Speaker 1: Whether you're shopping for your dad, your son, or a
• 0:02
Speaker 1: brother in law, you hardly know. Finding the right gifts
• 0:05
Speaker 1: for the men in your life can be a tall order.
• 0:07
Speaker 2: So here are six.
• 0:08
Speaker 1: Gifts I recommend for any guy, all of which have
• 0:11
Speaker 1: been tried, tested, and loved by myself and other CNN
• 0:14
Speaker 1: Underscored editors. Today's episode is sponsored by.
• 0:17
  Speaker 2: The Home Depot.
• 0:19
Speaker 1: A comfy pair of slippers is often a popular gift
• 0:21
Speaker 1: choice this time of year, but I want you to
• 0:23
Speaker 1: forget the image of furry moccasins that dominate the category.
• 0:26
Speaker 1: My new favorite is blare Ups. It's what I suggest
• 0:29
Speaker 1: to get any man's feed comfy at home. The calling
• 0:32
Speaker 1: card of these slippers is their one hundred percent wool construction.
• 0:36
Speaker 1: It's a naturally temperature regulating materials so the men you're
• 0:39
Speaker 1: shopping for can say goodbye to sweaty feet. They won't
• 0:42
Speaker 1: stink or itch, and though they start off feeling great,
• 0:45
Speaker 1: they shape to your foot as you wear them, making
• 0:47
Speaker 1: them even more comfortable over time. I've had my pair
• 0:50
Speaker 1: since last spring, and then the only shoes I wear
• 0:53
Speaker 1: at home. I like to give gifts that are actually useful,
• 0:55
Speaker 1: and we could have more purpose for the man in
• 0:57
Speaker 1: your life than a high quality wallet he'll carry around day.
• 1:00
Speaker 1: I've tested dozens of wallets over the years, and this
• 1:02
Speaker 1: is easily in my top three. If you're looking for
• 1:04
Speaker 1: a classic leather bifold, the Hide and Seek checks all
• 1:07
Speaker 1: the boxes with space for twelve cards and plenty of cash.
• 1:11
Speaker 1: Its name comes from all the secret compartments it has
• 1:13
Speaker 1: to stow away the contents you might not be reaching
• 1:15
Speaker 1: for on the daily. Don't tell anyone, but I have
• 1:17
Speaker 1: some one hundred dollars bills here in this hidden section.
• 1:20
Speaker 2: The leather here is a classic look.
• 1:22
Speaker 1: While I'm showing off a new wallet that's straight out
• 1:25
Speaker 1: of the box, my colleague Maxwell Shakulla has owned this
• 1:28
Speaker 1: same wallet as exact color for over a decade. It's
• 1:31
Speaker 1: developed a beautiful patina on the surface and it's become
• 1:34
Speaker 1: way less stiff over time. Whoever you're gifting this to
• 1:37
Speaker 1: is getting a buy for life product that won't need
• 1:39
Speaker 1: to be replaced anytime soon. If the man you're shopping
• 1:43
Speaker 1: for is serious about his coffee, then he has to
• 1:45
Speaker 1: have a Hariov sixty. It's maybe the most popular poor
• 1:49
Speaker 1: over dripper in the world, and it's become this famous
• 1:52
Speaker 1: for one big reason.
• 1:53
Speaker 2: It makes delicious coffee.
• 1:54
Speaker 1: That means a lot coming from me, someone who obsesses
• 1:57
Speaker 1: over all kinds of homemade coffee methods. I've tested a
• 2:00
Speaker 1: lot of poor over drippers, and the standout feature of
• 2:02
Speaker 1: the V sixty is its conical bottom. While other drippers
• 2:06
Speaker 1: have flat filters that can slow down the flow rate
• 2:08
Speaker 1: of the coffee, this shape lets the water move pretty freely.
• 2:12
Speaker 1: That means whoever's making the coffee has all the control.
• 2:16
Speaker 1: The V sixty comes in different materials, but in my opinion,
• 2:18
Speaker 1: this Japanese ceramic style makes the best gift. I'll leave
• 2:22
Speaker 1: mine out on display when I'm not even using it.
• 2:24
Speaker 1: And the best part about this kit is it comes
• 2:26
Speaker 1: with the tools to brew and share one hundred filters
• 2:29
Speaker 1: and this microwaveable serving Kraft throwing a bag of his
• 2:33
Speaker 1: favorite coffee beans and this is a gift that will
• 2:36
Speaker 1: hit a sweet spot immediately. I wear hats pretty much
• 2:39
Speaker 1: every day of my life, and the brand I recommend
• 2:42
Speaker 1: most often is ebbitts Field. The guy in your list
• 2:45
Speaker 1: could be a serious baseball fan or be totally clueless
• 2:48
Speaker 1: when it comes to sports, there's still a hat in
• 2:50
Speaker 1: the Ebbits lineup that he would look great at the
• 2:52
Speaker 1: craftsmanship and quality of these ball cabs is way better
• 2:56
Speaker 1: than the brands you might be more familiar with.
• 2:57
Speaker 2: The materials are top notch.
• 2:59
Speaker 1: You've got eighty five percent wool with a satin underbrim
• 3:02
Speaker 1: and a leather adjustable strap. And if he prefers fitted caps,
• 3:06
Speaker 1: they have those two. The teams that make up Ebitt's
• 3:09
Speaker 1: lineup go way deeper than just the major leagues. You've
• 3:12
Speaker 1: got throwbacks that are essentially history lessons in half form.
• 3:15
Speaker 2: Take this one for example.
• 3:16
Speaker 1: This is a nineteen thirty eight replica of the Newark
• 3:19
Speaker 1: Eagles hat, a Negro League's team from my home state
• 3:22
Speaker 1: of New Jersey, where Hall of Famer Larry Dobe got
• 3:24
Speaker 1: his start. There are dozens of other teams to choose from,
• 3:27
Speaker 1: including minor league teams, Japanese teams, and now even colleges.
• 3:31
Speaker 2: If you're shopping for.
• 3:32
Speaker 1: Someone with a lot of school spirit, those are some
• 3:34
Speaker 1: of the sharpest caps in the collection. If you're shopping
• 3:38
Speaker 1: for a di wire who likes to get his hands dirty,
• 3:40
Speaker 1: I love the Ryobi Link Rolling Toolbox as a gift.
• 3:44
Speaker 1: The Link Rolling Toolbox is step one to decluttering any
• 3:47
Speaker 1: MESSI garage Of course, it's a big box that can
• 3:50
Speaker 1: fit up to two hundred pounds of gear, but what
• 3:51
Speaker 1: stands out to me are the smaller sections, like this
• 3:54
Speaker 1: integrated bit storage, so his go to tools don't get
• 3:57
Speaker 1: buried under a mountain of other parts. To simply call
• 3:59
Speaker 1: this a this toolbox, though, would be selling it short.
• 4:01
Speaker 1: This is really more of a portable worksite sidekick. It
• 4:05
Speaker 1: has a telescoping steel handle and nine inch all terrain
• 4:08
Speaker 1: wheels to traverse bumpy gravel or deck stairs, and an
• 4:11
Speaker 1: IP sixty five waterproof rating and several locking points mean
• 4:15
Speaker 1: you won't have to worry about mud or rain damaging.
• 4:17
Speaker 2: His expensive power tools.
• 4:19
Speaker 1: My favorite part, though, has to be everything you don't
• 4:21
Speaker 1: see here, because this rolling toolbox is the foundation of
• 4:25
Speaker 1: Riobi's Link modular storage system. It's lego like lid makes
• 4:30
Speaker 1: it easy to stack more boxes on top, which come
• 4:32
Speaker 1: in different sizes and styles, and then down the road
• 4:35
Speaker 1: it can fit right in with an entire ecosystem of hooks, shelves, drawers,
• 4:39
Speaker 1: and more. The value is right on the money too.
• 4:42
Speaker 1: For under one hundred dollars, he'll get a gift that
• 4:44
Speaker 1: has utility in every season and professional grade durability to
• 4:48
Speaker 1: last for years now. I know there are people who
• 4:51
Speaker 1: will roll their eyes and say video games are for kids.
• 4:53
Speaker 2: You're entitled to that opinion.
• 4:55
Speaker 1: But if there's one thing I've learned from the switch
• 4:56
Speaker 1: To this year, it's that people of all ages can
• 4:59
Speaker 1: have a blast with the Nintendo's latest handheld system. Much
• 5:02
Speaker 1: like its predecessor, the switch To isn't tethered to the
• 5:05
Speaker 1: TV the way gaming consoles of previous generations work, and
• 5:08
Speaker 1: that's part of why I love it. I can gear
• 5:10
Speaker 1: up for a few Mario Kart races with my nephews,
• 5:12
Speaker 1: or catch up on a thick backlog of games during
• 5:15
Speaker 1: a long flight. But there are upgrades on board the
• 5:17
Speaker 1: switch too that make it worth gifting even if your
• 5:20
Speaker 1: recipient has had his hands on an og switch. Its
• 5:23
Speaker 1: screen is bigger, it performs faster, it packs more social
• 5:26
Speaker 1: features to play with friends from afar. Of course, great
• 5:29
Speaker 1: games are what make a gaming system worth it. Not
• 5:32
Speaker 1: only does the switch To unlock improved graphics on all
• 5:35
Speaker 1: timers like the Legend of Zelda Tears of the Kingdom,
• 5:38
Speaker 1: but it's the only way to play some of the
• 5:39
Speaker 1: new titles like DK Bonanza. Another underrated feature subscribed to
• 5:44
Speaker 1: Nintendo's online program, and his switch To instantly becomes a
• 5:47
Speaker 1: portal to the past, with virtual versions of classic systems
• 5:51
Speaker 1: like Nintendo's sixty four and Super Nintendo. Whether you're gifting
• 5:55
Speaker 1: this to a man who has nostalgia for the games
• 5:57
Speaker 1: of his childhood wants to share his hobby with his
• 5:59
Speaker 1: kids kids, the switch To has it all, so there
• 6:03
Speaker 1: you have it. Six gifts for any dude on the
• 6:05
Speaker 1: Nice List this year.
