speaker 1: get a degree in a field that'll make you a
- 6:39Speaker 1: decent living, whether you want to become nurse or a
- 6:42Speaker 1: nurse practitioner a nurse anesthetist where you can make substantial
- 6:47Speaker 1: money you want to become a doctor you want to
- 6:49Speaker 1: go you want to forget all of that you want
- 6:51Speaker 1: to go to trade the trades and you'll make a
- 6:54Speaker 1: good living here in this country there's so many opportunities
- 6:57Speaker 1: for people today even in these difficult times there's so
- 7:01Speaker 1: many opportunities for people to go and improve their lives
- 7:06Speaker 1: all it takes is some effort that's all it's ever
- 7:09Speaker 1: taken and It's easier today than it's ever been. I
- 7:12Speaker 1: hear everybody talking about AI and all this kind of stuff. Listen,
- 7:16Speaker 1: as I go back to say, when I was a
- 7:18Speaker 1: young man, it would be difficult to get into the trades.
- 7:20Speaker 1: You had to know somebody. Today they're begging for people
- 7:23Speaker 1: to get into the trades. Today they're begging for police officers.
- 7:26Speaker 1: It used to be difficult to become a police officer,
- 7:29Speaker 1: and hundreds would show up to take the test for
- 7:32Speaker 1: one opening. So younger people today have great opportunities in
- 7:37Speaker 1: many fields that when I was a young man, You
- 7:40Speaker 1: had a hard time getting into the post office or
- 7:42Speaker 1: the police department or the trades or getting in General Motors. Yeah,
- 7:47Speaker 1: getting in General Motors if you didn't know somebody. But today,
- 7:50Speaker 1: that's all different. You can get into all of these
- 7:53Speaker 1: places relatively easily where you can make a decent living
- 7:57Speaker 1: if you have a work ethic, if you put the
- 8:01Speaker 1: effort forth. if you have a work ethic, if you
- 8:04Speaker 1: can stay off of drugs, if you have the ability
- 8:07Speaker 1: to learn a trade or a skill and put some
- 8:10Speaker 1: effort in. That's what capitalism has done for so many people.
- 8:14Speaker 1: And from that, you can own a beautiful home.
- 8:17Speaker 2: You can go out to eat.
- 8:19Speaker 1: You can have a wonderful life in this country if
- 8:23Speaker 1: you decide to do it. I don't know why so
- 8:25Speaker 1: many people according to the surveys, you say, think that
- 8:29Speaker 1: it's my responsibility to take care of them or that
- 8:32Speaker 1: they'd be better off under some type of communism where
- 8:35Speaker 1: you don't have any personal property. You don't own anything.
- 8:39Speaker 1: And the government tells you about everything. To me, they
- 8:41Speaker 1: are nothing but lazy people who want stuff given to
- 8:44Speaker 1: them who don't want to put any effort forth. And
- 8:47Speaker 1: I say to you, just many people in this country
- 8:49Speaker 1: need a good swift kick in the ass to be
- 8:51Speaker 1: told how good the country still is. And if they
- 8:54Speaker 1: need to put some effort into it, to make something
- 8:57Speaker 1: of their life. And if they're not willing to put
- 9:00Speaker 1: the effort into it, then often you get failure. But
- 9:03Speaker 1: don't blame me for that. Blame yourself for that because
- 9:07Speaker 1: you didn't put any effort forth. It was just too
- 9:10Speaker 1: hard or whatever your excuse might be. There's no excuse
- 9:14Speaker 1: to drop out of high school. The dropout rate for
- 9:17Speaker 1: high school should be zero. It's the least we can
- 9:20Speaker 1: expect of people in this country is to finish high school.
- 9:24Speaker 1: And any parent that allows their student to drop out
- 9:26Speaker 1: of high school is a fool. And if you don't
- 9:29Speaker 1: like what you're doing in high school, go to vocational
- 9:31Speaker 1: school where you can learn a skill of trade. and
- 9:34Speaker 1: be able to make a living in that fashion. There's
- 9:36Speaker 1: so many options for you. You don't have to go
- 9:39Speaker 1: to college. It's not for everybody. It can be difficult,
- 9:43Speaker 1: but maybe you have no desire to go to law
- 9:45Speaker 1: school or be an engineer or whatever you would get
- 9:48Speaker 1: as far as your college degree. But if you decide
- 9:50Speaker 1: to go to college and get some stupid degree and
- 9:53Speaker 1: get a lot of debt, then you're going to be
- 9:56Speaker 1: burdened with that all of your life. So every decision
- 9:59Speaker 1: you make has consequences. So if you say, oh, I'm
- 10:02Speaker 1: going to go to college, get a liberal arts degree, well,
- 10:04Speaker 1: I don't have the money to go to college. Then
- 10:06Speaker 1: the sad answer is you can't afford to go if
- 10:08Speaker 1: you don't get any of those scholarships. Then you better
- 10:11Speaker 1: figure it out.
- 10:11Speaker 6: Here's the thing today. Just like you were saying, you
- 10:15Speaker 6: can work at the Starbucks for 20 hours a week,
- 10:20Speaker 6: and they'll pay for your college. My nephew has been
- 10:26Speaker 6: working for UPS for six months. He just turned 20
- 10:32Speaker 6: years old. They just accepted him into the program where
- 10:36Speaker 6: they will pay for him to work and go to school.
- 10:41Speaker 6: And in, I don't know what it is, 19 months
- 10:45Speaker 6: or something, he's an airframe and power plant mechanic. He's
- 10:49Speaker 6: a heavy jet mechanic. He already works for UPS. That
- 10:53Speaker 6: means his ticket's already punched. All he has to do
- 10:57Speaker 6: is do what they ask him to do to get
- 11:00Speaker 6: his license. They're paying for his education, and then they're
- 11:04Speaker 6: going to pay him oodles of money when he's done.
- 11:07Speaker 6: He's a 20-year-old kid. They have everything today.
- 11:13Speaker 1: But he's got to put some effort forth, and many
- 11:15Speaker 1: people don't want to put any. effort forth because it's
- 11:18Speaker 1: just it's just too hard we're begging for people to
- 11:22Speaker 1: go into the medical field listen if you want if
- 11:25Speaker 1: you want to make more money you want to do
- 11:27Speaker 1: more with your life then maybe you should become a
- 11:29Speaker 1: nurse maybe you should become a nurse anesthetist there's so
- 11:33Speaker 1: many things that that you can do with your life
- 11:35Speaker 1: if you choose to do it But if you choose
- 11:38Speaker 1: to say, I just want to watch TV. I want
- 11:41Speaker 1: to listen to the music. I want to go out
- 11:44Speaker 1: and drink and smoke pot and all this kind of stuff. Well,
- 11:48Speaker 1: don't blame me for your lot in life. And don't
- 11:50Speaker 1: expect me to have to pay for your lot in life.
- 11:53Speaker 1: We've made it far too easy in this country for
- 11:56Speaker 1: too many people to sit on their ass and do nothing.
- 11:59Speaker 1: Absolutely nothing. Now, as I've said, I always got to
- 12:02Speaker 1: put a comma there. I have no problem with people
- 12:04Speaker 1: collecting unemployment because it means they were employed and lost
- 12:07Speaker 1: their job. I have no problem with people collecting Social
- 12:10Speaker 1: Security because it meant they paid in all their life
- 12:13Speaker 1: and now they're older and they can enjoy their retirement.
- 12:16Speaker 1: I have no problem with people getting retirements from the
- 12:19Speaker 1: military or police or fire. That's all well and good
- 12:22Speaker 1: because you've earned all of that. But those are earned things.
- 12:26Speaker 1: I'm just saying we make it too easy for people
- 12:28Speaker 1: to sit down without any consequences to the mistakes they
- 12:32Speaker 1: make and to be able to survive. And I think
- 12:35Speaker 1: that until you change that dynamic, the great society of
- 12:40Speaker 1: Lyndon Johnson has been a great failure. And the Democrats
- 12:43Speaker 1: keep wanting to expand that. We want to just continue
- 12:46Speaker 1: to give people more money for nothing. Oh, we want
- 12:50Speaker 1: to have reparations. But you were never a slave. And
- 12:53Speaker 1: the slave owners are dead and gone. This is ridiculous.
- 12:58Speaker 1: Absolutely ridiculous. Well, wait a minute. What about my health care? Well, okay,
- 13:03Speaker 1: what about your health care? As I say a million times,
- 13:06Speaker 1: don't you think as you get older, my father covered
- 13:09Speaker 1: it when I became an adult? Get a job that
- 13:11Speaker 1: has health care or go buy it. Those are your choices.
- 13:14Speaker 1: It's called growing up. It's not up to me to
- 13:17Speaker 1: provide you with health care or to sit on your
- 13:19Speaker 1: ass and collect Medicaid.
- 13:21Speaker 2: Figure it out.
- 13:25Speaker 6: Because a daughter and a niece worked at the Starbucks,
- 13:29Speaker 6: and I was amazed. I kept having them tell me
- 13:32Speaker 6: more and more that they're giving people. They're handing it out.
- 13:37Speaker 6: They're begging you to come there and take their free college,
- 13:40Speaker 6: their health. I had Cadillac, Keenster, Giant Eagle Healthcare. Cadillac plan.
- 13:49Speaker 6: And Starbucks is better. I've never met anybody who had
- 13:53Speaker 6: better health care than I did. They have it at
- 13:56Speaker 6: Starbucks for nothing. And they're begging people. And we won't
- 14:00Speaker 6: do it. So you're right. We have to shut down
- 14:02Speaker 6: the paying for people to sit on their bus. We
- 14:05Speaker 6: have to shut down paying for the illegal aliens. Sorry, Frank.
- 14:09Speaker 6: I don't know.
- 14:11Speaker 2: It's just nothing. We're paying people to do nothing. Everything
- 14:15Speaker 2: has been..
- 14:16Speaker 6: Ronald Reagan said it. You can't pay people to do nothing.
- 14:20Speaker 3: Right.
- 14:22Speaker 1: I mean, failure should be a motivator. I'm not saying hunger, but...
- 14:28Speaker 1: At what point do you correct your decisions that you
- 14:31Speaker 1: are making? And quite frankly, I even see it in
- 14:34Speaker 1: our judicial system. We're far too soft on violent criminals,
- 14:38Speaker 1: on violent criminals. Many of these people shouldn't be out
- 14:41Speaker 1: and they commit other crimes when they're out. We are
- 14:44Speaker 1: far too easy on violent criminals without just saying, okay,
- 14:49Speaker 1: you're going to be punished and we're going to make
- 14:51Speaker 1: sure you don't hurt anybody else. And I see it
- 14:54Speaker 1: happening in the judicial system. We've become way too soft.
- 14:59Speaker 1: Why don't you see a lot of crime over in
- 15:02Speaker 1: the UAE? Well, you can put your wallet on a
- 15:05Speaker 1: table and it's going to be there when you come back.
- 15:08Speaker 1: Because if you pick it up and steal it, guess what?
- 15:10Speaker 1: They're going to cut your hand off, right?
- 15:12Speaker 6: What are they going to do in China?
- 15:15Speaker 8: Right.
- 15:15Speaker 6: It might not be cutting your hand off. It might
- 15:17Speaker 6: be taking an organ out that your leader needs. Right.
- 15:21Speaker 1: I mean, and you mentioned this. You mentioned a slave
- 15:24Speaker 1: labor as well.
- 15:25Speaker 2: Well stated. Appreciate it. Thank you.
- 15:29Speaker 1: Back after this news radio 570 WKVN. 570 WKVN. And
- 15:35Speaker 1: Ron Furp from the Kingdom of Mahoney at 425 here.
- 15:39Speaker 1: On a Friday, May 15th, it's 67 degrees. It's going
- 15:42Speaker 1: to be close to 90 on Monday. I mean, what
- 15:44Speaker 1: a big difference it's going to be. You're on the air.
- 15:47Speaker 4: Hey, what's up? What's up, Ron? Boy, what a show
- 15:51Speaker 4: you had. I was trying to listen. I was trying
- 15:53Speaker 4: to get on. I called at 3.
- 15:55Speaker 2: I know.
- 15:56Speaker 4: What time is it now? 425. Yeah. I had a
- 15:59Speaker 4: look at Frank from Fort Lauderdale. JJ, oh, my God,
- 16:03Speaker 4: he wrapped his shorts way too tight today. I mean,
- 16:07Speaker 4: he was saying everybody's name, and we were– criticizing him.
- 16:10Speaker 4: And I'm like, I don't know where he's coming from.
- 16:12Speaker 4: And then I thought, Oh my God, I think he's
- 16:14Speaker 4: having a nervous breakdown. So anyhow, and then of course, uh, uh,
- 16:19Speaker 4: we are a conservative Ted, the conservative. And then, and then, uh,
- 16:24Speaker 4: and then our, our baseball guy, you know, that says about, um,
- 16:28Speaker 4: or sports guy about the calves and good, good. I'm
- 16:31Speaker 4: glad he's got these predictions. He's a good guy. He
- 16:33Speaker 4: sounds like a really good person.
- 16:35Speaker 1: He's always a, he's always in a good mood. He's
- 16:37Speaker 1: always upbeat, but, uh, He runs hot and cold. But
- 16:42Speaker 1: he's our official sports prognosticator.
- 16:44Speaker 4: I wouldn't use him to bet with. That's all. You
- 16:46Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 16:47Speaker 2: Yeah, that's probably good advice.
- 16:49Speaker 4: Yeah, you know, and people are complaining about the..
- 16:52Speaker 2: But I'm going to say this when you talk about that.
- 16:57Speaker 2: Are you ready? I find J.J. the liberal.
- 16:59Speaker 1: I find him interesting. I find Ted the conservative absolutely fascinating.
- 17:04Speaker 1: I find Frank's take on things controversial enough but unique in, in,
- 17:12Speaker 1: in many ways. And, uh, Jake is always an excellent caller. And, uh,
- 17:19Speaker 1: I'm trying to think of, uh, if you're, if you're
- 17:23Speaker 1: asking me, was I pleased with the first hour and
- 17:25Speaker 1: a half? My answer is absolutely.
- 17:27Speaker 2: Yes.
- 17:27Speaker 1: I thought, I mean, I, I was very, very, um,
- 17:31Speaker 1: into their, into their conversation and then, and then Bubba Ganoush.
- 17:38Speaker 2: Okay.
- 17:40Speaker 4: Yeah. Like I said, I've been listening, you know.
- 17:43Speaker 2: You're listening. We're talking. Never mind.
- 17:46Speaker 4: We're talking. You're listening on 570 WKVN. I love that. Okay.
- 17:53Speaker 7: Yeah.
- 17:53Speaker 3: All right.
- 17:54Speaker 4: But you're listening now, and I'm talking.
- 17:56Speaker 6: Yes.
- 17:57Speaker 4: So a couple things. I got up early to watch the,
- 18:02Speaker 4: you know, Trump having dinner. At that time, it was
- 18:05Speaker 4: 6 o'clock a.m. my time. And the speeches that both
- 18:10Speaker 4: leaders had were phenomenal. It was great. He even said,
- 18:13Speaker 4: make America great again. Then the media comes on after that,
- 18:18Speaker 4: talking about Taiwan and all this crap, and that we're
- 18:20Speaker 4: going to go to war with China over Taiwan. And
- 18:23Speaker 4: I'm thinking, that's depressing. And I said, why do they
- 18:26Speaker 4: got to destroy such a good thing? People say, well,
- 18:30Speaker 4: you don't trust them. Well, you don't trust anybody.
- 18:32Speaker 6: Anybody.
- 18:33Speaker 2: Anybody.
- 18:34Speaker 4: You know what I mean? Well, God says don't put
- 18:36Speaker 4: your trust in anybody but God. So anyhow, I got
- 18:40Speaker 4: a little bit down about that. Then all of a
- 18:42Speaker 4: sudden I got to thinking about, you know, the tribe
- 18:45Speaker 4: sweeping the L.A. Angels. But listen, that team, you go
- 18:50Speaker 4: look at their record, okay? They're having problems themselves. But
- 18:54Speaker 4: like I said, we swept them. Now we're going to
- 18:56Speaker 4: play Tito tonight.
- 18:58Speaker 1: Yeah, stand by for a second. Back with Bubba Ganoush. Yeah,
- 19:02Speaker 1: we played the Reds tonight. NewsRadio 570, WKBN and Ron Ferb,
- 19:05Speaker 1: back in a bit.
- 19:06Speaker 2: NewsRadio 570, WKBN. WKBN.
- 19:13Speaker 1: Now, Ron Ferb on NewsRadio 570, WKBN.
- 19:19Speaker 2: That was played in your honor, Bubba Ganoush.
- 19:21Speaker 4: Thank you. I like that. I like that.
- 19:23Speaker 2: That's motivating, isn't it? Well, you're motivating to me.
- 19:27Speaker 4: Hey, listen.
- 19:27Speaker 7: Listen.
- 19:28Speaker 4: Anyhow, we're playing Tito tonight. So it's going to be
- 19:31Speaker 4: a good series. Okay? Good matchups.
- 19:36Speaker 2: And then you have the Cavs and Pistons.
- 19:39Speaker 4: Yeah.
- 19:39Speaker 1: That's an important game. A lot of sports activity going on.
- 19:43Speaker 1: Dick from Dayton's head is going to be spinning.
- 19:46Speaker 4: Oh, yeah.
- 19:46Speaker 5: Yeah, yeah.
- 19:47Speaker 4: But listen, like I said, okay, here's the thing, Ron.
- 19:51Speaker 4: I might not agree with everything people say.
- 19:55Speaker 6: Yes.
- 19:56Speaker 4: But I'm not going to try to destroy them. And
- 19:59Speaker 4: that's what I think about Trump. People don't understand. He knows.
- 20:03Speaker 4: You know, you even said this. You told me, or
- 20:07Speaker 4: you told us, you said, look, he knows things I
- 20:10Speaker 4: don't know about what's going on. So how do you
- 20:14Speaker 4: judge a man making decisions on stuff that's secret? You
- 20:18Speaker 4: know what I mean?
- 20:20Speaker 1: Well, you have to start with and acknowledge he knows
- 20:23Speaker 1: more than you know, and his inner circle does. But
- 20:27Speaker 1: that doesn't mean you can't also listen to people that
- 20:29Speaker 1: are other experts, that I would consider experts, and get
- 20:33Speaker 1: their take on it. Because it also doesn't mean that
- 20:35Speaker 1: you just blatantly accept what you're being told to by
- 20:38Speaker 1: the government. Because let's be realistic. The government has lied
- 20:42Speaker 1: to us so many times. I mean, the government, Biden administration,
- 20:45Speaker 1: they lied about the origins of COVID. I mean, when
- 20:49Speaker 1: you had that guy testify just the other day that
- 20:51Speaker 1: said that the... How about that? Basically, the CIA knew
- 20:55Speaker 1: that it was from the lab in Wuhan, and Fauci
- 20:59Speaker 1: got involved in it.
- 21:00Speaker 4: Right, but you know how the lab got it. I
- 21:04Speaker 4: told you before how the lab got it.
- 21:06Speaker 2: Well, the funding..
- 21:07Speaker 4: Fauci created it here, and Obama told him to get
- 21:10Speaker 4: the hell out of here.
- 21:11Speaker 2: Well, the funding to this lab... In Wuhan. See, my
- 21:16Speaker 2: problem is the government doesn't level with you.
- 21:19Speaker 1: And I don't know for what reason that Fauci's just
- 21:25Speaker 1: a creep. And I think Fauci should be in jail,
- 21:30Speaker 1: in my opinion. Instead, he's enjoying a gold-plated retirement. And
- 21:35Speaker 1: I think we look at... Well, I look at the
- 21:39Speaker 1: fact that you had people that died alone without their
- 21:44Speaker 1: family by their side in nursing homes and hospitals. You
- 21:48Speaker 1: had doctors that said, we are having success with ivermectin
- 21:52Speaker 1: and hydrochloroquine, and they were punished as a result of it.
- 21:56Speaker 1: So I sit back and say, how many lives could
- 21:58Speaker 1: have been saved with these alternative treatments? The doctors said,
- 22:02Speaker 1: we are seeing patients survive COVID as a result of this.
- 22:08Speaker 1: And they were silenced. How many how many people were saying.
- 22:11Speaker 4: That you can lose your life?
- 22:13Speaker 2: Exactly.
- 22:14Speaker 1: So I don't necessarily believe what the government is telling
- 22:18Speaker 1: me at all times because they lie and they cover
- 22:21Speaker 1: things up. I mean, do I sit back and think
- 22:24Speaker 1: that I was told the truth about the Kennedy assassination?
- 22:28Speaker 2: I doubt it. I don't know enough.
- 22:32Speaker 1: And for some reason, details are always sketchy when it
- 22:37Speaker 1: comes to the Charlie Kirk assassination, when it comes to
- 22:40Speaker 1: the two assassination attempts on Trump. Everything is hush-hush. We
- 22:45Speaker 1: don't learn enough about any of these situations. And the
- 22:50Speaker 1: government's very quiet about all of this stuff. And so
- 22:54Speaker 1: a lot of the stuff that the government tells you,
- 22:56Speaker 1: I don't necessarily agree with it. I will say this.
- 22:59Speaker 1: I think the inflation numbers are low. I don't think
- 23:03Speaker 1: they represent actual inflation. I think the employment and unemployment
- 23:07Speaker 1: numbers are way off. I don't care what administration it
- 23:11Speaker 1: is because you're not counting people who fall off unemployment.
- 23:15Speaker 1: So I think the information that they're peddling us is–
- 23:20Speaker 1: tarnished by political influences. And I would just like to
- 23:24Speaker 1: know the truth. And I don't know why that doesn't,
- 23:28Speaker 1: I don't know why that doesn't happen. So, Hey, why
- 23:30Speaker 1: don't we say what's where the origins of COVID came from?
- 23:35Speaker 1: Why isn't anybody being held accountable for it? Why is,
- 23:40Speaker 1: why do we just let, let this happen that affected
- 23:44Speaker 1: so many people? Why is it that we don't have
- 23:47Speaker 1: all the files on the Epstein case? I want everything
- 23:50Speaker 1: released for the sake of the victims and to punish
- 23:53Speaker 1: those that were involved in all of these activities. I
- 23:56Speaker 1: don't care how rich they are. I don't care what
- 23:59Speaker 1: type of political influence they have. I don't care what
- 24:02Speaker 1: party they're with. Where is the justice in this entire scenario?
- 24:07Speaker 1: And as I've said a million times, Epstein was created
- 24:10Speaker 1: by the intelligence community. It sickens me, whether that's Israel
- 24:13Speaker 1: or America or a combination of both, that they would
- 24:16Speaker 1: invest in somebody and create somebody that would be running
- 24:20Speaker 1: basically underage girls being exploited.
- 24:24Speaker 2: By old perverts.
- 24:26Speaker 1: And that this would be an intelligent operation to get
- 24:29Speaker 1: the goods on people. And it sickens me that... And
- 24:33Speaker 1: everybody knew what was going on. Epstein Island, the Lolita Express,
- 24:37Speaker 1: and the people that... It was fairly well known, but
- 24:41Speaker 1: it went on anyway.
- 24:43Speaker 6: And I love how.
- 24:44Speaker 4: People say, I was on the plane, but I didn't
- 24:46Speaker 4: do anything.
- 24:47Speaker 2: Right.
- 24:47Speaker 1: And I don't care if Howard Lutnick's involved in it.
- 24:50Speaker 1: I don't care if Bill Clinton's involved in it. It
- 24:52Speaker 1: doesn't matter to me if you're a Republican or Democrat.
- 24:55Speaker 1: You should be held accountable for that. But once again,
- 24:58Speaker 1: you look and you're not going to see justice happen
- 25:02Speaker 1: in this case. You're just not going to see justice
- 25:06Speaker 1: take place.
- 25:07Speaker 6: I understand.
- 25:08Speaker 4: But now with the fraud, you're going to see some
- 25:09Speaker 4: of it, right?
- 25:11Speaker 2: I would like to think so.
- 25:12Speaker 1: But once again, like you had that guy from the
- 25:14Speaker 1: CIA testifying about the cover-up in COVID, and you didn't
- 25:18Speaker 1: get a single Democrat showing up. Once again, you had
- 25:21Speaker 1: Musk out there saying, why are we spending billions of
- 25:24Speaker 1: your tax dollars on this ridiculous crap that's all sexually.
- 25:28Speaker 2: Oriented in these other countries?
- 25:30Speaker 1: And all the Democrats wanted to do was destroy Musk
- 25:33Speaker 1: and get rid of him.
- 25:34Speaker 2: And they succeeded in it.
- 25:36Speaker 1: So this waste of your tax dollars and nonsense could
- 25:39Speaker 1: continue to go on, making politically connected people rich with
- 25:43Speaker 1: these NGOs that you funnel all this money to.
- 25:47Speaker 2: And they hire a bunch of fraud. Right.
- 25:50Speaker 1: Right. And they they all become wealthy as a result
- 25:53Speaker 1: of it. And they spend a little bit of the
- 25:55Speaker 1: money over in these foreign countries on this ridiculous stuff.
- 25:59Speaker 1: And it's like, as a taxpayer, do you say, why
- 26:01Speaker 1: are we wasting money on this? Why don't we concern
- 26:03Speaker 1: about the debt? Why can't I keep more of my money?
- 26:06Speaker 1: Or the fraud that you see going on in Ohio
- 26:09Speaker 1: with DeWine and Medicaid, or in Tampon Tims in Minnesota.
- 26:14Speaker 4: Well, I can't wait until J.D. gets to Ohio. I
- 26:17Speaker 4: can't wait. It's bad. Worse than Minnesota, but go ahead.
- 26:21Speaker 1: I mean, you look around at all this stuff. So
- 26:24Speaker 1: you say, do I believe what government tells me? Nine
- 26:27Speaker 1: out of ten times, no. I just don't. And you
- 26:31Speaker 1: can go back to remember Vietnam. Oh, it's a domino effect.
- 26:35Speaker 4: Oh, I knew what Vietnam was about.
- 26:37Speaker 1: I mean, it was just, it was all a crock
- 26:41Speaker 1: of crap, and 70,000 people died who didn't need to die.
- 26:45Speaker 6: No.
- 26:46Speaker 1: And then we lied about Agent Orange and the effect
- 26:49Speaker 1: that that had on so many.
- 26:50Speaker 4: About the LSD they put on, they used on the kids.
- 26:53Speaker 1: I mean, so many things that trouble me from my
- 26:58Speaker 1: own government that I question anything anymore.
- 27:01Speaker 2: Anything.
- 27:01Speaker 1: Exactly.
- 27:02Speaker 4: Hey, wait a minute. Let's go back to COVID. Do
- 27:04Speaker 4: you remember when I called in when COVID, you know,
- 27:06Speaker 4: back in March of 20?
- 27:08Speaker 2: And I says, listen, I try to forget your calls
- 27:10Speaker 2: right after I hang up on you.
- 27:11Speaker 4: Okay. Okay. I said, Oh, come on, Ron.
- 27:14Speaker 6: Okay.
- 27:14Speaker 4: You got it. You got to admit that I was
- 27:16Speaker 4: right on this one. Don't take the shot.
- 27:19Speaker 2: Yes.
- 27:20Speaker 4: I found out about that. I said, this thing.
- 27:22Speaker 2: Well, did you take the shot? Did you take it?
- 27:25Speaker 4: No.
- 27:26Speaker 2: Okay.
- 27:26Speaker 8: Never.
- 27:27Speaker 2: But can you imagine we were at a point.
- 27:29Speaker 1: Where, With these people who said you either take it
- 27:32Speaker 1: or lose your job, which is taking a choice away
- 27:36Speaker 1: from people.
- 27:36Speaker 4: Right there, you've got to be sued on that.
- 27:38Speaker 6: That's ridiculous.
- 27:40Speaker 2: It's absolutely ridiculous.
- 27:42Speaker 4: But listen, listen. And I said, why not to take
- 27:45Speaker 4: the shot? Because it clogs up your capillary veins, you know,
- 27:48Speaker 4: the small veins, and causes you to have a heart attack. Now,
- 27:51Speaker 4: I had a friend of mine, well, actually, he wasn't
- 27:53Speaker 4: a friend, but he was my brother's friend. And he
- 27:55Speaker 4: was Mr. Athlete. You know what I mean? Down the Y.
- 27:58Speaker 6: You know what I mean?
- 27:59Speaker 4: Working out. And this guy was in great shape. All
- 28:04Speaker 4: of a sudden, he died of a heart attack. Joe
- 28:06Speaker 4: calls me and says, Kenny died. I said, did he
- 28:09Speaker 4: take the shot? He said, yep. I said, okay.
- 28:11Speaker 2: Well, you would see that with so many young athletes.
- 28:13Speaker 1: So many people had myocarditis and heart issues as a
- 28:18Speaker 1: result of that shot. And I'll be fair, many people
- 28:23Speaker 1: have problems as a result of COVID as well. So
- 28:26Speaker 1: there were people that suffered as a result of the shot.
- 28:29Speaker 1: There were people that suffered as a result of getting COVID.
- 28:32Speaker 1: But let's remember where it started, in the damn bio
- 28:35Speaker 1: lab funded by Fauci in China. Communist China. It should
- 28:40Speaker 1: have never happened. It should have never happened in the
- 28:42Speaker 1: first place. And once again, Victoria Nuland lying about the
- 28:46Speaker 1: bio labs in the Ukraine that didn't exist until they
- 28:50Speaker 1: had to admit they did exist when Putin was coming in.
- 28:54Speaker 6: Right.
- 28:54Speaker 1: Because the Russians are going to all of them to
- 28:57Speaker 1: close them down. And then they had to admit, oh, wait, well,
- 29:00Speaker 1: they were there. Well, there's proof that they were lying
- 29:02Speaker 1: to you all along.
- 29:02Speaker 2: Yep.
- 29:04Speaker 4: You're right. But here's one last thing. I went to
- 29:08Speaker 4: a dinner last night. It was a nice dinner. And
- 29:09Speaker 4: I met this guy.
- 29:10Speaker 2: What did you have? You didn't have Mediterranean food. Did
- 29:13Speaker 2: you have normal food?
- 29:13Speaker 4: It was. It was Lebanese food.
- 29:15Speaker 2: Oh, my God. What did you eat?
- 29:17Speaker 4: I'm not going to tell you. I've got to finish
- 29:19Speaker 4: my thought before you throw me off. All right. So
- 29:21Speaker 4: we're talking and stuff. And he whispers to me. He goes,
- 29:24Speaker 4: do you like Trump? I said, yeah. You know, I
- 29:28Speaker 4: don't whisper it. I said, yes. And everybody there knows
- 29:31Speaker 4: me that knows that, right? Especially the negative The negative,
- 29:36Speaker 4: you know, left over there. And you know what? You
- 29:39Speaker 4: know what I found out about these people?
- 29:41Speaker 6: What?
- 29:41Speaker 4: They got so much hate inside of them, Ron.
- 29:44Speaker 1: Yes.
- 29:44Speaker 4: Okay? And it's amazing. It's like, listen, what are you
- 29:47Speaker 4: talking about? They said the United States killed the Lebanese
- 29:50Speaker 4: in southern Lebanon. I said, no, they didn't. The Jews
- 29:54Speaker 4: were trying to get rid of Hezbollah, and they were bombing.
- 29:58Speaker 4: You know, oh, but the United States gave them the bombs.
- 30:01Speaker 4: You know what? You know, that's like, Ron, I go
- 30:04Speaker 4: to a gun store.
- 30:05Speaker 2: You had to probably lose your appetite. Did you have Kibbe?
- 30:09Speaker 4: Yeah, Kibbe Naeem.
- 30:11Speaker 2: Oh, my God.
- 30:11Speaker 4: But listen, listen, let me finish. So this guy we're
- 30:14Speaker 4: talking to, he can't believe how Trump is still surviving
- 30:17Speaker 4: after all the punishment he went through. You know, three assassinations,
- 30:21Speaker 4: you know, being impeached twice, blah, blah, blah, being sued.
- 30:25Speaker 6: Anyhow.
- 30:26Speaker 4: So then I found out that he won his lawsuit
- 30:29Speaker 4: with the IRS and got a $ 20 billion settlement. And
- 30:34Speaker 4: you know what he did today? He dropped it. He said, no,
- 30:38Speaker 4: he wants to take that money and he wants to
- 30:40Speaker 4: use it to start a fund for people that were
- 30:43Speaker 4: persecuted by Obama and Biden. And to, you know, to
- 30:47Speaker 4: help them financially. Isn't that great of him?
- 30:50Speaker 2: Yes, it is.
- 30:51Speaker 4: So, yeah, so people say, well, he's such a bad guy.
- 30:54Speaker 4: He just gave up $ 20 billion. Anyhow.
- 30:58Speaker 2: All right.
- 30:59Speaker 4: So, last thing.
- 31:01Speaker 2: Please, I'm starting to get to... We were talking about religion.
- 31:04Speaker 2: Hold on.
- 31:04Speaker 4: Listen, listen. And he said something about Muslims. I said, well,
- 31:08Speaker 4: Muslims are not a religion. It's a movement. I mean,
- 31:11Speaker 4: I studied this for years.
- 31:12Speaker 6: And..
- 31:14Speaker 4: And the guy says, yeah, that's why, who was the
- 31:18Speaker 4: ambassador for England during World War II? You know, the
- 31:24Speaker 4: guy from England. Anyhow, I keep on forgetting his name
- 31:28Speaker 4: for some reason, but he said that Islam to a
- 31:31Speaker 4: human being is like rabies to a dog. And he goes,
- 31:35Speaker 4: what does rabies do, Dave? I said, well, it makes
- 31:37Speaker 4: the dog go crazy. Bingo.
- 31:38Speaker 2: All right.
- 31:40Speaker 4: Is that it? But before I.
- 31:43Speaker 2: End, Yeah, because really, you're getting on my patience.
- 31:47Speaker 4: What do you mean I'm getting on your patience?
- 31:48Speaker 2: You're getting on my last nerve. I don't know. It
- 31:51Speaker 2: just is like starting to get painful.
- 31:53Speaker 4: Let me end with this. Strike three called. Ball game.
- 31:57Speaker 2: All right. I can accept that. Thank you. You're on
- 32:01Speaker 2: the air.
- 32:03Speaker 6: Wow.
- 32:04Speaker 8: I'm sorry, man, but wow.
- 32:09Speaker 2: What do you mean?
- 32:10Speaker 1: I mean, he did a great strike three ball game.
- 32:13Speaker 1: I love it when he does that. He sounds somewhat
- 32:15Speaker 1: like he's doing a good time, Hamilton.
- 32:18Speaker 8: Well, listen, I'm a Yankees fan. You ain't doing Michael Kay.
- 32:21Speaker 4: I don't care.
- 32:22Speaker 2: We don't care about the Yankees here.
- 32:23Speaker 4: All right, then.
- 32:24Speaker 8: You know, just like you guys hate Democrats, we hate Republicans.
- 32:27Speaker 8: But you threw some bait out there, Ron. And I
- 32:31Speaker 8: had to bite on it before we go any further.
- 32:34Speaker 8: You were talking about the people that called your show, right?
- 32:39Speaker 1: Yes.
- 32:39Speaker 3: Over the years..
- 32:42Speaker 8: You can't lie because your boss is listening. There's been
- 32:45Speaker 8: absolutely nobody that brought as much smoke and moved the
- 32:50Speaker 8: Dow as that guy named Emanuel.
- 32:52Speaker 4: Who calls you.
- 32:54Speaker 2: Emanuel? That guy's nothing but trouble.
- 32:58Speaker 8: Yeah, but he moves the Dow.
- 33:02Speaker 4: And he brings smoke.
- 33:04Speaker 2: And where there's smoke, there's fire.
- 33:07Speaker 8: You better believe it, right? I've been trying for years
- 33:09Speaker 8: to get you fired, but it ain't going to work.
- 33:14Speaker 2: You and a bunch of other people.
- 33:16Speaker 7: Yeah, but let me ask.
- 33:18Speaker 2: You a question, right?
- 33:19Speaker 8: Now, we totally agree that we don't care whose name,
- 33:28Speaker 8: you know, like if your name's on the Epstein files, right,
- 33:32Speaker 8: then we got a problem with it. Now, I know
- 33:35Speaker 8: that you don't believe, you know, and hasn't been proven yet,
- 33:38Speaker 8: that our president is part of the Epstein files. But
- 33:43Speaker 8: if it comes out that he is, do you still
- 33:47Speaker 8: support him?
- 33:48Speaker 1: He should be held accountable like anybody else. I mean,
- 33:52Speaker 1: if you're talking about if it comes out that he
- 33:56Speaker 1: engaged in those activities with underage women... then you're compromised.
- 34:05Speaker 1: Somebody was running that operation. If you ask me, I mean,
- 34:10Speaker 1: I can only speculate. I've told you before. Listen now,
- 34:13Speaker 1: 570 WKBN. And Ron Verbit, 456 from the Kingdom of Mahoning,
- 34:18Speaker 1: NewsRadio 570 WKBN. So, Manuel, the point I'm making is
- 34:22Speaker 1: I don't care if you're a Democrat or Republican. If
- 34:24Speaker 1: you're involved in Epstein in any way, you've been compromised
- 34:28Speaker 1: and you should be held accountable. I don't care if
- 34:29Speaker 1: you're a Republican or Democrat. Just like I don't care
- 34:32Speaker 1: if this Boston Mayor is a Republican or Democrat. She's
- 34:37Speaker 1: a Chinese spy, basically, or influenced by China, just like
- 34:42Speaker 1: Eric Swalwell. He would still be in Congress today if
- 34:45Speaker 1: he didn't run for the governor of California. and basically
- 34:50Speaker 1: somebody turned on him to put all that out there
- 34:53Speaker 1: to get him out of the race, he would still
- 34:55Speaker 1: be sitting in Congress. But here was Eric Swalwell on
- 34:57Speaker 1: the Intelligence Committee, and he was dating a Chinese spy.
- 35:01Speaker 1: For the love of God, where's the accountability as an
- 35:04Speaker 1: American to say, Eric Swalwell shouldn't be in Washington long
- 35:07Speaker 1: before he got thrown out because of running for governor?
- 35:11Speaker 1: He was a piece of crap, and everybody knew it
- 35:14Speaker 1: beforehand and compromised with the Chinese spy. Just as who
- 35:19Speaker 1: was the woman that Feinstein had had the Chinese spy driver?
- 35:25Speaker 1: I mean, this is ridiculous. It doesn't matter to me
- 35:28Speaker 1: what party you're with.
- 35:30Speaker 8: You know what I think is ridiculous?
- 35:33Speaker 2: This program?
- 35:34Speaker 8: No, well, this program is insane. It's ridiculous. What I'm
- 35:40Speaker 8: saying is this. There should be certain things that you
- 35:44Speaker 8: shouldn't be allowed to plea bargain. I would tell her, listen,
- 35:50Speaker 8: you're looking at 25 years. If you roll over and
- 35:53Speaker 8: give up the network, you're going to do 20. I
- 35:56Speaker 8: just don't believe that anybody, whatever party you are, if
- 36:00Speaker 8: you are a traitor, I don't.
- 36:02Speaker 6: Believe you should get shot.
- 36:03Speaker 8: I don't believe in that, right? But I do believe
- 36:06Speaker 8: you need to do at least a quarter of a
- 36:08Speaker 8: century to In the penitentiary. What do you think about that?
- 36:11Speaker 2: I would agree with that.
- 36:11Speaker 1: And this is after her fiancé got arrested. He had
- 36:16Speaker 1: gotten arrested long before she did. And they didn't make
- 36:20Speaker 1: the connection at the time. I mean, what was going
- 36:22Speaker 1: on here?
- 36:23Speaker 4: It's just..
- 36:24Speaker 8: If they would have told him he was looking at
- 36:26Speaker 8: 25 years, and if he rolled, well, he'll do 20,
- 36:28Speaker 8: he would have gave everybody up.
- 36:30Speaker 4: You can't plea bargain this.
- 36:31Speaker 8: When it comes to this country, you cannot plea.
- 36:33Speaker 4: Bargain it, Ron.
- 36:34Speaker 2: You must start as you're an American first.
- 36:36Speaker 1: I don't care who's compromised, a Republican or Democrat with
- 36:40Speaker 1: Epstein or who's involved with China.
- 36:43Speaker 2: They got to go. You got to have this country's interest.
- 36:46Speaker 4: I'm agreeing with you.
- 36:46Speaker 8: I'm getting off this damn phone.
- 36:48Speaker 4: You have a.
- 36:49Speaker 8: Nice day, man.
- 36:52Speaker 1: He probably is deeply concerned. Ron Verp from the Kingdom
- 36:55Speaker 1: of Mahoning, NewsRadio 570 WKBN.
- 36:56Speaker 2: From ABC News.
- 37:06Speaker 7: I'm Mike Tobosky. President Trump is dropping his $ 10 billion
- 37:10Speaker 7: lawsuit against the IRS in exchange for the creation of
- 37:13Speaker 7: a $ 1. 7 billion fund which would pay alleged victims of
- 37:18Speaker 7: government weaponization. ABC News National Correspondent Stephen Portnoy.
- 37:22Speaker 9: The House Judiciary Committee's top Democrat calls the idea a
- 37:25Speaker 9: giant affront to the rule of law. In a statement,
- 37:28Speaker 9: Jamie Raskin of Maryland says Trump has no authority to
- 37:31Speaker 9: conjure up billion-dollar compensation schemes. Sources tell ABC News the
- 37:35Speaker 9: $ 1. 7 billion fund would pay out claims to those who
- 37:38Speaker 9: say they were unfairly targeted by the Biden administration. including
- 37:41Speaker 9: those who were pardoned for rioting at the Capitol on
- 37:44Speaker 9: January 6th.
- 37:45Speaker 7: President Trump is returning to Washington right now after a
- 37:47Speaker 7: summit with President Xi Jinping in China. Those two agreed
- 37:51Speaker 7: to a vision of constructive strategic stability.
- 37:55Speaker 2: But former U.S.
- 37:56Speaker 7: Ambassador to China, Nicholas Burns, says it just gives China
- 37:59Speaker 7: more leverage if the U.S. is seen to be breaking
- 38:01Speaker 7: the deal.
- 38:01Speaker 2: This is a trap for the United States.
- 38:03Speaker 9: The Chinese have tried this before, which is why previous
- 38:06Speaker 9: administrations haven't agreed to it.
- 38:08Speaker 7: Several updates on the hantavirus outbreak. The one American who
- 38:11Speaker 7: tested positive for the illness after being exposed aboard that
- 38:14Speaker 7: Dutch cruise ship may have never had the disease to
- 38:16Speaker 7: begin with. Experts saying Dr. Stephen Kornfield may have tested
- 38:20Speaker 7: false positive. He now says he's deciding whether to stay
- 38:23Speaker 7: in quarantine in Omaha, Nebraska, or go home and finish
- 38:26Speaker 7: the 42-day quarantine there.
- 38:28Speaker 5: I think everybody in this unit is sort of having
- 38:30Speaker 5: that discussion with their own health system and with their families.
- 38:35Speaker 5: Some will probably stay here the entire time. Some may
- 38:39Speaker 5: ultimately go home.
- 38:40Speaker 7: Meanwhile, the two Americans who were split off from the
- 38:43Speaker 7: original group of Americans exposed to the Hanta virus kept
- 38:46Speaker 7: at Emory University Hospital in Atlanta have now been transferred
- 38:49Speaker 7: to that quarantine center in Omaha. And another Harvey Weinstein
- 38:52Speaker 7: case has ended in a mistrial after a jury found
- 38:55Speaker 7: itself deadlocked over whether Weinstein raped Jessica Mann, an aspiring actress.
- 39:00Speaker 7: You're listening to ABC News.
