- 0:03SPEAKER_03: And now it it's one of you said it's one of Zach's friends, right?
- 0:06SPEAKER_02: Yeah, it's uh friend and coworker.
- 0:08SPEAKER_03: Okay.
- 0:08SPEAKER_03: Uh very nice.
- 0:09SPEAKER_03: And uh it's up near the Syracuse area, which should be fun.
- 0:12SPEAKER_03: Friday wedding, fun time.
- 0:13SPEAKER_02: Oh my god, I love a Friday wedding! Yeah, it's good.
- 0:16SPEAKER_02: Especially because you get like a couple more days to just recover.
- 0:20SPEAKER_03: Good way to put it.
- 0:21SPEAKER_02: Minus the fact that I have to pick up Junior tomorrow at butt clock in the morning.
- 0:24SPEAKER_03: Yeah, you guys are driving from Syracuse to where are you picking up Junior?
- 0:27SPEAKER_02: A little past Erie.
- 0:28SPEAKER_02: It's called Northeast Pennsylvania.
- 0:30SPEAKER_03: Uh I mean we're talking just past Erie.
- 0:32SPEAKER_02: Yeah, we're gonna stop at the Skunk and Goat Tavern.
- 0:35SPEAKER_03: Are you serious?
- 0:36SPEAKER_02: I'm I'm dead serious.
- 0:37SPEAKER_02: I always saw the billboard and then I was trying to find a middle point, and I also was looking for dog-friendly locations.
- 0:42SPEAKER_02: If you didn't know, Junior's been with my mom for the past month.
- 0:45SPEAKER_02: So we're it's like we're a divorced couple.
- 0:47SPEAKER_02: We're gonna be exchanging a dog at a at a meeting point.
- 0:51SPEAKER_03: Well, hopefully you don't have the arguments I have with my ex.
- 0:53SPEAKER_02: Oh, anyway, um that's that's gonna be what I'm doing post-wedding.
- 0:57SPEAKER_03: Boy, you got a lot going on.
- 0:58SPEAKER_03: Anyway, back to the wedding for a second.
- 1:00SPEAKER_03: And thank you for holding on.
- 1:01SPEAKER_03: I want you to explain to Allie what happened here, because I am really struggling on telling you what to do.
- 1:07SPEAKER_00: So I'm 29, and my dad's been with his girlfriend about two years now.
- 1:12SPEAKER_00: Um, she's 34 and he's 54.
- 1:15SPEAKER_00: And last weekend we had this big family get together for a wedding, and I don't know if she was like totally drunk or what, but she kissed me on the lips.
- 1:26SPEAKER_00: And it wasn't like a little peck on the cheek either.
- 1:28SPEAKER_00: It was a full-on tongue kiss, um, which caught me like completely off guard.
- 1:33SPEAKER_00: Um yeah, I just kind of froze because I had no idea what the heck was even happening.
- 1:38SPEAKER_00: Like, I was walking out of the bathroom and she was going into the ladies' room, and she just put her hands on my head and kissed me for like five whole seconds, and then she just started laughing and walked into the bathroom, and that was it.
- 1:49SPEAKER_00: Like, nothing happened.
- 1:50SPEAKER_00: And she hasn't mentioned it since.
- 1:52SPEAKER_00: So I was just like, what was that, you know?
- 1:55SPEAKER_00: Because, yeah, not gonna lie, she's smoking hot.
- 1:58SPEAKER_00: Like, she takes good care of herself, goes to the gym every day, and yeah, if she wasn't my dad's girlfriend, she's definitely the kind of girl I date, but I'm not gonna do that to my dad, you know.
- 2:07SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, I don't know if she was just really drunk and maybe doesn't even remember what she did.
- 2:13SPEAKER_00: But I'm also thinking, like, if she did that to me, what else is she doing?
- 2:18SPEAKER_00: You know, so yeah, my gut says I should just pretend it never happened because I didn't do anything wrong, and I don't really want to blow up my dad's relationship, but I still feel kind of weird keeping something like that a secret, you know?
- 2:30SPEAKER_00: Especially if she's like, I don't know, like using the same bad judgment with other people.
- 2:35SPEAKER_00: So, yeah, I don't even know what I'd say to my dad without making the whole thing ten times more awkward, but yeah, I just wanted to see what people think I should do here.
- 2:43SPEAKER_03: Yeah, what what do you think you should do there?
- 2:46SPEAKER_02: Do you think the beer goggles were so bad that she was kissing the son thinking, it kind of looks like my boyfriend.
- 2:52SPEAKER_03: I definitely think there were there there was definitely some alcohol eyes.
- 2:56SPEAKER_03: Oh, yeah, there's no dif, ands or buts about that.
- 2:59SPEAKER_02: I could never tell my dad if I was him because that would just yeah, I that that would ruin, ruin dad.
- 3:06SPEAKER_03: Right, and yeah, you just mmm.
- 3:08SPEAKER_03: Do you think dad knows that she might be I mean that's tough.
- 3:11SPEAKER_03: No, you don't think so.
- 3:12SPEAKER_03: He's just blinded.
- 3:13SPEAKER_02: Yes, he's blinded by her beauty and age.
- 3:16SPEAKER_02: And and everything else that comes along with it, her trick hip.
- 3:19SPEAKER_03: Dad's Gavin, you look like you have something to add to this.
- 3:22SPEAKER_03: I'd tell him.
- 3:23SPEAKER_03: Are you real?
- 3:24SPEAKER_01: Are you kidding me?
- 3:25SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:26SPEAKER_01: Why?
- 3:27SPEAKER_01: How do you say that?
- 3:28SPEAKER_01: Yeah, dad, your girlfriend kissed me?
- 3:30SPEAKER_01: Yeah, because first of all, what if what if she's okay, she's closer in age to him, correct?
- 3:34SPEAKER_01: Just a son than she is the dad.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: Yeah.
- 3:35SPEAKER_01: What if she's like kind of secretly in this for for him and and not dad?
- 3:39SPEAKER_01: You know?
- 3:40SPEAKER_03: Oh, I think she's unsecretly in it for everything dad has money.
- 3:44SPEAKER_02: Yes, that's what I was thinking too.
- 3:46SPEAKER_02: So she wants the she wants the money, but she really likes how dad probably looked 20 years ago.
- 3:52SPEAKER_02: Oh God.
- 3:54SPEAKER_03: Now that you hear that.
- 3:58SPEAKER_02: Would anyone else tell dad?
- 3:59SPEAKER_02: That is something I have a r I have a hard time with, but I also have a relationship with my parents that we don't get too uh we don't talk too much relationship stuff too deeply.
- 4:11SPEAKER_03: All right, do this.
- 4:12SPEAKER_03: Uh while we're getting ready to give away Nelly tickets, do you tell dad or do you just not maybe you wait and you this is just an idea.
- 4:21SPEAKER_03: Maybe you wait and see.
- 4:22SPEAKER_03: Does anything else pop up that's really suspicious where you have to finally go and be like, Dad, listen.
- 4:27SPEAKER_03: I have a confession.
- 4:29SPEAKER_03: I was not gonna tell you this uh because I thought, you know, okay, there was, you know, lots of drinks flowing at that wedding back, you know, a couple years ago.
- 4:37SPEAKER_03: But then let's say you see the 34-year-old, you know, all of a sudden is out at the gym really cuddling up to well, why would you be at the gym with your possible future mother-in-law at 34 years?
- 4:48SPEAKER_03: I could go to the same gym.
- 4:49SPEAKER_03: All right, well, maybe that's she was, you know, really, really cuddling up to the uh the hunky guys that uh that are all muscles and all that.
- 4:56SPEAKER_03: So, I mean, do you wait or do you say something?
- 4:59SPEAKER_03: You guys text real quick, use the Wink 106 Twin Tears Magic or My Radio Jams app while we get ready to get Nelly tickets given out to you guys.
- 5:06SPEAKER_03: I just want to hear if you'd say something or not.
