- 0:02Speaker 1: Apostle Fermi Lazarus is a man raised by God to
- 0:06Speaker 1: demonstrate his wisdom and authority to the last day church.
- 0:10Speaker 1: He is the lead pastor of Sphere of Light Church
- 0:13Speaker 1: and God told him years ago that a time will
- 0:16Speaker 1: come where my wisdom will be needed to navigate tough
- 0:19Speaker 1: times in the body of Christ.
- 0:22Speaker 2: Then I will cause your voice to be heard.
- 0:25Speaker 1: And all who pay attention to my word on your
- 0:29Speaker 1: lips will not lack light and direction. He's a man
- 0:33Speaker 1: sent from God, sent to raise God's end time armies.
- 0:38Speaker 2: With Apostle Fermi.
- 0:39Speaker 1: Lazarus, every minute counts as you listen attentively.
- 0:46Speaker 3: Let's start from Hebrews chapter number 11.
- 0:49Speaker 2: Okay. Okay. I go to Hebrews 11, then we continue.
- 0:56Speaker 3: We go to Genesis chapter number 32.
- 1:05Speaker 2: Thank you, Father. Are you there now? Hebrews chapter number 11.
- 1:13Speaker 4: Verse 21.
- 1:21Speaker 3: Verse 21. Hebrews 11 verse 21. Let me start from
- 1:27Speaker 3: verse 20 so you can have background to it. By faith,
- 1:32Speaker 3: Isaac blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. By faith, Jacob,
- 1:44Speaker 3: when he was dying, blessed the both of his sons. Sorry,
- 1:50Speaker 3: both of the sons of Joseph. And worshipped.
- 1:56Speaker 2: Leaning upon the top of his staff. Jacob.
- 2:04Speaker 3: Blessed them. Worshipped God. Leaning on his staff. Why was
- 2:17Speaker 3: he doing that? He was old of course. But from
- 2:21Speaker 3: the day the holo. of his thigh was pulled out.
- 2:27Speaker 3: He needed a staff. And I showed you that scripture
- 2:32Speaker 3: last week. I want you to remember, your rod and
- 2:35Speaker 3: your staff, they comfort me.
- 2:37Speaker 2: Okay?
- 2:38Speaker 3: So, comfort is perfected when we have the boat, the rod.
- 2:43Speaker 3: Somebody say the rod. Say it again, the rod and
- 2:46Speaker 3: the staff.
- 2:47Speaker 2: See, if you have either, alright, you are not going
- 2:50Speaker 2: to enjoy life. And I'm going to show you how.
- 2:56Speaker 2: Everything you ever needed, you got instantly.
- 3:01Speaker 3: Before you knock the door, as much as it is grace,
- 3:05Speaker 3: but there is much more in God. There is an
- 3:08Speaker 3: adventure that we experience when we wait.
- 3:14Speaker 2: There's an adventure. Okay? There's an adventure that we experience.
- 3:19Speaker 3: You see, sometimes we are carried away with the pain
- 3:23Speaker 3: that comes with waiting process.
- 3:26Speaker 2: We are not seeing what God is doing. Let me
- 3:27Speaker 2: show you a scripture.
- 3:29Speaker 3: Matthew chapter number 11 verse 28. Matthew 11 verse 28.
- 3:34Speaker 3: Message translation. Alright, I'd like us to see something. Matthew
- 3:38Speaker 3: 11 verse 28 to 29. Message translation.
- 3:40Speaker 2: If they can put it on my screen. Alright, look
- 3:42Speaker 2: at it. Come unto me, holy that labor and a
- 3:45Speaker 2: heavy laden. Can you give me message translation, please? Said,
- 3:49Speaker 2: are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come
- 3:55Speaker 2: to me.
- 3:57Speaker 3: Get away with me and you will recover your life.
- 4:01Speaker 3: I will show you how to take real rest.
- 4:05Speaker 2: Okay? Walk with me and walk with me.
- 4:11Speaker 3: Watch how I do it. Learn the unforced redeem of grace.
- 4:15Speaker 3: I won't lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep
- 4:18Speaker 3: company with me and you will learn how to live
- 4:21Speaker 3: freely and lightly. Let me give you a story so
- 4:25Speaker 3: you can understand this. I remember, what year was that? 2021,
- 4:32Speaker 3: when we were about to erect our structure in Ibadan.
- 4:38Speaker 3: I mean, we had prayed, trusted God for help. I
- 4:44Speaker 3: think around that time, we had spent about 50 million
- 4:49Speaker 3: or thereabout. Now, God gave instructions. He said, I want
- 4:55Speaker 3: you to do three things as you come into a
- 4:56Speaker 3: new phase.
- 4:58Speaker 2: All right? Number one, don't let me even mention it, okay?
- 5:06Speaker 2: Let me just keep quiet.
- 5:07Speaker 3: But the second instruction was to, every pain the church has,
- 5:11Speaker 3: go and sow them to a ministry that is just starting.
- 5:14Speaker 2: Every pain.
- 5:16Speaker 3: Get into the next phase trusting me for everything. Don't
- 5:20Speaker 3: move with the smallest pain. I said, thank you, Lord.
- 5:26Speaker 3: It's difficult, but I will do it. Then give me
- 5:29Speaker 3: the third instruction. So we did it. Took out everything.
- 5:34Speaker 3: Took out the screens. Took out the AC. Took out
- 5:38Speaker 3: the sound. Took out everything. Looked for ministries.
- 5:41Speaker 2: Shared it.
- 5:43Speaker 3: And we're marching onward, Christian soldier. We're coming to a
- 5:47Speaker 3: new place. I think myself and him, it was about
- 5:49Speaker 3: to rain.
- 5:49Speaker 2: Then I just left the office.
- 5:52Speaker 3: I said, let's get into this facility and see how
- 5:55Speaker 3: it will look like under the rain.
- 5:57Speaker 2: Then right where we were standing, the whole thing crashed
- 5:59Speaker 2: on our head.
- 6:01Speaker 3: We had to run out. So I got home. I
- 6:06Speaker 3: didn't tell my wife. I didn't tell my wife. We
- 6:10Speaker 3: came to serve me food. I said, how are you today?
- 6:12Speaker 3: I said, I'm very fine. Everything's fine. To the following morning,
- 6:16Speaker 3: I said to her, I said, church building, it crashed.
- 6:18Speaker 3: She said, what are you talking about? Are you whining
- 6:22Speaker 3: me again? I used to whine my wife. She said,
- 6:24Speaker 3: church building, it crashed. Are you joking? I said, will
- 6:28Speaker 3: I joke with that? So I began to ask God.
- 6:34Speaker 3: Every instruction you give me, I did. Why is it
- 6:41Speaker 3: that the response to that faithfulness is starting from ground zero?
- 6:49Speaker 2: What have we done?
- 6:51Speaker 3: And he never said a word. Please learn from this story.
- 6:58Speaker 3: So we had to start rebuilding from the scratch. If
- 7:02Speaker 3: you know anything about church management, everyone that we're giving
- 7:05Speaker 3: before got tired. So people, no money was coming. Then
- 7:15Speaker 3: I entered phase two.
- 7:17Speaker 2: I was angry.
- 7:20Speaker 3: I was angry at people around. I was angry at
- 7:22Speaker 3: my friends. And I was saying, look at this person.
- 7:25Speaker 3: Not even one person came to greet me and say
- 7:27Speaker 3: we heard it. That this thing crashed.
- 7:30Speaker 2: This one. This, this, this.
- 7:32Speaker 3: Not even one person. The one that now came, I
- 7:34Speaker 3: became angry again. That when we were doing this project,
- 7:37Speaker 3: he didn't come.
- 7:38Speaker 2: Now that he crashed, he came. Offense has no direction.
- 7:44Speaker 3: When somebody has to ask me to be offended at anything.
- 7:47Speaker 2: Okay? So I was angry. First, I think the most
- 7:53Speaker 2: important thing was the neglect from people I expected so
- 7:56Speaker 2: much from. Then the Lord began to remind me. So
- 8:02Speaker 2: and so and so happened to that person. Did you call?
- 8:05Speaker 3: I was busy. They are busy too. This, this, that
- 8:10Speaker 3: happened to that person. Did you call?
- 8:13Speaker 2: No. I was ministering around. They are busy ministering too.
- 8:17Speaker 3: Then I moved from being angry at what people didn't
- 8:21Speaker 3: do to discovering my own filthiness. I just discovered That
- 8:29Speaker 3: I was expecting from people what I was not supplying.
- 8:33Speaker 3: At the end of the day, definitely we rebuilt faster
- 8:36Speaker 3: than we did the first one.
- 8:38Speaker 2: Okay?
- 8:39Speaker 3: But what I found out was that God was not
- 8:44Speaker 3: just giving us an auditorium.
- 8:48Speaker 2: He was making a man.
- 8:51Speaker 3: Sometimes you cry over things because your priority is not
- 8:55Speaker 3: God's priority.
- 8:57Speaker 2: His priority is you. Not the relationship.
- 9:03Speaker 4: Okay?
- 9:04Speaker 3: His priority is you, not the car. His priority is you.
- 9:12Speaker 3: The fruit of the womb will come in its season.
- 9:15Speaker 3: But there is a man that must be set for
- 9:17Speaker 3: those things to come. And the process of getting that
- 9:20Speaker 3: man requires breaking.
- 9:21Speaker 5: Okay?
- 9:24Speaker 4: Okay?
- 9:24Speaker 3: So for those of you who missed the first teaching,
- 9:27Speaker 3: I said to you that the whole of your time
- 9:29Speaker 3: represents anything that means confidence to you. Confidence without God.
- 9:37Speaker 3: The form of confidence that you have, but this one
- 9:40Speaker 3: is not in God. It is from an advantage you have.
- 9:44Speaker 3: The kind of degree.
- 9:46Speaker 2: First class. You have smashed records everywhere. Okay?
- 9:53Speaker 4: Hmm.
- 9:54Speaker 3: Do you know that the guy with one talent has
- 9:57Speaker 3: the tendency to succeed more than the one with five?
- 10:01Speaker 3: because our limitation shows us god's ability yes and sometimes
- 10:06Speaker 3: we just focus on the limitation forgetting that we have
- 10:09Speaker 3: an inheritance Do you understand what I'm saying here? So
- 10:12Speaker 3: when David said, though I walk through the valley of
- 10:15Speaker 3: the shadows of death, I will fear no evil. For
- 10:17Speaker 3: your rod and your staff, they comfort me. You prepare
- 10:20Speaker 3: it for me in front of my enemies. He was
- 10:21Speaker 3: saying that though I walk through the valley of shadows
- 10:24Speaker 3: of death.
- 10:24Speaker 2: I will fear no evil.
- 10:25Speaker 3: He said, I have a testimony that there is a
- 10:28Speaker 3: dimension when I call you answer. There is also the
- 10:31Speaker 3: staff that I enter through maturing in process. That even
- 10:36Speaker 3: when I'm seeking for things, it doesn't happen.
- 10:39Speaker 2: There is a staff. Do you understand what I'm saying here?
- 10:42Speaker 3: Listen, when you wait and you wait till the end,
- 10:46Speaker 3: you'll get more than what you are waiting for. As
- 10:49Speaker 3: a matter of fact, the proof that you have waited
- 10:51Speaker 3: right is that when that thing comes, it is no
- 10:54Speaker 3: longer your joy. Something else has been given that is
- 10:57Speaker 3: more expensive and better than those things.
- 11:01Speaker 2: That's how it works. Amen.
- 11:10Speaker 3: Let me take you to the very beginning. So you
- 11:12Speaker 3: can understand. It is the way life is. It is
- 11:16Speaker 3: the way life is. What God wants to do. Is
- 11:21Speaker 3: to end up showing us. The need for him.
- 11:24Speaker 2: See once we get those. As simple as it.
- 11:26Speaker 3: Once we get it. We are not saying you should
- 11:29Speaker 3: not have your advantages. But we are saying you will
- 11:31Speaker 3: not make it primary. You have come to that point
- 11:36Speaker 3: where you know. That thank God for this thing. But
- 11:39Speaker 3: this is not the secret.
- 11:42Speaker 4: Okay.
- 11:43Speaker 2: Somebody said. You went to Harvard. It's not about Harvard.
- 11:48Speaker 2: It is about God.
- 11:50Speaker 4: Okay.
- 11:51Speaker 2: The moment we now begin to make our boast in him.
- 11:55Speaker 2: It will work.
- 11:57Speaker 3: And it will keep everything that leads to you making
- 12:01Speaker 3: that boast in him.
- 12:02Speaker 2: Is a blessing. And that blessing may involve losses. That's
- 12:09Speaker 2: the truth.
- 12:13Speaker 3: Let me explain. Give you another illustration. Look at the
- 12:17Speaker 3: way God wants you to walk. This is the way
- 12:20Speaker 3: God wants your life to walk.
- 12:22Speaker 2: Simple illustration. You don't have to think too much. Just
- 12:25Speaker 2: look at this.
- 12:28Speaker 3: When you read the book of Genesis 1 verse 1.
- 12:30Speaker 3: You read the Bible saying in the beginning God made
- 12:32Speaker 3: the heavens. You see that in your Bible? Now look
- 12:34Speaker 3: at it.
- 12:35Speaker 2: Please come. Imagine you met God Let's assume. A day
- 12:42Speaker 2: before the beginning. Will you still agree. That he is
- 12:49Speaker 2: all powerful. Listen. He is still God. But there is
- 12:53Speaker 2: nothing to his name. No house. No man. No mountains.
- 12:58Speaker 2: No hills. No rivers. No gold. No diamonds. He is
- 13:03Speaker 2: still God. And he comes to introduce himself. I said
- 13:07Speaker 2: I am the God of all flesh. Say who? Listen well.
- 13:13Speaker 2: What you want. Is to get it. Then boast about it.
- 13:18Speaker 2: What God wants to do. Is for you to conceive it.
- 13:21Speaker 2: And boast about it. Let me explain. Abraham waited. For Isaac.
- 13:32Speaker 2: For about 25 years. Okay.
- 13:37Speaker 3: And finally he got Isaac. Then God came. And said, Abraham,
- 13:43Speaker 3: sacrifice Isaac, your only son, whom you love. What was
- 13:49Speaker 3: God trying to say? What you have been waiting for
- 13:52Speaker 3: is not Isaac. What you have been waiting for is
- 13:57Speaker 3: a dimension in me that the covenant.
- 14:00Speaker 2: Still remains true with or without Isaac.
- 14:05Speaker 3: So imagine that you are Abraham. And then God spoke
- 14:08Speaker 3: so many things about your relationships. And here you met
- 14:11Speaker 3: somebody that every word, every prophecy God gave you, everything aligned.
- 14:16Speaker 3: He will show his own note, the same thing in
- 14:18Speaker 3: his note. Or show you a note, the same thing
- 14:20Speaker 3: in a note. Then finally the person broke up with you.
- 14:22Speaker 3: God wants you to have come to a point where
- 14:24Speaker 3: regardless whether you are here or not, what God said
- 14:29Speaker 3: is still sure. And listen, sometimes you need to have
- 14:31Speaker 3: losses to wield it well. He doesn't want you to
- 14:35Speaker 3: believe what he has said is anchored on anybody. he
- 14:40Speaker 3: doesn't want to believe that what he has said will
- 14:42Speaker 3: come to pass because somebody is doing you a favor
- 14:45Speaker 3: do you understand what i'm saying here he wants to
- 14:46Speaker 3: come to the point whether you are there or not
- 14:49Speaker 3: god will do what he will he said if people
- 14:51Speaker 3: fail to praise me i will raise what stones that's
- 14:56Speaker 3: what that's the blessing the blessing is not physical things
- 15:00Speaker 3: do you understand what i'm saying if not if you
- 15:03Speaker 3: lose your car you will lose your joy in fact
- 15:06Speaker 3: this is the purpose of giving it is to show
- 15:08Speaker 3: us that our wealth is not in the material things
- 15:11Speaker 3: Look at it now. Abraham and Lot were brothers. They
- 15:13Speaker 3: were together. There was struggle between their men. Abraham's men.
- 15:18Speaker 3: Abraham told Lot, said, Lot, see, go and choose anywhere
- 15:22Speaker 3: so that there is no strife within us.
- 15:24Speaker 2: What did Lot do?
- 15:25Speaker 3: The Bible said he looked for the well-watered ground and
- 15:28Speaker 3: he chose. The blessing is not in a place. It's
- 15:30Speaker 3: on the person. If the person carrying it comes to
- 15:34Speaker 3: the desert, desert will become food for the healed. When
- 15:38Speaker 3: you understand this, you will have nothing else you define
- 15:42Speaker 3: as asset outside God. Nothing qualifies to wield that title
- 15:48Speaker 3: outside God. If not, Job losing everything would have been
- 15:55Speaker 3: the end of his life. But that was just the beginning.
- 15:58Speaker 3: Lift your hand. Say, I am more than what I wear.
- 16:02Speaker 2: You are not saying it like you know what I'm
- 16:04Speaker 2: talking about. Say it again.
- 16:07Speaker 3: I am more than what I wear I am more
- 16:09Speaker 3: than what I drive. Now, when you understand this, nobody
- 16:13Speaker 3: can look down on you.
- 16:16Speaker 4: Alright?
- 16:17Speaker 2: Somebody looks at you and says, what do you drive?
- 16:22Speaker 2: Under Accord 04 at your level. I am more than
- 16:28Speaker 2: what I drive. Okay? It matters what drives me. Yeah,
- 16:34Speaker 2: that's it.
- 16:36Speaker 3: And if that thing drives you to the wilderness, that's it.
- 16:38Speaker 3: It will become fruitful field. Lift your hands and say
- 16:41Speaker 3: thank you Lord. Now be seated for a while. Let
- 16:45Speaker 3: me show you a few things.
- 16:46Speaker 2: Are you learning something this morning? Are you sure?
- 16:52Speaker 3: If we understand this. When we come to understand this.
- 16:58Speaker 3: This is what is going to happen. The devil will
- 17:01Speaker 3: now know.
- 17:02Speaker 4: That.
- 17:05Speaker 3: This thing he wants to use to scare him. It's
- 17:08Speaker 3: not his asset. If you take this one, it won't
- 17:12Speaker 3: pull anything. He said, this guy has come to find
- 17:14Speaker 3: out that his contact with God is the most important thing.
- 17:18Speaker 2: That is where the devil moves beyond fighting your material
- 17:21Speaker 2: to fighting your secret place.
- 17:27Speaker 3: You need to come to that point where you know
- 17:29Speaker 3: that the most important thing about my life is the
- 17:32Speaker 3: secret place.
- 17:34Speaker 2: And I'm saying that there will be a need for processes.
- 17:39Speaker 3: There will be a need for prunings. There will be
- 17:41Speaker 3: a need for losses. There will be a need for...
- 17:45Speaker 3: They are not sweet, but they are powerful. There is
- 17:49Speaker 3: purpose in pain. Some of you now care.
- 17:57Speaker 2: About holidays, Christmas holidays.
- 18:03Speaker 3: Birthdays, anniversary. Because you grew up from a home where
- 18:08Speaker 3: it was not a priority. And as you were growing,
- 18:13Speaker 3: you vowed, my family will be different. Are you seeing
- 18:16Speaker 3: that what is absent shows you how to be sensitive
- 18:20Speaker 3: and how to care? The one who doesn't know what
- 18:23Speaker 3: it means to walk in luck may not understand what
- 18:26Speaker 3: mess is.
- 18:27Speaker 2: And that's why I said, see, listen, listen to what
- 18:29Speaker 2: I'm saying.
- 18:30Speaker 4: I'm concerned.
- 18:31Speaker 2: I'm concerned. Okay? I'm concerned. Sometimes I look around. I
- 18:36Speaker 2: look at the body of Christ.
- 18:38Speaker 3: I said, if care is not taken, if anybody should
- 18:43Speaker 3: have an outburst of scandal, the current messages we have,
- 18:47Speaker 3: the person's life is finished.
- 18:52Speaker 2: Because, you see, it is lacking grace. Because we are
- 18:57Speaker 2: coming in the fullness of our ability to cooperate with
- 19:00Speaker 2: God and align. Do you understand what I'm saying?
- 19:03Speaker 3: And all the testimony of our life is a testimony
- 19:05Speaker 3: of how I was able to align. How I did
- 19:08Speaker 3: 200 days fasting and got this anointing.
- 19:16Speaker 2: Can I tell you something?
- 19:20Speaker 3: Never forget this thing. See, we make boasts in our
- 19:22Speaker 3: consecration that God had to pass me through this and
- 19:25Speaker 3: pass me through that so I can get... The things
- 19:28Speaker 3: he passed you through is actually because of your stubbornness.
- 19:30Speaker 2: Period.
- 19:30Speaker 4: Period.
- 19:31Speaker 3: There's somebody else somewhere who didn't need to go through
- 19:33Speaker 3: those lessons and get the same thing. The issue is
- 19:35Speaker 3: that you develop elder brother syndrome when you see the
- 19:38Speaker 3: person who didn't pay your price but get what you got.
- 19:43Speaker 2: Christ already paid. You need to pay extra because you
- 19:45Speaker 2: didn't embrace his own. He paid.
- 19:49Speaker 3: So we now make the route we have to go
- 19:52Speaker 3: through because of our neglect of god we now make
- 19:55Speaker 3: it a message.
- 19:57Speaker 2: Such that people have you seen people talk about.
- 19:59Speaker 3: A dimension and now that they did 365 days fasting
- 20:02Speaker 3: for that dimension well you look at your life i
- 20:04Speaker 3: have the same dimension i didn't go through that there
- 20:07Speaker 3: was nothing in your life that.
- 20:08Speaker 2: Necessitates that route Do you understand what I'm saying?
- 20:16Speaker 3: There are people that God will have to give instruction
- 20:19Speaker 3: to give and give and give for them to enter
- 20:22Speaker 3: into abundance, regardless of how hard they work. But there
- 20:25Speaker 3: are people that they don't actually need because money is
- 20:27Speaker 3: not their God. So once you, the issue, and this
- 20:33Speaker 3: is where we lose people.
- 20:35Speaker 2: The issue is that you look at your life, say, me,
- 20:37Speaker 2: do you know what I went through?
- 20:38Speaker 3: God gave me instructions and sacrifices, and I know to
- 20:41Speaker 3: enter into this dimension, you are just sitting there. Because
- 20:44Speaker 3: the instructions God gave you is to kill you in
- 20:46Speaker 3: an area that you are too alive to. And if
- 20:50Speaker 3: this person is already dead to it, there is no
- 20:52Speaker 3: need for that instruction. Do you understand what I'm saying here?
- 20:56Speaker 3: That instruction is God pulling the whole of your ties out.
- 20:59Speaker 3: Do you notice that there was no need for Esau
- 21:01Speaker 3: to fight with any angel? For him to enter into
- 21:05Speaker 3: what he entered. There was no need. You have two people.
- 21:09Speaker 3: The father is saying before one. That I have made
- 21:11Speaker 3: your younger brother.
- 21:13Speaker 2: Your senior.
- 21:15Speaker 3: The guy left there as the least. And that is
- 21:18Speaker 3: what shows him the need for God. But the one
- 21:22Speaker 3: who left there feeling. I am his boss now.
- 21:24Speaker 2: He became small. He became small. Some of you are worried.
- 21:28Speaker 3: You go for meetings and they call your best friend
- 21:31Speaker 3: and they are prophesying how the God will use this
- 21:33Speaker 3: person in the future.
- 21:34Speaker 2: And every meeting, nobody has ever seen anything about you.
- 21:37Speaker 2: And you are worried.
- 21:38Speaker 3: You see that God doesn't have a plan for me.
- 21:41Speaker 3: When they see somebody is prophetic and they even hold
- 21:42Speaker 3: my hands, they will just say, God bless you.
- 21:44Speaker 2: God bless you.
- 21:44Speaker 4: Be blessed.
- 21:45Speaker 2: Be blessed.
- 21:46Speaker 3: Like, can't you see something about me too? Why won't
- 21:51Speaker 3: that happen? Because God needs you to pass through a
- 21:54Speaker 3: journey that you will learn him. God does not reveal
- 21:58Speaker 3: his most powerful weapon. He hides it.
- 22:00Speaker 2: He won't reveal it. Because there is a, that's why
- 22:03Speaker 2: it's dangerous. There is a sense of arrogance to come with.
- 22:06Speaker 2: Just call somebody out.
- 22:07Speaker 3: I say, I see you as the man that God
- 22:09Speaker 3: will use to shape the body of Christ in the
- 22:11Speaker 3: next 20 years.
- 22:12Speaker 2: Oh, everybody will clap.
- 22:13Speaker 3: Listen to me. The people that should stress you for
- 22:16Speaker 3: you to emerge will no longer stress you. They will
- 22:18Speaker 3: crown you as king too early. You will not get
- 22:20Speaker 3: to the throne. That is what will happen.
- 22:24Speaker 2: Let me share a story with you. I heard this
- 22:25Speaker 2: story a while back. About two boys. Well. I do
- 22:32Speaker 2: not know if the story is true. But I don't
- 22:34Speaker 2: think it is true. Just an illustration. The both of
- 22:38Speaker 2: them went to. A Baba. I don't know the kind
- 22:42Speaker 2: of Baba. To go and ask. Tell us what the
- 22:45Speaker 2: future holds. And he looked at one. He said you.
- 22:52Speaker 2: You will be the next king. The moment this king
- 22:55Speaker 2: is dead. You are the next. That's your destiny.
- 22:59Speaker 3: The other one, he called him, said, my own son,
- 23:04Speaker 3: tell me my own future. He said, you'll be a
- 23:06Speaker 3: servant of servants.
- 23:09Speaker 2: Okay?
- 23:09Speaker 3: That's your own destiny. You will serve. You will live
- 23:12Speaker 3: in servitude all your life. And the both of them left.
- 23:16Speaker 3: The future king left with joy. The future servant left
- 23:21Speaker 3: with pain. And they both went to make different decisions.
- 23:25Speaker 3: So the future king got a chair and put it
- 23:27Speaker 3: in front of his house and told people, when you are.
- 23:30Speaker 2: Passing, respect me. I'm the next king. Everybody is passing. Obalola,
- 23:35Speaker 2: future king, king tomorrow. They will greet him. And they
- 23:40Speaker 2: will pass. Then the one that was told to be
- 23:43Speaker 2: a servant said to himself, I will leave this place.
- 23:49Speaker 3: I will go far away into the jungle. I will
- 23:52Speaker 3: till the ground. I will plant my crops. I will
- 23:55Speaker 3: do everything I should do. I want to see how
- 23:58Speaker 3: I will become anybody's servant. And they both chose their life.
- 24:02Speaker 3: The one that was said to become king sat down
- 24:04Speaker 3: there five years, ten years.
- 24:06Speaker 2: The king had not died.
- 24:10Speaker 3: The one that said to become a servant was already
- 24:12Speaker 3: working and planting and selling to different neighboring villages. And
- 24:18Speaker 3: finally the king died. And when the king died, there
- 24:21Speaker 3: was famine. So, We started running up and down.
- 24:26Speaker 2: Where can we get food?
- 24:28Speaker 3: And somebody said, we heard of a man who is
- 24:30Speaker 3: actually part of the villagers here, but he has a
- 24:33Speaker 3: big farm far away. Let's beg him for food. Then
- 24:37Speaker 3: they made a meeting and said, you know what? Let's
- 24:40Speaker 3: beg him to give us food, then become our king.
- 24:46Speaker 3: And that's how they did. The Bible said, I've seen
- 24:50Speaker 3: a mystery from under the heaven. I've seen kings and
- 24:53Speaker 3: princes on their feet And servant on horses. Hands do cross.
- 25:00Speaker 3: Once one person becomes overconfident. Hands do cross.
- 25:04Speaker 2: Be careful of the people you despise.
- 25:07Speaker 3: Destinies change. People make decisions. God said go and tell Eli.
- 25:11Speaker 3: I have decided that you and your father will be
- 25:13Speaker 3: priests before me forever. But now God can change his mind.
- 25:26Speaker 2: See, a time is coming. And I want to tell
- 25:31Speaker 2: you this. Don't forget what I'm telling you. You may
- 25:36Speaker 2: cry now. You may groan.
- 25:38Speaker 3: Because you feel things should have been better. But let
- 25:40Speaker 3: me tell you something. A time is coming that things
- 25:43Speaker 3: will change. And you will wish your troubles were more.
- 25:49Speaker 3: Because you will look back and see how the problems
- 25:52Speaker 3: shaped you. You will just wish in your heart that
- 25:58Speaker 3: I just wish I experienced this one too. Because you
- 26:01Speaker 3: will meet people in it and find out you don't
- 26:02Speaker 3: have a message for them. Do you understand what I'm saying?
- 26:06Speaker 3: Don't mourn it.
- 26:10Speaker 2: Don't mourn it. It is God shaping us. Say God
- 26:13Speaker 2: is shaping us. Say it again. God is making us. No.
- 26:18Speaker 2: Say God is shaping me. He's making me. He's remolding
- 26:23Speaker 2: my life.
- 26:24Speaker 3: He's structuring me for the future. In the name of Jesus.
- 26:38Speaker 3: You know, growing up, I spent more time crying than
- 26:43Speaker 3: I talked to people.
- 26:44Speaker 2: Oh yes. I would just lock my door and weep
- 26:47Speaker 2: and weep. I know what depression is. First hand. First hand.
- 26:53Speaker 2: First hand. One time I started going to parties. On Sunday.
- 27:01Speaker 2: After service. I would not remove my tie. I would
- 27:04Speaker 2: go to a party like that. They knew I was
- 27:06Speaker 2: not part of them.
- 27:10Speaker 3: One time I went for a party. So I also
- 27:14Speaker 3: doubled as my friend's party. So I was there. I
- 27:18Speaker 3: don't know whether I was the DJ at this party
- 27:20Speaker 3: or something. I was a DJ before. So yeah, DJ song.
- 27:26Speaker 2: I don't know how I got there. That's how I
- 27:28Speaker 2: got there.
- 27:31Speaker 3: And there was this thing they called devil's basket. We
- 27:36Speaker 3: don't know who used to sit down to write those things.
- 27:38Speaker 3: They would write many things. Funny stuff.
- 27:40Speaker 2: So people would pick. So they asked a girl to
- 27:43Speaker 2: pick one. Then the girl picked. I don't find a
- 27:46Speaker 2: girl like that.
- 27:48Speaker 3: So what was inside was that the girl would dance
- 27:52Speaker 3: with somebody without her legs touching the ground and then
- 27:55Speaker 3: kiss the person And then that's the devil's basket instruction.
- 28:00Speaker 3: The girl looked around, looked around. And said, I pick you.
- 28:05Speaker 3: I'm not that deep. It's problem that brought me here.
- 28:12Speaker 2: Okay. When I started begging, they just found out that, see,
- 28:15Speaker 2: this guy is not part of us. Let's just allow
- 28:18Speaker 2: him go. You know, you find people in situations. But
- 28:24Speaker 2: you don't know that that's not who they are. I
- 28:29Speaker 2: want to teach you two things. I'll show you a
- 28:32Speaker 2: few scriptures. Is that okay? Number one, be careful of
- 28:37Speaker 2: the bargains you make when your bones are broken.
- 28:42Speaker 3: Let me tell you what I mean. Be careful of
- 28:46Speaker 3: the bargains you make when your bones are broken.
- 28:53Speaker 2: That is, when you have.
- 28:54Speaker 3: Been exposed to the other part of life that is
- 28:58Speaker 3: not so pleasant. One of the things, listen to what
- 29:04Speaker 3: I want to tell you. One of the likelihood, one
- 29:06Speaker 3: of the things that is likely going to happen is
- 29:09Speaker 3: that you will make bargains based on the present, not
- 29:13Speaker 3: based on the future. So let me explain. I said
- 29:17Speaker 3: something when I started the series Love and Vows, that
- 29:20Speaker 3: never ask anybody out until you know who you are.
- 29:30Speaker 3: Never strike a deal until you.
- 29:32Speaker 2: Know who you are.
- 29:34Speaker 3: Because eventually, when you begin to find out who you are,
- 29:38Speaker 3: you will discover that you have settled for less. do
- 29:42Speaker 3: you understand what i'm saying let me show you now
- 29:45Speaker 3: the book of genesis listen listen to my story when
- 29:50Speaker 3: joseph was in the prison some two boys were with
- 29:52Speaker 3: him he gave them words you will come out you
- 29:55Speaker 3: will be killed.
- 29:55Speaker 2: Right The one that said will come. Joseph said when
- 29:59Speaker 2: you get there.
- 29:59Speaker 3: Please tell the king about me. The fellow that they
- 30:02Speaker 3: were just bringing out of pity. If he brings Joseph out.
- 30:05Speaker 3: What is the highest position they can put Joseph? Junior butler.
- 30:09Speaker 3: Meanwhile the intention of God. Is that he is coming out.
- 30:12Speaker 3: And the same day he will be the prime minister.
- 30:15Speaker 3: What was his negotiation? Junior butler. Listen to what I
- 30:18Speaker 3: am saying. When favor is not working. God is not
- 30:20Speaker 3: trying to bring you out through favor. Favor has limitations.
- 30:24Speaker 3: He wants to bring you out as a needed vessel.
- 30:26Speaker 2: Competence. There are times that you say, God, why am
- 30:30Speaker 2: I so disfavored? Because the person you expect favor for
- 30:33Speaker 2: cannot put you above himself. And the way God wants
- 30:37Speaker 2: to bring you out is to bring you to a
- 30:38Speaker 2: place higher. So when favor looks like it is expired,
- 30:41Speaker 2: then God brings you out and then, like this is
- 30:44Speaker 2: not favor. They need you.
- 30:45Speaker 3: When they brought Joseph out, it was not favor. They
- 30:48Speaker 3: will not survive without him. Do you understand what I'm saying?
- 30:52Speaker 3: What was his baguette?
- 30:56Speaker 2: Some of you are bargaining let me just leave Nigeria
- 30:58Speaker 2: even if Nagana meanwhile in another three years this same
- 31:04Speaker 2: man is coming the president is sending a car go
- 31:06Speaker 2: and pick him what is his bargain even if not
- 31:09Speaker 2: by boat because you can't see well open your eyes
- 31:13Speaker 2: and see you don't know who you are.
- 31:16Speaker 3: That's the first thing be careful of the deals you
- 31:19Speaker 3: strike Just marry me and let me live this singleness.
- 31:23Speaker 3: Even though you know who you are. Some people have
- 31:26Speaker 3: married people they hope to mentor. Because they don't know
- 31:33Speaker 3: who they are. I'm talking about even women. These guys
- 31:37Speaker 3: should come and apply in your school of knowledge to learn.
- 31:43Speaker 3: But you just feel anyone that has beards is a man.
- 31:47Speaker 2: Apologies.
- 31:47Speaker 4: Apologies.
- 31:49Speaker 2: Apologies. I have beards and goats have beards too. It's
- 31:54Speaker 2: the truth.
- 31:57Speaker 3: And there are guys too who subscribe to a girl
- 31:59Speaker 3: based on physical assets only for her not to be
- 32:01Speaker 3: able to carry the weight of his destiny. Figure eight
- 32:05Speaker 3: everything but blank. Because he doesn't know what the future
- 32:09Speaker 3: will hold. So he went for the body, not the sense.
- 32:12Speaker 3: And by the time the sense is now only dead.
- 32:14Speaker 2: It's not dead. Be careful of the deals. Be careful
- 32:18Speaker 2: of your bagging. Are you learning something? Or should I stop?
- 32:26Speaker 2: I can't handle people now.
- 32:31Speaker 3: The second counsel I want to give you about this.
- 32:38Speaker 2: The second counsel I want to give you after this. Now,
- 32:43Speaker 2: this is a very serious one. I have trusted God
- 32:46Speaker 2: for wisdom to put it right. Let me give you
- 32:49Speaker 2: an illustration.
- 32:53Speaker 3: When you learn this thing, you will survive any hostile environment.
- 33:00Speaker 3: Particularly those of you that people have termed bad. There
- 33:03Speaker 3: are some of you that people believe you are bad. Meanwhile,
- 33:05Speaker 3: you are the best. But you don't listen. Only God
- 33:09Speaker 3: knows the heart. So if you wait for men to
- 33:12Speaker 3: know your heart, you would have lost out. In so
- 33:15Speaker 3: many places. Then God will help you recover over time.
- 33:18Speaker 3: But you will have suffered.
- 33:21Speaker 2: Okay. So let me explain. One time I got to
- 33:24Speaker 2: a place. And I found out.
- 33:27Speaker 3: That there was this girl. That practically everybody hated her.
- 33:33Speaker 3: And the more I tried to know the girl. She
- 33:35Speaker 3: was behaving practically like a witch.
- 33:39Speaker 2: I'm like. People are passing. Just be looking. Good afternoon.
- 33:43Speaker 2: Good afternoon. What is your problem? What is your problem?
- 33:49Speaker 2: So I just said, well, day or day, let me
- 33:51Speaker 2: day my day, just your stuff.
- 33:53Speaker 3: But over time, as she began to loosen up, I
- 33:56Speaker 3: sat down with her and I found out that if
- 33:59Speaker 3: only the people here knows this.
- 34:01Speaker 2: Girl, what was her problem?
- 34:04Speaker 3: She was angry about certain things, but she did not
- 34:07Speaker 3: know how to express her anger towards the thing. She
- 34:12Speaker 3: allowed the thing make her vent towards everything.
- 34:16Speaker 2: Let me tell you something. I will explain what I'm saying.
- 34:21Speaker 2: In families, there are people like that. They look like
- 34:23Speaker 2: the witch in the family.
- 34:25Speaker 3: But they are the ones that, the reason they are
- 34:27Speaker 3: angry is because they are the ones with the wisdom
- 34:29Speaker 3: to know how to put things in place.
- 34:31Speaker 2: And they know if we say they will not agree.
- 34:33Speaker 3: But they don't know how to channel that thing in
- 34:35Speaker 3: a way that the wisdom will be needed.
- 34:38Speaker 2: In the same light, there are people that look like,
- 34:41Speaker 2: on social media, they look like they hate Christians. They
- 34:43Speaker 2: hate church. They don't like church.
- 34:44Speaker 3: They don't hate church. They are the ones that know
- 34:47Speaker 3: what church should do right. They have experienced both thieves
- 34:51Speaker 3: and greedy people. They have pained about those situations. But
- 34:54Speaker 3: they have not learned the wisdom to channel your grievance
- 34:58Speaker 3: in a focused direction. Where you will deal with the
- 35:01Speaker 3: issue and see stand out. If you don't know how
- 35:03Speaker 3: to do that, you will carry the wisdom. Nobody will
- 35:06Speaker 3: beg for it. People won't need it. You will be good.
- 35:10Speaker 2: It will take those who are close to you to
- 35:12Speaker 2: know that you are good. And you will miss privileges
- 35:14Speaker 2: in life. You must understand that. Carry that same thing.
- 35:19Speaker 3: Channel it to a body of wisdom, not emotions. Do
- 35:23Speaker 3: you understand what I'm saying here? In your office place,
- 35:25Speaker 3: in your family, in your this.
- 35:26Speaker 2: See, listen.
- 35:27Speaker 3: You said, no matter what you do, I will not
- 35:29Speaker 3: be offended at the establishment. I know by the time
- 35:32Speaker 3: I put this wisdom down, people like you will be
- 35:34Speaker 3: kicked out. That is what is happening in Nigeria.
- 35:36Speaker 2: The youth looks like they are hungry. See, listen, listen.
- 35:40Speaker 2: During the elections, I observed people were hungry. I don't
- 35:45Speaker 2: want to mention any party. All these people, all these people.
- 35:47Speaker 2: Insulting fathers in the body of Christ. I sat down.
- 35:49Speaker 2: I studied the thing.
- 35:52Speaker 3: I said the reason why these guys are fighting is
- 35:54Speaker 3: because there is something about the church that reminds them
- 35:56Speaker 3: about politics. There is a way we look like identical twins.
- 36:00Speaker 3: If we don't deal with that, the church will.
- 36:02Speaker 2: Lose the next generation. These people may not know how
- 36:06Speaker 2: to channel. Do you understand what I'm saying? Do you
- 36:09Speaker 2: understand what I'm saying?
- 36:10Speaker 3: There is a way to channel that grievance. The way
- 36:12Speaker 3: to do it is to come back to church. That's
- 36:19Speaker 3: why with all the things they are saying, God will
- 36:22Speaker 3: not kill them. Because God is not like that. God
- 36:27Speaker 3: is loyal to his move more than he is loyal
- 36:29Speaker 3: to a person. It doesn't matter how much he loves
- 36:33Speaker 3: a person. When the person begins to end his move,
- 36:35Speaker 3: he will go to another generation that looks radical, but
- 36:39Speaker 3: we get it done.
- 36:41Speaker 2: And I will tell you something. The small light you
- 36:45Speaker 2: see burning here, it is God redefining Christianity in Nigeria.
- 36:49Speaker 2: It will spread around, I'm telling you.
- 36:51Speaker 3: By the time this is done, the people will struggle
- 36:58Speaker 3: to come out and boast as if they own their anointing.
- 37:03Speaker 3: There is a generation we must not neglect.
- 37:05Speaker 2: They are broken. They are in pain.
- 37:07Speaker 3: They don't know how to communicate it. We must give
- 37:10Speaker 3: them a language. You must understand that. Don't just sit
- 37:13Speaker 3: down and.
- 37:14Speaker 2: Say, look at you. You just.
- 37:15Speaker 3: See, listen to what I'm saying. People go online and
- 37:18Speaker 3: bash me. While I went there, he said, God didn't
- 37:21Speaker 3: call you. Fun fact, you call yourself. I said, oh boy, forget. Tomorrow,
- 37:25Speaker 3: me and you, we sit down. We sit down. You say,
- 37:28Speaker 3: I post it. You know, I say, forget that. What
- 37:31Speaker 3: is the next thing you are doing in this sector?
- 37:33Speaker 3: That anger, I need it, but we will refine it.
- 37:38Speaker 3: Anger is an essential commodity.
- 37:42Speaker 2: It's the truth. It's the truth. I'm trusting God for
- 37:47Speaker 2: a army.
- 37:48Speaker 3: Of gays that will accept that life of Christ. They
- 37:52Speaker 3: are the ones that will have, they know the psychology
- 37:54Speaker 3: of what it means to be there. They know what
- 37:56Speaker 3: to tell those who are there to bring them out.
- 37:58Speaker 3: Do you know what to get a man to a
- 38:00Speaker 3: point where he's looking at another man's bum bum and
- 38:03Speaker 3: he's saying, boy I like you.
- 38:05Speaker 2: You don't know.
- 38:09Speaker 3: When you get there and cut them ties and say, you,
- 38:11Speaker 3: you are never.
- 38:11Speaker 2: Going to come back. You are a bad person.
- 38:13Speaker 3: What you are saying is I will never have your
- 38:15Speaker 3: kind change. Because this one here in the world is
- 38:18Speaker 3: to be the handmaid that will go back and bring
- 38:20Speaker 3: them back home. Do you understand what I'm saying? Two
- 38:24Speaker 3: very powerful instructions. We have work to do. I have
- 38:31Speaker 3: work to do. I've sat down in joints where they
- 38:36Speaker 3: are smoking. I know the psychology. Nobody speaks faith like
- 38:43Speaker 3: the person at the bus stop. The faith you are
- 38:46Speaker 3: trying to learn, they have it.
- 38:48Speaker 2: You that you sit down, why is my life like this?
- 38:50Speaker 2: Why is my life like this? Go and meet the
- 38:52Speaker 2: Agberu in Lagos. He will tell you, I know I
- 38:56Speaker 2: will rise. Do you understand?
- 39:04Speaker 3: That is why. What would have been the prayer of
- 39:07Speaker 3: the church if it was your day? That when they
- 39:09Speaker 3: were killing Stephen, Stephen, the great evangelist, it was Paul
- 39:12Speaker 3: who stood there. He said, bring your clothes.
- 39:14Speaker 6: Kill him.
- 39:14Speaker 2: Stone the head. Don't miss the head. Say, God avenge us.
- 39:18Speaker 2: Let this guy not die today. This is it.
- 39:21Speaker 3: Meanwhile, as Stephen was dying, God was taking what was
- 39:24Speaker 3: on him and placing on the one.
- 39:26Speaker 2: Who is there. The enemy of the church is not
- 39:28Speaker 2: always the enemy of God.
- 39:32Speaker 3: If you know how that God is not interested in
- 39:34Speaker 3: losing anybody, including the grand commander.
- 39:39Speaker 2: Of Boko Haram. God is... See, you have to listen.
- 39:43Speaker 4: Listen.
- 39:44Speaker 2: God is looking for every possible way to bring them back.
- 39:47Speaker 2: He wants to make a statement. If he's looking for
- 39:50Speaker 2: those kind, how much more you? How do you sit
- 39:52Speaker 2: down and say, God, God, God has neglected me. I
- 39:54Speaker 2: don't think I can become this. Because look, I've been
- 39:56Speaker 2: battling with this addiction.
- 39:57Speaker 3: Wake up, my friend, and get back to the race.
- 40:01Speaker 3: Get back to the race. I never thought in my
- 40:07Speaker 3: life that I would marry two times. I'm married and
- 40:09Speaker 3: there's divorce. Get back to the race, my friend. Your
- 40:15Speaker 3: bone is broken. You can't make boast about that. All
- 40:18Speaker 3: you are left with is now the grace of God.
- 40:23Speaker 2: That bone is broken.
- 40:24Speaker 3: When people are talking and they are saying, my home
- 40:26Speaker 3: is this, you can no longer join.
- 40:28Speaker 2: The league of those who are boasting again. That's what
- 40:31Speaker 2: it means.
- 40:32Speaker 3: You don't have that boast. Maybe somebody is even here
- 40:38Speaker 3: that you didn't finish school. You didn't finish school. You
- 40:42Speaker 3: listen to what I'm saying. You try, you try.
- 40:46Speaker 2: You pulled out. People even think that you are from
- 40:49Speaker 2: that school. They didn't know you didn't finish. You were
- 40:51Speaker 2: carried every time. That is the bone.
- 40:54Speaker 3: See, while the rest are talking about those things, I'm
- 40:56Speaker 3: not saying we should drop out of school, but what
- 40:58Speaker 3: has happened has happened. You can go back and study later,
- 41:01Speaker 3: but this is what is happening. You don't have those
- 41:03Speaker 3: physical things now to say, this is my confidence. All
- 41:05Speaker 3: you have is to find God. When life brings to
- 41:08Speaker 3: a point where the only route left is God, you
- 41:11Speaker 3: have been blessed. There is nothing you can do against
- 41:24Speaker 3: us but for us. If you hide us, we will
- 41:28Speaker 3: bring out an army of the hidden. If you bury us,
- 41:31Speaker 3: we will bring out an army of the buried. If
- 41:34Speaker 3: you break us, we will bring out the army of
- 41:35Speaker 3: the broken.
- 41:38Speaker 2: It's nothing. Send us anywhere and say we have come
- 41:42Speaker 2: to put you there. You will regret it. Because we
- 41:45Speaker 2: are disruptive. And some of you don't know who you
- 41:53Speaker 2: are yet. Because you've always found yourself in an environment
- 41:58Speaker 2: that has wrongly labeled you and is not equipped to
- 42:02Speaker 2: help you bring out what you have. Fear has silenced you.
- 42:08Speaker 2: It has changed your opinion about yourself. The things you
- 42:13Speaker 2: used to believe, now you look at your life and
- 42:15Speaker 2: you have settled for one out of three.
- 42:18Speaker 3: The easiest one. The one you feel you can do now.
- 42:21Speaker 3: You are still going to do much more. You are
- 42:23Speaker 3: wearing the garment of many colors. You won't cancel some colors.
- 42:28Speaker 3: In years to come, they will be talking about the
- 42:30Speaker 3: same you living in one room. They can't stop talking.
- 42:37Speaker 3: Lift your hands and say, I am more than this.
- 42:40Speaker 3: Say it again loud and clear. Say it again loud
- 42:43Speaker 3: and clear. Say it again loud and clear.
- 42:46Speaker 2: I am more than this. This is not motivational speaking.
- 42:54Speaker 2: When will you get it? Ezekiel 37 verse 12. It
- 43:02Speaker 2: is a prophecy. Ezekiel 37 verse 12. Look at it.
- 43:09Speaker 2: Can we read this together? One, two, three, go.
- 43:13Speaker 3: Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus says the Lord God, Behold,
- 43:18Speaker 3: O my people, I will open your graves, And cause
- 43:20Speaker 3: you to come up out of your graves.
- 43:23Speaker 2: And bring you. Meaning that you will no longer be buried.
- 43:28Speaker 2: Your gifts. Your talent.
- 43:29Speaker 3: Your potential is hidden. That thing that happened. Was not
- 43:34Speaker 3: supposed to end. What was in progress. It was supposed
- 43:38Speaker 3: to enhance it. And bring it to another level. But
- 43:42Speaker 3: you allow it end it. Go back to the instructions.
- 43:46Speaker 3: God gave you. Before that thing happened.
- 43:51Speaker 2: Go back to it.
- 43:55Speaker 3: You believe you have a ministry to children until you
- 43:57Speaker 3: start waiting on God for the fruit of the womb.
- 44:00Speaker 3: But now you no longer believe it. Go back to
- 44:03Speaker 3: that instruction. He's still saying it. Let me show you
- 44:10Speaker 3: a scripture. And I want us to understand this in context.
- 44:20Speaker 3: So I want to show you a case study today,
- 44:23Speaker 3: and that's the person of David.
- 44:29Speaker 2: Let me give you a background.
- 44:32Speaker 3: At twelve, they suddenly came to call him from the
- 44:37Speaker 3: field that the prophet over the nation was in their
- 44:40Speaker 3: house waiting for him. And when he got there, oil
- 44:44Speaker 3: was poured on him in the midst of his brethren.
- 44:48Speaker 3: At seventeen, He went to deliver food to his brothers
- 44:52Speaker 3: five years after.
- 44:53Speaker 2: He already had a track. In between those five years,
- 44:55Speaker 2: he had killed a lion. He had killed a bear. Okay?
- 44:58Speaker 3: Because those things come chasing after the oil, not your person.
- 45:03Speaker 3: And then he heard somebody making noise.
- 45:07Speaker 2: Making noise. Shouting against Israel.
- 45:09Speaker 3: He said, who is this guy? He said, then he asked,
- 45:12Speaker 3: what will be done? For whoever killed this guy. Are
- 45:15Speaker 3: you seeing where it's coming from? They said, this is Umair,
- 45:18Speaker 3: daughter of the king. Daughter of the king? I said,
- 45:20Speaker 3: I like her. No more tax for the family. He
- 45:23Speaker 3: went to meet the king. Because he had already been playing.
- 45:26Speaker 2: He was a palace boy. He had been playing in
- 45:29Speaker 2: the palace. He went to meet Saul. He said, I
- 45:31Speaker 2: am able to go and kill this guy. I will
- 45:35Speaker 2: kill him. King said, ah, this guy has been fighting
- 45:37Speaker 2: from the day of youth. You are a child. He said, no, no.
- 45:40Speaker 2: Saul looked at him. Okay. He said, you know what?
- 45:42Speaker 2: Take my hammer. Wear it and go and fight the guy.
- 45:45Speaker 2: He wore it. It was too big for him. He
- 45:47Speaker 2: pulled it off. Some of you didn't pull the hammer off.
- 45:50Speaker 2: They stripped it off you.
- 45:51Speaker 4: Okay.
- 45:52Speaker 2: You know what that means. And then he went there.
- 45:54Speaker 2: He went with five small stones. With a sling. And
- 45:57Speaker 2: he went there.
- 45:57Speaker 3: He told Goliath. He said you come against me with
- 45:59Speaker 3: arrow and spear. He said but I come against him
- 46:01Speaker 3: of the Lord of Israel's army.
- 46:03Speaker 2: Whom you have defiled.
- 46:04Speaker 3: Today I will cut your head from your neck.
- 46:06Speaker 2: The Bible said Goliath began to curse him. In the
- 46:09Speaker 2: name of his God. Alright. David threw the stone. Sunk
- 46:13Speaker 2: into his head.
- 46:14Speaker 4: What is that?
- 46:14Speaker 2: That is grace. It was not David who killed Goliath.
- 46:18Speaker 2: He was assisted.
- 46:20Speaker 3: People began to sing. I want to show you David.
- 46:23Speaker 3: People began to sing. Saul has killed his thousands. David
- 46:26Speaker 3: his ten thousands. And David was dancing. He didn't stop them.
- 46:31Speaker 3: He didn't stop them.
- 46:32Speaker 2: He didn't run away.
- 46:34Speaker 3: It looks like he was enjoying it. Saul looked at him.
- 46:37Speaker 3: This guy is going to take this kingdom from my hand.
- 46:41Speaker 3: And from that day, the Bible says, Saul set his
- 46:43Speaker 3: eyes on him to kill him. He moved from, listen
- 46:46Speaker 3: to this, he moved from being anointed before his brothers,
- 46:48Speaker 3: to killing lion and bear, to killing Goliath, giving them
- 46:51Speaker 3: the biggest victory.
- 46:52Speaker 2: To becoming a fugitive. For another 13 years. He was running.
- 46:59Speaker 4: And running.
- 47:00Speaker 2: And every bit of opportunities he had. He wanted to
- 47:03Speaker 2: kill him. Now let's speak a few things. While David
- 47:06Speaker 2: was running. Listen. Life is not about you alone. Your
- 47:12Speaker 2: purpose is deeper than you. If we can come to that.
- 47:15Speaker 2: You will value your pain. And just understand.
- 47:18Speaker 3: That there are people who will not emerge. Until you
- 47:21Speaker 3: come to their level to bring them out. There were
- 47:28Speaker 3: people who the Bible said were.
- 47:32Speaker 2: Discontented, were in distress, were in pain.
- 47:38Speaker 3: It was important for David to become a similitude for
- 47:41Speaker 3: the destiny of those ones to speak. The people who
- 47:44Speaker 3: fight side by side with you, you will have to
- 47:46Speaker 3: go to where they are.
- 47:48Speaker 2: Do you understand what I'm saying? Do you understand what
- 47:50Speaker 2: I'm saying? You don't know your team yet. they will
- 47:57Speaker 2: be loyal to you because they saw how God picked
- 48:01Speaker 2: you up.
- 48:03Speaker 3: When you emerge before your team assembles, listen, you may
- 48:09Speaker 3: not even know those who are coming for the good
- 48:11Speaker 3: things they are seeing.
- 48:13Speaker 2: It is easy.
- 48:14Speaker 3: Listen, success can be very lonely. I can't say it's
- 48:17Speaker 3: lonely at the top. I've already done a teaching to that.
- 48:19Speaker 3: That it's not lonely at the top, it's your character
- 48:21Speaker 3: that is bad. And the reason why your character is
- 48:23Speaker 3: bad is because you didn't come from scratch with those
- 48:25Speaker 3: you should work with at the top. Let me tell
- 48:28Speaker 3: you a story. One of the most impactful ministry in
- 48:31Speaker 3: recent time, Billy Graham ministry. Those who function with him
- 48:34Speaker 3: in his 90s were those that they were together in
- 48:37Speaker 3: their 20s. You can actually function with people who are
- 48:40Speaker 3: known for love. If you will, but you can actually
- 48:42Speaker 3: hold them. Never be afraid of falling over that people
- 48:46Speaker 3: will fall off from. Do you understand what I'm saying here?
- 48:48Speaker 2: Very, very important. Alright? So look at this. There were
- 48:50Speaker 2: people who were in distress, who were discontented, who were
- 48:53Speaker 2: in lack. They will not become anything except that God
- 48:57Speaker 2: will say, David, it is not the throne first. There
- 48:59Speaker 2: are people you must pick. And they went after them. Alright?
- 49:02Speaker 3: And when those men saw him, so you wonder, I'm
- 49:04Speaker 3: in distress. See, if you know my problem, you will
- 49:07Speaker 3: not be talking to me. And you wonder where you
- 49:08Speaker 3: get to places with your problem. People who have problems
- 49:11Speaker 3: still want to talk to you. It is your anointing
- 49:13Speaker 3: that is calling them. You are wondering, say see me
- 49:16Speaker 3: that you are confiding in if you know what i'm
- 49:18Speaker 3: battling with see you are battling with it does not
- 49:20Speaker 3: change the fact that you still carry the grace to
- 49:23Speaker 3: bring them out they know you are the one who
- 49:26Speaker 3: doesn't know they know if you talk too much i
- 49:30Speaker 3: wonder what is he saying they see explain from today
- 49:32Speaker 3: to tomorrow you will explain they know that you have
- 49:36Speaker 3: what it takes.
- 49:39Speaker 2: Say, see, I'm sea trekking. You, you are riding jeep. Say, see, listen.
- 49:42Speaker 3: It's not about that. We know what you got. Never
- 49:45Speaker 3: try to explain to those kind of people. Because God
- 49:47Speaker 3: has sent you to them and sent them to come
- 49:50Speaker 3: after you. Listen, you will recognize your captain when you
- 49:52Speaker 3: meet them.
- 49:54Speaker 2: They have your message. They have your word.
- 49:57Speaker 4: Okay?
- 49:58Speaker 3: And the Bible said men who were in distress came
- 50:01Speaker 3: to David in a cave called Hadulam. When you come,
- 50:09Speaker 3: that cave was the kind of place where you see
- 50:10Speaker 3: seven boys about to sleep at night. And they'll say,
- 50:13Speaker 3: what will we eat tonight? Say, I have no money.
- 50:14Speaker 2: You 10K, they'll say no. You 1K, they'll say no. 500,
- 50:16Speaker 2: I have no money. But it does not change the
- 50:19Speaker 2: fact that it is making a progress.
- 50:22Speaker 3: Do you understand what I'm saying? When the Bible began
- 50:24Speaker 3: to list the mighty men of David, you will be amazed.
- 50:28Speaker 3: Is this the same David? But listen, that's not where
- 50:31Speaker 3: I'm going. Why was it important for David to go
- 50:34Speaker 3: through that route? It was because even David did not
- 50:37Speaker 3: know himself.
- 50:41Speaker 2: Oh, David, the sweet Simon of Israel. Yes.
- 50:47Speaker 3: If he had moved from the anointing to the throne,
- 50:50Speaker 3: it would be worse than Saul. Listen, there are people
- 50:57Speaker 3: you dislike what they have done, and if care is
- 51:00Speaker 3: not taken, you won't dislike them. But you already have
- 51:02Speaker 3: all the tendencies to be worse than them, unless God
- 51:05Speaker 3: passes you through the process.
- 51:07Speaker 2: Some people, they hate the dysfunctionality in their homes.
- 51:10Speaker 3: And they forget that they are already raising another dysfunctional family.
- 51:14Speaker 3: And now they are even more skillful. The things their
- 51:16Speaker 3: dad was not confident to do, they can do it.
- 51:18Speaker 3: Eating a problem is not enough. You must be equipped
- 51:24Speaker 3: not to repeat it. Do you understand what I am saying?
- 51:26Speaker 3: You must be equipped. Listen now, Saul did many bad things.
- 51:31Speaker 3: In fact, as a matter of fact, Saul did not
- 51:34Speaker 3: do as many bad things as David. The problem Saul
- 51:38Speaker 3: had was that he was not of a contrite heart. See,
- 51:44Speaker 3: God is not intimidated by your problem. Do you understand
- 51:49Speaker 3: what I'm saying? Let me give you two scenarios. When
- 51:52Speaker 3: Saul went ahead of Samuel to sacrifice, and Samuel began
- 51:56Speaker 3: to rebuke Saul, he said, if you have waited today,
- 51:59Speaker 3: the kingdom would have been established over you for life.
- 52:03Speaker 2: Do you know the meaning of that statement? You didn't
- 52:05Speaker 2: know it. You don't know it. Do you know what
- 52:07Speaker 2: that means?
- 52:08Speaker 3: He said if you had waited, the kingdom would have
- 52:10Speaker 3: been established for life. Meaning that David, that God was
- 52:13Speaker 3: saying there will be no need for David.
- 52:15Speaker 2: I can still find a way to do everything through Saul.
- 52:19Speaker 3: That was what God was saying. It would not have
- 52:23Speaker 3: been Jesus, thou son of David. It would have been Jesus,
- 52:25Speaker 3: thou son of Saul. Saul, the same Saul. God was
- 52:31Speaker 3: finding every way to use him. But he wasn't seeing it.
- 52:34Speaker 3: And when Samuel rebuked him, you know what he said?
- 52:36Speaker 3: He said, at least go and sacrifice with me. Just
- 52:40Speaker 3: let's keep appearance. God said, he's not the kind of man.
- 52:44Speaker 3: Compared to David when he killed Uriah and Nathan came
- 52:47Speaker 3: and he said, you are the man.
- 52:48Speaker 2: What did David do? He tore his garment openly before
- 52:50Speaker 2: his men and said, I've seen. That is the man.
- 52:53Speaker 2: It is not perfection. It is contrivedness of heart.
- 52:56Speaker 3: That's why we read that scripture said, flawless performance is
- 52:59Speaker 3: nothing to you. He said, I learned God worship when
- 53:03Speaker 3: my pride was shattered.
- 53:06Speaker 2: God is not looking for your flawlessness. Can you take
- 53:09Speaker 2: his correction? Can you amend? He's not trying to make
- 53:15Speaker 2: you perfect. No. Okay, but I'm going somewhere. Please sit down.
- 53:24Speaker 2: How many of you have trekked before in Hudson, under Hudson?
- 53:27Speaker 3: You've trekked this kind of a bujalt Funny sun that
- 53:31Speaker 3: will start shining by 9 o'clock.
- 53:34Speaker 4: Hot sun.
- 53:35Speaker 2: Trek.
- 53:37Speaker 3: I have trekked in this life. So I've been called
- 53:39Speaker 3: walker man. And I remember one particular time. I was
- 53:47Speaker 3: trekking to the bank.
- 53:49Speaker 2: And I trekked so much.
- 53:50Speaker 3: My skin tone changed. By the time I got to
- 53:52Speaker 3: the bank. You know there is something that will make
- 53:54Speaker 3: you darker. And when I got to the bank. You
- 53:56Speaker 3: know as you open that door. And the AC just
- 53:58Speaker 3: goes on. In another 30 seconds. You forget the fact
- 54:02Speaker 3: that you are trekking.
- 54:04Speaker 2: What you call problem now, one wind from God. You
- 54:08Speaker 2: will not remember you went through it.
- 54:11Speaker 3: Listen, when that time comes that you can no longer remember,
- 54:15Speaker 3: you have the tendency of doing things you didn't know
- 54:17Speaker 3: you can do. Can you still remember where God picked
- 54:24Speaker 3: you from? See, listen, problems are painful, but their memory
- 54:28Speaker 3: is volatile. You try to... I was asking my wife.
- 54:34Speaker 3: I said, when we go to the hospital, women are
- 54:36Speaker 3: trying to deliver. Nurses, midwives, women, they are harsh on them.
- 54:41Speaker 3: They forgot that day too. They gave birth someday. Don't
- 54:44Speaker 3: they know how it feels? My wife looked at me
- 54:45Speaker 3: and said, it's because they are forgotten. Have you seen
- 54:49Speaker 3: a woman who is in the labor room and crying?
- 54:53Speaker 2: Doctor said, push. Husband, I will not do it again.
- 54:57Speaker 2: Don't even come near me. few weeks after baby what
- 55:07Speaker 2: is happening she has forgotten the light afflictions the bible
- 55:11Speaker 2: called them light afflictions they are not worthy to be
- 55:16Speaker 2: compared to the glory.
- 55:20Speaker 3: It is light when you are in it it looks
- 55:22Speaker 3: heavy it is light see the afflictions are very light
- 55:29Speaker 3: I am going somewhere are you with me Are you
- 55:32Speaker 3: still getting blessed? Deuteronomy chapter number 8 Let me start
- 55:38Speaker 3: the reading from verse 2 Then I will jump again
- 55:41Speaker 3: and show you something He said you shall remember all
- 55:43Speaker 3: the way Which the Lord your God led you these
- 55:45Speaker 3: 40 years in the wilderness To humble you To prove
- 55:50Speaker 3: you To know what is in your heart Meaning that
- 55:53Speaker 3: Sometimes we can't know what is in a man's heart
- 55:55Speaker 3: Until the man is in distress Yes Alright He said
- 56:01Speaker 3: to know what is in your heart Whether you will
- 56:02Speaker 3: keep his commandments or no.
- 56:04Speaker 2: Alright? Go to verse 3 now.
- 56:10Speaker 3: And he humbled you and suffered you to hunger and
- 56:12Speaker 3: fed you with manna, which thou knowest not, neither did
- 56:14Speaker 3: your fathers know, that he might make thee know that
- 56:16Speaker 3: man does not live by bread only, but by every
- 56:18Speaker 3: word that proceeds out of the mouth of the Lord
- 56:20Speaker 3: does man live.
- 56:20Speaker 2: What is the Bible saying here? The Bible is saying
- 56:22Speaker 2: that the length of winter, listen to this, listen to this.
- 56:26Speaker 2: 40 years was not compulsory. It was 40 years because
- 56:29Speaker 2: that was as long as it took you to know
- 56:31Speaker 2: that man does not live by bread alone. What is
- 56:35Speaker 2: the essence now? That he might make you... So it
- 56:40Speaker 2: means that if it had caught you from day one,
- 56:44Speaker 2: that man does not live by bread alone.
- 56:47Speaker 3: What we do is that people now spend 40 years
- 56:49Speaker 3: out of their dullness to learn and make it a
- 56:52Speaker 3: course and a curriculum for the next generation.
- 56:55Speaker 2: If you don't do 40 years, you didn't emerge well.
- 56:58Speaker 2: Do you understand that?
- 57:01Speaker 3: When the length of wilderness is extended, it's not because
- 57:03Speaker 3: God is like that. It's because you are like that.
- 57:06Speaker 3: What is the lesson God wants to learn in this season?
- 57:08Speaker 3: Once you get it, class over.
- 57:11Speaker 2: That is it. Okay?
- 57:13Speaker 3: Now, let's continue. Let me show you a part of
- 57:17Speaker 3: that scripture. Let's jump to, let's go to verse 10.
- 57:24Speaker 3: Are you there now?
- 57:27Speaker 2: Look at it. He said, and when thou hast eaten
- 57:29Speaker 2: and art full, thou shalt bless the Lord your God. Alright?
- 57:34Speaker 2: For the good land which he has given you. God
- 57:37Speaker 2: is bringing somebody to a good land. Now look at
- 57:39Speaker 2: verse 11. Quickly. He said, beware. This is the issue.
- 57:44Speaker 3: He said, beware that thou forgets not the Lord thy
- 57:48Speaker 3: God in not keeping his commandment and his judgment.
- 57:51Speaker 2: And it starts, which I commanded this day. Verse 12 now.
- 57:53Speaker 2: Look at it.
- 57:54Speaker 3: He said, less when thou hast eaten and hast full,
- 57:57Speaker 3: and have built godly houses, and dwell therein, 13. And
- 58:01Speaker 3: when thy hearts and thy flocks multiply, and thy silver
- 58:04Speaker 3: and gold is multiplied, and thou hast all that you
- 58:07Speaker 3: have is multiplied, 14 now.
- 58:09Speaker 2: He said, then thy hearts be lifted up, and you
- 58:12Speaker 2: forget the Lord thy God, which brought thee forth out
- 58:14Speaker 2: of the land of Egypt.
- 58:15Speaker 3: Meaning that, the moment your problem is over, you can
- 58:19Speaker 3: forget God on time. When you are going through, he says, God,
- 58:22Speaker 3: I can never forget you. He's saying, I know from experience.
- 58:26Speaker 2: This same thing I'm doing, I've done it in the
- 58:28Speaker 2: life of millions of people. When they get it, they
- 58:30Speaker 2: forget me. Let me give you the illustration. Women. Guys.
- 58:36Speaker 2: A guy is pursuing a girl.
- 58:38Speaker 3: If care is not taken, the best moment of that
- 58:41Speaker 3: contact will be when the guy is pursuing the girl.
- 58:44Speaker 2: Okay?
- 58:45Speaker 3: When a guy is interested in a girl, all of
- 58:47Speaker 3: a sudden, that's when he starts texting. That's when he
- 58:50Speaker 3: starts messaging. That's when he starts saying, what did you eat?
- 58:55Speaker 2: Where are you going? How was work today? Can I
- 58:58Speaker 2: see your face? And all those things. Why? He's pursuing.
- 59:04Speaker 2: The same guy gets the same girl and she's the
- 59:06Speaker 2: one saying, you have not even called me. So I'm
- 59:08Speaker 2: busy with work.
- 59:08Speaker 3: Because he forgot he forgot that the way to keep
- 59:12Speaker 3: this kind is to keep pursuing you have to initiate
- 59:16Speaker 3: a process see let me tell you something god is
- 59:18Speaker 3: like that the way we are going to church father
- 59:20Speaker 3: give me give me he will give you but when
- 59:23Speaker 3: he does he's not the one who is now pursuing
- 59:25Speaker 3: you and say son I have not seen you in
- 59:27Speaker 3: my house. I have not seen you do this. You
- 59:29Speaker 3: don't even keep your morning devotion again. You don't even
- 59:31Speaker 3: do this again.
- 59:32Speaker 2: When you have eaten and you are full, when you
- 59:34Speaker 2: have built your good houses, he said, beware that you
- 59:37Speaker 2: don't forget the Lord your God. That is why when
- 59:42Speaker 2: you are going through those things, see, remember, the ones
- 59:45Speaker 2: you say are scars that will not go away, they
- 59:47Speaker 2: are scars that will prevent this scripture from coming to pass.
- 59:49Speaker 2: This thing is not going away so that you will
- 59:51Speaker 2: not be able to forget the Lord your God who
- 59:54Speaker 2: has brought you out of Egypt. He doesn't want you
- 1:00:00Speaker 2: to forget. Did David forget? Yes. We didn't know he
- 1:00:09Speaker 2: could do what he did.
- 1:00:13Speaker 3: A man that suffered like that to become king, that
- 1:00:15Speaker 3: knew how Saul used his position to oppress him. A
- 1:00:19Speaker 3: man who was angry at oppression. A man who would
- 1:00:23Speaker 3: have said, I will never oppress anybody. The same man
- 1:00:26Speaker 3: stood on top of his house, looked around, It was
- 1:00:31Speaker 3: not even about standing. The Bible said it was at
- 1:00:33Speaker 3: the time that kings go to battle. Be careful when
- 1:00:38Speaker 3: you grow to the point that you can delegate to
- 1:00:40Speaker 3: now become a Jew. The purpose of delegation is to
- 1:00:43Speaker 3: be effective. Once you begin to delegate and you are
- 1:00:47Speaker 3: now a Jew, you will fall to this trap. It
- 1:00:50Speaker 3: will also happen when God has blessed you with men.
- 1:00:53Speaker 3: People are ready to do everything for you. You must
- 1:00:55Speaker 3: now give yourself to prayer and to the ministry of
- 1:00:58Speaker 3: the Lord. Do you understand what I'm saying? When the
- 1:01:02Speaker 3: kings were going to battle, why? Because these are battles
- 1:01:04Speaker 3: that have to do with a lot of things. With land,
- 1:01:06Speaker 3: with territories.
- 1:01:08Speaker 2: Alright? The Bible said he stood.
- 1:01:09Speaker 4: Why?
- 1:01:10Speaker 2: David already has mighty men, Abishai, all of them.
- 1:01:13Speaker 3: In fact, when Saul was pursuing him, they had to call,
- 1:01:15Speaker 3: they said, David, you don't go to war with us again.
- 1:01:19Speaker 3: They were ready to die for him. They said, lest
- 1:01:21Speaker 3: the light of Israel is put out, don't go to
- 1:01:24Speaker 3: war with us again. That was the same man that
- 1:01:27Speaker 3: now stood there. and he saw a fine girl laughing.
- 1:01:33Speaker 3: I don't have time. I would have loved to show you.
- 1:01:36Speaker 3: This girl and her husband just married three months before.
- 1:01:40Speaker 2: Okay? Just three months before this time.
- 1:01:42Speaker 3: Ideally, Uriah ought to stay with his wife for one
- 1:01:47Speaker 3: full year.
- 1:01:48Speaker 2: That was the law. Be careful of overzealousness. You can't
- 1:01:52Speaker 2: help God. If you die today, that thing you are
- 1:01:56Speaker 2: trying to do overzealously, somebody else.
- 1:01:57Speaker 4: Will do it.
- 1:01:59Speaker 3: Uriah would not have died if he had just kept
- 1:02:04Speaker 3: his zeal. See, zeal is powerful, but you need wisdom.
- 1:02:09Speaker 3: He had just married three months before. Bathsheba, the girl bathing,
- 1:02:14Speaker 3: was actually the granddaughter of Ahithophel. Ahithophel was actually David's
- 1:02:20Speaker 3: chief advisor. He was an older colleague, but David called
- 1:02:23Speaker 3: him friend. Listen to what I'm saying.
- 1:02:27Speaker 2: So when David saw the girl. He said, go and
- 1:02:31Speaker 2: call her for me. And they called her.
- 1:02:34Speaker 3: Say, ah, my lord, king, ah, I'm Bathsheba, I'm the
- 1:02:38Speaker 3: wife of one of your servants, Uriah, who has gone
- 1:02:41Speaker 3: to war.
- 1:02:41Speaker 4: Ah.
- 1:02:43Speaker 2: Were you not the one that got married to him? Ah,
- 1:02:45Speaker 2: where the one? What should the king do? Ah, my God.
- 1:02:49Speaker 2: This guy, go and call him now. Come and stay
- 1:02:50Speaker 2: with your wife. No. He said, I want her. And
- 1:02:54Speaker 2: he took her, used his power, and he slept with her.
- 1:02:58Speaker 4: Okay? Okay?
- 1:02:59Speaker 2: And when she got pregnant, ah, she still had more capacity.
- 1:03:03Speaker 2: Are you following what I'm saying?
- 1:03:06Speaker 3: I would have loved to show you medically that I
- 1:03:10Speaker 3: didn't sleep with her once. There's actually a medical proof.
- 1:03:14Speaker 3: Because she had just finished her flow. You know how
- 1:03:18Speaker 3: to calculate calendar? Ah, okay, let me leave you. Let
- 1:03:22Speaker 3: me just stop. It was not a one-time thing. You
- 1:03:28Speaker 3: understand what I'm saying? Somebody's wife. So, he said, go
- 1:03:33Speaker 3: and call Uriah. They went to call him.
- 1:03:37Speaker 2: He said, Uriah, what have you been doing? Your wife
- 1:03:40Speaker 2: is there. Go into your wife. He gave him meat.
- 1:03:43Speaker 2: Gave him everything. The guy did not go.
- 1:03:46Speaker 3: They called him and said, Uriah didn't go anywhere. He
- 1:03:48Speaker 3: called the guy. The Bible said, he got him drunk.
- 1:03:51Speaker 3: He got the guy so drunk. In his drunken state,
- 1:03:54Speaker 3: he slept at the gate. He said, The Jacob covenant
- 1:03:59Speaker 3: is in the field. Joab my master is in the tent.
- 1:04:02Speaker 3: How will I go in to my wife? But David,
- 1:04:06Speaker 3: a man after God's heart, has gone after somebody else's wife.
- 1:04:09Speaker 3: Do you know the wife is saying, how will I
- 1:04:11Speaker 3: do this? The one that God said is after my heart.
- 1:04:14Speaker 3: It should have occurred to David, God selecting you, you
- 1:04:17Speaker 3: are not the best. If it was based on nobility,
- 1:04:20Speaker 3: this guy was better. Do you understand what I'm saying here?
- 1:04:25Speaker 3: David said, I know what to do. You're a loyal man.
- 1:04:28Speaker 3: We'll kill you with that loyalty. And he wrote the
- 1:04:31Speaker 3: guy's death note. And he gave it to that same guy.
- 1:04:35Speaker 3: The man, after God's act, didn't think twice. He said,
- 1:04:38Speaker 3: give Joab. Joab knows what to do.
- 1:04:40Speaker 2: And he gave Joab. Be careful.
- 1:04:43Speaker 3: Listen to what I'm saying. Be careful of rebels you
- 1:04:46Speaker 3: erased through your own rebellion. Because when Absalom began to
- 1:04:53Speaker 3: pursue after David, David said, when you catch this young man,
- 1:04:56Speaker 3: don't kill him. When he's, eh, hung.
- 1:04:58Speaker 2: Between two trees, it was drop who saw him. It
- 1:05:01Speaker 2: speared him.
- 1:05:03Speaker 3: Because it was all the secret of David. So David
- 1:05:05Speaker 3: had to tell Solomon, don't let this guy's head go
- 1:05:07Speaker 3: to the grave in Piso.
- 1:05:09Speaker 2: He knows too much. He can't destroy you. Okay?
- 1:05:12Speaker 3: So David did all that. They went there and they put,
- 1:05:15Speaker 3: the Bible, listen to what happened. The Bible said, they
- 1:05:17Speaker 3: put Uriah where the battle is fierce, where the.
- 1:05:20Speaker 2: Valiant men are.
- 1:05:23Speaker 3: And the instruction David gave was that let the mighty
- 1:05:25Speaker 3: men withdraw from him. Meaning that even in that same place,
- 1:05:31Speaker 3: you would have survived with mighty men. Your mighty men
- 1:05:34Speaker 3: will not withdraw.
- 1:05:35Speaker 2: You didn't say the amen louder than clear.
- 1:05:40Speaker 3: The mighty men, your wife. When she now said, anything
- 1:05:43Speaker 3: you want to do, go and do it with your life.
- 1:05:46Speaker 3: You will not survive it. Your mighty men will not withdraw.
- 1:05:50Speaker 2: And they killed David. Uriah and David said Bathsheba.
- 1:05:56Speaker 3: You can move in now and David moved on like
- 1:06:00Speaker 3: no man's business he continued he continued till month before
- 1:06:08Speaker 3: God now tell Nathan I have this guy just kept
- 1:06:11Speaker 3: on singing psalms and singing songs he has not come
- 1:06:14Speaker 3: back to say forgive me where is he getting this
- 1:06:18Speaker 3: information from he just moved on And said, go and
- 1:06:24Speaker 3: reach out to him. And Nathan came. And he said,
- 1:06:27Speaker 3: there's a story I want to tell you. There's a
- 1:06:30Speaker 3: man in Israel who has several sheep. And he has
- 1:06:34Speaker 3: a neighbor that has just one. And when a visitor
- 1:06:38Speaker 3: came to him, he took one of his neighbor and
- 1:06:41Speaker 3: killed for that visitor.
- 1:06:43Speaker 2: What do you think should be done to such a man?
- 1:06:46Speaker 2: David said, he should be stopped back sevenfold. This, this, this, that.
- 1:06:51Speaker 2: He should die.
- 1:06:53Speaker 3: You know how that you pass judgment when you don't
- 1:06:55Speaker 3: know it's about you. And Nathan said, David, you are
- 1:07:01Speaker 3: that man. When Saul your master died, the Lord said,
- 1:07:04Speaker 3: did I not give you all his wife?
- 1:07:07Speaker 2: If you wanted more.
- 1:07:07Speaker 3: Would I not have given to you? But you went
- 1:07:10Speaker 3: to your neighbor's house, Uriah, and you took the wife
- 1:07:14Speaker 3: and you killed him.
- 1:07:16Speaker 2: Now this, this, this, this. What did David eat? All
- 1:07:20Speaker 2: his garment.
- 1:07:23Speaker 3: That scar never left him. Go and read the book
- 1:07:24Speaker 3: of Matthew. When they were listing the names of sons.
- 1:07:28Speaker 3: When they go to Solomon. It says Solomon the daughter.
- 1:07:30Speaker 3: The son of Bathsheba that she brought to Jacob. The
- 1:07:33Speaker 3: wife of Uriah whom he slew. There are stories that
- 1:07:37Speaker 3: God will not take away from the memories of men.
- 1:07:40Speaker 3: So that you can always remember. That I should not
- 1:07:43Speaker 3: mess up again. So when you look at David. Look
- 1:07:48Speaker 3: at this possibility now. Meanwhile, all the running up and
- 1:07:52Speaker 3: down was God trying to rescue him from these tendencies.
- 1:07:58Speaker 3: So imagine if David was crowned the same way they
- 1:08:00Speaker 3: crown Saul. How many people would he have killed? See,
- 1:08:06Speaker 3: this is what I'm trying to teach you.
- 1:08:08Speaker 2: Be careful how you cut.
- 1:08:10Speaker 3: Down to sizes. Those who have gone ahead wouldn't do
- 1:08:12Speaker 3: it well. Your ability to know the problem is not
- 1:08:16Speaker 3: the same thing as knowing the solution. You can be
- 1:08:19Speaker 3: worse than the chaos they created.
- 1:08:23Speaker 2: You can.
- 1:08:25Speaker 3: Share your story with you. I begin to draw the curtain.
- 1:08:32Speaker 3: One time, at certain season of my life.
- 1:08:38Speaker 2: Okay? At certain season of my life.
- 1:08:47Speaker 3: Where somewhere, I don't want to over describe it. Let
- 1:08:52Speaker 3: me just say, it was a family house. NYC family house.
- 1:08:58Speaker 3: When we got there, I observed the settings. I knew
- 1:09:04Speaker 3: the things to avoid and how to manage myself. When
- 1:09:08Speaker 3: it was time for leadership selection.
- 1:09:10Speaker 2: They called us and said, what are the things you
- 1:09:12Speaker 2: guys would like to change in this house if you
- 1:09:16Speaker 2: have the opportunity? I mentioned about five. Then they should
- 1:09:19Speaker 2: work on this, they should work on that, they should
- 1:09:21Speaker 2: work on this, they should work on that. Okay, thank
- 1:09:23Speaker 2: you so much, Pastor, for calling our attention to that.
- 1:09:28Speaker 2: People mention, work on this, this is not nice, this
- 1:09:30Speaker 2: is not kind. Listen to what I'm saying.
- 1:09:33Speaker 3: When that set left, and it was time for my badge,
- 1:09:38Speaker 3: they fought themselves so much so that 75% of people
- 1:09:43Speaker 3: packed out of family house.
- 1:09:46Speaker 2: At some point, they even broke bottles.
- 1:09:49Speaker 3: These same people identified that their predecessors were not perfect.
- 1:09:54Speaker 3: Only for them to leave a worse template. Do you
- 1:09:58Speaker 3: understand what I'm saying?
- 1:10:00Speaker 2: When God breaks you, you move from knowing people's problem
- 1:10:03Speaker 2: and defect.
- 1:10:04Speaker 3: To seeing loss. And say, God, now I know I
- 1:10:09Speaker 3: am not better. When that happens, you become less judgmental.
- 1:10:15Speaker 3: Become less judgmental. You now carry the grace. It takes
- 1:10:21Speaker 3: to help. And the grace to restore. All the life
- 1:10:30Speaker 3: of David. He will never forget that event. It was
- 1:10:35Speaker 3: a stigma. Some people used to wonder. I admit to
- 1:10:37Speaker 3: have thought about it. Imagine David entering heaven.
- 1:10:41Speaker 2: Oh David.
- 1:10:42Speaker 6: David.
- 1:10:43Speaker 2: David. And Uriah just passed. If he has been jumping,
- 1:10:53Speaker 2: King David is here. Hello, Ryan. I know you don't
- 1:11:00Speaker 2: be angry.
- 1:11:08Speaker 4: Listen.
- 1:11:11Speaker 2: When that which you have always wished to boast about
- 1:11:13Speaker 2: is gone, all you have now is the opportunity to
- 1:11:18Speaker 2: boast in him.
- 1:11:22Speaker 3: And that's the only boast thing that is right. Any
- 1:11:25Speaker 3: other thing is pride. Before I continue and tie this up,
- 1:11:30Speaker 3: I want you to look at your life.
- 1:11:32Speaker 2: I'm not trying to... Look at your life. Look at
- 1:11:35Speaker 2: the areas that your bones have been broken. The areas...
- 1:11:38Speaker 2: You know yourself. And say, Father, I choose to thank you.
- 1:11:43Speaker 2: I want to give you a minute to do that.
- 1:11:46Speaker 4: A minute. A minute.
- 1:11:49Speaker 2: You look at yourself. Look at The story is about
- 1:11:52Speaker 2: you that no one will believe if they will know.
- 1:11:54Speaker 2: They won't believe it.
- 1:11:55Speaker 4: Let me give you a minute.
- 1:12:02Speaker 2: Let me give you a minute.
- 1:12:26Speaker 3: The depths, the mess that is on ground, the things
- 1:12:33Speaker 3: that won't go away, the memories, the The stuffs, they
- 1:12:40Speaker 3: are not pointing to your wretchedness. They are pointing to
- 1:12:43Speaker 3: a perfect Savior. They are showing you that now you
- 1:12:48Speaker 3: need Him.
- 1:12:48Speaker 2: When you look at your life, the things you wish
- 1:12:55Speaker 2: you could boast about, maybe somebody's old love, your tie
- 1:13:01Speaker 2: that is pulled out is that you lost your virginity
- 1:13:05Speaker 2: and you wish you could brag and marry it as
- 1:13:07Speaker 2: a virgin Now you can't beg. But you can help
- 1:13:12Speaker 2: a generation coming behind. And just say, I found grace.
- 1:13:19Speaker 2: I found grace. I found help. I found help.
- 1:13:23Speaker 4: 30 more seconds.
- 1:13:27Speaker 2: Thank you, Father.
- 1:13:30Speaker 4: Thank you, Lord. 30 more seconds. 30 more seconds.
- 1:13:37Speaker 2: 30 more seconds.
- 1:13:38Speaker 4: 30 more seconds.
- 1:13:54Speaker 2: Please pray.
- 1:14:29Speaker 3: In Jesus mighty name we are praying please be seated
- 1:14:33Speaker 3: let me show you a scripture.
- 1:14:34Speaker 2: I'm already bringing the service to a close.
- 1:14:37Speaker 5: 2 Samuel chapter number 16.
- 1:14:58Speaker 3: Look at this version of David after he was broken.
- 1:15:04Speaker 3: I want you to learn something from this story. A
- 1:15:07Speaker 3: man who could kill a man wouldn't trigger him.
- 1:15:11Speaker 4: Okay?
- 1:15:12Speaker 2: Look at the same man.
- 1:15:14Speaker 3: Let's look at the way he's responding to life now.
- 1:15:15Speaker 5: 2 Samuel 16 from verse 5.
- 1:15:22Speaker 2: And when King David, 2 Samuel 16 from verse.
- 1:15:24Speaker 3: 5, came to Bowerim, behold, thence came out a man
- 1:15:29Speaker 3: of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was.
- 1:15:31Speaker 2: Shimei, the son of Gerah. He came forth and cursed
- 1:15:36Speaker 2: still as he came. That is, as David was coming,
- 1:15:38Speaker 2: he was cursing David. 6 now.
- 1:15:41Speaker 3: And he cast stones at David. And that all the
- 1:15:45Speaker 3: servants of David. David was moving with his mighty men.
- 1:15:47Speaker 3: Who could kill you with one javelin? He was stoning them.
- 1:15:52Speaker 3: And all the people and all the mighty men were
- 1:15:54Speaker 3: on his right hand and on his left.
- 1:15:56Speaker 2: And Thor said to Shimei. When he cursed. Come out.
- 1:15:59Speaker 2: Come out. Thou bloody man. Thou man of Belial. The
- 1:16:05Speaker 2: Lord had returned upon.
- 1:16:07Speaker 3: You all the blood of the house of Saul. So
- 1:16:09Speaker 3: this time David was running from his son.
- 1:16:11Speaker 2: He said we know. We know. That what you did
- 1:16:14Speaker 2: to Saul's house. It will backfire. Is that not it?
- 1:16:17Speaker 2: You don't conclude about a man.
- 1:16:20Speaker 3: In whose stead you reign. And the Lord has delivered
- 1:16:23Speaker 3: the kingdom. Into the hands of Absalom your son. And
- 1:16:25Speaker 3: behold thou art taken in your mischief. Because you are
- 1:16:28Speaker 3: a bloody man. Then said Abishai of the son of
- 1:16:31Speaker 3: Zeruiah unto the king. Why should this dead dog. Cause
- 1:16:35Speaker 3: my Lord the king. Those guys, all they need is gold.
- 1:16:39Speaker 3: They will not need to throw the javelin twice. When
- 1:16:42Speaker 3: he said dead dog, you know.
- 1:16:43Speaker 2: What he was saying? They will get him. You understand
- 1:16:46Speaker 2: what I'm saying? Alright. Look at it. Look at verse
- 1:16:52Speaker 2: 9 now. Am I correct?
- 1:16:54Speaker 3: Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king?
- 1:16:56Speaker 3: Let me go over, I pray, and take off his head.
- 1:17:00Speaker 3: And the king said, what have I to do with you,
- 1:17:03Speaker 3: you sons of Zeruiah? Let him curse Because the Lord
- 1:17:09Speaker 3: said unto him, curse David.
- 1:17:11Speaker 2: Who shall then say, wherefore have you done so? I
- 1:17:14Speaker 2: will explain what that means.
- 1:17:15Speaker 3: And David said to Abishai and to all his servants,
- 1:17:18Speaker 3: my son which came forth from my bowels, seek my life.
- 1:17:21Speaker 3: How much more now may this Benjamite do it? Let
- 1:17:25Speaker 3: him alone. Let him curse. For the Lord has bidden him.
- 1:17:29Speaker 3: It may be that the Lord will look on my affliction.
- 1:17:32Speaker 3: I don't know, it will require me good for this cursing.
- 1:17:36Speaker 3: What David was saying is, they were saying, this guy
- 1:17:38Speaker 3: is cursing, let's kill him, let's waste him. David is saying, see,
- 1:17:41Speaker 3: I know what is happening. When you are going through
- 1:17:45Speaker 3: the tunnel, people insult you, don't reply them. He said,
- 1:17:50Speaker 3: maybe God will look at this insult and restore me again.
- 1:17:55Speaker 2: David before, the king, the man in his majesty, would
- 1:18:00Speaker 2: tell him, kill him at once.
- 1:18:03Speaker 3: But now he knows what it means to flee the throne.
- 1:18:07Speaker 3: He knows what it means to run from his son.
- 1:18:10Speaker 3: And he knows that this was the consequence of his mistake.
- 1:18:13Speaker 3: Because the verdict came, that sword will not leave your house.
- 1:18:17Speaker 3: He said, see, there is a way I would have
- 1:18:19Speaker 3: responded before. I can't do that again.
- 1:18:24Speaker 4: Okay?
- 1:18:24Speaker 3: So let them do it. You know what had happened?
- 1:18:28Speaker 3: He was sinning. It's something I can do too. I
- 1:18:33Speaker 3: have seen my own wretchedness.
- 1:18:35Speaker 4: Allow him.
- 1:18:37Speaker 3: When people who are allowed judgmental now become merciful and kind,
- 1:18:43Speaker 3: something has been broken. That is where life flows from.
- 1:18:47Speaker 3: That is when they can now supply. Listen to what
- 1:18:50Speaker 3: I'm saying. It was from that brokenness.
- 1:18:53Speaker 2: Go and read. Time is not on my side. I
- 1:18:56Speaker 2: would have shown you all the scriptures that has to
- 1:18:59Speaker 2: do with messianic prophecy. It was after that broken bone
- 1:19:02Speaker 2: experience that David began to will them. He couldn't see them.
- 1:19:05Speaker 2: The way Isaiah said that the year that Uzziah died,
- 1:19:08Speaker 2: I saw the Lord. The loss. The person that died.
- 1:19:15Speaker 2: That you can't forget.
- 1:19:16Speaker 3: The painful experience. That you cried and cried. God did
- 1:19:21Speaker 3: not rescue the person.
- 1:19:23Speaker 2: And now you are angry and offended. If there is
- 1:19:25Speaker 2: a God on that throne. Why did this person have
- 1:19:28Speaker 2: to die? Let me share a story with you. I
- 1:19:33Speaker 2: lost my mentor. Year 2000. I was 17 now. That's
- 1:19:39Speaker 2: 6 years ago. He had cancer. I left ministry, left
- 1:19:49Speaker 2: people in charge of the ministry to go stay with
- 1:19:51Speaker 2: him and to take care of him. And I watched
- 1:19:57Speaker 2: the man in his most humble state. I saw things.
- 1:20:07Speaker 2: The physiotherapist would come to help him after the surgery.
- 1:20:10Speaker 2: He And we shed tears. We have to run out.
- 1:20:13Speaker 2: We couldn't cope. And I watched the same man who
- 1:20:19Speaker 2: picked his Bible and read.
- 1:20:22Speaker 4: And we cried.
- 1:20:24Speaker 2: We fasted. We prayed.
- 1:20:27Speaker 4: God, heal him.
- 1:20:29Speaker 2: Restore him. I remember the time I was leaving for
- 1:20:33Speaker 2: a while to return back again.
- 1:20:34Speaker 3: And I heard the voice. Look at him very well.
- 1:20:38Speaker 3: Are you sure this is not the last time you'll
- 1:20:39Speaker 3: be seeing him? And I looked at him sitting on
- 1:20:41Speaker 3: the chair sleeping. And I said, God, just preserve him.
- 1:20:45Speaker 3: I couldn't imagine any future without him in that future.
- 1:20:52Speaker 2: And one day I went to minister in Lagos. I
- 1:20:55Speaker 2: just noticed when I woke up, I was hungry. Just
- 1:20:59Speaker 2: don't want to talk to anybody once you talk to me.
- 1:21:03Speaker 2: When I got to Lagos, somebody called me. I said,
- 1:21:08Speaker 2: Pastor Femi, where are you? I said, I'm in Lagos.
- 1:21:09Speaker 2: I said, are you sitting or standing? I said, I'm standing.
- 1:21:10Speaker 2: I said, find somewhere to sit down. I sat down.
- 1:21:14Speaker 2: I said, what's the issue? No, I didn't sit down.
- 1:21:16Speaker 2: I said, I'm seated. Tell me what you want to
- 1:21:18Speaker 2: tell me. He said, we are sorry we lost a
- 1:21:21Speaker 2: person this morning. My phone fell. Listen to what I'm
- 1:21:25Speaker 2: telling you. For three months, every night, I will pick
- 1:21:29Speaker 2: my phone and be messaging the number on WhatsApp. three
- 1:21:33Speaker 2: months please respond you can't go like this i know
- 1:21:37Speaker 2: you are somewhere around.
- 1:21:39Speaker 3: Ah one time i saw that i'm already having problem
- 1:21:43Speaker 3: i went to call my friend i said see this
- 1:21:46Speaker 3: is the challenge this is what is happening this this
- 1:21:49Speaker 3: is he said cry out for help he's no longer
- 1:21:52Speaker 3: normal there are losses you have that nobody on earth
- 1:21:56Speaker 3: can explain to you why this.
- 1:21:58Speaker 2: Was important Why should good people die? Listen to what
- 1:22:05Speaker 2: I'm saying. There are things you will not find answer
- 1:22:07Speaker 2: to till you see God face to face.
- 1:22:11Speaker 3: We will carry that grief and that pain for the
- 1:22:14Speaker 3: rest of our lives and it will keep showing us
- 1:22:16Speaker 3: that there is someone up there who knows more than
- 1:22:18Speaker 3: what we know. It is not every question we will
- 1:22:21Speaker 3: have answer to because some things are just deeper than us.
- 1:22:26Speaker 3: And sometimes if you have the opportunity to meet the person,
- 1:22:28Speaker 3: the person will tell you his time came. There is
- 1:22:31Speaker 3: nothing you are going to do about it. And sometimes
- 1:22:35Speaker 3: your life really began after these losses. Because you never
- 1:22:40Speaker 3: thought you could do life without them.
- 1:22:43Speaker 2: And now they are gone. Now you have to do life.
- 1:22:46Speaker 2: And you found out that God will never run out
- 1:22:48Speaker 2: of help. Don't mourn it. Appreciate the grace that came
- 1:22:53Speaker 2: after they left. Don't mourn it.
- 1:22:55Speaker 3: You will not always have answers. I have questions I
- 1:22:59Speaker 3: don't have answers to. People ask me, I said I
- 1:23:02Speaker 3: will try and answer.
- 1:23:03Speaker 2: But I am not God.
- 1:23:05Speaker 3: And I am not being sent to launder his image.
- 1:23:08Speaker 3: The ones I know, I know I can answer. The
- 1:23:10Speaker 3: ones I can't answer, can't answer. You wonder why someone was.
- 1:23:14Speaker 2: Don't good, help people. Don't so many good things. And
- 1:23:17Speaker 2: suddenly they are no more. You are wondering. You carry
- 1:23:20Speaker 2: that broken bones for the rest of your life. And
- 1:23:23Speaker 2: you lean on the staff.
- 1:23:25Speaker 4: Experience.
- 1:23:26Speaker 3: I watch a father in the body of Christ lose
- 1:23:28Speaker 3: his son. And I watch him preaching. And I'm saying,
- 1:23:32Speaker 3: what is this? I watched Dagewood Mills lose his son,
- 1:23:35Speaker 3: a medical doctor in the US. And I saw him
- 1:23:38Speaker 3: still preaching that same day. And they will carry that pain.
- 1:23:42Speaker 3: And people will come and insult on social media. If
- 1:23:44Speaker 3: you are truly good pastors and you are powerful, why
- 1:23:47Speaker 3: would you lose your sons? And they too will not
- 1:23:49Speaker 3: have any answer. And they will carry that thing. It
- 1:23:52Speaker 3: will keep showing them their humility. Listen to what I'm saying.
- 1:23:55Speaker 3: If you are a man of God and nobody can
- 1:23:57Speaker 3: point at you, you have become God of men. God
- 1:23:59Speaker 3: is going to allow you to make them insult you regardless.
- 1:24:02Speaker 2: Of your anointing so you will know that is God
- 1:24:10Speaker 2: let me ask you a question.
- 1:24:13Speaker 3: How do you define excellence in life let me give
- 1:24:16Speaker 3: you this illustration that you are a minister who is
- 1:24:19Speaker 3: running a ministry and young people are coming to learn
- 1:24:22Speaker 3: from you and everything is seamless and they say ah.
- 1:24:25Speaker 2: We know how to do it or there is a
- 1:24:28Speaker 2: young minister there Who is crying? And say, God, when
- 1:24:33Speaker 2: we are running service, generator is going off, this sound,
- 1:24:36Speaker 2: this sound, this. And your sound that has been perfect before,
- 1:24:40Speaker 2: for no just cause, everything went off.
- 1:24:43Speaker 3: And God has used that weakness to speak to that person.
- 1:24:46Speaker 3: Can you see that is also there? Look how he
- 1:24:48Speaker 3: handles it. I'm saying that some.
- 1:24:51Speaker 2: Things you call problem is God still doing his job
- 1:24:54Speaker 2: through your life. And it may not make sense. May
- 1:25:02Speaker 2: not make sense. I remember a season in my life.
- 1:25:10Speaker 2: God said give out your car. To the walk of
- 1:25:12Speaker 2: the church. Give out the car. I was on bike.
- 1:25:17Speaker 2: Then the devil came. He said remember you came to
- 1:25:19Speaker 2: this city on bike. I said yes. He said now
- 1:25:22Speaker 2: you are living. You are on bike. I said yes.
- 1:25:25Speaker 2: You have failed. Look at your life. You know the
- 1:25:28Speaker 2: family you are coming from. People don't really rise. There
- 1:25:32Speaker 2: is no difference. What was he trying to do?
- 1:25:34Speaker 3: He was trying to make me speak like Elijah.
- 1:25:36Speaker 2: What am I better than my forefathers? Do you understand
- 1:25:39Speaker 2: what I'm saying here? And I remember the scripture.
- 1:25:42Speaker 3: The life of a man does not consist of the
- 1:25:44Speaker 3: abundance of the things he possess.
- 1:25:45Speaker 2: There is much more to.
- 1:25:47Speaker 3: Me than this. We carry that hollow and we depend
- 1:25:56Speaker 3: on God for the rest of our days. Wrap up
- 1:25:59Speaker 3: with this scripture. I started with Hebrews 11. Hebrews 11.
- 1:26:10Speaker 2: See, don't forget what I told you.
- 1:26:13Speaker 3: When things happen that you can't explain, don't leave God.
- 1:26:18Speaker 3: You may seek answers. Don't lash on God. Do you
- 1:26:25Speaker 3: understand what I'm saying? Hebrews chapter number 11. Verse what now?
- 1:26:38Speaker 3: Verse 20. Let's start from verse 20. By faith Isaac
- 1:26:45Speaker 3: blessed Jacob and Esau concerning things to come. By faith
- 1:26:48Speaker 3: Jacob when he was dying blessed the both of the
- 1:26:50Speaker 3: sons of Joseph and worshipped leaning on the staff. He
- 1:26:55Speaker 3: was leaning on that which he learnt through maturity. Then
- 1:26:59Speaker 3: he could worship from there. Are you following what I'm
- 1:27:02Speaker 3: saying here? leaning on that which you learned through growth,
- 1:27:05Speaker 3: you could worship from there. Now worship for you is
- 1:27:08Speaker 3: no longer just about dancing and singing songs. There are
- 1:27:11Speaker 3: scars now. And you are seeing it. And remember, these
- 1:27:16Speaker 3: are things you would have seen before. Why was he
- 1:27:17Speaker 3: leaning on the star?
- 1:27:18Speaker 2: Because the whole law of his time has been pulled out.
- 1:27:21Speaker 3: When he began to lean on that which he depends
- 1:27:24Speaker 3: on through blessing from God, blessings can flow. Now he
- 1:27:29Speaker 3: could connect to the next generation. And people hear my teachings, say,
- 1:27:34Speaker 3: who is this man? The experience that birthed this almost
- 1:27:40Speaker 3: took my life. I wanted to die.
- 1:27:46Speaker 2: Not saying I thought about suicide once. I thought about
- 1:27:50Speaker 2: suicide every day. Every day. I would sit down and
- 1:27:58Speaker 2: see hands walking on the wall. And I'll break down
- 1:28:02Speaker 2: in tears again. Look how you gave her and family.
- 1:28:06Speaker 3: You left me in this cold world. For nonsense. Thinking
- 1:28:13Speaker 3: about it every day. That a generation will now be rescued.
- 1:28:19Speaker 2: Through your pains. That has turned to wisdom. Don't mourn it.
- 1:28:26Speaker 2: There is life. Flowing from that death. Don't mourn it.
- 1:28:31Speaker 3: In the valley of dry bones there were bones, but
- 1:28:34Speaker 3: before God there were an army. Get up on your
- 1:28:37Speaker 3: feet as mighty soldiers. Lift your hands to God. Now,
- 1:28:42Speaker 3: we're going to worship differently today. We'll thank Him for
- 1:28:45Speaker 3: the pain that showed us the need for healing. We'll
- 1:28:48Speaker 3: thank Him for the processes, the things we can't explain
- 1:28:53Speaker 3: that shows us the need for Him.
- 1:28:55Speaker 2: And you are going to worship differently, leaning on the
- 1:28:58Speaker 2: staff of That which I came to learn.
- 1:29:01Speaker 3: That which I came to understand. I mean that there
- 1:29:03Speaker 3: were things you have complained about in time past. But
- 1:29:05Speaker 3: now you are saying, thank God. And now I understand better.
- 1:29:09Speaker 3: Can I give you a moment? Can I give you
- 1:29:12Speaker 3: a moment?
- 1:29:13Speaker 2: Don't wait for a song. Don't wait for a song.
- 1:29:16Speaker 2: Just look at your own life. And pour out worship.
- 1:29:20Speaker 2: And pour out worship. Pour out worship. Just bless you.
- 1:29:25Speaker 3: You see, in this church, you don't have to play church.
- 1:29:27Speaker 3: You may want to sit on the floor. You may
- 1:29:29Speaker 3: want to lie down on the floor. Forget about Sunday dress.
- 1:29:32Speaker 2: Just anything that allows you to take that posture. That, yes,
- 1:29:36Speaker 2: this is the right posture in your heart. Take the
- 1:29:38Speaker 2: posture now. You may even want to sit down on
- 1:29:40Speaker 2: your chair. Take the posture.
- 1:29:42Speaker 3: And just thank Him for the pain I did not understand.
- 1:29:46Speaker 2: For the pain that looked like the end of my life.
- 1:29:48Speaker 2: For the waiting process that looked like you have left. Oh,
- 1:29:52Speaker 2: how that I've come to learn your ways now. Oh,
- 1:29:54Speaker 2: thank you, Father.
- 1:29:56Speaker 4: Thank you, Lord.
- 1:29:59Speaker 2: Thank you, Lord.
- 1:30:04Speaker 4: You're not a man, Lord.
- 1:30:07Speaker 2: You're not a man. You're the God who opens doors
- 1:30:16Speaker 2: no man can shut. You're not a man.
- 1:30:24Speaker 4: You're not a man.
- 1:30:25Speaker 6: You're the God of everything.
- 1:30:32Speaker 2: No one like you. No one like you. No one
- 1:30:38Speaker 2: like you. Jesus No one like.
- 1:30:46Speaker 6: You No one like you No one like you No
- 1:30:59Speaker 6: one like you Father No one like you.
- 1:31:06Speaker 2: Master You're the God You're the God of everything.
- 1:31:15Speaker 4: Oh, thank you, Father.
- 1:31:19Speaker 2: Thank you, Lord.
- 1:31:21Speaker 3: In the midst of that tunnel, in the midst of
- 1:31:23Speaker 3: that situation, I acknowledge that there is still none like you.
- 1:31:30Speaker 3: And I give you worship in the midst of my tunnel,
- 1:31:33Speaker 3: in the midst of the tongues.
- 1:31:35Speaker 2: I acknowledge you as God and I return praise and
- 1:31:38Speaker 2: glory to you. Thank you for the pain I did
- 1:31:41Speaker 2: not understand on The ones I had to mature to learn.
- 1:31:44Speaker 3: To know what was happening. For the losses I could
- 1:31:46Speaker 3: not interpret. And I had to come and understand true growth.
- 1:31:51Speaker 4: Thank you Lord.
- 1:31:52Speaker 3: You have one more minute to just pour praise. And
- 1:31:56Speaker 3: offer him sweet smelling incense of praise. Oh thank you Father.
- 1:32:03Speaker 4: Thank you Lord.
- 1:32:05Speaker 2: In Jesus mighty name we pray.
- 1:32:06Speaker 4: Listen.
- 1:32:16Speaker 3: It is not every time God responds to your instructions
- 1:32:20Speaker 3: with fantastic testimonies. Sometimes he allows you to go through
- 1:32:25Speaker 3: the process of what it means to lack what you.
- 1:32:27Speaker 2: Have just given. So he can give you mastery. Bring
- 1:32:33Speaker 2: you to a point where you can never lack it again.
- 1:32:36Speaker 2: Do you understand me? Do you understand what I am saying?
- 1:32:40Speaker 2: Do you understand? God can tell you Somebody you have
- 1:32:44Speaker 2: ever prayed with, just lose your peace about this guy.
- 1:32:45Speaker 2: God said he's not the one. Are you wondering?
- 1:32:49Speaker 3: The funny thing is that the guy will go and
- 1:32:52Speaker 3: marry somebody else, and you are thinking you will see
- 1:32:54Speaker 3: at some point that he will misbehave and say, this
- 1:32:57Speaker 3: is why God sent me not to marry him. The
- 1:32:58Speaker 3: person's marriage will be sweet. And you are still single.
- 1:33:06Speaker 2: And God is not wrong.
- 1:33:11Speaker 3: See, it is babies to think that when God tells
- 1:33:14Speaker 3: you to leave people or people leaves you, that they
- 1:33:15Speaker 3: will crash.
- 1:33:16Speaker 2: Sometimes they will even do better. And it looks like
- 1:33:20Speaker 2: God has forsaken you.
- 1:33:21Speaker 3: But listen, when the hand of God came upon you,
- 1:33:23Speaker 3: he outran the chariot of the king. You are waiting
- 1:33:27Speaker 3: for the hand. I'm saying you can become a reproach
- 1:33:30Speaker 3: they said you would become before you become what God
- 1:33:32Speaker 3: wants you to become. Once you leave that point where
- 1:33:38Speaker 3: you are trying to make sense to anybody, And prove
- 1:33:41Speaker 3: a point.
- 1:33:41Speaker 2: You have entered. You have entered. A dimension where nobody
- 1:33:45Speaker 2: can stop the blessings flowing. You have entered. Do you
- 1:33:48Speaker 2: understand what I'm saying here? Lift your hands and just
- 1:33:51Speaker 2: say thank you Lord. Some of you may be in
- 1:33:53Speaker 2: the midst of what I've just described. Thank him.
- 1:33:54Speaker 4: Regardless.
- 1:33:56Speaker 2: Thank him. Thank him. Thank you Lord. Thank you Lord.
- 1:34:07Speaker 3: We give you all the praise. In Jesus' mighty name,
- 1:34:11Speaker 3: we are praying. Can we just thank God for the
- 1:34:14Speaker 3: words we have heard?
- 1:34:15Speaker 2: Yes. For His word that is available for us in
- 1:34:18Speaker 2: every season. Come on, just thank Him. Thank you, Lord.
- 1:34:24Speaker 2: Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Lord. Oh
- 1:34:38Speaker 2: we bless you. Thank you Lord. Pay attention to the
- 1:34:44Speaker 2: body of wisdom God has given to you.
- 1:34:46Speaker 3: And the things he is telling you to go and
- 1:34:47Speaker 3: do after now. Pay attention to it. Pay attention to it.
- 1:34:51Speaker 3: Thank you Father.
- 1:34:53Speaker 2: In Jesus mighty name we are praying. I stretch my
- 1:34:56Speaker 2: hands towards you today.
- 1:34:58Speaker 3: And I decree and declare the blessings of the Lord
- 1:35:01Speaker 3: follows you. His very hand will protect you. I cover
- 1:35:06Speaker 3: you in the blood of Jesus.
- 1:35:08Speaker 2: And I decree that your son is not permitted to
- 1:35:10Speaker 2: set until you finish. In the name of Jesus.
- 1:35:14Speaker 3: Your story is not permitted to end until you sing
- 1:35:16Speaker 3: the songs of victory. You will win on all sides.
- 1:35:20Speaker 3: In the name of Jesus. I rebuke discouragement. I rebuke depression.
- 1:35:24Speaker 2: I ask that the hand of God rest upon you.
- 1:35:26Speaker 4: Be blessed.
- 1:35:28Speaker 2: In the name of Jesus. Thank you, blessed Father. In
- 1:35:31Speaker 2: Jesus' mighty name. Amen.
