Latest / Kenny Wallace Media / Breaking: NASCAR Considering Season Long Points Format | Charlie Marlow Show
Transcript
- 0:00You are live, we are live, you are looking live.
- 0:03Charlie Marlowe here reporting from my home in St.
- 0:07Louis, MO, more specifically Glendale.
- 0:10Huge NASCAR news, huge NASCAR news.
- 0:13You see the headline breaking. NASCAR is considering a 36 race
- 0:20championship format. I was dropping my kids off at
- 0:23school this morning and I have to admit, sometimes I will
- 0:27scroll Twitter at the stoplights.
- 0:30Of course, not when I'm driving. And Jeff Gluck dropped the
- 0:34article in the Athletic and this is a bombshell.
- 0:38This is very, very interesting to me and I'm not going to take
- 0:42away Jeff Gluck's shine here. You guys should all go and read
- 0:46Jeff Gluck's article, but I will kind of tell you some of the
- 0:51basics of it. And he tweeted out this was hour
- 0:56or so ago. It was 739 central time.
- 1:01So that's about hour and a half getting to two hours ago.
- 1:04And the headline is this. Seven months into NASCAR's
- 1:08process of overhauling its play offs, the full season points
- 1:13option is still on the table as a possibility.
- 1:16Here's a look at the case for why NASCAR could choose that
- 1:20route. And he has five bullet points
- 1:23there. Once again, I'm not going to
- 1:25steal all of Jeff Gluck's Thunder.
- 1:28I did read the article myself. I think you should as well.
- 1:32But I'll just kind of give you some basics.
- 1:34First of all, I give NASCAR a lot of credit for considering
- 1:39this. By the way, who's the happiest
- 1:43person in the world right now? Who is the happiest person in
- 1:47the world when they saw that tweet, when they read that
- 1:50article? Mark Martin, folks.
- 1:53And there's a there's a Mark Martin Viagra joke in there
- 1:56somewhere, right When Mark Martin and we love Mark Martin.
- 2:00I'm having fun here. When Mark Martin saw that that
- 2:02this is still a possibility. When Mark Martin was on Kenny
- 2:06conversation earlier this year, spring, summer, he was so
- 2:10adamant about wanting the 36 race championship, the old
- 2:15school way of doing things. I'll be honest with you, I never
- 2:20thought NASCAR would, would even consider this.
- 2:23And I'm not saying they're going to do it in a weird way.
- 2:28It's almost I, I don't want to say it's going to happen, but
- 2:32I'm, I'm just thinking through this as I'm, as I'm reading the
- 2:36article. Would NASCAR want this out?
- 2:39Would they want it reported if they know a lot of fans are
- 2:44going to get excited about the possibility of going back to the
- 2:47old school 36 race points championship and then it doesn't
- 2:52happen? That's fascinating in itself,
- 2:56right? I mean, like, you can't put that
- 2:59toothpaste back in the tube. There's going to be a lot of
- 3:02NASCAR fans that want the old way and they're going to read
- 3:06this article this morning and now you've got their hopes up
- 3:09that it's going to happen. And if it doesn't happen,
- 3:12they're going to be disappointed.
- 3:13Whereas if this article doesn't come out, and I'm not, by the
- 3:17way, I'm not in any way demonizing Jeff Glock in in
- 3:20writing the article. I mean, Jeff Glock, he has
- 3:23sources. He knows what's going on.
- 3:26So I 100% believe him in the fact that NASCAR is still
- 3:30considering this process. It's just, it's one of those
- 3:32deals, once you open up Pandora's box and you get fans
- 3:36excited. And then even if you were to
- 3:39change the, the format, remember, if if you look at the
- 3:43way things are trending in the media the last month or so,
- 3:47think about Jordan Bianchi also with the Athletic and how he's
- 3:51discussed this on his podcast with Jeff Glock.
- 3:54He's essentially, and these guys are well sourced.
- 3:57Let's be real. He's essentially insinuated that
- 4:01NASCAR is going to go to either a three or four race final
- 4:05round, right? Isn't that fair?
- 4:07That's essentially been insinuated through NASCAR media,
- 4:11through through high level sources that that's where NASCAR
- 4:15is going to go for 2026. Which by the way, I'm, I'm all
- 4:18for that. I actually like some semblance
- 4:20of the playoff. But also if you're going to go
- 4:23back to 36 races and the fans are happy, I I can't be mad at
- 4:27that. Look, I've just been following
- 4:29NASCAR hardcore the last four years.
- 4:32And even when I covered NASCAR and Lansing, MI back in O6 and
- 4:37O7, I mean, the Chase started in what, O 4?
- 4:40That's when I first got into TVI remember, I remember discussing
- 4:44the Chase in 2004. That was my first TV job in the
- 4:47Upper Peninsula of Michigan was essentially the fall of of 2004.
- 4:52So I just think this is fascinating and I give NASCAR a
- 4:56lot of credit. I don't think, and I want to
- 4:58hear from you guys. I'm going to go to the chat.
- 5:00I appreciate all you guys watching, 130 of you watching
- 5:03live. I don't think this coming out
- 5:06today is a coincidence. What was the big story
- 5:11yesterday? The big story yesterday was a
- 5:15fourth straight week of declining ratings, TV ratings
- 5:21for NASCAR playoff races. And I got in all these arguments
- 5:25yesterday online. I mean, Kenny Wallace even put a
- 5:28video out. We can talk about that later
- 5:30where there's some embellishment there about what I was saying.
- 5:34But my point is I give NASCAR credit for reacting to what the
- 5:40fans are are thinking and feeling.
- 5:42We can talk all the the time about fans complaining, right?
- 5:47There are going to be trolls, there are going to be people
- 5:49complaining. There are people that love to
- 5:51complain. And by the way, there are very
- 5:52reasonable people that have great comments.
- 5:55I read them all the time here on the Kenny Wallace YouTube
- 5:58channel. You guys put out very well
- 6:00thought out comments about what you'd like to see NASCAR change
- 6:04and I can tell you really mean it.
- 6:07Here's the deal, though. The way fans really complain is
- 6:11with their wallets, with their eyeballs.
- 6:14What really hits NASCAR in the pocketbook?
- 6:18What really slaps a league in the face.
- 6:21I mean, this is happening with the Saint Louis Cardinals this
- 6:23year. It's not just NASCAR.
- 6:24It's all over sports. Nobody's going to the Cardinals
- 6:27games. There is no better way to send a
- 6:29message. And I'm not even saying it's
- 6:31done by design all the time. Sometimes it is.
- 6:34I think baseball Cardinal fans are sending a message.
- 6:37I think there's some apathy and I've heard this from you guys
- 6:41with the NASCAR fan base, fans are sending a message.
- 6:46If you go to the races, which by the way, ticket sales are up a
- 6:50tick. I believe it was 6%.
- 6:52That article came out a couple weeks ago.
- 6:55We discussed that on Herman Trader.
- 6:56So, so tickets are up. That's good.
- 7:00But here's here's what it really comes down to in my opinion.
- 7:03Yesterday you had the 4th consecutive playoff race with
- 7:09with low TV ratings. And I've heard people say it's
- 7:12because of football. No, this is compared to last
- 7:15year, same time playoff races, similar playoff races.
- 7:19They're not always exactly the same because they changed the
- 7:22races. But the point is this is
- 7:24compared to going up against football season last year.
- 7:28We all know football's tough, especially NFL football.
- 7:32We know that's going to be always a, a a tough watch.
- 7:36By the way, also Charlie Kirk memorial memorial service this
- 7:40past Sunday. That's something different than
- 7:42years past. But this is not just a one week
- 7:45issue talking about Loudon. It's four straight weeks of
- 7:49declining TV ratings for the playoffs.
- 7:53And this is where NASCAR probably says this because I
- 7:57like the playoffs. But I understand if NASCAR is
- 8:00looking at the TV ratings and they're saying, well, wait a
- 8:01second. The whole reason we're doing
- 8:04playoffs is we're trying to create the excitement, the Game
- 8:097 moments, whatever it is, the elimination scenarios, OK.
- 8:14And I think they're great. We just didn't get a lot of cut
- 8:16line drama this this year for the first cut off.
- 8:21Usually we do right. That's that's also part of this.
- 8:25That was the Bristol race, of course, with all the the
- 8:29craziness with the with the tire strategy, But usually there's a
- 8:33lot of cut line drama. I hope there's cut line drama at
- 8:37the Charlotte, Roeville coming up.
- 8:39That's what makes the playoffs really interesting for me.
- 8:42But the point is if NASCAR is saying, well, a lot of fans want
- 8:46the 36 race playoffs, the fans think it's more legitimate.
- 8:51The drivers think it's more legitimate.
- 8:54The old school important media voices, whoever it is, Dale
- 8:58Junior, when Tony Stewart, when people kind of talk about all
- 9:02this, they think it's more legitimate and oh, by the way
- 9:05that the TV ratings aren't helping us in the play offs.
- 9:08Well then sure, NASCAR should absolutely think about
- 9:11potentially going back to the 36 race playoff format.
- 9:16I just think it's a fascinating time to be a NASCAR fan or to be
- 9:20covering NASCAR because, and I could be wrong, I, I still think
- 9:26the root of the issue, NASCAR's main issue is the Next Gen. car,
- 9:31more so than the playoffs. But today the big news is the
- 9:34playoffs. That's what we're talking about.
- 9:35I will say this, this is a very small sample size.
- 9:38I put out a Twitter poll and I said could be skewed in light of
- 9:42today's big news. But as a NASCAR fan, what's more
- 9:45important to you? Fixing either the Next Gen. car
- 9:48or the playoff format? And again, this is only 35
- 9:52votes, very small sample size, but 74% of you have said fixing
- 9:59the Next Gen. car. And I, I also think we we need
- 10:03to follow the, the storylines. Again, when you talk about the
- 10:06important voices in NASCAR, I always say don't, don't listen
- 10:09to me. I mean, if you want to listen to
- 10:10me, that's fine. But think about Dirty MO Media,
- 10:14our fans, our friends over there at Dirty MO Media.
- 10:17What has been a big storyline the last the last week or two?
- 10:21How about how about a week or two ago, Dale Junior came out
- 10:25and said, has the Daytona 500 lost its luster because of this
- 10:31car? Because it's such a crapshoot,
- 10:34OK. And he said, back in the day,
- 10:35there would be a legitimate debate.
- 10:37Somebody would say, would you trade that Daytona 500 win for a
- 10:40championship? And Dale Junior said, well,
- 10:42nobody's having that conversation anymore.
- 10:45Tony Stewart has said that the Daytona 500 doesn't mean as much
- 10:49anymore. Just yesterday I saw a clip on
- 10:52door bumper clear where Freddie Craft asked Tyler Reddick, and
- 10:58Tyler Reddick said straight up, yes.
- 11:00He hates to say it, he hates to admit it, but because of the
- 11:03car, the Daytona 500 has lost its luster.
- 11:06That's the crown jewel event. As Dale Junior said a week or
- 11:11two ago, that's our Super Bowl. If you have less in the Super
- 11:16Bowl, what are we doing? And that's because of the car.
- 11:19Again, we're having two debates at the same time.
- 11:22My, my, my number one thing is always going to be the car.
- 11:27But today the news is the playoffs.
- 11:29And you guys are passionate about both of those things.
- 11:32And again, that poll that I just put out there, very small sample
- 11:36size, but 75% of you are thinking, hey, we'd rather see
- 11:40the car fixed than the playoff format.
- 11:42But I just think it's fascinating.
- 11:44And again, read Jeff Gluck's article I did, he puts out the
- 11:48five points and they're they're very, they're very interesting.
- 11:51I mentioned the TV ratings are falling.
- 11:54There was a discussion about superstar drivers and I think
- 11:58this is interesting. The reason I like the playoffs
- 12:02is because of the elimination style.
- 12:04But think about it like this, throughout the playoffs, you
- 12:08don't focus on the best drivers because what's all the drama
- 12:12about? The drama is about the cut line.
- 12:16And I think if you look this year, once we get to the final
- 12:19eight, I think you're going to really see 8 legitimate drivers
- 12:23that are deserving that have a chance to win the play offs.
- 12:26Maybe more like 5. But my point is at Bristol there
- 12:31wasn't cut line drama, but if there was, the focus was going
- 12:35to be on guys like Shane van Gisbergen, Austin Dillon, who
- 12:39else didn't make it? Josh Berry had a couple wrecks.
- 12:43You have you have another cut off race coming up in a couple
- 12:46weeks at Charlotte. Now we focus on who wins the
- 12:49races. Sure, we talked about Joe Gibbs
- 12:51dominating the first leg of the play offs.
- 12:53We talked about just this past week, of course, Penske coming
- 12:57back, Ryan Blaney wins the race. But throughout the play offs, a
- 13:01lot of the discussion is more about the back end drivers that
- 13:06get eliminated every three races.
- 13:08And so in this article and and NASCAR, I think they're thinking
- 13:12very smartly here. They're thinking how do we
- 13:14create superstar drivers? How do we how do we make the
- 13:18focus for the play offs on the superstars, on Denny Hamlin,
- 13:24Kyle Larson, whoever it is, William Byron, Ryan Blaney And I
- 13:29think this is apartment. The focus really isn't on the
- 13:33actual superstars, the guys that really have a chance to win the
- 13:38championship until the final two races, until Martinsville, where
- 13:44you're saying, OK, we're going from 8:00 to 4:00.
- 13:46And then you have that whole week, you have a media, you have
- 13:50a media week, right? You have media availabilities.
- 13:52But then that whole week is about the top 4.
- 13:55But it's kind of one week, right?
- 13:58It's kind of one or two weeks where NASCAR's argument is
- 14:02probably, well, if we want to make these guys superstars again
- 14:07and give Jeff Glock credit in his article, he brings up guys
- 14:11like back in the day that could host Saturday Night Live.
- 14:14He's talking about a Jeff Gordon.
- 14:16He's talking about a Dale senior, a Dale junior, Rusty
- 14:20Wallace, whoever, guys that could become superstars away
- 14:25from the track. And I agree with that.
- 14:28If you're trying to create superstars, you need the focus
- 14:32to be more on Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Ryan Blaney, whoever it
- 14:37is, Christopher Bell for the majority of the 10 weeks of the
- 14:41playoffs and not just the final week or two.
- 14:45Because again, we're focusing mostly on who's getting
- 14:48eliminated in the round of 16, the round of 12.
- 14:52Again, the round of eight. I think it really gets more
- 14:55legitimate in the round of eight.
- 14:57And and look, I'll bring this up right now, but if you see who
- 15:01probably is going to make it to the round of eight, you start to
- 15:05say, OK, we're really we're really getting to the guys that
- 15:10really have a chance. We're really getting to the
- 15:12studs. Let's just think about it right
- 15:14now, OK? Right now the cut line is Bubba
- 15:18Wallace, Tyler Reddick, Austin Syndrich, Ross Chastain.
- 15:21Now Tyler Reddick made the Final four last year, hasn't had a
- 15:25great season this year. I would argue that Ross Chastain
- 15:28is right there knocking on the door to being a star.
- 15:32We know a couple years back there was kind of a neutering.
- 15:36Right when Rick Hendrick said I'm tired of him wrecking our
- 15:39cars. I thought that was bad for
- 15:40business. I think most people thought that
- 15:42was bad for business. But my point is, look at the top
- 15:458 right now. Ryan Blaney, William Byron, Kyle
- 15:49Larson, C Bell, Denny Hamlin, Joey Logano, Chase Elliott,
- 15:55Chase Briscoe. Those are big name drivers.
- 15:58Those are the superstars of the sport.
- 16:01Chase Briscoe is the one guy who I'd say, and he's kind of
- 16:04elevating himself this year now that he's with Joe Gibbs Racing.
- 16:08But I mean, and, and so give Chase Briscoe all the credit in
- 16:10the world, but Blaney, Byron, Larson, Bell, Hamlin, Magano
- 16:15Elliott, those are the names. Those are when you go to the
- 16:18track, you see the merch, you see the fans wearing all those
- 16:22guys shirts, hats and all that. Those are the superstars.
- 16:26And that's what NASCAR wants more of the focus on in the
- 16:29playoffs as opposed to the cut line.
- 16:32So I think this is fascinating. We've gone 16 minutes and I'll
- 16:36go to your comments now. Thank you so much for watching
- 16:39145 of you. Please give us a like that helps
- 16:43us with the algorithm on good old YouTube.
- 16:45Also, I'm going to put this on Kenny Wallace media.
- 16:47So you could be listening on podcasts right now, even though
- 16:50it's technically not live. We're live now, but later on
- 16:53podcast, you'll be listening to the recorded version is my
- 16:57point. And also, if you haven't
- 16:58subscribed yet, please do that. We appreciate all of you love
- 17:01you all. OK, Papa Paxton, we're going
- 17:04back here. Couple 20 minutes.
- 17:06Haven't seen the video yet, but the headline is hilarious.
- 17:08But it's true. NASCAR is considering a 36 race
- 17:12championship format. Mark Martin is excited this
- 17:16morning. All right, Zook 83 says please
- 17:19do. Ed Freeman says Mark, he knew
- 17:22earlier. I asked the question.
- 17:23I said who loves this news more than anybody and it's Mark the
- 17:27kid. Martin, as Kenny Wall says from
- 17:29Batesville, AR, he is smiling this morning.
- 17:33Louis Nado says about time they should go back to 36 races and
- 17:38earn it. Kendrick going to be great to
- 17:43crown a champion with three races left in the season.
- 17:45Some sarcasm there, but also that's greatness.
- 17:49If there's a driver who runs away with it, that's greatness.
- 17:52It's not going to happen every year.
- 17:54Sometimes you got to just bow down to greatness.
- 17:57Let's see. Brian Mccorchick, he always
- 17:59joins the live streams. I appreciate that it's a better
- 18:02way to determine a champion, but it has the chance to be boring
- 18:05and anti climactic. I agree, but I also, I mean
- 18:08NASCAR. They need to try things.
- 18:10I wouldn't mind them trying it and going back to the playoffs.
- 18:13Try it for a couple years. Right?
- 18:16Let's see James Barker. If NASCAR does away with this
- 18:19ridiculous point system, I might start watching again.
- 18:22How about that? Good time, says good morning,
- 18:24good morning. Let's see DC322.
- 18:28Martin was very vocal about the playoff format being a joke.
- 18:32I'm for the 36 race championship format.
- 18:34Let the best driver win. I hear that.
- 18:36I do like some semblance of the playoffs myself, but I'd like to
- 18:40see it more legitimate. So I don't want to see one race.
- 18:43I think it'd be cool if they go to 36 races just for something
- 18:46different after 2021 years, 22 years, whatever it'll be.
- 18:50But I also wouldn't mind them trying to trying the three or
- 18:53four race championship final and seeing if that changes things.
- 18:57We'll see. NASCAR couldn't fix a sandwich
- 19:02in the middle of a Subway restaurant.
- 19:05Come on now. I went to Subway a couple weeks
- 19:07ago, Brian says. I think with the parity and
- 19:11competition we have today, it should be compelling coming down
- 19:13to the final race. Still.
- 19:14I agree with that also, Brian. So you'll watch over a more
- 19:19fairpoint system even if the races aren't good.
- 19:23Well, that gets back to my original argument.
- 19:24I think fixing the next Gen. car fixes all of this.
- 19:28In my opinion, the core of this board is the racing.
- 19:32That's that's the biggest, that's the biggest issue.
- 19:36Martinsville looks like a total rain out.
- 19:39We're already looking ahead to the rain, to the weather.
- 19:43What is that about month and 1/2 from now?
- 19:46Chris Wolfe. The more important question is
- 19:48why you left Herman Schrader. I'm still I'm still producing
- 19:52Kenny conversations. Herman Schrader they got a new
- 19:55producer. It's all good.
- 19:57And hey, sometimes you have you have creative differences.
- 20:01It's all good. And this allows me to have all
- 20:04of my time devoted to the Kenny Wallace YouTube right, Building
- 20:10this up and Kenny Wallace Media, our own podcast, but Herman
- 20:14Schrader and Kenny conversations.
- 20:16You have great podcasts over there on Dirty MO Media as well.
- 20:21Boomer Taylor. I've been following NASCAR since
- 20:24the 70s. Shameless Trucking.
- 20:28It doesn't matter what NASCAR does until they fix the crappy
- 20:30car. That's always been my first and
- 20:34foremost point. I try to be nice about it.
- 20:38I try to be nice about it. I've I've held this opinion for
- 20:41a couple years now. That's the main issue.
- 20:43It's the core of the sport is the racing of the cars.
- 20:48That's it. There's nothing else that
- 20:50matters more. Joshua Roberts, Charlie M David,
- 20:54I don't care, I just like watching races.
- 20:56I love that Martinsville won't rain out lol.
- 21:00Unless it's for a hurricane. Tim Ferguson, yes, the
- 21:03championship, the Champions should be earned.
- 21:07Jesse James. Their TV schedule is ridiculous
- 21:09now. I've heard a lot of people
- 21:11complain about this too, and I think it's a valid I think it's
- 21:14a valid complaint. Are you talking about the fact
- 21:16they're on all different networks and they're jumping
- 21:17around Fox prime, NBC Turner, Is that what you're saying?
- 21:26All sports are going to that model that that's where the NFL,
- 21:31the NFL really has it made, though, because the NFL is on so
- 21:34much network television. You got Fox and CBS on Sundays,
- 21:39you have NBC Sunday Night Football.
- 21:41You have a BCESPN for I know it's ESPN, but Monday Night
- 21:46Football. I know they're doing the thing
- 21:47with prime on Thursdays. I get that.
- 21:50I get that. I'm I'm with you.
- 21:52I'm kind of old school, but I'm not super old.
- 21:54But look, I have to have all these streamings for my kids
- 21:57shows, but I get it. It's frustrating when you grab
- 22:00the remote and you got to go. Oh, you know what is it?
- 22:03What channel? USANBC, Fox Prime streaming.
- 22:06You got to switch remotes. You got the TV remote, you got
- 22:08the smart TV streaming remote. I get that.
- 22:12Unfortunately, that's the way all sports are going.
- 22:13And NASCAR got a big TV deal because they got all those.
- 22:18They got all those networks to buck up.
- 22:19By the way, while we're talking about the TV ratings, I thought
- 22:23this was fascinating. Yesterday I saw, I saw Denny
- 22:28Hamlin, I saw Corey Lajoie, I saw Eric Estep, who's really
- 22:32good here on YouTube, all discussing the ratings yesterday
- 22:36and how to fix it. All these guys want to fix it.
- 22:40And one thing they brought up was they thought that because
- 22:44the TD partners had to put so much money into getting the
- 22:49races that there wasn't as much money leftover for all of the
- 22:53programming to support the races, which I think is a very
- 22:56interesting point. Go to Eric Estep's tweet
- 22:59yesterday and you'll see Denny Hamlin and Corey Lajoie weighing
- 23:03in. I think that's interesting.
- 23:04So the point is, you can't just have the races.
- 23:07This is where Prime knocked it out of the park.
- 23:10Prime had the the great pregame, the hour long post game.
- 23:14It was fun, right? This is where people are talking
- 23:17about you need to have race day. You need to have a show
- 23:20throughout the week supporting the races, not just pre game,
- 23:25pre race, post race, but throughout the week, programming
- 23:30that gets you promoting the sport throughout the week from
- 23:34race to race. I've seen people discuss Sunday
- 23:36Night Football, NBC, that they need to mention the races, even
- 23:41if it's on, even if it's on USA. I mean, that is a huge audience.
- 23:45Sunday Night Football just to kind of have a quick little
- 23:47promo, remind people that NBC has the playoff races.
- 23:51I think these are all valid concerns.
- 23:52And again, this is yesterday. Denny Hamlin, Corey Lajoie, Eric
- 23:56Eastef, a lot of people talking about this yesterday.
- 23:59I think it's good. It's good healthy conversation
- 24:01about the TV ratings, which then spins into today's news about
- 24:05NASCAR still considering the 36 race championship format.
- 24:09And again, I don't think they consider this if the TV ratings
- 24:13are good. I don't, that's my opinion.
- 24:15I don't think they consider this if the TV ratings are the same
- 24:18as last year or better. I think they're reacting to a
- 24:21month's worth of low TV ratings for the play offs.
- 24:26I'll reiterate what I said earlier.
- 24:27If the whole point of play offs is creating the excitement, the
- 24:31Game 7 moments and you're not getting those and the TV ratings
- 24:35don't reflect that, well then yeah, you have to consider
- 24:38everything. You have to consider going back
- 24:40potentially to the 36 race championship format.
- 24:44That will get Mark Martin super excited.
- 24:47Let's see, Kendrick says. There have been great teams that
- 24:51haven't won a Super Bowl or championships when they should
- 24:54have. That's just the way it is.
- 24:55The team that does the best on championship game day wins.
- 25:00Chris, what do you mean he left them?
- 25:02No, he was talking about Herman Trader.
- 25:05I'm no longer producing Herman Trader, but I produce
- 25:08everything. I produce Kenny Conversations.
- 25:11I'm still working with the folks at Dirty MO Media.
- 25:13I'm still working with the producer, Craig, great guy.
- 25:16I'm still helping everybody out. That's just what it is, is it's
- 25:19taking hours from my week, whatever it is.
- 25:22Nobody cares about this. But if I was working 15 hours on
- 25:25Herman Trader, I can now take that 15 hours and put it back
- 25:28into the Kenny Wallace YouTube channel and put it back into the
- 25:32Kenny Wallace Media podcast. That's that's the point.
- 25:35I bootleg races on Twitch. I don't, but I get it.
- 25:41I have to say I'm not going to. I'm not going to name any names.
- 25:44I'm not going to say I would do this.
- 25:45But there are apps out there where you can take a paywalled
- 25:50article and dump it into this app and it removes the paywall.
- 25:55That's all I'm saying. I know these apps exist.
- 25:58I know these websites exist. I'm not saying I would ever use
- 26:00them. I'm just saying they exist.
- 26:03And I have to say so maybe Dana White is going to sue me for
- 26:06this. There has been a time, there's
- 26:09been AUFC fight, a big boxing match.
- 26:12And again, not me, I'm not saying I would ever do this, but
- 26:18you might go to Twitter and you might just kind of search, fight
- 26:22stream, fight illegal stream and maybe something comes up.
- 26:27Again, I'm not saying I would ever do this.
- 26:29I'm saying people have done that.
- 26:31It is possible, OK? That's all I'm saying, Boomer
- 26:35Taylor says. I've been following NASCAR since
- 26:38the 70s. Playoffs are for baseball.
- 26:40A continuous point system and championship, as it was under
- 26:43Winston Cup, is what built NASCAR and what will bring it
- 26:46back. I love it.
- 26:47I hope it's I hope it's the case.
- 26:49I wonder if they're going to do this.
- 26:52When you get it out there, you get fans excited.
- 26:55Let's see Tim Ferguson. All playoff races should be on
- 26:58regular TV so everybody can see them.
- 27:01Why should we pay to watch NASCAR?
- 27:03That's fair, David, we got too many low T crybaby men that are
- 27:10harder to please than a woman. Women can be hard to please
- 27:14sometimes, right? Sometimes.
- 27:19Let's see, it's on USA. Ed Freeman says it's on USA and
- 27:23against college Pro Football. How is a driver with 120 point
- 27:26lead going to improve ratings versus 4 drivers within 25
- 27:30points? Just saying.
- 27:32All valid points, Jim Hubbler. Hubbler.
- 27:37I can't be the only one that knows NASCAR is just in this
- 27:39business for the money. Well, first of all, everybody's
- 27:42in business for money or or to entertain, to do good things.
- 27:47Let's be honest. Do you go to work for fun?
- 27:50Do I do these videos for fun? Yeah, they're fun.
- 27:53Does Kenny, come on here? What?
- 27:54Do you do it for free? Kenny loves NASCAR.
- 27:56I love NASCAR. This is a job also.
- 27:59You're doing it for money. Would you go to your job every
- 28:01day, five days a week, 40 hours a week if you weren't getting
- 28:04paid? Let's be real, Everybody's in
- 28:07it. This is capitalism, baby.
- 28:09You're in it to make money. And guess what?
- 28:12NASCAR changes their decision making when their money is
- 28:16affected. Lower TV ratings affect the
- 28:19money. Higher TV ratings affect the
- 28:21money. They just did the huge $7.7
- 28:24billion TV deal. These leagues are, they're
- 28:28already looking forward to the next deal.
- 28:30They're already looking forward to the next deal.
- 28:32How do they turn 7.7 billion into 10 billion or whatever the
- 28:35next TV deal? You know how you do that?
- 28:38Higher TV ratings, higher TV ratings.
- 28:40So next time you go, hey, our ratings used to be whatever
- 28:43million .5. Now it's 2, whatever.
- 28:46That's how you get 10 billion for your next TV deal.
- 28:50James Barker too many illegitimate champions.
- 28:55See, I don't, I don't think of them as illegitimate champions.
- 28:58I understand why you would say that they were the best at the
- 29:02format. I, I will say, I will say it's
- 29:06not the best way to crown a champion, but I'm not going to
- 29:09fault Joey Logano and Penske for being clutch when it matters the
- 29:12most, Right. Everybody says, oh, Joey Logano,
- 29:15he didn't do anything for 26 races.
- 29:17Well, he did enough to get in and then he did the best over 10
- 29:21races. And I don't love the format.
- 29:24I would not call any of these champions Logano, Blaney,
- 29:29Logano. That's the order I would not
- 29:32call. And whoever wins this year, I
- 29:34would never call them an illegitimate champion.
- 29:36I would not. However, I will say it's not the
- 29:39best way to crown a champion. I think that's fair Kendrick.
- 29:46No matter what you do, you aren't going to please everyone.
- 29:48They don't like playoff format. Then when championship is won
- 29:51with three races left, they will be mad that it's not exciting.
- 29:53I get that, but it's more about the majority of people what they
- 29:57want. David.
- 29:59And without the money there wouldn't be a race.
- 30:01So true. Roscoe Treat Over the last 40
- 30:05years I have followed NASCAR. I believe when they introduced
- 30:08the Chase for the Cup, I thought it was cool, but I was still
- 30:10slightly younger then. Now that all these years passed,
- 30:14it has failed. I don't mind them trying
- 30:17something. Jim Hubbler.
- 30:21They don't care about the drivers, the owners or the fans,
- 30:23just the money. Well, I think they care about
- 30:27all of it. They probably don't like being
- 30:29sued right now by a couple teams.
- 30:31I do think. I think they care about the
- 30:33fans. I do.
- 30:34Do they care about the money? Every business carries about
- 30:37money the most. But if you care about the fans,
- 30:40the money comes and I think they've listened to you fans.
- 30:43First of all, they're listening to the fans now and the TV
- 30:46ratings, which is money. They're listening to you and
- 30:49saying we might go back to 36 races.
- 30:51They listen to you fans and said, hey, let's go back to some
- 30:53of the tracks. The Bowman, Gray's, the North,
- 30:56Wilkesboro, Rockingham, They're listening to you fans.
- 31:00Don't you think they're going into new markets?
- 31:03Saint Louis has a cup race. We love it here.
- 31:05It's fantastic. They're trying things.
- 31:07Mexico, they tried the the Clash in LA, they're going to move
- 31:12that around. They're trying Rd. course, St.
- 31:14courses, Chicago, San Diego. I give them credit.
- 31:17Not everything's going to work. You got to give them credit for
- 31:19trying. And some of those races have
- 31:21been really, really cool. I think not everyone's a home
- 31:23run. A lot of them have been really,
- 31:26really cool. Let's see Shameless Trucking get
- 31:29the car back up off the ground make the car travel high
- 31:33horsepower lack of tire if you have to make it or they actually
- 31:36have to drive the damn thing. Yeah, again, that's that's my
- 31:39number one thing I've said this all along.
- 31:40I've been very consistent for two years.
- 31:42Fix the car. Everything else falls into place
- 31:46make it racier. I miss speed weeks good time.
- 31:51The next generation car is trash and this modern format is a
- 31:54dumpster fire. That's from Roscoe Treat harsh
- 31:57words. Lee Page Get rid of the green
- 32:00white checkered. The drivers will start driving
- 32:02better and not give them an opportunity 3 or 4 different
- 32:05times to win a race. I think there's a happy medium
- 32:08there. I think green white checkereds
- 32:09are also exciting. I don't want six of them, but
- 32:13yeah, I mean, is there a manufactured excitement out of a
- 32:15green white checkered? Yes, that's fair.
- 32:19Ultimate 3 gamer yes. The reason why they're on so
- 32:23many networks right now is because they took the bag and
- 32:26ran with no regards for fan complaints.
- 32:29Well, you got to take the bag. They took the TV bag.
- 32:33TV wants ratings. TV.
- 32:35You don't think TV wants ratings to sell ads?
- 32:38TV wants the ratings to improve. I'm telling you this, this live
- 32:42stream I'm doing right now is because they're listening.
- 32:45NASCAR listens to you by you not watching the races.
- 32:49That's how they listen. Good times.
- 32:52Says too many educated idiots making decisions for NASCAR.
- 32:55Keep it simple, David. Can you imagine the Truck Series
- 32:59championship going to anyone other than the stud winning it
- 33:02all, talking about Corey Heim? Yeah, that's some of these
- 33:07years. You do think, man, if Corey Heim
- 33:11doesn't win the championship this year, there are some years
- 33:14where it's just like, you know what?
- 33:16Give it to the dude. Just give it to the dude.
- 33:19He's freaking earned it. Corey Heim has nine wins this
- 33:23year. Remember a couple years back,
- 33:26wasn't it Noah Gregson that won a ton of races, but he didn't
- 33:28win the championship when Ty Gibbs wasn't?
- 33:30Wasn't it the year Ty Gibbs won it, but Noah Gregson was the one
- 33:33who won a million races that year in Xfinity?
- 33:36It happens. I do think when you have
- 33:39dominance, when you have a dude win 98910 races, that dude
- 33:43deserves to win the championship.
- 33:44Sorry Roscoe Treat, I missed Daytona speed weeks and hate
- 33:50these portable tracks along with crapshoot Rd. courses.
- 33:54I'd I'd probably take a less less of a road course schedule.
- 33:57I also think you need to spread them out.
- 33:58I'd probably take one less Rd. course.
- 34:01I don't really like Rd. courses either.
- 34:03I like street courses though and I thought Coda was a good race.
- 34:06But overall I'm not a fan of Rd. courses.
- 34:09I'm an Oval guy, barn burner gaming.
- 34:13Every single race would be a playoff race.
- 34:15If it's a 36 race season, every single race is part of your
- 34:17championship. I agree.
- 34:20Now a lot of you, I don't even know if I can get to all you
- 34:22guys. There's a million comments and I
- 34:25really appreciate it. Roscoe treat.
- 34:28The segments are garbage. What about this though?
- 34:32I like the ability to go to the bathroom during a stage.
- 34:35I kind of like stage racing. However, what if you just keep
- 34:39them running? You pay the lap, but you keep
- 34:42them running so then a driver who has a big lead can hold on
- 34:46to that lead. I think that's more fair.
- 34:49Tim Ferguson, if they're not going to eliminate the play
- 34:52offs, I think the regular season champion should be automatically
- 34:55put in the final race of the year because he earned it.
- 34:57I'm for that, I'm for that You win, you're in is also trash.
- 35:03I think that does that does create a lot of excitement
- 35:05during the regular season, though.
- 35:07I'm not totally against that. What about if you win 2 races?
- 35:11You're definitely in two races Because I think some of the
- 35:15superspeedway luck isn't super fair, but it also creates a lot
- 35:20of good storylines. Good time.
- 35:24Remember guys, most drivers are told not to speak other than
- 35:27what they're told to say. But that's another thing NASCAR
- 35:30needs to change. Can't we all agree?
- 35:31You want more of the old school? You want more guys talking,
- 35:34talking smack, maybe some fights.
- 35:38That's good for business. Denny Hamlin talking trash.
- 35:41That's good for business. Roscoe Treat, regular series
- 35:47champion, is the season winner. That is all that matters.
- 35:50Not everyone deserves a trophy. DEI and Woke has destroyed the
- 35:53sport. James Adney says I'll go back to
- 35:57watching NASCAR. I'm guessing he's saying if they
- 36:00go back to the 36 race championship format, as it
- 36:03should be. Ben Gerrard.
- 36:06Let's see, gosh, there's so many of you guys commenting.
- 36:08I really appreciate it. I don't know if I can get to all
- 36:10you guys because this is a lot. I'm trying.
- 36:13Hey, as long as you're watching, I'll keep going.
- 36:16I'll keep going. Here we go.
- 36:18Let's go back 936. I'm 18 minutes behind on the
- 36:22chat. I appreciate you guys jumping in
- 36:25though. That's why we do these, to talk
- 36:27with you guys. Tennessee Smokey The NASCAR Cup
- 36:31Series championship should be based on the race teams, which
- 36:33demonstrate week in and week out that they're worthy of being the
- 36:36NASCAR Cup Series championship. Period.
- 36:40Jimmy Howard Let's be crystal clear.
- 36:43If the 23 won the championship under this format, it would be
- 36:46the greatest format ever. NASCAR executives and woke
- 36:49sponsors would be licking themselves like a cat talking
- 36:52about Bubba Wallace. I don't know about that.
- 36:56I think Bubba is good for business too.
- 36:58I understand all the stuff back in the day with the noose I I
- 37:02think I think he gets a lot of hate that he doesn't deserve
- 37:05also. But that was a spectacle.
- 37:08I think we can all agree Jeremy Gilley.
- 37:10Other sports have play offs yes. However the teams aren't
- 37:14competing against every other team on the field every week.
- 37:16Motorsports can't be treated like stick and ball sports.
- 37:19That's fair. Max Smith says yes. 36 race
- 37:22championship. Maybe put the whole weekend on
- 37:26one TV channel. I will say this, the Xfinity
- 37:29ratings have been pretty good. You tell me guys, that's on what
- 37:32The CW network. Do you guys like the fact that
- 37:35you can count on Xfinity being on CW every Saturday, network
- 37:40TV? It's also great racing.
- 37:43A lot of people think Xfinity racing is better overall racing.
- 37:46Not better drivers, but better racing because of the car.
- 37:50That guy. When you talk about points
- 37:52leaders for 36 races, you create superstars.
- 37:54Talking about them for two races after you forgot they won the
- 37:57second race of the year makes ghosts.
- 37:59I agree, and I said that earlier.
- 38:02Donnie S Bring back the Chase. If we had it, we would watch an
- 38:05extremely close battle between Briscoe and Blaney.
- 38:08How about that? That's fair. 1-2 playoff format
- 38:13is done. All drivers, every race is in a
- 38:16playoff. Jimmy Howard as far as ratings.
- 38:20The sport is so sanitized, is too sanitized and vanilla.
- 38:24You want to see rivalries ever again.
- 38:26They want all the drivers to get out of their car after the race
- 38:28and hug and kiss five star. Yeah, that'll shut up the cry
- 38:34babies until next year when the champion doesn't win a race.
- 38:37That would be that would be difficult.
- 38:40That would be difficult, especially with the parody.
- 38:43So many different winners. Why can't they have season
- 38:46champion plus the playoffs after champion?
- 38:51I kind of like this idea. You know, I was thinking about,
- 38:55I was going WWE, remember back in the day, probably still I
- 38:59don't watch WWE anymore. Remember they had the WWE
- 39:02Heavyweight Champion of the world.
- 39:05Then also they had the Intercontinental, the
- 39:08Intercontinental belt. Remember that?
- 39:09They probably still have it. I don't know, just a way to have
- 39:12another championship. I was kind of thinking about
- 39:14that. You have the season long points
- 39:17winner, you have the playoff winner, but also the season
- 39:23would matter more. You race differently, probably
- 39:26couldn't do that in racing. You would race totally different
- 39:29if you're racing for a season long championship or if you're
- 39:32racing for an elimination style. You'd take more risks obviously
- 39:38to win a race in elimination style format, whereas the season
- 39:42long of course reward you for consistency.
- 39:44Race in race out. You're really penalized for bad
- 39:48performances, whereas you're not really penalized that much for a
- 39:52bad performance with this format.
- 39:53If you if you DNF whatever you want to race, you're in the
- 39:57playoffs. Let's see Misses or Mr.
- 40:05Asmussen. The one or two weeks at the end
- 40:08of the playoffs aren't necessarily superstars.
- 40:10They may have been 30th place finishers one or two weeks at
- 40:15the end. I mean, even Joey Logano, if
- 40:18you're saying Joey Logano isn't deserving, he's still a
- 40:22superstar. I mean, he's a, what, three time
- 40:25champion? How many wins?
- 40:2630 plus wins? He's going to be a Hall of
- 40:28Famer. I understand if you say in one
- 40:30particular year you thought it wasn't the most legitimate deal.
- 40:33I get that. But I don't think you can say
- 40:35Joey Logano himself is not a superstar.
- 40:39We got grim prospects. The season long point system can
- 40:42still use stages and bonus points to keep it exciting while
- 40:45rewarding the drivers and teams that do the most work and get
- 40:48the best results. To me, it's a no brainer.
- 40:50By the way, thank you again for watching 41 Minutes.
- 40:53We're going got 135 of you watching live on YouTube.
- 40:59We're going to replay this on the Kenny Wallace Media Podcast.
- 41:04I'm going to go to YouTube real quick.
- 41:05I want to see how many people have watched total.
- 41:08Total views 12141. Thank you, 12141 People have
- 41:12watched this since we started about 41 minutes ago.
- 41:16Robert Das Daisy says bring NASCAR back to Wisconsin.
- 41:23Carrie Faber. I love Prime.
- 41:25I did too. I thought Prime was great.
- 41:27And Lee Page, I love the prime TV.
- 41:29The bet they had the best out of all of them yeah we're kind of
- 41:32going back here. I'm I'm 20 minutes behind on the
- 41:34chat so we're kind of we're kind of bringing up things I talked
- 41:37about 20 minutes ago but it's fine because so many people have
- 41:40you have commented that I have to go backwards.
- 41:43Just delightful. A single streaming solution
- 41:46would help most yes, but then you couldn't squeeze the most
- 41:49money out of what 4 different networks you're able to and I
- 41:54say squeeze with love it's money, it's capitalism.
- 41:56You're able to squeeze the dollars out of Fox.
- 42:00NBC Prime. Turner I feel like I'm milking
- 42:04cows here with the utters. That's how you maximize your TV
- 42:07deal and you have the different partners broadcast networks
- 42:12bidding against each other. Dwight Hall NASCAR needs one TV
- 42:17channel available for everyone. Donnie S Prime actually took the
- 42:21sport seriously. Just delightful, says Eric talks
- 42:25to everyone like we are children.
- 42:26Eric Eastup I like him. I think he's pretty factual and
- 42:30matter of fact. Lee Page says get rid of the
- 42:34stages also. Then the teams can have
- 42:35different strategies instead of NASCAR determining their
- 42:38strategy. Yeah, that also gets back to the
- 42:40car with me if you fix the car. Somebody said this in a comment
- 42:43earlier, which I think was really a good comment.
- 42:45They said, they said they like strategy in NASCAR, but because
- 42:51of the car, they said there's too much focus on a particular
- 42:55race of a fuel saving strategy or a tire strategy because of
- 42:59this particular car. They're saying they like
- 43:02strategies. They don't like the fact that a
- 43:04particular race is totally dictated by a tire strategy or a
- 43:09fuel saving strategy because of the car.
- 43:11And I think that's a very good point.
- 43:14Somebody said that earlier, I don't remember who either on
- 43:16this chat or on YouTube, and I thought that was very smart.
- 43:20Somebody says I'm watching cockroaches blank.
- 43:24It's more entertaining. I'm not going to put up your
- 43:26swear word, OK, But I do enjoy cussing.
- 43:30Fred Hagif. Fix the car, then go from there.
- 43:33The playoffs, I think it should be at least 8 drivers battling
- 43:36for a championship. The final four has run its
- 43:38course. Thanks, Charlie.
- 43:39OK, I'm agreeing with you there. Fix the car first.
- 43:42Everything else falls into place.
- 43:43But I was thinking about this when it was floated out that you
- 43:47could have like a six race, 66 driver final for three or four
- 43:54races. I still kind of like the
- 43:56elimination though. What about this?
- 43:59You want all the drivers to be able to battle at the end.
- 44:01What if you did this though? Let's go four race championship.
- 44:04Let's say we're not going back to 36 races.
- 44:06Let's say we're going to four race championship.
- 44:08Final start with six drivers, but you still eliminate the last
- 44:13place driver after each race. So third race you got 5 drivers
- 44:19going for it. Second to last race, you have 4
- 44:23final race, you have three drivers going for it.
- 44:26Now you can also start with seven, then you can still get
- 44:29your final four. My point is you still eliminate
- 44:331 driver, but the drivers left the last three or four in this
- 44:37scenario would still encompass all of their performances over 3
- 44:42or 4 races, so it's more fair. What do you guys think of that?
- 44:45I don't know, just think it out loud.
- 44:48Carrie Faber, I don't like that the in car camera went to H Bo
- 44:51Max. I'm not grading upgrading my
- 44:54plan to watch, but I miss watching Ross's in car.
- 44:57Yep, Noah's athletics says it's not a playoff, it's a race off.
- 45:02Call it what it is please good Sir.
- 45:06Just delightful. The format won't fix it alone.
- 45:09Dumping races on USA Network is at least half the problem.
- 45:12I understand people complaining about TVI get it?
- 45:15We said that earlier. Tennessee Smokey This version of
- 45:18the NASCAR Cup Series car is lacking seriously in competitive
- 45:20performance. The cars are slower on most of
- 45:22the speedways, qualifying and fastest lap averages.
- 45:25Race fans want speed. Yes, I've said this forever fix
- 45:29the car first. Everything else falls into
- 45:31place. Samuel Farish 36 race season is
- 45:35a win. Thank God, says Todd.
- 45:38Bring back the old school to the sport.
- 45:41Jimmy Howard says before every race on big screen.
- 45:44Mike H, Robbie P boys have at it.
- 45:48The crowd would go wild. Boys have at it.
- 45:53Going back to oh, Robin Pemberton days.
- 45:55Yes, Robbie P we got Toby has people become complete morons
- 46:02with the TV. The first part of the season is
- 46:04on Fox and FS1, then five races on Amazon, then five on TNT,
- 46:09then the last stretch is USA and NBC.
- 46:11It's not rocket science. Well, I will say for this
- 46:15format, you obviously you got network there.
- 46:17If you want to go old school rabbit ears, you got cable with
- 46:21FS1, with TNT with USA and then you got streaming with Amazon.
- 46:26So three different platforms, cable, network and streaming.
- 46:32But yeah, like you said, that's what that's how many different
- 46:35channels, FOX, FS1, Amazon, TNTUSA, NBC.
- 46:44Are any of the Turner races on TBSI?
- 46:45Can't remember. I'm not sure.
- 46:49Let's see. John Haas need Kenny and
- 46:52Junior's opinion about having race and Victory Lane show every
- 46:55week. I think NASCAR though, should do
- 46:57like SMI does with Kenny and Junior, especially for the 500
- 47:03and championship race. I like that idea.
- 47:05By the way, we're 47 minutes in. One of the reasons I started
- 47:09this live stream also is because you know Kenny does his coffee
- 47:14with Kenny's. I haven't checked here in the
- 47:17last 47 minutes. We'll see if Kenny's done one.
- 47:19I also I need to jump off this and edit his.
- 47:24There you go 28 minutes ago. Coffee with Kenny is NASCAR
- 47:28going back to 36 points races, So I know you guys want to hear
- 47:33from Kenny more than me. I get it.
- 47:36So I'll wrap this up in a second here and I'll post Kenny's video
- 47:40because you want to hear from Kenny.
- 47:41Don't watch it on Twitter, don't watch it on Facebook, watch it
- 47:45on YouTube. See, it's all about the money.
- 47:47It all comes down to money. I have to say, Jeffrey King, I
- 47:51want a 10 race chase between best 10 drivers and after 26 add
- 47:55extra points for wins per race. Tell you what, I'll go 2 more
- 47:57minutes to make it 50 minutes because I got to get Kenny's
- 47:59video on. Blake Brewer says I love Lamp,
- 48:03just like Anchorman Steve Carell's character, I love Lamp,
- 48:08just delightful. I would pay for a singular app
- 48:11for all series, but I'm not doing 10 apps so instead I sail
- 48:14the high seas. Try Spider.
- 48:18Would love to see the whole series on Prime.
- 48:20No more starting late because another sporting event ran over.
- 48:22No more cutting off post race interviews because the race ran
- 48:25late Prime for every race. John Haas says 100%.
- 48:30Toby you guys are talking to each other.
- 48:34Roscoe Treat NASCAR might work better if they provide their own
- 48:38channel like Fox does with SPEED.
- 48:41Let's see. Just delightful.
- 48:43Kenny just lectured us so we could go that NASCAR is fine
- 48:49coming after Kenny Wallace. Hey, Kenny Wallace took shots at
- 48:51me yesterday, OK, a week ago. Kenny also likes to have fun,
- 48:57OK, we embellish sometimes we have fun.
- 49:00It's comedy, right? You take one comment that's bad,
- 49:04you do a whole video on it. That's kind of what we do
- 49:06sometimes in the media business. But I feel like for the most
- 49:09part, we're fair. Aren't we talking to you?
- 49:11Pretty fair. Shooting straight with you here,
- 49:14Roscoe Treat. Unfortunately, Fox deliberately
- 49:17killed speed by becoming FS1. Did you watch the video, by the
- 49:20way, with myself and John Roberts about why Speed Channel
- 49:24went away? It's on the channel, it's very
- 49:26good. It's on Kenny Wallace Media.
- 49:27Check it out. Justin Kids, I haven't had no
- 49:32interest in NASCAR for 20 years. I like Kenny's channel though.
- 49:35Thank you. This would get me interested.
- 49:36I would love to see the Cup Series go to GT3 cars.
- 49:41There's some typos in there. Lisa Jones.
- 49:43Thanks, Charlie. Love the info.
- 49:46Why can't they figure out what works?
- 49:47They need better customer service.
- 49:49Lol. They're listening, you guys,
- 49:51folks. They're listening, though.
- 49:52They're trying things. OK Justin Bean says bring back
- 49:57the top ten final races. All right, 50 minutes.
- 50:00I really appreciate you guys. I mean, heck, there's another
- 50:0320-30 comments I couldn't get to you and that's a good thing
- 50:07though because 115 of you still watching.
- 50:09I really appreciate it. I just couldn't get to all the
- 50:10comments. I went 50 minutes.
- 50:12I appreciate you all, but I want to put Kenny's opinion out there
- 50:15because I know you care way more about that then you do my
- 50:18opinion. It's all good.
- 50:20All right, love you all. Peace out comment like
- 50:23subscribe. We'll see what happens.
- 50:25We'll see if they do this. NASCAR considering still a 36
- 50:29race championship format end stream.
